- 0:09Second chance. Welcome to Dice Sized and
- 0:12welcome back to camp Second chance.
- 0:15This is AD and D audio adventure podcast where we tell bite
- 0:18sized, dice rolled twice told stories.
- 0:21This is me, your GM and friend salve.
- 0:24And with me, as always, is my cool, chaotic, colorful table of
- 0:28friends and family. Here we of course have.
- 0:30I have my brother-in-law, George.
- 0:32Hey, it's G playing Patty, no shoes, I mean goodie 2 shoes and
- 0:37I'm excited to be here. Excited to have all three of you
- 0:41at this table. Suiting for me to play more than
- 0:43one gear. And next we have Rob.
- 0:49Hi, that's me, Joey Trombone, the only guy that can take up
- 0:52more space in the the story and in a room than this little
- 0:56fucker with no shoes. Let me tell you, you might have
- 0:59two different personalities, but Joey Trombone got a big enough
- 1:02personality for all of us. So excited to be here.
- 1:05We'll see how it goes. Incredible.
- 1:07And last but certainly not least, we have a Maya.
- 1:11Hey, it's Maya, you can indeed call me Maya and also call me
- 1:14Monty because that is my name tonight and don't wear it out.
- 1:19Can't wait to see what scandals lie ahead of her.
- 1:22I do feel like Monty loves to hear her own name.
- 1:25Yes, yes, Monty is not like me in a lot of ways, but in that
- 1:32way we are the same and I am proud.
- 1:35Owning that personality that isn't yours.
- 1:37I like the sound of my own voice and.
- 1:41We like it too. You have probably already heard
- 1:44these players bring their characters to life, but if you
- 1:46missed it, check out session 0 of this Summer Camp story on the
- 1:49main feed. And if you want to hear how
- 1:51their first night at camp went, you can find a very special
- 1:55Session 0.5 on our Patreon exclusive feed.
- 1:58But not to worry if you aren't a premium subscriber.
- 2:00Here's a little recap of what happened at the end of intake
- 2:04day. Wait, Joey, it's your mother,
- 2:07Ma. Where are you, Joey?
- 2:08I thought you. You forgot your lunch again,
- 2:11Joey. Oh my my, this is a dream.
- 2:13Before she got into the. Recap I just wanted you to have
- 2:15your sandwich to. Be a dream, ma.
- 2:17You cannot canonically be here. No, I just gave it through the
- 2:21front door. I'll leave you all alone.
- 2:22I'm so sorry. Get out of your ma.
- 2:24I'm sorry you're embarrassing in front of me and my new friends.
- 2:27I'm in the podcaster now. I love you, Joey.
- 2:30Bye, Ma. In session 0.5, our campers made
- 2:35their way to the bonfire with a brief pit stop for some
- 2:38recreational troublemaking for a night of introductions and
- 2:41bonding. They met one of their lead
- 2:43chaperones, Lottie, and humored her request to make
- 2:47introductions and connect with fellow campers.
- 2:50But suddenly, a stray spark from the fire lit several crates
- 2:54ablaze, threatening to destroy camp supplies like sunscreen,
- 2:57bug spray, and most importantly, the S'mores supply.
- 3:02With no chaperones insight, some campers were indifferent and
- 3:06watched on as the fire grew. But others, including Joey,
- 3:09Monty and Goody, felt compelled to stop the blaze and save the
- 3:14snacks. A series of creative efforts
- 3:16including water schlepping, extinguisher hauling, cabin
- 3:19searching, explosive detonating, tree branch bending attempts to
- 3:23control the flames. These three troublemakers
- 3:26actually found a way to put out the fire and open up the supply
- 3:29crates, leveling up a few new skills along the way.
- 3:33Unfortunately, the only snack that survived were the crumbly
- 3:37remains of Nature Valley granola bars.
- 3:39But while their spirits remained broken, their bonds began to
- 3:43strengthen. Allegedly.
- 3:46You're not besties. Not yet.
- 3:48With these two, Monty, do you know who I am?
- 3:51Trauma bonded. This one I don't think.
- 3:54I don't think she likes me well. You don't have to like each
- 3:56other to be friends. Trope.
- 3:58Sort of. Sick like that.
- 4:00I'm a gentleman. What do you want from me?
- 4:01I'm I'm going to be, I'm going to be a friend of the lady and
- 4:04I'm and the weird kid. If I'm not friends with him, I'm
- 4:06going to be on his list. So let's hope not that.
- 4:11On his list. Joe, you're kind of in the
- 4:13middle of shoes on, shoes off. OK, OK, what?
- 4:16You're a sandal guy. Open.
- 4:19Toed shoes, yeah. Is that?
- 4:20Crocs. Yeah, I, I was my, my master's
- 4:23always wear steel toe boots because you, you never know what
- 4:27you what you're gonna step on at the beach.
- 4:29Protect your dogs. Steel Dog.
- 4:33You have sweaty feet is what I'm hearing.
- 4:34Well, I mean, I you don't look at them.
- 4:37Stop it. I would love nothing more than
- 4:39to not look at your feet. Well, yeah, you're going then
- 4:41quit looking at them, do you? Have to wear the mini shorts
- 4:44though. My mom said that long shorts are
- 4:47bad, bad for the, the health of the, the, the, the spermes or
- 4:51whatever. And then you went there, you
- 4:55went too long, then the heat builds up down there.
- 4:57I can hear your mom saying that, yeah.
- 4:59Yeah, the sperm. She calls him the sperm.
- 5:01I think that's called something else.
- 5:02I don't know. Skip that class in high school.
- 5:06What am I saying? I love that class in high school
- 5:07I. Don't know how many people
- 5:08didn't. This is Iowa.
- 5:10Are you talking about Wreck? Don't get too sweaty in gym
- 5:15class. As a reminder, Camp's Second
- 5:18Chance is a home brew adventure that uses the role for Shoes
- 5:20roll system, in which players start with one skill and one
- 5:23skill only. Everyone.
- 5:25Do anything one. That's right, players must
- 5:29successfully roll all sixes on their D6 rolls to develop new
- 5:33skills at higher levels, which allows them to increase the
- 5:35number of dice they roll as they face new challenges.
- 5:39They also gain XP that can be used to help them level up.
- 5:42For a full explanation of the rules, check out Session 0 or
- 5:45visit rollforshoes.com. George, Maya and Rob please list
- 5:51off the skills you were able to gather during Session 0.5 as
- 5:54Goody, Monty and Joey. Well Goody is just very attuned
- 6:00to puzzles. I have a + 2 to my puzzles and
- 6:04another skill I have is running without shoes.
- 6:07Incredible. I like to take him off.
- 6:08He's fast. He's fast when he's barefoot
- 6:11only. No, not again.
- 6:12Goody good, put it back on. It's just, it feels good.
- 6:16In session zero, we had Monty's high heels.
- 6:21Now we've talked a lot about both of your shoes and feet.
- 6:25I'm sensing a theme. Well, you're gonna have to put
- 6:28foot stuff in the content. Steel toed boots at the beach.
- 6:34Somebody's thing. Joey what it skills to do
- 6:36acquire? Sorry, sorry Ma, if I if I was
- 6:40supposed to be next, I'm sorry, So sorry miss Lottie.
- 6:42But first I, I tried so many things before I got to this, but
- 6:47I first learned demolitions. So that was fun and I, I learned
- 6:51to read which exciting. But then because of that, later
- 6:56that day I had an opportunity and I read between the lines.
- 7:00And that's my favorite skill because I've got, yeah, my name
- 7:03is Joey Trombone and I've got Between the Lines.
- 7:05Between the lines 3. That's pretty impressive.
- 7:07Between the lines three. Yeah.
- 7:08Incredible. Yeah.
- 7:09It's kind of brain blasty, you know?
- 7:11Right. He's got that intuition.
- 7:13That's fair. You could say that.
- 7:16Monty, what about you? Monty started off with Memory
- 7:19Plus 2 because every good socialite remembers every detail
- 7:23about their party guests. Who?
- 7:25She then later rolled for Swole trying to break some branches
- 7:29and she's buff as hell from all those Pilate classes she takes
- 7:33before school. And then at the end, she rolled
- 7:36for surveillance plus three because again, you know, you
- 7:41always gotta know what's going on if you're he loves.
- 7:43To surveil what's in that, I think it's past.
- 7:46Monty Ohh yeah, you were kind of brain blasty too.
- 7:50We we both kind of got. Brain blasty things.
- 7:51That's pretty cool. What's in the bed?
- 7:55Hopefully not ahead. Yay.
- 7:57I can't wait to see how you guys use these skills to navigate
- 8:00camp life, but I'm especially eager to see what new skills you
- 8:04develop for your first full day at camp.
- 8:07Second chance. I know I said your XP wouldn't
- 8:10transfer from session to session, but I'd love to give
- 8:13each of you with three XP to kick off this adventure.
- 8:18Ah, from putting the fire out, because we are so good about
- 8:20that. So, so good at that.
- 8:22Yes. So without further.
- 8:25Ado fuck that guy. Never fucking shows up that guy.
- 8:29So absent. Somewhere across camp, a rooster
- 8:33crows as the sun peeks up and into the windows of your dusty
- 8:39cabin. Speakers crackle to life
- 8:42throughout campus. Reveille blares loudly as you
- 8:47rub the sleep out of your eyes and realize where you are.
- 8:51Camp Second Chance wasn't just another nightmare.
- 8:55You're really here, shipped off like cattle by your family and
- 8:58expected to conform. Straighten up and get your act
- 9:02together so you can finally stop letting them down.
- 9:06As your first full day at camp begins, you understand that
- 9:09you're expected to join your cohort of fellow campers in the
- 9:12cafeteria by 7:00 AM for breakfast.
- 9:15Miss it and you'll go hungry till lunch.
- 9:19It's 6:30 and depending on your typical morning routine, this
- 9:23might be a tough start for you really quickly.
- 9:26What do these 30 minutes look like for each of you?
- 9:29What time did you say we're waking up at?
- 9:31Reveley. Do you all know Reveley?
- 9:37Reveley is played pumped through the speakers at 6:30 and you
- 9:40have to be to the cafeteria, probably a 4 minute walk by 7.
- 9:45Monty. Wakes up with.
- 9:47A shock and hearing the rooster wide bright eyes open, her
- 9:53curlers are in her hair and she is just.
- 9:56What is this? Rural.
- 9:58Nightmare that I've found myself in a rooster for an alarm clock.
- 10:02Oh my gosh. Hey, Monty.
- 10:04Oh my God. Oh my God.
- 10:05I thought it was a dream. I thought it was a dream.
- 10:08I'm bending over the edge of the bunk from the top bunk and
- 10:10looking down at you. Oh.
- 10:11Don't touch my rollers. I I I've been away for a while,
- 10:16you make weird noises when you sleep.
- 10:18I'm a lady. How dare you say something as
- 10:21that? I I sleep like an Angel.
- 10:28Cartoonishly silly snore issues away from a few beds away as to
- 10:34where I think actually Goody and Joey actually asleep.
- 10:37I don't know why you're on top of her bunk.
- 10:39I think I'm on top of your bunk. I'm just bent down, leaning
- 10:42over, looking in. So you.
- 10:44Yeah, I've been for a while. Joey's just like the the bed
- 10:47vibrates. It's the entire thing.
- 10:49It's like being in an earthquake every time he breathes.
- 10:54I can't believe I'm sleeping in a room with other people.
- 10:57OK. So do you guys jump out of bed
- 10:59and get moving or are you sort of sluggish to the?
- 11:01Start I think Monty like puts her Peach pink comforter back
- 11:05over her head and just like. I think at that Joey just kind
- 11:11of startles awake and and like. Rolls falls to the floor.
- 11:15And you just hear him yell, but ma, the flower, the flowers, was
- 11:19that a rooster flower was What was that?
- 11:22Where are we? It was a rooster.
- 11:23Oh, hey, Joey. Yeah, you.
- 11:26You might have sleep apnea. You're an.
- 11:31Asshole too. No, I'm.
- 11:33I'm just trying to be helpful, but do you mind if I just put a
- 11:36sock in your mouth next time I. Don't.
- 11:37I don't have sleep after me. It's not coming after me.
- 11:43It's. I try really hard to get it
- 11:44actually. Yeah, you know what?
- 11:47Never mind. Do you guys want to go to
- 11:49breakfast? Yeah, I'm, I'm starving.
- 11:52What time is it? I just it's a riflery Rooster
- 11:56o'clock. I I, I eat at.
- 11:58I eat at. 9 I think it's upside down 9.
- 12:01Fucking you and all with the the smarts and stuff.
- 12:03Let's get on. It's 6:30.
- 12:07The rest of the campers are sort of getting their stuff together.
- 12:09Some of them are bold enough to try and squeak in a shower,
- 12:11Other of them are just going to wear their pyjamas and look a
- 12:14mess and head to the cafeteria. Having just talked to Goody and
- 12:20seeing all of like the students, I imagine I'd get like bumped by
- 12:23one of them as like they're kind of going out.
- 12:26And then I actually see Monty or any other female in their like
- 12:31night clothes, as my mother would call them.
- 12:34And I just say, oh God, I'm sorry.
- 12:36I Are you ready? Are you ready to be seen?
- 12:41Not quite. Hold on Puts on her silk robe,
- 12:44her fluffy pink slippers, ties it up, Roller still in the hair.
- 12:49OK, I'm ready now. OK, your face is on or whatever.
- 12:53My mom, my mom, my mom says when her face isn't on.
- 12:56I wouldn't like go to see her. Yeah.
- 12:57I wake up like this. She did not.
- 12:59She woke up two hours ago to put on her makeup to then wake up
- 13:03with makeup. On can Monty roll surveillance
- 13:06right now having snuck out and like I imagine you like
- 13:09literally creeping out early hours to like have a full.
- 13:16Slam sesh. I got to get my 5:00 to 9:00 or
- 13:18get my 95. Oh my God.
- 13:20Wait, Joey, your your mom can take her face off?
- 13:24My mom could take her face off. OK, well, you're saying it in a
- 13:29way that is really terrifying. I think my mom, like for for
- 13:33her, I think it was just skin. Like I think she had skin.
- 13:35I think her face would. It's make up you imbecile.
- 13:39Oh, can I have a makeup wipe? Throws them across the room.
- 13:44The dynamic of these three is truly doing something for my
- 13:48soul. I don't know where the fuck you.
- 13:50Pulled this this character. Out.
- 13:53Of it's. Blowing my mind.
- 13:57I think I'm realizing. Anyway, movie God.
- 14:00Drama trumpet Monty would. After securing her silk robes
- 14:09and her fluffy slippers, she would start to gather herself to
- 14:14head to the cafeteria and she's grumbling the whole time.
- 14:16Like sleep with people and have to eat in the same room as other
- 14:19people. This is ridiculous.
- 14:21I mean, this is horrific shared spaces.
- 14:23Monty's never experienced something like this before.
- 14:26The horrors, the oppression. Yeah.
- 14:29And like when she has sleepovers, they do not sleep in
- 14:32her room. They're they sleep in the guest
- 14:33room, Right? And you've never once slept over
- 14:35anywhere else? I'd imagine no.
- 14:38Without Patrice to make me my special breakfast.
- 14:42The. Horrors, no.
- 14:44If Patrice can't come, I'm not going.
- 14:45Monty, you are you you not a morning person?
- 14:48You. You seem really upset.
- 14:50It's not that I'm not a morning person.
- 14:52I think the sun is great for your skin, but it's more like
- 14:55I'm not a morning person with all of you.
- 14:57You know what I mean? Like this type of morning is not
- 15:00my morning. Are you really like Patrice or
- 15:02whatever her name is? Her name is Patrice.
- 15:04Thank you for remembering. She is my best friend and nanny.
- 15:07Yeah. And I'm really disappointed
- 15:08she's not here. I actually tried to call her a
- 15:10couple of times last night to see if she could join me, but
- 15:12apparently that's like, against the camp rules or whatever.
- 15:14But like, I'll talk to them about it later.
- 15:16My dad will call. What's something that Patrice
- 15:18would do for you that maybe Joey and I could do for you?
- 15:22Right, Joey? Sure, sure.
- 15:24Yeah, yeah. Anything for a lady.
- 15:25Could you make me authentic Russian pancakes?
- 15:29Well, I yeah, I might be Russian.
- 15:32Joey, Joey, do you know how to make Russian you're.
- 15:33Definitely in a hurry, but I don't think you're rushing.
- 15:35Oh, that. I could make you pancake shit, I
- 15:38don't know if I could rush. It's like a really specific type
- 15:43of pancake and I just I'm going to be fine.
- 15:46It's great. She actually packed me some.
- 15:48She pulls out these like squished ass pancakes.
- 15:52I I think I, she only sent me enough rations for like 3
- 15:55mornings. So I'm sorry I will not be
- 15:57sharing. Yeah, well, I mean, I, yeah, I,
- 15:59you've seen that you would like, really want me to want them.
- 16:02I'm just like, yeah, they look delicious.
- 16:03They are delicious, thank you. OK, well, can I?
- 16:07Yeah, I have one. No, I think we should go find
- 16:09whatever mush they're feeding us in the cafeteria.
- 16:11Yeah. I mean, I think if we don't make
- 16:13it, we'll probably maybe they won't even feed us.
- 16:15Goodies gonna take their shoes off and run without shoes.
- 16:20To the cafeteria. To the cafeteria.
- 16:21Cool. Let's say you've got running
- 16:25without shoes too. Is your goal to make it to the
- 16:28cafeteria first? Yes.
- 16:30All right, this is going to be so you're going to roll 2 dies
- 16:32since you have running without shoes 2 and the check is going
- 16:35to be a 7 to get there first. That's 2 ones.
- 16:43Wow. Oh boy.
- 16:45You gotta rub the sleep out of your toes.
- 16:47It sounds like they're feeling a little crusty.
- 16:49Is there a critical fail in this game?
- 16:51There's not, but there's no way you're making anyone rushing
- 16:53pancakes today. I think Goody is just confused
- 16:58on whether or not they want their shoes on or off.
- 16:59So OK, OK, I can just be faster if I take my shoes off.
- 17:02You should don't be one in one. Nobody, nobody.
- 17:04And then I confuse the hell out of myself and I'm going in a
- 17:06circle because I take 1 shoe off and I just don't know how to
- 17:09deal with the stimuli. So you find Batty maybe like
- 17:12that's the. Beaten path.
- 17:14Just doing circles around a tree.
- 17:15Amazing. OK, the chaperones are
- 17:17encouraging you to get to the cafeteria, so eventually you
- 17:20make your way there. On the menu today, an
- 17:24unidentifiable bowl of colorless oatmeal slop, A suspiciously
- 17:29slippery biscuit and a bruised banana.
- 17:32Yum. As you go to take your seats,
- 17:36trays in hand, you see a mulleted man in Chuck Taylor's
- 17:40step onto an empty table at the other end of the room.
- 17:44He claps a few times before hollering at you.
- 17:47Morning, campers. I'd say good morning, except
- 17:51most of you don't look so good. Excuse me.
- 17:56Sorry. I'll let you finish.
- 17:57Yeah. Especially you.
- 17:58I'm going. To need you to say sorry to her.
- 18:01Yeah, I don't want to have to take my shoes off.
- 18:04I missed her. I.
- 18:05Already had to put him back on once, I mean.
- 18:07Wait gentlemen, I have the floor up earlier than you're used to
- 18:12I'd guess. He chuckles to himself.
- 18:16But never fear my new found friend, we'll make morning
- 18:19people out of you yet anyway. My name is Brock.
- 18:25Monty gasps after hearing Bach Brock fuck whatever his name is.
- 18:30Oh, interesting my. Mom says not to trust people
- 18:32with voices like that. And I'm head counselor around
- 18:35this joint, around this place. Don't want any of you
- 18:39troublemakers getting any ideas. Drugs and alcohol are strictly
- 18:43prohibited here at camp. Second chance.
- 18:46First things first, make sure to finish your breakfast.
- 18:49It's brain food and judging by your rap sheets, you freaks need
- 18:52all the help you can get. Secondly, the moment I know
- 18:56you've all been waiting. For.
- 18:58Talent Show sign Ups Once you've cleared your plate, step up to
- 19:03the clipboard here and let us know what talent you'll be
- 19:05bringing to the staves this evening.
- 19:08Don't worry, you'll have time to practice your talents later
- 19:11today. Participation is mandatory and
- 19:14before you start whining, you should know that the winner of
- 19:17the talent show will get to enjoy a once in a lifetime
- 19:20opportunity. You'll be among the first to
- 19:22experience this year's Lantern path, accompanied by up to two
- 19:26friends, followed by an unsupervised night under the
- 19:30stars. In a tent.
- 19:33I got to win that fucking talent show, guys.
- 19:35Guys, I got to win that fucking talent show.
- 19:37The Lanterns. You want it but real bad it
- 19:40seems like. Oh yeah, I'll do anything.
- 19:41The campers around you are hooting and hollering as you
- 19:44sort of digest this information about what he said about the
- 19:47talent show and what the prize is.
- 19:48What's? The What's the deal with some
- 19:50lanterns? Who's going to tell him that
- 19:51talent shows are so tacky? Are you going to do tech stuff?
- 19:55I know you're all so excited to perform your talents.
- 19:58OK, OK, OK. Despite what you may or may not
- 20:02have heard, the Lantern Path is a treasured tradition here at
- 20:06Camp Second Chance. It's an opportunity.
- 20:08To shed your. Troublemaking tendencies and
- 20:11find your. Path.
- 20:12And that's not just a metaphor. I can't give anything else away
- 20:16about the path, but you'll have to trust.
- 20:17That it'll be worth it to bring your.
- 20:19Best talents to the table tonight.
- 20:21Brock. Ow.
- 20:24OK, Maya loves Brock. Monty.
- 20:28Yeah. Brock's amazing, but I will say
- 20:30that Joe is seething right now. Like he's like he's got 4/4
- 20:33fingers up the number of times he needs to say sorry for you.
- 20:36My my, my, good, good. My Juliet Rose.
- 20:39He he he talks like my uncle and smells like skunk.
- 20:42Yeah, he talks. Well, I mean, he doesn't talk.
- 20:44I don't have any family members like that.
- 20:46My mom says that anyone that talks like a surfer is something
- 20:48that is either they think they're in heightened and they
- 20:51they should go jump off a Cliff, she says.
- 20:53But they definitely need to wear their steel toe boots.
- 20:56I mean, if you're not going to wear your steel toe boots, how
- 20:57are you going to reach the bottom of the ocean so you can
- 20:59walk out of there? He he had those weird shoes on
- 21:03that like go between your toes. Oh, die, die, die, die the
- 21:07Vibers. Yeah, whatever.
- 21:08Yeah, yeah. They were Chuck Taylors, for the
- 21:11record. I think Monty, after hearing
- 21:14that his name is Brock, wants to roll for surveillance to see if
- 21:17Lottie's in the room and what she's doing.
- 21:20I love it. Let's see, so you have
- 21:22Surveillance 3, so you'll roll three die and that's going to be
- 21:26a check of. 12 That's an 11. I want to go to you so bad 11 so
- 21:36close. OK, so Lottie is in the room.
- 21:38She's checking out her own clipboard.
- 21:41Looks like she's running through the days sort of itinerary as
- 21:44Brock says Brock out and throws up his peace sign and jumps from
- 21:48the table. She's sort of like coyly
- 21:50chuckles to herself and looks away and you can see maybe a
- 21:54little bit of a blush on her cheek.
- 21:57Interesting. Can I try to roll between the
- 21:59lines on that to see if I can maybe read between the lines
- 22:02absolutely what that interaction was like?
- 22:04Between the lines 3 Let's see it.
- 22:06I'm gonna bump the check down to 10.
- 22:09I would wonder if you would say that Monty is helping this
- 22:10because I would lead to Monty and be like, hey Monty, what are
- 22:12you looking at? You got good eyes.
- 22:14OK, so last night when we were on our way back to the cabin,
- 22:17right, Lottie had disappeared. So she came back right OK and I
- 22:21ran into her and wait. Wait, start, start from the from
- 22:25the beginning. I was not listening.
- 22:26I why? Why?
- 22:26I can tell what you're saying is important now though, so I need
- 22:28you to back up. OK, last night on the way back
- 22:30from the cabins to the cabins, ran into Lottie.
- 22:34Her lipstick smear, her face. Suspect girl, her necklace.
- 22:39AB. Sess.
- 22:40Do you know who we just met? Brock.
- 22:42Do you know what Brock starts with?
- 22:44I know you know, you just rolled for Reed.
- 22:45Yeah, you're right. Beat.
- 22:47Anyways, so I think that they have a relationship and I think
- 22:51that we should abuse it. And you know what?
- 22:54I think the fire started when they were gone.
- 22:56It did. They left us.
- 22:58Unsupervised and put us in an incredibly dangerous situation
- 23:01with campers that did not care about their well-being.
- 23:05At. All goodie, I'm going to need
- 23:06you to keep your shoes on for a little bit longer.
- 23:08We have to win this talent show so we can find out what's
- 23:11happening between these religious.
- 23:12Blackmail. OK, you need to not do that
- 23:15whatever it was I need. To say a little bit more chill,
- 23:18I actually agree with Joey on this point.
- 23:20I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I just I get excited when I get
- 23:22to do bad. Things.
- 23:23You have a lot of good points, especially about the politics of
- 23:26it all, but there's some there's some points in the manifesto,
- 23:28especially when it just devolves into like gibberish, like
- 23:31literally you're using a lot of punctuation at points where I'm
- 23:34not sure if it makes sense. Is that what you're doing in the
- 23:37manifesto, That sound? So yes, Monty, Monty, do you?
- 23:44Oh, maybe you could blackmail her for pancakes.
- 23:48Goody, I have never heard you say something smarter.
- 23:50Thanks. That is a brilliant idea.
- 23:52We could get elevated gestures at her tray, whatever this is.
- 23:58As elevated as Brock was on whatever, he was on we.
- 24:00Could maybe even get some quinoa.
- 24:03What's? Quinoa.
- 24:05What's Quinoa? OK Monty, are you helping Rob
- 24:09with this role by informing him of the story?
- 24:11Yes. OK cool, I love it.
- 24:13Rob, you have read between the lines 3, so roll three die and
- 24:17your check is a 10. OK, here we.
- 24:19Go. Ish.
- 24:23That is just a nine, but plus Monty's plus one help is a 10.
- 24:30XP that I used to help him or just a general?
- 24:33Just if you can sort of role play the way one of your skills
- 24:37can help one of your teammates, they just get a nice plus one.
- 24:40So the only time you'll spend XP is if you've got one or two
- 24:43sixes and you want to try and bump all of your dice that
- 24:46you've rolled to sixes so that you can gain a new skill.
- 24:49That's when you'll use. XP.
- 24:51That's right. OK.
- 24:52So having rolled A10, what do I find out about this stuff going
- 24:55on with Lottie and Brock? UC.
- 24:59A fat tattoo on Brock Cap of loties Busted face.
- 25:06I shouldn't say busted face. She's beautiful.
- 25:08She looks like your mom. About to punch through the 4th
- 25:10wall at you? The tattoo artist.
- 25:12Bad tattoo artist. No.
- 25:14Is it infected? It was.
- 25:17That's bad, that's bad, that's not good.
- 25:19I think you can successfully confirm that these two are
- 25:22fucking. Yeah, that, that reminds me of
- 25:24my first tattoo I got in my ma. I didn't go to the shop, she
- 25:26said. She said I should really go to
- 25:28the shop and I I didn't, I didn't listen.
- 25:30And. Did you go to your friend's like
- 25:31basement or something? I heard people do that.
- 25:33How did how did you get a tattoo?
- 25:36I'll just, I'll just, I'll just show you.
- 25:38He shows you the Gnarlest tattoo on his lower rib cage.
- 25:43It was pretty painful, like it's.
- 25:45Literally oozing Joey, are you? OK, no, it's, I mean it's, it
- 25:49stops oozing every other month. So it's, it's obviously healing.
- 25:53Good. He touches it and it squirts.
- 25:56That's actually relatively pretty painful.
- 25:58So anyway, check check this one out though.
- 26:00And he puts down his sleeve on his like right shoulder and he's
- 26:03got like a beautifully done and classic like heart with barbed
- 26:07wire. It just says mom it.
- 26:12Just says mom. Oh wow.
- 26:13That's very sweet. I can tell you love your mother
- 26:15a lot. What can I say?
- 26:16I learned from my lessons. But is that Lottie's face?
- 26:22Well, I think it's supposed to be, but I would never say that
- 26:25because Lottie looks and reminds me like my, my mother.
- 26:29So I, I, I can't, I, I yeah, I think it's supposed to be.
- 26:32But honestly, whoever did it deserve.
- 26:34Die. It's terrible.
- 26:35OK, OK, we're going to keep this.
- 26:38I'm going to note this and we're not going to be very loud about
- 26:42it. Brock's weaknesses.
- 26:43His tattoo. Don't.
- 26:44Don't scream it right now. Don't scream it right now, OK?
- 26:46No, I. Love the way you all just team
- 26:49worked your way through that curiosity.
- 26:51OK, so you've been instructed to finish your breakfast and sign
- 26:54up for the talent show. What sort of do you do?
- 26:57I should note that you don't have to have any talents ready
- 26:59for the talent show just yet. You will have time to refine
- 27:02them today while we play. My mom would want me to make her
- 27:05proud, so I got to figure out what I'm best at today.
- 27:09I've been trying to figure it out for a long time, but today
- 27:12I'm going to figure out my. And he says this next word with
- 27:15the most utter and sincere, genuine intensity.
- 27:21Talent. I got to figure out my talent
- 27:23today. Joey, have you really, I don't
- 27:26want to push you this way, but have you ever tried the
- 27:28trombone? Kid, I'm telling you right now,
- 27:31I wouldn't be good at it. I don't have the ambusher.
- 27:33I really I Joey, I just, I think you might be a natural.
- 27:37They called me Joey Trombone, and I think you might have
- 27:40missed it. I was just talking at the window
- 27:42when I said it. They call me Joey Trombone
- 27:45because when I was in band, I didn't go to band.
- 27:50They didn't even call me by my name.
- 27:51They just say Joey Trombone because the it's just the
- 27:54trombone and the CI Joey Joey never showed up.
- 27:57So no, I can't face no trombone right now, man.
- 28:01Goody, Goody. What are you good at?
- 28:04I mean, you could win for us. You want to win so bad?
- 28:07I can take my shoes off. I think there's an Internet
- 28:09service. I think you should keep your.
- 28:11Shoes on, Monty. Knows best, right?
- 28:13We listen to Monty. Yes, yes I could.
- 28:17I'm really good at climbing, running.
- 28:20I can do tricks with my shoelaces.
- 28:23I take my shoelaces out of my shoes and I do like a wildcat's
- 28:27cradle mandala between my fingers.
- 28:29Would you like to roll do anything to see if you can
- 28:31develop a shoelace skill? Sure OK, it is also very puzzle
- 28:36esque so I would also give you the chance.
- 28:38You could either roll a die or do anything and try and level up
- 28:42a new skill more specific to. Maybe.
- 28:45Finger tricks and shoelaces. Or you could roll Puzzles 2 and
- 28:50attempt to gain a skill at a level.
- 28:52Three, I'm going to roll a do anything and aim for like a
- 28:57knots string. Very cool, what does it do?
- 29:02Damn. It looks bad, it might look bad.
- 29:05I'm really bad at this and the shoelaces are sweaty and gross
- 29:08and it's. Really cool.
- 29:10You're learning, man. I can tell.
- 29:11I can tell you're learning a lot from me, no?
- 29:12Look. And I put it right in Joey's
- 29:14face. OK, OK.
- 29:15That is that macrame or is that just?
- 29:18The smell? No, that is macaroni.
- 29:21OK, yeah, Macaroni string art. I love that.
- 29:24OK. Well, we have the afternoon, we
- 29:25can keep that the same, right? Maybe shower.
- 29:29OK. We'll figure something out.
- 29:31My name is. I had so many things she
- 29:32probably could cover for both of us.
- 29:34You unfortunately do have to sign up for your talent at
- 29:37breakfast. Oh, OK, well, we got to figure
- 29:39out right now. Joey, what if we spent the
- 29:43afternoon picking wildflowers and then you brought them to the
- 29:46talent show and identified the flowers?
- 29:49I got. Well, The thing is, I would need
- 29:50my book and I would need several hours per flower.
- 29:54To figure it out, there's. A lot of flowers out.
- 29:57There what if I help you read? I know I can do that.
- 30:01Oh yeah, but faster. OK, well, I mean, I'm, I'm
- 30:04pretty good. +2. I've been feeling inspired
- 30:09lately about that. OK, here's the thing.
- 30:12Do we have to perform our talents individually?
- 30:15It would be great if you all had individual talents to bring to
- 30:18the table. You would have more
- 30:19opportunities to roll successfully when you enter the
- 30:23stage and attempt your talent. However, teaming up for a
- 30:27talent, you know, we could work around that.
- 30:29We could find ways to make that happen.
- 30:32Can Monty roll for party tricks? For the talent show, yes.
- 30:37Yeah. You want to roll for something
- 30:39before you commit. To a skill on this.
- 30:41Because this is a staring at you.
- 30:43Wait a minute. Monty has no talents that she
- 30:47can think of currently, but. She.
- 30:49Does have a very good talent at finding other talented people
- 30:54and making them perform tricks at her party.
- 30:56She's the cruise director. Yes, yes, roll, do anything one
- 31:01and we'll see what we get. Not party tricks.
- 31:07Well, so The thing is, I do have one thing that I think like a,
- 31:11like a superpower would one day be enlightened inside of me.
- 31:17My my father's. My father's the greatest con man
- 31:20that's ever hit this side of Iowa.
- 31:25I love the word canonically in Iowa who just leaned in hardcore
- 31:28Midwest. I mean, he's, he's, he's a man
- 31:30of the con. He's a man of the con.
- 31:33He's a man of the. Con man of the con.
- 31:35Anyways, I'd like to roll for Magic St.
- 31:37Magic preferably. You can roll do anything one.
- 31:41Sure. Can you tell me how you sort of?
- 31:45That's a 5 and I'm going to spend an XP to to to boost that
- 31:48to a six. I love it.
- 31:50Tell me how at breakfast, with your supplies and everything you
- 31:53have, how are you practicing magic?
- 31:57Well, so The thing is, I you're right, I really should have
- 31:59justified that with role play first.
- 32:01So do you want my shoelaces? OK, thank you.
- 32:05Shoelaces out of my face please. Anyways, I've never been good at
- 32:08cards, but I've never tried to perform.
- 32:11The thing is, I've always just been at home and I play, I play
- 32:14a lot of solitaire and I figure it one day I'll just click
- 32:16right. Yeah, maybe you need the.
- 32:18Pressure. You know, all the good
- 32:20superheroes finally get their powers once they're like, under
- 32:23pressure and afraid. That's what I'm saying, Monty.
- 32:26Pick a card and if I don't get it right, kick me right in the
- 32:29testicles. OK, can I, can I slap you?
- 32:32Yeah, yeah, do that anyways, just give me slap.
- 32:34You didn't realize that you were OK.
- 32:37Yeah, that's. I'm fresh now I'm.
- 32:39I'm rethinking the testicle thing, but I think I.
- 32:41Got it. I've got my.
- 32:42Card and I'm ready to kick you. And I shuffle the cards and then
- 32:47I take a subsection out, throw it across the room.
- 32:53I say, Monty, don't put your car in that chunk of cards over
- 32:56there. Oh, the ones you just threw.
- 32:58Yeah, yeah, yeah. OK, she's like stands up, closes
- 33:01her robe again, tightens it, shuffles over to the pile of
- 33:04cards and just like, drops it on the ground, walks back.
- 33:08So this next part is a little bit weird.
- 33:10This okay that this part is weird.
- 33:14I mean, it's all kind of weird. Both I did it Is this a is?
- 33:20This a card, Joey. That's my card.
- 33:22We're going to win this, you guys, we're going to win this.
- 33:25We might have to do with the three of us for your thing, but
- 33:27we'll have our things too. But I think this real magic that
- 33:30I just witnessed is going to win it.
- 33:32Joey, I believe in you. Monty looked away for 1/2
- 33:35second. I just shoved it.
- 33:37I just shoved. Oh my God, I didn't.
- 33:44Notice. OK, Monty's like piling her
- 33:46nails buttering. Her face, Yeah, like in.
- 33:50Between bites like I've eaten this like slop and gruel, she's
- 33:53just. Like bullet time, I find the
- 33:55perfect moment to time. Like with yeah, Monty's look
- 33:59away and like into Goody's mouth so that he doesn't even realize
- 34:03it. Wow.
- 34:04OK. So are you as a group committing
- 34:06to this talent for the talent show together?
- 34:09I'd need a couple of assistance if they want to, but I would
- 34:11never want to outshine Monty and good.
- 34:13He's got so many, he's got a big brain.
- 34:15I won't want to outdo him either, so.
- 34:16I'll be your assistant for your trick, but I think I will also
- 34:19be bringing my own to the table. Okay, well, I don't think
- 34:22assistants do that, but. I mean, I think he's just magic.
- 34:26I think he can do one of us the. Three of us have to win, so the
- 34:28more of us that have a talent, the more likelihood.
- 34:32That will win. You weren't talking about being
- 34:34my assistant and then suddenly having a talent alongside me
- 34:37that was better than my magic. OK, that's what I was afraid.
- 34:40Of yes, I'll go first and then I'll be your assistant so that
- 34:43your magic trick looks cooler than what I do.
- 34:46And I got the great lady on my arm.
- 34:47This will work perfect. I love it.
- 34:51OK, goody. What about you?
- 34:52Are you gonna participate in the magic?
- 34:54Are you gonna do both? Sort of like Monty.
- 34:56Well, I, I, I did, you know, I had to do a lot of his
- 34:59extracurriculars to be, you know, the good.
- 35:02So I didn't learn to sing. And he just goes into like an
- 35:13Italian opera. Wow.
- 35:15Italian opera, that's. Man, that's amazing.
- 35:18Do I make you cry? He's just like my mom.
- 35:23Okay, sweet. So we have, it sounds like 3
- 35:26talents that we're submitting for this evenings talent show.
- 35:29We've got the group of all three of you performing magic and some
- 35:34accoutrement. We've got Monty bringing
- 35:38something we'll find out about later and Goody singing.
- 35:43Yep. I, I, I'm not telling Goody this
- 35:45right now, but mentally I'm planning a big surprise for his
- 35:48show. He's not, he's not going to
- 35:50just, he's not going to be up alone out there.
- 35:51He's going to go out with a bang, just like casino night.
- 35:54Casino night went badly, but this time it's going to go good.
- 35:57Less demolition, I think, and we'll be good.
- 35:58Because there's no ulterior motive.
- 35:59Last time I blew everything up so I could steal a bunch of
- 36:01money. This time I'm just going to blow
- 36:03everything up. Nobody will hate that at all.
- 36:04To be like fireworks. Breakfast bell rings.
- 36:09I hope you finished your food. Now you have some free time to
- 36:13kill at camp so you can explore different areas of the grounds.
- 36:16Though you have been told that the Lantern path is off limits,
- 36:20you can practice your talents for the talent show or anything
- 36:23else your troublemaking hearts desire.
- 36:26What do you all want to do? Oh, interesting.
- 36:30So assuming we all go up and sign up for these talents, you
- 36:32just said OK, cool. So as we walk out, I think I'll
- 36:34look toward Monty and be like, OK, so yeah, there's I saw a lot
- 36:39of you looking at Brock. Earlier or whatever.
- 36:40But you're the one that saw at 1st and yeah, I can, I can tell
- 36:43something's going on between them.
- 36:44They'd definitely be blinking or whatever, but does that matter?
- 36:50I mean I guess the fire was bad but like.
- 36:52They didn't 'cause it. We didn't get any snacks.
- 36:55Well, we got those Nature Valley bars.
- 36:57Thankfully, no ad. Yeah, just.
- 37:01It's not the fact that they're sleeping together.
- 37:04That's not a bad thing. You know, people can get their
- 37:06rocks off the way that they want to, but.
- 37:08Well after marriage. Right.
- 37:11So that's interesting to know about you.
- 37:17My body is a temple. I'm sorry if this isn't.
- 37:19No, and I think you should respect it as such.
- 37:21But we could use this to our advantage to win.
- 37:25You know, if our talents don't blow them away the way we hope
- 37:27it would, maybe a little bit of gentle blackmail might work.
- 37:32Yes, also what is blinking? Well, so it's it's.
- 37:37When two people love each other very much.
- 37:41They don't have to, they just have to be married.
- 37:43Right. So when two people are joined
- 37:46legally in the state of law, they are allowed to rub their
- 37:53parts together. Like elbows and stuff.
- 37:56Elbows and stuff. Knees, ankles, toes.
- 37:59Why? Why would you?
- 38:01Why would you do that? It feels really good.
- 38:03The elbows. Would you?
- 38:05Would you want to rub elbows with me?
- 38:07No, I would I I don't want to rub.
- 38:11Elbows with you. But I think that we could use
- 38:16this information for for our benefit.
- 38:19Hey, good. Goody.
- 38:20Come here. Come here.
- 38:20Yeah. Good.
- 38:21I I pull a very aside. Just a little bit.
- 38:23Thank God. You you don't ask a woman about
- 38:25her elbows. No elbows.
- 38:27I told my mom that she needed to lose her elbows one time.
- 38:29She smacked up about the head so, so hard I forgot where I
- 38:32lived. I did hit my elbow once with
- 38:34Bennett and I think they called it the the funny bone.
- 38:37I boinked it real hard. I I I was boinking all day.
- 38:40Yeah, yeah, that is. Sure, OK, I'm super down for the
- 38:43boink black pail. OK, OK, Mission boink.
- 38:46Blackmail. Great.
- 38:48Boy Camille. My point is, pull them back
- 38:51aside. My point is, I ain't no
- 38:53gentleman right. You got manners and stuff.
- 38:56You got big ideas. You.
- 38:57If there's if there's anyone that Monty might like, it's you.
- 39:02Well. I mean, I've never really hung
- 39:04out with anybody. I really, I always just had to
- 39:06get good grades. I had to do everything that my
- 39:07mom and dad told me, and I'd really not really done anything.
- 39:10Buddy, this is your shot, and I'm not going to get in the way
- 39:12of that, OK? You might be a little man, but
- 39:14you're a big man and I can tell. I can tell.
- 39:16And so I just want to let you know I'm behind.
- 39:19You, I will say. Could he use his lay them
- 39:20pronouns? Yeah, yeah, you're right.
- 39:22I'm sorry. First of all, I'm also an
- 39:24insensitive bastard, so, you know, let me miss gender.
- 39:27You do. I mean, I've been, I've been,
- 39:29you know, called a lot of things.
- 39:31I just, I, I chose they them because I don't really have no
- 39:33idea of really what I am. I I really identify as, you
- 39:36know, goody or Batty or shoes or no shoes.
- 39:40And I haven't really thought a whole lot about elbows.
- 39:43I did hear that they confirmed life life sustaining environment
- 39:47on other planets this year. Wow.
- 39:50I mean, anyway, for what that's worth.
- 39:52I mean, I'm just, I'm not mentioning that anything in any
- 39:54sort of related way at all. I mean, I could be from
- 39:57somewhere else. My parents never really showed
- 39:59me, you know, any baby pictures. Just any Superman was pretty
- 40:04cool and he was from a different place.
- 40:06I think I'm going to just start walking slowly behind both of
- 40:09you. Just kind of like, like touching
- 40:11my elbows. Be like.
- 40:11I don't, I don't. It doesn't feel very good.
- 40:13Oh. Suddenly you can feel that.
- 40:16Like. Itchy and OK so where on campus
- 40:21grounds do you guys decide to go?
- 40:23What do you want to explore? Monty would head back to the
- 40:27cabin to finish her morning routine, pull her curlers out,
- 40:31put her day clothes on that are definitely not appropriate for a
- 40:35camp, and get ready to schmooze with the counselors, I think.
- 40:41Love it. OK.
- 40:42That's so on point for your character.
- 40:45Perfect. Do y'all stay together as a
- 40:47group? Do you want to join Monty back
- 40:49at the cabins? Freshen up a little bit and then
- 40:52sort of head around the grounds to see if you can spy on some
- 40:56counselors. Yeah, I think Batty is going to
- 41:00find some privacy and walk with them all the way up to the cabin
- 41:04and then find the tallest tree and I'm going to climb up to
- 41:06that tree and you're just going to hear immediately going into
- 41:13are you? Practicing.
- 41:13Yeah, buddy, why don't you roll for sing?
- 41:16Roll for sing. Yeah, and you've got.
- 41:17Oh, you don't have sing yet? Not yet.
- 41:19We'll. Do anything.
- 41:20We'll do anything, yeah. That's a one.
- 41:23You are struggling to climb up the tree.
- 41:25Well, you've made it up the tree roll again.
- 41:28OK, that's a 4, but I'm going to use two of my experience points
- 41:34to make it a six. They've got sing, yes?
- 41:42And that sing +22 Awesome. Amazing.
- 41:46I think after Monty I'm trying to decide what she's wearing.
- 41:51She's ditching the heels. They didn't quite work out last
- 41:54night with the dirt and everything.
- 41:56So now she's wearing her flats but they're like rhinestone
- 42:00glitzy ass black flats, a pencil skirt and.
- 42:06Brave. Pencil skirt and a boss.
- 42:09A blouse. A silk blouse.
- 42:12Yeah, wow. With like the ruffles?
- 42:13In the front that like ruffle all the way down she's.
- 42:17Trying to be confused for camp director or something.
- 42:20Incredible. Yeah, A.
- 42:21Clipboard or a little Finder around just hoping that you are
- 42:25elude the rules. My father is going to hear about
- 42:28everything that went down a second camp chance.
- 42:31The second camp chance. Did I stutter?
- 42:33Not even one bit. Why don't you roll Do anything?
- 42:36We'll see how well you can pass this sort of disguise off.
- 42:39Or like this outfit that's clearly more more mature and and
- 42:42less appropriate than it should be for camp.
- 42:45That's a 5, but I'm going to use an XP to make it a six.
- 42:48What? Skill would you like that to be?
- 42:51Yeah, my brain went first to imposter.
- 42:54I like imposter. Disguise.
- 42:56Yeah. I just realized I haven't really
- 42:58described what Goody's wearing. Yeah, me either.
- 43:01I I can see Joey. I.
- 43:02Can just run a Joey. OK, what do I look to you?
- 43:05You got a beat up leather jacket on, you got a band tee or a
- 43:08white tee that is way too stained and a little bit drip
- 43:11droopy in the neck. You got you got some sort of
- 43:13gold chain or silver chain around your neck and you got
- 43:15jeans on with steers with boots. OK.
- 43:17Well, you're, you're a little bit off because I took most of
- 43:19that off because it's a little bit warmer today and I'm wearing
- 43:22my wife pleaser. You've.
- 43:25Your wife pleaser. Yeah.
- 43:26Well, I mean, what else are you going to call it?
- 43:28No, I think that's an incredible thing to call it.
- 43:30Yeah, yeah. Is that what your mom called it?
- 43:34My mom says they remind her of my dad and she doesn't really
- 43:38call him anything other than a old man's T-shirt.
- 43:41She calls it, which doesn't really make sense because I say,
- 43:43ma, it's not a T-shirt. And she says, yeah, but it makes
- 43:45you look poor. I think I think anyone would
- 43:48want to blink you while you're wearing the wife pleaser.
- 43:51Thank you. Me, but any other woman.
- 43:54Oh, OK. And she's going to have great
- 43:55elbows. Yeah, OK.
- 43:57OK. Oh, Alicia.
- 43:59I think I'm in overalls. Oh yeah.
- 44:02Wow, I. Have curly like orangish hair
- 44:06and a lot of freckles and I think I also have like an
- 44:11awkwardly fitting too big turtleneck underneath the
- 44:15overalls. A turtleneck at camp.
- 44:17It's that's brave. It's been a struggle.
- 44:19I think you've been seeing goody sweat a lot.
- 44:20Oh man, it's also the only offer that.
- 44:24My God, goody I. Have some extra things that we
- 44:27can use later I. Just had to pack all my shoes.
- 44:32You don't even wear. At.
- 44:34The time Monty would like to gather her band of her band and
- 44:41and try to find the counselor cabin.
- 44:45Let's do it. So the three of you are going to
- 44:47sort of start sleuthing your way around around the grounds,
- 44:51keeping an eye out for the counselor cabin.
- 44:53Good news in that directory we mentioned earlier in the
- 44:56handbook, you know that Cabin C is where the counselors.
- 44:59Stay. OK, perfect.
- 45:01So I don't know what we're looking for, but we're just
- 45:04going to go see what we find. My mom says you look for bras or
- 45:09panties. She caught my dad cheating like
- 45:12I think 252627 times. That's besides the point.
- 45:17Either way, if we're looking for relationship stuff, we should
- 45:20look for undies. OK, we can definitely keep our
- 45:23eyes peeled for undies. I think also if we go into it
- 45:25with an open mind, we'll see what what is presented to us.
- 45:29OK, so maybe not undies. It could be undies, it could be
- 45:33something else. It was.
- 45:34Good idea, it was good idea. Tell you what he told me about
- 45:36it. The underwear.
- 45:38Yeah, he said, I know. You said you looked at me and he
- 45:40said I know that your mom cheats on your dad and that.
- 45:43OK, Yeah. It was my mother does not wear
- 45:45any underwear. OK, anyways, what were you
- 45:48saying Monty? So we're approaching the cabin.
- 45:50So I'm going to need, I need you to be like, I don't know, maybe.
- 45:53I, I, I can figure something out.
- 45:55I'm gonna I'm gonna try to go try a magic trick and I would
- 45:58like to if I she. Was like, should we distract
- 46:01them? And you're like, I'm gonna go
- 46:02talk to him. Well, I I explained a plan where
- 46:06I think I should practice. I'm gonna knock on the door and
- 46:08when I'll make it real dramatic, like I'll be turned away from
- 46:10and I'll foof my Cape and I'll disappear.
- 46:13Perfect. And then they'll go looking for
- 46:15you. Leave the cabin and Goody and I
- 46:17can sneak in and look for things.
- 46:19Exactly. OK, OK.
- 46:20And I can practice on the way. That's perfect.
- 46:22I'm going to climb the tree and watch.
- 46:24Goody just climbs the tree and he's going to watch you.
- 46:26That was part. Of the plan, but it.
- 46:28Wasn't, but I think maybe they're best up in the tree.
- 46:30OK, that's fair. OK, Goody has climbed a tree
- 46:33near Cabin C. It sounds like Joey is preparing
- 46:36to knock on the door with his Cape.
- 46:38Yes, and Monty is planning to swoop in and sleuth after the
- 46:42counselors leave the cabin looking for the Ding Dong
- 46:45ditcher. Yes, solid plan, Goody Yes.
- 46:51You wanna roll? Do anything to see how you get
- 46:53up this tree. Yeah, I'd love to be in.
- 46:55We can do the climb, but I'd also love to just like a
- 46:57lookout, like not necessarily surveillance, but strictly like
- 47:00alarm system. Love it.
- 47:01Yeah. I can get up to A5, can't get to
- 47:05A6. Make sure you give yourself one
- 47:06XP. Nice, I try to climb the tree
- 47:09and I realize that I need to take my shoes off and do it much
- 47:13faster. Use those really grippy toes.
- 47:15Let's see it so you have running without shoes.
- 47:17Too without shoes, yes. So this is going to be a check
- 47:20of A7. Nice.
- 47:25There's A5 and A6. Amazing.
- 47:27Are you going to use an XP to turn that into two sixes so that
- 47:30you could develop a new skill? I absolutely am.
- 47:33Good ear is going to get good ear.
- 47:34OK, sweet. So it has to be related to
- 47:36running without shoes because you're leveling up your running
- 47:39without shoes skill. So if you can somehow make that
- 47:41more specific or more related to trees or your toe grip strength
- 47:45or anything like that, that's what we'll use.
- 47:47OK, yeah, I think I have the exponential toe grip power of
- 47:52being able to basically Sprint up the first half half of the
- 47:54tree before I like bear hug it and then I scoot up.
- 47:58Oh. My God.
- 47:59OK, you've got toe grip 3 is. That what it's called now.
- 48:04Well, I mean you can call it whatever you want.
- 48:05I will probably refer to it as toe grip.
- 48:07Do you change the running without shoes You'll.
- 48:10Keep running without shoes too and you've gained one skill
- 48:14better. You've improved upon that skill
- 48:16to gain another skill. So you'll never delete a skill,
- 48:19you'll add a new one that's more specific based on the 1 you use.
- 48:23And that is +2. Three toe grip 3.
- 48:26Thank you for walking me back. Yeah.
- 48:28Wild. How exciting.
- 48:30So booties up the tree. Yeah, like a mountain goat up
- 48:33there, man. I mean, honestly, I didn't know
- 48:34that I could do that. I just I've never really tried
- 48:36to run up a tree that was that was easier than I thought it.
- 48:39Would me neither believe it or not, but.
- 48:41I'm still gonna sing for the talent show, but that was kind
- 48:43of cool. We.
- 48:43Definitely have a backup, that's for sure.
- 48:45OK. Well, you guys are good enough
- 48:47of things when bombs I can make are ones that I have to throw
- 48:50out the window or give to somebody else, so.
- 48:53Joey, I believe in you. You know what, sometimes I just
- 48:57want to disappear, but this time I'm going to do it for good.
- 49:00Or Juniper Rose. Sorry, who's that?
- 49:03It's me That's that's the that's the flower that you.
- 49:06Oh my. Juliet Rose.
- 49:07Juliet. Yes, I'm so sorry.
- 49:10Junipers are very very gorgeous though.
- 49:13OK, well, you're a Juniper Rose. Yeah, I.
- 49:18I can be whatever I want. That's just made-up, right?
- 49:21I don't know if I've ever heard of a Juniper Rose.
- 49:23Yeah, you can do. Anything you put your mind to?
- 49:27I'm gonna go, I'm gonna disappear.
- 49:28I'm gonna disappear and I'm gonna, I'm, I'm gonna go knock
- 49:30on the door so, so heroically. And I've fashioned my leather
- 49:35jacket, the scraps of it left by like attaching the sleeves and
- 49:40to the bottom of the jacket so as to lengthen it a little bit
- 49:43so it's like A1 sided Cape as I back up, turn my back to the
- 49:47door and prepare to flare it and I think disappear hopefully.
- 49:52I love it, let's see how it goes.
- 49:54This sounds like street magic to me, so I'm going to have you
- 49:57roll St. Magic 2 and we'll see how you
- 49:59do. The check is also going to be a
- 50:01seven. I assume by disappear you sort
- 50:03of mean. Turn and run really quickly.
- 50:06Yeah, I am a magic I. Don't know how St. magic works.
- 50:08Can. I pour it on the cabin breaks
- 50:10and we went through the porch. Can I?
- 50:12Help on a branch with toe grip and hang from the branch and use
- 50:16my toes to grip his shoulder sleeves and.
- 50:19Lift. Him.
- 50:21Hell yeah, you can. You sure can.
- 50:22As I, as I imagine this moment of panic as I'm hearing the door
- 50:27and like there's a voice on the other side as someone's just
- 50:30taking too long to open the door or whatever.
- 50:32I don't know what actually happens, but I've knocked and
- 50:34I'm like sweating because I'm like, yeah, that that.
- 50:38I mean, you said the power would just would just kick in and they
- 50:40did. And now I'm not disappearing.
- 50:42I'm not, I'm not. And then I just feel my goody.
- 50:45Needs help and I run to the branch.
- 50:47Amazing. You'll get plus one from Goody.
- 50:49Amazing looking up to see goody. I'm just like, it really is
- 50:52magic. That's just a couple of twos,
- 50:59plus one is A5. You needed A7.
- 51:03That's rough. That is rough.
- 51:05I don't disappear. You don't disappear and a
- 51:08counselor comes to the door and answers.
- 51:11Where in my attempts to get out of there do they spot me?
- 51:14Do I get up or can I can goody just not pull me up?
- 51:17I imagine the door is opening before you've been pulled off
- 51:21the ground. Okay, goody, we got this.
- 51:23We got this is I'm just like kind of struggling.
- 51:25I'm going to my tip toes. We're like, that's amazing
- 51:28toaster. And then I and then I see the
- 51:30counselor looking at me and I say, hey ladies.
- 51:32This is a counselor you haven't met yet if there's a young
- 51:35woman. I say, excuse me, miss, we're
- 51:37practicing for the talent show. You're spoilers.
- 51:39Could would you mind going around the corner if you're
- 51:41going to leave? You.
- 51:42Knocked. No, I'm practicing for my magic
- 51:47show. Yes, it involved knocking, but I
- 51:48didn't have anything else knocked on.
- 51:50You're going to have to practice your talent somewhere else.
- 51:53So OK, here's the thing. St.
- 51:54Magic is done on the street. I can't really decide where it
- 51:57happens. Is there something specific I
- 51:59can help you with while you're trying to practice?
- 52:01Well, my assistant is otherwise preoccupied right now, and I
- 52:04would actually really, really love the use of an assistant.
- 52:07I actually have AI have a contraption.
- 52:09Don't freak out. But if you go inside of it, I'm
- 52:11going to put swords into it. If I don't get you, then I I'm
- 52:14magic. Are you hanging from my toes
- 52:17right now? Soy side to side.
- 52:21I'll give you a. Little bit of a sway.
- 52:23That's pretty fucking weird, as is your your confidence that you
- 52:27have this box ready. Although maybe you know you're
- 52:29bluffing. For sure bluffing.
- 52:31She says. How long is this gonna take?
- 52:33OK, well we just got to go back to the cabin, my cabin and I'll,
- 52:37I'll get the the supplies out of my cabin.
- 52:39I'll set it up really quick and then I just need you to be my
- 52:42assistant for about 5 minutes. She agrees.
- 52:45She nods. She looks up at the toes on your
- 52:48shoulders and she says what's going on here?
- 52:50Yeah, Goody, would you mind putting me down?
- 52:52I drop him. You do need help, don't you?
- 52:57She agrees to come with you to try and help you practice for
- 52:59the talent show. I mean, look at that.
- 53:01I mean, this crazy kid is doing insane acrobatics and he's gonna
- 53:04sink. Why should.
- 53:05Sorry, that's a spoiler. You're gonna the talent show is
- 53:07gonna be wild, lady. You're gonna love it.
- 53:09Thank you for coming along. I could really use the help.
- 53:11I've run like it looks like you've talking to yourself so
- 53:13I'm like hiding behind the tree. Like is it working?
- 53:15Do they like your elbows? Wait, me.
- 53:18My elbows? Yeah, always, because.
- 53:23There it is. There it is.
- 53:25I look at Goodie with like shock in my eyes as they widen as like
- 53:28my elbow bumps hers and I'm just like, fully not knowing how sex
- 53:33works. Good.
- 53:36I'm not married. We're not married.
- 53:38I hope you don't think she thinks that right.
- 53:41I mean, I think you're in trouble.
- 53:42I think you need to get married soon, otherwise you're gonna be
- 53:44real trouble with your mom. I think she can definitely hear
- 53:46you. She's becoming less confident
- 53:48about joining you to I'm sorry. To help.
- 53:52Goodie, I don't have time to think about this right now.
- 53:55I have magic to learn and I take my counselor away and I and I
- 53:59lead the counselor away. Amazing.
- 54:00She steps off with you and then we will return to see what
- 54:03Monty's up to. Yeah, I think Monty wants to
- 54:05slip inside the door. Like just walk up and walk into
- 54:09the cabin hoping that no one's in there.
- 54:11You enter the cabin and they're sort of like a vestibule do hear
- 54:15more people talking in the cabin so they can't see you but you're
- 54:17able to overhear them. And you're actually hearing 2
- 54:20counselors talk to each other. One of them says, I think the
- 54:24Lantern path is all set for tonight.
- 54:26It's getting harder and harder to tell every year.
- 54:29They're way more unpredictable than they used to be.
- 54:32And the other counselor responds and says at this point it's more
- 54:36about motivating these losers to shape up.
- 54:38Who cares if the lanterns even work anymore?
- 54:41At least they'll be scared straight, right?
- 54:43These people have no idea how to host a proper party.
- 54:47Can she roll for surveillance to see if she can tell who the
- 54:50counselors are? Sure.
- 54:52Yeah. You have surveillance 3.
- 54:53This check is going to be a 10. I think baddie is just leaning
- 54:59over like looking through the door for the big guys.
- 55:02I rolled A-14. Well done you.
- 55:04Recognize one of the voices as Lottie, She's having some
- 55:07recharge time in her cabin. And the other voice you maybe
- 55:12recognize from intake day, maybe you saw him around.
- 55:15It's the groundskeeper. His name is Judd.
- 55:17So Judd, the groundskeeper, the grounds crew, the gentleman is
- 55:21the one who said that the Lantern path is all set for
- 55:24tonight, but that it's getting harder and harder to tell every
- 55:26year because the lanterns have been more unpredictable than
- 55:29they used to be. OK.
- 55:32Some high level Intel. Oh my gosh, great role.
- 55:37Hey, Patrice, it's Monty. Duh.
- 55:39Stole the counselor's phone to send you a quick voice memo.
- 55:41I'm hearing whispers at camp about this new thing, and I
- 55:44think we should get in on the ground floor.
- 55:46I need you to Google something for me because of course, this
- 55:48dump of a campground is stuck in 3G.
- 55:50OK, shit. I hear them coming.
- 55:51I have to be quick. It's called dice eyes.com.
- 55:54It sounds like there's even an exclusive membership.
- 55:56And you know how I feel about exclusivity.
- 55:58We're talking bonus episodes, talkbacks, and you know, I love
- 56:01the tea. My social senses are telling me
- 56:03that this is going to be viral soon.
- 56:04Daddy is definitely going to want to invest in this again.
- 56:07It's DICESIZE. d.com. OK, They're back.
- 56:10XOXO. Mr. Pancakes.
- 56:11Bye. Monty, Monty, did you see
- 56:14anything goody? OK.
- 56:17She just steps back outside the cabin and starts walking back
- 56:19towards their cabin. Wait, wait, wait for me.
- 56:23I'm just not following social cues.
- 56:25So I just see you walk past me and I'm like, oh, we're leaving,
- 56:26OK. But wait.
- 56:29So goody apparently. These.
- 56:32Lantern. Yeah, the good ones.
- 56:35Apparently they're unpredictable, like if they're
- 56:38gonna work or not. Can you believe that they're
- 56:40putting on this whole talent show and they're giving us a
- 56:43reward of walking down the stupid Lantern path and it might
- 56:45not even be lit? You mean like how magic doesn't
- 56:48work sometimes? Or is it?
- 56:49Exactly. But what makes them
- 56:51unpredictable? Right.
- 56:53I mean, did you hear anything else?
- 56:55Well, just something about how the point is just to scare us
- 56:58straight and that it doesn't matter if they work or not.
- 57:00Which I think is ridiculous, because either way, if you're
- 57:02hosting a party, everything needs to go right.
- 57:05I mean, lanterns are beautiful, why would they be scary?
- 57:07That is a really good point that I hadn't thought of before.
- 57:10Why are the lanterns going to be scary?
- 57:13Why is it a prize if it's scary? I think we need to check this
- 57:16path out. I know they said we can't, but
- 57:19what are they going to do? Stop us.
- 57:20Should we go get Joey? Yeah, Yeah.
- 57:23That was yeah. He might be just to save the
- 57:25counselor at this point. It comes.
- 57:27The Sword Lady watch. Out.
- 57:30Watch out upon seeing that you have no sword boxes.
- 57:35Excuse me? I told her that along the way
- 57:37and I said I'm practicing because it's it's gonna be
- 57:39delivered later today. Ordered it.
- 57:41Sheep. Ordered it, ordered it, but for
- 57:45now. I.
- 57:46She's not waiting around. I said at the do what good news
- 57:49though. I stab into it and I'm just
- 57:51like, oh God, I thought that you're gone and I see her
- 57:55walking away in the distance. Okay, okay, you.
- 57:57Lost her. Sorry lady.
- 58:01I'm Joey. Sorry, I gotta put these canoes
- 58:04back. You guys might have to meet up.
- 58:06Did you guys get married? Well, so The thing is.
- 58:08Monty Joe is in trouble. He knocked elbows with the
- 58:11counselor. My mom said no blinking before I
- 58:13was married and I think that's the start of blinking.
- 58:16You blink elbows, you blink. You blink not, you blink knees
- 58:20and you boink noses and and yeah, but.
- 58:22I mean, you have to, you have to boink a little bit of elbows
- 58:26before you get married just to know that the elbows fit right.
- 58:30OK, well, I mean so. I don't think it's a bad thing.
- 58:32I think it's really casual and you don't have to worry about it
- 58:35or get married or anything to rectify it.
- 58:37Well it it hurt pretty bad and my my arm went numb so.
- 58:40Yeah, she's not a good fit. I don't think you need to marry
- 58:42her. I think we can just remove on
- 58:44from this. You don't have to worry about
- 58:46it. You don't need to get checked or
- 58:47anything. You'll be fine anyways.
- 58:49How'd you how'd the reconnaissance go?
- 58:52Oh, my God. So good.
- 58:53So Lottie was there. And Judd that like, weird.
- 58:56Like, you know, he like, fixes things around.
- 58:58I don't know. We met him on intake day.
- 59:00Jug Judd with AD. Yeah, that's what I said.
- 59:05They were talking about how the lanterns are unpredictable and
- 59:09that they might not work, which I think, again, I was telling
- 59:11Goody is ridiculous. Like, why even offer it as a
- 59:13prize if it's not going to be a real thing?
- 59:15And. They said it was going to be
- 59:16scary. Well, they said the point is to
- 59:18just scare us straight, so. Lantern not scary.
- 59:22Lantern be scary, beautiful, beautiful.
- 59:25So I think we should go investigate.
- 59:27I love the soft flickering light on the Lantern in the middle of
- 59:30the night, I mean. It's supposed to be a prize, but
- 59:32they said it was bad. Now that you guys have migrated
- 59:35over towards the water sports area, you're around a new group
- 59:38of campers and you're actually going to overhear another
- 59:41conversation happening. So you're you, you're sort of
- 59:45bickering is interrupted by two campers getting heated.
- 59:48As one says to the other, my sister was a camper here five
- 59:51years ago and she said her walk down the Lantern path was
- 59:53literally life changing and so peaceful.
- 59:57Honestly, she came back acting like a totally different person.
- 1:00:00She was actually nice to me for like an entire week.
- 1:00:04And the other camper says, really?
- 1:00:07My brother was here just last year and said it was horrifying.
- 1:00:11He felt tricked, like it was fun for a few minutes and then got
- 1:00:14so scary that he couldn't even talk about it when he got home.
- 1:00:18Do you guys hear that? Monta, I think I'm hearing with
- 1:00:20your ears right now. I don't normally care about
- 1:00:22other people's conversations, but.
- 1:00:24Something is up with these lanterns, and I think we could
- 1:00:27either investigate or keep practicing our talents to make
- 1:00:30sure that we win to find out, but either way, there's
- 1:00:34something fishy going on here. I, I think it's like, I don't
- 1:00:37know, maybe if you're good you see good and if you're bad, you
- 1:00:41see bad. I got to keep my shoes on.
- 1:00:44Am I on the good list or the bad list?
- 1:00:46Am I good person? I mean, you have your shoes on,
- 1:00:50you're fine. I'm the one who takes their
- 1:00:52shoes off all the time and breaks.
- 1:00:53Bad. I got steel toe boots on.
- 1:00:54You're right, I don't. Normally I don't.
- 1:00:56Sometimes I don't even remember to take them off before bed.
- 1:00:58Can't break bad nose. I mean, Joey, will you, will you
- 1:01:01make sure that if I go bad during the lanterns, will you,
- 1:01:06will you make sure I don't run anywhere like really far?
- 1:01:12Here's the thing, this is what my dad would used to say when
- 1:01:15whenever I I had to stay at his place.
- 1:01:17He also loved lanterns. He was a Lantern aficionado.
- 1:01:19I could say, because every time we go over there, there was one
- 1:01:22in the middle of the, the living room and he'd say it's a
- 1:01:25fireplace, it's a campfire, campfire.
- 1:01:27We're camping tonight. We're not going to the bell.
- 1:01:29We're not going to the ball game.
- 1:01:30We're camping tonight. Why would we leave?
- 1:01:32Landon's was just very exciting for us because we gathered
- 1:01:34around the Lantern for the night and then we wouldn't go do the
- 1:01:37thing that he said that he we were going to go do that night.
- 1:01:39Like, you know, I, one time I went, I gathered around Orlando
- 1:01:42when I was supposed to go to NASA because I really liked
- 1:01:44rockets. But no, the, the Lantern was
- 1:01:46really nice though. That night.
- 1:01:47He had some some little construction paper.
- 1:01:51We roll to. Anything one we're going to see
- 1:01:52if you can roll for storytelling.
- 1:01:55I mean, yeah. I mean, we, when we had lanterns
- 1:01:58on it, it just meant that we didn't pay the power bill.
- 1:02:01I mean, my, my dad said that it was to immerse our imaginations,
- 1:02:05which I really appreciate because I we, we tell stories
- 1:02:08all night and it actually gets really sweet at this point into
- 1:02:11turning from a sad story to like the a dad who like spent, he
- 1:02:14didn't have money. He would just make big, grand,
- 1:02:16like promises. And you can tell from that story
- 1:02:19that it was a dad with good intentions.
- 1:02:21But obviously on the surface, it's like this kid got conned.
- 1:02:26Record player with trombone music.
- 1:02:28I want one. Just kidding, that's a 5 plus an
- 1:02:31XP. I'll bump that to 6.
- 1:02:34All righty, what would you like this skill to be?
- 1:02:36Ollie will either go for storytelling or, I mean, this
- 1:02:39feels like a con. I feel like I'm conning this.
- 1:02:41Starting to con. I yeah, otherwise this.
- 1:02:44Isn't a true story. This is like.
- 1:02:46Well, no, it is a true story, but I think.
- 1:02:49You're emotionally manipulating a little bit.
- 1:02:51Yeah, I'm realizing that I I also have questions about the
- 1:02:54lanterns. I don't know whether they're
- 1:02:55good or bad. I just look towards goody and
- 1:02:56I'm like, am IA good person or a bad person?
- 1:02:58Am I gonna have a nice time on the Lantern path or a terrible
- 1:03:01time? I'll let you call this.
- 1:03:02Con. Let's fully redirect and
- 1:03:05emotionally manipulate my friends so I don't have to
- 1:03:07answer those questions. Sure.
- 1:03:08OK cool. Yeah, I think I that's a con 2
- 1:03:12for me. That con 2 finally, I think you
- 1:03:14first rolled for that in session 0, so this is cool gratifying.
- 1:03:17I'm sure as you guys are chatting, you're realizing that
- 1:03:20the the daytime, this free time chunk is starting to pass you
- 1:03:23by. So I would say that you each
- 1:03:25have some time to level up some talents as you mentioned.
- 1:03:29I would allow you each to choose like an action or RP your way
- 1:03:33through like something you could do to practice a talent and have
- 1:03:373 roles to try and level something up.
- 1:03:39Whoa. Huge.
- 1:03:41Huge. Goody is going to really be
- 1:03:45struggling with singing and walking around and pacing and
- 1:03:49like, I can't get the right I'm sure and I just, I have to do
- 1:03:54it. I'm going to take my shoes off
- 1:03:56and I'm going to run and sing at the same time.
- 1:03:59Aw, that's. Sweet, the Sound of Music
- 1:04:01leaping through joyously. OK, here's what I'm going to
- 1:04:04allow you to do. You have toe grip 3, but sing 2.
- 1:04:07I'm going to allow you to roll 3 dice and if two of them are
- 1:04:12sixes, you can level up your sing skill.
- 1:04:15Oh cool, that's A1A2 and A4. Bummer.
- 1:04:20So I did say you could each have 3 attempts, so I will let you
- 1:04:23roll 2 dice two more times. It's.
- 1:04:29A4 and A2. Give it another go.
- 1:04:34It's A2 and A2. Damn, I mean a lot of XP though,
- 1:04:38that's cool. Yeah, I think I'm.
- 1:04:39I'm like kind of embarrassing myself in front of the other
- 1:04:41campers if. You never try.
- 1:04:43You'll never know. Hey.
- 1:04:44Good, good. I've never heard that one.
- 1:04:45What is that 10 the? The song I'm practicing, yeah.
- 1:04:48Is that great? Is that the Gregory chant?
- 1:04:51How did you know? I got it right.
- 1:04:54How did? How did you know?
- 1:04:55The throat singing that the the the the Gregory's do.
- 1:04:58I mean I was trying. It's amazing.
- 1:04:59I, I can't, I, I know that you, it's, it's not quite there yet,
- 1:05:02but I think you were singing with two voices for a moment.
- 1:05:04It was really disturbing. Make sure you mark down three XP
- 1:05:08for three. It's sad to call them failed
- 1:05:10roles, but not quite successful. Roles.
- 1:05:13I have 7 XPI got to use them. Oh, that's great.
- 1:05:16Does anyone else want to practice a talent OR skill?
- 1:05:19Can I try to? Level up surveillance.
- 1:05:21Absolutely. What are you going to do to do
- 1:05:22that? I'm trying to.
- 1:05:25I had the skill appraisal because I want Monty's talent to
- 1:05:29be her letting you know how much she thinks you paid for your
- 1:05:34outfit or something that you own.
- 1:05:36Awesome. Love it like.
- 1:05:38Inverse price is right game show hosting.
- 1:05:41Fuck yeah. OK.
- 1:05:42So is such like a fucked up like skill like?
- 1:05:44That's so cunty, Maya. It's such a great like response
- 1:05:47to like, you know, imagining a comedian and hecklers and stuff.
- 1:05:50Just calling out people's dollar amount.
- 1:05:52Yeah, well you paid $7.00 for those shoes, so.
- 1:05:55And by the Pilling on the leggings, I can tell you got
- 1:05:57them secondhand. Yeah.
- 1:05:59I'm thinking about like the extension of this, which is like
- 1:06:01the people that decide how much lives are worth like after
- 1:06:04catastrophes and like. Ensures that like.
- 1:06:06Monty is the type that could be like, I mean, she was wearing
- 1:06:09Prada. That's like an extra grand on
- 1:06:11that families, you know? Because they invested that
- 1:06:16they're gonna take really good care of their stuff.
- 1:06:18Yeah, it's gonna come back into the community within 10 to 25.
- 1:06:21OK, hopefully not in a goodwill. OK, Monty has Surveillance 3, so
- 1:06:26you'll have three chances to roll these dice and see if you
- 1:06:29can level this up. Roll all three.
- 1:06:32You'll roll all three three times.
- 1:06:34The goal would be boom, first time you level it up to 4.
- 1:06:37Then you could roll two more times to continue trying to
- 1:06:39level up. OK.
- 1:06:42OK so my first roll I got 1-6 but I need 2 sixes in one roll.
- 1:06:47You would need 3 sixes. I gave Goody an exception
- 1:06:50because they were using their toe grip skill to sort of
- 1:06:54enhance their singing. So instead of rolling to die, I
- 1:06:58allowed them to roll 3 for the first roll.
- 1:07:01Since you're not using another skill to work on your
- 1:07:03surveillance and surveillance is your highest roll, I was just
- 1:07:06letting you roll all three. I do have enough XP to make it
- 1:07:09all three sixes, or I do have two more rolls.
- 1:07:11You do. It's a gamble.
- 1:07:13That is a really great gamble. Can you farm like farm like
- 1:07:16refarm certain dice? Like did you roll A5 or anything
- 1:07:19that you might keep because it's high?
- 1:07:21I rolled A6 and A5 and A3. I would let you farm these dice
- 1:07:24so if you want to keep the six, you could roll the other two.
- 1:07:26That's going to count as your second roll, OK.
- 1:07:30Two fours, though I could still level up if I wanted to.
- 1:07:35I'm going for it y'all. A5 and A6 so I only have to use
- 1:07:42one XP. Wow 2.
- 1:07:44Incredible level up Surveillance 2.
- 1:07:46Appraisal 4. Yes.
- 1:07:48Oh my God, Appraisal 4. That's badass.
- 1:07:52I really feel like Monty can just like, look right through
- 1:07:54me. Wow.
- 1:07:55The thing is, yes, she looks at me and I feel things I've never
- 1:07:59felt before, but the the other thing is that I feel like I'm
- 1:08:03dying when. She looks at you.
- 1:08:05Yeah, I mean. The devil does wear Prada.
- 1:08:11And the eye, the eye contact is just so intense.
- 1:08:13I feel like she's drilling eyes drew me to the point where I see
- 1:08:17my own soul and that that's just not always so pretty.
- 1:08:21Wow. That's that is.
- 1:08:23Deep that's a lot, lot deeper than I expected they.
- 1:08:26Say the eyes are the windows of the sole and I don't know about
- 1:08:28that, but there there's definitely a basement somewhere
- 1:08:30in here and I'm I'm stuck in it. I was just thinking that she was
- 1:08:33like guessing where my clothes came from, but that sounds you
- 1:08:37want to talk about this like around the campfire or?
- 1:08:41Yeah, yeah, I think Monty like knows more about my MA issues
- 1:08:44than I. I have ma.
- 1:08:46Issues. I've.
- 1:08:47Never thought. 17 year old boy. I'm 19.
- 1:08:50Excuse me, I mean. Typical super senior Super
- 1:08:56senior behavior. What's the opposite of
- 1:08:58emancipated? Mama's boy.
- 1:09:00OK, yeah, that's what I am. Hitting on the counselors,
- 1:09:03touching their elbows. All right, Joey, is there
- 1:09:06anything you would like to roll for to try and level up some
- 1:09:09skills or a skill for the talent show?
- 1:09:11The the The thing is, I I think I would like to to roll for
- 1:09:17either Razzle Dazzle or Grand Finale.
- 1:09:20You're trying to level up your magic skill.
- 1:09:22I'm trying to level up. Not only that, I'm trying to
- 1:09:23level up demolitions and my magic skill.
- 1:09:26That's a tall order. Well, rather rather OK here
- 1:09:30we're. Trying to combine them.
- 1:09:32Yes, it's similar to how toll grip and singing apparently are
- 1:09:37really really good at enhancing one another.
- 1:09:39I thought I St. Magic and Demolitions could also
- 1:09:41do that. Well, so here's The thing is St.
- 1:09:45Magic you have two, and Demolitions you have two.
- 1:09:47Yeah. So the reason I allowed Goody to
- 1:09:49roll three die? That's.
- 1:09:52Fair is because Goody has. +3 to.
- 1:09:55Toe grip 3. That's and was relying on the
- 1:09:58joy and whimsy of skipping through the fields barefoot to
- 1:10:01sing. I'm joy and I'm whimsy.
- 1:10:04You can roll. You can.
- 1:10:05Roll. You can roll Demolition.
- 1:10:08You can roll Demolition 2 or Magic.
- 1:10:11Two, I'm a nightmare player. Try try to level up your magic
- 1:10:15or demolition skill. You can roll 3 times.
- 1:10:18I'd like to try to level up my. Just roll your dice, Joey.
- 1:10:22OK. It's too die either way my love.
- 1:10:27Hey, that's a six and a one, so I'm not gonna be able to do
- 1:10:31that. You get to roll them three
- 1:10:33times. Oh, that's all right.
- 1:10:34That's all right. Let me.
- 1:10:35Confirm your 6. That's a two that time.
- 1:10:37That's not good. That's a 5 and I'll use one of
- 1:10:40my XB points to bump that up to a six.
- 1:10:42So that's a 2 sixes for ya. Incredible.
- 1:10:46So what would you like to name this new skill?
- 1:10:48I'd like it to be up to up to your.
- 1:10:50I'll give you multiple choice. Would you like it to be a razzle
- 1:10:54dazzle? Yes.
- 1:10:55B Pyrotechnics. Yes.
- 1:10:58C Grand Finale. Definitely yes.
- 1:11:02Which of which of the? 3 Razzle dazzle pyrotechnics
- 1:11:05grand finale. OK, that's what it is.
- 1:11:06Razzle dazzle. Pyrotechnic grand finale.
- 1:11:08RDPG F3 Razzle Dazzle, Pyrotechnics Grand finale 3
- 1:11:17Goody I didn't institute the farming rule when you were
- 1:11:21rolling your dice. Would you like to try one or two
- 1:11:24more times to level something up?
- 1:11:26Sure, I'm going to feel this other spot in my my voice and
- 1:11:29I'm going to harmonize myself accidentally.
- 1:11:32Amazing. OK, so you're rolling for Sting.
- 1:11:34OK, so you're 2 die, two die. That's a six and a three, and
- 1:11:39I'll roll one more time. Or do it you can farm, yeah.
- 1:11:44Shouldn't done that. Uno mas shouldn't.
- 1:11:49It literally didn't roll. I threw this out of my hand and
- 1:11:52it landed like that in a little No, no, I'm gonna I'm gonna use
- 1:11:55a bunch of XP OK, and I'm gonna use 5 XP points to Mongolian
- 1:11:59throat sing Hell yeah we're. Gonna win this damn thing.
- 1:12:05That's what he sounds like. See.
- 1:12:06See, I told you before it was disturbing.
- 1:12:08Right now, almost in a pleasant way.
- 1:12:10I feel as if my bowels are responding to what you're
- 1:12:14saying. Your bowels?
- 1:12:17Yeah. Normally I drink a cup of
- 1:12:18coffee, but they don't have any coffee in the in the in the
- 1:12:20lunch room this morning. Joey, what did you drink?
- 1:12:23I didn't drink anything. That's the point.
- 1:12:24I've been constipated. But right now I'm feeling like I
- 1:12:26could go. I could go take a take a couple
- 1:12:28pounds off, you know what I mean?
- 1:12:29Speaking of a potty break, you guys are realizing that the
- 1:12:34talent show is quickly approaching and today lunch and
- 1:12:37the talent show are going to be a combined affair.
- 1:12:40So you're going to choose your bagged lunch and take your seats
- 1:12:43in the Amphitheatre. Here are your options.
- 1:12:47A Turkey sub with apple slices, APB and J with baby care, or a
- 1:12:51Caesar salad wrap with grapes. Which would you like?
- 1:12:57I think Goody is going to try to grab more than one bag.
- 1:13:02You have to sort of like speak your option to the.
- 1:13:06To the cafeteria. Ladies, and they'll hand you
- 1:13:08with what you ask. OK, I'll take the Caesar wrap
- 1:13:11with grapes. OK.
- 1:13:12Goody, don't you worry about it. Can I roll?
- 1:13:16Can I roll? Razzle dazzle pryotech.
- 1:13:17Just grand finale to or perhaps St.
- 1:13:20Magic I guess, if I if I must. To do what?
- 1:13:24To get goody 2 bags. You're just going to give them
- 1:13:27yours? That's the magic trick.
- 1:13:29Well, maybe if I fail that will be the magic trick.
- 1:13:32Yeah, you can roll Razzle Dazzle Pyrotechnic Grand Finale 3I.
- 1:13:36Think I might just call it razzle dazzle.
- 1:13:38Your check is going to be 12. OK, Dang, that's a snake.
- 1:13:46Dang. What do you?
- 1:13:47Choose. I Well, my mom says that
- 1:13:50protein's important, but I. They've all got protein.
- 1:13:54Yeah, I'm I'm allergic to nuts, but I love peanut butter.
- 1:13:57Well. That would be a less advisable
- 1:14:00choice. Well, it's the only one that's
- 1:14:01uncrustable. My my mom knows I hate crust and
- 1:14:04the Turkey sandwich I crust on so and the the.
- 1:14:06The Caesar salad is a wrap. Mom would be proud if I had the
- 1:14:09Caesar wrap. I should try the Caesar wrap.
- 1:14:11The Caesar wrap. Perfect.
- 1:14:14I'll have the Caesar wrap please.
- 1:14:17Three Caesar wraps. The closest thing I'm going to
- 1:14:19get to a signature salad here, I guess.
- 1:14:21Yeah, anyway, which one are carrots?
- 1:14:23PB and J with. Baby, that one because I love
- 1:14:25carrots. You're.
- 1:14:26Allergic to pea? That'll be fine.
- 1:14:27That'll be fine. Not.
- 1:14:28That bad? So sorry, your file here says
- 1:14:30you're allergic. To no I'm not that, I just don't
- 1:14:32like them so I tell people I'm allergic.
- 1:14:35All right, do you want a PB and J?
- 1:14:37With baby carrots. Yes, please.
- 1:14:38OK. Thank you.
- 1:14:40So severely allergic, guys, you're gonna have to stab me
- 1:14:42with this EpiPen in a moment. But Oh my fucking dog, don't.
- 1:14:45Get a chance very often from home.
- 1:14:46I'm away from home. Can you do like the EpiPen
- 1:14:48before you eat I? Don't think so that would be
- 1:14:51that would be a wild rush, but I don't think so.
- 1:14:54It would be such a wild rush. Like you like you.
- 1:14:59Should EpiPen like maybe you? Should totally get a skill for
- 1:15:02your EpiPen. Oh, OK.
- 1:15:04Let me tell you what each of you gets with your lunch first.
- 1:15:06So if you chose the Caesar wrap with grapes, you get one
- 1:15:10instance where you can roll with advantage.
- 1:15:14You don't get that one No Joey, because you chose the PB and J
- 1:15:17with baby carrots, which will allow you to in one instance
- 1:15:21reroll one of your dice. Whoa.
- 1:15:23Okay, farming dice is just as nice.
- 1:15:26Yeah, single farming. Yeah, single use.
- 1:15:28And when we were farming just moments ago, that was for your
- 1:15:32leveling up your your talents for the talent show.
- 1:15:35We were doing some rapid fire skills trials.
- 1:15:38So farming won't be permitted moving forward.
- 1:15:42Fine. Sorry, OK.
- 1:15:44You sit down in the amphitheater with your lunch, and the first
- 1:15:49few students and fellow campers start to take the stage.
- 1:15:53You look on in horror as your fellow campers phone in talents
- 1:16:00like juggling, stand up comedy, interpretive dance, graffiti,
- 1:16:06animal impressions you. Name it maybe?
- 1:16:10These kids are talentless, or maybe they're just unmotivated.
- 1:16:12But after a few loud boos and several sandwich scraps thrown
- 1:16:16at the stage, it is finally your turn.
- 1:16:20Which of you is going first? I can't tell if I'm nervous or
- 1:16:23if my throat's closing up. Can you tell me?
- 1:16:25Just stab me with every pet I'm. Definitely nervous.
- 1:16:28Oh, did you need this? I can't.
- 1:16:31Can you understand him? I I think you should stab him
- 1:16:33with it. Stab him with what?
- 1:16:35The the EpiPen, the. EpiPen.
- 1:16:36Yeah, he needs it right now, Yeah.
- 1:16:39Joy like like now, could. He stab him in the leg, I stab
- 1:16:44him. Whoa.
- 1:16:46Wow. Are you ready to do magic?
- 1:16:48I I I I I am magic. I actually I I just realized I
- 1:16:52did you. Just came back from the dead
- 1:16:53basically. Why do you roll for that?
- 1:16:55Coming back from the dead. No, they get.
- 1:16:59Slipperies. Made roll for Happy bang with
- 1:17:05the help action. Off of do off of do anything one
- 1:17:08or is that that felt like a little bit of razzle dazzle.
- 1:17:11That is, do anything. I love that Rob as as aimed for
- 1:17:16role for magic and role for reincarnation.
- 1:17:20You're going. To win this goddamn talent show
- 1:17:22you. Got a flexible system?
- 1:17:25You got to swing for the fences? That's a one baby only.
- 1:17:31You could roll with advantage. Sorry, you can't.
- 1:17:34What can you do? Though I can re roll one die,
- 1:17:39I'll save that for now. OK, your EpiPen is successful.
- 1:17:43My EpiPen is successful with a well I.
- 1:17:45Mean you don't die. Your EpiPen was successful in
- 1:17:48reviving you, but you like didn't have the wherewithal to
- 1:17:50observe goody as they used it on your leg or wherever you ended
- 1:17:55up getting shot and that was your last EpiPen.
- 1:17:58I so I unfortunately could not memorize the chemical formula as
- 1:18:02it was injected within me and I would assume remake it from bees
- 1:18:07because I would imagine that every pens for some reason
- 1:18:10because bee sting and that that stung like a bitch.
- 1:18:13Excuse my language miss. And ANYWAYS, I'm feeling like
- 1:18:17the most alive and clever I've ever felt in my entire life.
- 1:18:21Ask me anything. Ask me any math questions.
- 1:18:23You should get out on stage I. Should go first are.
- 1:18:26You ready for magic? But no, you said, you said you
- 1:18:28wanted to lead off. I don't want ladies first.
- 1:18:31OK, yeah, but. Know that I'm buzzing for you.
- 1:18:34OK, I don't know why I imagined Joey like popping up and saying
- 1:18:37that whole spiel off the wrong direction.
- 1:18:41Joey, we're we're over here. He's profusely swatted.
- 1:18:44I think Goody can probably see that.
- 1:18:46Joey could probably use a second to come down from the the FB
- 1:18:51more than going. I don't know, maybe going on
- 1:18:52stage could be helpful, but I think a second to calm down
- 1:18:55wouldn't hurt. Monty, do you want me to sing?
- 1:18:57Please, you're going to do great.
- 1:19:00And remember, not all of us can win.
- 1:19:02It only needs to be one of us. And I think it's going to be
- 1:19:05you, Goody. Should I?
- 1:19:06Should I keep my shoes on? Yes, it's so hard to sing with
- 1:19:10my shoes on. Oh right, you were practicing
- 1:19:12earlier. Well, you had one shoe on.
- 1:19:15You think 1 shoe like half bad half Batty?
- 1:19:19Half Batty, I think. Half Batty.
- 1:19:21Yeah, I'm going to take my left shoe off and I'm going to walk
- 1:19:24up in the middle. Onto the stage.
- 1:19:25Onto the stage and I'm going to turn and then in in Goody's
- 1:19:30head, I think the spotlight hits, everything dims, it gets
- 1:19:34quiet. There's a centricity about how I
- 1:19:37feel and I'm connected and you're here.
- 1:19:46But I am bad. I might find you there waiting
- 1:19:56to be mad. But I promise in the end of my
- 1:20:02camper friends, we'll leave this place together and.
- 1:20:15Yeah, and it's gonna be a full on musical display, like more
- 1:20:19than the opera. I'm gonna go on to like a full
- 1:20:21like Hamilton. Stomping your feet, clapping,
- 1:20:24hitting. Ever put your body?
- 1:20:25Making a beat. I would like to help with what I
- 1:20:27got this skill for Razzle dazzle pyrotactic grand finale.
- 1:20:31It's coming early but I I needed it to be there for my buddy
- 1:20:35goodie and I use this raging adrenaline through my veins to
- 1:20:39make as many sparkly explosive explode behind them as possible.
- 1:20:44That is amazing. Let me first tell you the
- 1:20:46mechanics. How this is going to work is
- 1:20:48each time 1 of you gets up on stage to do your talent, you're
- 1:20:51going to have three tries to roll your skill and we're going
- 1:20:55to tell you how many sixes you get.
- 1:20:58Goody. I noticed that that didn't sound
- 1:20:59very much like Mongolian throat singing to me.
- 1:21:02No, but I used the Mongolian technique to have a backing
- 1:21:05harmony to the entire thing. Yeah, that's the loop.
- 1:21:08He looped that part. There's loop at a long stage.
- 1:21:12OK, we'll allow it. So here's how this is gonna
- 1:21:14work. Since you have Mongolian Throat
- 1:21:16Singing three, you're gonna have three tries to roll 3 dice and
- 1:21:21we'll tally up how many sixes you have because Joey is helping
- 1:21:26you out with Razzle Dazzle Pyrotechnics Grand Finale.
- 1:21:31You're going to get one extra dice to roll, so you'll you'll
- 1:21:34roll 36910 times and we'll see how many of those are sixes for
- 1:21:39you. Wow, did you hand me some dice?
- 1:21:43So cool. And we're only counting sixes
- 1:21:45here, sort of like the Havoc engine rule system that we
- 1:21:48recently used in beat the Right. How many sixes do we have Goody?
- 1:21:56Two sixes Nice. Are there any ways that I can
- 1:21:59use experience points here or no?
- 1:22:01No. Dang, OK.
- 1:22:03I'm so sorry that's none of you will be able to use experience
- 1:22:05points. That's OK.
- 1:22:06I mean, this is a moment that we're not trying to level things
- 1:22:08up. We're trying to show our best
- 1:22:10thing that we've ever gotten. Exactly.
- 1:22:12Thanks for understanding. Absolutely.
- 1:22:13Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:14Way to go. I think that was a phenomenal
- 1:22:16performance though, Goody, I think you did great and you get
- 1:22:19a lot of applause, especially having gone right after, like a
- 1:22:23really garbage performance by someone who just wanted to give
- 1:22:27their best elephant impression. It was bad.
- 1:22:31I immediately just run off stage when I'm done and sit down.
- 1:22:35He's pooped the people pooped the people loved it.
- 1:22:38Really. I I I I loved it.
- 1:22:40I blacked out when I took my shoe off.
- 1:22:42I would hire you for one of my parties.
- 1:22:43Really. Mm hmm.
- 1:22:45That's what that that's where like people are.
- 1:22:47I'm gonna have my guy e-mail your guy and then we'll set
- 1:22:51something up. I I don't have a guy.
- 1:22:54Just pretend you have a guy so you seem cooler.
- 1:22:57OK, your guy can call my. Yeah.
- 1:23:01OK. Yeah, Guy.
- 1:23:05Who's going to take the stage next?
- 1:23:07Monty, I got a feeling that you're going to be amazing, at
- 1:23:10most the most beautiful. Juliet rose beyond belief.
- 1:23:12So I I got to say I I think I should go next.
- 1:23:16OK, Yeah, what? I'm your assistant.
- 1:23:19Are we helping with you? Maybe she should go next because
- 1:23:22we'll all be on stage for her. The mechanics don't matter.
- 1:23:26It's summer camp, I forgot. Here's the thing, I'm abandoning
- 1:23:29the plan. I don't need an assistant on
- 1:23:31this one. I got to do this solo.
- 1:23:33OK. I believe that my my dad, his
- 1:23:36his blood is in my blood and because of that I think I'm
- 1:23:40going to go for a more mentalist route.
- 1:23:43OK. And you think you're going to do
- 1:23:46that with Razzle Dazzle pyrotechnical grand finale?
- 1:23:49Bitch, I'm going to do that with between the lines.
- 1:23:51Oh, sick. Because I just don't want to, I
- 1:23:54don't want to show them with like another big blowy up.
- 1:23:57Like he just gave them a big show.
- 1:23:59So I think I should tone it down and bring him, bring him
- 1:24:01something special. Yeah, and again, only one of us
- 1:24:05has to win for this whole plan to work.
- 1:24:07And and Monty, that's going to be you.
- 1:24:08Well, right, but. OK, you didn't have to agree
- 1:24:12that quickly. I mean.
- 1:24:14Take the damn stage, OK? I'm not.
- 1:24:16There. Bye Monty, believe in me.
- 1:24:19OK, so you are using Between the lines 3 as your talent.
- 1:24:25Yeah, I, I look out to the crowd and I I say welcome, ladies and
- 1:24:31gentlemen. I got a lot of tricks and tricks
- 1:24:34and a lot of tricks in store for you tonight, The biggest of
- 1:24:37which is blowing your brain. Excuse me?
- 1:24:40That sounds violent, Blowing your minds because that's what
- 1:24:42we're here doing today, which is what you're using, by the way,
- 1:24:45right now to listen to listen to my voice, right.
- 1:24:47The the thing they could, they could feel for your seats.
- 1:24:50They could feel where your butt's feeling, right?
- 1:24:52Wasn't paying attention to that as I can go.
- 1:24:54Did I put that in your head? I might've.
- 1:24:56I might've. Technically I did, right?
- 1:24:58So that's the thing. Get on up here.
- 1:25:00And I point to someone in the crowd.
- 1:25:01I do. I am thinking more about my
- 1:25:03butt. Did he do that?
- 1:25:05Yep, he did that. Great and powerful, all right.
- 1:25:10You ask for a show of hands and you get lots of eager.
- 1:25:12Actually, you don't. No one's eager to come up.
- 1:25:15Interesting. No one's here, no. 1.
- 1:25:17Comes when you call. You're going to have to, you
- 1:25:18know, really give them a reason to come up on stage and be a
- 1:25:22demonstration. Hey, how about how about you,
- 1:25:24Brock? What?
- 1:25:28Me. Yeah, yeah, I, I'm.
- 1:25:30Not a camper. But you seem like someone who's
- 1:25:32got a steel trap of a mind that there'd be a wonder if I could
- 1:25:34get any sort of secrets out of that.
- 1:25:36Thing. Well, it's a steel.
- 1:25:36Trap. Let me tell you my friend, are
- 1:25:39you? Insulting me?
- 1:25:41No, no, no, no, Brock, get on up here and I'll, I'll tell you the
- 1:25:45thing about magic. I'll show you and the crowd that
- 1:25:48magic is not only real, but it could change your life.
- 1:25:51Lottie gives Brock a shove and he reluctantly, sort of like,
- 1:25:54trudges up on stage and looks around at the crowd.
- 1:25:58Like what? Like it's hard.
- 1:26:00Watch this. This guy's going to make a fool
- 1:26:02of himself. I think I want to roll first so
- 1:26:05that I can see I don't want to role play something really nice
- 1:26:07or something really bad. And yeah, OK, I'm going to roll
- 1:26:091st and see. Let the dice decide.
- 1:26:11I do start with. All right, Brock, I'm going to
- 1:26:14ask you some questions about your life.
- 1:26:16What do and I I ask him what, what?
- 1:26:18What was your your, your dogs? What was your first pet's name?
- 1:26:21I never had a pet. Never had a pet, no.
- 1:26:24What was the street of the house you lived on one day?
- 1:26:26I never lived on a street. OK, what do you do?
- 1:26:30None of your business. I'm a camp counselor.
- 1:26:34All right, like I said, steel trap.
- 1:26:36Not a very good one. What was that young lady?
- 1:26:39What? She said not a very good 10.
- 1:26:41Goody, put your shoe back on. Excuse me, I only, I only need
- 1:26:46with the one volunteer. I only need the one volunteer. 5
- 1:26:48seconds to get this over with or I'm leaving.
- 1:26:51Well, I'm about to amaze you. Ladies and gentlemen, watch
- 1:26:54this. OK Rob, you are rolling between
- 1:26:57the lines 3, so you'll we'll also roll 9 dice and we'll see
- 1:27:00how many sixes you have. Could we say?
- 1:27:02Maybe that Monty has helped him in this because of her work
- 1:27:07surveilling earlier. Sure, you can roll a tense die.
- 1:27:11Hell yeah. Because he wouldn't be able to
- 1:27:14do what he I think he's about to do without the information
- 1:27:17gleam. You're so right, this is a
- 1:27:19teamwork moment. You make your mom.
- 1:27:22Proud that is 4 sixes. Wow.
- 1:27:30The crowd goes wild. Tell me what they go wild about.
- 1:27:34Brock, there's someone you love in this crowd.
- 1:27:37That's none of your business. I can I can see that the by the
- 1:27:42color of your cheeks, that the the color of the turn subtle as
- 1:27:46a Juliet rose, my friend, that there might just be someone in
- 1:27:48this crowd that you have a feeling or two for.
- 1:27:51Don't mess with me, that's none of your business.
- 1:27:54Well, I mean, Brock, it's not for the kind of counselors to to
- 1:27:58I mean, far be it from us to stop you from was fornicate.
- 1:28:02Excuse me? Rubbing elbows.
- 1:28:05Oh, rubbing elbows. Thank you, Monty.
- 1:28:08Yes, my lovely assistant who could be on the stairs at the
- 1:28:10stage today because I needed Brock as my assistant here.
- 1:28:13Hey buddy, how about you just show us that tattoo on your cat
- 1:28:17there, Brock? What?
- 1:28:19If I could just get that out for the crowds inspection.
- 1:28:21That is none of your business take.
- 1:28:23Off your pants, Brock. Oh my God.
- 1:28:26Am I getting the shoes up there? Loving it I think.
- 1:28:31Take them off. Take them off.
- 1:28:34Take them off. Take.
- 1:28:35Them off, take them off. Oh my gosh.
- 1:28:37To your ankles, bro. Come on man, take them off.
- 1:28:40Rock is blushing so hard you might not pick up on this, but
- 1:28:43somewhere at the back of the audience, at the back of the
- 1:28:45amphitheater, Lottie like is mortified, face and hands
- 1:28:50blushing. She looks up at some point and
- 1:28:52just like, gives them. What?
- 1:28:54He can't really tell is a nod yes or a shake no.
- 1:28:58He eventually turns around and gives in and says fine, you're
- 1:29:02right, how did you even know that?
- 1:29:04And he pulls up his pant leg, revealing the botched, gnarly
- 1:29:09tattoo of Lottie's face. Well, The thing is, I first of
- 1:29:14all know a beautiful, a beautiful woman when I see her
- 1:29:18and that's Lottie and whoever Donnie or so something is on
- 1:29:21your leg. I get that the the reference
- 1:29:22material, but God damn, you did not get it right, my friend.
- 1:29:26So this is the this is what you get.
- 1:29:28Guess what? It's not a fucking show.
- 1:29:30It's not a fucking magic show. It's a roast everybody.
- 1:29:32And Brock is our main attendant because look at this hideous
- 1:29:36thing. Sorry to you, sorry I get.
- 1:29:39Oh my God. Did I win?
- 1:29:43Brock just turns on his heel and leaves.
- 1:29:46He can't even believe what just happened.
- 1:29:47He's mortified. He like skirts down the stage
- 1:29:50steps and does like a little about face around the corner to
- 1:29:53get behind like backstage to go into the bathroom to just like
- 1:29:57be mortified in private. That's what.
- 1:29:59That's what you get for rubbing elbows before you're married,
- 1:30:02buddy. You got them.
- 1:30:04You got them, Joey. The crowd literally goes wild.
- 1:30:08These campers have not been this excited about a scandal since,
- 1:30:12you know, in a long time. They're thrilled.
- 1:30:15They all feel way cooler than Brock, and they think they have
- 1:30:18a leg up on this whole camp thing.
- 1:30:20Yes, the counselors aren't invincible.
- 1:30:22They don't do everything right. So learning that really makes
- 1:30:24everyone feel really good. So with four sixes, you're
- 1:30:29coming out strong. Yes, that's it.
- 1:30:31Joey. Joey.
- 1:30:33Joey. Joey.
- 1:30:35Joey. Is that guy?
- 1:30:37Wearing steel Point. Good job.
- 1:30:39Oh no, not that one from the sky, that one is.
- 1:30:42That guy wearing steel toe boots?
- 1:30:44How is am I going to tap that tonight that.
- 1:30:50Wasn't part of the show. It's just a little treat for
- 1:30:54you. Take it home to go.
- 1:30:56Amazing. OK, I think that makes it
- 1:30:58Monty's turn, huh? Good.
- 1:31:01Great. I've been really looking forward
- 1:31:03to this. Monty is going to stand up,
- 1:31:06straighten her pencil skirt, kind of shift her blouse around,
- 1:31:09check her hair, make sure her curls are curling, give one last
- 1:31:13little look into her hand mirror, do a little powder, snap
- 1:31:15it closed. Just you've got this and she
- 1:31:19struts on the stage. Click, click, click, click,
- 1:31:22click. Oh, yeah, she definitely changed
- 1:31:25into heels for this. This is not a flats moment.
- 1:31:32And she is going to stand in front of everyone kind of just
- 1:31:36like Chuck her hip to the side and like put one like arm, have
- 1:31:38her little elbow out. Oh, God.
- 1:31:40And like just look stared on. The crowd says I clearly
- 1:31:45understand why all of you are here, but I need to make it
- 1:31:49known that I am not a bad person or a kid.
- 1:31:55And actually, I was sent here to take some notes on this second
- 1:32:00chance camp and I'm going to let you all know what I've
- 1:32:05discovered. Thank.
- 1:32:07God let him have it. First of all, sleeping in cabins
- 1:32:14with other people. That has got to be breaking so
- 1:32:17many OSHA rules. I swear.
- 1:32:20I'm going to have my father look into this.
- 1:32:22It's disgusting. And Can you believe this food
- 1:32:25they're feeding us? There has been no real nutrition
- 1:32:27in any of this. The State Department is going to
- 1:32:31hear about this. Yeah, tell them I had to use an
- 1:32:34EpiPen. Just eat it.
- 1:32:36Yeah, they let my friend here who has a severe allergy to
- 1:32:39peanuts have a peanut butter sandwich.
- 1:32:41To me, that screams child endangerment.
- 1:32:44Can I hear it? Child endangerment.
- 1:32:46Child endangerment child. Endangerment.
- 1:32:48Child endangerment. Yes Oh my God.
- 1:32:52Also the fire. We were left unattended while
- 1:32:55our 2 camp counselors were canoodling and rubbing elbows in
- 1:32:58the woods. And don't we know who that was?
- 1:33:01Yeah. They.
- 1:33:02Are. Blinking we.
- 1:33:03I know what that is. Know who it was.
- 1:33:06So again, child endangerment child.
- 1:33:09Endangerment. Child endangerment.
- 1:33:11God and last and certainly not least, apparently this whole
- 1:33:18Lantern walk is not what we expect it to be.
- 1:33:23Apparently the whole point of this so-called prize that we get
- 1:33:27for winning this joke of a talent show is just to scare us
- 1:33:31straight. What do we think that means?
- 1:33:34Child endangerment Child. Endangerment child.
- 1:33:37Endangerment child. She's a leader we never knew we
- 1:33:39needed. And yeah, I think she's just
- 1:33:41like fully exposing just everything, just a appraising
- 1:33:46everything she's seen. And she's like a young.
- 1:33:48Obama. I'm telling you, my father, when
- 1:33:51he gets back from his Miami trip and then goes and gets back from
- 1:33:54his Hawaii trip and then gets back from Thailand and then back
- 1:33:58from Japan, he's going to hear about this.
- 1:34:00And I swear Patrice and I are going to write up a really good
- 1:34:04report and it will be in the paper.
- 1:34:07Wesley, it's Monty, bitch. So.
- 1:34:12The administration at the back of the amphitheater is
- 1:34:14mortified. They don't know whether it's
- 1:34:16more important that they step in and shut you up or that they let
- 1:34:19you have the stage. Knowing who your parents are and
- 1:34:23the wrath of your dad, they decide to let you finish.
- 1:34:26So I'm going to let you. Roll or trust fund?
- 1:34:30Appraisal. Let you roll appraisal 4 three
- 1:34:33times which would be 12 D sixes. If anyone would like to help out
- 1:34:38and say how they do, I would allow you to roll 13.
- 1:34:43I think I already did with between the line because I
- 1:34:45really rant revved the yeah. You incited the riot.
- 1:34:51Love it. So 13 yes, 13D sixes holding
- 1:34:55this many D6 is giving trust fund baby.
- 1:35:00I'm a feeling it. Oh no. 1613.
- 1:35:10Oh my God. Which honestly tracks.
- 1:35:14I feel like, like there's no way that it's not.
- 1:35:16You could win the talent. Show with this.
- 1:35:19Letting you finish your talent performance is the
- 1:35:23administration's gift to you. It's their grace.
- 1:35:26This is how they're going to justify not kicking you out,
- 1:35:31which they know they can't do, and not crowning you the winner,
- 1:35:34which they know they can't do, so letting you finish, finish
- 1:35:38out, finish strong. Just a few side eyed glances and
- 1:35:41some stern words from someone on the staff.
- 1:35:45It is wild, just the power of speaking for so long that
- 1:35:47everyone just like is no one gonna come get her?
- 1:35:50And then just saying so much that.
- 1:35:51Endangerment, Endangerment. Wow, really?
- 1:35:57Just one? Yep, just it's incredible.
- 1:35:59I. Keep I keep checking but wow.
- 1:36:05Oh, how's that on the mouth feel?
- 1:36:09At least one of us one. That's true, That's true.
- 1:36:11Which is all we needed again. So true.
- 1:36:13OK, so Joey, what a display. I work, I say.
- 1:36:18I'm a bit of a mentalist. Being the person who generated
- 1:36:22the most noise from this crowd without potentially opening up a
- 1:36:27lawsuit for the camp, you are going to be crowned the winner
- 1:36:32of this year's talent show. And then go down like casino
- 1:36:35night because I use my pyrotechnics for good.
- 1:36:39Right, exactly. Sure, you you're going.
- 1:36:43To receive. Brock's going to come up and
- 1:36:45hand you a trophy that says troublingly talented Camp Second
- 1:36:50Chance 2026, and you are officially invited to be the
- 1:36:54very first to experience this year's Lantern Path Walk after
- 1:36:58dinner, along with two friends of your choosing.
- 1:37:02I can't imagine who you'll pick. I certainly can, and it's my new
- 1:37:07friends Goody and Monty. Yay.
- 1:37:11Goody, Monty, you're gonna, we're gonna have fun tonight
- 1:37:14also. And I pull Brock close as we
- 1:37:16shake hands and as I get close to his ear, I say Bonnie looks
- 1:37:20like my mother and if you ever heard her, I'll fucking kill
- 1:37:22you. But thank you for this.
- 1:37:24He just goes white because he's a fuck boy.
- 1:37:26He probably is gonna hurt her despite the tattoo, but also he
- 1:37:31puts up a brave front and kind of like gives you a shove, as
- 1:37:33much of A shove as a counselor can give a camper without, you
- 1:37:36know, immediately getting in trouble or fired on the spot.
- 1:37:39And again, just sort of like ditches you and.
- 1:37:42I look at him as he leaves and I say you're going to marry that
- 1:37:45woman or I'm going to kill you. That's that's the deal.
- 1:37:47Bye buddy. It's kind of a good thing that
- 1:37:49tattoos botched though, like if he just continues to date blonde
- 1:37:52women. Could be anyone exactly maybe?
- 1:37:55He was on to something. Was it Lottie?
- 1:37:58OK, it is time to stuff your backpacks and prepare for a
- 1:38:02night in the woods my friends. So.
- 1:38:04Really got this part of the prize.
- 1:38:07Oh. No, Monty's going to hate it.
- 1:38:09We get to see the beautiful lanterns.
- 1:38:11That's true really quickly. What are a few items that you
- 1:38:14guys make sure to include in your overnight bags?
- 1:38:18A picture of my ma. I can't go to bed without
- 1:38:23kissing it goodnight. I mean, what do you want from
- 1:38:24me? What do flower people bring The.
- 1:38:28OK, she loves me. She loves.
- 1:38:31Me now, but it's about your mom. She.
- 1:38:34Loves. Me, she loves me more.
- 1:38:36She loves me. I think I just I bring my flower
- 1:38:40books, I bring my, I make sure I bring my flower books for sure.
- 1:38:43That's really nice. Great.
- 1:38:45OK, flower books and. And the Obama too.
- 1:38:51Yeah. All right.
- 1:38:52I'll use it a. Bomb or two.
- 1:38:53I thought you said an Obama too. I wish like a couple fire Obama
- 1:38:57voodoo doll and a fireworks. But only be nice and give him.
- 1:39:01Massages, yeah. Tuck him in really tight.
- 1:39:04Yeah. Goody.
- 1:39:06Goody is gonna have well, I always bring my extra pair of
- 1:39:10shoes and just cuz they were saying the lanterns were weird.
- 1:39:13I'm gonna bring a flashlight and I, I think the the last thing
- 1:39:17I'm gonna bring is my extra super long shoelace.
- 1:39:20It's a, it's 100 feet. Wow.
- 1:39:22Perfect. What about you, Monty?
- 1:39:25Monty does not have a backpack. She actually has a Prada tote
- 1:39:29that she will be stuffing with her makeup, her curlers, some
- 1:39:34pepper spray because. Who knows what's going to be up
- 1:39:36in these woods? And the fire extinguisher,
- 1:39:41because if she's learned anything with these two, it's
- 1:39:46that having a fire extinguisher around is not a bad idea, but
- 1:39:50she's very disgruntled at having to carry it because it's heavy.
- 1:39:53Come on. Let's do it.
- 1:39:55Let's go find out what these lanterns are all about.
- 1:39:57Let's go, goody. I think we got to keep an eye on
- 1:39:59this lady. I think she's she's planning
- 1:40:01something with this much stuff in it.
- 1:40:02Oh, Nope, Nope. It's just, it's a lot of makeup.
- 1:40:05Are you going to pawn it off on one of the Yeah, one of the
- 1:40:07gentlemen? I mean, hey, do you mind if I
- 1:40:10put the bag that's in the backpack?
- 1:40:11Because it's I'm, I'm going to be the one carrying it as she
- 1:40:13like, hands it to me and I'm. Like, Oh my gosh, I thought
- 1:40:16you'd never ask. OK, so no backpack.
- 1:40:20I got to bring it in the bag. OK, got it.
- 1:40:23Make sure you bring the Hairspray.
- 1:40:25I always have the Hairspray. Oh yeah, with the Hairspray I
- 1:40:28could. Well, I packed some retrofitted
- 1:40:31Hairspray. Retrofitted.
- 1:40:33Hairspray. Demolitions.
- 1:40:35I mean, you just a little bit of a castle.
- 1:40:38Dazzle, baby. A tough flamethrower, that's
- 1:40:41all. We're going to see the lanterns
- 1:40:43and I'm going to make it all the way.
- 1:40:45We're going to see the lanterns and there's nothing going to
- 1:40:48stay in my way. Lanterns going to see the
- 1:40:51Lantern. Those are the bugs that are
- 1:40:54flying next to you. Dusk descends on Camp Second
- 1:40:58Chance and you've just finished enjoying the last of your
- 1:41:01dinner, walking tacos and Capri Suns.
- 1:41:09Fucking I missed the. Nothing but the best for y'all.
- 1:41:12I missed the straw and the whole now I got to suck out of it.
- 1:41:16That's right, you do. Now campers are starting to
- 1:41:19migrate toward the start of the path.
- 1:41:22They gather around to watch as Joey, along with Monty and
- 1:41:27Goody, prepare to take their first steps along the path,
- 1:41:30backpacks in tow, eventually heading into the woods to enjoy
- 1:41:34a journey of self discovery. Or so they say.
- 1:41:38Lottie approaches Joey and puts her hands on your shoulders.
- 1:41:43Think you're ready, kid? This is a treasured honor, so no
- 1:41:47matter what you experience, know that it's for your own good or
- 1:41:50whatever. I'd hate to see this price
- 1:41:52wasted on someone too dumb to appreciate it.
- 1:41:55You, you truly do look and sound like my mother and it really, it
- 1:41:59really is putting me right at home.
- 1:42:01Lottie, I I thought I was going to figure out what I was good at
- 1:42:03today. And I yeah, yeah, being on stage
- 1:42:06felt good. But I don't know if I like
- 1:42:07Conan. Maybe I'll find, I'm sorry, I
- 1:42:10mean mentalism, but yeah, maybe I'll find whatever I'm good at
- 1:42:16along the way. Maybe.
- 1:42:17Is that what this path is for? Would it be straight with me?
- 1:42:20Is it is it all the the heebie jeebies Boo Boo boos, or is it
- 1:42:24is it what's the deal with this? It's.
- 1:42:26Going to be the best thing that's ever happened to you.
- 1:42:28Have you ever? Taken the Lantern.
- 1:42:29Oh yeah, the first. You were the first one down on
- 1:42:31the water path. I mean, this is a pretty big
- 1:42:33deal, right? You did this A.
- 1:42:34Treasured honor. And you've received that
- 1:42:37treasured honor. Oh yeah.
- 1:42:38What was it like for you? Are you ready?
- 1:42:41Lottie gives you a slight shove toward the start of the path and
- 1:42:44beckons your friends to follow you close behind.
- 1:42:47Together. You see lanterns in the distance
- 1:42:50start to glow ever so faintly, and in fact you can't decide if
- 1:42:54you're only imagining it or not. But suddenly you're putting 1
- 1:42:58foot in front of the other, feeling pulled towards something
- 1:43:01intense and pushed by something eager.
- 1:43:05I am not. I'm not sure if I'm liking this.
- 1:43:07My belly is starting to feel a little weird.
- 1:43:08Lonnie, where? Where do you is Lonnie with me
- 1:43:10still? Monty turns around and says we
- 1:43:13will get the answers and we will.
- 1:43:14Come back for. All of you.
- 1:43:16Make sure you wear elbow pads, Lottie.
- 1:43:18I've scraped an elbow or two. Bunk in my elbow, guys.
- 1:43:21You guys start walking? I can't stop for some reason.
- 1:43:23OK, you guys, we've got this. And that is where we'll end our
- 1:43:29session. You will have to join us for the
- 1:43:31final installment of Camp Second Chance to find out what happens
- 1:43:35as this trio takes on the Lantern path.
