- 0:30loss. So get ready to grow with me, Porsche the Producer,
- 0:34let's dive in. Hey, everybody, welcome back to another episode of Group
- 0:47of Porsche. I'm your host in face, Porsche the Producer. Before we
- 0:51begin, don't forget to like, share and subscribe to get all the latest
- 0:55and greatest of Grew with Porsche. So you guys, get me today,
- 0:58no guest today. So I want to start off, of course, with
- 1:00gratitude. One of the things that I am grateful for today is my dreams,
- 1:04right because when I have dreams, they're very vivid. You know,
- 1:07when you watch the matrix and how they put the little thing in the back
- 1:11of their head and they go to the different dimensions. That's only how my
- 1:15dreams are for me. They're very vivid. They really appeal to all of
- 1:19my senses and all of those things. So I'm truly grateful for those.
- 1:23So one of the things that I wanted to talk about today is actually a
- 1:26dream that I had while I was in Canada. So those of you who
- 1:30saw on my Instagram and Facebook, you saw my adventures in Canada. I
- 1:34went to Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake, and also Toronto. Well,
- 1:40the very last day that we spent in Canada, I had a dream
- 1:46that night and my mother came to visit me. Now those of you who
- 1:49know my mom has officially been transitioned for a year now, and the dream
- 1:57was so profound. Like when I tell you, guys, when my mom
- 2:00came to see me. In my dream, we were literally sitting at my
- 2:02kitchen table. And I don't know for those of you how you grew up,
- 2:05but our kitchen table has been one of those places where deep conversations have
- 2:10been held, where there's about money, where there's about transitions. It's like
- 2:15there's this profound thing that happens at the kitchen table over a cup of coffee
- 2:22over food. Anybody else can relate to that. I hope you can.
- 2:24Well. One of the things that my mom said to me the very first
- 2:28thing. And I'm going to try to get through this you guys without crying,
- 2:30But if I do, I'm gonna keep talking anyway. So my mom,
- 2:34the first thing she said to me was, Porsha, I am okay.
- 2:38Porsha, I am okay. She said, don't hold on to any
- 2:45resentment towards anybody on your grief journey. Your grief journey is unique to you,
- 2:53and other people don't understand. Let that sink in for a minute.
- 3:00Grief journey is unique to me, and other people don't understand. When my
- 3:07mom said that to me in the dream, I felt a shift happened for
- 3:14me right And I really want to expound on this because I had a hard
- 3:17time really forgiving people and thinking that they understood. I was under the impression
- 3:27that when you're going through grief, other people are going to embrace you with
- 3:32love, embrace you with so much abundance of support. But how can others
- 3:39support you in an arena that they don't understand and at the same time they're
- 3:46going through their own wave of emotions. The other thing my mom told me
- 3:53was go for your dreams, Porsche. She reiterated that to me, she
- 3:55said, even if you have to do it alone, Mommy is with you.
- 4:00Mommy is always with you. And before I continue this conversation, I
- 4:03want to give a special shout out to my sister CEO friend, Miss Jenny
- 4:10duloc Young. She is the founder of She did a videography I actually received
- 4:15kind of the download and inspiration to talk about my dream from her Facebook post
- 4:21not too long ago in regards to her father being transitioned for over a decade
- 4:28now and him coming to visit her in a dream. And what I really
- 4:32want to touch on today, you guys, is the fact that when we're
- 4:35going through grief, right, there's so many ways of emotions that can surface
- 4:41for us, right And I know for me that's been my journey for the
- 4:45last year. But with my mom coming to see me, it really helped
- 4:48me in a sense pivot, really put things into perspective and let go of
- 4:54so much resentment, so much anger towards other people because you don't know what
- 4:58you don't know. I always talk about how in our society we're conditioned to
- 5:02see grief from only one light. We put such a heavy negative connotation to
- 5:10our grief journey instead of looking at grief as wonder closing and another one opening,
- 5:16Right, And so I really wanted to shed some light on to that
- 5:20today to all of you. And so for the next couple episodes, a
- 5:24group of portion that are going to come out after this solo chat with all
- 5:28of you, the episodes are going to get deeper into grief. So I'm
- 5:31gonna have somebody come on to talk about the grief stemming from finding out that
- 5:38their biological parent from a DNA test was not theirs. They found out,
- 5:43being fifty years old, that the person who they thought was their biological parent
- 5:46was not. How crazy is that? Right, I'm going I'll also talk
- 5:48about the loss of that identity, or when you're going through multiple losses,
- 5:57how do you find the hitting gift in your grief journey when you're so bogged
- 6:01down with so many quote unquote losses at the same time. Right, So,
- 6:06I really wanted to bridge that gap today and really talk to you guys
- 6:11about that because I feel as though my mom's message is for the masses.
- 6:15It's not just for me, you know. Some of you who had the
- 6:17opportunity to meet my mother. Her childhood nickname growing up was Miss Lungs.
- 6:21It really was, and considering she starts in the military, she was also
- 6:26a teacher for Clean Municipal School District for thirteen years. My mom definitely utilized
- 6:30her lungs and more than one capacity, and when she channels into me,
- 6:35I want to share her message of inspiration to all of you because you were
- 6:41all part of the Group Porsche. Family. Group Porsche got its name from
- 6:45my mom, so again you know this is dedicated to her and also all
- 6:49of you who have been a part of my journey. Anyway, you guys,
- 6:54I hope that you enjoyed this quick little chat of Group Porsche before our
