- 1:12Speaker 1: the hilarious Chris Frangiola with me. We are going first
- 1:16Speaker 1: this Thursday, November 17th to the Wilbur Theatre, world famous

- 1:43Speaker 1: so good and why they're selling so well. But there's
- 1:45Speaker 1: still a few tickets left. And then Friday the 18th

- 1:51Speaker 1: an early and a later show at the Kennedy Center
- 1:54Speaker 1: in D.C. Everything is at HeatherMcDonald.net. Get those tickets. Speaking
- 2:00Speaker 1: of live shows, last week I talked about a reel
- 2:05Speaker 1: that I saw on Whitney Cummings' Instagram and I discussed
- 2:08Speaker 1: what I thought she was saying. Turns out she was joking.
- 2:12Speaker 1: She was talking about the city of Oxnard. It was
- 2:14Speaker 1: all a joke. She did a video on her social
- 2:17Speaker 1: media a couple days after saying that she was in
- 2:20Speaker 1: fact joking and she let me know that she was
- 2:23Speaker 1: joking and now I'm letting you know she was joking.
- 2:27Speaker 1: So if you live in Oxnard, it was a joke,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and you can go see her perform there. Okay, you guys,
- 2:33Speaker 1: let's get into the Tom Girardi juicy scoop that's happening.
- 2:37Speaker 1: There's so much going on with this case. It's a
- 2:40Speaker 1: lot to cover. I'm going to just get you guys
- 2:44Speaker 1: up to date because people are asking me to cover this.
- 2:48Speaker 1: What I think is so interesting is, okay, first, there's
- 2:52Speaker 1: two things that happen. First of all, the CFO, Chief
- 2:55Speaker 1: Financial Officer, of Tom Girardi's law firm, has been arrested
- 3:01Speaker 1: for embezzling $ 10 million, some of which paid for prostitutes
- 3:05Speaker 1: and mansions in L.A. and the Caribbean, the prosecutor's claim.
- 3:12Speaker 1: His name's Christopher Kamen. He's 49. He was arrested last
- 3:16Speaker 1: week coming off a plane from the Bahamas. He is
- 3:19Speaker 1: accused of running a side fraud scheme within Tom Girardi's
- 3:23Speaker 1: law firm. He's accused of— Girardi, of course, is married to
- 3:28Speaker 1: The Real Housewife star Erika Jayne. We all know that.
- 3:32Speaker 1: And he has obviously been accused of stealing client settlement money.
- 3:36Speaker 1: But Girardi has not been arrested. He's still living in
- 3:39Speaker 1: a legal conservatorship. He claims to have Alzheimer's, and that really,
- 3:44Speaker 1: in my opinion, appears to be true. Prosecutors say that Kamen, however,
- 3:48Speaker 1: stole from the firm for the 20 years that he
- 3:52Speaker 1: worked there and had a front row seat. to the
- 3:55Speaker 1: wider theft. So they're saying he knew what was going on.
- 3:58Speaker 1: He was part of it. He, because he was chief
- 4:01Speaker 1: financial officer, he then knew that 10 million settlement came
- 4:06Speaker 1: in here. We're only going to give 1 million to
- 4:08Speaker 1: the victims. We're going to spend the rest of the
- 4:11Speaker 1: money running our lives, giving it to Tom and I'm
- 4:15Speaker 1: going to take some and I'm going to allegedly get
- 4:19Speaker 1: a prostitute. I'm going to buy a mansion for cash
- 4:24Speaker 1: and then the victim is like, hi, when do I
- 4:28Speaker 1: get the rest of my $ 9 million? And then they
- 4:30Speaker 1: didn't have the means to try to get that money
- 4:33Speaker 1: from Tom Girardi. And it went on and on and on,
- 4:35Speaker 1: like a Ponzi scheme, taking it from people, spending it
- 4:38Speaker 1: on others, putting out a persona. And the board let
- 4:44Speaker 1: this happen. The California board knew of all these complaints,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and they let it happen. So they're very guilty. And
- 4:52Speaker 1: I think what we're starting to really see here is
- 4:56Speaker 1: the fact that I think Erica is going to have
- 4:59Speaker 1: a really good case in what she's been saying the
- 5:02Speaker 1: whole time and saying like, I did not know what
- 5:05Speaker 1: was going on. I did not work there. I did
- 5:08Speaker 1: not work there. I was a trophy wife that stood
- 5:11Speaker 1: by my man and went to the events I was
- 5:13Speaker 1: invited to and got to be Erica Jane and do
- 5:17Speaker 1: my thing and shop when I wanted with the credit
- 5:20Speaker 1: card that he gave me. And no, I didn't know
- 5:22Speaker 1: each case and where it was going. And I certainly
- 5:24Speaker 1: didn't know that the CFO was also taking money. Now,
- 5:27Speaker 1: the other interesting thing that has come out, Erica did
- 5:31Speaker 1: post about this. She said this shit gets crazier and
- 5:34Speaker 1: crazier after hearing about the CFO's arrest. He worked for
- 5:40Speaker 1: the firm, they said, and lived beyond his $ 350, 000 a
- 5:44Speaker 1: year salary. So that's really the thing. If you make $ 350, 000
- 5:47Speaker 1: a year and you're buying mansions and you know, go
- 5:50Speaker 1: and have a place in the Bahamas and all this stuff. It's,
- 5:54Speaker 1: you're like, well, where did you get those? Where'd you
- 5:56Speaker 1: get that couple million to, you know, put an all
- 5:59Speaker 1: cash offer on some place? Um, during his initial court appearance,
- 6:03Speaker 1: prosecutors slammed, um, slammed saying that he was greedy and
- 6:09Speaker 1: this is not a Robin hood type theft. They said,
- 6:11Speaker 1: this is purely greed and a lavish lifestyle. So it
- 6:14Speaker 1: wasn't like he was taking the money. from Tom Girardi
- 6:18Speaker 1: and going, oh, and by the way, I'm going to
- 6:20Speaker 1: run over to this victim's house and give it to them. No,
- 6:22Speaker 1: he was completely part of it, not just, you know,
- 6:27Speaker 1: complacent and not caring about it. No, he was actually
- 6:31Speaker 1: doing his own side scam. Prosecutors say they have reason
- 6:38Speaker 1: to believe that Kamen would flee to the Bahamas if
- 6:41Speaker 1: given bail, and that is why he's in bars, behind bars. Now,
- 6:45Speaker 1: the other thing that happened is there's a whole nother
- 6:48Speaker 1: case that has been brought. The defendants are the Council
- 6:52Speaker 1: Financial Services, the California Attorney Lending. These are the legal
- 6:59Speaker 1: lenders that consecutively lent money to Tom to have him
- 7:05Speaker 1: run this fraudulent, awful criminal case. legal situation where he
- 7:12Speaker 1: wouldn't give his victims the money that they were entitled to.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And by them, by the lenders knowing, they're saying the
- 7:22Speaker 1: lenders knew this. And also the lenders were first in
- 7:25Speaker 1: line to get any money back because they're like, we
- 7:28Speaker 1: lent this money to Tom Girardi, so we should be
- 7:32Speaker 1: the first ones to get all the money back. And
- 7:35Speaker 1: they believe they're part of it. They said that Joseph D.,
- 7:39Speaker 1: DiNardo is believed to be one of the owners of
- 7:42Speaker 1: both the companies, the legal lending company. The suit asserts
- 7:45Speaker 1: that the litigation funders were implied partners, in fact, with Girardi,
- 7:51Speaker 1: meaning they were all part of it together. And they
- 7:54Speaker 1: owed a fiduciary duty to the law firm's clients to
- 7:57Speaker 1: let them know what was going on with their funds
- 8:01Speaker 1: when they weren't getting them. So they're in a lot
- 8:04Speaker 1: of trouble. The partnership began as early as 2005. between
- 8:10Speaker 1: the legal lenders and Girardi and Keyes law firm until
- 8:15Speaker 1: the filing of the Girardi-Keys bankruptcy in December of 2020,
- 8:19Speaker 1: the suit said. When other litigation funders sued Girardi and
- 8:23Speaker 1: Keyes for defaulted loans, Donardi personally stepped in and took
- 8:28Speaker 1: control of the negotiations regarding the other litigation lenders, which
- 8:32Speaker 1: led to various workout arrangements. The suit said Donardi arranged
- 8:38Speaker 1: a full payoff to one of the other lenders, even
- 8:41Speaker 1: though California Attorney Lending held a prioriate lien. So I
- 8:47Speaker 1: know this is really confusing. You're like, Heather, I don't understand.
- 8:50Speaker 1: What they're saying is the legal lenders that helped fund
- 8:56Speaker 1: Tom Girardi's law firm were actually, they believe, completely aware
- 9:01Speaker 1: of what was going on, was part of it, and
- 9:04Speaker 1: benefiting from it. Now this is really important because this
- 9:08Speaker 1: all comes back to the thing that we care most about.
- 9:11Speaker 1: The one thing I said in the Hulu doc is
- 9:14Speaker 1: we all want to know, did Erica know? I didn't
- 9:18Speaker 1: know then. I feel more confident now that I don't
- 9:22Speaker 1: think she knew. I really don't think she understood it.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I don't think I think there is this spousal law
- 9:31Speaker 1: where almost like Bernie Madoff's wife, she was not held
- 9:36Speaker 1: responsible in that Ponzi scheme. And I think that my
- 9:39Speaker 1: prediction is that Erica will not be found responsible either.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And I think part of the reason why she was
- 9:48Speaker 1: adamant about the earrings, which became such a big part
- 9:50Speaker 1: of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is I don't think
- 9:53Speaker 1: she handled it right on camera. I think If I
- 9:55Speaker 1: was her good friend, I think I could have coached
- 9:57Speaker 1: her better to explain it. And what I would have
- 10:00Speaker 1: said is, Erica, when the earrings come up, first of all,
- 10:04Speaker 1: don't wear them on the show, okay? Don't wear them
- 10:07Speaker 1: on the show. But when the earrings come up, you
- 10:10Speaker 1: should say, which is what it is, the reason she
- 10:12Speaker 1: didn't get back the earrings is because the earrings were
- 10:15Speaker 1: purchased so many years back that does not affect a
- 10:20Speaker 1: bankruptcy law. So if she was to give the earrings
- 10:23Speaker 1: back just out of the goodness of her heart, okay,
- 10:25Speaker 1: she could have done that. That might've been good for PR.
- 10:28Speaker 1: But the reason they were saying not to is because
- 10:30Speaker 1: her attorneys were like, this bankruptcy law is not entitled
- 10:35Speaker 1: because of bankruptcy law. They're not entitled to those earrings
- 10:38Speaker 1: because they were purchased so far back. It's not part,
- 10:41Speaker 1: it would have, it would have changed legal precedence. Like
- 10:44Speaker 1: it would have changed law. So the other part of
- 10:47Speaker 1: it is she's been married to this guy for 20 years.
- 10:50Speaker 1: She's 50 years old. Yes, she's on a TV show.
- 10:53Speaker 1: But if these earrings, valued at $ 1. 4 million, was a
- 10:59Speaker 1: home that she owned, that maybe it was both of
- 11:03Speaker 1: their homes, and then after they sold it, passed it in-house,
- 11:06Speaker 1: she was living in that home, and this was the
- 11:09Speaker 1: only asset that she had from 20 years of living
- 11:12Speaker 1: with Tom Girardi— in which he wasn't very nice to her.
- 11:15Speaker 1: We saw it on the TV. And he cheated on her.
- 11:19Speaker 1: We have proof of that. So they had a transactional
- 11:23Speaker 1: marriage where they stayed together. Maybe they were friends. Maybe
- 11:25Speaker 1: it was mother-daughter, father-daughter. I don't know what the fuck
- 11:28Speaker 1: it was at the end. But it clearly wasn't like
- 11:31Speaker 1: a romantic, giving, loving relationship. But she stayed in it
- 11:34Speaker 1: because that was the arrangement and that was the persona.
- 11:38Speaker 1: And a lot of people don't get divorced that are
- 11:39Speaker 1: in shitty marriages. It's a big pain in the ass,
- 11:42Speaker 1: especially when you're, like she said to Andy, Andy, I'm
- 11:47Speaker 1: married to a very powerful attorney. I don't, you know,
- 11:50Speaker 1: a prenup would have done me no good anyway. Like
- 11:52Speaker 1: she knew her hands were tied. And like looking back
- 11:56Speaker 1: at everything, I kind of see where she's coming from more.
- 12:00Speaker 1: And I'm just saying, if the earrings were a home,
- 12:02Speaker 1: I don't think, the people around her on the cast
- 12:06Speaker 1: members and the people at home would see it as,
- 12:10Speaker 1: as such like a, a vanity move because it's like
- 12:13Speaker 1: these big diamond earrings, but really they're her only asset.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And then when Kathy Hilton's like, what about that Cartier ring?
- 12:20Speaker 1: And all the, and she's like, really? Again, I think
- 12:24Speaker 1: if she was just to give everything and just be
- 12:26Speaker 1: like a, you know, a popper walk or whatever you
- 12:30Speaker 1: call it, like, literally have nothing and be wearing sweats
- 12:33Speaker 1: and like, here's my earring. Here's all this. I feel
- 12:35Speaker 1: so bad. I think she does feel bad. But at
- 12:37Speaker 1: the same time, she got screwed too in many ways.
- 12:42Speaker 1: She didn't expect after 20 years of marriage to not
- 12:45Speaker 1: have anything. She didn't know that like, oh, I'm going
- 12:49Speaker 1: to spend all this money. Oh, let's not.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yes.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Oh, can I have that money from the burn victim? Oh, thanks, Tom.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Let me take this and go. So I think this
- 12:59Speaker 1: just really says what she was trying to convey to
- 13:03Speaker 1: us through the TV, which I think was challenging for her.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I think it was challenging for her personality because she's
- 13:10Speaker 1: not a warm and snuggly person. I think it's challenging
- 13:13Speaker 1: because of the persona that she has presented all these years.
- 13:17Speaker 1: And I think it was challenging because she had to
- 13:20Speaker 1: follow her lawyers. And so I think it's been really
- 13:24Speaker 1: interesting what we're going to see here. And I just
- 13:28Speaker 1: I think I said it before, like, I don't know,
- 13:30Speaker 1: maybe they'll, maybe she'll actually join some of the other
- 13:35Speaker 1: people that felt they were screwed. And maybe there'll be
- 13:38Speaker 1: sympathy on both sides. And maybe they can all come
- 13:40Speaker 1: together and realize it's the people at the top. You know,
- 13:44Speaker 1: there's nothing we can get from Tom. And he can't
- 13:46Speaker 1: really even speak for himself at this point. He's There
- 13:50Speaker 1: are many witnesses say he's been deteriorating for years. And
- 13:55Speaker 1: so I do believe he's not faking this Alzheimer's thing. But,
- 13:59Speaker 1: you know, I just think a lot of it was
- 14:02Speaker 1: like it made it really juicy and it made it
- 14:05Speaker 1: like a juicier story. But I think she was really
- 14:07Speaker 1: more like Bernie Madoff's wife. And if you look into
- 14:10Speaker 1: that case, she now she wasn't on the housewives. She
- 14:15Speaker 1: went away, but they let her keep like two million dollars.
- 14:18Speaker 1: She died. lived with one of her sons. She led
- 14:20Speaker 1: a simpler life, but she was not like stripped of
- 14:24Speaker 1: every piece of jewelry or everything because she was not
- 14:28Speaker 1: an active participant in the deception of the Ponzi scheme.
- 14:32Speaker 1: And I don't, I personally don't believe that Erica was.
- 14:36Speaker 1: And if that's going to make you freak out, fine.
- 14:38Speaker 1: We'll wait and see. I think it's going to make
- 14:40Speaker 1: for a super juicy, um, season. Cause I definitely think
- 14:45Speaker 1: she'll be coming back, Erica. And, um, My prediction is
- 14:52Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which I've heard has still
- 14:54Speaker 1: not started to film again. I have heard from a
- 14:59Speaker 1: very good source that Kyle and Lisa are not talking.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Someone I know was at a birthday party with them
- 15:07Speaker 1: and they were never talking to each other while at
- 15:10Speaker 1: this event, though they were both there with their husbands.
- 15:13Speaker 1: So I think I don't know what's going to happen,
- 15:18Speaker 1: and I don't know what's going to happen with Kathy.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Since Farrah, her daughter, Kyle's daughter, who I'm going to
- 15:26Speaker 1: talk a little bit more about at the end of
- 15:27Speaker 1: the show because I've got a star from buying Beverly
- 15:30Speaker 1: Hills on the show, and that was a fun interview.
- 15:33Speaker 1: But she has since said, I now want a smaller affair,
- 15:37Speaker 1: which could be that she's mature, could be that she's
- 15:40Speaker 1: done with all the hoopla of being a TV personality herself.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Or it could be like, this is too much stress
- 15:47Speaker 1: for my mom and my aunt and my cousins and everything.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I really hope Kathy and Kyle can come together and
- 15:55Speaker 1: that they can come back on the show. But my prediction,
- 15:58Speaker 1: it's not something I wish for, but my prediction is
- 16:02Speaker 1: that Lisa Renner will take a Dorinda pause, will come back,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and it will include Erica and Kathy and the rest
- 16:12Speaker 1: of the girls. This is just what I, Lisa, you know,
- 16:18Speaker 1: I still love your lipstick. I'm just saying might be good.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Might be good for you too. Who knows? We'll see
- 16:23Speaker 1: what happens. Aaron Carter, as we know, passed away after
- 16:28Speaker 1: many years of struggling with drugs and alcohol and, you know,
- 16:34Speaker 1: prescription drugs. And I still don't know that we know
- 16:37Speaker 1: exactly what was in his system, but Some interesting things
- 16:43Speaker 1: that came about. So he was working, according to page six,
- 16:47Speaker 1: with an author to write his book. And now there's
- 16:51Speaker 1: some controversy where the release date of this controversial memoir,
- 16:57Speaker 1: which he tried to shut down. So he was working
- 17:00Speaker 1: on it according to the author, and then he tried
- 17:02Speaker 1: to shut it down. So he was spilling all his
- 17:05Speaker 1: scoop and his life to a professional author that he
- 17:08Speaker 1: was co-writing it with. And then he was like, no,
- 17:11Speaker 1: I don't want this out there. And then he passed.
- 17:13Speaker 1: So now we're in this kind of like precarious position
- 17:16Speaker 1: between the publisher, the author who spent all this time
- 17:19Speaker 1: writing it, and a man who is now deceased. And
- 17:24Speaker 1: when someone is deceased, I'm just and I'm not 100
- 17:27Speaker 1: percent sure. But what's what is interesting about when someone dies, like,
- 17:32Speaker 1: for example, Michael Jackson, people can talk about him and
- 17:35Speaker 1: not get the legal ramifications of defamation. That's my understanding.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So there's a good chance that the guy that was
- 17:44Speaker 1: working on this will end up sharing what was told
- 17:47Speaker 1: to him and the book that he has already done.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I'm not really sure. But according to page six, what
- 17:54Speaker 1: they have heard, that was the juicy stuff, was that
- 18:00Speaker 1: Aaron Carter did spend the night at Michael Jackson's house.
- 18:04Speaker 1: when he was younger and woke up with Michael Jackson
- 18:07Speaker 1: at the edge of his bed wearing a pair of
- 18:09Speaker 1: tighty whiteys. Now, what's also interesting about this is that
- 18:13Speaker 1: there is video of Aaron Carter vehemently defending Michael Jackson saying,
- 18:19Speaker 1: I hung out with Michael Jackson. Nothing ever happened. This
- 18:23Speaker 1: is bullshit. He's the nicest guy I know, which is weird.
- 18:28Speaker 1: There is also a video of Aaron Carter talking to
- 18:32Speaker 1: his mother about in which he filmed the conversation and
- 18:37Speaker 1: he is talking to his mother, which he had shared
- 18:41Speaker 1: throughout their reality show and everything, that the mother and
- 18:45Speaker 1: father were struggling financially. They got Nick Carter into, which
- 18:50Speaker 1: one was he in? Was he in Sync? No, he
- 18:53Speaker 1: was Backstreet Boys. Anyway, it was a Lou Pearlman boy group.
- 18:56Speaker 1: We're going to look it up. I know you guys
- 18:57Speaker 1: were like, fucking getting so mad at me. Listen, there's
- 19:00Speaker 1: three groups that could be in sync.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Backstreet.
- 19:03Speaker 1: It was Backstreet Boys.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Got him in Backstreet Boys. As you know, Lou Pearlman,
- 19:08Speaker 1: Lance Bass did a great documentary about Lou Pearlman. Lou
- 19:11Speaker 1: Pearlman is also deceased. He ended up in prison for
- 19:15Speaker 1: tax evasion, but he not only screwed over these kids financially,
- 19:19Speaker 1: but there was a lot of claims that he also
- 19:23Speaker 1: was a sexual predator to these young boys. So in that...
- 19:29Speaker 1: In this interview, this conversation that he has with his
- 19:33Speaker 1: mom that he put on social media that people then collected,
- 19:36Speaker 1: and there's a TikTok that I saw about it, and
- 19:38Speaker 1: it's clearly him talking to his mom. And his mom
- 19:42Speaker 1: is saying, he goes, Mom, Nick, my older brother, didn't
- 19:47Speaker 1: want me to work with Lou Pearlman because Nick knew
- 19:52Speaker 1: who he was. Now, I don't know if Nick ever
- 19:54Speaker 1: has said that he, in fact, was a victim of
- 19:57Speaker 1: Lou Pearlman's. But in this conversation, he was like, and
- 20:01Speaker 1: the mom is like, I know. And I thought that
- 20:04Speaker 1: was crazy. That was because your brother Nick was jealous
- 20:07Speaker 1: of you. He didn't want you to have the same
- 20:10Speaker 1: success as you. And Aaron's like, no, he was protecting me.
- 20:15Speaker 1: And you were the predator that was like, if you
- 20:18Speaker 1: had any inkling that there was a man in your
- 20:23Speaker 1: child's life with your older child that might have been
- 20:27Speaker 1: anything but completely... you know, an upstanding citizen person, the
- 20:33Speaker 1: fact that you would even want to like roll the
- 20:35Speaker 1: dice and go, well, you know, we don't know if
- 20:37Speaker 1: it's true. I mean, like the moms who were part
- 20:41Speaker 1: of Leaving Neverland of Michael Jackson, do you imagine if
- 20:44Speaker 1: they had another son and was told this by their
- 20:47Speaker 1: child at the time and then was like, well, I
- 20:50Speaker 1: don't know if I believe you, but now listen, there
- 20:52Speaker 1: are mothers that are very guilty of turning a blind
- 20:57Speaker 1: eye to abuse when it's a dad or a stepdad
- 20:59Speaker 1: or a boyfriend. And it's so devastating to the kids
- 21:03Speaker 1: because it really makes them feel completely unimportant. And clearly,
- 21:10Speaker 1: I don't know. We don't know. There's never been anything
- 21:15Speaker 1: complete fact in which Aaron Carter says that he suffered
- 21:20Speaker 1: any kind of child abuse or trauma or whatever. But
- 21:24Speaker 1: I definitely think he did. suffer trauma. I think that's
- 21:28Speaker 1: the thing that people then go to oftentimes find themselves
- 21:33Speaker 1: addicted because it's like, oh my God, I finally feel normal.
- 21:36Speaker 1: And I didn't feel normal because of these awful things.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Not every time, but it is definitely a correlation.
- 21:43Speaker 6: From morning swims in Sandy Cove to coffee in Ranala
- 21:46Speaker 6: or walks along Sandy Mount Strand. At a certain point,
- 21:49Speaker 6: where you live shapes how you live. Maybe you want
- 21:52Speaker 6: more space, a shorter commute, or simply somewhere that feels
- 21:56Speaker 6: more like where you are now. On daft.ie, you can
- 21:59Speaker 6: explore the most sought-after homes for sale across South Dublin.
- 22:03Speaker 6: When you're ready for the next chapter, start with Ireland's
- 22:07Speaker 6: number one property platform.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 22:14Speaker 2: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 22:17Speaker 2: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 22:21Speaker 2: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 22:29Speaker 1: filed against me.
- 22:30Speaker 3: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 22:33Speaker 3: what would you do if it was given back?
- 22:35Speaker 2: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 22:38Speaker 2: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 22:40Speaker 3: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 22:42Speaker 3: home dad. What happens next?
- 22:44Speaker 1: When I came in, he started crying.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 22:50Speaker 2: those hard moments that they go through.
- 22:52Speaker 3: It's about what happens next.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all.
- 22:55Speaker 3: I realized how valuable every day was. You're worth the work.
- 22:58Speaker 6: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 23:00Speaker 1: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 23:02Speaker 2: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 23:16Speaker 1: So the other thing that this book claims is that,
- 23:19Speaker 1: which is kind of gross that it's out there, but whatever,
- 23:21Speaker 1: that he took Hilary Duff's virginity. We know that they
- 23:26Speaker 1: were a couple. We know that they're very much in love.
- 23:30Speaker 1: But I'm not going to say the age or whatever.
- 23:32Speaker 1: You can look it up on page six. I just
- 23:34Speaker 1: thought those are the kind of things. So she doesn't
- 23:36Speaker 1: want the book out. She thinks it's gross and that
- 23:39Speaker 1: it's so insensitive because he just passed. But I find
- 23:43Speaker 1: it all very interesting, and hopefully we do know more.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And if these powerful players were abusive Hollywood types that
- 23:56Speaker 1: took advantage of kids, I think it's really important that
- 23:59Speaker 1: we know. And I'm just curious legally what this writer
- 24:03Speaker 1: can share. So that's my question about it. Ramona Singer,
- 24:10Speaker 1: you guys. I mean, I don't know. This is a
- 24:14Speaker 1: sad day for me because she's my favorite person to impersonate.
- 24:18Speaker 1: But she has made a statement and exclusively to page six,
- 24:24Speaker 1: her favorite person on earth. And she said, um, you
- 24:28Speaker 1: know what? I'm going to tell you right now.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Okay.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I'm done. I'm done with the show. I'm not for now,
- 24:34Speaker 1: for now I'm done for now. I'm not going to
- 24:36Speaker 1: be on, um, The show right now, I just need
- 24:40Speaker 1: a little break. I need to just like, you know,
- 24:43Speaker 1: even though I look the youngest and I'm the most popular, apparently,
- 24:47Speaker 1: you know, I need to take a little break. So
- 24:50Speaker 1: she is not, we know that she's not on the
- 24:53Speaker 1: young one, obviously, the whole new cast. But according to
- 24:57Speaker 1: page six and according to all the rumors, allegedly, she's
- 25:00Speaker 1: definitely not part of the legacy. The legacy is, according
- 25:05Speaker 1: to the Reality Rundown and Page Six, is rumored to
- 25:09Speaker 1: be Jill Zarin, Luann DeSeps, Dorinda, Sonia, and Kelly Bent-Simone.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And I think that's a great cast. I think that
- 25:20Speaker 1: could be really fun. I think it's kind of interesting
- 25:24Speaker 1: that none of these women have podcasts. Then someone's like, no,
- 25:28Speaker 1: Dorinda has a serious radio show. I'm like, well, I
- 25:30Speaker 1: don't know if she does, but no one's talking about it.
- 25:32Speaker 1: She's not talking about Housewives and whatever she's talking about
- 25:34Speaker 1: is probably cooking or something and no one cares. So
- 25:38Speaker 1: I'm just saying it's going to be interesting as every
- 25:41Speaker 1: housewife has their own podcast. And I understand why they do.
- 25:44Speaker 1: They used to do blogs that then they would go
- 25:48Speaker 1: back and said, you said in your blog this. Now
- 25:52Speaker 1: we're going to have reunions where they're going to say,
- 25:53Speaker 1: you said on your podcast this. And just like they
- 25:58Speaker 1: would maybe throw up a tweet or an Instagram post,
- 26:00Speaker 1: all of that's going to play into, you know, when
- 26:05Speaker 1: they get together at the reunion. But I think for
- 26:08Speaker 1: the Bravo people, it's a little bit like, wow, it's
- 26:11Speaker 1: a little bit magic revealed. It's a little bit too much,
- 26:15Speaker 1: you know, behind the curtain of like what is going on.
- 26:19Speaker 1: And I think it's nice that these women, we don't
- 26:22Speaker 1: know it. every single opinion they have about every single thing,
- 26:26Speaker 1: about every single episode, because we're going to be able
- 26:28Speaker 1: to kind of see that as they get together and
- 26:32Speaker 1: old wounds and history come up, but we get to
- 26:35Speaker 1: watch it, not just them re-watching an episode and talking
- 26:39Speaker 1: about it. I think this is going to be really great,
- 26:41Speaker 1: and I'm very excited if it is in fact true.
- 26:44Speaker 1: So good for them. Sister Wives, you guys.
- 26:48Speaker 5: Oh my God.
- 26:50Speaker 1: The episode last night, was some of the best TV
- 26:55Speaker 1: I've ever seen in my life. Because it's so fucking real.
- 27:01Speaker 1: It's so juicy. I mean, okay. As you guys know,
- 27:08Speaker 1: we've got Cody and the four wives. And for the
- 27:12Speaker 1: first half of the episode or more, they're sitting out
- 27:16Speaker 1: on Christine's porch. And Christine is saying, my house is
- 27:19Speaker 1: in escrow. And we are under contract. Other states say
- 27:24Speaker 1: under contract. We say escrow here in California. And I'm
- 27:27Speaker 1: leaving in a week, leaving the family, taking my youngest daughter,
- 27:31Speaker 1: going where my other kids and grandkids are in Utah.
- 27:34Speaker 1: And I'm fucking out of here. And she's being she's
- 27:37Speaker 1: so nice. And she's such like a calming kindness about her.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Then there's Cody here and then Mary there. and Robin,
- 27:45Speaker 1: the newest wife, Mary's the oldest wife, Robin's the newest wife,
- 27:48Speaker 1: and Janelle, who is Christine's best friend. Janelle's number two,
- 27:53Speaker 1: Christine is three, and Robin is four. And it is
- 28:00Speaker 1: just amazing. And someone sent me a photo of Cody's
- 28:05Speaker 1: hair where And I can't share because it has– I
- 28:09Speaker 1: don't know where it comes from. But he's leaning down
- 28:12Speaker 1: and there's an entire bald spot right here. And then
- 28:15Speaker 1: there's like trundles of curls and behind. I talked about
- 28:17Speaker 1: it before. So now as I'm watching it, that's all
- 28:20Speaker 1: I'm looking for. Because his trundles of hair is pushed
- 28:23Speaker 1: back by his cheesy sunglasses. And I'm like, is there
- 28:26Speaker 1: a bald spot? Because I think it could be a
- 28:29Speaker 1: manufactured photo and maybe it's not true. So he's so furious.
- 28:34Speaker 1: And basically he's saying– He says in his confessionals, I'm
- 28:41Speaker 1: not seeing truly my daughter with Christine, not because I
- 28:44Speaker 1: don't want to see truly, just because I can't stand Christine. Okay, well,
- 28:48Speaker 1: that's a great way to be as a dad. That's
- 28:51Speaker 1: called co-parenting. That's called being a father. I mean, and
- 28:56Speaker 1: she's just like, and he goes, I don't, I mean,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I don't get it. You know, you're just being selfish. Like,
- 29:03Speaker 1: so what that you're, he basically was saying, so what
- 29:05Speaker 1: that you're unhappy, right? Because the only thing you're saying
- 29:09Speaker 1: you're unhappy with is me. But you agreed to be
- 29:13Speaker 1: part of this family forever. So it shouldn't be about me,
- 29:17Speaker 1: the man. It should be about the family. And by
- 29:19Speaker 1: you making about me, the man, Cody, you're selfish. You're selfish,
- 29:24Speaker 1: which is always what has fascinated me about the polygamous
- 29:30Speaker 1: religion or whatever people follow in a sister-wife situation, is
- 29:35Speaker 1: that if you complain as a woman, you're selfish. Why
- 29:39Speaker 1: are you making it about yourself? It's not about you.
- 29:42Speaker 1: And she's like, well, you said, Cody, that the marriages
- 29:47Speaker 1: are the spokes within the wheel of a wheel. And
- 29:51Speaker 1: if the spoke is broken, it's not going to last forever. Eventually,
- 29:56Speaker 1: it's going to make the wheel, whatever. You get it.
- 29:59Speaker 1: So I just, he's just like, so what that we
- 30:04Speaker 1: weren't in love? Like, I tried to love you. You
- 30:07Speaker 1: don't love me that much either. So yeah, so what
- 30:09Speaker 1: that we weren't in love? You agreed to stick it
- 30:12Speaker 1: out for the family. And she's like, I think I
- 30:15Speaker 1: did a lot for the family. I think I did
- 30:18Speaker 1: really a lot, Cody. I did a lot for the family.
- 30:21Speaker 1: And Janelle is like, yeah, she raised my, she raised
- 30:24Speaker 1: all the kids together. She was always cooking. She was always,
- 30:27Speaker 1: and he's like, and then he goes, and then Robin's
- 30:31Speaker 1: like crying and Robin goes, I just want to know, like,
- 30:33Speaker 1: I understand your, you know, your relationship with Cody is done,
- 30:37Speaker 1: but what about myself and my kids? Like, do you
- 30:41Speaker 1: ever want to see us and hang out or like
- 30:44Speaker 1: you want to end that too, or you need a break?
- 30:47Speaker 1: And she's like, um, I definitely want to see you
- 30:50Speaker 1: guys at like a family reunion, but, um, I only
- 30:53Speaker 1: am going to be talking to the adult members of
- 30:55Speaker 1: the family that I feel close to, which is Janelle.
- 30:59Speaker 1: And so Mary and Robin are like, And Cody's just like,
- 31:02Speaker 1: and then Cody's like, you know, you know, no, Robin,
- 31:07Speaker 1: tell it like it is. You tried and she treated
- 31:10Speaker 1: you like dirt from the very beginning. She never liked you.
- 31:15Speaker 1: And Christine's just kind of like, um, I thought I
- 31:19Speaker 1: was trying. I never went out of my way to
- 31:21Speaker 1: be mean. Sorry that you feel that way. Like, I mean,
- 31:25Speaker 1: so much of it has to do with COVID. Like,
- 31:27Speaker 1: I think that they were all I think he was
- 31:31Speaker 1: really only sleeping with Robin and really only in love
- 31:33Speaker 1: with Robin. And the rest of the women were hanging
- 31:36Speaker 1: on and they were staying in it because he was
- 31:39Speaker 1: still such a great dad that would come around and
- 31:42Speaker 1: their kids loved seeing them. So like a lot of
- 31:44Speaker 1: women that are even in a monogamous marriage, don't get
- 31:47Speaker 1: along with her husband, but they stay for the kids.
- 31:49Speaker 1: And then once COVID happened and he was one of
- 31:51Speaker 1: those people that was just like, absolutely can't be around anybody.
- 31:54Speaker 1: The strictest of the COVID rules, except for my pod,
- 31:58Speaker 1: which is Robin and her kids. I can't see any
- 32:01Speaker 1: of my other kids. I can't see any of my
- 32:03Speaker 1: other wives. I'm not going to sleep in my other
- 32:04Speaker 1: wives' beds because then they go to the grocery store
- 32:06Speaker 1: so they could bring COVID home to me. That is
- 32:09Speaker 1: where she was just like, then what's the point? Like,
- 32:12Speaker 1: if you're not going to be a good dad, there's
- 32:15Speaker 1: no point in having you in my life. Like, forget it. Like,
- 32:20Speaker 1: I've given up having someone love me. I have been
- 32:24Speaker 1: that person that's like, well, my heart and my thing
- 32:27Speaker 1: doesn't matter. But then she was like, but once you
- 32:29Speaker 1: started like neglecting my kids, I'm like, what the fuck
- 32:31Speaker 1: am I doing? So everyone is obviously on Christine's side. Now,
- 32:35Speaker 1: the biggest picture is the TV show. Where does the
- 32:39Speaker 1: TV show go? And that is where it's really coming
- 32:43Speaker 1: up and really frustrating Cody because he is like, what now?
- 32:48Speaker 1: Robin knows the show is not as good. And I
- 32:52Speaker 1: think they also care about the whole family and everything.
- 32:54Speaker 1: And it's not. And she was hoping that she'd be
- 32:56Speaker 1: part of a sister wife. Cody wanted the whole family
- 33:00Speaker 1: to live together on Coyote Pass. Coyote Pass is this
- 33:02Speaker 1: land that they bought that we've heard about for three
- 33:04Speaker 1: years that they can't build on because they owe money
- 33:07Speaker 1: on it. And they all thought they were going to
- 33:08Speaker 1: have this thing on Coyote Pass and build one big house.
- 33:11Speaker 1: And he had plans drawn up. And he's like, you
- 33:13Speaker 1: can each have your own kitchen and it's one big,
- 33:15Speaker 1: huge thing. And Christine, from the very start, was like, no,
- 33:19Speaker 1: I don't want to live under one big roof. And
- 33:22Speaker 1: let's each have our own houses at Coyote Pass. But
- 33:25Speaker 1: eventually she decided, I'm going to cut my losses. and leave,
- 33:29Speaker 1: and I don't care about the show. I don't need
- 33:31Speaker 1: to make an income from you anymore. Goodbye. But with
- 33:35Speaker 1: her leaving, where does the show go? Now, if they
- 33:38Speaker 1: can get another wife, which is what I think Mary's
- 33:41Speaker 1: trying to do, she's having a women empowerment seminar at
- 33:45Speaker 1: her Airbnb that she had with her mother who said
- 33:49Speaker 1: she passed, but now her best friend who she adores
- 33:52Speaker 1: is there. I think Maybe that could be something. Janelle
- 33:57Speaker 1: got fucked over more than anybody. Mary's living in a
- 34:00Speaker 1: nice house all by herself. Janelle and her daughter with
- 34:03Speaker 1: Cody are living in a trailer on the land with
- 34:08Speaker 1: no electricity or heat. And they have to move the
- 34:12Speaker 1: trailer every four months to like a different lot. And
- 34:16Speaker 1: it gets real freaking cold in the winter on Coyote Pass.
- 34:20Speaker 1: And she's like, yeah, I really regret this, but I
- 34:23Speaker 1: wanted to live here because I thought this is the
- 34:24Speaker 1: only way I can get move progress on actually building
- 34:28Speaker 1: a house here on Coyote Pass. But he's like, well,
- 34:31Speaker 1: we can't build anything because we don't have the money
- 34:33Speaker 1: because TLC obviously doesn't pay us anything to get to build.
- 34:40Speaker 1: And I'm not going to stay with you in this trailer.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I've got a beautiful house with Robin. She reveals, this
- 34:46Speaker 1: is the craziest part, you guys, and some of you
- 34:49Speaker 1: I don't even know the anger that might happen. So Janelle,
- 34:54Speaker 1: they each had their own house and they each like
- 34:56Speaker 1: owned their own house, right? In the cul-de-sac of Las Vegas.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Janelle took the profits of her house and gave it
- 35:07Speaker 1: to Robin and Cody to buy a house for Robin.
- 35:12Speaker 1: And that's where they live. And only the two of
- 35:16Speaker 1: them are on that... that property deed. While Janelle has
- 35:25Speaker 1: nothing but the land, her only asset is the land
- 35:30Speaker 1: that doesn't have electricity, doesn't have plans built, nothing, and
- 35:35Speaker 1: she's living there in a trailer being the star of
- 35:41Speaker 1: a reality show that I'm talking about for the last
- 35:44Speaker 1: 12 years. I mean, honestly the most screwed over person
- 35:51Speaker 1: and like the nicest. Um, so I think she's done.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I think everyone wants you to just disband, but what
- 35:59Speaker 1: are they going to live off of? They have to
- 36:00Speaker 1: keep the show going. So if you're, again, I put
- 36:02Speaker 1: it out there. If you think Cody's cute and you
- 36:07Speaker 1: want to have sex with him and share him with Robin,
- 36:11Speaker 1: Mary is like, Mary doesn't give a shit. He's like,
- 36:14Speaker 1: Mary can leave. Mary, um, so Mary's, their daughter now
- 36:19Speaker 1: is Leon. Their daughter has become, transitioned into being a man.
- 36:24Speaker 1: A lot of the older kids, though, are barely featured
- 36:27Speaker 1: on the show and they don't really want to, probably
- 36:29Speaker 1: because they got paid nothing and they're like, what's the point?
- 36:31Speaker 1: So they, so the whole show is very different now.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I will, I will be so bummed if the show ends. I,
- 36:37Speaker 1: it can't. I, I don't mind if they, if they
- 36:40Speaker 1: hate each other and fight and sit on lawn chairs
- 36:42Speaker 1: and talk for an hour. I find it fucking fascinating. But,
- 36:48Speaker 1: I think they need another wife and then, um, and
- 36:50Speaker 1: Mary needs to come out as a lesbian with her
- 36:52Speaker 1: best friend. And, um, I think that'd be great. And
- 36:57Speaker 1: if Robin has a sister, like a real blood sister,
- 36:59Speaker 1: cause a lot of people in polygamous marriages bring their
- 37:02Speaker 1: like real sister to marry Cody, that would really, so that's,
- 37:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to save the show you guys, cause I
- 37:09Speaker 1: don't know what I'm going to do when it ends.
- 37:11Speaker 1: It's so frustrating and so awful.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Um, Speaking of a guy that has a lot of kids,
- 37:20Speaker 1: this came from Humans of New York. This guy, he doesn't,
- 37:26Speaker 1: he gives his sperm to lesbians and different women and
- 37:31Speaker 1: he's got 18 kids or something and he just loves
- 37:36Speaker 1: spreading his sperm and he doesn't charge people, which some people,
- 37:39Speaker 1: their sperm is really expensive or they want to buy
- 37:41Speaker 1: the whole lot so other people can't have it. So
- 37:44Speaker 1: he's got 18 kids running around And he says eventually
- 37:48Speaker 1: he wants to find a couple of the lesbians who
- 37:50Speaker 1: he does have sex with to impregnate. Some is insemination,
- 37:52Speaker 1: some is full sex with lesbians. He wants to find
- 37:55Speaker 1: a couple to be his sister wives. Then we have
- 38:00Speaker 1: Nick Cannon, who just had his 13th kid. There's 13 total,
- 38:08Speaker 1: maybe a couple are pregnant. He just announced it, and
- 38:11Speaker 1: he says that he pays a lot more than $ 3
- 38:13Speaker 1: million a year in child support for all these kids.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I would think so too. I would think you would
- 38:18Speaker 1: pay more. He announced that he said a beautiful day
- 38:23Speaker 1: for beautiful Zeppelin cannon to arrive. This was Saturday, November 12th.
- 38:29Speaker 1: He did an Instagram post. He said, mommy, and then
- 38:33Speaker 1: says her Instagram name, you make it all look so
- 38:35Speaker 1: easy and effortless, but I am forever indebted to your
- 38:38Speaker 1: tireless work of constant dedication, diligent effort, and selfless love.
- 38:43Speaker 1: that you give to our children and myself. Beautiful, that's
- 38:46Speaker 1: a child's name, is privileged to have such a loving
- 38:49Speaker 1: and spiritually inclined mother. Your resilient strength doesn't go unnoticed.
- 38:53Speaker 1: I think it's amazing. I think it's a very nice
- 38:56Speaker 1: thing to say. This woman has every right to bask
- 39:01Speaker 1: in her three beautiful children with Nick Cannon. I just
- 39:04Speaker 1: find it interesting that he is like, you make it
- 39:06Speaker 1: look so effortless. How do you do it? When he
- 39:10Speaker 1: has like six or seven other women That he has
- 39:13Speaker 1: shared children with, that he has been there for the birth.
- 39:16Speaker 1: So just, I mean, honestly, you can just cut and
- 39:19Speaker 1: paste for the next one because there's another one who's
- 39:21Speaker 1: pregnant too. Their kids, Golden, Powerful, Moroccan, Monroe, Rise. I mean,
- 39:29Speaker 1: there's so many, I can't even get all the names,
- 39:31Speaker 1: but this is hilarious. I don't know who did this.
- 39:35Speaker 1: It was sent to me by 10 people. So whoever
- 39:39Speaker 1: did this hilarious meme, let me know and I'll make
- 39:43Speaker 1: sure to let people know. They said National Geographic determined
- 39:47Speaker 1: what Americans will look like in 2050, and it's beautiful.
- 39:50Speaker 1: And it is so funny. It's Nick Cannon's face on
- 39:54Speaker 1: 12 different men and women of different ages and different hairstyles.
- 39:59Speaker 1: And it's so freaking funny. But, yeah, so, you know,
- 40:04Speaker 1: there's a guy who's a sperm donor. There's Cody who
- 40:07Speaker 1: has 18 kids. And then there's Nick Cannon who's expecting
- 40:10Speaker 1: his 13th. So, yeah. Dave Chappelle was on SNL and
- 40:18Speaker 1: people at first were concerned because, of course, he has
- 40:22Speaker 1: a lot of people in the LGBTQ community and trans
- 40:27Speaker 1: community does not like previous material he's put out on
- 40:31Speaker 1: his Netflix special about trans people. And I believe there
- 40:35Speaker 1: is one SNL member who identifies as non-binary. So they're like, what? Well, anyway,
- 40:41Speaker 1: he came on and he did his monologue. And I
- 40:44Speaker 1: watched it, and I thought it was hilarious and brilliant.
- 40:48Speaker 1: And he's talking about what's going on in the world,
- 40:50Speaker 1: which is Kanye and Kanye's anti-Semitic tweets. And I thought
- 40:56Speaker 1: it was really– it's Dave Chappelle. It's what he says
- 41:00Speaker 1: and does. And the thing that he said that I
- 41:03Speaker 1: thought– there were a couple things that he said that
- 41:06Speaker 1: I thought were the most brilliant in it. um talking
- 41:09Speaker 1: about kanye and how he's like hey i normally respect
- 41:12Speaker 1: kanye and like come for him but this was one
- 41:14Speaker 1: time where i was like i'm gonna sit this one
- 41:16Speaker 1: out he made a joke about how he did the
- 41:18Speaker 1: tweet he said what happened was kanye was like i'm
- 41:23Speaker 1: feeling really tired but before i go to bed i'm
- 41:26Speaker 1: gonna write this tweet of where i'm gonna go defcon
- 41:28Speaker 1: on jewish people and he's like and then you know
- 41:31Speaker 1: what he did he went to sleep it's like what
- 41:33Speaker 1: were you thinking and he said um So then he goes,
- 41:37Speaker 1: you know, it's interesting because when it's a group of
- 41:39Speaker 1: black guys, they call it a gang. When it's a
- 41:41Speaker 1: group of Italian guys, they call it the mob. But
- 41:44Speaker 1: when it's a group of Jewish guys, it's a coincidence.
- 41:49Speaker 1: And so it was very interesting the way he talked
- 41:53Speaker 1: about the whole society and how we're talking about it.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And it is a dangerous subject, which made me afraid
- 42:00Speaker 1: to talk about it, really, because how can you even
- 42:02Speaker 1: talk about it without someone being like, how dare you
- 42:04Speaker 1: talk about it? But that's kind of what he examined,
- 42:08Speaker 1: and I thought it was really great. And he said,
- 42:11Speaker 1: you know, based on Kanye's perception, it's not crazy to
- 42:17Speaker 1: think what he thought, but it's crazy to say it.
- 42:20Speaker 1: And I thought that is such a true statement for
- 42:25Speaker 1: today in the digital world, in social media, and why
- 42:32Speaker 1: comedians do, and me, save the stuff. That we just
- 42:36Speaker 1: want to say that we're not totally sure that every
- 42:39Speaker 1: single person would be okay with hearing it. You do
- 42:42Speaker 1: it in a comedy club. You do it live. They
- 42:45Speaker 1: take your phones. They put them aside. They don't in
- 42:47Speaker 1: my show, but I know in his shows, they take
- 42:50Speaker 1: your phone and you can't have your phone while you're
- 42:53Speaker 1: in there. No, you can't have your phone. They put
- 42:56Speaker 1: it in a sack so that you have it so
- 42:59Speaker 1: you can feel if it's vibrating, like in a case
- 43:01Speaker 1: of an emergency, maybe you have a sitter. But then
- 43:04Speaker 1: you have to go outside to have them open the
- 43:06Speaker 1: sack so that then you can check your phone, which
- 43:08Speaker 1: I think is such a great thing. Not every club
- 43:12Speaker 1: has it. People at Dave Chappelle's level insist on it.
- 43:17Speaker 1: And also it's when big comedians have that when they're
- 43:20Speaker 1: working on a special and they don't want the material
- 43:23Speaker 1: that you may see on Netflix online. three months from now,
- 43:26Speaker 1: to be spoiled on a TikTok. But also, let me
- 43:30Speaker 1: see how this reacts. Maybe it's not that good. Maybe
- 43:33Speaker 1: it's something I don't want. Maybe it is too timely
- 43:35Speaker 1: and I don't want it in my Netflix thing, but
- 43:37Speaker 1: I don't want it out there in the universe. But
- 43:39Speaker 1: for the thousand people that came to see this, it's
- 43:43Speaker 1: for the moment. It's not to live on in infamy.
- 43:46Speaker 1: It's for the moment. But when people tweet and do
- 43:48Speaker 1: things like that, like a Kanye, it does live in infamy.
- 43:53Speaker 1: And that is what I thought was so... interesting and
- 43:56Speaker 1: why people are so drawn to Dave Chappelle as just
- 44:00Speaker 1: an artist of stand-up comedy. Anyway, it has gotten some backlash.
- 44:05Speaker 1: People are not happy about what he said. They're attacking
- 44:08Speaker 1: NBC for allowing it. But for the most part, I
- 44:11Speaker 1: think it was really well received and really thought-provoking. So,
- 44:16Speaker 1: you can check that out. Well, some scoop on Tom
- 44:22Speaker 1: Brady and Giselle. Tom Brady... according to page six, said
- 44:27Speaker 1: he wouldn't change a thing. He says that he has
- 44:29Speaker 1: zero regrets about unretiring from the NFL despite the Tampa
- 44:33Speaker 1: Bay Buccaneers' poor start to the season and his divorce
- 44:37Speaker 1: from Gisele. Good. I'm glad you have no regrets, Tom Brady.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Because meanwhile, Gisele has been seen with a new dude.
- 44:51Speaker 1: She is back on the dating scene, Gisele, after the divorce.
- 44:55Speaker 1: stepping out with this guy, Joaquim Valente, over the weekend.
- 45:02Speaker 1: And who is he exactly? Well, the New York Post
- 45:06Speaker 1: says that she was out in Costa Rica on a
- 45:10Speaker 1: dinner date with this new guy, and he is a
- 45:15Speaker 1: jujitsu instructor. for a dinner date in Costa Rica. And okay.
- 45:28Speaker 1: So this is so, so juicy. All I know is
- 45:31Speaker 1: what I read to you guys. Okay. But could it
- 45:36Speaker 1: be that there was some relationship going on before we
- 45:42Speaker 1: heard of their separation? Could, is this guy like the
- 45:47Speaker 1: karate instructor for the kid? Like, Um, I know, uh,
- 45:54Speaker 1: I've known some ladies that have gotten with their kids, uh,
- 45:59Speaker 1: T-ball coach or, um, or heard about it or a
- 46:03Speaker 1: karate coach or things like that. Um, and if she,
- 46:08Speaker 1: I don't know, I find it super juicy and good
- 46:12Speaker 1: for her. Good for her. Get your groove on. I
- 46:15Speaker 1: saw that she also bought, I think, um, a new house,
- 46:18Speaker 1: like very close to Tom Brady and And it's like
- 46:21Speaker 1: 11 million or something. So that'll make the co-parenting good
- 46:26Speaker 1: and easy and good. I'm glad he doesn't give a shit. Like, oh, then, oh,
- 46:30Speaker 1: there was a really, a commercial that, um, was the
- 46:36Speaker 1: two of them that I guess is not aging well,
- 46:38Speaker 1: but it's Tom and Giselle. And it's about calling all
- 46:41Speaker 1: their friends to get them to invest in crypto, which
- 46:44Speaker 1: also didn't age well. And the first thing he says
- 46:47Speaker 1: is he's like, um, Hey, and they're like, he's like, no, I'm,
- 46:52Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm glad I didn't. Or something about retirement.
- 46:55Speaker 1: He makes some joke about going back and from retirement
- 46:59Speaker 1: to going back to football and she's there and he's,
- 47:02Speaker 1: it's part of their jokey part of the commercial. And
- 47:06Speaker 1: so people like this didn't age well for numerous reasons, but, um, good.
- 47:11Speaker 1: If you have no regrets, good. Go, go find another wife.
- 47:13Speaker 1: It's not like you're gonna have any problem dating anyone else.
- 47:16Speaker 1: So I'm glad, I'm glad they're broken up. Good for her.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Go get your groove on. Now, this was juicy. I'd
- 47:24Speaker 1: heard about this episode of a show. This is Glennon Doyle.
- 47:31Speaker 1: And it's somebody I don't really follow that I hear
- 47:33Speaker 1: the name. And she, from what I understand, is she
- 47:37Speaker 1: had very popular books about spirituality. And Oprah loved her.
- 47:44Speaker 1: She was married. She was Christian. But she was like,
- 47:49Speaker 1: I don't know. She was maybe a conservative Christian, but
- 47:52Speaker 1: in a really spiritual, positive way that women loved. Anyway,
- 47:55Speaker 1: she became huge. She, at a speaking engagement, ran into
- 48:02Speaker 1: Abby Wambach, and they fell in love. Now, I don't
- 48:07Speaker 1: know everything, so I might. I don't know if she
- 48:09Speaker 1: was divorced before she fell in love with her. She
- 48:12Speaker 1: fell in love with her. She was never with a
- 48:14Speaker 1: woman prior. She fell in love with her. She was soccer.
- 48:17Speaker 1: They fell in love. And now she is a remarried
- 48:22Speaker 1: lesbian woman to her, and they have a podcast together
- 48:25Speaker 1: along with her sister, okay? And it's a very popular podcast.
- 48:31Speaker 1: And it's about kindness and, you know, growth and like
- 48:35Speaker 1: all that kind of good stuff, right? So I heard
- 48:40Speaker 1: people talking about it that they did an episode. So
- 48:42Speaker 1: I listened to it with Peter on the way down
- 48:44Speaker 1: to the boat this weekend. And it was the episode
- 48:47Speaker 1: that that never was. And they're like, come on. And
- 48:51Speaker 1: they're like, okay, you guys were just going to talk
- 48:53Speaker 1: about what just happened. We were going to have an
- 48:55Speaker 1: interview with someone. We were very excited to interview. We
- 48:59Speaker 1: spent a lot, long time preparing for it. And the
- 49:03Speaker 1: way we do it is there are zooms or however
- 49:06Speaker 1: they do it.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Zoom.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I assume she's like, we have several teams that work
- 49:10Speaker 1: on this podcast, which always kills me. Cause it's like,
- 49:15Speaker 1: just Danny and I. And so, They say we've got
- 49:19Speaker 1: our game. guest and our team works with that guest
- 49:23Speaker 1: to make sure that all the tech stuff is working
- 49:25Speaker 1: with them. And then we have our, another team working
- 49:28Speaker 1: on our tech stuff. I'm like, it's just a Zoom.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I don't know what so much is involved. When I
- 49:33Speaker 1: do a Zoom, they send it and then Annie presses
- 49:35Speaker 1: the click button and then she walks away and then
- 49:38Speaker 1: I do the interview. But okay. Okay. you know, whatever. So,
- 49:42Speaker 1: and then they merge the two Zooms together and then
- 49:45Speaker 1: we do this amazing interview. So they get alerted that
- 49:50Speaker 1: the one team helping the guest, there was some type
- 49:54Speaker 1: of issue and the guest's husband spoke to the team
- 49:59Speaker 1: member in a disrespectful way. And they heard that and
- 50:04Speaker 1: they said, we're out. We're not doing the interview. You
- 50:08Speaker 1: do not especially a man, speak to our young team
- 50:12Speaker 1: girl like that. So very good. You know, that's great.
- 50:17Speaker 1: That's nice. And then they said, when we talked to
- 50:20Speaker 1: the guest, she said, oh, is this because the team member,
- 50:25Speaker 1: I'm just going to call her Amy. Okay. I don't
- 50:26Speaker 1: know her name once. is this because Amy's feelings were hurt?
- 50:30Speaker 1: And then that also really pissed them off because they
- 50:32Speaker 1: thought that was like a rude way instead of being like, wait,
- 50:35Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Did we speak? You know, I'm sorry that
- 50:37Speaker 1: we got frustrated. I didn't, you know, I didn't mean
- 50:41Speaker 1: for my husband or I to like speak poorly or whatever.
- 50:44Speaker 1: It's just been a long day. I probably, it wasn't
- 50:45Speaker 1: anything like, it was like, oh. And then she said, well,
- 50:50Speaker 1: it was fine when I did this very popular male
- 50:53Speaker 1: comedian's um podcast I did that and it worked out
- 50:57Speaker 1: fine or something so I don't know what's going on
- 50:59Speaker 1: they're like it's fine we're just we're not we're not
- 51:01Speaker 1: gonna fuck with you basically we're not fucking with you
- 51:03Speaker 1: we don't need you on our show we're super rich
- 51:06Speaker 1: we're super popular we live in Manhattan Beach we're two
- 51:09Speaker 1: happy lesbians with my sister and we don't need to
- 51:11Speaker 1: do this and it was good because it made for
- 51:14Speaker 1: a really juicy podcast probably much juicier than whoever this
- 51:16Speaker 1: woman was who was pushing her podcast or her book
- 51:20Speaker 1: or her you know women's empowerment weekend The thing is,
- 51:24Speaker 1: nobody knows who the person was. So the Reddit starts
- 51:27Speaker 1: going and people are trying to guess who it is
- 51:29Speaker 1: with the clues. And they're thinking it's Harry and Meghan
- 51:35Speaker 1: because they don't follow them. And they used to be
- 51:38Speaker 1: big fans of Harry and Meghan and now they're not.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I don't think so. I don't think that Meghan would
- 51:45Speaker 1: use the words. Well, for one thing, I think there's
- 51:49Speaker 1: no way Harry was helping Meghan with a Zoom. No way.
- 51:52Speaker 3: No way.
- 51:53Speaker 1: He doesn't know how to do it. He doesn't need
- 51:54Speaker 1: to do it. She's got someone else to help her there. Secondly,
- 51:58Speaker 1: I don't think they would get frustrated with technology even
- 52:02Speaker 1: if it was them. Thirdly, I don't think she would say, oh,
- 52:05Speaker 1: did she have her feelings hurt? To me, that sounds
- 52:07Speaker 1: like someone that is definitely over 50 that would say
- 52:11Speaker 1: that about a younger person that they were spoke harsh
- 52:16Speaker 1: to like, Oh God, these, these Gen Zers get a
- 52:18Speaker 1: fucking backbone. Like, it doesn't seem like someone who's like
- 52:22Speaker 1: 35 or 40 would say that. Like someone has to
- 52:24Speaker 1: be a little bit older to say that. So I
- 52:26Speaker 1: don't think it's them. Other people think that it's Kelly
- 52:29Speaker 1: Ripa and her husband. I don't think it's them because
- 52:32Speaker 1: I don't think Kelly Ripa would brag about being on
- 52:34Speaker 1: some other guy's podcast. I think the person that would
- 52:37Speaker 1: do this is someone who It's kind of new to
- 52:41Speaker 1: doing podcasts and new to doing Zooms in which she
- 52:45Speaker 1: was like, you know, I've been on some other great
- 52:47Speaker 1: podcasts and they don't get frustrated with us like not
- 52:50Speaker 1: knowing how to do this. And then the husband like,
- 52:55Speaker 1: you know, barking at him. I thought that was really interesting.
- 52:58Speaker 1: And so anyway, it's exactly what I said on my
- 53:02Speaker 1: Extra Juicy Scoop Friday is that podcasts really are just
- 53:05Speaker 1: people talking about each other behind their back and then
- 53:07Speaker 1: you guys get to listen.
- 53:08Speaker 3: So.
- 53:10Speaker 1: So we don't know. I went down another path that
- 53:15Speaker 1: I will share on my Extra Juicy Friday stuff of
- 53:20Speaker 1: who I think it might be. I'm just glad to
- 53:22Speaker 1: say it was not me. But I was glad we
- 53:26Speaker 1: heard it because I'll be honest. I get frustrated sometimes,
- 53:30Speaker 1: especially with technology, and so does Peter. And I'm putting
- 53:35Speaker 1: it out there now because if it ever happens– And
- 53:38Speaker 1: you hear that we are not 100% pleasant delights 100%
- 53:41Speaker 1: of the time. And what I'm guessing in whoever these
- 53:44Speaker 1: people are is they're doing this Zoom. And with all
- 53:47Speaker 1: these different teams and all these technical things, which I
- 53:50Speaker 1: don't know why that took– why it's such an ordeal
- 53:53Speaker 1: to do this. Maybe there was a filter or something
- 53:56Speaker 1: that this older woman wanted that wasn't– so she wasn't
- 53:59Speaker 1: looking as cute. And she was asking her husband's help.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Maybe on their end, it was their fault. And already
- 54:07Speaker 1: it's now 12.15. It was supposed to start at 12.
- 54:11Speaker 1: The woman has another thing at 1. Can we even
- 54:14Speaker 1: do this? And so there might have been a little
- 54:17Speaker 1: shortness and frustration. But I think it's classy that they
- 54:21Speaker 1: didn't tell us, though, if I would like to know. Okay,
- 54:25Speaker 1: so if anybody knows for sure, can you please DM
- 54:28Speaker 1: me and I'll take it to the grave. Um, because yeah,
- 54:33Speaker 1: I'm just like very, I'm just curious about it, but
- 54:35Speaker 1: I'm like, well, I'm glad we listened to it because
- 54:38Speaker 1: I've gotten frustrated. I've been like, oh my God, why
- 54:41Speaker 1: did I even agree to do this thing? It's so
- 54:43Speaker 1: late now. This is annoying. And that is why I
- 54:47Speaker 1: rarely do Zooms because I like the person in person.
- 54:51Speaker 1: I like to really get to know them. If they're
- 54:54Speaker 1: running late, it's never a problem unless it's like a
- 54:57Speaker 1: half hour. And even then, I've had two people that
- 55:00Speaker 1: were like a half hour late. And I've told you
- 55:03Speaker 1: about them on my Extra Juicy Scoop episodes. And it
- 55:07Speaker 1: did piss me off. And at one point, I was like, Annie,
- 55:10Speaker 1: I'm kind of in such a bad mood now. I
- 55:12Speaker 1: feel really disrespected that they're this late. I don't even
- 55:15Speaker 1: want to do it. But then the other part of
- 55:17Speaker 1: me was like, your day's not ruined because of it. And,
- 55:22Speaker 1: you know, but I get how, when it's just a
- 55:24Speaker 1: zoom and you've got two other people to talk to
- 55:26Speaker 1: that are all on mics, you're like, fuck the, fuck
- 55:28Speaker 1: these assholes. We're just going to do our own show.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Fuck it. But I've, my mind is like, they drove here,
- 55:34Speaker 1: they got cute. All right. Shake it off. Like do it.
- 55:39Speaker 1: It's fine. But it's, I mean, it's hard just to
- 55:43Speaker 1: always be like a hundred percent pleasant. And, um, So
- 55:47Speaker 1: if you know, please let me know because I'm dying
- 55:50Speaker 1: to know. And I love things where they don't say
- 55:54Speaker 1: the name and we have to figure it out. I mean,
- 55:57Speaker 1: way more interesting than a blind item, you know, or
- 56:01Speaker 1: anything like that. So get ready for more shit like
- 56:05Speaker 1: this happening on podcasts, which I totally think will. Chris Evans,
- 56:10Speaker 1: you guys. Talked about it with Brandy and Julie that
- 56:14Speaker 1: he was single. He's the sexiest man alive. Well, this
- 56:19Speaker 1: chick was listening to Juicy Scoop, and she's like, hey, motherfuckers,
- 56:23Speaker 1: I'm the girlfriend, and had her mom do a press
- 56:26Speaker 1: release and get it out. He's been dating this girl,
- 56:29Speaker 1: Alba Batista, and it's serious, okay? And he's never been happier, okay?
- 56:39Speaker 1: That's the headline. So my friend, Krista, better not cross
- 56:44Speaker 1: the street. Chris Evans has a new love in his life.
- 56:47Speaker 1: He's been dating this Portuguese actress, Elba, for over a year,
- 56:50Speaker 1: and it's serious. They are in love, and Chris has
- 56:53Speaker 1: never been happier? Okay. Well, that's not what he said
- 56:57Speaker 1: in the People article. God damn it. Good for them.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Heather and Whitney talked.
- 57:06Speaker 1: that they want to be bad weather again, but at
- 57:08Speaker 1: one point they just could not come to a conclusion
- 57:11Speaker 1: of the meaning of the mines, of why they're not
- 57:14Speaker 1: getting along. And I saw someone go, can someone just
- 57:16Speaker 1: explain why they're not getting along? This is what happened.
- 57:21Speaker 1: Whitney was talking about a rumor in which Lisa Barlow
- 57:27Speaker 1: was given blowjobs to get jazz tickets. And she brings
- 57:34Speaker 1: it up. to Lisa on camera to say, just so
- 57:38Speaker 1: you know, we talked about this on camera and I
- 57:42Speaker 1: want you to know it. And we talked and, and
- 57:45Speaker 1: we talked about it at actually at a jazz game
- 57:51Speaker 1: and she gets upset obviously. And she's like, and Heather
- 57:55Speaker 1: was there. And Heather says, I remember being at the
- 57:59Speaker 1: jazz game, but I never remember you guys talking about
- 58:02Speaker 1: Lisa Barlow and, giving blowjobs. And if I did, I
- 58:06Speaker 1: wouldn't want to participate in that conversation on air and
- 58:10Speaker 1: give it any other thoughts. This is awful. So it's again,
- 58:17Speaker 1: housewives talking about rumors. So you have that. On Potomac,
- 58:24Speaker 1: there was some juice that happened last night. So anyway,
- 58:26Speaker 1: they don't get along. They don't agree that they, whatever,
- 58:30Speaker 1: about this dumb rumor. The other storyline on Potomac is
- 58:35Speaker 1: Candace has a husband named Chris, and Giselle said, Chris
- 58:40Speaker 1: came into my room to talk during the reunion, and
- 58:44Speaker 1: it made me uncomfortable. And so nothing happened, but it
- 58:49Speaker 1: made me uncomfortable that I was alone in a room
- 58:51Speaker 1: with a closed door with Chris. Then the other girl, Ashley,
- 58:56Speaker 1: who is married and now divorcing this old Australian who
- 59:00Speaker 1: that was caught with a stripper last year, but also
- 59:05Speaker 1: there was rumors that he was with a guy in London.
- 59:10Speaker 1: and that also he grabbed a male cameraman's ass. So
- 59:16Speaker 1: he could be a little bi. She says she's bi.
- 59:18Speaker 1: She says she does three subs with her husband, Michael,
- 59:21Speaker 1: but doesn't want to anymore, so they're getting a divorce.
- 59:25Speaker 1: That's important to the story. Ashley says, I was at
- 59:28Speaker 1: the W, I went to some hotel, rooftop hotel, and
- 59:32Speaker 1: your husband, Chris, DM'd me and said, you should have
- 59:36Speaker 1: come to my bar or whatever the restaurant he runs.
- 59:40Speaker 1: And she thought that was a phishing for flirting on
- 59:43Speaker 1: a DM. Candace is like, my husband did that because
- 59:47Speaker 1: he's trying to work social media and get high profile
- 59:50Speaker 1: people at his restaurant. And he was like, Ashley, you
- 59:53Speaker 1: should have come here. So we could take a photo
- 59:55Speaker 1: and people would know that the Real Housewives of Potomac
- 59:57Speaker 1: come to my restaurant, not this one that you were at.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: They're like, all right. So Candace is really pissed. So
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: then she says, well, I know the guy who claims
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: has your husband as a client who has your husband
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: come over and suck his D. So she said that
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: last night. And then they're all– and then Karen, who's
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: a grand dame, is like, well, thank you for inviting
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: us to this wine luncheon. And then they all get
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: up and leave. And it's like– I don't even think
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Ashley cares because she's like, there's been rumors that my
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: husband is bi and everything. I already told you I'm bi.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: We obviously mess around and swing and whatever the fuck.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: So it wasn't even that shocking. But she's like, hey,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I've got the scoop. I know the sex worker who
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: apparently has your husband as a client. And I'm just like, wow,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: these shows are just going. I mean, so much about
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: these shows are about people's husbands and marriages. And that's
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: why it's kind of interesting when nobody has a spouse.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: And if we see the legacy OGs, none of those
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: women but Jill Zarin is the only one that has
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: like boyfriend, who's Gary. The rest of them are all single.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I want them to be able to have enough juice
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: and fun that they don't have to trash each other's
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: relationships and ruin relationships with the father of their kids
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: and stuff to make TV. I don't think it should
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: be that, but that's what it is. There you go, people.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Leonardo DiCaprio celebrated his 48th birthday, but his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: was not there. I don't know why. Maybe she was working.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Maybe she was with her baby. The people that were there,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: some of the people that were there were A-listers like
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Toby McGuire, Bradley Cooper, Kate Hudson, Rami Malek, Ashton Kutcher,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Mick Jagger, Jamie Foxx, and LeBron James. Also, Adrian Brody,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Casey Affleck, and his girlfriend, Kaylee Cowan. Interesting. Stella Maxwell,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Nikki Hilton, Rebel Wilson, And her fiance, Ramona, not the Ramona,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: but Ramona Agruma. Evan Ross, Diana Ross' son. Somner Ray. Wait,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Summer Ray. Sorry, Summer Ray. I was thinking it was
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: that Somner girl from, yeah, I don't know who Summer
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Ray is. And some agent, Rich Paul. Anyway, there you go,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: you guys. And his parents were there. That's nice. And
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: that's it. I don't know where Gigi Hadid was. Maybe
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: it's over. Maybe it's not. We'll see. Now, you guys,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: I have a great interview with one of the stars
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: of the hot new show on Netflix, Buying Beverly Hills. Hello,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: and welcome to Juicy Scoop. I have the second most
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: exciting Brandon in my life. It's Brandon Graves from the
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: hit show Buying Beverly Hills on Netflix, all about the
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: agency and Kyle's family, Kyle Richards' family, Mauricio. Farrah, Alexia,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and Brandon.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: And welcome to Juicy Scoop.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: This is exciting.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: I'm so excited to be here. I am a Juicy
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Scooper since day one. I'm not just saying that because
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: I'm here. I totally am. I am so excited to
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: be here, honestly.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Well, first of all, as a realtor and a Juicy Scooper,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I want to give you double props because... You were aggressive.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: You cold called Juicy Scoop and said, I'm a huge
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Juicy Scooper. Can I come on the show? And we
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: were like, yes, this is great. You make our life
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: really easy when I don't have to beg and not
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: be answered back and all of that.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: You got to go after it. You got to go
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: after what you want.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: You got to go after this. So the show is
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Buying Beverly Hills. There's eight episodes. And here's all of
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you guys at a party, a premiere party.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Yes, that was last week.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Yes. And so I am liking it. Now, there have
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: been a lot of shows about real estate, L.A. real estate.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: And you know one thing that I really like about
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: watching it? It makes me fall in love with L.A. again.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: And it makes me feel grateful for being from Los
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Angeles and living in Los Angeles.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Why is that?
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Just seeing that so many people want it and that
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: the world thinks it's cool. And I think sometimes when
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: you're here and we've gone through some tough years in
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: the city that you're like... Same thing when I was
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: watching the... What's the Empire one? The Netflix show, what's
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: that called?
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: Bling Empire?
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Bling Empire. When I watched Bling Empire... And it was
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: like filmed before the pandemic and then it came out
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: and it made me go, oh my God, no, our
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: city is beautiful when you're on the top of like.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: A $ 12 million house.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it really, really is stunning. And so, no, I
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: do like it for that. It's like the same way
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I feel when I watch like Love is Blind. And
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I'm like, I should be more grateful to be married.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Everybody wants to be married. Like, why am I, like, completed?
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: LA is still a magical place. I've been here for
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: 12 years. I love it. I love it.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Where did you grow up?
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: I'm from Phoenix, Arizona, originally.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Oh, okay. So we're going to get into real estate life.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: But what was interesting when we got to know you
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: on the show is that you have this whole other
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: life before real estate. And you were a dancer? Yeah.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: I moved here in 2010 to pursue professional dance. So
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: I did that for about nine years. And then I,
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: once that fizzled out, I turned like 32 and I'm like, okay,
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: what's the next chapter going to be?
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: But wait, I want to hear about that chapter. Yeah.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: So what, like, did you dance as a kid or
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: did you take formal training?
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: Well, I grew up, um, I, I was kind of
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: like a self-taught dancer. I started doing classes and things
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: through a program in the city of Phoenix, which were
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: designed to keep children off the street. So I kind
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: of honed my skills there. And then I started teaching.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: I used to teach a program called Dance Phoenix every
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: Saturday at like 10 a.m. with kids. After being out partying,
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: I would teach in sunglasses. I was like... I was hungover,
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: but I showed up. I was there. I taught dance
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: for years. And then after I started dancing for the
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: NBA and started making... The big cuts started beating out people.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: I said, well, what can I do next? How can
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: I take this to the next level? So that's when
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: I came here in 2010.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: And how was that? Did you ever go on tour?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: What was those years like trying to make it in L.A.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: in entertainment?
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: I mean, it was tough, but it was fun. I
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: didn't do the big tours. I didn't do any of that.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: I booked some jobs. They were like small things.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: You know how it goes in the industry.
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: You're just happy to get something. But I think I've
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: auditioned for everybody several times over.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Gotten pretty far, but I definitely enjoyed it. I mean,
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: at one point I was living in a house with
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: 15 people. I did the whole struggle LA experience. Don't
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: want to do it again, but I did it. And
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: I'm kind of happy that I did it.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: And so you're like, okay, what's the second hardest industry
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: that I can also try to be in? Okay, let's
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: do real estate because there's just as many people trying
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: to make it in real estate as there is probably
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: in dance. So what made you decide to pursue that?
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: I've always had a passion for real estate. I remember
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: when I would go to the supermarket with my mom
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: and they would have those free real estate magazines on
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: the way out. I would grab a stack of those.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: She didn't give a shit because they were free. So
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: I would take a stack of those. I would go
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: home and kind of envision and circle the house that
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: I would dream of buying and selling. So it was
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: always in me. It was just a matter of time.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Did you imagine yourself on a bus bench?
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: I did. And I haven't did that yet, but I
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: definitely want to. I've got to find the right corner.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: So, you know, I come from a real estate background. And,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: you know, once again, Mauricio, Kyle, they're not the first
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: to have a family business because here I am with
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: my parents. We were Bob, Pam, and Heather McDowell of
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: White House Properties, and they had a personalized license plate.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: I love the license plate. Bob and Pam. Okay.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: And I have to say, though, we realized later on
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: when we would, like, pitch a listing, we'd be parked
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: in front of the house. And then I was like,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: wait a minute. And then someone would, I think other
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: realtors that were maybe door-to-door, would go, oh my God,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: that house is... They're obviously seeing.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: Poaching, yeah.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Yeah, they're obviously seeing them. So then let's go reach
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: out to them. So you never know where you might
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: get the lead, right?
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: You gotta watch your back for sure.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: So, all right. So you take the test and then
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: how does... Like, how long were you doing real estate
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: before you got to the agency and then they said,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you know what? We're interviewing people to possibly be also
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: featured on this reality show. How did that all come about?
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: Okay, so I'll break it down for you. I tried
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: to make it too long.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: No, can tell.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: So, I guess I used to live in Woodland Hills
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: for eight years.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: Right before the pandemic, I was working at Health Net,
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: which is right here on Canoga.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Health?
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: Health Net. Oh, okay. A health insurance company.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: I've probably driven past it a million times.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Oh, so you were already doing a regular job.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: I was. Okay, you were being professional.
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: Yeah, when I was dancing, I was also working a
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: regular job, too. I had to pay the bills.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Yeah. When I was doing stand-up, I was doing real estate.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to do what it takes, you know?
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: You got to pay the bills. So I was doing
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: that up until the pandemic hit. I was working at
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: Health Net right around the corner. Pandemic hits. I kind
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: of reevaluated my life. I'm like, okay, I've been away
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: from my family for about 13 years, wait, 10 years now,
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: not much is happening. Maybe this is a sign to
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: go home. So my lease happened to be up at
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: the time on my apartment. So I put all my
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: stuff in storage and I went home just to be
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: with my family, like during the pandemic. For some reason,
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: I left my belongings here because something told me to
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: come back, that I was coming back.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Well, also, how long did the pandemic really last in Phoenix?
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Like a month?
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: Yeah, they definitely did their own thing. I remember when
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: I got back, I'm like, where are the masks? Like,
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: what the fuck is going on? Like, Nobody wore masks,
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: but that's a whole other thing. That scared the shit
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: out of me when I got there. So along the
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: way while I was working, I was like planting seeds,
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: trying to get into real estate on the high end side.
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: I already had my license.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Oh, you did?
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: So you got your license while you were doing your
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: other job, which is very smart to do. I tell
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: everybody that, which is great because you can keep that
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: regular job, take the classes at night. Whether, I mean,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: you probably had to take them online, but I always
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: feel like it's easier if you can do it in person,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: but whatever.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: I was taking the classes in the evening in person,
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: which is best for me because I can't pay attention
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: if I'm just like online sitting at home and fucking
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: doing laundry and all that shit. So yeah, I was,
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: what was I saying?
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: So now you're in Phoenix.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: So I had got an email about a job that
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: I'd applied for as an assistant, which is for Kevin.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: So Kevin is actually Sonica's boyfriend on the show.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Oh, okay, the young guy. Wait, is he featured? I
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: don't think he's in the photo.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: No, he's not.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: He's kind of like a secondary.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: He's like a friend of.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: Yeah, he's like.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: So you're working there. And then when do you hear
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: the rumblings of this show might be happening?
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: After a year, I heard there was an email that
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: came out about this show. I guess they had tried
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: to do it several years before.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Oh, really? With Mauricio?
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: Yeah, he's spoken about that.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Yeah, because I was like. I was thinking about it,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: and I'm like, okay, there was always Million Dollar Listing,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: which is on Bravo, and I know Josh Flagg, Josh Altman, Tracy.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: David and James are with the agency, too.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: They what?
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: David and James are with the agency, too. They were
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: on Million Dollar Listing.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: But now they're not coming back to Million Dollar Listing.
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: That's what I heard, yeah.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: So there's always been that, and then, of course, the
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: selling Sunset, which was a whole other animal, and then
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: OC Sunset. And so when this came out, I'm like, yeah,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: at a certain point they must have been like, why
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: aren't we doing this? And I always wondered if maybe
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: because Kyle was on Beverly Hills and it was too much.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: But I guess you said they tried to do it before.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I heard. It was like they tried
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: to do it maybe like six years ago and it
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: didn't work out for whatever reason. So when it came
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: to me, the email came. Like I said, I was
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: working for Kevin as his assistant. I didn't think it
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: was the right time for me. So I just kind
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: of put my head down and just kept doing my thing.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: But I ended up getting a call from Jane, who's
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: Mauricio's assistant. And I used to be in the office
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: with her late at night. Just like we were the
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: last people there. It was pandemic. Nobody was in the office.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: And she says, hey, we're doing this show. I think
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: you'd be great. I'm like, okay.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Why were you scared?
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: I mean, I've never.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: No, but you were a performer though. So I would
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: think that would almost be perfect. Oh, okay.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I didn't have to talk. It was
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: just like, I'm just back here doing my thing. I
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: didn't have to come to the forefront and be on camera.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: I thought I would be okay, but I didn't think
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: it was necessarily my thing. So I had the one
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: call with the casting and here we are. It just
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: went so fast. I'm like, shit.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: And like, so, okay. So they get on it and
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: they're like, okay. And now I saw like some pumpkins
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: and stuff. So was, was what we're seeing filmed about
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: a year ago? Yeah. Oh, okay.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: That makes more sense.
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: So it all aligns.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Yeah. So it's been a whole year now.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: And yeah.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Like, how has your life changed? Have you gotten recognized
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: at all? It's only been a weekend.
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: It's only been a week, but I was in West
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Hollywood on Sunday, and the gays have seen the show.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Oh, the gays are loving it.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: The gays are loving it. I'm like, okay, we're good.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: We have a stamp of approval.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: So, I'm going to assume you are gay.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: No, I have a wife and kids.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: Yes, I am gay, proudly, yes.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: And when did you start living your life proudly and out? Always?
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: It's been 20 years now, yeah. Oh, okay. I was
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: just laying down the other day. I'm like, damn, it's
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: been 20 years.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: So as a teenager?
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: Yeah, 18.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: And your family was great about it?
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: I mean, they're fine about it now. It's always a
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: point of contention and education. I mean, everybody has their
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: own beliefs, but I know that they love me. Yeah.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: And I just kind of live my life and fuck it. Okay. Yeah.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: So what, okay, so I wrote Kyle, I DM'd Kyle,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: she's been on the show and we're friendly, and I
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: was like, okay, everyone, including myself, is freaking out because Alexia,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: the younger daughter, acts and sounds and speaks exactly like you.
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Way more than Farrah.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: How did that happen?
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: And I go, I'm just curious, because with my older son, people,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: one time, I posted it as that, a photo of
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: myself when I was 12 being a cheerleader and my
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: son was 12 at the time and I posted it
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: and my sorority sisters and friends were like, oh my God,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: I thought it was Drake, my older son, in drag.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: and so I think sometimes you don't see it as
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: the parent and especially having it be the opposite sex.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: I remember when my son's mustache started to come in
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: and then I would be like, oh shit! And I'm like, oh,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: it's not me. I thought I was like almost looking
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: at a mirror freaking out. It's very freaky when the
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: opposite sex looks just like you.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: But, I think Alexa even has like a, she says like,
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: be honest on this show. I'm like, oh my God,
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: you sound like your mom. She's like, she's not being
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: honest with me.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: I'm like, do you notice it? And she goes, yes, people,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: you know, she said, but for a long time everyone
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: said that the girls all look like my husband, acted
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: like my husband, so this has been kind of fun
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: that people see the similarities. I'm like, the scratchy voice,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: the hands, the whole, I mean, it.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: Makes it really fun. The mannerisms, all of it, yeah.
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: When I first met her, I'm like, oh my God,
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: you are your mother. This is weird, yeah.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: And, you know, a lot of people are like, why
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: aren't we seeing Kyle? And I don't know. And it's not,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: you know, I don't know if it's contractual or if
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: it was a conscious thing where she was like, let's
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: not have me pull focus from this show. But I
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: really like it. I don't think, you know, I do
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: kind of miss her.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: Yeah. She's cut it on Bravo. I think it's good
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: for the girls to get their chance to shine and
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: tell their stories.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: Yeah. We just came off a big season of Beverly Hills.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: I know you watched it. So, yeah, I think. I
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: think Kyle's probably relieved.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: And I think it was kind of a smart way
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: to do it, just so that there wouldn't be stuff
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: written about her and her involvement. And like, let's just
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: see if this can get its own footing. And I
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: think that was really great. But I mean, I'll be honest.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: When I first heard Buying Beverly, I'm like, another show.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: I know, I saw.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Another show. And then my friend who got to see
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: the previews. said, no, Heather, it's really good because we
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: get to see them in their homes. But what my friend,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: who is not a realtor, didn't say, and I said
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: this to Kyle, this is the most realistic real estate
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: show for many reasons. First of all, the dad and Alexia,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: and that they are more of a champion of Alexia
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: than Farrah. That is a sibling dynamic that's extremely interesting
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: because Farrah always had really good grades, went to USC,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: and has been doing this for like seven years. And
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: she's a different person than Alexia. And then Alexia... is like,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: I didn't always get the greatest grades. The younger ones,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: I guess, are really naturally kind of more scholastic. And
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: so when that happens as a parent of multiple kids,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: you do what each child needs. And it's not always
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: completely equal. And so I think that is so interesting
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: to see. And then I love that there's an honesty
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: about the privilege of people walking into real estate. Cause
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: I'll be honest, I didn't ever had to knock on doors.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: My parents were doing it.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: A little nepotism.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: My parents were doing it till I was seven, since
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: I was seven. And then the day I got my
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: license or right after my mom calls me and she goes, um,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: you got to go down to target right now, go
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: down to target right now. And I go, why? And
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: she's like, just go down to target and get me
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: this and come. And I go, all right. So I
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: go to target, I come down. And as I'm crossing Ventura,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: which is right here, they had gotten me my bus bench.
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: On the corner of the photo?
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Yeah, they got me the bus bench. That was like
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: my present.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: You arrived.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: That was my present. Heather MacDonald welcomes you to Woodland Hills.
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: Do you still have a picture of it or anything?
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: It's somewhere. Yes, definitely. And I was a little bit like, okay,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: but you guys know I'm just doing this until I
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: become a huge sitcom star. But yes, of course.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: They had established themselves, so we would just go out
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: on listing appointments, not get them all. But I don't
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: think people realize how hard it is just to get
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: someone to say, I even want to meet with you
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: to possibly represent me.
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: It's so hard. You're starting from ground zero. You have
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: to build all your clientele. Even though I've been here
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: for 10 years, I don't know anybody who can afford
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: the kind of houses that we sell. I've found ways
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: to meet people, but you definitely have to do it
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: all on your own. I wish it was being served
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: to me on a platter, but that's just not what
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: it is.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: And I appreciate it. kind of appreciate that, you know, like,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: obviously it works out with Alexia, but then the other guy,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: what's this other young guy?
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: Joey.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: Yeah, Joey. So for you guys, Joey is this charming guy,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: born and raised in Brentwood, Beverly Hills. Yes. And he's like,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: I hope I can get this listing of my aunt.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: Aunt's house in the flat is going to be sold
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: for $ 7 million. I'm like, what the fuck? Like, how?
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: Where's my aunt?
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: And then it's like, wow, this is so stressful because
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if this is going
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: to work. And I'm like, you have 27 offers. If
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: one fails, you have 26.
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: Like, of all the....
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Low, high risk. This was not a difficult situation. It's
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: a teardown. It's your aunt.
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: And you had 27 offers.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Serve it. It's ready to go. Yeah.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: I don't think it was a stressful situation, but I
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: love that the other guy that didn't come from a
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: real estate background, this one, the one in the flower jacket.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: Oh, Ben. Ben Ballack. Yeah.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: He kind of calls them out on it. And, um,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: so I, I love that there's all that. And then
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: we have you and you go and eat with the
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: younger guy who seems very nice.
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: And you're like, I did door knock, but if I
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: door knock, I have to be like in a suit
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: and all this other stuff because they're like, who's coming
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: to my door, you know? Um, And I thought, I
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: love that you brought that up too, because that is
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: so true.
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: It's a legit fear of mine. I've only done door
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: knocking once because of those reasons and everything happening in
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: the world. Like, I don't know how people are going
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: to perceive me. I have to be conscious of having
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: a woman with me just to balance out the equation
- 1:20:32Speaker 3: to make people less nervous. That's so legit fear of mine.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: People think you're Jehovah's Witnesses.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: It depends on how dressed up I am. Like, if
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: I'm dressed up, yes, that's why I make sure that
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: I may have maybe, like, a polo or something.
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: Yeah, to keep it casual. I think it's a lot
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: more inviting that way. Right. But, yeah.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: But I, you know, yeah, versus, like, you know, two
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: girls in, you know, high heels and tiny outfits. Yeah.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: That's one look. Then, you know, and I, but I
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: think it's great, and I think it's great that you
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: brought that up because that is hard, and it is
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: such a way to, to get business, especially when you're starting.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: Because there are people that are like, I, you know, yeah,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: I love the person that I see that comes by and, oh,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I know that Brandon. Now he's come by five times
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: in the last six months.
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: He's nice. He's charismatic. He knows his stuff. I want
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: to do business with him. That's what I want.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: So I think, but I like that that was like
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: made aware because I don't think, you know, when people
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: think about that aspect of you have this crutch ahead
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: of you versus someone that's not a man of color,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: you know? And so I thought that was really great.
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: I appreciate it. Got to keep it 100. If I'm
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: going to do this, I have to keep it authentic.
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: This is my story. This is what I deal with
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: every day.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Right. And it's not boo-hoo. It's just like.
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: It's the reality.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Yeah. I've, I, I got to find these clients probably
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: another way besides knocking on the door. I got to
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: like go to the parties, hold the open houses where
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: the people walk in.
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: Where they come to me.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: Yeah. And follow up. million times exactly rejected oh the
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: other thing that one guy said that was your former
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: that you were the assistant for and he goes I
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: have a five-minute funeral I've never heard.
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: That yeah we use that term a lot I think.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: That is really good where you get the rejection I
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: mean you gotta.
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: Let it go you gotta let it go you gotta
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: go on to the next thing otherwise it'll ruin your
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: day to ruin your week you just have to let
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: it die in five minutes and on to the next.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Okay so some of the stuff the juicy stuff that
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: happened was we already know in real life that Farrah
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: does get engaged.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: So that's nice.
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: To Alex. We love Alex.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: Oh, and then this girl, everyone's talking about this girl
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: in the orange.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: Allie.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: So she used to be on The Hills?
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: That's what I'm hearing. I've been seeing that on Twitter.
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: I'm like, Allie was on The Hills? I need to
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: call her and ask her. I haven't seen the episode.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought that was kind of funny because I'm like, well,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: you know, that does work out. Like, I mean, if
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: I was trying out for And I was in the
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: real estate office, and I'd be like, by the way, guys,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I know how to be on a reality show. Like,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: this is all good.
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: Allie's also been in the industry for years, too, so
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: she didn't just come out of nowhere. She's been coming
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: in for a while, too. She primarily works on the
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: West Side, though.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Have they already talked about a next season? Can you
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: say that?
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: Not yet. We haven't heard anything just yet. So hopefully
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: they help us back for more. I think the reception's
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: been pretty good, which we're very happy about. You never know.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: It was trending yesterday.
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we're number five right now in the U.S., which
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: is great. We've only been out since Friday, so that's awesome.
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: I hope it keeps coming up.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Okay. So now tell everybody where they can find you to,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: if they are looking for a home, like where, what
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: would you say you specialize in as far as like,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I know you're going to say everything, but like, is
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: there a more of a specific thing that you feel
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: like you really kill it?
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: I think the bulk of my clientele is first time
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: home buyers. I'm really good with walking them through the
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: process and it's not that hard and it's not that complex. Yeah.
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: I think I have a way of making it fun
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: and kind of like making it relatable and making it
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: a fun process. So I'm really good with first time
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: home buyers, but I specialize in a little bit of everything.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Yeah. That's great. I love that. And what's your Instagram

- 1:24:13Speaker 1: you really kind of would have to like farm this

- 1:24:18Speaker 1: you can do.
