- Lucas: Benvenuti to another episode of Learn Italian with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Hey Lucas, last time we went to the zoo, but today I want to get some exercise. Lucas: Nice. So today we're going to talk about outdoor activities at the park. Things you can do for fun or exercise. Luna: Ooh, perfect. Because I love going for walks. Lucas: And that's our first phrase. Fare una passeggiata. Fare una passeggiata — to take a walk. Luna: Fare una passeggiata. I like that. Fare una passeggiata. Lucas: Exactly. So if you want to say 'I take a walk in the park,' you say 'Faccio una passeggiata al parco.' Listen again: Faccio una passeggiata al parco. Luna: Faccio una passeggiata al parco. I can picture myself doing that. Lucas: Good. Now, what if you want to go for a run? That's 'la corsa.' La corsa. Luna: La corsa. So 'fare una corsa' would be to go for a run? Lucas: Exactly. Fare una corsa. You can say 'Vado a fare una corsa' — I'm going for a run. Luna: Vado a fare una corsa. I'm going for a run. Lucas: Right. Now, if you prefer biking, we have 'la bici' — short for bicicletta. And 'andare in bici' — to go by bike. Luna: Andare in bici. So 'Io vado in bici al parco' — I go to the park by bike. Lucas: Perfect. Andare in bici al parco. You got it. Luna: This is fun. What about playing soccer? That's popular in parks. Lucas: Absolutely. 'Giocare a calcio' — to play soccer. Giocare a calcio. Luna: Giocare a calcio. I love that. So 'Io gioco a calcio al parco' — I play soccer at the park. Lucas: Yes. And one more general phrase: 'fare sport' — to do sports. Fare sport. Luna: Fare sport. So I can say 'Mi piace fare sport al parco' — I like to do sports at the park. Lucas: Exactly. Now let's do a little scene. Imagine you meet a friend at the park. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Lucas: I'll be your friend. Ciao Luna! Cosa fai al parco? Luna: Ciao Lucas! Faccio una passeggiata. E tu? Lucas: Io vado in bici. Dopo, gioco a calcio. Luna: Che bello! Anch'io voglio fare sport. Lucas: Perfetto. Andiamo insieme! Luna: That was really natural. So we used 'fare una passeggiata', 'andare in bici', 'giocare a calcio', and 'fare sport'. Lucas: You caught all of them. Good job.
