[upbeat rock music] Welcome, welcome,
0:17
radio listeners. Hello, hello. It's Full Spectrum Cycling Show number fiddy. Nifty. Fiddy. Nifty fifty. Nifty fifty. We made it to fiddy. That's a pretty good thing. Pretty soon we'll be as old as Greg.
0:31
Everyone- Hey, hey, slow down there. Come on, everyone bend over. [laughs] It's time. [laughs] Dr. Jellyfinger. I did that slide. Yeah, by this time next year we'll have 100. [laughs] Well. See how that works. Oh my God.
0:46
That's amazing. Wow, that's like, that's like- It's like math. Yeah. Like, or yeah. What, did you believe there was not gonna be math today? Yeah. Man. Damn it. [exhales] Oh, boy. [exhales] Oh, got my back cracked there.
1:00
[exhales] Feels good. Nice. Yep. Wonder if that'll be on the recording. Probably not. [laughs] Yeah. In post production. [laughs] Yeah. Wait. So what's going on out there? Nice weather this last weekend. Cold.
1:12
That we, we, we rode our bikes on Saturday. Yeah, we did. It was kinda long before we found a bar. [laughs] That was kind of a bummer. Yeah.
1:21
I think any ride that's longer than six or seven miles, even five- Should have a bar stop... five is the threshold. Yeah. If you're not gonna stop every so often, then you should call it a training ride, not- Right...
1:30
not just a ride. And if it's- But [laughs]... if it's over five, at least if it's in the six, you know it's right there. It's close. Yeah. It's right there. Yeah. It's like, okay, this is nothing.
1:39
And I'm just gonna throw a shout-out to Sven for having us go to The Brick. Brick was good. Oh, yeah. Brick was a lot of fun.
1:47
I hadn't been there in years, and I, courtesy of pull tabs, got a couple of really cheap beers. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's a... I didn't know they did that on Saturdays. Yeah, that was, that was a good deal.
1:57
It's either- Full price... full price, half price, or a dollar. Is that what it, it was? Something like that. Something like that. So I had a half price and a dollar. Yeah, yeah.
2:03
I spent [laughs] $3.50 for two pints of something delicious. Hazy Rabbit. I was only there for one, full price. Yeah. [grunts] I got two bucks. Two $1. Yeah.
2:14
That's, that's- I was just drinking Pabst- That was my punishment... or Schlitz, actually. That was my punishment for having to pull the rip cord. There you go. Yep, yep. So.
2:21
But- Yeah, it was a, it was a beautiful day to ride bikes. Oh, yeah. For sure. That's for sure. Yeah, there was, there's some movement afoot to have that on a Steel Is Real stop. Hell, yeah. Possibly.
2:30
That, that would not be a bad thing. There's other ones up that way. That was kind of while we were sitting there looking at how far other spots were from that area. East of us. I'm like, wow, that's only two miles.
2:40
That's only three miles. And it's like, oh, they're all kinda close together. I don't wanna be, like, right on- Libby, Montana, that's if we wanna go all the way out... right, right.
2:47
Yeah, and that's only four miles from- A, uh, coworker told me about an absolutely fantastic bar in Port Washington that we need to check out next time we're up there. What's it called? Uh, I c- it- Sir James Pub? Yes.
2:57
Oh. You guys all know this. Yeah, it's got like 800 beers there. Oh, yeah. That's exactly what he told me. Yeah. Yeah, my buddy, uh, Robert "The Savage Mexican." [laughs] Man, I used to work with him at, uh, uh,
3:09
at Old New Rock in, way back in the day. Oh, yes. Yeah, that, that sounds- He lives up there. Yeah. Nice. Yeah, we could always go to Rascal's for cheap beers up there, too. Yeah. Yeah, I'm allowed there.
3:21
[laughs] Mike is not persona non grata at that particular establishment up there. Yet. [laughs] True. So it's, uh- [laughs]... I guess you can tell it's Sven, J.K., and Tony here- Hello, all... in studio today.
3:36
Uh, got the, uh, got the... These are... Look at those, uh- These beautiful coasters... coasters. Laser cut. My buddy's got a laser cutter for making coaster...
3:44
Well, he, I suppose you can cut anything you want with a laser. Yeah, you can. They're beautiful. It's kinda cool. This is a really cool... Yeah, I mean, that's, that's...
3:50
And it's very detailed and- Sled Werks is not a bike company, by the way. Maybe it should be. Well, it might be, but this one isn't. I feel bad about putting a beer on it, [laughs] you know? Yeah. [laughs] I don't.
4:02
Look, beer on it. [laughs] Well, it passed. Yeah. It was a moment. Yeah. So, I don't know. There's, uh, a lot of stuff going on. I, I'm gonna say this just to jinx us. Winter's over. Ha.
4:16
[laughs] 'Cause now we're gonna get hammered with snow. See what I did there? It's reverse psychology. No, no, the other day. What was it, yesterday? There was a half-hour of snow. The, the flurries? Yeah.
4:25
Yeah, it's- Well, it came down. Hey, I was on the eighth floor and I looked outside. Pfft. Huh. It was, it was pretty impressive. Oh. Didn't stick though, did it? Oh, hell no. Yeah. But- It was 42 degrees.
4:34
It's not gonna stick... yeah, it was, it was a 20 murn- 20 minute burn- Yeah... right on through. That's just a, that's like snow giving you the finger. Ah.
4:42
[exhales] I'm not saying there's not gonna be any more snow, but I am saying the usefulness of snow for fat biking down this far south in the state is probably over. Sadly. Sadly.
4:54
It wasn't a great year in Southern Wisconsin for fat biking. No, it was not. It was not. Kinda had to go two hours north or so at least to catch a good- Snow ride...
5:03
solid snow pack, which was good riding and- That'd be- Maybe you wanna drive two hours to ride your bike... a serious snow pack... but I don't want to [laughs] drive two hours to ride my bike all the time. No.
5:13
I wanna hop out my door and go. Right? So that's why the Urban Assault, uh, bikes are starting to make their way out of the- Fold... warehouse again, 'cause it's time to- Rip it and rip it...
5:24
start attacking Milwaukee again. Speaking of attacking Milwaukee. Decatur? [laughs] Not, not soon. Ah.
5:33
Although- Yeah, they announced a tour and they're not- Yeah, they're gonna be in Michigan in like- Somewhere in Illinois... a couple of months from now, but they haven't made a swing over this way yet. Um, Mr.
5:43
Zito's got his new company started with his buddy doing, uh, bike tours in Milwaukee on some kinda fixation. East Sides or something? Yeah, East Sides. Yeah, yeah. Fixation East Sides.
5:55
I don't think they're actually up and running yet, but they were building bikes. Oh. So they're gonna have 30 for rental or doing these tours that they're gonna be running-
6:04
I think out of the Boone and Crockett area down there. Mm-hmm. Are they all like... Are they identical, do you think? Well, size- Drop, drop bars, or are they straight bars? Or- No, I think they're straight bars...
6:12
yeah, they're- Pretty sure they're flat bar... yeah, flat bar... single speed. Yeah, yeah. Simple- Yeah, every-... simple bikes for simple people- Yeah... in a simple city- And easy maintenance... like Milwaukee.
6:20
Easy maintenance. Cheap chains. Everything about them can be. Right? It's not a bad idea. Probably raking the money during the DNC. Yeah, if the coronavirus doesn't kill everyone first.
6:30
Speaking of the coronavirus, it's now called COVID-19 or 19 or- 19... 20 or- Yeah... something.
6:35
It wasn't split with the Lyme disease and the- Just don't drink the, the- Because the Lymes and corona, you put the F in this...
6:41
one of the, one of the myths going around is that if you drink bleach, it will, you know, prevent you from getting coronavirus. Do not drink bleach- Of course, because you're dead... people. No. [laughs] Warning. Yeah.
6:50
Warning. This is one of those things where [laughs] Darwin's, you know, theory of evolution will take out the dumb people that do that.
6:57
The dumbest question I've seen- Yeah, don't use Tide PODS between your cheek and gum like- Yeah, the, the dumbest thing I've heard is-... old school bandits just in case... someone actually asked a call in,
7:04
"Can I get the coronavirus from a package shipped from China?" I don't know. Can you? Come on. May I? May I [laughs]? May I get [laughs]... No. [laughs] All right.
7:15
So, uh, one of the, one of the current, um, things that got affected by COVID-19 is, um, NABs has been postponed from the end of this month. Was gonna be the last weekend of March.
7:28
Is, it, now it's gonna be postponed till August. Wow. Yeah, a lot of conferences and such are being closed down for- Yeah... for that reason. For sure. Um, Sea Otter,
7:37
no announcement yet, but it's definitely on their radar, 'cause there's gonna be 70,000 people there. Yikes. Maybe they'll just hand out masks to everyone that do nothing. Or however many people show up. Yeah, 10.
7:49
Yeah, so, you know, if you're planning on going to something with a bunch of people at it, you might consider checking out whether it's actually happening or not. Yeah. Um- Or you could just go ride your bike.
7:58
Yeah, well, lots of stuff overseas is getting canceled. Bike races. Mm. Teams are getting out of specific races that are, you know, teams. Italy closed all the schools until mid-March or something. It's pretty- Yep...
8:09
which is, like, crazy. People from Milan cannot go to certain sporting events in stadiums. They're banned because- Wow... blah, blah, blah. They could all just ride their bikes. Maybe. Yeah.
8:19
I mean, you can't really get close enough to somebody on a bike to contract something from them if you're on your bike, I would imagine. Did you hear there's a guy riding around- That is not medical advice, folks...
8:28
it was a, yeah. It was a meme that a guy was riding with a poo- a pool noodle, you know, to give the three feet thing, and it said coro- "I have coronavirus" on it. [laughs] Oh, no.
8:37
[laughs] I was like, "Yeah, that could backfire on you, 'cause someone could just run your fucking ass over." Ooh, sorry, my language. Language, people, language. Like, "Oh, that guy's got coronavirus. Don't call him."
8:46
You, don't fucking say that anymore. Oh, I'm sorry. Sorry bout that. Sorry bout. Um, remem- we talked a couple shows ago about the whole Dirt Rag Empire- Yes... going bye-bye. No more Maurice. All right. Unfortunate.
9:02
[laughs] Uh, but the Dirt Rag Dirt Fest is living on as the Raytown Mountain Bike Fest. Oh. So there's a link in the show notes. I, it's in that same area in Pennsylvania where they did the Dirt Rag Dirt Fest.
9:17
So if that was a thing that you like to do, you can probably still do it, only under a different moniker or guise or whatever. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Um- Again, I'm thumbing through it as we speak... thumbing? Thumbing?
9:32
I'm thumbing. Scrolling. Thumbing. Now, Tony and I have both been riding this, uh, physio- PhysioSaddle- Mm-hmm... from Edge Cycling. Mm-hmm. I was gonna ask. I'm like, oh, is this... Yes.
9:44
Yeah, he, he's had it on, Tony's had it on longer than I have. Yeah. But I've got four or five rides on it now, and- I, it, it's-... I, I, it's starting to grow on me...
9:51
it's gets a little getting used to, but, uh, you know, if you, if you want a saddle that, quite frankly, even though it's not Velcro, still sticks to your ass, this saddle does it. Yep.
9:59
It will, your butt will not move when it's in it. I have noticed that I have to mount my bike just a little bit differently by kinda lifting my butt up and over the saddle to get it on there. Yes.
10:08
I threw my leg over tonight and caught my pants leg on the saddle and thought [laughs] "Oh, I'm going over." But I recovered.
10:13
Yeah, but I, I've been putzing with, like, the tilt of it just a little bit and the fore and aft adjustment, and it, it is pretty sensitive, that stuff. But I got it, I think I got it dialed in on the bike it's on.
10:23
It- Which was my most comfortable bike. So- There you go... it's got a lot to live up to and as far as how I have the bike set up. I, you know, I think I'm gonna really, really like it.
10:30
I'm gonna throw it on whatever I ride for the River Oaks 24 this year. I- Which I realize is still months away, but... I think if I put it on a, on a drop bar bike, I would be a little bit- Oh, like, yeah...
10:40
it would be a little better, because the bike I've got's more of a bike packing setup. It's like you're at a 45-degree angle. Yeah. Maybe you're not- More like, like a gravel bike...
10:47
right, you're not more leaned over, where on, you know, more of a road bike setup, your, your body's gonna be more leaned forward, and I think that- Yeah... would help it a lot. I, I do too. I say give it a try.
10:57
But, um, I'm gonna remove it after this week and try and get the, uh, get, get it de-slipified. Mm. Gonna have her covered? Yeah. Our buddy does, um, vinyl wrapping, and he thinks he can wrap this rascal, so.
11:12
[laughs] Nice. Wrap that rascal. [laughs] This can only end well. [laughs] Tune in next week. Yeah, we wrapped that rascal. Oh, my Lord. [laughs] This can only end funny. And rascal wrapping.
11:22
But, you know, it's a US company in Dayton, Ohio, or somewhere over that way. Yeah. Somewhere in Ohio. And, uh, I, I'm glad that people are doing stuff and making things in the United States 'Merica.
11:31
And it's reasonably priced. Right. But, you know. Yeah, it's like under 100 bucks for the steel rail version. Yeah. And 95 for the steel and 170 for the tie? No, like 119 or something. 119 for the tie? Yeah.
11:43
That's- We've got a link in the show notes. You can go check it out yourself. Yeah. I'm not gonna be your- It, it's-... secret shopper here for you... kind of a neat saddle. Yeah.
11:49
It's a totally new design on a saddle, and it's kinda cool. I- Do you remember the Half Moon Saddle from a long time ago? Hey, did that saddle. Hey, did that saddle.
11:57
So- Oh, is that the little, uh, the little mustache fringer? No, that was a different one. Oh. This one was a, it was like a, basically like a half a moon. Well, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sure.
12:06
And I always wanted to ride it with the moon crescent- The other way [laughs] With the points facing forward when you're supposed to turn it around the other way. Mm-hmm. I'm like, "I don't know. I- I can't get it.
12:14
Um, get that thing off my bike." Yeah. Uh, at least this saddle looks like a saddle. Yeah. Maybe a, a somewhat unconventional saddle, but it doesn't look completely out of place on a place to put your butt. Fair enough.
12:26
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. So give it a go. I'm sure they'd love you to try it out. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Give them some feedback too because- Yeah... they can only improve it.
12:34
[laughs] Yeah, like wrapping it in something that's slippery. [laughs] Yeah, he said that he thought they could change the formula- They're, they're working on it. Yeah...
12:39
of whatever the plastic material that's on it is, and make it a little less Velcro-like. Yeah. And it'll turn out like Christmas Vacation. [laughs] Like super, super lube. Whee!
12:54
[laughs] I was trying to f- put something on it. I didn't know if I could put some, like, chamois butter on it or something, or... It doesn't really help. I don't know. No. I don't think so.
13:02
I've tried it, [laughs] it doesn't work. No. You know, yeah, yeah. And I'm not putting on spandex just so I can try it out. Yeah, that was, that was one of those- Not gonna go there... "Well, it's great with spandex."
13:10
I'm like, "I'm not wearing spandex." [laughs] I don't even think I own any spandex anymore. I don't own any spandex. I'm never going to own any spandex.
13:16
I have short liners that are meant to be worn under shorts, but they say don't wear them without stuff over them 'cause they show your junk and junk. Yeah. So I'm like, "I ain't showing my junk."
13:25
Yeah, well, underwear ride, you can do it then. No one will care. Maybe. Yeah. Yeah, there's a couple interesting underwears on that ride. [laughs] Uh, there are people that... Yeah, there's- And- Yeah...
13:34
not unattractive young ladies, either... the Bull Rath, uh... The Bull Rath single sling thing, and stuff like that. But yes, there are some ladies that wear some very pro- provocative outfits. And [clicks tongue]
13:46
thank you, ladies. We'll keep you posted when those underwear rides are starting up again. Yeah, they should be coming up here pretty soon. I know JK's gonna appreciate this.
13:55
The Bill Murray, uh, Jeep E-fat bike is now available for preorder. Yeah, for how much? Uh, $5,899. $5,800? I think. I know. It's full suspension, though. But it's not orange.
14:06
I'm- It's- I'm about to reach over this table and smack you for that comment... but, uh, it's, it's cheaper than most full suspension, you know, bikes out there. So maybe. Yeah.
14:14
Unless you get the meet and greet with Bill. Oh, hey, that's worth about- That would-... a buck 92 right there. Yeah, it'd be... You know? Just saying. I mean, yeah, okay, yeah, price tag.
14:23
But- They should put that in the thing. Okay, you're listening- They should put that in the preorder. Yep. Copyright Michael Jackson. [laughs] It's $5,800 because Bill gets a grand of each one.
14:33
There you go, just to meet and greet. And Michael Jackson's the guy. [laughs] I think he has a note card to say that at the unveiling. Yeah, yeah. [laughs] Yeah, there's, uh, there...
14:46
You know, every week the electric bike industry just seems to just keep popping out crazy s-... Harley, I sent you that link today. I did not get a chance to look at it. Uh- I saw you sent it. Harley's- Do, do tell...
14:56
coming out with a whole new line of electric, mid-drive electric bikes. What was the... I- In the URL it said something about a logo. Do they have a new logo now too for it?
15:07
Um, I gonna fully admit I didn't read the article. Oh, boy. I just seemingly sent it to you. All right. There is the other cool- Tony's my-... tool which you should keep on your list...
15:14
Tony's my e-bike, uh- There's a, a... Yeah, I am your bike-... aficionado... nerd. Um, you should also look at the other link that we should put in the notes about the aluminum bike that's two pieces.
15:25
The frame is two pieces. So they assemble the batteries, and then put the frame together and tack weld it. They're aluminum, two-piece aluminum frame. Can you get the battery out again? No.
15:38
G- Well, it's tack welded, so I think you'd have to somehow break it. That's why I think we should make a... Well, I'm not gonna spoil my idea for a bike. All right, patent pending. Yeah, patent pending.
15:46
So s- Everybody knows... tune in next time. Yeah. Just to stay on, just to stay on a- [laughs]... on e-bike topic here. [laughs] Uh, we do have the Surface 604, the new version of their E-fat bike. Oh, nice.
15:58
Actually shipped, so- Nice... it will be d- in the review, uh, rotation- Soon... here at fat-bike.com. Damn. So keep an eye out for that. I'm sure Tony'll be one of the main reviewers of it.
16:13
I'm gonna ride the shit outta that thing. [laughs] [bell ringing] Don't wanna get too far into the show without- Top of the hill... getting to the top of the hill there, folks. Yeah. It's all downhill from here. Right?
16:25
Uh, today courtesy of, uh, Otto's [laughs] is a Revolution Brewing out of Chicago's Everyday Hero Session IPA. Session. I'm a big session IPA fan. It's delicious, man. It is good. It's a really good session IPA.
16:43
I like Revolution. I love everything Revolution makes, man. They're, they're good people. I was looking over their list. I was at least in their beer crew. They have a shit ton of hero beers.
16:49
They're all, they're all kinds of heroes. Anti-hero. Yep. Yep. The Anti-hero's at home in my fridge right now. Many heroes. They've got lots of heroes. This one is a- Heroes, not zeros...
16:59
a nice 4.3% ABV- Yeah, it's totally drinkable... for your session, usable, th- uh, usability. And low on the international b- is your girlfriend units. It's... With a s- a, a modest 35. That's nice.
17:12
Rates an 84 at Beer Advocate. That's just a sullen girlfriend. It is- Not completely [laughs] not completely bitter. [laughs] It, it is so good and so nice that I'm gonna go get another one. Jesus Christ.
17:23
While you're in there, make sure you open over the sink. These might have been a little bit happy when I opened them, so- Oh... just check that out. They're good, good, good.
17:28
Were you bouncing with them when you were driving? Bring three. Bring three. Bring three. They're small. The beer are so nice- All right, guys. Let's talk amongst yourselves... we must drink it twice.
17:34
Either that or they're, uh... Somebody shook them up in the, in the truck on the way here or something. Just to make sure. And, uh, there goes Tony to the beer refridge. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da. Right? Da,
17:47
da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da. Okay. So in other review stuff, we got some DZR shoes that came in. DZ. DZR, not Mike DZ. All right. But DZR. These are a high-top, uh, Sub 24-0 I believe is actually the name of the shoe.
18:02
So made for Sub 24 hour overnights maybe. Oh. You can't wear other shoes. You have to wear these. Apparently. So I, I just got the box. So I haven't even put them on my footsies yet.
18:15
And now- If indeed they fit my footsies. [laughs] They may go on Mike's footsies. I don't know. What size foot do you have? Nine and a half. Well.
18:25
I don't know, these are 43, which I think is about a nine, give or take, in your European sizing. Ah. I'm like a...
18:34
Oh, I can't remember what it is in women's, but I remember [laughs] I remember I had, I had to buy from L.L.Bean 'cause they had like cool snow sneakers. Yeah, as long as the color was right. Exactly.
18:46
I'm just like, "Whatever." Okay, I got the, I think it was like 12 and a half and, or whatever their like- Right... thing is. I'm like, "Okay, I'll shoehorn and like Geisha foot it [laughs] in there.
18:58
Get the train feet in there." Yep. What's he- [laughs] What [laughs]... What's he doing in there? Um, dealing with the, uh, blowback apparently of each of those. Are they, is it, are, are they old beers, Tony?
19:10
What's going on? They... Are they being jubilant? I suppose we'll be having half beers. [laughs] Half beer, half beers it is. Don't shake 'em up before you open 'em.
19:20
Uh, the other new thing in the review rotation which I'm super excited about is the new version of the Old Man Mountain rack.
19:28
Now that, uh, Robert Axel Project bought the company, they've made a bunch of changes, and I've been using Old Man Mountain for heckin' a many years. Seven, eight years, I don't know.
19:40
And, um, I still have one on my Chumba Titanium fat bike, which I will be replacing with the new model, and I, I'm excited about it because the way that this thing mounted before put it pretty far forward, and if you have a foot much bigger than my size eight and a half, I think you'd have some clearance problems.
19:59
And the new mounting system pushes it a good five inches back, four or five inches. I'll have all that information when we do the review, but now all I do is have a box of parts, gotta put it on the bike.
20:10
Is this a back or a rear? I don't know what- Yeah, it's a front rack and a back rack. Oh. It's gonna replace the one that's on there as well as put one on the fork. Nice. So yeah. Yeah, they're... It's a cool setup.
20:19
I think they did a lot of- They're youngins... good engineerings and whatnot, and, uh, we'll make sure that we got lots of pictures so you can see all about it.
20:28
[microphone rustles] Coming up down the road we'll have a first look at it real soon, and then a longer term look at it later on- We're coming up after the road... after we look at it long term.
20:36
We come after you long time. Speaking of that dang old Chumba fat bike, Chumba USA Ursa Major titanium fat bike,
20:44
instead of putting the ad in the, uh, show notes like I have been, I'm gonna say if you hear this, uh, p- broadcast, this radio program, and mention it, show number fitty, you can get one of these frames for $1,690. Oh.
21:01
We got five left. I got two smalls, one medium, and two extra larges. Uh, when I decide it's no longer that price, that's just what it is, but if you, if you act s- act fast- Act now...
21:10
1,690 bucks, get one of these things. Keep the shop open for another month please. It's windy. Please, people. That's, that's a s- We gotta keep the doors open [laughs] That's a steep- My God, this place is expensive.
21:22
[laughs] Um, what else is on the li- Tell us about your one-on-one thing. What's, uh... He's- JK's got one-on-one on the list for some reason. Oh, it- Bike Studio- Yeah... in Minneapolis.
21:33
It came up on, uh, MapMyRun, one of those Strava, uh, you know, bike tracking- Did I like lick my sack? I don't... Yeah. [laughs] You know, just,
21:46
uh, those like hyper-sensitive "Okay, this is how far I'm biking," but you have to start it. It's not passive in the background. Oh, right on. But by doing that you're on a mailing list.
21:59
And then they just popped in the thing, the 10 best bike shops in the world. And you know, it, whatever, clickbait, and I'm like, "Sure." One On One was there. And One On One- Heckin' A... you know, they got...
22:10
You had Germany, Tokyo, Italy, and then all of a sudden- New York, London, Paris... Minneapolis. Munich. Well, good on you, Gino. I was like, "Right on, right on." Boulder, Vecchios, Biciclette.
22:24
[snores] That's where you... Boulder. And then Dubai. [laughs] Well- It'd be inter- it'd be-... Dubai, they got cash in Dubai. Well, yeah. It'd be interesting to bike in Dubai.
22:34
Don't think they have coronavirus there either. I, it'd be hot as fuck, but it'd be fun to ride. It'd be interesting. I agree. I think it'd be interesting. That's, yeah. I think it'd be fun.
22:39
Look at that dang old sand over there. E-bike. E-sand bike. E-sand bike. Belt drive. [laughs] E-sand, E-sand bike. Mm. Eh. That sounds delicious. All right. So, well, that's not, that's not a half a can.
22:50
That's- No, I just scared folks. It all settled back. So how come they, they just blow out of there like that? I think somebody- They're over-carbonated...
22:56
somebody sh- I think somebody shook the hell out of them before they, before they put it in the case for you or something. Well, maybe. I, I got 'em this morning so they've been- Ooh, they should've calmed by then...
23:05
been around for a while... they haven't overly...
23:07
Maybe we should, uh, hey, Revolution Brewing, if you're listening to this, you know, we're, we're not happy that we wasted an ounce of each beer, so send us more for free. Send beer. We love you. You can do that.
23:17
We love you. We do really love your beer. I'm not- We've actually had real beer sponsors on the show before. You wouldn't be the first. I have, uh, been talking to a gentleman who is a- I have a patch.
23:26
I have to find a place for the patch... I've been talking to a gentleman who is a salesperson for Lakefront Brewery and invited him to come and talk. 10-4. I said, "Hey, you should come.
23:35
We mainly talk about bikes, but beer is always on the list too." Beer is on the list. And he's a good guy. And- Good, good solid- And the man's name is Kyle... four or five minutes per show. Yeah.
23:45
Where'd you get your Revolution patch? [tongue click] Uh, Nomad. Oh. They were doing an event. Oh, copy. Is it the fist? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. It- I've seen it... where is it? It's on here. Yeah.
23:57
Is that what the patch looks like? Yeah. That thing? Exactly. Yep. No, no, no. The, uh- Oh, that thing... if, if you look at the- Copy... the black within the red. Right on, with the hop in the hand. Mm-hmm. Excellent.
24:09
Yeah. I'm gonna burp- Not bad, not bad... pretty soon. [laughs] You guys talk. It's coming. Let's get it out. Waiting for it, wait for it. There we go. There it is. Okay, good deal. He's all done. Good job.
24:17
Hey, what the, what the heck's going on with Trailer Park Boys game? Oh, they're shifting the timings. Ugh. Just when I was kind of into the timing of the other one, now there's new timings.
24:26
Mm-hmm, and that's why you gotta keep three of those dumbass games at the same time. Oh, boy. [clicks tongue] That just takes up more- You gotta keep more- Yeah... more bathroom time. [laughs] Yeah. Yeah.
24:34
You, you gotta deal with the bud farm, you gotta deal with the trailer park, and then you have to deal with the FUBAR. Oh, you're FUBARing? Yeah. I gave that a- Yeah, those three... I gave that a short go.
24:41
Did you just say butt farm? Bud farm. Bud. Oh. Bud. Growing your marijuana weed. Oh. Virtual- Marijuana... your virtual farm. Huh. It makes sense.
24:53
I think, uh- Well, I mean, it's a non-combative stare at your phone thing, you know? It does- It's like, I'm not Clash of Clans. Like- Oh, I'm so angry. Oh, ooh, I'm playing Call of Duty. Oh, I wanna kill, kill, kill.
25:03
No. I either wanna be in my trailer park [laughs] or my bud farm- [laughs]... or I'm gonna be playing hockey and, uh, yeah. A lot of Canadian influence here. Hell yeah. Why don't we just move up there, eh? Sounds good.
25:16
Eventually. I thought I was gonna be up there a lot earlier than that.
25:19
Well, I definitely use it, like, if I'm on the computer for too long doing whatever, writing or something, and I'm like, "I, my brain's going bad," I just take that thing out and it's like- Mm-hmm...
25:28
mind, mind-numbingly- Yeah, exactly... mind-numbing. [laughs] Mind-numbingly- Yeah... mind-numbing. Yeah. Just a few minutes to take your mind off your- I got those three-...
25:37
your everyday life and tasks and- Got those three and, uh, one crossword puzzle app that's not that terribly difficult, but- Yeah... keeps the mind limber. Limber.
25:48
[clicks tongue] You gotta feed- You gotta feed this beast. You have to keep this- Brain moist. [laughs] Dig that. Uh, ITI started last weekend,
26:00
March 1st, so those people are still out on the trail for another eight days or so. [laughs] Oh, geez. Yikes. If you're doing, if they're doing the thousand mile.
26:09
There's a link to the trackleaders.com on the show notes if you wanna follow your favorite ITI racer. Yikes. Like to get a report from up there. Yeah, that'd be cool. Yeah. So probably cold, I imagine.
26:25
[laughs] But maybe not. I don't know. It's been freaking warm in Alaska in the past couple years. Yeah, it has. Mm-hmm. Uh, Fatbike Birke's this, uh, the pre-ride's today, Friday. Friday. [laughs] Ah.
26:38
And the r- and the race would be tomorrow, Saturday. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Uh, the r- reports I've got from up there at this point are it's in immaculate, fantastic condition. Nice. So, hope that lasts.
26:50
It's gonna be freaking close to 60 down here in Milwaukee this weekend, so. Yeah.
26:55
But I don't think it'll be like that up there, and plus they do it early enough in the day where it should still be below z- below freezing and be bitching. Yeah. Hopefully. That would be good.
27:07
There's some other stuff coming up on the, uh, calendar here. I don't know, a bunch of stuff. Take a look. It's on the show notes there, so. Fun stuff. You know. Fun stuff. Got that going for you.
27:18
Now, if you're in your, if you're in the Milwaukee area, you could, uh, come by Everyday Cycles and see Sven. Yeah, say hi. Probably gonna change store hours pretty soon, get- How you doing...
27:26
soon as the, uh- Gear up for spring... well, this spring is, uh, the spring. This weekend is, uh, spring- Forward... fall, spring forward, so we get more hours of lights. That's right.
27:36
Well, we get the same amount of hours, but we get them- Yes... later in the day. Yeah, because of that silly-ass daylight savings stuff. Yep.
27:44
Well, at least it'll be dark when you go to work in the morning, so you got that going for you. Thanks. Not me. Thanks, Obama. [laughs] Or Ben Franklin, or Palmer- One of those guys... Almack or nah, one of those guys.
27:55
Somebody. I need a scapegoat. Dig that, man. [laughs] Dig that. Did they really- I don't know. What else? Anything else from the sh- any, any other shop news? I think we're pretty caught up on shop news.
28:05
Yeah, the e-bike's still waiting for parts. Uh, they're on their way. I got a- Mm-hmm... shipment confirmation. Nice.
28:10
Also, some very forward-thinking people have brought their bikes in already for tune-ups and, uh- Yeah... cleanups and getting them ready- That's smart...
28:17
for when it's warm out so they don't have to wait, 'cause- [laughs] Smart... by cracky, it's gonna get busy and you're gonna have to wait. Yeah. That's just the way it goes. Yeah, that's the way it goes.
28:26
Anyway, probably be here next week, I imagine. Like the rules of the road. Yeah. We wasted another half hour. Thanks for listening. Come again. Come again.
28:36
[outro music] Bye We are sorry, but the show has ended.
29:11
Goodbye
