- 0:00No. I don't prove because we're just
- 0:02talking about things that allegedly are possibly true as
- 0:05long as they're allegedly possibly just what I've heard
- 0:08from somebody else. Welcome everyone to gasp, the
- 0:24pod, the podcast with the girls, the gays and especially the gay
- 0:27girls. Today I'm with my lovely best
- 0:31friend, fellow gay and Internet troll.
- 0:38Confirmed. Maddie Kane and we took the
- 0:42podcast on the road. Or rather, I took the podcast on
- 0:45the road. We are in Los Angeles.
- 0:47We are Los Angeles. We are Los Angeles and I flew in
- 0:50today. I took a shower and we're
- 0:52recording this because everyone needs to know that Tom Cruise is
- 0:55probably gay. Probably allegedly gay.
- 0:59Did you also cut your bangs because Trump got elected?
- 1:02I actually cut my name things in the anxiety attack leading up to
- 1:06Trump's election. So real me too, but we
- 1:09foreshadowed it. We did.
- 1:10We were young. We'll cheers to the demise of
- 1:14this country. Cheers.
- 1:15Cheers. Hey guys, we're talking about
- 1:18because also I wanted a very fruitful episode.
- 1:21Yeah, we need something like something fun, something for the
- 1:23girls, right? I was like talking about
- 1:25politics and yeah, which is which is serious stuff.
- 1:29Yeah, that's no joke for. Real.
- 1:31No joke. So let's talk about something
- 1:34that if you bring it up to normal people, they're like, how
- 1:36dare you say that? We're gonna talk about the
- 1:39secret gay kings of Hollywood, and most notably, Tom Cruise and
- 1:47Leonardo DiCaprio, and tell us your expertise on the subjects,
- 1:52Maddie. So basically I have been going
- 1:54online and calling men gay on there for the past 15 years.
- 2:01As a as a person who figured out they were gay during my teenage
- 2:05years, I was definitely like seeking that in not only my
- 2:10community and my peers, but also definitely unlike the people
- 2:14that I felt like were representing me in media and in
- 2:18music. So I would really attach myself
- 2:21to celebrities that I believed were gay.
- 2:24So true. And you guys, we all do.
- 2:26You had the original trained eye.
- 2:28Yeah, I, I was, I was really, I was refined and I was reformed.
- 2:34And I will say a lot of the people that I used to call gay
- 2:37online and people would be like, don't call other people gay if
- 2:40you don't know their story, have since come out as gay or by my
- 2:43child. So what now?
- 2:45I mean, we can have a whole thing on this, but maybe like,
- 2:48we haven't talked about shotgun deaths at all.
- 2:50Yeah. And I think, I think that that
- 2:51is something that is so relevant.
- 2:55Of course now where he kind of is like has has admitted that he
- 2:58is searching in his sexuality, which I think is totally normal
- 3:03and completely fine. And I, I do, I do wish people
- 3:07would like harass him directly about it less, of course.
- 3:11But I think I, I mean, I don't think it's one of the people
- 3:14who've noticed that he behaves like I behave.
- 3:18He likes the things that I like. What he says resonates with me.
- 3:21And if I'm gay, then he's probably gay too.
- 3:24I think that that totally makes sense.
- 3:25And I think that's probably part of the reason he's questioning
- 3:27it himself. Right.
- 3:28I mean, when I see you, Shawn Mendez, I say.
- 3:30Same first twin twin, but I mean not me and Shawn Mendez, but
- 3:35there are people that are very much like Shawn Mendez that are
- 3:38gay. It's.
- 3:39Very different to notice someone that is gay if you're gay than
- 3:43if you're a homophobe being like oh you look like a twink at.
- 3:47Slur Yeah. And I also think there's this,
- 3:51There's this. I hope this person is gay
- 3:53because I want to feel more connected to them.
- 3:55Whereas like you said, like homophobic, like, oh, I hope
- 3:59this person isn't because I will like them less, right?
- 4:02There's such a different tone to that.
- 4:04OK, so let's get into it because we became friends living in LA
- 4:08together. And can I just say hint at you
- 4:12just being like, yeah, yeah, in the entertainment world.
- 4:15And the tea that you gave me is pretty amazing.
- 4:18A lot of this we've like touched on.
- 4:20But even before I made a podcast, we were like, we need
- 4:23to talk about this at. And the people need to know.
- 4:25People need. To know.
- 4:26So some of these points, I've never heard anyone talk about
- 4:29this before. Oh, really?
- 4:29OK, No, truly OK. I'm so upset.
- 4:32About. Because I've only read some of
- 4:33this stuff and I was GAT. OK.
- 4:36OK, so let's talk about Tom Cruise dressed I Oh my God.
- 4:42Yeah. So if you don't gasp at anything
- 4:45we say today, please let me know and I'll I'll do better.
- 4:49I'll what the I'll do better next time.
- 4:51No, this is gonna be like hopefully the most gas worthy
- 4:54because I feel OK. I really think people know these
- 4:56things. I don't think I've heard anyone
- 4:58sit. When I talked I just hinted
- 5:00about like Leo being maybe gay people were like.
- 5:04What didn't really, guys? Remember like.
- 5:08Men older than 40 in Hollywood can be gay.
- 5:11I also just remembered an element of that that I didn't
- 5:13put on the outline that I think you're you're all gonna love.
- 5:17OK, so let's talk about Tom Cruise first, but also just talk
- 5:20about in general how Hollywood is just, like, full of drama
- 5:23gaze. Yeah.
- 5:24So I think I think that that's a really important element to
- 5:27this, too. And I know you and I have
- 5:28discussed this a lot, but they're actors typically come
- 5:35from theater and theater you typically do in high school.
- 5:39And I, at least in America, you typically if you are kind of
- 5:41like a theatre kid, you do theatre in middle school and
- 5:44high school and you kind of like become part of the theatre
- 5:47community. And very frequently those people
- 5:49are stereotyped as gay. Absolutely.
- 5:51But also very frequently that is where you can find a lot of gay
- 5:54people at your school. And so I don't know why it's so
- 5:58surprising to people that a lot of actors and a lot of musicians
- 6:01and a lot of entertainers in general are gay or are very
- 6:06flexible because that that kind of.
- 6:08Unity definitely allows you the space to feel like you can try
- 6:13out weird things. Absolutely.
- 6:15I mean, think about you, one that had like became an actor.
- 6:19Anyone that's famous now didn't just suddenly do an audition
- 6:23when they were 35 and become famous, right?
- 6:25They've been wanting this. They've been actors in mostly
- 6:28like local theater groups. Like high school.
- 6:31Anyone in local theater? Yeah, you're like 70% of them
- 6:35are gay. Yeah.
- 6:36So it's like, yeah, they're hot. Now, but it's not 'cause someone
- 6:40walked by, walked by Tom Cruise on the street in the 80s and
- 6:44said actor and then all of a sudden he just came in actor,
- 6:46like he had to grow up in theater.
- 6:47So it's like these people were growing up in the gay scene and
- 6:51just 'cause they're like attractive doesn't mean they're
- 6:54not exposed to the queerness of the entire industry.
- 6:58You know, like Zac Efron and Troy Bolton.
- 7:03In high school, musical was bullied.
- 7:05Yeah. And it's like going to be like,
- 7:08that was so true. And it's actually those those
- 7:10two things you just said are the perfect segue I've got into
- 7:13discussing Tom. I have a thing sent to you.
- 7:16Me and Tom, me and TC. So I've.
- 7:22I've sent to you a couple of pictures of Tom Cruise in his
- 7:26high school productions. Tom Cruise actually, literally
- 7:29basically, it's possible that he is the source of the concept of
- 7:34High School Musical. Really.
- 7:37Yeah. He had a a high school sports
- 7:39injury, which is not necessarily the truth of Troy Bolton, but he
- 7:43was like a very good athlete and he got an injury.
- 7:46So instead of doing nothing, he joined the theater production.
- 7:50He actually, yeah. And he auditioned with the song
- 7:54I Don't Know How to Love Him by Jesus Christ from Jesus Christ
- 7:57Superstar. I don't know how familiar you
- 7:59are with Jesus Christ Superstar, but this song is literally sung
- 8:03by Mary Magdalene about being in love with Jesus Christ and
- 8:08you're gonna love us. Tom Cruise also grew up in a in
- 8:11a difficult home and was Catholic.
- 8:13He was raised Catholic. There you go.
- 8:16So you can understand why that is like a a completely insane
- 8:20thing for maybe like a 1617 year old boy to do is like roll up to
- 8:24the audition and sing. I don't know how to love him
- 8:26Jesus Christ Superstar. And he ate and he was cast as
- 8:30Nathan in I think what is that musical called?
- 8:34Who Cares Anyway? He was cast as a lead.
- 8:36And ever since then he like continued to act.
- 8:38He continued to be in his local theatre productions and
- 8:40honestly, shortly thereafter he started making movies in
- 8:42Hollywood. So that is all I had.
- 8:44To do was. Just, like, put himself out
- 8:46there and, like, break a gender state, Right.
- 8:49And. Yeah.
- 8:50And I think that singing I don't know how to love him is like, a
- 8:52really brave way to break a gender stereotype.
- 8:55So a young man And like, what? This was the how to be late 70s
- 8:59Catholic. Yeah.
- 9:00It must have been late 70s. Yeah.
- 9:03To like, sing that. Is really absurd.
- 9:05It's wild, yeah. He's in local.
- 9:08Yeah, which like singing a song as a man, I don't know how to
- 9:11love him. Like of course singing would be
- 9:13nothing I guess. Singing at all as a man was like
- 9:16your guy, yeah. You know, so that's his.
- 9:18Origin Do you think I look like George Washington?
- 9:26I wanna say no. But it's like you do look like a
- 9:29little bit like you're wearing like a sexy George Washington
- 9:31homie costume. And I am obsessed with is in the
- 9:34outline of this podcast you wrote Mama sues everyone who
- 9:38calls him gay. Yeah.
- 9:39So which by the way. Is not illegal.
- 9:47Right, right. He for a while there was like a
- 9:50lot of of publications that had been like speculating on him and
- 9:55things like that. And during those times he like
- 9:59this was like really like early 2000s, especially like late 90s,
- 10:02early 2000s. This is and this is like also
- 10:05very like markedly a tumultuous point in his life.
- 10:08This is like the Oprah couch video time period and things
- 10:11like that, like that. They were very much trying to,
- 10:13like, crush this narrative during that time he was.
- 10:15Very. I didn't know it was that much
- 10:17of a narrative. Yes, I think we were a little
- 10:19too young to realize how much people were calling Tom Cruise
- 10:21gay online and in the media, but it was happening a lot during
- 10:27that period, which we'll get into.
- 10:28But he was like suing people left and right for a while, like
- 10:32and like and winning. He was like for.
- 10:34What defamation it? Would just be like, yeah, it
- 10:37would be like, this is like, you can't prove this, it's true, so
- 10:39you can't say it. Whatever that is.
- 10:41OK, so like false narrative or? Something and so and he and and
- 10:45and are we gonna get sued by Tom Cruise?
- 10:48Because we're just talking about things that allegedly are
- 10:51possibly true as long as they're allegedly possibly.
- 10:54Just what I've heard from somebody else.
- 10:56I think since gay marriage has become legalized it's more
- 11:00difficult to get away with. Like calling someone gay as
- 11:03actual defamation. Right.
- 11:04So you're telling me that if gay marriage gets overturned, Tom
- 11:09Cruise may sue us? I don't know if I we could
- 11:12continue to do what? That would be pretty awesome if
- 11:15we found out. I mean, that would be iconic if
- 11:16we were served papers. Yeah.
- 11:19I'd be like, do you wanna call and talk about it?
- 11:21So he was. He was cheating people for a
- 11:23while. There's also this delightful
- 11:26video from this era. I don't know if you're familiar
- 11:28with the movie Minority Report. Yes.
- 11:30Yes. OK.
- 11:31Great movie. Yeah.
- 11:32And him and Colin Farrell have this like, really kind of, you
- 11:37know, gay chemistry in it. Isn't there a scene where like
- 11:40one of them has the other one up?
- 11:41Like against a wall? Always, I feel like two men in
- 11:44movies are always kind of like, like almost pissing.
- 11:48They're like so mad at each other.
- 11:50They're like pissing. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:52That's so the energy they have here.
- 11:54So during this time, also remember this is a time when the
- 11:57media was like genuinely being evil to celebrities, right?
- 12:00So. This interviewer asked Colin
- 12:03Farrell and is like, oh, like you've been working with Tom
- 12:06Cruise. Is he gay?
- 12:08And Colin goes, oh, yeah, I, I know Tom and I can confirm that
- 12:14he is, I'm like, I almost like gay.
- 12:20He's, he's straight. I, I know a lot of gay people
- 12:22and I know Tom. And Tom is straight and he is
- 12:25not gay and he is straight And he, I'll show you the question.
- 12:28You have to see the video. I literally, I watch it.
- 12:30It brings you to tears. It's hilarious.
- 12:32People, people do not gasp, but this, this is like, worse than
- 12:35like the Jack Antonoff Taylor Swift recording where the guy's
- 12:38like, oh, do you like working with like, oh, I work with a lot
- 12:41of gays. A lot of gays.
- 12:43Yeah. Oh, I mean, no, Taylor Swift
- 12:44isn't gay, right? Oh, my God.
- 12:47Very much. I feel like you're unearthing
- 12:49this for people in our generation who are not hip too.
- 12:52Yeah. And I feel like there are like,
- 12:54I know a small cohort. Yes, you know, I know it's a
- 12:59small cohort of online lesbians that are very about Tom Kurdish.
- 13:04Wow galore. But I do think this is not as
- 13:07much of a common narrative as it used.
- 13:08To be right cuz he shut it down. Cuz he shut it down.
- 13:13But yes, to answer your question, is Tom Cruise by King.
- 13:17I would say allegedly that my belief based on my own opinion
- 13:21and nothing else is yes, I I and I 'cause I would also not.
- 13:25You convinced me so easily that he was done.
- 13:28And like there are done. There's still so many points
- 13:30left. I would say obviously, like
- 13:32there's a lot of support to his his queer narrative.
- 13:36But I also think that the love he had for Nicole Kidman is the
- 13:39real estate thing I've ever seen in my life.
- 13:41But how do you how do you make I mean, and I guess like that
- 13:45iconic picture of her leaving the courthouse and she's like so
- 13:50happy to be 3 of Tom Cruise do. You think it's because of like
- 13:53the Scientology of it all? Yes.
- 13:55So their divorce was very, very difficult.
- 14:00There are multiple sources who discussed that.
- 14:03Like it was Tom who filed against Nicole.
- 14:07She like begged him to stay with her, that she was very against
- 14:12his moving deeper into Scientology And so basically had
- 14:17to choose between the church and her.
- 14:18And unfortunately, due to I'm sure really scary circumstances,
- 14:22I mean, it's had he felt like he had to choose church.
- 14:26And she was, of course, devastated by this.
- 14:29Their divorce had like, carried out and it was like, very, very
- 14:32difficult and like, long and arduous.
- 14:35And so those courtroom pictures are like when they'd finally
- 14:37send the papers and they didn't have to do anything else.
- 14:39And the paparazzi took those pictures.
- 14:41And then afterwards, this is like what people don't know.
- 14:44And this is really sad. Actually.
- 14:45She when she gets in her car, she like sat in the parking lot
- 14:48and cried for like an hour. But that's like that is like fun
- 14:51to most. Of that's so sad.
- 14:54Yeah, and and so I think their relationship is very difficult,
- 14:57but actually they still have a a good relationship nowadays.
- 15:01Yeah. He was at her most recent
- 15:03birthday party. That is so cute.
- 15:05They and they have children together.
- 15:07And so they both still have a good relationship with their
- 15:10children. Yes.
- 15:12Who? Who are their?
- 15:13Kids. OK, so they have two children, a
- 15:16son and a daughter. You might be like, I've never
- 15:19seen Nicole Kidman pregnant. They're adopted, so those who
- 15:23adopted their children, but TomTom very frequently is seen
- 15:28like hanging out with their son and they like they have a lot of
- 15:32the same interests. There's a great interview.
- 15:34Sorry, my Tom Cruise knowledge is just.
- 15:36Like, no, that's a. Great, There's a great interview
- 15:37with Nicole Kidman where she is talking about the kids.
- 15:41This is probably 10 years ago. So they're like young teenagers
- 15:43at this time or like mid teenagers.
- 15:45And she's like, Oh my God, they're like such adrenaline
- 15:48junkies. Like they're always want to like
- 15:49be doing something and they're very active.
- 15:51And she goes, I mean, just look at their dad.
- 15:52And that was like after they were divorced.
- 15:55They're still very like Tom always calls her Nikki.
- 15:57Like even still in interviews, they're they're still like such
- 16:00a an effective, right. And it also makes me feel like
- 16:04their relationship is very real to them in a way that like, I
- 16:07don't know if you've noticed this.
- 16:08I don't think Tom Cruise has said the words Katie Holmes in
- 16:1115 years. Right before you started talking
- 16:14to me about this, I was very much a victim of what the media
- 16:21was telling me. Being like Tom Cruise is this
- 16:24evil Scientologist and he's trying to get everyone else like
- 16:27he is as responsible as Scientology is for all this
- 16:31shit. And like, and I don't know,
- 16:33maybe that's complicated, but like, I don't know.
- 16:36I think that's what kind of like people our generation think of
- 16:38Tom Cruise as like, oh, he's this evil Scientologist.
- 16:41And I like think I totally forgot about the possibility
- 16:44that he could have also been pressured and be a victim of
- 16:47Scientology as well. He.
- 16:49He. Joined, I want to say in the
- 16:50late, late 80s, OK. And I'm trying to remember I
- 16:55think. Like have you seen the firm?
- 16:58No, actually I know and I have to.
- 17:01My God, I try to save little treats for myself that I.
- 17:05Can that's so fair reach later. First of all, I feel like Tom
- 17:08Cruise in the firm is is first of such a good movie, but also
- 17:12they kind of make him out to be a good guy.
- 17:14But he like cheated, which is annoying.
- 17:15But he gives very much Timothy Chalamet in his, like, early
- 17:18days where he's very, like, suave and charismatic and like
- 17:22with this brown hair that's giving very much bisexual.
- 17:26And listen, if you can't read that someone is gay beyond just
- 17:30like the stereotypes of like, being like effeminate and like
- 17:32maybe being like a twink, then like, you're never gonna notice
- 17:36that Hugh Jackman is gay. Like OK, there's other ways to
- 17:40be seen as queer besides just like the classic stereotypes and
- 17:44like he just gives so. Timothy Chalamet gay brought
- 17:48bisexual to me. Yeah.
- 17:49It's almost like the fact that he is so charismatic to both men
- 17:53and women. Yes.
- 17:54Evokes that exactly. Yeah.
- 17:59Yeah, OK, so Scientology. Whoa, alleged Chicago boyfriend
- 18:04who was a pilot. Let's talk about.
- 18:06That so after so he, he, he was in Scientology.
- 18:09He's been in Scientology most of his life and most of his career
- 18:12he had, he kind of like fell off of recruiting.
- 18:16He's not ever really been someone who has been heavy on
- 18:19recruiting in the in the at least the new Millennium.
- 18:22So the recruiting other Scientologists.
- 18:24Yeah, recruiting other people in Scientology are like talking
- 18:26about it in interviews and stuff.
- 18:27And you'll notice now most people, most especially
- 18:30celebrities who are Scientologists, do not want to
- 18:32talk about it in interviews because it's bad.
- 18:33People like, yeah, press like, not good press.
- 18:35And it is like, I mean, from my perspective, in my opinion,
- 18:39allegedly a cult. And.
- 18:42And I think it's hard to kind of even for somebody that like,
- 18:45obviously to us is like as like big and famous and like seems as
- 18:49powerful as Tom Cruise. Like when he came in, like he
- 18:53was very young and very impressionable and new, new to
- 18:56the world and new to the industry.
- 18:58And like I said, he'd had a very difficult childhood.
- 19:00And we know that like Scientology kind of like keeps
- 19:02keeps the notes on. They try to get people who are
- 19:05like more vulnerable, the. Best thing that you've ever done
- 19:07and every bad thing that's ever happened to you.
- 19:09And of course, and then they threaten if.
- 19:11If you leave that, they'll release all that information,
- 19:13Right? So he's like, being gay, or at
- 19:16least being, yeah, gay at any, like, gay.
- 19:19An umbrella term in the 90s would ruin his career.
- 19:23I mean, look at what it did to Ellen DeGeneres.
- 19:25Not that I'm trying to defend Ellen DeGeneres.
- 19:27No, But it. Yeah.
- 19:28And one of the things that Scientology did claim at that
- 19:31time was also that they could cure homosexuality.
- 19:34So wait, really? They.
- 19:36Yeah. I didn't know.
- 19:36That there's another allegedly. Well, no, I think he just came
- 19:40out. John Travolta is a major
- 19:42Scientology. John Travolta came out as gay.
- 19:45Gay. Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
- 19:47Wait, what? I I heard that like he recently,
- 19:50I knew that like there were rumors about John Travolta being
- 19:53gay. The fact that like this is
- 19:54serious enough to you that you're Googling it right now is
- 19:56sending me. I feel like my dad would have
- 19:58told me about John Travolta being gay as well.
- 20:01I mean he. Looks at it, he.
- 20:01Also kind of like ties in with his links to Scientology, again,
- 20:05very similar to Tom Cruise. Like they say that they can care
- 20:07homosexuality. And then he's like, I'm not gay.
- 20:08I'm not gay, I'm not gay. He's I've continued to have
- 20:11these gay rumors. And then I I heard that he had
- 20:13just done an interview recently where they were like, people say
- 20:15that you're gay. And he was like, yeah, I mean,
- 20:17whatever. Like OK, just like, bored of
- 20:20fighting? Wait, let's talk about it, OK?
- 20:21John Travolta addresses persistent gay rumors alleged
- 20:25romance with former pilot What year is?
- 20:27This, this is an IMDb that's twenty.
- 20:28OK, this is 2014. I don't care that much about it.
- 20:31He's had these rumors and. Yeah.
- 20:36And I mean, and that's another person who's, like, huge into
- 20:39musicals and, like, Tom Cruise has been in a couple of musicals
- 20:42and always talking about how he wants to do another.
- 20:44If you sing, you're gay. You heard it here first.
- 20:49So there's this, this idea that, like, all of these guys who were
- 20:52joining Scientology at this time were trying to, like, help
- 20:57themselves in a way that they felt like nothing else could
- 21:00help. Oh my.
- 21:01God, that's so sad. And then they're really just
- 21:06taking advantage of them. They know that they'll like be
- 21:08able to be manipulated. They're like, these are really
- 21:11talented people to be great for their brand.
- 21:13Right. So, whoa.
- 21:16So really, Scientology is like, just like Christianity on
- 21:21steroids. In some ways.
- 21:23In terms of being. In terms of trying to, like,
- 21:26convert, yeah, Yeah. And like, convert conversion
- 21:30camps and stuff. Yeah.
- 21:31Yeah, totally. OK Wow.
- 21:32There are also the rumors say that in the past, like maybe 5
- 21:35or so years, Tom has really fallen off even more from
- 21:38Scientology because they had great disagreements about COVID.
- 21:42And Tom was, like, very adamant about following COVID protocols.
- 21:45Of course, because he loves movies.
- 21:47He wants the movies to be made and that rant get released where
- 21:49he's like, I don't want to see anybody.
- 21:51And he like is like freaking out on set and like an audio
- 21:54recording. Oh, I never saw.
- 21:55That Scientology stance was that like, oh like you can't get
- 21:58COVID if you like, carry your mind or whatever then.
- 22:01He was like, so do you think that there's like a contract
- 22:05that keeps him in it or do you think there's there's like a
- 22:08possibility he's out of it? I think that he is not allowed
- 22:13to say publicly that he is out of it, but I think like for all
- 22:16intents and purposes, he appears to be got it.
- 22:19So let's talk about Katie Holmes.
- 22:20So and how you think that they were in a like kind of organized
- 22:25Scientology relationship. Tom and Nicole got divorced in
- 22:30what 2000, 2001? I don't know.
- 22:32I'm asking you like you, I don't know, no offense.
- 22:35Sometime in the 2000, I got divorced after 99 before like
- 22:392003. And then during that time
- 22:42period, like 2003 to 2005, before he marries Katie Holmes,
- 22:46he this is like a big spike in his gay rumors.
- 22:51He was allegedly had this pilot boyfriend in Chicago, Tom
- 22:54Cruise, You know, ever since Top Gun loves the plane.
- 22:58Yeah. Judge Travolta also had a pilot
- 23:00pilot friend. What is going on with these?
- 23:03Pilots, I know. So he had this like, he had this
- 23:05like alleged boyfriend in Chicago.
- 23:08This is like 2000s. This is yeah, early 2000s.
- 23:11And then this is like the big one that is like the most iconic
- 23:14to me. I love when I find out a song is
- 23:17about a celebrity I didn't know it was about and so this is like
- 23:21something that is near and dear to my heart.
- 23:24Tom Cruise was allegedly having an affair with Rob Thomas of
- 23:27Matchbox 20 and allegedly. Why do I not know who that is?
- 23:32You he you would like know Matchbox 20 songs?
- 23:35I don't know if you'd know. Oh no, I definitely know
- 23:36Matchbox 20. I'm just.
- 23:38Oh, OK. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:39See. The story goes that Rob Thomas's
- 23:42wife caught Rob and Tom in bed together and then like, was
- 23:47gonna like freak out and. Like you're like TMZ and.
- 23:52Then was gonna like freak out and release the news.
- 23:54So that's why like Scientology was like, we can't we can't let
- 23:58this out. And they like orchestrate it.
- 24:00They started auditioning women to It's giving.
- 24:03It's literally giving Taylor Swift and Travis Kelly.
- 24:05It's and it's. This is like VPR, our
- 24:08relationship of all time is Tom Cruise and Katie, right?
- 24:11And she was like, there's like so many like alleged like facts
- 24:15about this and like who? I mean, there are people that
- 24:17know, but nobody like the public doesn't really know.
- 24:20But there's like a lot of other famous actresses that were
- 24:22supposedly like auditioning as well.
- 24:24And then Katie was like one of the less famous, but she was
- 24:27like, she's very, she's very meek and she's very demure and
- 24:31she's very, she like has a, they're like, that's perfect
- 24:34Jackie O energy. Yeah, she's a classic.
- 24:36Just. Feminine, yeah.
- 24:39Seeming woman. I can see why Scientology was so
- 24:42like and especially like compared to somebody like Nicole
- 24:44Kidman, who's like very fiery and crazy and outspoken.
- 24:47Right. It's like a very opposite of
- 24:48that. They're like we can control her
- 24:50more. Other girlfriends like are also
- 24:52very usually like weird crazy women like Tom presented Cher
- 24:56which is first of all, I think it might be for a man gay or
- 25:00today chair than to date another man I.
- 25:02Totally agree. Wait what's so funny?
- 25:05And major point you just brought up is like bisexual men's taste
- 25:11in women. Does not reflect straight men's
- 25:13taste in. Women, right?
- 25:14It's just like by women. Yeah, and exactly we have.
- 25:18Our own issues with our sexualities, but we've gone
- 25:22between lesbian, bisexual, lesbian, bisexual many times.
- 25:26And I do feel that by women's attraction towards men is like a
- 25:32weird subset of men. It's not like the same type of
- 25:36men that like straight girls are into.
- 25:38So that's very interesting. I've never heard of anyone talk
- 25:40about that before, but that makes sense.
- 25:42Like Nicole Kidman is very different from Katie Holmes.
- 25:45I mean, and I would say clearly, yeah.
- 25:47And, and like, no offense to either of them.
- 25:49I think that they're probably both lovely.
- 25:51Yeah. But I, I it does seem like the
- 25:54interaction that Tom would have with, with Nicole where like,
- 25:57they were very publicly affectionate.
- 26:00There's like a famous picture to me where, like, she's so much
- 26:03taller than him, obviously, because also like, she's a tall
- 26:05woman and he's like, very famously a short man.
- 26:07Yeah. And like, there's a picture
- 26:08where he like is kissing like right between her shoulder
- 26:11blades on her back and like on the red carpet, Like it's crazy.
- 26:13Why am I standing this? See, it's.
- 26:16My love is so real to me and it's another.
- 26:19Thing of like just because someone's having APR
- 26:22relationship doesn't mean all their relationships were PR and
- 26:25it doesn't mean that they're not bi.
- 26:28Like it doesn't mean that they're fully.
- 26:29Gay is a great example. Right, totally.
- 26:32Sometimes we've touched on this and groups of friends and it's
- 26:36obvious. It's obvious that only we care
- 26:38about it. So I do think that we've had to
- 26:42we've had to hold back. Yeah, exactly.
- 26:43This is actually just for us get into these lyrics for me of
- 26:47Matchbox 20. Yes.
- 26:48So as I was saying, I and I got distracted by thinking about
- 26:52Nicole Kidman. This happens to me frequently.
- 26:54But so he was allegedly all done with Rob Thomas.
- 26:57And Rob Thomas allegedly wrote the song Lonely No More about
- 27:01Tom Cruise. Now let.
- 27:03Yeah, let's let's take a peek. I'm loving the lyrical analysis.
- 27:08Now, it seems to me that you know just what to say, but words
- 27:11are only words. Can you show me something else?
- 27:13Can you swear to me that you'll always be this way?
- 27:15Show me how you feel. That is like, very.
- 27:19I mean, I would say that's like kind of a general love song
- 27:22feeling. Yeah.
- 27:23But it's it seems very much like this person is saying that they
- 27:26love me, but I'm not seeing it. And swear to me that you'll
- 27:29always be this way. Continue to do.
- 27:31This and not just. Yes, in the closet, Yeah, in
- 27:35secret or and it and it also communicates this this idea of
- 27:40like I you won't demonstrate it like me being with me.
- 27:46Yeah, yeah. You won't be open.
- 27:47About that and then we have but I don't want to be No, this is
- 27:51the chorus as we all know. I don't want to be lonely no
- 27:53more. I don't want to have to pay for
- 27:55this. I don't want another lover at my
- 27:57door. Now remember the story allegedly
- 27:59is that his wife, like walked in on them.
- 28:02I don't want another lover at my door.
- 28:03It's just another heartache on my list.
- 28:05Obviously, like he has heartache over this relationship with Tom
- 28:08Cruise, but also heartache over his, like, his wife, right?
- 28:12Well, it's like you can't really feel.
- 28:14Heartache. You cheat on her.
- 28:15Right. Like this is your fault.
- 28:16That I can understand. He's like, he's like, not only
- 28:18am I losing this relationship, but I'm also losing the other
- 28:21relationship I have. It's just another heartache on
- 28:23my list, which is like in the context of the song that
- 28:26otherwise doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense.
- 28:28Right. Open up to me like you do your
- 28:30girlfriends. OK, think about that.
- 28:33Open up to me like you do your girlfriends.
- 28:35Obviously in the context of the song where you're, you're
- 28:37interpreting it as heterosexual, be like, like your friends,
- 28:40girl. Open up to me like you would be
- 28:41your friends. Or in the context of like you
- 28:44actually had these girlfriends, probably during their
- 28:48relationship. It's like, why don't you treat
- 28:49me like you treat those? Women or my girlfriends on TMZ
- 28:53and. Also, it's more of a stretch to
- 28:56take it as girl space friends than it is to say, like
- 29:01girlfriends. Right.
- 29:02It's written girlfriend, no space.
- 29:04Girlfriends and And we know Oh my God, the last one.
- 29:09What if I was good to you? And what if you were good to me?
- 29:12And what if I could hold you till I feel you move inside me?
- 29:15Now what would a straight man know about?
- 29:16That that is, I was talking this podcast, I say, you know, being
- 29:21queer is not, it's not about sex, it's about a community.
- 29:25It's about love. Whatever.
- 29:27Also, this is about gay sex. This.
- 29:29Is about gay sex and I'm not about to erase gay sex.
- 29:33What do you? Mean move inside me unless he's
- 29:38being penetrated by a woman. Yeah, which is like now you're
- 29:43writing, now it's like now this is a great taboo.
- 29:45Had to be like, oh, you could interpret this strength.
- 29:47Right, you have to stretch. It makes wait genuinely.
- 29:51Let's pause in a second. Besides sex, what could that
- 29:55possibly? Mean till I feel you move inside
- 29:57me. Hold you till I feel you move
- 29:59inside me. And that's great, Oh my God.
- 30:03And then the following line is And what if it was paradise?
- 30:07And what if we were symphonies? And what if I gave all my life
- 30:10to find some way to stand beside you?
- 30:12And this is another thing I know I I'm obviously familiar with
- 30:15your work. This is something thanks.
- 30:18Say, I would say frequently about Taylor Swift.
- 30:21Is that like there's so many lines and so many songs where
- 30:26she's discussing like, oh, I can't, I can't let people know.
- 30:29I can't let people know. I can't let people know.
- 30:31And this what if I gave all my life to try to find some way to
- 30:35stand beside you? Why would that be about his
- 30:37wife, who he's married to right and like this is so this is so
- 30:43much more makes sense of something like we like how can
- 30:46we as people who are not allowed to be gay publicly, Like how can
- 30:51we be together right and I literally can't publicly stand
- 30:55beside. You literally how can we do
- 30:57that? It's so clear because if this
- 30:59was about anyone else, why would he try to spend his entire life
- 31:03trying to figure out how to be publicly in this relationship?
- 31:07It's crazy. That's insane.
- 31:09I've never thought about it this way.
- 31:12OK, it's us into Katie Holmes. So the Rob Thomas drama
- 31:15allegedly brings us to a quick, quick marriage to Katie Holmes,
- 31:20who had never before been seen publicly with Tom and before
- 31:23they started dating very publicly.
- 31:24Pap walks. You know how it goes.
- 31:26Yeah, and then literally like. Yeah.
- 31:29And they had this relationship and they had their daughter.
- 31:33And it's hard to say how much it became real, but it is very.
- 31:37Right. It started out very constructed.
- 31:40Yeah, Oprah freak out. I was going to say with the
- 31:42Oprah freak, No, I don't know what the Oprah freak out is.
- 31:44During his marriage to Katie Holmes, he.
- 31:47His career had like kind of taken a turn for the worse.
- 31:50He was making not as good movies as people were used to.
- 31:53Really. I feel like maybe that's just
- 31:54'cause I was like at the. Age where I was noticing
- 31:56celebrities when I was like, noticing him and Katie Holmes.
- 31:59Yes, and so he and the thing he was most famous for at the time
- 32:04was like how public this relationship was.
- 32:06Right, that's all he was focused.
- 32:07On yeah, and that makes sense. He went on Oprah and she kind of
- 32:11was like asking him a lot of questions about her and he
- 32:16basically like he like snaps and he starts like jumping up and
- 32:20down on the couch. I mean, like, I love Katie
- 32:23Holmes, I love my wife like, and it's like it's a famous
- 32:26celebrity freak out. And it's this is around the time
- 32:29I want to say this is also 2007 if I'm not mistaken.
- 32:32It's around the time of the Britney freak out.
- 32:33At the end of this podcast and you aren't allowed to skip.
- 32:39You have to watch the rest of it.
- 32:41I'm gonna add this clip. The Oprah figure.
- 32:44You should also add the Colin Farrell clip.
- 32:45It's. Absolutely.
- 32:46OK, great. Half his podcast is gonna be
- 32:48like clips of dumb. So funny.
- 32:50My God, cuz I haven't even seen that.
- 32:52Yeah, you're gonna. I'm so excited to watch.
- 32:54But basically he has this very public freak out and I think it
- 32:59would it would make a lot of sense to me if he was like kind
- 33:03of under a lot of mental duress and like he had to keep feeling
- 33:05these questions where people were questioning his marriage,
- 33:08which was probably fake, right. And that would be really he's
- 33:11like, I love her, I love her. OK, exactly.
- 33:13And kind of like snaps and like that then after the Ober freak
- 33:18out like he was like kind of like a pariah for like 5 years
- 33:21cuz people were like he's psychotic.
- 33:24No way. That's so interesting.
- 33:27Yeah. So the reason why we started
- 33:29talking about this is because there is, was it LA or some
- 33:34other night of the era's tour where Tom Cruise was there and
- 33:39was Hugh Jackman there? Probably London.
- 33:42It was London because that's where he lives and and Maddie
- 33:46was like, oh, did you see Tom Cruise shut up with his
- 33:47boyfriend? And I was like, hello.
- 33:49Whoa, what took? 5 pins of that, Yeah, I was like
- 33:54everyone. Shut the fuck up.
- 33:56You're telling me airs tour Plus yes, Tom Cruise and a boyfriend.
- 33:59So there are a lot of men that Tom Cruise is allegedly linked
- 34:02to and there are a lot of men I don't even know if have had a
- 34:05relationship with Tom Cruise who are obsessed with him, for
- 34:08example. This is just a fun little
- 34:09tidbit. He just has like.
- 34:10Fanboys sun Cruise after Tom Cruise and they're like friends.
- 34:15That's weird, right? Yeah, that is weird.
- 34:18Anyway, David Beckham always gave me like I don't.
- 34:22And it's giving like what's what's scares and scares maybe
- 34:25dating a Spice Girl, right? And two of the Spice Girls were
- 34:28gay. Can't even get a know.
- 34:30What? Talks about.
- 34:31Yeah, exactly. And so anyway, we'll talk about
- 34:34it later. So Tuckers is like allegedly
- 34:35linked to all these men. You guys can look it up like
- 34:37they're all these, all these theories.
- 34:40People believe now that he is in some sort of probably throuple
- 34:45with Christopher McCoy and his wife.
- 34:49And Christopher Mcquarrie is who he's been doing the most recent
- 34:53Mission Impossible movies with. So he's directed, I wanna say
- 34:57the last two or three, yeah. And they have like a very close
- 35:01working relationship. They're very good, go watch
- 35:03them. They are good, I love them this.
- 35:05Podcast is paid for by Mission Impossible three we're.
- 35:09Doing Mission Impossible 8 next year 80.
- 35:11We're already on 8/8. So I had no idea it's.
- 35:14Gonna be great. OK, we'll be there.
- 35:16I thought. I only thought there were two.
- 35:18One time I'm gonna have to talk about Henry Cavill with you, but
- 35:20we can't get into that. Wait, I thought he was out.
- 35:25There's so many gay. Things of Hollywood, like I know
- 35:27I'm we're so focused on this and by the way, how many gay rumors
- 35:31until it's just true? Right.
- 35:33Because because it's like there's a lot of celebrities
- 35:35that don't. Have any gay rumors?
- 35:37Yeah, Brad Pitt. I would never call Brad Pitt.
- 35:40Gay, that's so true. Gay bone and brad's body that's
- 35:42a very good point in interview with the vampire together known
- 35:45as one of Tom Cruise's gayest roles and Brad Pitt doesn't have
- 35:48a single gay rumor because we don't have gay.
- 35:51Wait, do you think Ben Affleck is gay?
- 35:54We can't get into that on this podcast.
- 35:57I think Ben Affleck is gay only in this world.
- 36:00For Matt Damon, Yes, I think Ben Affleck is a heterosexual man
- 36:03who is in love with a man in a way that I don't even know if
- 36:06he's capable of understanding, I think.
- 36:08He is bi and thinks he just like has a really close friendship.
- 36:14Yeah. And you know, the this kind of
- 36:16people where it's like, Oh my God.
- 36:17Like if they are by, it's like only for like one person, you
- 36:20know, it takes. One, it takes like he is like,
- 36:22what do they call that? Like he is like a Kinsey one,
- 36:25actually. There's a scale.
- 36:28There's a spectrum. OK, so Christopher Mcquarrie,
- 36:32and that is who he came to the air store with, is his alleged
- 36:36boyfriend and director and collaborator, Christopher
- 36:38Mcquarrie, Which is so funny because if you watch the footage
- 36:41and I have, Christopher Mcquarrie is like literally
- 36:44standing around there. He's wearing his suit.
- 36:45He's always in a suit and he's like standing around there like
- 36:48I don't know what's going on. So.
- 36:50Top boyfriend at home literally. And then Tom is like people are
- 36:54throwing friendship races at the time.
- 36:55He's like, he just. Literally.
- 36:58And honestly, when you said that, I was like, that makes so
- 37:00much more sense. Like he does give.
- 37:02He's like having a good time. He's like lover boy.
- 37:05Like like during lover he was like, yeah, it's so it's cute.
- 37:10And like, were you saying that you thought at that point that
- 37:13maybe he's like on the outs of Scientology?
- 37:16Yeah. And just, he just can't be
- 37:18honest about it. Yeah, That is, do you think that
- 37:20he'll he has that strong of a contract or something with
- 37:24Scientology or just because he's worried about them exposing that
- 37:27he's gay? I think that there's, I think
- 37:29I'm sure it's very complicated. I don't know if they like have
- 37:32contracts but I'm sure that they have blackmail on Tom that like
- 37:35doesn't even include him being gay.
- 37:37Right. Thinks just anything he's ever
- 37:39done in the past 60 years of his life like that.
- 37:43That is my estimate. I think he probably doesn't even
- 37:45care. I mean he once again, he doesn't
- 37:47really sue people for calling him gay anymore.
- 37:49I think he probably just like doesn't want his.
- 37:51I think he just doesn't his personal past released.
- 37:53That makes sense, I think he thinks.
- 37:55I don't think he cares about. People think he's, I mean, well,
- 37:56it makes sense. He's going to the air store with
- 37:58his boyfriend, right? Yeah.
- 38:00And this all tracks with what we've seen from Scientology and
- 38:03that people are like, it's so emotionally abusive.
- 38:06So it's not like we're like stretching that far.
- 38:09No, Right. Yeah, 'cause like, I mean, I, I
- 38:12think regardless of what you think about Tom Cruise's
- 38:14sexuality, I think it's pretty clear that Scientology has them
- 38:17under their thumb in a way that he's no longer comfortable with.
- 38:19Right. So what is all this about the
- 38:22tabloids reporting that Tom is dating anyone?
- 38:24He stands. Near oh so true.
- 38:25OK, so this is this has to do with the Mission Impossible
- 38:27thing. So like he was with Haley Atwell
- 38:30because she was in Mission Impossible 7 with him.
- 38:33And so like he would like be cop places with her caught.
- 38:35I mean, they were just like going to dinner and stuff,
- 38:37right? But he would be out when they're
- 38:39filming a movie, then they're filming a movie.
- 38:42And I think this might have even happened before she was
- 38:44announced cast. So there were like these rumors
- 38:47that like they were dating and like he didn't say anything and
- 38:52her camp didn't say anything. And then after the movie came
- 38:55out, she was like, yeah, I have made like engaged.
- 38:56I've been in a relationship for years and years with my my
- 38:59fiance now husband. And you think they just did like
- 39:02that? Buster, just to cover.
- 39:04Up Yeah, always, always there's like rumors about him, like
- 39:08dating just literally any woman in the world and they'll.
- 39:10I've know recently there was like this like kind of like not
- 39:14heiress. What is the word socialite?
- 39:17OK, there's this like social European socialite that he was
- 39:20like took a picture with her at a party and he has like his arm
- 39:23around her. And then then there was like an
- 39:25article like Tom Cruise's mysterious New Girl.
- 39:28And then she was literally like she posted on her story.
- 39:30She's like, I'm so flattered by this.
- 39:32But I asked him for a picture like maybe he doesn't even like
- 39:34know me like that. Dude if that was me I'd be like
- 39:36the rumors are true rumors. Are true exactly.
- 39:39I mean, yeah, and, and now, like there's been like pictures of
- 39:42him that are released in the last like 5 or 6 months.
- 39:44And like if he's standing next to a woman, he doesn't like even
- 39:46put his arms around her anymore because it's like.
- 39:48So now he's like, I'm not even trying to be associated with
- 39:52women anymore. Y'all are.
- 39:54Just trying content and maybe they're also like, well, Tom
- 40:00Cruise is single, he must be dating women.
- 40:02So any woman figure. Out who it is before everybody
- 40:05else does. But it's like he's not dating
- 40:07women, he's dating. Look a little couple.
- 40:09Just look, look right in front of your eyes.
- 40:15It's the people that are right in front of you.
- 40:17That's so true. OK, well, that was amazing.
- 40:20I feel like I'm fully convinced. Let's talk about Leonardo
- 40:23DiCaprio. Virtually have less to say about
- 40:24this. I'm that's OK, this is all just
- 40:26this. Is just, I just wanted to add on
- 40:28to because we've talked about a few gay kings at this point.
- 40:32Yeah, we've talked about right, Yeah.
- 40:36Who was the other one? Thomas.
- 40:39Henry Cavill. Henry Cavill, yeah.
- 40:41And Leo DiCaprio. And I just think it's an
- 40:44interesting point to throw out because when you brought up this
- 40:48theory, I've got into fights of people about it.
- 40:51Actually, I think me and my girlfriend Sophia, you know, you
- 40:53guys know her. You guys know her?
- 40:55You know her, we were in Mexico, lovely 24 hour vacation and we
- 40:59were drinking and I was like, have you ever thought about
- 41:01Leonardo DiCaprio? Like maybe being gay and like
- 41:03only dating models to cover up his sexuality?
- 41:06And she was like, I really don't think so.
- 41:07And I was like, hey, it's gay. Anyways.
- 41:09She didn't actually, she wasn't passionate about it.
- 41:11But like, once I started thinking about it, it really
- 41:15does make sense. And it's not the craziest thing.
- 41:19And that's just kind of like my larger argument where it's like
- 41:24men who don't necessarily look like twinks can be gay,
- 41:30especially when they have these like, really tight romances.
- 41:34We all hear what men do in closed doors.
- 41:36They. Do sword fights and all this.
- 41:38Shit, so they're close enough to doing it and OK, so let's just
- 41:43get into it. Let's get into it.
- 41:44So yeah, I did you bring this up to me?
- 41:49You. Did.
- 41:49Yeah, Yeah. Cuz like obviously like you're
- 41:51like the number one, like I think the celebrity's gay person
- 41:54in the world other than maybe me.
- 41:56And it's funny because like, I didn't even.
- 41:58Start feeling this way until like Taylor Swift started
- 42:02flagging so much and then like you start picking up on like
- 42:05similar themes of other celebrities.
- 42:07Not that anyone that's single for a long time is gay, but it
- 42:11doesn't help if you like, I don't know, Taylor Swift has
- 42:14never actually walked a red carpet with a man ever in her
- 42:17life. Yeah.
- 42:17I Leonardo DiCaprio until you said it.
- 42:20And that like kind of really shocked me.
- 42:22It's like. No ones good enough for the red
- 42:24carpet. Yeah, they would.
- 42:25Go to each others premieres for five years.
- 42:28So they would show up separately and walk the red carpet
- 42:30separately. So weird.
- 42:32I get like not wanting to center your partner in your work, but
- 42:36like getting a solo picture and then getting a six years and six
- 42:40years, Maddie. Question is begged to be asked.
- 42:44Leonardo DiCaprio has had this stereotype put on him like.
- 42:48Being the spatula that only dates 25 year old model.
- 42:50It's been going on for 15 years, don't you think?
- 42:52And by the way, it's like kind of negative.
- 42:54I mean, you could argue it's positive, but like, wouldn't it
- 42:57be amazing? The tabloids will go fucking
- 42:59crazy in a good way if he started dating a 35 year old
- 43:03woman. They would if he started dating
- 43:05a couple. If he started dating you or I at
- 43:07our young. 27 years old. Are you 27?
- 43:10Also you're 26. How old?
- 43:11I'm 27, you're. Oh my God, we're both 27 hitting
- 43:14you or I at 27. It would be the the biggest
- 43:17thing in right for the week. But.
- 43:18Think about another Playboy bachelor, George Clooney, right,
- 43:24who I don't even think is gay, that got into a relationship
- 43:27with Amal Clooney, Icon, legend, smartest woman in the.
- 43:30World beautiful, stunning, genius, Age appropriate.
- 43:33I don't think she's still younger than him, but she's not
- 43:3515, so huge benefit there. But anyways, they got a
- 43:39relationship eight couple. So after that, don't you think
- 43:43Leo DiCaprio would be like an amazing, like a perfect person
- 43:47to set up for like a power couple like you said, right?
- 43:50So it's that would be so beneficial for me every time.
- 43:54So when you said it's a win win scenario for him to be able to
- 43:58cover up his queerness by continually feeding this yeah,
- 44:02negative stereotype of maybe not as bad and career ruining as him
- 44:06being gay because all of his fans are middle-aged women.
- 44:09Right. And, and I, I actually think
- 44:11that for his image, especially like the type of roles that he's
- 44:15going for, especially now as he gets older, he he like kind of
- 44:19like left this heartthrobby image of himself behind him.
- 44:23Titanic, right. And maybe, maybe a ten years
- 44:25after that. Yeah.
- 44:27Because I would say like, he's still pretty heartthrobby and
- 44:29like, catch me if you can and stuff like that.
- 44:31But he, I would say for at least the past 10 or 15 years,
- 44:34especially the last 10 years since the Oscar win, he has been
- 44:37like really hungry for roles that are really challenging and.
- 44:41Really complicated date and age appropriate woman.
- 44:44Yeah, yeah. And, and, and it's like, I think
- 44:47he likes the idea of like if people have these negative
- 44:51thoughts about me, like being a bad person, I'm more likely to
- 44:54get cast in these roles where I will be a bad person in the
- 44:58role. And so like, I think he's like,
- 45:01thinks it's giving him the roles that he wants.
- 45:03Actually, that makes sense. Yeah.
- 45:04And like I said, I had to explain to you, it's it's
- 45:06beneficial for these models, these young models come out and
- 45:09gives them a career. Yeah, it gives them like 25
- 45:12everybody they get. Photographed a ton and they're
- 45:15almost always models. And every time they're
- 45:18photographed on vacation, it's always like them and Leo.
- 45:22Who else is there? Maddie.
- 45:25Typically, either Tobey Maguire or Bradley Cooper is also on
- 45:29vacation with this. Oh my God, We didn't even get
- 45:32into Bradley. That's what that's what I
- 45:34realized. I was like, Oh my God, we didn't
- 45:35even put Bradley Cooper. But Bradley Cooper, by the way,
- 45:38shut up. Gigi Hadid dated both of them,
- 45:41Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Oh.
- 45:42My God, you're. Right.
- 45:43Do you guys think that's weird? Because.
- 45:44And by the way, I don't even think Gigi's great.
- 45:46I think Gigi's just on a side quest.
- 45:48Yeah, well, and because I and like, met Bradley through like
- 45:51the bearding of Hugh. Jackman and is.
- 45:53That like she, she's literally been everybody's beard.
- 45:56An average. Yeah, in the world.
- 45:58I'm the only person that she's ever dated that wasn't like an
- 46:00old man and was Zane, was Zane and they have like child
- 46:03together. And then I got my baby and I got
- 46:05out. That's I think she has her baby
- 46:07and she's chilling and she's like, I think she's close
- 46:10friends in this group. I mean, it makes sense.
- 46:12OK, this old gay guys. Oh my God.
- 46:15It's no group. I would rather ingratiate
- 46:17myself. This group is literally like the
- 46:19heirs to her, like. And also these people have all
- 46:21been in the NFL, but pretty much Hugh Jackman and his boyfriend.
- 46:24Yeah, Anthony from Queer Eye and what the fuck?
- 46:29Think Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Who?
- 46:32Ryan Reynolds bisexual Tom Cruise and couple who he's
- 46:39dating Bradley Cooper who is now going these double dates with
- 46:43Gigi Bradley, Travis kelstein, Taylor so.
- 46:46They're surrounding, they're cleaning.
- 46:50Out and like they're going out and they're like.
- 46:52No one knows like I was like but.
- 46:54We know, and I'm so jealous. And by the way, guys, they're
- 46:58doing coke. They're not like going home to
- 47:01have babies. They're in Hollywood.
- 47:02I think people have this idea that celebrities that are kind
- 47:06of just, like wholesome and just like us and aren't doing drugs
- 47:09and aren't going out. They're not settling down and
- 47:14having a family and voting for Trump, right?
- 47:16They're all gay and they're going to Big Star and they're
- 47:18doing coke and they're sleeping with each other.
- 47:20Yeah. And even if they aren't gay, the
- 47:23cheating that is going on and that is.
- 47:25Going on would shock people. Shocking.
- 47:29So like, regardless of the queerness, the infidelity, the
- 47:32ruffles. Yep, yeah, group sex parties,
- 47:35right? That's crazy.
- 47:36So anyways. People just have no idea.
- 47:40And also, I mean, that's kind of like what the media wants to
- 47:42push out because they want to make them relatable for the rest
- 47:45of America. Like I get it, but it's not the
- 47:47reality. I, I will say on that Leonardo
- 47:50DiCaprio, it's beneficial for these women.
- 47:53I've I've heard, I don't even remember genuinely where I heard
- 47:56this, but somebody said said that like he has like in the
- 48:00contract, the car contract with these women that like the reason
- 48:04that it ends at 25 is because like he wants them to still like
- 48:08have time to go like Gigi and have her family and like so
- 48:12sweet. And I, I, I'm, I'm turning the
- 48:15narrative of being like, is he? An evil womanizing, basically a
- 48:20pedophile or is he a sweet old gay man helping women, young
- 48:25women rise up in their careers because Camilla Marone won an
- 48:28Emmy Award after dating him. So whatnot all about
- 48:31perspective. She was nominated, right?
- 48:34The biggest thing, especially for the men.
- 48:36And I do think there's like a different experience here for
- 48:41like men in Hollywood is their fan bases are women who are
- 48:46sexually interested in them. And if Leonardo DiCaprio is gay,
- 48:53what happens to all these middle-aged women that are like
- 48:56thirsting over him? I will also say one more thing
- 48:59about this. One of his closest friends and
- 49:02has been since 1999. Yes, this is the way to end.
- 49:08This is the real thing. One of his closest friends is
- 49:11Kate Winslet and they have been very, very close.
- 49:14They did another movie together in 2005, Revolutionary Road and
- 49:18Kate and Leo have continued to be friends.
- 49:20And mind you, they let's say theoretically he were to date
- 49:24someone like Kate Winslet, who is a beautiful, age appropriate
- 49:27woman for him. But he's never done that right.
- 49:29That's weird. But like he keeps her in his
- 49:31life all the time and she puts up with him.
- 49:34Would this amazing woman be putting up with this guy dating
- 49:3722 year olds? Like for real?
- 49:39And she famously, this is almost 10 years ago now.
- 49:43She said, I know at least five A list actors in Hollywood, men
- 49:51like who are terrified of coming out because of how Hollywood
- 49:56would react. I would also say especially in
- 49:58the movie industry, like I know you kind of focus a lot more on
- 50:01music and I don't know anything about music, but in the film
- 50:05industry, the the things that matter other than like, of
- 50:09course, like box office. And like you said, his fan base
- 50:11is like mostly women are mother's age, right?
- 50:14No, because like, that's when he was like a hot guy other than
- 50:19box office awards. And I think people pretty
- 50:22obviously know that he was really thirsty for that Oscar
- 50:25for a while. And the voting bodies of these
- 50:30awards shows are like, it's worse than the Senate.
- 50:35These are these are straight by old men.
- 50:37That's a very good point. Like here, if you're a gay guy,
- 50:41it's harder to get in there and and not that it doesn't happen.
- 50:44And that's a Coleman Domingo. That's a very good point as an
- 50:49out gay black man, right. But is that because they're
- 50:53like? Here's the Gay Black Man Award.
- 50:56That's hard to say. No, that's a very good point.
- 50:59It's not. It's not just fans and the
- 51:01perception of a celebrity. It's also like Leo for so long
- 51:05didn't have an Oscar. Everyone was like, let's get him
- 51:07that Oscar. And yeah, that's such a good
- 51:10point. Who's voting for him?
- 51:11Yeah. Yeah.
- 51:12I think we covered a lot. I think we covered.
- 51:14That was amazing. That was so great.
- 51:16Thanks for joining me anytime. We're about to continue drinking
- 51:20wine and talking about other people.
- 51:21Probably will continue to talk with us at expense of your
- 51:24remains. That's fine.
- 51:26Oh, OK. Bye, guys.
- 51:27Have a great week. Don't think about Trump being
- 51:28president. Yeah, just pretend that didn't
- 51:30happen. Bye.
