- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Also, the barrel room is beautiful.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna be hanging out inside, outside, wherever we can put everybody.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: Look, it's you know, for 20 years you've let us be silly with you guys and do this, and sometimes serious, but and you know, and and sometimes, well, really just piss you right off.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: Uh, but we're not worried about that.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: But you've you've tolerated it, so we we're like, we better give you something.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: Well, we appreciate it.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: Uh listen, I was telling you a minute ago, Gavin's new expression, which when and this is the way it happens.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: We'll be in the most casual moment, walking back to the car.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Here's Gavin, there's Lucas, there's me.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: We're walking.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: All of a sudden, and I'm watching I'm watching these two talk about stuff, even though they're in class together, they still just keep going, right?
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: And then all of a sudden you hear Gavin go, oh, it's absolute cinema, barr! And he does his hands go up like brrrr, you know, like like I don't know, like a terror, like a almost like a monster in a way.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: He goes, but it was absolute cinema.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: I don't know what they were talking about, but I'm like, what?
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: And so the expression stopped me.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: I'm like, well, that's pretty funny.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: And uh even rolls says, Appreciate the Gavin times, keeps us old people in the loop.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: We we kind of know what's going on here now.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: Uh, and then I want to come over to this teacher right here, who uh, and and this is uh I got a couple things that are happening for teachers right here as you're getting there.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: So this teacher who teaches in Detroit had the oddest question of the year asked to her.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: So today I had a student who I have had in my class since the first day of school.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: We've been in school for a month now, look at me dead in the eye and say, Are you the teacher?
- 3:37unknown: What?
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Pardon?
- 3:39unknown: Yeah.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Well, and also, don't you guys do open house where you meet the teacher?
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: So that's your first indication of this is your teacher.
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: This is your teacher.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Also, this is the person that stands in the front of the room.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're this far in.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Teaching you?
- 3:53SPEAKER_02: Are you the teacher?
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, I really, I really fear for some of your kids, by the way.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: Man, I now take you, and this is gonna be an idea for the teachers, okay?
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: I want to see if you did this.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Why does this not bother me yet?
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: No, it doesn't.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: I'm excited for it.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: Snow, let it snow, let it snow.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: It'll bother me when it's still happening in March.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, that's a good point.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I want to know if you had a teacher that ever did this, and what I'm about to float out to you, teachers, adopt it.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: You know, I've been preaching since, oh, I don't know, about another month and a half.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: About a month now.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: I have said, because our summer was so weird and we're in this uh La Niña uh year, I think we're gonna have snow on Halloween this year.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, you keep saying this.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: I know! I now take you to Now take you to the farmer's You're stupid.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: I don't want this at all.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: I want to be able to My costume is not good for snow.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, let's call Mother Nature.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: No costume is good for snow because they're always so thin.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: But you know what?
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: The most memorable Halloweens are the ones that it's snowed on.
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: Shush.
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: So anyway, the farmer's almanac is letting everyone in the country know.
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: I thought they were tired.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: When they'll see no, they're online now, when they'll see snow for the first time.
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: Now, I'm gonna tell you about us in a second.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: But did your teacher ever do this?
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: Now, maybe this was because I grew up in Buffalo, but you grew up in Cleveland, you had the same climate.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: Did you ever have a contest with your students where they picked the first day of a sticking snow?
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: No.
- 5:28SPEAKER_02: And if you were correct, you got rewarded with like no homework or you didn't have to do a test.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: I'm floating.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: What a great idea! Here you go, teachers.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: I remember this.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: I was very young in grade school, and back when we used to get tons of snow in Buffalo.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: God saying in 30 days from now, we're gonna see snow.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: You can mark me on the calendar, and that day I won't get homework.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: I I oh yes.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: Um, I put I wrote this down just as a little thing for us to remember, but it is really a great idea, especially if you're looking for ways to initiate the kids with fun and camaraderie.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: That's what it is.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: You kind of you do that.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: So do the what you do is you get out a calendar and you have everybody mark down a day they think is gonna be the first not a snow day, but a sticking snow.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: Maybe and when I say the first time we Instagram it.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right, exactly.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: And we're not talking like that wet snow you saw a flake in the sky.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: We're talking it stayed on the ground.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: Yep, yep, yep, yep.
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: For a little bit.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: I think that's a great idea.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: No, we never did it.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: Now over to the farmer's almanac.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: Um When's New York getting it?
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: Because you said Halloween.
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: So the upper Midwest, no, that's a little bit further.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, the Great Lakes and the Northeast.
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: We'll see snow in November.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: So here we go.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: November, what?
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Doesn't it?
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: Beginning of November?
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: Doesn't it?
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: End of November?
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: Well, remember, Halloween is right at the end of October, beginning of November.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: I still don't think.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: So and they say mid-Atlantic will most uh likely because you gotta almost combine the two the way we sit.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: Oh, it's gonna be early December for them.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: Um all right, so they say November.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: I still stick with Halloween.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: Scott's wrong.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying that right now.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: You're you're wrong.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Uh and just to say I'm right, and then I'm gonna just be like, I told you.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: I want to tell you why I want to go to prison with Diddy.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: I know that seems weird because he's the guy he's the guy that was doing all the freak offs with the baby oil.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: But but wait a second.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: I kind of want to get in that cell for a day.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, I gotta hear this.
