- 3:02my special guest is Miss Apostle Tamela Lucas. Praise the Lord, Praise
- 3:14the Lord. Just is my beautiful friend my podcast crews. Sister, Miss
- 3:23Apostle Tamla Lucas. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to Trigger Reaction Conquered. It
- 3:30is a wonderful blessing to have you here on this platform. Thank you.
- 3:36How are you today? I'm good. God's good. Hallelujah. Amen.
- 3:42So I have my Bible in front of me and you have your Bible in
- 3:46front of you. So we're gonna go ahead and read our scripture. Our
- 3:50scripture today is coming from some one fifty In its entirety, the topic the
- 3:59topic of our podcast today is ministry. So I will go for us with
- 4:06the reading of the Word of God, and then we will dig in to
- 4:11what ministry is A Man Psalm one fifties. Praise ye the Lord. Praise
- 4:17God in his sanctuary. Praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise
- 4:24him for his mighty asks. Praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise
- 4:30him with the sound of a trumpet. Praise him with the soulstry and art.
- 4:34Praise him with the timber and dance. Praise him with the string instruments
- 4:40and organs. Praise him upon the loud sounding symbols. Praise him upon the
- 4:46high sounding symbols. Let everything that half breath praise the Lord. Praise ye
- 4:56the Lord. Truly, it is a blessing to be able to have the
- 5:00opportunity to praise the Lord. And we just read about the many ways that
- 5:04we can go before God in praise and worship. At this time, I
- 5:11am going to ask my amazing guest, Miss Apossible Tamla Lucas, if she
- 5:17would expound on that scripture, because she chose that for her podcast tonight.
- 5:26A man, I think we forget to praise God. I think we just
- 5:30assume because we woke up in the morning, we all right. But God
- 5:35wants us to praise him. He says, seek me early in the morning.
- 5:40And so when you get up in the morning, you praise him,
- 5:43you clap your hands, you said Honelujah, thank you Jesus. And a
- 5:46lot of people think, oh, it's just too simple. Well why is
- 5:49that too simple? You know, if you're in love with somebody, what
- 5:54you do You get him a kiss, You tell me you love them in
- 5:56the morning, don't you. So that's how you show God you love.
- 6:03He told us to praise him, So that's what we need to do.
- 6:08Amen. So it sounds like the Lord telling us to praise him is a
- 6:14direct command. So if the Lord says for us to praise him and it's
- 6:18sanctuary, that's what we need to be doing. So this is the day
- 6:25that the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it.
- 6:29And we're gonna talk about your upbringing right now before we get into the
- 6:35ministry. We'll talk about upbringing and your family life. Hallelujah. Yeah.
- 6:44I was one of those children who probably shouldn't I have made it. Um.
- 6:48I was a premi and so I was in the hospital for my first
- 6:51three months of my life. And that's what made my mom become a praying
- 6:56woman. And so when I got out. I will still alert to everything.
- 7:00Everything she everything she tried, you know, didn't work. She's like,
- 7:05oh lord, I wasn't gonna do with this baby. This baby is
- 7:08allergic to everything. This baby stays. This baby wherever you could think of
- 7:13this baby, it has encounter just coming to this earth. Hallelujah. But
- 7:18when she found out what to use, hallelujah, I start getting better and
- 7:24better. I was was born or bad feat so I had to wear special
- 7:28shoes as a little girl. And you know how children are there are mean,
- 7:32and you know people, the child will pick on me. So I
- 7:35got picked on a lot because of my special shoes. And so one day
- 7:41I told my mom, I say, I don't want to wear these special
- 7:44shoes. I want me some cute shoes, you know. And I was
- 7:46in third grade, and she went bought me some cute little shoes and everything.
- 7:50And I'm telling you, when gem time comes. When she was in
- 7:54the middle of the day, I was in so much pain. Couldn't we
- 7:58walk. I have felled down and laid like in a fetal position. I
- 8:03could move out. The pain shot up all from my feet all the way
- 8:07up. I could move, And so they had to call my mom,
- 8:11and my mom did say anything to me. She didn't say, well,
- 8:13that's what you get, I told her, so she didn't say any of
- 8:16that. But when I got home, I put my special shoes back on.
- 8:22And that's who create That's how God created me. From that day on,
- 8:28I didn't care what people say about me. You can talk about me
- 8:31all you want. It didn't matter because as long as I was alive and
- 8:37was not in pain, it didn't matter what you say about me. So
- 8:41that I had got that attitude then, and a lot of people think I'm
- 8:45manch Alou or think that I don't care. No. From that day on,
- 8:50I just didn't care what people say about me, because you know,
- 8:54this is my body and we're not gonna help me and make it better than
- 9:00your words mean nothing to me. So that's how my character gat Bill from
- 9:05third grade ONU, Well, I think God truly, and let me know
- 9:13that you are a true walking miracle because a lot of times when the babies
- 9:18are premis, they be in a hospital for a long time and then they
- 9:24have problems developmentally. I myself had a premier. He was a one pound
- 9:28and eight ounces by the time he got two years old. He died because
- 9:33his brain wasn't fully developed. So I said that to saying that you are
- 9:39truly blessed of the Lord because he spared you to grow up to be the
- 9:45woman that you are, and he taught you about being happy about who you
- 9:50are instead of letting other people make you feel bad about your disabilities. And
- 9:56I do believe that's the reason why you are the wonderful woman that you are
- 10:00today. So we thank God for that. Amen, thank you for sharing.
- 10:05How long have you been in ministry? I started preaching the Word of
- 10:13God in nineteen ninety four. I became a minister in nineteen ninety four,
- 10:18and then I became an evangelist I think twenty fifteen or twenty twelve, something
- 10:24like that. I think I became an evangelist twenty twelve, a pastor twenty
- 10:30seventeen, an overseer twenty twenty two, and then at the end I was
- 10:37affirmed as an apostle. So God just you know, I just went up
- 10:43and up. But I just give God a praise because I just want to
- 10:46be pleasing to God. Yes, And how did you know when the ministry?
- 10:54What was the episode? What happened? I think I knew when I
- 10:58was nine years because I will always preach the world, act like the different
- 11:01pastors you know. I have my and my favorite scripture was the Passover.
- 11:07When you put on the blood on the door post, the death angel would
- 11:11pass all of you. I just do that when when I was nine,
- 11:16and talk to my stuffed animals and the windows would be open. The neighbors
- 11:20were here. And so one day on while I was on my knees prank
- 11:22because my mother taught us as a little bit children like five years on up
- 11:26to get our knees and pray. That's all we knew hallelujah. And so
- 11:31one day at nine years old, after preaching the word, I went in
- 11:37like a sleep and I can hear God said I call you to be an
- 11:43evangelist. And I was like, what is that? And so I went
- 11:46downstairs and asked my mamma what's an advanteance? And she gave me different scriptures.
- 11:50And when I read that, I was like, I ain't doing that.
- 11:54And so for a long time I try to run away from I try
- 11:58to run away from them ministry. But the Lord calling the show called became
- 12:05away. But I think that I think God for your ministry. I have
- 12:11heard to speak and I have heard you in the different arenas of ministry,
- 12:18and I'm very grateful that the Lord has coached you. I've known and seen
- 12:24people because they say that they are apostles and teachers and leaders and all this,
- 12:31but their lifestyle reciprocates something else, and I haven't seen that from you.
- 12:37So I believe that you are one of the ones that the Lord is
- 12:41looking for and calling in these last and evil days to bring people to him
- 12:48so that they might get saved and be pardoned from their sins. Now,
- 12:54the apostleship slash overseer slash evangelists, those those positions are leadership positions. So
- 13:09what would you say a good leader is? Okay, I've got a definition
- 13:16here. I'm gonna do this definition, Dow, I'm going to say my
- 13:18definition. And then, according to Coactive Outcome and said, today's leaders need
- 13:24to be agile, collaborative, and most importantly, relationship focus, able to
- 13:31connect with, engage, and empower others. Building relationship contensity within an organization
- 13:39require a commitment to personal and professional development. And I agree with them,
- 13:43because if you cannot get alan with somebody, you should not be in leadership
- 13:50because the leadership has to lead people, and no one's going to follow somebody
- 13:54that is out of order. No one's going to follow somebody that makes their
- 14:00life risible. And we are looking now how and when the younger generation is
- 14:07saying, you know, if you're not living right or talking about it,
- 14:09I'm not going to follow you. So leadership has to be on point.
- 14:13And what now, what God is doing, He is uncovering those who are
- 14:18not right in the ministry. So leadership has to learn and be there for
- 14:24people, not just for themselves. And we are looking at now some of
- 14:31the people who call themselves leaders, they're not leaders because what they're doing is
- 14:35I call them pymphatics. What they're doing is they're taking people's money and then
- 14:41just let people live any kind of way, and they're not caring about people's
- 14:45souls. And you have to care about souls. A true leader is going
- 14:50to make sure that person is safe. A true leader is going to make
- 14:54sure that person is okay. And if you tell somebody to do something,
- 14:58make sure that you you're willing to do the same thing. So a good
- 15:01leader will do that. If you ask somebody to clean something, you clean.
- 15:05If you ask somebody to wash something, you wash, not just do
- 15:11what I say, but don't do it, and I do. You know,
- 15:13a good leader knows how to lead people and talk to people and show
- 15:20people. And the best way to show people is to live right. Hallelujah.
- 15:26That's what a good leader is. You don't want to you know,
- 15:30we have seen some people, you know, we work with them. We
- 15:33also went to church with them and said, well, why is they doing
- 15:37this? Why is they doing that? And why didn't God get them all
- 15:41ready? But see, God is merciful and he will allow us to have
- 15:48God is merciful. He will allow us to have time to repent, to
- 15:52get ourselves right. But a good leader has a conscious, has a conscious
- 15:56and say you know, well, I'm gonna do my best not to you
- 16:00know, get in trouble. Now. Do we get in trouble some time?
- 16:03Yes, we do, because when we don't stay focused on God,
- 16:07we will fall into temptation. So no one is at samp. You know
- 16:14a lot of people say, oh I'm perfect, I will never get in
- 16:15trouble. Okay, horny, keep on living because you never know what's gonna
- 16:18happen in your day. Anything can happen that can cause you to slip.
- 16:23You know, the enemy, he always sending somebody, and he always sends
- 16:29somebody to push your buttons. So that's what we have to be on point
- 16:33and praying all the time. Lord keep me, leave me, and keep
- 16:37me hallelujsh Because you blah blah blah, and I say, yes, you
- 16:47consider yourself at the sturdy and scary. Oh yes, because I try my
- 16:52best to Um, I try my best to help. Because I'm an outreaching
- 16:59ministry. So if I if somebody need to go to the hospital, I'll
- 17:03go to the hospital. I'll go in, you know. And if they
- 17:07need their house to be clean, wash dishes, I'm hands on. I'm
- 17:12a hands on servant. I don't just talk about it, I'll just be
- 17:17about it. So I'm hands on. Well, I thank God that I
- 17:21thank God for your willingness to be of help when the time comes. We
- 17:26need a lot more people that are not lazy under the aspicies of being a
- 17:33Christian and being in leadership ship positions. So I thank God for you.
- 17:41I know that you sing, and you have a beautiful voice. I've heard
- 17:45you sing on several many occasions, and I would like to know if you
- 17:49would like to share a song today with our listening audience. Yes, I'm
- 17:57just gonna do two little briefs songs that my mother used to sing. Amen
- 18:02and what is I'm going up the Yonder. I'm going up the Yonder.
- 18:15I'm going up the Yonder to be with my Lord. WHOA, I'm going
- 18:26up the Yonder, going up the Yonder, going up the Yonder, going
- 18:33up the Yonder, to be, to be, to be, to be
- 18:41with my Lord. Whoa mm hm. Anybody asks you where I'm going,
- 18:56m yeah, where I'm going, Sue, whoa, I'm going up to
- 19:08yonder, going up to Yonder, going up to Yonder, going up the
- 19:17Yonder, to be, to be, to be, to be with my
- 19:23Lord. That's one of the songs. Another song, and we phrase God
- 19:32because that is our ultimate goal, to live down here on this earth and
- 19:37live eternally up in Yonder. Yonder is heaven. So we're going up in
- 19:45Yonder. Thank you for that beautiful selection, and have one more as well.
- 19:49Yes, and it's gonna be real brief swing low switches, real Lord,
- 20:00calming full to carry me, sweet Lord, see Chary, Lord calming
- 20:17full to carry me home those are two songs. My Mommy's a sing amen.
- 20:26I thank you for sharing those beautiful songs, and I'm very thankful that
- 20:33you did that in memory of your mother. And it's true that when our
- 20:38loved ones are gone on before us, that any little thing that we can
- 20:42do to remember them is a blessing for not just you, but for everybody
- 20:49around you. So thank you so much for reverencing your mom and making memories
- 20:56again. Um, do you believe in in your ministry when your church doing
- 21:06church are abroad or wherever? Do you believe that there is a such thing
- 21:11called a prosperity offering? No, there's I never saw that in the Bible.
- 21:19I've been reading the Five the Pentatoos, the Pentatoos, the five First
- 21:25Bibles, the five first chapters of the Bible. It has all the kind
- 21:30of offerings in there, but there's no prosperity offering in there. So a
- 21:34God the only offering, the best offering. Gods that have be a cheer
- 21:38forgiver. So when you chill, hallelujah, regardless what you have, UM,
- 21:45God just wanted to be cheerful. I don't see any prosperity offering.
- 21:51And like the lady. You know when she had her little coins you got,
- 21:57she was the best she had. The it's offering because God gave her
- 22:02own. So careful we say prosperity offering because that's not in the Bible.
- 22:10Amen, And I agree with you. In churches, a lot of people
- 22:18are hurt because of you know, maybe they did something and the people don't
- 22:25want to forgive them, or they may have got kicked out of the choir
- 22:30for some odd reason or whatever. The Bible tells us that we all are
- 22:38the body of Christ, and if if one of the people in the body
- 22:45of Christ go astray, then those of us who are spiritual are supposed to
- 22:49go to them and restore them back into the body of Christ or into the
- 22:56church. So is there anything you can tell me about hurt? Hollelujah.
- 23:03We all experienced it, but how we respond makes a big difference. Some
- 23:07people, when they get hurt by people, they walk away from God completely.
- 23:14And I thank God for the mother I had, because I've seen people
- 23:17mistreat my mother, but she kept on pressing on and that put that in
- 23:22me. Glory be to God, because hallelujah, if I did not have
- 23:26the mother that I had, you would not see me right now today because
- 23:30halleluijam. When I was married to my first husband, hallelujah, I told
- 23:34them Hollywood kind of person he was, and I said, I was getting
- 23:37at divorce and they said, well, God hates divorce. I said,
- 23:41I know he hates divorce, but I have to get one. And I
- 23:45already foul. And because I have foul, I gotta kick out the church.
- 23:51Was I hurt? Yes, because I was there in majority of my
- 23:52whole life there from twenty two. I was there for twenty or twenty five
- 23:59years. So my children born in that church. That's all my children knew.
- 24:03And so we got kicked out and no one, No one asks about
- 24:10my side, No one asks, you know, and this is not like
- 24:14one church. These what churches because you know, z Yeah, it's a
- 24:18big organization. And they told everybody seeing her don't talk to her. So
- 24:23yeah, that's the big church her. Well, I am so sorry to
- 24:29hear that you had to go through such a horrific thing that that right there.
- 24:36I think it was totally wrong. I mean, I have heard come
- 24:41out from among them and be separated and be transformed by the renewing of your
- 24:47mind. But that's a whole different arena. I think that they should have,
- 24:55you know, embraced. You gave you an opportunity to speak about your
- 25:00reasoning for getting the divorce. The Bible says that we're supposed to be submissive
- 25:04to our husbands, but that's only if the husband is submissive to God.
- 25:11So they're supposed to know that if everybody's reading the same Bible. The Bible
- 25:17says that wise be submissive to your husband as your husband is submissive to God.
- 25:22The only reason for divorces if your husband is not doing right by God.
- 25:27So I'm on your team. I'm on your side because people are already
- 25:33hurting. Why do you want to throw some more hurt on them by excommunicating
- 25:37them from the church. So I hope and I pray that you have gotten
- 25:45over that and you're not walking around being hurt. Because God is the one
- 25:52that can take away every sorrow, every pain. He renews us daily,
- 25:57and He is the author and the finisher of our faith. We have our
- 26:03faith in Him and not man. So to God be the glory for you
- 26:07being able to overcome that and continue to press your way, because we are
- 26:12in a race, and the race is not for the one that wins.
- 26:17The race is for all of us. The race is not given to the
- 26:21swift, nor to the strong, but it's to the one that endures to
- 26:25the end. So, Woman of God, I admise you to continue to
- 26:30press on toward the mark of the prize of the high calling, which is
- 26:36in Jesus Christ. Amen. Okay, So on that note, I'm a
- 26:44sinner. I'm we all sinners. We are all sinners. We have all
- 26:48fallen short of the glory of God. But today I am a sinner,
- 26:55and I'm coming to you, Lord, Apostle. So Apostle, please,
- 27:02what must I do to be saved? I'm like the one that came crying,
- 27:07Lord? What must I do to be saved? What would you tell
- 27:11me? Came to you? I will ask you to turn to ex Chapter
- 27:15nineteen. Well, let's do that right now. M okay, I'm ready,
- 27:27okay, And we're going to read. We're gonna start at verse one.
- 27:36You want to read it now, I'm trying to get saved, okay.
- 27:41And it came to pass that Paulas was at Krem. Paul, having
- 27:47passed through the Upper coast, came to Ephesus and finding certain disciples. And
- 27:52he said to them, have ye received the Holy Ghost since you believe?
- 27:56And they said, unto him, we have not so much as heard,
- 28:02rather there be any holy ghost. And he said to them, unto what
- 28:07then were you baptized? And they said to him John's baptism. Then said
- 28:12Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying them to the
- 28:18people that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is
- 28:26on Christ, Jesus. And when they heard this, they were baptized in
- 28:30the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon
- 28:36them, the Holy Ghost came on them, and they spoke in tongues and
- 28:41prophesied. This is how you get saved. Hallelujah. That I have to
- 28:49believe in Jesus Christ in order to be saved. Yes, you do.
- 28:56What is it about Jesus Christ that he did that makes me feel like I
- 29:00should believe in him? You when you look, hallelujah, at all the
- 29:08things that you see, the beautifulness, the clouds, the treats. God
- 29:12made this, Jesus made us, and he died on the cross for us.
- 29:17And I'm telling his name is so powerful that even the government don't want
- 29:22you to say his name anymore. The government don't even want you to read
- 29:26the Bible. Hallelujah. So there is power, and there are so many
- 29:30miracles. And when you call on his name, hallelujah, things fall in
- 29:36place. And if you don't believe me, hallelujah, ever, just ever
- 29:40get almost like an almost a car accident and you call on Jesus and watch
- 29:45God stop that car for you, because he's still working miracles today. So
- 29:52are you all. I have to believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross
- 29:56for my sins and reverence him as Lord and Savior and start having a relationship
- 30:03with him through prayer and the word of God. And I can be saved,
- 30:08Yes you can. A man received it in the name of Jesuslah.
- 30:15Now I am saved. Amen. So do you have a special, a
- 30:22special message for our listening audience, hallelujah. I just wanted to say,
- 30:32for those who don't believe that Jesus is real, let me tell you the
- 30:37word of God, says hallelujsh If the enemy knew who Jesus was, he
- 30:44would not have crucified him. Mallelujah. See, Jesus had to be crucified
- 30:49for the remissions of our sins, hallelujah, because he already knew we was
- 30:56going to commit ushin because the Word of God said, we all have seen
- 31:00and come short of His glory. No one you know, even though people
- 31:03like the point fingers you did this, you did that. Guess what the
- 31:07word of God said. Oh so if the enemy had known that, he
- 31:11would not have crucified Jesus. So I just want you to remember God loves
- 31:15you. Despite what you have done. God still loves you. We keep
- 31:21on making mistakes. Sometimes we make mistakes over and over again. But the
- 31:26word of God said, repent quickly. Hollelujah. Don't ever get to the
- 31:30part point where you think God won't love you. God won't forgive you.
- 31:36The devil is a lot, said, The devil would tell you, oh,
- 31:38you saw evil, you so bad. God's not gonna forgive you,
- 31:41But he will hallelujah. There's no sin that how the God won't forgive unless
- 31:49if you blest for me his name, then he's not gonna forgive you.
- 31:55But any other sin will he forgive me? If I murder somebody? Yes,
- 31:59he will, And people said, what hey, look at all the
- 32:02different murderers that happened in the Bible. But God forgave them. God forgave
- 32:07Moses. He was a murderer. But we just put God in a box.
- 32:14But God loves us, hallelujah. So just repin and keep him moving.
- 32:20And man and man, I thank you for that. I know that
- 32:24you're an author of several books. And I thank God that God placed the
- 32:31words to paper, from pen to paper, and got you to the point
- 32:37where you are. And I was wondering if you have one of your manuscripts
- 32:44with you now and tell us a little bit about your book that you're gonna
- 32:49share with us in just a couple of minutes. My first children's books,
- 32:55and so Lisa NIE's love, and one thing about Celsa, my cousin.
- 33:04He made me a three D little person. This is Celie. This is
- 33:08my little girl, and this is Bobby, her best friend. Ain't they
- 33:15cute? Yeah? And I'm telling you, Celsa, she enters, this
- 33:21little girl enters a city where she's the only person that looks like an orange
- 33:27triangle. Everybody is blue circles, okay, And so she is different from
- 33:34everybody and so she has to learn how to get along with everybody, and
- 33:38everybody has a loan has to learn how to get along with her. And
- 33:42the only person who is communicating with her is Bobby. This is her best
- 33:49friend. She just made him, but Bobby is the one who helps her
- 33:53gets through. And see one thing about this life. God will always send
- 33:58us a friend. Oh yeah, He always send us somebody to encourage us
- 34:04to say, hold on, You're not by yourself. Everything's gonna be all
- 34:08right. So, um, this is a trilogy. The other two books
- 34:12are not out yet. Well, the stories are finished. I just need
- 34:17an illustrator. I need an illustrator because we follow to Lisa when she goes
- 34:24to junior high in high school. So I'm telling you she encounters a lot.
- 34:30So c Lisa needs love. Well, I thank God but Salissa,
- 34:36and I also thank God for Bobby, but being that wonderful friend that everybody
- 34:40needs in that life. I would like to know if you would like to
- 34:45read a little excerpt from your book, whatever your trace, whatever you want
- 34:52to read this finding with me. Okay, I have a m my first
- 34:57book. It's called You a Love and it's about my mom. And I'm
- 35:02reading here, It says the doctors and nurses came in and escorted Sopis out
- 35:08of the hospital room. The doctor told Sophist that she was not that this
- 35:15was not the time to go off on her daughter. The doctor said,
- 35:19if you come back, I will call the police for harassment. Your daughter
- 35:22needs encouragement right now. She's already feels bad. And this is a situation
- 35:30where the daughter was in a bad car accident and the mother came to the
- 35:35hospital going off on her, and the doctor's like, why is you going
- 35:38off on her? She already been in a car accident and she lost her
- 35:42baby and we had to take one two from her. She's hurting. She
- 35:46don't need you to come in here. And she said why I didn't even
- 35:50know she was pregnant. And so Coffy has to go through life feeling like
- 35:58dad, my mom doesn't love me. You know, I'm doing the best
- 36:01I can. So you go through the journey of her life and you find
- 36:06out why she has low self esteem, and you find out why she did
- 36:10what she did because of her childhood and what she had to experience. Okay,
- 36:16that's beautiful, that is that is remarkable. I was wondering though at
- 36:22the does she recover and be have full self esteem and able and capable to
- 36:31have the life on its on terms. She us she gets closer to God,
- 36:38and she encouraged her children to get closer to God, and she builds
- 36:43their self esteem so they won't be like her. So God is good.
- 36:47God is good. I thank him. Thank you for your book, Thank
- 36:52you for everything that you're working on. And I also pray that God give
- 36:57you the wherewithal to get that Religi be done, because I'm going to be
- 37:01the first way to support. I thank God for your gift of writing,
- 37:07Thank God for your gifts in ministry, and I just praised God for you.
- 37:12And I would like you thank you, thank you so much for being
- 37:16here with me on Triggered Reactions Conquered with Lisa Hopkins. I'd like to thank
