Latest / onefjef / A Sick Anniversary
Transcript
- 0:00Hola, mis amigos y amigas.
- 0:03Hello, my friends.
- 0:05I'm releasing this on June 3rd of twenty twenty-six, and that is the first
- 0:12anniversary of onefjef, the podcast.
- 0:17For those of you who don't do math, the first episode came out
- 0:23on June 3rd, twenty twenty-five.
- 0:26And it's been quite a ride, both the podcast and my life since then.
- 0:32Those of you who listen to the podcast quite a bit will know all these stories.
- 0:35If you haven't listened to it all, you can go back and listen to, you know, the road
- 0:39trip, moving across the country, going to Colombia, all these different things.
- 0:43It's been a year, and, uh, perhaps it is appropriate, perhaps it's not
- 0:48appropriate for the year to be ending with me being sick here in Mexico City.
- 0:55I've been sick for about ten days.
- 0:56I got sick ten days ago, about.
- 1:01It was a chest cold, head cold at first.
- 1:04You know, it was, uh, last week mostly it was just this, like, coughing, sneezing,
- 1:08runny nose thing, and that was horrible.
- 1:11It was the hardest week I've had since I moved here, for sure.
- 1:15I had some of the, uh, darkest and loneliest times that I've had.
- 1:19The combination of being sick, feeling like crap, and not really being
- 1:23able to leave my apartment very much because I was sick, being away from
- 1:28most of my friends and family back in the United States, all these things.
- 1:34The isolation really was the, the overwhelming thing.
- 1:38There were times when I got to a point where I was like,
- 1:40"What, what am I doing here?
- 1:41What have I done?
- 1:42Why did I move here?" And I suppose that that kind of a
- 1:47moment is somewhat inevitable when you do something like that.
- 1:50Can you hear that?
- 1:51That's the, um, the workmen.
- 1:54They're remodeling the neighbor's apartment, which is convenient,
- 1:58conveniently, um, timed to overlap with my illness here.
- 2:04So apologies for the saw or whatever else you'll hear banging.
- 2:08It's been, it's been a lot.
- 2:11Anyway, so I had that chest cold last week, head cold.
- 2:14I was feeling much better over the weekend.
- 2:17Uh, I even went out with a friend of mine on Saturday night.
- 2:21But then on Sunday or Monday, I think it was Monday morning, I, I don't
- 2:28know when I ate whatever I ate, but I ate something over the weekend
- 2:30that did not agree with me, and I now have a stomach something or other.
- 2:36I don't need to get into details on that.
- 2:38You can use your imagination.
- 2:40It's not been horrible, but it's been certainly unpleasant
- 2:43in multiple different ways.
- 2:46That again, use your imagination.
- 2:49But knock on wood, I do feel like I'm finally at the end of this thing.
- 2:53But again, I've said this before, or I've thought this before.
- 2:57I've thought and said it before, not on here, but you know.
- 3:01So hopefully, God willing, this is the end of it because I am really
- 3:04tired of being in my apartment and I'm really tired of being sick.
- 3:09Uh, it's like when you get sick and you forget what it
- 3:11feels like to even not be sick.
- 3:13You've been sick so long.
- 3:15Oy.
- 3:23Another magical thing that happened last week was I went out with a friend
- 3:28of mine for coffee on Saturday morning And when I got back to my apartment
- 3:34from getting coffee, I actually ate a chocolate croissant at that coffee house.
- 3:40I wonder if that was what did it.
- 3:43I don't know.
- 3:44Anyway, when I got back from getting coffee with my friend, I walked into
- 3:48my apartment and, uh, I took my shoes off, and I was just walking around, and
- 3:53I was like, "Why are my socks all wet?"
- 3:55And then I looked around, and then I noticed, oh, the toilet had been
- 3:59overflowing since I had left, and there was, like, a quarter inch of water,
- 4:05however many centimeters that is for the rest of the world, all over my floor.
- 4:11I mean, not every floor.
- 4:12Thank-fortunately, it didn't come in the bedrooms, but it was in
- 4:14the bathroom, the living room.
- 4:16It was in the kitchen.
- 4:17Yeah, it was a mess.
- 4:19It was a mess, and I had no idea how to clean it up.
- 4:22I only had three towels.
- 4:23I still only have three towels.
- 4:25I actually have a few more towels now.
- 4:27I reached out to the, the owner of the apartment and said, "This
- 4:30is what happened," you know.
- 4:31And, you know, we're kind of communicating back and forth in
- 4:34broken Spanish, broken English, and I'm like, "I don't know what to do.
- 4:38Is there a mop?" And he's like, "There's no mop." And he sent me a picture of like,
- 4:44you can use this device, this, like, mop.
- 4:47I guess you could call it a-- I don't know what it is, one of those
- 4:50things that you s- push water with.
- 4:51Like when you wa- when you wash your car windows, it's not a squeegee.
- 4:54It's the other side of the squeegee, but it's on a stick, and it's long.
- 4:58I don't know what to call it.
- 5:00Anyway, he showed me a picture of that with a rag attached
- 5:02to it to make it into a mop.
- 5:04I didn't have really a rag either.
- 5:06I didn't have-- I, I had really no capacity to clean up this water.
- 5:11Fortunately, the floor is cement, so it really-- it wasn't gonna
- 5:14leak down to the floor below.
- 5:15I don't think it did anyway.
- 5:17So I reached out to Patricia, and she ordered me a mop and some, like, dish
- 5:25towel rag kind of things, and those showed up about thirty minutes later.
- 5:29And still though, I only had then, what, six towels at this point,
- 5:33maybe seven, which wasn't really enough to clean it all up with.
- 5:37So eventually I-- This is an exciting story, isn't it?
- 5:41I know.
- 5:42So eventually, I got one of these, uh, squeegee things and started to
- 5:45just pushed water and found a, um, a dustpan and started pushing the
- 5:50water in that with the squeegee thing and then dumping it into the shower,
- 5:53and that took-- it took a while.
- 5:56It took quite a while, like two or three hours.
- 6:00I mean, and, and of course, the, the-- I should have mentioned earlier, as
- 6:03soon as I got home and saw the toilet overflowing, I-- the first thing I did
- 6:06was stop the toilet from overflowing.
- 6:08So yeah, I mean, I, I took care of it, but boy, uh, unpleasant.
- 6:13Unpleasant.
- 6:13Not how I wanted to spend my Saturday afternoon, and another in a long line of
- 6:19me clogging toilets all over the world.
- 6:22This is probably the pinnacle, this one Of me clogging toilets.
- 6:26And now perhaps I'll actually be m- be more careful.
- 6:28I honestly don't know what happened.
- 6:29Like, the, the toilet, number one, is garbage.
- 6:32I don't wanna explain the mechanics of why it's garbage, but it's…
- 6:36doesn't have a solid flush on it.
- 6:38So it's not entirely my fault, it's partially the toilet's fault.
- 6:42But yeah, I am going to be more careful with the toilet from
- 6:46now on, because I don't want that to happen again, obviously.
- 6:52Anyway, it's taken care of now.
- 6:54I mean, maybe I got sick because I was, like, cleaning up toilet
- 6:57water all day on Saturday.
- 6:58I don't know.
- 7:00I don't know.
- 7:01It doesn't matter now anyway.
- 7:06And then that night, a friend of mine and I had bought tickets to see the
- 7:10new Jim Jarmusch film at the Cineteca here in Mexico City, which is this
- 7:17amazing movie theater that many people have said, "You should-- You gotta
- 7:21go to Cineteca. Go to Cineteca. It's amazing," blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 7:24So finally, we were going to Cineteca, and we got dinner, and then I told
- 7:29her the whole story about the toilet overflowing, and she said, "Oh, no."
- 7:33And then we walked to… They have these, uh… Mexico City, they have
- 7:37many kinds of public transport.
- 7:39They have subways and buses, of course, and Ubers and whatever.
- 7:42But then they also have, uh, cable cars, like, you know, gondola things,
- 7:45like, uh, at a theme park, right?
- 7:47They have three or four lines of this cable car thing.
- 7:51And it's wonderful.
- 7:52It's a wonderful way to get around because it's quiet.
- 7:55You get to see the whole city.
- 7:57It's awesome.
- 7:58And the cable car went right to the Cineteca.
- 8:02So we're like, "This is great. We can just take the cable car." And it was wonderful.
- 8:04There was a full moon.
- 8:06Very pretty.
- 8:07Took the cable car, got to Cineteca pretty early 'cause I wanted to
- 8:10wander around and we were going to…
- 8:13She wanted to get popcorn, so we're wandering around the Cineteca.
- 8:15And most of the-- It's an enormous space.
- 8:18It's huge.
- 8:19And most of the vendors, though, w- that sold food and all that
- 8:23were closed, so we had to wander around trying to find one of those.
- 8:24And that was w- And there weren't a lot of people there, which I was also puzzled
- 8:27about 'cause I was like, "This is a…
- 8:29You know, there's movies.
- 8:30Why are there's nobody?" So I thought, "Well, maybe they're all in the movie.
- 8:32Maybe they let the movies out at the same time.
- 8:34I don't know." So we wander around there for a while, and then finally
- 8:38we're like, "Oh, we should, uh, we should find our theater," you know.
- 8:42And so we finally ask somebody which theater our movie's in, and come to
- 8:48find out that we are in the wrong Cineteca, that there are in fact two
- 8:53Cinetecas in Mexico City, and the one we were in was not the correct one.
- 8:59Which made me kind of happy because, I mean, the Cineteca that we were in was
- 9:04beautiful and big and cool and everything, but, like, it was strange 'cause it
- 9:08wasn't like the pictures that I'd seen on, like, Google Maps or whatever.
- 9:12So… And it w- But it was dark, so I was like, "Oh, maybe it's just dark." No,
- 9:15it was the wrong, it was the wrong one.
- 9:16So what a hilarious misunderstanding.
- 9:19I mean, yeah.
- 9:21But it was still a fun night.
- 9:22Riding the cable car was fun and, and now I still have to look forward
- 9:27to going to the real Cineteca or the, the main Cineteca, the big one.
- 9:34Do have an announcement of sorts.
- 9:36Due to both my illness and my need for a bit of a respite from
- 9:44editing podcasts, I am, I'm taking a bit of a break with the podcast.
- 9:51I'm still going to release episodes every week, but they might just be short
- 9:55little things like this for a little bit.
- 9:57I'm currently, like, interviewing people, and I've got a bunch of interviews
- 10:01in the can for, you know, season two episodes, interviews and so forth, but
- 10:07it's a lot of work to edit these episodes and I've wanted to put a little b- bit
- 10:12more thought into how I'm gonna edit these interviews and so forth and so
- 10:18on before I just start releasing them.
- 10:19So I'm just taking a bit of a break, kind of a one-year anniversary break of sorts.
- 10:24But not really a break, 'cause I'm still gonna be releasing episodes
- 10:27every week, but the interviews will come back soon enough.
- 10:31Don't you worry.
- 10:32Don't you worry.
- 10:35So appreciate your understanding.
- 10:37Appreciate your continuing to listen to the podcast.
- 10:40Contin- appreciate your… Everybody, I appreciate everybody who's listened to
- 10:43the podcast over the last, the last year.
- 10:46Thank you for listening.
- 10:47Thank you for coming back.
- 10:49Most of all, thank you for supporting me on Patreon, those of you who
- 10:53are supporting me on Patreon.
- 10:55And if you aren't supporting me on Patreon, I can think of nothing better
- 10:59to give me for a one-year podcastiversary gift than to go on patreon.com/onefjef
- 11:07and sign up to support the podcast.
- 11:11For as little as $5 a month, that's a mere 100 pesos, give or take,
- 11:17you can help support the podcast.
- 11:19As I said, you can, you can get access to some early content, and you can feel
- 11:24like you are amongst the onefjef elite.
- 11:28Not the proletariat, the elite.
- 11:31And you can make me feel better in this time of feeling bad.
- 11:39Uh, so yes, go to patreon.com/onefjef and sign up.
- 11:46Please and thank you.
- 11:48And while I'm at it, why don't you go ahead and like, rate, subscribe,
- 11:51and review this podcast if you have a moment, when you have a moment.
- 11:56It doesn't take very long, and it really does help the algorithmical
- 12:00gods to put this podcast in the place where more people can find it.
- 12:09So yeah, like, rate, subscribe, review on whatever platform
- 12:12you happen to be listening on.
- 12:15And, um, God, I'm so tired.
- 12:19My brain isn't really working very well.
- 12:21I apologize
- 12:33I can't honestly believe that I've been making this podcast for a year.
- 12:39I couldn't believe it when I did five episodes.
- 12:42I couldn't believe it when I got to 10.
- 12:44Couldn't believe when I got to 20.
- 12:45You get, you get the pattern.
- 12:47But yeah, having done this for a year, and there's, like, more than
- 12:5050 episodes out there, I can't…
- 12:52Go me.
- 12:53So thank you for sticking with me if you've been there, and thank
- 12:56you for listening just right now if this is your first episode.
- 12:59I promise you that this is not, uh, typical of all the episodes.
- 13:03This is, uh, a bit of an anomaly because of the sickness and the,
- 13:08uh, sickness and the sickness.
- 13:12But if you are enjoying this, then by all means, please let me know.
- 13:17Send me an email at onefjefpod@gmail.com, or call me at 669-241-5882.
- 13:23That's 1-669-241-5882.
- 13:35Oh, that one was not good.
- 13:37It's hard to make a song out of a phone number, I've learned.
- 13:43Garfield 1-2323.
- 13:45I need something like that.
- 13:45Does anybody else remember that?
- 13:47Clevelanders?
- 13:47Is that only a Cleveland thing?
- 13:49It was a TV commercial back in the day.
- 13:51Garfield 1-2323.
- 13:53I don't even know what they did.
- 13:54Was it, like, siding?
- 13:55I think it was siding, right?
- 13:57But that's, like, probably 40 years ago now.
- 13:59Garfield 1-2323.
- 14:01Now you're gonna just… Now you're gonna call Garfield 1-2323 and try
- 14:04to get in touch with the podcast.
- 14:05How do you call Garfield, I wonder?
- 14:07I think it wouldn't work anymore.
- 14:10Garfield, G-A-R-F-I-E-L-D.
- 14:15No, that's too many numbers.
- 14:16Garfield 1-2323.
- 14:18G-A-R-F-I-E-L-D 1-2323.
- 14:23Yeah, that doesn't work at all.
- 14:24I never really thought about that, but that was the phone
- 14:26number that they would advertise.
- 14:29If anybody has any information about this, I would love to hear it.
- 14:32Garfield 1-2323.
- 14:33How was one supposed to call that?
- 14:35Perhaps the business didn't do well.
- 14:37Garfield 1-
- 14:40So most phone numbers are like one, two, three, four, five,
- 14:43six, seven, eight, nine, 10
- 14:46No, it still doesn't work.
- 14:48Too many numbers.
- 14:49Maybe the extra numbers don't matter.
- 14:51I don't know.
- 14:55Yeah, just gonna keep talking about old Cleveland, Ohio television
- 15:00advertisements with memorable jingles.
- 15:02That's what this podcast is gonna be now.
- 15:04It's about old Cleveland, Ohio commercial jingles that we can remember.
- 15:08Garfield one.
- 15:09That-- Do I-- That's, that's an earworm though.
- 15:10I mean, if you're from Cleveland and you don't remember Garfield
- 15:13one, two, three, two, three, if you're of a certain age, then, uh,
- 15:17email me at onefjefpod@gmail.com, and we'll talk about it.
- 15:20No, don't email me with that.
- 15:21No, do.
- 15:22I mean, I'm not gonna tell you not to email me.
- 15:24Why would I do that?
- 15:25You know what else you should do?
- 15:25You should follow the podcast at onefjefpod on Instagram, also on
- 15:30Facebook, I think it's onefjefpod, and then on TikTok at onefjefpodcast.
- 15:35You have to add the cast on that one because onefjefpod had been taken By whom?
- 15:42I don't know.
- 15:43I should check, and then I should harass them until they
- 15:44give me the onefjef pod name.
- 15:48But until then, TikTok onefjefpodcast.
- 15:51That's not the number one.
- 15:52It's O-N-E-F-J-E-F-P-O-D or P-O-D-C-A-S-T.
- 15:57You understand.
- 15:58I was putting videos on there, like, every day as kind of a auxiliary
- 16:04content for the podcast or, I don't know, just for shits and giggles,
- 16:09and I haven't done it for a few days.
- 16:10I should probably do one today or tomorrow to promote this magical episode.
- 16:15But yeah, doing some fun stuff on there.
- 16:17People seem to like it, getting a lot of views.
- 16:19So I don't know.
- 16:21If you wanna see what I look like, do that.
- 16:23Go to those places.
- 16:24And if you've ever been curious to see, uh, my, my work, like my
- 16:28professional video and film work, you can actually go to my website at
- 16:33onefjef.com, where you can see all the films and stuff that I've made.
- 16:39And if you like what you see and you need some video work, you can hire me.
- 16:43So that's exciting for you.
- 16:45It's exciting for me too, depending on what you're trying to sell or
- 16:48what kind of video you wanna make.
- 16:51I, uh, got a job offer before I left for Mexico City for a job doing marketing
- 16:57for a hair loss product company.
- 17:01Hair loss company product.
- 17:02No, whatever.
- 17:03I-- Word order is getting all weird in my head because I'm learning
- 17:06Spanish, and I'm spending so much time learning Spanish, and word order
- 17:10gets all mixed up there compared to the English, so you understand.
- 17:15Anyway, yeah, hair loss company selling hair loss products.
- 17:19And, you know, it was a really good offer, but I, I just, I just couldn't do it.
- 17:25I just couldn't do it.
- 17:27And they r- he really wanted me, the guy.
- 17:28He really wanted to hire me.
- 17:30But I, I, I, I imagined myself editing videos for Instagram and
- 17:39TikTok and whatever, selling hair loss products for the next however
- 17:42long, and it, and it gave me chills.
- 17:44And I apologize to those of you who may be owners of hair loss companies.
- 17:48I'm not trying to, um, diss any.
- 17:52N-no shame in selling hair loss products.
- 17:54Um, it's a real thing.
- 17:57But I couldn't.
- 17:59It's not for me to, to, to market those.
- 18:02It's not, that's not a me thing.
- 18:04That's, that's somebody else thing.
- 18:05And I'm not sure that there'd be like, you know, I could go way outside of
- 18:08the box and make something crazy.
- 18:09I'm gonna break the, break new ground in hair loss advertising, whatever.
- 18:15I actually tried hair loss product.
- 18:17Was it Rogaine?
- 18:19I tried that, uh, years ago when I lived in New York 'cause, you know, I've been
- 18:24slowly losing my hair for many years.
- 18:27So I thought, "Well, let me see if I can slow the loss here." So I bought
- 18:30some Rogaine, and it was this kind of f- like, put it on your scalp.
- 18:34You know, of course you put it on your scalp.
- 18:35But I… Well, now they've got, like, pills and everything, but back then it
- 18:38was just this… And it burned my scalp.
- 18:41It, like, was very uncomfortable.
- 18:43So I did it two or three times, but, like, after I put it on, you have to leave it
- 18:46on, and my scalp would just be burning.
- 18:50And I thought, "This is not worth it for me." You know, I do want more hair, right?
- 18:55I want the hair loss to stop, but I don't wanna sit here with a burning
- 18:59scalp for an hour every day or twice a day, I think it was even.
- 19:03I don't remember.
- 19:04No.
- 19:05So the hair has continued to lose, to go.
- 19:10Boy, I'm having trouble with words today.
- 19:12The hair has continued to go, but, uh, I still got some, and
- 19:16I'm 52, so that's exciting for me.
- 19:20My father, like, just had the ring, you know?
- 19:23I can't remember my dad not having the, you know, the ring
- 19:26bald spot scenario, you know?
- 19:29If that happened to me, I would just shave it all off.
- 19:31But my dad, God bless him, he, he stuck with it.
- 19:34He didn't really do a comb-over either.
- 19:35A lot of people do a comb-over in response to the ring.
- 19:38What… Is there any other name for that?
- 19:39The ring, you know what I'm talking about.
- 19:41You don't see it as often anymore.
- 19:42People seem to just, like, shave all their hair off if that happens.
- 19:46But back in the day, people would, people would rock that.
- 19:51They say that hair loss comes from your mom's side, so I guess that's lucky for
- 19:58me because I don't… The ring, the rim.
- 20:03The rim or the ring?
- 20:04Whatever
- 20:07This is the kind of podcast content you guys are looking for.
- 20:09This is, um, but the problem is I, I would talk about Mexico City and, and
- 20:14my experience in Mexico, but I've been sick, so I haven't really had many, so I
- 20:19can't really-- There's not a lot to share.
- 20:22I, I did write something down, though.
- 20:23Hold on.
- 20:23Let me see.
- 20:25I wrote a note.
- 20:26Oh, all right.
- 20:27Here's one.
- 20:28Uh, maybe a lot of you know this already, but, uh, another charming
- 20:31thing about Mexico City and Mexico in general, probably Latin America
- 20:36maybe, but you'll be sitting in a restaurant eating, and a stranger
- 20:40will walk by and just say, "Provecho.
- 20:44Provecho," which means, like, bon appetit, have a good meal.
- 20:48But strangers say it to strangers.
- 20:50In the United States, I've never said, you know, "Have a good meal" or "Bon
- 20:53appetit" to a stranger, never, nor have I had a stranger say it to me, except when
- 20:58you're, like, a waiter in a restaurant, yes, of course, but it's different.
- 21:02This is just some random person who maybe finished their dinner or just got
- 21:05into the restaurant just walking by, "Provecho." That's wonderful, right?
- 21:10How wonderful is that?
- 21:13I love it.
- 21:13And also, when we were at the movie theater on Saturday, and after we asked
- 21:18them about where our theater was and found out that we were at the wrong theater and
- 21:22walked away, about five minutes later, the woman who we'd asked ran up to us and
- 21:26was like, "Hey, hey, hey, there's a…"
- 21:28In Spanish, so.
- 21:29But, "There's an- another movie playing in th- in this theater at that time
- 21:34if you wanna see that." And we were like, "Is it in Spanish?" And they
- 21:40were like, "Yes." And we were like, "Yeah, no, we can't, we can't really do
- 21:44that." There's no subtitles, of course.
- 21:46But it was very kind.
- 21:46Like, they went out of their way.
- 21:47It's a huge theater.
- 21:48They ran all-- Probably looked all over the place for us to find us.
- 21:51I also bought some M&M's at the theater, and the, you know, in pretty much every
- 21:56other country but the United States, when you go to the movie theater,
- 21:59like, if you buy a small soda at the movie theater in the United States,
- 22:02you're getting what would be probably bigger than a large soda in almost
- 22:06every other country in the world.
- 22:08It's, it's just a lot of fluid.
- 22:12And, like, I think the large is probably, like, a liter.
- 22:14It has to be, like, a liter of soda.
- 22:16It's absurd.
- 22:17It's insane.
- 22:18And, like, at the, you know, the, the baseball games and so forth,
- 22:23y- you ask yourself why America has an obesity epidemic.
- 22:27There are answers right in front of us all over the place.
- 22:31You know, you go to McDonald's, you can, like… Even the small at
- 22:34McDonald's is pretty big, and you can upsize the thing to get, like, a bucket
- 22:37of-- You can get, like, a bucket of soda if you really want, I imagine.
- 22:41Why don't they just start putting all the food and the soda in a, just a
- 22:44bucket and handing it to you, and you can just eat like a pig at a trough?
- 22:48Hooray, America.
- 22:49That's not happening, but it, it's not far away.
- 22:53It's not far.
- 22:54They're about to have a UFC fight on the front lawn of the White House.
- 22:57Buckets of food mixed together with a, just eating with your mouth.
- 23:01It's not, not far away.
- 23:03But I digress.
- 23:04Um, so I bought M&M's at the movie theater, and, uh, you know, normally I
- 23:09don't mind the size differences with, you know, snack foods and beverages here.
- 23:15Normally, I kind of quite like it.
- 23:16But in the case of the M&M's, there were l- literally, like,
- 23:19ten M&M's in this bag of M&M's.
- 23:21Ten, maybe 12.
- 23:23It was not a large… And it was just, like, w- what are, what are we doing?
- 23:28Maybe it's a movie theater thing.
- 23:30In the United States, in movie theaters, you know, all the candy
- 23:33and stuff is always in different kind of containers than they come
- 23:36out in the non-theater world.
- 23:39So maybe there's a smaller bag of M&M's.
- 23:41I don't understand, but it was a very small bag of M&M's.
- 23:44Maybe that's what made me sick.
- 23:46Maybe it was the M&M's.
- 23:48No, I'll never blame M&M's for getting me sick.
- 23:51I can't do that.
- 23:53I can't do it.
- 23:54Something I've also learned from being sick is that Ritz crackers,
- 23:58very inexpensive here in Mexico City.
- 23:59I got four sleeves of Ritz crackers for about a dollar, $1.50.
- 24:04That's a solid deal.
- 24:06Ritz is a good cracker.
- 24:08It's one of my favorites.
- 24:09I like the, uh, Triscuits.
- 24:12Those are good.
- 24:13Buttery.
- 24:14Yeah.
- 24:14And then there's the Club cracker, which is the long one, not necessarily
- 24:18a saltine, but a Club cracker.
- 24:21Of course, you can only get those if you're in the club.
- 24:26All right, enough of this nonsense.
- 24:27I really appreciate you listening this far.
- 24:30I appreciate all of you, each and every one of you, for listening to
- 24:34the podcast, for letting me into your ear holes every week for the
- 24:39last year, or maybe just twice.
- 24:41I don't know.
- 24:42But I really do appreciate you.
- 24:44You…
- 24:47You're good people.
- 24:48You are.
- 24:50You're good people.
- 24:51We're all good people.
- 24:53And I'm gonna wrap this magical sick anniversary episode up with a quote from
- 25:00the late great comedian Mitch Hedberg.
- 25:04"I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just gonna ask them where they're
- 25:07going and hook up with them later."
- 25:11I'll see you next week.
- 25:12Very good, Jeffrey
