- 0:01Speaker 1: Let's get back to the Mark Simone show.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I w r.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Hey, let's take some calls eight hundred three to two
- 0:09Speaker 3: one zero seven tennis and Peter, Peter and Harlem. He's
- 0:14Speaker 3: always angry about something, Peter, what's going on?
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm not angry.
- 0:17Speaker 3: They're always angry about something.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Wait, let me say something. Number One, you didn't tell
- 0:23Speaker 1: the audience are two questions are a hang up, you
- 0:25Speaker 1: didn't tell the audience who's written those expensive apartments and
- 0:29Speaker 1: the fact that they might even be red Chinese or
- 0:32Speaker 1: our enemy. Secondly, well, we got to.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Go super super luxury apartments in New York very often
- 0:42Speaker 3: are a lot of Chinese people, a lot of Arab
- 0:46Speaker 3: you know people, a lot of the Middle Eastern people,
- 0:48Speaker 3: a lot of Russians. One of the reasons is, especially
- 0:51Speaker 3: China and those places, they don't trust their own government,
- 0:55Speaker 3: and they got to park money somewhere just in case
- 0:57Speaker 3: they have to flee, so they'll buy like a one
- 1:02Speaker 3: hundred million dollar apartment in New York. That way, they
- 1:04Speaker 3: got an asset. It's there. You know, if they have
- 1:06Speaker 3: to leave China, they can sell it. And you know,
- 1:11Speaker 3: they bought up all the apartments in New York that way,
- 1:14Speaker 3: and then they ran the apartments to buy. That's one
- 1:17Speaker 3: reason you cannot buy a rolex right now. If a
- 1:20Speaker 3: certain watches Paddock Philippe and a Rolex, there's like a
- 1:23Speaker 3: three year waiting list because a lot of the same
- 1:25Speaker 3: people they had to park their assets somewhere, so they
- 1:28Speaker 3: start buying up every watch in the world too. That's
- 1:31Speaker 3: why there's a massive waiting list. Let's go to Phyllis
- 1:34Speaker 3: in Brooklyn, Phillis.
- 1:35Speaker 4: How you doing all right, good morning. I was just
- 1:39Speaker 4: wondering the conversation you had with saund yesterday. Yeah, you
- 1:44Speaker 4: know about the documentary that this Sinatra Enterprise is was preparing.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I believe you were part of it.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Now, Oh you're talking about it's actually Fox News or
- 1:53Speaker 3: Fox Nation. It's a big, massive Sinatra documentary. They interviewed
- 1:57Speaker 3: everybody in the world. Yeah, I'm on it. Two have
- 1:59Speaker 3: you seen? Do you know where it is?
- 2:01Speaker 2: No?
- 2:01Speaker 4: I don't. That's why I'm calling.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Well, I remember when I did it. I said once
- 2:06Speaker 3: it's coming out, and they said in the fall, I
- 2:07Speaker 3: don't think it's out yet, but it's coming soon.
- 2:10Speaker 4: And it's not out yet.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It's coming out, but it's at these guys that did
- 2:17Speaker 3: this documentary. They were younger guys, but they really knew
- 2:21Speaker 3: what they were doing. And I know they went to
- 2:24Speaker 3: Patsy's and interviewed everybody there, and they interviewed me for
- 2:28Speaker 3: like three hours, and they were I was telling them
- 2:31Speaker 3: everybody who would know everything about Sinatra's, giving them all
- 2:34Speaker 3: the names to interview. Every time I mentioned anybody that
- 2:36Speaker 3: we already did them. We already did them. We just
- 2:38Speaker 3: got done. So they interviewed everybody. They were very thorough.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Big Sinatra documentary. I don't know if it's Fox News
- 2:44Speaker 3: or Fox Nation, but it'll be coming out soon. Let's
- 2:48Speaker 3: go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yes, Mike, it's not Your things should be great.
- 2:56Speaker 3: You know.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Thomas soul, the famous economist, one said affordable housing is
- 3:01Speaker 2: housing you can afford. And it sounds kind of flippant,
- 3:04Speaker 2: but that's the truth. I mean, nobody could afford to
- 3:07Speaker 2: live in Manhattan, you know, or any big city. It's
- 3:10Speaker 2: expensive to live there. And I think it's great that
- 3:13Speaker 2: the president is out making his case, but where are
- 3:16Speaker 2: the other Republicans? You know, what are those months?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Why aren't they speaking up?
- 3:19Speaker 2: I mean Trump speaks every day to the media and
- 3:22Speaker 2: makes his case every day for hours on end. You know,
- 3:25Speaker 2: every every new you know, every every day I see
- 3:28Speaker 2: another news conference fromthing from the office there, and you know,
- 3:31Speaker 2: where are the other Republicans out there?
- 3:34Speaker 3: Yeah, well it's Trump is right about the hoax. He
- 3:37Speaker 3: doesn't explain it that well. But the whole thing is
- 3:41Speaker 3: especially affordable housing. You know, there's places where you're not
- 3:43Speaker 3: gonna have affordable housing because they're very wealthy areas. And
- 3:49Speaker 3: you can yell and scream. You know, if you went
- 3:51Speaker 3: to Southampton right on the water on on what's that
- 3:56Speaker 3: the lane there, whatever, lane, metal lane, further lane, whatever
- 4:00Speaker 3: it is right on the water in Southampton, every house
- 4:03Speaker 3: is like eighty million dollars. You could stand there and say,
- 4:07Speaker 3: why isn't there affordable housing because it's not supposed to be.
- 4:11Speaker 3: If you go to the next town up, if you
- 4:13Speaker 3: go to Riverhead, there's plenty of affordable housing. It just
- 4:16Speaker 3: there's very, very very expensive neighborhoods. There's very poor neighborhoods,
- 4:21Speaker 3: and there's everything in between. Speaking of the Hampton, there's
- 4:24Speaker 3: an affordable housing crisis fight out. I'll tell you about
- 4:27Speaker 3: this the next hour. It's a good illustration. But if
- 4:29Speaker 3: you go to Long Island, you go anywhere in Long Island,
- 4:32Speaker 3: you go to Garden City, it's it's expensive. They don't
- 4:36Speaker 3: have any affordable housing. But they don't need to because
- 4:39Speaker 3: you go ten blocks that way, you're in Hampstead and
- 4:41Speaker 3: there's plenty of affordable housing. You're not supposed to have
- 4:44Speaker 3: affordable housing everywhere. It's okay to have a wealthy neighborhood,
- 4:48Speaker 3: a middle class neighborhood, a poorer neighbor It happens. So
- 4:52Speaker 3: we'll get into this in the next hour when we
- 4:53Speaker 3: come back. Our old buddy, Monica Crowley, now the Chief
- 4:58Speaker 3: Protocol Officer of the United States. We'll talk to her
- 5:01Speaker 3: next on seven ten wor
