- 0:41Speaker 2: Well, you should have gone all out and you got him.

- 0:53Speaker 2: Is this the beginning of you becoming a theater mom?
- 0:56Speaker 3: I don't know if he's going to stick with it.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I have to be honest, really, yeah, yeah, really, I
- 1:00Speaker 3: think this is thing for now, but it just gets
- 1:02Speaker 3: tougher and tougher and more time consuming as you get
- 1:04Speaker 3: older with middle school than in high school. Theater.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I know because I did it, and I know you know. Yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 2: you're making me think back to when I was a
- 1:12Speaker 2: kid now. I mean that requires a lot of mom time,
- 1:15Speaker 2: rushing to and free.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I don't mind doing it. I just don't know he's
- 1:19Speaker 3: going to do it. Yeah, I have to do it.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It does take a commitment, you know. Sometimes you have
- 1:25Speaker 2: to find a way to you know, kick your own
- 1:28Speaker 2: booty to keep yourself moving. And yeah, that doesn't always
- 1:31Speaker 2: work out so well when you're going through those formerable years.
- 1:34Speaker 2: But that's called discovering who you are, that's right. So
- 1:36Speaker 2: why are you Why are you feeling good today? Feeling
- 1:38Speaker 2: good today because I watched Star Wars, the last two
- 1:44Speaker 2: movies of the prequel whatever era. I just had the
- 1:49Speaker 2: time over the last couple of afternoons to randomly just
- 1:53Speaker 2: watch them, and I hadn't watched him in a minute,
- 1:55Speaker 2: and it just just brought me joy to sit back
- 1:58Speaker 2: and just do nothing but enjoy the filmmaking. You know,
- 2:03Speaker 2: I mean, these things they don't always happen in life.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And when you get the chance to stop and smell
- 2:09Speaker 2: the roses, as faire As Muehler would say, you know,
- 2:12Speaker 2: you don't miss what's going on, and that's a good thing.

- 2:46Speaker 3: sharply lower yesterday. It came after the Federal Reserve announced

- 3:22Speaker 3: the second similar encounter with that same suspect. Since last May,
- 3:28Speaker 3: a House Oversight Committee panel has now advanced a bill
- 3:31Speaker 3: that would eliminate DC's traffic camera system. The measure, though
- 3:35Speaker 3: still faces additional hurdles before it could become law. Neighbors
- 3:40Speaker 3: in DC pushing to keep parts of Meridian Hill Park,
- 3:43Speaker 3: also known as Malcolm X Park open during planned restoration work.

- 4:59Speaker 3: to think about as you take on the rest of
- 5:01Speaker 3: your day and today.
- 5:02Speaker 2: It comes from Scott Adams who says, and listen to this.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing
- 5:11Speaker 2: which ones to keep. Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Art is knowing which ones to keep. So I think
- 5:21Speaker 2: this is an important reminder for you and I to
- 5:25Speaker 2: remember that failure is often the sketch, the rough draft,
- 5:30Speaker 2: if you will, before the masterpiece, and mistakes are a
- 5:34Speaker 2: part of that process. So if you're going to create
- 5:37Speaker 2: today or this week, but the time we have left
- 5:40Speaker 2: this week, allow those mistakes to happen. Don't be upset
- 5:44Speaker 2: about them. They're part of the process that ultimately becomes
- 5:48Speaker 2: a masterpiece. Just make sure you know which ones to keep.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Scott Adams with some words to remember your morning mindset
- 5:54Speaker 2: for this Thursday. Need it again? Find it install, search

- 6:13Speaker 2: as Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Continues, maybe you're having cereal for breakfast this morning. If so,
- 6:19Speaker 3: we're going to share the top selling breakfast cereals in
- 6:22Speaker 3: the US. And does anybody even eat cereal as an adult?
- 6:26Speaker 5: Yes?
- 6:27Speaker 2: Okay eight six six three sixty one if you eat
- 6:30Speaker 2: cereal two. If not, stick around, you've got to hear this.
- 6:34Speaker 2: It's coming up. Let's talk about breakfast and cereal. There's
- 6:39Speaker 2: a poll out that has some interesting information for cereal
- 6:43Speaker 2: eaters of all ages that you might need to know
- 6:46Speaker 2: about Toby and Chilly in the Morning on ninety seven
- 6:48Speaker 2: point one wash FM.
- 6:49Speaker 3: So, these are the top selling breakfast cereals in the US.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Number one frosted flakes, than honeynut cheerios, then fruit loops,
- 6:56Speaker 3: then cinnamon toast crunch, then special K Does that surprise you,
- 7:00Speaker 3: because I know you're a cereal person.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I do. I like a cinnamon toast crunch is currently
- 7:04Speaker 2: my number one, followed by fruit loops.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Okay, well, so frosted flakes, though, is the best, the
- 7:10Speaker 3: top selling in the US.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I'm not exactly sure how I feel about the frosted flakes.
- 7:15Speaker 2: When the milk get into those flakes, they get a
- 7:17Speaker 2: little too soggy, and that's kind of a thing for me.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I think it's kind of funny that you still do
- 7:23Speaker 2: the cereal thing. You don't eat cereal.
- 7:24Speaker 3: We're not really a cereal household, and when we do
- 7:28Speaker 3: have cereal, my husband prefers the honeynut cheerios as well.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Okay, your husband and I would get along fine. The
- 7:34Speaker 2: honey nut cheerios are great. You put some banana in
- 7:37Speaker 2: there too, if you want. I will say.
- 7:39Speaker 3: The irony here is when I was a kid and
- 7:41Speaker 3: my mom wouldn't get us the kind of cereals that
- 7:43Speaker 3: we wanted. I was like, I can't wait to be
- 7:45Speaker 3: grown up so I could buy whichever cereal I want.
- 7:48Speaker 2: And I still don't you know what I mean that, Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I don't understand that. I mean, you know, conversely, I
- 7:55Speaker 2: think that That's part of the reason why I rage
- 7:57Speaker 2: against the machine. Mom didn't let the four of us,
- 8:00Speaker 2: my brother Todd, the twins, Zachary and Zeke. They didn't
- 8:02Speaker 2: We didn't get to have some of these cereals. Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 2: but now I'm grown, that's right. And if I walk
- 8:07Speaker 2: down the cereal aisle and I see marshmallow edition of
- 8:11Speaker 2: fruit Loops, you know, new, and try this, I'm like
- 8:14Speaker 2: twist my arm. But anyway, you're making up for lost opportunity,
- 8:18Speaker 2: that's right, and lost time because there's no time like
- 8:21Speaker 2: the president to try a new cereal. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 8:23Speaker 2: oh my god, do you consider yourself to be a
- 8:27Speaker 2: Cereal fan? What's your cereal? Tell us everything? Eight sixty six,
- 8:32Speaker 2: nine two, seven forty three sixty one, or do you
- 8:34Speaker 2: think it's ridiculous that as an adult some of us
- 8:37Speaker 2: still consume the cereal? Talk back microphone works too, Speak out,
- 8:41Speaker 2: always listening. Love when you interact with Toby and Chile
- 8:44Speaker 2: in the morning, and stay right there because next.

- 10:16Speaker 3: person was injured, but the motive remains under investigation. A
- 10:21Speaker 3: DC man who coordinated seven inside job robberies at a
- 10:24Speaker 3: Chinatown Walgreens was sentenced to more than ten years behind bars.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Prosecutors say twenty eight year old Johnny Robinson helped plan
- 10:32Speaker 3: the scheme, linking store insiders with a masked gunman and
- 10:36Speaker 3: organizing the theft of nearly twenty nine thousand dollars. A
- 10:40Speaker 3: House committee is advancing a bill that would eliminate all
- 10:43Speaker 3: traffic cameras in DC, including speed and red light cameras.
- 10:48Speaker 3: If passed, it would end automated enforcement citywide, sparking debate
- 10:53Speaker 3: over public safety and lost revenue. Well scammers apparently are
- 10:57Speaker 3: now exploiting fears around us, with a Loud and County

- 11:22Speaker 3: top the list of most admired women, followed by grandmothers,
- 11:27Speaker 3: friends and sisters. Forecast today partly sunny skies, highs in

- 11:34Speaker 2: Tell at least five friends you get your news with
- 11:36Speaker 2: Toby and Tilly sob Stories ninety seven point one wash FM,
- 11:40Speaker 2: where in minutes we're going to talk about the things
- 11:43Speaker 2: little kids notice. They noticed this without the adults in
- 11:46Speaker 2: their lives realizing that they've noticed. So the question what
- 11:51Speaker 2: behaviors do you try to display more often so that
- 11:55Speaker 2: you can instill these behaviors into your kids? Eight six
- 12:01Speaker 2: six ninety seven forty three sixty one is the number
- 12:04Speaker 2: we'll get into this coming up next. Stay with us.
- 12:07Speaker 2: That's say saying kids say the darnedas things, Well, kids
- 12:10Speaker 2: notice the darnedest things. Toby and Chilly in the Morning,
- 12:13Speaker 2: ninety seven point one wash FM. Did you see this
- 12:17Speaker 2: list floating around the Internet of things?
- 12:19Speaker 3: Y'ah who had this really great article about the things
- 12:22Speaker 3: or little details that kids notice. In the top five,
- 12:25Speaker 3: the tone of voice of an adult. They're facial expressions,
- 12:29Speaker 3: body language, emotional reactions, and number five, consistency between your
- 12:34Speaker 3: words and ACTIONSO.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, boy, if kids are noticing all of that, Okay,
- 12:40Speaker 2: now that I'm starting to shudder, chilly, tell me on
- 12:43Speaker 2: that list. Yes, what is something that you hope your
- 12:48Speaker 2: sun Donado notices.
- 12:50Speaker 3: We are very intentional, my husband and I with our
- 12:53Speaker 3: emotional reactions because my neurodivergent son struggles with emotional regulations,
- 13:00Speaker 3: very disregulated. When he gets upset, it goes to a tent.
- 13:03Speaker 3: So we try to lead by example, like when we
- 13:06Speaker 3: get frustrated or when we're feeling angry, we don't throw things,
- 13:10Speaker 3: break things, scream and all this other stuff. Right, so
- 13:12Speaker 3: we're hoping that he learns how to actually react appropriately.
- 13:17Speaker 2: It's not always easy, but that is the truth.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Well, your daughter is older, Yeah, what is something that
- 13:23Speaker 3: you consciously have done or continue to do because you
- 13:26Speaker 3: know she's quote unquote watching.
- 13:28Speaker 2: It's not on this list, but I hope that my
- 13:30Speaker 2: daughter notices that her mom and I we co parent
- 13:34Speaker 2: in a non traditional sort of way. We've always been
- 13:37Speaker 2: together for our kid, so very si she you know,
- 13:41Speaker 2: and her mom is like a best friend. She is
- 13:44Speaker 2: in that inner circle. Sometimes it's tough on relationships. But
- 13:47Speaker 2: you know what, she's my daughter's mom, and I hope
- 13:50Speaker 2: that my daughter sees that and expects that, because if
- 13:54Speaker 2: something happens similar and she gets into a relationship with
- 13:57Speaker 2: somebody and it doesn't work out and they have a
- 13:59Speaker 2: kid involved, I hope she realizes that there is a
- 14:02Speaker 2: right way and a wrong way to expect to be treated. Yeah.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I think that's a great example it hope. So eight
- 14:08Speaker 2: sixty six ninet two, seven forty three sixty one, that's
- 14:10Speaker 2: the number. Give us a call. So what do you
- 14:13Speaker 2: hope your kid notices one of those little details? And hey,
- 14:16Speaker 2: if you want to throw in, what but you hope
- 14:18Speaker 2: your kid doesn't notice because that might just be funny.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Call Now, join the conversation. It continues next, kids notice
- 14:26Speaker 2: these little details. It's ninety seven point one. Watch FM
- 14:29Speaker 2: Toby and Chilly in the morning. A little bit ago Chili.
- 14:32Speaker 2: You shared with us some highlights from this list.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Yeah, about what kids notice from adults, like your tone
- 14:37Speaker 3: of voice, how conflicts are resolved, levels of honesty, transparency.
- 14:42Speaker 3: That's just to name a few.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Sure, And so we were wondering and We would love
- 14:47Speaker 2: for you to call and tell us at eight sixty
- 14:48Speaker 2: six nine two seven forty three sixty one. What is
- 14:51Speaker 2: it that you do? What behaviors do you try to
- 14:53Speaker 2: exhibit more often so that your kids will notice and
- 14:56Speaker 2: hopefully it'll take hold. You know that you're trying to
- 15:00Speaker 2: dialing your kids. James, Good morning in Dulles. What you do?
- 15:04Speaker 6: I always show my three boys that they need to
- 15:06Speaker 6: be super respectful to women. You have to be an
- 15:09Speaker 6: absolute gentleman in every way. I mean, that's something I
- 15:12Speaker 6: want them to practice throughout their whole lives. And if
- 15:15Speaker 6: they learn nothing else from me, let that be it.
- 15:17Speaker 3: James, I really applaud you for that, because one thing
- 15:20Speaker 3: I definitely paid attention to when I was dating my
- 15:22Speaker 3: husband is how he spoke and treated his mother.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Mmm, very good, Thank you, James. Let's pop over to Georgetown. Rachel,
- 15:29Speaker 2: good morning, and thanks for listening to us. What do
- 15:32Speaker 2: you hope that your kids notice?
- 15:35Speaker 5: I make a big show of apologizing when I mess up,
- 15:38Speaker 5: Like I'll literally say, mommy was wrong and I'm sorry.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Is that tough to do?
- 15:43Speaker 5: It feels a natural at first, because you know ego,
- 15:46Speaker 5: But now my six year old apologizes without being forced,
- 15:50Speaker 5: and that alone is totally worth it.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Thanks for jumping in, Rachel, You've just proved once again
- 15:55Speaker 2: that it's never too late to apologize, at least in

- 22:20Speaker 3: see this all the time.
- 22:22Speaker 2: For you, You're like, I don't even know. It's not
- 22:24Speaker 2: my job. I don't know you, and I'm feeling very
- 22:29Speaker 2: concerned and vulnerable and vulnerable and confused and maybe even
- 22:33Speaker 2: under endowed. I don't know what you're thinking, but this
- 22:37Speaker 2: is making me very nervous. Awkward is just the tip
