- 0:00Speaker 1: Woo!
- 0:01Speaker 2: Stu Gatz.
- 0:01Speaker 1: Woo!
- 0:02Speaker 3: I got to be honest with you, Bruce, there's a
- 0:03Speaker 3: good chance I'd be high anyway. Woo!
- 0:05Speaker 4: And I'm wondering how the football weekend was. Were you
- 0:07Speaker 4: able to watch it?
- 0:08Speaker 3: Wow, what happened? Oh, I'm tired of him. I'm serious.
- 0:13Speaker 4: How about that?
- 0:14Speaker 2: In company. We are mother shuckers, baby.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Woo!
- 0:17Speaker 1: Bruce, does Faison Brandon's name sound like it's on backwards?
- 0:20Speaker 3: No doubt.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It's time to get your.
- 0:23Speaker 1: It's time to get your financials. To get the all boat.
- 0:28Speaker 3: You got nothing right there.
- 0:29Speaker 1: This is not going well.
- 0:31Speaker 2: This is Stu Gotts and Company.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Stu, back to you. Taylor, put this on the poll, please.
- 0:37Speaker 3: That's to get 790 on X. Does Nick Sirianni have
- 0:41Speaker 3: to send Dan Quinn some flowers? You should. It's how
- 0:46Speaker 3: Mikey greeted me this morning. Not with flowers would that take,
- 0:50Speaker 3: by the way. You want flowers?
- 0:54Speaker 4: I'd like flowers occasionally. I love a good flower.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I do. I mean, some of you, you know. Tulips.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Listen, Nick Sirianni was the story of the day.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:05Speaker 2: For three hours.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yes, he was.
- 1:07Speaker 2: And then Dan Quinn was like, no, I got you, bud.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Don't worry about it.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:11Speaker 3: We are coming off a weekend. We'll get to the
- 1:12Speaker 3: weekend observations here in just a few minutes. But we
- 1:17Speaker 3: are coming off a weekend where I think we possibly
- 1:19Speaker 3: had four or five games of the year within one
- 1:23Speaker 3: weekend when you consider what happened in both college and
- 1:26Speaker 3: the NFL. Taylor thinks coaches don't know anything, and I'm
- 1:30Speaker 3: not certain he's wrong. I mean, go ahead, Taylor.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You can make the argument that the NFC East had
- 1:36Speaker 1: the worst seven days division in the NFL ever had,
- 1:39Speaker 1: where the Cowboys lose to an undrafted rookie on Thursday
- 1:44Speaker 1: night football. They get embarrassed. Then you go over to Eagles, Jaguars.
- 1:48Speaker 1: The Eagles get embarrassed with that late clock management by Sirianni.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And then the one matchup where you're thinking, okay, somebody
- 1:56Speaker 1: has to get a win here. It's Giants and Commanders.
- 1:58Speaker 1: At the very least, the NFC East finishes the week
- 2:01Speaker 1: one and three. And it's like, nope, these two teams are,
- 2:04Speaker 1: that was the most predictable. I saw that tie coming
- 2:06Speaker 1: a mile away, even though both teams in that.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Game had over an 80% chance.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Individually to win that game in overtime.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Did you see the tie coming a mile away? Put
- 2:17Speaker 4: that on the poll. It's fantastic.
- 2:20Speaker 3: I'm not certain Nick Sirianni was clock management as much
- 2:23Speaker 3: as it was just a bad decision and maybe not
- 2:26Speaker 3: knowing the rules, just kicking the ball off. And you
- 2:28Speaker 3: could say to the special teams, hey, cover the kick,
- 2:29Speaker 3: do your job. I understand that. But why put them
- 2:32Speaker 3: in that position? It was a terrible decision by Nick Sirianni.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I would just loop in like clock management,
- 2:38Speaker 1: situational awareness altogether, because I really believe that these coaches
- 2:43Speaker 1: don't know anything. I'm convinced that none of them do.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You have Todd Bowles in the Thursday night football game
- 2:48Speaker 1: going for it instead of making it a three score game.
- 2:51Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter. Nick Sirianni lets the Jaguars return
- 2:54Speaker 1: the kick. The commanders run a play when they have
- 2:57Speaker 1: absolutely no business running one. And then you're telling me
- 3:01Speaker 1: that these are the guys that are getting paid millions
- 3:03Speaker 1: of dollars to make the decision where I genuinely believe
- 3:06Speaker 1: that if you play Madden, even somewhat regularly, you have
- 3:10Speaker 1: better clock management, a better understanding of game situations. and
- 3:14Speaker 1: more situational awareness than half the head coaches in the NFL.
- 3:19Speaker 4: You got that out there? Situational awareness?
- 3:21Speaker 1: There are teenagers.
- 3:24Speaker 4: It's tough on a Monday morning.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Dangerous word.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Mikey, there are teenagers right now that turn their PlayStations
- 3:30Speaker 1: off or turn their Xbox off and are sitting in
- 3:32Speaker 1: an algebra class right now that have better situational awareness
- 3:36Speaker 1: than NFL head coaches today.
- 3:39Speaker 3: When you play Madden, you're not doing it in front
- 3:41Speaker 3: of 90,000 screaming people.
- 3:43Speaker 1: That does not matter.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Listen, I'm not excusing anything that happened yesterday, especially in
- 3:49Speaker 3: the Giants-Commanders game as it relates to the Commanders.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I would argue this. The Giants walk out of there.
- 3:56Speaker 3: It's the rare tie that feels like a win, and
- 3:58Speaker 3: the Commanders, the rare tie that feels like a loss.
- 4:00Speaker 3: The Giants fell. I mean, they do, and they should.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I feel like they won that game. They got out
- 4:04Speaker 3: of there with a tie. That's like a win for them.
- 4:06Speaker 3: It is. Go ahead, Mikey.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Yeah, John Harbaugh after the game was like, well, I'm
- 4:11Speaker 2: glad we didn't lose.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And the commanders are like, we're upset we didn't win.
- 4:18Speaker 1: There was a moment in that game where the commanders
- 4:20Speaker 1: are up 14.
- 4:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:22Speaker 1: And the Giants were desperate. The Giants had nothing. And
- 4:25Speaker 1: the Giants defensive coordinator just said, you know what we're
- 4:27Speaker 1: going to do? We're just going to send cover zero
- 4:29Speaker 1: blitzes all the time and force the commanders into making
- 4:33Speaker 1: quick decisions. It's almost like the Brian Flores method in
- 4:37Speaker 1: Minnesota where he's like, I'm just going to blitz so much.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And I don't think quarterback play is good enough to
- 4:42Speaker 1: be able to handle these all-out pressures and these all-out blitzes.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And Jameis Winston gets them back into the game. I'm
- 4:49Speaker 1: still stuck on this Madden thing because I think every staff–
- 4:54Speaker 1: Every staff should have to hire a Madden guy to
- 4:56Speaker 1: help them because Malcolm Gladwell's book, The Outliers, it suggests
- 5:01Speaker 1: in there it takes roughly 10,000 hours of deliberate practice
- 5:05Speaker 1: to master a craft. That's why I think coaches should
- 5:10Speaker 1: hire a Madden guy to be standing next to them
- 5:12Speaker 1: on the sideline.
- 5:13Speaker 3: They've logged way more than 10,000 hours is what you're saying.
- 5:16Speaker 3: A real Madden guy? Yes, yes.
- 5:18Speaker 1: And no matter how much football Nick Sirianni plays... It's
- 5:22Speaker 1: going to be hard for him to get to 10,000 hours.
- 5:24Speaker 1: And Nick Sirianni especially just looks like an idiot on
- 5:27Speaker 1: the sideline when things aren't going his way.
- 5:28Speaker 3: He won a Super Bowl. Anyway, go ahead, Mike.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I saw Doug Peterson.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Stop yelling at me, man.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Go ahead, Mikey.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Who's the first innovative coach to hire a situational awareness coordinator?
- 5:40Speaker 2: Like that's going to be your big 30 coordinators now. Like, oh, yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 2: but they got Taylor Vipolis to be their situational coordinator.
- 5:48Speaker 2: They're going places.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Can I say this? Jaden Daniels, how many hours of
- 5:52Speaker 3: football do you think he's logged? I mean.
- 5:54Speaker 2: A good amount.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Okay, he should know better, right? I don't care what
- 5:57Speaker 3: the coach is doing on the sideline. This is Jaden Daniels'
- 6:00Speaker 3: third season in the NFL. He should know down, distance, time,
- 6:04Speaker 3: the rules, all of it. He's the leader of that team.
- 6:08Speaker 1: But when the commanders are taking that snap with, like, 16,
- 6:11Speaker 1: 17 seconds– What is the best case scenario in that situation?
- 6:16Speaker 1: You throw like a five yard out and you move
- 6:18Speaker 1: up five yards or you just throw the ball away.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Like in that situation, you should take that decision out of,
- 6:24Speaker 1: out of Jaden Daniels hand. Spike the ball, clock it,
- 6:28Speaker 1: kick out, what, like a 35, 40-yard field goal, end
- 6:31Speaker 1: the game. And worst case scenario, if you do that
- 6:34Speaker 1: situation and you miss, okay, the Giants get the ball
- 6:37Speaker 1: on like the opposite 30, 35-yard line with like seven
- 6:40Speaker 1: seconds left.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:42Speaker 1: There was no benefit to the commanders running an additional play.
- 6:45Speaker 3: In the absence of the coaches telling you exactly what
- 6:48Speaker 3: it is you need to do and situational awareness, you
- 6:51Speaker 3: would hope your best player knows what to do in
- 6:53Speaker 3: the event that they don't.
- 6:55Speaker 4: It's like having a coach on the floor. That's all
- 6:56Speaker 4: I'm saying, Taylor.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I'm not removing blame from the coach, but I'm also
- 6:59Speaker 3: blaming Jaden Daniels because he is their coach on the floor.
- 7:03Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 7:05Speaker 5: Is this a situation where Dan Quinn... was kind of
- 7:08Speaker 5: like a father of a toddler and he just assumed I, like,
- 7:12Speaker 5: I don't need to tell.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Him Jaden knows what to do.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Maybe this is, this is, this has got to be
- 7:17Speaker 2: just standard.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Like I, I know not to tell my toddler, Hey,
- 7:21Speaker 5: don't put your hand on that sharp thing because it
- 7:24Speaker 5: will cut you. Or is this the kind of thing
- 7:26Speaker 5: where he literally needs to manage him every second of
- 7:30Speaker 5: every day?
- 7:31Speaker 1: I think it's a situation where, Mikey, imagine your kid
- 7:34Speaker 1: has a fork and he's trying to put it into
- 7:37Speaker 1: an outlet. You're hoping that your kid knows not to
- 7:40Speaker 1: put the fork in the outlet, but at the same time,
- 7:43Speaker 1: maybe don't give him a fork near an outlet.
- 7:44Speaker 4: Right, but he's a kid. I mean, Jaden Daniels, he's
- 7:47Speaker 4: an adult. He's a professional.
- 7:48Speaker 3: He went to the NFC Championship game as a rookie.
- 7:51Speaker 3: I mean, he should know. Taylor, I'm just saying.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Nine o'clock management.
- 7:56Speaker 4: I'm just saying he should know better. Is that fair?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Jaden Daniels should know better. Dan Quinn should know better.
- 8:03Speaker 4: 100%.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I think Dan Quinn should be fired today. Period, point blank,
- 8:07Speaker 1: end of discussion. Dan Quinn should be out. You're looking
- 8:10Speaker 1: at who's going to be the first coach fired. I
- 8:12Speaker 1: think it's a three-horse race at this point.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Jim Harbaugh?
- 8:16Speaker 1: Jim Harbaugh, yes. Jim Harbaugh is one of the horses
- 8:18Speaker 1: in the race. It's Dan Quinn, it's Jim Harbaugh, and
- 8:21Speaker 1: I think Nick Sirianni's entering that conversation. I think Aaron
- 8:24Speaker 1: Glenn was probably in that conversation. I think Matt LaFleur
- 8:27Speaker 1: was probably in that conversation, but after the Jets win
- 8:30Speaker 1: and the Packers win, I think those two guys are...
- 8:33Speaker 1: moving off the hot seat. Right now, it's Dan Quinn's
- 8:35Speaker 1: spot to lose.
- 8:36Speaker 3: That was an ugly Jets win, and LaFleur do it
- 8:39Speaker 3: with Caleb Williams playing. I mean, I don't want to
- 8:42Speaker 3: hear about it.
- 8:42Speaker 1: The coach that got the most bailed out on Sunday?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yes.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Liam Cohn, where... i'm watching that jaguars game he really
- 8:49Speaker 1: did yes if liam cone and nick sirianni if you
- 8:53Speaker 1: told me before the game that these two coaches were
- 8:55Speaker 1: just like going out of their way to be like
- 8:56Speaker 1: i don't want to win this game you win this
- 8:58Speaker 1: game like i i would believe you because when you're
- 9:00Speaker 1: watching the jaguars taking the points is the new going
- 9:03Speaker 1: for it where where like the thought concept of just
- 9:06Speaker 1: kicking the field goal like you were watching that eagles
- 9:08Speaker 1: offense where they have this makeshift offensive line with with
- 9:11Speaker 1: no jurgens no lane johnson it's like The magic number
- 9:15Speaker 1: to beat the Eagles offense right now is probably like 16,
- 9:18Speaker 1: 17 points. You got to scrap whatever you can to
- 9:22Speaker 1: get there. And they're going for it. They're doing jet sweeps,
- 9:25Speaker 1: the fourth and goal from the one. They're going for
- 9:28Speaker 1: it every fourth down where it's like if you just
- 9:29Speaker 1: kick the field goal, you wouldn't have needed Parker Washington
- 9:32Speaker 1: to make like a spectacular end zone catch there.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Right.
- 9:36Speaker 5: I think Liam Cohen, in Liam Cohen's defense, I think
- 9:39Speaker 5: he was absolutely terrified of the long snapper. I think
- 9:42Speaker 5: once this long snapper got tossed pregame for a scuffle.
- 9:47Speaker 2: No, the long snapper got hurt.
- 9:49Speaker 4: The long snapper got hurt.
- 9:50Speaker 2: The long snapper got hurt. I thought he was one
- 9:51Speaker 2: of the ones that got tossed.
- 9:52Speaker 3: He had like a starting defensive tackle making the snaps.
- 9:55Speaker 3: He hadn't done it since like high school. Jason Kelsey
- 9:57Speaker 3: kept talking about how difficult it is, and it is.
- 10:00Speaker 4: I believe that it is. It's a very hard thing
- 10:01Speaker 4: to do, yes.
- 10:04Speaker 5: It literally scared him because every time he had to
- 10:07Speaker 5: do it to a punter, he was doing it high.
- 10:09Speaker 5: So every time he was doing it to somebody who's
- 10:11Speaker 5: kneeling closer, he was worried that it was just going
- 10:14Speaker 5: to go over his head.
- 10:16Speaker 2: And I think that scared the hell out of him.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So I'm willing... To give Liam Cohen a pass.
- 10:21Speaker 1: That is a good point because you don't realize how
- 10:23Speaker 1: much you need a long snapper until it's time to
- 10:25Speaker 1: need a long snapper.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Until he's not there.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Until he's no longer there.
- 10:32Speaker 1: If we were doing like MVP power rankings today.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I think the Jaguars holder deserves at least some mentions.
- 10:39Speaker 1: It's the greatest hold in the history of holds. Put
- 10:41Speaker 1: it on the poll. Was the Jaguar hold the greatest
- 10:43Speaker 1: hold in the history of holds? Because you're watching Little
- 10:46Speaker 1: getting ready to kick that field goal for the Jaguars,
- 10:49Speaker 1: where now a guy behind the midfield logo is now
- 10:53Speaker 1: where the field goal range is, where it's like nobody
- 10:56Speaker 1: wants to watch that. But once he lines up, you're like, oh.
- 10:59Speaker 1: As long as the snapper could just get this there,
- 11:01Speaker 1: he's going to drill this. And then you're like, wait,
- 11:03Speaker 1: the snapper hasn't gotten one there. But you're also thinking like,
- 11:08Speaker 1: law of averages say he eventually has to get one
- 11:11Speaker 1: good snap. And he airmailed that. And that holder made
- 11:16Speaker 1: the play of his life.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Did the holder get the game ball?
- 11:19Speaker 1: If he didn't, he should have.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Put it on the poll.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Does the Jags holder deserve the game ball for yesterday's
- 11:27Speaker 3: win over Philadelphia?
- 11:29Speaker 4: Also put this on the poll. Anything inside the logo.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Chip shot. Because I'm with you. I feel like field goals.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Have never been easier to convert.
- 11:38Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 11:39Speaker 1: There's times where you're watching, like, the Dallas Cowboys game,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and the Dallas Cowboys need to get in, like, field
- 11:43Speaker 1: goal range, and they put that, like, green line to
- 11:45Speaker 1: show where, like, the target line is. And now it's, like,
- 11:48Speaker 1: on the other 40-yard line. It's like, where are we going?
- 11:52Speaker 1: They need 10 yards to get into field goal range now.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Yes. taylor which radio station which market's having a bigger
- 12:10Speaker 3: day today philadelphia or washington philadelphia philadelphia is firing everyone.
- 12:16Speaker 6: I mean yeah they hate next year i can't he
- 12:21Speaker 6: gave them a reason to yeah well yesterday he certainly
- 12:24Speaker 6: did he listen he he put it on himself after
- 12:26Speaker 6: the game mikey like that's all right that's all you
- 12:29Speaker 6: can ask a.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Coach i think jalen hurts put it on him too.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Yeah well Jalen Hurts needs to score more.
- 12:34Speaker 1: He's losing that locker room, though, fast.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Who, Hurts?
- 12:36Speaker 3: No, Sirianni. Hurts might be as well. I mean, what
- 12:41Speaker 3: a day. What a day.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Tua came back last night.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Oh, the most predictable interception. If you didn't see that
- 12:48Speaker 1: interception coming, like, I don't know what to tell you. Also,
- 12:53Speaker 1: Michael Penix, like, play. Like, Michael Penix said if we
- 12:55Speaker 1: got the ball first, he probably would have been out there. Okay,
- 12:57Speaker 1: what changed here? when the, the rate, if anything, the
- 13:01Speaker 1: Ravens gave you like more time to rest, the Ravens
- 13:03Speaker 1: gave you seven and a half minutes to rest where Michael, uh, Tua,
- 13:07Speaker 1: he has that nice completion and gets them to like
- 13:10Speaker 1: the 40, 45 yard line.
- 13:12Speaker 2: And then it's going to do it again.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And then you're like, Oh my God, same building. He
- 13:16Speaker 1: replaced Jalen hurts in this building, wins Alabama, the national title.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Maybe Tua could, you know, turn back the clocks here
- 13:23Speaker 1: and Drake, London, At no point was Drake London ever
- 13:27Speaker 1: open there. And not only was Drake London not open there,
- 13:31Speaker 1: that pass that Tua threw wouldn't have even gotten to
- 13:34Speaker 1: Drake London because that pass was dying on the way to.
- 13:36Speaker 2: It was going to skip.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it was dying on the way to Kyle.
- 13:39Speaker 3: The arm is rusty.
- 13:41Speaker 2: But Tua.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Tua gets the ball. He gives a shoulder hesitation to
- 13:47Speaker 1: Kyle Hamilton to try to get Kyle Hamilton off it.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Kyle Hamilton did not budge, and Tua was like, guess what?
- 13:54Speaker 1: I'm still throwing this ball.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Right. I mean, the only other option is Cooper Rush.
- 14:02Speaker 3: It would have been a better option?
- 14:03Speaker 1: No, it's a pick your poison at that point.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Do you want to throw an interception on the first
- 14:07Speaker 2: play or the second play? Which one do you want?
- 14:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Cooper gave you a little three-yard bubble screen. Maybe they
- 14:14Speaker 4: lose a yard.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Maybe they gain three.
- 14:16Speaker 4: The second one's an INT.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Snoop Huntley, by the way. Floaty?
- 14:20Speaker 3: He's back. Yes.
- 14:22Speaker 4: I mean, I think the award should be named after
- 14:24Speaker 4: Snoop Huntley.
- 14:25Speaker 1: He does. Every year. You can pencil in, like, clockwork.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Huntley is going to keep this team afloat.
- 14:31Speaker 4: The Snoop Huntley floaty award.
- 14:34Speaker 3: How about that?
- 14:34Speaker 1: And you watch Snoop Huntley and he's been the Ravens backup. Yeah.
- 14:39Speaker 1: He's been the Ravens backup now for what feels like
- 14:42Speaker 1: almost like a decade at this point.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:44Speaker 1: This is the same way I felt after watching Case
- 14:46Speaker 1: Keenum tear apart the Eagles defense.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:50Speaker 1: There aren't 32 better quarterbacks than Snoop Huntley. And the
- 14:52Speaker 1: fact that Snoop Huntley can't get a starting job somewhere
- 14:55Speaker 1: is is almost a disservice to Snoop Hogg.
- 14:58Speaker 3: You would have him starting in Atlanta? Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Well, Michael Penix just can't move. Michael Penix is theoretically
- 15:06Speaker 1: a good quarterback just because he's very accurate. And he understands, like,
- 15:10Speaker 1: I just have to give the ball to B. John
- 15:11Speaker 1: Robinson and Drake London and Kyle Pitts.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Yes.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Kyle Pitts is having a– Kyle Pitts is only 26
- 15:16Speaker 1: years old. That shocked me.
- 15:18Speaker 3: That is shocking. And you're right.
- 15:20Speaker 4: He's having a resurgence since Michael Penix.
- 15:23Speaker 3: At 26. Since Michael Penix has been inserted into the lineup.
- 15:27Speaker 3: We'll get to the weekend observations here in a second.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Mikey did call when we ranked the games before the weekend.
- 15:33Speaker 3: He did have San Francisco-Seattle as the best game of
- 15:36Speaker 3: the weekend. And, man, that game delivered. I mean, it
- 15:40Speaker 3: was the game of the year. It really was. It
- 15:43Speaker 3: was amazing.
- 15:44Speaker 4: That's what good coaching looks like.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Apparently apparently i wouldn't.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Know good coaching yeah it looks like kyle shanahan it does.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Give him some credit no shanahan yes yes mike mcdonald
- 15:58Speaker 1: it's like before halftime uh maybe just take like a
- 16:01Speaker 1: sneak and get out of the back of your end
- 16:02Speaker 1: zone maybe and not hand it off to a running back.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Yeah i mean he's got a ring he won it
- 16:07Speaker 3: last year it's kind of you know This year doesn't
- 16:10Speaker 3: really matter, right?
- 16:11Speaker 2: It's a gravy year.
- 16:11Speaker 1: It should matter.
- 16:13Speaker 3: The team's good, Taylor.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Are you doubting Seattle?
- 16:16Speaker 1: No, that team is good. Right now, the NFC, I
- 16:18Speaker 1: would say the NFC is the NFC West versus everybody else.
- 16:23Speaker 3: There's not another good team out there?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Not that I trust. And the Vikings are 5-0.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Worst 5-0 team in NFL history. I'm looking at the NFC,
- 16:32Speaker 3: the landscape here. The Giants are 3-1-1. What a tie.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I can talk myself into second half, James Winston.
- 16:39Speaker 3: You can talk yourself into Chicago, can't you?
- 16:42Speaker 1: Yeah, once Caleb comes back.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Once Caleb comes back. Detroit, nothing for you.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Provided he doesn't step on a Lego.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Seattle, Rams, San Francisco. Yeah, you're right. No team from
- 16:54Speaker 3: the South is going, although we love the South. The
- 16:57Speaker 3: Vikings stink. The Bears with Caleb are good. And the
- 17:00Speaker 3: NFC East is a disaster.
- 17:03Speaker 1: It's a terrible division.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Yes, the NFC West teams minus Arizona should just play
- 17:07Speaker 3: each other. Someone should get a bye. The other two
- 17:09Speaker 3: teams should play each other. The winner plays the team
- 17:11Speaker 3: that gets a bye. That winner goes to the Super Bowl.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Three teams make the playoffs.
- 17:16Speaker 1: This might be a must win for the Rams tonight.
- 17:20Speaker 3: All right.
- 17:21Speaker 4: We have Stafford and Josh Allen still.
- 17:25Speaker 1: This game could be the game of the year.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Weekend observations next.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Stugatz here. You guys know me. I'm watching sports all
- 17:34Speaker 3: weekend anyway. And there's nothing better than having a little

- 18:31Speaker 3: See FanDuel.com for eligibility. Weekend observations coming up in just
- 18:47Speaker 3: a second here. Taylor has two amazing Tyler Huntley stats.
- 18:51Speaker 3: We have to give Taylor praise here. Mikey, he demanded
- 18:54Speaker 3: we get Bob Chesney on the show. We did get
- 18:56Speaker 3: Bob Chesney on the show. He said Bob Chesney is
- 18:59Speaker 3: going to be the next great college football coach. And, man,
- 19:02Speaker 3: did he have a big win for UCLA over Oregon.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Taylor.
- 19:08Speaker 3: You were on it, man. Between that and your Cam
- 19:09Speaker 3: Schlittler take, you're doing well, my friend.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so I have experience in the Chesney world because
- 19:15Speaker 1: James Madison beat North Carolina 70-50 in Chapel Hill. So
- 19:20Speaker 1: once I saw Chesney do that, I said, man, I
- 19:23Speaker 1: want Chesney to be my next coach. So I've been
- 19:26Speaker 1: on the Chesney train, and the Chesney train just keeps
- 19:28Speaker 1: on rolling. We rolled through Oregon this past weekend, and
- 19:31Speaker 1: I think we're going to be favored the rest of
- 19:32Speaker 1: the season.
- 19:33Speaker 3: We. the Chesney train. We were, when did you become
- 19:37Speaker 3: a Bruin? I mean, the sea, when you gave him props,
- 19:42Speaker 3: the sea and Chesney stands for choo choo. You have
- 19:47Speaker 3: two Tyler Huntley stats here for us. By the way,
- 19:50Speaker 3: Alabama and Georgia was the game of the year until
- 19:53Speaker 3: Seattle played San Francisco. What a weekend of football.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Which might get dethroned tonight.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Holy crap, what a weekend of football. It was unbelievable.
- 20:02Speaker 3: What do you have for us? Right, it might get
- 20:03Speaker 3: dethroned tonight. You have Stafford going against Josh Allen. Taylor,
- 20:07Speaker 3: what do you have for us on Tyler Huntley before
- 20:10Speaker 3: we get to the weekend observations?
- 20:12Speaker 1: So I have two stats here. Funny that you just
- 20:14Speaker 1: mentioned Josh Allen because Josh Allen's in this one stat.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Tyler Snoop Huntley has more overtime wins, one, than Josh Allen, 0-7.
- 20:23Speaker 1: That doesn't sound right.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Say it again.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I mean, I was so stunned. I want to make
- 20:29Speaker 4: sure I heard it correctly.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Snoop Huntley has more overtime wins, one, than Josh Allen, 0-7.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Wow. Wow. And we keep changing the rules for Josh
- 20:38Speaker 2: Allen to win in overtime, and he just won't do it, huh?
- 20:42Speaker 1: Snoop Huntley doesn't need any rule changes. Just give him
- 20:44Speaker 1: the ball.
- 20:44Speaker 2: No, he does not.
- 20:45Speaker 3: He's fine with the rules, yes. Lamar goes out, just
- 20:49Speaker 3: put me in. I'll win you a game. I'll keep
- 20:50Speaker 3: you afloat.
- 20:51Speaker 1: And then the other stats, too.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Yep, yep.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Wins after trailing in the last eight minutes of a game.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Joe Burrow, one. Tyler Huntley, four.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Jesus.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Snoop, there it is.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Let's get to the weekend observations.
- 21:19Speaker 3: What a weekend. Mikey! It was two NFC East rivals
- 21:29Speaker 3: taking battle. A rivalry built on decades of hatred So naturally,
- 21:36Speaker 3: 60 minutes wasn't enough. Then, an extra 10 minutes still
- 21:43Speaker 3: wasn't enough. Five quarters of football, blood, sweat, tears, every
- 21:51Speaker 3: yard earned, every.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Inch fought for.
- 21:54Speaker 3: And in the end, it's the most soccer thing about
- 21:57Speaker 3: American football. Hours of your life you'll never get back.
- 22:02Speaker 3: and absolutely nothing to show for it. And Mikey, just
- 22:07Speaker 3: like that, make no mistake about it, the tie is back. Yes.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I mean, yay.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Jags Eagles, game of the year. Giants Commanders, game of
- 22:27Speaker 3: the year. Seahawks 49ers, game of the year. The Jets
- 22:34Speaker 3: did everything they could to lose that game.
- 22:37Speaker 2: They tried so hard.
- 22:41Speaker 4: They really did. The other team just wanted it more.
- 22:44Speaker 3: The Browns.
- 22:45Speaker 1: How is every Jets and Giants game just played in
- 22:47Speaker 1: the pouring rain?
- 22:48Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 22:50Speaker 2: They said that nine straight Sundays at MetLife football games
- 22:56Speaker 2: have had rain.
- 22:57Speaker 1: It's like a dark cloud just over the Jets always.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Yes.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yes.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Philadelphia Eagles should leave Nick Sirianni in London. Taylor loves
- 23:08Speaker 3: leaving people in London across the pond.
- 23:11Speaker 2: She does.
- 23:11Speaker 1: It's more degrading, yeah.
- 23:15Speaker 2: They don't even have the right money.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Philadelphia Eagles snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Washington
- 23:24Speaker 3: Commanders snatch the tie from the jaws of victory.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Stupid.
- 23:34Speaker 3: I have zero numbers to back this up, but kickers
- 23:38Speaker 3: are better in international games.
- 23:43Speaker 2: They have to be.
- 23:44Speaker 4: No numbers to back it up. I just feel like
- 23:46Speaker 4: they are.
- 23:47Speaker 2: That's what the locals go to see.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Minnesota Vikings, worst 5-0 team in NFL history. If a
- 23:54Speaker 3: coordinator could win the MVP award, it should be Brian Flores'
- 24:01Speaker 3: award to lose. He should win the MVP. You're right.
- 24:05Speaker 4: He should win coach of the year, head coach of
- 24:07Speaker 4: the year.
- 24:08Speaker 1: You're right.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Hand up.
- 24:12Speaker 4: I think we all owe Drake May an apology.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Did we? I mean, he was bad.
- 24:21Speaker 2: He was bad. No, he was bad.
- 24:22Speaker 4: He played like a clown.
- 24:26Speaker 1: That was then. This is now.
- 24:29Speaker 2: You're right.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Sorry. I turned to Abby Saturday night and said, hey,
- 24:39Speaker 3: you want to know what college football looks like? She said, no.
- 24:45Speaker 4: I said, it looks like Alabama, Georgia. She said, take
- 24:50Speaker 4: another hit.
- 24:51Speaker 3: It's college football. What?
- 24:59Speaker 2: Vikings play the Colts in two weeks. Going to be
- 25:01Speaker 2: the best 6-0 team we've ever seen.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Coming off a bye. 12 carries. 22 yards is the
- 25:10Speaker 3: exact reason you don't take a running back with the
- 25:13Speaker 3: fourth pick in the draft. Thank you. Ollie Gordon is
- 25:18Speaker 3: the exact reason you don't take a running back with
- 25:21Speaker 3: the fourth overall pick in the draft. Six rounder. Running
- 25:28Speaker 3: all over the place. Hey, Carrie Underwood, news for you.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Nobody is waiting all day until Sunday night. We've got
- 25:39Speaker 3: football all day before Sunday night. It's true. Derrick Henry
- 25:47Speaker 3: in the open field. Dangerous game. Mikey, you know what
- 25:51Speaker 3: the D in Derrick Henry stands for?
- 25:55Speaker 2: Dangerous game.
- 25:56Speaker 3: When he's in the open field. Yeah. To anybody that
- 26:02Speaker 3: thinks about getting in front of Derrick Henry when he
- 26:05Speaker 3: gets going, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
- 26:09Speaker 6: Dangerous.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Calais Campbell, first team, still got it.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Is he?
- 26:21Speaker 3: Does he still have it?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Oh, my God. He was stuffing some of those B.
- 26:24Speaker 1: John Robinson runs last night.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Is he having a year?
- 26:28Speaker 1: He's always having a year. Mm-hmm.
- 26:30Speaker 3: I tuned into the Titans for a second, and Cam
- 26:33Speaker 3: Ward was right at home on the corner of 3rd
- 26:38Speaker 3: and Long Street. That's where he lives, man. He's not good.
- 26:46Speaker 3: I'll say it. How good would the Ravens be if
- 26:50Speaker 3: Mark Andrews could hold on to the football? That's bad.
- 26:57Speaker 1: They chose Andrews over Likely, which seems like a massive
- 26:59Speaker 1: mistake at this point.
- 27:01Speaker 4: If they had to do it again, it seems unlikely
- 27:04Speaker 4: they would make the same decision.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Likely joke. Thank you.
- 27:11Speaker 3: As long as field goals need to be made, Nick
- 27:15Speaker 3: Folk will have a place in the NFL.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Ben Johnson, do it against a team in the NFC North.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Bears.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Packers.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Was played in Lambeau, but really was played behind the woodshed.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Chicago Bears. Yeah, it was.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Chicago Bears lost the Ditka game.
- 27:41Speaker 3: You take it?
- 27:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Pitt lost the Ditka game, too, to North Carolina.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Wow.
- 27:47Speaker 1: 0-2 in Ditka games this week.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Forgot to get to the Tar Heels. How'd you feel
- 27:50Speaker 4: about that, Taylor?
- 27:51Speaker 3: You're a Bruin now.
- 27:52Speaker 1: It was a big ranked win for Belichick. Cracked a
- 27:54Speaker 1: smile before the game. Did anybody see that?
- 27:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:56Speaker 1: They asked him, like, how do you prepare for a
- 28:01Speaker 1: rookie quarterback or an inexperienced quarterback? And Belichick was like,
- 28:04Speaker 1: he's a six-year senior. What do you mean inexperienced quarterback?
- 28:09Speaker 1: It doesn't get more experience than a six-year quarterback.
- 28:11Speaker 4: That's the bill I want. That's the bill you want.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Yeah, a little personality, a little jokes cracking.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Combine it with a win, boom.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Yes.
- 28:18Speaker 1: All of a sudden, talk myself into this North Carolina team.
- 28:20Speaker 1: They can upgrade the quarterback position. Got a top ten
- 28:23Speaker 1: quarterback last year.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Top five coach?
- 28:26Speaker 3: Nope. Not yet. A couple more wins. We'll see.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I'd still take Jake Dicker at Wake Forest. Great coach,
- 28:35Speaker 1: by the way.
- 28:37Speaker 3: If you ask Mike Ditka, he'd want to go before
- 28:41Speaker 3: watching the Bears get blown out by the Packers. Good timing.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Rest in peace, coach. When Deshaun Watson loses, America wins.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Put it on the poll, Taylor. When Deshaun Watson loses,
- 28:59Speaker 3: does America win? Beating Deshaun Watson should count as two wins.
- 29:08Speaker 2: No thanks.
- 29:09Speaker 1: It is strange because, like, you have all the teams
- 29:11Speaker 1: in the AFC East, like Patriot fans, Bills fans, and
- 29:14Speaker 1: I feel like the consensus was everybody was still rooting
- 29:16Speaker 1: for the Jets yesterday. It's like the blood in the
- 29:19Speaker 1: Crips meme where they're standing together arm in arm and
- 29:22Speaker 1: putting things beside— between them aside, to stand up for
- 29:25Speaker 1: the better cause. The better cause right now is just
- 29:28Speaker 1: rooting against Deshaun Watson.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Washington Commanders, there is not a greater insult in all
- 29:34Speaker 3: of sports. Congratulations. The New York Jets are strong in you.
- 29:44Speaker 3: A week ago, WFAN called David Bailey a bust. Today,
- 29:50Speaker 3: they'll call him the best. That's what New York Sports
- 29:53Speaker 3: Radio is all about. Go get them, boys.
- 29:56Speaker 1: That was an arrival game yesterday.
- 30:00Speaker 4: The Bengals lead the league in wins that make you
- 30:04Speaker 4: feel worse about them. That's so true.
- 30:12Speaker 3: I would say the Jets, but they don't have enough wins.
- 30:15Speaker 4: No.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I would have said that was Texas.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:20Speaker 3: But the Bengals, that's spot on. Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 4: 49ers Seahawks.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Best seven turnover game of all time. 49ers Seahawks. No
- 30:34Speaker 3: love lost. 49ers Seahawks. Only play slugfests. True.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Seattle Seahawks. A Kenneth Walker away.
- 30:49Speaker 2: They're starting running back. Both their guys are hurt.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Come on. And they get Charbonnet back. Right. They'll be fine. Seahawks.
- 30:55Speaker 3: They're good. It wouldn't be a 49ers game without wondering
- 31:01Speaker 3: if they'd have enough healthy players to finish a game.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Only for them to still find a way to win
- 31:10Speaker 3: the game. Annoying.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Mike Evans.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Man. Oh, what a good fit.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Man amongst boys.
- 31:16Speaker 2: How is... Yes. How is Mike Evans the one that's
- 31:18Speaker 2: still healthy on that team?
- 31:20Speaker 1: Of all the people that are getting hurt.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Mike Evans is the guy that's still playing.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Put it on the poll. Is it a shock to
- 31:28Speaker 3: you that of all the 49ers, Mike Evans is the
- 31:31Speaker 3: one that's healthy?
- 31:33Speaker 1: And I think he's playing with, like, cracked ribs.
- 31:35Speaker 2: He's having a year, man.
- 31:38Speaker 4: That's five years from the day he retires, right?
- 31:40Speaker 3: He goes to Canton. He's that good?
- 31:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Oh, easily.
- 31:44Speaker 2: He made us draft Johnny Manziel in the first round.
- 31:46Speaker 6: Right.
- 31:47Speaker 2: That's what Mike Evans did.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Yes.
- 31:49Speaker 2: By the way, did you see what he did to
- 31:51Speaker 2: Travion Diggs? That was so disrespectful.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Oh, man, yeah.
- 31:54Speaker 3: What'd he do?
- 31:55Speaker 5: Travion Diggs was yapping at him, and he turned Travion
- 31:59Speaker 5: around to see who he was.
- 32:01Speaker 2: So he could read the name on the back of
- 32:03Speaker 2: his jersey.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I feel like Diggs is too good of a player
- 32:06Speaker 1: to do that against, though, right?
- 32:07Speaker 3: No, it's a great move.
- 32:09Speaker 5: The best is they asked him about it in the postgame,
- 32:13Speaker 5: and he was trying to be respectful at his answer,
- 32:15Speaker 5: but he was being so respectful at his answer that
- 32:18Speaker 5: was even more disrespectful. He was like, no, I honestly
- 32:20Speaker 5: didn't know it was him. I've gone up against him.
- 32:22Speaker 5: I just didn't know it was him.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Man, the 49ers are good. The last two times they
- 32:30Speaker 3: started 5-0, they made it to the Super Bowl. How
- 32:33Speaker 3: about you win one? Brandon Cooks is a 49er.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Everybody had that same reaction, yeah.
- 32:43Speaker 3: No idea. Healthy. They need him. Justin Herbert. Making sure
- 32:52Speaker 3: the Chargers get him Jeremiah Smith next season. Herbert.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Chess.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Not checkers. I don't want to give him that kind
- 33:02Speaker 3: of credit, man. He stinks.
- 33:04Speaker 2: They stink.
- 33:05Speaker 3: That coach stinks. And McDonald is done. McDaniel. McDonald.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Tomato.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Tomato.
- 33:11Speaker 2: McDonald is very much.
- 33:12Speaker 3: McDaniel go work at a McDonald's. Put that on the ball.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Should McDaniel get ready to start working at McDonald's?
- 33:23Speaker 4: McDonald has job security.
- 33:24Speaker 2: You're right, Mikey.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Don't mean to offend the Seahawks coach.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Josh McDaniel. Josh McDonald.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Tennessee Titans. Just between us. What did you expect when
- 33:37Speaker 3: you hired Robert Sala?
- 33:41Speaker 4: I like Rob.
- 33:42Speaker 2: A lot of excuses. But those stairs are getting run,
- 33:47Speaker 2: I bet.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 4: Houston Texans.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Off the schneid. D'Amico Ryans.
- 33:53Speaker 3: You're 4-1. 1-4.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 33:56Speaker 3: 1-4. You should be 4-1.
- 34:01Speaker 4: You're 1-4. I'm dyslexic. Stop smiling.
- 34:08Speaker 3: I mean, it's right there for me, 1-4.
- 34:10Speaker 1: What happened with that Marvin Harrison trade?
- 34:12Speaker 3: It was weird. It was a secret all weekend, and
- 34:14Speaker 3: then all of a sudden he's on the Texans. Reunited
- 34:16Speaker 3: with C.J.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Stratton.
- 34:17Speaker 1: It was like a mystery trade announcement. The Cardinals are
- 34:21Speaker 1: trading Marvin Harrison Jr. to where? Somebody announced where the
- 34:25Speaker 1: trade is to, and it's like, we'll find out after Sunday.
- 34:28Speaker 4: At least they have Jeremiah Love, though.
- 34:31Speaker 2: It's called the long tease.
- 34:32Speaker 3: I like it. I kept refreshing it. You're right. It worked.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Hey, Taylor. Tariq Scooble. Is signing with?
- 34:44Speaker 3: I'll tell you later.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Tarek Skubal is signing with a team this postseason. More
- 34:49Speaker 1: at 11.
- 34:50Speaker 3: I love that. Detroit Lions. Get right game. Jacoby Brissett
- 34:58Speaker 3: is the Tom Brady of garbage time.
- 35:04Speaker 1: That Trey McBride catch.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 3: How much were they trailing by when he made that?
- 35:12Speaker 1: I think 35. It's the best catch went down 35 ever.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 35:19Speaker 2: It looks so good for the Cardinals early, and then
- 35:21Speaker 2: the Lions scored on seven straight possessions.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Tariq Scooble. Do it in the postseason. And then do
- 35:29Speaker 4: it on the Tigers. Texas.
- 35:32Speaker 2: And then do it for America.
- 35:33Speaker 3: And then do it for the United States of America. Texas. Oklahoma.
- 35:39Speaker 4: Throw out the records. And while you're at it, Throw
- 35:43Speaker 4: out both offenses.
- 35:48Speaker 3: For an offensive guru, Steve Sarkeesian isn't that good at offense. Sark.
- 35:56Speaker 2: You're right.
- 35:58Speaker 4: If Sark is an offensive guy, I'm George Clooney.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Some said. Here's something to ponder. If his name were
- 36:14Speaker 3: Arch DeLone, would we even have him on the big board?
- 36:21Speaker 3: No need to discuss now. Stash it away for a
- 36:23Speaker 3: rainy day. Arch Manning plays quarterback like he's the son
- 36:29Speaker 3: of the only Manning who didn't play quarterback.
- 36:35Speaker 1: It feels like Sark has no idea how to use
- 36:38Speaker 1: Arch Manning. Like, Arch Manning's best strength is probably, like,
- 36:42Speaker 1: his mobility and how well he moves at that size.
- 36:45Speaker 1: And Sark is just, like, pounding it into the table. Like,
- 36:48Speaker 1: we are going to play this guy like he's the
- 36:50Speaker 1: best pocket passer ever. Like, he's Peyton Manning.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Yeah, he had some moments.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Okay, he had some really bad moments, too.
- 36:57Speaker 4: He did, but he can make some throws where you're like, oh, man.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Also, I don't think that interception was on Arch Manning.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I think that was all Cam Coleman. Cam Coleman runs
- 37:04Speaker 1: routes so lazily.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Right. I'm not certain I'd have any sort of confidence
- 37:10Speaker 3: taking Arch Manning number one overall. We're in the top
- 37:12Speaker 3: five for that matter. One overall?
- 37:13Speaker 1: I wouldn't be confident taking him in the first round.
- 37:15Speaker 3: First round, you're right. Maybe.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I am officially declaring I am not marching for Arch.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I don't want him.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Wow.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I think if Keelan Russell was draft eligible, he would
- 37:26Speaker 1: be the first quarterback taken.
- 37:27Speaker 3: He's so good.
- 37:28Speaker 1: He's unbelievable.
- 37:30Speaker 3: He's so good. That's why all the preseason stuff is nonsense, man.
- 37:35Speaker 3: I didn't hear a single person say that guy was
- 37:37Speaker 3: going to be one of the best quarterbacks in the country.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Not one. Not one. There is nothing SEC fans love
- 37:47Speaker 3: more than dancing on Lane Kiffin's grave. That was also
- 37:54Speaker 3: a game.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Of the year.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Our boy, Will Stein.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Will Leavers.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Yes.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Let's get him on.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Will or will not. He's a friend of the show.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Watch how these guys become increasingly difficult to get on
- 38:09Speaker 3: the show. You'll see. Chesney.
- 38:10Speaker 1: We're having that with Kentucky right now.
- 38:13Speaker 3: I'm not happy about it. I'll let him have it
- 38:14Speaker 3: in a minute.
- 38:16Speaker 2: I had J.J. Watt on my show three times his
- 38:19Speaker 2: rookie year.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Right.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Could not get him on after that.
- 38:21Speaker 3: That's when you get him. I mean, it's the only
- 38:23Speaker 3: time you're going to get him if he becomes great. J.J.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Watt's actually married to one of my friends from Carolina.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Well, get him on.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Kalia.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Kalia Ojai. Kalia Watt now.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Yeah, right after Ben Johnson.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Right. Tell JJ I want to mend fences here, okay?
- 38:36Speaker 3: That he's doing a great job. He's with Nance now,
- 38:38Speaker 3: number one team. I don't miss Romo at all. Just
- 38:41Speaker 3: tell him I want to mend fences. Get him up.
- 38:44Speaker 3: When Army is in a one-score game, Mikey, you know
- 38:49Speaker 3: where they have you?
- 38:51Speaker 2: Right where they want you.
- 38:52Speaker 3: That's where Army lives. That's where they want to live.
- 38:57Speaker 3: There are certain schools that shouldn't be allowed to fake punts.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Army Is one of them.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Just feels wrong.
- 39:08Speaker 2: T-Y-F-Y-S.
- 39:09Speaker 6: Yes.
- 39:10Speaker 3: It shouldn't be called a fake punt when Army does it.
- 39:15Speaker 3: It should be called a covert operation. Gunner Stockton could
- 39:26Speaker 3: scoot the S in Stockton. It stands for scoot. We
- 39:34Speaker 3: can expand the college football playoffs to 64 teams, and
- 39:38Speaker 3: Alabama and Georgia will always matter. Do you know how
- 39:44Speaker 3: bad a call has to be for people to defend Alabama?
- 39:52Speaker 3: I was doing it. Terrible.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Kalen the boar went nuts at the end of that game, man.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Oh, multiple times.
- 39:59Speaker 4: Yes, on the kid and on the call.
- 40:00Speaker 1: On the referee.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Yeah. You are Oregon. UCLA calls and offers you Bob
- 40:08Speaker 3: Chesney for Dan Lanning. What do you do? You're Phil Knight.
- 40:14Speaker 2: You walk away.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Hey, Coach Chesney, how fast can you get to Eugene?
- 40:18Speaker 3: Can we bring Eugene to you? He's a good-looking man, Chesney.
- 40:28Speaker 3: When Oregon is losing, their alternate uniforms look extra gimmicky.
- 40:35Speaker 3: They do.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Looked like a monster energy drink exploded over them.
- 40:39Speaker 3: You're right.
- 40:40Speaker 2: I thought it was like an 80s workout uniform.
- 40:46Speaker 3: Once Oregon loses a regular season game, they shouldn't be
- 40:49Speaker 3: allowed to wear any alternate uniforms. It only looks cool
- 40:55Speaker 3: when they're undefeated. Yeah, that's a good take.
- 40:57Speaker 2: It's yours. That's a good take.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Dylan Rayola. It was fun while it lasted.
- 41:07Speaker 3: Dan Lanning. Talked all that crap about L.A., only to
- 41:11Speaker 3: lose to UCLA and their backup quarterback.
- 41:17Speaker 1: He's like, I actually just met Lincoln Riley.
- 41:22Speaker 4: He saved his job for now.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Lincoln.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Yeah, big win at the White Owl game. Penn State
- 41:26Speaker 1: can't win that White Owl game anymore.
- 41:28Speaker 3: No, no.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Matt Campbell, I think.
- 41:30Speaker 3: I'd stop doing it.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Matt Campbell bit off a little bit more than he
- 41:32Speaker 1: could chew going to Happy Valley, I think.
- 41:34Speaker 3: The same thing, right?
- 41:36Speaker 1: Yeah, stay at Iowa State forever.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Iowa State, same thing as Whittingham in Michigan.
- 41:43Speaker 4: They don't care at Iowa State.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Didn't Matt Campbell turn down the Jets job?
- 41:47Speaker 2: He did.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Well, that was the right move. No.
- 41:54Speaker 1: No.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Would have made a difference.
- 41:56Speaker 1: You stayed in Ames, Iowa?
- 41:59Speaker 3: Because no one cares.
- 41:59Speaker 1: To keep coaching at Iowa State instead of going to
- 42:01Speaker 1: the Jets and being one of the 32 head coaches
- 42:04Speaker 1: in the NFL? Probably a mistake. If you gave Matt
- 42:07Speaker 1: Campbell a do-over, I think he'd does that over.
- 42:09Speaker 3: I think he'd stay at Iowa State forever.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Yeah, he definitely wouldn't go to Penn State.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Eight wins, nine wins, bowl game.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Boom. Extension. Beat Iowa every once in a while.
- 42:20Speaker 3: That's all you have to do.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Simple.
- 42:24Speaker 4: How the hell is Oregon this bad? Speaking of hell.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Arp Riles.
- 42:32Speaker 4: Mikey.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Those. are the weekend observations.
