- 0:31Speaker 2: A man went to his doctor and said, Doc, I
- 0:33Speaker 2: keep putting things off. It's becoming a real problem. The
- 0:36Speaker 2: doctor said, well, we should probably do something about that.
- 0:40Speaker 2: The man replied, you're right. I'll make an appointment next week.
- 0:44Speaker 2: And that, my friends, is how procrastination gets a second opinion.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Hello everybody and welcome to another episode of Positively 365 Inspire, Motivate, Support.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I'm Joseph Wattis and I'm glad you're spending time with
- 1:06Speaker 2: me today. We tell ourselves we will start when circumstances
- 1:10Speaker 2: are better, but what if that perfect moment never comes?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Today we are talking about stop waiting for the perfect moment.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Here is today's trivia question. which famous American inventor reportedly
- 1:22Speaker 2: tried many different materials while developing a practical electric light bulb.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Hey there, amazing listeners. Did you know I am involved

- 2:03Speaker 2: Do you know the answer to the trivia question? The
- 2:05Speaker 2: question was, which famous American inventor experimented with thousands of
- 2:10Speaker 2: materials while developing a practical electric light bulb? The answer
- 2:14Speaker 2: is Thomas Edison. Edison and his team tested many different
- 2:18Speaker 2: materials before developing a successful, commercially practical, incandescent lighting system.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Imagine if Edison had decided that he needed to know
- 2:27Speaker 2: exactly how everything would work before beginning. He might never
- 2:31Speaker 2: have gotten started. Life really does get complicated. Responsibilities are real.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Sometimes waiting is the wise thing to do. But there's
- 2:43Speaker 2: a difference between waiting because something genuinely requires preparation and
- 2:48Speaker 2: waiting because we're afraid to begin. And that's where we
- 2:52Speaker 2: can get ourselves into trouble. We convince ourselves that one
- 2:55Speaker 2: day everything will fall into place. We'll wake up with
- 2:59Speaker 2: plenty of energy. Our calendars will be clear. Our finances
- 3:01Speaker 2: will be comfortable. Every question will have an answer. And
- 3:04Speaker 2: then finally, we'll get started. Well, I hate to disappoint you,
- 3:08Speaker 2: but if you're waiting for a day when life presents
- 3:11Speaker 2: you with absolutely no complications, you might want to pack
- 3:14Speaker 2: a lunch. You're going to be waiting a while. So
- 3:28Speaker 2: today I encourage you to stop waiting for every circumstance
- 3:31Speaker 2: to fall into place. Make the phone call. Take the
- 3:35Speaker 2: first step. Begin the project. Give yourself a chance. And remember,
- 3:40Speaker 2: the perfect moment may never arrive, but a meaningful moment
- 3:44Speaker 2: is available to you right now. I'm Joseph Wattis, and
