- 0:00All right, is it a sin to get a tattoo?
- 0:05Well, let's first, I wish I had more data.
- 0:08If you get a tattoo of Elton John on your lower back and
- 0:12you're a grown man, for sure, that's that's a sin.
- 0:15I mean that actually, the Bible talks about the unpardonable,
- 0:19the unforgivable sin, the sin that leads to death.
- 0:23That's a strong contender. But no, tattoos are not overtly
- 0:29a sin, so it says in I think. I think the tattoo verse is
- 0:34Leviticus 1928. And I know you are all deeply
- 0:39devoted to Leviticus and have spent a considerable a time in
- 0:42that book of the Bible and done deep research and come to
- 0:45profound conclusions. So not to bore you with the
- 0:47details, it is never mentioned in the New Testament.
- 0:50Tattoos are not in Leviticus. If you look in Leviticus 19,
- 0:55it's in the context of these regulations in the Old Testament
- 0:59pertaining to God's people not participating in paganism.
- 1:03So like immediately adjacent, I think to that verse.
- 1:06It says how short you can cut your hair on the sides of your
- 1:10head. And so I, if you, if you don't,
- 1:14if you don't get a tattoo because you think it's a sin,
- 1:16when you go to the Barber, make sure you don't go below and #2
- 1:20on the side clip. And so number one, there are
- 1:23certain laws in the Old Testament that are fulfilled in
- 1:26Christ. There are others that are still
- 1:28binding on us, but this one is about God's people doing Pagan
- 1:33practices. And so the tattoos were, as is
- 1:37sometimes still the case, They were in reference or devotion to
- 1:41false gods, to idols, to demons. And it was a way of like
- 1:44publicly branding yourself with a group like today, let's say
- 1:48you're in a gang, you get a neck gang tattoo.
- 1:51Well, that would be a sin. Not that the tattoo is, but that
- 1:54the group that you're identifying yourself with
- 1:56publicly and showing your allegiance to.
- 2:00That being said, it seems like Jesus may have a tattoo.
- 2:05It says in Revelation 19 that when he returns, he'll be a
- 2:09white, he'll be a rider on a White Horse, and he'll come to
- 2:14slay the nations. And it says that on his leg is
- 2:17ridden King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
- 2:21And so that kind of gives the indication that when we see him
- 2:25again, it may be tattooed thug Jesus who's coming back to open
- 2:29a can. What are your thoughts on
- 2:33homeschool? Well, so when it goes to
- 2:36educating your child, no matter how you educate your child, you
- 2:40still need to be homeschooling mean, meaning you need to
- 2:43educate your kid at your house. You can't just pawn it off to
- 2:46the school that either way, mom and dad need to be the primary
- 2:49educators, disciplers, evangelizers and and their
- 2:54children with their responsibility.
- 2:55But it starts first and foremost with dad says in Ephesians 6,
- 2:58fathers train your children up in the way of the Lord.
- 3:01So it it puts the first responsibility on dad as head of
- 3:05household to oversee the education of the child.
- 3:08Now you got some options. You've got they call them public
- 3:12schools, but they're government schools.
- 3:14This may shock you. Education in America was
- 3:17exclusively Christian up until Horace Mann, Thomas Dewey,
- 3:22signers of the Humanist Manifesto, and supporters of the
- 3:25Communist Manifesto. Before that, Christian education
- 3:28was pretty much all we knew and it was the churches that were
- 3:32open. If you watch old shows like
- 3:33Little Ass on the Prairie, the school met in the church and the
- 3:36church help the children become literate so they could learn the
- 3:39word of God. And all of that shifted with the
- 3:42Communist Manifesto written by Marx and Engels.
- 3:46And in the Communist Manifesto, it expressly indicates that they
- 3:50realize nobody's stupid enough to believe in Marxism.
- 3:54So what we need to have is government education.
- 3:56That's where it starts. And if we could get the naive
- 3:59minds of young children who believe that adults are
- 4:01trustworthy and tell the truth, then we can convince them that
- 4:04Marxism is not damnable. And that is what happened.
- 4:08And so now what? You've got the two largest
- 4:11teachers unions in America. Literally 100% of all of their
- 4:19political contributions have been to progressives and
- 4:22Democrats, 0 to conservatives. The entire teachers union is
- 4:28unashamedly progressive and liberal and pro Marxist.
- 4:34Well Karl Marx is an atheist and so he is an enemy of our God.
- 4:38My point is this the public school system, the government
- 4:42school system, is rotten to its core, and it exists not to
- 4:46educate, but to brainwash your child.
- 4:48If they don't understand the Constitution and they're more
- 4:51fixated on genitalia and pronouns, you officially have
- 4:54sent your kid to the wrong school.
- 4:57Maybe there's an exception somewhere where there's a decent
- 4:59public school, but as a general rule, I wouldn't recommend
- 5:03government schools. Now you've got to decide, well,
- 5:06do we do some sort of Christian School, some charter school,
- 5:10some private school if we can afford to pay for it?
- 5:12That's what we did with our kids.
- 5:14You also can do home school where you have a curriculum and
- 5:17maybe you do some sort of collective or you bring
- 5:21different kids together for different classes and
- 5:24activities. And, and there's a hybrid model
- 5:26that a lot of families in our church really like.
- 5:29What we are seeing is that particularly with the age of
- 5:32technology, homeschooling now has a lot of options, a lot of
- 5:37curriculum, a lot of collectives where parents are working
- 5:41together. And the kids that are coming out
- 5:43of decent homeschool environments, they're they're
- 5:46outperforming government school kids and reading and writing and
- 5:50arithmetic. They're not as good at pronouns
- 5:52and perversion, but that's OK. You want your kids to flunk
- 5:55those subjects. So, yeah, I would be a big fan
- 5:58of homeschooling. I tell the parents in our
- 6:01church, you know, you're the parent you pick.
- 6:04You know, God gives us options, make the decision per child per
- 6:07year because each one of your kids is different.
- 6:09And every year the needs of the child in the circumstances of
- 6:12the family, they vary. So yeah, I, I would not be a fan
- 6:16of government schools, charter schools that are conservative,
- 6:19Christian schools that are good, as well as home school and
- 6:24co-ops and hybrids. Yeah, I think those are your
- 6:27best options as a parent. And don't get legalistic, don't
- 6:31get idealistic. You're still the most
- 6:33influential person in your kids life.
- 6:36Make sure that you're teaching them that you're involved, that
- 6:38you're invested and that you are the first educator and that is
- 6:42the most important thing for the raising of your kid.
- 6:47All right, What is the biblical position on the death penalty?
- 6:52God has no problem killing people.
- 6:54Just so you know, God is more of a past the first than a
- 6:59pacifist. If you read the Bible and you
- 7:01actually take it seriously. So there are times that God
- 7:04doesn't even send people to court.
- 7:06He just floods the earth where he sends flaming roads are
- 7:11during the month of June to all the nastiness in Sodom and
- 7:14Gomorrah, which is weird, but he did that.
- 7:18And so sometimes God doesn't even worry about taking people
- 7:22through a process. He just exercises divine
- 7:25judgment on them. God does the same thing in the
- 7:28book of Exodus where the people are worshipping bail in Exodus
- 7:3132 and God tells the Levites, hey, go kill the men who are
- 7:36leading this perversion and insurrection and 3000 men are
- 7:39killed in that day. The Old Testament is quite a
- 7:42bloody book and Romans 13 is really where you want to camp
- 7:46and it talks about that there is God and then there is government
- 7:50and that civil authority wields what is called in Romans 13 a
- 7:55sword given them by God. And it is to encourage people to
- 8:01be law abiding, to discourage people who are lawless, and then
- 8:05to take the life of those who persist in being lawless, which
- 8:11are a threat to law and order. And so capital punishment is in
- 8:16fact something that God decrees. And this includes in the Old
- 8:20Testament, which was at theonomy under the governance of God in
- 8:22Israel. There are capital crimes.
- 8:25There are things if you do, you can be put to death, like
- 8:28blasphemy and adultery. Those are on the list, which
- 8:31today would mean we wouldn't, we wouldn't have so much problem
- 8:36with traffic, there'd be nobody on the road if blasphemy and
- 8:40adultery was still a capital offense.
- 8:42And so ultimately the wage for sin is death and sin against God
- 8:47is treason and all sin ultimately does incur the death
- 8:51penalty that, you know, we sin, we die.
- 8:55And so so yes, what does the Bible say about capital
- 8:58punishment in the death penalty? It says that the government has
- 9:02rightful authority delegated from God, Romans 13, to use the
- 9:06sword to put down evil and to promote public peace and
- 9:10justice. And for those who would have a
- 9:13problem with the death penalty, you need to ask yourself, do you
- 9:16really believe that sinners exist, That Satan and demons are
- 9:20real, and that evil doers will not stop themselves, so they
- 9:23must be stopped? OK, here's the question.
- 9:27I hope this is a dude. What should I look for in a
- 9:31wife? And how important is physical
- 9:33attraction? So first and foremost, when
- 9:37you're looking for a spouse, you need to be attracted to the
- 9:40whole person. And if you're not attracted to
- 9:44the whole person, that marriage is going to be rough and it's
- 9:47going to be rough for them. So emotionally, you need to want
- 9:52to be friends with your spouse and enjoy being friends with
- 9:55them. My dearest friend in my whole
- 9:58life is my wife Grace. She is my nearest and dearest
- 10:03friend. So emotionally you need to be
- 10:05attracted. Mentally you need to be
- 10:07attracted if if they're as hot as hell and dumb as a box of
- 10:11rocks, you just need to know you're not going to be sleeping
- 10:14with them all the time. Sometime you're going to need to
- 10:16talk to them and if they can't hold an adult conversation or if
- 10:20they find multi syllable words to be real stumbling blocks,
- 10:24then you probably need to find somebody else.
- 10:27Again, My wife, she's she's very bright.
- 10:30She's she's got a high EQ she's smart.
- 10:32We talk about everything. We make all our decisions
- 10:35together. She provides wise counsel.
- 10:37She's more of a problem solver and a fact Finder.
- 10:40And she helps me miss the rather catch things that I would have
- 10:44missed. And so you need to, you need to
- 10:45be emotionally attracted. You need to be mentally
- 10:47attracted. Do you respect this person?
- 10:50If you've ever been around somebody that is just not smart,
- 10:56Not meaning that their brain doesn't work, they just, it's
- 10:59like they're allergic to books and ideas.
- 11:03Being with those people for extended periods of time, it's
- 11:06very frustrating because they don't understand things like
- 11:10maps and money and news and details.
- 11:14So emotionally, yes. Mentally, yes.
- 11:18Spiritually, most important of all, like do they love the Lord?
- 11:22Do they manifest the fruit of the Spirit?
- 11:24Like when you're with them or you like, they love the Lord and
- 11:27I love them. And when I'm with them, we could
- 11:29pray together, we can worship together, We could study the
- 11:32Bible together, which brings us under God's authority.
- 11:34In addition, it it causes to have agreement on marriage and
- 11:38parenting and sexuality and money and all the stuff of life
- 11:41because we're under the authority of God's word and
- 11:43we're following the leadership of God's spirit.
- 11:45If my wife wasn't a mature Christian, our marriage wouldn't
- 11:49have existed because we've been through so many tough seasons.
- 11:54But it's, it's our relationship with God that saves and
- 11:56preserves our relationship. And so spiritually, you surely
- 12:01better be attracted to them. And they need to be at your
- 12:03level of maturity. They need to be committed to
- 12:06their own walk with God. And, and you can't be dragging
- 12:09them along spiritually. They need to be running
- 12:11alongside of you. So yeah, emotionally, mentally,
- 12:15spiritually, and also, yeah, physically, I mean, at some
- 12:21point you're going to sleep together.
- 12:24And if it feels like a trip to the dentist, that is not ideal
- 12:28for either of you. And so, but what we do in our
- 12:31day, because of technology and pornography and dating apps, we
- 12:36overemphasize the physical. It is important, but we under
- 12:41emphasize the mental, the emotional and the spiritual.
- 12:47And at the end of the day, if somebody loves the Lord and has
- 12:49high character and they're insightful and they're wise and
- 12:54they're a really good friend to you, you're going to be more
- 12:57sexually attracted to them. And it's not going to be just
- 13:01the physical desires pulling you toward them.
- 13:05It'll be the whole person, like a gravitational force pulling
- 13:08you toward them. My wife is beautiful and so, you
- 13:13know, but the fact that she loves the Lord, the fact that
- 13:17she serves our family, the fact that she is growing in wisdom,
- 13:21the fact that she's the best, most loyal friend I ever had,
- 13:25that is an incredibly significant gravitational force
- 13:30for the overall attractiveness. And in the same way, you can
- 13:34find somebody who is just attractive physically, but if
- 13:37there's nothing else there, here's what's going to happen.
- 13:40Eventually you're going to despise them and you're not
- 13:42going to want to be with them because you're not drawn to
- 13:45them. And So what should you look for
- 13:47in a spouse? Yeah, mentally, physically,
- 13:50emotionally, spiritually. But I would say in addition,
- 13:53don't just make a list of what you want for a spouse.
- 13:57Make a list of what you want to be for your spouse.
- 14:00Don't just ask, do they meet the job description?
- 14:03The question is, are they getting the best version of me?
- 14:08Am I working on myself mentally, emotionally, spiritually,
- 14:11physically, so that when we enter into this marriage, I'm
- 14:15not just getting what I want, which is very selfish, but I'm
- 14:18becoming who they need because marriage is about serving and
- 14:22consideration of the other. Thank you very much for watching
