- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, the truth about sorority life with
- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts, me, Gia Giudice, Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Fessler.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush. Sorority recruitment
- 0:15Speaker 1: is in full swing and so are the outfits. So
- 0:19Speaker 1: today we have a panel of hand-plucked sorority girls gathered
- 0:24Speaker 1: to rate them all from the hottest looks to the
- 0:27Speaker 1: hottest messes.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Let's get into it. All right.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I'm so excited to hear from these girls. With a
- 0:34Speaker 3: daughter who's coming up in it, I really want to hear,
- 0:37Speaker 3: not that you don't offer amazing advice, Gia, but I
- 0:40Speaker 3: feel like I love bringing all these girls in.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Hi, Ella.
- 0:43Speaker 5: Hello.
- 0:45Speaker 6: Hello.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Where do you go to school?
- 0:47Speaker 5: I go to San Diego State University. So I'm a
- 0:50Speaker 5: junior this year.
- 0:51Speaker 7: Well, we want to talk to you about what it
- 0:53Speaker 7: is like to dress up to go to Rush at
- 0:56Speaker 7: San Diego State University, please.
- 0:59Speaker 8: Which house are you in?
- 1:00Speaker 5: I'm in Alpha Phi.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Well, Ella, I think I'm closest to your age, but
- 1:07Speaker 1: I went to Rutgers University in Jersey. I don't think
- 1:10Speaker 1: it was nearly as strict with sorority recruitment and having
- 1:14Speaker 1: a specific itinerary to follow when it comes to outfits. yes,
- 1:19Speaker 1: everyone needed to, you know, dress fancy and, you know,
- 1:22Speaker 1: obviously show up as their best self.
- 1:24Speaker 2: But what was your first.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Impression when you went into Rush and how you had
- 1:29Speaker 1: to dress?
- 1:30Speaker 5: I would say, so for my year, it was a
- 1:33Speaker 5: little bit different because now Panhellenic has transitioned to more
- 1:38Speaker 5: of traditional Rush rounds where they have girls wear a
- 1:41Speaker 5: specific shirt. So the Panhellenic Rush shirt that they wear
- 1:46Speaker 5: for starting off with either A lot of girls choose
- 1:49Speaker 5: to wear a cute golf skirt with it, cute pair
- 1:52Speaker 5: of denim, a denim skirt, denim shorts, just anything cute
- 1:56Speaker 5: with the bottom. A lot of girls usually wear something short, though,
- 1:59Speaker 5: because it's so hot in San Diego around this time. Like,
- 2:01Speaker 5: it's 90... It's yeah, it's 90 today here.
- 2:05Speaker 2: It's it's rough.
- 2:06Speaker 1: So that's for open house round, right? Yes, that was
- 2:10Speaker 1: the same thing for me. I had to wear a
- 2:11Speaker 1: T-shirt and I wore jeans because it was the fall
- 2:14Speaker 1: in Jersey. So you could get away with like wearing
- 2:16Speaker 1: jeans or a skirt or something.
- 2:19Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly. I mean, it's still that's I feel like
- 2:23Speaker 5: that is the round. The opening round is easiest because
- 2:26Speaker 5: girls feel the less amount of stress there because they're
- 2:28Speaker 5: all wearing the same top and they have more fluency
- 2:30Speaker 5: with their bottoms. It was different for my.
- 2:33Speaker 2: PC, though.
- 2:34Speaker 5: I'm PC24. Because we were online for that first open round.
- 2:40Speaker 7: Oh, yes.
- 2:41Speaker 5: So we had not transitioned back into in-person open rounds.
- 2:45Speaker 5: So we didn't have shirts. They just told us to
- 2:48Speaker 5: wear a comfortable shirt. So I wore... I wore a
- 2:51Speaker 5: floral tank top and just, you can only see the.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Upper half of me.
- 2:56Speaker 5: So a lot of girls were on the zoom and
- 2:58Speaker 5: found out this afterwards, but a lot of girls were
- 3:00Speaker 5: on the zoom wearing a cute top and then sweatpants
- 3:02Speaker 5: at the bottom.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Cause you couldn't see.
- 3:04Speaker 8: It's like newscasters that do that.
- 3:05Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Or like me today.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Right.
- 3:08Speaker 8: I was just going to say, or any of us.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 5: You could never tell, but if I stood up, I'd you,
- 3:15Speaker 5: I was wearing a, I remember I was wearing a
- 3:18Speaker 5: white floral shirt. And if I stood up, I was
- 3:20Speaker 5: wearing these bright pink sweatshirts. And if you just like
- 3:24Speaker 5: saw me stand up, you'd think like, what's going on here?
- 3:29Speaker 5: But yes, there's, there's a lot of fluency with the
- 3:32Speaker 5: opening round. Every girl wears the same t-shirt going in
- 3:35Speaker 5: and it changes every year, the design. It's always super
- 3:37Speaker 5: cute though. Very cute. Our Panhellenic team here does a
- 3:41Speaker 5: great job. So those girls wear those tops. And then
- 3:45Speaker 5: we start going into the phyllo round. And that's when
- 3:48Speaker 5: it starts to transition to essentially getting fancier as it goes.
- 3:55Speaker 9: What did that stand for? You said phyllo?
- 3:58Speaker 5: Ah, sorry.
- 4:01Speaker 2: No, it's fine.
- 4:02Speaker 5: It's fine.
- 4:03Speaker 3: You just talk to us like we are children because.
- 4:07Speaker 2: We haven't done this.
- 4:07Speaker 8: For a really long time.
- 4:10Speaker 5: It's I'm so used and this is not something I had.
- 4:13Speaker 5: I was so used to people having, you know, an
- 4:18Speaker 5: awareness of Greek life terms. And I didn't know any
- 4:22Speaker 5: of them when I was going through it because none
- 4:24Speaker 5: of my family went through Rush. No one was, it
- 4:27Speaker 5: was my first time. I didn't know anything. So when
- 4:30Speaker 5: people were saying these things like philo.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I was like, what's philo?
- 4:34Speaker 5: What's philanthropy?
- 4:35Speaker 8: It's like a flaky pastry.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:39Speaker 5: And then when I was told what philanthropy essentially is
- 4:41Speaker 5: for each sorority, I was like, okay, so this is
- 4:43Speaker 5: nothing like what I thought it was. But it's still,
- 4:48Speaker 5: then usually for that round, girls will Which is good
- 4:52Speaker 5: about our school is a lot of sororities will put
- 4:56Speaker 5: up inspiration boards on social media platforms because it makes
- 5:02Speaker 5: it way more helpful for girls because they have each
- 5:05Speaker 5: other through it to talk about what they want to
- 5:08Speaker 5: wear or ask if it looks like something that they
- 5:13Speaker 5: ask if they think it's appropriate. You know, girls just
- 5:16Speaker 5: want a little bit of validation to help feel more confident.
- 5:19Speaker 5: But then being able to see a vision board made
- 5:22Speaker 5: by chapters for girls, it's just so much more helpful.
- 5:26Speaker 5: And seeing it now happen and seeing my chapter post
- 5:31Speaker 5: them makes me happy because I can already tell if
- 5:34Speaker 5: I was going through Rush again, it would be so
- 5:36Speaker 5: helpful for me.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 3: So do you feel like there's a big range? We
- 5:40Speaker 3: were just talking about this, like how, you know, Down south,
- 5:44Speaker 3: SEC schools are very love shack fancy and big poofy
- 5:48Speaker 3: bows and all of that.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Kind of stuff.
- 5:49Speaker 3: I feel like SDSU is probably a little more casual.
- 5:53Speaker 3: But within SDSU, do you feel like there's a giant
- 5:58Speaker 3: range between the sororities or are you all kind of similar?
- 6:03Speaker 5: I'd say there's a giant range. And from what I've
- 6:06Speaker 5: noticed recruiting last year, a lot of girls had their
- 6:10Speaker 5: own individual style.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:13Speaker 4: So happy to hear that.
- 6:14Speaker 5: And it was just so cool. I would get inspiration
- 6:18Speaker 5: off these girls. They'd wear these cute little belts or jewelry.
- 6:21Speaker 5: And I was just like, I love this. You know,
- 6:23Speaker 5: I like how girls are all inspired off each other.
- 6:25Speaker 5: And if they want to wear similar outfits, that's perfectly okay.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Whatever makes you comfortable. But when you can clearly tell
- 6:32Speaker 5: a girl has created this perfect outfit she's confident in,
- 6:37Speaker 5: it's just, that's what I love to see because it shows,
- 6:40Speaker 5: you know, there's no set style here.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Are there any brands though?
- 6:44Speaker 7: Like, are there any brands that you think are getting
- 6:46Speaker 7: worn more right now this year?
- 6:48Speaker 4: Is there anything you're seeing a lot of?
- 6:50Speaker 5: I would definitely say addicted. Addicted has been on the
- 6:54Speaker 5: rise recently these past two to three years.
- 6:57Speaker 2: And that's awesome.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I mean, addicted is very like, well priced, very, very, yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 1: very affordable.
- 7:05Speaker 3: They even have them at Urban Outfitters.
- 7:06Speaker 5: They do. Yes. I went into Urban Outfitters the other
- 7:10Speaker 5: day and they had a nice collection too. And what
- 7:12Speaker 5: I like about it as well is they have sales.
- 7:15Speaker 5: It's a bunch of different styles. They have crochet clothing.
- 7:19Speaker 5: They have... cute sparkly dresses.
- 7:21Speaker 7: I only know about it because I see it on
- 7:24Speaker 7: our credit card bills.
- 7:27Speaker 4: It just says.
- 7:27Speaker 7: Anyway, listen, Ella, thank you so much for joining us.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Of course.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Okay guys.
- 7:38Speaker 7: So let's actually bring in a boutique owner. So an
- 7:41Speaker 7: expert in this space, let's bring in Kelly.
- 7:44Speaker 6: Hi. Hi.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Thank you for joining us.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Thanks for having me.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I think it's so smart, especially when you have a
- 7:52Speaker 1: cute boutique on campus. My sister goes to University of
- 7:56Speaker 1: Michigan and they have this cutest boutique. Whenever I go
- 7:59Speaker 1: and visit her, I spend a pretty penny there because
- 8:02Speaker 1: they do. But it's so smart because when you go
- 8:06Speaker 1: to school and you don't have a boutique around, I
- 8:09Speaker 1: feel like you're constantly doing online shopping. But it's nice
- 8:12Speaker 1: to actually have a cute boutique near your campus and
- 8:16Speaker 1: on site. that you can walk to and just have
- 8:19Speaker 1: the accessibility to.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I love it.
- 8:22Speaker 4: So what are you selling out of Kelly? Like what's
- 8:24Speaker 4: big for rushes here? So big for rush.
- 8:27Speaker 9: So I don't know if everyone's aware, but like for Arizona,
- 8:30Speaker 9: it's a very different style than the traditional rush talk
- 8:34Speaker 9: Southern style that we all know and love. So none
- 8:39Speaker 9: of that preppy style is really seen for Arizona and,
- 8:43Speaker 9: We are very much more aligned with LA, New York styles.
- 8:48Speaker 9: Very simple, seeing a lot of lace trim selling really well.
- 8:53Speaker 9: Just these little satin dresses that have lace trim around
- 8:56Speaker 9: the bust, colorful satin, not seeing a lot of prints.
- 9:01Speaker 9: You'd be surprised at how no florals are selling this year.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Just very simple.
- 9:07Speaker 9: Form fitting. And then the color palette is super fun.
- 9:11Speaker 9: It's like, butter yellow, baby pink, mint, teals, and aquas.
- 9:16Speaker 9: So it looks like a candy store.
- 9:18Speaker 2: It's very new.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Easter.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Easter Sunday.
- 9:21Speaker 9: Still very hot here. So you're not really seeing any
- 9:24Speaker 9: darker colors or anything like that.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Nice.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Are there any brands that you're selling out of or
- 9:30Speaker 3: that have been really popular?
- 9:32Speaker 9: So we do have some more premium brands like Guzio
- 9:36Speaker 9: and stuff. So there's like this cute little polka dot
- 9:38Speaker 9: set that some people are buying for sisterhood, but As
- 9:43Speaker 9: far as our brands, we sell a lot of L.A.
- 9:45Speaker 9: brands that you don't really buy online. So they're more
- 9:47Speaker 9: affordable for college students, $ 50 to $ 60 for a dress. Awesome.
- 9:53Speaker 9: Some of those brands are more like Cotton Candy, Olivacious.
- 9:56Speaker 9: You wouldn't really know. Some of them you can't actually
- 9:58Speaker 9: shop online.
- 9:59Speaker 5: They are wholesale.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Only so they can't go to your do you have
- 10:02Speaker 4: a website.
- 10:03Speaker 9: We do not because we are so slammed busy like
- 10:07Speaker 9: i can't even keep up with inventory.
- 10:10Speaker 8: That's great good for you good problem to have you don't.
- 10:12Speaker 7: Even need us to push you what about heels do
- 10:15Speaker 7: the girl i mean they have to walk so they're
- 10:16Speaker 7: so long.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Are they wearing heels Yes.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Kitten heels.
- 10:19Speaker 4: We have sold out.
- 10:20Speaker 5: We have a little like a flip flop wedge.
- 10:24Speaker 2: The flip flop wads are huge.
- 10:26Speaker 9: Selling out like crazy.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 7: You know, it's just, it's a, it's a strange thing.
- 10:30Speaker 7: We're talking about how much it matters, right? What you
- 10:34Speaker 7: wear and how great it is. If you know, you
- 10:37Speaker 7: can actually, you know, show your style and showcase a
- 10:39Speaker 7: little bit of who you are through your fashion. And
- 10:42Speaker 7: is that hard? Is it not that hard? And you're
- 10:45Speaker 7: saying there's a U of A girl look, right? That
- 10:49Speaker 7: you're trying to, I guess, move towards, but it's a
- 10:53Speaker 7: lot of pressure.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:55Speaker 9: I mean, I think every young girl faces a lot
- 10:57Speaker 9: of pressure just with the social media world. But I mean,
- 11:01Speaker 9: our sort of shtick at our store is like, you
- 11:03Speaker 9: feel like you're shopping with a friend. All of my
- 11:05Speaker 9: sales associates, most of them have gone through rush themselves.
- 11:09Speaker 9: They're active members. So these girls will come in, they're nervous.
- 11:14Speaker 9: They look like deer in headlights.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm doing.
- 11:16Speaker 9: I don't know what to wear. And my girls just
- 11:18Speaker 9: like walk them through the process. We even have like
- 11:21Speaker 9: these big posters in our stores that say like what
- 11:24Speaker 9: to wear for each day.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Oh, awesome.
- 11:28Speaker 5: It's items that are in. So then you can go
- 11:31Speaker 5: find it. We walk them through.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Okay.
- 11:32Speaker 9: Do you have your dress this day? And then they
- 11:35Speaker 9: try it on. They actually come out of the fitting
- 11:36Speaker 9: room and show us. And we're like, yes, like, That's
- 11:39Speaker 9: the one. And then even if they don't buy anything,
- 11:41Speaker 9: they just leave feeling so much more confident, relaxed.
- 11:45Speaker 5: You can see them relax.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Can you dress them for like different sorority houses?
- 11:49Speaker 7: Like if you want, you know, if you want to be,
- 11:53Speaker 7: I don't know, a DG or like, are there different looks.
- 11:56Speaker 4: For different houses?
- 11:57Speaker 5: I wouldn't say so.
- 11:58Speaker 9: There's just more like for the feel around, they get
- 12:00Speaker 9: a t-shirt. So we we buy like skirts that will
- 12:04Speaker 9: go with that t-shirt. It has a pop of red
- 12:06Speaker 9: this year. So we have all these red.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Skirts that are selling out.
- 12:09Speaker 9: And then we still like, okay, now for your sisterhood look,
- 12:12Speaker 9: this is what we'd recommend. Now for pref, there's like
- 12:14Speaker 9: long or short and here's our recommendations.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that's great. You're offering a great service, not just clothing,
- 12:22Speaker 3: but I feel like you're helping them be able to
- 12:24Speaker 3: get through the process.
- 12:25Speaker 2: So good job.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Thank you so much, Kelly.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Thanks so much.
- 12:46Speaker 4: All right, you guys. So let's bring in our next
- 12:49Speaker 4: sorority girl.
- 12:50Speaker 8: Hi, Izzy.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Hi.
- 12:52Speaker 10: Hi.
- 12:53Speaker 7: We're talking about fashion and Rush. And are you going
- 12:57Speaker 7: through Rush? What year are you?
- 13:00Speaker 11: I actually just graduated in May, but I went to
- 13:03Speaker 11: the University of Georgia and I rushed there and was
- 13:06Speaker 11: in a sorority for all four years.
- 13:08Speaker 4: So what are the girls at University of Georgia wearing
- 13:11Speaker 4: for Rush?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Mostly like springy jeans.
- 13:14Speaker 11: Floral dresses, kind of some of the cliches with the
- 13:18Speaker 11: ruffles and heels and all that stuff. But also you
- 13:22Speaker 11: can totally wear like comfortable sneakers and just definitely want
- 13:25Speaker 11: to err on the side of modest. You don't want
- 13:28Speaker 11: to be like flashing anybody at rush, but there's no
- 13:31Speaker 11: strict rules and it's not super crazy at all.
- 13:35Speaker 4: That's interesting.
- 13:35Speaker 7: I mean, we're talking to a few people today and
- 13:38Speaker 7: it just, it sounds like there is a different feel.
- 13:41Speaker 4: There are different feels at different schools, right?
- 13:44Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:45Speaker 4: So, so at Georgia, it's more, it is a little
- 13:48Speaker 4: more florally, ruffly, modest.
- 13:52Speaker 9: Yeah. Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Southern girl.
- 13:54Speaker 11: Anything you could just walk into a boutique in the
- 13:56Speaker 11: summer and find something to wear there. Nothing too crazy
- 13:59Speaker 11: and definitely not too strict. And it also depends on
- 14:03Speaker 11: what kind of sorority you're looking for. Like each one
- 14:05Speaker 11: kind of has a different identity and you just want
- 14:08Speaker 11: to wear what you're comfortable in and you'll find the
- 14:11Speaker 11: right one.
- 14:12Speaker 4: I have a question.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Do you feel like, I don't know what sorority we're
- 14:18Speaker 3: in and you don't need to say, but is their fashion,
- 14:23Speaker 3: would it play a part in whether or not they
- 14:26Speaker 3: get asked back? Like if they show up in this
- 14:29Speaker 3: outfit that is just not your style or stands out
- 14:36Speaker 3: in a negative way or does kind of flash somebody,
- 14:40Speaker 3: you know what I mean? Would anyone be I don't
- 14:44Speaker 3: know what the word is, cut from the next round,
- 14:46Speaker 3: depending on their fashion.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:49Speaker 11: I mean, I was in, I was in Kappa Delta,
- 14:51Speaker 11: which has like a reputation for being a lot of
- 14:54Speaker 11: out of state girls.
- 14:55Speaker 2: And I am from New Jersey. I'm not super Southern
- 14:57Speaker 2: at all.
- 14:57Speaker 11: Like going to Georgia in itself was kind of a
- 15:00Speaker 11: culture shock, but I knew that I wasn't going to
- 15:04Speaker 11: dress super Southern with the ruffles and like huge shoes
- 15:08Speaker 11: and stuff and pretend that I was someone that I'm
- 15:10Speaker 11: not like, I just wore, what I liked and more,
- 15:13Speaker 11: more simple dresses and whatever I was comfortable in. And like,
- 15:18Speaker 11: you can pick up on that when you're rushing someone
- 15:20Speaker 11: and see if they're like being authentic or if they're
- 15:23Speaker 11: dressing comfortably or if they're like trying to fit a
- 15:27Speaker 11: mold to fit a certain sorority. So if you like
- 15:31Speaker 11: wore something that we didn't like, we wouldn't, it's not
- 15:33Speaker 11: like we're going to drop you because we don't like
- 15:35Speaker 11: your outfit.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Like, yeah, it's more about personality and alignment.
- 15:39Speaker 9: Okay, good.
- 15:40Speaker 7: I mean, if you walk into Rush wearing grunge and
- 15:44Speaker 7: like your style is, you know, how's that going to
- 15:46Speaker 7: go over?
- 15:47Speaker 1: And do you think designer has anything to do with it?
- 15:51Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 15:51Speaker 11: I know all those TikToks of the outfits with the
- 15:55Speaker 11: nice jewelry.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Because I get it, girls at Bama. And, you know,
- 15:59Speaker 1: some people like do show up and want to wear
- 16:03Speaker 1: a designer bag or their jewelry. But I just remember
- 16:05Speaker 1: when I was rushing, like, I went to Rutgers. So
- 16:08Speaker 1: being from New Jersey, I'm sure you know.
- 16:10Speaker 2: But I mean, no one cared about that at least.
- 16:15Speaker 1: And listen, I'm sure you can do it if that's
- 16:18Speaker 1: your personality and if that's what you love and if
- 16:20Speaker 1: that's how you want to style yourself.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I don't think anyone is going to knock you for it.
- 16:24Speaker 1: But I also don't think it's... going to make or
- 16:26Speaker 1: break whether you're going to be in the sorority or not.
- 16:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:30Speaker 12: I feel like it shows like a little self-confidence if
- 16:32Speaker 12: you are brave enough to come looking a little different.
- 16:34Speaker 12: I do want to know, like talking about coming, looking
- 16:36Speaker 12: a little different. I remember I came to preference with
- 16:38Speaker 12: this exact same dress as another girl and I was
- 16:41Speaker 12: so embarrassed. And so was she, we both ended up
- 16:44Speaker 12: in DG together and she was one of my good friends.
- 16:46Speaker 12: But do you remember people coming in the same dress?
- 16:50Speaker 12: And is that like a thing, especially we just talked
- 16:52Speaker 12: to a boutique owner and And a lot of people
- 16:54Speaker 12: are shopping at her boutique for Rush.
- 16:57Speaker 8: Do you think it's an issue? If two girls came
- 16:59Speaker 8: in the same dress, would you notice?
- 17:01Speaker 11: You might notice if they're in the same room sitting
- 17:05Speaker 11: next to each other, but it's not like you care.
- 17:07Speaker 11: Like there are thousands of girls going through Rush. You're
- 17:10Speaker 11: bound to have repeat dresses sometimes. It's really not a
- 17:14Speaker 11: big deal at all.
- 17:15Speaker 4: So Izzy, thank you so much for joining us.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Of course. Thanks for having me. Hi, Rachel. How are you? Good.
- 17:21Speaker 6: How are you guys?
- 17:22Speaker 4: You're great.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 17:24Speaker 4: We're talking about rush and fashion.
- 17:27Speaker 2: What year are you?
- 17:29Speaker 6: Yeah. So I'm a senior, which is crazy.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Which sorority are you in?
- 17:34Speaker 6: I'm in Alpha Phi.
- 17:35Speaker 5: Okay.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Got it.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 17:37Speaker 3: We just had one of your sorority sisters talking as well.
- 17:40Speaker 6: Ella.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:42Speaker 8: And where do you go to school?
- 17:44Speaker 6: San Diego state.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Well, Trista's hoping to send her daughter.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 17:48Speaker 3: My daughter is a senior in high school right now.
- 17:51Speaker 3: And SDSU is, uh, probably her top school. And so
- 17:56Speaker 3: when I saw that two of you from SDSU were
- 17:58Speaker 3: coming on the pod to talk, I was.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Like, yay, I get some inside scoop.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Like I'm just being selfish right now, but I'm so
- 18:04Speaker 3: excited to talk to you. We'd love to just hear
- 18:07Speaker 3: about SDSU and if it is really strict or, you know,
- 18:13Speaker 3: we talked to Ella about the, which I don't even
- 18:18Speaker 3: know how to say it still.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Philo week? Philo?
- 18:22Speaker 5: People say it differently.
- 18:25Speaker 4: That's it.
- 18:26Speaker 3: So I'm just learning about all of these things. Haven't
- 18:29Speaker 3: rushed for a really long time. I was an Alpha
- 18:32Speaker 3: Chi at Indiana. So I know a lot has changed,
- 18:35Speaker 3: but with the daughter coming up for rush next year,
- 18:38Speaker 3: I'm trying to get info on all of the things.
- 18:42Speaker 3: So can you just talk to us a little bit
- 18:43Speaker 3: about SDSU Rush and about the fashion in particular and
- 18:49Speaker 3: if it's strict or if they have any guidelines for
- 18:51Speaker 3: you and if people follow them?
- 18:53Speaker 6: Yeah. So in the summer, typically most of the sororities
- 18:59Speaker 6: and the Panhellenic account on Instagram will post like outfit
- 19:02Speaker 6: guides of what each PNM likes for them to get
- 19:06Speaker 6: an idea of what they should be wearing to each round.
- 19:10Speaker 6: So typically you can kind of really show your style
- 19:14Speaker 6: either way. But they just started doing, they didn't do
- 19:17Speaker 6: this my year, but they started doing like a Panhellenic shirt,
- 19:21Speaker 6: which they do at a lot of Southern schools where
- 19:23Speaker 6: you wear the Panhellenic, SDSU Panhellenic shirt the first few rounds.
- 19:28Speaker 6: And then I'm pretty sure for like sisterhood and preference
- 19:32Speaker 6: and those kinds of rounds, you can, you wear a dress,
- 19:35Speaker 6: you can pick whatever dress, preferably something that, you know,
- 19:38Speaker 6: you're comfortable in. can be yourself in and if they're
- 19:41Speaker 6: really not super picky, but I will say like It
- 19:46Speaker 6: is San Diego State. So California fashion definitely has its
- 19:49Speaker 6: own own different vibe yeah a certain vibe like a
- 19:55Speaker 6: California vibe I'm born and raised in California so I'm
- 19:59Speaker 6: definitely like a California girl but when it comes to
- 20:02Speaker 6: dresses it's kind of very there's a different range of
- 20:07Speaker 6: all types of dresses that you'll see in recruitment Um,
- 20:11Speaker 6: you could be, you could dress like a Southern belle, honestly,
- 20:14Speaker 6: and there could still be, you know, different types of,
- 20:19Speaker 6: all different types of, um, colors. Like, it really doesn't matter. Um,
- 20:23Speaker 6: but I feel like a lot of girls style it
- 20:24Speaker 6: up with, like, jewelry, um, definitely accessories. I remember for Rush,
- 20:29Speaker 6: when I, um, was going through Rush, I had my
- 20:34Speaker 6: nails done a certain way. So I had, like, chrome
- 20:37Speaker 6: in my nails because I wanted them to, like, ask
- 20:39Speaker 6: me about that or, like, I wanted, like, something to
- 20:41Speaker 6: talk about with the girls because I was, like, terrified.
- 20:45Speaker 6: I will say that when going into recruitment at SDSU,
- 20:48Speaker 6: it can be very, very intimidating. I have heard that
- 20:52Speaker 6: compared to a lot of other schools, our school can
- 20:54Speaker 6: be very intense with.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:57Speaker 4: Oh, Trista. Trista's going to, like.
- 20:59Speaker 3: I'm like, no!
- 21:03Speaker 6: Oh, no.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Only I will say, like.
- 21:05Speaker 6: just because San Diego State is a very social, like,
- 21:09Speaker 6: we have a very social Greek life, so as long
- 21:11Speaker 6: as people going through Rush, as long as you're someone
- 21:14Speaker 6: who's sociable and, like, can talk to people, you'll be fine. Like,
- 21:17Speaker 6: this is what I tell anyone that was, like, that
- 21:18Speaker 6: will ask me, like, if you can talk to people
- 21:21Speaker 6: and you can hold a conversation and, like, I don't know,
- 21:25Speaker 6: not be, like, boring per se. Yeah, totally. You'll be
- 21:29Speaker 6: totally fine.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Well, I have a follow up question for that. If
- 21:33Speaker 3: you have like resting bitch face.
- 21:37Speaker 5: I think a lot of people do. So I don't think.
- 21:42Speaker 6: I do.
- 21:42Speaker 5: It happens.
- 21:43Speaker 10: I know.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Me too.
- 21:44Speaker 6: Me too. I don't think I don't think they'll they'll
- 21:49Speaker 6: take off like points for that.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Okay, good.
- 21:55Speaker 12: So do you think that like if a girl comes
- 21:58Speaker 12: through and she has a really unique style, do you
- 22:01Speaker 12: think that shows like confidence and maybe you'd be more
- 22:03Speaker 12: likely to like pass around to the next round? Or
- 22:06Speaker 12: do you think like being kind of homogeneous and making
- 22:08Speaker 12: sure they blend in and kind of match the style
- 22:11Speaker 12: of your sorority is more important?
- 22:12Speaker 6: I think being unique definitely gives like a topic of conversation.
- 22:16Speaker 6: Like I said, how I like kind of tried to
- 22:18Speaker 6: like put some unique stuff into my outfits when I
- 22:21Speaker 6: was rushing because I did watch like a lot of
- 22:24Speaker 6: advice videos before I went in. Um, but yeah, honestly,
- 22:28Speaker 6: I don't think as my experience doing both, um, like
- 22:32Speaker 6: being recruited and also being a recruiter, um, we don't
- 22:37Speaker 6: really like discriminate against any type of specific outfits. Like I,
- 22:42Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure I tried to blend in a little
- 22:44Speaker 6: bit too, but also kind of unique pop to it.
- 22:46Speaker 6: But I will say like the unique outfits really were like, wow,
- 22:49Speaker 6: like we see a girl walk in and she's wearing
- 22:51Speaker 6: like some like something we've never seen before or has
- 22:54Speaker 6: her hair styled in a way that we're like wow
- 22:56Speaker 6: that's that's cool yeah we'll definitely like ask them about
- 23:00Speaker 6: that and it gives us something to talk about and
- 23:03Speaker 6: yeah it's I love seeing unique outfits um but it
- 23:06Speaker 6: definitely like not to um discriminate against people that dress
- 23:11Speaker 6: like to fit in because it's definitely it can be
- 23:13Speaker 6: like a an environment where you're like I have to
- 23:15Speaker 6: fit in with all.
- 23:16Speaker 8: These other girls and like it's super intimidating right yeah.
- 23:20Speaker 6: Girls are like, I don't want to wear something that
- 23:23Speaker 6: they may like or may not like. Honestly, the truth is,
- 23:27Speaker 6: I think that it's great when people dress unique because
- 23:29Speaker 6: it really shows who they are and then they will
- 23:31Speaker 6: end up where they're supposed to be.
- 23:33Speaker 8: I totally agree with you.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 12: What do you think about the amount of money that
- 23:38Speaker 12: people are spending these days?
- 23:40Speaker 5: On their outfits.
- 23:41Speaker 12: So like, I, there's a, like a little part of me,
- 23:43Speaker 12: we did a podcast last week about how much people
- 23:45Speaker 12: are spending on their dorm rooms. I think maybe we're
- 23:47Speaker 12: losing track of why we're in college a little bit, or,
- 23:50Speaker 12: or do you think this is like, you know, like
- 23:52Speaker 12: a great way to show who you are and like,
- 23:54Speaker 12: you know, have your personality come out right in the
- 23:56Speaker 12: first couple of weeks of school?
- 23:58Speaker 6: That's a great question. I think that, um, since I,
- 24:01Speaker 6: I lived in Texas for a little bit, so I
- 24:02Speaker 6: know a lot of people that went through rush in
- 24:03Speaker 6: the South. Um, I know a lot of people in
- 24:05Speaker 6: sororities down like Texas in the South, compared to and
- 24:08Speaker 6: then also here on the on the west coast. And
- 24:10Speaker 6: I will say in the south, it's very intense when
- 24:14Speaker 6: it comes to how much money you're spending on your outfit. Honestly,
- 24:17Speaker 6: the more money you're spending, it seems like the better
- 24:21Speaker 6: it is for the outfit out there. Like it's it
- 24:24Speaker 6: seems definitely a lot more intense at San Diego State.
- 24:28Speaker 6: Like I'm pretty sure I wore like I'm exposing myself here,
- 24:32Speaker 6: but I wore a dress that's like a dupe of
- 24:34Speaker 6: like a really expensive dress because you have to buy.
- 24:37Speaker 6: I feel like you have to buy like kind of
- 24:39Speaker 6: a good amount because we didn't have that year. So
- 24:43Speaker 6: I bought a few outfits and I didn't want to
- 24:45Speaker 6: spend like a whole lot of money on it. But
- 24:47Speaker 6: I wanted to just look good and like feel myself.
- 24:50Speaker 6: But honestly, yeah, I think it's a way less intense
- 24:53Speaker 6: with how much you're spending like out here at SDSU.
- 24:56Speaker 6: But in the South, like, it seems like a topic
- 24:58Speaker 6: of conversation where, you know, you do the OOTDs and
- 25:02Speaker 6: you're like, this is from here, this is from there.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like, who can say the most name brands?
- 25:09Speaker 8: Yeah, Hermes more than anybody else.
- 25:11Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly. Like, we don't really care how much... your
- 25:16Speaker 6: bracelet costed or how much your earrings are. We care
- 25:21Speaker 6: like who you are.
- 25:21Speaker 5: And I love that.
- 25:24Speaker 8: It's such a good place for Blakeslee.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I'm so happy.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I was just going to say, okay, alpha fee is
- 25:29Speaker 3: on the list.
- 25:33Speaker 6: I feel like I'm very proud of my school and
- 25:34Speaker 6: like Greek life at my school. Not to say that
- 25:37Speaker 6: other schools are doing it wrong.
- 25:39Speaker 11: Right.
- 25:40Speaker 9: Of course.
- 25:40Speaker 6: In some ways, school societies and some environments, it's not
- 25:46Speaker 6: as inclusive and, like, can be very cutthroat. And, like,
- 25:50Speaker 6: I don't think money should be a problem, like, or, like,
- 25:53Speaker 6: a factor of whether you're going to get in the
- 25:55Speaker 6: sorority or not.
- 25:56Speaker 13: Totally.
- 25:57Speaker 2: It's, like, insane.
- 25:58Speaker 6: To me but it it is the reality especially like
- 26:01Speaker 6: Alabama or places like that where they really are like
- 26:04Speaker 6: hmm what are you wearing like oh where's your dress
- 26:07Speaker 6: from and then you say brand and they're like okay
- 26:10Speaker 6: oh like.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Totally Okay, guys, now we have Bailey.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Hi, Bailey. How are you?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Good.
- 26:32Speaker 8: How are you?
- 26:33Speaker 2: Good. So where do you go to school? I go
- 26:36Speaker 2: to Ole Miss. Oh, very fun.
- 26:39Speaker 10: Yes, it's so fun.
- 26:41Speaker 8: It's good to have a Down south, girl.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Yeah, we're kind of on the topic of, you know,
- 26:48Speaker 1: sorority rush and what the girls are wearing nowadays during,
- 26:54Speaker 1: you know, recruitment and the rush process. I think, especially
- 26:59Speaker 1: where it's viral on TikTok, so a lot of the
- 27:01Speaker 1: schools down south tend to.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Be a little.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I guess, focused on the name brands that they're wearing and,
- 27:09Speaker 1: you know, a little bit more pinpointed to that for
- 27:13Speaker 1: what they want to wear for during their rounds of Rush.
- 27:16Speaker 1: But coming from Ole Miss, do you feel like that
- 27:21Speaker 1: is as important and that's kind of what girls are
- 27:24Speaker 1: focusing on?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Or do you think or just give us some insight
- 27:28Speaker 2: about that?
- 27:29Speaker 1: That and what is like the and what girls are
- 27:32Speaker 1: spending for their rush outfits I.
- 27:34Speaker 13: Think people definitely like spend a lot like a lot
- 27:37Speaker 13: of people have super nice like jewelry and like shoes
- 27:39Speaker 13: and like clothes in general and like a lot of
- 27:42Speaker 13: girls are wearing like similar brands like there's a lot
- 27:44Speaker 13: of like Amanda Uprichard like Farm Rio and then obviously
- 27:48Speaker 13: like more like designer brands like girls are wearing.
- 27:51Speaker 10: Like Gucci shoes and, like, whatever.
- 27:53Speaker 13: But I feel like, I mean, people definitely care a
- 27:57Speaker 13: little bit what you're wearing just in the sense that it's, like,
- 28:00Speaker 13: you don't want to be, like, too revealing or, like, not, like,
- 28:03Speaker 13: fancy enough. Like, you don't want to be overly casual for, like,
- 28:06Speaker 13: the different rounds because they get, like, progressively more fancy,
- 28:10Speaker 13: I guess.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I don't know. Or, like, formal. Yeah, you dress up
- 28:13Speaker 2: more and more.
- 28:14Speaker 13: Yeah, you, like, dress up more, like, the further you, like,
- 28:17Speaker 13: get through the rounds. But I definitely say that, like,
- 28:20Speaker 13: standing out or like having something different is honestly like
- 28:23Speaker 13: now I feel like better than having something like nice.
- 28:26Speaker 13: Cause so many girls are wearing like the same skirts,
- 28:29Speaker 13: the same dresses, the same shoes.
- 28:32Speaker 10: And like, even though they, they may cost.
- 28:34Speaker 13: A lot more money, it's going to be a lot
- 28:35Speaker 13: more like memorable and you get more compliments if you're
- 28:38Speaker 13: wearing something that's like unique.
- 28:40Speaker 8: I love that.
- 28:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:41Speaker 12: I feel like that, like if everybody looks the same,
- 28:43Speaker 12: You know, a lot of us, when we dress, it
- 28:45Speaker 12: kind of, like, reveals our personality. And so if everybody's
- 28:48Speaker 12: dressing the same, like, are you really getting to know
- 28:51Speaker 12: the girls that are rushing your house?
- 28:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:54Speaker 13: But, yeah, I think a lot of girls, like, end
- 28:56Speaker 13: up matching with even, like, actives in the house because, like,
- 28:59Speaker 13: they also wear, like, Once you get further in the rounds, like,
- 29:02Speaker 13: they also are wearing, like, dresses and shoes and stuff. Like,
- 29:05Speaker 13: nice heels or, like, espadrilles or sandals or whatever.
- 29:08Speaker 10: So, I think that it's also just.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Like, better.
- 29:11Speaker 13: Like, I know for the first rounds, you wear, like,
- 29:14Speaker 13: shorts or, like, a skirt. But, like, I've seen, like,
- 29:16Speaker 13: more recently a lot of girls doing, like, longer skirts. Like,
- 29:19Speaker 13: just that's something different. Or, like, a mini skirt just, like,
- 29:22Speaker 13: versus wearing just, like, shorts or, like, a mini skirt.
- 29:25Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 29:26Speaker 12: Have you seen anybody like super over the top when
- 29:28Speaker 12: they walked in? You're like, oh my gosh, what are
- 29:30Speaker 12: they wearing?
- 29:31Speaker 13: I think there's definitely people who do go like really
- 29:35Speaker 13: like formal or really like out there, like super like puffy,
- 29:39Speaker 13: like for the first round like t-shirts and then like
- 29:42Speaker 13: bottom like you pick your bottoms but I've seen people
- 29:45Speaker 13: wearing like cowboy boots like really like bright like pink
- 29:49Speaker 13: sparkly cowboy boots or just like super tall like pumps
- 29:52Speaker 13: that like it's like really cool and unique but maybe
- 29:56Speaker 13: not the most practical because you are walking around and
- 29:59Speaker 13: it's like super hot out and everything so it's just
- 30:02Speaker 13: kind of like funny but a lot of people wear
- 30:04Speaker 13: like flip-flops and then change like right before you go
- 30:06Speaker 13: into the house or like slippers because like it's just
- 30:09Speaker 13: you can't be in that all day when you're like
- 30:10Speaker 13: walking around and it's 100 degrees and humid but yeah
- 30:14Speaker 13: people definitely are out there with their outfits.
- 30:16Speaker 8: Which is fun I rushed in the 80s. I'm very old.
- 30:19Speaker 12: And I remember, I still remember my feet hurting. I
- 30:22Speaker 12: went to University of Maryland and it's a very large campus,
- 30:24Speaker 12: probably like where you go. And I remember like dying
- 30:29Speaker 12: and thinking, God, I can't do this again tomorrow.
- 30:31Speaker 8: My feet are dead.
- 30:32Speaker 6: I know.
- 30:32Speaker 13: There's definitely like a lot of people have like band-aids
- 30:35Speaker 13: in their bags and like the blister like patches.
- 30:38Speaker 10: So it's definitely just part of it.
- 30:40Speaker 12: I love that the ballet flats are coming back. So
- 30:42Speaker 12: maybe that's good for the future.
- 30:44Speaker 2: They are coming back.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Well, yeah, because you have to just put them in
- 30:47Speaker 1: your bag and just as like a safety backup when
- 30:50Speaker 1: you're like walking around.
- 30:51Speaker 8: They still look cute.
- 30:52Speaker 1: But I think that's kind of like the moral of this.
- 30:55Speaker 1: You know, wherever you go to school, there's obviously girls
- 30:57Speaker 1: that are going to go over the top and there's
- 30:59Speaker 1: girls that are going to, you know, maybe not. I
- 31:02Speaker 1: think whatever you do choose to wear, as long as
- 31:05Speaker 1: you just, you know, portray your most authentic self while
- 31:09Speaker 1: also being modest and also trying to, you know, Give
- 31:13Speaker 1: your best self forward. I think that's like all you
- 31:16Speaker 1: guys could ask for.
- 31:17Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 31:18Speaker 12: Trending wise, it seems like so. Like I said, I
- 31:21Speaker 12: went to school in the 80s. It seems like over
- 31:23Speaker 12: the years and now here we are at 2026 where
- 31:25Speaker 12: things are really over the top. You think that trend
- 31:28Speaker 12: is going to continue? Because now I hear from a
- 31:30Speaker 12: bunch of you girls that they have a T-shirt that
- 31:32Speaker 12: they wear for at least the beginning rounds. like I
- 31:35Speaker 12: think that kind of tones things down and it stops
- 31:38Speaker 12: the ramping up so early in the process. Do you
- 31:40Speaker 12: think that there's going to be a trend that maybe
- 31:44Speaker 12: like this over the top expectation is going to be
- 31:48Speaker 12: like tamped down a little bit?
- 31:49Speaker 13: I think like maybe, and also especially like people who
- 31:52Speaker 13: go to California schools, like a lot of my friends
- 31:55Speaker 13: who go to like, or like even West Coast schools
- 31:57Speaker 13: in general, like their rush, they wear like denim shorts
- 32:00Speaker 13: or like even like borderline, like nicer athletic shorts, like,
- 32:05Speaker 13: to their first days of rush with the t-shirt versus
- 32:08Speaker 13: like going somewhere more Southern, like no one is wearing
- 32:11Speaker 13: anything like that. Like everyone's like much more formal, like
- 32:14Speaker 13: in a nicer mini skirt or like nice, like dressy shorts.
- 32:18Speaker 13: So I think that it also just like depends where
- 32:20Speaker 13: you go, but I feel like it is still really
- 32:23Speaker 13: important to.
- 32:24Speaker 10: Like look formal.
- 32:27Speaker 13: And I feel like a lot of people like misconstrue
- 32:29Speaker 13: that with, being expensive rather than like what actually like
- 32:34Speaker 13: matching the formality is, if that like makes sense.
- 32:37Speaker 1: And I think a lot of the girls that came
- 32:38Speaker 1: on today as well were saying that a lot of
- 32:40Speaker 1: the sororities are now posting mood boards and kind of
- 32:44Speaker 1: just like little things so people can grab, like grab
- 32:47Speaker 1: some ideas, see what is expected for each round.
- 32:50Speaker 2: And I think that's super helpful as well.
- 32:52Speaker 10: Yeah, I'd agree.
- 32:53Speaker 13: Okay.
- 32:54Speaker 12: I love the idea of the mood board because you're
- 32:56Speaker 12: not arriving at on campus with the wrong outfits and
- 32:58Speaker 12: it's too late at that point. I mean, I guess
- 33:00Speaker 12: you could, you know, have things rush ordered and delivered.
- 33:03Speaker 12: But I mean, when do you think the girls start
- 33:06Speaker 12: shopping for their outfits? Like how soon before they are
- 33:09Speaker 12: headed to school? When I went to school, we showed
- 33:11Speaker 12: up with like the stuff we already owned and a comforter.
- 33:14Speaker 12: So things are so different now.
- 33:17Speaker 13: I think girls definitely start shopping like super early, like
- 33:21Speaker 13: for their dorms, probably like right when they get in.
- 33:23Speaker 13: I know people start like looking for stuff and like
- 33:26Speaker 13: a lot of people have like monogrammed pillows or like
- 33:28Speaker 13: monogrammed like jewelry trays, like all that stuff obviously takes
- 33:31Speaker 13: like longer to come. And some people get like actual
- 33:34Speaker 13: furniture for their dorm. So like obviously those things have
- 33:38Speaker 13: longer lead times as well. But for Rush, I think
- 33:42Speaker 13: it also just depends where you live and like where
- 33:44Speaker 13: you're coming from. Cause I know people whose parents were
- 33:47Speaker 13: like super involved and like their moms were like doing
- 33:49Speaker 13: all the shopping and like, finding all the things. And
- 33:52Speaker 13: then I know girls who did like rent the runway
- 33:54Speaker 13: or like newly and just like had never tried it on.
- 33:57Speaker 2: That's so smart too. Pickle or rent the runway.
- 34:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Or any of those rental clothing services, even for handbags
- 34:06Speaker 1: as well.
- 34:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:07Speaker 2: That is so smart.
- 34:08Speaker 13: Because you can just get everything you need and like
- 34:10Speaker 13: not have to, I mean, a lot of this stuff
- 34:12Speaker 13: you're not going to want to wear again or like
- 34:13Speaker 13: you might just not have a lot of occasions to
- 34:15Speaker 13: wear it too again.
- 34:16Speaker 10: So yeah, I think it's a range.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Thank
- 34:21Speaker 2: you for coming on.
- 34:22Speaker 8: Thank you. You gave us good insight. And what year
- 34:25Speaker 8: are you in?
- 34:25Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 34:26Speaker 10: A sophomore.
- 34:27Speaker 2: You're a sophomore.
- 34:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 34:28Speaker 8: Well, good luck this year.
- 34:29Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Okay. Well, that was such a great episode of Dirty Rush.
- 34:35Speaker 1: We got a lot of insight on to how the
- 34:37Speaker 1: girls should be dressing during Rush. Obviously, some girls, a
- 34:42Speaker 1: bigger price range than others. But I think we also
- 34:45Speaker 1: got some really good insight from some of the girls
- 34:48Speaker 1: on some more realistic ways to get these outfits like
- 34:52Speaker 1: dupes or even run the runway, which I thought was
- 34:54Speaker 1: such a good one. But that is it for this
- 34:57Speaker 1: week's episode of Dirty Rush. Thank you so much for
- 34:59Speaker 1: joining us this week. Make sure you follow us on
