- 0:15Speaker 2: your new crew at the Favorites Kendra Middleton, the Prime
- 0:19Speaker 2: Minister of Degenerate Nations Stucky. On today's show, we're going
- 0:23Speaker 2: to submit our official plays for week two in the
- 0:26Speaker 2: NFL Sides, Totals, props, parlays, anything and everything.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Is on the table.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Like and subscribe wherever you are tuned in, Kendra, The
- 0:36Speaker 2: feat conversation from our first episode together as a trio
- 0:41Speaker 2: took on a life of its own. Almost everybody that
- 0:44Speaker 2: I know that reached out to me about the podcast
- 0:46Speaker 2: had something to say about it. How is the reaction
- 0:49Speaker 2: and that's just me. How is the reaction on your
- 0:52Speaker 2: end to our first episode? I imagine some new weird
- 0:56Speaker 2: followers might be in the mix as.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Well, so many new strange followers.
- 1:01Speaker 4: The response that I got was very much, how is
- 1:04Speaker 4: this a conversation that comes up anytime somebody meets you?
- 1:08Speaker 4: Always the first two things that come up are the
- 1:11Speaker 4: feet and the shrimp, the two things that people want
- 1:13Speaker 4: to talk about all the time consistently.
- 1:16Speaker 3: That was the reaction that I got Outside of I.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Don't remember the name. What was the crazy username? I
- 1:20Speaker 4: texted you guys that followed me, and I was just like, wow.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I think I already blocked that out of
- 1:26Speaker 1: my mind.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Some of the really like, really weird people.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I got some dms asking if people could sniff my
- 1:33Speaker 4: the between of my.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Toes and stuff. But we can. We can move on
- 1:36Speaker 3: from the feed talk somehow. That is always what comes
- 1:39Speaker 3: up with me, though. I guess when you Google me,
- 1:41Speaker 3: it's one of the top things that pops up.
- 1:43Speaker 2: So well, I mean it was it was a get
- 1:46Speaker 2: to know you episode, stucky what about you? Early early
- 1:49Speaker 2: returns from the Trial by Fire episode.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Yeah, people liked it so not everyone liked the feet conversation.
- 1:54Speaker 5: But I said that those people are like closeted. Maybe
- 1:58Speaker 5: those the people that really have the fetishes that are
- 2:00Speaker 5: just trying to hide it. But I do have breaking news.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Oh my god. No, they I went and got Zaxby's
- 2:07Speaker 5: this morning.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Nice.
- 2:10Speaker 5: They forgot the sauce.
- 2:11Speaker 2: No, So here's the thing with Zaxby's. You have to
- 2:16Speaker 2: ask for it, you would I have to zack sauce. Okay,
- 2:20Speaker 2: all right.
- 2:21Speaker 3: You can't not have the sauce. Oh my God, this
- 2:23Speaker 3: is horrible.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yep, yeah, that's crazy.
- 2:29Speaker 5: My before was open at ten thirty recording a ten
- 2:32Speaker 5: to forty five. I flew back and there's no sauce. Wait,
- 2:36Speaker 5: maybe it's in.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I think you need to go back.
- 2:41Speaker 5: No sauce, so I can't really judge you to call
- 2:43Speaker 5: them next week. I will get the sauce as well,
- 2:48Speaker 5: but no feedback was good overall. My dog is uh
- 2:54Speaker 5: God had of surgery and uh it went okay. He's
- 2:58Speaker 5: he's hurting. It's in a lot of pain after a
- 3:01Speaker 5: CCL surgery. I mean you're like down for the count
- 3:03Speaker 5: for weeks and you're just drugged and it's painful. I've
- 3:07Speaker 5: had two ACL surgery, so I can only imagine. I'm
- 3:11Speaker 5: it wasn't the worst pain I ever had, but it
- 3:13Speaker 5: was close after the surgery A my a cl like
- 3:16Speaker 5: the just the absolute throbbing pain at some point when
- 3:21Speaker 5: the pain killers weren't kicked in. What is the I'll
- 3:24Speaker 5: ask you guys, what is the worst pain that you've
- 3:27Speaker 5: ever felt in your life? For me, I think it
- 3:31Speaker 5: was a tooth absess I had one time, and there
- 3:35Speaker 5: was nothing I could There's nothing you can do about
- 3:36Speaker 5: it until you go to the dentist that night. I
- 3:39Speaker 5: was like screaming into a pillow, was the way. It
- 3:43Speaker 5: was like unfathomable pain. That was the worst I've ever felt.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I would say the hardest.
- 3:49Speaker 4: The hardest thing about dogs is that you can't explain
- 3:52Speaker 4: to them what's going on, so they're just in pain
- 3:54Speaker 4: and you don't know why, and it makes you really upset.
- 3:56Speaker 4: My dog had got attacked by another dog two Christmases
- 3:59Speaker 4: ago and had to have his throat stapled shut, and
- 4:01Speaker 4: it was like the most like miserable experience ever, just
- 4:04Speaker 4: because he was so sad and I couldn't explain to
- 4:07Speaker 4: him what was going on, and he's just drugged out.
- 4:10Speaker 3: So I am. I empathize with you so hard through
- 4:13Speaker 3: this most I won't.
- 4:15Speaker 4: I can't talk about the most painful thing that I've
- 4:17Speaker 4: ever experienced because it was like some lady issues, and
- 4:20Speaker 4: I don't think our audience wants to go through that.
- 4:22Speaker 3: But I will say when my.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Gallbladder ruptured, that was pretty bad because I don't fit
- 4:27Speaker 4: the demographic. I was like seventeen or eighteen, so I
- 4:29Speaker 4: didn't fit the demographic of someone who would have a
- 4:32Speaker 4: gullbladder rupturing. So it took them a while to find it,
- 4:35Speaker 4: and I felt like I was fucking dying.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I can't even imagine at how about you, Graham.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I took TCU plus the points against Georgia in the
- 4:45Speaker 2: National Championship game.
- 4:46Speaker 1: That was pretty painful. But other than that, I was
- 4:49Speaker 1: a bartender in a.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Past I mean less though you knew it was.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Over, it was like, yeah, it was a quick, swift
- 4:57Speaker 2: punch to the punch.
- 4:59Speaker 1: To the groin.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I had this nerve pain in my foot, which doesn't
- 5:02Speaker 2: sound that extreme, but anywhere. I was a bartender in
- 5:07Speaker 2: a past life, so I was on my feet a lot,
- 5:09Speaker 2: and then I had this pain like right in the
- 5:11Speaker 2: middle of my foot and trying to stay on your
- 5:14Speaker 2: feet walk back and forth all day and act like
- 5:16Speaker 2: you're not in writhing pain. It was probably, off the
- 5:19Speaker 2: top of my head, the most pain that I've been in.
- 5:22Speaker 1: But I feel for you.
- 5:23Speaker 2: On the dog stuff, I've got a thirteen year old
- 5:25Speaker 2: Mini Australian shepherd who somehow has been hanging on, somehow
- 5:29Speaker 2: been hanging on.
- 5:30Speaker 1: With with some level of health. So I'm sure, I'm sure,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I'm sure.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Depressing stories are right around the corner from the Crabit's household.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Yeah, was our last dog. I don't know how people
- 5:43Speaker 5: deal with their dog passing like so I've been lucky
- 5:46Speaker 5: enough to never our childhood dog. I was in college
- 5:50Speaker 5: when he passed, so I didn't have to like see
- 5:53Speaker 5: it at the time. Girlfriend's dog now wife, she had
- 6:00Speaker 5: her childhood dog followed. He was a bar dog. He
- 6:03Speaker 5: would go to the bar with her and like he
- 6:04Speaker 5: was the best dog. He's an Austine Shepherd as well.
- 6:07Speaker 5: And at the end, it was he hit the end
- 6:09Speaker 5: of his line and she couldn't see it happen, so
- 6:13Speaker 5: like he went. He went to her parents' house for
- 6:17Speaker 5: like the last two weeks. I was like before they
- 6:19Speaker 5: had to go put him down, and we would just
- 6:20Speaker 5: go there and visit it all the time and lay
- 6:21Speaker 5: with him. But she couldn't see him twenty four hours.
- 6:23Speaker 5: But I wasn't that close to them, like we only
- 6:25Speaker 5: just started dating. So I like the actual like process
- 6:29Speaker 5: of that and driving them to I don't know how
- 6:33Speaker 5: anyone has ever. I don't know how I'm ever going
- 6:34Speaker 5: to deal with it, but yeah we can. Let's talk
- 6:37Speaker 5: about more more painful things, which is uhy still beats.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Yeah exactly, especially on a day like today for all
- 6:46Speaker 2: of us. If you're looking at the date, hard not
- 6:48Speaker 2: to stand out to you for very obvious reasons. So
- 6:51Speaker 2: if we can be a distraction to you, it is
- 6:53Speaker 2: certainly something that we we wear.
- 6:55Speaker 1: With with some honor.
- 6:57Speaker 2: The Thursday show is going to be pay heavy, and
- 7:00Speaker 2: we're going to start.
- 7:02Speaker 1: With the shrimply unbelievable stat.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Of the week, courtesy of Action Network Director of Research
- 7:08Speaker 2: Evan Abrams, in collaboration, of course, with Kendra's pets Monica
- 7:12Speaker 2: Lashimsky and Oj Shrimpson. We had to check in on
- 7:16Speaker 2: them for the latest stats. I'm sure that they will
- 7:20Speaker 2: be getting a check from Action any moment now. Detroit
- 7:23Speaker 2: opened is a four and a half point favorite. They're
- 7:25Speaker 2: now out to six against the Chicago Bears. The Lions
- 7:28Speaker 2: looked pretty off last week without Ben Johnson, and now's
- 7:31Speaker 2: the real tests of who's the real engine of that
- 7:34Speaker 2: Detroit offense? Is it Detroit or is it Ben Johnson?
- 7:37Speaker 2: And keep this in mind, the Lions have won and
- 7:40Speaker 2: covered their last ten games after a straight up loss,
- 7:44Speaker 2: including a four to zho stretch against teams inside of
- 7:47Speaker 2: their division. Is that enough to make you and your
- 7:50Speaker 2: pregnant shrimp back the Lions.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Kendra, where are you at?
- 7:55Speaker 4: I'm going to say no, I don't think I want
- 7:58Speaker 4: anything to do with this game, just because I am
- 8:02Speaker 4: so far gone on the Lions this season. You can't
- 8:05Speaker 4: lose both your coordinators and a lot of your staff
- 8:07Speaker 4: under them and continue to be successful. We talked about
- 8:10Speaker 4: this on the Tuesday Show a little bit. I'm just
- 8:13Speaker 4: you can't. Until the Lions show me who they are
- 8:15Speaker 4: this season, I can't put my hard earned American dollar
- 8:18Speaker 4: behind them. And my other thing with Chicago is that
- 8:22Speaker 4: I love Ben Johnson.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I really wanted him for the Jags.
- 8:25Speaker 4: I love Liam Cohen as well, But why would they
- 8:28Speaker 4: hire a head coach whose big thing is having a
- 8:31Speaker 4: script for his quarterback and put them put him with
- 8:34Speaker 4: someone like Caleb Williams, who's you know, bread and butter
- 8:37Speaker 4: is the opposite of that. So until these teams kind
- 8:39Speaker 4: of find their footing, until they show me who they are,
- 8:41Speaker 4: I'm not going to listen. I'm not gonna put my
- 8:43Speaker 4: dollar behind them. I just I don't know where this
- 8:47Speaker 4: this game is going to go. I have zero gut feeling,
- 8:50Speaker 4: and I'm a gut feeling better. I just I cannot
- 8:53Speaker 4: I'm not there I feel like.
- 8:55Speaker 2: This is a really good tease opportunity with that number
- 8:58Speaker 2: still at six, bring that down to pick and pair
- 9:01Speaker 2: it with another that you like, and we can give
- 9:03Speaker 2: some other options.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Stuck, where do you end up landing on this?
- 9:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I have nothing as of now. I mean, I
- 9:10Speaker 5: it's not a great spot for the Bears. Right They're
- 9:12Speaker 5: played on Monday night football, going on the road now,
- 9:16Speaker 5: so shorter week, and they have some defensive injuries which
- 9:19Speaker 5: are worth monitoring. A couple of their starting cornerbacks Grady
- 9:21Speaker 5: Jared didn't practice yesterday, so they might be shorthanded defensively,
- 9:25Speaker 5: But I want nothing to do with Detroit. Also, I
- 9:28Speaker 5: mean you look at Tanner Engstram, what he's doing with
- 9:31Speaker 5: the Jets. He was on that staff last year, and
- 9:34Speaker 5: justin fields, that offense looked incredible. Caleb Williams, it's gonna
- 9:39Speaker 5: maybe it never works, but at the bare minimum, based
- 9:41Speaker 5: on what I saw, it's gonna take time. And he
- 9:44Speaker 5: was still inaccurate his off throw target Rave was still
- 9:47Speaker 5: too high. So yeah, look, and this is the story,
- 9:50Speaker 5: guy you just said. Under Dan Campbell rally game after
- 9:53Speaker 5: a loss indoors Jared Goff against the potentially short handed defense,
- 9:57Speaker 5: but that offense, I just don't trust that. The the
- 10:00Speaker 5: interior offensive line way down, the play calling, the like,
- 10:04Speaker 5: just everything was so short. There was no easy button.
- 10:06Speaker 5: So this is pure pass on National revenge weekend. There's
- 10:11Speaker 5: revenge matchups all over Super Bowl revenge, just as a
- 10:14Speaker 5: revenge DK Metcalf against the Steelers. There's a bunch of them.
- 10:18Speaker 5: This one I'm just gonna enjoy. I have Lions win
- 10:21Speaker 5: total under I took some Bears flyers, so I'll be
- 10:24Speaker 5: rooting for the Bears, but I'm passing on this game.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Great tweet by you, by the way, with laying out
- 10:30Speaker 2: all of the revenge narratives this weekend in the NFL,
- 10:33Speaker 2: it's good stuff.
- 10:35Speaker 3: I did enjoy that.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I think I also read a stat that will last
- 10:38Speaker 4: week was the first time the Lions hadn't had a
- 10:40Speaker 4: stack in like two or three seasons. I think that
- 10:43Speaker 4: the big thing for Caleb Williams this week, if they're
- 10:45Speaker 4: going to be successful, is you have to get his
- 10:48Speaker 4: confidence up. He has to score first drive, and you
- 10:50Speaker 4: cannot deviate from that plan because what I've noticed with
- 10:53Speaker 4: him is that the second his confidence is gone, that's
- 10:56Speaker 4: when he gets down on himself, he gets down on
- 10:58Speaker 4: his team, he loses his ability to keep his mind
- 11:01Speaker 4: in check. So if you want Caleb Williams to be successful,
- 11:04Speaker 4: he has to score opening drive and you have to
- 11:06Speaker 4: keep his confidence up, even if that's you know, not
- 11:08Speaker 4: calling the game that you want to call to better
- 11:11Speaker 4: suit him. I think that that has to be their
- 11:14Speaker 4: game of attack this week is keeping Caleb Williams mind
- 11:16Speaker 4: in check, making sure that you're giving him easy checkdowns,
- 11:19Speaker 4: all of those types of things, and score opening drive.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm so curious to how it all works with like,
- 11:25Speaker 5: in order to operate the Ben Johnson offense optimally, you
- 11:28Speaker 5: have to understand what he wants to do. Strategic you
- 11:31Speaker 5: that you have to take those easy throws, make those
- 11:33Speaker 5: quick reads. How does how did like they find that
- 11:36Speaker 5: happy balance of like okay, but Caleb Williams some of
- 11:39Speaker 5: what he can do. Yeah, the best is the off
- 11:42Speaker 5: script things. How do they marry those two things? And
- 11:44Speaker 5: maybe it's just they never end up getting married, And
- 11:48Speaker 5: so I'm fascinated to watch how this progresses throughout the season.
- 11:52Speaker 5: But it's not there yet, And I think it's unfair
- 11:55Speaker 5: to think that they would be right right on the
- 11:57Speaker 5: same page in Week one, again the good Vikings defense,
- 12:01Speaker 5: so we'll see how it progresses, and we'll see how
- 12:02Speaker 5: the lines offense progresses without some of their coaches and
- 12:05Speaker 5: their intoier offensive line. So definitely a good data point
- 12:08Speaker 5: early in the season.
- 12:09Speaker 2: One of the other ones that I saw that came
- 12:12Speaker 2: from Evans phenomenal research the primer, if you have not
- 12:16Speaker 2: made that a part of your weekly routine as a
- 12:18Speaker 2: sports better, you are missing out on valuable information. The
- 12:22Speaker 2: market loves the idea of a shiny new toy toy
- 12:25Speaker 2: coming in and dethroning Patrick Mahomes, unless it's the Super Bowl,
- 12:29Speaker 2: because I believe the betting splits had the Chiefs getting
- 12:32Speaker 2: a lot of money from the betters in terms of
- 12:35Speaker 2: that last Super Bowl. But in the regular season, Mahomes
- 12:38Speaker 2: is closed as a two and a half point favorite
- 12:40Speaker 2: or shorter at home eight times, so a small favorite
- 12:43Speaker 2: or a dog in all eight.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Of those games.
- 12:46Speaker 2: He's never seen a line move in his direction between
- 12:49Speaker 2: open and close. I find that absolutely fascinating that you
- 12:54Speaker 2: have Mahomes is either a short favorite or an underdog,
- 12:57Speaker 2: and money doesn't just pour in from from from the
- 13:01Speaker 2: public or the sharp's enough to move the line in
- 13:04Speaker 2: the direction of the Kansas City Chiefs. And yet again,
- 13:07Speaker 2: if you look at the line and maybe the Jalen
- 13:08Speaker 2: Carterner's news Kendras, he did not get suspended.
- 13:12Speaker 3: You were right on that one.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they and they came out with that exit with
- 13:15Speaker 2: with that exact phrasing of well he already served the suspension,
- 13:19Speaker 2: So there you are.
- 13:19Speaker 1: But I find that stat fascinating.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I here's my thing with this game.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I didn't put this down as something that I'm going
- 13:29Speaker 4: to bet, and I wish that I had gotten in
- 13:30Speaker 4: on it a little earlier. But the fact that they're
- 13:33Speaker 4: going to be without you know, potentially exacer' worthy.
- 13:35Speaker 3: He's been ruled out correct or does it?
- 13:37Speaker 4: It's not trending in that way that he's going to pay.
- 13:40Speaker 5: I don't think he's like there's a chance he would
- 13:42Speaker 5: play with a brace, but I doubt that they would.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the thing is.
- 13:48Speaker 4: You can you can give me the Patrick Mahomes stats
- 13:50Speaker 4: and narratives and everything like that.
- 13:51Speaker 3: They also just traveled back from Brazil.
- 13:53Speaker 4: That is a tough that's a lot of travel, a
- 13:56Speaker 4: lot more than like just a West coast situation or
- 13:58Speaker 4: you know, in a way after an away game coming
- 14:01Speaker 4: back home.
- 14:01Speaker 3: That's that's stressful, especially after a loss.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Travis Kelcey is old and distracted and feeling guilty for
- 14:07Speaker 4: injuring Xavier Worthy. He came out on his podcast and
- 14:10Speaker 4: said that there was no excuse for it and that
- 14:11Speaker 4: he felt really bad. Obviously, where she Rice is suspended,
- 14:15Speaker 4: I just without Xavier Worthy, no where she raced. Travis
- 14:17Speaker 4: Kelsey being as old as he is and in his
- 14:19Speaker 4: own head, I just don't see, with how the Eagles
- 14:22Speaker 4: looked last week and the revenge tour that Jalen Carter
- 14:26Speaker 4: is going to be on this week, how they're going
- 14:29Speaker 4: to be able to overcome that even at home.
- 14:33Speaker 5: I disagree. I'm on the Chiefs. I bet the Chiefs.
- 14:36Speaker 5: I'd like, Yes, it's part of it is Mahomes catching
- 14:39Speaker 5: points at home. And he's twelve to two and one
- 14:41Speaker 5: against the spread as an underdog in his career eighty
- 14:43Speaker 5: six percent. A lot of times he's gone up against
- 14:46Speaker 5: teams with better rosters. I mean, how the AFC Championship game,
- 14:50Speaker 5: I had tons of Ravens futures. I'll never forget that game.
- 14:54Speaker 5: The Ravens were better. I think they closed it.
- 14:56Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 14:56Speaker 5: Four and a half five point favorites, and Chiefs did
- 15:00Speaker 5: it again. But they've done it so many times, and
- 15:03Speaker 5: when their roster is shorthanded or they're gone up against
- 15:05Speaker 5: a more talented team, I get it. It's it's very
- 15:09Speaker 5: concerning they're running games concerning their lack of receiving options.
- 15:12Speaker 5: But it feels like a game to me where Mahomes
- 15:15Speaker 5: will just find a way, they'll span the middle of
- 15:17Speaker 5: the field. And the Eagles defense lost a lot, and
- 15:21Speaker 5: there we talked about the Lions coordinator, the Eagles lost
- 15:26Speaker 5: Kellen Moore and that offense. Granted it's one week so
- 15:29Speaker 5: you don't really want to overreact too much, but we
- 15:32Speaker 5: saw this a couple years ago with the Eagles with
- 15:33Speaker 5: a new offense coordinator. It was a disaster and their
- 15:37Speaker 5: offense looked awful. I mean there was no creativity, there
- 15:40Speaker 5: was no innovation. So I'm worried about and maybe a J.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Brown's not fully healthy and you'll have one target, So
- 15:46Speaker 5: I'm worried about the Eagles offense as well. Their defense
- 15:49Speaker 5: is attackable. It feels like a Chiefs classic Chiefs voodoo game.
- 15:54Speaker 5: They just find a way to win on like a
- 15:55Speaker 5: walk off field goal.
- 15:56Speaker 3: It's it's a DeVante Smith game.
- 15:58Speaker 4: For me.
- 15:58Speaker 3: That's the only option for them here. He's got to
- 16:01Speaker 3: be the guy.
- 16:02Speaker 4: I just when I look at this Chiefs team and
- 16:04Speaker 4: this Chief's roster and their struggles and everything else, I
- 16:07Speaker 4: still believe in Patrick Mahomes. I think that he is
- 16:08Speaker 4: the second coming of Jesus Christ. I hate their fan base.
- 16:11Speaker 4: I think his family's annoying, whatever, But I think that
- 16:14Speaker 4: they're going through something similar that the Patriots did between
- 16:17Speaker 4: when they won the Super Bowl and what like two
- 16:20Speaker 4: thousand and four and two thousand and five and then
- 16:21Speaker 4: their next super.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Bowl that they won. They need a little bit of retooling.
- 16:24Speaker 4: They need a little bit of a roster change, a
- 16:25Speaker 4: little bit of turnover just to keep Patrick Mahomes at
- 16:28Speaker 4: the tier that Brady was and keep chasing his numbers.
- 16:31Speaker 3: It's just I have the undergund the Chiefs win total
- 16:34Speaker 3: for the year.
- 16:34Speaker 4: I think that they just need a retooling around Mahomes
- 16:37Speaker 4: to get back to winning super Bowls again.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Yeah, who was supposed to work? Who was supposed to
- 16:42Speaker 5: be explosed? This is going to be the explosive offense,
- 16:44Speaker 5: But that was supposed to be Worthy and Rice and
- 16:47Speaker 5: now you're without either, so that's your back to like,
- 16:50Speaker 5: and then your defense isn't as good on the back
- 16:51Speaker 5: ends you're back to like. I got to dink and dunk.
- 16:54Speaker 5: I gotta just hope the play calling is phenomenal and
- 16:58Speaker 5: Mahomes is just on. But I did like him throwing
- 17:01Speaker 5: down the field. He was the least throwing down the
- 17:03Speaker 5: field against the Chargers. Maybe Thornton can have a big day,
- 17:05Speaker 5: but you got to break the tie here, Brandon, is.
- 17:08Speaker 3: This a jeorgiw Smith game?
- 17:11Speaker 1: I have a random prop for you.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I don't know if they're gonna even gonna make him available,
- 17:14Speaker 2: But Taekwan Thornton, Patrick Patrick Mahmes took three deep shots
- 17:19Speaker 2: to Taekwon Thornton in the first half of that game
- 17:23Speaker 2: against the Chargers.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I don't think he connected on any of them.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Maybe it was there was one at the most because
- 17:28Speaker 2: he had six Fantasy points on my bench, it's one
- 17:30Speaker 2: of the reasons I remember that. But it was all
- 17:32Speaker 2: in the first half. They're clearly trying to get the
- 17:34Speaker 2: ball to this guy, and if they're without Xavier Worthy,
- 17:37Speaker 2: well why get away from that?
- 17:39Speaker 1: It would have worked.
- 17:39Speaker 2: It was just you know, a dropped pass or a
- 17:41Speaker 2: slight overthrow from Mahomes. I think they go back to that.
- 17:45Speaker 2: His number, because he's an obscure player, will be crazy low.
- 17:48Speaker 2: So I'd keep an eye on that. I'll break the tie.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I'm on the Chiefs. It was one of the first
- 17:52Speaker 2: bets that I made this week. I also have a
- 17:55Speaker 2: fun one here if if you want to take Kansas
- 18:00Speaker 2: City sixty four and seven straight up since twenty eighteen
- 18:03Speaker 2: after having a lead in the first quarter, it's the
- 18:06Speaker 2: best win percentage of any team in the NFL, including
- 18:09Speaker 2: twenty nine to oh in the last three seasons when
- 18:12Speaker 2: they have a lead after one. So how about this,
- 18:14Speaker 2: Chiefs win the first quarter, Chiefs win the game plus
- 18:18Speaker 2: one forty five. If you want to look at this
- 18:20Speaker 2: a different way, Kendrew.
- 18:24Speaker 4: I was gonna say, I do have a little nugget
- 18:26Speaker 4: as like a look ahead. A little birdie told me
- 18:30Speaker 4: that the Chiefs might be looking at trading for Tyreek Hill.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I could see it, do it, So just a little
- 18:38Speaker 4: bit of a look ahead, maybe like a second of
- 18:39Speaker 4: the seat, second and second half of the season situation.
- 18:41Speaker 4: But it sounds it sounds like that might be a
- 18:43Speaker 4: possibility that could be on the board coming soon.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Would not be great for your season long under right.
- 18:48Speaker 3: There he's washed. I'm not worried about it.
- 18:52Speaker 5: I mean, I hope you'll help that based on whatever
- 18:54Speaker 5: they have now. But the Dolphins are gonna blow it
- 18:57Speaker 5: all up. I could so I could see a couple
- 18:58Speaker 5: of their players ending up elsewhere. Is our voice in
- 19:02Speaker 5: the sky, our own personal stapway, have an Abrams, Can
- 19:07Speaker 5: you look up something quickly? I know this is on
- 19:10Speaker 5: the spot because this these are two teams that are
- 19:14Speaker 5: I believe second half under gods. Because once either of
- 19:18Speaker 5: these teams gets a lead, all they want to all
- 19:21Speaker 5: they want to do is I got They'll just try
- 19:24Speaker 5: to hold the ball and go on like twelve minute
- 19:25Speaker 5: drives and they can and that Eagles can do that
- 19:28Speaker 5: run run, little pass, push push, and the Chiefs just
- 19:32Speaker 5: do that now because they only can move three yards
- 19:34Speaker 5: at a time. So these teams are the lead. I
- 19:36Speaker 5: mean we saw that in the Week one with the
- 19:39Speaker 5: Cowboys and Eagles game. Somehow going under what are the
- 19:41Speaker 5: Eagles last We'll say last five years, Eagles and Chiefs
- 19:45Speaker 5: second half unders, they got to be the top two.
- 19:50Speaker 5: I mean, just looking.
- 19:51Speaker 6: Up by quarterback, I feel like is the easiest way to go.
- 19:53Speaker 6: So Mahomes, you know Mahomes is he's seventy two fifty
- 19:56Speaker 6: seven and five career second half under.
- 20:00Speaker 5: And that was inclined. That was back when he was
- 20:01Speaker 5: explosive too. Though, like correct, I feel like lately Hurts
- 20:05Speaker 5: is good too. I mean forty thirty five and one.
- 20:08Speaker 6: But let's see, yeah, let's see like last few years
- 20:10Speaker 6: with Mahomes just to get the uh so Owen won
- 20:14Speaker 6: this year ten and nine. See the thing that skews
- 20:17Speaker 6: it all and I remember doing this in twenty three
- 20:19Speaker 6: he was seventeen and three to the second half under,
- 20:23Speaker 6: which skews it all every year of his career basically
- 20:26Speaker 6: around five hundred.
- 20:28Speaker 5: It's at home usually, I believe the home second half.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Hunders are like twenty nine and twelve or twenty nine
- 20:34Speaker 6: and thirteen last few years. So it's arrowhead where they
- 20:37Speaker 6: usually stop you second half, no points and they in
- 20:41Speaker 6: the game just strangle out the game.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Yeah, unreal that pulling that straight from the.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Dome, by the way, impressive, major flex for Ebony.
- 20:51Speaker 5: He's the voice of God.
- 20:52Speaker 1: You got to talk about this.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Brock Purty News Kyle Shanahan said that he is a
- 20:56Speaker 2: long shot to play this week and that it's likely
- 20:59Speaker 2: going to be a mole Ti week absence. Ian Rappaport
- 21:01Speaker 2: followed that up and said that Brock Parties expected to
- 21:04Speaker 2: miss two to five weeks with a turf toe variant.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I've never heard of this before. This is like a
- 21:09Speaker 2: Marvel Multiverse injury, a turftoe variant. Looked at PFF dot com,
- 21:14Speaker 2: they do a good job in terms of the UH
- 21:17Speaker 2: spread worthiness of these quarterbacks. He's worth three and a
- 21:20Speaker 2: half points to the spread according to the According to
- 21:22Speaker 2: their database, this line opened at minus seven for San Francisco,
- 21:26Speaker 2: So if you were to bake in that adjustment, that
- 21:28Speaker 2: would make the Niners three and a half point favorites.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Add a sprinkle of George Kittle news and some market
- 21:34Speaker 2: sentiment towards San Francisco, and actually, you know what, scratch
- 21:40Speaker 2: that action is tracking seventy one percent of the tickets
- 21:43Speaker 2: to New Orleans.
- 21:44Speaker 1: But it does get us to where we're at.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Niners minus three is the side stucky? Are you touching
- 21:49Speaker 2: this one or have you already?
- 21:52Speaker 5: I'm what I want to bet on this game. It's ugly,
- 21:56Speaker 5: so no one is gonna like this. I said to myself,
- 22:00Speaker 5: if party gets ruled out. What's gonna happen is the
- 22:01Speaker 5: line's gonna drop, and I want neither part of it.
- 22:04Speaker 5: I don't want any part of either side, but I
- 22:06Speaker 5: want to bet the over after the total comes down,
- 22:09Speaker 5: Like can it get into the thirties?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Talking in game or are you talking out pre game?
- 22:14Speaker 5: I just want to see how low it goes. Where
- 22:15Speaker 5: are we at now forty forty and a half? Have
- 22:18Speaker 5: I want to see if we can get into the
- 22:19Speaker 5: thirties because look, the talent for San fran isn't great.
- 22:24Speaker 5: It's Mac Jones, but it's still like a good play
- 22:26Speaker 5: call in Shanahan. It's not a great New Orleans defense.
- 22:29Speaker 5: The Niners defense was basically reset. I like some of
- 22:32Speaker 5: the things that the Saints offense did last week. It's
- 22:35Speaker 5: indoors two good play callers. And the Saints are going fast,
- 22:42Speaker 5: super fast. They were the fastest team Underkelmore. They were
- 22:46Speaker 5: the highest tempo in the league last week. So they're
- 22:49Speaker 5: spreading it out, going a lot eleven personnel and going
- 22:51Speaker 5: fast with tempo. And the Niners, what's their kicking situation
- 22:55Speaker 5: gonna be? Like maybe they're just gonna go forward to
- 22:56Speaker 5: more and fourth downs be a little bit more aggressive.
- 22:58Speaker 3: But can they sign Eddy Pinero?
- 23:00Speaker 5: Is that how they signed? I haven't even chin Well,
- 23:03Speaker 5: that's a huge upgrade. They won't miss. That's a huge
- 23:06Speaker 5: upgrade over Moody. You missed seven field goals a game.
- 23:10Speaker 1: The worst throws dart to that man's face at night.
- 23:14Speaker 5: They held on to him. This is why you never
- 23:17Speaker 5: draft kickers like Vin Terry wasn't drafted, Justin Tucker wasn't
- 23:23Speaker 5: drafted like a lot. You don't waste a third round
- 23:26Speaker 5: draft pick. They they selected Jake Moody in the third
- 23:30Speaker 5: round and that draft was one of the go book
- 23:34Speaker 5: up that draft. There was like Jyu Brown, Cameron Lay
- 23:38Speaker 5: to Robert Beale like nobody. I think de Winters is
- 23:42Speaker 5: like the their best drafting. But their second pick in
- 23:44Speaker 5: that draft was Jake Moody. Insane, don't draft a kicker.
- 23:46Speaker 5: And then they had Anchor By They just held onto
- 23:48Speaker 5: him for so long. So that's an upgrade, but ugly scary.
- 23:52Speaker 5: Who wants to bet Mac Jones Spencer Rattler over nobody.
- 23:56Speaker 5: But if this gets low enough indoors with some tempo,
- 23:59Speaker 5: Shannon and We'll still have some good stuff scripted up.
- 24:02Speaker 5: It's ugly That's what I'm looking at.
- 24:04Speaker 2: I do think you're gonna get into the thirties, Kendra.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Are you excited for the return of the Mac mac joe?
- 24:10Speaker 1: Okay?
- 24:11Speaker 4: First of all, you don't drop the kicker unless it's
- 24:14Speaker 4: Cam Little in the sixth round. Never miss an extra point,
- 24:17Speaker 4: high school, college or NFL fun sound rounds Okay? Now? Third,
- 24:22Speaker 4: agree a great second of all turf toe variant sounds
- 24:26Speaker 4: like some d shit.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Three.
- 24:30Speaker 4: I hate Mac Jones with every fiber of my being.
- 24:33Speaker 3: I hate him.
- 24:34Speaker 4: I told you guys, I was gonna let you know
- 24:36Speaker 4: why I hate him. Here is I will t ld
- 24:38Speaker 4: are this for you. One both from Jacksonville. He went
- 24:43Speaker 4: to like the hoity toity rich kid high school and
- 24:44Speaker 4: kicked everybody's ass in football because they recruited all the good.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Talent in town. Two.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I go to Auburn, he goes to Alabama. Three, I
- 24:54Speaker 4: transfer to you and h and he gets drafted by
- 24:57Speaker 4: the Patriots. Four I have to to watch him again
- 25:01Speaker 4: in Jacksonville after Trevor Lawrence gets hurt and watch him
- 25:03Speaker 4: throw more touchdowns to be TJ last season than Trevor Lawrence.
- 25:07Speaker 4: And now he's back in San Francisco. The only other
- 25:10Speaker 4: place I've ever lived that he hasn't that was mine
- 25:14Speaker 4: and now he's there.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Oh, I hate him so much. You have two d uys.
- 25:18Speaker 4: You get caught doing things that you should not do,
- 25:20Speaker 4: that your sister posted on the internet.
- 25:22Speaker 3: I hate him so much. I hate him. I hate him.
- 25:24Speaker 3: He's kicked my ass and every sport ever.
- 25:27Speaker 4: Except for when he was on the Jaguars and then
- 25:29Speaker 4: he forced.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Us to lose all these games because he's hot, garbage,
- 25:32Speaker 3: hot ass. I hate him.
- 25:34Speaker 4: I am I'm going to the Jags forty nine ers
- 25:36Speaker 4: game in San Francisco and I cannot wait to boo
- 25:39Speaker 4: that mf or.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Out of the stadium.
- 25:42Speaker 5: And you're gonna wear his DUI picture when he when
- 25:44Speaker 5: he was young and he's like crying, uh A smugshot, yeah.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Right on his face.
- 25:53Speaker 3: If he has no haters, I am dead.
- 25:56Speaker 5: I get I'm in the club. I'm in the Mac
- 25:59Speaker 5: Johns hater. I have a hilarious story. I don't know
- 26:01Speaker 5: how many people know this. When Matt before Mac Jones
- 26:04Speaker 5: committed to Alabama, he was committed to Kentucky and at
- 26:08Speaker 5: the time I was dating my wife who went to
- 26:11Speaker 5: University Kentucky. But it was much older than Mac Jones.
- 26:15Speaker 5: She's I don't know. At the time, mac Jones was
- 26:17Speaker 5: visiting Kentucky. This is twenty fifteen. I think he was
- 26:21Speaker 5: visiting Kentucky and he slid into my wife's DMS while
- 26:27Speaker 5: I was dating her. She was twenty fifteen, so she
- 26:31Speaker 5: was twenty five and he was in high school and
- 26:35Speaker 5: he slid into her DM saying like stop what you do.
- 26:38Speaker 5: I didn't know or just said to stup what you're
- 26:39Speaker 5: doing tonight. He was in high school track and my
- 26:44Speaker 5: wife showed me. I didn't even know who he was
- 26:46Speaker 5: at the time. I knew he like it was a
- 26:48Speaker 5: high recruit. And then he ended up going to Alabama
- 26:51Speaker 5: and I used to love fading him when he was
- 26:53Speaker 5: in college because he was slid into my wife's DM.
- 26:55Speaker 5: So put me on board of So maybe we should
- 26:58Speaker 5: bet that the Saints. I'm in Maybe the Saints is
- 27:03Speaker 5: the grouper.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Bet and his what's his pick line at his odds
- 27:09Speaker 4: to throw an interception?
- 27:10Speaker 5: I'm down for that.
- 27:11Speaker 4: That might be I might take the over on whatever,
- 27:14Speaker 4: because I think that that is my Mac Jones revenge tour.
- 27:17Speaker 4: I'm going to bet be over on all of his
- 27:19Speaker 4: interceptions all season.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I think that's the way to go.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Because here's the problem, Okay, I do have to bring
- 27:24Speaker 2: us back to earth a little bit. We cannot back
- 27:26Speaker 2: the Saints right We can't back the Saints right now
- 27:29Speaker 2: because the public is getting crushed early on in this season.
- 27:34Speaker 2: The Saints are getting seventy one percent of the bets.
- 27:36Speaker 2: The Saints are terrible. Okay, I know it's Mac Jones,
- 27:39Speaker 2: and I'm with you. Hey, if you fuck with Kendra
- 27:41Speaker 2: and you fuck with Stucky, you fuck with me too. Okay,
- 27:44Speaker 2: I'm with you, guys, but I cannot be on the
- 27:47Speaker 2: side of seventy one percent of the bets on an
- 27:49Speaker 2: awful team. The forty nine ers are still good enough
- 27:52Speaker 2: roster wise to win this football game, and win this
- 27:54Speaker 2: football game by more than a field golf with you
- 27:57Speaker 2: on the pick, let's find the number on that.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Laying three with Sam fran just I'm looking for the
- 28:03Speaker 5: over I'm gonna be I'll probably be. I gott all
- 28:05Speaker 5: care if the public, if I'm side with the public
- 28:08Speaker 5: on some games, but I might be the only person
- 28:11Speaker 5: in the country that that's the over in this game.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Very well, good, Yeah, it sounds like you were talking
- 28:17Speaker 5: about paining. We were talking about pain. That might be
- 28:19Speaker 5: the most painful thing that I ever endure trying to
- 28:22Speaker 5: watch that game and rooting to get into the forties.
- 28:24Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I would rather be on. It's more. I'm very much
- 28:28Speaker 3: an under better in comparison.
- 28:30Speaker 5: Same I hate betting overs regardless. Now I've got a
- 28:33Speaker 5: betting over with Rattler and Jones, but.
- 28:35Speaker 4: That shit hits like crack, like cheering for an over
- 28:37Speaker 4: and cheering for scores hits.
- 28:40Speaker 2: So, speaking of the public stat that was shared via
- 28:44Speaker 2: Evan Abrams, the public went three and thirteen against the
- 28:47Speaker 2: spread last week. It was the worst Week one mark
- 28:51Speaker 2: in the NFL since Week five, or it was the
- 28:54Speaker 2: worst mark that the public had and since Week five
- 28:57Speaker 2: of twenty twenty two, the worst week one in twenty
- 29:00Speaker 2: two years of action Networks database teams with sixty percent
- 29:05Speaker 2: of the tickets.
- 29:05Speaker 1: I'm just gonna rattle these off.
- 29:07Speaker 2: This is not a don't bet, this is a buyer
- 29:09Speaker 2: beware on the following teams. The vikings against the Falcons,
- 29:13Speaker 2: the Saints, as we've just talked about against the forty
- 29:15Speaker 2: nine ers, the Titans, Stuckey, I know that's one of
- 29:18Speaker 2: yours as well, seventy percent of the bets on the
- 29:20Speaker 2: Titans going up against the Rams, the Pittsburgh Steelers, they're
- 29:24Speaker 2: always a heavily bet public team sixty two percent, and
- 29:27Speaker 2: the Panthers, so I think we're gonna have sold to
- 29:30Speaker 2: us in a moment. Sixty two percent of the bets
- 29:32Speaker 2: against the Arizona Cardinals. So let's use that as a
- 29:36Speaker 2: launch pad to nominate a player too and see if
- 29:38Speaker 2: we can find some general consensus on the board and
- 29:41Speaker 2: eventually land on the cheesiest named parlay I could possibly
- 29:46Speaker 2: come up with. We're gonna call this the three Musketeers,
- 29:50Speaker 2: all for one and one for all. Eh, you guys
- 29:54Speaker 2: with me?
- 29:55Speaker 3: That is such a Dodd joke. I think that we
- 29:58Speaker 3: should public leach game right now.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Bring it.
- 30:02Speaker 2: That was rough, but a right, We're roll with it, okay,
- 30:05Speaker 2: all right, you know, hey, look, I'll take submissions.
- 30:08Speaker 1: But yeah, I have been working on my dad jokes
- 30:11Speaker 1: over the last five years.
- 30:12Speaker 5: So if I hit you, I should have played this.
- 30:14Speaker 5: I have that horn.
- 30:19Speaker 1: This is just the beginning, folks, just the beginning.
- 30:21Speaker 2: I like the Jets plus six and a half, stucky,
- 30:24Speaker 2: slightly jealous of you you picked up the seven a
- 30:26Speaker 2: few days ago.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Wish I had gotten in on them a little bit earlier.
- 30:28Speaker 1: But this team runs the ball really well.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Buffalo clearly struggled in that area on Sunday night. Yes,
- 30:33Speaker 2: they won the game. They came back heroic fashion, YadA YadA.
- 30:37Speaker 2: They give up two hundred and thirty eight yards on
- 30:39Speaker 2: the ground to the Baltimore Ravens. Their secondaries beat up
- 30:42Speaker 2: as well. So I think Justin Fields can have some
- 30:44Speaker 2: success in this game home dogs of seven or more.
- 30:47Speaker 2: And this doesn't exactly qualify because I'm taking a six
- 30:50Speaker 2: and a half, but just to give you an idea
- 30:51Speaker 2: of the range eighteen to one and two against the
- 30:54Speaker 2: spread over the last three years in the beginning portions
- 30:58Speaker 2: of the season, first half of the I like the
- 31:00Speaker 2: Jets plus six and a half. I'll stop there, are
- 31:04Speaker 2: you guys sold on the Jets plus the number?
- 31:08Speaker 1: Or should I continue?
- 31:11Speaker 5: I'm in on the Jets personally. May maybe a little
- 31:14Speaker 5: hangover for the Bills. I liked what I saw from Engstam.
- 31:16Speaker 5: I like what I saw from Fields like I didn't
- 31:18Speaker 5: know what that office is going to look like. The
- 31:19Speaker 5: offensive line is so improved, their tackles, Membu, the rookie
- 31:24Speaker 5: twenty six pass protection STAPs, nothing, no pressures, and he
- 31:27Speaker 5: went against Watt and that passerrush. So really liked what
- 31:32Speaker 5: I saw from the offensive line. And yeah, that Bill's
- 31:33Speaker 5: defense has issues right now, Like they're safeties. There a problem,
- 31:36Speaker 5: there's injuries at corner the Rundies, so asking them to
- 31:40Speaker 5: win by margin the road divisional game. I'm in on the.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Jets, Kendra.
- 31:44Speaker 3: I want to be in on the Jets. I just
- 31:47Speaker 3: once again.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Need to see their identity a little bit. I definitely
- 31:50Speaker 4: agree with Stucky's thing the other day about Justin Fields
- 31:54Speaker 4: maybe being the guy we see to be like the
- 31:56Speaker 4: Gino Smith, Sam Darnold Baker Mayfield type.
- 31:59Speaker 3: I have been chasing that high for him.
- 32:00Speaker 4: I thought that was going to be him in Pittsburgh
- 32:02Speaker 4: and that wasn't so I can't. I feel like I
- 32:05Speaker 4: no longer have the cards to play to say that
- 32:07Speaker 4: he's going to maybe be in the running for that
- 32:10Speaker 4: conversation again. But I just worry about Josh Allen being
- 32:14Speaker 4: able to expose the Jets secondary. I will say their
- 32:18Speaker 4: run game looked a lot better than I expected last week.
- 32:20Speaker 4: I just think that the Bills are way too deep
- 32:22Speaker 4: Bills year that you just can't convince me to bet
- 32:25Speaker 4: against the Bills out all this entire season.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I think that out of every team in the NFL,
- 32:30Speaker 3: they have the opportunity.
- 32:31Speaker 4: If there was to be a team to be perfect
- 32:33Speaker 4: and go seventeen to O this year, it's them.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Okay, well, we need consensus on this, so I'm going
- 32:38Speaker 2: to move on to the Cowboys. I like the Cowboys
- 32:40Speaker 2: minus five and a half against the Giants. They wreck
- 32:43Speaker 2: NFC East opponents that they face. I think the Giants
- 32:45Speaker 2: are still pretty awful. So when you add in the
- 32:49Speaker 2: extended rest as well smash spot for the Dallas Cowboys,
- 32:54Speaker 2: can I get some consensus?
- 32:56Speaker 3: Yes, I'm with you.
- 32:58Speaker 4: That is one of my bets that I gave out
- 32:59Speaker 4: this week, the Dallas Cowboys. I'm higher on the Giants
- 33:02Speaker 4: than I think a lot of people are this year,
- 33:04Speaker 4: but not until day replace Russ with Jackson Dart. I
- 33:08Speaker 4: am on the Jackson Dart train, been here since he
- 33:12Speaker 4: was at old Miss Love Jackson Dart. One of the
- 33:14Speaker 4: most disappointing bets I ever lost in my life was
- 33:16Speaker 4: when I got in early on him for Heisman odds
- 33:18Speaker 4: and then he kind of shited the bed last yearly
- 33:19Speaker 4: in the season. But I really think that the Giants
- 33:22Speaker 4: have done a decent job at adding depths and drafting.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I just don't think.
- 33:26Speaker 4: That the coaching situation is doing anybody any favors. Jackson
- 33:30Speaker 4: Dart's got to be the guy. It's got to be
- 33:32Speaker 4: Dallas or nothing for me this week, I.
- 33:36Speaker 5: Can't get there. But I can't. I'm not betting the Giants.
- 33:39Speaker 5: I'll tell you that, Yeah, I need them to change Ross.
- 33:41Speaker 5: Ross was awful, and there's to build your case. Neighbors
- 33:45Speaker 5: might not be fully healthy. Wanda Robinson didn't practice yesterday.
- 33:49Speaker 5: Is Andrew Thomas going to be back? Like the line
- 33:51Speaker 5: is bad, but when he's out, it's just a disaster.
- 33:54Speaker 5: I know Parsons isn't there, but and Dak's really good
- 33:58Speaker 5: as a favorite. He can pull up those numbers. What
- 34:01Speaker 5: is Dak is like a six plus point favorite? Usually
- 34:05Speaker 5: pretty good, like I think, And part of that is
- 34:08Speaker 5: that they'll get a lead and then their defense historic
- 34:11Speaker 5: has been able to be aggressive and then you know
- 34:13Speaker 5: a kind of snowballs. But maybe that's not the case
- 34:18Speaker 5: anymore without Parsons. But they're gonna get pressure. It's this
- 34:20Speaker 5: Giants offensive line So if I were if I was
- 34:23Speaker 5: choosing between the two, I would go Jets and Kendrick
- 34:27Speaker 5: Wild go Cowboys. So we'll do one of them.
- 34:30Speaker 1: And then how about this.
- 34:31Speaker 2: So to add to the Dak impressive in these situations
- 34:35Speaker 2: seventy one percent over the course of his career ats
- 34:38Speaker 2: against the NFC East.
- 34:40Speaker 1: This is what he does.
- 34:42Speaker 5: He covers what is Dak as a favorite?
- 34:45Speaker 6: Yeah, closes well, closing six or more as a favorite
- 34:48Speaker 6: thirty one, fifteen and one, which just feels stupid in
- 34:52Speaker 6: itself as that big of a favorite, especially on the
- 34:54Speaker 6: closing line as a favorite just itself fifty to thirty
- 34:57Speaker 6: nine and two, so pretty good.
- 34:58Speaker 5: That is dumb numbers. That's like Lamar. Lamar first half
- 35:02Speaker 5: numbers are dumb fifty nine, thirty four and two against
- 35:06Speaker 5: the spread sixty.
- 35:08Speaker 6: The crazy thing with Lamar first half is Flacco's second,
- 35:11Speaker 6: so it's like mostly John.
- 35:13Speaker 5: Yep, that's true. But the crazy thing even as a
- 35:16Speaker 5: favorite of six plus in the first half, Lamar twelve
- 35:18Speaker 5: three and one against the spread and he's covered by
- 35:22Speaker 5: a field goal game when he's favored by like a
- 35:24Speaker 5: touchdown in the first half, it's that shock of the
- 35:27Speaker 5: speed is part of it and then the hardball effect two.
- 35:30Speaker 5: So all right, how are we going to choose? Then?
- 35:33Speaker 5: How are we breaking this tie?
- 35:34Speaker 1: Well?
- 35:35Speaker 2: I think because we well, yeah, because there's two, we
- 35:40Speaker 2: have two thirds. We're only on one person right now.
- 35:42Speaker 2: So Evan, you're you're officially in. You're breaking the tie.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Are we putting the Cowboys minus the points or the
- 35:48Speaker 2: Jets plus the points into the not named three most
- 35:52Speaker 2: Keteers parlay?
- 35:53Speaker 6: I like the Jets. I mean I already bet the Jets.
- 35:55Speaker 6: I put in the ap myself. I had it at seven,
- 35:57Speaker 6: So I'm a Jets guy this week. I like the
- 36:00Speaker 6: Giants way too much. That defensive lines can cause havoc.
- 36:03Speaker 6: I mean, even with the injuries, you assume neighbors will
- 36:05Speaker 6: play like Jets.
- 36:07Speaker 1: The Jets are in.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Let's move to Stucky sell us on one of your
- 36:10Speaker 2: plays for this week that we can get in there
- 36:12Speaker 2: as the favorites, parlay.
- 36:14Speaker 5: Does that to be on Sunday? Or are we on Monday?
- 36:16Speaker 5: Are we keeping it to the Sunday?
- 36:16Speaker 1: I don't think Yeah, I don't think it matters.
- 36:18Speaker 5: All right, let's go Atlanta plus three and a half
- 36:22Speaker 5: Sunday night. It looks like Mooney and London are going
- 36:25Speaker 5: to play. That's important. Pennick's faredwell against the Blitz last
- 36:30Speaker 5: week against Bowls, that's important against Flores, the Vikings, short
- 36:33Speaker 5: week off a big win, a couple defensive injuries. And
- 36:36Speaker 5: I'm not fully sold on McCarthy. And I know somehow
- 36:39Speaker 5: NFC offensive Player of the Week, but for three quarters
- 36:43Speaker 5: it looked awful. And he was going against the Bear's
- 36:45Speaker 5: na without their top two corners, without a starting lineback,
- 36:47Speaker 5: and like, it didn't look great. And yeah, eventually he
- 36:50Speaker 5: got there, but it was with Justin Jefferson, a good
- 36:52Speaker 5: offensive line, and I know he was without his left tackle.
- 36:55Speaker 5: Might be back this week. But the Falcons anything over
- 36:59Speaker 5: a field goal here, rookie quarterback on the road, you
- 37:02Speaker 5: got an extra day of wrest and prepp. You should
- 37:03Speaker 5: have your receivers. And look, they should have won that
- 37:06Speaker 5: game last week. They were plus seven percent net success, right,
- 37:10Speaker 5: they dropped like three picks. Their zones were really good.
- 37:13Speaker 5: Macarth's gonnaee a lot more zone than he did last week.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Might force the ball, some couple of balls to Jefferson,
- 37:18Speaker 5: make a mistake. I'm in on the Falcons plus three
- 37:22Speaker 5: and a half. Brandon agree. Disagree.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I'm in. I'm in on that.
- 37:27Speaker 2: I kind of like the idea of continuing the fade
- 37:30Speaker 2: of these really strong public favorites. Last year was such
- 37:35Speaker 2: a heavy public success year that you could kind of
- 37:38Speaker 2: see this reversing course going into twenty twenty five. It's
- 37:41Speaker 2: already happened in pretty dramatic fashion. And then you have
- 37:44Speaker 2: JJ McCarthy back to back night starts for a quarterback
- 37:48Speaker 2: making his debut and he was a darling.
- 37:50Speaker 1: I mean, come on, this is obvious. This has crashed
- 37:53Speaker 1: back down to Earth written all over it. I'm in.
- 37:55Speaker 1: I like getting the three in the hook.
- 37:57Speaker 5: All right. Well, my favorite bet before I get Kendra's thoughts,
- 38:00Speaker 5: because you're probably not gonna like this, because no one
- 38:02Speaker 5: is probably gonna like this is the Texans. Who wants
- 38:05Speaker 5: to bet the Texans is a favorite? Apparently me? But
- 38:07Speaker 5: that's my favorite. Be that's on Monday Night. Anything under three.
- 38:11Speaker 5: Last week was a mess offensively, but you have to
- 38:13Speaker 5: understand that before the game they ruled their guard out
- 38:18Speaker 5: with an abdomen injury. Hopefully he's back this week, and
- 38:21Speaker 5: he was really good in the preseason ingram. They removed him.
- 38:24Speaker 5: That changed three positions around and throughout the game. They
- 38:28Speaker 5: had seven or five or six different combinations. They had
- 38:32Speaker 5: like all these guys playing tackle. Then they had two injuries.
- 38:34Speaker 5: There was no way it was going to be functional.
- 38:36Speaker 5: So no matter what this week, I think Ingram be back,
- 38:38Speaker 5: that'll allow Howard go to tackle, and I think Patterson
- 38:41Speaker 5: at safety for Andrews is even better. But they'll get
- 38:43Speaker 5: a week to practice with it. Like they went into
- 38:45Speaker 5: the game game day and then had to switch up
- 38:47Speaker 5: their entire offensive three positions and then had two injuries.
- 38:50Speaker 5: It was a disaster, So it won't look that bad.
- 38:53Speaker 5: The Bucks defense is bad. They got lucky last week.
- 38:55Speaker 5: Their offensive line is a mess. They got their center
- 38:56Speaker 5: playing tackle, their guard playing center because Wurfs is out,
- 39:00Speaker 5: they're missing mcmill and Godwin. Still, Baker should have thrown
- 39:02Speaker 5: like three or four picks last week. They got very fortunate.
- 39:06Speaker 5: Texans get it done that defense at home. I'm trusting
- 39:09Speaker 5: them and Stroud the bounce back with a more stable
- 39:11Speaker 5: offensive line. So Texans minus two and a half, Falcons
- 39:15Speaker 5: plus three and a half. My favorite two bets, I
- 39:17Speaker 5: won't make you guys. Bet the Titans, Kenjre, You're you're
- 39:21Speaker 5: going to make the decision here.
- 39:22Speaker 4: I'm more likely to be with you on the Texans
- 39:25Speaker 4: than the Falcons after what I've seen from young Waku
- 39:28Speaker 4: in his career in the NFL.
- 39:30Speaker 3: There's no way you're going to get me to back
- 39:32Speaker 3: him on.
- 39:32Speaker 5: He might not be kicking, they might.
- 39:34Speaker 1: They might have a and Pennick's touchdowns only, okay, and
- 39:39Speaker 1: we're going for two.
- 39:41Speaker 4: It's not that I'm high on the Texans this year.
- 39:43Speaker 4: It's that I'm high on the Bucks having a slow start.
- 39:45Speaker 4: You could tell that they were missing Liam Cohen last week,
- 39:48Speaker 4: that their offense is getting old, that it's getting stale,
- 39:51Speaker 4: that the injuries certainly have hit them in the preseason.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Guys need to come back, need to get healthy. Like
- 39:55Speaker 4: you said, their offensive line is a mess. It's not
- 39:58Speaker 4: that I'm high on the Texans. It's just truly that
- 40:00Speaker 4: I think if the Bucks are going to have a
- 40:02Speaker 4: good season, it's going to take them a minute to
- 40:04Speaker 4: get into the flow of the season because so much has.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Changed for them.
- 40:08Speaker 4: And you know, Baker Mayfield has had so many different
- 40:10Speaker 4: offensive coordinators throughout his career. I think that he's due for,
- 40:13Speaker 4: maybe like the right to have a little bit of
- 40:15Speaker 4: a slow start after this turnaround we've seen from him.
- 40:18Speaker 4: I think that they're going to be fine shit division,
- 40:20Speaker 4: and I think that it's theirs to lose. But the
- 40:23Speaker 4: Texans are good, They're good coached, they draft really well.
- 40:26Speaker 3: They need to win.
- 40:27Speaker 4: They also earn an ass division, but a less ass division,
- 40:30Speaker 4: so they've got to get wins where they can get them.
- 40:32Speaker 4: I think they have to take advantage of this year
- 40:33Speaker 4: at home. I would be more likely to be with
- 40:35Speaker 4: you on the Texans.
- 40:36Speaker 5: All right, Well, I guess this is Evan Abrams podcast.
- 40:39Speaker 5: I might I might use Sennori here and just call it,
- 40:42Speaker 5: but do you have a preference. I don't.
- 40:46Speaker 6: I'm going to allow you guys to take it. I
- 40:47Speaker 6: really don't care about it.
- 40:48Speaker 5: All right, I'm signed with Kenju. We're going to Texans.
- 40:51Speaker 5: So Texans minus two and a half and Jets where
- 40:58Speaker 5: we're at plus six and a half is the best
- 41:00Speaker 5: price available right now? Are there any sevenths left?
- 41:02Speaker 1: I don't see any sevens out there.
- 41:06Speaker 5: No seven? Okay, we'll go six and a half.
- 41:08Speaker 4: And so I hinted to this on a Tuesday show
- 41:14Speaker 4: that I am behind the Carolina Panthers.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I know that it's ugly.
- 41:19Speaker 4: I know nobody likes it. But I have some information
- 41:21Speaker 4: for you guys. But before I give you this information,
- 41:25Speaker 4: who do you think is better or worse? The Saints
- 41:28Speaker 4: or the Carolina Panthers. The Saints, but you think the
- 41:33Speaker 4: Saints are better than the Panthers.
- 41:35Speaker 5: No, no, no, I think the Panthers are better than
- 41:37Speaker 5: the Saints.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Okay exactly.
- 41:39Speaker 4: And last week who struggled against the Saints The Arizona Cardinals.
- 41:44Speaker 4: Last year, in the matchup between the Panthers and the Cardinals,
- 41:48Speaker 4: the Cardinals beat Arizona thirty six thirty in that overtime
- 41:51Speaker 4: matchup that knocked Arizona out of playoff contention. The Panthers
- 41:54Speaker 4: are fifteen and six against Arizona all time, and the
- 41:58Speaker 4: Panthers are six and two on the road in Arizona
- 42:01Speaker 4: in that all time matchup. In that game last season,
- 42:03Speaker 4: Chewba Hubbard ran for one hundred and fifty two yards
- 42:05Speaker 4: and had two touchdowns and Bryce Young threw for two
- 42:08Speaker 4: touchdowns and rushed for another. For some reason, the Panthers
- 42:11Speaker 4: have their number them getting this big of a spread.
- 42:14Speaker 4: I absolutely think that the Panthers are to play here.
- 42:17Speaker 2: My issue with this one is I think the Panthers
- 42:20Speaker 2: are running out of wide receivers and they already traded
- 42:22Speaker 2: Adam Thielen Jalen Coker just hit the ir hunter Renfros
- 42:25Speaker 2: on the injury report already.
- 42:27Speaker 1: He just got to the team.
- 42:28Speaker 3: He had a monster catch.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Last week though in te Roald McMillan like Heed, but
- 42:33Speaker 4: he can't do it all himself.
- 42:34Speaker 1: I just think they are they're a little too depleted
- 42:38Speaker 1: right now for me to back them. I have a
- 42:41Speaker 1: hard time. I have a really hard time getting behind
- 42:44Speaker 1: this one.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Thank you. Kuanu also back.
- 42:47Speaker 5: That would be that would be helpful because his backup
- 42:49Speaker 5: was was bad. Yosh the ex packer. Yeah, the weapons
- 42:56Speaker 5: scare me a little bit. Also that the Panthers at
- 42:59Speaker 5: their defense is void of talent, so they're just running
- 43:01Speaker 5: this like basic cover three and then that's usually that's
- 43:04Speaker 5: not good against Murray and McBride. I am curious about this,
- 43:08Speaker 5: so I don't think I can get there. Like it
- 43:10Speaker 5: does make sense. It's like they looked awful. I mean,
- 43:13Speaker 5: if you look back historically, teams off of double digit
- 43:19Speaker 5: I think Evan probably has this. Teams off of double
- 43:21Speaker 5: digit losses that are dogs in Week two probably have
- 43:24Speaker 5: hit around like sixty sixty five percent, And yeah, like,
- 43:30Speaker 5: how about a team that didn't cover in week one
- 43:32Speaker 5: on the road versus a team that did twenty two
- 43:35Speaker 5: and twelve against the spread sixty five percent last ten years.
- 43:37Speaker 5: So like it makes sense, like buying low. You don't
- 43:40Speaker 5: want to overreact in week one. You want to stick
- 43:43Speaker 5: more to your priors. Like that's it's just one data
- 43:46Speaker 5: point you have to remember. But the total does feel
- 43:49Speaker 5: a little low because you just mentioned that game it
- 43:53Speaker 5: was thirty.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Six thirty you said, yeah, but it was also an
- 43:57Speaker 3: overtime game.
- 43:58Speaker 5: Yeah, but so like there was still sixty points in regulation.
- 44:01Speaker 5: Now this total, and that total was like forty six
- 44:04Speaker 5: forty seven the US it was forty three and a
- 44:05Speaker 5: half indoors. I get the Panthers offense a little beat up,
- 44:08Speaker 5: but I don't know. That total seems a little bit
- 44:10Speaker 5: low for me. But why which what's your other one before.
- 44:12Speaker 4: We the also fun fact, this is the matchup between
- 44:17Speaker 4: the two smallest quarterbacks that we've ever had ever so for.
- 44:23Speaker 5: Post Super Bowl there was one in like the fifties
- 44:25Speaker 5: with like.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, remember him.
- 44:29Speaker 4: I also told you guys that I am gonna back
- 44:32Speaker 4: Miami this week I'm still there. McDaniel's job watch must
- 44:35Speaker 4: win in a week to to and never loses to
- 44:38Speaker 4: the Patriots.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Must win. And the thing is that it's a divisional game.
- 44:41Speaker 4: They have to consider one Miami in September Tough we
- 44:46Speaker 4: talked about there's really no home field advantage outside of
- 44:49Speaker 4: the fact that it's the weather and New Englanders and
- 44:52Speaker 4: people who like play up here, there's no shot they're
- 44:54Speaker 4: going to be able to survive it. When you spend
- 44:56Speaker 4: an entire summer working in a New England summer environment
- 44:59Speaker 4: and compare into a Florida summer environment, I don't care
- 45:02Speaker 4: where you're from. Will Campbell even has struggled up here,
- 45:05Speaker 4: and he's from down south and it's not even that
- 45:08Speaker 4: hot in comparison. I thought, so, here's the thing for me,
- 45:12Speaker 4: here's the big question. Mark Gonzalez was posting. Christian Gonzalez
- 45:15Speaker 4: was posting on his Instagram like he was gonna play
- 45:18Speaker 4: this week, but the rumors coming out from the team
- 45:20Speaker 4: or that he's not, so I don't really know what
- 45:23Speaker 4: to expect there. When comparing the position groups, quarterback basically
- 45:27Speaker 4: a wash, I would give the edge of running back
- 45:29Speaker 4: to the Patriots.
- 45:31Speaker 3: With the secondary being injured, Tyreek.
- 45:33Speaker 4: And Jalen Waddall obviously far superior to anything or the
- 45:37Speaker 4: Patriots have coaching.
- 45:38Speaker 3: I probably go Rabel, but I.
- 45:40Speaker 4: Give the edge to Miami here and they're still running
- 45:43Speaker 4: the fullback in today's NFL shout out alec Engeld on Wisconsin.
- 45:47Speaker 3: I'm behind Miami this week.
- 45:49Speaker 5: Look, I pride myself on betting the ugliest all. I
- 45:52Speaker 5: mean my college football bets this week, and are like
- 45:55Speaker 5: the worst teams in the country, and I bet some ugly's,
- 46:00Speaker 5: but I'm addicted to bend the Titans.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I don't.
- 46:01Speaker 5: I don't have many, uh healthy habits, and that's most unhealthy.
- 46:07Speaker 1: But this is ugly.
- 46:08Speaker 5: I mean. Yeah, So I'm like the Panthers and the Dolphins.
- 46:12Speaker 5: So I like that You're you're trying to buy the
- 46:15Speaker 5: teams that looked awful last week. I cannot put any
- 46:20Speaker 5: money or recommend anybody put any money behind the Dolphins
- 46:27Speaker 5: right now, given the state of their offensive line, the
- 46:29Speaker 5: state it seems like everything in the back, like everything
- 46:31Speaker 5: could just explode, Like they could just be arguing on
- 46:33Speaker 5: the sidelines the ten minutes into this game. Their secondary
- 46:37Speaker 5: is a disaster. There's all kinds of injuries. They've all
- 46:39Speaker 5: these guys that just brought on that are like they're
- 46:40Speaker 5: relying on to pick up the defense. So what are
- 46:42Speaker 5: they doing. They're just blitzing everyone like that's just what
- 46:44Speaker 5: they're doing because they don't trust anyone in the back end.
- 46:47Speaker 5: And to a looked awful last week. I don't know
- 46:48Speaker 5: as he can cost again, I don't know he could.
- 46:51Speaker 5: He wasn't just system quarterback. He's been in the system
- 46:53Speaker 5: for years. He looked like he did was the first
- 46:54Speaker 5: time ever run in the system. So I'm voting by
- 46:58Speaker 5: far easily. I can't go. I'm voting for the Panthers
- 47:03Speaker 5: plus six and a half.
- 47:04Speaker 2: I will say, Kendrew, your your mindset on the Miami
- 47:08Speaker 2: Dolphins is a winning.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Profitable mindset. This game in particular can't do it. So
- 47:16Speaker 1: I'm with you. Let's go with the Panthers plus the
- 47:19Speaker 1: six and a half.
- 47:20Speaker 4: Quarterering you guys into betting on the Carolina Panthers.
- 47:24Speaker 5: That was very strategic. That was that was a ploy, alright,
- 47:27Speaker 5: the only other one, only other team. I really don't
- 47:31Speaker 5: want to that default Panthers in the parlor.
- 47:36Speaker 4: Well, I really just put a gun to both of
- 47:38Speaker 4: your heads and was like, choose between two shitty options.
- 47:44Speaker 5: Perfect execution, very well done.
- 47:46Speaker 1: The official All Favorites all day parlay.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Texans minus two and a half, Jets plus six and
- 47:53Speaker 2: a half, and the Panthers plus six and a half.
- 47:56Speaker 1: That's good.
- 47:57Speaker 3: Do we may not make it on here?
- 47:59Speaker 5: Well that's people are going to learn here and I'm
