- 0:30Speaker 1: Busts and fall Tour. When we collaborate and mingle and
- 0:33Speaker 1: drop content and everything else, and you guys comment underneath,
- 0:36Speaker 1: it means.

- 0:40Speaker 1: There's some talks and whispers right now what this show
- 0:42Speaker 1: could possibly be next year and on this set right
- 0:45Speaker 1: here in other worlds, But we also know that it's
- 0:48Speaker 1: the college football landscape.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Anything can happen.
- 0:50Speaker 1: This could be a Kenny Mitchie situation with Josh Pate
- 0:53Speaker 1: that we're talking about right now, But neither here nor
- 0:55Speaker 1: there the standings, we have a tie going into the
- 0:59Speaker 1: championship game, into the national title.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Josh paid is forty four and forty four. Taylor Luwan
- 1:04Speaker 2: is forty four and forty four.
- 1:06Speaker 1: This game might decide that we're gonna have to figure
- 1:08Speaker 1: out a tie breaker of some sort. If they have
- 1:09Speaker 1: the same pick, Willie see that go undefeated in the
- 1:12Speaker 1: semi finals forty and forty eight, respectively. We're happier here.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Welcome to the show, the Locker Room. Leave comments along

- 3:13Speaker 3: Can I just that's just nervous energy?
- 3:16Speaker 2: Yeah? What's on your mind? What are you feeling going
- 3:19Speaker 2: into this last episode?
- 3:20Speaker 3: A whole lotsh A whole lot part happy, part sad,
- 3:24Speaker 3: part anger, part bittersweet. But the first thing I'm thinking,
- 3:28Speaker 3: since we're on the spirit of this is our last
- 3:30Speaker 3: show of the season is I really feel bad for
- 3:32Speaker 3: people who are finding the show for the first time,
- 3:35Speaker 3: because our numbers have grown every week, so you know, statistically,
- 3:38Speaker 3: there's someone who just happened upon this video. They're like, wait,
- 3:41Speaker 3: I like this show, hopefully, Wait, this thing's been going
- 3:44Speaker 3: on all year. I don't get most of the inside jokes.
- 3:47Speaker 3: I don't know why I haven't watched this all year.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Think about what they missed. They missed. They missed the
- 3:52Speaker 3: whole Nebraska thing. They missed they always missed the Nebraska thing.
- 3:56Speaker 3: They missed the coaching search carousel. They missed the whole Michigan.
- 4:00Speaker 2: They missed the bus and Bowl.
- 4:02Speaker 3: They did miss the buss and Bowl. They missed the
- 4:03Speaker 3: Fall Don't Lie Tour. They missed one of the one
- 4:08Speaker 3: of the most like down to the wire pickchases that
- 4:11Speaker 3: we've had in recent memory, because we've only had one
- 4:13Speaker 3: on the show, because we've only had one version of
- 4:15Speaker 3: the show. So hey, it's gonna be a long spring.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I would encourage people to go back and watch the
- 4:20Speaker 3: previous shows.
- 4:21Speaker 2: That's great. You know, the biggest thing they missed camaraderie.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Vibes, friendship, yeah, trench warfare, seeing energy, feeling energy, feeling
- 4:32Speaker 1: like they're a part of the energy.
- 4:34Speaker 3: What they missed is love.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, that one feeling you get as a small
- 4:38Speaker 2: child when your mom you're cold, comes to you and
- 4:41Speaker 2: what wraps a little blanket around you. That's the feeling
- 4:44Speaker 2: that this show is willing to give you a weekend
- 4:46Speaker 2: and week out, and.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Then you don't get it again until you do a
- 4:48Speaker 3: college football YouTube show decades later.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Or.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Until somebody tells you they're zooming in from their hotel
- 4:56Speaker 1: at two thirty in the morning, and that right there,
- 5:00Speaker 1: that's a good feeling something'd be missing out on. What
- 5:03Speaker 1: does Willy C mean by that?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Here's the good news. That is the good news if
- 5:06Speaker 2: this is the first time somebody is watching the show.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Luckily there's enough drama to happen in this show, because
- 5:13Speaker 2: Josh Pate's name was thrown in an absolute blender on
- 5:17Speaker 2: Bustle with the Boys' most recent episode.
- 5:18Speaker 3: With Josh Payton not on the bus, with Josh Pyton
- 5:20Speaker 3: on the there was a JP there to defend me,
- 5:24Speaker 3: but it was not me.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yep, all right, go ahead, I would like to give
- 5:28Speaker 2: I don't have I was in Vegas, fighting for my life.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I would love for both of you to have the floor.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I can sit back as a third party if I
- 5:35Speaker 2: need to mediate anything what happened. If JP wasn't there,
- 5:40Speaker 2: all I'm saying is it could have been catastrophic, not
- 5:44Speaker 2: only for you two, but for us as well, because
- 5:47Speaker 2: there was a there was a painting being illustrated by
- 5:50Speaker 2: one individual that I thought to myself, Oh my God,
- 5:53Speaker 2: and the words came out of my mouth, is Josh
- 5:56Speaker 2: Pate for the boys?
- 5:57Speaker 3: And I called you Judas on the internet?
- 5:59Speaker 2: Did you so I may take.
- 6:02Speaker 3: It plural of Judas?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah, you said that publicly.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I asked what the plural of Judas is, which implied
- 6:11Speaker 3: that I was kind of labeling both of you. But
- 6:13Speaker 3: it's not closed. I wrote that in pencil, not penn
- 6:15Speaker 3: So I am prepared to have it out now. I
- 6:17Speaker 3: have a grin on my face. William has a grin
- 6:19Speaker 3: on his face. Those are the kind of grins you
- 6:20Speaker 3: have when you think morally you're in the right. Both
- 6:24Speaker 3: of us think we're in the right. Okay, I'm willing
- 6:28Speaker 3: to I'm going to defer. I'm willing to take the ball.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Second won the toss.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, may I add both of us think we're
- 6:37Speaker 1: morally in the right, and we also understand the other side.
- 6:44Speaker 3: I'm not going to go as far as to say
- 6:45Speaker 3: I understand your side yet.
- 6:48Speaker 2: That was the first olive branch. That was the first
- 6:51Speaker 2: dollar branch that was swatted away from one Justice brother. Hey,
- 6:54Speaker 2: you can't get a time outcess earlier we just said
- 6:56Speaker 2: the coin toss. You just got the kick. He's the
- 6:58Speaker 2: first play of the game. We're wasting one.
- 7:01Speaker 1: This is Michigan today, So you're telling me that for
- 7:11Speaker 1: everybody at home listening, we're playing it out. This trip
- 7:14Speaker 1: to hit both semifinal.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Games Crystal Ball, we have.
- 7:20Speaker 3: It our way.
- 7:20Speaker 2: It's Burger King. We fly to Arizona. We watched that game.
- 7:25Speaker 1: We sleep in Arizona, take our time, get some breakfast
- 7:28Speaker 1: in Arizona, get out to have some zips in Arizona.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Know that we get all the time in the world.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Make it out to Atlanta for the Peach Bowl that
- 7:38Speaker 1: started at what seven thirty Eastern something like this.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Of no officials, time out, official time out. You can't
- 7:45Speaker 2: lose the toss, go on offense, call a timeout, and
- 7:49Speaker 2: then just start running plays. The timeout is for me
- 7:52Speaker 2: to have a moment to talk. We're playing. That's that,
- 7:54Speaker 2: that's the game. You guys are in the middle of
- 7:56Speaker 2: it right now. You're essentially running your first drop. So
- 7:59Speaker 2: what you want in and stop and no, no, no,
- 8:01Speaker 2: you're good. It's just your time out. It's no longer
- 8:04Speaker 2: a timeout. We're in it now.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Hey, I haven't flinched two or three fall starts on
- 8:08Speaker 3: the opening drive already for.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Not understanding the rule, for just not in the middle
- 8:13Speaker 2: of a conference. I'm like, hey, let's let's try to
- 8:15Speaker 2: explain something to me. I'm like, so do I or
- 8:17Speaker 2: you want me to keep going? We go, Hey, let's
- 8:19Speaker 2: talk about it, and he goes time out, starts talking
- 8:21Speaker 2: about it, thinking wait, no, no, we're we are in the
- 8:25Speaker 2: lines right now. The game is happening. So your timeouts gone.
- 8:30Speaker 2: We're in it now.
- 8:31Speaker 3: I don't make the rules. I don't know the rules.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I'm the official. I'm making them up as I go. Yep,
- 8:37Speaker 2: So what's the next Your timeout is gone? You want
- 8:40Speaker 2: to talk about it? Go ahead, you're talking about crystal
- 8:41Speaker 2: ball right now. Carry on. Also, you're backed up. It's
- 8:46Speaker 2: first and twenty, so crystal ball.
- 8:49Speaker 1: That's kind of how we would operate the trip we're
- 8:52Speaker 1: trying to enjoy go to the college football Playoffs semifinals. However,
- 8:56Speaker 1: something came into play. Josh Pate had to be in
- 8:59Speaker 1: it Land to broadcast zoom whatever from the stadium Mercedes Bans.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You had to be in the semifinal, in the atmosphere,
- 9:10Speaker 1: in the environment calling into get up to do your hits,
- 9:14Speaker 1: Get up first, take all of.
- 9:16Speaker 3: It early in the morning.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Early in the morning. No problem with that. So we
- 9:19Speaker 2: had to figure out a way to fly.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Hey, we gotta fly out from Arizona on Thursday night
- 9:25Speaker 1: to get their land Friday morning. Gonna be a grind,
- 9:28Speaker 1: gonna land it two three in the morning. But we're
- 9:30Speaker 1: doing it because the boy has the boy, Josh pat
- 9:33Speaker 1: has an obligation. That's why we're doing so. As we're
- 9:37Speaker 1: flying in land, go to the game in Arizona, land
- 9:41Speaker 1: in Atlanta and it's two thirty in the morning, and
- 9:43Speaker 1: you drop a bomb of I just got a zoom
- 9:46Speaker 1: in from my hotel room. It doesn't have to be
- 9:48Speaker 1: on site in Atlanta. Fireworks go might hang on a second.
- 9:53Speaker 1: So then why did we have to? But I didn't
- 9:54Speaker 1: want to jump to conclusion. I'm like, so when did
- 9:56Speaker 1: you know this information? And you say you knew it
- 9:58Speaker 1: on the way to Arizona. So optically we could have
- 10:01Speaker 1: we could have switched uff around and stayed in Arizona
- 10:04Speaker 1: and not left the Miami Oh Miss game early, and.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I would have met ray Lewis.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Your bladder kept you from meeting ray Lewis.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what.
- 10:19Speaker 1: So that is where the understanding If you're sitting there
- 10:21Speaker 1: in your chair thinking you're morally right, but you can't
- 10:23Speaker 1: understand this side of the situation of be it for
- 10:25Speaker 1: the boys. We could have switched some planes up and
- 10:27Speaker 1: at some fun in Arizona. It took our time to
- 10:29Speaker 1: get out of Atlanta.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I can't help you.
- 10:33Speaker 2: First drives over. Let me just step in for a
- 10:35Speaker 2: second official time out again. This is what happens. But
- 10:38Speaker 2: there's not another JP to come and defend you right
- 10:41Speaker 2: now because this is this is the exact tone that
- 10:43Speaker 2: was taking place on the bus. But you now before
- 10:46Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 10:48Speaker 3: I love you.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I love you too, man, So my tweet yesterday this.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Is my time now.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Okay, Hey, that's a warning. You gotta pick it up.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I like, get up, so many different new rules at me.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Right, buddy, you just you had your top fifteen plays.
- 11:08Speaker 2: You haven't ran one of them yet.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I scored on the opening drive like that was it
- 11:12Speaker 1: was New England Patriots the other week three, Nebraska's the
- 11:15Speaker 1: best three win team of all time.
- 11:17Speaker 3: All right, I'm even going to bolster your argument. That's
- 11:21Speaker 3: how that's how sure I am that I'm in the
- 11:23Speaker 3: moral right here. Back up six weeks ish. We're doing
- 11:27Speaker 3: it up in New York. We're on a very tight
- 11:30Speaker 3: timetable because you got to get back, because you've got
- 11:32Speaker 3: to be somewhere at one fifteen in the afternoon. Do
- 11:34Speaker 3: you remember this? Yes, And our plan is we're off
- 11:37Speaker 3: air at what ten o'clock in the morning. We're out
- 11:40Speaker 3: of there by ten ten. We already got the escape route.
- 11:43Speaker 3: They're holding the freight elevator for us. And then at
- 11:45Speaker 3: like nine to fifty five, someone comes over from the
- 11:48Speaker 3: first take studio and they ask, can they get me
- 11:52Speaker 3: for twenty more minutes, which may very well push our
- 11:55Speaker 3: landing time back to where you miss your family obligation.
- 12:00Speaker 3: What did you say?
- 12:01Speaker 2: I was hesitant? I was I was totally thinking about myself. Yeah, yes, yes,
- 12:09Speaker 2: we can do that.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Yeah without hesitation. Let the record show without hesitation, I said, yes,
- 12:14Speaker 3: anything for you. So there is president already this year
- 12:18Speaker 3: where you guys have been over backwards to help me
- 12:21Speaker 3: out because it was a very, very great career opportunity
- 12:24Speaker 3: for me, and I was appreciative of that, right all right,
- 12:28Speaker 3: So this would not have even been the first time
- 12:31Speaker 3: that you have put me over you. Selfless friendship, it's
- 12:35Speaker 3: what it's all about, right, absolutely, Okay, what would you
- 12:42Speaker 3: do if you were in my position and you knew
- 12:45Speaker 3: that we're going to try and go to both games
- 12:48Speaker 3: dream scenario knock out two playoff games in an ideal
- 12:51Speaker 3: world in your crystal ball were on the field for
- 12:53Speaker 3: those games. But I digress. I digress. We're at the games,
- 12:59Speaker 3: and the producers, the producers from Get Up and or
- 13:06Speaker 3: First Take, doesn't matter which show. They say, you're gonna
- 13:09Speaker 3: be in Atlanta Friday morning. Yeah, I think I will
- 13:11Speaker 3: be in Atlanta Friday morning. Let's get you from the venue.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Let's get you over there. You're gonna be a couple
- 13:15Speaker 3: of blocks away. Let's get you from the venue. But
- 13:18Speaker 3: then it goes back and forth throughout the week. Now
- 13:20Speaker 3: you didn't know this because this didn't really concern you.
- 13:22Speaker 3: So I was just trying to deal with them. So
- 13:24Speaker 3: first off, it starts with it you are going to
- 13:26Speaker 3: be there, Then you're not gonna be there all right.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Then it changes back to you are going to be there, right.
- 13:31Speaker 3: So we've already had some ping pong back and forth,
- 13:33Speaker 3: little production uncertainty. And then I tell JP, because we
- 13:38Speaker 3: do have to plan for these things. Hotel rooms have
- 13:40Speaker 3: to be booked, flights have to be changed. I tell him,
- 13:43Speaker 3: can we get out of Arizona? Can we get to Atlanta?
- 13:45Speaker 3: It's all agreed upon. Then on the flight out there,
- 13:49Speaker 3: it's still really really wobbly, it's really uncertain. And then
- 13:52Speaker 3: they say, hey, looks for now like we're going to
- 13:54Speaker 3: zoom you. We're just gonna go zoom. I'm thinking, in
- 13:57Speaker 3: the back of my mind morally, this may not be done.
- 14:02Speaker 3: This may not be the last time they switched this up.
- 14:04Speaker 3: We've already got everything booked. This is you're a kid.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Your goldfish died while you were at band camp, and
- 14:11Speaker 3: your parents flushed him down the toilet and they told
- 14:13Speaker 3: you that he went to heaven. What you don't know
- 14:15Speaker 3: won't hurt you as a kid. I'm figuring at that
- 14:17Speaker 3: point you've already resigned yourself in your mind that you
- 14:20Speaker 3: flew from New York to Nashville. Now you got a
- 14:22Speaker 3: Nashville to Phoenix. Now you just know you're going to
- 14:24Speaker 3: go to Phoenix to Atlanta. You've already girded your loins
- 14:27Speaker 3: up mentally, you're zoned in, You're prepared for it. It
- 14:29Speaker 3: won't hurt you if I don't tell you. Plus they
- 14:31Speaker 3: may switch it back up on me at the last minute.
- 14:33Speaker 3: So I have told them I'm going to be in Atlanta.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I'm going to be in Atlanta. All's well. We do
- 14:39Speaker 3: have to leave the game early, which I will admit sucked,
- 14:42Speaker 3: and I hate that and.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Created for some funny moments like when we got on
- 14:47Speaker 2: the plane.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Any yep, yep, thank you, and you missed your shot
- 14:51Speaker 3: with Ray Lewis and Michael Phelps and I hate that,
- 14:53Speaker 3: although I take zero responsibility for it, but I hate it.
- 14:57Speaker 3: And we fly and we watch Parson Beck win the game.
- 15:01Speaker 3: So it was a very very colorful ride. And then
- 15:05Speaker 3: you may take a little twenty minute nap. Not me
- 15:07Speaker 3: because my seat wouldn't recline, but everyone else is able
- 15:09Speaker 3: to take a nap. We eat some sushi, the only
- 15:11Speaker 3: meal that we ate period on the trip was eaten together,
- 15:18Speaker 3: contrary to popular belief, on another show that airs about
- 15:23Speaker 3: thirty seven feet from us. Right now, Yeah, can I.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Tak an official time out?
- 15:26Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 15:26Speaker 2: Okay, let's back up a bit to last week when
- 15:31Speaker 2: it's you're going to be at the venue, you're not
- 15:33Speaker 2: going to be at the venue. You may zoom, you
- 15:35Speaker 2: may not zoom. At any point, did you communicate this
- 15:40Speaker 2: to Will Compton?
- 15:41Speaker 3: I communicated it to Clump.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Oh that because as he's telling a story that's a
- 15:48Speaker 2: tackle for loss sac right there.
- 15:50Speaker 3: But didn't I document that? Didn't I just say that
- 15:52Speaker 3: like I was in pretty constant communication with Clump. No, no, no, no,
- 15:58Speaker 3: I was talking to Clump about travel. No, JP just
- 16:01Speaker 3: defended my honor.
- 16:02Speaker 2: At at any point, did you communicate me Will that, Hey,
- 16:07Speaker 2: it could be from the venue, it couldnot be from
- 16:09Speaker 2: the venue.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Josh, I love you.
- 16:13Speaker 2: No.
- 16:13Speaker 3: When I told him, I told him I had to
- 16:15Speaker 3: do it from the venue.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yeah, I booked it. We were going to
- 16:18Speaker 4: land and stay in Arizona. And then when I called
- 16:20Speaker 4: Josh and let him know what my understanding was, he said, oh,
- 16:24Speaker 4: that's not going to work, because I was going to
- 16:25Speaker 4: do it live from Atlanta.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Yeah, so this point is at the point where we
- 16:29Speaker 3: had originally agreed let's do it from Venue. Then maybe
- 16:33Speaker 3: we're going to zoom you. No, let's do it from Venue.
- 16:35Speaker 3: This point right here got you.
- 16:36Speaker 2: This is when I'm talking. Yeah, yes, did you.
- 16:40Speaker 4: I never knew that it wasn't gonna be then till
- 16:42Speaker 4: because I asked you on the ride there, what time
- 16:44Speaker 4: you were gonna be live from the stadium.
- 16:46Speaker 3: And now we arrive in Atlanta. It's neon blue in
- 16:48Speaker 3: the van, it's raining, it's two thirty in the morning. Window.
- 16:52Speaker 3: He's staring, he's he's is that Mars? Is that Venus? Like,
- 16:55Speaker 3: he's got that look in his eye. He's staring off
- 16:57Speaker 3: in his face and he's asleep, but his I are
- 17:00Speaker 3: wide open. And somebody asked, I think JP said, we're
- 17:04Speaker 3: gonna come with you to the stadium in the morning.
- 17:05Speaker 3: What time are you gonna leave? We may just we
- 17:07Speaker 3: may not even go to sleep. We're gonna come over
- 17:08Speaker 3: there with you. And I said, we're just gonna do
- 17:10Speaker 3: it the hotel room. I tried to say it. I
- 17:12Speaker 3: tried to say it's under my breath. I tried to
- 17:15Speaker 3: say it, and then this happens right here. I'm looking
- 17:20Speaker 3: out the window of the van. Hold on, hold, you
- 17:27Speaker 3: don't have to be at the venue.
- 17:30Speaker 2: What are we doing here?
- 17:33Speaker 3: We could have been in Arizona. We could have gone
- 17:35Speaker 3: to sleep, and at that point you can just you
- 17:38Speaker 3: could laugh, and you could hope it makes for good content.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Do you really want to state your entire case that
- 17:43Speaker 3: takes fifteen minutes in a van at two thirty in
- 17:46Speaker 3: the morning. No one's gonna remember it anyway. So I
- 17:50Speaker 3: just decided to laugh it off, send him an edible
- 17:52Speaker 3: arrangement or something later, and we'll we'll just call it even.
- 17:56Speaker 3: But what hurt me the most, and this is out
- 17:59Speaker 3: of my control, what hurt me the most was the
- 18:01Speaker 3: next morning. I didn't know how deep it had cut
- 18:04Speaker 3: you until I saw the video of you guys eating
- 18:08Speaker 3: breakfast basically across the street from me. And I'm on
- 18:12Speaker 3: the TV clearly in my hotel room, and you're standing there.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Watch buddy tear Yeah what else? Partially from laughing, partially
- 18:26Speaker 3: from just empathy rolled down my face.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I'm watching him on first take, seeing the hotel background.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Dude just zooming in from his hotel room in Atlanta.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Because all I'm thinking as I'm hearing a story, the said, well, look,
- 18:42Speaker 1: brotherhood isn't perfection, But when you communicate with each other
- 18:46Speaker 1: and you know that you might be stuck in a situation,
- 18:48Speaker 1: it fellas I'm just gonna get this out of the
- 18:49Speaker 1: way right now. I might not have to be at
- 18:51Speaker 1: the venue tomorrow, but they've been so wishy washy, I
- 18:53Speaker 1: don't know if I'm gonna have to be there or
- 18:55Speaker 1: not for in case we think that we might want
- 18:58Speaker 1: to stay in Arizona, we still got to go still
- 19:00Speaker 1: need to go to Atlantic because.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I have no clue at ESPN's thinking right there the
- 19:04Speaker 2: bags passed.
- 19:04Speaker 1: You communicated like there's no there's no car, there's no
- 19:07Speaker 1: feeling you have in your body when you're trying to whisper.
- 19:09Speaker 2: It under your breath, like I'm just zooming in tomorrow
- 19:11Speaker 2: because what.
- 19:12Speaker 1: You felt in that moment when you're saying that answer,
- 19:14Speaker 1: You're like, Okay, I gotta unleashing a line from its cage.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I got to tell him the goldfish is dead. I
- 19:21Speaker 3: got to tell him he didn't feed the goldfish. It died.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I was having to do that thing where JP sitting
- 19:24Speaker 3: behind you. So I'm having to talk past your ear,
- 19:28Speaker 3: hoping your zoom.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I'm looking at the window, just staring at the stars,
- 19:32Speaker 2: whatever it is.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Wait, looking back on it, I might have sent the
- 19:37Speaker 1: time out, like time out.
- 19:39Speaker 3: It took so long for you to stop looking out
- 19:40Speaker 3: the window was what got me.
- 19:42Speaker 2: It's so funny because it's exactly how I told the story.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Looking back on it, would you have communicated differently?
- 19:48Speaker 3: I think looking back with all the information I have now,
- 19:52Speaker 3: when they originally switched it from stadium to zoom, I
- 19:56Speaker 3: would have said, let's just keep it like that because
- 19:59Speaker 3: that was two days. Maybe that was before you and
- 20:03Speaker 3: I talked about booking, so we would have been able
- 20:05Speaker 3: to book however we wanted to. We would have been
- 20:08Speaker 3: able to stay out there. We would have seen Carson
- 20:11Speaker 3: Beck do his thing in person. We would have seen
- 20:14Speaker 3: Mario rage out on the field. Afterwards, we would have
- 20:18Speaker 3: seen the past interference called life. Who knows, Maybe you
- 20:21Speaker 3: meet Ray Lewis in the postgame.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Maybe we're hitting the dance together. I don't want to
- 20:27Speaker 1: belt off with Michael Irvin.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I do want to say one thing, Like the viewers
- 20:32Speaker 3: of the bus were led to believe that it ripped
- 20:34Speaker 3: your heart out, not to be able to spend an
- 20:36Speaker 3: extra day in Arizona, like you have such affection and
- 20:39Speaker 3: such love for Arizona. I don't want to use the
- 20:42Speaker 3: words you used when we were on our final approach
- 20:45Speaker 3: into land. But first off, Clump finds out it snows
- 20:49Speaker 3: in Arizona because he called it and I quote fake
- 20:52Speaker 3: snow from the air. So he finds that out. And
- 20:55Speaker 3: then ever we saw this all like a crater from
- 20:57Speaker 3: an asteroid. We're learning all sorts of things about theography
- 21:00Speaker 3: of Arizona. You're basically running the Arizona Tourism Bureau. On
- 21:04Speaker 3: the plane, you do everything, but you have the spinner
- 21:06Speaker 3: in your mouth. You're looking like a bus tour You
- 21:10Speaker 3: had some commentary on the state of Arizona, which led.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Me to believe that by the way, that wasn't cool.
- 21:15Speaker 3: You led me to believe it was no big deal
- 21:17Speaker 3: to you, Like, hey, first bus out of here, I'm
- 21:19Speaker 3: on it. I didn't really think it was a big
- 21:20Speaker 3: gu I thought I was doing you a favor.
- 21:22Speaker 2: You treated Laura Atlanta. I's how you were treating Arizona.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I'm trying to tell everybody how great of a state
- 21:28Speaker 2: Arizona is, where it's located. All the things you can
- 21:30Speaker 2: go do out of nowhere, will goes Man Arizona and shit, he.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Didn't even say Arizona. He just said azy.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah. I was doing one of the things where I'm
- 21:42Speaker 2: looking out the window.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I'm hearing Taylor whole court on how incredible Arizona is,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and I'm just like, I have just a grin going
- 21:47Speaker 1: on in my brain, like I'm.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Just gonna throw out that. You know, Arizona sucks. Bro,
- 21:51Speaker 2: you're talking about sounds like a weekend of hurt. Sounds
- 21:56Speaker 2: like everybody was kind of about to get each other
- 21:57Speaker 2: this weekend. Could have communicated better. Wild random shot at
- 22:01Speaker 2: me being excited about my home state. That's just ball busting, bro.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, right, yeah, that's just ball.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Whenever the moment came up and the two thirty thing
- 22:10Speaker 1: came up, because I'm like assuming because again what he
- 22:13Speaker 1: hoped happened, Like I didn't hear what he said.
- 22:15Speaker 2: I think JP might have just told me what what
- 22:17Speaker 2: Josh said. Isn't that what happened? JP? You might have
- 22:19Speaker 2: like tapped me. Josh doesn't have to be it.
- 22:27Speaker 1: But I want to say somebody might have like, hey,
- 22:30Speaker 1: do you hear what Josh said, but it was something
- 22:32Speaker 1: like that. But either way, it's like perfect opportunity for
- 22:35Speaker 1: ball busting because I like the feeling he was explaining
- 22:38Speaker 1: that he was trying to like have it under his breath.
- 22:40Speaker 3: It's like, okay, yeah, we're doing Yeah, we're gonna do
- 22:45Speaker 3: it from the hotel room. And then we had to
- 22:46Speaker 3: walk home in the rain. We did pouring down rain
- 22:50Speaker 3: after the game, which was a splattering and we get
- 22:53Speaker 3: out of there. And now the good news is we
- 22:54Speaker 3: got home before midnight, so that's nice. Yeah, the bad
- 22:57Speaker 3: news is signidium was Dan Lanning bad news. You guys
- 23:03Speaker 3: had a couple of moments pre game. I saw it
- 23:04Speaker 3: on the flog. You had a couple of moments.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we were one that we were gonna post on
- 23:08Speaker 1: social and landing walk by in the tunnel and he
- 23:10Speaker 1: like looked at me and he was like doing this.
- 23:12Speaker 1: But by the time the caption was put together and
- 23:14Speaker 1: Clump showed it to me pick six, I was like, hey.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Put that away. Let's not put that out. So just
- 23:22Speaker 2: to put a bow on this conversation will started this way.
- 23:26Speaker 2: You both start with years are on opposite sides. You're
- 23:29Speaker 2: about to go to and do a fight, play a
- 23:30Speaker 2: football game, meats each other, will goes in and says,
- 23:33Speaker 2: I believe that we both believe we're right. However, we
- 23:36Speaker 2: can see the other side, and you said, I'll speak
- 23:39Speaker 2: for myself. I don't see it that way right now.
- 23:41Speaker 2: How do you feel at the end of this whole
- 23:43Speaker 2: entire conversation.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I can't imagine that if I would woke up in
- 23:46Speaker 3: New York and I had to do a show, and
- 23:48Speaker 3: then I had to go pick up someone in Nashville,
- 23:51Speaker 3: and then I had to go to Arizona, as bad
- 23:53Speaker 3: as it may suck, and then I had to leave Arizona,
- 23:57Speaker 3: and then I found out at two thirty in the morning,
- 24:00Speaker 3: after you've been up what twenty four straight hours?
- 24:02Speaker 2: Something like that.
- 24:03Speaker 3: I can imagine I may rage out a little bit. Internally,
- 24:07Speaker 3: I wouldn't show it. I keep a strong poker face.
- 24:10Speaker 3: I can imagine that would do something to me. Now,
- 24:13Speaker 3: would I be mad at me? Would I be mad
- 24:15Speaker 3: at ESPN? Who's to say? Does it even matter at
- 24:18Speaker 3: this point? No, it really doesn't, So I guess maybe
- 24:21Speaker 3: morally I found some middle ground.
- 24:27Speaker 2: I love you such a really such a.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Glaud of friends.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Again, it's beautiful but honestly, I'll just talk to you
- 24:35Speaker 2: guys like Josh Paate really just took no accountability.
- 24:39Speaker 3: And I told Will.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I still feel the same way. Your emotions are yours,
- 24:43Speaker 2: and I'll shake your hand. And Will took that. It
- 24:45Speaker 2: was like, we're all good now because I know, I
- 24:47Speaker 2: know I saw that all go down, and we'll goes.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I fucking love you. You say I could see it
- 24:54Speaker 2: from Will's side. You're like, I can never say it.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Why Will is mad because all the things he had
- 24:57Speaker 2: to go through.
- 24:58Speaker 3: But really I didn't say his name specifically, I just
- 25:02Speaker 3: said someone.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:03Speaker 3: And secondly, in the vlog, I thought the most poignant
- 25:06Speaker 3: moment was next morning, you guys are in the restaurant
- 25:09Speaker 3: eat breakfast, and you're just you're just talking to the
- 25:13Speaker 3: camera and you're airing out all your grievances and you say,
- 25:16Speaker 3: Pay's not even here right now. If he was here
- 25:18Speaker 3: right now, I probably don't dropped some philosophical quote on me.
- 25:21Speaker 2: I not agree with it, and I'm taking a couple
- 25:27Speaker 2: more days. Still got that all done. We feel good
- 25:30Speaker 2: about that. Yeah, I know I know his heart.
- 25:33Speaker 1: And he said even though he was like I don't
- 25:35Speaker 1: understand the side and then when he says he if
- 25:37Speaker 1: he'd go back, he'd communicate like that's all I needed
- 25:39Speaker 1: to hear.
- 25:41Speaker 3: We got a couple of reek.
- 25:41Speaker 2: If the question ever came up, if someone ever asked,
- 25:44Speaker 2: is Josh Pate for the boys? Is it one hundred
- 25:47Speaker 2: percent in your head? Yeah, how he is one hundred percent.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Josh pay would never hurt the boys, without question. He's
- 25:54Speaker 2: for the boys. That's beautiful.
- 25:57Speaker 3: I just need to shake your hand again. Very unselfish
- 25:59Speaker 3: friend here, and to prove it, I'm gonna take you
- 26:02Speaker 3: guys on a little adventure this spring. That's all I
- 26:05Speaker 3: want to say. Right now.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I want to say, right.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Now, that's all I want to say.
- 26:09Speaker 2: I'm so excited for that. That's gonna be so much fun.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Stay tuned, Stay tuned.
- 26:13Speaker 3: And I said, we may not come back from several
- 26:16Speaker 3: predictions this year, but what I'm taking you on, we
- 26:18Speaker 3: literally may not come back. That's what makes it fun.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And just like when I was in college and playing football,
- 26:25Speaker 2: if I don't come back, it's a good life.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Yeah, So I would have wanted to go.
- 26:28Speaker 2: That's how I would have wanted to go. Let's talk
- 26:30Speaker 2: with these future picks, all right, do you want to
- 26:32Speaker 2: start with just going conference by conference, Heisman National Championship,
- 26:35Speaker 2: or do you want to just look at the records
- 26:37Speaker 2: right away?
- 26:38Speaker 1: This show is brought to us by Jim Beam, and
- 26:40Speaker 1: the postseason upon us, is upon us, and there's really
- 26:43Speaker 1: nothing like it.
- 26:44Speaker 2: But the postseason can be stressful, crushing losses, wild upsets,
- 26:47Speaker 2: your unhitged six game parlay, falling apart the literal last second.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Things can get rough and it can leave you feeling
- 26:53Speaker 2: a little bit sour. But you got to look at
- 26:55Speaker 2: the bright side.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Once your team is out and handed off to decompress,
- 26:58Speaker 1: headed off to decompressed, you can and finally relax and
- 27:01Speaker 1: now you can actually enjoy the postseason without all the
- 27:04Speaker 1: heart palpitation. Now, so we're a partner with Jim Beam.
- 27:06Speaker 1: We want to help you turn that lemon of a
- 27:07Speaker 1: loss into delicious, tasty Jim Beam and lemonade because it's
- 27:12Speaker 1: really the perfect bevy for the offseason. It's refreshing, it's
- 27:15Speaker 1: got that perfect sweetness, a little bit of tang on
- 27:17Speaker 1: your tongue, and best paired with stress free watching when
- 27:21Speaker 1: your team is out.
- 27:22Speaker 2: So got to the boys grab some Jim Beam and
- 27:23Speaker 2: lemonade to make the rest of your postseason just a
- 27:26Speaker 2: little bit sweeter refresher season with Jim Beam and Lemonade
- 27:30Speaker 2: best enjoyed together.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Please drink responsibly. Jim Beam, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey forty
- 27:35Speaker 1: percent alcohol by volume, twenty twenty five.
- 27:38Speaker 2: James B. Beam Distilling, Co. Clermont, Kentucky. Back to this.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Episode, man, I don't know if I want to do any.
- 27:46Speaker 2: There's another option. You guys watch Lame Man.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Boy Buddy.
- 27:52Speaker 2: But we had a whole conversation on the plane about
- 27:55Speaker 2: lamb Man and now it's not up to snuff this
- 27:57Speaker 2: second season. I'm still watch it. Okay, what's going on?
- 28:00Speaker 2: Did this last week turn around for you?
- 28:04Speaker 3: Can I just say there were some text conversations happening
- 28:07Speaker 3: deep into the night about this this dude right here.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I don't care if you don't even host it with anyone.
- 28:13Speaker 3: It's just you stream of consciousness. If you latch onto
- 28:17Speaker 3: a show, let's say it's Land, Man, I would listen
- 28:20Speaker 3: to a ten part podcast series of you just airing
- 28:24Speaker 3: your thoughts, because, like, if you're vocalizing what I read
- 28:27Speaker 3: last night several paragraphs, not even wait for a response,
- 28:31Speaker 3: He's just hey, you mind listening? For a second. I
- 28:33Speaker 3: got some stuff to say about land Man, I would
- 28:36Speaker 3: listen to that.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I'll look into it. Yeah we did, we will. Did
- 28:44Speaker 2: we go back and forth? I mean I said yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 2: I was right on off a lot of that ways.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Like he said something to sparked the conversation because I
- 28:53Speaker 1: updated him on the news that we learned about yesterday.
- 28:57Speaker 2: And we can't share on the show.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Josh texted me at yesterday nine to twenty three, please
- 29:04Speaker 1: advise when you've watched a Laman this week. First text back,
- 29:08Speaker 1: I need Grandpa to take down the new PT and
- 29:12Speaker 1: then I just started to rattle off, you know my
- 29:15Speaker 1: thoughts on the show.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I didn't disagree with him.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Did this and that last week do anything for us?
- 29:20Speaker 2: Because when we sat there, I'm like four weeks behind.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I think I watched the first episode of season two.
- 29:24Speaker 3: It did the worst thing ever. It made you think
- 29:27Speaker 3: the next episode could do something for you.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Yes, damn, I'm gonna have to jump on.
- 29:32Speaker 1: And a massive side story that again has nothing to
- 29:36Speaker 1: do with the main storyline, but could gain that could
- 29:39Speaker 1: could garner a certain.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Audience to be excited about what was happening in the
- 29:42Speaker 2: sun right kind of like stranger Things is, so what
- 29:47Speaker 2: does that here? We go hold time? So what does
- 29:52Speaker 2: Lambman have to do with our futures? Picks?
- 29:54Speaker 1: They're just thinking about. I don't want this show to
- 29:56Speaker 1: I don't want this season to end. I just want
- 29:58Speaker 1: to hang with the boys. And I know when we
- 29:59Speaker 1: get to the football aspect of it, the football portion,
- 30:02Speaker 1: it's over.
- 30:02Speaker 2: It's gonna be over. Yeah, all rights, what do you
- 30:06Speaker 2: got with my picks? No?
- 30:09Speaker 1: I was just curious if people have been watching Landman
- 30:12Speaker 1: so we could talk about some Landman.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Did you end up what you watched?
- 30:14Speaker 3: The Yeah, I got I got thoughts separate from yours
- 30:18Speaker 3: that I won't use because they really are spoilers, But
- 30:20Speaker 3: I got some thoughts. We'll offline it.
- 30:22Speaker 2: That's that's the hard part is we're talking.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Yeah, we'd be talking about it now and it's only
- 30:26Speaker 1: been a few days since it's been out.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Can I answ this this side this side story that
- 30:30Speaker 2: has nothing to do with the main story, but you
- 30:31Speaker 2: could see can you see the side story colliding with
- 30:35Speaker 2: the main storyline somehow someway?
- 30:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess, yeah, I guess somehow some way. But
- 30:42Speaker 1: they could have done it differently. They just the the
- 30:44Speaker 1: main the main story of the entire show, with like
- 30:48Speaker 1: loi or oil cartel, war negotiations, all this stuff. Yeah,
- 30:52Speaker 1: it's only in bits and pieces throughout the episode. The
- 30:54Speaker 1: rest is filled up with nonsense. It was like the
- 30:57Speaker 1: mom and daughter and the Old People's Home. I think
- 31:01Speaker 1: Grandpa's getting shown quite a bit. I do love his
- 31:03Speaker 1: one liners. He's got some good philosophical takes.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Grandpa's the guy that sits there every night in the
- 31:08Speaker 2: wheelchair and looks out. He's just watching the sunset. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:11Speaker 2: and now he's now he's at the house moving minute dad.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I love seeing the bridging of the gap between dad
- 31:18Speaker 1: and son that storyline. But a lot of it, it's like, say,
- 31:21Speaker 1: it's a fifty minute show. Forty minutes of it is
- 31:23Speaker 1: some of these side stories that you don't care for.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you're they're funny.
- 31:28Speaker 1: They might make you laugh, but once they once it's
- 31:30Speaker 1: ran its course a few times, it's like, Okay, what
- 31:31Speaker 1: are we doing while we build out an entire plot around.
- 31:33Speaker 3: It's like someone showed up said, we got ten fifty
- 31:36Speaker 3: minute episodes to fill. We've got about two episodes worth
- 31:40Speaker 3: of meat here. What do we do? And someone in
- 31:42Speaker 3: the back, said leave it to me, and then they
- 31:45Speaker 3: just threw a bunch of fat in there with me.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Here, Yeah, wife, daughter, old folks home.
- 31:49Speaker 3: My advice to you was, watched the show on one
- 31:51Speaker 3: point seven to five speed.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that was my first advice. This kind of sucks
- 31:54Speaker 2: because he's been talking about Will is always big on
- 31:57Speaker 2: like a multiple multitude of shows. When Landman came up
- 32:01Speaker 2: and I was sitting there with my wife, I think
- 32:03Speaker 2: a week or two before the second season came out,
- 32:05Speaker 2: and I was like, we should put this on. I
- 32:06Speaker 2: heard it's great, and we flew through that first season
- 32:09Speaker 2: and it was I I, I am so excited. We
- 32:11Speaker 2: waited till now to watch it because the second season
- 32:13Speaker 2: starts like in four to five days from now. And
- 32:16Speaker 2: then I watched the first episode. I like to lean
- 32:18Speaker 2: back and kind of binge a little bit. And then
- 32:19Speaker 2: when I check in with Will three weeks ago, my hands,
- 32:22Speaker 2: anything happened in Landman, He's like, not really, And then
- 32:25Speaker 2: we have the conversation on the plane going to Arizona,
- 32:27Speaker 2: and you guys had your whole takes on. Basically, what
- 32:29Speaker 2: we're talking about now is like there's not a lot
- 32:31Speaker 2: of ass behind the show. It's really just a lot
- 32:34Speaker 2: of fat you could cut off. It's a mass in
- 32:36Speaker 2: the show bang show. Wow that's true. Oh wow, but
- 32:45Speaker 2: hey that right though, He's right, like you can't get
- 32:47Speaker 2: but this has been one episode true and we're really
- 32:51Speaker 2: just prolonging this finale of Is Josh and Taylor going
- 32:55Speaker 2: to pick different teams going into the National Championship.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Yeah, no one wants to go home.
- 33:00Speaker 2: No one wants to go home. We enjoy it that
- 33:02Speaker 2: the last.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Show of the tour. No one wants to go home.
- 33:05Speaker 2: By the way, a great zinger over there, budget demon
- 33:07Speaker 2: that was a little un Is the truth the truth?
- 33:12Speaker 2: A truth doesn't care about feelings. Futures picks.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I look at the futures picks saying, and for everybody
- 33:22Speaker 1: at home that can see this car, there's only one
- 33:24Speaker 1: green highlighted.
- 33:25Speaker 2: There's only one green high Yeah the whole sheet. Taylor
- 33:30Speaker 2: won in five Willow and six Josh.
- 33:32Speaker 3: This is for conference winners, tho.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Winters, Heisman Winter National Champion, which I do take pride
- 33:39Speaker 2: in this National Champion pick because got graphic. They came
- 33:41Speaker 2: out last week with all the sports media figures and
- 33:46Speaker 2: there's only one individual that's still there was wive in
- 33:48Speaker 2: the hunt, knowing that you had anything I knew, Like,
- 33:52Speaker 2: damn it, if I go back, I neither. Yeah, but
- 33:54Speaker 2: I'm kind of happy because then it wouldn't be what
- 33:56Speaker 2: we have right now, which is too tied. Two individuals
- 34:00Speaker 2: tied going to the national championship.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you know how I looked at it that graphic,
- 34:06Speaker 1: I'm a year away. I was a year off with
- 34:09Speaker 1: Josh in that graphic though.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Can you read him off?
- 34:14Speaker 2: Uh So the national champion, Taylor had Oregon.
- 34:16Speaker 1: He's and he was speaking about the on three graphics
- 34:18Speaker 1: that went out with all the college football personalities and
- 34:20Speaker 1: the teams that they picked.
- 34:21Speaker 2: He was the only one that had a team left,
- 34:23Speaker 2: which was Oregon in the semi final.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I had Texas and you had Alabama, Suppress Price.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Indiana, Oregon, Ole, miss Miami. Yeah. Reasonably. At the beginning
- 34:34Speaker 3: of the season, the only one of those teams anyone
- 34:38Speaker 3: that I know of would have picked would have been Oregon.
- 34:40Speaker 3: The other three no one would have picked, right.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Right, Maybe Indiana second because they know the playoffs last year.
- 34:45Speaker 1: I never saw anyone, you think, not with Ohio State,
- 34:48Speaker 1: say like Michigan hadn't played.
- 34:50Speaker 2: The season yet.
- 34:51Speaker 3: The top five preseason. Remember that, and Indiana has got
- 34:54Speaker 3: to go to Penn State. Don't forget what you know now.
- 34:59Speaker 2: And I love that she said that because Penn State
- 35:00Speaker 2: people that want to hate him in state now like
- 35:02Speaker 2: that roster is still a top ten roster in college.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Football and was perceived to be top five. I mean,
- 35:07Speaker 3: haters of Penn State were ranking them number eight preseason. Yeah,
- 35:12Speaker 3: so so Indiana had to go to Penn State, had
- 35:14Speaker 3: to go to Oregon. Plus, you got this whole idea
- 35:16Speaker 3: in your mind that man, now everyone's on to them.
- 35:18Speaker 3: They're on everyone's radar. Certainly, you got sophomore slump potential,
- 35:22Speaker 3: you got complacency. Now we know better, but you couldn't
- 35:26Speaker 3: have known better at the beginning of the season. So
- 35:27Speaker 3: I didn't see a single person pick Indiana to win
- 35:30Speaker 3: the national title. I didn't see a single person.
- 35:32Speaker 2: On the topic of Indiana. A lot of conspiracy theories
- 35:35Speaker 2: on the internet right.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Now, Oh there is you know how the internet is.
- 35:40Speaker 2: They go crazy, Hey, and Indiana people are saying that
- 35:46Speaker 2: they're hacking catapult. Mark Cuban Big Investors is the owner
- 35:51Speaker 2: you put the pinfoil hat on. We're just putting a
- 35:53Speaker 2: tinfoil hat on right now.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Marks an owner in Catapult. Catapults is the technology that
- 35:58Speaker 1: a lot of college football teams.
- 35:59Speaker 2: You to watch film, break down plays, give coaches notes,
- 36:05Speaker 2: track guys and how fast running, how much they're putting
- 36:08Speaker 2: out from a vo two met all. Yeah, and Mark Cuban,
- 36:11Speaker 2: who's an alumni of Indiana, he owns that company or
- 36:15Speaker 2: is an investor in that company.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Do you know if there's any truth to this, Josh
- 36:20Speaker 3: B I personally don't know if there's any truth to this.
- 36:23Speaker 3: I can tell you there are some people that believe
- 36:26Speaker 3: there's truth to it. However, I've told every single one
- 36:30Speaker 3: of them show me, and no one has shown me anything. Certainly,
- 36:35Speaker 3: if you do to the college football world what Indiana
- 36:37Speaker 3: has done, it's going to rub some people the wrong
- 36:39Speaker 3: way because you're out of your place. Your place is
- 36:43Speaker 3: to serve up a win to us. All of a sudden,
- 36:45Speaker 3: you're not doing that anymore, and you look way better
- 36:47Speaker 3: than we think you should be able to look. So
- 36:50Speaker 3: instead of crediting you, we're going to be suspicious. I
- 36:53Speaker 3: got no problem with that, because I'm a little skeptical
- 36:55Speaker 3: about things in life as well. How are they doing that?
- 36:58Speaker 3: How are they getting that good so quick? They're less
- 37:00Speaker 3: talented than this team. How are they running circles around them?
- 37:03Speaker 3: Got no problem with that. I'm going to stop well
- 37:05Speaker 3: short of just baselessly throwing out claims. But these people
- 37:07Speaker 3: haven't stopped short. So I've asked like half a dozen
- 37:11Speaker 3: people that we're talking about whose opinions I at least
- 37:13Speaker 3: somewhat respect. Some of them are outright in the coaching industry,
- 37:17Speaker 3: so I've said to every one of them, you got
- 37:18Speaker 3: any proof of it? It's all speculation. It's all speculation
- 37:23Speaker 3: to this point. So what I'm going to do is
- 37:27Speaker 3: until otherwise notified, I'm going to laugh in people's face
- 37:30Speaker 3: about it until I'm showed evidence. Right, That's all I
- 37:34Speaker 3: can do.
- 37:34Speaker 2: You need to be on the wrong side of that.
- 37:36Speaker 2: One of my favorite things to do in early twenty
- 37:38Speaker 2: twenty six is to go on x formally known as
- 37:41Speaker 2: Twitter and get on these spaces and with all the
- 37:44Speaker 2: transfer portal stuff going on, I have like these, you know,
- 37:48Speaker 2: one percenter Michigan Wolverine fan bases that start these spaces
- 37:52Speaker 2: and they kind of break down the day of how
- 37:53Speaker 2: the transfer portal went and stuff like that. And I've
- 37:55Speaker 2: jumped in probably half a dozen of these. At some
- 37:59Speaker 2: point you can go on, you can just show you,
- 38:01Speaker 2: you can show hey, it's me in here, and I do.
- 38:02Speaker 2: And every time we get into a conversation and I
- 38:05Speaker 2: jumped in last night, they're breaking down Snowden and French
- 38:08Speaker 2: and these guys who got in the transferport. Everyone's really
- 38:10Speaker 2: excited for French. They are saying we're a national championship contender.
- 38:15Speaker 2: I kind of fall back a little bit, like boys,
- 38:16Speaker 2: we got to see some development, see how good these
- 38:18Speaker 2: coaches really are. But the topic comes up about Indiana,
- 38:22Speaker 2: and all these Michigan guys are just screaming like they've
- 38:26Speaker 2: already john a line the sand. These guys are cheaters.
- 38:28Speaker 2: And I let them go for about thirty seconds before
- 38:30Speaker 2: I hit them with the Will Compton looking out the bus.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Hold on, hold on, hold on, give me time I go.
- 38:38Speaker 2: If there's any fan base that should probably fall back
- 38:42Speaker 2: about about this, it's probably us. Let's just let's sit
- 38:48Speaker 2: back for a second, like, well, we didn't do anything
- 38:49Speaker 2: on my boys. Lay, I'll hold that flag forever. However,
- 38:54Speaker 2: three years ago, two and a half years ago, the
- 38:58Speaker 2: same conversations happy with Michigan and there's a lot lot
- 39:00Speaker 2: more evidence around that than there is run India. Wow,
- 39:04Speaker 2: maybe we should just kind of fall back to which
- 39:06Speaker 2: they were like fuck that cheeks, and I realized I
- 39:10Speaker 2: love these group of boys. Yeah. I can't wait to
- 39:14Speaker 2: go to ann Arbor for a game next year. Hopefully
- 39:16Speaker 2: the Fall don't lie to hers there. We're there and
- 39:19Speaker 2: I have a couple of guys that I can't recognize
- 39:21Speaker 2: it all with their faces, but they say, Hey, you've
- 39:23Speaker 2: been in my Space and we're like boys just because
- 39:26Speaker 2: that George Kittle and guys guys be in his dms,
- 39:29Speaker 2: and then you go to parties that he host kittle
- 39:32Speaker 2: Fest and they're like, oh, how do you know George?
- 39:34Speaker 2: We just DMed him one day and we became boys.
- 39:36Speaker 2: That's what I'm hoping happens throughout my space's journey.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Wow.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I shake a dude and he's like, I'm like, so,
- 39:42Speaker 1: how do you know Tailor? He's like, I'm the the
- 39:43Speaker 1: what is it? The Bryce Unleashed?
- 39:47Speaker 2: It seems like he's the leader of the group. He's
- 39:49Speaker 2: always going on the spaces and it's so funny to
- 39:52Speaker 2: go through their timelines and to watch them be like
- 39:54Speaker 2: Bryce absolutely sucks and then like three hours later, it's
- 39:56Speaker 2: like this kid's going to be elite and they just
- 40:00Speaker 2: live that. Everything is just so emotional, and I love
- 40:03Speaker 2: to be a part of it because you really understand
- 40:05Speaker 2: the fan base when you do that. I suggest anybody
- 40:07Speaker 2: out there, especially u JP, like there's a couple of
- 40:10Speaker 2: spaces for South Carolina, just go in there and just
- 40:13Speaker 2: enjoy the conversation. It is fun, man, it's a good time.
- 40:18Speaker 2: But this is telling me that we sucked at our futures.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Who didn't.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna get this because I do believe that
- 40:24Speaker 2: you're national champion. I have a suspicion that is gonna
- 40:28Speaker 2: be the same as same next year as it is
- 40:30Speaker 2: this year.
- 40:30Speaker 3: You really think so you think I was a year
- 40:32Speaker 3: two early.
- 40:33Speaker 2: No, I think you're gonna believe you're a year too
- 40:35Speaker 2: early to where Alabama pay comes back out.
- 40:40Speaker 3: Yeah, should I let my dad make my picks for me?
- 40:44Speaker 2: You let your dad make your picks. Like, who's the
- 40:46Speaker 2: new quarterback for Alabama? Keilan Russell. He's gonna start. Everybody's
- 40:52Speaker 2: telling me how great that kid is. He'll win the Heisman, not.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Even in the Heisman odds on fendor.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Right now, Alabama won the SE's champion, Alabama won the
- 40:59Speaker 2: Big twelve champion. Your dad will pick all of them
- 41:01Speaker 2: for every time.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I've been seeing stuff too in the Alabama world about
- 41:03Speaker 1: spending in ANIL or kind of like they're not keeping
- 41:08Speaker 1: up with the times or the elite of the elite
- 41:09Speaker 1: because they've always handed they've always just handled it conservatively,
- 41:12Speaker 1: and it's just a it's just a new age. And
- 41:16Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm sitting there listening to these guys,
- 41:18Speaker 1: I can't remember their names, but they're kind of talking about,
- 41:20Speaker 1: you know, the Bama nil, the portal, the spending that
- 41:23Speaker 1: goes on the position that Bama uses that they think
- 41:26Speaker 1: is leverage, but it's actually not leverage. It hurts them
- 41:28Speaker 1: because they're not trying to keep up with all the
- 41:30Speaker 1: biggest spenders in the conference and trying to kind of
- 41:33Speaker 1: get over that hump that every team's trying to get
- 41:34Speaker 1: over of like hating in IL or resisting in IL,
- 41:37Speaker 1: or feeling like you can do it a certain way
- 41:39Speaker 1: and still and still win it all, which I mean,
- 41:41Speaker 1: I guess you can, but I just didn't expect a
- 41:45Speaker 1: team like Alabama to hear fan base talking like that.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Yeah, the SEC is so interesting to me because like
- 41:51Speaker 2: they've obviously been so dominant forever and now this is
- 41:55Speaker 2: the third national championship where they're no SEC team cannot
- 41:59Speaker 2: win next year though, and Paul Finbaum even goes on
- 42:03Speaker 2: live TV and says the Big Ten is the superior
- 42:06Speaker 2: conference to the SEC. I'm not sure what happened, but
- 42:09Speaker 2: he's basically putting a full indictment in the entire SEC
- 42:12Speaker 2: right now. What do you think the issue is?
- 42:14Speaker 3: Severalfold number one? The Big Ten's allowed to try too,
- 42:19Speaker 3: So you could just have that there's somewhat of a
- 42:21Speaker 3: cyclical nature of football. You could have that the NIO
- 42:24Speaker 3: has changed the top of the tallest trees, or both
- 42:27Speaker 3: of those things could be true. I think there's like
- 42:30Speaker 3: a layer. It's not the top layer, but that there's
- 42:32Speaker 3: a sub layer that the SEC for so long had
- 42:36Speaker 3: an edge talent wise, that they knew they roll out
- 42:39Speaker 3: of bed every morning. Then they have it not so
- 42:41Speaker 3: much because they're great, but because of what geography was
- 42:44Speaker 3: in college football, because the SEC was willing to do
- 42:46Speaker 3: stuff under the table that the rest of college football
- 42:49Speaker 3: wasn't willing to do. You're basically paying kids to stay home,
- 42:51Speaker 3: like it's not the toughest proposition in the world to
- 42:53Speaker 3: convince a kid from Tuscumbia, Alabama to play as football
- 42:56Speaker 3: in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, or like Clarksville to go play in Athens, Georgia.
- 43:01Speaker 3: So I think they got a little lazy in the
- 43:04Speaker 3: way they hire staffing. It's just a theory I'm working on.
- 43:06Speaker 3: I can ever prove this, but I think they understood
- 43:09Speaker 3: it may be hoove us to hire recruiters over coaches
- 43:11Speaker 3: in the SEC, because that's really our lifeblood. We need
- 43:14Speaker 3: to maintain this massive talent edge on the rest of
- 43:16Speaker 3: college football. Therefore, we don't need to win on the margins.
- 43:20Speaker 3: We don't need to squeeze the sponge a little harder
- 43:22Speaker 3: to get a few more drops out Like University of
- 43:24Speaker 3: Illinois Iowa. They got to do that. We're Florida, We're LSU.
- 43:28Speaker 3: We don't have to do that. So then the sport
- 43:30Speaker 3: didn't change gradually. It changed pretty quickly. Over the last
- 43:33Speaker 3: five years. It's changed pretty radically. And I think the
- 43:36Speaker 3: SEC got caught with its pants down. And I also
- 43:38Speaker 3: think the SEC got caught with buildings full of people
- 43:41Speaker 3: that probably are seventy five percent of what may be
- 43:46Speaker 3: in those big ten buildings from a pure standpoint of
- 43:48Speaker 3: football acumen, an ability to coach, and ability to develop
- 43:52Speaker 3: because for so long in the SEC they knew we
- 43:54Speaker 3: need to be C plus or B minus in those areas,
- 43:56Speaker 3: we'll be fine. Athletes will just win for us. There's
- 44:00Speaker 3: any one thing like, yeah, you could say NIL changed things,
- 44:03Speaker 3: which it did, but you got to get more specific
- 44:05Speaker 3: on what it changed. And then from the SEC's viewpoint, okay,
- 44:09Speaker 3: well then let's get specific on whether that's permanent. Is
- 44:11Speaker 3: this just cyclical? Does this come back around? Because like
- 44:15Speaker 3: I grew up watching pro wrestling, huge fan of it,
- 44:17Speaker 3: like in the late nineties, as every kid my age
- 44:20Speaker 3: was all right, so you got WWF. It's on top
- 44:22Speaker 3: for a long time, and then Ted Turner invests in
- 44:24Speaker 3: WCW and then it blows up, and then WWF takes
- 44:27Speaker 3: a back seat for like eighty two weeks in a row.
- 44:29Speaker 3: They get beaten the Monday Night ratings. Then Stone called
- 44:32Speaker 3: Steve Auston emerges and then they retake the throne. But
- 44:36Speaker 3: from that point forward it wasn't cyclical. WCW just died
- 44:40Speaker 3: and it never was again. So like, how does college
- 44:42Speaker 3: football look? Is it just back and forth, jockeying for position,
- 44:46Speaker 3: or did Nil really just do something that permanently alters
- 44:49Speaker 3: the landscape. I would imagine that's not true, but you
- 44:52Speaker 3: never know. My crystal ball doesn't see that far in
- 44:54Speaker 3: the future. I love a good wrestling analogy always.
- 44:57Speaker 1: I was a big WCW fan, Nitro guy I was.
- 45:02Speaker 1: I was Bill Goldberg when Sting came over, Paul Cogan
- 45:07Speaker 1: came over. Now, as soon as you see the documentary
- 45:09Speaker 1: with Vince McMahon, which one the one where it's it's
- 45:12Speaker 1: essentially talking about all the doings like when WWF was
- 45:16Speaker 1: taking the back seat, everything that you explain on Like
- 45:18Speaker 1: I'm remembering that documentary with Vince McMahon.
- 45:21Speaker 3: It's a fascinating period of time.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and Ted what's his name, Ted Turner.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Owned the Atlanta Braves. That's what That's why I knew
- 45:29Speaker 3: Ted Turner. He owned the Atlanta Braves because he.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Was also a wrestler in WCW, like him owning it right, Yeah,
- 45:35Speaker 1: he owned WCW.
- 45:37Speaker 3: He owned Turner so TBS, T and T all of
- 45:40Speaker 3: those things. And he used that ownership of T and
- 45:42Speaker 3: T to get into the wrestling business and then give
- 45:46Speaker 3: his brand WCW a primetime spot on Monday Night to
- 45:51Speaker 3: go head to head with WWF. Until that point, they
- 45:54Speaker 3: were running unopposed on Monday Night. You got two hour
- 45:57Speaker 3: block of time on USA Network on Monday Night. And
- 45:59Speaker 3: then all of a sudden, Ted Turner or a billionaire
- 46:01Speaker 3: comes into the room and says, I think I'm going
- 46:03Speaker 3: to get in the wrestling business, and since I own
- 46:05Speaker 3: a network, I'm going to give my brand two hours
- 46:07Speaker 3: of primetime TV on Monday Night. No, by the way,
- 46:09Speaker 3: we're gonna go live where his WWF was just taped
- 46:12Speaker 3: at that point, and then we're gonna start giving away
- 46:15Speaker 3: their results on our live show to disenfranchised viewers from
- 46:21Speaker 3: turning over to WWF program. It was lethal all war.
- 46:25Speaker 2: He was like, I'm going to join the show. He
- 46:28Speaker 2: was became a wrestler. He was an actual wrestler who
- 46:31Speaker 2: owned a network company. Yeah. I took WCW and said,
- 46:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna make you guys the biggest in the show.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Hey, this guy NA joined the joined the show. This
- 46:40Speaker 1: guy in the but was joining the show. She's like
- 46:43Speaker 1: NW he was part of nWo.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't remember that. White Eric Bishop not like
- 46:48Speaker 3: a part of it.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Like he's one of the founders, but you know, just
- 46:51Speaker 1: in it from his position going in and.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Out of the world.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Listen.
- 46:54Speaker 2: But yeah, I remember him as like a he was wrestling.
- 46:56Speaker 3: That's pro wrestling, that's all make believe. Head Turner named
- 47:00Speaker 3: himself manager of the Atlanta Braves for a game in
- 47:03Speaker 3: the eighties, and then Major League Baseball had to step
- 47:05Speaker 3: in and say, that's not happening. So this guy in
- 47:09Speaker 3: a real legit sport, one of the big four sports,
- 47:12Speaker 3: said I own the team, why can't I be the manager?
- 47:15Speaker 3: And then Major League Baseball had to step in and say,
- 47:17Speaker 3: cause you just can't, you gotta, you gotta retire. Yeah,
- 47:22Speaker 3: so he was one game manager and then he he
- 47:25Speaker 3: I don't even know if he won, but he hung
- 47:27Speaker 3: up the whistles.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Wikipedia's gotta be crazy, all backlas manager in the MLB,
- 47:32Speaker 2: pro wrestler, billionaire on a cable a network company. That's
- 47:37Speaker 2: This is a world that you, guys, I see both
- 47:38Speaker 2: of you guys eyes light up about that. I never
- 47:41Speaker 2: was invested in. Ever.
- 47:42Speaker 3: Here's what fascinates me about it, all right, I think
- 47:45Speaker 3: there's so many parallels to what we do to the
- 47:47Speaker 3: world we're in. Like I ingest a ton of podcasting
- 47:51Speaker 3: about that topic from that era, and I don't even care.
- 47:54Speaker 3: If you don't like wrestling, you you can never have
- 47:56Speaker 3: watched an episode of pro wrestling in your life. The
- 47:59Speaker 3: parallel els to the way the modern digital media ecosystem
- 48:03Speaker 3: works so readily correlate with how pro wrestling worked in
- 48:07Speaker 3: the late nineties. There's so many lessons to be learned.
- 48:09Speaker 3: It just so happens that I also liked wrestling growing up.
- 48:12Speaker 3: But even if I didn't, I could listen to that.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Can you imagine people saying, we filled this show with
- 48:17Speaker 3: fluff and don't talk about college football enough.
- 48:19Speaker 2: This is just old school podcast. Yeah, that's all it is.
- 48:22Speaker 2: All right, Before we get into a True Classic game
- 48:24Speaker 2: of the week, I want to talk to you about
- 48:25Speaker 2: True Class. You can find True Classic and am at
- 48:27Speaker 2: Amazon and Costco, Sam's Club and Target nationwide, or you
- 48:29Speaker 2: can go online at True Classic dot com Forward slash Busting.
- 48:33Speaker 2: I got the pants on right here. They're hyped up
- 48:35Speaker 2: pretty high right now, but I'm telling you they fit great.
- 48:37Speaker 2: They got to stretch the elasticity and them look good,
- 48:41Speaker 2: feel good, play good. Let's get at the True Classic
- 48:43Speaker 2: game of the week. All right, let's talk about Miami. Yeah,
- 48:49Speaker 2: this is it, dude. This is the true classic game
- 48:50Speaker 2: of the week. Every week's got games. Will we one
- 48:52Speaker 2: fit just right? This is the true classic game of
- 48:54Speaker 2: the week. We got the National Championship hard Rock Stadium
- 48:58Speaker 2: in Miami. In Miami, he's at home, but they are
- 49:01Speaker 2: the way team play Indiana. Who's favored by eight and
- 49:04Speaker 2: a half. And the total points in that game is
- 49:06Speaker 2: forty seven and a half. Right now, you, Josh paid
- 49:09Speaker 2: your forty four and forty four. I am forty four
- 49:11Speaker 2: and forty four. Will Compton is here as well, and
- 49:15Speaker 2: a couple good wins, a couple of good wins. Threats,
- 49:18Speaker 2: you had a good showing. Yeah, like that forty and
- 49:20Speaker 2: forty eight? What do you call it? Respective respectively? Respectively?
- 49:24Speaker 2: Like that's a good that's that's solid. Don't pay your guys, man.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Now the light has to be drawn in the sand,
- 49:30Speaker 2: because two weeks ago we sat there at talking about
- 49:34Speaker 2: the Rose Bowl. Yep, you looked me in the eyes,
- 49:36Speaker 2: and I actually looked at you in the eyes and said,
- 49:38Speaker 2: if you're so confident about Alabama, take a money line,
- 49:41Speaker 2: and would you.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Say already did you already did?
- 49:44Speaker 2: And that blew up.
- 49:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I died.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Now we have another opportunity where Indiana has a win
- 49:49Speaker 2: margin of thirty one points. They're now being talked about
- 49:52Speaker 2: with the twenty nineteen LSU and some of those Alabama teams,
- 49:56Speaker 2: is the best teams to ever be assembled while only
- 49:59Speaker 2: having seven blue chip players.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Yeah, which is insane, But the talk is happening.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Why do you think it's insane.
- 50:04Speaker 3: It's just due. I don't never do the comparative thing.
- 50:06Speaker 3: I never compared Barry Bonds and Babe Ruth for the
- 50:08Speaker 3: same reasons. But I think that you're talking about teams,
- 50:11Speaker 3: whether it's twenty nineteen LSU or twenty twenty Alabama, that
- 50:14Speaker 3: would skull drag any team that exists right now Michigan, Yeah, exactly,
- 50:18Speaker 3: they would skull drag twenty twenty three Michigan two. So
- 50:21Speaker 3: this is only five years ago. That might as well
- 50:24Speaker 3: be fifty years ago with the way college football has changed. Okay,
- 50:27Speaker 3: And you don't need to do that. You don't need
- 50:30Speaker 3: to go down the rist. It's like the Lebron Michael
- 50:32Speaker 3: Jordan debate. I just never needed to do it. I
- 50:34Speaker 3: think I got a crazy take that both of them
- 50:36Speaker 3: are pretty good. I don't need to denegrate one to
- 50:39Speaker 3: like build up the other. I don't need to take
- 50:41Speaker 3: twenty twenty six slash five Indiana, a team that, if
- 50:45Speaker 3: you want to tell me it's the greatest story in
- 50:46Speaker 3: college football history, I'm not even pushing back on it
- 50:49Speaker 3: and say, yeah, but you know, the probably wouldn't beat
- 50:52Speaker 3: twenty nineteen LSU, all right, probably wouldn't. Yeah, nobody else
- 50:55Speaker 3: would either, probably wouldn't. So the question is, is already
- 50:59Speaker 3: thinking Indiana, I'm glad you asked.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Let me put do get them more comfortable.
- 51:06Speaker 3: Nobody, including my own parents, has taught me more lessons
- 51:09Speaker 3: in life than Kurt Signetti and the twenty twenty four
- 51:12Speaker 3: s last twenty five Indiana Hoosiers. I think they got
- 51:16Speaker 3: to teach me at least one more lesson because as
- 51:19Speaker 3: of now, unless you talk me off of it in
- 51:21Speaker 3: the next ten minutes, however long this preview goes, my
- 51:24Speaker 3: current plan is to pick Miami to win this game. Outright,
- 51:29Speaker 3: My current plan is to pick Miami.
- 51:32Speaker 2: For the show, we'll do numbers. Yep, because it sounds
- 51:34Speaker 2: like you're doing Miami, I'm taking Indiana. Dude, go with
- 51:38Speaker 2: what your gut tells you.
- 51:39Speaker 3: My gut tells me you think.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Miami money line, Then god damn it picked the Miami
- 51:43Speaker 2: money line.
- 51:46Speaker 3: He just spent a week half a week. How long
- 51:49Speaker 3: did you stay in Vegas?
- 51:50Speaker 2: I was there the same time you guys were doing
- 51:52Speaker 2: the plane Say, oh so like a.
- 51:53Speaker 3: Couple of days. All right? So, I mean you're speaking math.
- 51:58Speaker 3: You're breathing in math and numbers like it's oxygen. This
- 52:01Speaker 3: is second nature to you. So I walk in this
- 52:03Speaker 3: morning before we start recording, and you're kind of trying
- 52:05Speaker 3: to feel me out. I'm kind of trying to feel
- 52:07Speaker 3: you out. You know, we're deadlocked. We got one game left.
- 52:10Speaker 3: Someone's going to be able to walk away from this
- 52:11Speaker 3: game saying I had a winning year. None of those
- 52:14Speaker 3: other two dudes did. That's how important this is.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Which means more than we can even imagine right now.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's everything.
- 52:20Speaker 2: It is. It's everything.
- 52:23Speaker 3: And you heard, because you would never watch my show
- 52:26Speaker 3: the night before you do a show with nightymore never
- 52:29Speaker 3: you heard that I picked Miami plus eight and a
- 52:31Speaker 3: half last night. But you also heard that I picked
- 52:33Speaker 3: them to win the game outright right.
- 52:36Speaker 2: I heard you're taking Miami. Yeah, from a.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Source, And so you with a straight face, like a
- 52:42Speaker 3: true serial killer. Would you look at me and you say, hey,
- 52:45Speaker 3: we got to break our tie. You're picking Miami out right.
- 52:48Speaker 3: I said, yeah, let's just go money line, like in
- 52:51Speaker 3: a one off scenario where the picks are supposed to
- 52:54Speaker 3: be fifty to fifty either way. It's really a true
- 52:56Speaker 3: coin flip. I'm just going to forget the eight and
- 52:59Speaker 3: a half points that I can could get here, and
- 53:01Speaker 3: I'm just gonna go Miami money line, putting the sea
- 53:04Speaker 3: saw statistically with me totally up in the air and
- 53:07Speaker 3: you totally on the ground, and you thought I wasn't
- 53:10Speaker 3: even gonna be able to see through that. So I
- 53:12Speaker 3: refuse the money line proposition because I'm terrified of Indiana,
- 53:16Speaker 3: because I know what the Rose Bowl did to me.
- 53:18Speaker 3: I'm still not back. I've showed up for the shows,
- 53:21Speaker 3: but I'm still not really back from the Rose Bowl.
- 53:24Speaker 2: Two and oh last week, Buck, I was.
- 53:28Speaker 3: On the floor in the bathroom flipping a coin right
- 53:31Speaker 3: before the show went on the air. It was pure luck,
- 53:36Speaker 3: by the grace of God. I'm here and we get
- 53:39Speaker 3: to pick this game, and I'm gonna do it in
- 53:41Speaker 3: reverse order. I'm gonna give my pick and then give
- 53:43Speaker 3: the reasons. So my pick is Miami plus eight and
- 53:45Speaker 3: a half. Do I think they're gonna win?
- 53:47Speaker 2: Yes?
- 53:47Speaker 3: I picked them to win. But my pick on the
- 53:50Speaker 3: show is Miami eight and a half. We're going eight
- 53:51Speaker 3: and a half, right, yeah, we're going to get Okay,
- 53:54Speaker 3: my pick is Miami.
- 53:54Speaker 2: A let me ask you a question.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Do you think Miami's best game is good enough to
- 54:00Speaker 3: win this? Because you assume Indiana is just going to
- 54:03Speaker 3: play the way they always play, right?
- 54:04Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 54:05Speaker 3: Do you think Miami's best game is good enough to win?
- 54:08Speaker 3: Not cover you win? You think they're good enough to win.
- 54:10Speaker 2: I think they're good enough to win.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Okay, I do too. So I got a bunch of
- 54:13Speaker 3: things written on this piece of paper, but really it
- 54:15Speaker 3: boils down to do I think they're going to play
- 54:16Speaker 3: their best game? Because Indiana is really good at knocking
- 54:19Speaker 3: you off the tracks and derailing you. And you're like,
- 54:21Speaker 3: why aren't we moving? Why can't we play our best game?
- 54:23Speaker 3: Because they're really good at forcing you off of your fastball.
- 54:29Speaker 3: This is the first game out of the games Indiana's
- 54:31Speaker 3: played in the playoff or including the Big Ten championship game. Honestly,
- 54:36Speaker 3: where I don't just look at it and say, on
- 54:38Speaker 3: the line of scrimmage, that team's got to deal with
- 54:40Speaker 3: Miami or uh with Indiana, Like, yeah, everyone's had to
- 54:43Speaker 3: deal with Indiana. They're a handful to deal with line
- 54:45Speaker 3: of scrimmage. It's the first game where I actually have
- 54:48Speaker 3: looked at Indiana and said, yeah, you guys got to
- 54:50Speaker 3: deal with them too, because I really think Miami can
- 54:52Speaker 3: do some damage on the line of scrimmage. Now, what
- 54:54Speaker 3: does that mean for the game? To me, it means
- 54:56Speaker 3: it becomes a little bit harder for Indiana to just
- 54:59Speaker 3: control the game on the ground, Like they've been really
- 55:01Speaker 3: good running the ball. There's so lethal on third down.
- 55:04Speaker 3: They're like first in the country by a mile on
- 55:07Speaker 3: third down offense conversion rate because it's always third and two.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Because it's always third and one. I think Miami not
- 55:14Speaker 3: only possesses the ability to stone them against the run
- 55:17Speaker 3: a little bit, but not necessarily like have to commit
- 55:20Speaker 3: a bunch of numbers to do it. Miami kind is
- 55:22Speaker 3: good at doing what Indiana does, which is stopping the
- 55:24Speaker 3: room before. Yeah, and so you can't really stretch the
- 55:26Speaker 3: field or it's hard to do it. You also can't
- 55:28Speaker 3: run the ball, so I think Miami can do that,
- 55:31Speaker 3: And at that point, it really just comes down to
- 55:33Speaker 3: is Fernando Mendoza in the same zone he was against Organ?
- 55:35Speaker 3: Because if he is, Indiana will just win the game
- 55:37Speaker 3: because no one's beating Indiana if he's in the kind
- 55:39Speaker 3: of zone he was against Organ. If you took away
- 55:41Speaker 3: the turnovers in the Organ game, Indiana is still winning
- 55:44Speaker 3: that thing handedly just because of the zone that Fernando
- 55:46Speaker 3: Mendoza was in. So question becomes can you stop the run?
- 55:50Speaker 3: I think they can enough, and then can you get
- 55:53Speaker 3: after him enough to where I don't think he's gonna
- 55:56Speaker 3: throw like three picks or anything. But he's not in
- 55:58Speaker 3: the same kind of zone he was against Oregon. He's
- 56:01Speaker 3: just human. And then you pull that offense back down
- 56:04Speaker 3: to Earth and you can ugly up the game, which
- 56:06Speaker 3: they're comfortable with Indiana is, but you ugly up the
- 56:09Speaker 3: game and you give that size differential a chance to
- 56:13Speaker 3: manifest itself. From the fourth quarter, you're averaging three point
- 56:16Speaker 3: thirty on your O line. They're about two seventy to
- 56:18Speaker 3: seventy five D line, which hasn't mattered all year. So
- 56:21Speaker 3: they're really really good technicians. But I also think Miami's
- 56:24Speaker 3: really good in that compartment, and if I can get
- 56:26Speaker 3: this thing into the fourth quarter, it's one possession or
- 56:29Speaker 3: tied either way. I trust Miami's ability to get over
- 56:32Speaker 3: the finish line here, So that's why I took him
- 56:34Speaker 3: to win. But that style of game really makes me
- 56:37Speaker 3: eager to take the eight and a half. So that's
- 56:39Speaker 3: why I took the eight and a half.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Yeah, both teams have the ability to do what they
- 56:43Speaker 2: want to do all year to each other. Yep. Right.
- 56:45Speaker 2: They want to run the ball effectively, they want to
- 56:46Speaker 2: control the line of scrimmage, they want to get into
- 56:48Speaker 2: the third and managable situation.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Here's here's what concerns me. Good, You're right, I haven't
- 56:52Speaker 3: seen Indiana be the victim of like critical mistakes all year.
- 56:57Speaker 3: I've seen Miami be the victim of critical mistakes. My
- 57:00Speaker 3: entire thinking here is they avoid the critical mistakes. Indiana's
- 57:04Speaker 3: like they're just cruising altitude. Miami's like, we could maybe
- 57:08Speaker 3: get up to forty two thousand feet, but we can
- 57:10Speaker 3: fly at twenty eight thousand feet the next week. So
- 57:11Speaker 3: I'm just rolling the dice that they hit forty one
- 57:15Speaker 3: thousand feet in this.
- 57:16Speaker 2: Game, right, That is the point of which I look
- 57:18Speaker 2: at Indiana and I'm like, this is a team that
- 57:20Speaker 2: is going to win the national championship because you can
- 57:22Speaker 2: run the ball effectively. I love the note about the
- 57:24Speaker 2: offensive line. They're averaging three thirty versus defense that's averaging
- 57:28Speaker 2: two seventy. However, the gap integrity that the defense has
- 57:31Speaker 2: is absolutely incredible. When you get to third down, they
- 57:35Speaker 2: I think their defense is like thirty one percent of
- 57:38Speaker 2: allowing offenses to convert. I believe that's the correct percentage.
- 57:41Speaker 2: They just don't make mistakes. The game they made the
- 57:44Speaker 2: most mistakes in was the first game against Oregon. They
- 57:47Speaker 2: had multiple false star issues, clock management issues. But then
- 57:51Speaker 2: you get to a two minute situation when there's twenty
- 57:54Speaker 2: eight seconds that's on the clock in Fernana Mendozo does
- 57:56Speaker 2: what he does best, and that's hit the outside. The
- 57:59Speaker 2: numbers just rot and Cooper throwing back shoulder throws once
- 58:02Speaker 2: the corners have turned their shoulders. I've talked to Will
- 58:04Speaker 2: about this a million times. Like Brenana Mendoza runs more
- 58:08Speaker 2: rpo than any other quarterback in the entire college football landscape.
- 58:12Speaker 2: And when you're as a defense, if you're trying to
- 58:14Speaker 2: stop that, and you're trying to stop the run. Yet
- 58:17Speaker 2: you have Cooper running a quick slant which gives you
- 58:19Speaker 2: a read, and you have Sarrot who's running a vertical
- 58:22Speaker 2: when he has press coverage against.
- 58:23Speaker 3: Him, and Becker who's a stud.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Yeah, so you have these guys that he has multiple
- 58:27Speaker 2: outlets on every single play essentially, even though they are
- 58:31Speaker 2: a fifty to fifty we're going to run it or
- 58:32Speaker 2: pass it to where we have this get out a
- 58:34Speaker 2: jail free card in these areas because Cooper's gonna run
- 58:37Speaker 2: this three yard slant, have enough separation to move the
- 58:39Speaker 2: ball five yards, or I got sarat who's got the
- 58:42Speaker 2: cornerback's shoulders already turned, and I can throw that fifteen
- 58:45Speaker 2: yards downfield and he's just gonna turn to it and stop,
- 58:48Speaker 2: and it's either going to result in a passer a DPI,
- 58:51Speaker 2: or it's gonna result in a contested catch that we've
- 58:53Speaker 2: seen sarat convert over and over and over again throughout
- 58:56Speaker 2: the entire season. Question question, go ahead, are my the
- 59:00Speaker 2: status on Miami's corners?
- 59:02Speaker 3: OJ fre went down? Yeah, O. J. Frederic is the one.
- 59:05Speaker 3: They're still as of yesterday, still iffy on, which is
- 59:08Speaker 3: a huge deal to monitor. We're still what five days
- 59:11Speaker 3: away from the game as we're recording this, so there's
- 59:13Speaker 3: no way to know because I don't think they'll know
- 59:15Speaker 3: until the weekend. But it looks like Mesador is good
- 59:18Speaker 3: to go. The other guys who were banged up, it
- 59:19Speaker 3: looks like they're good to go. I think O J. Frederic,
- 59:22Speaker 3: who is a very very important player here when you're
- 59:23Speaker 3: talking about what you're talking about, I think he's still questionable.
- 59:26Speaker 3: I think that's the status.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Because the back shoulder chemistry that Mendos and sarat have. Yeah,
- 59:31Speaker 2: it's not just it's I mean cooper as well. They
- 59:34Speaker 2: can switch their interchangeable as far as like throwing that ball,
- 59:37Speaker 2: And I've asked, well a couple of times, like how
- 59:39Speaker 2: do you defend that if you're a defensive player, And
- 59:40Speaker 2: there's really no answer for it.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Like those guys are playing like ole miss was competitive
- 59:45Speaker 1: and trying to get some of these balls away and
- 59:46Speaker 1: Surat thirteen the strength he has in his hands to
- 59:49Speaker 1: come down with it.
- 59:50Speaker 2: It is just it's impressive to watch. They're winning games
- 59:53Speaker 2: by I think plus thirty one point differential through on
- 59:56Speaker 2: average throughout the year. They're blowing out teams, they're they're
- 59:59Speaker 2: doing things that we haven't seen in this new landscape
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: of cultural playoffs. Like if you look at teams that
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: have had buys in the last two years, there's only
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: been one team that's one that's to buy, and it's
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: been Indiana. So like, regardless of circumstances, history, stats, you
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: use the perfect analogy of their just cruising at this
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: altitude and there's not a whole lot of turbulence. And
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: anytime we have seen turbulence, whether it be early in
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: the Oregon game the first time they played, or against
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Penn State when they had to go back and have
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: a two minute drive to win the game, They've handled it.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: They've handled adversity. And so when I look at these
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: teams and I'm be as cautious as I can not
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: to be like super critical of Miami because I think
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: they're a fantastic team, But it really just comes down
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: to who this game is all going to be who
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: makes the least amount of mistakes. And I said it
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: last year on ESPN. If Carson Beck has two minute
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: drill against Ole miss what's going to happen? And I
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: say bluntly to the camera, almost will go to the
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: NAST Championship. That exact situation took place at the game
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: you guys were at, and Carson Beck Marsha's team down
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: the field and now is in the National Championship. So
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: I have a lot more respect and Carson Becker is
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: a lot more in his bad that I even expected
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: to him to have. Malachai Tony absolutely incredible opens it
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: up where you have to allocate two guys to him
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: while you have a back like Fletcher who's ripping the
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: rock for like six yards per carry. So they have
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: a lot of things going for them. But at the
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: end of the day, dude, it's who makes a mistake,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: who has more emmys, who doesn't handle the clock the best,
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: and that edge is severely on Indiana side. That's why
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: I sit back and I'm like, yeah, eight and a
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: half points is a lot, but I think there were
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: what ten points against Alabama. They've had larger spreads throughout
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: this I think Oregon was four and then they Yeah,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: so they've been They've handled business every single time, every
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: single game throughout this process. When you're like, hey, this
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: is a good, feel good story and now we catch
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: ourselves where they're in the National championship. It's they're undeniable
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: at this point. So where if you go the other way? Unfortunately,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: you have to learn a lesson, and the lesson is
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Big Netti. Big Netti. I feel like I'm watching the
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: national title take place right now. The savviness and moxy
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: of Big Netti. He's he's unfazed, he has every he
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: has everything when it comes. They scored touchdowns, they get
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: an interception, his face is stoic. He's focused on the
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: process over and over and over again. And he's got
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: a quarterback that just is all about the team. He
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: is the George Kittle of quarterbacks in the sense of
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: it's all about the team, Like, don't even focus on me,
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: don't even look at me, It's about the team. Now,
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: you got him being black in the backfield too. That
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: are a one to two punch that always happened to
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: spring a big run and then always fall forward in situations.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be a great matchup. I think
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: it's gonna be like one of the bloodiest first quarters
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: we ever see, and it's who flinches first, and Indiana
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: has refused to flinch all year.
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: I'm waiting on that moment that you just talked about
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: like I'm I'm taking Miami, which means I got to
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: go against Indiana. Even if the game starts out okay,
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Miami gets a three to zero lead, Indiana touchdown seven
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: to three, another field goal from Miami, man got in
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: the red zone, couldn't convert. But that's okay. One point game,
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: early second quarter, back and forth. It's really kind of
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: a struggle. No one has that clear edge. Even if
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: I get that game, you would think, oh, he's comfortable.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: The game's kind of settling in. Miami's getting their game script,
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: it's Indiana. You're just waiting for that three minute period
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: where they score and then someone botches something on the
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: ensuing kickoff and they get it and they kick another
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: field goal, and it's just a ten point swing and
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: a minute and a half and then you go three
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: and out and they got the ball at midfield and
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: then they're driving and you're looking and saying, wait a second,
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: it was just a tie game. They're up ten, about
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: to go up seventeen, and oh wait, they get the
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: ball to start the second half.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and then they double up on you. Now it's seventeen. Terrified, dude.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Their operation on two minute is incredible. I go back
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: to that Oregon Indiana gameene Oregon, there's twenty eight seconds
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: on the clock and they're they're on like the twenty
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: six twenty seven yard line, and they do what most
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: people do in that situation is they run the ball
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: and it's like, hey, if we get a big chunk,
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: we'll start to press it down the field. They have
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: multiple timeouts and they end up getting twelve to fifteen
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: yards heavy around the left side, and then it's just
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: chunk play after chunk play where guys are running outs,
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: they're catching the ball even two feet, they're having NFL catches,
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: and they're just moving the ball five ten yards, fifteen
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: yards to the point where they're on the thirty seven
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: yard line and they kick the three. And it's like,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: that is operation that is coached, that is everything that
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: these players go in. They're like, oh, twenty eight seconds,
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: two timeouts, that's no problem with score. We've operated that,
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: We've operated over and over and over again. What gives
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: me pause about Miami because they have the ability to
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: do all the same things that I just talked about
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: the Indiana. You float back to SMU and Louisville and
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: It's like Indiana doesn't have those blips in the red.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: They have never showed us. They've only in the words
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: you used about Ohio State as so many team have
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: given us question marks after big games. And then at
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: the time you said Ohio has only given us answers.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Now it's Indiana in that position where all year, well, yeah,
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Miami lost to this team Notre Dame. Should they be
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: in Texas like they just beat the number one team
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Texas AINGA. There's a lot of question marks taking place,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: But Indiana has only given you answers every single week
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: and deep into these playoffs in the National Championship.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Here's what I want.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: So what changes?
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: Yeah, here's what I wonder. I think Miami did show
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: you several blips in the Old Miss game. Like I
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: think there were two ten point swings they left on
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: the table in the Old Miss game. Now you can
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: look at that one of two ways. You could say,
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: there are the things that will cost them against Indiana.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: They were in playing sight and you ignored them, or
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: they go on to beat Indiana and you look and say,
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: it turns out their most vulnerable moment was against Ole Miss.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: But Ole Miss just didn't cut the head off the snake,
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: and so they didn't have to learn their lesson with
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: a loss. They learned their lesson, but they still won
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: and they applied it, cleaned everything up, and they played
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: their best game in the biggest against Indiana. Obviously, I'm
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: baking on the second scenario for my pick, but I
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: don't know, and we.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Also haven't when we talked about how that last play
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: for Old Miss Trenidda Chamblis in the back left of
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: the end zone was easily a DPI that a lot
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: of Yeah, it is, but it's a lot of place
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: to where we could be talking about a different team
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: playing aginst Indiana Miss National Championships.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: You'd also argue on Miami side, how you letting Ole
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Miss get in the position to throw a hell Mary
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: like that?
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: I would have loved to have seen an extra play
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: just for the actors. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, Like at the
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: end of the day, in Miami deserved to be in
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: that game. I'm I don't want to take any anything
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: away from Miami. I just think when it comes to
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: complete mistake free football football that you look at, it's
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: like how do we beat him? It's like hope they
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: fuck up and hope is hope gets you killed, and unfortunately,
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: I think Miami gets killed in this one.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: We're intera rupt this episode because we are brought to
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: you by Form Energy. Form Energy delivers best in class
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: taste with natural flavors and zero sugar. Form Energy has

- 1:07:08Speaker 1: the morning, gets a workout in, puts in a full
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: day of work, and still gives it their all when
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: they get home.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: You are a Form Energy guy. Form Energy, we do
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: the work. Where are you going? I don't even know.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I'm trying to break down watch this national title and
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: full with both of you guys. I personally think my
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: gut tells me Indiana is gonna win this game. At
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: eight and a half is too many points. I'm going
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: with Miami plus eight and a half. I agree with you, guys,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: laid out so many different angles perfectly. When I was
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: leaving both of these games, my initial reaction is Indiana
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: is gonna kill this team. But then when you look
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: at when you go back and actually dive into the
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: game of Miami drop four picks, those ten point swings
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: that we were talking about on the plane. And also
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Carson Beck has these moments where fortunately there were incompletions,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: but he has the balls always there to be picked off,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: like if you're all missed that they all miss it,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: nears the defense and plays at that level like Indiana
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: does to where again we're in the conversation of Indiana,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: they never really have a false step, they never make
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: a whole lot of mistakes like Indiana will make you
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: pay for those kind of throws. But it's more of
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: the role the Dies hoping we get an incredible football
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: game and Miami's gonna play their best football because if
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: they do like they have again, they match up well
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: with Indiana. The beef that they have up front on
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: both sides of the ball matches up really well with Indiana.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Their ability for Fletcher to run the football. Carson Beck,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: he's been playing much better to where I'm trying not
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: to where I've always allowed myself to get caught in
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: the SMU and Louisville like I've been a.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Hater of the acc all year long.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Now they have not only did they handle one of
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: the best defenses in the SEC in Texas A and
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: M and handle the best defense in college football at
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: the time with Ohio State, which Indiana beat them with
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: thirteen to ten, and Miami just out physicaled Ohio State
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter and took it away, snatched the
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: soul from Ohio State and then gets yeah and then
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: showed that they Okay, are they going to be able
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: to keep up with the high powered offense of old
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: miss Like how's the defense going to look? And I
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: was getting so pissed off when they kept dropping interceptions
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: because one of them is another one's arguably a pick
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: six to where if they capitalize on those mistakes, like
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: this game is going to be incredible. But Indiana, when
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: I fantasize about their story, I feel like this crew
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: right here, let's say twenty years from now, you look
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: back and realize this could be the only sixteen to
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: zero team that we see in college football because of
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: all the parody that's coming into the sport. So where
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: we look back twenty years from now, it's like, Yo,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: we got to witness that game, like in person, go
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: to their semi final game, and just see that the
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: storylines unfold throughout the year, knowing that Indiana was just
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: a shitty football.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: Team throughout the history of college football. So I fantasize
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: about that.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: I fantasize about Miami, the confidence, the swagger, the attitude
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: that this team always had in the college football landscape
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: as we were growing up. And then you're trying to
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: tell this generation about Miami. And since christ of Ball
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: has gotten there, you've seen these windows of opportunity, whether
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: it's situational football that gets in beat, mental lapses, the
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: penalties that get them beat. In years past, they had
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: a very like when I look at the Ole Miss
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: game that they just had recently, they had some penalties
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: that they that was very uncharacteristic of what this team
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: has done throughout the week the year, to where you
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: sit back and almost go, oh, Miami's kind of being
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Miami right now with some of these penalties, some they
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: didn't even get called for. But again seeing Miami, if
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: they can get over this something and win this national
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: title to where the U is back. I know christ
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Ball hates that, I fantasize about that. I think the
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: points are too long, So I'm going with Miami plus
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: eight and a half, just because I believe like as
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: far as the trenches go, the defense being if they're
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: able to be more opportunistic if they get those opportunities
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: on Mendoza, because again they could stop the run with
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: a lighter box because they have the catch, which means defensively,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: you have those extra guys for the RPO situations. It's
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: just who's gonna win the fifty to fifty balls when
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: you get those back shoulders competing against Sarad and Cooper
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: and those receivers.
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: But I'm taking Miami plus eight and a half. One
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: thing up to when you're talking about Carson Back is
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: like he's I mean, this is a seventh year in Calle.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: This is it, this is this is it, this is
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: it for him right now. And you see his level
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: of maturity taking place throughout the playoffs where he's got
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: younger guys around him. You've got a lot of guys
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: that are, like, you know, barely able to drink, twenty
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: years old, nineteen years old, and he is just being
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: a He's being a fantastic leader for that team because
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: of his age and how long he's been able to
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: see the game and it's like that's a that's a
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: really cool story. But then you look at Indiana. They
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: have forty four players that are twenty four and twenty
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: five years old, Like they're the oldest team in college football.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: And it's that level of maturity because we've all been
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: you see the level at the college age where you
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: get to college, you know someone's got you go on
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: and have like a case race, and you like really
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: are like, you know, I'm out of I'm at I
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: can booze, I can do all this. You're partying, you're
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: kind of like learning about yourself as an individual now
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: you're out of your parents' house. But then you get
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: to like twenty three and you're like, hey, that was
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: a lot of fun, but now I'm gonna slow down
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: because your brain just starts to be like, these really
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: are not the important things. This is where I need
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: to focus.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: Yeah, these guys are reading newspapers in the morning, exactly. Yeah.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: So I look at this team that has forty four
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: players that are twenty four and twenty five years old.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: They're not worried about the frat houses and the house parties,
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: the bars, all those things there. These are grown adults.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: The phrase these are grown ass men.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: The phrase when I was your age has come out
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: of the mouth of several Indiana players.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: Yes, move into the young bucks, talk about how sore
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: they might.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Be, or I remember those days.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Yeah, all those guys say calling them fresh legs. Man,
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: must be nice to be as young as you.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: One day you'll be in this spot.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's like, well, probab won't be another COVID,
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: so we won't hopefully I'll be in the league.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: All right, Yeah, I'm excited for this game. It's again
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: walking out of those both those playoff games. My initial
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: gut in the second game we got to watch was
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Indiana Organ and just seeing the ass beating that Indiana
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: put on Organ, It's like I'm walking out of there thinking, Yo,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Miami doesn't have a chance. But every day that goes by,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: the pendulum swings for me mentally, for whatever reason, it
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: just swings more toward Miami because like, this team's got.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Everything that they need.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: The offensive line, Like I'm standing up there, I don't
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: know how many times I'm Patton JP and clump on
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: the shoulder, like, look at that offensive line. I don't
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: know if it was the all whites making him look
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: so big. But who's what's the name of the left tackle?
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: Markel Bell?
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Markel Bell, for the love of God, And we're up
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: in a suite and I'm like, Yo, these dudes are massive.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: I think Bell's the biggest player in the sport. He's
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: the biggest human I've seen in the sport in several years.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: It is nuts.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: And then the Cats that got across the line of
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: scrimmage on defense with Mesador and Bain, it's they They
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: have it all there and I love you. You can
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: just feel the identity that they have taken with Crystal Ball.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: And I love seeing Crystal Ball getting in the post
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: game pressers or the media he did the next day
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: where he's going back and forth with saving He's going
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: back and forth with Scott van Pelt after the.
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: Game like it. It makes me just just root for it. Yeah.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: I had that same exact feeling about Oregon and Indiana
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: and that was, yeah, we got But if I swing
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: the other way.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Every Indiana fan you meet when we were out there
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: in Atlanta, incredible, man.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: They just like pat you on the head. They smile
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: and they say it's okay, you picked against us. A
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: few times this year. It's okay, man, we get it.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: We will do not even when we get it, like
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: I didn't believe.
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: It, smiling, Yeah, we love you anyway.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: At what point does that fan base, because they are
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: obviously you've brought it up, how they've been as long
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: as football has been going on in Indiana, Hoosiers have
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: had a football team, they've been bad up until these
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: last two years. At what point does that fan base
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: flip to we're so excited to be here too, we
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: expect this. I don't know, bro, I was than we
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: think we know what a little bit of success does
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: some people's heads.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: It's there, it's already from this point forward. I think
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: they're there.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: So let's say class this year, because you have to
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: believe at this point Indian is gonna be in the
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: playoffs next year.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: I would assume yeah, yeah, right.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: And let's say they go to the first round. They
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: might beat up a muffin, a G five muffin, and
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: then they go and a real team and they lose.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Are Indiana fans like this fucking signetty guy?
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: I don't especially if they win Monday Night by three,
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: But if they win Monday Night, No, if you win
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: a title your set, they can miss the playoffs the
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: next year, and you say, hey, man, everybody has to
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: hit the reset button. Why should we be any different?
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: I just wonder like, and I could say the same
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: thing about Mario when you get this close, because it's
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: not in the BCS anymore, where it's just two teams
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: finish their season. Voila, you're in the game, right. Miami
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: had to win three to even get in this game.
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: Indiana had to win two and really three because they
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: had to beat Ohio State two. So they both had
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: to go through it to get in this game. And
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: you get so close and you you lurch for the belt,
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: but you just miss it off your fingertips. You fall
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: to the mat. That feeling. In the expanded playoff era,
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: it must make you feel like it's so borderline impossible
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: to get all the way back there again. Think about
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: how many things have to go right for us to
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: get all the way back there again.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: It's tough, big climb. Yeah, everything you just said to
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: me made me think, Man, I wish you would get
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: in the NFL football a little bit, because that's the playoffs,
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: but the wildcard division A championship, and then you go
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: Super Bowl, and it's like you get right there and
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: you never It's like you never go back. And I
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: feel like you would enjoy the storylines taking place in
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: the NFL.
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: Can I tell you a secret?
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: Go ahead?
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: None of you are going to believe this. I've watched
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: every playoff game.
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: No you haven't. Who do you like right now?
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: Let me fletch your theory. Caleb Williams, pretty good player,
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: pretty good player, pretty good player?
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: Right, elite?
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: I think that chapter of his book is yet to
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: be written. Elite moments the other day, Oh yeah, talk
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: about changing the fate of an entire city on that
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: fourth down throw, fourth and eight.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: That throw, it's not just in the elite category.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: I feel like it's making its own category because that's
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: how unbelievable it was.
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: That throw, to me was the best through I've ever seen.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: I noticed that Josh was watching some NFL football because
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: he had a tweet, and then at half time, I
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: should Josha text, I'm like splattering in Chicago.
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: Oh my god. That then would you end up saying
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: like I need one more touch?
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: First off? I told you because it was twenty one
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: three and I said, you can't do that yet. You
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: can't do it because my biggest fear is premature splattering.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: A lot of people that fear is about other premature things.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: My fear is premature splattering because if you tweet out
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: it's a splattering in blank and then that team comes
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: back to win, that's the ultimate freezing cold take. You
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: will never live that down. I've never suffered a premature splattering.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: You won and never suffered.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: Never slatter, never close, never even close. So I've waited
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: until the game's for sure over to say it's a splattering,
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: but it's an inexact science. And at twenty one to three,
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: you texted me privately. I didn't reveal this. You just
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: revealed this. You said it's a splattering in Chicago, and
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: I said, can't do it yet. Maybe one more touchdown
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: and we can do it. We can't do it yet,
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: and sure enough Chicago comes all the way back to win.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: I screened shat the text, but I marked your name out.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: You and I tweeted it out and I said, I hope,
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: I hope it never comes out. Who sent this to me?
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: It just came out. I'm still thought.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I still wish we could go back and he could
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: tweet that out just because the whole just stay in
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: college football all everything.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: That would would just be so funny. But yeah, you
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: would love You're watching it. You're enjoying it right now
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: a little bit, aren't you.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: Where's John Harbaugh going?
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Not to the Titans as much as Cavas wanted me
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: to say yesterday, Wow, do we have any inkling of
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: who the Titans might beginning? I I have not my
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: ear to the ground at all at all.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Top three.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: That's clumb right there.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: It's a nice place to live.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: It's a great place, nice neighborhood source.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I am.
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: I am hoping it's Arthur Smith. I am hoping it's Arthur.
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: Smith, non selfishly, no selfish tide of that whatsoever. Non selfish, No, absolutely, yeah,
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: just for the betterment of the franchise. I want the
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: Titans to be great. I think Arthur Smith is the
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: man to make them great. And then mustache he gets it.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Good. So you're you're I'm going, Miami.
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: I thought you were going to take a total on
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: the national title game.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: That's what I thought you thinking about it, which would
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: be just like play up both things. I'm taking the over,
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: give me the over. It's a great game. And honestly,
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: good luck to you. Thank you. It'll be fun to
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: watch forty seven and a half. That's over. That's an
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: over game, could be, could be under. Indiana gets up big,
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: Indiana gets up, Miami starts to press, and then they
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: either come back or Indiana or Indiana takes advantage and
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: picks more points. But there it'll be. Do you think
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: there's going to be a Indiana is going to like candle? Well,
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: the game is candle. This game is eight and a
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: half Indian in half. Like, I'm taking Indiana eight and
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: a half. I believe we have a potential splattery on
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: our hand. Where we sit back in the like going
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: into the fourth quarter, going, bro, they really did it
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: with this level of talent, Like this might be the
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: best coaching we've ever seen in our entire lives.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: How do you are ten minutes to go in the
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: fourth quarter? What's the commentary in the game. Is it
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: a one possession game? Is it still nip and tuck
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: or our Fowler in herb Street already eulogizing Miami and
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: they're already crystallizing what the story of Indiana is. And
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: everyone's already worried on Miami. Message boards about which quarterback
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: we're gonna get in the portal, where is the mind
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: ten minutes to go in to get I see.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: This game where they're sitting there and Fowler's going on
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: and on about Indiana and how great of a season
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: they have and they've really gotten over the hurdle and
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: look how amazing this is. And there's gonna be a
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: there's a moment where it's sparks in Kirkirk Streets head
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: where it's like we've been giving a lot of flowers Indiana.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: He's gonna switch it. It's like Indian has been amazed,
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: but we also have to give a lot of credit
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: Tomorrow Chris Paul and these Miami Hurricanes people want to
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: talk about the the you being back, the U is back.
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: Regardless of the circumstances of what's happening in this game
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: right now, they have a big future ahead of them.
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: That is kind of what in my head is going
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: to take place.
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: Sounds like either way, it's a double digit lead for
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: Indiana at that point, yees, so it's out of reach.
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: Like games, games, you just.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: You just wait. Foul will be sitting there and they'll
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: be back and forth about how great Indiana is, but
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: Kirk shouldn't be the one to flip the script on
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: let's also talk about how great Miami is. That's what's
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: going to take place in this game.
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: It's pretty anti climactic what it is. I guess it's
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: right in line with what Indiana it's to me, this
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: is a bow on a great college football season. Yeah,
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: but don't you want to see something down on the wire,
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: Just no doubt.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: I think we all would. I mean not based on
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: the show, I don't. But I think if Indiana goes
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: and they do what they've done this entire playoffs to
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: everybody they played against, it's a perfect boat to be.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: Like this logo has never sniffed this, Like this has
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: been one of the coolest seasons we've ever watched we've
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: been a part of. I don't know if it's because
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: we've dove it into it more than ever as individuals
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: or the show, or it's actually that good football. It's
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: that good and it's like if Indiana takes it here,
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: and you can say a lot about Miami as well,
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: like the you being back you know, the nineties or
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: nice days whenever that you was, It's like that's that'll
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: be exciting as well. But seeing that logo a Hoister
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: Trophy after a dominant win as like this might have
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: been the best year of college football ever. That's what's exciting.
- 1:22:13Speaker 3: Hey, can I tell you something. I think it was
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: the best year either way?
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: Really, that's your for us.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: Well, if if it's Vince flipped on the other side
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: that he's talking about it's a close game, we could
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: have ended on that, like you're saying it's going to
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: be a big win for Indiana and it's going to
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: put a bow on the greatest or the best college
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: football we've seen. And he's like, oh, I think it's
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: the best college football we've seen either way. And I'm like, well,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: the other side of it is just a barn burner
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: of a game that we all love and we're like, damn,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: what a year.
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: Of college football. Either way, we're all winning. Either way,
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: we've won, But now I have to find out who
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: wins because the only thing that matters is record exactly exactly.
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: And again before the show, Clump was saying that we
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: have a verbal commitment for the show next year. I
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: didn't know if we were allowed to announce that, but hey.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: No, no, I think we applaud it over on the
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: other side. But now you we got to remember we're
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: in the world of college football. Verbal commitments, contract doesn't sign.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: We can't wait till April to reach back.
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: Out the pay Yeah, hey, let me ask you. Did
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: something happen recently to you? What's the deal with the
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: verbal commit I mean you really forcefully said that did
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: something happen?
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: Okay, just learning about what goes on, even the contract
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: that guests could be signed and you could pull with.
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: Demm Williams, I may go do a show with will Stein.
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: You should and you should zoom me in or call
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: me and FaceTime me in.
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: At some point, you guys buried the hatchet though I
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: saw you talking. I saw you.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: We had a good little conversation with had a good
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: little conversation. We have a common friend that we were
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: both close with that we were kind of also growing
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: our friendship over. Want to come to a Kentucky game?
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: Nobody just to come out to Kentucky for the spring tour.
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: No. I'll say this about Nebraska because it always comes
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: back to Nebraska on the show over the last three years.
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: This is the most excited I've been to watch Nebraska.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: This next season. Oh yeah, this quarterback, this unlv CA,
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: I can't even pronounce his name. We've done it six
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: times yesterday, and I fucking love him, met him, saw
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: one clip.
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: I'm obsessed with magic in his legs. Yeah, live arm.
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: That was the scouting report, thirty six hundred yards last year.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: And the kid fucking he's got the juice. Yeah, he's
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: got the jew. Nebraska is in a great spot, some
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: say the best spot in recent years.
- 1:24:39Speaker 4: Fitting end to the show, Josh Pate completely punted on saying,
- 1:24:43Speaker 4: if he's verbally committing to coming back next year.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: Isn't that fitting.
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: It's a fickle game. It's a fickle game out there.
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: Reportedly I am, I'm reportedly verbally committed. Isn't that accurate?
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: Clump's reporting it as Nako's put it out there yet
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: he has not put it out there yet.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: I don't have a gras think yet making graphic Coop.
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: Can't go back on that.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: Okay, thank you, History.
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: Graphic. I feel good about it. Yeah, I feel good
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: about it.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Feel good. Our boys, bake hugs, tiny kisses. Thank you
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: for an amazing you know, it's une a plus everybody here,
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: all the boys beaming in the back for reducing the show.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: It's been an amazing year. Thank you, Big hugs, tiny kisses.
