Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / AEW Dynamite 2/18/26 Review | Swerve VICIOUS HEEL ATTACK On Kenny Omega!
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: AW is coming off Grand Slam Australia. This past weekend.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We had a bunch of big matches on Saturday, no
- 0:07Speaker 1: title changes. We actually two title changes last week on Dynamite,
- 0:11Speaker 1: But tonight we had a first time ever made event,
- 0:13Speaker 1: big big main event. Tonight, Kenny Omega one on one
- 0:16Speaker 1: would Swerve Strickland. Nothing on the line, although you have
- 0:19Speaker 1: two men who have staked their claim to wanting to
- 0:22Speaker 1: be the AW World Champion, and this right here is
- 0:25Speaker 1: what is carrying these shows story wise. Right now, it
- 0:28Speaker 1: is the world title scene in AW because all of
- 0:33Speaker 1: these different challengers have been lined up for MJF and
- 0:36Speaker 1: you could see other ones also kind of oft in
- 0:39Speaker 1: the distance, will Ospray and people like the Darby Allen. Eventually,
- 0:42Speaker 1: I'm sure they'll circle back to him. But Kenny and
- 0:45Speaker 1: Swerve have been very very clear in their intentions that
- 0:49Speaker 1: they want to be the champion again. So tonight they
- 0:51Speaker 1: went one on one and what we got here in
- 0:53Speaker 1: this match is actually something that I was not expecting,
- 0:56Speaker 1: but it is something that I am very happy that
- 0:58Speaker 1: we got because Swerve is the best Swerve and that
- 1:03Speaker 1: is what we had at the end of Dynamite tonight.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Whether or not it ends up being a full on
- 1:08Speaker 1: heel turn or not, I guess we'll have to wait
- 1:09Speaker 1: and see, but it sure felt like it because everybody
- 1:12Speaker 1: loves Kenny Omega and those fans were boo in the
- 1:15Speaker 1: hell at a Swerve Strickland when this show was over.
- 1:18Speaker 1: These two guys went out there one week after Tamaso
- 1:21Speaker 1: Champa and Kyle Fletcher had the best television match of
- 1:25Speaker 1: the year, and they said, hold my beer, and they
- 1:28Speaker 1: went out and they topped it, and they had so
- 1:31Speaker 1: far the best television match of the year, an excellent
- 1:34Speaker 1: main event with a major angle to close the show.
- 1:37Speaker 1: So not just a great match, right, We've got plenty
- 1:39Speaker 1: of great matches on Dynamite any given week, but we
- 1:42Speaker 1: actually had a major angle here to close out the
- 1:45Speaker 1: show with Swerve Strickland doing whatever it takes to beat
- 1:50Speaker 1: Kenny Omega. We got a decisive winner in this match.
- 1:53Speaker 1: It wasn't sure how they were going to handle this.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We've heard rumors about Kenny Omega potentially not being available
- 1:59Speaker 1: for Revolution this year. He's going to be over in Japan.
- 2:02Speaker 1: We don't know if they're going to try to work
- 2:04Speaker 1: it out where maybe he can be back in time
- 2:06Speaker 1: for Revolution. He may not be. In fact, it looks
- 2:09Speaker 1: like he probably won't be based on what they did
- 2:11Speaker 1: tonight because they wrote him off the show. But this
- 2:15Speaker 1: was a match that had world title implications because you
- 2:18Speaker 1: would think whoever came out of this match would very
- 2:21Speaker 1: likely be the number one contender after Hangman gets his
- 2:25Speaker 1: shot at Revolution, although they never actually said that. But
- 2:28Speaker 1: Swerve beats Kenny Omega and then he lays a beating
- 2:32Speaker 1: on this man and actually puts him through the announced
- 2:35Speaker 1: desk with a vertebreaker. He killed Kenny at the end
- 2:40Speaker 1: of Dynamite tonight, and so we have He'll Swerve back
- 2:44Speaker 1: and as I look ahead now at where we're going
- 2:46Speaker 1: with this, because we also tonight on the show had
- 2:48Speaker 1: a face off between champion and challenger MJF and Hangman
- 2:51Speaker 1: page face to face in the ring, laying it down
- 2:56Speaker 1: as far as Revolution is concerned, teasing a special stipy
- 3:00Speaker 1: for the match that will likely end up being Texas
- 3:03Speaker 1: Death because it's Hangman. But a stipulation was also added
- 3:08Speaker 1: to the match which we have not seen here in
- 3:11Speaker 1: aw in a very long time, and it is a
- 3:13Speaker 1: stipulation that was utilized by one Cody Rhoads many years
- 3:17Speaker 1: ago in the infancy of AAW and it did not
- 3:20Speaker 1: work out very well for Cody Roads, and Cody Roads
- 3:24Speaker 1: was rendered unable to ever challenge for the AW World
- 3:27Speaker 1: title ever again, something that Cody himself, I believe, has
- 3:31Speaker 1: said was a mistake because it boxed them into a
- 3:34Speaker 1: corner with one of their biggest stars right in the
- 3:37Speaker 1: infancy of the company, Like why would you do that?
- 3:40Speaker 1: And of course it's pro wrestling, so you could always
- 3:43Speaker 1: just go back on your word or figure out a
- 3:45Speaker 1: way around it if you really want to. But they
- 3:48Speaker 1: went back to that well tonight with Hangman Page, who said, look,
- 3:53Speaker 1: I'm willing to put it all on the line against you,
- 3:57Speaker 1: so if I can't beat you, then I can never
- 3:59Speaker 1: again challenge for the AW World Championship. He didn't say,
- 4:02Speaker 1: so long as you're the champion, he said, ever again.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And I don't know why they would do this again
- 4:08Speaker 1: to themselves. I don't know why they would box themselves
- 4:11Speaker 1: into a corner. Of course, the biggest difference now is that,
- 4:14Speaker 1: unlike when Cody Rhoads was there in twenty nineteen, they
- 4:17Speaker 1: have a hell of a lot more belts on this roster,
- 4:20Speaker 1: so It's not like Hangman. He's got no shortage of
- 4:22Speaker 1: championships that he could challenge for if he can't go
- 4:25Speaker 1: after the world title. So that was also unexpected, not
- 4:28Speaker 1: something I really am a big fan of. Unlike that
- 4:31Speaker 1: main event tonight, which I was a huge fan of.
- 4:34Speaker 1: We also had a TBS title fatal four way match,
- 4:38Speaker 1: which I enjoyed. I thought it was actually a very
- 4:41Speaker 1: fun match. Willow Nightingale still the TBS champion, although you know,
- 4:47Speaker 1: watching the magic did feel to me like they were
- 4:49Speaker 1: potentially setting up Megan Bain for a singles opportunity, which
- 4:53Speaker 1: I'm still holding out hope is the case. But there
- 4:56Speaker 1: were also some faces missing on this show. You know,
- 4:58Speaker 1: we had Lena CROs the Australian independent star making her
- 5:03Speaker 1: debut official debut at Grand Slam this weekend, actually coming
- 5:08Speaker 1: to the aid of Megan Bain and Penelope Ford. She
- 5:13Speaker 1: was nowhere to be founding to think she was mentioned,
- 5:15Speaker 1: she was nowhere to be found on the show tonight.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I mentioned Tomaso Champa, right, who was TNT champion last
- 5:21Speaker 1: week at that great match lost not even mentioned on
- 5:25Speaker 1: the show this week, nowhere to be found. So I
- 5:28Speaker 1: don't know if that means he's going to be relegated
- 5:30Speaker 1: to Collision from here on out or not. I was
- 5:33Speaker 1: hoping we would see some sort of follow up with
- 5:36Speaker 1: him on the show tonight, and unfortunately we did not
- 5:38Speaker 1: have that. But we also know who John Moxley is
- 5:42Speaker 1: putting his Continental title on the line against that Revolution,
- 5:46Speaker 1: and if you saw Grand Slam this past weekend, it
- 5:48Speaker 1: really shouldn't be all that big of a surprise. It
- 5:51Speaker 1: will beat Kenoski Takeshta, only this time there will be
- 5:54Speaker 1: no time limit for their match. And after mentioning that
- 5:58Speaker 1: they've done little if anything since World's End to really
- 6:02Speaker 1: further the story between Takeshta and Okada, we did have
- 6:06Speaker 1: a little something tonight. Takesha was not on the show tonight.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Okada was very briefly like blinking, you missed it, but
- 6:14Speaker 1: you can kind of see where things are headed. It's
- 6:17Speaker 1: just not going to happen at Revolution with Takeshta and Okada,
- 6:21Speaker 1: and I have a feeling we're gonna have to wait
- 6:23Speaker 1: quite some time to see that rematch between those two.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But I enjoyed the show a lot. I felt like
- 6:32Speaker 1: in the second hour. Second hour was a little bit weak.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I mean Obviously the main event was the best part
- 6:37Speaker 1: of the entire show, but there was some stuff in
- 6:40Speaker 1: the second hour that kind of slowed it down a
- 6:41Speaker 1: little bit. They're trying to feature as many people as
- 6:45Speaker 1: they can. Again, there's so many people on this roster.
- 6:47Speaker 1: There's no way that you're going to be able to
- 6:48Speaker 1: feature all the people that you would like for them too,
- 6:52Speaker 1: or everybody frankly that they need to and should be featuring,
- 6:55Speaker 1: like Champa coming off that big loss last week. But
- 6:59Speaker 1: we had like the debut of the Brawling Birds tonight,
- 7:01Speaker 1: which is the new team of Jamie Hayter and Alex
- 7:03Speaker 1: Windsor because they're trying to you know, increase the level
- 7:07Speaker 1: of competition in the women's tag team division. Kevin Knight,
- 7:11Speaker 1: all right, look at someone like the Jet Kevin Knight,
- 7:14Speaker 1: young star, super talented, somebody that has been rubbing shoulders
- 7:18Speaker 1: with some of the bigger names in recent weeks. Right,
- 7:21Speaker 1: he wrestled Swerve even for example, not that long ago,
- 7:25Speaker 1: and he had a great showing in the Continental Classic.
- 7:27Speaker 1: You know, the key with really trying to build up
- 7:29Speaker 1: somebody like that is getting him airtime on the main show. Right.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Collision is one thing Dynamite is their a show. Dynamite
- 7:38Speaker 1: is the most viewed show, and so you want to
- 7:41Speaker 1: try to get him as much screen time on that
- 7:43Speaker 1: show as possible. So they threw a match out there
- 7:46Speaker 1: tonight between him and the Beast Mortos. Right, it's one
- 7:49Speaker 1: of those random matches. But you know, you look at
- 7:51Speaker 1: that it's important to get people like him on TV
- 7:54Speaker 1: as much as possible. But it's just it's a struggle
- 7:57Speaker 1: because again, there's only so much airtime here on this
- 8:00Speaker 1: shown by no means of my sitting here advocating for
- 8:03Speaker 1: you know, Dynamite to go three hours. But you just
- 8:06Speaker 1: have to do a good job of rotating people in
- 8:09Speaker 1: and out and not keeping them off the show for
- 8:11Speaker 1: too long. So, you know, we saw some some different
- 8:14Speaker 1: faces on the show tonight. I thought that the it
- 8:17Speaker 1: was a smaller venue. It kind of reminded me. I
- 8:20Speaker 1: think somebody said this in the chat. It kind of
- 8:22Speaker 1: had a like a Hammerstein vibe to me. I think
- 8:25Speaker 1: they were in Sacramento tonight, so it was a small venue.
- 8:28Speaker 1: But when like John Moxley came into the beginning of
- 8:31Speaker 1: the show and he walks in through the back of
- 8:33Speaker 1: the crowd, it looked pretty packed in there, so I
- 8:35Speaker 1: just thought, as smaller venues go visually on TV, I
- 8:40Speaker 1: thought it looked good. But when the show was over
- 8:43Speaker 1: the main event, the women's four way match, I thought,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you know, the segment with MJF and Hangman, you know,
- 8:50Speaker 1: was solid for what it needed to be. As far
- 8:53Speaker 1: as their main event of Revolution, I enjoyed the show.
- 8:57Speaker 1: It feels like Dynamite over the last few weeks especially,
- 9:01Speaker 1: has gotten into a rhythm here that I felt like
- 9:05Speaker 1: I wasn't feeling before that. But the last few weeks
- 9:10Speaker 1: things have definitely been in improvement and it helps over
- 9:13Speaker 1: the last two weeks to have the two best TV
- 9:16Speaker 1: matches of the year. And we will talk about that
- 9:19Speaker 1: main event. We will talk about everything on this show,
- 9:21Speaker 1: because that's what we do. I'm like Triple h That's
- 9:26Speaker 1: what we do. It's what we do. We talk about Dynamite.
- 9:30Speaker 1: This is your aw Dynamite review. It is Wednesday, February eighteenth,
- 9:33Speaker 1: twenty twenty six. I am the Solemn Monster. Thank you
- 9:37Speaker 1: guys for hanging out with me here on a Wednesday
- 9:41Speaker 1: night and like and subscribe. Super chats are open so
- 9:47Speaker 1: if you would like to support the channel, if you
- 9:49Speaker 1: have a question or a comment about tonight's show, send
- 9:52Speaker 1: it on in and I will read them a little
- 9:54Speaker 1: bit later on here in the stream. And for those
- 9:57Speaker 1: of you who may have missed it, yesterday, episode so
- 10:00Speaker 1: number two of the Uncrowned Wrestling Show from Yahoo Sports
- 10:05Speaker 1: over on the Ariel Helwani Show channel went up. It
- 10:09Speaker 1: went live yesterday evening, and I appreciate the feedback I've
- 10:14Speaker 1: gotten so far. We actually worked in some listener Q
- 10:17Speaker 1: and A at the end of the episode as well,
- 10:19Speaker 1: which I'll try to do every week if I can.
- 10:23Speaker 1: But go check it out. Covered a lot of ground
- 10:24Speaker 1: on that show, including some topics some TNA in New
- 10:27Speaker 1: Japan that I did not have a chance to talk
- 10:30Speaker 1: about on the sound off on Sunday. So you get
- 10:32Speaker 1: a little bit of variety there, and keep supporting, keep supporting,
- 10:37Speaker 1: and keep sending in that feedback. It means a lot.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I appreciate that. Now let's go ahead and spin the wheel.
- 10:42Speaker 1: This has become a customary here so we can find
- 10:45Speaker 1: out how many likes we need here on the stream.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Tonight I saw we had like I don't know what
- 10:50Speaker 1: we had, one twenty or one thirty before I even
- 10:52Speaker 1: went live. I feel like it's going to be a
- 10:55Speaker 1: good night. As far as the wheel, I got a
- 10:58Speaker 1: good feeling about it. Find out four thirty two, which
- 11:09Speaker 1: I believe is doable. So four hundred and thirty two likes,
- 11:12Speaker 1: that is the goal for tonight. So you see there
- 11:17Speaker 1: in that super Chat Super Super Saiyan John Cena, I
- 11:20Speaker 1: want you all to kind of hulk up like John
- 11:22Speaker 1: Cena there and get me to four hundred and thirty
- 11:24Speaker 1: two likes. That's your homework assignment. That dynamite came on
- 11:29Speaker 1: the air tonight with ex Caliber, Tony Shavanni and Brian Danielson,
- 11:33Speaker 1: And I wonder if Danielson is working these shows because
- 11:35Speaker 1: they're out on the West Coast, because that's where I
- 11:38Speaker 1: believe he dwells, because he has talked about, Yeah, the
- 11:43Speaker 1: travel has really wreaked havoc on his neck. But they're
- 11:46Speaker 1: in California. I think they're in California last week. I
- 11:48Speaker 1: think they're in California for the next few weeks. They're
- 11:51Speaker 1: in California for Revolution. So I wonder if we'll be
- 11:54Speaker 1: seeing him more often on TV. And we had comments backstage,
- 11:59Speaker 1: rapid fire comments from various competitors here on the show tonight,
- 12:04Speaker 1: including Mina Shirakawa. I'll give you one guess what happened
- 12:08Speaker 1: to poor Mina here on this show? What do you
- 12:11Speaker 1: think happened to Mina? What do you think Mina's one
- 12:13Speaker 1: job was? Key were job here on the show? It
- 12:18Speaker 1: was always good to see Mina. She was one of
- 12:20Speaker 1: the four participants in the TBS title fatal four way.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Willow Nightingale talked about not having to be pinned to
- 12:27Speaker 1: lose her championship tonight, but she realizes that comes with
- 12:29Speaker 1: the territory. And of course we cut the swerve of
- 12:34Speaker 1: Strickland and Kenny Omega for some comments on their main event.
- 12:37Speaker 1: So after that we went to Renee who was in
- 12:40Speaker 1: the back with Orange Cassidy. This was from earlier today,
- 12:43Speaker 1: and she asked about Roderick Stromp walking out on him
- 12:46Speaker 1: in their tag team match last week. He said, thankfully,
- 12:50Speaker 1: the Conglomeration has a lot of members. Oh yes, but
- 12:53Speaker 1: not as many as the don Kallis family. But the
- 12:55Speaker 1: Conglomeration has a lot of members, and so tonight he's
- 12:59Speaker 1: going to be teamy with this man and in walks Tomohiro,
- 13:03Speaker 1: is she okay? They dust him off every now and
- 13:07Speaker 1: then he pops up on Dynamite, so he was going
- 13:10Speaker 1: to be tagging with him against Gabe Kid and Clark Conners.
- 13:12Speaker 1: That's later. First up, though, he had John Moxley against
- 13:16Speaker 1: Mark Davis Continental Title eliminator match. Moxley's been having these
- 13:20Speaker 1: weekly on TV. I have to say, I am glad
- 13:25Speaker 1: that they are using Mark Davis on television, even though
- 13:27Speaker 1: his tag team partner got hurt and it would be
- 13:30Speaker 1: very easy for them to just kind of relegate him
- 13:32Speaker 1: to the back burner right now. I he never wins, Okay,
- 13:37Speaker 1: he never wins, but he's a fun brawler and I've
- 13:42Speaker 1: actually taken to enjoying his matches even though he never wins.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So when I saw that it was Davison and Moxley,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I already knew how this was going
- 13:52Speaker 1: to go, but I said, okay, this could be This
- 13:54Speaker 1: could be an interesting clash year between these two. So
- 13:58Speaker 1: Moxley escaped to the floor early. David still followed and
- 14:00Speaker 1: he lined him up right against the post. He was
- 14:02Speaker 1: gonna give him a punch, and Moxley ducked, and Davis
- 14:08Speaker 1: full on punches the post and the sound that this
- 14:12Speaker 1: made and immediately you know, he grabs his hand. Davis,
- 14:17Speaker 1: he busted his hand open. On that shot, you can
- 14:20Speaker 1: see the blood comingly in between his fingers. So of
- 14:23Speaker 1: course for Boxley it's like, you know, chum in the
- 14:26Speaker 1: water here. Oh fuck, I see blood and it's not mine. Wow,
- 14:31Speaker 1: I got some catching up to do. So of course
- 14:33Speaker 1: he goes right over to the hand and he starts,
- 14:36Speaker 1: you know, he's separating the fingers and he's biting the
- 14:38Speaker 1: bloody fingers because he's a sick fuck. Then he placed
- 14:42Speaker 1: the hand on the steel steps that he stomped on it.
- 14:45Speaker 1: They had a close up at one point of Davis's
- 14:48Speaker 1: hand and his finger just looked all gnarly to me.
- 14:53Speaker 1: So it's entirely possible that he really did break his
- 14:57Speaker 1: hand or some fingers on his hand, which is the
- 15:01Speaker 1: last thing that he needs is another injury. He's already
- 15:03Speaker 1: had a couple in the past. So they went to
- 15:07Speaker 1: a break. When they came back, Moxley was sitting in
- 15:09Speaker 1: a chair outside in the corner near the barricade. Davis
- 15:14Speaker 1: charged in at him and mostly whiffed on what would
- 15:18Speaker 1: have been a hip attack. So he's going back. Moxley
- 15:21Speaker 1: is after the bloody fingers and the bloody knuckles. They
- 15:24Speaker 1: get back in the ring, he hits them with a superplex.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Davis came back. He attempted to larry it and Moxley
- 15:30Speaker 1: ducked it and hit a cutter. Tried for a sleeper
- 15:34Speaker 1: that didn't work out too well. A little bit later on,
- 15:36Speaker 1: Davis sea turned a gut wrench into a pile driver
- 15:40Speaker 1: for a near fall. So now they're trading shots. Moxley
- 15:43Speaker 1: was able to take him down. He got the bulldog
- 15:45Speaker 1: choke applied, and not long after that he got the
- 15:48Speaker 1: tap out. Surprise, surprise, John Moxley beats Mark Davis. I
- 15:54Speaker 1: mean you could have predicted that ten times out of
- 15:57Speaker 1: ten that result will be the same. So we know
- 16:00Speaker 1: that the Callous Family and the death Rids have been
- 16:04Speaker 1: squabbling now for many, many weeks. This was an extension
- 16:07Speaker 1: of that because Mark Davis is a member of the
- 16:10Speaker 1: don Kallis family. But if you saw Grand Slam on Saturday,
- 16:13Speaker 1: it was Moxley and Takesha. They went to a twenty
- 16:15Speaker 1: minute draw, so there was no winner in their Continental
- 16:18Speaker 1: title match. And if you joined me in the review,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I said, well, this whole time, I was just assuming
- 16:27Speaker 1: because they've made us wait this long that the match
- 16:30Speaker 1: for Revolution would be Okada and Takeshta. Revolution is typically
- 16:34Speaker 1: one of their top three biggest shows of the year.
- 16:38Speaker 1: A few years ago, it was probably their top show
- 16:40Speaker 1: of the year if you want to count the Sting retirement.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So it's a big show. It's the perfect time to
- 16:45Speaker 1: run this back right a few months after the Continental Classic,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and they've done nothing since the Continental Classic to further
- 16:52Speaker 1: things along with Takeshta and Okada. They've done nothing, which
- 16:56Speaker 1: was very strange. And then I saw what they did
- 16:59Speaker 1: on Saturday and I said, Okay, we're obviously going to
- 17:01Speaker 1: get a rematch, and it feels to me like that
- 17:04Speaker 1: is what the rematch is going to be, which makes
- 17:07Speaker 1: me think that he takes the Continental title from Moxley,
- 17:12Speaker 1: which I would like to see. And now he's got
- 17:15Speaker 1: a belt. Ohcott has got a belt. He was making
- 17:18Speaker 1: fun of him tonight. Oh he's not here and I
- 17:21Speaker 1: have a belt and he doesn't. So they're both gonna
- 17:23Speaker 1: have belts and eventually have a unification match. But then
- 17:26Speaker 1: when does that unification match happen? And I could see
- 17:29Speaker 1: Tony wanting to hold off on that until they get
- 17:31Speaker 1: to Wembley but that's in August. We are in February.
- 17:35Speaker 1: That's a long gap. I would rather not wait that
- 17:38Speaker 1: long to get this match. But it kind of feels
- 17:41Speaker 1: to me like he may look at that as one
- 17:44Speaker 1: of the marquee matches on that car and it would be.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It would be one of the marquee matches on that show.
- 17:49Speaker 1: But man, is that's a long time to wait. You
- 17:52Speaker 1: could have Takeshta defend against a few different challengers to
- 17:56Speaker 1: kill time between now and then, but that is a
- 17:59Speaker 1: long gap there. We have to wait to get that match.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Later in the show, John Moxley, he was backstage with
- 18:05Speaker 1: the Death Riders and he said that I'm not done
- 18:08Speaker 1: with Takeshta. He said, Revolution, Hollywood, no time limits one
- 18:15Speaker 1: way or the other. There must be a winner as
- 18:17Speaker 1: long as it takes. And then it was made official.
- 18:20Speaker 1: We got the graphic and everything. That match will happen.
- 18:23Speaker 1: No time limit for the title of Revolution. Now, after this,
- 18:28Speaker 1: we had FTR wheeling Stokely Hathaway still in the wheelchair
- 18:33Speaker 1: out to the ring. An ex Caliber is talking about, Oh,
- 18:37Speaker 1: this is not on the format, this is not on
- 18:38Speaker 1: the format. I don't know what's going on here. Dax
- 18:43Speaker 1: Harwood was barely able to speak before a chance of
- 18:47Speaker 1: shut the fuck up rained down upon him. They brought
- 18:51Speaker 1: up how the Young Bucks called themselves the best team
- 18:53Speaker 1: in the world ten years ago, but cut to today
- 18:56Speaker 1: and they're sitting comfortably in second place. Said that truth
- 19:01Speaker 1: be told, it pisses him off that last week on Dynamite,
- 19:03Speaker 1: the Young Bucks shook hands with the Rascals. They shook
- 19:06Speaker 1: hands with Private Party, which is interesting because the Bucks
- 19:10Speaker 1: tried to run Private Party out of the company about
- 19:12Speaker 1: a year and a half ago, but now all of
- 19:14Speaker 1: a sudden, they're good. Said that fakeness is what he
- 19:18Speaker 1: hates about aw that fakeness is what he hates about
- 19:22Speaker 1: pro wrestling. It's true, pro wrestling is fake. No lives detected.
- 19:31Speaker 1: So at the top of ftr's hate list is Matt
- 19:33Speaker 1: and Nick Jackson. Right underneath them are their parents, followed
- 19:38Speaker 1: by their delinquent kids running around backstage. So as he's speaking,
- 19:43Speaker 1: the Bucks slip into the ring behind him, take out FTR.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Now they're beating up FTR. I think they superkicked him,
- 19:51Speaker 1: and like the ring is bouncing around. Stoke Lea's in
- 19:54Speaker 1: the chair with his back turned as if he is
- 19:56Speaker 1: completely oblivious to this, and then he kind of realized
- 20:00Speaker 1: this is something's going on behind me, so he turns
- 20:04Speaker 1: around and he starts backtracking, and the crowd, of course
- 20:09Speaker 1: wants the superkicks, so he gets knocked out of his
- 20:13Speaker 1: chair with the pair of kicks and the Bucks hold
- 20:15Speaker 1: up the tag belts. They officially issued the challenge to
- 20:18Speaker 1: FTR for a title match of Revolution, which of course
- 20:22Speaker 1: is going to be in LA It's basically in their backyard,
- 20:26Speaker 1: and we were told later that Tony kh has made
- 20:28Speaker 1: this official now for the pay per view. I wish
- 20:32Speaker 1: we were n't back to this again. Not that the
- 20:35Speaker 1: Bucks in FTR do not have good wrestling matches. They do.
- 20:40Speaker 1: We've seen it many times. I mean, look, there was
- 20:43Speaker 1: a point years ago where I said the same thing
- 20:45Speaker 1: about the Ussos and the New Day, and more often
- 20:49Speaker 1: than not the Usos in the New Day they would
- 20:51Speaker 1: go out there and have really good matches. But you
- 20:54Speaker 1: just get to a point where it's like, all right,
- 20:56Speaker 1: I'd like to move beyond this. Now. I will tell
- 20:59Speaker 1: you that this will be the first time since Dynasty
- 21:02Speaker 1: in twenty twenty four, almost a full two years ago,
- 21:07Speaker 1: that these two teams are squaring off two on two.
- 21:11Speaker 1: A couple of other times they've been involved in like
- 21:13Speaker 1: a three way or four way, but this is actually
- 21:16Speaker 1: the first straight tag team match that these two teams
- 21:18Speaker 1: have had in two years. It doesn't feel that long
- 21:21Speaker 1: to me, but it is the first time in two years.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I just I wish that there, you know, was something
- 21:28Speaker 1: else we could go to. There really is no other
- 21:31Speaker 1: team though right now that's built up to be in
- 21:33Speaker 1: this spot. And whatever's going on with Cope and Christian,
- 21:37Speaker 1: I mean, maybe they'll come back, maybe they won't. I
- 21:39Speaker 1: don't really give a shit at this point, but there's
- 21:42Speaker 1: no one who's really built out for this spot right now.
- 21:46Speaker 1: And also they've been hampered by injuries, right I mean,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you got to take into account the hurt syndicate. Bobby
- 21:53Speaker 1: Lashley's out hurt, there is no hurt syndicate. They reunited
- 21:56Speaker 1: Jurassic Express, Lutrosaurs got hurt, There is no Jurassic Express.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Mark Davis and Jake Doyle just got put together. Doyle
- 22:04Speaker 1: is done, he's injured. Davis is on his own, no
- 22:08Speaker 1: more tag team, so that hasn't helped. So this is
- 22:11Speaker 1: what we're left with. But it is the first time
- 22:13Speaker 1: in a while that we're gonna get it. You know,
- 22:17Speaker 1: as far as who wins, I still don't think the
- 22:19Speaker 1: belts are coming off FTR until Copen Christian come back.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I don't envision the title change in this match. Now.
- 22:29Speaker 1: They cut back to a promo that was shot in
- 22:33Speaker 1: Australia backstage at Grand Slam with Bandido was there, but
- 22:38Speaker 1: it was Brodie King. He was I think sitting on
- 22:41Speaker 1: top of production crate or something. This was after his
- 22:45Speaker 1: loss to MJF. He came this close to winning the
- 22:47Speaker 1: AW World Championship. He fell short, and so he was
- 22:51Speaker 1: not very happy about it. But he talked about how
- 22:53Speaker 1: he was so close he could taste it. But he's
- 22:55Speaker 1: not going to sit around feeling sorry for himself. He says,
- 22:58Speaker 1: bring the biggest and bring the baddest. February twenty fifth,
- 23:03Speaker 1: he's coming back. That's next week on Dynamite, and he's
- 23:06Speaker 1: getting back into the world title hunt and he's looking
- 23:09Speaker 1: for a fight. And this ties in with what I
- 23:13Speaker 1: said at the beginning of the stream here about the
- 23:16Speaker 1: world title scene right now in AAW where even people
- 23:19Speaker 1: that had their shot and lost right and Bendido got
- 23:25Speaker 1: a shot last month Now Brody had his shot. He lost,
- 23:28Speaker 1: but that doesn't mean he's out of the mix, right,
- 23:29Speaker 1: he still wants to be in the hunt for the
- 23:31Speaker 1: World Championship. Everything revolves around the AW World title. That's
- 23:36Speaker 1: like their power source. Right, what Hogan used to do.
- 23:39Speaker 1: He would point to the middle of his hand, right
- 23:41Speaker 1: the power. The power lies right here, brother, right here,
- 23:43Speaker 1: that's the AW World title. And everybody wants a piece
- 23:47Speaker 1: of the AW World Title. Everybody wants a piece of MJSS,
- 23:51Speaker 1: including Brody King. And actually, given what they did at
- 23:54Speaker 1: the end of Dynamite Tonight and I'm looking ahead to Revolution,
- 23:57Speaker 1: they're in Los Angeles who want to get Brodiy King
- 24:00Speaker 1: a match on that show? I think they may have
- 24:02Speaker 1: set up an opponent for him at the end of
- 24:04Speaker 1: Dynamite Tonight. If Kenny Omega's not back in time to
- 24:07Speaker 1: be at Revolution, we could be looking at a swerve
- 24:09Speaker 1: strict Lombardi King match on that show now that I
- 24:12Speaker 1: think about it. But we had a four way after
- 24:15Speaker 1: this for the TBS Championship, Willow Nightingale defending against Meghan Bain,
- 24:22Speaker 1: Mina Sheikawa, and Marina Shafir. Now Meghan Bain and Penelope
- 24:27Speaker 1: Ford were unsuccessful in their bid to win the women's
- 24:29Speaker 1: tag team titles on Saturday, which are held by Willow
- 24:32Speaker 1: and Harley Cameron. So Willow has two titles, as does Hangman.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm sorry, well, if Hangman wins a Revolution, he would
- 24:40Speaker 1: have two titles, but Willow at the moment has two championships.
- 24:46Speaker 1: So here there was no Harley. She wasn't. I think
- 24:49Speaker 1: she's still in Australia. Marina, though quickly sent Mina to
- 24:53Speaker 1: the outside, turned things into a handicap match. Her and
- 24:57Speaker 1: Megan were targeting Willow, who ended up sending both women
- 25:01Speaker 1: out over the top to the floor. There was a
- 25:03Speaker 1: cannonball that connected off the apron. Mina followed with a
- 25:06Speaker 1: huge crossbody off the top rope onto the pile. Later on,
- 25:10Speaker 1: Bain picked up Mina and she just chucked her out
- 25:14Speaker 1: of the ring onto the floor, onto Marina and Willow.
- 25:17Speaker 1: As they cut to a brake, Bain missed a sentan
- 25:21Speaker 1: on Mina and she squashed Marina. That allowed Mina to
- 25:25Speaker 1: nail Megan with a sling blade. Willow flattened everybody with spinebusters,
- 25:30Speaker 1: and the scraps came down and all four women rose
- 25:33Speaker 1: and they were trading shots. Marina no souled Mina initially,
- 25:38Speaker 1: but then she ate the backfist Bain and Nightingale. They
- 25:42Speaker 1: wiped out Marina and Mina, and then they collided with
- 25:45Speaker 1: each other on a double clothesline spot into a reset.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Willow was up first. She spiked Baine with a DVD.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Marina was there though, with a uranagi. So everyone's outside
- 25:57Speaker 1: now and Bain takes out the pile with a tope
- 26:02Speaker 1: out to the floor. So Bain blocked a cake. She
- 26:05Speaker 1: powerbombed Marina onto there's a table in the timekeeper's area,
- 26:09Speaker 1: and she power bombed her onto the table, which didn't break,
- 26:12Speaker 1: and then Marina just sort of she just sort of
- 26:15Speaker 1: fell over the table and then splatted on the floor
- 26:18Speaker 1: back inside. Bain went up top four. I possibly a
- 26:22Speaker 1: moon salt. I think maybe she was trying for Willow
- 26:26Speaker 1: cut her off, and Willow Nightingale drops Meghan Bain with
- 26:33Speaker 1: an avalanche German suplex that looked absolutely terrifying. I shrieked
- 26:41Speaker 1: when Megan Baine landed on the mat and she was
- 26:43Speaker 1: able to twist and get herself over just enough where
- 26:47Speaker 1: she didn't either land on her head or directly on
- 26:50Speaker 1: her face. It kind of looked like she did land
- 26:52Speaker 1: on her face. Very very scary, and even she had
- 26:57Speaker 1: a look on her face. You go back and watch,
- 26:59Speaker 1: she had this look could like just shock on her face,
- 27:02Speaker 1: like her life just flashed before her fucking eyes. So yes,
- 27:06Speaker 1: that was very scary. Mina flew off the top with
- 27:09Speaker 1: a shotgun dropkick, hit a backfist on Willow, and she
- 27:12Speaker 1: went for the figure four. Willow, though, caught her with
- 27:15Speaker 1: a flash cradle for the pin to retain the title.
- 27:21Speaker 1: You know, I was watching this finish here and I
- 27:27Speaker 1: realized that no one in this company consumes more calories
- 27:32Speaker 1: from all the pins that she eats than Mina Sheikau. Yeah,
- 27:38Speaker 1: there's a song that says all I do is win,
- 27:42Speaker 1: and Mina is the opposite of that. She should come
- 27:45Speaker 1: out to the exact opposite entrance music, because all she
- 27:47Speaker 1: does is lose and take the pin and take the
- 27:51Speaker 1: losing fall. In these it's getting exhausting. She's over people
- 27:56Speaker 1: like her. She's got this bubbly personality, She's very charismatic,
- 28:00Speaker 1: so people like Mina. She just never wins, so this
- 28:04Speaker 1: was no different. I thought it was actually a really
- 28:06Speaker 1: fun match. Otherwise, a few hiccups here and there, but
- 28:10Speaker 1: I had fun with this one. Outside of that one
- 28:13Speaker 1: Avalanche German to Megan Bain, which again was scary as
- 28:17Speaker 1: all hell. I would have given her the win here.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Now I look ahead to Revolution. If we get a
- 28:25Speaker 1: match for the TBS title on that show, maybe we do,
- 28:29Speaker 1: maybe we don't. It felt to me like maybe they
- 28:32Speaker 1: were building her towards that Megan Bain specifically, because I
- 28:37Speaker 1: felt like she was the one who kind of looked
- 28:40Speaker 1: the best coming out of this match, and they protected
- 28:43Speaker 1: her in as much as she didn't take the pin here.
- 28:46Speaker 1: You could do a singles match between them, and if
- 28:48Speaker 1: they do a singles match, then great, they could put
- 28:50Speaker 1: the belt on her there. I just I liked the
- 28:52Speaker 1: idea of her being the one to win the TBS title.
- 28:55Speaker 1: I know Willow hasn't had it for a long time,
- 28:57Speaker 1: but Willow has a tag title. Willow is already a champion.
- 29:01Speaker 1: If Willow were to lose one or the other, if
- 29:03Speaker 1: she was to lose the TBS title, it's not the
- 29:05Speaker 1: end of the world. She's still a champion in this company,
- 29:08Speaker 1: in a division that they are trying to build up.
- 29:10Speaker 1: You know, we didn't see the inspiration on this show,
- 29:12Speaker 1: but they just signed the inspiration right to be in
- 29:14Speaker 1: the tag team division. They put Jamie Hater now in
- 29:17Speaker 1: a tag team. They're trying to build up their women's
- 29:20Speaker 1: tag team division, so it's not like she's got nothing
- 29:23Speaker 1: going on. If she drops the TBS title, didn't happen tonight.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Maybe it could happen a revolution, but I think Megan
- 29:30Speaker 1: Bain would be a good choice for that now at
- 29:34Speaker 1: this point in the show, on La Night wins more
- 29:40Speaker 1: than Mina, does you know what? You might not be
- 29:43Speaker 1: too far off with that, Jay, What would the win
- 29:48Speaker 1: loss record be for a La Night Mina Shirakawa team?
- 29:54Speaker 1: Would they win? Would they win a match? I'm not sure,
- 29:58Speaker 1: probably not. But on commentary they cut to the announcers
- 30:03Speaker 1: or ringside and ex Caliber got all serious and he
- 30:08Speaker 1: mentioned that they just lost a big name in the
- 30:12Speaker 1: wrestling community. Kerwin Silphie's who if you don't know, For
- 30:16Speaker 1: decades he was a director, if not the director in
- 30:21Speaker 1: the truck on the production end for WWE. He started
- 30:25Speaker 1: with the company in nineteen eighty five and worked with
- 30:28Speaker 1: them through the pandemic era, and then he got furloughed,
- 30:33Speaker 1: so he was with them for a very long time,
- 30:36Speaker 1: very very key figure behind the scenes. And obviously many
- 30:40Speaker 1: people who are now working for AW not just talent
- 30:44Speaker 1: on the roster or announcers, but again people on the
- 30:46Speaker 1: production end. Mike Mansteri, for example, who I know works
- 30:50Speaker 1: I believe he's the head of production for AW, likely
- 30:54Speaker 1: would have worked very closely with Kerwin. So there were
- 30:57Speaker 1: a lot of people there who were clearly very emotional.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Tony Shavani spoke because he mentioned that for really the
- 31:04Speaker 1: one full year he spent in WWE, because he would
- 31:08Speaker 1: have come in if it wasn't eighty nine. Maybe he
- 31:11Speaker 1: came in the end of eighty eight, but he specifically
- 31:14Speaker 1: mentioned nineteen eighty nine because by early ninety Tony was gone.
- 31:20Speaker 1: But he got to work with Kerwin and he had
- 31:22Speaker 1: nothing but positive things to say about his experience working
- 31:25Speaker 1: with him. Brian Danielson got all choked up. He was
- 31:29Speaker 1: getting very emotional. He said that he didn't know anything
- 31:32Speaker 1: about TV production before working with Kerwin in WWE, and
- 31:36Speaker 1: so he extended his condolences to his family. I thought
- 31:40Speaker 1: this was a very classy tribute to someone who many
- 31:44Speaker 1: viewers would have no idea who they are. You know
- 31:47Speaker 1: he was behind the camera. He was behind the scenes,
- 31:50Speaker 1: he was not in front of the camera, and I
- 31:51Speaker 1: think in his case, that's the way he wanted it.
- 31:55Speaker 1: You didn't really get to see him very often. If
- 31:57Speaker 1: you watch that Peacock documentary The Making of Wrestle Minnie
- 32:01Speaker 1: and Nine, I think he's fairly prominently featured in that one.
- 32:07Speaker 1: So this wasn't something that they had to do, but
- 32:09Speaker 1: they did. I'm glad they did. It was a very
- 32:13Speaker 1: classy thing for them to do. Now, at the top
- 32:17Speaker 1: of the hour, we had Hangman Adam Page out to
- 32:22Speaker 1: the ring, followed by the AEW World champion MJF, fresh
- 32:28Speaker 1: off his win this weekend over Brody King, and there
- 32:33Speaker 1: was a promise of no physicality between the two of them.
- 32:36Speaker 1: They will meet it Revolution for the world title. MJF
- 32:39Speaker 1: went first and he said that this is no infomercial
- 32:43Speaker 1: for Revolution. This is just a fact. He hates Hangman's guts,
- 32:48Speaker 1: He hates everything about him, and he hates all of
- 32:51Speaker 1: these dumb white trash hicks. Do they have hicks in Sacramento?
- 32:57Speaker 1: All these dumb white trash hicks, he said, for thinking
- 33:01Speaker 1: that Hangman is on mjf's level and having the gall
- 33:05Speaker 1: to call Hangman the main character when the main character
- 33:08Speaker 1: of aaw very clearly is him, and the fact that
- 33:12Speaker 1: Hangman holds two wins over him makes him want a puke.
- 33:17Speaker 1: He said, Hangman's not better than him, He's just a
- 33:19Speaker 1: lucky shot. But he can smell it on him, he
- 33:22Speaker 1: can see it in his eyes. There's something off about him,
- 33:26Speaker 1: maybe because his two boyfriends, Kenny and Swerve, are fighting,
- 33:30Speaker 1: or maybe because he had the chance to be at
- 33:33Speaker 1: the top of the mountain twice and both times he
- 33:37Speaker 1: crumbled under the pressure. Maybe he's wondering if he wins
- 33:41Speaker 1: this title for a third time and he crumbles again,
- 33:45Speaker 1: is everyone going to realize that he's always been nothing
- 33:47Speaker 1: but a fraud. Who's to say, But the man that
- 33:51Speaker 1: he's looking at right now is not the man that
- 33:53Speaker 1: he faced a revolution last year. Hangman is a lucky shot,
- 33:57Speaker 1: but he's also all out of bullets. But on March fifteenth,
- 34:01Speaker 1: on his birthday, yes, MJF is crossing over from his
- 34:05Speaker 1: twenties to his thirties. He's changing decades. On March fifteenth,
- 34:12Speaker 1: he can't think of a better gift. And then, finally
- 34:14Speaker 1: ending the myth of Hangman, Adam Page and his cowboys shit,
- 34:20Speaker 1: So now it was Hangman's turn. See they were very nice,
- 34:24Speaker 1: allowing each other the time to speak and not interrupt
- 34:27Speaker 1: each other. Hangman took offense to being called the lucky shot,
- 34:33Speaker 1: says the man who beat the absolute dog shit out
- 34:36Speaker 1: of MJF twice last year. If there's a lucky shot
- 34:39Speaker 1: in the ring right now, it's the man who had
- 34:41Speaker 1: a guaranteed shot at the world title, took it home,
- 34:44Speaker 1: sat on it, returned with a new head of hair
- 34:47Speaker 1: thicker than Mark Davis. Look at Hangman with the jokes
- 34:52Speaker 1: here Mark Davis catching strays. He already has a fucked
- 34:56Speaker 1: up hand. Now he's got to catch strays from Hangman
- 34:58Speaker 1: here in this promo. But a man who inserted himself
- 35:02Speaker 1: into a match between three other men who already hated
- 35:05Speaker 1: each other, who waited on the floor, picked his ass,
- 35:08Speaker 1: slid into the ring, kicked him in the balls, and
- 35:11Speaker 1: collected the spoils of greater men, says MJF. Says he
- 35:16Speaker 1: hates him, But he hates MJF so much worse. And
- 35:20Speaker 1: it's not because of any of that or all of
- 35:22Speaker 1: the years of lying and cheating. It's because when he
- 35:25Speaker 1: looks at MJF. He has never met someone more like him,
- 35:31Speaker 1: says mjf's desperation for love and acceptance. He's no better
- 35:35Speaker 1: than that, and he hates it. And he knows how
- 35:37Speaker 1: loyal MJF is to aw it feels just like him.
- 35:41Speaker 1: And as much as everyone wants that championship, the two
- 35:44Speaker 1: of them, they have always needed it. A revolution. He
- 35:48Speaker 1: wants to end this for good, forever, and he thinks.
- 35:52Speaker 1: MJF knows that this cannot be any normal wrestling match, says,
- 35:57Speaker 1: he feels it, he knows it, So think about a stipulation,
- 36:03Speaker 1: pitch it. Let him hear it, because he has always
- 36:06Speaker 1: known what this match should be, and they should let
- 36:09Speaker 1: the fans decide what this match should be. Well, that
- 36:12Speaker 1: is a terrible idea. You cannot allow the fans to
- 36:16Speaker 1: determine these things. That's not a good idea. So the
- 36:23Speaker 1: fans started chanting Texas death. At least they didn't start
- 36:27Speaker 1: shouting exploding barbed wire deathmatch. Last time they did one
- 36:32Speaker 1: of those, it didn't turn out well. MJF says that
- 36:37Speaker 1: if you think that we're going to do anything but
- 36:38Speaker 1: a normal professional wrestling match for my title, you're out
- 36:42Speaker 1: of your damn mind. Hangman thought he would say that
- 36:46Speaker 1: because he's scared. He's always been a coward. So Max,
- 36:50Speaker 1: if you will agree to this, I will give you something.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I will give you my word. I will give the
- 36:56Speaker 1: fans my word that if I do not win this match,
- 37:00Speaker 1: then I will never again challenge for the aw World
- 37:04Speaker 1: title so long as I live. So MJF at that
- 37:10Speaker 1: point he cracked a smile and he told him, you
- 37:14Speaker 1: got yourself a deal, cowboy, But as far as the
- 37:18Speaker 1: stipulation goes, he's gonna need a week to think it over,
- 37:22Speaker 1: because unlike Hangman, he doesn't shoot first and ask questions later.
- 37:26Speaker 1: And Hangman told him to think it over, but he
- 37:29Speaker 1: already knows the answer. Revolution Texas death s him a
- 37:34Speaker 1: little confused here because he offered to put his ability
- 37:39Speaker 1: to ever challenge for the title again on the line
- 37:42Speaker 1: in this match if MJF gives him what he wants,
- 37:45Speaker 1: which is a Texas deathmatch. And MJF said, you have
- 37:48Speaker 1: a deal, but I need a week to think of
- 37:51Speaker 1: a stipulation. He just told you the stipulation. I don't
- 37:55Speaker 1: know that part of the problem was a little confusing
- 37:57Speaker 1: to me. But uh, Texas death. I mean, look, Texas,
- 38:00Speaker 1: his death is Hangman's go to stipulations. To no surprise there.
- 38:05Speaker 1: I guess we'll see if ultimately, you know, MJF decides
- 38:08Speaker 1: on something different. But I don't think they would flat
- 38:11Speaker 1: out say Texas death and not deliver it, right, I mean,
- 38:14Speaker 1: Tony knows what the fans now, what their expectations are,
- 38:16Speaker 1: and what they're looking for. They're looking for blood and
- 38:19Speaker 1: guts and gore and violence and thumbtacks and staple guns
- 38:23Speaker 1: and drinking blood and all the other shit that we
- 38:26Speaker 1: see in these Texas deathmatches. But the other stipulation, that
- 38:31Speaker 1: other stipulation did not work out well for Cody Rhodes
- 38:36Speaker 1: and it really hamstrung him and maybe even frankly played
- 38:41Speaker 1: a role in his downfall in that company in terms
- 38:44Speaker 1: of the fans started, you know, they started to boo
- 38:47Speaker 1: him and they started to kind of sour on Cody
- 38:50Speaker 1: because you couldn't tell the obvious story. Look at how
- 38:53Speaker 1: well the story worked for him in WWE. It was
- 38:56Speaker 1: literally it was the story, right, I got to finish
- 38:58Speaker 1: my story. They built an entire WrestleMania two WrestleMania main
- 39:02Speaker 1: events they built around his story. There was no story
- 39:07Speaker 1: to tell like that for him in aw because in
- 39:10Speaker 1: the very first year that that company existed, he snatched
- 39:15Speaker 1: it away and for what To this day, I still
- 39:19Speaker 1: don't really understand why they made that decision. It was dumb,
- 39:24Speaker 1: It was completely unnecessary. And I feel like they're doing
- 39:26Speaker 1: the same thing here now, you know, with Hangman, where
- 39:29Speaker 1: it just feels to me like they're boxing themselves into
- 39:32Speaker 1: a corner, you know, unnecessarily. So I am not a
- 39:36Speaker 1: fan of the stipulation. I don't know if anybody even
- 39:40Speaker 1: still really truly believes that Hangman now is gonna win.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Hangman is not going to win the Championship of Revolution
- 39:47Speaker 1: and go three and oher on MJF and end his
- 39:49Speaker 1: run this soon, Like there's just no way. I mean,
- 39:52Speaker 1: that would be booking malpractice if they take that title
- 39:55Speaker 1: away from him on the fifteenth, let alone on the
- 39:58Speaker 1: man's birthday, for crying out loud. Can't do that. So yeah,
- 40:03Speaker 1: I don't really understand why they're doing it. But and
- 40:05Speaker 1: I joked about it before, but it's true. I mean,
- 40:07Speaker 1: the one big difference now in twenty twenty six as
- 40:10Speaker 1: compared to twenty nineteen, there are a lot of other
- 40:12Speaker 1: championships for Hangman to compete for. In fact, he's holding
- 40:16Speaker 1: one right now. He's got a Trio's belt. But they
- 40:19Speaker 1: got the TNT title, and they got the continental title,
- 40:21Speaker 1: and they got the International title, and they have the
- 40:23Speaker 1: national title. It's not like he doesn't have anything to
- 40:27Speaker 1: fight for. But you call him the main character in
- 40:32Speaker 1: aw He's one of their top stars, two time world champion,
- 40:36Speaker 1: and to say, well, I'll never again be able to
- 40:40Speaker 1: challenge for the world title. It's just one of those
- 40:43Speaker 1: things where they're trying to really drive interest in the
- 40:46Speaker 1: match and sweeten the pot as much as possible. There
- 40:49Speaker 1: are other ways to do that, you know, with other
- 40:52Speaker 1: stipulations to make the match appealing without having to go
- 40:55Speaker 1: down that road. I understand it adds an element of
- 40:57Speaker 1: drama to the match now because you would hope with
- 41:00Speaker 1: some of those near falls, like people are hanging on
- 41:02Speaker 1: to every near fall. Oh my god. You know Hangman's
- 41:05Speaker 1: you're never going to be able to challenge again, And
- 41:08Speaker 1: I get that's what they're going for, but I just
- 41:11Speaker 1: feel like it's unnecessary, it's not heated. You have Rodericks
- 41:15Speaker 1: says Hangman will be an awesome National champion, Sure, he
- 41:21Speaker 1: wants to trade down instead of trading up. He'll be
- 41:23Speaker 1: feuding with Ricochet for the national title. We had the
- 41:28Speaker 1: conglomeration Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro ish against the war Dogs
- 41:37Speaker 1: Gabe Kid and Clark Connors. There was a spot late
- 41:40Speaker 1: in the match where Connors tags in Is she is
- 41:45Speaker 1: the legal man, and he charges towards is she and
- 41:52Speaker 1: Is she collapses, grabs his leg, grabs his hamstring. It
- 41:56Speaker 1: looks like and he just buckles to the match, but
- 42:01Speaker 1: he stayed in it. He looked like he was in pain.
- 42:04Speaker 1: He got back up to his feet. He was moving
- 42:06Speaker 1: very very slow and very gingerly. But then again, that's
- 42:10Speaker 1: kind of ischy most of the time. He avoided a suplex.
- 42:14Speaker 1: He planted Connors with a backdrop suplex e. She struggled
- 42:19Speaker 1: to his feet, but he still turned Kid inside out
- 42:22Speaker 1: with a lariat. Connors, though, hit a snap power slam
- 42:25Speaker 1: Orange Cassidy, who I think had been dumped outside. He returned,
- 42:29Speaker 1: having no idea that his partner was injured, spiked Connors
- 42:33Speaker 1: with a spinning DDT and a topey suicida on Gabe Kid.
- 42:37Speaker 1: So both men now brawl into the crowd. Darby Allen
- 42:40Speaker 1: pops up and he kidnaps kid deep into the crowd.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Another kidnapping on this show. That's at least two that
- 42:52Speaker 1: I think. I feel like I may have missed one.
- 42:53Speaker 1: That's at least two. Cassidy returned to the ring. He
- 42:57Speaker 1: hit an orange punch on Connor's who stumbled back in
- 43:00Speaker 1: to what they said was a brainbuster by e. She
- 43:02Speaker 1: It was not a brainbuster. It was a fucking vertical souplex,
- 43:05Speaker 1: is what it was. But they called it a brainbuster,
- 43:08Speaker 1: and is she got the win. And when the match
- 43:11Speaker 1: was over, Cassidy and Rick Knox they went over to
- 43:14Speaker 1: check on him. He just looked like he was in
- 43:18Speaker 1: rough shape. He was in very rough shape. On commentary,
- 43:22Speaker 1: they speculated that she may have torn his hamstring. I
- 43:26Speaker 1: rewound it too earlier in the match, just to see.
- 43:30Speaker 1: To me, there was no noticeable moment in the match
- 43:33Speaker 1: where he would have and we don't know that he
- 43:36Speaker 1: tore his hamstring. That's just it looks like that probably
- 43:38Speaker 1: is what happened here, or maybe some other muscle. There
- 43:42Speaker 1: was no obvious spot where it happened, so I don't know.
- 43:45Speaker 1: But she is older, and my god, the fucking Wars
- 43:48Speaker 1: that this guy has been in. Is it really shocking
- 43:50Speaker 1: if he fucking pulled a hamstring here? I mean, look
- 43:53Speaker 1: at the way the guy moves when he's healthy. But hey,
- 43:57Speaker 1: I mean look, he's a tough sob. He was able
- 44:00Speaker 1: to get back up and finish the match, but it
- 44:03Speaker 1: definitely looked like he pulled something or tore something because
- 44:07Speaker 1: he was in agonizing pain. It looked like they're at
- 44:10Speaker 1: the end. We have the Don Kallis family for half
- 44:16Speaker 1: the family shown backstage beating up a bunch of randos
- 44:20Speaker 1: as Josh Alexander as he was cutting his promo, he
- 44:23Speaker 1: had somebody in an ankle lock. We couldn't see who,
- 44:27Speaker 1: but they accept the challenge that the Death Riders had issued.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Don Callis walks in. He accepts Moxley's challenge on behalf
- 44:35Speaker 1: of Kenoski Takeshta, who is not there tonight. He's in Australia,
- 44:40Speaker 1: still celebrating with Kyle Fletcher after Fletcher's win over Mark
- 44:44Speaker 1: Briscoe on Saturday. So then Okada walks in and he's
- 44:50Speaker 1: got his international title over his shoulder. He said he
- 44:52Speaker 1: would love to be celebrating with Kyle in Australia, but
- 44:56Speaker 1: he showed up here to do his job because he's champion,
- 45:01Speaker 1: unlike Takeshta. So Kada then welcomed in Andrede Liedelo, who
- 45:07Speaker 1: was unsuccessful against Hangman on Saturday, and he referred to
- 45:12Speaker 1: Andrade did Okada as the uncrowned champion. There's only one
- 45:16Speaker 1: uncrowned champion right here. And on that note, you could
- 45:21Speaker 1: listen to The Uncrowned Wrestling Show, Episode number two is
- 45:24Speaker 1: now up on the Aerial Helwani show feed cheap plug.
- 45:27Speaker 1: So yes, Androdi is the uncrowned champion. So he took
- 45:30Speaker 1: his shades off and he says that his eyes are
- 45:33Speaker 1: on the AW World title. So here's another example of
- 45:37Speaker 1: someone who came out of Australia on the losing end,
- 45:40Speaker 1: but they are still laser focused on being the AW
- 45:43Speaker 1: World champion. Brodie King is Andrade is. And I mentioned
- 45:48Speaker 1: this on the show this week, and I said, you know,
- 45:51Speaker 1: sure would have been a great match at Revolution, and
- 45:53Speaker 1: it would have been different to see Andrade in there
- 45:56Speaker 1: against MJF. It's not the match that makes sense right now.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I think a better place to do that match is
- 46:04Speaker 1: in June or whenever they're going back to Arena Mexico.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I know, Tony Kanna said they were definitely going back.
- 46:11Speaker 1: We're going to do another Grand Slam Mexico. The one
- 46:14Speaker 1: they did last year was a big hit. If they
- 46:16Speaker 1: do Grand Slam Mexico again this year, Androte and mjf
- 46:20Speaker 1: on that show at Arena Mexico. That makes more sense
- 46:25Speaker 1: to me. So hopefully he'll get his shot at some point.
- 46:29Speaker 1: But then to the end of all this, Callus said
- 46:32Speaker 1: that he sees Claudio Castignoli. He's walking around with his
- 46:35Speaker 1: CMLL world title, which would look incredible on the mantle
- 46:41Speaker 1: of the Callus family. And then Don Callus, Ocata, androde Alexander,
- 46:51Speaker 1: Lance Archer, El Clone, Rocky Romero all cackle like evil
- 46:58Speaker 1: cartoon villains to close out the segment. This week's episode

- 48:49Speaker 1: Harmony for free at wix dot com slash harmony. That's
- 48:53Speaker 1: wix dot com slash Harmony. Then we had a promo
- 48:59Speaker 1: from Hook, who reminded us that in the absence of
- 49:03Speaker 1: Samoa Joe, who I saw, I believe he's in a
- 49:06Speaker 1: concussion protocol. So we don't know when Joe is going
- 49:10Speaker 1: to be back, but best wishes to him. But he's
- 49:13Speaker 1: out hurt, he's not cleared. So in his place, he
- 49:16Speaker 1: has anointed Hook as the leader of the OPS. Now
- 49:21Speaker 1: Samoa Joe is out and Shabbat is not around because
- 49:25Speaker 1: Hook here in this promo said that he sent Shabbata
- 49:27Speaker 1: back to Japan to recruit. They're looking to recruit new
- 49:30Speaker 1: members of the Ops, and of course they are because
- 49:32Speaker 1: there is no members anymore. There are no members anymore.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Joe is out hurt, Shabbata is on the other side
- 49:37Speaker 1: of the world, and then there's Hook eating his chips,
- 49:41Speaker 1: so they have no other members. I could just picture
- 49:45Speaker 1: Shabbata on the fucking street corner with a giant sign.
- 49:48Speaker 1: You know, hey, you want to join the OPS. I mean,
- 49:51Speaker 1: I don't know where they're recruiting from, but apparently they're
- 49:55Speaker 1: they're trying to recruit some new members here. But then
- 49:58Speaker 1: Hook calls himself the great, this second generation wrestler of
- 50:02Speaker 1: all time. I know, Samoa Joe may be in concussion
- 50:08Speaker 1: protocol right now, but evidently AW does not give cognitive
- 50:12Speaker 1: tests to the members of the OPS. Perhaps they should start.
- 50:18Speaker 1: We had the Brawling Brutes or the Brawling Birds. Actually,
- 50:22Speaker 1: that'd be a hell of a match, the Brawling Brutes
- 50:24Speaker 1: against the Brawling Birds. We had Jamie Hayter and Alex
- 50:27Speaker 1: Windsor taking on Viva Van and Beca. I know these
- 50:33Speaker 1: two ladies. They have appeared before in House of Glory.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Actually beca man when Becca was in House of Glory.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Trying to think if it was the first time we
- 50:40Speaker 1: had her in this would have been three years ago.
- 50:42Speaker 1: I think she suffered a pretty serious knee injury. But
- 50:47Speaker 1: Becca Beca's very good. But this was the TV debut
- 50:50Speaker 1: of Hater and Windsor as a team. They have been
- 50:54Speaker 1: airing vignettes on television now for a few weeks building
- 50:56Speaker 1: up to the debut of this new tag team. They
- 50:59Speaker 1: gave Becka and Viva more time than they probably had
- 51:04Speaker 1: to here, but they got some time to shine, did
- 51:08Speaker 1: the other team. But the Birds took out Viva Van
- 51:11Speaker 1: on the apron that they hit a heart attack finish
- 51:13Speaker 1: to win it, and on that heart attack Hater just
- 51:18Speaker 1: blasted over the clothes line, so they win the match.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Tony Shavani said their finisher is called two Birds one Stone. Again.
- 51:28Speaker 1: I think that Jamie Hayter is someone who should be
- 51:31Speaker 1: in contention for the TBS title, well the world title.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I know she had her shot at World's End, but
- 51:38Speaker 1: still she is somebody who should be in that mix.
- 51:42Speaker 1: But they have a tag ting division that they have
- 51:44Speaker 1: to build up. They have women's tag team titles that
- 51:46Speaker 1: they just introduced a few months ago, and I don't
- 51:49Speaker 1: want it to go the way of the WWE women's
- 51:51Speaker 1: Tag team division for so many years now, only over
- 51:55Speaker 1: the last six months or so has WWE actually started
- 51:58Speaker 1: to take their women's tag devs. Seriously. I don't know
- 52:02Speaker 1: what it was that caused them to have this epiphany
- 52:04Speaker 1: that hey, we should start doing something, but they've actually
- 52:07Speaker 1: taken an interest. Frankly, at the expense of the rest
- 52:10Speaker 1: of the division on both shows. But AW just introduced
- 52:14Speaker 1: these titles, so they have to build up some new teams,
- 52:17Speaker 1: and we're going to see more of this, either bringing
- 52:20Speaker 1: in new teams or putting two people together who aren't
- 52:23Speaker 1: actively involved in a major program. Okay, let's put them
- 52:26Speaker 1: together and let's at least try to get something going there.
- 52:30Speaker 1: I mean, the women's tag team scene right now in
- 52:32Speaker 1: AW was probably at least as strong as the men's,
- 52:35Speaker 1: maybe more so, especially with the injuries that have plagued
- 52:39Speaker 1: the men's division. Now. Renee was backstage with Chris stat
- 52:43Speaker 1: Lander and a returning thunder Rosa. Have not seen Thunder
- 52:51Speaker 1: Rose's face on TV in a very long time. I
- 52:54Speaker 1: thought we were about to be introduced to a new
- 52:56Speaker 1: tag team here. Renee said that Statlander is still not
- 53:00Speaker 1: medically cleared to wrestle for a few weeks. Statlander said
- 53:03Speaker 1: that she doesn't want to wrestle, she wants to fight Tecla.
- 53:08Speaker 1: She lost her title last week to Tecla. Rosa said
- 53:12Speaker 1: that she was cleared officially today and she doesn't like
- 53:16Speaker 1: what's been happening to Statlander. So while Statlander isn't cleared,
- 53:20Speaker 1: Rosa is and she wants a match, and Statlander Warren
- 53:23Speaker 1: Rosa just be careful, be careful of what Tecla is
- 53:27Speaker 1: capable of. It's good to see Thunder Rosa back on TV.
- 53:32Speaker 1: She hasn't wrestled at all, not a single match since
- 53:36Speaker 1: All in Texas last year, and that was in the Gauntlet, Gauntlet,
- 53:40Speaker 1: Battle Royal, whatever it was. I think they did the Gauntlet.
- 53:43Speaker 1: That was the last time that she wrestled. I know
- 53:45Speaker 1: she was dealing with an injury. I don't know what
- 53:47Speaker 1: the nature of the injury was. I think it was
- 53:49Speaker 1: an unspecified injury. I know many years ago she had
- 53:52Speaker 1: a bad back injury. I don't know that this was
- 53:55Speaker 1: a back injury, but she had that. And then there
- 53:58Speaker 1: was some news a few months ago that her and
- 54:01Speaker 1: her husband of fourteen years they split up. So you know,
- 54:05Speaker 1: she's been dealing with some shit. But now she's cleared
- 54:08Speaker 1: and now she's back on TV. But she's also another
- 54:12Speaker 1: addition to a pretty stacked women's division, the exact opposite
- 54:17Speaker 1: of what we're seeing right now on WWE television. The
- 54:20Speaker 1: aw women's division has a massed just a wealth of talent.
- 54:27Speaker 1: And then you and I'm not even including someone like Athena,
- 54:29Speaker 1: who really is a Ring of Honor talent. Why she
- 54:32Speaker 1: still is I have no fucking idea, but she is.
- 54:36Speaker 1: But they have a wealth of talent in that women's division.
- 54:38Speaker 1: They just introduced Lena Cross on the Saturday show even
- 54:41Speaker 1: though she was nowhere to be found on the show tonight.
- 54:46Speaker 1: I guess she'll be a Collision exclusive. I guess is
- 54:49Speaker 1: what Lena Cross will end up being. But there's been
- 54:51Speaker 1: talked that Tony he signed more people than even we
- 54:55Speaker 1: know of, and again we may have seen one of
- 54:57Speaker 1: those people on Saturday, and who knows who else. I mean,
- 55:01Speaker 1: there could be multiple other women who have been signed
- 55:04Speaker 1: that we don't even know about yet. But he's got
- 55:06Speaker 1: a wealth of talent in that division to work with.
- 55:10Speaker 1: We had the Jet Kevin Knight against the Beast Mortos.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Knight entered with Mike Bailey. There are two thirds of
- 55:18Speaker 1: the Trios champions. We got an inset promo that aired
- 55:21Speaker 1: where Kevin Knight said that if the Beast can beat
- 55:24Speaker 1: him tonight, Lafoxion Ingo Bernable would get a Trios title
- 55:29Speaker 1: shot on Collision and I was like, Okay, Mortos winning
- 55:34Speaker 1: a match, now that's fucking hilarious, like okay high comedy
- 55:38Speaker 1: here from Kevin Knight. Mortos worked overnight during the commercial
- 55:42Speaker 1: break and he launched Night over the top and flattened
- 55:46Speaker 1: him with a Torneo dive and the crowd popped for
- 55:49Speaker 1: I mean, look, Mortos is fun to watch and he
- 55:52Speaker 1: goes out there and crowds into his matches. Never fucking wins,
- 55:58Speaker 1: but he's fun to watch. Back inside, Morto's spiked Night
- 56:02Speaker 1: with a huge pop up simon drop. Knight managed to
- 56:06Speaker 1: battle back with a huge dropkick and he used his
- 56:10Speaker 1: I mean, he was flying all over the ring and
- 56:13Speaker 1: ended up taking the beast down hit a leaping splash.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Mortos avoided leaping DDT. He went to the corner. Knight
- 56:22Speaker 1: met him with a leaping hurr karana and then a
- 56:25Speaker 1: pendulum DDT and then he went up top and he
- 56:28Speaker 1: hit the UFO splash. He picked up the win. Not
- 56:33Speaker 1: a long match here, and it was one of those
- 56:35Speaker 1: matches it felt like a collision match in that it
- 56:37Speaker 1: was just sort of thrown out there. A couple guys
- 56:40Speaker 1: who don't really get a lot of airtime on this
- 56:43Speaker 1: show on Wednesday, but Kevin Knight is one of those
- 56:46Speaker 1: guys who I think has the potential to be to
- 56:48Speaker 1: them what Kyle Fletcher has become. Where Kyle Fletcher who
- 56:55Speaker 1: also has become a good promo, and Kevin Knight I
- 56:58Speaker 1: think could also end up in that category. He's one
- 57:01Speaker 1: of those super talented younger guys who's very flashy in
- 57:06Speaker 1: the ring and is fun to watch and as a babyface,
- 57:11Speaker 1: whereas Fletcher is a heel but probably as a babyface,
- 57:15Speaker 1: could get over his big star, one of those big
- 57:17Speaker 1: up and coming young rising stars for them. But you
- 57:20Speaker 1: just got to give him the right focus and attention,
- 57:22Speaker 1: which is what they did to Fletcher, and it paid
- 57:24Speaker 1: off for them because Fletcher, They've turned Fletcher into a
- 57:26Speaker 1: real star here on this roster. Kevin Knight has the potential,
- 57:30Speaker 1: you know, to be someone like that, but in order
- 57:32Speaker 1: to do that, you know, you got to give him
- 57:34Speaker 1: matches on the show, and you would hope over time
- 57:38Speaker 1: they could do a little bit better than the Beast
- 57:40Speaker 1: Morta's who never wins. But at least they're getting him airtime.
- 57:44Speaker 1: You know, like if you were to say to me, hey,
- 57:46Speaker 1: we got Speedball and we got Kevin Knight, and we're
- 57:49Speaker 1: only gonna have time they're not going to do a
- 57:50Speaker 1: tag match, but we only have time to put one
- 57:53Speaker 1: of them on the show tonight. I'm gonna say it
- 57:55Speaker 1: should be Kevin Knight. Speedball does not need to be
- 57:58Speaker 1: in that spot. Kevin Knight mes to, you know, have
- 58:02Speaker 1: those opportunities on the show coming out of that Continental Classic.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I really think that you have to stick the landing
- 58:08Speaker 1: and just get him consistently on the show. And these
- 58:11Speaker 1: matches are okay, but preferably get him involved in a
- 58:15Speaker 1: real story with somebody. But he's one third of the
- 58:18Speaker 1: Trios Champions, So with the Trio's nonsense, that's not gonna
- 58:22Speaker 1: that's not gonna cut it. I actually feel like the
- 58:25Speaker 1: Trio's belts have become more of a detriment than anything else.
- 58:28Speaker 1: It's like, oh, we have these Trios belts, so we
- 58:32Speaker 1: have to we have to occupy them somehow. Hey, we'll
- 58:34Speaker 1: put Hangman together with Jet Speed and there'll be the
- 58:38Speaker 1: Trios Champions. It's like, Okay, I don't really know what
- 58:41Speaker 1: purpose that serves. I feel like it might be more
- 58:45Speaker 1: of a hindrance than anything else. Should be building these
- 58:47Speaker 1: guys up for a Tech team title shot. We got
- 58:51Speaker 1: another will Osprey Vinette where he was talking about if
- 58:55Speaker 1: you think he'll be half the animal he was when
- 58:57Speaker 1: he returns. No, this is where the wrestle, It's where
- 59:01Speaker 1: the Billy Goat wrestles. Every week, we are getting new
- 59:06Speaker 1: vignettes with him. So unless they're going to just continue
- 59:09Speaker 1: to do this for the next four or five months,
- 59:11Speaker 1: it sure feels like he's coming back relatively soon. It
- 59:16Speaker 1: feels to me like they're expecting him to be back
- 59:18Speaker 1: in time for the Owen, But the Owen probably is
- 59:22Speaker 1: not going to start until probably June, you know what.
- 59:26Speaker 1: I think that's doable. I think that's possible. But that's
- 59:29Speaker 1: what it feels like to me. And then if you
- 59:31Speaker 1: want him in the Owen and he could win the Owen,
- 59:33Speaker 1: then you can send him to Wembley to challenge for
- 59:35Speaker 1: the championship. But I feel like you want to you
- 59:38Speaker 1: want to take your time, you know, telling that comeback story.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Is there really gonna be enough time, you know, depending
- 59:45Speaker 1: on exactly when he's cleared. Do you tell that story
- 59:48Speaker 1: even if it's kind of quick, for all in this year,
- 59:54Speaker 1: or do you take your time with it and maybe
- 59:55Speaker 1: tell it for next year. It's not like there's any
- 59:58Speaker 1: lack of competition at the time. Top of the card
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: right now, Oh my god, what are they going to do.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: We're not gonna have Osprey back in time. Well, you
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: got like this whole line of people that you could
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: plug into that spot. Some people think AJ Styles can
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: end up on that list. There is some smoke to
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: that fire. I don't know how realistic it is. There's
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: definitely chatter about it. I talked about that this weekend.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: We'll see what they do with AJ and the retirement
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: ceremony on Monday, but there's been no news on whether
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: or not he's actually still signed with him or not. Backstage,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Ricochet in the Gates of Agony, we're talking about finally
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: putting Jack Perry in the ground. Last week before talking
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: about Kevin Knight getting lucky against Morte's tonight, Bishop Kahn
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: is furious that Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey are having
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: singles matches and not defending the trios titles. Well, they
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: got a legitimate right there. I'm with Goa on that
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: they absolutely have every reason to be pissed off about that.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Total Iona said that this Saturday, be prepared to be
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: in deep waters against the sharks and Ricochet. He turned around.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: They were walking towards their dressing room and on the
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: door of the dressing room there's a knife that is
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: stabbed into the door and Ricochet. He is concerned initially
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: about this, and then he he laughs it off because
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: the knife you see is the calling card of jungle
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Boy Riveting. I know, main event on this show. This
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: was riveting. This was Kenny Omega for the first time ever,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: going one on one against Swerve Strickland, two former AEW
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: World champions going one on one. Crowd started the holy
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Shit chans right from the opening bell. Both men were
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: smacking each other in the face. Swerve fired off some four.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: He ran right into a standing hurricanana from Omega that
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: sent him outside. Omega wanted a terminator dive Swerve, they'll
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: cut him off and hit a Fosberry flop, So Swerve
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: got sent into the crowd. Omega. He briefly stumbled, but
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: then hit a moon salt off the barricade into the crowd.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Got one final ad break here. Later on in the matro,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Omega connected on the Yuchan escape. Strickland, though kicked out
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: at too, and then he sidestepped a charge in the corner.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: He brought Omega up in the corner. Took too long though,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: for a top rope hurricanana that allowed Omega to slide
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: out and plants him face first onto the post. Brian
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Danielson on commentary said, he sees that look in Swerve's eye.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: He sees that look, and he slammed Omega repeatedly into
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: the buckles. Strickland wanted a vertebraker on the apron, thankfully
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: for Kenny in his neck. He didn't get it. He
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: wanted a snapdragon, though he got it. Omega gave a
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: long look at the floor and looked back at Swerve.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: He wanted to give him a snap dragon from the
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: apron to the floor. Swerve, though he fought him off.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Omega switched to head butts. He went right back to it, though,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: and he tried for a snap dragon off the apron,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: and he got it, except that Swerve landed on his
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: feet and Omega fell backwards off the apron and landed
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: flat on his back. But Swerve landed on his feet
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: and ended up hitting a rolling suppleax. Really it was
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: into a brainbuster on the floor. So after throwing Omega
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: back inside, Stricklin hit a four fifty to the back,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Omega kicked out both men counter big Pressure and snap
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: dragons respectively. Omega connected on an avalanche dragon suplex as
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Swerve then called over to Aubrey Edwards as if his
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: shoulder may have been dislocated, and it's like, oh boy,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: just what they need, right, another injury here on this show.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: So he calls her over. Aubrey comes over to check
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: on him, but as this is happening, Omega he is
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: charging in for a V trigger and at the very
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: last second, Swerve grabs Aubrey Edwards and pulls her into
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: the line of fire and Omega blasts her with a
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: V trigger and this got a big reaction. This got
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: booze from the crowd. And I just love on commentary,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: the announcers and Brian Danielson in particular, who won the
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: award by the way, he won the Wrestling Observer twenty
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: twenty five award for Best Wrestling Announcer Best Wrestling Commentator
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: of the Year. Chimed in to tell us, I don't
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: think he did that intentionally, and I'm like, yes, he did.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Although if you don't think he did it intentionally, that's fine,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: But that just means you need to go see your
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: op topic a trist and you got fucking cataracts in
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: your eyes because he very clearly pulled her in the
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: line of fire and got booed for it. So at
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: this point, after the initial shock war off and Kenny
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: saw what he did, He's like, well, one can't grieve forever.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: The match must go on. So he attempts to go
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: for a one winged angel. Strickland rolls through. He hits
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: a house call kick and Swerve has the visual pin.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: But there's no referee. So Prince Nana goes over to
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: check on Aubrey, which is good because nobody came out
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: to do so. No other referee came out to check
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: on her. Apparently the other referees maybe don't like her
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: very much. There were no medics who came out to
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: check on her. She just laid there dead in the
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: ring for I mean, it could have been a good
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: ninety seconds two minutes. Other than Nona, nobody bothered to
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: come over and check on her. Swerve went up top.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: He hit a swerve stomp to Omega on the apron
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: and Omega's face took the brunt of that. Strickland took
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: off the protective there's a protective cover one of the
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: beams that connects the turnbuckle to the ring post, and
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: he had a slingshot, so he sent Omega up face
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: first right into the steel beam, and more booze from
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: the crowd because he's being very heelish here in this match.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: See now, at this point, it's like, Okay, he's acting
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: kind of heelish, but he's trying to win a fucking match, right,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: So he's not a heel just because he's doing this.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: But you know, the fans, they like Kenny Omega and
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: they're not very happy with what he's doing here. Still
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: no medics, I should point out. Strickland called for another referee,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and finally Paul Turner runs out right as Strickland hits
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: a swerve stomp, but Omega kicks out and the crowd
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: goes nuts. Strickland is sitting there and we got the
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: zoomed in camera shot of the shock look on his face.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: He can't believe it, so he rises to his feet.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: He wants to house call kick Omega. He ducks into
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: a snap dragon and then a v trigger to the
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: back poison Rana. Omega wanted the one winged Angel, Strickland escaped,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: he ran into another v trigger Omega wanted another one. Strickland, though,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: hit a charging house call kick and then Big Pressure
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: spiked Omega down on the back of his neck and
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: he got the win right in the center of the ring.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Swerve Strickland in their first meeting pins Kenny Omega. That
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: now makes Andrade and Kenny Omega also lost here to Swerve,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: So two big losses in this story arc for Kenny Omega,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: who said at the very beginning of this year, it's
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: time that I pursue the World Championship again for the
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: first time in a very long time. I'm gonna earn it.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: No one's gonna be able to say, oh, you're an EVP,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: like I'm gonna earn my way into the world title picture.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: And now he's had two pretty big setbacks, so there's
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: no need to rush this story, you know. With Kenny.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I'm glad we got an actual finish here to this match,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: But when it was over, I just thought to myself, well,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: that's one way to go out there and have the
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: best television main event of the year so far. Holy shit.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: And I thought last week's match was it was for
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: about seven days and now we have a new number
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: one now, but we weren't done yet. So the match
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: is over, Nana is dancing and Swerve he slowly turns
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: back around to Omega and he pounces on him and
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: he is raining blows down upon this man, and even
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Nana is like, what are you doing here? And the
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: fans are booing Swerve. This is where the heel turned
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: was cemented. Not because he, you know, did some nefarious
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: things in the match, and yes he pulled Aubrey Edwards
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: in the way, but but this cemented it. This cemented
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: the heel turn because now the match is over and
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: now he's just putting a beatdown on Kenny Omega. He's
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: trying to get rid of the competition here. He wants
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: the world title back. He is just trying to eliminate
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: the competition as much as he can, which actually, now
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: that I think about it makes me wonder you want
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: to eliminate some competition from the world title scene. I
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: could think of something for Swerve to do a revolution
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: now that a hangman went and added that stupid stipulation
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: to his match. If he really wants to clear the
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: field a little bit, he could cost Hangman his match
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: with MJF and then Hangman can never again challenge for
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: the World Championship. And then Hangman could just go back
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: on his word and say, well, he cheated, he cost
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: me my match. That therefore I'm going to ignore the
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: stipulation and I am going to challenge for the world
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: title because I didn't lose. Swerve cost me my match.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: See that at least would make sense. So then not
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: only was he beating up Kenny Omega, he tossed Paul
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Try out of the ring, just threw him out of
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: the ring like a sack of garbage. Strickland took the
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: chain from Nana because when Swerve comes out, now he
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: has that he has that chain. Takes the chain, He
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: wraps the chain around Omega's neck, throws him over the
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: top rope and he is hanging him with the chain
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: by his throat, and the fans are booing Swerve and
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Brian Danielson on commentary is being all dramatic. You're better
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: than this, Swerve, what are you doing? You're better than this,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: so Omega. He lets go and Omega collapses to the floor,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: but he's not done yet. Swerve goes outside he cleans
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: off the announced desk and Danielson is still yelling, you've
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: proved your point. He sets up the ring steps right
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: next to the desk, and he executes a vertebreaker to
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Kenny Omega from the steps through the announced desk, which
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: does explode and Kenny is dead. Has killed Kenny to
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: close out the show, but the camera gets right up
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: in Swerve's face and he's looking at the camera and
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: he's like, I needed this, I needed this. So this
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: is where I could I could potentially see them playing
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: it very you know, tweener like where maybe it's not
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: a full blown heel turn. I tend to think it is,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: but if they wanted to, there could be some shades
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: of gray in there. He's just doing what he feels
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: he needs to do, you know, to get back into
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: that number one contender spot for the world title. But again,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: it's all about the world title. The match itself was excellent,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: best television match of the year, exactly the kind of
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: match you would expect these two to go out there
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: and have, you know, very pay per view quality esque.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I felt like they got a pretty good amount of time.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I didn't clock it, but I feel like they got
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: a pretty good amount of time to do what they
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: needed to do. And now again the world title scene,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: which was already pretty compelling, becomes that much more compelling
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: now that we have a swerve. Heal turn, He'll swerve
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: is the best version of swerve, And now we have that.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: And as I was saying, where do they go from here?
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Because they wrote Kenny Omega off television? This was the
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: angle they did in Philadelphia at the ECW Arena last year,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: or Kyle Fletcher put Kenny through the table I think
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: from the apron, which was never followed up on, by
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: the way, I'll just point that out. So this is
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: the second time now they've done an angle like this
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: to write Kenny off of TV. I mentioned the event,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: the Gaming Convention in Japan that he committed to a
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: very long time ago. Kenny is going to be the
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: guest of honor there in mid March. He was supposed
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: to be there through the day of revolution. It is
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: possible that if they could work something out, maybe he
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: can come back home earlier and be it revolution. But
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I'm looking at this and I'm like, I don't think
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: they're expecting him at revolution. So that's why I said
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: maybe you do like a Swerve Brody king right. You
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: could even be honestly, you could even build to that
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: as like a number one contenders match if you wanted to.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: That doesn't really make too much sense because Swerve just
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: beat Kenny Brody lost already to MJF. But it would
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: at least give him something to do on the show.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: I feel like, just by virtue of beating Kenny Omega
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: that Swerve Strickland that makes him the number one contender
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: after Revolution. The way things are looking to me right now,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Kenny is probably not going to be at Revolution, and
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Swerve may very well play a role in Hangman not
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: winning his match and Hangman losing the chance to ever
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: again compete for the title. And it might be Swerve
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: getting the shot at Dynasty Dynasties where he won his
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: first world title. I mean, I was thinking Dynasty for
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Kenny just because of the Vancouver connection, But for Kenny,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: I don't think you need to rush it. I really don't.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: If he's not going to be at Revolution, it actually
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: kind of makes sense because you could do Swerve and
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: MJF at Dynasty, but you have the hook of, like, well,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: the main event of Revolution could conceivably go either way now,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: because if Swerve is next in line, you could absolutely
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: see Swerve and Hangmen, or you could see Swerve in MJF,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: which is a match they still have never done. They've
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: never done it. It's like Punk and Roman. They were
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: technically in the same match together last year, but this
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: is the first time at WrestleMania this year that we're
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: getting a singles match between them. There's never been a
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: singles match before between MJF and Swerve Strickland, so that
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: may well be the Dynasty match. But you have this
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: added wrinkle now of what Swerve did to Kenny Omega tonight.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Kenny Omega, of course good friends with Hangman Page. What's
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Hangman gonna think of what Swerve did to Kenny tonight?
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Hangman just said on TV last week, Kenny, I wanted
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: it to be you. I wanted to be wrestling you
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: now Andrade in Australia. And then he's going to see
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: what Swerve did tonight. So we'll see if we get
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: an interaction maybe between him and Hangman on TV next week.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: But it just makes things that much more interesting. It
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: was it was an angle that I was not expecting
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: at the end of the show. But I'm glad they
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: did it because it just makes things a lot more
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: interesting than it was before. So I enjoyed Dynamite. I
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: thought it was a good show tonight. Let's see if
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: the Twitter poll agrees. Holy shit, take a look at this,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: almost nine hundred over eight hundred votes in so far,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: seventy eight point two percent thumbs up, twenty one point
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: eight percent thumbs down. When was the last time we
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: had almost eighty percent thumbs up for Dynamite? So I
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: guess I'm not alone. Good show tonight. Should probably open
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: the superchat's page so you don't get a black screen.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: That would probably be helpful. Let's go to your superchats now,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: answer your questions, your comments. If you got any, send
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: get them on in. I want to hear from you guys. Oh,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: how many likes do we have? The goal was four
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: thirty two, right, we're a four point thirty four, so
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: we just eclipsed the goal. Very good, Very good. Flamethrower
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: fluffs Salisbury with a five dollars superchat. Just curious, when
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: will we be getting hog in Florida. We're definitely gonna
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: be venturing down there at some point in the not
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: too distant future. I don't have a date for you.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: We do have a school down there now in the
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Orlando Ovido area, Hog South, Hog North. At some point
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: we'll have a show down there. I don't have a
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: specific date for you just yet. Johnny Burnie does Tony
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Kahn here Page's stipulation and think, well he's leaving. I've
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: heard nothing about Hangman's contract status. I would think he's
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: got Hangman for a little while yet, So I'm gonna
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: say no. Try Chicken says, the aw production four letters,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: one word grit, TNA production hard. The WWE production neat.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: The WWE production is very polished. There's nothing gritty about
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: WWE television. WWE television is the opposite of gritty. Not
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: to be confused with that ugly mangy mascot from Pennsylvania.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Dry Chicken says it would not surprise me once will
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Osprey returns. He's going after John Moxley and his continental title,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: and also your thoughts on the women's division. Well, I
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: gave my thoughts earlier on the women's division. Yeah, I
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: mean him coming back and going after the continental title
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: doesn't really appeal to me as much as that story
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: about him going after the world title. But if his
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: comeback is, you know, later in the spring, there may
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: not be enough time, honestly to tell the right story
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: for him in the world title. I'm not convinced Moxley
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: is going to be Continental champion beyond Revolution. I think
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: he drops it as I sit here right now, I
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: feel like he drops it to Takeshta. So I'm not
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: even sure you're talking about him still being the champion
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: in August, and I don't know about that. I'm not
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: feeling that. Steve Joseph, are you going to double or nothing?
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: No plans right now, got to be here for the
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: review at the moment, undecided, but probably not unless something changes.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Dry Chicken He'll Swerve is back. Yes, He'll Swerve is
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: the best swerve Terry with a five. Kyle versus Speedball
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: TV match was fantastic in January Continental Classic Tournament Hi Hi.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: Continental Classic was in December, not January, and that was
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: a great match. Duffsvid's George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: get together to make a movie. George says I'll direct,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: Leonardo says I'll act, Matthew McConaughey says, all right, all right,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I'll right, all right, all right, I'll right, mister Rod,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: thank you for the five no message. Thank you, my
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: friend dried chicken without flavor. Tony Kahan should create a
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: tag team tournament cup. Oh great, more prizes to fight for.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: We already have the Owen belts, we have the Gauntlet contracts.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Now you want cups? You know what? Should have a cup?
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Besides all the people who get kicked in the dick
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: on TV, the Continental Classic should have a cup. There
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: should be the Continental Cup and no continental type Continental
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Cup and a World Championship guaranteed World Championship match bender
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: mc simpson. I'm not sure where Tony Kahan is going
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: with Hangman's proposition. I don't want MJF to drop the
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: belt so soon. And yes more heel swerve Please, MJF
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: cannot lose that title of revolution. I mean that would
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: just be ridiculous. U MJF is mid, says excited to
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: watch MJF against Zillapha two on Triller. Love your new podcast.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: It's my favorite pod of the week. Your shows are
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: not mid. No, They're definitely not mid. There's a lot
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: of mid podcasts out there, Mine eight one of them.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Thank you brother. It's gonna be a good match on
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Friday night. You know we're all this talk about MJF
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: and Hangman a revolution. It might all be moot. It
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: might it might be rendered completely moot on Friday night.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: If Zillafa two wins the AW world title and signed
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: his AW contract in the middle of the ring, can
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: you imagine, Hey, anything can happen? Oh with a five
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: dollars super chat. Did you hear what Ian Ricabonni said
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: about Ring of Honor? All these sudden signings are starting
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: to make sense. I did not see what Ian Ricabonni said,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: but if you have been listening to some of the
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: recent shows, I did make a comment a few weeks
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: ago about all of these sudden signings that we're hearing about,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: and I wonder if something is a miss. I wonder
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: if something is going on with a Ring of Honor.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: I wonder if they feel like there might be an
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: actual TV deal in the works for Ring of Honor.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: So I don't know what Ricabonni said, but if it's
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: something to that effect, I would not be surprised. I
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: had the same thought you know when I read about
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: all these new signings and Tuxedo tis fifteen dollars, super chat,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: no message, just showing love. I love it, And Alex
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: says brother solo by rent Cell, Buy rent Cell. On
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: your favorite Cody match versus Roman at WrestleMania forty, says
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Dustin at Double or Nothing twenty nineteen, Him and Dustin
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: against Roman and Seth at Battleground twenty thirteen. I would
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: go WrestleMania of forty and I would rent on the
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: Double or Nothing, and I would sell on the tag
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: But all three matches were great, and actually the the
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Seth Rolins cell of the Crossroads in that tag match
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: is still the best cell I've ever seen on the Crossroads.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: I know there was that one extra h. It was
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: on an episode of SmackDown who took a Crossroads? I
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: mean he took this fucking exaggerated bump for it, which
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: was great, But that role and cell, that's still the
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: best one. What is Hangman's record in Texas deathmatches. I
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: don't think he's undefeated, but he's got a winning record.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: I know that. I think his record is pretty good,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: but yeah, there it is a house of Glory. No
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: turning back. If you can't be at the NYC Arena
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: on Friday nights, and there are still limited general admission
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: seats available, and actually I can't even say seats general
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: admission tickets. You'll probably be standing. But if you can
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: get to the building, get to the building, because this
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: is not going to be a show that you're gonna
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: want to miss. All five rows are sold out, stage
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: seating has sold out. GA ticket are still available, but
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: you can watch it on Triller TV Plus. On the
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: one side, you see MJF defending the aw World Championship
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: against Zillafatu and then Andrede Alitelo, who has been collecting
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: world championships in multiple promotions around the world Mexico, Puerto Rico, Germany.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: He's the new heavyweight champion in the German Wrestling Federation
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: and now he is coming for Charles Mason's Hog World Championship.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: So those are two of the big matches on Friday nights.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: I will be there, I will be on the call,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: probably be running around doing a whole bunch of different things.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: It's gonna be a big night and because of that,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: I will not be here for the SmackDown review on
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: Friday nights, so just be aware of that. But see,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: I have a good excuse, though, I do have a
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: good excuse. All Right, you hit the goal. Let's be
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: the booker. Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: beat the Booker. Yeah, Hangman lost to Swerve, but I'm
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: pretty sure he's got a winning record otherwise in Texas
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: death matches he's done pretty well. Beat Moxley in one
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: to win the world title last year. All right, we
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: were talking about tag teams before. Well here's a tag
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: team right here, the dream Team of Brutus, Beefcake and
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: Greg the Hammer Valentine. Look at the swag on Valentine.
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: Look at this guy, purple shirt, buttons are open, shades
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: are hanging, look at the Look at the rolex on
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: his wrist, gold in his lap. Look at this guy,
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: and the dream team takes on. Well, some might call
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: this a dream team Stone Cold, Steve Austin and Dude
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: Love against Valentine and Beefcake. See now those are tag
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: team titles. Those are what tag team titles should look like.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: He reconcern, what's going on? Fifty one months in a
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: blue skull? As hog commish, have you talked to TK
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: yet If not, how do you get other promotions wrestlers? Oh,
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: I can't share trade secrets here. They want to come
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: to House of Glory. I can't divulge of those secrets,
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: says PS. Let's go Yankees, And now I'm definitely not
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: going to tell you. I was thinking about it, and
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: I said should I? And then I saw let's go Yankees,
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: and I said, now, now he doesn't deserve it. Women's
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: be the booker. We have Soria who has actually been
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: training for an n ring comeback lately where we don't know,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: but she is training for a comeback. Sorea is going
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: to go one on one with Victoria. How are we
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: feeling about this? I put it to the chat Victoria
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: and Sorea. I'll give it a bell, But how are
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: we feeling about this? Hog? Unreal? There'll be no breaking
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: kfabe in this company. We've got to keep k fabe
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: at all times. All right, made a vent time? Oh,
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: we have r Cassidy in the main event. It's basically
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: like me, I'm in the main event. Basically Orange Cassidy
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: in the main event against Batista. I don't know what
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: main event that would be, h what pay per view?
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: That we've been main eventing, but not mine. Sorry, Dave
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: Batista in Orange Cassidy is not a main event in
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: my promotion. Row Row Roman reigns gently down the stream.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Row Row Roman reigns gently down the stream. Oh we
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: almost had a clean sweep, almost, but not quite. Bobby's
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: World with a twenty one thank you brother. Eli delivers
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: box box contains Jericho. GMS ship the box around forever.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: They finally opened the box to find Jericho expired. What
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: follows is manslaughter trials for Eli, the GMS, and whoever
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: sent the box WWE story. Oh maybe TK sent the
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: box because you want him? Here you go, now you
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: can have them. I would watch those trials. If they
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: put those trials on like Court TV during the day,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: I would watch those trials and I would review them
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: on the sound off each day. Every week there would
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: be a trial review segment. That'd be a riveting audio
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: for the podcast. Moore said, Solo Swerve choked Kenny out
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: with a chain when Dynamite went off the air. It
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: is clear that this is a full heel turn. It's
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: what I felt, but I was an entirely sure. But
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: that's good to know. Good, good, he should be full heel.
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: He's at his best when he's a heel. He's at
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: his most sinister when he's a heel. I guess we
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: won't have a chance to redeem ourselves on the be
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: the Booker stuff until Monday, so that'll be on the
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: Raw Review. That's the next time I'll be live with you.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: But this weekend, of course, you'll have a brand new
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: episode of the sound Off, episode nine fifty two already
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: being worked on, already collecting news for the week and
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: going through your email questions, so get them on in
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: and again if you did not already listen, The Uncrowned
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Wrestling Show went up yesterday. If you're looking for a
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: podcast fix in about an hour and twenty minutes to
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: kill tomorrow, there you go. It's not on my feed.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: Just remind everybody it drops every Tuesday evening on the
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: Aerial hell Wani Show feed. You'll see some of his
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: other shows on there, the Crack the Boys, and the
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: a lot of MMA shows. This is the brand new
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: wrestling show. We want to make this a big success
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: on the feed there. That only happens if you download
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: and stream and tune in. And so far, so good.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: We're kicking ass so far, so I love hearing that. Anyway,
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: I'm going to get out of here. Thank you guys
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: for hanging out with me here on a Wednesday night.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: It's good to have a nice dynamite, and I will
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: be back with you very soon. Check out all the
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: other content, the shorts that have been going up on
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: the channel. I'm trying to get more of those out
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: As long as you guys keep commenting on them and
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: responding and like them, we'll keep pumping those out here,
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: always trying to offer some new stuff. Be well, stay safe,
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: have yourselves a great rest of your night, and I
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: will see you back here on the channel for more
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: solo Monster Sounds off very soon. Until then, take care, guys,
