- 1:28Speaker 2: It's a podcast call twenty five whistles wine.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Hey, welcome to the show. Eddie comble to whistle.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Eddie's a little fried right now.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I mean it's part of it, dude, new system, but whatever.
- 1:45Speaker 1: You can watch all of this on YouTube, by the way,
- 1:47Speaker 1: So the whole show. If you're ever like man a world,
- 1:49Speaker 1: wish I could see what they're doing, you can see it.
- 1:52Speaker 1: You can see it. Yeah, it's here. We put this
- 1:55Speaker 1: up on YouTube at Bobby Bones channel. So at Bobby
- 1:58Speaker 1: Bones channel. If you want to watch the show on YouTube,
- 2:01Speaker 1: you can. But that's why Eddie's stresses. All the computer
- 2:03Speaker 1: equipment is brand new and we're very happy to have it.
- 2:06Speaker 1: But there's a learning curve that comes with it, and
- 2:08Speaker 1: things are like freezing and stopping and dying and I
- 2:11Speaker 1: don't know what's happening.
- 2:11Speaker 5: And I'm not I don't know how this works. Like
- 2:14Speaker 5: I know how to operate it, but I don't know
- 2:15Speaker 5: how it works. So when it messes up, I'm like,
- 2:17Speaker 5: help someone.
- 2:19Speaker 1: It'd be okay, though, that will be fine, it'd be okay, okay.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Well let's start number one. Do I look like a
- 2:24Speaker 1: guy that would have friends that could hook up people
- 2:26Speaker 1: on the black market?
- 2:29Speaker 4: No? No, no, not at all.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I wouldn't think people would think I would even have
- 2:33Speaker 1: those friends. Or maybe they think it's because I have
- 2:37Speaker 1: a high position in the company, or like a mild
- 2:41Speaker 1: amount of near fame. I don't really know. But one
- 2:46Speaker 1: of my friends was like, Hey, you have a black
- 2:47Speaker 1: market guy for prescriptions. What you're like, look at me, dude,
- 2:52Speaker 1: Well that was my question. I was like, I thought
- 2:53Speaker 1: it was a joke. I was like that I would be.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I'd be scared to even know somebody that could do that,
- 2:58Speaker 1: because I don't like I'm going to jail. Sure, I
- 3:01Speaker 1: don't want to go to jail.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I don't I see where he's coming from though, because
- 3:04Speaker 5: successful people know people, and I feel like they have
- 3:08Speaker 5: access to anything that would people would assume that.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But I if I were given access, I think I
- 3:15Speaker 1: would say no, thank you to the access because I
- 3:18Speaker 1: don't want to be associated. I would just be scared. Anyway.
- 3:22Speaker 1: A friend hit me up. I was like, do you
- 3:23Speaker 1: have a black market prescription? Guy? And I was like,
- 3:25Speaker 1: who even asked that question? That's funny, Like do people
- 3:28Speaker 1: normally have friends that have black market prescription? And what's
- 3:31Speaker 1: black market?
- 3:31Speaker 3: Even?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Is that just a doctor that will prescribe anything more.
- 3:33Speaker 3: With a black market?
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah yeah. Then you say that like, do
- 3:37Speaker 1: you have a friend that's a doctor that will prescribe
- 3:38Speaker 1: me some medicine? Because all black markets a kind of
- 3:40Speaker 1: freak me out a little bit. I'll tell you who
- 3:42Speaker 1: it is off the heir.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Or even like do you have do you know anybody
- 3:45Speaker 6: that can get these whatever?
- 3:46Speaker 3: It is?
- 3:46Speaker 1: Just as ask it that way.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I think it was the black market part that really
- 3:49Speaker 1: messed me up because I don't know anything about the
- 3:51Speaker 1: black market at all. I saw DeAndre Hopkins past his
- 3:54Speaker 1: physical this morning, so he will be a chief. I
- 3:57Speaker 1: wonder what the NFL physical is really like I take physicals.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I guess every year our insurance makes us take physical
- 4:04Speaker 1: and then I if I do any kind of adventure
- 4:06Speaker 1: show it, then maybe take a physical for insurance there.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And so when I go and take a physical, this
- 4:10Speaker 1: is what happens. I go in, the doctor takes my blood.
- 4:14Speaker 4: That's it, and sends it off pretty much.
- 4:17Speaker 1: He'll they'll they'll like I blow into a tube where
- 4:20Speaker 1: you go and you blow as long as you can,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and on the screen it's like leaves on a tree
- 4:25Speaker 1: and you see how many leaves you can blow off
- 4:27Speaker 1: the tree in one breath. And that's to test like
- 4:28Speaker 1: lung function.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Wow.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So but it's like three things and they test it
- 4:33Speaker 1: all basically in the blood. So whenever the results come back.
- 4:37Speaker 1: This morning, I saw it just come across the DeAndre
- 4:39Speaker 1: Hopkins just pass his physical. He'll get to be a chief.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Is it the same test? Do they just go on
- 4:43Speaker 1: and give blood or do they make them like remember
- 4:45Speaker 1: the episode of The Cosby Show where he had to
- 4:47Speaker 1: put all those things on his chest, all those stickies,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and he would like run on the treadmill and then
- 4:51Speaker 1: they would make them walk backward.
- 4:54Speaker 4: I don't I don't watch that show.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Man, Yeah, but you did?
- 4:57Speaker 4: You did?
- 4:58Speaker 1: Did they stretch them?
- 4:59Speaker 3: Like?
- 4:59Speaker 1: What's an NFL physical? Somebody google that, give me details
- 5:02Speaker 1: of an NFL physical. Everything's popping up just from the
- 5:06Speaker 1: draft or from the combine.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Sorry, they don't care about it.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'm trying to find that different because that's yeah, yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 1: it's very different that that is measuring how fast, how far?
- 5:16Speaker 1: A physical is just are you healthy?
- 5:18Speaker 4: So they're really they're concerned about, like is he have
- 5:21Speaker 4: a heart condition? You have to pass a.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Physical because we've seen trades happen and then not go
- 5:26Speaker 6: through because they failed the physical.
- 5:27Speaker 1: So I wonder it's like can you not run a
- 5:29Speaker 1: mile in six minutes? Like what is the physical for
- 5:31Speaker 1: the NFL? And is it different than mine? To get
- 5:33Speaker 1: my insurance renewde? Do they still do the cough for
- 5:36Speaker 1: the in high school? No, Eddie, Eddie does that to you?
- 5:40Speaker 7: Yeah, it seems like I'm more in depth physical of
- 5:45Speaker 7: what you would take, So go ahead, Mike. It's to
- 5:47Speaker 7: make sure that they can play without risk to their body.
- 5:49Speaker 7: So they do like a cardiovascular But what do they.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Do do they make them get on a treadmill? I'm
- 5:54Speaker 1: getting the water or anything like that.
- 5:55Speaker 7: They're testing their bones, their internal organs, their blood work.
- 5:59Speaker 1: X rays test the organs probably huh, probably through the blood.
- 6:03Speaker 1: But that was another option, he said, blood test their organs.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Yeah, but you can test your blood with your blood.
- 6:08Speaker 4: But it sounds like that.
- 6:09Speaker 1: You cant your bood with your blood.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Yeah, like the blood test.
- 6:12Speaker 5: It's amazing how like you take a piece of blood
- 6:15Speaker 5: and it knows exactly why.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I know that's a blood test, right, but.
- 6:18Speaker 5: Your body tells you, your blood tells you about your bones,
- 6:20Speaker 5: tells you about everything.
- 6:20Speaker 1: But he just said it was three different things. That's
- 6:22Speaker 1: my point. He said, a blood test, it tests your organs.
- 6:24Speaker 1: It tests your bones, Like they take that little thing
- 6:27Speaker 1: and hit your knees if it flops reflex.
- 6:30Speaker 6: Yeah, and I know when teams report back to camp,
- 6:32Speaker 6: like they have to run a certain amount one hundred
- 6:34Speaker 6: yard dashes or whatever and if they don't pass in
- 6:37Speaker 6: like a certain time. Yeah, but that's not a physical,
- 6:40Speaker 6: that's cardiovascular.
- 6:41Speaker 1: But that's a fitness test to prove if you've been
- 6:43Speaker 1: working during the off season to be in shape. Yeah,
- 6:47Speaker 1: I'm just gonna go with you walk in. It's like
- 6:49Speaker 1: one blood test that they clear you.
- 6:51Speaker 3: You're done.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but DeAndre Hopkins passed the physical. He will be
- 6:54Speaker 1: a Chief. I just I just saw him again, told
- 6:56Speaker 1: you guys, yeah, recently we became we finally became friends.
- 6:59Speaker 1: And now he's leaving and no congratulations DM yet. No,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I'll probably get to that in a little bit though.
- 7:04Speaker 6: I think he's pumped.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, like you wake up and you're like, I think
- 7:08Speaker 1: only because it's the Chiefs. I think he has a
- 7:10Speaker 1: place that he likes to live now. I think Nashville's home.
- 7:12Speaker 1: He just started like a business here that I know of,
- 7:15Speaker 1: and so he probably thought this was it for him,
- 7:17Speaker 1: like and it probably will still be it for him
- 7:19Speaker 1: because this is only the rest of the season. It's
- 7:22Speaker 1: like he's signing a multi year deal. Nor do they
- 7:24Speaker 1: need him for multi years because again they'll have their
- 7:27Speaker 1: everybody that got injured hopefully back next year. Yeah, but yeah,
- 7:30Speaker 1: I think for six months, that's pretty awesome. Get to
- 7:34Speaker 1: go to the playoffs. He wasn't going here, but the
- 7:36Speaker 1: Titans and they trade and everybody. They don't have eleven people.
- 7:40Speaker 4: What are they doing? What's their plan?
- 7:41Speaker 1: They put stick to draft picks on it out in
- 7:43Speaker 1: the field. This is our outside linebacker except now it
- 7:47Speaker 1: just has round four draft pick on a dummy. It's
- 7:50Speaker 1: it's to show up and lose and have a better
- 7:54Speaker 1: spat in the draft.
- 7:54Speaker 4: That's it.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I don't think it was the plan at the beginning
- 7:57Speaker 1: of the year, but I don't think US has turned
- 8:00Speaker 1: into what they hoped he would be. So I assume
- 8:03Speaker 1: they'll grab a quarterback wherever they are, and there's a
- 8:06Speaker 1: few of them that come off the board pretty quick.
- 8:08Speaker 1: But what's their plan when eleven o'clock play the game?
- 8:13Speaker 1: Because they're not gonna get me three o'clock games. They're
- 8:15Speaker 1: for sure and getting many primetime games. They're don't get
- 8:17Speaker 1: flex out of anything where people watch. So oh yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 1: well that's the that's the new so far you want
- 8:22Speaker 1: to do tell title, Let's do it. Let's go time.
- 8:28Speaker 6: The tattle, which rank matchup with a double digit spread
- 8:35Speaker 6: is most surprising to you this weekend?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Notre Dames playing Navy, Notre Dames minus thirteen. I think
- 8:41Speaker 1: they'll I love America. I just want to say it
- 8:43Speaker 1: before I say I love America. I love I love
- 8:46Speaker 1: the Navy, I love the Air Force, I Forces, the Army,
- 8:49Speaker 1: they protect us freaking USA, everything about you. Let's go
- 8:53Speaker 1: love it. Oh say, can you see all of it?
- 8:56Speaker 1: I love it all. Notre Dame is gonna They're gonna
- 9:00Speaker 1: run a hole in Navy, I feel I do. The
- 9:02Speaker 1: only think about Navy that's tough and as let's do
- 9:05Speaker 1: a couple of coaches talk is that you have to
- 9:07Speaker 1: plan one week for an entirely different look that you
- 9:12Speaker 1: don't see any times the rest of the year. Meaning
- 9:14Speaker 1: you might see it spread offerings. It's a little different.
- 9:16Speaker 1: You might see a pro style, you might, but how
- 9:20Speaker 1: they run the ball and their wishbone veer like, that's
- 9:24Speaker 1: the only time. So you're always kind of building. You're building,
- 9:27Speaker 1: you're taking a block away, giving a block back all
- 9:30Speaker 1: season along as these teams change. But basically it's the
- 9:32Speaker 1: same ish with Navy, with Army, with these teams that
- 9:35Speaker 1: just run the ball. Yes, you have only like five
- 9:38Speaker 1: or six days. The teacher guys an entirely different defensive
- 9:40Speaker 1: system to stop it. So some of these teams get
- 9:42Speaker 1: so shocked by that. But I just think Notre Dame
- 9:45Speaker 1: also cannot afford to lose. That loss to Northern Illinois
- 9:50Speaker 1: was very ugly. They will not be a two loss
- 9:52Speaker 1: team that gets in. There will be two loss teams
- 9:54Speaker 1: that get into the College Football Playoff, those will be
- 9:56Speaker 1: SEC teams, possibly a Big Ten team, although there's looking
- 10:00Speaker 1: to be a lot of one loss teams that are
- 10:02Speaker 1: up there in that little spaghetti. But I think Notre
- 10:06Speaker 1: Dame takes it to Navy. They're a thirteen point favorite. Illinois,
- 10:11Speaker 1: which we have coach Bilaman coming up in just a second.
- 10:13Speaker 1: They're a twenty one point underdog at Oregon. That seems
- 10:16Speaker 1: that one seems weird. That's a lot of that's a
- 10:18Speaker 1: lot of points, and Oregon does score, and Oregon is
- 10:20Speaker 1: a really good but that's a lot of points. That
- 10:23Speaker 1: one's probably the most surprising. Missouri's a six sixteen point
- 10:27Speaker 1: underdog Alabama. I don't think Missouri's as good as I
- 10:29Speaker 1: used to think they were good. And I only used
- 10:30Speaker 1: think they were good because I was told that, even
- 10:31Speaker 1: though I didn't believe that. Right, they almost lost to
- 10:34Speaker 1: Vany They've almost lost a few times this year. Yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: So the most surprising is Illinois being a twenty one
- 10:39Speaker 1: point underdog to Oregon. But what that means is if
- 10:43Speaker 1: I think it's the most surprising in no way, that's
- 10:44Speaker 1: probably what's going to be the one that actually is
- 10:47Speaker 1: that big of a gap. Already put money on it.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Which one Illinois Illinois or plus plus twenty one?
- 10:51Speaker 6: Yeah, plus twenty one.
- 10:52Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 10:53Speaker 1: That's a lot of points.
- 10:54Speaker 6: And their defense is good. I'm not saying they're gonna win,
- 10:56Speaker 6: but twenty one's a lot.
- 10:57Speaker 1: It's a lot of point. Yeah, all right, next question,
- 10:58Speaker 1: All right.
- 10:59Speaker 6: NFL, here be the buck forty nine ers need to
- 11:01Speaker 6: make a trade to get a wide receiver.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It sucks for the Bucks. They have nothing.
- 11:04Speaker 4: They lost everyone, brutal.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Both they lost both their guys. They got nothing. They
- 11:10Speaker 1: actually I got a call. I just got a call
- 11:12Speaker 1: from Tampa. I don't know who it was, but I
- 11:13Speaker 1: got a call from Tampa area code. I'm thinking it
- 11:15Speaker 1: was for that to play wide receiver. If you think,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I think if they're struggling so much. And I didn't
- 11:20Speaker 1: answer it, but now it makes sense.
- 11:21Speaker 4: You've been trading.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, I have been training. Oh my god.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Yeah, God.
- 11:26Speaker 1: One's out for the year. Probably I uke out for
- 11:28Speaker 1: the year with the forty nine ers. McCaffrey is supposed
- 11:31Speaker 1: to come back though for the forty nine ers, so
- 11:33Speaker 1: I mean least, but is he is he coming back?
- 11:38Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Cooper cup is rumored to be on the block but
- 11:41Speaker 1: for a second round guy. But he's got nineteen ankle
- 11:43Speaker 1: surgeries last week alone. You know, Christian Kirk the Jaguars.
- 11:48Speaker 1: But did the Jaguars believe they're going to be good
- 11:49Speaker 1: in the future. Their owner, mister Kahan Shat Khan. So
- 11:54Speaker 1: this was the best Jaguars team they've ever had, and
- 11:56Speaker 1: they've won a couple of games. But are they you know,
- 12:00Speaker 1: and if you think they're going to be good again,
- 12:03Speaker 1: you don't sell.
- 12:04Speaker 4: That means like selling out right.
- 12:05Speaker 1: No, that means are you selling to rebuild baseball teams?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Do it a lot? Right, Like if you're not going
- 12:10Speaker 1: to make the playoffs and contract you sell. You sell
- 12:12Speaker 1: everybody so you can bring have picks or guys in
- 12:16Speaker 1: the farm system. But Christian Kirk is pretty good. So
- 12:22Speaker 1: Dante Johnson with the Panthers, Bryce Hey, Brycehri is gonna
- 12:24Speaker 1: start this week. He is, Yeah, because the car because yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 1: and he almost an accusing cart. I don't think anybody
- 12:31Speaker 1: died or anything. I don't think it was right last that.
- 12:34Speaker 1: I was just like the dog was in the car. Though.
- 12:36Speaker 1: That sucks. They get hurt, No, But you got kids
- 12:40Speaker 1: in a family, and the dog. The dog is the
- 12:43Speaker 1: last one to.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Get a kid's family. One thing with the dog makes
- 12:46Speaker 4: it way worse.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Darius Layton with the Giants, I mean, Mike Williams with
- 12:49Speaker 1: the Jets is interesting because Aaron Rodgers hates him. I
- 12:53Speaker 1: hate Aaron Rodgers. I've evolved. I've evolved in a negative way.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I rooted for him so hard last year, and I
- 13:02Speaker 1: rooted for him this year. And the more I see
- 13:05Speaker 1: him in New York, Casey, I know you're here, I
- 13:07Speaker 1: hate him.
- 13:08Speaker 4: It's brutal, Bobby.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I hate him.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I did not.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I wasn't a hater. I actually rooted for him. I
- 13:14Speaker 1: cannot stand him now.
- 13:15Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:16Speaker 9: I don't know how he could get on like the
- 13:18Speaker 9: show on ESPN and keep talking every week and like
- 13:21Speaker 9: just pretend everything's all good.
- 13:22Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 13:23Speaker 1: He's just so unlikable. Yeah, and then Mike will I
- 13:26Speaker 1: felt so bad for Mike Williams because again, let's just
- 13:29Speaker 1: say he ran the wrong route. Yeah, let's just say
- 13:31Speaker 1: he ran the wrong route. And this is two weeks old,
- 13:34Speaker 1: and Aaron Rodgers gets on and just throws him under
- 13:36Speaker 1: the bus like that and old not because he felt
- 13:37Speaker 1: like it was some learning lesson from Mike Williams. He
- 13:39Speaker 1: just didn't want it to be his fault. I don't
- 13:43Speaker 1: like that. I will pay trade Mike Williams to one
- 13:44Speaker 1: of those teams. I just want Mike Williams out of there. Heck,
- 13:46Speaker 1: we'll take him on our show right here. Yeah, we'll
- 13:48Speaker 1: take him. Mike Williams, you could come here. I feel
- 13:50Speaker 1: so bad for him. So yeah, Cooper Cup will probably
- 13:55Speaker 1: go somewhere. There's just too much smoke for that not
- 13:57Speaker 1: to happen. Everyone's talking about it. Is Cooper Cup gonna
- 13:59Speaker 1: go the same way. They continued to talk about our
- 14:02Speaker 1: boy here. They were like, he's going to the Chiefs
- 14:04Speaker 1: for two weeks and then finally. So yeah, I think
- 14:08Speaker 1: if the Bucks want to make a run, they need
- 14:10Speaker 1: to the forty nine ers. I think they're probably going
- 14:13Speaker 1: to be just okay, and they'd be okay not doing it.
- 14:17Speaker 1: They've got back that Mason's a great running back. Who's
- 14:19Speaker 1: got it, who's back up? They have another Juwan Jennings.
- 14:22Speaker 6: Yeah he was hurt last week.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He's actually pretty good dude. So, like they have better
- 14:27Speaker 1: depth than the Bucks do.
- 14:28Speaker 6: But the Bucks have to do something isn't that crazy
- 14:30Speaker 6: and one night their season is basically flipped.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that sucks, all right?
- 14:33Speaker 6: One more do the Jets need to win this week
- 14:35Speaker 6: in Foxborough at two and five?
- 14:37Speaker 1: I think they will win in Foxborough because Patriots suck.
- 14:40Speaker 1: But yeah, if they lose again and the next like
- 14:42Speaker 1: their four games are done, they're almost done. Now, They're
- 14:44Speaker 1: so close right now. It's their schedule is favorable. They
- 14:48Speaker 1: do have a favorable schedule.
- 14:49Speaker 9: But we have to win, Like, if we want to
- 14:51Speaker 9: win ten games, we got to win eight of the
- 14:52Speaker 9: next of our last ten games.
- 14:54Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 14:54Speaker 9: I mean, we'd have to go on a win streak that.
- 14:57Speaker 9: I mean, we've been watching the same team, right, So
- 14:59Speaker 9: I don't think.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I don't think they just I don't think they will,
- 15:03Speaker 1: but I think I'm a TUA coming back as well.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Like that makes that Dolphins game that much.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Harder to win, play them at all?
- 15:09Speaker 1: Yet I know that's that's two there. Yeah, I think
- 15:12Speaker 1: you win this week and keep the keep keep hope alive. Yeah,
- 15:15Speaker 1: if you don't win this week, Aaron Rodgers will probably
- 15:17Speaker 1: have I dropped a couple of balls, and like I
- 15:19Speaker 1: dropped more than a couple, but my high school football
- 15:21Speaker 1: paying career. When I drop a ball, I act like
- 15:22Speaker 1: I was hurt. Afterward, I'd be like, oh, your pride
- 15:25Speaker 1: was hurt. Oh yeah, like I'd like grab my shoulder
- 15:27Speaker 1: or something if I drop. That's what Aaron Rodgers are
- 15:29Speaker 1: gonna do, and he'll just end up being out for
- 15:31Speaker 1: the year. If they lose a couple more games, they'll
- 15:33Speaker 1: be like, oh my my Achilles is acting up again.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Uh so, yeah, the Jets have to win. Now I'm
- 15:38Speaker 1: kind of rooting for their demise. I wasn't, but now
- 15:39Speaker 1: I'm rooting for their demise. All right, that's a tittle tattle.
- 15:44Speaker 1: The tittle tattle? Are we gonna build a parlay? The
- 15:48Speaker 1: twenty five whistles parlay? Do we hit we didn't hit
- 15:51Speaker 1: last week? Right?
- 15:51Speaker 4: I miss?
- 15:53Speaker 1: I've never bet in Arkansas again?
- 15:54Speaker 2: Though.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Okay, all three of us will pick a game. Kevin,
- 15:59Speaker 1: you want to go first, Yeah, go ahead, let's do.
- 16:01Speaker 6: We just talked about them. Notre Dame minus thirteen at Navy.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Notre Dame minus thirteen at Navy. Okay, I like that.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I don't know that I would have picked it because
- 16:12Speaker 1: I don't like picking against America.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Just like to oh, I just against America.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Yeah, Eddie, we just talked about it, and yes, it's
- 16:20Speaker 5: a lot of points. So why are we leaving all
- 16:22Speaker 5: those points out there? Give me Illinois plus twenty one
- 16:25Speaker 5: right now.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like that seems like such easy
- 16:28Speaker 1: money that it's a sucker back.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Just sitting in the water waiting for me to buy it.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with Alabama minus sixteen and a half.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I like it against Missouri and Missouri lu Missouri's out
- 16:42Speaker 1: of the picture. If they look well, I find that
- 16:44Speaker 1: one of these teams lose, they're gonna be out of it.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I still think Alabama has a shot, but they've got
- 16:48Speaker 1: to win every game, including the SEC Championship now to
- 16:50Speaker 1: do it. But I'll take Alabama minus sixteen and a half.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And so those are the three. If you want to
- 16:54Speaker 1: ride with us, you can. If you want to take
- 16:56Speaker 1: the twenty five whistles Parlow, you can check out Draftking

- 17:35Speaker 1: coach Brett Bielima. Coach Bilima has a fight in a
- 17:37Speaker 1: line I ranked top twenty. He quietly wins every year.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Although he's not a quiet guy. He quietly wins every year.
- 17:43Speaker 1: They're playing Oregon, like we talked about earlier this week
- 17:45Speaker 1: in Eugene, it should be a great game. Coach Bilama
- 17:48Speaker 1: has been Big Ten Coach of the Year, has won
- 17:51Speaker 1: three Big Ten championships, and it's turned Illinois to an
- 17:54Speaker 1: actual winning program, which is super cool. I love him.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Here he is coach Brett Bielima. Hey, coach, now you
- 17:59Speaker 1: doing with friend a good? I want to first say
- 18:01Speaker 1: what probably everybody's been saying through those helmets were awesome, Coach, it.
- 18:05Speaker 8: Was the great pretty good.
- 18:06Speaker 1: It's the greatest helmet I've ever seen. And there's no
- 18:08Speaker 1: hyperbole here. I thought when they first popped up on
- 18:11Speaker 1: my feet, because I follow you, I thought they were
- 18:14Speaker 1: like decorative, commemorative you know, back in the day sports
- 18:17Speaker 1: illustration to that phone or something, the commemorative phone.
- 18:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I was like, those are really cool commemorative helmets. And
- 18:22Speaker 1: then when you wore them, I was like, those are
- 18:25Speaker 1: the sickest things I've ever seen. But fine, line, you
- 18:28Speaker 1: know you're taking a risk. How long ago did you
- 18:30Speaker 1: see those helmets?
- 18:31Speaker 4: Coach?
- 18:31Speaker 1: And you had to Okay, I'm right.
- 18:33Speaker 10: Yeah, we you know this whole thing truly, Bobby started
- 18:36Speaker 10: about three years ago, so obviously you knew the one
- 18:39Speaker 10: hundred years was coming. And in r D lobby to
- 18:42Speaker 10: get Michigan to come, that was one hundred years and
- 18:44Speaker 10: one day from the actual game, right nineteen twenty four,
- 18:47Speaker 10: so really cool. And then to our credit, Jake Ross,
- 18:51Speaker 10: who was my equipment manager at Arkansas, brought him here
- 18:55Speaker 10: and he's kind of actually my AD's kind of a
- 18:58Speaker 10: bougie guy.
- 18:59Speaker 8: Would come.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Was the.
- 19:01Speaker 10: Uniforms and stuff, and we found this guy in Nebraska,
- 19:08Speaker 10: a little small town he does this. He's one of
- 19:10Speaker 10: two guys in the entire country that does it. He's
- 19:12Speaker 10: actually a diehard Nebraska fan. We we went to him
- 19:16Speaker 10: and he kind of came up with the idea and
- 19:18Speaker 10: how hold did each kid each other take two hours?
- 19:21Speaker 8: Hours?
- 19:21Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:22Speaker 10: Yeah, and you know they're not cheap. But literally, one
- 19:28Speaker 10: of the officials came up to me before the game,
- 19:30Speaker 10: he goes, holy shit, coach. I went over and he
- 19:32Speaker 10: had to touch him because he thought they were leather.
- 19:34Speaker 10: You know, he literally thought they were leather. What was
- 19:37Speaker 10: really cool, which I didn't expect. You know, I saw
- 19:40Speaker 10: him and then we actually practiced in him two or
- 19:42Speaker 10: three times just because it was so freaking different. I
- 19:44Speaker 10: didn't want my quarterback to be freaked out about, like like, hey,
- 19:49Speaker 10: I'm throwing this different look.
- 19:50Speaker 8: Right, And then.
- 19:53Speaker 10: On TV they really truly looked like even more on
- 19:58Speaker 10: I thought more on TV than they did in person.
- 20:00Speaker 10: They truly looked old school. Did you see the beginning
- 20:03Speaker 10: of the I did CBS segment that was pretty cool.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It was awesome. Yeah, So I thought the whole experience
- 20:09Speaker 1: of the game, because you know, I have a personal
- 20:11Speaker 1: interest in rooting for you guys, and I like you,
- 20:14Speaker 1: and I followed the team now, and so I was
- 20:16Speaker 1: watching the game and I thought that you I wanted
- 20:17Speaker 1: to see if the uniforms really showed up on the
- 20:19Speaker 1: field because I had seen the and I was like,
- 20:21Speaker 1: let's see if they look good. And I was like,
- 20:22Speaker 1: oh my god, they're playing in leather and that's how
- 20:24Speaker 1: real they look too. But A plus, like your team
- 20:27Speaker 1: does you know? I like it when you know, send
- 20:30Speaker 1: my regards to the chefs, to the rest of your team, coach,
- 20:32Speaker 1: Like it really was a plus from somebody who's like
- 20:35Speaker 1: not part of the organization. A plus all the way. Okay,
- 20:38Speaker 1: A lot of stuff.
- 20:39Speaker 8: Are you man?
- 20:39Speaker 10: You're a married man now and holy shit, like like,
- 20:43Speaker 10: I mean, any visions of little ones dancing in.
- 20:46Speaker 8: Your head or anything?
- 20:48Speaker 1: Visions? Yeah, you know, we're getting there. You're okay, great question, coach,
- 20:52Speaker 1: because we will have kids eventually. My wife is a
- 20:54Speaker 1: lot younger than I am. You can you can relate. Yep,
- 20:58Speaker 1: what when you had your last kid, you were an
- 21:02Speaker 1: older dad, right, dude?
- 21:05Speaker 10: So Bobby, I met Jen when I was thirty thirty
- 21:08Speaker 10: eight thirty nine, got married at forty two.
- 21:11Speaker 8: She's fifteen years younger.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:14Speaker 10: So I had this brilliant idea when we got married
- 21:16Speaker 10: and you, I mean, you're a guy that likes to
- 21:18Speaker 10: have fun and you move around and travel. I said
- 21:20Speaker 10: to her, I'm like, hey, i've never been married, you've
- 21:23Speaker 10: never been married. Let's enjoy being married for five years, right.
- 21:26Speaker 10: And so I didn't have my first kid un till
- 21:28Speaker 10: I was forty seven, right, and which I absolutely love.
- 21:32Speaker 10: But you know, you know, I'm fifty four and I
- 21:36Speaker 10: got a five year old. So the only thing I
- 21:37Speaker 10: would say, I probably would have waited maybe one or
- 21:40Speaker 10: two and then jumped in just because it's so rewarding
- 21:44Speaker 10: and fun.
- 21:45Speaker 8: I wish I hadn't waited five years to do it.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where we are because I was thirty nine
- 21:49Speaker 1: when I met her. She's thirty, I guess, twelve years
- 21:52Speaker 1: younger than I am. And we were like, let's wait
- 21:54Speaker 1: five years. But now it's like, I don't want to
- 21:55Speaker 1: be seventy and like have a baby. So I don't know,
- 22:00Speaker 1: it looks like keeps you young.
- 22:01Speaker 3: You are good.
- 22:03Speaker 10: It's the best what it does, though, is it? It
- 22:06Speaker 10: brings you around a group of parents, right that, Like
- 22:08Speaker 10: I'm a lot older than most of the parents. Right,
- 22:11Speaker 10: it's kind of funny. But you know you're a cool
- 22:14Speaker 10: dad too.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Right, you're the dad older than all the other dads.
- 22:17Speaker 1: But he's also a head coach, that's true. And he
- 22:19Speaker 1: got all the free gear and you have all the
- 22:20Speaker 1: free gear. Everybody thinks you're cool.
- 22:22Speaker 3: I have a question.
- 22:23Speaker 10: So you'll love this somebody, because you're obviously a bigger personality.
- 22:30Speaker 10: Two home games ago, were on the field I might
- 22:34Speaker 10: have been, can't. I can't remember which game it was.
- 22:36Speaker 10: You know, everybody's on the field, and I have a
- 22:39Speaker 10: dB coach, Corey Parker, who good, young coach, awesome, and
- 22:44Speaker 10: he's got a daughter the same age as mind. I
- 22:46Speaker 10: knew they're in the same school, but I didn't know.
- 22:48Speaker 10: So we're standing there on the field, thousands of people
- 22:51Speaker 10: around us, and my daughter sees her buddy from class
- 22:55Speaker 10: and she goes crazy. They start like shaking and they're
- 22:59Speaker 10: hugging each other because they met on a football field.
- 23:02Speaker 10: But they didn't know that our dad, their dad's worked
- 23:04Speaker 10: for one another, right with each other, and it was
- 23:07Speaker 10: this purest moment of just this is my friend from school.
- 23:12Speaker 8: Dad meet my friend, and.
- 23:14Speaker 10: I'm like, oh, cool, and her dad and I are
- 23:16Speaker 10: just laughing because it was just just rats asked who
- 23:20Speaker 10: I am or who he is, Like, it's just you know,
- 23:23Speaker 10: that's our dad, and like, let's let's introduce it to
- 23:25Speaker 10: one another.
- 23:26Speaker 8: It was priceless.
- 23:27Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 23:27Speaker 8: Price.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Uh, we're playing Oregon, coach Ia. If you found it
- 23:31Speaker 1: to be more most effective to get your guys used
- 23:33Speaker 1: to loud cheering or music, because you've done this a while,
- 23:37Speaker 1: Like what's most effective in practice.
- 23:39Speaker 10: Still by far, just the crowd noise in the stadium,
- 23:41Speaker 10: you know, just just putting it out there. I mean today,
- 23:44Speaker 10: now what we do do here is I removed my
- 23:48Speaker 10: defensive coaches and players because I want it to be
- 23:51Speaker 10: so loud. You can't really conduct the practice for the
- 23:54Speaker 10: other side of the ball because on offense, when we
- 23:56Speaker 10: run to play, we crank it and then we'll turn
- 23:58Speaker 10: it down, you know, in between while we want to
- 24:01Speaker 10: correct it and then I'll crank it way back up.
- 24:02Speaker 10: So that's there and then a perspective, Bobby, like all
- 24:05Speaker 10: of us in life, we learned by our failures, right,
- 24:07Speaker 10: So this year we had a set back at Penn State.
- 24:10Speaker 10: It's our only loss of the year. We were in
- 24:12Speaker 10: a position to, you know, in my opinion, to do
- 24:14Speaker 10: very well in that game. And we had some moments
- 24:16Speaker 10: where where that environment caused us to misfire. And the
- 24:19Speaker 10: good news is that happened already. So now we've got
- 24:22Speaker 10: I think there's no better perspective than the past to
- 24:25Speaker 10: learn from. So it's been a really good moment for.
- 24:27Speaker 8: Us this year.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Is it ever so loud you cannot hear in the
- 24:30Speaker 1: in helmet communication?
- 24:32Speaker 8: It does? You know, it does get loud.
- 24:34Speaker 10: Now we actually not a lot of teams are using them,
- 24:37Speaker 10: but there's actually muffs that you can put on your
- 24:39Speaker 10: helmet that our quarterback. You'll see, our quarterback doesn't have
- 24:43Speaker 10: ear holes because we put a canceling device over his
- 24:46Speaker 10: ear hole. You'll see a lot of quarterbacks going like this,
- 24:49Speaker 10: that's because they don't have that device. But it really
- 24:52Speaker 10: for me, I've always wore double earmuffs. It's kind of
- 24:56Speaker 10: kind of like the movie Old School A cool Yeah, right,
- 25:02Speaker 10: Like I always wear double earmuffs because I just want
- 25:05Speaker 10: to hear the voices that I need to hear. But yeah,
- 25:08Speaker 10: for a quarterback, it definitely could be that way.
- 25:10Speaker 1: When you play organ I'm just gonna give your heads
- 25:11Speaker 1: up because I love you and they have a whole play.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I can't give you any details, but you're gonna see
- 25:16Speaker 1: them a hole to sign up with my face on it.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Coach.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I don't know if you've seen it. I don't know
- 25:19Speaker 1: if you've seen it, but they hold it's a big board.
- 25:22Speaker 10: I really don't look at. I don't know if you
- 25:23Speaker 10: know this, but most of those signs are complete.
- 25:26Speaker 2: You know what.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Yeah, as am I in general? Yes, it matches exactly.
- 25:30Speaker 1: But I'm just gonna tell you when you see what
- 25:33Speaker 1: I meant.
- 25:34Speaker 11: No, but it matches.
- 25:35Speaker 1: You know. I was with Coach Landing earlier this year
- 25:37Speaker 1: and they have a big old sign in my head
- 25:39Speaker 1: they hold up. So don't be intimidated, is all I
- 25:41Speaker 1: want to say. Don't be intimidated because it's me and
- 25:43Speaker 1: you know that. Like I'm a dog, I'm not. I'm
- 25:45Speaker 1: not coming for you, Coach, all right, I love it.
- 25:48Speaker 8: I love it, Coach.
- 25:49Speaker 5: This is probably a stupid question, but and you may
- 25:52Speaker 5: not know the answer, but some stadiums now they have
- 25:55Speaker 5: the technology of when they score or in the middle
- 25:58Speaker 5: of commercial break whatever, they can flicker the lights on
- 26:01Speaker 5: and off. Sometimes it gets a really dark. Have you
- 26:04Speaker 5: experienced anything where it gets really dark and you guys
- 26:06Speaker 5: can't see anything, Like people are like, where's my home?
- 26:07Speaker 5: And because it seems like it's a really dark out there.
- 26:09Speaker 10: Yeah, Nebraska does that. There are several stadiums now at
- 26:13Speaker 10: a certain point. Now it's obviously illegal during a moment
- 26:15Speaker 10: of play, but but yeah, it's it's kind of it's
- 26:20Speaker 10: a little different experience. And you know, Nebraska they had
- 26:22Speaker 10: a drone show, so we it was total darkness and blackness,
- 26:26Speaker 10: all right, So we've kind of been there, done that.
- 26:28Speaker 10: We won that one obviously, so so we've kind of
- 26:30Speaker 10: lived and experienced it on both sides.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Coach, what's all my like in the locker room? What
- 26:34Speaker 1: kind of leaders he?
- 26:36Speaker 8: You know what Bobby U.
- 26:38Speaker 10: First off, you know, his dad was a team doctor
- 26:40Speaker 10: in Missippi State, so he's been around college football his
- 26:43Speaker 10: whole life growing up, been around it, seen it, lived it.
- 26:48Speaker 10: So his his awareness to the to the world and
- 26:50Speaker 10: college football is really really high. His football IQ extremely
- 26:54Speaker 10: gifted the football awareness. He's also a tremendous kid of faith,
- 26:58Speaker 10: so like he's very phase driven. But it's not like
- 27:01Speaker 10: these guys that you know, come across preaching and teaching everything.
- 27:04Speaker 8: Like he's just a normal guy.
- 27:06Speaker 10: He's very empowering, but in a in a and he's
- 27:08Speaker 10: very deliberate in his relationships. He it's not a guy
- 27:11Speaker 10: that he's out in front screaming and you own like
- 27:13Speaker 10: some quarterbacks. Like, he's a very relationship driven guy and
- 27:17Speaker 10: just really exudes confidence that that carries over to every position.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I want to ask a really dumb question because I
- 27:23Speaker 1: just don't know the answer. Is there food at halftime
- 27:25Speaker 1: in the locker room?
- 27:26Speaker 4: A good question?
- 27:27Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yeah?
- 27:28Speaker 1: Like and how much did someone eat?
- 27:30Speaker 8: Well?
- 27:30Speaker 10: Even even going back to my time at Arkansas. You know,
- 27:33Speaker 10: so Ben Herbert, who was my strang coach there, we
- 27:35Speaker 10: kind of developed it when I was at Wisconsin. He's
- 27:38Speaker 10: not with the Chargers out there with Harball, but we
- 27:41Speaker 10: do a lot of PB and j's to do anything
- 27:42Speaker 10: that has a high high nutritional value to give energy.
- 27:45Speaker 8: You know, some kids just really don't want to eat
- 27:47Speaker 8: on game day.
- 27:48Speaker 10: So what we try to do is override any issues
- 27:51Speaker 10: we might have with with high high energy protein content
- 27:55Speaker 10: in shakes and and snacks. Right, So there's there's all
- 28:00Speaker 10: so a lot of gummies like good gummies, right, gummies
- 28:02Speaker 10: that are for the.
- 28:04Speaker 8: Purpose of nutrition and anything that can peak their performance.
- 28:09Speaker 10: We actually have a nutritional crew that will pre make
- 28:14Speaker 10: and set up maybe probably about half our roster at
- 28:17Speaker 10: halftime where they'll slam a shake that they pre ordered.
- 28:20Speaker 10: They love, and we just want to get calories in them.
- 28:22Speaker 10: So it's a it's a very specific thing. Yeah, it's
- 28:24Speaker 10: a lot different. Back when I was in school, we
- 28:27Speaker 10: had chicken broth that was our high heightened during the
- 28:31Speaker 10: cold games once in a while. But yeah, the nutrition
- 28:34Speaker 10: factor into performance is at a it's and I'm sure
- 28:37Speaker 10: it's not just going to continue to get better, but
- 28:38Speaker 10: it's at a high level now that that's the way.
- 28:41Speaker 10: I'm not exactly a walking dictionary of nutrition. So like
- 28:44Speaker 10: that that's in their world.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Coach, you fly off for your job, what kind of
- 28:48Speaker 4: flyer are you? You put headphones on, you listen to music,
- 28:50Speaker 4: you do work, you read, Like, what do you do
- 28:52Speaker 4: on a flight?
- 28:53Speaker 10: Yeah, you know, we got a pretty long flight going
- 28:55Speaker 10: out here to Oregon. So we'll actually practice Thursday morning
- 28:59Speaker 10: and leave Thursday afternoon, So I'll watch Thursday's practice. I
- 29:01Speaker 10: actually got to I don't know if you've seen them,
- 29:03Speaker 10: but it's the they are glasses that you plug into
- 29:06Speaker 10: your computer, and then they I don't have to be
- 29:08Speaker 10: looking down. I can lay back and s I had
- 29:11Speaker 10: the video and it's I got to remote in my hand.
- 29:14Speaker 8: I can watch that. It's just like I'm in front
- 29:16Speaker 8: of a big screen. It's it's.
- 29:17Speaker 10: I can read emails that way, I can read articles,
- 29:20Speaker 10: I can watch film. It's it's and now I usually
- 29:22Speaker 10: got a pair of headphones on. Listen to a little
- 29:25Speaker 10: little country, little little R and B, a little little reggae.
- 29:28Speaker 8: Kind of depends on the mood going to Oregon.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I mean, this is you've had every three weeks or so,
- 29:33Speaker 1: it feels like the biggest.
- 29:34Speaker 8: Game of the year.
- 29:34Speaker 4: It's not.
- 29:35Speaker 1: You guys have had a I would say, a very
- 29:37Speaker 1: difficult schedule. I don't know how do you I guess
- 29:40Speaker 1: the psychology of it. Before a big game or any game,
- 29:44Speaker 1: do you like your guys to be like right on
- 29:46Speaker 1: the edge, fired up or And we've had fighters that
- 29:48Speaker 1: we've talked to who will tell us they do not
- 29:50Speaker 1: like to be fired up because they're not thinking as
- 29:53Speaker 1: clearly that if they're calm, they're actually able to take
- 29:56Speaker 1: and navigate through their thoughts right. And there's a fine
- 29:58Speaker 1: line somewhere that's corre. Where do you stand on the
- 30:01Speaker 1: psychology of that going into a game or going into
- 30:03Speaker 1: a big game.
- 30:04Speaker 10: Well, I think first it's culturally based by what you
- 30:07Speaker 10: do kind of throughout the year, right, Like if you
- 30:09Speaker 10: try to go to uh, you know, the gate the
- 30:12Speaker 10: day of the game and try to figure the crew out,
- 30:14Speaker 10: you're going to have a long time coming, right, So
- 30:16Speaker 10: we try to get a pulse on this.
- 30:17Speaker 8: We build it.
- 30:18Speaker 10: I really call it that flip flop Friday. I kind
- 30:20Speaker 10: of relax on Fridays because I want to put our
- 30:22Speaker 10: guys at ease. I'm more comfortable, they're more comfortable, you know.
- 30:26Speaker 10: We do little things like we call we'll have a
- 30:29Speaker 10: lot of mandatory dinners, but we'll call it. We'll call
- 30:32Speaker 10: it mandatory flow, which means just kind of come and
- 30:34Speaker 10: go as you want. But then the last meal, we
- 30:36Speaker 10: have our last pregame meal, which is always fours out
- 30:39Speaker 10: four hours out before pre before the game. So if
- 30:42Speaker 10: we're playing at two o'clock, the meal is at ten o'clock,
- 30:44Speaker 10: we're at six o'clock, it's at two o'clock, and that
- 30:47Speaker 10: is everybody comes in mandatory seeded. We'll start off with
- 30:49Speaker 10: the prayer. You know, we have a regimented away we
- 30:53Speaker 10: eat just to kind of begin to lock them in,
- 30:56Speaker 10: you know now. But then they'll go to their rooms
- 30:58Speaker 10: and I'll say, hey, go call tech, FaceTime, whoever you
- 31:00Speaker 10: gotta do. Let's get it out of the way. So
- 31:02Speaker 10: when you come down here two and a half hours
- 31:04Speaker 10: before kickoff, we know what we're doing right, and then
- 31:07Speaker 10: we kind of a gradual transition to being ready to go.
- 31:11Speaker 10: I think game day is totally different, Bobby, than practice.
- 31:14Speaker 10: You know, in those moments, it's about it's not what happens,
- 31:17Speaker 10: it's how you react to what happens. So if you
- 31:19Speaker 10: have kids that are on edge because they think they're
- 31:22Speaker 10: going to be, you know, handled in a way that's
- 31:24Speaker 10: combative on game day, you're going to have usually a
- 31:26Speaker 10: bad result. So we're kind of a kind of a
- 31:29Speaker 10: in the moment's let's let's learn from the moment, but
- 31:31Speaker 10: move on.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Are you ever internally so emotional? But you're able to
- 31:36Speaker 1: have the thought I should not be outwardly emotional because
- 31:39Speaker 1: of how we'll make others feel. A react like a kicker?
- 31:42Speaker 1: Missus a kick?
- 31:43Speaker 4: Are you like mother?
- 31:44Speaker 1: But you've got to really dial it in and keep
- 31:46Speaker 1: it in.
- 31:48Speaker 8: So true story.
- 31:49Speaker 10: I think you evolve in time as you get older, right,
- 31:51Speaker 10: you learn more from your failures than your successes. But
- 31:54Speaker 10: I've always been a guy that really just believes the
- 31:57Speaker 10: teaching moments are all around us. It's just a matter
- 31:59Speaker 10: of what you want to teach, right, And I came
- 32:01Speaker 10: full circle. I was a young coach. I'm probably in
- 32:05Speaker 10: my second or third year. I've recruited a kid by
- 32:07Speaker 10: the name of James White, who's a running back out
- 32:09Speaker 10: of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauerdale, Florida. He went
- 32:11Speaker 10: on to play for the Patriots for about ten years,
- 32:14Speaker 10: won several Super Bowls. He was a true freshman, really
- 32:17Speaker 10: good player for US. And he was making a run
- 32:20Speaker 10: and he reached the ball across the end zone and
- 32:22Speaker 10: I got punched out and created a touchback scenario. And
- 32:27Speaker 10: I literally was on the headset and everybody was like,
- 32:29Speaker 10: you can't do that, and I heard I said, I
- 32:31Speaker 10: told everybody, hey, shut up, I'll handle this moment right.
- 32:34Speaker 10: And I went over and he was on the bench
- 32:37Speaker 10: and I just put my hand on his head and
- 32:39Speaker 10: I'd leaned down by his knee and I said, hey,
- 32:40Speaker 10: my friend, you are such a great player. You are
- 32:44Speaker 10: going to score so many touchdowns in this stadium and
- 32:47Speaker 10: in your career, and you'll play beyond here. But just know,
- 32:51Speaker 10: we're brought you here to run the ball, not reach
- 32:53Speaker 10: the ball.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 32:54Speaker 10: There's three occasions that you can reach the ball, fourth down,
- 32:57Speaker 10: two point plays in the end of game. Right, Otherwise
- 32:59Speaker 10: there are always staying and we'll play the next down.
- 33:02Speaker 10: And it came full circle his dad. I went on
- 33:07Speaker 10: to coach at the Patriots, and his dad told me
- 33:11Speaker 10: he watched it on TV. Right, And then lo and behold,
- 33:15Speaker 10: his dad was killed in a car accident like a
- 33:19Speaker 10: number of two years later, right, And I think about
- 33:22Speaker 10: the profound effect of that moment, that teaching moment with
- 33:27Speaker 10: that kid, to have a dad witness it on TV,
- 33:31Speaker 10: and the life lesson that was taught is truly why you.
- 33:34Speaker 8: Do this job.
- 33:35Speaker 1: At what point in your career, coach, did you realize
- 33:38Speaker 1: And I say this as someone who my high school
- 33:40Speaker 1: football coach, I didn't have a dad, was a big
- 33:42Speaker 1: part of my understanding of discipline, right, Like, because I
- 33:47Speaker 1: had no male influence, I had no At what point
- 33:49Speaker 1: in your career did you realize that you were going
- 33:51Speaker 1: to be that and that was a real responsibility for
- 33:53Speaker 1: a lot of these kids.
- 33:54Speaker 10: It's a great point. I say it all the time.
- 33:56Speaker 10: We do a little presentation when I have a kid
- 33:58Speaker 10: come in my office. So we've offered Scott to or
- 34:00Speaker 10: a visit. We talk about a timeline on this earth, right,
- 34:04Speaker 10: we all start at zero and average age goes to
- 34:07Speaker 10: seventy two. Hopefully we all go beyond that. But we
- 34:09Speaker 10: talk about during that window. You know, I usually get
- 34:12Speaker 10: a kid when he's eighteen years old, right, And if
- 34:14Speaker 10: you just do the math, that's a twenty You know,
- 34:17Speaker 10: twenty five percent of your seventy two year lifeline is
- 34:21Speaker 10: already done before I got you, Right, So I'm going
- 34:24Speaker 10: to get you from eighteen twenty one twenty two, And
- 34:26Speaker 10: during that four year window, it's the first time you're
- 34:29Speaker 10: out of your environment that you've known your whole life. Right,
- 34:32Speaker 10: Like whether it's a parent, an uncle, a coach, or grandpa,
- 34:36Speaker 10: I get everything right, like I have step parents, whatever
- 34:38Speaker 10: it is. And I always tell our kids, like, listen,
- 34:42Speaker 10: I don't want to be your dad, you already got one.
- 34:44Speaker 10: I don't want to be your uncle or your brother,
- 34:45Speaker 10: your cousin, your friend, or your high school coach. I
- 34:48Speaker 10: want to be the best college coach you could ever have, right,
- 34:50Speaker 10: And because of that, I'm going to at times sound
- 34:53Speaker 10: like a parent. I'm going to at times tell you
- 34:56Speaker 10: things you don't want to hear, right, And I would
- 34:58Speaker 10: tell you the more I tell you thing, especially if
- 35:01Speaker 10: you don't agree with him, it's because I love you,
- 35:03Speaker 10: not because I hate you. Too many people in this
- 35:05Speaker 10: world like try to tell them the things they want
- 35:07Speaker 10: to hear and avoid the things they need to hear.
- 35:10Speaker 10: So I think that's a really big part of coaching,
- 35:12Speaker 10: is you're going to sound like a parent a lot.
- 35:14Speaker 10: The good news is they're not right. But the part
- 35:18Speaker 10: that is real is that you can affect their life
- 35:20Speaker 10: for a long time, and probably in a time in
- 35:22Speaker 10: their life where they need it more than ever.
- 35:23Speaker 1: My final question is what makes Oregon difficult?
- 35:26Speaker 2: You know?
- 35:27Speaker 10: So we're going to play a team that in the
- 35:28Speaker 10: last you know, two years prior to this year, and
- 35:31Speaker 10: of course they're undefeated this year. They've only lost one
- 35:33Speaker 10: game at Oregon. Right, they got a stadium, an environment
- 35:35Speaker 10: that second to none.
- 35:36Speaker 8: You met Dan.
- 35:37Speaker 10: Dan's an incredibly talented coach. He really plays to his
- 35:40Speaker 10: player's strengths. And his team strengths. So for us to
- 35:43Speaker 10: go in that environment and have success, we've got to
- 35:45Speaker 10: be extremely detailed. We got to be ready for the
- 35:47Speaker 10: pace of the game. You know, they're calling for a
- 35:50Speaker 10: little bit of weather on Saturday, so you know how
- 35:52Speaker 10: that's going to factor into it plays a big part.
- 35:54Speaker 10: But they're just they're probably not only very talented, they
- 35:57Speaker 10: play with a lot of confidence. Right, If you have
- 36:00Speaker 10: a talented player that plays with confidence, you know, we
- 36:02Speaker 10: always say volume reflects confidence. That stadium is very loud
- 36:05Speaker 10: for one reason. They're very confident in their football team.
- 36:08Speaker 10: So it kind of all plays in there together. But
- 36:11Speaker 10: for us, like I said, you know, be at Penn State,
- 36:13Speaker 10: which is another arguably one of the best venues in
- 36:15Speaker 10: college football for volume, right, Like we've already had that
- 36:18Speaker 10: experience and hopefully good things will come Saturday.
- 36:20Speaker 1: One of my best friends is Brett Elder, just singer
- 36:24Speaker 1: Eddie and Brett.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Brett came back.
- 36:25Speaker 1: He goes say, you know, you know, coach beat them
- 36:27Speaker 1: with that guy's awesome, and so I message I was, like,
- 36:29Speaker 1: you've been hanging out with Brett is because Brett's big
- 36:31Speaker 1: Illinois guy. Brett, Brett loved you coach, he said, tell
- 36:34Speaker 1: you hello.
- 36:36Speaker 8: I appreciate man.
- 36:37Speaker 10: I had your man Justin Moore through here about a
- 36:38Speaker 10: month ago he did a concert, So it's good to.
- 36:41Speaker 8: Have some of you guys through. Yeah, coach, We're always welcome.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Man, Thank you, Thank you, coach. We love you, rooting
- 36:46Speaker 1: for you. But again, just don't be scared to see
- 36:47Speaker 1: my face. It doesn't mean it's a big play. I
- 36:49Speaker 1: can't tell you what the play is. I have integrity.
- 36:51Speaker 1: It's a big play.
- 36:52Speaker 10: I'll put your I'll pitch your picture up on the
- 36:54Speaker 10: team meetings so they're not shocked when.
- 36:56Speaker 8: They get over there.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Or he just matches it when they put me out
- 36:59Speaker 1: and they're like Illinois play. That's the same one to like,
- 37:01Speaker 1: battle it out, all right, coach, Good luck.
- 37:02Speaker 8: We love you, buddy, Bobby, Bobby, that'd be great. Take care.
- 37:07Speaker 1: I saw this tweet from Adam Rank and I liked
- 37:11Speaker 1: it and even responded to it, and I have kind
- 37:12Speaker 1: of a rule I don't respond on Twitter to people anymore.
- 37:14Speaker 1: I really wish the NFL didn't announce trades. And right
- 37:17Speaker 1: before the Chiefs were set to take the field for
- 37:19Speaker 1: their first offensive possession, DeAndre Hopkins music hits imagine the
- 37:24Speaker 1: pop like wrestling.
- 37:25Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Wouldn't that be awesome? Like, first of all, off, like
- 37:29Speaker 1: the big players, if you reach a certain status, you
- 37:31Speaker 1: got your own intro music. And like each team they
- 37:33Speaker 1: have five players pre game that gets intro music and
- 37:37Speaker 1: they come out like you have to make like the
- 37:38Speaker 1: team's top five and the team gets to decide. But
- 37:41Speaker 1: then you start to know their intro music, just like
- 37:43Speaker 1: in wrestling, and so you know DeAndre Hopkins intro music.
- 37:46Speaker 1: You would in my fantasy land and the Chiefs are
- 37:49Speaker 1: going on offense and the referee stops to play. Then
- 37:52Speaker 1: all of a sudden, the glass shatters like DeAndre Hopkins
- 37:56Speaker 1: comes walking out through the tunnel. The crowd has no idea.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I thought that was an excellent tweet.
- 38:01Speaker 4: That's pretty good.
- 38:01Speaker 1: That'd be awesome. Yeah, that would be awesome. Your kicker
- 38:05Speaker 1: Eddie has jury duty.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Yes, I saw that. Brandon Aufrey he's got to go
- 38:09Speaker 4: to court man.
- 38:10Speaker 1: So he's been he's been on jury duty this week
- 38:13Speaker 1: and at first I thought this is hilarious. If he
- 38:15Speaker 1: has to miss a game. He doesn't have a missing game,
- 38:16Speaker 1: No he does. I mean, we're not a question.
- 38:18Speaker 4: What's he got a practice for it.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Right, he's good, but he's been on the injury report
- 38:22Speaker 1: for non participant jury duty.
- 38:25Speaker 4: So is that NP JD.
- 38:27Speaker 3: I don't know how they do.
- 38:29Speaker 1: There, but they tried to get him out of Jerry duty.
- 38:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, man, it's an American privilege.
- 38:35Speaker 1: He missing practice Thursday and Friday, but the judge is
- 38:39Speaker 1: expected to work around the football schedule for the remainder
- 38:41Speaker 1: of the case.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I wonder what the case is. You ever been to JD? No,
- 38:45Speaker 4: I mean, knock knock on wood.
- 38:46Speaker 1: You have been called in to go be part of
- 38:48Speaker 1: the process. No, you don't get called in. You get
- 38:50Speaker 1: a letter in the mail.
- 38:51Speaker 5: Never gotten that letter, Never seen that I've gotten that letter?
- 38:53Speaker 5: Maybe I got Well that's problem too.
- 38:54Speaker 1: We don't check our mail anymore, or we don't look
- 38:56Speaker 1: at mail. For the most part. All my bills come digitally. Yeah,
- 39:00Speaker 1: I pay them out of.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Like have you?
- 39:01Speaker 4: Yeah, what does it look like?
- 39:02Speaker 2: Like?
- 39:03Speaker 4: Well, who does it come from?
- 39:03Speaker 1: You get a letter and it looks official. You think
- 39:06Speaker 1: you're you think it's a bill and it's from the government,
- 39:09Speaker 1: So you think, oh god, taxes. You think something bad.
- 39:11Speaker 1: You think something bad, and so you open it up
- 39:13Speaker 1: and it's like you have been you have to show
- 39:15Speaker 1: up at this date, and you're like, oh god dang.
- 39:17Speaker 1: It's on like a week day. It's like nine am,
- 39:19Speaker 1: and so obviously the show. I'm like, oh, I'm gonna
- 39:21Speaker 1: have to miss the show. And so the one we did,
- 39:24Speaker 1: I we recorded the day before and you go and
- 39:27Speaker 1: there's a room and there's like fifty chairs and there's
- 39:30Speaker 1: just people sitting all the fifty chairs and you just
- 39:32Speaker 1: sit there and eventually and I had a number and
- 39:35Speaker 1: they were like number twenty two, and a little bit
- 39:39Speaker 1: you're not wanting your number to get called because they
- 39:41Speaker 1: release people in this situation. If you didn't get called
- 39:44Speaker 1: by a lunch, you were released and you did your duty.
- 39:47Speaker 1: It was showing up, yeah, and it was like ten fifteen,
- 39:51Speaker 1: and I was like, well this. I was bored to death.
- 39:53Speaker 1: But I have my phone, I brought airpots.
- 39:54Speaker 8: I was good.
- 39:55Speaker 1: I just look at social media. And so they were like,
- 39:58Speaker 1: uh twenty two. I was like, oh god dang. So
- 40:01Speaker 1: then they walk you upstairs. They call like a whole group.
- 40:04Speaker 1: There's like fourteen of us and we're all together and
- 40:08Speaker 1: all of us hate life. And we don't hate each other,
- 40:11Speaker 1: but we can hate each other because we're bonding. We're
- 40:13Speaker 1: trauma bonding right now. None of us want to be here.
- 40:15Speaker 1: None of us wanted to get called. But we go
- 40:17Speaker 1: up and we get in the elevator and go up
- 40:19Speaker 1: to a floor, and then you walk into a really
- 40:21Speaker 1: nice courtroom like it was just like on TV. And
- 40:24Speaker 1: they sit us in the jury box, and they said
- 40:27Speaker 1: a few people in the front of the jury box
- 40:29Speaker 1: because there are too many people there for jury, for
- 40:31Speaker 1: the jury, because they're what they're doing is they're going
- 40:33Speaker 1: to eliminate jurors. It's like tryouts, Yeah, except you don't
- 40:36Speaker 1: want to make the team.
- 40:37Speaker 4: But the team is twelve mans.
- 40:38Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I don't know what the roster was.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Well, there's that book twelve angry Jeweler jurors.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Sure sure, I'm not sure. In this case it may
- 40:49Speaker 1: always be twelve. There were more than needed. And then
- 40:53Speaker 1: they bring in all the people. They brought in the
- 40:56Speaker 1: lawyers for both sides. Oh, and even the defense. It
- 40:59Speaker 1: was a dude who was being accused of beating up
- 41:05Speaker 1: somebody holding my gun point was like an assault and
- 41:07Speaker 1: deadly weapon. And so the judge starts asking people questions
- 41:11Speaker 1: like number twenty two is there any reason you could
- 41:13Speaker 1: not feel that you're a fair juror. And I'd always
- 41:17Speaker 1: heard the stupid stuff like just yell something racist and
- 41:20Speaker 1: I was never gonna do that. I was never going
- 41:22Speaker 1: to do that.
- 41:22Speaker 4: I want to do that.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't matter. So so I said, yes, there
- 41:29Speaker 1: is a reason I can. I don't feel comfortable being
- 41:30Speaker 1: on this jury. I'm very fortunate that it was an
- 41:35Speaker 1: assault with a gun charge. Oh this is true, and
- 41:38Speaker 1: he says why not? I said, I have been held
- 41:41Speaker 1: a gun point jump pistol whipped. I said, I feel
- 41:44Speaker 1: like there would be some some bias that exists, and
- 41:50Speaker 1: I don't feel like I could be I mean, I'll
- 41:51Speaker 1: probably be fine doing it, but I don't want to
- 41:52Speaker 1: be there.
- 41:53Speaker 4: No, this is a good one.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I know.
- 41:54Speaker 4: I know because you're not lying.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I'm not lying. I was like, I think i'm too
- 41:57Speaker 1: biased because of situations. He'sic, would you mind explaining the situation?
- 42:01Speaker 1: And I did, and he was like, you're free to go.
- 42:03Speaker 7: It did.
- 42:04Speaker 1: It was everything in me not to fist pump right then.
- 42:06Speaker 1: I wait until I got out the door. There was
- 42:09Speaker 1: not a lie told. I did not tell a lie.
- 42:14Speaker 1: And I think, who knows what would happened. Maybe there
- 42:16Speaker 1: was some bias in me.
- 42:17Speaker 4: Did the rest of the jury you hear any mumbling?
- 42:19Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, you liar.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Everybody was trying to get out of it.
- 42:22Speaker 6: Like, did you hear any racist stuff?
- 42:24Speaker 2: No?
- 42:26Speaker 1: I don't even know who said that. Maybe family guy.
- 42:28Speaker 6: No, it was a thing like growing up, really just
- 42:30Speaker 6: say some racist But I don't think.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Anybody ever really did. Somebody should try it, Yeah, no,
- 42:35Speaker 1: I wouldn't.
- 42:36Speaker 8: And he was right.
- 42:37Speaker 7: It's typically twelve based on the twelve Apostles.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Oh, that's why that's a twelve mane Joey.
- 42:42Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Yeah, So anyway, it'd be kind of cool to have
- 42:45Speaker 1: him as a fellow juror he gets to know him.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Yeah, Brandon Aubrey, Hey kick this, you do paper?
- 42:53Speaker 1: That's funny. All right, let's take a break here. The

- 44:21Speaker 1: so it was Me, Reid, Kickoff, Kevin and George Burge.
- 44:25Speaker 1: The country singer Eddie did not come.
- 44:28Speaker 4: Couldn't make it.
- 44:28Speaker 8: Man.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Hee had like, I don't know families moms in town.
- 44:32Speaker 6: Just mine. Oh dude, and I still want showed up.
- 44:36Speaker 4: Did you take her to pickleball?
- 44:37Speaker 2: No?
- 44:38Speaker 6: No, she just stayed at home with the dogs.
- 44:39Speaker 8: She's cool.
- 44:40Speaker 4: Okay, So she comes all the way across the country
- 44:42Speaker 4: to see you and you just left her with the dogs.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Some people see it like that, but some people see
- 44:46Speaker 1: somebody that wants to get in his pickleball's health. You
- 44:48Speaker 1: just stay alive longer.
- 44:49Speaker 6: Yeah, healthy, exactly.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I have a couple thoughts, and I think in our
- 44:53Speaker 1: ladder of pickleball playing there have been a couple of changes.
- 44:57Speaker 1: I think I'm barely still number one. I beat George
- 44:59Speaker 1: twice yesterday day.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Read him pretty.
- 45:01Speaker 6: I mean, he's not here to defend himself. But George would,
- 45:04Speaker 6: I think would agree that you George is really good.
- 45:07Speaker 6: You played really good.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Yes, George is really good. George is a former tennis player.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Like at number one in the city tennis player, he
- 45:12Speaker 1: plays like a tennis player, like he knows what he's doing. Yeah,
- 45:14Speaker 1: so we played a double elimination singles tournament. I did
- 45:18Speaker 1: be George twice. I'm still barely holding on to number one.
- 45:24Speaker 1: George's number two. But then it gets a little murky.
- 45:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to say, Kevin's better than Eddie.
- 45:29Speaker 4: Now show up.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I do want to play you that moment. I think
- 45:34Speaker 1: he's better than you know.
- 45:35Speaker 5: Okay, and I understand. I understand where you're coming from,
- 45:37Speaker 5: but I want to match to decide that. I know
- 45:40Speaker 5: your ranking is just based.
- 45:42Speaker 1: On but all the top twenty five, all those football
- 45:43Speaker 1: teams haven't played each other ready, right.
- 45:45Speaker 4: But when they do, you knock that person all the way.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I hear you, and when you do, you can. But
- 45:49Speaker 1: I'm saying, like they're ranked, it doesn't mean they've all
- 45:51Speaker 1: played each other to get that rank. They have to
- 45:52Speaker 1: somebody just has to go. I've seen him with my eyes.
- 45:54Speaker 1: We vote on it. So my vote is Kevin is
- 45:56Speaker 1: not number three.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 45:58Speaker 4: Do we play this season? Are we on the schedule?
- 46:00Speaker 1: You guys can play whatever you want. I just it's
- 46:02Speaker 1: one in the morning, and I hear.
- 46:05Speaker 4: I don't worry about us I do, I do.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I do think he's he's good, He's getting pretty good.
- 46:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm trying to figure out. I mean, not to
- 46:15Speaker 6: overthink it, but there's just ways to play. And Bobby
- 46:18Speaker 6: and George have that down like they send you all
- 46:20Speaker 6: over the court and I'm over here like they're like,
- 46:23Speaker 6: you're good. I'm like, and they're just chilling for sure.
- 46:26Speaker 1: We're just trying to get it over the net, like
- 46:29Speaker 1: Kevin's trying to developing little game at it four. You falling,
- 46:33Speaker 1: you have that, you have the red arrow before though
- 46:36Speaker 1: that's out of five? Where's reading five? I get me
- 46:39Speaker 1: out of here, man, I don't even want to be
- 46:40Speaker 1: in that list.
- 46:41Speaker 9: I'm in my own section.
- 46:43Speaker 4: Yeah, reads five stupid, but his service gotten betters.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Reid has potential to make stupid mistakes mentally. I'm gonna
- 46:51Speaker 1: tell you what Read's problem is, and I did. Reid
- 46:52Speaker 1: has no dog in him at all, like none, none.
- 46:57Speaker 1: As soon as times get tough, he just go this sucks.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I'm done, Yeah, because you're beating me yesterday he just
- 47:02Speaker 1: quit and then you got tired, and then I got
- 47:04Speaker 1: I think six in a row on you. Reid has
- 47:06Speaker 1: no dog in him, and we played doubles, and Reid
- 47:10Speaker 1: and I played Kevin and Georgia bat's every time. We
- 47:12Speaker 1: never we never won, Oh, because you had Read on
- 47:13Speaker 1: your team. I didn't say that, but I didn't win
- 47:15Speaker 1: all the singles matches. I had some good points, I know,
- 47:19Speaker 1: but you're playing with number one here and I didn't
- 47:21Speaker 1: say that, but I'm glad you did. And I tried
- 47:24Speaker 1: to handle Read both ways where I was like, you
- 47:27Speaker 1: can do it, man, I believe in you. I believe
- 47:28Speaker 1: in you. Didn't help and I was like, come on, dude,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you get didn't help. He doesn't have that dog in him.
- 47:32Speaker 1: He's a nice guy, the nice guy, not that competitive.
- 47:36Speaker 6: The best is when Reid would be like I got it,
- 47:37Speaker 6: and then he.
- 47:40Speaker 1: For it. He'd like, I got it, I got it,
- 47:42Speaker 1: and then not swinging to look at me.
- 47:43Speaker 3: I panted because you're right behind me and you're like,
- 47:45Speaker 3: and I'm.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Like, you just called it. So anyway, I just wanted
- 47:49Speaker 1: to say, I think Kevin is not number three overall
- 47:51Speaker 1: in the rankings.
- 47:52Speaker 4: Wow, until we play Week ten.
- 47:55Speaker 1: If Klug played enough.
- 47:58Speaker 3: You can't.
- 47:58Speaker 4: He's kind of man. He can't play well.
- 48:00Speaker 1: He has football injuries. Yes, I think Klug and Kevin
- 48:02Speaker 1: would battle it out pretty good.
- 48:04Speaker 6: That'd be fun.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Yeah, but then Eddie, you dropped down to.
- 48:06Speaker 4: Oh then we don't want that.
- 48:07Speaker 11: I don't want that.
- 48:08Speaker 1: You shouldn't keep him on the on the rankings list.
- 48:10Speaker 4: We just need to play every month.
- 48:13Speaker 1: We need to have a little tournament and redecide these rankings.
- 48:16Speaker 6: No, you're good, Yeah, that's what we need to know.
- 48:18Speaker 1: You're good, though. No, I'm no, I'm not good. You
- 48:20Speaker 1: have no dog and everyone loves you. You the nice
- 48:22Speaker 1: dog has awakened. No, it has not awakened you.
- 48:28Speaker 4: See you're laughing again. You're smiling.
- 48:30Speaker 1: No, like he just quits.
- 48:32Speaker 6: Yeah, Like I said, you were beating me a ship.
- 48:33Speaker 6: I was like danger. He just actually pretty good.
- 48:35Speaker 1: And then you were just done a little bit of adversity,
- 48:38Speaker 1: like one point to point. I just I don't even know. Well,
- 48:41Speaker 1: I guess I'll just give up.
- 48:43Speaker 6: It took like thirty minutes to get to three points.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Though, And that's okay, that's okay. We love you for
- 48:47Speaker 1: who you are. We look at me, we love you
- 48:49Speaker 1: for who you are. Want to be different, man, you don't,
- 48:51Speaker 1: but you don't have to be. You can be the
- 48:52Speaker 1: best at what. Having no dogging exactly. You are the
- 48:58Speaker 1: nicest guy of all of us here. You are the
- 49:00Speaker 1: absolute kindest, nicest guy you are.
- 49:02Speaker 4: You are a sweetheart.
- 49:03Speaker 1: You are sweetheart, a dumpling. You are a dumpling. Am
- 49:07Speaker 1: I going to defend my wife for that?
- 49:10Speaker 4: You're not come with your heart? Yeah, with your big heart.
- 49:13Speaker 1: You're not going to defend her. You just need to
- 49:15Speaker 1: accept that whoever wants he can have her.
- 49:17Speaker 4: What here comes the dog?
- 49:21Speaker 1: Well that's a good point. All right, We're gonna throw
- 49:25Speaker 1: to the Rich Eisen interview. This is us talking with
- 49:27Speaker 1: Rich Eisen. Rich Eisen from Sports Center, from the Rich
- 49:30Speaker 1: Eison Show, now from NFL Network. Here we are talking
- 49:33Speaker 1: with Rich Eisen. Okay, we're here with Rich Eisen, which
- 49:37Speaker 1: you know who. I was just talking to Ken Golden,
- 49:40Speaker 1: who is Golden Auctions. The Netflix show has every piece
- 49:44Speaker 1: of memorabilia, Yes, and like, I'm so intrigued.
- 49:47Speaker 3: What do you have that's really cool memorabilia? Why?
- 49:50Speaker 1: Well, you saw my studio, Like, what's your favorite one
- 49:54Speaker 1: piece that you won't leave in the studio because somebody
- 49:56Speaker 1: might steal it?
- 49:56Speaker 10: Oh?
- 49:56Speaker 3: No, everything is pretty much in my studio. But the
- 50:01Speaker 3: thing I love in my studio is because again it's
- 50:06Speaker 3: pop culture and it's movies. And I had the actor
- 50:11Speaker 3: Mark Harmon came on my show and I asked him
- 50:14Speaker 3: about the movie Stealing Home. If you ever saw that
- 50:17Speaker 3: movie where he plays a former baseball player and you know,
- 50:21Speaker 3: and it's about an unrequited love from high school and
- 50:24Speaker 3: things of that nature and later in life. And he
- 50:29Speaker 3: played a baseball player named Billy Wyatt, and he said
- 50:31Speaker 3: he only had two Billy Wyatt bats left and mailed
- 50:35Speaker 3: one to the studio and he autographed it. And the
- 50:38Speaker 3: actress from the movie is Jodie Foster. She came and
- 50:41Speaker 3: I had her son, and it's definitely one of one.
- 50:43Speaker 3: There's no other back quite like it. Probably not the
- 50:47Speaker 3: answer you were expecting from me, because I've never heard
- 50:50Speaker 3: of any of that stuff, but it's a it's a
- 50:52Speaker 3: sports movie that kind of goes under the radar, but
- 50:56Speaker 3: you know, just the general stuff that we are able
- 50:59Speaker 3: to create. There's a Believe sign that I got from
- 51:03Speaker 3: Apple as part of the promotion for ted Lasso, So
- 51:08Speaker 3: Jason Zadeka signed it. That's cool, and so did Coach Beard.
- 51:12Speaker 3: And then I had Sean Payton do it because you
- 51:14Speaker 3: mentioned ted Lasso and gave out biscuits to all the
- 51:17Speaker 3: reporters at his retirement press conference when he was with
- 51:21Speaker 3: the Saints, so I had him sign that. So those
- 51:25Speaker 3: are the things I love. I love memorabilia that you know,
- 51:29Speaker 3: you can create out of whole cloth because we're so
- 51:32Speaker 3: fortunate to do what we do for a living.
- 51:33Speaker 1: You know, an admission. I stole some I was gonna
- 51:36Speaker 1: tell you this last time. I stole some golf balls
- 51:38Speaker 1: from your show when I was doing five Finger Disco.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Well stealing maybe wasn't the worsd I think I do
- 51:42Speaker 1: have three of those.
- 51:42Speaker 3: First of all, i'd like to say this. I accepted.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Rewind Rich said if you're filling in, I would like
- 51:49Speaker 1: to pay you for your days, and I said, I
- 51:50Speaker 1: will not accept the money. So we donated the money
- 51:53Speaker 1: to an animal rescue and so we were all so.
- 51:56Speaker 1: But then I felt I was owed something right still,
- 52:00Speaker 1: so sure, So I was in your studio and I
- 52:02Speaker 1: was like, you know, I accepted nothing for this, and some.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Dogs got some lives, and Rich was paid for the
- 52:06Speaker 3: dogs to live.
- 52:06Speaker 2: So I.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Took a box of golf balls. There's a Rich eyes
- 52:11Speaker 1: that show. Yeah, yeah, I never quite admitted that to you.
- 52:13Speaker 1: But I felt like I that was my pay for it.
- 52:15Speaker 1: And now if you're missing them, that's where I haven't there.
- 52:18Speaker 3: I haven't missed them, but I'm glad to have them.
- 52:21Speaker 3: My only request for you to use them is to
- 52:24Speaker 3: hit them straight. I know I've lost all them except
- 52:26Speaker 3: for once leeve I love, and losing them is not
- 52:28Speaker 3: a bad thing either. I mean, golf balls are made
- 52:30Speaker 3: to be lost, at least for me. I just can't
- 52:32Speaker 3: have you hitting it out of bounds and in somebody's house,
- 52:36Speaker 3: you know what I mean. Like, So, whenever I use
- 52:38Speaker 3: these golf balls for you know, any golf hole that
- 52:43Speaker 3: is bordering the out of bounds fence of the golf
- 52:47Speaker 3: course and you can hit it into somebody's yard, I
- 52:50Speaker 3: will use another golf ball because I can't be hitting
- 52:54Speaker 3: that into somebody's front yard and maybe smashing a window
- 52:59Speaker 3: and then deny responsibility to Stephen A. Smith. Balls is
- 53:02Speaker 3: what I would use, then, Yeah, that's what I would do.
- 53:05Speaker 11: Have you ever hit anyone with a golf ball?
- 53:07Speaker 3: I have not. I have, Actually, this is an interesting story.
- 53:11Speaker 3: I have actually eviscerated a coat that was walking across
- 53:16Speaker 3: a fair like a bird. Yes, yes, I don't know that, Yeah,
- 53:19Speaker 3: it's a bird, sort of like I Randy Johnson that
- 53:21Speaker 3: thing with my golf ball. And the wild thing is
- 53:26Speaker 3: it was on a golf course that Wayne Gretzky is
- 53:29Speaker 3: playing on on that day and I met him. I
- 53:31Speaker 3: saw him at the I saw him at the driving range,
- 53:36Speaker 3: had a nice chat with him, chit chat. Then he
- 53:39Speaker 3: goes out to play. I go out to play. I
- 53:42Speaker 3: eviscerate this bird. Then I see him at the NHL
- 53:45Speaker 3: All Star Game like three weeks later in Colorado and
- 53:50Speaker 3: he's like ten rows away from me. He waves, he goes, hey,
- 53:53Speaker 3: what'd you shoot that day? And I always have to
- 53:57Speaker 3: be honest, I said, I shot him a one fifteen
- 54:01Speaker 3: and I killed a bird on twelve. And he kind
- 54:05Speaker 3: of looked at me like I was a weirdo, because
- 54:08Speaker 3: why would I share that with him in a public space,
- 54:13Speaker 3: shouting it out over twelve rows of civilians. But I did,
- 54:19Speaker 3: and there we always have that. You know, it removes
- 54:21Speaker 3: the one fifteen from the focus. Yes, right, it does.
- 54:25Speaker 8: It does.
- 54:26Speaker 3: So that to me, it's like I forgot about the
- 54:28Speaker 3: one fifteen fifteen. Yes I heard the one. I've twelve
- 54:32Speaker 3: killed a bird? Yes, yes, So there's that I've got
- 54:36Speaker 3: that going for me. What do you do in New York?
- 54:39Speaker 2: Like?
- 54:39Speaker 3: Not not here today? Like what do you like? What's
- 54:41Speaker 3: to do for you in New yor what do you
- 54:42Speaker 3: like about coming to New York. Well, I'm from Staten Island,
- 54:45Speaker 3: which is the fifth and forgotten borough of this wonderful city.
- 54:49Speaker 3: So every time I come here, I feel like I've
- 54:51Speaker 3: never left. Quite honestly, when I was on Sports Center,
- 54:55Speaker 3: I had a you know, as a a bachelor, I
- 54:59Speaker 3: had a spot on the Upper West Side that I
- 55:01Speaker 3: would come in and hang out whenever I wasn't on.
- 55:06Speaker 3: It was in Connecticut. So I I just have so
- 55:08Speaker 3: many great memories of growing up here and running around here.
- 55:12Speaker 3: But you know, I just walked Central Park for an
- 55:15Speaker 3: hour today like an old man sitting there feeding the birds,
- 55:18Speaker 3: like you know the ones? What am I? Ones? They
- 55:21Speaker 3: did not? Well, they killed their grandfather. They stayed out
- 55:23Speaker 3: of my way. I think, you know, I think it's
- 55:26Speaker 3: made its way throughout the bird the avian community, Bobby,
- 55:29Speaker 3: they know a legend to stay away from me. Man.
- 55:32Speaker 1: I you know, this morning and yesterday I don't really
- 55:36Speaker 1: fit in New York. And I and as a New Yorkers,
- 55:38Speaker 1: why I asked it about New York. Like, I was
- 55:40Speaker 1: at Starbucks this morning and I get I tipped a
- 55:43Speaker 1: guy a few bucks, and he's I think people think
- 55:45Speaker 1: I'm up to no good when I'm nice, naturally, because
- 55:50Speaker 1: I grew up in the South, and in the South
- 55:53Speaker 1: we are taught. It's not like I decided I wanted
- 55:55Speaker 1: to be this manor filled person. Yes, but we are
- 55:58Speaker 1: taught to have manners be kind. When I do that here,
- 56:01Speaker 1: people think I'm up to no good.
- 56:03Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I appreciate that. It does infer that
- 56:07Speaker 3: people who are from the city are not raised the
- 56:10Speaker 3: same way they're raised.
- 56:13Speaker 1: There's only a little bit of time to get where
- 56:15Speaker 1: you're going to do what you're doing, so there's no
- 56:18Speaker 1: extra time.
- 56:19Speaker 3: In the South.
- 56:19Speaker 1: That's like we got all the time. That's how our
- 56:22Speaker 1: words take so long to say. Right, So what should
- 56:25Speaker 1: I be meaner when I get here or maintained?
- 56:28Speaker 3: Bobby, you be yourself. Mad, You're you are, You're your
- 56:31Speaker 3: own fingerprint. Brother, Phil, you be yourself. Don't let don't
- 56:34Speaker 3: let the mean streets of New York City change who
- 56:37Speaker 3: you are. You just do I'm trying to change the
- 56:39Speaker 3: mean streets. That's never gonna happen. I know, you know,
- 56:42Speaker 3: we have we found.
- 56:44Speaker 11: The price tag.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, Oh yeah, sorry, there's one dollar to
- 56:50Speaker 1: sign this fans of the game, rich eyes and jets.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Yes, let me see. What do you want?
- 57:00Speaker 2: What do you?
- 57:00Speaker 3: Just sign it to me though, because I'm going to
- 57:03Speaker 3: I have a collection.
- 57:04Speaker 11: Rich Have you ever seen that card?
- 57:06Speaker 3: Yes?
- 57:06Speaker 8: I have.
- 57:07Speaker 3: I'm not a big fan of the photograph, but they
- 57:10Speaker 3: don't okay to photograph with you when you get a
- 57:12Speaker 3: card down, I don't know.
- 57:14Speaker 4: He doesn't remember if you did.
- 57:16Speaker 3: Okay.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I have a collection of cards signed by people who've
- 57:19Speaker 1: murdered birds unceremonious.
- 57:21Speaker 3: Yes, so this I told that this would be the one.
- 57:24Speaker 11: Hey, bones, it's personalized, he says to Bobby too.
- 57:26Speaker 3: But that's what I asked for. Yeah too. But you
- 57:30Speaker 3: don't have to write like a book or anything. All right,
- 57:32Speaker 3: he's war in peace, he says, Yes, thank you. There
- 57:36Speaker 3: we go.
- 57:36Speaker 1: But you can't talk. But you can't talk. You can't
- 57:39Speaker 1: toss it like that. Now it's a nine. It's not
- 57:43Speaker 1: even a ten anymore.
- 57:44Speaker 3: For ninety cents. Now, I've devalued it in every way,
- 57:47Speaker 3: shape and form.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Hey, my final real question for you is yeah, what's
- 57:52Speaker 1: will you write, like a really awesome book about your life?
- 57:56Speaker 3: I did write a book in two thousand and seven
- 57:58Speaker 3: about launching NFL Network.
- 58:00Speaker 1: That's not all I'm talking about, though, I'm talking about
- 58:02Speaker 1: the rich the I think you have a really great
- 58:05Speaker 1: story about.
- 58:08Speaker 3: Being able to modify but stay true to who you are.
- 58:13Speaker 3: I appreciate you saying that, but I've still got ways
- 58:16Speaker 3: to go right. Don't you usually write that when you're done? Yes,
- 58:20Speaker 3: small flex.
- 58:20Speaker 1: I wrote my first New York Times bestseller about my
- 58:23Speaker 1: life when I was like thirty two, and that's a
- 58:26Speaker 1: big flex.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Sorry, not small flex. Well, I mean New York Times
- 58:30Speaker 3: best selling number one. We have to say number one
- 58:32Speaker 3: New York tis New York Times. Your number one New
- 58:34Speaker 3: York Times bestseller is a flex. The super flex is
- 58:38Speaker 3: the my first. I have year old times. I do
- 58:43Speaker 3: have two. So when I wrote my first, you know
- 58:46Speaker 3: that's the big flex.
- 58:47Speaker 1: But what I want from you, though, is yes, after
- 58:51Speaker 1: this I feel substantial but limited time. We've got to
- 58:55Speaker 1: become friends because we have, like I your story, I
- 58:59Speaker 1: think so many people could take so many things from it,
- 59:02Speaker 1: more than just Rich Eisen who knows sports. But I
- 59:06Speaker 1: think you have a lot to offer in the I
- 59:08Speaker 1: have lived a life a certain way and learn these
- 59:10Speaker 1: certain things, Like I want that book, and that's what
- 59:12Speaker 1: I'm asking you to write.
- 59:13Speaker 3: Wow, all right, write this one down, and you're gonna write.
- 59:16Speaker 1: It for Bobby, even if it's only just to give
- 59:19Speaker 1: to me, Like I will read that's but it's said
- 59:22Speaker 1: of the golf balls.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Yes, I will not steal it. I will pay that
- 59:25Speaker 3: full nineteen ninety nine. It's better than the book you
- 59:28Speaker 3: stole my balls.
- 59:29Speaker 2: You know.
- 59:30Speaker 3: That could be a good one, though it could be.
- 59:31Speaker 3: I think that'll be my second. That's a digital, that's
- 59:34Speaker 3: a digital short it is second.
- 59:36Speaker 11: Do you have Bobby's phone number? I didn't know you
- 59:38Speaker 11: guys were such good friends.
- 59:39Speaker 3: Well, we we did meet each other again when he
- 59:43Speaker 3: he did my show for me last year and then
- 59:46Speaker 3: we met for the first time quite literally two Sundays
- 59:50Speaker 3: ago and have now seen each other three times two
- 59:53Speaker 3: weeks since then.
- 59:53Speaker 1: He's been over four times. We've had four s lumber parties.
- 59:56Speaker 3: It was like it's like a rush, I know, and
- 59:59Speaker 3: you know, now you get my sugar cereals for me
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: that I like so much. The next morning, excellent Rich
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: Eisen Show listen, watch like I do on road. It's
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: all I watch.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Thank you, sir, And I'm serious. I would love for
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you to write a book about your life.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: I think it's a great idea. I will make a
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: note of it. I know your agent. I'm gonna really,
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: he's already taking notes. Thank you.
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: Rich.
- 1:00:19Speaker 11: Would you ever fill in for the Bobby Bone Show?
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: Sure?
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: I mean he's done your show.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Right, that's true.
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: That is true.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: I don't know if I can wake up as early
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: as that's hard. That's the hard part. But that time
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: you wake up, oh wait, boy, it sucks. What time
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: you wake up? Well, I do wake up at that
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: hour twenty two Sundays in the year. But an everyday thing,
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: I don't know, brother.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: You know what I admire that I go. I don't know, brother,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: about you is how long you have to do on Sundays?
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: You have? That's all. That's a long one. And then
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: I am mandated to watch all the football games.
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: If you well, I'll tell you, because you know you're
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: an absencey dad, and then you know there's driving and
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: there's stuff you got.
- 1:00:59Speaker 11: To do, even the blowouts though good point.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: I mean, you don't know they're going to be blowout,
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: but you.
- 1:01:05Speaker 11: Watch like the first.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean every because the show that I do
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: every day, you know, I'm I'm supposed to know everything
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: that's just happened. So yeah, and then I'm not complaining,
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: but it is it isn't there are long days.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Ask him your one cowboy question. He has all the answers.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: He watched every game.
- 1:01:24Speaker 11: I mean, the big cowboy question is are they going
- 1:01:28Speaker 11: to do the super Bowl this year?
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: My god, that's what you asked. Yeah, I mean how
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: am I supposed to answer? What do you think?
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: Rich?
- 1:01:34Speaker 11: Honest question?
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: They have what they need, all right. I don't know
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: if they have the roster depth. I don't know what
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: all in strategy is going to pay off. I don't
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: know how people who are I don't know. Obviously, this
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: can all change in two weeks if everybody is signed
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: and that makes them happy and whatever, But I don't know.
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: I see deeper rosters just as talented as the Cowboys
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: across the landscape, and we'll see what happens.
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: You think Ezekiel Elliott's going to be a good running
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: back again for the Cowboys.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: So.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: Yes, the question is can he carry the full load.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: That might be him. Maybe. I mean, he hasn't you know,
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: put much you know, tread on the tires over the
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: last two years.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: He's only twenty nine, which is weird because you would
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: think he'd be like fifty four.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: I know, it feels like he's been around a long
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: time because of his college career. It's always worn the
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: little tank top. You know, by the way that he
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: is one of the few Dallas Cowboys who can say
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: that he won a title in that building. That's where
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: Ohio State won their national championship. Pardon me, the Ohio State.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: But yes, I don't. I don't believe ultimately you will
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: be happy. All right, Thanks, that's the way to answer
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: that question.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: That's good.
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: Thank you rich Eyson for your time. Welcome Bobby. I'll
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: be waiting for the book very patiently. Thanks Pole.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Okay, real quick, we can preview Boise he stated U,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: and I'll be that game is fine. That's a fine.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: That's one of the bigger games. Were But they're both
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: not ranked. But UNOV only has one loss, so Boise
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: State minus three and a half at UNLV. I am
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: rooting for you and LV because I love the coach there.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: So boys and State's really good and we had the
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: boys to day coach on as well. We did, But
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: I'm rooted for UNLV. I'm not getting about that game
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: too close to my heart. Nebraska, Ohio State. Ohio State
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: will probably stomp a hole in them. Notre Dame a Navy.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: We talked about that one. Illinois, Oregon, that's a good one. Missouri, Alabama.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: I expect Alabama to run them. Alabama's just been embarrassed. Yeah,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: like they're embarrassed. Not that their last loss was embarrassing,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: but they're embarrassed. They have two losses and the Vanderbilt
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: loss was bad. Even though vanderbilts my Texas this weekend. Yeah, Mike,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: you going will be there. How you feel about it?
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: I mean, I feel like they're gonna be angry towards US.
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: I think they could beat us because they beat Alabama.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Texas is minus eighteen and a half at Vandy.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: A rink.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Now they're ranked now, but yeah, yeah, you still feel
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: good about that. Would you bet that I would bet
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: that you bet Texas to cover? Yeah, I probably would
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: too most of that though, I only would though because
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: of the name Vanderbilt in the history of it.
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: It's just the fact that the offense looks so bad
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: last week. But I know it's an entirely different team.
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: But it's like, what if we still suck?
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: You know, sucks is Florida State, and they have sucked,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: they've continued to suck. But it's just wild. Like for
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: the same reason that I expect Bandy to lose just
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: their name, even though they've been playing well, I expect
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Florida State to win just from their name and even
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: though they've be playing terrible big school. But Miami is
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: a twenty one point favorite of Florida State. I bet
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: you Florida State plays I'm closer than they should.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: You think I think that every week they don't.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: It's not even by that. It's about Miami just escaping
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: every week, just by the hair of their chinny chin chin.
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: You like that, I like that. That's a little pigs,
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: big red root wolf little.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: Is it all? I thought?
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: So?
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: Little pigs, little red right.
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: Head and by the hair of my CHINNI yeah, blow
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: your house down.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna huff.
- 1:04:56Speaker 10: No, I don't know.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I don't know any I think you convinced me it's not.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I don't know why I went to three little pigs.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: What even know?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: The three little pigs?
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: What do they do? They build their houses? The wolf
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: comes and he blows.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: The wolves in both stories? Different stories.
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it's the same.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Is this a crossover?
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: Eddy?
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: Don't you have kids?
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: Help?
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: Two different stories?
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: But I'm confused now of my China Chin Chin is
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: the three little pigs with the houses? Okay, see, Eddie,
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: you screwed because the wolf comes and blows the house down.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: But you commits me otherwise.
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: But doesn't little red ridinghoods say like, oh, how big
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: fans you have, but not China Chin Chin.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: That's what I said.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: Okay, so what did the pigs say?
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: It comes down with my little chichin.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: This is like when full House.
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: That's the wolf coming to blow the house down, isn't it.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Anyway? I don't know, man, I bet you Miami wins By.
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: You know what, though, I got like just yelled at
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: yesterday because I wore my Florida state shirt and they're
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: just like, you guys suck.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: I'm like what, I didn't even know what he's talking about.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: You know, if you meant Mexicans Americans, Like, who knows?
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: Man, I didn't think it was the Races because you
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: didn't because I'm like kids a baseball game, So I
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: thought he's talking about kids baseball team.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: What are you talking about? No, you guys can't win
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: a football.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Game, got it? LSU at Texas A and M. That's
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: a big good one. What what they changing the Chin Mexicans?
- 1:06:13Speaker 8: What are you talking about?
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: You take offense racially and the guy was just talking
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: about your team and your team. NFL this weekend Eagles
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: at Bengals. Bengals need to keep winning. But if they
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: do Bengals in this game, they're kind of back in it. Yeah,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: they're kind of back.
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: In ITFC is pretty wide open.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Ravens minus eight and a half off the Browns. I
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: don't know, Jameis Wanzton could I'd be hilarious to the
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Browns start winning now. It'd be very It'd be very
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: funny to me if the Browns start winning games now
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: that de Shaun Watson not even playing with them, Get
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: that guy, and they beat the Ravens, who is probably
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: like the best team in the NFL right now. Titans
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: at Lions, Oh boy, yeah, the win by what forty?
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: The line is?
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: A guess?
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: Eddie, I mean it can't.
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: It's fifteen eleven. Gosh, that's crazy, and they're going to cover.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: That's what's crazy about.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: That Cardinals offense is two back this week? Or is
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: he just back practicing this week.
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: Practicing but not playing yet? Yeah, that's what surprising su
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: the line.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: Hey what how is this legal?
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: He's an adult, man. I understand there are also defensive
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: players that have way more concussions than Tua that are classified,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: but to is a quarterback and his and his high profile,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: so we just know that story more.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: That's a good point. I don't realize all the concussions
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: that happen.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: I've had two just this show alone. Really, and here
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I am walking out. I don't even have a guardian
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: cap on.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: Have you seen the dumb videos and TikTok of like
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: practice and he's looking at himself in the mirror.
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: To know who it is.
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: And like older movies, I have funny.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: It's not funny, but you're laughing hysterically. Jets are seven
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: point favorite of the Patriots, Falcons two and a half
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: point favorite at the Bucks. I probably load it up
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: on the Falcons there, man, Bucks, anything to the ball
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: to right again? I have to call him back. Yeah,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: the Falcons, it's right, Colton Texans Texas five point favorites.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: It's a Chargers, Charger seven point favorite. Bill's minus three
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: in Seattle. That's a long plane ride. I think about
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: that sometimes. It is very it does as far as
