- 0:59Speaker 2: So GM revealed that the company will offer thirty all
- 1:04Speaker 2: electric model vehicles by the middle of this decade. So
- 1:08Speaker 2: when I told you guys, the entire strategy of when
- 1:11Speaker 2: you're looking at at a space, a sector, you want
- 1:15Speaker 2: to invest in the top three and ideally get into.
- 1:17Speaker 3: The top two.
- 1:19Speaker 2: So if Tesla is the pre eminent leader and EV,
- 1:25Speaker 2: who would be second. And I've said for a while
- 1:27Speaker 2: now GM has been doing great things. Ford not so much.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Even though the Bronco looks a little bit impressive, I
- 1:36Speaker 2: can't lie about that. The management of Ford has not
- 1:40Speaker 2: been as great as GM in comparison.
- 1:43Speaker 3: So GM is going to have a stranglehold.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And if, like we said last year when we're talking
- 1:49Speaker 2: about the election, if Biden pushes this initiative for the
- 1:54Speaker 2: fleet of vehicles in the United States to be EV,
- 1:56Speaker 2: he's probably going to do the deal with GM and not.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Tesseling thoughts on sheep.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Normally I'll have a salacious take on this and be
- 2:05Speaker 2: like it's trash and it's gonna fall in these amount
- 2:07Speaker 2: of days. But the thing I will say that will
- 2:10Speaker 2: help you the most. And you guys have to realize, like,
- 2:13Speaker 2: if I'm an attacking an asset class, it doesn't mean
- 2:15Speaker 2: that I'm attacking you.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Because none of us own the asset.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Like I get so tired of us arguing about whether
- 2:23Speaker 2: indexes are better versus this versus that it's like you
- 2:26Speaker 2: don't own enough of the asset to even argue about it.
- 2:30Speaker 2: But the point I want to make is if you
- 2:32Speaker 2: want to make the most amount of money, and you
- 2:34Speaker 2: have a definitive thesis or idea about why you love
- 2:39Speaker 2: an asset, the best thing you can do, especially for
- 2:42Speaker 2: holly volatile stocks or currencies or coins, is to hold
- 2:47Speaker 2: them for a ten year period. If you do that,
- 2:50Speaker 2: you can hit some pretty amazing home runs. And then
- 2:52Speaker 2: maybe next week I'll show you guys, if you invested
- 2:55Speaker 2: a thousand dollars in bitcoin ten years ago what it
- 2:57Speaker 2: would be now and break that down versus a couple
- 2:59Speaker 2: different assas classes. But the best advice I can give
- 3:02Speaker 2: you is to hold it for ten years. Since bitcoin
- 3:07Speaker 2: is went to twenty eight thousand, has some change, Like
- 3:10Speaker 2: a call shout out to Kristen, we hit fifty six k.
- 3:14Speaker 2: So when we hit these ridiculously yearly lows, and a
- 3:19Speaker 2: great homework assignment for you, write this down every single
- 3:22Speaker 2: month over the last ten years. There is a percentage
- 3:26Speaker 2: drop that occurs in every currency, every asset class, same
- 3:31Speaker 2: with bitcoin. You probably should write down what they are
- 3:36Speaker 2: and if we have a deep drop based on those percentages.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So like let's say hypothetically not saying this is true,
- 3:41Speaker 2: but let's say Bitcoin tends to go down twenty two
- 3:44Speaker 2: percent in August on average over ten years, you should
- 3:47Speaker 2: set your entry at twenty two percent from the high
- 3:52Speaker 2: of that moment in August to be able to get
- 3:55Speaker 2: into a great place into the market and then get
- 3:58Speaker 2: some great games out of the market. And the number
- 4:00Speaker 2: one reason why investment is important because look at this.
- 4:03Speaker 2: In nineteen thirty two, twenty dollars will get you four
- 4:06Speaker 2: hundred and eighty two gallons of gas.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Now it will get you seven.
- 4:11Speaker 2: And if you're driving like a yukond Donali or you
- 4:14Speaker 2: know any any big suv, you know, twenty dollars isn't
- 4:17Speaker 2: going to stretch very far for you. Six hundred and
- 4:20Speaker 2: seventy five dozen eggs in nineteen thirty two, now you
- 4:24Speaker 2: only get ten, and then twenty seven hundred first class stamps.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Now it'll only get you forty. But most of you
- 4:31Speaker 2: are sending your messages via text and DM. Over the
- 4:35Speaker 2: last year, natural gas to shot up one hundred and
- 4:37Speaker 2: forty one percent. Heat and oil has won up one
- 4:40Speaker 2: hundred and twenty percent, Gasoline has one up ninety three percent,
- 4:43Speaker 2: coffee has won up ninety excuse me, seventy nine percent,
- 4:46Speaker 2: and lumbers went up twenty four percent. Remember when lumber
- 4:49Speaker 2: was going crazy and people was like stockpiling it, and
- 4:51Speaker 2: I told you, hey, this won't last forever.
- 4:53Speaker 3: But look at this.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Silver and gold silver negative eight percent, gold negative eight percent.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Gold and silver are not the hedges that everyone thinks
- 5:04Speaker 2: that they are, same as the bond market unless you're
- 5:07Speaker 2: much older, and even they're not gonna argue that investing
- 5:11Speaker 2: in indexes is a better way to go. But silver
- 5:14Speaker 2: and gold are not a hedge that you should partake
- 5:17Speaker 2: in if that's what you're truly looking for. Top performing
- 5:22Speaker 2: assets of this year Ethereum is up three hundred and
- 5:24Speaker 2: eighty three percent, Bitcoin is up ninety and Vida is
- 5:27Speaker 2: up fifty nine percent.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Google, which we probably.
- 5:31Speaker 4: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.

- 8:06Speaker 1: to Indeed dot com slash pod katz thirteen right now
- 8:12Speaker 1: and support our show by saying you heard about Indeed
- 8:14Speaker 1: on this podcast. Terms and conditions apply. Hiring Indeed is
- 8:19Speaker 1: all you need.
- 8:20Speaker 2: We'll talk about it enough, but it's up fifty seven percent.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Microsoft is up thirty two and Twitter is up thirteen percent,
- 8:30Speaker 2: Tesla only eleven. But like I said, next year, I
- 8:33Speaker 2: think Tesla's going to take off. As of February twenty twenty,
- 8:38Speaker 2: Cardowno is up two thy eight hundred and eighty percent.
- 8:41Speaker 2: And this is why I tell you, guys, if there
- 8:43Speaker 2: is something that you believe in, you have to hold
- 8:44Speaker 2: it because the more you trade an asset that has
- 8:49Speaker 2: the chance to go five or six thousand percent, that
- 8:52Speaker 2: time out of the market is going to cost you dearly.
- 8:54Speaker 2: You do not want to miss out on those moments, man.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And this is why I love that's in p. Five
- 8:59Speaker 2: hundred and why it's a primary anchor and what you
- 9:02Speaker 2: should be invested in. Listen, one percent, negative one percent
- 9:05Speaker 2: happens every year on average, negative five percent happens every
- 9:09Speaker 2: one point year is on average, negative fifteen percent happens
- 9:12Speaker 2: every two point five years, negative twenty percent happens every
- 9:16Speaker 2: four years on average, and negative thirty percent happens every
- 9:18Speaker 2: nine years. The growth, however, is so tremendous that when
- 9:23Speaker 2: the market is dropping like how it is now in
- 9:27Speaker 2: last month, when I told you guys, hey, September is
- 9:30Speaker 2: one of the months where the market bleeds down anyway February,
- 9:32Speaker 2: September and October. Write that down is when the market
- 9:36Speaker 2: has a tendency to drop. You should be elated. You
- 9:38Speaker 2: shouldn't be fearful. So if you're investing in the overall market,
- 9:42Speaker 2: you know these stats, it's to take a lot of
- 9:44Speaker 2: the fear out of the equation for you. And shout
- 9:52Speaker 2: out to my guy Tie, who's here with me right now.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But between Facebook ig going down, Twitch is source code
- 10:00Speaker 2: being put on a dark web and Southwest castling eighteen
- 10:03Speaker 2: hundred flights, Man, there's some tricky going on in the world,
- 10:07Speaker 2: and I don't know what it is. It reminds me
- 10:09Speaker 2: a lot of when COVID first started to have an
- 10:15Speaker 2: effect on the world and everyone was not announcing what
- 10:18Speaker 2: it was yet.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Please keep your eyes open.
- 10:21Speaker 2: And I know it's because part of it is because
- 10:25Speaker 2: people are protesting if they have to get the COVID shot.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I get that.
- 10:30Speaker 2: But when you have such a coordinated event or attack,
- 10:33Speaker 2: there is something deeper at play. Please be aware, Please
- 10:37Speaker 2: be wise, Please be patient. And I think last week
- 10:42Speaker 2: I saw this on Eyol's page and people were selling
- 10:46Speaker 2: talking about Tina Turner selling her catalog for fifty million,
- 10:49Speaker 2: and it was a mistake, and I wanted to put
- 10:51Speaker 2: this like for business reference, Like, we have to stop
- 10:55Speaker 2: throwing around these numbers as if this.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Is not a king's ransom in real life.
- 11:02Speaker 2: So, if you ever make fifty million dollars in your career,
- 11:05Speaker 2: which I hope all of you do, if you make
- 11:08Speaker 2: two hundred and eighty eight thousand dollars a year, you
- 11:11Speaker 2: have to realize that is your salary for one hundred
- 11:14Speaker 2: and seventy three years. And if you make one point
- 11:17Speaker 2: four million a year, that is your income or your
- 11:20Speaker 2: salary for thirty four years in advance. But off of
- 11:24Speaker 2: that fifty let's say, and I will, well, what's team
- 11:26Speaker 2: to turn.
- 11:26Speaker 3: In eighty two eighty four.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Let's say hypothetically she puts all of the money into
- 11:33Speaker 2: an index or safe ETF she can make five million
- 11:38Speaker 2: dollars a year of interest from deat alone. And we
- 11:42Speaker 2: have to realize, like, less than seven thousand black people
- 11:45Speaker 2: in history have had fifty million dollars of networth in
- 11:48Speaker 2: their possession. And let's be honest, I don't when's the
- 11:52Speaker 2: last time you played team to turn it on Spotify
- 11:55Speaker 2: or Apple? Like most people are quoting the domestic violence,
- 12:00Speaker 2: cake sing more than a song. So like, I know,
- 12:03Speaker 2: everyone wants a hot take and everybody's trying to make
- 12:06Speaker 2: their own podcasts in the comments.
- 12:07Speaker 3: But man, fifty.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Million is a lot of damn money, and congrats to
- 12:11Speaker 2: the queen for setting on a catalog for that much.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I know some people like TV rights and all the
- 12:15Speaker 2: back end she could have got one hundred. She probably
- 12:19Speaker 2: only God willing. Let's say she has thirty more years
- 12:21Speaker 2: to live. She wants to enjoy her life, and if
- 12:25Speaker 2: it is invested properly, there will be money on the
- 12:28Speaker 2: back end for her. My graduates from my school being
- 12:34Speaker 2: false backdrop bag drop, Mike drop, backdrop drop.
