- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So today we're talking about caring for your soul.
- 0:35This one for me is such an important piece of having a
- 0:41spiritual practice that works. It's caring for your soul.
- 0:46I can't express to you enough how I think this is one of the
- 0:50biggest factors that has to take place in this world that we live
- 0:53in based on the fact that this is such a, a tumultuous world,
- 1:00but it's all, it's forever shifting, forever changing.
- 1:03And what you think is certain is not certain.
- 1:05So for those of us who are certainty driven, the world
- 1:08gives us a big picture of uncertainty, uncertainty,
- 1:12uncertainty. So our job is to go and figure
- 1:15out how we can create certainty in a world filled with
- 1:19uncertainty. How do we do that?
- 1:21How do we make that happen? What are the specific things
- 1:25that we should be focusing on in order to make that happen and
- 1:29feel like we have certainty? And that's where this piece of
- 1:32the puzzle comes into play. That's where this is one of
- 1:36those things where I say nothing is more important than caring
- 1:39for your soul and making sure that every day you are
- 1:44recalibrated, re energized, rebalanced to go out into the
- 1:48world and do what you are supposed to do now.
- 1:51Part of what rebalances me, and I've said this all week long, is
- 1:56nature, nature, nature, nature, nature, nature.
- 1:58I can't stress enough how much nature for me as a rebalancer.
- 2:03Now, it's not for everybody. And I get that.
- 2:06Believe me, I get that because I know from my clients, they'll
- 2:09tell me, oh, you're so love, you love to go outside.
- 2:12You're just, you're that person. I'm not that person.
- 2:15Great. I know for some people, they
- 2:18might feel rebalanced when they go shopping.
- 2:20I am not that person. Be very clear.
- 2:24The last thing I want to do is head into a mall or a store.
- 2:27I don't like it, but you know what, it has to be done.
- 2:31You have to do it. But for them, that might be the
- 2:33way they rebalance. I, I can't stress enough the
- 2:38individuality of this. The individuality of this has to
- 2:42be the part we focus on. It has to be the part where you
- 2:46say what is right for me. And over the years I have
- 2:50grabbed, pulled, borrowed, however you want to look at it
- 2:53from other people. About what?
- 2:55What is the way I re energize my soul?
- 2:57What are the things that make me feel better?
- 3:00Getting my hands dirty is such a big thing for me.
- 3:03That is a way to just recalibrate myself quickly.
- 3:07Whether it's pencils, charcoal, painting, gardening, anything
- 3:12that's going to get my hands dirty, I'm going to be doing
- 3:15that because I know that is a very quick healing method for my
- 3:19soul. It is part of my practice and I
- 3:22understand that Even if I run out in the morning and I say,
- 3:25okay, I'm just going to go and do wedding.
- 3:28Imagine that wedding in the garden.
- 3:30It is exciting to me. One of the funny things that
- 3:33we're about to get a lot of rain and I thought to myself, oh,
- 3:37this is going to be so exciting. The wedding is going to be so
- 3:40much better. I'm going to, I'm like, I'm
- 3:42excited to go weed because it's been so hot.
- 3:45You can't weed and things are overgrown.
- 3:47But when it rains a lot, it's so much easier to weed.
- 3:51So for me, I look at that and I'm like in an absolute thrill,
- 3:55like glorious state because I can just run out and do it.
- 3:59And that to me, that excitement, that level of excitement, having
- 4:02the ability to do that, that makes me excited about the
- 4:06process of it. And it's spiritually healing.
- 4:08It's one of those things for me that's like, Oh my gosh, I just
- 4:12love it. It fills my soul.
- 4:13It fills my soul. So the real question you have to
- 4:16ask yourself is what fills your soul?
- 4:18What puts you in that place? My mother used to tell me that
- 4:22it always made her so happy and it made her feel so filled up
- 4:25when she made Afghans. She wouldn't, she would crochet
- 4:29and she would sit and crochet for hours.
- 4:31And I'd say, how can you just sit and do that for so long?
- 4:34And she's like, I don't know. It just fills my soul.
- 4:37It fills my fills me up. And I remember that.
- 4:39And I still have all of those Afghans that she made in my
- 4:44closet except for the ones that I've given to my daughter.
- 4:47And I look at them and I think that was the work of her soul.
- 4:51So the question is, what is the work of your soul?
- 4:53What fills your soul back up? What makes you feel just
- 4:57unbelievable? And you know, again, it can be
- 5:00small things. For me, taking pictures fills my
- 5:03soul. I love looking at them
- 5:04afterwards and saying, wow, that was a great shot.
- 5:07Or oh, look what I caught. Like it.
- 5:08It fills me up, it makes me smile, it gives me that oomph.
- 5:12So find that piece, find that fill up.
- 5:15What is that station you pull into for that pit stop to fill
- 5:19yourself up and make it happen? All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:23you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:25Bye.
