Erica: we are both here today. Yeah, we do. yeah, we're at my house this week. And w the office is working. That's a good way to put it. Good job, Jen. you wanna know what we live in Florida and it's always sunny and beautiful here. The weather has taken us down a north Jenn: Yep. And w the office is under construction. That's a good way to put it under construction. you wanna know what? We live in Florida and it's always sunny and beautiful here. Oof, the weather has taken us down a dark path. my god, it takes everything out of here. I actually have been fine. It doesn't really Erica: my god, it it like takes everything out of you, right? I actually have been fine. It doesn't really Jenn: bother me. But everybody I've talked to today is not well. Not well. I was not well today. The girls at my gym were saying it's gonna be like ten inches of rain. my god. This week. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Only what, fifty feet above sea level? I sounds great. I don't know the answer. I'm not a meteorologist. That's what I've heard. Yeah. Don't know. sounds great. Erica: But everybody I've talked to today isn't a slum. Not well. I was not well today. The girls at my gym are saying it's gonna be like ten inches of rain. my god, we're gonna be swimming. Florida is going to be an ocean. We're only what, fifty feet above sea level? Right? Fifty five? That's what I've heard. Yeah. Don't know. We need to we need to fact check great. yeah, you Jenn: yeah, you have you you you had a hard morning. Erica: You had a hard morning. I did. I did. I had my normal eight my soon-to-be eight-year-old normally sleeps till about eight nine. Sometimes he wakes up at 7.30. And he's always been like that. this morning it was at 520. Which is fine. I'm I you I wake up earlier than him, but when he Jenn: Had my normal eight my soon to be eight year old normally sleeps till about eight nine. Sometimes he wakes up at 7 30. Yeah. this morning it was at 5 20. Which is fine. I I every now and again it's earlier than him. But when he I was just one of those moments that you're like in a deep sleep and he kept waking me up and I kept falling back. Erica: It was just one of those moments you're like in a deep sleep and he kept waking me up and I kept falling back asleep. And I was like trying. my God. It's bad. I was exhausted. It was bad. Yeah, it was I was exhausted. You know what's crazy? So we Jen and I both went to the gym this morning and I'm like I'm on the leg press machine and I'm looking at a lady and she's like slowly biking on the machine. And I was watching her and I'm like Jenn: sleep and I was like trying it's like lucid dreams. It's it's bad. I had I had a morning like that last week. It was bad. Yeah, it was really bad. you know what's crazy? So we Jen and I both went to the gym this morning and I'm like I'm on the light press machine and I'm looking at a lady and she's like slowly biking on the machine and I was watching her. I'm like she's on a bike though, right? Okay. huh. And I was so Erica: On a bike, but she's when I tell you so slow, she's older. And I was so proud Jenn: proud of her. Uh-huh. Because I'm like, it didn't matter how slow she was moving. I was so moving her body. and then in that moment I thought of like, it doesn't matter what stage you are in the gym. Every stage is hard. Mm-hmm. And you and it You could be doing the same exact routine that you've Erica: of her because I'm like, it didn't matter how slow she was moving. I was so proud that she was and then in that moment I thought I'm like, it doesn't matter what stage you are in the gym, every stage is hard. And you and it the hard the same exact routine. A hundred percent. Jenn: done a hundred times and it can be hard. And hard gets easy because then you're like Sure. Because then you're like, okay, I could lift more weights. Yep. But then you're still Erica: And hard gets easy because then you're like because then you're like, okay, I can lift more weights. But then you're still going hard. Man, it's really a choice though. I was like it was a lot going I was like like to be consistent. And if you're there, just just I'm so proud of you. You just need to stay and stay consistent and as if even if you're walking with your three pound weights, just do it. Like it is so good for your body to move. any just Jenn: Going hard. Yep. Man, it's really a choice though. I was like, it is. It is a choice to be consistent about anything. And if you're there, just just I'm so browdy. You just need to stay and stay consistent. Yes. Even if you're walking with your three pound weight, just do it. Like so good. But again, anything. It doesn't have to be gym related. It it's literally just Erica: Ten minutes, 15 minutes after a meal, like walk around your block. it's anything. Yeah. Staying consistent My grandmother Jenn: ten minutes, fifteen minutes after a meal, like walk around your block. yeah. Staying consistent. Erica: I remember she used to sit in her like rocking chair with cans of food. Listen, Why? I know. Women were going to the gym in the s 60s, 70s, 80s. I mean, it just I I do you see that they were doing it, it was all cardio, it was like aerobic. I know. Jenn: I remember she used to sit in her like rocking chair with cans of food. Okay. Listen, what women were going to the gym in the s sixties, seventies, eighties. I mean, it just I I if they were doing it, it was all cardio. It was like aerobics or yeah, Erica: So if you have been falling along with us, you have seen some random videos of some house that has been disorganized. And Jen is going through the it is Jen's house. She is going through the process of cleaning, not cleaning up, well. Jenn: So if you've been following along with us, you've seen some random videos of some house that has been disorganized and yes. My house is going through the it is Jen's house. It's my house. Well, yes. Cleaning out the closets, Erica: Yes, cleaning out the closets, but she is redoing her closets. Which is great. Love Jenn: but she is redoing her completely redoing the closets. When we moved in in 2018, we essentially gutted and redid our entire house. Which is great. Love it. We didn't do the closets. We just did regular go to Lowe's, get the closet made stuff and put it up and call it done because you know, you s you do a whole home renovation and you're like, I don't think I can go Erica: it. We didn't do the closets, we just did regular go to Lowe's, get the closet made stuff and put it up and call it done because you know, you do You're already doing the entire house, yeah. And you're like, I don't think I could go Jenn: down that path right now. So yeah, that's where we're at. we tomorrow, tomorrow's the day. So today's Tuesday. This will come out Thursday. Wednesday, we're having closets installed. They're they're gonna do a two day process for us. Erica: So yeah, that's where we're at. we tomorrow. Tomorrow's the day. So today's Tuesday. This will come out Thursday. Wednesday, we're having closets installed. They're they're gonna do a two-day process for us. but we had somebody come yesterday, Monday, to demo everything out for us and patch and paint. nice. Which is great. Yeah. Smells like fresh paint, lovely. Jenn: but we had somebody come yesterday, Monday, to demo everything out for us and patch and paint. Which is great. Smells like fresh paint. Love that. and but meanwhile, my entire closet is living in our guest room slash game room slash kind of catch all. Erica: And but meanwhile, my entire closet is living in our guest room slash game room slash kind of Erica's sleeping room. Yeah, Erica's sleeping room. Yeah. And she comes over to stay. and so it's it's interesting. Everything's in there. That's why I am in complete bum well, the weather and just not being able to find anything right now. Jenn: Yeah, Erica's sleeping room when she comes over to stay. and so it's it's interesting. Everything's in there. That's why I am in complete bum well, the weather and just not being able to find anything right now. I'm in bum mode. I've got a old navy white tank. Love those though and my comfy pants today. Erica: it's the worst. Love those though. You know it's my OG. My comfy pants today. Because that's just what we gotta do. But you wonder what the word it when you go, like I have you Jen is a very organized person. I'm very tight back. And I I've always been this way. I am Jenn: 'Cause that's just what we gotta do. But you wanna have the word when you go like I have you Jen is a very organized person. I'm very type A, yes. And I And I've always been this way. I am Erica: organized, but sometimes there are times many times I get disorganized and it takes me a little bit to get back organized. Jenn: Organized and it takes me a little bit to get back organized. I feel like you stay organized. I do because I think about my future self all the time. And I tell my my future self, I'm like, your future self would want this to just be taken care of. So I just do it in the moment rather than procrastinating. That's not to say that I don't sometimes procrastinate. We all have the the the big load of laundry that we've just Erica: I feel like you stay organized. I do because I think about my future self all the time. Yeah, I do too. So it doesn't work. My future self, I'm like, your future self would want this to just be taken care of. Yeah. So I just do it in the moment rather than procrastinating. Yeah. That's not to say that I don't sometimes procrastinate. Yeah. We all have the the the big load of laundry that we just put in the dryer and then we Jenn: Put in the dryer and then we keep adding things to the dryer over time. And now it's five, five loads of laundry in the dryer. And now it's like, no, we have six loads of laundry in the one dryer and it all has to come out and get folded. And it's like, my. I we we went above and beyond when we got this dryer. We made sure it was the the giant capacity one. Yes. Yes. that's. Erica: Adding things to the dryer over time. Five loads of laundry the old navy tank got dried six times. And now it's like, no, we have six loads of laundry in the one dryer and it all has to come out and get pulled and it's my god, your dryer fits it's loads of laundry. I we we went above and beyond when we got this dryer. I got the giant capacity one. Yes. Jeez. that's so you can wash your comforter. Yes, that too. Okay. Jenn: Yes, that too. Okay. Yeah. So I have had 'cause I don't like taking things to a laundromat. No offense to laundromats, but I ain't I don't won't do I know Danny does take Danny takes out rugs to the laundromat. Honestly, I get it, but that's part of why I don't want to go there because I'm like everybody's rugs are being washed. That too. A wash and fold situation sounds good though. Erica: So I have had I don't like taking things to a laundry mat. I've no things to laundry mats, but I ain't I don't want to it. I know Danny does take Danny takes our rugs to the laundry mat actually. Honestly I get it. But that's part of why I don't want to go there. Yeah. Like everybody's rugs. Well, and you have to wait there. It's a thing. I fold situation sounds good though. It's the folding and putting away parts that that's the worst. I know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Jenn: It's the folding and putting away parts that that's the worst. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Erica: I have had quite a big pile that I need to organize in my closet. And it's just now I'm at the point of like I when you get to the point you ca just can't find anything. Yeah. Not that n it's not laundry that I need to put away. What's just stuff that you have to put away. Well, like when I was packing, I was pulling everything down. No, I Jenn: to organize in my closet. And it's just now I'm at the point where like I when you get to the point you just can't find anything. Yeah. Yeah. Not that it's not laundry that I need to put away. It's just stuff that you haven't put away. Well, like when I was packing, I was pulling everything down. So you still have stuff from the trip left over? No, Erica: No, that's the funny thing. So when I do my laundry, I put everything away. And when I unpacked, I put everything away. But it's just the stuff that I like pull down, I'm like, I don't want to wear this, so I just lay it. It Jenn: that's the funny thing. So when I do my laundry, I put everything away. And when I unpacked, I put everything away. Okay. But it's just the stuff that I like pulled down. I'm like, I don't want to wear this, so I just lay it. It they're all nicely laid. Okay. But they're just late. And what's the what's the thought process behind that? I because I'm always in a rush when I'm laying and I don't have time to put it hang it back up. Okay. And now it's gotten so big that I'm just overwhelmed. So you just have to do it. Erica: they're all nicely laid. Okay. But they're just laid. And what's very big. What's the thought that? I because I'm always in a rush when I'm laying it down and I don't have time to put it hang it back up. And now it's gone so big that I'm just overwhelmed. So you just have to do it. huh. Jenn: Okay. Yeah. One day. Put on put on a podcast, put on your your music and just knock it out, girl. And then next time think about your future self. Yeah. I'm gonna try. Okay. Erica: Yeah, one day. Put on put on a podcast, put on your your music and just knock it out, girl. And then next time think about your future self. Yeah. I'm gonna try. I already yell at myself when I'm at the gym. I can't I can't be too mean to myself. No more no more. Jenn: I already yelled at myself in my genetic. No, no more, no more negative self-talk. We've got enough of that. so we have launched our Erica Jen page. We have, yes. follow it. It is just honestly, it's just Jen. It's just Erica and Jen. Yes. On Instagram. And it is just our everyday life. Like we can't bring Erica: So we have launched our Erica and Jen page. We have. Yeah. you're welcome to go follow it. It is just honestly, it's just Jen and I. Erica and Jen. Yes, is the Instagram name. And it is just our everyday life. Like we can't put it on the podcast page. So we wanted to keep the podcast page podcast. Yeah. So if you want shenanigans, and we'll still post to our stories, but if you want more shenanigans, to that. Jenn: podcast page. Well, we wanted to keep the podcast page a dedicated podcast. So if you want shenanigans, and we'll still post to our stories, but if you want more shenanigans, you can go to that. If you want the real behind the scenes of Eric Jen, why did you why is it Erica and Jen? Because it's alphabetical. Uh-huh. Where's that from? Teacher? Yeah. I can't handle it not being that way. She's like because it's alphabetical work. Erica: If you want the real behind the scenes of Erica and Jen. Jen, why did you why is it Erica and Jen? Because it's alphabetical. Uh-huh. Where's that from? Teacher? Okay. I can't handle it without being that way. I was like, why am I first? She's like, 'Cause it's alphabetical order. Jenn: my children's names are in alphabetical order. The oldest one starts with an earlier letter. boy. boy. And we're here. And we're here. The O C D runs deep. Erica: my god. With an earlier letter. boy. boy. And we're here. And we're here. The OCB runs deep. I can see that. my god. But yeah, that's definitely possible. Jenn: But yeah, that's definitely probably prior teacher and just Erica: God, I have D B What's that? I have D BM. Jenn: Can't help it. What's that? Uh-huh. Okay. I don't even know what you're talking about. They were my kids' first names. yeah. Jesus Jen. Stick. Stick it. I was like, wait, what? Okay. DB like Dave Matthews band? DMB No I was like, that's DMB. It's I know. It's reversed. We were Erica: I wasn't a teacher. They're my kids' first names. D B and Jesus, Jen. Stay. Stick with it. I was like, wait, what? All right. DB like Dave Matthews band? DMB. I was like, that's that's Dave Matthews band. That's DMB. That's we went from going alphabetical order to Dave Matthew band. That was it. Jenn: from going out but forward and date now. I was like, wait, what? Erica: my God. Jenn: So I wake up this morning and for some reason okay, let me just backtrack real quick. We have a retention pond in backyard and Erica: So I wake up this morning and for some reason okay, let me just back to her cool quick. We have a retention pond in our bac yard and Jenn: when it rains we get Erica: When it rains, we get tons, thousands, billions of frogs. They come up from underneath the ground. And the reason I know this because I deep researched it this morning why I have frogs, and they are so loud, cricketing in the at night in the back. Come this all come to say. I let my dogs out last night and my golden retriever must have been excited. You know, I don't know what she did. Jenn: Tons, thousands, billions of frogs. they come up from underneath the ground. And the reason I know this is because I deep researched it this morning why I have frogs and they are so loud cricketing in the at night in the back. Come this all come to say. I let my dogs out last night and my golden retriever must have been excited. You know. I don't know what she did. I'm sweating right now with this story, just as an FYI. I'm afraid of frogs. Yeah. I'm petrified of frogs. Yeah. Erica: Okay. I'm afraid of frogs. Yeah. I'm petrified of frogs. Yeah. So I'm there's no reason why. So I wake up this morning and I'm already like discombobulated. My eight year old is like, Nala smells. Nala's my golden retriever. And my husband's like, yeah. And I'm like, I can't smell anything. I don't know. And then so he's like, We have to give her a bath. Okay. Now this is going on. I'm on my couch staring at my Lanai that has the frogs all over the screen. Jenn: So I there's no reason why. So I wake up this morning and I'm already like discomfobulated. My eight-year-old is like Nala smells, Nala's my golden retriever. And my husband's like, yeah, I'm like, I can't smell anything. I don't know. And then so he's like, we have to give her a bath. Okay. Okay. Now this is going on. I'm on my couch staring at my Lanai that has the frogs all over the screen. And I'm like, nobody's allowed outside. Erica: And I'm like, nobody's allowed outside. Nobody know Jenn: Anybody not from Florida and doesn't know what Elenaeus is a screened back porch. Just okay. I'm like, nobody's going outside no one's allowed to open the doors. No, because the frogs will come in. So my husband is going to watch wash the dog at six thirty, seven AM. Okay. This morning. This morning. Okay. Okay. It's raining out. Yeah. And it's a golden retriever, so we can't wash her in the house because I don't want the hair going. That'll just yes. Yes. Yeah. So anyways. I'm like, okay, why don't you bring her outside? Obviously she's Erica: Yes. I'm like, nobody's going outside. No one's allowed to open the doors. No, because the frogs will come in. Yeah. So my husband is going to wash wash the dog at six thirty, seven AM. Okay. This morning. This morning. Okay. It's raining now. Yep. And it's a golden retriever, so we can't wash her in the house because I don't want the hair going down the drain. Right. Yes. And even yeah. So anyways. I'm like, okay, why don't you bring her outside? Obviously she's a golden retriever, so she loves water. So I'm like, bring her outside with the hose. Jenn: So she loves water. So I'm like, bring outside with the hose. And he's like, the hose is in the backyard. He's like, why don't I just do it back there? I said, absolutely not. I was like, there's frogs, there's it ground dirt equals mud. Right. Like, you're gonna be washing her, you're gonna be muddy, eight-year-old's gonna be muddy, gold roach. This is and then it's a pointless task. Okay. So I'm like, just take the hose that's end of like a wheel-y thing, so it's pretty heavy. I'm like, just take the hose and put it on in the front. Erica: And he's like, the hose is in the backyard. He's like, why don't I just do it back there? I said, absolutely not. I was like, there's frogs, there's it ground dirt with water equals mud. So I'm like, you're gonna be washing her, you're gonna be muddy, eight-year-old's gonna be muddy, golden routine. This is a crapshoot. Great. So I'm like, just take the hose that's in like a wheelie thing. So it's pretty heavy. I'm like, just take the hose and put it on in the front on the concrete, because I have to water my flowers anyway. Take the hose from the back that just one screw. Jenn: On the concrete because I have to walk my flowers anyway. Take the hose from the back and just unscrew it and put it on the other hose, bib. Unscrew it. Right. Take it, and you walk to the front of the house. Right. Okay. He's like, No, that's just too much work. He's like, I'm going to take the dog up to our neighborhood pool. No. No. And give her a bath under the shower and then put her in the neighborhood pool. For why? Erica: On the other hose bit. Unscrew it. Right. Take it and you walk to the front of the house, put it down. Okay. He's like, no, that's just too much work. He's like, I'm going to take the dog up to our neighborhood pool. No. And give her a bath under the shower and then put her in the neighborhood pool. For why? So wait, it gets better. He takes my eight year old, drives the truck down his truck. Jenn: It gets better. He takes my A rope, drives the truck down his truck to the neighborhood pool. Washes Nala at this this is his mind frame. Washes 'cause he didn't want to unscrew the house. Yeah. Okay. Washes Nala at the pool. Uh-huh. walks back to the house with the dog. Wait, you drove her and then now he's walking back? Erica: To the neighborhood pool, washes Nala at this. This is his mind frame. Washes Nala. Yeah. Washes Nala at the pool. walks back to the house with the dog. Wait, he drove her, and then now he's But he didn't want to put the wet dog in his truck, so now he's walking back. Jenn: His truck, so now he's walking back in the rain with the dog. Okay. Okay. Comes in, puts her in the garage, has to dry and all this. And I'm sitting on the couch still in the same spot, staring at the wall, thinking that was easier than moving the hose to the front bar. Why do they do that? I I can't I think this is a universal problem. Erica: With the dog, okay. Comes in, puts her in the garage, has to dry her and all this. And I'm sitting on the couch, still in the same spot, staring at the wall, thinking that was easier than moving the hose to the front yard. That's it. That's I don't know. I d I can't and he this is a universal problem. It a hundred percent. And I simply just asked him in the nicest way, I was Do you that was easier? And he said, Yes, it was actually it was easier. I'm like, Okay. Jenn: I like, do you that was easier? And he said, Yes, it was yeah actually it was easier. I'm like Okay. That was it. I didn't I don't know 'cause I I cannot under Okay, this is Erica: That was it. I didn't I don't know because I I cannot understand Jenn: a we need to I feel like. Erica: a Jenn: to take a poll or something, It can is it just us? Is it just us. I mean, that's wild. That's insane. Yeah. Okay. All right. Well But the dog got a bath. And you didn't have to do it. Erica: hundred percent. Is it just us? Is it just us? I mean that's wild. Truly. That's insane. Yeah. All right. It's just like kind of like but the dog got back and you didn't have to do it. that's why that's why I simply c I simply could not complain. I think not complaining. Jenn: No, no, no. I know you're not complaining I know you're not complaining. It's just funny that that was it that that was involved. Erica: Is that that one right? Jenn: That's really all I can say. Okay have a whole series on my husband. yeah, we both could in the nicest way possible. We both could. And he probably could have a series on me. Yes, that's marriage. That's marriage. Erica: I mean I could have a whole series on my husband. I could in the nicest way possible. And he probably could have a series on me. Maybe. That's married. Maybe. I mean I'm pr I'm pr I'm pretty perfect. I said you probably just see me as a villain. And he didn't say anything. Jenn: him. You probably just see me as a villain. And he didn't say anything. He didn't say yes or no. Erica: He didn't say yes or no. you just always say you're right, you just agree and you just you know, you just learn to just shut up, basically. And that's what And in that moment I was like, This is what ten years of marriage Jenn: you just always say you're right, you just agree, and you just you know, you just learn to just shut up, basically. And that's what And in that moment I was like, this is what ten years would matter. Erica: probably looks like. He's just learned to say Jenn: Probably looks like. Yeah, for sure. It's he knew better than to say a damn word. At some point his mama had to tell him you don't have nothing else to say, you don't say anything. That's right. I use that I probably use that daily. For sure. You think it's like at this point, but you're like, no, but true. a lot of stuff I have to shove right now. Yeah. It's just easier. Or as our friend says, shove that shit down. Shove that shit. Sometimes you just gotta shove it down. Not always, but sometimes you just gotta shove it down. Erica: Well and i his at some point his mama had to tell him, You don't have nothing nice to say, you don't say anything at all. You think it's like cliche at this point, but you're like, No, but truly. yeah, there's a lot of times I have to shut my mouth. Yeah. It's easier. Or as our friend says, that shit down. Shut that shit down. Sometimes you just gotta shut it down. Not always, but sometimes you just gotta shut it down. Those thoughts you don't need to say. Shove it down and shut it down. Jenn: Those thoughts you don't need to say Shut it down and shut it down. Yeah. Erica: my god. Okay, well f f I don't know if y'all see, but flat gen's in the back there. yeah. my trunk trying to put the dogs in. Yeah. And he's like, there's flat gen. And Danny's like Danny sent a text to Jen and said, Jenn: my gosh. Okay. Well, I don't know if y'all see but Flat Jen's the vaccine. yeah. 'cause your son found me in the car. Yeah. And he's like, there's Flat Jen. Danny's like Danny sent a text to Jen and said, Gonna go ahead. Danny said This is what it would look Erica: Danny says what do you Jenn: like if I tried to braid my hair like the girls. That's what this is. my god. If I were to try to braid my hair with like the bubble braid, that's what that's that's what this was. We I don't know what we were trying to do. It was something. No, we can't do that with our hair. I mean, I have a lot of hair, but no, that doesn't work. So I just look like Cindy Louhu. And that other picture is Jen F. Erica: this is my God. If I were to try to braid my hair with like the bubble braid, that's what That's where that came from. Because I don't know what we were to do. We were sending reels back and forth and we're like, we can't do that 'cause our hair's too thin. I mean and Jen tried it. And she sent me the picture. And that other picture is Jen at her birthday, thirty ninth birthday. And she was Jen. Jenn: Birthday thirty nights. Yeah, thirty nights. Turnt Erica: Do you a what turnt Jenn: You were what? Turnt Turnt Turnt Turnt. the un unfortunately for my face, that is the look that I give to others when I am turnt That is right before the Irish exit. That is Erica: Face. That is the look that I give to others when I That is right before the Irish exit, FYI. Jenn: my gosh. I haven't I haven't been turned in a while. Erica: can't say the same. You wanna know what? I went to a out to eat, then we went to we went to a new restaurant, out to eat, and then there was another new restaurant that was on Sunday. And there was another new restaurant. It's it's supposed to be like a speakeasy restaurant. Like it had to actually hear on the right. Jenn: Been on the been on the health kick. I guess. I don't know. You wanna know what? I went to a LTE, then we went to we went to a new restaurant, LTE, and it was another new restaurant on Sunday. Just recent. Yep. And it was another new restaurant. It's it's supposed to be like a speakeasy restaurant. Okay. But it's a restaurant? I've never heard of a speakeasy restaurant. Right. Erica: It was like kind of weird. And it was like this it was like this whole secret Jenn: It was like pretty weird. Okay. Erica: thing that you had to go behind like this door and yeah. So we went to the n first restaurant and the one I was like sitting at the restaurant and I was like, You wanna know what? There's another new speakeasy restaurant that we couldn't get into. So I was like, I don't know if we couldn't not get into it, but we just already had these reservations. So I was like, Can we just go there for a drink so I can check it out? Now the speakeasy was only open Friday and Saturday, so I couldn't actually get into the actual speakeasy, but I went into the restaurant. So anyways Jenn: thing that you had to go behind like the cool cool yeah so we went to the first restaurant and the one I was like sitting at the restaurant and I was like you wanna know what there's another new speakeasy restaurant that we couldn't get into so I was like I don't know if we couldn't not get into it but we just already had these reservations. So I was like can we just go there for a drink so we can check it out. Now speakeasy was only open Friday and Saturday so I didn't get into the speakeasy but I went into the restaurant. So anyways all of this to say. Erica: All of this to say. We end up going three places and I drank bees' knees the whole entire time, which is gin, honey, and lemon. It's literally my favorite drink. Sometimes it's served on ice, sometimes it's served as a martini. And I was phenomenal Monday. I was like, this is, you know, when you're when you find something, I know. It's great. Now, now, as you get older, your body can be fine one week, and the next week it's like. Jenn: We end up going three places and I drank bees' knees the whole entire time. Which is gin. Gin, honey, and lemon. It's literally my favorite drink. Sometimes it's served on ice, sometimes it's served as a martini. And I was phenomenal Monday. Great. I was like, this is you know, when you're when you spind something, I know, it's great. Now now, as you get older, your body can be fine one week and the next week It's turned on you. Erica: Listen, you drank bees knees last week, you ain't drinking it again. No, you ain't getting away with it twice. Nope. Nope. You weren't you weren't getting away with it twice. No, no, no. So then you're like Damn, what did I do? What did I change? Did I not eat enough protein that day? You changed nothing. I think your body got one week. Jenn: Nope. Nope. She said nope. Nope. It's true. No, no, no, no. That would be too easy. What did I do? What did I change that? Nothing that day. You changed nothing. You just your body got one week older. Erica: I better when I'm dehydrated. Jenn: I can do better on a PI night. no. No, that's not a thing. Although I do that to myself all the time. I'll Erica: No, that's not a thing. Although I do that to myself all the time. it's so Jenn: have a glass of wine and then I'm like, I should have I should have some water before bed. That's that's a responsible thing. No, I won't. What? I know what I know this is. Because I don't want to have to get up and pee in the middle of the night. That's really what it comes down to. That's correct. Yeah. Well, and if you've had wine yard again, probably have 3 a.m. wake up. You don't need pee to help. Erica: Water before that. That's that's a responsible thing. No. No. I won't. What? I know we d I know this is kinda all of the night. That's really Well th no, that that's correct. Well and if you've had wine you're already gonna probably have the three AM wake up. You don't need P to help with that. I just rather Jenn: Nope. I just would rather not. Just the three AM, the four AM, it's it's a real thing and it is it'll get you, man. I can't. Why do we drink so much liquid other than water? Like even Spindrifts Well, I mean I do drink a lot of water. I do drink a lot of water. No you don't. I'm surprised we're not wrinkly. Well probably the boat tops too, but Erica: 3 a.m., 4 a.m., it's it's a real thing and it is it'll get you, man. I can't. Why can we drink so much liquid other than water? Like even spindrifts. Like I'm like I can house some spindrifts. I don't. I don't. You don't. Nope. I'm awful. I'm surprised I'm not wrinkly. Well it's probably the Botox too, but Jenn: I mean that helps. that wow, that's really good. But that's the only water all day. So you so you don't take a water bottle with you to the gym? I do, I don't drink it. I actually this morning I was So it's an emotional support water bottle. Okay. So this morning I didn't even take one because I'm like, let's be honest, Eric. I get so thirsty at the gym. I Erica: Say to my every day I say to myself, when I drink because I do drink a glass of water when I first wake up before I drink coffee. That's like wow, that's really But that's the only water I drink all day. So you don't drink the water bottle at the gym? I do, I don't drink it. I'm the actually this morning I was like you wanna take some an emotional support bottle. A hundred percent. So this morning I didn't even take one because I'm like, let's be honest, Erica, you're not gonna drink it. Jenn: will I'm almost done with my water bottle by the time I get back from the gym. No, yeah. Erica: No, see my body's used to swallowing at spit, so it's just okay, but also like let's talk about this for a second. So my god. Like this they have water bottles all the time. I mean, we do too, we do two now, but I didn't do that. No. I was allowed at yeah at my Catholic elementary school. Yeah. We would line up. Jenn: Okay. Okay, but also like let's talk about this for a second. So our children, like this generation, they have water bottles all the time. I mean, we do too, we do two now. But I didn't do that. I was allowed at at my Catholic elementary school, we would line up at the drinking fountain. Erica: At the drinking fountain, and we would count one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi, and you were done. It didn't matter if you still had thirst, you were done with water. Yeah. You didn't there wasn't an opportunity to go back to the water fountain. Yeah. There wasn't. Yeah. No. So our kids, though, I mean, if they forget a water bottle, I'm getting a text. I mean, you know, my kids like, please bring it. I got cross country or Jenn: And we would count one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi, and you were done. It didn't matter if you still had thirst, you were done with water for the day. You didn't there wasn't an opportunity to go back to the water fountain. There wasn't. No. So our kids, though, I mean, if they forget a water bottle, I'm getting a text. I mean, you know, my kids like, I forgot my water bottle. Can you please bring it? I got cross country or whatever. Yes. And and I will, but like also maybe it would be good for them to be dehydrated for a little while. Erica: And and I will, but like also maybe it would be good for them to be dehydrated for a little while. You wanna know what, Jen? I'm thinking that I'm okay still being dehydrated because you're old as fuck now and I'm not. This is the point in the you're gonna be you're gonna be forty. I'm not forty yet. Jenn: Okay. This is the point in the you're gonna be you're gonna be forty and I will be forty one. Erica: Yet So my body's still living in its twenties. Jenn: Okay. Okay. You you get back to me once you've actually turned forty and we'll talk. We'll talk about it. Erica: Listen. It's a mental thing as well as a physical thing. No, I feel like you've done well, but there we have some other people that are really struggling getting like a hot minute. But you wouldn't I told you it was after the fact. yeah. I was fine all up until I turned forty. I was even fine a little Jenn: It's a mental thing as well as a physical thing. I feel like you've done well, but there we are I struck I squirreled for a hot minute. But I told you it was after the fact. I was fine all up until I turned forty. I was even fine a little bit after that. And then I kinda went a little squirrely. I was like, what are we gonna do? We gotta get back we gotta get back in gear. But it's because my I think my birthday is in the around the holidays. Erica: I was like, what are we gonna do? But it's because my I think my birthday is in the around the holidays. And so it's all of the You don't have time to be emotional. Yeah, you don't. Yeah. Dude, Jen and I's birthday sucks. Mine's right before Thanksgiving. Jenn: And so like it's all of the you know, you get back in January. No, exactly. You get back from j you know, from the holidays in January. They kinda do. Mine's right before Thanksgiving. Yes, and mine is right after yours. So weeks before three, exactly. Which nobody can do anything in December. Right. You are the first week of December. So some right. Right. Erica: And two weeks before cr three weeks before Christmas. It's in which nobody can do anything in December. Thankfully you are at the first week of December. It's right before the thick of people doing stuff with the holidays. But truly, it is hard. Jenn: But that's we never we neither of us really goes like ham with our birthdays. I mean, I did last year 'cause I turned forty. Yeah, exactly. And you should. But I mean, but also you gave people an entire year basically to plan for it, you know? So I mean we we we blocked off our calendars well in advance. I mean we I'm like, there's literally no other weekend that I can do it because it just my son's the weekend before and then Thanksgiving is the weekend after and all week before that. Erica: days in last year. This year I'm doing ham. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. But I mean, but also you gave people an entire year. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. You know? So I mean we we blocked off our calendar. Yeah. But I mean we I'm like, there's literally no other weekend that I can do it because it just my son is the weekend before and then Thanksgiving is the week after and Halloween is the week before that. Like you it just we ha I have one weekend. Jenn: October has hit and I can feel it. I can feel it. Halloween's gonna be here. I mean, I don't know. Erica: I have and I'm like, Halloween's gonna be here? I mean, I don't know. Jenn: I don't know where August or September went. I truly have no no recollection of either month. No, I don't either. Yeah. Which is hard because I'm like usually I finished enjoying the summer and I feel like this year I just didn't I don't know what I was doing. Yeah. Erica: truly have no no recollection of either months. No, I don't either. Which is hard because I'm like usually I finish enjoying the summer and I feel like this year I just didn't I don't know what I was doing. Yeah. But I am head into football. That's what I got here right now. Jenn: made a ready with me video. I did time myself and it takes me a minute and twenty Erica: I made a get ready with me video. I did time myself and it takes me a minute and twenty seconds to curl my hair. Jenn: That's good. No, I love that. Yeah. Erica: No, I love that. But I feel bad for the people that are like, It takes me forty five minutes. I'm like we have no hair. I might have a little bit more than you, but I'll How long does Jenn: Yeah, because you don't have we we we don't we don't have that much hair. I might have a little bit more than you, but I I still don't Erica: it take you to curl your hair? Like three three to five minutes. jeez. Only because it's shorter now, so I do have to think a little bit more about it. Jenn: Like three three to five minutes. Yeah. Three Only because it's shorter now, so I do have to think a little bit more about it. I don't know if you find that and my hair didn't keep a curl yesterday. Now we're getting in the weeds. Erica: And my hair didn't keep a curl yesterday. No. You should try crimping it. Jenn: Listen, that video, I'm not I had just I had I was in the middle of eating lunch. We had people in my house demoing and painting and doing all of the things, and I had just finished eating lunch. I do a little scrolly scroll on the Instagrams, and it's this girl who's got like shorter hair than me who decides she's going to crimp her hair and I'm just the the crimper did her dirty. It did her real dirty. I I can't even do a good crimp. Erica: That video I'm not I had I I was in the middle of eating lunch. The shirt case people in my house demoing and painting and doing all of the things and I had just finished eating lunch. I do a little scrolly scroll on the Instagrams and it's this girl who's got like shorter hair than me. I'm having problems over here. And I'm just the the crimper did her dirty. It did her real dirty. I I can't even do a good crimp. I can't. Jenn: I can't. Erica: I didn't think Jenn: It's Erica: it was funny at all. I didn't even laugh. Literally. And you were like dying. You have abs. Jenn: She literally. And you were like dying. You have that. Erica: I like I was like, I don't maybe it was like wrong time. I don't Jenn: Like I was like, I don't know. it definitely was. I was like dying. Erica: Jen was like I'm dying and I'm like, Jennifer. Jenn: I was dying. Well, we texted our friend group and even the other one was like, yeah, I have a crimper. It it's it did me dirty too. And I'm now it's up in a clip. I'm it's because it's so relatable to me. I don't know. Erica: Even the other one was like, yeah, I have a crimper it it's it did me dirty too and I'm now it's up in a clip. I it's because it's so relatable to me. I don't know. my hairdresser used to take like the really small crimper and she used to crimp like the very top, just the root of her hair, Jenn: really small crimper and she used to crimp like the very top, just the root of her hair, We've lost all of the male audience at at this point, but it's fine. she'd crimp right here and it she said we can keep her volume. Erica: We've never had a male audience. she'd crimp right here and it she said it would give her volume. Jenn: it. That's one of the things that a lot of you can't get away. That's why I still use band minerals 20 years later. Yeah. Yeah. I've tried other stuff. Yeah. For me, foundation sits in my wrinkles. Erica: Also, I'm a creature for habit and can't get away. That's why I still use bam minerals 20 years later. I've tried other stuff. For me, foundation sits in my wrinkles. Jenn: Okay. Like, not I have smile lines, and if I put foundation on, it's normal. Your face moves. No, what I'm saying is when I have foundation on when I my lips, when I go back after smiling back to Erica: Like not I have smile lines and if I put foundation on your face moves. Well no, what I'm saying is when I have foundation on when I my lips when I go back after smiling back to normal, there's a crease there because of the foundation. I don't have that bare minerals. Bare minerals does mean good. That's what it's fine. You just continue to use what works for you, girl. Well, that's the thing. Everybody that's why I don't like the makeup tutorials. Jenn: There's a crease there because their minerals. That's that's fine. good you just continue to use what works for you, girl. Well that's the thing, every that's why I don't like the makeup tutorials. you get on these YouTube videos and I'm like, Okay, cool. And then they're like, but do what works for you and you're like Buy eighteen products and then do X, Y, and Z. Also you're like, Okay, now I have to watch nine YouTube videos. Erica: Because you get on these YouTube videos and I'm like, Okay, cool. And then they're like, but do what works for you and you're like buy eighteen products then do X, and C But also you're like, Okay, now I have to watch nine YouTube videos to see how they're all doing it different and then I have to buy all their products to then test it out. That's way too much. I'm gonna stay basic. I'm I'm never going to have like that. There's girls that really know how to do their makeup. I'm just never gonna be one of them. Jenn: To see how they're all doing it differently, and then I have to buy all their products to then test it out. That's way too much. No. I'm gonna stay basic. Unsubscribe. I'm never going to have like that. There's girls that really want to do their makeup. I'm just never gonna do one of them. Yeah, I'm good with it. I've made peace with it. It's fine. I already put three things on. That's where I'm at. It's this is this is 247. Erica: I've made peace it. And in the summer I put like three things on because I'm nice and tan. I'm a golden goddess. I already put three things on. That's where I'm at. Well, I got this is twenty-four-seven, three sixty-five. I gotta I should tanner the season. god, the neck where we're at. I should probably start putting I get I maybe I should start using some self-tanner. I think I've c reached where my lizardness has died down a little bit. Right? You think so? I think I've c reached where my lizardness is back down a little bit. Right? Mm-mm. No, you're pretty tan still. No. You're always tanner than I am. I don't know what it is. I was telling my friend that when we were out to dinner Sunday, I like, She's like, You're God, you're so tan. I was like, I think my body just gets enough sun like once a month and it just Do you know Erica: I don't know what it is. I was telling my friend that when we were out to dinner Sunday. I was like, She's You God, you're so tan. I was like, I think my body just gets enough sun like once a month and it just Do you know? Jenn: what your heritage is. So I'm French. Mm-hmm. Interesting. And Native American, but it's actually very small percentage. So I don't know. Hmm. Okay. Do French people look like this? Erica: your heritage is. So I'm French. Mm-hmm. Interesting. And Native American, but it's actually very small percentage. So I don't know. Do French people look like this? Jenn: I mean I think there's all kinds. Erica: Yeah. I don't know. I mean, when I went to the Italian festival, like you know you're in an Italian festival. You know what I mean? What Italian festival about? I went to when I went to Boston in August, we went to the Italian festival. Okay. did we just squirrel we talking about? I don't even know why. we were talking about my skin color. And you felt you were Jenn: I don't know. I mean, when I went to the Italian festival, like you know you're in an Italian festival. You know what I mean? What Italian festival are we talking about? And you felt like you were No, I Erica: No, I asked you if French people look like this. You said you don't know it. Jenn: And then you went down an Italian route. I d I'm confused. I haven't seen a lot of French people at once. okay, okay, okay. I see. We had to close the loop. We had to close Erica: Because I haven't seen a lot of French people all at once, but I've seen a lot of Italian people all at once. And I'm saying when you see someone at Jenn: the loop. I didn't know where we were going. I got it now. Erica: When you see Italian people, you know they're Italian is what I'm saying. Like Yes. When you see Italian people, you're like, y I know they're Italian. Anyways, Their demeanor, the way that they talk. Jenn: Okay. Like Yes. You swallow the G. Erica: I always say I say yoki, you swallow the G. Jenn: It is. Gnocchi. Gnocchi. You kinda did it. So you gotta swallow first. No, it's like you're s as you're saying it, you're kind of like swallowing the letter. Erica: Yoki. You kinda did it. Did I? So you gotta swallow first? No, it's like you're s as you're saying it, you're kinda like swallowing the letter. What about mozzarella? Is there mozzarella? my god. What are you saying? What is it? No, because my husband's gonna listen to this. I'm gonna make him listen to this part, and he's gonna be like the mozzarella. It's on how you say it. No, but like he's like the the moots. I'm like nobody. Jenn: my gosh. Don't even get me started. No, because no, because my husband's gonna listen to this. I'm gonna make him listen to this part, and he's gonna be like the mozzarella. Like it's not even no, but like he's like the the moots. He'll say the moot. I'm like nobody says that. No one says that. When we were in Italy, no one said that. The moots. Ugh. Erica: Do you know it's no one says that but do you know all we for in Italy? No one said that. The moot Jenn: Did that give you day? Yes. Between that and calling Italian Erica: did that give you the ick? Yes. Between that and calling Italian Jenn: like marinara, marinara, whatever you want to say, or the bolognaise, they call it he calls it gravy. Just and he knows it drives me nuts. And it's literally just to get under my skin. Erica: It's not they call it he calls it crazy. Just they do do that, yes. And he knows it drives me nuts. but now see that's the thing. That yeah, well But do you know it's not bruschetta, it's Buschetta? Brusquetta. Yeah, whatever, Jen. Yeah. Jenn: It's Brusquetta. Bruschetta. Beverage. Yeah. It took a long time, like in college. That was like never my go to. No, I don't think in college anybody ever picks beer unless you're a guy. Right. Jenn: Do. It's just I gotta be in the mood for it. It's not my thing. Yeah. You know? It took a long time. Like in college, that was like never my go-to. No, I don't think it's wine has nobody ever picks beer unless you're a guy. I don't know what my problem is. Good. Jenn: Everybody got into Kayla. Good night. It's like, it's the low calorie. I mean, it is supposed to I know, but I d the best liquor people drink. That's wonderful. But guess what? If you're gonna have an alcoholic beverage. I'm gonna have a dirty martine. But either that or wine, because that's what I like. I don't care about Erica: I mean it is supposedly the best liquor you can drink. That's wonderful. It's all poison, but that's the best. An alcoholic beverage. I'm gonna drink a dirty martini. But say it's that or wine, because that's what I like. So you should do it what you like. Jenn: But I don't care about the calorie aspect of it. That's stupid. If you're gonna sit there and you're worried about the health aspects of drinking alcohol because of the calories, we need to reevaluate. No, but Jenn there are some drinks out there that are very high calories. I understand. yes, and I get that. I get that. But I'm also I yeah, but I'm not drinking a pina colada on a daily basis either. I'm not putting it Lord. I mean Do you know Erica: If you're gonna sit there and you're worried about the health aspects of drinking alcohol because of the calories, we need to reevaluate. No, but Jen, there are some drinks out there that are very high calorie. So there are some other options. And I get that. Yeah. But I'm also I yeah, but I'm not drinking a pina colada on a daily basis either. Mudslide. Lord. I mean Do you know on my bachelorette that we went to Crab Island and Destin? Jenn: They we went to Crab Island and Destin. Uh-huh. And they had like a floating bar in the middle of Crab Island. And I I'm like afraid. it was it was after all day. All of us girls went over there on floats and we all got it was like a mud slide drink. It's just dairy dairy's going bad. Dairy is going bad in the sun. I still taste it in the back of my throat. That is disgusting. And everybody drink I'm like, I can't. No. No. Erica: And they had like a floating bar in the middle of Crab Island. And I was it was it was after all day. All of us girls went over there on floats and we all got well, it was like a mud slide drink. I still taste it is going bad in the sun. I still taste it in the back of my throat. That is disgusting. And everybody drank I'm like, I can't. I can't drink this. No. Jenn: You so you probably can't do it now. No, I Erica: So you probably can't drink now. No, I Jenn: I just I can't I first of all I'm not a huge sweet person, especially chocolate, I know as is. So it's like those type of things. I'm like, I just can't. Yeah. I've never I would never order a milkshake. Like take alcohol out of it. I just won't I'm not a same person I can just order a milkshake. I'll take a sip of a milkshake. Yeah, yeah. I that's that's where I'm at. If my kids get like a Chick fil A milkshake, I'll have like a sip. Yeah. Yeah. Erica: I just I can't I first of all I'm not a huge sweet person, especially chocolate, I know, as is. So it's like those type of things. I'm like I just can't. Like I never I will never order a milkshake. Like take alcohol out of it. I just won't I'm not a type of person that can just order a milkshake. I'll take a sip of a milkshake. Yeah, yeah. I that's that's where I'm But I can't I can always get like a Chick-fil-a milkshake, I'll have the I will be sick. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I have like PTSD from that though. Yeah. And I'm like, I feel like if I'm gonna eat a whole ice cream, like even now if I go to like an ice cream shop or kill ones or something like that. Erica: After lunch, my boss and I went down and we got like an ice cream And I'll never forget I ate this ice cream in the after I had the jitters so bad. my god, I will I still can't forget that day. I have like PTSD from that though. And I'm like, I feel like if I'm gonna eat a whole ice cream, like even now, if I go to like an ice cream shop or Kill Wins or something like that, when we're like out of town, and I'm like Jenn: When we're like out of town and I'm like I'm scared to eat the whole ice cream 'cause I never want to feel like You get the kid portion. No and then you're good to go. Why don't I get the jingle's alcohol? That is sugar in it. Maybe I do, maybe I have to make some effort for you. Yeah, well that could be part of it. Erica: I'm scared to eat the whole ice cream because I never want to feel like that again. No. And then you're good to go. Why don't I get the jitters with alcohol? That has sugar in it. Maybe I do. Maybe that's wakes me up at three AM. Yeah, well, Jenn: Okay, we are gonna go down Jen's list. Not the whole list. Alright, we're gonna go down quite a few. It's extensive. Okay, we probably can't make it through the list today, but we're gonna you're gonna ramble off your petty hates. Erica: Okay, we are gonna go down Jen's list. Not the whole list. Alright, we're gonna go down quite a few. Okay, we probably can't make it through the list today, but we're you're gonna ramble off your petty hates. Jenn: Okay. Petty hates. Erica: Petty hates. Petty hates. You guys ready for this? Yeah. So last week we talked about the genuine use of the word precious, unless you're southern. Yes. Okay. Which I think, you know, is valid. That's how I feel. Okay. Jenn: Petty hates. Yeah. So last week we talked about the genuine use of the word precious, unless you're Southern. Yes. Okay. Which I think, you know, is valid. That's how I feel. Okay. Erica: I don't know if you can start from the top. Don't pick and choose, start from the top. No. Yes, gimme your list. I'm rambling Jenn: I don't know which ones I can choose. Start from the top. Don't pick and choose, start from the top. No. Yes, give your list. I Erica: it off. No. Don't give me Jenn: Okay, fine. Fine. Erica: People ruining songs by overusing them on social media. Jenn: People ruining songs by overusing them on social media. Erica: Okay. Fair. I think that's fair. When the Beyonce song Texas came out, I wanted to bang my head against the wall every time I heard it. So that's where that one comes from. Lawnmower's before eight AM. Jenn: I think that's fair. When the Beyonce song Texas came out, I wanted to bang my head against a wall every time I heard it. So that's where that one comes from. Lawnmowers before eight AM. Erica: my okay, fair. I I I just think it's inconsiderate in general. Jenn: I I I just think it's inconsiderate in general. And I don't care if it's a weekday, I don't care if it's a Saturday or a Sunday before eight AM is wrong. And I'm usually awake. Yeah. Not okay. Okay. People who stop immediately inside a doorway to figure out where they're going. Erica: And I don't care if it's a weekday, I don't care if it's Saturday or Sunday before 8 a.m. is wrong. And I'm usually awake. Yeah. Fair. Okay. Yeah. People who stop immediately inside a doorway to figure out where they're going. No. Jenn: You've created a human traffic jam. Move. Erica: You created a human traffic jam. Move. Who says there's anybody behind them? say anything. Jenn: I'm behind them. Erica: you're I thought you meant like if Mike goes Jenn: It might go. Erica: to walk in the room and he just stops at a and he's like, I forgot what I was doing, turns around, doesn't say anything. you're talking about random people. Yes. yeah, that's annoying. Yes. Like if you're walking into like a store or a restaurant, people stop and they're like, No, I changed my mind. Or also Jenn: No I'm behind them. Move. Well you're talking about random people. Yes. yeah, that's annoying. Yes. Like if you're walking into like a store or restaurant, people stop and they're like, No, I'm gonna change my mind. Yeah, or also you walked in and and what? What did you expect? You were going to this establishment, choose where you're going. Erica: Did you expect? You were going to this establishment, choose rare. Maybe they forgot what they got in their car, Jen. Wait, maybe they forgot something. All right, next one. Speakerphone in public. We've talked about it. yeah. Okay. People who don't return their weights at the gym. Yes. I don't have this problem at my current gym, but what or people that put the weights back, but they put them crooked. And I don't mean this as in like a an O C D way. Jenn: Wait, maybe they forgot something. Right. Speakerphone in public. We've already talked about this. Okay. People who don't return their weights at the gym. Yes. I don't have this problem at my current gym, but or people that put the weights back, but they put them crooked. And I don't mean this as in like a an OCD way. I mean it's it's not though. Okay. Hear me out. Hear me out. Erica: I think it's O C D. It's it's not though. Okay. Okay. because when you're carrying in the next heavy weight, now you have to move that weight to put that rude Okay, fine. Okay, fair enough. And if you found it crooked, then fix it. Okay. All right. Jenn: heavy weight. Now you have to move that way. Yes, to put the other one back. That's rude. Put it back the way that you found it. Okay. Okay. I'm and if you found it crooked, then fix it. Okay. All right. Erica: That's O C D. Jenn: People who walk three or four across on a sidewalk and make no attempt to move over when you're clearly coming the other direction. Erica: People who walk three or four across on a sidewalk and make no attempt to move over when you're clearly coming the other direction. can't stand that. Yeah. Why? Do you point you in a fun fact about this? I will look at them on a just like that. No. Like well And I also feel like what did you want me to do like to go invisible and Walk on the grass, Jen? Jenn: Why? Do you like you know fun fact about this? I will look at them and I just like that. No. Like well. What did you want me to do? What did you want me to do? Would you like me to go invisible and then reappear after you've gone by me? I mean, what is happening? Erica: is happening. Also a sidewalk is like a road. Just step to the side, your side. Yes, but I have stepped the side. No, I'm saying them. I'm saying them. Yes. Do you know, but wait, before you go to your next one, do you know I don't need to know because I'm so pain. My husband does that on a daily basis. When he runs people over? No. When he you know how like you see somebody coming in a certain way, so you either step to the side. No, he walks right. He does the same thing. With like he'll be facing me. I'm going nope, he walks right Jenn: The side, your side. Yes, but I have stepped to the side and they just they'll run me over. Yes. Okay. Do you know? But wait, when you go to your next one and say I I don't need to go in. I have so many. My husband does that on a basis. What? Runs people over? No. He you know how like you see somebody coming in a certain way, so you need to step to the side? No, he walks right. He does the same thing. With like he'll be facing me, I'm going the nope, he walks right Erica: And then he expects me to move Jenn: in the extra. Erica: he expects me to where I am to then move over to go around his other side. Anyways, go ahead. All the time. All the time. What is it? I'm never asking him. No, please don't. Nope. When he whenever he comes onto the podcast, hey, when he ever comes onto the podcast, you can ask him why he does that. Okay. people who leave six car links. Jenn: He expects me to where I am to then move over to go around his other side. Anyways, go ahead. All the time. All the time. What is you need to ask him later why? No, please do. Nope. Okay, he'll listen to this and he'll tell me. He'll text me. He'll text me. When he ever comes off the podcast, you can ask him why he does that. Okay. people who leave six car lengths between themselves and the car ahead of them at the red light. Don't need to get into that. Erica: Between themselves and the car ahead of them. my God. Don't even get into that with me. Jenn: Me I understand one car length. I don't understand six. I understand two or three. Sure. I mean if you want to be overly cautious, sure. Six is too much. Now no one can get through the red light. my the people No one can get through. Or the green light, whatever. A green light. Anybody that breaks going into a green light. If it's a solid green, y'all, if you're gonna get hit, you're gonna get hit. Come on. Erica: I understand two or three. Sure. I mean if you want to be overly cautious, sure. Six is too much. Now no one can get through the red light. Okay. my god. The people wait get through. People that go slow up to a red lig a green light. Anybody that breaks going into a green light. If it's a solid green, y'all, if you're gonna get hit, you're gonna get hit. Speed limits forty-five. We're gonna go thirty going up to the green light. Okay. Go ahead. Okay. Jenn: We're gonna go 30 going up to the green light. Okay. Erica: Okay. Okay. People who don't replace the toilet paper roll but thoughtfully place the new roll on top of the empty one. Who does that? You don't Jenn: People who don't replace the toilet paper roll but thoughtfully place the new roll on top of the empty one. Who does that? Erica: who? Mike? I've seen it. Listen, no, it's not even that. I because we don't have okay. No. Because we have at home we have the ones that are like you just slide the roll on. Yes. So there's no way you can even place one on. Jenn: Seen it, listen. No, it's not even that. I because we don't have okay. Gotta put my water bottle down for this one. No, because we have at home, we have the ones that are like you just slide the roll on. So there's no way you can even place one on top. That's not a thing. But I have seen it in other people's homes, in restaurants. And I'm like, really? Really? There's an there's a there's an empty sitting right there. Why? Erica: Okay. Okay. But I have seen it in other people's homes, restaurants, and I'm like, really? Really? There's an there's a there's an empty sitting right there. Why? It doesn't make any sense. It took you it took you longer to get the one from wherever you gotta get it from to then place come on, man. Okay. Okay. Jenn: It doesn't make any sense. It took you it took you longer to get the one from wherever you gotta get it from to then place it Come on, man. Okay. This is for my children. People who put empty containers back in the refrigerator or pantry. Erica: People who put empty containers back in the refrigerator. we're not gonna we're not even gonna go there. That's not even that's a whole other podcast session. That's we could talk an hour about that. The empties in the cl the snack cabinet and the refrigerator. my god. Why are we saving a teaspoon of ketchup people? Jenn: whole other podcast session. That's we talked an hour about that. The empty's in the c the snack cabinet and the refrigerator. my god. Why are we saving Why are we saving the wrapper? With the clip attached. Erica: we're posting that. I know, I got that. No. I have one. I have a picture of it. What? I know. The rice cakes. Jenn: No. I have one. I have a picture of it. Yesterday, the rice cakes. Erica: I know. I know. Jenn: Guys Erica: I don't know why, I don't know. I don't The tomato carton empty. well you know Jenn: Guys I don't know. I don't The tomato carton. Empty. Well And I'm like, buddy, come on. He's like, solly. Erica: though, I know who that was. You want to know what though? The the older generation, they do save very small it bits of things. Like they'll have a bite of food left and they're like, I'll save this for later and put it in the fridge. And I think it's because they had like a time of depression. Right. Because their parents were depression. Throw the shit away. The bite is not nope, we're not doing anything here. I'm guilty of it. There's time Jenn: You wanna know what though? The the older generation, they do save very small it bits of things. Like they'll have a bite of food left and they're like, well I'll save this for later and put it in. Okay. And I think it's because we've had like a time of depression. Right. Because their parents were depression age. Yes. Throw shit away. Throw it away. The bite is not no, we're not doing anything. And I'm guilty of it. There's times when I'll bring things home from restaurants. No, seriously. I'm either bringing something that I know damn well I'm not eating. Erica: No, seriously. I'm either bringing something that I know damn well I'm not eating, Jenn: Or I leave the c the container completely at the restaurant on accident. So it's one or the other. Erica: or I leave the c the container completely at the restaurant on accident. So that happens, yeah. Yeah. No, the bite of food can't do it. Go ahead. No, and then any form of reply all. Jenn: No, and then any form of reply all. If you're doing a reply, I'll email. Erica: If you're doing a reply all email. What do you mean? Okay. I have to sometimes do reply all. That's fine because in if it entails everybody. Yes. And you're probably Jenn: That's fine because in if it entails everybody. Yes. And you're probably not replying all to 300 people. Yeah. So I have PTSD from the school system. There would be reply alls. There would be a district wide email that would go out, and then you would have excuse me, you would have teachers mostly teachers. Sorry, teachers, but mostly teachers that would respond to that email, but they would respond reply all. Erica: 300 people. Yeah. Well, yeah. I have PTSD from the school system. There would be reply alls. There would be a district-wide email that would go out. And then you would have teachers or mostly teachers. Sorry, teachers, but mostly teachers that would respond to that email that they would respond, reply all, so the entire district would get their response. Okay. Oopsies. Jenn: So the entire district would get their response. Okay. Oopsies. Erica: Okay. Jenn: you're skipping over. Erica: You're skipping over things and I don't like it. Nope. I should have took the list from you as soon as you sat down. Website pop-ups. Hold hold on. Website pop-ups that demand my email and offer me 30 deals before I can even see the product that I want to see. Yes, Jenn: Nope, I should have took the lesson you see. Website pop ups. Hold hold on. Website pop ups that demand my email and offer me 30 deals before I can even see the product that I want to see. Erica: that's annoying. I now I don't want to see the product. Yep. I've now clipped away because I am no longer interested. I get the mind frame behind behind it. Yes. But businesses need to understand too that Jenn: I now I don't want to see the product anymore. I've now clicked away because I am no longer interested. I get the businesses I understand, but businesses need to understand too that I no longer want to look at your product. There honestly, I think it would be a little bit better if they just waited like 30 seconds or a minute. Because guess what? If I give me give me five. If I'm give me five minutes. After no, I will say though, sometimes I click on the website. Erica: no longer want to look at your product. There honestly, I think it would be a little bit better if they just waited like 30 seconds or a minute. Because guess what? If I'm still on give me five. If I'm on your website after no, I will say though sometimes I click on the website and there's like a product that I'm nervous that's gonna run out. So I click and I immediately add it to my cart. So I would say fine. But as soon as you click on a website Jenn: And there's like a product that never said is gonna run out. So I click and I immediately add it to my card. So I would say Fine. I I okay. I I'll meet you. I'll meet you in the middle. Yes. As soon as you click on a website, it's I don't wanna sp I don't wanna spin. I don't wanna do the little spinny spin. I don't wanna put my email in. I don't wanna click the box that's gonna explode with confetti. I don't wanna do any of it. I want to see the product. No, it's it's so many now. It's so many. Erica: As soon as you click on a website, it's like sign up for email, sign up for text. I don't want to do the little spinny spin. I don't want to put my email in. I don't want to click the box that's gonna explode with confetti. I don't wanna do any of that. Are you talking about Sheen? You don't want it's so many now. It's so many. I was gonna say you don't shop Sheen. No, I really don't. I also don't like it. Jenn: No, I really don't because I also vv don't like it. Okay, that's all I'm gonna say about that. Also, website chat bubbles. Same same concept. The chat bubbles that but hang on, when you're scrolling because there are a lot of things here like, my god, I love that way together when somebody says And then I instantly you tell me Sheen, I'm like, I'm not buying it. Anyways, do you what were you saying about the next one? no website chat bubbles Erica: Also website chat bubbles. I I do chat bubbles. Wait, wait, wait. Going back to Sheen real quick. I do laugh because there are a lot of things you're like, my god, I love that way together when somebody says Sheen. Anyways, too, what were you saying? What was your next one? no website chat levels Jenn: when they are like hanging out where you scroll, like 'cause you naturally scroll on the right. Yeah. Erica: when they are like hanging out where you scroll, like 'cause you naturally scroll on the right. Yeah. Jenn: And you can't scroll because the chat bubble is in the way and you're yes, dealership It's the same situation as the as the pop ups. Like just Erica: And you can't my god, yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Dealerships are the worst, but there's other ones, yeah. Jenn: Okay, have three more. That's the whole list. You skipped something. I did. When people use the word Erica: Okay, I have three more. That's the whole list? You skip some. I did. When people use She skipped the good ones. I thought this was unfiltered and un and raw, Jen. Some of them were directly calling out certain individuals in my life, and I'm not gonna put them on blast right now. when people use the word colorway instead of color. Never heard that. Okay. That's on the interwebs right now and it's driving me crazy. People that sneeze more time more than three times in a row. Jenn: Some of them were directly calling out certain individuals in my life, and I'm not gonna put them on blast right now. when people use the word colorway instead of color. Never heard that. Okay. That's on the interwebs right now, and it's driving me crazy. People that sneeze more time more than three times in a row, I don't want to say God bless you anymore. I'm done. I've already said it multiple times. You're no longer blessed. I don't know. Erica: I don't want to say God bless you anymore. You've already said multiple times. You're no longer blessed. I don't know. Jennifer. Jen is blessing you three times. That's it. Why? You don't want to be like, God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. My husband will sneeze 16 times in a row. It's too many times. my god, these are like petty hits hates that you've like studied with your own damn family. And the last one is mandatory meetings that could have been an email. Yes. That's fine. You know what? I have a stupid petty hate. And this Jenn: Jennings blessing you three times, that's it. Why you don't want to be like God bless you. Good bless you. No, it's insane at that point. My husband will sneeze sixteen times in a row. It's too many times. my god, these are like petty heads and hates if you'd like study with your own damn family. And the last one is mandatory meetings that could have been an email. Yes. That's all. That's all I have so far. I get a super petty hating. Okay. Erica: this is part of my One one somebody in my own family. I hate I can't stand the word golden. When people like, my god, that's so pretty, it's golden. And like, no, it's gold. It's just gold. It's not golden. And golden is a correct way to use I just can't stand it. I hate when somebody's like, I love that golden color. No, it's gold. It's just freaking gold. We're not saying golden. I love that it's golden. No, it's gold. It's just gold. I can't stand it. Well, that's like color with color. I know. it's in three colors. Jenn: Somebody in my own family. I hate I can't say the word golden. When people are like, my god, that's so pretty, it's golden. And like, no, it's gold. It's just gold. it's not golden. And golden is a correct way to use. I just can't stand it. I hate when somebody's I love that golden color. No, it's gold. That's freaking gold. We're not saying golden. I love that. It's golden. No, it's gold. It's just gold. I can't see. Well, that's like colorway and color. It's like, it comes in three colorways. Erica: No, it comes in three colors. There's a purse that comes in three colorways, is not the thing. It's three colors. Tan, black, brown. Jenn: No, it comes in three colors. There's a purse that comes in three colorways is not the thing. It's three colors. It comes in tan, black, and brown. Erica: Apparently, colorways colorways can be correct in certain instances. I just don't like it. Jenn: Apparently colorway colorways can be correct in certain instances. I just don't like it. Erica: Okay. So that's all. It's still gold. Still gold. I'm with you there. I'm with you. Jenn: That's all. It's still gold. It's still gold. I'm with you there. I'm with you. Erica: For Christmas I would like a golden necklace. Jenn: For Christmas, I would like a golden necklace. A g yes. I see how that could be a little cringy. I get it. It's gold. I'm putting on my right well in in and in that instance, you're talking about the element gold. Erica: I see how that could be a little cringy. I get it. It's gold. I'm putting on my gold earrings. Not golden. Since you're talking about the elephant gold. I just can't stand it. 'Cause I think well, my eight year old uses it, so I'm like, Okay, you I know that you've heard the word gold. Like we don't need to be saying golden. I just wanna know. Jenn: I just can't stand it. Well my eight year old uses it. So I know that you've heard the word gold. Okay. You don't need to be saying golden. I just want to know. This is this is quite the tangent. It's okay though. I held this in for a very long time. It's okay. I did not know this about you. I didn't know. Yeah. Yeah. Erica: It's okay though. I've held this in for a very long time. Yeah. I'm squeezing the chair right now. I gotta talk about one more thing though. It's on my list. One more thing. I finished the show scandal. You did? Did you finish it yet? No, I haven't finished it yet. You know what it is? We watched Scandal for the first time. And Jenn: Okay, okay, okay. All right, fine. I finished the show Scandal. You did? No, I haven't finished it yet. I still have the four episodes. You know what it is? We watched Scandal for the first time. And It's it's great. We love the show, but we were both kind of watching at the same time. And I am at the point where I want it to be done because there's so many episodes, but also I'm like I just I almost don't have the energy to finish the last four. I will though. No. I will. You okay. This is what I will say. There's nothing I'm gonna say that's gonna run it right. Yeah, it's fine. It's fine. I am just personally Erica: It's it's great. We love the show, but we were c both kind of watching at the same time. And I am at the point where I want it to be done because there's so many episodes, but also I'm like It's good show. Almost the energy four. Yeah. Although no I will. You okay. This is what I will say. I'm I there's nothing I'm gonna say that's gonna ruin a few because I wouldn't do that. I am just personally Because the show is so much and had so many different dynamics and like with Fitz and Olivia and all this, like there's so many like relationships and wants wants out of the show. And you like it doesn't it doesn't the way it ends, I was disappointed. Well, and I kind of it didn't fulfill that need. Yeah, it doesn't fulfill the need of like out of everything that has happened Jenn: Because the show is so much and had so many different dynamics and like with Fitz and Olivia and all this, like there's so many like Yes, relationships and friendships and the way it ends, I was disappointed. Well, and I've kind of got I kind of had that feeling. It doesn't fulfill the need of like out of everything that has happened Erica: in that show, that ending could have been so much better. Jenn: That ending could have been so much better. Yeah, I kind of got that feeling with these last few, and I'm like, it's getting a little dark, you know, because Olivia's kind of gone off the rails a bit l a little bit. and so I'm like, so I'm kind of like prolonging the inevitable, I guess. well, first of all, can we talk about the symbolism for just a second? Erica: of got that feeling with these last few yeah it's getting a little dark you know because Olivia's kind of gone off the rails a bit a little bit and so I'm like so I'm kind of like prolonging the inevitable I guess well first of all can we talk about the symbolism for just a second sure she went from being a white hat Jenn: She went from being a white hat at the beginning to now she's wearing like all black. I mean, it's very obvious that we're we're dark. but I literally have four episodes left. Erica: The beginning to now she's wearing like all black. I mean, yeah, it's very obvious that we're we're dark. but I know, but a lot has happened. A lot has happened I'm I'm just I don't know, I just feel like and maybe it's because we've watched so many movies growing up and like read so many books where it all comes to like gather at the end and this sh just didn't for me. Yeah. It didn't. I like said, I got feeling. Yeah. And I'm like that I just I just need to knock it out. But also every rainy day we go. Jenn: I'm just I don't know. I just feel like and maybe it's because we've watched so many movies growing up and read so many books where it all comes like gather at the end and this sh just didn't for me. Yeah. Yeah. I like I said, I got that feeling. So I just need to knock it out. But also it's a rainy day, maybe I'll do that at some point. I know, I know. Well, and then I looked at the final season, I was like, my god Erica: Every season was like twenty episodes. I know. Well and at the final season, I was like, my gosh, there's like Jenn: Gosh, there's like twenty two episodes. Like, how am I gonna get through this? every time my youngest would come in the room, I would be like, he'd be like, What episode now? You know, he wants to know. So anyway, I just need to finish. Your your youngest was cracking me up the other day when I was with him. Erica: twenty two episodes. I know I every time my youngest would come in the room, I would be like, You got what episode now? You know, he wants to know. So anyway, I just need to finish. Your your youngest was cracking me up the other day when I was with him. Jenn: I like brought something up to him. Like just like I was like, What do you think of this? He's like, I don't know, but you need you should talk about it on the podcast. Erica: I like brought something up to him, like just like I was like, What do you think of this? He's like, I don't know, but you need you should talk about it on the podcast. He was giving you such shit. Yeah, he was. And then I was like, Why don't you come on the podcast? He's like, I would, my mom gets stressed. Jenn: He was giving you such shit. Yeah, he what he came up on the podcast, he's like, I can my mom gets stressed. It's true. It's true. It's true. It's a thing. All right. Well, I think we recapped. Yes. Thank you. We will. Oof. I mean, it brought us a little bit more joy. We're better now. I feel better. Yeah. Well, I feel like I have sunlight my face right now. Well, the lights help. Yes. Yeah. Just that's what you need to do from now on. Just turn the light on and sit in the light. You'll be good. Erica: It's true. It's true. Like it's a thing. It's a thing. Well, Thanks for joining us today, guys. Thank you. I hope you enjoyed this one on this gloomy day. I mean it brought little bit more joy. Yeah, it did. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I feel like I have sunlight in my face right now. Yeah. Just a shot. Hello. Jenn: Sit in the light. That's what the Erica: Sit in the light? That's what that's that's what he says from Scandal too. Yeah, he does. All right, bye guys. Jenn: yeah yeah yeah that's right, yep. All right. All right, bye guys. Bye.
