Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Ghislaine Maxwell And Her Audacious Attendance At A Human Trafficking Charity Event
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Ghislaine Maxwell in 2013 had the audacity to attend a
- 0:07Speaker 1: sex trafficking charity event. Meanwhile, we all know what she
- 0:16Speaker 1: was up to with Jeffrey Epstein. We all know what
- 0:20Speaker 1: she is accused of. And she thought that it was
- 0:25Speaker 1: a good idea to go to this event. And furthermore,
- 0:29Speaker 1: this event thought it was a good idea to have her?
- 0:34Speaker 1: I mean, do these people not have the internet? Are
- 0:38Speaker 1: they Amish and we just don't know about it and
- 0:40Speaker 1: they don't believe in technology or something? I don't know
- 0:43Speaker 1: what other excuse there could possibly be. How could you
- 0:46Speaker 1: not know who Ghislaine Maxwell was and who her number
- 0:50Speaker 1: one associate is? Or was, I guess you should say now,
- 0:53Speaker 1: but Let's be very clear, all of these people knew
- 0:58Speaker 1: what Ghislaine Maxwell was, what she was up to, and
- 1:01Speaker 1: what kind of scoundrel she was. And if it wasn't
- 1:05Speaker 1: for Epstein being arrested this second time around, and it
- 1:08Speaker 1: wasn't for all of this publicity surrounding the case, these
- 1:13Speaker 1: people would have been quite happy to keep these pictures
- 1:15Speaker 1: stashed and never have to answer for it. Because, I mean,
- 1:20Speaker 1: if you listen to the way most of these people
- 1:22Speaker 1: have gone about this sort of thing, when Ghislaine Maxwell
- 1:25Speaker 1: has been obviously someone who is in their circle and
- 1:29Speaker 1: they try and distance themselves from it, they try and
- 1:32Speaker 1: act like we don't know what we see, what the
- 1:35Speaker 1: evidence is in front of us, all of these pictures,
- 1:38Speaker 1: all of the different parties they would go to together, etc., etc.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You can't just act like you weren't close when it's
- 1:45Speaker 1: obvious you were. But the fact that she went to
- 1:49Speaker 1: a sex trafficking charity event is just, I mean, it
- 1:55Speaker 1: doesn't surprise me with her. Part of her whole entire
- 1:58Speaker 1: cover story, right? Again, her and Jeffrey Epstein were so
- 2:02Speaker 1: brazen that they were willing to go to events like
- 2:05Speaker 1: this and show their stupid ugly faces at events like this,
- 2:09Speaker 1: even though they were engaged in the very crimes that
- 2:13Speaker 1: these charity events are supposedly raising money to stop or
- 2:18Speaker 1: to help the survivors and victims of. It is... Something
- 2:24Speaker 1: that you see more and more the harder you look
- 2:28Speaker 1: when it comes to these charitable organizations. And I don't
- 2:32Speaker 1: want to malign all charitable organizations, right? I'm sure a
- 2:36Speaker 1: lot of them do good work. But I have a
- 2:38Speaker 1: bad taste in my mouth considering what we've unearthed when
- 2:42Speaker 1: we've dug into this story. It's just, it seems like
- 2:45Speaker 1: every single one of these disgusting people has some sort
- 2:49Speaker 1: of charity that they use as a shield. for their behavior.
- 2:55Speaker 1: So let's jump into the article by the Daily Mail
- 2:58Speaker 1: and see what's going on with Ghislaine Maxwell at this
- 3:01Speaker 1: charity event in 2013. She's got some nerve. Ghislaine Maxwell
- 3:08Speaker 1: was pictured at charity event to stop sex trafficking before
- 3:12Speaker 1: her arrest for procuring girls for Jeffrey Epstein. This article
- 3:18Speaker 1: was authored by Keith Griffith. Again, Every time we get
- 3:23Speaker 1: into an article here or something new breaks in this story,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I wonder if we're in some sort of bad book, right?
- 3:31Speaker 1: This can't be real. These people can't actually operate this way.
- 3:34Speaker 1: They can't be this stupid. And yet here we are.
- 3:38Speaker 1: They are this stupid and they think we're even stupider.
- 3:41Speaker 1: These people think that they can operate and do these
- 3:46Speaker 1: sort of things online. right under our noses, and there's
- 3:51Speaker 1: nothing we can do about it. That's how they felt,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and until recently, that's how it's been. But you see
- 3:58Speaker 1: a wave recently of people like Ghislaine Maxwell, and in, say,
- 4:03Speaker 1: the NXIVM case, people like Keith Ranieri and Allison Mack
- 4:06Speaker 1: and Bronfman, you see them all caught up, and it
- 4:10Speaker 1: definitely looks like things are starting to turn when it
- 4:15Speaker 1: comes to situations like this, And again, that's because of
- 4:18Speaker 1: the public outcry, right? Because of folks like you writing
- 4:21Speaker 1: to your senators, writing to your congresspeople, blowing this story up,
- 4:25Speaker 1: never stopped talking about it, the whole thing. And without that,
- 4:30Speaker 1: this story would have again been swept under the rug
- 4:33Speaker 1: and lost in the news cycle. Because you all know
- 4:36Speaker 1: we have a 24-hour news cycle for the most part.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Things come and they go. Even really serious, important things.
- 4:44Speaker 1: But this story has had a lot of staying power
- 4:47Speaker 1: And that's a testament to the people who are interested
- 4:49Speaker 1: in the story and interested in finding justice. A photo
- 4:55Speaker 1: has emerged showing accused sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell at a
- 4:58Speaker 1: charity event to oppose sex trafficking prior to her arrest.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Maxwell smiling. is seen at the 2013 fundraiser for Stop
- 5:08Speaker 1: the Trafficking of People in New York's Meatpacking District, posing
- 5:12Speaker 1: with the group's founder, Celia Dallavarine. So again, they're hobnobbing with,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know, the so-called members of polite society. You got
- 5:24Speaker 1: the bipedal serpent, Ghislaine Maxwell, slithering amongst them. God knows
- 5:30Speaker 1: what sort of banter she's running with them. God knows
- 5:34Speaker 1: how many of them are aware of what she has
- 5:36Speaker 1: going on. And I'll tell you what, I don't believe
- 5:39Speaker 1: all of these people. Do you even think that what
- 5:42Speaker 1: are the odds that all of these people that were
- 5:45Speaker 1: close to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, people that were
- 5:48Speaker 1: around them a lot? I don't mean just at dinner parties.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I'm talking at the houses, you know, at the various
- 5:55Speaker 1: different properties and spent an ample amount of time with them.
- 5:59Speaker 1: How many of them people do you actually believe when
- 6:02Speaker 1: they say, oh, well, you know, I don't know anything
- 6:04Speaker 1: about this at all. I mean, you know, I was
- 6:06Speaker 1: only with Jeffrey Epstein 17 hours a day for four
- 6:09Speaker 1: days a week. I don't know, though. I have no idea.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I don't believe any of those kinds of people. And
- 6:15Speaker 1: we see it all the time here with Ghislaine Maxwell
- 6:17Speaker 1: and Jeffrey Epstein and all of these people who had
- 6:23Speaker 1: some sort of close relationship with them. She's got some nerve,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but I am not surprised, DeLavarine told The Sun. I've
- 6:36Speaker 1: come to realize that these people need to appear to
- 6:38Speaker 1: be doing good and make people believe it, for sure.
- 6:42Speaker 1: They're always, always trying to show up at an event
- 6:46Speaker 1: like this, especially Ghislaine Maxwell after Epstein's arrest, right? She
- 6:50Speaker 1: was on a tour. She was on a Refurbish My
- 6:53Speaker 1: Image tour. She was invited to Jeff Bezos' little retreats
- 6:56Speaker 1: for the special people retreat that they would have, invite only.
- 7:03Speaker 1: She was invited to that. She did TED Talk. She
- 7:05Speaker 1: did all kinds of stuff, all sorts of stuff. And
- 7:08Speaker 1: she would show up at events like this because, again,
- 7:11Speaker 1: she wanted it to look like she had nothing to
- 7:13Speaker 1: do with anything that has to do with sex trafficking.
- 7:17Speaker 1: She was a well-seasoned asset in my opinion, folks. Somebody
- 7:20Speaker 1: that knew her game, knew her craft, and understood a
- 7:25Speaker 1: good cover story and a good lie has a sprinkle
- 7:28Speaker 1: of truth in it. In July, Maxwell was arrested in
- 7:33Speaker 1: New Hampshire and federally charged with enticement of minors and
- 7:37Speaker 1: sex trafficking of children in connection with her decades-long association
- 7:41Speaker 1: with pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein. The photo from 2013 shows
- 7:49Speaker 1: Maxwell posing with Da Laverine, French ambassador to the U.S.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Franchois Deletre, French fashion designer Catherine Malandrino, Bic Pen fortune
- 8:01Speaker 1: heir Bruno Bic, and Baroness Veronique Bic. So that's a
- 8:06Speaker 1: who's who, huh? Hanging out with the French fashion designers,
- 8:10Speaker 1: the heirs to the Bic Pen fortune. And speaking of that,
- 8:14Speaker 1: imagine that's where you got your fortune, your family created
- 8:17Speaker 1: the big pen. That's a lot of money for that
- 8:23Speaker 1: sort of creation. And I think about that kind of
- 8:25Speaker 1: thing all the time, not to digress, but I mean
- 8:28Speaker 1: these contraptions like, say, a pen or like the toilet
- 8:31Speaker 1: paper rolls. These people are making money hand over fist
- 8:35Speaker 1: for shit like that. So when you hear about people like,
- 8:39Speaker 1: you know, this big pen fortune heir, Bruno Bick and
- 8:43Speaker 1: his wife, the Baroness Veronique Bick. Oh, yeah. How many
- 8:48Speaker 1: pens are sold? I'm sure there's a whole lot of
- 8:51Speaker 1: pens being sold on a daily basis. And these people
- 8:54Speaker 1: are getting their pockets fatter and fatter and fatter. And meanwhile,
- 9:00Speaker 1: while they're accumulating an ungodly amount of wealth, an ungodly
- 9:05Speaker 1: amount of power. They think it's a good idea to
- 9:09Speaker 1: take pictures with Ghislaine Maxwell. You're the heir to this
- 9:13Speaker 1: huge fortune, but you don't know who Ghislaine Maxwell is.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Nobody in your crew, nobody that is with you, has
- 9:23Speaker 1: the good sense to check on these sorts of people
- 9:27Speaker 1: before you take pictures with them. The charity group funds
- 9:34Speaker 1: rescue centers for girls and women who escape sex traffickers
- 9:37Speaker 1: so they are not forced back onto the streets. And
- 9:40Speaker 1: I give that thumbs up, right? Look, I don't know
- 9:44Speaker 1: much about this charity group per se, and hopefully they
- 9:47Speaker 1: do do good work, right? Hopefully they're doing this and
- 9:50Speaker 1: this money is going to what they say it's going to.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And they are providing for these girls who have escaped
- 9:57Speaker 1: from this horrible, horrible plague that is affecting the whole world,
- 10:02Speaker 1: which is sex trafficking. And hopefully they're not grifting this money.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And it's hard for me to not be cynical when
- 10:10Speaker 1: it comes to these charities because we've seen so much
- 10:15Speaker 1: unearthed when it comes to the Finsen Files. when it
- 10:18Speaker 1: comes to what we've read here in these articles, and
- 10:20Speaker 1: just from the general day-to-day behavior of these people. So hopefully,
- 10:26Speaker 1: this charity group is giving this money to the areas
- 10:31Speaker 1: where they say that they're working. Because, again, how much
- 10:36Speaker 1: of the money actually goes to these causes, and how
- 10:39Speaker 1: much of it goes to bureaucrats and the people on
- 10:42Speaker 1: the boards, etc., etc.? you know, before I donate to anything,
- 10:46Speaker 1: I do a stringent search of that group to make
- 10:51Speaker 1: sure that the money is going where they say it's
- 10:53Speaker 1: going because it's unfortunate, but there are way too many grifters,
- 10:58Speaker 1: especially in a high society, so-called polite New York society.
- 11:06Speaker 1: At the swanky fundraiser, Maxwell looked on as Dollar Trey
- 11:10Speaker 1: gave an impassioned speech supporting the group's mission and speaking
- 11:14Speaker 1: out against sex trafficking. Well, good for her giving an
- 11:18Speaker 1: impassioned speech, but I don't know how anyone at that
- 11:21Speaker 1: event could look at Maxwell and not be side-eyeing her
- 11:25Speaker 1: and saying, what in the F is this lady doing here?
- 11:27Speaker 1: I know who that is. I know what she's up to.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And she's at this sex trafficking event? I mean, it
- 11:33Speaker 1: takes a huge pair of stones to make a move
- 11:37Speaker 1: like this. Maxwell, 58, has been held without bail since
- 11:42Speaker 1: her July arrest on charges that she recruited teenage girls
- 11:46Speaker 1: for Epstein to abuse in the mid-90s and sometimes join
- 11:51Speaker 1: the abuse. She has pleaded not guilty. The investigation into
- 11:55Speaker 1: Epstein remains active, leading prosecutors said Tuesday as they argued
- 12:00Speaker 1: to keep 40 pages of photos and 40 pages of
- 12:04Speaker 1: documents about his survivors, a secret from Ghislaine Maxwell. So
- 12:09Speaker 1: we've talked, we talked about this, but it does foreshadow
- 12:13Speaker 1: more indictments and a much more vast investigation than they
- 12:18Speaker 1: let on even just a few months ago. So it
- 12:23Speaker 1: looks like things are moving at a rapid pace within
- 12:26Speaker 1: the prosecutor's office and Alison Moe has shown herself to
- 12:31Speaker 1: be somebody with some honor and somebody who really wants
- 12:34Speaker 1: to get down and figure out what the hell happened
- 12:37Speaker 1: here and bring justice to those who deserve it. And
- 12:41Speaker 1: up until this point, we've had a lot of limp-wristed
- 12:43Speaker 1: prosecutors who haven't really been willing to get down into
- 12:46Speaker 1: the weeds and go to the mattresses. But Alison Moe
- 12:49Speaker 1: seems to be a cut above the rest. Manhattan prosecutors
- 12:55Speaker 1: say they want to delay giving materials from dozens of
- 12:58Speaker 1: survivors cooperating with the government and who will not testify
- 13:03Speaker 1: at trial to lawyers for the British socialite, co-conspirator, fellow
- 13:08Speaker 1: child abuser, general all-around scumbag and bipedal serpent, you mean?
- 13:13Speaker 1: They told the judge in a letter that they want
- 13:15Speaker 1: to try to prevent lawyers for Epstein's incarcerated ex-girlfriend, co-conspirator,
- 13:20Speaker 1: fellow child abuser, general all-around scumbag and bipedal serpent, from
- 13:26Speaker 1: learning too much about the files until two months before
- 13:30Speaker 1: her criminal trial next summer. So you know the federal
- 13:34Speaker 1: government means business, right? They're leaving her out to blow
- 13:37Speaker 1: in the wind. They want her thinking about who she's
- 13:40Speaker 1: going to rat on, who she's willing to give up,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and what sort of deal she's looking to kick. Because
- 13:46Speaker 1: they're going to really go hard here. And when the
- 13:49Speaker 1: United States federal government truly is going after somebody to
- 13:52Speaker 1: prosecute them, they have a very, very high rate of
- 13:57Speaker 1: successful prosecutions or plea deals. And the federal government, you
- 14:03Speaker 1: don't want to play games like this with them. They
- 14:05Speaker 1: will litigate you into the poorhouse, first of all. Second
- 14:09Speaker 1: of all, when they have this kind of evidence... It's
- 14:13Speaker 1: pretty much a wrap for this lady. I mean, she's
- 14:15Speaker 1: going through the motions and she has to defend herself,
- 14:18Speaker 1: but this is money wasted, in my opinion. And she's
- 14:21Speaker 1: in for a big, rude awakening come the trial. The
- 14:27Speaker 1: active probe leaves open the possibility of additional arrests. The
- 14:32Speaker 1: files are said to include school pictures and bank and
- 14:35Speaker 1: travel records. Yeah, look, we know that this large probe,
- 14:39Speaker 1: an active grand jury... the Epstein case still being live,
- 14:44Speaker 1: it all points to more indictments, more arrests, and more
- 14:48Speaker 1: people being held responsible for their roles. And I am
- 14:53Speaker 1: pretty convinced that we're going to see that. When we're
- 14:57Speaker 1: going to see it, I don't know. Look, I'm not
- 14:59Speaker 1: part of the California Psychics Network. I have no idea.
- 15:03Speaker 1: But I do think that we will be seeing it
- 15:06Speaker 1: sooner rather than later as this Gross. And before her trial,
- 15:11Speaker 1: by the way, because I think it's going to be
- 15:14Speaker 1: more expansive than we even think. Maxwell has hired New
- 15:19Speaker 1: York based lawyer who has previously represented one of Osama
- 15:22Speaker 1: bin Laden's hedgemen as she seeks to bolster her team
- 15:26Speaker 1: ahead of her trial. Bobby Sternheim is described on the
- 15:30Speaker 1: website of her law firm. Fazulo Braverman and DiMaggio as
- 15:35Speaker 1: a recognized leader in litigating difficult and complex cases, i.e.
- 15:41Speaker 1: RICO cases. She's definitely been brought in to help with
- 15:45Speaker 1: the RICO case. They know that this is expanding and
- 15:48Speaker 1: it's more broad than they even thought. And when they
- 15:51Speaker 1: got the 328,000 plus pages of discovery, they truly understood
- 15:58Speaker 1: the behemoth that was on their hands. So they brought
- 16:01Speaker 1: in some help, a big gun, someone that knows how
- 16:03Speaker 1: to litigate when it comes to RICO. And the lawyers
- 16:08Speaker 1: for Maxwell are looking like they're ready to really engage
- 16:13Speaker 1: in some trench warfare here. Epstein, 66, died in what
- 16:19Speaker 1: was ruled a suicide in August 2019 while he was
- 16:23Speaker 1: housed at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, a federal lockup adjacent
- 16:27Speaker 1: to Manhattan federal courthouses. At the time, he faced federal
- 16:34Speaker 1: sex trafficking charges and was held without bail a month
- 16:38Speaker 1: after his arrest. Prosecutors want to delay turning materials from
- 16:42Speaker 1: some victims over to defense until eight weeks before her trial,
- 16:47Speaker 1: scheduled for July. A message seeking comment was left with
- 16:51Speaker 1: lawyers for Maxwell. Prosecutors said defense lawyers have indicated they
- 16:56Speaker 1: will oppose the secrecy request. Oh, of course they will. Look,
- 17:00Speaker 1: like I said, they're ready to go for it now,
- 17:02Speaker 1: especially they got Bobby Sternheim on board. They got a
- 17:06Speaker 1: woman who can go into the trenches and really battle
- 17:08Speaker 1: with Alison Moe and Maureen Comey and get it on.
- 17:13Speaker 1: And that's what they were looking for, right? They knew
- 17:16Speaker 1: that with the 328,000 documents turned over and the fact
- 17:23Speaker 1: that there's an ongoing investigation as far as the grand
- 17:26Speaker 1: jury is concerned, and the Epstein case, excuse me, is
- 17:30Speaker 1: still open, you know her legal team is not stupid.
- 17:33Speaker 1: They might be a lot of things, but they're not stupid.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And they see the writing on the wall. They know
- 17:38Speaker 1: what's coming. They're trying to get ahead of it. They're
- 17:42Speaker 1: trying to get ahead of it right now, bring in
- 17:44Speaker 1: Bobby Sternheim. That way, they're ready for when these few
- 17:48Speaker 1: charges that she has right now bloom like you were
- 17:53Speaker 1: watering your chia pet, right? Because it's coming, in my opinion.
- 18:02Speaker 1: In its letter, prosecutors said revealing 40 pages of photographs
- 18:07Speaker 1: and 40 pages of documents related to Epstein's survivors who
- 18:10Speaker 1: were harmed after the time span by the charges against
- 18:14Speaker 1: Maxwell could jeopardize the government's ongoing investigation and scare other
- 18:19Speaker 1: survivors from cooperating. And it could blow hole in a
- 18:24Speaker 1: further charge, a charge that they haven't hit her with yet, right?
- 18:27Speaker 1: In a superseded charge to the indictment. So they're going
- 18:31Speaker 1: to play it close to the vest. And when the
- 18:33Speaker 1: time is right, I think it's going to be a
- 18:36Speaker 1: nuclear strike to Ghislaine Maxwell and her hopes of beating this.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Prosecutors said charges against Maxwell pertain to illegal sex acts
- 18:47Speaker 1: that occurred between 1994 and 1997. But the indictment emerged
- 18:52Speaker 1: from a wider probe that went beyond that period. And again,
- 18:57Speaker 1: we talked about that, the large scope of this case.
- 19:00Speaker 1: It's broad. It is vast. It is wide. And there's
- 19:04Speaker 1: a lot of people caught up in it. I wish
- 19:07Speaker 1: we had access to those sealed indictments. I wish we
- 19:10Speaker 1: knew who was under investigation right now. Now, we can speculate, right?
- 19:14Speaker 1: And we most certainly have the core four, most certainly.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel, most certainly. And I believe there's some others.
- 19:22Speaker 1: There's going to be some surprises that we weren't thinking of.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I mean, or maybe thinking of, but not thinking that
- 19:29Speaker 1: they would ever have to face the music. I think
- 19:32Speaker 1: a guy like Glenn Dubin is in serious jeopardy, folks.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I think he is in serious jeopardy. And obviously that
- 19:40Speaker 1: story will be told over the coming months. And as
- 19:44Speaker 1: we learn more and more about what went on. And again, remember,
- 19:49Speaker 1: we're going to see real soon what the appeals court
- 19:52Speaker 1: has to say about the depositions as well. So there
- 19:56Speaker 1: is a lot more coming and we can expect this
- 20:00Speaker 1: wild ride to continue on the path of bumpiness, corkscrews, twists,
- 20:08Speaker 1: and all other sorts of incredibly crazy turns. Because every
- 20:18Speaker 1: time we turn around, there's something else going on in
- 20:20Speaker 1: this case where you're like, holy shit, is that for real?
- 20:22Speaker 1: Is this really happening? How is that even possible? How
- 20:26Speaker 1: didn't anyone know? So it's always something new. And now,
- 20:31Speaker 1: as we get closer and closer to the trial, we're
- 20:34Speaker 1: going to be hearing a lot more about what was
- 20:37Speaker 1: going on as far as the inner workings of the
- 20:46Speaker 1: criminal enterprise. We're going to hear a lot more about that,
- 20:50Speaker 1: I think, coming forward as other people get arrested and
- 20:55Speaker 1: who knows who is cooperating, right? So as discovery comes
- 20:59Speaker 1: closer and more of these documents are released, it is
- 21:03Speaker 1: more likely that That we're going to find out some
- 21:06Speaker 1: things that we had no idea about. So, it's starting
- 21:13Speaker 1: to heat up, folks. And it's starting to become a
- 21:16Speaker 1: situation where it's time to buckle up your seatbelts. We're
