- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven to ten O R.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Boy.
- 0:03Speaker 3: The Mark Simoon Show starts.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Now, Well, President is in Davos as we speak. He's
- 0:12Speaker 1: speaking in Davos, actually done with the speech, but doing
- 0:17Speaker 1: a little question to answer. We'll get to Davos. We'll
- 0:19Speaker 1: get to his speech. We'll get to Ice Holman, Obama.
- 0:24Speaker 1: We'll get to Minnesota. Who's going to get arrested there?
- 0:27Speaker 1: Who's under investigation?
- 0:28Speaker 4: Now?
- 0:29Speaker 1: The Clintons have a legal problem. They are in legal
- 0:31Speaker 1: jeopardy at the moment. We'll find out later today. We'll
- 0:35Speaker 1: get to that. We'll get to Mom Donnie, We'll get
- 0:38Speaker 1: to New Jersey. All that's wrong with you people in
- 0:41Speaker 1: New Jersey? Do you look at the governors you elect.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It's a big state. You got all these people to
- 0:47Speaker 1: choose for me, you see the people you elect as governor.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Will get to that and more coming up. Well, now
- 0:55Speaker 1: President Trump is supposed to go to Davos. You know
- 0:58Speaker 1: it's been a grueling week for him. Remember the football
- 1:04Speaker 1: When was the college football championship? That was Monday night? Right, Yeah,
- 1:08Speaker 1: So Monday night he flies to that in Miami. He
- 1:12Speaker 1: gets home late, doesn't get much sleep. Tuesday night he's
- 1:15Speaker 1: up tweeting all night, and then that was last night.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And then remember yesterday, Big day, and he did a
- 1:22Speaker 1: grueling ninety four minute press conference yesterday. And after all
- 1:28Speaker 1: of that he leaves for Davos. They get on air
- 1:30Speaker 1: Force one. They're heading to Davos, Switzerland. On the way there,
- 1:34Speaker 1: the electrical system has all kinds of problems. The lights
- 1:37Speaker 1: go out at one point, something's wrong with the electrical
- 1:40Speaker 1: system in the plane. This is air Force one. They
- 1:43Speaker 1: decide they have to turn around and go back to
- 1:45Speaker 1: Washington and switch planes. There's another air Force one. It's
- 1:49Speaker 1: actually two planes, and they go back. They have to
- 1:53Speaker 1: switch to the other plane. And I remember these air
- 1:57Speaker 1: Force one planes are like forty five years old. They're very,
- 2:01Speaker 1: very old planes. They need to be replaced. In his
- 2:04Speaker 1: first term, President Trump worked out a great contract with
- 2:08Speaker 1: Boeing at an incredible price to get new air Force ones.
- 2:12Speaker 1: But they're not ready yet. This is how many years later,
- 2:15Speaker 1: five six years later, still working on them. And remember
- 2:18Speaker 1: Cutter donated that incredible seven forty seven eight like jumbo,
- 2:24Speaker 1: even better than air Force one plane. But that's still
- 2:28Speaker 1: not finished. We took a possession of it and it's
- 2:30Speaker 1: at Boeing. It's got to be fitted with all the
- 2:33Speaker 1: Air Force one stuff and the security and all that.
- 2:36Speaker 1: It's still not finished. Takes years to do this stuff
- 2:38Speaker 1: in these planes. So then the president left. Now they
- 2:42Speaker 1: were able to speed up. You can actually do that,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know, even a regular plane that you're flying on.
- 2:48Speaker 1: You know, we're cruising at five hundred miles and well
- 2:50Speaker 1: they can actually crank it up to eight hundred nine
- 2:52Speaker 1: hundred if they have to, every flight would be half
- 2:55Speaker 1: the time. Now you sing, why don't they do that,
- 2:57Speaker 1: because you'd burn a lot more fuel and would cost
- 3:01Speaker 1: them twice as much to fly the plane. But he
- 3:04Speaker 1: got there, still got there a couple hours late, but
- 3:07Speaker 1: somehow the speech started on time. The big headline of
- 3:10Speaker 1: the speech he did say, as far as Greenland, he
- 3:13Speaker 1: would not use force. He will not use force in
- 3:17Speaker 1: any way. And I was just negotiating. And he did
- 3:20Speaker 1: point out, you know all this green Land stuff. There
- 3:22Speaker 1: are a lot of people that act like, what a
- 3:24Speaker 1: crazy idea? What is this with him in Greenland? Where
- 3:27Speaker 1: the hell did he come up with this? Well, this
- 3:29Speaker 1: is every president. This is not a new idea. Every
- 3:32Speaker 1: president since Abraham Lincoln has wanted to get Greenland, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: we have tried in the past six times to buy Greenland.
- 3:40Speaker 1: In the past, the most serious effort was probably Harry Truman,
- 3:45Speaker 1: who really really wanted it badly, but didn't get it done.
- 3:49Speaker 1: We actually captured Greenland in our World War two victory,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but we immediately gave it back. Kind of a stupid
- 3:57Speaker 1: thing there. But I think he will be the first president.
- 4:01Speaker 1: A lot of presidents have tried to get Greenland. He'll
- 4:03Speaker 1: be the first to get it done. It's vital, really
- 4:06Speaker 1: important for strategic reasons, military reasons, and if we ever
- 4:10Speaker 1: want to do that Golden Dome to protect us from missiles,
- 4:13Speaker 1: it's crucial to doing that. It's a really big deal militarily.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So he'll get it done. He's got another three years.
- 4:21Speaker 1: He'll get it done before he's done. So he did
- 4:25Speaker 1: kind of lecture the Europeans. Now this Davos used to be,
- 4:30Speaker 1: you know, all about climate change and green and woke
- 4:34Speaker 1: and left wing. That's all gone now Davos doesn't do
- 4:37Speaker 1: that anymore. That was the founder, the guy that ran
- 4:40Speaker 1: at Klaus Schwab. He had to leave in scandal last year.
- 4:44Speaker 1: So it's now the new chairman is the head of
- 4:47Speaker 1: black Rock a hedge fund. So now it's strictly an
- 4:50Speaker 1: economic forum. There's no left wing stuff, there's no green stuff.
- 4:54Speaker 1: But Trump did throw a little of that in there,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and you know, kind of ridiculed the Europeans because over
- 4:59Speaker 1: the last few years they got involved in windmills and
- 5:03Speaker 1: green energy and it all failed miserably. They weren't able
- 5:06Speaker 1: to get any power, enough power out of it. Most
- 5:09Speaker 1: of the time there wasn't enough wind. And if you
- 5:12Speaker 1: did get any power from the green energy, it costs
- 5:14Speaker 1: like five times as much as the fossil fuels did.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It was an absolute disaster. And these countries that went windmills,
- 5:21Speaker 1: like Germany and others, had to rip them all out
- 5:23Speaker 1: and go back to the regular stuff. He did point
- 5:25Speaker 1: that out to them. They weren't too thrilled to hear it,
- 5:28Speaker 1: but he did point it out to them. Now, well,
- 5:32Speaker 1: the other thing I forgot to mention, keep an eye
- 5:35Speaker 1: on this weekend. There's a threat of a big snowstorm
- 5:37Speaker 1: this weekend that could begin Saturday night or Sunday morning
- 5:42Speaker 1: and go through until Monday morning. Now it could be
- 5:44Speaker 1: four inches, some models suggest double digits. It could be
- 5:49Speaker 1: a major blizzard, but we'll see. Way too early to
- 5:52Speaker 1: be sure. Most meteorologists now are leading towards the four
- 5:55Speaker 1: inch model. But again, what's today Wednesday? Forecasts is really
- 6:00Speaker 1: only good for about three days. You know they always
- 6:03Speaker 1: give you here's a five day forecast. Well, secretly they
- 6:06Speaker 1: all realized forecasts really only hold up for three days.
- 6:08Speaker 1: So still too early to tell, but just bear that
- 6:11Speaker 1: in mind for this weekend. And even if there isn't
- 6:14Speaker 1: a lot of snow, it's going to be unbelievably cold
- 6:17Speaker 1: at night. It'll go down to like seven degrees. So
- 6:20Speaker 1: just remember that for this weekend. Hey, in Minnesota, expect
- 6:25Speaker 1: now there's investigations going on. Tim Waltz, the governor, Mayor
- 6:30Speaker 1: Fry that sleevesball, dirty, Attorney General Ellison. They've all been
- 6:37Speaker 1: hit with subpoenas to turn over evidence, communications, all sorts
- 6:40Speaker 1: of stuff. They're being looked out, looked at for conspiracy
- 6:44Speaker 1: to harass and obstruct ice the people that went into
- 6:49Speaker 1: the church and stopped the service in church and disrupted it.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Expect them to get indicted. That could happen very soon.
- 6:57Speaker 1: It's a clear violation of law. The losses. You cannot
- 7:01Speaker 1: enter a house of worship of any kind and intimidate
- 7:05Speaker 1: or interrupt a service. You can't do. It's illegal, it's
- 7:07Speaker 1: a crime. So expect them to get arrested. Expect Don
- 7:10Speaker 1: Lemon most likely to be included in those arrests. Now
- 7:16Speaker 1: here's the amazing thing that nobody seems to well, you'll
- 7:20Speaker 1: see it here and there, but not enough people focus
- 7:22Speaker 1: on it. The idea that you would send ice into
- 7:26Speaker 1: American cities and that they would grab people off the
- 7:31Speaker 1: streets and arrest people. You know, pull up in cars
- 7:35Speaker 1: and grab people and throw them in the car and
- 7:37Speaker 1: take them away and then deport them. The idea of
- 7:40Speaker 1: this comes from Barack Obama. It was his operation. He
- 7:46Speaker 1: did this in his administration. He had ICE go into
- 7:49Speaker 1: American cities, grab people off the streets, illegals, and we're
- 7:54Speaker 1: especially looking for illegals who had committed crimes. They would
- 7:57Speaker 1: grab them, sweep them up, deport them, throw them the
- 8:01Speaker 1: hell out. Now who did Obama put in charge of
- 8:04Speaker 1: this operation? Who did he have run this operation? Well,
- 8:08Speaker 1: it was Tom Homan. And if you look at my
- 8:11Speaker 1: Twitter you can see some pictures that are pretty good.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Homan did such a great job. They were able to
- 8:16Speaker 1: arrest about two million illegals and deport them. This is
- 8:19Speaker 1: Obama and Homan did such a good job running this operation.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's on my Twitter. You can see the picture of
- 8:26Speaker 1: Barack Obama awarding Homan with this special metal, putting the
- 8:32Speaker 1: metal around his neck, this Distinguished Service Presidential award. And
- 8:38Speaker 1: Obama was very proud of this operation. We go on
- 8:40Speaker 1: TV all the time and talk about how they were
- 8:42Speaker 1: sweeping up illegals off the street. Ice was out there.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Obama loved to brag about it.
- 8:46Speaker 4: If you're a criminal, you'll be deported. If you plan
- 8:49Speaker 4: to enter the US illegally, your chances of getting caught
- 8:53Speaker 4: and sent back just went up. The actions I'm taking
- 8:58Speaker 4: are not only lawful, so are the kinds of actions
- 9:01Speaker 4: taken by every single Republican president and every single Democratic
- 9:04Speaker 4: president for the past half century.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And what a Democrats do doing all this nothing. They
- 9:11Speaker 1: liked it. They like it was Obama great, they loved it.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I gotta be honest. You're Democrats. You are the nuttiest
- 9:19Speaker 1: party I have ever seen. There's something that's just fine
- 9:23Speaker 1: with you. You love it. It's great. Then as soon
- 9:24Speaker 1: as Trump does it, you're out in the streets screaming
- 9:26Speaker 1: and yelling like, what the hell give Republicans credit for
- 9:31Speaker 1: one thing. You can go back five years, ten years,
- 9:33Speaker 1: fifteen years. They pretty much stand for the same principles Democrats.
- 9:37Speaker 1: You go back five years, there for something totally different.
- 9:40Speaker 1: You go back twenty years, they're completely the opposite, totally.
- 9:43Speaker 1: They just keep flip flopping. And now all this video
- 9:46Speaker 1: of Obama praising Ice and bragging about how they're in
- 9:50Speaker 1: the streets in our cities, arresting illegals, rounding them up,
- 9:53Speaker 1: all that video of him doing that, A lot of
- 9:55Speaker 1: people think somebody should put that together and run that
- 9:58Speaker 1: as a commercial during the super Bowl and then end
- 10:03Speaker 1: it with the video of him putting the metal around
- 10:06Speaker 1: Tom Holman's neck. It would be a great idea. We
- 10:09Speaker 1: got a lot of very wealthy donor types listening. If
- 10:12Speaker 1: one of you would do that, it's a good idea.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Run that during the super Bowl. I'm sure the President
- 10:19Speaker 1: has heard of this idea. Maybe he can get somebody
- 10:22Speaker 1: to do it. The Clinton's got a big problem. He
- 10:25Speaker 1: had a big, huge problem. They've been called to testify
- 10:27Speaker 1: before the committee on Jeffrey Epstein. Now nobody was closer
- 10:32Speaker 1: to Epstein than the Clintons, nobody was more tangled up
- 10:37Speaker 1: with Epstein than the Clintons. And I don't think I
- 10:40Speaker 1: had anything to do with any young girls, but they
- 10:42Speaker 1: were very heavily involved with Epstein financially, business wise, all
- 10:48Speaker 1: sorts of stuff. It was Epstein that helped start the
- 10:50Speaker 1: Clinton Global Initiative. You could have called it the Clinton
- 10:53Speaker 1: Epstein Global Initiative. And I'm sure Bill there were a
- 10:58Speaker 1: lot of women there. Now, one thing about Epstein, if
- 11:00Speaker 1: you were around back then at those parties and all
- 11:02Speaker 1: that stuff, it wasn't just young girls. He had a
- 11:05Speaker 1: lot of young girls there because that's what he liked.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And I'm sure some of his friends might have liked that.
- 11:09Speaker 1: But for the most part, it was whatever you wanted.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Bill Clinton loved forty year old fluosies. Epstein had a
- 11:15Speaker 1: lot of them. Bill Gates like those mousey librarian types.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Epstein had a lot of them around. So it was
- 11:21Speaker 1: whatever you liked. But Congress has subpoenaed the Clintons to
- 11:25Speaker 1: testify in front of the committee closed door hearing, but
- 11:30Speaker 1: the Clintons refused. They defied the subpoena, which is highly illegal.
- 11:35Speaker 1: You're not allowed to just defy Congressional subpoenas. Now, Steve
- 11:41Speaker 1: Bannon did that, he was sent to prison. Peter Navarro
- 11:44Speaker 1: did that, he was sent to prison. This is the
- 11:46Speaker 1: Merrick Garland Joe Biden's standard. So the Clintons could be
- 11:52Speaker 1: convicted of defying Congress. Now, I don't know what will happened,
- 11:55Speaker 1: but they're taking the vote today on whether to refer
- 11:59Speaker 1: this for criminal charges. The Clintons still refuse to testify.
- 12:03Speaker 1: They've sent word through their attorneys that they could offer
- 12:07Speaker 1: a written statement. They might be willing to do a
- 12:09Speaker 1: video that they would send in. This is not good enough.
- 12:13Speaker 1: You can't defy the congressional subpoena. But again it's Democrats.
- 12:18Speaker 1: You paint will change your whole philosophy principles every two seconds. Now,
- 12:23Speaker 1: back a couple of years ago, you had to go
- 12:25Speaker 1: to prison immediately if you defied a congressional subpoena, just
- 12:28Speaker 1: like Bannon did. But of course, if you go back
- 12:32Speaker 1: to the Obama era when Eric Holder defied a subpoena, no,
- 12:36Speaker 1: it's okay. Again it's Democrats. They flip flop all over
- 12:39Speaker 1: the place, but it looks different this time. When they
- 12:42Speaker 1: take the vote today, Republicans will vote to have criminal
- 12:47Speaker 1: charges against the Clintons. It looks like a lot of
- 12:49Speaker 1: Democrats might vote for that too. Now you said, well,
- 12:53Speaker 1: why would they have a fellow Democrat. Why would they Well,
- 12:56Speaker 1: because they don't really take Bill Clinton seriously anymore. They
- 12:59Speaker 1: don't think of him is a big fellow Democrat. They
- 13:01Speaker 1: think of him as an old dinosaur relic from the past.
- 13:05Speaker 1: These are today's Democrats. They're not Bill Clinton fans. He's
- 13:08Speaker 1: a totally different animal than today's Democrats. So Clinton's very
- 13:12Speaker 1: worried about this vote today. Keep an eye on it.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Anything could happen. Mom Donnie was on the View yesterday,
- 13:21Speaker 1: but it was perfect for him. You got these you know,
- 13:24Speaker 1: four clucking hands and Mom Donnie sitting there, and these
- 13:28Speaker 1: are not the brightest women on the view. That's not
- 13:31Speaker 1: exactly the high IQ show. And you know, Mom Donnie
- 13:35Speaker 1: can talk very fast, and he's a very articular guy.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Or you took a mile in a minute, and these
- 13:39Speaker 1: View people they can't really keep up with him. But
- 13:41Speaker 1: they were asking him all the standard you know, Minnesota.
- 13:44Speaker 5: People ask me, why did I say the word murder?
- 13:46Speaker 5: I asked him to look at that video and tell
- 13:47Speaker 5: me what they would call it, and we are being
- 13:50Speaker 5: asked to not believe our own eyes. It's time to
- 13:52Speaker 5: be truthful with people. It is terrifying to see what's
- 13:55Speaker 5: happening there, and it's terrifying to see all of this
- 13:58Speaker 5: happening in the name of public safety. And I've said
- 14:00Speaker 5: this directly to the President that these ice rates, they
- 14:03Speaker 5: are cruel, they're inhumane, They do nothing to deliver that
- 14:06Speaker 5: public safety. In fact, what they do is leave a
- 14:08Speaker 5: sense of fear amongst so many.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Well, first of all, there is no court anywhere in
- 14:14Speaker 1: the world that would call this murder. This cop, no
- 14:18Speaker 1: matter where you send him to trial, could not be
- 14:19Speaker 1: convicted of murder. By law. It's not murder in any way.
- 14:23Speaker 1: If he drives your car into an ICE agent, if
- 14:27Speaker 1: you'd even drive at him, he is legally allowed to fire.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Now you could find and I have there's some police
- 14:32Speaker 1: officials who've actually said, you know, he didn't have to fire.
- 14:36Speaker 1: He's legally entitled to, but he really could have let
- 14:42Speaker 1: that go. You know, they just let it go, and
- 14:43Speaker 1: they'll catch him up and catch her two blocks away.
- 14:46Speaker 1: There's some cops that will argue that put the top
- 14:48Speaker 1: ranking cops. But no matter what he was legally, okay,
- 14:53Speaker 1: firing a gun at that moment, no way, that's murder.
- 14:56Speaker 1: And then you get this, like Mamdani said to he
- 14:59Speaker 1: said to them, it just makes people less safe. And
- 15:04Speaker 1: this is the view they're all nodding like babo heash.
- 15:07Speaker 1: But if you think about it, they've taken two thousand
- 15:11Speaker 1: actual criminals out of Minneapolis, and at the press conference yesterday,
- 15:15Speaker 1: the president started holding up pictures of each one and
- 15:18Speaker 1: their rap sheet. You know, this one raped kids, this
- 15:21Speaker 1: one's a murderer, this one's a robed. You go through
- 15:25Speaker 1: this list of what they took off the streets, there's
- 15:27Speaker 1: no way you can argue that's less safe. That's the
- 15:30Speaker 1: whole idea that when you take two thousand criminals off
- 15:35Speaker 1: the streets of a city, it's gonna be safer. And
- 15:37Speaker 1: you know what's funny, the Democrats now have this policy
- 15:40Speaker 1: when you arrest the criminal, you arrest him, you take
- 15:43Speaker 1: him in, and he gets out like a half hour later.
- 15:45Speaker 1: There's no bail, there's no jail. Thanks to Andrew Cuomo
- 15:48Speaker 1: and all these Democrats, you just let them go, you
- 15:51Speaker 1: let them out. So apparently in Minnesota, a lot of
- 15:54Speaker 1: these illegal aliens, they don't really understand different types of police.
- 15:58Speaker 1: To them, ice are just other policeman. So when they're
- 16:02Speaker 1: taken in and held and not let go, apparently a
- 16:05Speaker 1: lot of them are screaming at everybody in the court,
- 16:07Speaker 1: what the hell's going on here? I'm supposed to be
- 16:09Speaker 1: out in an hour. They've they've been arrested a million times,
- 16:12Speaker 1: but they've never actually been held and not released. So
- 16:14Speaker 1: apparently some of them are going crazy because they've never
- 16:17Speaker 1: seen anything like this where you're actually held, you're not
- 16:19Speaker 1: released immediately, and they don't know what's going on. Hey,
- 16:22Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three two one
- 16:26Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 16:30Speaker 1: one zero seven ten.
- 16:32Speaker 5: The Mark Simoniell on seventen.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Wor Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Mike
- 16:41Speaker 1: in Florida. Mike, how you doing?
- 16:44Speaker 6: Good morning?
- 16:44Speaker 7: Mark?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Hey down there in Florida. Is is it cold now?
- 16:47Speaker 8: I keep hearing, well, it was the last couple of
- 16:51Speaker 8: days right now it's seventy three, But the last couple
- 16:54Speaker 8: of days was cold, And I've fallen into that ex
- 16:58Speaker 8: New Yorker thing where gillis mullos and I'm Chili now Yeah.
- 17:02Speaker 1: When you guys say cold, what are you talking about? Sixty?
- 17:06Speaker 8: It was forty yesterday morning when I woke up forty
- 17:10Speaker 8: five ish and uh it, you know, warms up pretty well,
- 17:14Speaker 8: but once I get that chill.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's terrible, sir. You're right, yeah, anyway, you know, Uh,
- 17:22Speaker 1: what'd you want to what do you want to?
- 17:25Speaker 8: No, you were mentioning about how the Democrats, you know, constantly,
- 17:28Speaker 8: you know, change their positions, and it's absolutely right, you know,
- 17:30Speaker 8: because they're interested in winning whatever victory it is, whether
- 17:35Speaker 8: it's a little one or a big one, they'll take it.
- 17:37Speaker 8: The Republicans can't be bothered, you know. And to illustrate
- 17:41Speaker 8: that for the last two days now, you said, you know,
- 17:43Speaker 8: Trump had a ninety minute press conference yesterday, you spoke
- 17:45Speaker 8: for an hour at Davos, he said, taking questions, he
- 17:48Speaker 8: talks about, yes, presses on Air Force one, and Republican
- 17:53Speaker 8: pundits and comments will say he doesn't get the message out.
- 17:56Speaker 8: He just doesn't get the message out. I'm going, I
- 17:58Speaker 8: don't understand. What aren't they hearing that I'm hearing twenty
- 18:02Speaker 8: four hours a day virtually, oh.
- 18:04Speaker 1: You know for most Americans. Then following this all day
- 18:07Speaker 1: and night. They were just watching the evening news or whatever,
- 18:10Speaker 1: and the message is never put there. But you're right,
- 18:13Speaker 1: but they they got to figure out a way around that.
- 18:15Speaker 1: That's why I like the idea of the super Bowl
- 18:17Speaker 1: commercial with Obama talking about how we have to send
- 18:20Speaker 1: ice into the cities and round people up. And I've
- 18:22Speaker 1: appointed Tom Homan to run this. Let's go to Ron
- 18:25Speaker 1: in Pittsburgh. Ron, how you doing.
- 18:28Speaker 6: A I, sir?
- 18:29Speaker 1: I morning good.
- 18:31Speaker 9: Hey, I did call you yesterday, and I forgot to
- 18:34Speaker 9: give you the name of my band for the president.
- 18:37Speaker 1: He's a very nice guy, but he's got one of
- 18:40Speaker 1: these garage bands he's trying to promote.
- 18:42Speaker 9: No, I don't we're good with veterans. The names Honky
- 18:46Speaker 9: Talk Heroes are on Facebook.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Wait, what's the name the Honkey Talk Heroes? The Honky
- 18:52Speaker 1: TNK Heroes? Yes, sir, god, I'd like to know the
- 18:56Speaker 1: names you rejected. That's the one you choose. What what
- 19:01Speaker 1: came in second place for a name?
- 19:04Speaker 9: Love comes in spurts?
- 19:05Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 19:06Speaker 9: Hey, Sorry, I.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Hope you play better than your name?
- 19:11Speaker 6: Hey?
- 19:11Speaker 9: Can I we do?
- 19:12Speaker 7: Hey?
- 19:12Speaker 9: Can I ask you a nice question?
- 19:14Speaker 6: Hey?
- 19:14Speaker 9: Don't you believe they're all these Democrats are all just sellouts.
- 19:18Speaker 9: I think I think, I think he just sold our
- 19:20Speaker 9: country out for the cash. Hey, but one other questions.
- 19:24Speaker 9: One of the questions, Okay, can you ask this Trump's
- 19:28Speaker 9: upper president Trump's upper flat around? Is the world flat?
- 19:33Speaker 2: You know?
- 19:33Speaker 7: Think about that day.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Drinking is not a good thing.
- 19:37Speaker 9: I'm not drinking.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Is that happy hour there at ten in the morning
- 19:41Speaker 1: in Pittsburgh? Anyway, thanks for calling. Let's go to uh
- 19:44Speaker 1: Andrew and Queen's Andrew. How you doing, Andrew? Yes, yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: we didn't wake.
- 19:53Speaker 10: You that there was a black hole there.
- 19:56Speaker 1: All right, let's go call.
- 20:01Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, I wanted to ask you. I recall I
- 20:07Speaker 10: thought decades ago during protests they used water cannons. Is
- 20:13Speaker 10: their problem using water cannons nowadays?
- 20:17Speaker 1: Yeah? You mean on those left wing wacos in Minnesota, Yeah.
- 20:22Speaker 10: Or wherever, you know, the pro Haomas demonstrations.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And well, you know, they used to use those water
- 20:29Speaker 1: cannons on protesters. Now, those were good protesters back then.
- 20:33Speaker 1: This is in the South, in the early sixties to
- 20:35Speaker 1: Kennedy days. They were racist, protesting against black students and
- 20:41Speaker 1: all that. So h but it's still it looked, it
- 20:44Speaker 1: looked kind of It didn't look good on TV. Looked
- 20:46Speaker 1: kind of cruel.
- 20:47Speaker 6: Though.
- 20:47Speaker 1: It was like a big fire hose, water cannons on it.
- 20:50Speaker 1: It was effective. But now they used that pepper spray
- 20:53Speaker 1: and mace. You've seen that on a lot of videos
- 20:55Speaker 1: of protesters screaming and youlling and getting really really really
- 21:00Speaker 1: bad with ice ation and the ice agent. Finally, after
- 21:03Speaker 1: trying to put up with a free minutes, just take
- 21:05Speaker 1: out this mace thing and just spray them in the face.
- 21:08Speaker 1: One more call. Let's go to Mike and Hawthorne. Mike,
- 21:10Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 21:11Speaker 10: Yeah, Mark, I just want to know when the New
- 21:14Speaker 10: York City employee's going to strike.
- 21:15Speaker 7: Is Donnie gonna be walking the picket line with them?
- 21:18Speaker 1: Well, I don't know. We'll get to that in the
- 21:20Speaker 1: next hour. This nursing strike, Mom, Donnie is out there
- 21:22Speaker 1: on the picket line. He's out there with the nurses.
- 21:24Speaker 1: You're not supposed to do that. If you're the mayor
- 21:27Speaker 1: the reason this strike is dragging on. Usually it's the mayor, governor,
- 21:33Speaker 1: you know, somebody like that will get everybody in the
- 21:35Speaker 1: room and be the moderator and work out a settlement.
- 21:39Speaker 1: The problem is, Mom, Donnie immediately being a novice, not
- 21:43Speaker 1: knowing how to do a management job, went right out
- 21:45Speaker 1: and started picketing with the nurses, which kind of makes
- 21:49Speaker 1: him unfit to be the honest broker in the middle.
- 21:54Speaker 1: He's supposed to remain in the middle and try to negotiate,
- 21:56Speaker 1: not supposed to take a side that early. So and
- 21:59Speaker 1: then he brought and Bernie Sanders of old people. Well,
- 22:02Speaker 1: we'll get to that in the next hour. We've got
- 22:03Speaker 1: a lot to get to. Hey, we'll talk to the
- 22:05Speaker 1: Dean himself, the best political analyst, Ed Rollins, about all
- 22:10Speaker 1: of this stuff and what's going to happen in the
- 22:12Speaker 1: midterms and more coming up on seven to ten wr.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Mark, Mark Simone on seven to ten wor.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Well, let's talk to the Dean himself. Ed Rollins has
- 22:25Speaker 1: been in a lot of White Houses. He's run a
- 22:27Speaker 1: lot of campaigns, some of the most successful in the world.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Ed Rollins, How you.
- 22:32Speaker 7: Doing, good morning, Mark?
- 22:34Speaker 1: How are you very good? Hey? The idea of ice
- 22:37Speaker 1: getting criminals off the street, good thing. Buying Greenland it
- 22:42Speaker 1: be a good thing. But does the White House have
- 22:45Speaker 1: a messaging problem that they're not explaining things correctly or
- 22:49Speaker 1: enough to be Yeah, they are?
- 22:50Speaker 7: You know, the reality is, as we've talked before, this
- 22:53Speaker 7: is so much coming every day. But let me just
- 22:56Speaker 7: say this, what the speech you just made. This was
- 22:58Speaker 7: Trump's thought process. Uh, he laid out his thinking. He
- 23:02Speaker 7: laid out you know, it's not always coherent. But the
- 23:07Speaker 7: critical message was there's no going to be invasion of Greenland,
- 23:10Speaker 7: which a lot of people will worried about, brightly or wrongly. Secondly,
- 23:14Speaker 7: Greenland is still very important to Trump, and he says
- 23:19Speaker 7: this has been picked up and much the analysis hit
- 23:22Speaker 7: that this is where it wants to put the Golden Dome.
- 23:24Speaker 7: The Golden Dome is a structure over Israel that basically
- 23:28Speaker 7: knocks down the drones and what have you. Reagan had
- 23:33Speaker 7: talked about with the Star Wars program forty years ago.
- 23:37Speaker 7: It's an expensive, not totally developed, not certainly funded yet.
- 23:42Speaker 7: But I think there's no question that's that's his intent
- 23:45Speaker 7: is to put a Golden Dome there, which obviously, if
- 23:48Speaker 7: you view the world in a different way, and certainly
- 23:50Speaker 7: the way he thinks, uh, the invasions and call him
- 23:54Speaker 7: they call him clan that way. The critical the critical
- 23:58Speaker 7: thing here, I think is that this will be a
- 24:00Speaker 7: speech that will be studied long after Trump is out
- 24:03Speaker 7: of office.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Really today's seal.
- 24:06Speaker 7: Because this really is his thought process. This is what
- 24:08Speaker 7: he thinks of, his allies, is what he thinks of
- 24:12Speaker 7: This is his style. And I think, you know, you
- 24:15Speaker 7: couldn't You couldn't sit down and say, all right, this
- 24:17Speaker 7: is all all the subjects. But it's it's a thought process.
- 24:21Speaker 7: This is a It's been repeated over and over again,
- 24:24Speaker 7: but this was a different form. This was a form
- 24:26Speaker 7: of where you had people in the business, leaders, what
- 24:32Speaker 7: have you. And he's very open in his thought process. He
- 24:36Speaker 7: certainly wasn't willing to pat himself on the back, justifiably
- 24:40Speaker 7: for some of the things that he's done, pushed credit
- 24:44Speaker 7: away from some of the things that Europeans think they've done.
- 24:48Speaker 7: And I wouldn't say it was a friendly speech. It
- 24:50Speaker 7: was sort of like, here's my thought process. I'm the
- 24:52Speaker 7: most significant leader in the world, the biggest military in
- 24:55Speaker 7: the world, and that's what my thought process is. And
- 24:59Speaker 7: you need to study it, you need he analyze it.
- 25:00Speaker 7: So I think I think there'll be a lot of
- 25:02Speaker 7: there'll be a lot of commentary, it'll be negative towards it,
- 25:05Speaker 7: but I think this is the reality. This is what
- 25:07Speaker 7: he thinks is what he's gonna try and do the
- 25:08Speaker 7: next three years. Uh. And he's claiming a lot of
- 25:10Speaker 7: the things that he's done, uh justifiably and I think
- 25:14Speaker 7: to a certain extent, it'll be analyzed and over analyzed.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Now if the other world leaders uh and Trump is
- 25:21Speaker 1: so blunt and he just says what he thinks all that,
- 25:25Speaker 1: even if they don't like it, do they kind of
- 25:26Speaker 1: appreciate that for once they got a guy who straight
- 25:28Speaker 1: talks with them and they know what he's thinking.
- 25:31Speaker 7: No, No, haven't every work work for a few presidents
- 25:36Speaker 7: and a lot of political leaders. Uh, there's there's gigantic eagles.
- 25:40Speaker 7: You know, Humble men and women don't basically move forward
- 25:43Speaker 7: the political process. But by being humble, Uh, you know,
- 25:48Speaker 7: you've got to got to believe in yourself, you've got
- 25:49Speaker 7: to believe in the people around you, and you've got
- 25:51Speaker 7: to march forward. Uh. And Trump certainly has never been
- 25:54Speaker 7: uh and uh calm and understated. Uh, he's somewhat basically
- 26:00Speaker 7: said this, who we're doing, this will have done. Uh.
- 26:02Speaker 7: And he's gonna march forward. Now if they can put
- 26:04Speaker 7: that in a coherent speech in which he given repeatedly
- 26:06Speaker 7: and he has his cabinet, give it completely. Uh, even
- 26:09Speaker 7: have a real strategic plan for the next year, which
- 26:12Speaker 7: the next year is the critical year for him.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Uh.
- 26:15Speaker 7: You know, ten in ten months, we're gonna have a
- 26:16Speaker 7: mid term election. If he loses the Congress, Uh, then
- 26:19Speaker 7: the last two years are gonna be relevant. Uh says
- 26:22Speaker 7: they're still gonna be president. But the day the day
- 26:25Speaker 7: after the November elections, and certainly if the Democrats taken back,
- 26:28Speaker 7: we begin to begin to replacement process.
- 26:31Speaker 8: Uh.
- 26:31Speaker 7: And that's never a good place to be no matter
- 26:33Speaker 7: who who you're president. Uh. You know, he lose a
- 26:36Speaker 7: lot of your power, not just to the Congress, which
- 26:38Speaker 7: use a lot of your power, to the fact that
- 26:39Speaker 7: someone else is coming forward. And my sense is that
- 26:42Speaker 7: his health health holds up Trump's Trump's gonna put play
- 26:46Speaker 7: a very big role in who's his successor. Uh. No
- 26:49Speaker 7: guarantees it's gonna be a banced No guarantees it's gonna
- 26:51Speaker 7: be revealed. No guarantees is gonna be anybody.
- 26:53Speaker 6: Uh.
- 26:54Speaker 7: His legacy may be picking one of his kids and
- 26:56Speaker 7: try and go take the political process that he controls
- 26:58Speaker 7: today by looking political is putting one of those kids
- 27:01Speaker 7: in there certainly bushed into that. Now this is done
- 27:03Speaker 7: in the past. So my sense is this is a
- 27:05Speaker 7: speech of the overanalyzed. It's it's it's way beyond mar
- 27:09Speaker 7: Lago or the White House. This is the world looking
- 27:12Speaker 7: at this speech today and everyone's going to have an
- 27:14Speaker 7: analysis and every every every other leader in the world,
- 27:18Speaker 7: except for a few hours, we have for him always
- 27:22Speaker 7: I got to criticize it. This is what he meant,
- 27:24Speaker 7: that's what he didn't mean. This is what the interpretations are.
- 27:27Speaker 7: So I think it's going to be. It'll be it'll
- 27:30Speaker 7: be a major major document. Whether it was a major
- 27:32Speaker 7: major speech or not, it clearly was his thought process.
- 27:35Speaker 7: This is what I think I've done. This is why
- 27:37Speaker 7: I think I've done it. This is you know, very
- 27:40Speaker 7: very upbeat. Uh. This economy is critical and is going
- 27:45Speaker 7: as I planned, and equally is important. The country is
- 27:48Speaker 7: the most important country in the world. And if you
- 27:51Speaker 7: don't like that, that's too bad. As we are.
- 27:53Speaker 1: So yeah, Now the President also said he may go
- 27:56Speaker 1: to Iowa later this week. Is this important for a
- 27:59Speaker 1: press and like Trump to get him out of the
- 28:01Speaker 1: White House, let him go out there and then speak,
- 28:04Speaker 1: do speeches and do that as it important.
- 28:05Speaker 7: Well, I always a state that he's very comfortable with.
- 28:09Speaker 7: There's a lot of stake in Iowa this year. I mean,
- 28:11Speaker 7: he's become a very much Republican state. But we have
- 28:14Speaker 7: an open Senate seat there, We've got a couple of
- 28:16Speaker 7: congressional seats that so on his run, you know, I
- 28:20Speaker 7: would not if I was the political directory again in
- 28:22Speaker 7: the White House, I would not run him around the
- 28:24Speaker 7: country like like they talk about doing. I would have
- 28:27Speaker 7: ten or twelve, you know, one or two a month,
- 28:30Speaker 7: big events in which he really gets news. If he
- 28:32Speaker 7: goes out and campaigns for fifty or hundred congressional candidates,
- 28:36Speaker 7: that's not going to do anything. It's distraction. Its first
- 28:39Speaker 7: wears him down. He needs to focus on the American economy.
- 28:43Speaker 7: People have to say, I don't care about Greenland, I
- 28:45Speaker 7: don't care about this, I don't care. What I care
- 28:47Speaker 7: about is my paycheck, my health care, my kids, my schools,
- 28:51Speaker 7: my neighborhoods, and those are things he needs to focus
- 28:53Speaker 7: on and he can do that. He can be very
- 28:55Speaker 7: charming when wants to do that.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Now. I know traditionally the party loses the Chris in
- 29:00Speaker 1: the midterms, but let's say all the big beautiful bill passes,
- 29:06Speaker 1: Stuff starts happening, paychecks increase, prices start coming down, the
- 29:09Speaker 1: economy looks great in four or five months. Doesn't that
- 29:13Speaker 1: mean the Republic's got a good chance of holding Congress?
- 29:17Speaker 7: It certainly certainly gives every unication it would the end,
- 29:21Speaker 7: there's a lot to make that happen. Again. Wherever it's
- 29:25Speaker 7: going to happen is going to happen because he sorry
- 29:29Speaker 7: put in place. The communication message is what's very important.
- 29:34Speaker 7: And again, if he's running around the world doing things
- 29:37Speaker 7: everywhere else and not here, penttry doesn't care at this
- 29:41Speaker 7: point in time about what happens in Ukraine, does not
- 29:45Speaker 7: care what happens in Denezuela, does not care what happens
- 29:48Speaker 7: in Cuba. They care about what's happening in Iowabbraska, Texas.
- 29:54Speaker 7: You know, we're going to fix the energy prices, We're
- 29:57Speaker 7: going to fix the food prices. But take care of
- 29:59Speaker 7: our farmers, but take care of healthcare. Those are the things.
- 30:02Speaker 7: He's got a powerful voice. If he wants to use
- 30:04Speaker 7: it for those things. If he use it for those things,
- 30:06Speaker 7: he gives Republicans watch for the chance to.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Be felt well for Democrats, all these crazy women with
- 30:12Speaker 1: the nose rings, yelling and screaming at the law enforce.
- 30:15Speaker 1: In the end, does that really help Democrats?
- 30:18Speaker 7: No, you know, it may energize them a little bit,
- 30:22Speaker 7: but there's nothing Democrats can come up with this point
- 30:25Speaker 7: in time. It's going to be this new magic policy.
- 30:29Speaker 7: You know, it's going to make everyone so oh, I
- 30:31Speaker 7: want that. What people want is either want Trump? Do
- 30:35Speaker 7: you want more Trump? Or you want less Trump? And
- 30:38Speaker 7: my sense the Democrats are smarter to go out and
- 30:40Speaker 7: just make it. If you want to stop Trump, where
- 30:42Speaker 7: the vehicles to stop Trump. If you don't want to
- 30:44Speaker 7: stop Trump, go ahead and go vote for him again.
- 30:46Speaker 7: It's ready to turn out. Historically to turnout is not
- 30:49Speaker 7: high and mid terms like it isn't presidential. It's not
- 30:52Speaker 7: the attention, it's scattered. It's just, you know, it's hard
- 30:55Speaker 7: to get the attention that a president can get when
- 30:59Speaker 7: he's out there painting. In the two races we watched
- 31:02Speaker 7: this year in New Jersey and Virginia, there was a
- 31:04Speaker 7: real load turnout among the Republicans in a very high
- 31:07Speaker 7: turnout among Democrats. That's the key. That's why historically people
- 31:11Speaker 7: usually why people vote president's party out is because they're
- 31:15Speaker 7: mad at the president for some reason or the same
- 31:18Speaker 7: kind of energy is duvoted to the campaign. This is
- 31:20Speaker 7: duoted in the presidential campaign.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Well, Ed Rowlands, great stuff. We always love talking to you.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Ed rowinds the Dean himself, and we'll talk again soon.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Thanks for being with us.
- 31:30Speaker 7: Good take care, good day.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Take care. Hey, Buck and Clay are coming up at
- 31:35Speaker 1: noon today. Buck's got a new book coming out, very
- 31:37Speaker 1: good book. I think you can already pre order it.
- 31:40Speaker 1: But we'll talk to Buck and I mean Buck and
- 31:42Speaker 1: Clay will be here after the news at noon and
- 31:45Speaker 1: then I'll most listen to radio show in America show
- 31:49Speaker 1: on Handity three o'clock. He got Jesse Kelly at six
- 31:52Speaker 1: and a brilliant, funny new show every night at nine.
- 31:56Speaker 1: People love it. It's nine to midnight here every night
- 31:59Speaker 1: on seven tenor Jimmy Faylor.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Listen tonight give WR a bree said on the iHeartRadio
- 32:05Speaker 3: app to hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts
- 32:09Speaker 3: in an instance. Now back to the Mark Simon Show
- 32:13Speaker 3: on wor.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Now, Hey, this weekend, it gets very cold now tomorrow
- 32:21Speaker 1: is gonna be forty five degrees Friday near forty Okay,
- 32:25Speaker 1: that's good, that's all good. Then Saturday Sunday, the weekend,
- 32:29Speaker 1: it gets really cold. The high will only be like
- 32:32Speaker 1: twenty degrees over the weekend. At night it'll drop down
- 32:36Speaker 1: to like twelve degrees and a real feel like seven degrees.
- 32:39Speaker 1: It's gonna be very, very very cold Saturday and Sunday.
- 32:44Speaker 1: And here's the problem, very late Saturday night snow could start.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Now again, it's too soon to really be accurate in
- 32:51Speaker 1: these predictions, but there's the possibility of a big snowstorm
- 32:55Speaker 1: Sunday into Monday. It could be four inches. There's a
- 32:59Speaker 1: couple of those, you know, they have different models, and
- 33:02Speaker 1: there's one of the two of those models that show
- 33:05Speaker 1: double digit snowfall ten inches, and we okay, but forget that.
- 33:09Speaker 1: That's not the most likely. The most likely is four inches,
- 33:12Speaker 1: five inches, six inches, something like that. But and again,
- 33:16Speaker 1: it all depends on the track of the storm. If
- 33:17Speaker 1: it turns this way, we get less snow. If it
- 33:20Speaker 1: turns this way, we get more snow. And we're too
- 33:23Speaker 1: many days out to know which way it'll turn. But
- 33:26Speaker 1: just bear that in mind. There could be a big
- 33:28Speaker 1: snowstorm Sunday Monday. Possible, possible, depend on storm could turn
- 33:33Speaker 1: that way a little, and then we're it's not going
- 33:35Speaker 1: to be so bad, but we'll keep you posted here. Well,
- 33:38Speaker 1: we got another hour to go and a lot to
- 33:40Speaker 1: talk about. In the next hour, we'll get to your
- 33:42Speaker 1: crazy New Jersey governor and a whole lot more. Just ahead,
- 33:46Speaker 1: Mark simone here every day ten to noon or listen anytime.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Get the podcast back after the news on seven to
- 33:53Speaker 1: ten WR.
- 33:54Speaker 5: Mark Simones on WR.
- 34:02Speaker 1: So, lot's forget to this hour. We'll get to Mom, Donnie,
- 34:05Speaker 1: and we'll get to Mikey, Cheryl, we'll get to Milania
- 34:08Speaker 1: and a whole lot more. Everybody agrees. It was quite
- 34:11Speaker 1: a quite a powerful speech the President made at Davos,
- 34:15Speaker 1: and the big takeaway was he will not use force
- 34:19Speaker 1: to acquire Greenland. So but everybody, normal people agree. Powerful speech,
- 34:25Speaker 1: really explained himself to the world leaders. Now forget the
- 34:29Speaker 1: forget all these smart people. Let's go to the left
- 34:31Speaker 1: wing kooks. What are they going to say? If you're
- 34:34Speaker 1: watching MS whatever the hell it's called. Now, what will
- 34:38Speaker 1: they say? Well, we let's start with Mediaite. That is
- 34:42Speaker 1: a it's a good site, but it's a real slanted,
- 34:46Speaker 1: biased left wing propaganda site. But it's important because a
- 34:50Speaker 1: lot of the whole democratic world, all the MSNB whatever
- 34:54Speaker 1: it is, the liberal outlets media, they all watch this
- 34:58Speaker 1: mediaite to get their talk points. So they're trying to
- 35:01Speaker 1: find something wrong with the president's speech. And the media
- 35:05Speaker 1: eyed headline is Trump very awkward, blunder, horrible gaff at Davos. Wow,
- 35:12Speaker 1: what could this be? Well, a lot of the speech
- 35:15Speaker 1: was about Greenland, and apparently a couple of times he
- 35:17Speaker 1: slipped and said Iceland instead of Greenland. Now again it's
- 35:24Speaker 1: media height, left wings slanted. I don't think anybody would say, Wow,
- 35:27Speaker 1: my god, that's the worst blunder in the history of
- 35:29Speaker 1: the world. One of the reasons probably got confused. If
- 35:32Speaker 1: you watch the speech, he was over and over again
- 35:35Speaker 1: talking about a Greenland is basically just a thick sheet
- 35:38Speaker 1: of ice, and he said it's not really an island,
- 35:40Speaker 1: it's a slab of ice. And you know, a lot
- 35:43Speaker 1: of people pointed out when they talk about all the
- 35:45Speaker 1: minerals that are in Greenland, it's really tough to ever
- 35:48Speaker 1: even think of getting the mat. You got to cut
- 35:50Speaker 1: through like one hundred feet of ice to get to them.
- 35:53Speaker 1: But he kept saying that, you know, it's just big.
- 35:55Speaker 1: It's very important for US militarily, strategically military base, but
- 36:00Speaker 1: otherwise there's really not much you can do with this island.
- 36:02Speaker 1: It's just again, he kept saying, it's just a slab
- 36:05Speaker 1: of ice. It's nothing but just a hunk of ice,
- 36:08Speaker 1: which is why I probably later slipped and called it Iceland.
- 36:11Speaker 1: You know, it's very funny if you've ever been there.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Iceland is mostly grass and nice. Greenland is mostly ice
- 36:20Speaker 1: and no grass. So somebody named them men correctly. Way
- 36:23Speaker 1: back when Ushi Vance, that's the wife of Vice President JD.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Vance Is, announced she's pregnant with their fourth child. Now,
- 36:34Speaker 1: a lot of people kind of stunned by that. Wow,
- 36:36Speaker 1: you know, while you're in office, vice president, you're having
- 36:39Speaker 1: a child. And I was trying to think back, have
- 36:41Speaker 1: we ever had anybody in the White House have a
- 36:46Speaker 1: child while in the White Yeah? John F. Kennedy JFK.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Jackie had a third child who died after a few days,
- 36:55Speaker 1: didn't live, but was born, and I think the name
- 36:59Speaker 1: was Pat. Pat would have been Patrick Kennedy. But JFK
- 37:03Speaker 1: and Jackie they did have a child born while he
- 37:05Speaker 1: was in the White House, and I think there were
- 37:08Speaker 1: I can't remember who, but you got to go back
- 37:10Speaker 1: a zillion years. There were vice presidents that had children
- 37:13Speaker 1: while in office. You know Caroline Levitt, the Press secretary
- 37:19Speaker 1: who's doing a great job, phenomenal Press secretary. She's also
- 37:21Speaker 1: now she's pregnant, which means sometime later this year she'll
- 37:26Speaker 1: give birth, and that means she'll have to take a
- 37:28Speaker 1: maternity leave of some kind. So they'll have to find
- 37:32Speaker 1: I mean, there are deputy press secretaries backups, but they'll
- 37:35Speaker 1: have to find a really good backup who may have
- 37:38Speaker 1: to take over for a month or two for Caroline Levitt. Hey,
- 37:43Speaker 1: you know, you never hear you hear criticism all the
- 37:45Speaker 1: time of every cabinet secretary. They pick on Rubio, fake News,
- 37:49Speaker 1: goes after Scott Bessant. They love going after Hexath all
- 37:53Speaker 1: the time, you know, and even the Democrats they keep
- 37:55Speaker 1: yelling and screaming. Hexath is the most unqualified, most incompetent
- 38:00Speaker 1: defense secretary you've ever had. Meantime, in one year, this
- 38:04Speaker 1: guy has run the most incredibly complex sophisticated military operations ever,
- 38:11Speaker 1: every one of them one thousand percent successful. I mean,
- 38:14Speaker 1: if you think about it, he probably is now the
- 38:17Speaker 1: most successful defense secretary in modern times. If you look
- 38:22Speaker 1: at the Iraq War under Rumswade, maybe it worked, but
- 38:25Speaker 1: it was kind of bungled up. But if you look
- 38:28Speaker 1: at Hexaf, you can't find another defense secretary with a
- 38:30Speaker 1: track record like Hexath From the bombing of the Iran
- 38:33Speaker 1: nuclear reactors to the capture of Maduro and a million
- 38:37Speaker 1: other operations. This guy has run the most successful military
- 38:43Speaker 1: operations in modern times. So give him a lot of credit.
- 38:47Speaker 1: You know who never gets criticized is Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Now why is that. Well, if you actually look into
- 38:56Speaker 1: this very quietly, in the last six months, Sean Duffy,
- 39:00Speaker 1: it's done an amazing job beginning to turn around our
- 39:03Speaker 1: transportation system. You remember when the Trump team came in,
- 39:08Speaker 1: there were all these airport disasters, you know, the crash
- 39:11Speaker 1: in Washington, d C. And remember they had to shut
- 39:14Speaker 1: down the Newark Airport and the towers weren't able to function,
- 39:18Speaker 1: they didn't have enough control. Well, Duffy, behind the scenes
- 39:21Speaker 1: has been quietly patching all this up. The air travel
- 39:24Speaker 1: system has gotten much better, the ports are much more efficient. Duffy,
- 39:29Speaker 1: very quietly, he's been fixing everything, even the trucking system.
- 39:34Speaker 1: You know, we have all these big rig trucks all
- 39:36Speaker 1: over the place, and it turns out many of them
- 39:38Speaker 1: were being driven by illegals who weren't qualified. But in
- 39:42Speaker 1: crazy left wing blue states they could still get a
- 39:45Speaker 1: trucking license, a commercial driver's license. So about forty five
- 39:50Speaker 1: percent of them have already been taken away by Duffy.
- 39:53Speaker 1: So he's made great improvements. That's one reason you can't
- 39:56Speaker 1: criticize him. The other reason is you'll never hear Democrats
- 40:03Speaker 1: in Congress like left wing democrats go after the transportation secretary,
- 40:07Speaker 1: because he runs the airports, he runs the trains, he
- 40:12Speaker 1: runs all that stuff. And people in Congress all they
- 40:15Speaker 1: do is travel back and forth to their home state.
- 40:18Speaker 1: So every weekend they're in the airport, they're on a train,
- 40:20Speaker 1: they're in Reagan Airport, they're in this airport. They're always traveling.
- 40:24Speaker 1: And Duffy is very smart, went to everybody in Congress,
- 40:27Speaker 1: gave everybody his cell number. Here. You ever have a problem,
- 40:30Speaker 1: you call me on myself anytime, twenty four hours a day,
- 40:33Speaker 1: call me anytime you need anything. So they're very careful
- 40:36Speaker 1: not to pick on Duffy. They want to have a
- 40:37Speaker 1: good relationship with them. Hey, Milania Trump, there's a big
- 40:42Speaker 1: documentary on Malania Trump that's going to be released in
- 40:45Speaker 1: a couple of weeks or a week or so, big, big,
- 40:48Speaker 1: big blockbuster documentary. The guy that produced it is Brett Ratner.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Now this was Brett Ratner was a very big deal
- 40:57Speaker 1: in Hollywood, a big producer with his own big production
- 41:01Speaker 1: company called Ratpack Entertainment. But Brett Ratner was one of
- 41:06Speaker 1: those guys that got me too. And there was some
- 41:09Speaker 1: horrible scandal with women and terrible sexual harau, all kinds
- 41:14Speaker 1: of stuff. So Brett Ratner got run out of Hollywood.
- 41:17Speaker 1: That was the end of him. And I know him
- 41:20Speaker 1: a little and as far as I know, he was
- 41:22Speaker 1: always sort of a left wing, typical democrat Hollywood. But
- 41:26Speaker 1: he's the guy behind this Milania documentary, which seems to
- 41:29Speaker 1: have the full cooperation of Milania the Trumps. It will
- 41:33Speaker 1: make its debut at the Trump Kennedy Center and then
- 41:39Speaker 1: it'll apparently Amazon has got a deal with It's made
- 41:42Speaker 1: by Amazon MGM Studios and they're going to be involved
- 41:47Speaker 1: with it. So at forty million dollar budget, it's gonna
- 41:49Speaker 1: be a big deal. Now it's going to be put
- 41:52Speaker 1: in theaters. It'll be streaming on Amazon, but it'll go
- 41:56Speaker 1: to theaters first. And all the left wing sites are
- 42:00Speaker 1: are bragging and bragging and bragging about how the theaters
- 42:02Speaker 1: haven't sold enough tickets. There's going to be empty seats.
- 42:05Speaker 1: They're already calling it a big bomb. It doesn't actually
- 42:08Speaker 1: mean anything. It's that the theaters aren't important. It's what
- 42:10Speaker 1: it does streaming wise. Now, it may bomb in the theaters.
- 42:15Speaker 1: A lot of people don't want to go to a
- 42:16Speaker 1: theater to see a documentary, but once it hits Amazon
- 42:18Speaker 1: and it's streaming, the numbers could be huge. So and
- 42:21Speaker 1: from what I hear, it's pretty good, So keep an
- 42:24Speaker 1: eye out for that. So, Mom, Donnie goes on the
- 42:27Speaker 1: View yesterday, and perfect setting for him, you got, it's
- 42:33Speaker 1: just perfect for him. You got these four yo yos
- 42:35Speaker 1: that hosts. How many are in the views? At four
- 42:37Speaker 1: or five? I think it's five plus, Mom Donnie, But
- 42:41Speaker 1: they're all, you know, cackling hens. None of them are
- 42:45Speaker 1: very bright. It's perfect, you know. And Mom, Donnie can
- 42:47Speaker 1: talk a mile a minute. When you talk that fast,
- 42:48Speaker 1: you can now talk a bunch of babbling idiots. But
- 42:51Speaker 1: he's given all these long winded answers and a lot
- 42:53Speaker 1: of words salads, and now this is him on how
- 42:56Speaker 1: he's going to tax businesses to death. The left wing
- 42:59Speaker 1: eye the intercourse cheering this on.
- 43:01Speaker 5: And what I've proposed is that we raise ten billion
- 43:05Speaker 5: dollars to pay for our entire economic agenda and start
- 43:08Speaker 5: to Trump proof our city because we know he'll use
- 43:10Speaker 5: federal funding as leverage over this city. And we will
- 43:13Speaker 5: do so in two key ways. The first is to
- 43:15Speaker 5: match the state's top corporate tax rate to that of
- 43:17Speaker 5: New Jersey. We are at seven point two five percent,
- 43:20Speaker 5: they're at eleven point five percent. Corporations can pay it
- 43:23Speaker 5: over there, they can pay it over here. And the
- 43:24Speaker 5: beauty of it is that it doesn't just apply to
- 43:27Speaker 5: corporations headquartered in New York City, because when you say this,
- 43:29Speaker 5: people will say, well, they're going to go to Florida
- 43:32Speaker 5: wherever you are headquartered. As long as you do business
- 43:34Speaker 5: in the state of New York, you are taxable for
- 43:36Speaker 5: that corporate tax.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Okay, naw, fear one of these left wing view idiots
- 43:41Speaker 1: you're cheering, eh, tax those businesses. It never occurs to
- 43:45Speaker 1: them that what this is is a tariff. If Trump
- 43:48Speaker 1: put tariffs on they'd be screaming and yelling, this is wrong.
- 43:52Speaker 1: This is a tariff. In fact, it's a bigger tariff
- 43:55Speaker 1: because when you put a import tariff on a company,
- 43:59Speaker 1: most the time the company doesn't have to pay it.
- 44:02Speaker 1: The importer pays it, the middleman pays it, the expediors
- 44:05Speaker 1: pay it. So the company here maybe they got to
- 44:09Speaker 1: pay a little bit, not much. But when you put
- 44:11Speaker 1: a tax on the business, they pay it all one
- 44:13Speaker 1: hundred percent. There's nobody else to pass it along to,
- 44:16Speaker 1: so it's a tariff. When you say increased corporate taxes
- 44:19Speaker 1: two percent, well that means every corporation has to raise
- 44:23Speaker 1: the price of the products two percent to cover the tax.
- 44:26Speaker 1: It's a tariff that causes a price increase immediately. But
- 44:30Speaker 1: don't tell these people. They don't know this. They can't
- 44:32Speaker 1: figure this out. So if he said Donald Trump wants
- 44:37Speaker 1: to tariff businesses, they'll start yelling and screaming, this is wrong,
- 44:40Speaker 1: this is outrageous. If the socialists, we're going to tax
- 44:44Speaker 1: those big corporations, they start cheering. They're thrilled. It's the
- 44:48Speaker 1: same exact thing. But they if it's a you call
- 44:50Speaker 1: it a tax, they love it. If you call it
- 44:52Speaker 1: a tariff, they hate it. Here's more of mon Donnie.
- 44:54Speaker 5: One thing that we do have in common is that
- 44:56Speaker 5: we both love New York City.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Oh we're talking about it now. They're asking them what
- 44:59Speaker 1: you know him and t Trump? What's this relationship with
- 45:01Speaker 1: him and Trump?
- 45:02Speaker 5: One thing that we do have in common is that
- 45:03Speaker 5: we both love New York City. We're both New York. Yeah,
- 45:05Speaker 5: and so for that entire meeting, I made the case
- 45:09Speaker 5: about this city and what it can look like for
- 45:11Speaker 5: this city if it's a place that New Yorkers can afford,
- 45:14Speaker 5: or if it's a place that they're pushed out of.
- 45:16Speaker 5: And every single policy that the federal administration puts forward
- 45:19Speaker 5: it has impacts on the city.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Yeah. So it's quite a meeting. You know this, mom,
- 45:22Speaker 1: Donnie is babbling away a mile a minute. Trump is
- 45:25Speaker 1: pretending he's interested in this. The meantime, Trump is like
- 45:29Speaker 1: veteran CEO running a global empire, twice president of the
- 45:33Speaker 1: United States, biggest figure in the world. Here's this little
- 45:36Speaker 1: thirty two year old giving him a philosophy on business
- 45:39Speaker 1: and stuff. But Trump's very good at that. Pretends he's listening.
- 45:42Speaker 1: He knows whint nod and everything, Mom, Donnie on housing.
- 45:46Speaker 5: No, the housing crisis, the number one crisis in the city.
- 45:49Speaker 5: We have eight and a half million people, more than
- 45:51Speaker 5: two million they live in something called rent stabilized housing.
- 45:54Speaker 5: Every year the city decides if their rent's going up
- 45:57Speaker 5: or if it's staying the same. Right, for the last
- 45:59Speaker 5: four years, all they've seen as their rent has gone
- 46:01Speaker 5: up and up and up more than twelve percent. And
- 46:03Speaker 5: I told those New Yorkers, I believe they deserve a
- 46:06Speaker 5: rent freeze. They deserve to have the peace of mind
- 46:08Speaker 5: to wake up one day and know you can do that.
- 46:10Speaker 5: That's what the Rent Guidelines Board can do. And we
- 46:12Speaker 5: appoint every member to that board.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Again, he talks very fast, and he sounds like he
- 46:15Speaker 1: knows what he's doing. Meantime, the truth, this guy has
- 46:18Speaker 1: no clue what to do about housing, hasn't got a clue,
- 46:20Speaker 1: knows nothing about housing. This guy never even owned a house,
- 46:23Speaker 1: he's never even had a house, but knows nothing about it.
- 46:28Speaker 1: And every solution he's proposed would do nothing except increase
- 46:32Speaker 1: the price of housing. Now, that's one thing about socialists.
- 46:36Speaker 1: One thing about socialist You can check the record. Whenever
- 46:38Speaker 1: they get into power and do their stuff. It kills
- 46:41Speaker 1: the lower class. In middle class, it drives their costs up,
- 46:44Speaker 1: It creates shortages. That's one thing you get when you
- 46:47Speaker 1: get socialists. Hey, by the way, the nurses strike, you know,
- 46:52Speaker 1: you got to get out there. If you're the mayor,
- 46:55Speaker 1: you got to go out there and you got to
- 46:57Speaker 1: bring the sides together. You got to bring the hospitals together,
- 46:59Speaker 1: the nurses to you. Gotta get eybody in the room
- 47:01Speaker 1: and negotiate. Again, he's a junior guy with no experience,
- 47:05Speaker 1: no resume, never managed, So Mom, Donnie doesn't know that
- 47:08Speaker 1: he's out there picketing with the nurses, so he can
- 47:11Speaker 1: no longer be the broker to settle this. And then
- 47:14Speaker 1: he brings in Bernie Sanders. Yesterday, Bernie Sanders to picket.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Who has no idea what the issue is, no idea
- 47:21Speaker 1: what they're striking over, no idea, what the hospital's point
- 47:23Speaker 1: of view is. All he knows is this a strike.
- 47:26Speaker 1: They got picket signs and Bernie comes in to picket.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Here he is fighting for the nurses.
- 47:35Speaker 11: Let me let me just say from the bottom of
- 47:38Speaker 11: my heart, it is an honor and a privilege to
- 47:42Speaker 11: stand with the nurses of New York City this morning.
- 47:48Speaker 1: There you go, let me translate what he's really saying.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I am here to fight for you. I'll be leaving
- 47:53Speaker 1: in an hour. You'll never see me again. I only
- 47:55Speaker 1: came because I heard there was TV cameras here. I'm
- 47:58Speaker 1: going to make a speech. Then I'm gonna fly home
- 48:00Speaker 1: and forget about you. That's basically what it is. But
- 48:04Speaker 1: he pretends he knows the issues.
- 48:05Speaker 12: Don't tell me you can't provide a good nurse staff
- 48:09Speaker 12: ratio where you're paying your CEO at New York Presbyterian
- 48:14Speaker 12: twenty six million a year.
- 48:20Speaker 1: There you go, It sounds good, but that's what CEOs
- 48:23Speaker 1: get paid. That's like standard pay for a CEO. Why
- 48:27Speaker 1: because they're entrusted with like a multi billion dollar business,
- 48:31Speaker 1: you know, like everybody can't believe Jamie Diamond, the head
- 48:35Speaker 1: of a JP Morgan Chase. He made seven hundred million
- 48:38Speaker 1: last year. Well most years it's thirty forty million. But
- 48:40Speaker 1: he had stock options and his stock went up in
- 48:43Speaker 1: value like seven hundred million. Now why is that? Well,
- 48:47Speaker 1: because the way he ran the company. JP Morgan Chase
- 48:51Speaker 1: was the biggest stock of twenty twenty five, and he
- 48:54Speaker 1: drove the stock price up like forty percent. So if
- 48:59Speaker 1: you can go to a corporation and drive the stock
- 49:03Speaker 1: price up forty percent, that means JP Morgan Chase probably
- 49:06Speaker 1: made maybe thirty five billion off that move. So if
- 49:11Speaker 1: they made thirty five billion the company, they'll give you
- 49:15Speaker 1: seven hundred million. So if you can raise a stock
- 49:17Speaker 1: price forty percent, you'll make a lot of money. It's
- 49:20Speaker 1: a good talent Minnesota. They're going to start arresting people
- 49:23Speaker 1: at President Trump yes day? What about Don Lemon?
- 49:26Speaker 11: All I just wants to do is get them out
- 49:27Speaker 11: of our country, bring them to the prisons, in jails
- 49:31Speaker 11: and mental institutions from where they came.
- 49:33Speaker 1: That's all they want to do.
- 49:34Speaker 13: The patriots, and they.
- 49:36Speaker 7: Have to be abused by guys like Don Lemon, who's
- 49:38Speaker 7: a loser, light weight.
- 49:40Speaker 1: I saw him the way he walked in that church.
- 49:42Speaker 7: It was terrible.
- 49:43Speaker 1: I have such respect for that pastor. He was so calm,
- 49:46Speaker 1: he was so nice. He was just accosted.
- 49:48Speaker 7: What they did in that church was horrible.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Yeah, what Don Lemon did, what the protest you did
- 49:54Speaker 1: totally a crime if you read the law. Because some
- 49:58Speaker 1: left wing got they'll argy, well, if the church is
- 50:00Speaker 1: open anybody's allowed to enter. Yeah, but in the law
- 50:03Speaker 1: specifically says, if you do anything to intimidate or interrupt
- 50:08Speaker 1: the worshippers or the pastor, you've committed a serious crime,
- 50:12Speaker 1: anything to intimidate or interrupt. And they certainly didn't. They
- 50:15Speaker 1: certainly did interrupt. They stopped the whole thing. Lemon got
- 50:18Speaker 1: right in the pastor's face and tried to intimidate him.
- 50:22Speaker 1: So Lemon has committed a crime. Could go to jail
- 50:25Speaker 1: for this. You'll see the arrests coming very soon. Hey, well,
- 50:29Speaker 1: take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three two
- 50:32Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number, eight hundred three
- 50:35Speaker 1: to two one zero seven ten, mister.
- 50:38Speaker 5: New York Mark Simo on the Voice of New York
- 50:42Speaker 5: seven ten.
- 50:43Speaker 1: Wr Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh
- 50:47Speaker 1: Chris in Montreal. Chris, how you doing?
- 50:50Speaker 6: I'm okay, Thanks, Mark, how you doing? Listen? You have
- 50:55Speaker 6: a caller yesterday who what wasn't thrilled with Kurtis taking
- 50:59Speaker 6: over for you. That's a compliment to you because we
- 51:02Speaker 6: listened because of your format and stuff, and Curtis was
- 51:06Speaker 6: kind of just like bemoaning.
- 51:07Speaker 1: All his Oh, Curtis was very ready. He was fine,
- 51:10Speaker 1: but he picked on Trump at one point, so a
- 51:11Speaker 1: lot of people didn't like that. You're allowed to pick
- 51:13Speaker 1: on Trump now and then.
- 51:15Speaker 6: I like Curtis. I didn't vote for him the second time,
- 51:18Speaker 6: but I donated to him twice. But I like him.
- 51:20Speaker 6: But when somebody takes over for you, they should continue
- 51:22Speaker 6: your format, because that's why we listen if we wanted
- 51:26Speaker 6: to know.
- 51:26Speaker 1: But Curtis was fine. He's not for greenland stuff. So
- 51:30Speaker 1: you're allowed to disagree with Trump on an issue again
- 51:33Speaker 1: the ed Cotch rule. Ed Kotch used to say, if
- 51:36Speaker 1: you agree with me on nine out of twelve things,
- 51:38Speaker 1: vote for me. If you agree on twelve out of twelve,
- 51:40Speaker 1: see a psychiatrist. It's a listen. Do you know which guest?
- 51:45Speaker 1: We have a lot of guests on. You know which one?
- 51:47Speaker 1: We get a lot of male saying the worst guest.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Don't ever have him on again. Every guest, every single guest.
- 51:55Speaker 1: It's perfectly normal. You're always going to get some people
- 51:57Speaker 1: that don't like whoever it is. Let's go to Jim
- 52:00Speaker 1: in Greenwich. Jerry, how you doing.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I'm doing well, Mark, thank you for taking my call.
- 52:05Speaker 2: I like to say I like the picture that you
- 52:07Speaker 2: wear during the holidays in the Greenwich Time with doctor Siegel.
- 52:11Speaker 6: That was really nice.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Wait wait say it again. What you like what.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Your picture with doctor Siegel? New York Time is newspaper
- 52:20Speaker 2: in Greenwich.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Well, yeah, there's a wonderful uh Connecticut paper called the
- 52:24Speaker 1: Greenwich Times. And there's a woman that writes like the
- 52:27Speaker 1: restaurant column who was seen where? Her name is Susie Castorini.
- 52:31Speaker 1: It's the column is called called the Dish. It's called
- 52:34Speaker 1: the Dish. It's a great column. You don't want me
- 52:37Speaker 1: to talk. You're trying to stop me from talking. Let
- 52:39Speaker 1: must say that you give a look, let me finish
- 52:42Speaker 1: this anyway. It's called the Dish. It's a great column.
- 52:44Speaker 1: And every week she puts who's in what restaurant? Who
- 52:46Speaker 1: is in Jay House? Who is here? Who is there? Uh?
- 52:50Speaker 1: And doctor Mark Siegel. She had a picture of the
- 52:52Speaker 1: two of us at a at a book party. Very nice.
- 52:55Speaker 6: Uh.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Let's go to Bob in Montvale, New Jersey. Bob, how
- 52:58Speaker 1: you doing.
- 53:00Speaker 6: Art?
- 53:00Speaker 14: Thanks for taking my call. You know it is an
- 53:02Speaker 14: article in even our local paper about how there's a
- 53:06Speaker 14: list of the best of the worst and New Jersey
- 53:09Speaker 14: is right there as far as businesses and doing business
- 53:13Speaker 14: in New Jersey. Yeah, so you know Hochel and Mandannie,
- 53:18Speaker 14: maybe they better like read the study about doing business
- 53:22Speaker 14: in New Jersey and what it did to you know,
- 53:25Speaker 14: our business.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it's horrible. I don't know what's wrong with
- 53:27Speaker 1: you people. You keep prementing these governments. This Mikey Cheryl
- 53:30Speaker 1: took office yesterday.
- 53:31Speaker 8: I know.
- 53:33Speaker 15: That there are people here, some of them behind me,
- 53:35Speaker 15: probably who didn't vote for me.
- 53:38Speaker 1: And I know now if I didn't tell you who
- 53:40Speaker 1: this was, and this woman talk like this, what do
- 53:44Speaker 1: you think there's some kind of dopey teenager or something.
- 53:46Speaker 15: Some of you are going to be in my office
- 53:48Speaker 15: yelling at me one day about some disagreements. And yet
- 53:53Speaker 15: as we sit here today, I'm ready to fight to
- 53:56Speaker 15: ensure that you can do it like this.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Did you people? Do you elected her governor? She's gonna
- 54:03Speaker 1: drive your costs up.
- 54:04Speaker 15: I hope New Jersey you'll remember me when you open
- 54:07Speaker 15: up your electric bill and it hasn't gone up by
- 54:09Speaker 15: twenty percent.
- 54:11Speaker 1: It's gonna go by thirty percent. These they don't realize.
- 54:14Speaker 1: These they have no clue how to run anything. They
- 54:17Speaker 1: drive up electric costs. They try. You want to bring
- 54:20Speaker 1: down the electric bills, natural gas, nuclear plants, electric bill
- 54:24Speaker 1: drops in half immediately. That's one reason it's up so
- 54:26Speaker 1: high here in New York. As Cuomo shut down the
- 54:29Speaker 1: Indian Point nuclear plant driving electric that was twenty five
- 54:33Speaker 1: percent of our electricity, driving costs up. Hey, when we
- 54:36Speaker 1: come back and culture will be with us. Next on
- 54:39Speaker 1: seven to ten, wore.
- 54:41Speaker 5: Bogged into Everything New York. Mark Simone on sevent ten.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Woe.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Well and Culture the best selling author, a great columnist.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Make sure you follow her on Twitter. Even better substack
- 54:56Speaker 1: where you can get her column you and get her
- 54:57Speaker 1: videos or podcast interviews. Everything is that culter dot substack
- 55:02Speaker 1: dot com and culter dot substack dot com and culter.
- 55:06Speaker 6: How you doing fantastic?
- 55:09Speaker 13: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 55:10Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm good. Uh, President, quite a speech in Davos.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I thought it was pretty impressive, didn't you?
- 55:17Speaker 13: Was that the one yesterday?
- 55:18Speaker 12: No?
- 55:19Speaker 1: Today?
- 55:20Speaker 13: Oh yeah, I haven't seen today's. I saw yesterday. I
- 55:23Speaker 13: imagine there was a lot of repetition. Yesterday was fantastic.
- 55:27Speaker 1: That was the ninety four minute press conference where he
- 55:30Speaker 1: was great.
- 55:31Speaker 13: Yes, it was unbelievably great. I was in my car,
- 55:33Speaker 13: so I got to listen to almost all of it,
- 55:36Speaker 13: and right before I left again in my car, I
- 55:39Speaker 13: have a channel where you can see six stations at once. MSNBC,
- 55:43Speaker 13: as far as I could tell, didn't cover it at all. Yes,
- 55:46Speaker 13: they were talking all the way through it. CNN began
- 55:49Speaker 13: to cover it, and then when he got into some
- 55:51Speaker 13: of the good stuff, like his description of Somalia as
- 55:55Speaker 13: not even a country, people killing one or another, running
- 55:59Speaker 13: around kill one another, the attack on ilhan Omar in
- 56:02Speaker 13: suggestion that some Alis just go home, they don't fit
- 56:05Speaker 13: in here, that's when CNN cut away. And the only
- 56:09Speaker 13: place you could hear it, at least on my serious
- 56:11Speaker 13: radio was Fox News, and it was magnificent.
- 56:17Speaker 1: What do you say about Somalia? He said, all they're
- 56:20Speaker 1: good at his pirate ships. It was pretty good.
- 56:22Speaker 13: Yeah, that's all they do, run around killing one another. Yeah,
- 56:25Speaker 13: they don't even have a government police.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Let me ask you this. We we've been playing this
- 56:31Speaker 1: clip for a couple of days. It's Barack Obama. During
- 56:34Speaker 1: his presidency, he sent ice into the cities. He made
- 56:38Speaker 1: these speeches about they were going to round up illegals,
- 56:40Speaker 1: especially criminals. He put a guy named Tom Holman in charge.
- 56:44Speaker 1: He later gave him a medal for doing such a
- 56:46Speaker 1: great job. What changed.
- 56:51Speaker 13: They noticed the illegals are voting for them to vote,
- 56:55Speaker 13: sometimes before they're allowed to vote. As as you know,
- 56:59Speaker 13: I person only believed Democrats never believed this. They have
- 57:06Speaker 13: no interest in the working class. They do want to
- 57:10Speaker 13: turn America into a third world country. Why that is
- 57:18Speaker 13: I can't explain, but yeah, they're all on record. What's
- 57:23Speaker 13: the name Senator Harry Reid? He was Majority leader for
- 57:26Speaker 13: a long time. He was one of the first ones
- 57:29Speaker 13: to take to the Senate floor and give a long
- 57:32Speaker 13: speech denouncing the absurdity of anchor babies. Die Fi and
- 57:39Speaker 13: Barbara Boxer was were fantastic on immigration because they're in California,
- 57:44Speaker 13: and California was the first state destroyed by immigration. You
- 57:51Speaker 13: might remember this, your younger listeners will not, But right
- 57:55Speaker 13: around the time of the Rodney King case. I guess
- 58:00Speaker 13: it was soon after that some border agents actually did
- 58:04Speaker 13: wallop an illegal alien, and Democrats were trying to turn
- 58:08Speaker 13: that into at the border. It wasn't one of those
- 58:12Speaker 13: fake things where liberals were claiming whips were used. It
- 58:15Speaker 13: was just border agents on horses. Okay, but something similar
- 58:18Speaker 13: to that, some border agents whacked some illegals, and media
- 58:23Speaker 13: trying to turn that into the illegal alien. Rodney and
- 58:27Speaker 13: the King Boxer and DII FI both went to the
- 58:31Speaker 13: Senate floor to defend the border agents. That's how strong
- 58:37Speaker 13: Democrats used to be on illegal immigration. So there's plenty
- 58:42Speaker 13: of plenty of video of them out there, and perhaps
- 58:45Speaker 13: they could explain, well, okay.
- 58:47Speaker 1: So they switched because they need the votes. It's a
- 58:50Speaker 1: way of getting votes for Demming.
- 58:52Speaker 13: That just became the official position of the Democratic Party.
- 58:55Speaker 13: I mean, the weird thing. One another weird example was
- 58:58Speaker 13: but I'm sure I've mentioned you've mentioned million times when
- 59:01Speaker 13: Bernie Sanders was running for president in twenty sixteen, and
- 59:05Speaker 13: probably one but for the DNC's machinations.
- 59:10Speaker 10: Uh.
- 59:11Speaker 13: He was giving an interview with Ezra Kline, who just assumed,
- 59:14Speaker 13: you know, socialist. Of course, he's for open borders. So
- 59:18Speaker 13: he brings up illegal immigration, and Bernie Sanders went rant
- 59:23Speaker 13: against it, saying, no, of course I'm against the illegal immigration.
- 59:27Speaker 13: That's a cop in low wage workers so you can
- 59:31Speaker 13: drive your own workers wages down, which is one hundred
- 59:35Speaker 13: percent true, one hundred percent consistent with a socialist, pro
- 59:40Speaker 13: worker view or my opinion, pro American view. Kline was
- 59:46Speaker 13: was flabbergasted. And then in order that was when Bernie Sanders,
- 59:50Speaker 13: I don't know if he had officially switched yet, but
- 59:52Speaker 13: when he ran for president, he had to switch from
- 59:53Speaker 13: being an independent to being a Democrat. So after that interview,
- 59:58Speaker 13: you know, he checks in with the party. He's just
- 1:00:00Speaker 13: become a member of the Democrats, goes to the mother
- 1:00:04Speaker 13: ship and finds out no, no, our position is we
- 1:00:07Speaker 13: are four, we are for illegal immigrants, we are four
- 1:00:10Speaker 13: open borders. And I'm pretty sure he was one of
- 1:00:12Speaker 13: the ones to raise his hand. Did they do the
- 1:00:16Speaker 13: raise hands thing in twenty sixteen? Man, I hate those questions.
- 1:00:20Speaker 13: But about whether illegal should get should get free health care?
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Okay, so that's why the politicians flip flop. But the
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: sheep that follow the Democrats did. Why didn't the sheep say,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: wait a minute, you just told us the opposite. How
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: come they don't say anything?
- 1:00:36Speaker 13: Well, some have in many ways, as you know, the
- 1:00:40Speaker 13: parties are in some ways switching demographics. I prefer our
- 1:00:45Speaker 13: new demographic. We're losing to some extent, not all of them. Obviously,
- 1:00:53Speaker 13: some suburban women are wonderful, particularly the moms, but we're
- 1:00:59Speaker 13: losing by and life are suburban women but picking up
- 1:01:03Speaker 13: a much larger cohort of working class America who did frankly,
- 1:01:10Speaker 13: they held on a little too long to the Democratic Party.
- 1:01:12Speaker 13: It was clear to me as as a teenager that
- 1:01:16Speaker 13: this pro worker rhetoric of the Democrats was utter a
- 1:01:20Speaker 13: complete bs. I knew some some top officials at some
- 1:01:26Speaker 13: unions and they said the same thing to me that,
- 1:01:29Speaker 13: you know, they get steel workers union guys to vote
- 1:01:34Speaker 13: for Democrats for you know, abortion rights and equal pay stuff.
- 1:01:40Speaker 13: And the Democrats would always say to the unions, yeah,
- 1:01:43Speaker 13: we'll get you next time. We'll get you guys. We'll
- 1:01:45Speaker 13: do something for you guys next time, but never quite
- 1:01:47Speaker 13: got around to doing anything for the working class.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Yeah. So, hey, all this video coming out of Minnesota
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: of all these crazy nose ring women and all what
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: by the time of the midterms, it's going to hurt
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: the Democrat, Isn't it turn people off?
- 1:02:04Speaker 13: I do not think this is good for Democrats. The
- 1:02:10Speaker 13: women like you say, they're oh my gosh, there's it's
- 1:02:13Speaker 13: such a type, those Minnesota ladies and middle aged, short
- 1:02:18Speaker 13: gray hair, a little rotond not particularly full of joy
- 1:02:27Speaker 13: and grasping at life. And as I've said to you
- 1:02:31Speaker 13: before that it's just it's unbelievable that these are the
- 1:02:35Speaker 13: descendants of the Vikings. These people so okay, that visual
- 1:02:41Speaker 13: very bad for Democrats. The illegal immigrants visual very bad
- 1:02:48Speaker 13: for Democrats, which is I noticed the first time we
- 1:02:51Speaker 13: were having big illegal immigrants, probably during you I was
- 1:02:54Speaker 13: during Trump twenty sixteen, MSNBC would try to put on,
- 1:03:00Speaker 13: you know, poor illegals to argue their case, but they
- 1:03:03Speaker 13: were just so hideously unattractive. MSNBC quickly figured out, uh no,
- 1:03:11Speaker 13: let's let's get somebody else to do the speaking for them.
- 1:03:14Speaker 13: And I noticed this on Twitter. Every time you see
- 1:03:17Speaker 13: one of these illegal aliens either you know, stamping stamping
- 1:03:21Speaker 13: her foot, demanding amnesty right away, or being arrested by Ice,
- 1:03:26Speaker 13: doesn't anyone else think do we want our country to
- 1:03:30Speaker 13: be ugly? Do we want that to be the the
- 1:03:33Speaker 13: the image of the American? What what we look like?
- 1:03:37Speaker 13: We're short and fat and physically repulsive. No, you don't
- 1:03:40Speaker 13: see a lot of illegal aliens. You don't see a
- 1:03:43Speaker 13: lot of these Minnesota ladies in Democrats version of themselves. No,
- 1:03:47Speaker 13: they want to be more like Hollywood where the Democrats
- 1:03:50Speaker 13: look like everybody on West.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Wing and great stuff we can check out follow on Twitter.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Very good on Twitter, but even better as substack. And
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you got a new column coming out later today.
- 1:04:02Speaker 13: Yes it is boss.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: I insist you all read it all right, Just go
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: to and Culter dot substack dot com and culter dot
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: substack dot com and Culter thanks for being with us.
- 1:04:14Speaker 13: Good to talk to you, Mark Simone.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Bye bye, all right, took care, Hey, don't forget Jimmy
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: Fayla tonight. He'll be with us on tomorrow. Show by
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: every night, excellent show nine to midnight, and Buck and
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Clay will be here in just a few minutes. That's
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: a really good, informative, fascinating show every day noon to three.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: And then at three you got the most listened to
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: radio show in America, Sean Hannity, This is all coming
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: up on seven ten.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: WOR get hits in access to Mark by setting a
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: pre set in the iHeartRadio app for his live show
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: and his podcast. Now back to the Mark Simone Show
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: on WOR.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: You don't forgot a big story? The awful evil Gail King,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: who does it? Disastrous Morning Show? On CBS. It's always
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: in third place. She's been getting thirteen million a year.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: They've made it clear at CBS, you're no longer going
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: to get that, you're no longer viable. They want to
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: not only cut that the way down, they want to
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: remove her from the show, make us some sort of
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: occasional correspondent or something. You remember last time around when
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: she had a contract negotiation. CBS was in the middle
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: of that horrible sex scandal. She was threatening to write
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: a book. She's the most awful, evil person, and they
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: got terrified of her and they gave her a huge contract.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Well way past that now, so she's going to take
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: an enormous pay cut, be cut down to an occasional correspondent.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: We'll see how that plays out. We'll bring you more
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: on this tomorrow. Now, don't go away. Buck and Clay
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: are next with an excellent show right after the News.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I'm here every day ten to noon, or you can
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: listen anytime you want. Just get the podcast, but otherwise
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks for listening, Thanks for everything.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Seven to ten wo
