The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) | Ep. 5 - Part 1
The title promises a bloodbath, and the genius is how little blood it actually shows. Luke, Westy, and Matt begin the story of the grimy, ferocious horror that rewrote the rulebook. In Part 1 we cover the film's opening, director Tobe Hooper, the cast, and the second act — including the doomed road trip, the brutal Texas heat that made the shoot a nightmare, and the slow build to that first encounter with the house. The dinner-table scene is still to come, and it's as bad as you remember. Part 2 sits down: crew, finale, reception, legacy. Out now.
