- 0:00Speaker 1: Yo. Hey, hey, hey, hey there he is. You're so beautiful.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Look at you. I missed your face. I needed you
- 0:07Speaker 1: this week. Did you I need to do this week? Man?
- 0:10Speaker 1: This has been a rough week me too. Man. I
- 0:13Speaker 1: just I was just telling these guys before you got on,
- 0:15Speaker 1: I I were here to do a comedy podcast, and
- 0:18Speaker 1: I promise you we will we will switch to Chipper.
- 0:21Speaker 1: But I can't. I can't help but say I'm feeling
- 0:23Speaker 1: a bit just melancholic about the earth and COVID and yeah,
- 0:29Speaker 1: just everything right. I mean, they just just before he
- 0:31Speaker 1: got on, they say they're gonna probably have to close
- 0:34Speaker 1: down New York City schools again, and they're gonna probably
- 0:37Speaker 1: have to do that. I know, I know it's horrible.
- 0:40Speaker 1: And then we're talking about Trump not not not conceding,
- 0:43Speaker 1: and I just I just feel like a little over COVID.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Like I'm sure everyone listening, I'm just kind of like,
- 0:50Speaker 1: m that's the other thing. Man. You know, our kids
- 0:54Speaker 1: are back at school, and uh, you know this COVID
- 0:59Speaker 1: thing is on the rise. California reached a million a
- 1:02Speaker 1: couple of days ago. Uh COVID cases. Wait, your kids
- 1:05Speaker 1: are going physically a school? Yeah, man, social distancing and
- 1:10Speaker 1: everything masks on spread out they needed for their brains. Man,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I can't keep them home. Oh I know, I know,
- 1:16Speaker 1: I know, I get it, I get it, I get it.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I just I don't know. Man. Hopefully this vaccine, these
- 1:21Speaker 1: vaccines work and we can get the art out of
- 1:23Speaker 1: this fun but even I just want to know that.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I I just want listen, man, if it does hit, man,
- 1:29Speaker 1: I want to be on the list to get that
- 1:31Speaker 1: Regina Ron whatever that shit the president got the Regina
- 1:34Speaker 1: Bron whatever that shit is. I don't know if you're
- 1:39Speaker 1: gonna get the special secret presidential cocktail that he that's
- 1:42Speaker 1: that cocktail? Man, I want that. Yeah, that's that special ship.
- 1:47Speaker 1: It was like from stem cells and costs like a
- 1:50Speaker 1: million dollars. Yeah, exactly what was it? What was the
- 1:52Speaker 1: name of it? Like Regina, I got it right? Oh snap,
- 1:56Speaker 1: look at that. Look get down with the big brain.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Look at the big brain on Donald Anyway, I promised
- 2:03Speaker 1: to cheer up, but I just I was happy to
- 2:05Speaker 1: see all three of your faces because I'm sure, like
- 2:07Speaker 1: a lot of people listening, this is heavy. It's a lot.
- 2:10Speaker 1: So we at least to get we at least are
- 2:12Speaker 1: blessed to live in southern California where the sun is
- 2:14Speaker 1: out and it's beautiful. There's people sitting in the fucking
- 2:17Speaker 1: pouring rain and snow and dark all the time. Right,
- 2:23Speaker 1: it's tough. Yeah, man, this is crazy. Joel ain't talking,
- 2:26Speaker 1: so you know it's Joel. Joelle's feeling it before we start,
- 2:30Speaker 1: Before you came on, before you came on, Joel was
- 2:34Speaker 1: was talking about how she too feels it. We need
- 2:37Speaker 1: to put on some like Coldplay and cuddle in the
- 2:40Speaker 1: corner together. Oh my god. Yeah, And it was my
- 2:46Speaker 1: shrink tells me that when you're feeling down, even though
- 2:48Speaker 1: it's hard, you have to do something that is the
- 2:51Speaker 1: opposite behavior. You need to do something that makes you happy.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You need even if you're like I don't want to
- 2:56Speaker 1: do anything, you gotta go fucking do it. You gotta
- 2:59Speaker 1: go do it. There's not much to do. We're all
- 3:05Speaker 1: lockdown almost again. In your example, you could go play
- 3:08Speaker 1: a round of golf. No you can't because it's locked. Listen,
- 3:12Speaker 1: this is what yet. Probably they haven't. Golf is golf
- 3:18Speaker 1: is now h it's messed up because people are so
- 3:23Speaker 1: you know, how when your favorite sneaker comes out and
- 3:26Speaker 1: you're sitting at the button and you're hitting refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh,
- 3:31Speaker 1: over and over again. That's what it's like with tea
- 3:35Speaker 1: times for municipal courses. Now you're literally like weeks a
- 3:40Speaker 1: week in advance. It used to be if you had
- 3:42Speaker 1: a card, you know, you had an advantage on everyone else.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Now that's out the window. A week in advance, it's
- 3:51Speaker 1: almost impossible to get a tea time at the at
- 3:55Speaker 1: the at the at the time you're looking for. It's horrible, man,
- 4:00Speaker 1: it's horrible golf right now is it's it's ruined in
- 4:04Speaker 1: California unless you get a tea time, unless you got
- 4:07Speaker 1: somebody with the hookup and can get you a municipal
- 4:10Speaker 1: tea time or gotta or gotta got gotta wait, hold on,
- 4:14Speaker 1: let me what. Oh go ahead, I'm gonna tell you.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I think the lawrence can help you because he's got
- 4:19Speaker 1: access to a fancy country club word, because that's what
- 4:23Speaker 1: you need. Man. Unless you got a friend with it's
- 4:25Speaker 1: almost like a It's like you know how people tell
- 4:27Speaker 1: you don't buy your boat have a friend who owns
- 4:30Speaker 1: a boat. Yeah, that's what it's like with golf. Now.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It's so expensive, and it's almost impossible to get that.
- 4:36Speaker 1: If you have somebody that has a membership at a
- 4:40Speaker 1: country club, you are in luck. If they call you
- 4:43Speaker 1: up and they're like, listen, bro, how are you men?
- 4:45Speaker 1: I haven't seen you in a while. It'd be nice
- 4:47Speaker 1: to get out and go play golf with you. None
- 4:49Speaker 1: of my friends have done that. Only one or two
- 4:51Speaker 1: people have done that. You know what I mean calling
- 4:53Speaker 1: out to all my golf buddies. Where y'all at? Man,
- 4:56Speaker 1: if you're listen in the fake Doctor's real friends, I
- 4:59Speaker 1: need some sun shine, I need some air. I'm sick
- 5:02Speaker 1: of this motherfucking closet. I'm sick of living like this.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I want to be happy again. I want to freaking
- 5:07Speaker 1: play some golf with you, even though, look, we might
- 5:10Speaker 1: not even get along. We might even have beef yo.
- 5:13Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, you might hate my guts,
- 5:16Speaker 1: But for five hours, I will be your motherfucker. I
- 5:20Speaker 1: will be your friend. I will be your homie. I'll
- 5:24Speaker 1: be your g Let's get out and play some golf together.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You would me get the tea time. Make it happen now.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Oculus not have a layers community for you? Do you
- 5:39Speaker 1: know how stupid I look in my house with a
- 5:40Speaker 1: fucking pair of goggles on, storms around like I'm playing golf.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Do they have occulus golf? Yes? Yeah, but it's not
- 5:49Speaker 1: the same thing. Donald, you tried it. It's not the
- 5:53Speaker 1: same thing. There's no way, there's no way. There's no way.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And I will treat me now that I know that
- 5:58Speaker 1: it exists, I will try. I feel like this is
- 6:01Speaker 1: a good argument for you to say to Casey for
- 6:03Speaker 1: my mental health, Honey, I need a fucking golf simulator.
- 6:11Speaker 1: My life would be so awesome if a golf simulator
- 6:13Speaker 1: came to the right now, especially with lockdown coming my way.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It's like it's like life is I can see everybody
- 6:23Speaker 1: sees it coming. Are they going to shut down LA
- 6:25Speaker 1: for real? Hell? Yeah, we reached a million with trending. No,
- 6:28Speaker 1: I mean like, I mean no, I'm asking like all, like,
- 6:31Speaker 1: unless you're an essential worker, you're not going You're not
- 6:33Speaker 1: leaving your house. They'll probably do some sort of stay
- 6:37Speaker 1: at home order. They'll probably close bars and restaurants and
- 6:39Speaker 1: gyms again, and they'll probably just leave, you know, essential
- 6:42Speaker 1: business is open. Yeah, probably Like when like when, within
- 6:46Speaker 1: how long you think I think they'll try and do
- 6:49Speaker 1: it around Thanksgiving to keep people from going out for
- 6:53Speaker 1: Black Friday. That's what I think, you guys. And this
- 6:58Speaker 1: podcast is to cheer people. Yeah, well celebrating now we
- 7:03Speaker 1: need hearing them. We need to watch celebrating in the
- 7:05Speaker 1: street didn't help, guys. That shit didn't help. Of course,
- 7:09Speaker 1: that was idiotic. That shit didn't help. What the fuck men? Look, Lakers, Dodgers,
- 7:15Speaker 1: a Joe Biden win, all back to back. La was
- 7:18Speaker 1: getting hurt. That's just that's we got, dude. It was
- 7:22Speaker 1: reg W's and then we just fucking barely ever leave
- 7:25Speaker 1: my property. So I don't blame me, That's all I
- 7:27Speaker 1: want to say. I didn't even get to see Daniel
- 7:30Speaker 1: when he brought by my my my onesie, my my
- 7:33Speaker 1: onesie prototype. Did you see the onesie prototypes? Donald? I
- 7:36Speaker 1: haven't opened up any boxes, right, So you guys, you guys,
- 7:40Speaker 1: here's one bit of good news we're making. We're making
- 7:43Speaker 1: holiday adult onesies with me and Donald's faces on them.
- 7:47Speaker 1: They are glorious. I have to say, um um. The
- 7:51Speaker 1: only problem is my face is too tan and yours
- 7:55Speaker 1: is a little light. So we have the same They
- 7:57Speaker 1: trying to do. What are they trying to do with this.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I'm telling you that they try. They're trying to make you.
- 8:02Speaker 1: They're trying to appeal you to the black community and
- 8:04Speaker 1: appeal me to the white community. And they send us
- 8:10Speaker 1: the onesies and asked to find the heading notes, and
- 8:11Speaker 1: I laughed out loud. My girlfriend was laughing. Her friend
- 8:15Speaker 1: was over, we're all cracking up. It's because it's just
- 8:16Speaker 1: so fucking ridiculous. You're gonna want one. I'm gonna want one.
- 8:19Speaker 1: We're all gonna wear them. But I said, my only
- 8:21Speaker 1: note is like Donald and I, our skin tones are
- 8:24Speaker 1: quite different in real life, but here they're a little
- 8:26Speaker 1: too close. We look like we're cousins or something. So
- 8:29Speaker 1: we just need some We needed to see some onesie
- 8:32Speaker 1: skin tone adjustment. And I think it'll be my perfection.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You have the both of them. You have them right now.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I don't have them in my office here, but I
- 8:39Speaker 1: have them in my home. And do they look cozy? Oh,
- 8:42Speaker 1: it's it's very cozy. They're much very inside. Yeah, much soft.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You should have seen what they wanted to send. First off, guys,
- 8:50Speaker 1: first of all, listen, this is how much we care
- 8:54Speaker 1: we put about the merch that we're giving y'all. Y'all
- 8:57Speaker 1: complained one time. We're trying to make it so you
- 9:00Speaker 1: never complain, did you see me by the way I did.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Funny was Conan talking about our washcloth. That was great.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I love that you tried to dance around him washing
- 9:11Speaker 1: his asshole. Well, I know that I know from experience
- 9:15Speaker 1: that he doesn't like comedy to go to blue as
- 9:18Speaker 1: they say. He keeps it pretty clean. And I've been
- 9:21Speaker 1: on the show many many times. Conan loves me, and
- 9:23Speaker 1: I love Conan. I've done the show many many times,
- 9:25Speaker 1: and I remember from years past that if a story
- 9:28Speaker 1: ever goes a little too to scatological or dirty, he
- 9:32Speaker 1: doesn't like it. So that's why I was like, I
- 9:34Speaker 1: wasn't like being like we talk on this show, like, no,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you got to dig in your asshole with the washcloth,
- 9:39Speaker 1: because so I was. I was giving him the pige
- 9:41Speaker 1: version right. Well, yeah, I would have loved if you
- 9:45Speaker 1: would have said one time it would be and you
- 9:46Speaker 1: could wash your ass with me. That would have been
- 9:49Speaker 1: enough for me. Yes, it probably would probably would have
- 9:51Speaker 1: been fine with that. I was tiptoeing around. I was
- 9:52Speaker 1: also tiptoeing around the African American Caucasian conversation because that's
- 9:57Speaker 1: how it came up on the show. But I have
- 9:59Speaker 1: core wanted to be as politically as correct as possible.
- 10:02Speaker 1: But I think I did a pretty good job. I
- 10:04Speaker 1: thought you were amazing. You were great. It was a
- 10:05Speaker 1: great segment. You were very funny. Said he was gonna
- 10:08Speaker 1: put our ornament on his tree. Yeah, I love that,
- 10:11Speaker 1: Thank you. Conan. Please take a picture. And he said
- 10:15Speaker 1: he was gonna put the washcloth on the tree after
- 10:17Speaker 1: he used it on his ass. Well, that would be
- 10:20Speaker 1: great too, that would that would Just take a picture
- 10:23Speaker 1: of it, take a picture and put it on social
- 10:25Speaker 1: media and show all of your fans that you're down
- 10:28Speaker 1: with the fake Doctors'll be amazed, all right, should we?
- 10:30Speaker 1: I think if you sing the song, if we if
- 10:32Speaker 1: we both sing our song, it might um put us
- 10:35Speaker 1: all in a happier mood. So Donald, let's transform, transformers,
- 10:41Speaker 1: transform auto bunts, transform and roll stories about shore We
- 10:51Speaker 1: made nurses stories. Yea, all right, listen. I just the
- 11:13Speaker 1: other day said, oh, sorry, your recap, go to your recap?
- 11:18Speaker 1: Do you really want to go to the recap? This
- 11:20Speaker 1: episode is really difficult for me because a great episode.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Let's just peoplong. Someone on Twitter did a graph of
- 11:27Speaker 1: how long your recaps are and how close they are
- 11:29Speaker 1: to thirty seven seconds? Did you guys see that? This
- 11:31Speaker 1: is how people? How into this show people are? They
- 11:34Speaker 1: do like they with their free time, they do like
- 11:36Speaker 1: graphs like this. How how often Donald is, how many
- 11:40Speaker 1: of all his recaps? How close he's to thirty seven seconds?
- 11:44Speaker 1: But let's see? Are you ready? I didn't I want
- 11:47Speaker 1: to say that I don't think this episode is that great.
- 11:49Speaker 1: There's some funny stuff in it, but it's a little
- 11:50Speaker 1: bit of a mad one to me. But maybe it's
- 11:52Speaker 1: just because I'm in an ass mood. All Are you ready? Yeah? Go?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Cox and Jordan need a break from the baby, Carla
- 11:58Speaker 1: wants a break from sex. Sex makes Elliott uncomfortable, and
- 12:02Speaker 1: the janitor thinks he's found a new VIC. Part of
- 12:05Speaker 1: me really didn't want to talk about this episode's meaning
- 12:08Speaker 1: because it's about sex, and if you know me, you
- 12:12Speaker 1: know how I can go on a tirade and on
- 12:15Speaker 1: and on and on about sex. But I'll just leave
- 12:17Speaker 1: it at this. We all need it, some more than others,
- 12:20Speaker 1: but no matter what, everyone should get it the way
- 12:22Speaker 1: they like it. M that's a good T shirt, ding ding.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Everybody should get it the way they like it. Thirty
- 12:30Speaker 1: one seconds, Donald, you're back to your original form um. Yeah,
- 12:34Speaker 1: it's about sex. There's a lot of sex in this episode,
- 12:36Speaker 1: or at least talk about sex. There's not a lot
- 12:38Speaker 1: of showing of sex. Well, Jordan and Cox do it
- 12:44Speaker 1: at the end. Yeah, Now, Carlola says. Carla says she
- 12:48Speaker 1: wants to not have sex for how long? Six months?
- 12:50Speaker 1: So they get married till till till the wedding night,
- 12:53Speaker 1: till after they said I do well, how what was
- 12:56Speaker 1: the length on that? Was it like six months? I
- 12:58Speaker 1: don't recall, but it's definitely some time. Six months is
- 13:01Speaker 1: a very long Well you want to do that? I
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't even believe a woman would want to do that.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Like she's just paid. She's just trying to pave the
- 13:09Speaker 1: way for when she says I do, she's gonna be
- 13:11Speaker 1: like okay, and no more sex now, because that's how
- 13:14Speaker 1: it goes. Maybe Carla doesn't have much of a libido
- 13:17Speaker 1: and she's just trying to be like look Broum, Yeah, no,
- 13:21Speaker 1: no doubt. Yeah, absolutely, she's trying to make it so
- 13:24Speaker 1: that Turk gets used to having to wait six months
- 13:28Speaker 1: till the next time he has sex again. So like
- 13:30Speaker 1: they'll do it on the wedding night and then he'll
- 13:32Speaker 1: be like the next day, he'll be like, hey, baby,
- 13:34Speaker 1: we marry, let's get it on. And she'd be like, Yo,
- 13:36Speaker 1: you know what, maybe we should wait a little bit more.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Just think of how great it was the night that
- 13:39Speaker 1: last night. And Turk's like, it was great last night,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and she was like, let's just wait a little bit.
- 13:44Speaker 1: They say when you get married Donald that the sex
- 13:47Speaker 1: decreases substantially. Um, I don't know if you have thoughts
- 13:51Speaker 1: on that. You know what, I'm never gonna throw my
- 13:53Speaker 1: wife under the bus in any way, shape and shape
- 13:58Speaker 1: or form. I get it plenty. I'm very you're satisfied.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I well, we all know I'm never satisfied because we
- 14:06Speaker 1: don't know that. I'm right. I can. I want it
- 14:09Speaker 1: forever and ever and ever and ever. My wife is fine.
- 14:13Speaker 1: We've talked about it on the show several times. You've
- 14:15Speaker 1: even drawn attention to her Instagram because of it, so
- 14:19Speaker 1: I've been she gained some followers after I gave her
- 14:22Speaker 1: that shout out. I'm sure, and that's the exact way
- 14:25Speaker 1: she wants to gain followers, but she wants people to
- 14:27Speaker 1: be like dad, I'm sure people are like, damn, where's
- 14:30Speaker 1: that fans? Only? Yeah? Oh, I think it's only only fans.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I think if your wife I tried to open it
- 14:38Speaker 1: only fans, you're allowed to object and say, honey, no,
- 14:41Speaker 1: you're not allowed to having only fans. Why not? There's
- 14:43Speaker 1: so many women out there with only fans. You'd be
- 14:46Speaker 1: okay with your wife having an only fans. The whole
- 14:48Speaker 1: point is that she does, like like naughty shit on
- 14:51Speaker 1: there to get money. All right, I'll say this, I'll say, right,
- 14:56Speaker 1: I'll say this, what's the other stuff? What do you
- 14:59Speaker 1: I'm not mad at any body. I'm not mad at
- 15:00Speaker 1: anybody who is doing that to make money. You know. No,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I'm not either. But I will say if my wife
- 15:09Speaker 1: was like, hey, babe, so I think I'm gonna start
- 15:11Speaker 1: an only fans and like show my taint, I'd be
- 15:16Speaker 1: like no. But if she doesn't sure her face, no,
- 15:20Speaker 1: I don't want my money. If no, I wouldn't be
- 15:26Speaker 1: comfortable with my wife showing her her bits, even with
- 15:32Speaker 1: her head not showing why you? I think, like, Joel,
- 15:35Speaker 1: help me out here. I can't. I'm sorry, I don't
- 15:39Speaker 1: you know if my partners are the sex work and
- 15:41Speaker 1: that's how they make their money. Like, that's what I'm
- 15:43Speaker 1: trying to say. Okay, if I choose, if I choose
- 15:47Speaker 1: to date a sex working person, Okay, and then let's
- 15:51Speaker 1: say in that analogy, sure I can't fucking fuck with
- 15:55Speaker 1: their money in their life, and I chose that. I'm
- 15:58Speaker 1: saying the scenario where Casey comes, He's like, hey, babes,
- 16:01Speaker 1: So I thought we could make a little money on
- 16:02Speaker 1: the side if every Friday night I go on only
- 16:05Speaker 1: fans and open my ass cheeks. These proposals are amazing.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I would be like, right, my eyes would first of all,
- 16:16Speaker 1: my eyes would get cartoonishly big, like, and then I
- 16:24Speaker 1: try to find a way to benagle it back away
- 16:26Speaker 1: from only fans and be like, Okay, well maybe we
- 16:29Speaker 1: should start someplace. That's a very big leap. Right, Let's
- 16:33Speaker 1: start small. Let's start small, honey, Let's start just you
- 16:36Speaker 1: and me. It's only me, right, you can make up
- 16:43Speaker 1: and you can you can just get whatever website you want,
- 16:46Speaker 1: but it's called on me, right exactly. We'll put it on.
- 16:50Speaker 1: We'll get a camera set up, we'll get a chip
- 16:54Speaker 1: and I'll you know however you want to do it.
- 16:56Speaker 1: But there's oh man, yeah, I think I'd have problems
- 16:59Speaker 1: with with that. But um, I call you black Whale
- 17:04Speaker 1: for the first time. You had just said that. I
- 17:06Speaker 1: didn't remember that this was one of your nicknames, and
- 17:10Speaker 1: I was right. And oh interesting bit of trivia on
- 17:13Speaker 1: this episode. It was clearly shot out of order from
- 17:16Speaker 1: the order of the episodes. I learned on scrubs Wiki.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I looked at scrubs Wiki also because I was confused.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I was like, am I watching the write episode right now?
- 17:24Speaker 1: And I went to scrubs Wicky and looked at this
- 17:26Speaker 1: was your first time in scrubs wiki. Yeah, but I
- 17:29Speaker 1: but I was. I was looking at it. What was
- 17:32Speaker 1: what was the purpose of it? It wasn't it was
- 17:34Speaker 1: because it was out of order, but it was something
- 17:35Speaker 1: else that came up in the show. Well whatever, for
- 17:40Speaker 1: whatever reason it was, I was on scrubs Wiki checking
- 17:43Speaker 1: out why. So just a little bit. It doesn't track
- 17:46Speaker 1: because I JD mentions he hasn't had sex and so long,
- 17:49Speaker 1: and he's all sort of down and he's alone, and
- 17:51Speaker 1: also Elliot's on is on the come up again and
- 17:54Speaker 1: it's happy and Shawn's back in town, right, and Seawan
- 17:57Speaker 1: is supposed to be away, um and he's just mysterious.
- 18:00Speaker 1: He shows up, so it's out of order. There was
- 18:03Speaker 1: there was some reason they changed the order of the
- 18:04Speaker 1: whole thing. Right. My sideburns are very long. Just thought
- 18:07Speaker 1: i'd throw that out there. I have like Elvis level sideburns.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Let's start. This is directed by Chris Kotch and written
- 18:14Speaker 1: by Matt Tarsis. Yes, Matt Tarsis um a very very
- 18:18Speaker 1: special man in my life. Also, Barry Boswick is on
- 18:22Speaker 1: in the episode, which is really interesting for me right
- 18:26Speaker 1: now because my kids are watching Teen Beach movie. My
- 18:32Speaker 1: daughter is, and he's he's like the grandfather in that
- 18:37Speaker 1: and it's a musical thing by Disney, and so watching that,
- 18:42Speaker 1: I'm I was sitting there, I was like, how do
- 18:43Speaker 1: I know this guy? Where do I know this guy?
- 18:45Speaker 1: He's been so many things, so many things, He's in everything.
- 18:49Speaker 1: But I was like, I know this guy, Like I
- 18:51Speaker 1: personally know this guy. Where do I know this guy from?
- 18:54Speaker 1: And then this came one and I was like, ah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: and he's hilarious and you know, he was on Spin City.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I think he's the fourth or fifth member of the
- 19:03Speaker 1: cast at this point in the Scrubs run to come
- 19:06Speaker 1: from Bill's first show, Spin City to be a guest star.
- 19:09Speaker 1: And you know, he's been in a zillion things, and
- 19:12Speaker 1: he was a Broadway star as well, and I think,
- 19:16Speaker 1: if I'm not mistaken, he was the star of the
- 19:19Speaker 1: Rocky Hard Picture Show. Correct, Joel, can you double check
- 19:25Speaker 1: that for me? Yeah, but he is hilarious. I thought
- 19:29Speaker 1: I didn't think this episode was that great to be
- 19:31Speaker 1: to be honest, but I did laugh every time Barry
- 19:34Speaker 1: Boswick kind of line. And one of my favorite things
- 19:36Speaker 1: is when you know he's supposed to be playing this
- 19:39Speaker 1: like episcopalian or waspy, serious sort of Connecticut guy. And
- 19:45Speaker 1: the hardest I love when he goes his wife, tells
- 19:47Speaker 1: his wife to leave the room and no, no, sorry,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I started taking nothing's going to be happening with your penis.
- 19:52Speaker 1: He goes, hey, don't you talk like that in front
- 19:55Speaker 1: of my wife lead of the room, And I go, well, certain,
- 19:58Speaker 1: and I start to talk and he goes go like,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I mean, it's just just so simple, but it's so
- 20:04Speaker 1: funny to me. Yes, he plays Brad Majors in The
- 20:07Speaker 1: Rocky Heart Picture Show. There you go, I that's another
- 20:11Speaker 1: great soundtrack, man, great sound at the late night double
- 20:15Speaker 1: feature pictures show. Uh uh uh, that's it is fire.
- 20:27Speaker 1: You don't know that. I've never gone to one of
- 20:29Speaker 1: those things. Daniel and Jewel, you need me as two
- 20:31Speaker 1: people who have done I am never, I never once.
- 20:36Speaker 1: But it was a total total blast. Oh I would
- 20:39Speaker 1: love to do that one day. Did they smoke Reefer?
- 20:42Speaker 1: I mean yes, yeah, I bet they. I think that
- 20:45Speaker 1: goes without saying it. That's like the one thing that
- 20:47Speaker 1: you know, you go to one of those things and
- 20:49Speaker 1: it's like a forty second street movie theater back in
- 20:51Speaker 1: the day, you're definitely gonna smell the reefer. And I
- 20:54Speaker 1: went to one that was entirely drag queens. Whole everybody
- 20:57Speaker 1: in the show drag queens. It was X. It was
- 21:00Speaker 1: amazing and it was out like underneath the stars are
- 21:03Speaker 1: so pretty and everybody calls the cost dude, I love
- 21:06Speaker 1: fandom guys. It was yeah. Oh you saw like a
- 21:09Speaker 1: play of it. Have you ever gone to like the act?
- 21:11Speaker 1: Know what they do is they donald They showed the
- 21:13Speaker 1: movie and fans go so crazy that they get up
- 21:16Speaker 1: on stage and they act out scenes and they haven't
- 21:18Speaker 1: they say a toast and people throw toast, and there's
- 21:20Speaker 1: like all this stuff that you do right, you bring
- 21:22Speaker 1: no I know that when I was a kid. Okay,
- 21:24Speaker 1: this is a very interesting story. And I hope I
- 21:28Speaker 1: get the teacher's name right, because if I get the
- 21:30Speaker 1: teacher's name wrong and the person didn't do this, they
- 21:35Speaker 1: could get in trouble. But this was back in the day,
- 21:40Speaker 1: mister Thatcher, I think it was seventh grade, six or
- 21:46Speaker 1: seventh grade, he played the record the Rocky Horror Picture
- 21:50Speaker 1: Show for us, right, it was a record and it
- 21:55Speaker 1: was very long, actually it was. We had to do
- 21:58Speaker 1: it in two I remember it was like two or
- 22:00Speaker 1: three periods, and it was I'm not sure if it
- 22:04Speaker 1: was English. I think it was English anyway, So we
- 22:07Speaker 1: did it three It took three days to do it,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and he played it on the record and he played
- 22:13Speaker 1: it with the crowd going along with the movie. So
- 22:19Speaker 1: the movies playing the record's playing the movie right and then,
- 22:23Speaker 1: but it's also playing like somebody recorded a session of
- 22:27Speaker 1: the Rocky Hard Picture Show. Do you understand what I'm saying? Yeah?
- 22:32Speaker 1: And I just thought, I remember thinking this is really
- 22:35Speaker 1: inappropriate for us in seventh grade inappropriate for seventh grade probably,
- 22:42Speaker 1: and I remember thinking, oh, well, there's no way I'm
- 22:46Speaker 1: gonna ever see this. But I lived in New York
- 22:49Speaker 1: and so as a kid, when you would ride the
- 22:52Speaker 1: train home, you would see all of these people coming
- 22:55Speaker 1: from the show that night, you know what I mean,
- 22:58Speaker 1: or you know, at midnight and you're out late, and
- 23:00Speaker 1: you'd see a bunch of people. And then they stopped
- 23:04Speaker 1: doing it. I remember it shut down and everything. I
- 23:06Speaker 1: don't know how did we get on Rocky Hard Picture Show. Well, well,
- 23:09Speaker 1: because we learned that our guest star played Brad Majors
- 23:12Speaker 1: in the original film. Let's get back to the show. Elliott.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I did not know that we did this. I was
- 23:19Speaker 1: very shocked that Elliott goes to give a woman a
- 23:21Speaker 1: pelvic exam and the woman has an orgasm. Now, I
- 23:24Speaker 1: just can't believe that that could be a real thing.
- 23:27Speaker 1: It just doesn't seem to me. And again, I want
- 23:29Speaker 1: to remind everyone that I don't currently have a vagina,
- 23:32Speaker 1: but I feel that if a doctor was in there
- 23:35Speaker 1: examining her, it would not lead me to orgasm. Okay,
- 23:47Speaker 1: does anyone have any comment? It would be shocking if
- 23:51Speaker 1: it did. I don't know vagina is very different. Not
- 23:54Speaker 1: allaginas are the same. You know, I'm about to say,
- 23:57Speaker 1: there's got to be somebody out there I likes that
- 23:59Speaker 1: shits got it right. So what you're saying is, it's
- 24:02Speaker 1: just like the one from Little shapaharas the dentist played
- 24:06Speaker 1: by Steve Martin who scares all of his patients and
- 24:09Speaker 1: then Bill Murray comes in and loves the pain. And
- 24:12Speaker 1: you are something special, you are something so under this
- 24:17Speaker 1: analogy that you're using, you think that there's probably, of course,
- 24:21Speaker 1: because there's a zillion kinks and a zillion people into everything,
- 24:24Speaker 1: there's probably a woman out there who who who does
- 24:28Speaker 1: get off on on having a pelvic exam? Yes, well, Elliott,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I think there are, and I think there are a
- 24:34Speaker 1: bunch of men that get off on getting fingers in
- 24:38Speaker 1: their butthole too. Well, No, that that we know, because
- 24:41Speaker 1: that's a that's a thing. But you're saying, um, you're
- 24:45Speaker 1: saying when they have their prostate, that'd be kind of
- 24:48Speaker 1: embarrassing if you're if you're a straight man and you're
- 24:50Speaker 1: and they're doing the prostate exam and you got um
- 24:55Speaker 1: fully hard. I wonder if that ever happened. Well, no,
- 24:57Speaker 1: if you went to orgasm too. Yeah. Yeah, and the
- 25:00Speaker 1: doctor's like and the doctor's like, bro, I'm just I
- 25:04Speaker 1: have to feel you have to do a quip prostituting.
- 25:07Speaker 1: You just came all over my Short's happened. It's it's
- 25:11Speaker 1: had to have happened before. It's hard to I'm just surprised, Someway,
- 25:19Speaker 1: could I miss the Willie talk button? Now's sake, stop
- 25:22Speaker 1: talking about your Willie? Sorry? Yeah, deb, Sorry, Deep, sorry, Deep,
- 25:26Speaker 1: I'm sorry if that got a little graphic. I was
- 25:28Speaker 1: just surprised that on an NBC primetime comedy we did
- 25:31Speaker 1: a joke about Sarah making a woman come from a
- 25:34Speaker 1: pelvic exam, but we did so there you get it.
- 25:38Speaker 1: And then I had been an awesome pred fall by
- 25:41Speaker 1: Sarah right after that, very nice proud fall by Sarah.
- 25:44Speaker 1: And then I have the fantasy where my picturing of it,
- 25:48Speaker 1: of course she's like a twenty five year old model,
- 25:51Speaker 1: not the gal that Sarah actually did it too. Mike Schwartz,
- 25:56Speaker 1: who's we've spoken about before, who's one of our favorite
- 25:59Speaker 1: of any writers, who plays Lloyd the Delivery Guy, makes
- 26:03Speaker 1: his first appearance. It's character is beginning to form, though
- 26:08Speaker 1: this is like second or third appearance. But this comes
- 26:11Speaker 1: after the joke. Yeah, but let me double check with
- 26:14Speaker 1: your mom. That didn't make you laugh? Was there laugh
- 26:18Speaker 1: out loud at that? That was funny? Carla's bossy and
- 26:22Speaker 1: can't take jokes at her expense. That's the storyline for Carla. Well,
- 26:26Speaker 1: that's what everyone assumes, is that she can't take jokes
- 26:29Speaker 1: at her expense, but she could take it as long
- 26:30Speaker 1: as it's from people that she cares about, right, But
- 26:33Speaker 1: she seems to not like it so much so that
- 26:35Speaker 1: when she comes home upset and breaks the sex the
- 26:38Speaker 1: sex what do you call it? Lockdown? Yeah? Whatever? It is.
- 26:43Speaker 1: The But I just don't know why anyone would want
- 26:50Speaker 1: to do that to someone, you know what I mean,
- 26:52Speaker 1: why anyone would want to just be like, yo, you
- 26:55Speaker 1: know what, we're gonna shut it down for six months.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Because here's the thing. I think you're coming at it
- 27:01Speaker 1: from a point. If someone we've already established has a
- 27:03Speaker 1: an infinite libido, I think there are plenty of people
- 27:07Speaker 1: who were like, yeah, sex is great, Um, it's fun
- 27:10Speaker 1: every now and then. No, I don't want to do
- 27:13Speaker 1: it all the time. So I think I'm imagining Carla
- 27:16Speaker 1: was like I love Turk. I love sex with Turk.
- 27:18Speaker 1: But imagine how sexy it will be if we really
- 27:21Speaker 1: hold out for a long ass time and don't have sex. Now, Turk,
- 27:25Speaker 1: who we can assume it's a smidgen like Donald is
- 27:29Speaker 1: quite disappointed at that idea. Yeah, absolutely, But this comes after.
- 27:34Speaker 1: This comes after he tells the janitor, who's now looking
- 27:37Speaker 1: for a new victim because j D has stood up
- 27:42Speaker 1: to him and said, dude, you're recycling all year old,
- 27:45Speaker 1: you're old pranks now and your little jokes on me. Fine,
- 27:48Speaker 1: janitor is now looking for a new victim. Yeah, and
- 27:51Speaker 1: it turns on Turk. Finally, finally there's a Turk v.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Turk v the janitor. This is like the first time,
- 27:57Speaker 1: isn't this the first time you guys have had anything?
- 28:00Speaker 1: This is the first time these two gomano imano and
- 28:03Speaker 1: turn because you took a basketball a shot at the
- 28:07Speaker 1: trash can with a piece of paper. Yeah, but well
- 28:10Speaker 1: that's not why, it's that's not what that's what kind
- 28:13Speaker 1: of start. That's that was like the icebreaker of high
- 28:17Speaker 1: I'm Turk and the janitor being like, who are you again? Right?
- 28:21Speaker 1: What really does it is? Turk saying to him, I'm untouchable.
- 28:24Speaker 1: You can't do anything to me. There's nothing that you
- 28:28Speaker 1: can possibly do that'll mess up my day. But he
- 28:32Speaker 1: doesn't end up doesn't delivering on that. Sure he does.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Why because he plays that song in the loop hallway.
- 28:39Speaker 1: He plays, um, we don't have to take up uh huh.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I mean that's his only room. That's how he pranks you.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I mean that's pretty lame prank. Maybe there was something
- 28:55Speaker 1: more too. I thought it was building and maybe it
- 28:57Speaker 1: got cut. Maybe it got cut. I don't like, well,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you know, you can't. You can't introduce that the janitor
- 29:02Speaker 1: will now fuck with Turk and have the only thing
- 29:05Speaker 1: be like we don't have to take off clothes on.
- 29:09Speaker 1: But it comes right after Turk finds out that he's
- 29:11Speaker 1: not going to have sex anymore. And if you can
- 29:13Speaker 1: see how important it is to Turk throughout the show
- 29:17Speaker 1: as he's talking about it, she just said no. She
- 29:19Speaker 1: was like right there in my face, looked me dead
- 29:21Speaker 1: my eyes and said to me, I don't want to
- 29:24Speaker 1: do it anymore. It hurt me so bad. Oh my god.
- 29:26Speaker 1: You know he's going on and on its JD goes
- 29:29Speaker 1: into the fantasy, so you know, I think it does
- 29:33Speaker 1: sting when it does when when the janitor does it.
- 29:36Speaker 1: But yeah, you're right, that is kind of it's not
- 29:39Speaker 1: it's not as climactic as some of the pranks that
- 29:42Speaker 1: he's playing out. I felt like there was a missing
- 29:44Speaker 1: scene or something. There's this old expression in writing, like
- 29:46Speaker 1: if you introduce a gun in the first act, it
- 29:49Speaker 1: better go off by the end of the movie. And
- 29:51Speaker 1: I felt like you introduced like the janitor will now
- 29:54Speaker 1: take on Turk, And it was like, nothing really ever happened.
- 29:57Speaker 1: He just played a song that piss you off. But yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 1: maybe something. I cut very funny line when Kelso says
- 30:06Speaker 1: to uh Sarah chalk um, you need to be able
- 30:11Speaker 1: to say penis or vagina or anal and Sarah says,
- 30:16Speaker 1: anal's not a dirty word, sir, And he goes tell
- 30:19Speaker 1: that to my wife. So now you know that Kelso
- 30:25Speaker 1: has been turned down for anal sex with his multiple
- 30:28Speaker 1: time too. Yes, so much so that she's like, it's
- 30:31Speaker 1: a bad word. It's a bad word, honey, it's a
- 30:34Speaker 1: bad word. So if you want it, I don't know
- 30:36Speaker 1: why that's not on Scrubs Wiki. In this episode, we
- 30:39Speaker 1: learned that Kelso is not having anal sex with his wife.
- 30:45Speaker 1: How about when I say, how about wait, well, let's
- 30:47Speaker 1: go back though we forgot something. How about the janitor
- 30:50Speaker 1: thinking that he was a mermaid because of the fumes
- 30:53Speaker 1: in the air ducks and having to give wishes to
- 30:56Speaker 1: imaginary fisherman. Yeah, because he's in the air ducks. Um
- 31:02Speaker 1: like die hard right? Um? Uptown girl got me through
- 31:07Speaker 1: high school? Is this something that j D says? And
- 31:12Speaker 1: Elliott says swing shwo so Elliott? And then and then
- 31:17Speaker 1: Carla takes out a playboy to try and make this
- 31:20Speaker 1: is so so silly. The woman's a fucking doctor and
- 31:24Speaker 1: Carla's got her look into playboy, being like, you need
- 31:27Speaker 1: to look at this and save vagina. And she's like,
- 31:31Speaker 1: she can't do it. She's so uncomfortable. Oh that's what.
- 31:34Speaker 1: She goes. It has a tear drop tattoo on it.
- 31:37Speaker 1: And she goes, what does she say? She goes, it
- 31:39Speaker 1: looks sad, sad. She goes, she has a she has
- 31:43Speaker 1: a tattoo of a tear drop on her bajingo? Is
- 31:45Speaker 1: it sad? That's a tough one, man? What that's a
- 31:54Speaker 1: tough one? Oh gosh, what vagina tattoos? Yeah, it's tough. Yeah, um,
- 32:00Speaker 1: I don't. I don't far be it for me to
- 32:03Speaker 1: tell anyone to what to do with their vagina. But
- 32:05Speaker 1: I if I had one. Again, this is the second
- 32:08Speaker 1: time I'm theorizing. But this is the second time I'm
- 32:11Speaker 1: pontificating on it. If I had a vagina, I wouldn't
- 32:13Speaker 1: tattoo mine. That's just me that one looks sad because
- 32:17Speaker 1: of a tear drop. How much would you have to
- 32:25Speaker 1: be paid be paid to tattoo your penis? Oh? Not
- 32:29Speaker 1: very much? Oh really? Yeah, like two million, three million,
- 32:33Speaker 1: I'll do it. Not very much. That's three million dollars.
- 32:36Speaker 1: That's a lot of money. Yeah, well some people, some people.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Some people would be like, fuck you. I'm not doing
- 32:41Speaker 1: it for three million dollars. I am of the elk.
- 32:44Speaker 1: That would be like, yeah, three million dollars not big
- 32:47Speaker 1: at the tattoo. I'm saying. I bet you could do
- 32:49Speaker 1: it for less if I came over your house with
- 32:52Speaker 1: no way one hundred grand cash and in no one
- 32:54Speaker 1: hundred dollar bills in a super no way. I think
- 32:57Speaker 1: and and and and you're and you're gonna tattoo my penis.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do it. No, I'll have doctor Wu
- 33:02Speaker 1: do it a very fancy tattoo artist. It'd be probably
- 33:05Speaker 1: an honor for him to hold that eel that that
- 33:11Speaker 1: touched me. I kind of felt that inside when you
- 33:13Speaker 1: said that. But how he said to hold it like this,
- 33:15Speaker 1: like a like a big gat Like it's not even
- 33:19Speaker 1: close to that, all right? But no, I just are
- 33:22Speaker 1: you telling our fans, our listeners all across the world
- 33:25Speaker 1: that if I showed up with a hundred grand in
- 33:27Speaker 1: cash and said, Donald, doctor Woo is here to tattoo
- 33:30Speaker 1: your penis, you'd say, no, how big is the tattoo? Man,
- 33:33Speaker 1: I'm not a big fan of It's just like my
- 33:35Speaker 1: head like this, like with a smile. No, absolutely not
- 33:40Speaker 1: worry more money, more money, No, we should go to break.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry, guys, we're so silly because we're drying it.
- 33:52Speaker 1: We're trying to just get the it's got a commercial.
- 33:56Speaker 1: We'll be right back. Sorry for you and her back
- 34:05Speaker 1: were bad. How about how Elliott has this horrible memory
- 34:10Speaker 1: of Orgey her mom. The reason that she's so uptight
- 34:13Speaker 1: sexually is that her mom was banging the pool guy
- 34:16Speaker 1: in the potting shed. Yeah, Marky Post is back on
- 34:18Speaker 1: the show. Markie posts back, and she says, Jorge, we
- 34:22Speaker 1: need to see you in the potting shed right right
- 34:24Speaker 1: right after she says after she says, don't ever let
- 34:27Speaker 1: a boy put his whizzy winkle in your Pajinko is
- 34:33Speaker 1: whizzy Winkle, And she says something like, my mom was
- 34:37Speaker 1: always yelling at that. My mom was always yelling at
- 34:40Speaker 1: Jorge in that potting shed, but she never fired him,
- 34:43Speaker 1: even after he kidnapped her and brought her to Akapoco
- 34:45Speaker 1: or something like for friends. So stupid said, this was
- 34:56Speaker 1: a funny episode and we're laughing our ass off right now.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Ri just put it out there. But I did put
- 35:02Speaker 1: it out there. Maybe maybe my negative mood may of
- 35:06Speaker 1: I didn't think it's there. I think the Barry boss
- 35:08Speaker 1: wook was funny, and I think that Sarah's trying to
- 35:11Speaker 1: avoid using genitalia terms is funny. There's a great cowboy
- 35:17Speaker 1: switch when Judy repels down the building and then breaks
- 35:20Speaker 1: through the window. That was awesome. I think that was
- 35:23Speaker 1: even a not only a switch, that was a cut
- 35:27Speaker 1: Judy run in and and then pop up type thing. No,
- 35:32Speaker 1: I think no stunt woman comes through the window and
- 35:35Speaker 1: then Judy pops up from the table. I'm telling you,
- 35:37Speaker 1: I think there was a cut in there. I'm just
- 35:38Speaker 1: gonna put it out there. This is something that maybe
- 35:40Speaker 1: we should ask Bill about. No, we can go back
- 35:42Speaker 1: and look and see if there's a cut. There's no cut. No,
- 35:44Speaker 1: I don't mean there's a I don't mean there's a cut. Like,
- 35:47Speaker 1: I don't mean there's It's like the lightsabers in Star
- 35:49Speaker 1: Wars back in the day with Obi Wan Kenobi when
- 35:53Speaker 1: they show him turn on a lightsaber, or when Luke
- 35:55Speaker 1: turned on a lightsaber and they had to cut and
- 35:58Speaker 1: then somebody runs in and hold pose. Then somebody runs
- 36:01Speaker 1: in and screws in the lightsaber. Yeah, I don't out.
- 36:04Speaker 1: I really do believe it's that you're making me scroll
- 36:07Speaker 1: the episode to find it because I think you're wrong.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I think I'm right, but well, because I'm proud of
- 36:13Speaker 1: a dope cowboy switch when we pulled them off, and
- 36:15Speaker 1: I think we did, I mean, it wouldn't. I don't
- 36:17Speaker 1: think that was proplicated. How Judy hiding under the table,
- 36:20Speaker 1: It's not like it's that advanced to do it. Well,
- 36:22Speaker 1: there's not that much room for her to be able
- 36:23Speaker 1: to do that, especially with somebody jumping through a glass.
- 36:25Speaker 1: It's my point. Well, I can't find it. So if
- 36:30Speaker 1: you're watching this and you care, I don't think there's
- 36:32Speaker 1: a cut point in there. And I think our stunt
- 36:35Speaker 1: team did a fantastic job there. It's a little not
- 36:38Speaker 1: a cut point, that little blink, that little yeah you're
- 36:41Speaker 1: saying they said everyone freeze and then put Judy in. No,
- 36:45Speaker 1: that's not how we roll that scrub. I'm just I
- 36:49Speaker 1: love you, man. I don't want to fight, all right.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I'm wearing a Onesie when Cox comes over, which is
- 36:55Speaker 1: just for no reason, but I guess j D is
- 37:00Speaker 1: a big fan of onesies as we know. And um,
- 37:04Speaker 1: I actually liked it. It was a beautiful onesie. I
- 37:06Speaker 1: would have warned that I'd wear that right now. But
- 37:08Speaker 1: I speaking of onesies, Yeah, will the Onesies be available
- 37:13Speaker 1: for the Christmas season? They're gonna be ail Yeah, Joel,
- 37:16Speaker 1: when are they going to be available? Now that we've reproved,
- 37:19Speaker 1: Now that we've reproved the now that I've given notes
- 37:22Speaker 1: m now that now that we have your approval, we
- 37:25Speaker 1: should be fast tracking. I think our goal was to
- 37:27Speaker 1: give them out for the holiday season. They have to
- 37:29Speaker 1: be and you know, we need to order a lot,
- 37:31Speaker 1: because when our fans go to buy stuff, they're gone.
- 37:34Speaker 1: I think these need to be ready to you know,
- 37:36Speaker 1: if you order them, then we can make them for you.
- 37:38Speaker 1: I think we need to jump to that on that
- 37:40Speaker 1: get on the phone right now, No, dude, because people
- 37:44Speaker 1: are gonna want these. I'm gonna buy probably ten for
- 37:46Speaker 1: my family. These are gonna go fast, right, That's what
- 37:49Speaker 1: I'm saying. We should make it so if you want them,
- 37:51Speaker 1: you can get them, right. I don't all our shit
- 37:54Speaker 1: sells out so fast. You know how hard it was
- 37:56Speaker 1: to get cone in a washcloth? We had to, like really,
- 38:00Speaker 1: it was an event. Joel was like Joel's full time
- 38:05Speaker 1: job became get conan O'Brien a washbark. I love it,
- 38:08Speaker 1: you know what. I love this And you know why
- 38:10Speaker 1: I love this. I love this because that makes our
- 38:12Speaker 1: stuff like supreme. It's it's one of one of an
- 38:16Speaker 1: not one of a con but there's one of certain
- 38:18Speaker 1: only certain amountains. So yeah, this time, you know what
- 38:21Speaker 1: you're right for the onesie for this Christmas holiday. The
- 38:24Speaker 1: onesie is a limited edition. How many should we make?
- 38:27Speaker 1: Like five? And we're gonna only and we're gonna hit
- 38:30Speaker 1: that hit that refreshed button to get it please, Well,
- 38:32Speaker 1: how many should we make? Five hundred? Sure, we could
- 38:37Speaker 1: probably do that. Five hundred team is good. I feel
- 38:39Speaker 1: like five hundred people would want these onesies. They look stellar,
- 38:43Speaker 1: They're super comfortable. It's cold. You guys aren't leaving your
- 38:45Speaker 1: houses and changing clothes anyway, really, so this is perfect.
- 38:48Speaker 1: It's perfect. It's very cozy. It's very cozy, and Donald
- 38:51Speaker 1: and I are both all over your body. I wish
- 38:54Speaker 1: you not a poop flap though it doesn't have any
- 38:58Speaker 1: You know what's crazy, it's not many onesies do. Only
- 39:00Speaker 1: the old like Western ones that you know, the dude
- 39:03Speaker 1: that stalks like there's some lives in the in the
- 39:06Speaker 1: near the ad house, that guy, um all right, well
- 39:12Speaker 1: the ones he's are coming to a website near you.
- 39:15Speaker 1: You just gotta wait till Joel makes it happen. Oh,
- 39:19Speaker 1: So I thought it was weird at the end where
- 39:21Speaker 1: JD is like everyone's having sex, You're having sex, Cox
- 39:25Speaker 1: is having sex. And then I'm babysitting and I'm like,
- 39:29Speaker 1: come on, cinemax, and so I turned the baby around
- 39:32Speaker 1: so he's not looking at the screen, and I'm like
- 39:35Speaker 1: showing him a toy while I watch Cinemax and then
- 39:38Speaker 1: you're like, hello Cinemax. Yeah, yeah, it's it's it's there's
- 39:42Speaker 1: a lot of weird things about it, like Cox comes
- 39:44Speaker 1: over to the apartment and stays with us for the night,
- 39:47Speaker 1: and because you told me, yeah, Like there's a lot
- 39:51Speaker 1: of weird things in this it's not our best, everybody,
- 39:54Speaker 1: I don't think. I don't hold on. I'm not gonna
- 39:56Speaker 1: say it's not our best. I think it's. I think
- 39:58Speaker 1: it's a very fine episode and has a lot of
- 40:00Speaker 1: very funny but it's one of those episodes that you
- 40:02Speaker 1: could just put on at any time and say this
- 40:05Speaker 1: is Scrub, Like if you needed to give somebody a
- 40:08Speaker 1: definition of what Scrubs is, I think this is a
- 40:10Speaker 1: perfect example. But I agree this is not it's not
- 40:14Speaker 1: it's not the funniest laughs, and it's not there's no heart. Really,
- 40:18Speaker 1: you know, we were known for our wearing our heart
- 40:20Speaker 1: on our sleeve. I think, well, we're known for having
- 40:24Speaker 1: really good special episodes. If that's what you mean. No,
- 40:27Speaker 1: but I mean a great episode of Scrubs makes you
- 40:29Speaker 1: laugh a lot. There's some silly fantasies, and then and
- 40:32Speaker 1: then and then at the end somehow breaks your heart
- 40:34Speaker 1: a bit, and they don't all have to do that up.
- 40:36Speaker 1: But I think, but, but, but I think the majority
- 40:38Speaker 1: of the episodes are more like this, and I think
- 40:40Speaker 1: the ones that stand out are like the ones you're
- 40:42Speaker 1: talking about. All Right, I want to talk about something
- 40:45Speaker 1: that is controversial. I'm shocking that people are very upset
- 40:49Speaker 1: that baby Yoda is eating fish eggs, frog eggs, but
- 40:54Speaker 1: they're unfertilized. Every one of you mofos that have eggs
- 40:57Speaker 1: for breakfast, there are unfertilized eggs. Right, everyone's all upset.
- 41:02Speaker 1: But Joel you said to me on Twitter that they
- 41:05Speaker 1: thought it's that people are thinking that baby Yoda might
- 41:08Speaker 1: be turning to the dark side. So okay, So I
- 41:10Speaker 1: had some people DM me and they were like, there's
- 41:13Speaker 1: two conversations happening. There's a group of Star Wars fans
- 41:17Speaker 1: who were like, yo, is this you know, a pretensive
- 41:20Speaker 1: dark side? Baby Yoda is the child going dark side?
- 41:23Speaker 1: And then apparently there was some other, like fringe group
- 41:25Speaker 1: of people talking about how this was controversial and I
- 41:28Speaker 1: missed that conversation. I don't know what all of that
- 41:30Speaker 1: was about, but me and my crew were like yo,
- 41:33Speaker 1: what does this mean? Like, what's happening with the child?
- 41:36Speaker 1: Because we've seen him. Do you know he's choked out
- 41:39Speaker 1: some people, he could stopped some fires, like before we go,
- 41:43Speaker 1: before we go further, Danil, before we go further, hit
- 41:46Speaker 1: the spoiler button for everybody so that they know we're
- 41:48Speaker 1: getting into spoiler spoiler Warner, Oh yeah, sorry, spoilers, but everyone,
- 41:56Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know. Yeah, you're absolutely right about that, Joel,
- 42:00Speaker 1: your your crew is right to wonder those things. I
- 42:05Speaker 1: feel like and now that we've come to have you
- 42:08Speaker 1: guys seen the latest episode. No, don't talk about that fire.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Oh so good. Listen, Dallas Howard can direct direct. All right,
- 42:20Speaker 1: let's not do any spoilers. Don't get into it. Don't
- 42:24Speaker 1: get into it. Don't let's not get into it. But
- 42:25Speaker 1: we can't talk about We're allowed to talk about the
- 42:27Speaker 1: one I saw and I just thought he's a kid.
- 42:29Speaker 1: He doesn't know any better. He's hungry. Everybody, calm down,
- 42:31Speaker 1: they're unfertilized eggs. Well, it's not just that, it's also
- 42:34Speaker 1: what they're showing too. In the beginning of the episode,
- 42:36Speaker 1: they're you know, dipping through the desert on the speeder bike.
- 42:41Speaker 1: You know, he gets ambushed. He beats everybody up except
- 42:45Speaker 1: this one guy has the knife on the kid. He
- 42:48Speaker 1: convinces the guy to take the treasure that's on the
- 42:51Speaker 1: bike and leave the kid. The guy goes for the
- 42:54Speaker 1: treasure and it's running away with it and he kills
- 42:58Speaker 1: the guy in cold blood. Get out of it. This
- 43:01Speaker 1: slight kills him just you know what, and not even
- 43:03Speaker 1: not even kills him. Quick kills him. Slow takes us
- 43:07Speaker 1: takes him, takes him up into the sky. So the
- 43:10Speaker 1: guy's like, oh God, why did I grab this? And
- 43:12Speaker 1: then falls to his way plumbers. What's wrong with that?
- 43:16Speaker 1: He stole the kid. The kid's watching all of that.
- 43:19Speaker 1: If you have children, the last thing you want to
- 43:22Speaker 1: do is put your kids into that one. Right, Well,
- 43:27Speaker 1: no doubt he's he's down. He's grooming this kid. He's
- 43:32Speaker 1: grooming this kid to be vicious. He's grooming this kid
- 43:36Speaker 1: to be merciless. All this kid sees is war and
- 43:40Speaker 1: fighting and everything like that, and that affects the force,
- 43:45Speaker 1: and it's gonna turn this kid to the dark side.
- 43:48Speaker 1: On this path, this kid is gonna develop fear. This
- 43:51Speaker 1: kid's gonna he already has too much. I think he's
- 43:55Speaker 1: a cute kill No, this is what turned anakin to
- 43:57Speaker 1: Darth Vader. Dude, don't turn don't turn this into a right,
- 44:00Speaker 1: don't start this shit? All right? Is the guest share Joel? Yes,
- 44:04Speaker 1: let's all cool off and invite the guest in because
- 44:07Speaker 1: I know Donald's gonna get really worked up about Mandalorian.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Do we want to go to break first? Oh? Yes,
- 44:12Speaker 1: well go on a quick break and when we come
- 44:13Speaker 1: back an exciting guest. Hello, Oh my god, babies. Well
- 44:33Speaker 1: now on latch, Stephanie, welcome to the program. Oh this
- 44:38Speaker 1: is surreal. Weh Hi. This is us um Zach. That's
- 44:41Speaker 1: Daniel and Joel, and that's Donald Fason right there. Hello,
- 44:46Speaker 1: how are you all? Um? How are you? We're really good?
- 44:49Speaker 1: You're doing that spin bike? Is that a peloton? It's not.
- 44:52Speaker 1: It is a cheaper version, but I use a peloton
- 44:54Speaker 1: app All right, Well, good listen. We don't We're just
- 44:58Speaker 1: happy you're getting it because me and Don all they're
- 45:00Speaker 1: getting it. We were trying to get that peloton deal.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Going peloton winside Beyonce. Yeah. I don't know why you
- 45:06Speaker 1: would choose Beyonce over Donald and I, but I guess
- 45:09Speaker 1: Beyonce is the news folk spokesperson for Peloton. I don't
- 45:15Speaker 1: know why we can't also, um, what is the best?
- 45:18Speaker 1: What is the Beyonce aspect of it? I guess they're
- 45:20Speaker 1: specific beyon the hours of amazing music you could do,
- 45:23Speaker 1: pump it out to you. Plus she donated. Um, basically,
- 45:27Speaker 1: she's paying for a bunch of historically black colleges to
- 45:30Speaker 1: have access to the Peloton Acts, so like their students
- 45:33Speaker 1: can use their student email to log in for free
- 45:36Speaker 1: and get access to like healthy services. So, and let's
- 45:39Speaker 1: be honest, Cody and Beyonce together is hilarious and fun.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And Cody's gay, right, Cody's gay. He's talked about his partner. Okay, yeah,
- 45:53Speaker 1: good see. I didn't know, thank you, Stephanie. I didn't
- 45:57Speaker 1: know if Cody was gay or not. And I obviously
- 45:59Speaker 1: don't give a but I was just trying to guess
- 46:01Speaker 1: because he's you know, it was it was a little
- 46:04Speaker 1: hard to tell. But then, yeah, I thought he mentioned
- 46:06Speaker 1: his partner Donald. You didn't know he was gay. I
- 46:10Speaker 1: thought you were being facetious, oh, because he's so gay?
- 46:13Speaker 1: All right? But I really like him. He's my my
- 46:17Speaker 1: new favorite. He's my favorite dude, he's so, he's my
- 46:20Speaker 1: favorite man. He's had totally and he's hard and he
- 46:23Speaker 1: works you hard. For those of you out there who
- 46:25Speaker 1: have Peloton bikes or Peloton apps and work out with
- 46:29Speaker 1: with uh the Peloton crew, check out Cody. He's a
- 46:33Speaker 1: lot of fun. And also Leanne Haynesby because I like
- 46:36Speaker 1: her because she's British and she says, all right, that
- 46:38Speaker 1: section's done and dusted. All right, Stephanie, our spinning buddy,
- 46:43Speaker 1: how are you tell us where you are? I'm in Toronto, Ontario? Okay,
- 46:48Speaker 1: Toronto can my favorite six Yeah? Donald loves that. Doctor
- 46:57Speaker 1: Stephanie Oh with an incredible story and kind of ask.
- 47:02Speaker 1: So I thought maybe we could start with a is
- 47:05Speaker 1: that how you prefer to be called? Do you prefer
- 47:06Speaker 1: to call you doctor? Stephanie? Um, I'm a PhD, not
- 47:11Speaker 1: m D. So clarify I a psychologist. We still respect that.
- 47:15Speaker 1: My my, my mom is a psychologist. We respect it. Yeah,
- 47:18Speaker 1: so I'm like mom, Uh yeah, different topic, but yes,
- 47:25Speaker 1: do you do like a clinical in a sense you
- 47:27Speaker 1: see people in your home? Or I used to m
- 47:31Speaker 1: I actually stopped just before COVID. I do research now,
- 47:34Speaker 1: so I'm a child psychologist um and I actually ran
- 47:38Speaker 1: a big study in the summer on COVID and teens
- 47:41Speaker 1: and mental health just to see how they were doing.
- 47:44Speaker 1: And I guess I wanted to to advocate for Team
- 47:48Speaker 1: Mental Health with Oh my god, you picked the perfect
- 47:51Speaker 1: the right place, pick you picked the perfect day, because
- 47:55Speaker 1: go ahead and check. No, I'm just I'm I'm Joel
- 47:59Speaker 1: is always. You're an amazing producer. You didn't even know
- 48:01Speaker 1: that we'd all be feeling melancholic today, but you weren't
- 48:04Speaker 1: on the call earlier, Stephanie. We're just talking about feeling
- 48:06Speaker 1: the blues. And to be honest, on a very serious note,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I saw that the suicide rate is skyrocketing, and so
- 48:14Speaker 1: there are those of us who are down and feeling it,
- 48:17Speaker 1: and then there are of course those who are on
- 48:19Speaker 1: another level, and that's terrifying, And so what do we
- 48:24Speaker 1: do to help, Stephanie. I mean, I feel like I
- 48:26Speaker 1: just tweeted out the other day a suicide hotline number
- 48:29Speaker 1: because that was kind of going viral when when those
- 48:32Speaker 1: numbers came out. But those of us who who feel
- 48:35Speaker 1: it on our own, you know, our own level and
- 48:41Speaker 1: our feeling melancholic, I almost feel like I could feel
- 48:47Speaker 1: better if I was proactively trying to help people who
- 48:50Speaker 1: are suicidal in some way. So what we're seeing, at
- 48:54Speaker 1: least with the teens is that relationships are like the
- 48:58Speaker 1: most protective that we can use. So and it's so hard,
- 49:03Speaker 1: right because you can't be in person, so all of
- 49:05Speaker 1: our relationships our online, which is so tough. Um. But
- 49:09Speaker 1: like with with teens, with kids, I mean, parents are
- 49:14Speaker 1: key man like it's the attack that we call the
- 49:17Speaker 1: attachment relationships. So it's the parents ability to regulate their kids.
- 49:22Speaker 1: So the more regulated a parent can stay, the more
- 49:25Speaker 1: regulated the kid will be. So it's keeping your fake
- 49:29Speaker 1: it though, right, I mean a little bit. It must
- 49:32Speaker 1: be hard for parents who are really suffering and they
- 49:34Speaker 1: they sort of have to fake it in front of
- 49:37Speaker 1: their kids, right. Yeah, it's so so tough, and I think, um,
- 49:41Speaker 1: empathy is such a powerful, powerful tool that we could use.
- 49:45Speaker 1: So I always joke because I do a lot of
- 49:47Speaker 1: work with teenagers. That's my that's my group, and I
- 49:50Speaker 1: and I always say to the parents, you know, try
- 49:52Speaker 1: to respond with some variant of that sucks. Don't try
- 49:57Speaker 1: to fix it, just understand where they're coming from. And
- 50:01Speaker 1: it's amazing how powerful that is, and parents come back
- 50:04Speaker 1: to me and say, you know, oh my god, they
- 50:06Speaker 1: told me so much. I had no idea what was
- 50:09Speaker 1: going on. I had no idea what was happening. I
- 50:12Speaker 1: go get my wife real quick so she can hear
- 50:14Speaker 1: some of this conversation. It's your show, dude, your love
- 50:19Speaker 1: to do whatever you want now, Stephanie. I'm sure there's
- 50:28Speaker 1: a lot of people listening who would think, oh, yeah,
- 50:31Speaker 1: you know, my kid gets down. They're a normal teenager.
- 50:33Speaker 1: But they would be surprised to learn that maybe behind
- 50:36Speaker 1: their backs, the kid is a lot more down than
- 50:39Speaker 1: they know. So what are the what are the warning
- 50:41Speaker 1: signs that anyone listening might might and what can they
- 50:44Speaker 1: do to just to to to to just make sure
- 50:47Speaker 1: that they're clear with their kids at So I think
- 50:49Speaker 1: that's a great point. And actually, we we did our
- 50:52Speaker 1: survey in the summer. We look at parents reports and youth,
- 50:56Speaker 1: and the youth reported actually over fifty percent of the
- 50:59Speaker 1: kids said that they or at it like a clinical
- 51:01Speaker 1: level of depression, which is huge, absolutely huge. And then
- 51:06Speaker 1: the parents actually reported that their kids were more oppositional
- 51:11Speaker 1: and had behavior problems. So it seems to be coming
- 51:14Speaker 1: out as like an oppositional argumentative, that kind of irritative
- 51:21Speaker 1: personality rather than say more depressed, down moody. You can
- 51:27Speaker 1: come out in a variety of ways, and that's where
- 51:29Speaker 1: I think the empathy comes in of just like trying
- 51:33Speaker 1: to understand where they're coming from. If they come in
- 51:35Speaker 1: and they're screaming, you know, screw you, get out of
- 51:38Speaker 1: my life, just be like, wow, you sound really mad,
- 51:42Speaker 1: Like what's going on? You know it? Parents very quickly
- 51:47Speaker 1: go to let me solve it, let me fix it,
- 51:49Speaker 1: or they go to like let me fix the behavior
- 51:53Speaker 1: in the moment, but realizing that that behavior, there's something
- 51:57Speaker 1: going on underneath that behavior can help the parent understand,
- 52:01Speaker 1: you know, what's going on for their kids. And we know,
- 52:04Speaker 1: like in therapists, we have what we call it the
- 52:08Speaker 1: common factors. So you talked about CBT on a previous
- 52:12Speaker 1: cognitive behavior. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yesh, I've just mentioned
- 52:14Speaker 1: that's been helpful to me. Yeah, And we've got that,
- 52:17Speaker 1: we've got like the more traditional top therapy. They found
- 52:21Speaker 1: when they actually tested all the different types of therapy,
- 52:24Speaker 1: it's actually the relationship between the therapist and the client
- 52:28Speaker 1: that matters the most. So the skills and The tools
- 52:33Speaker 1: definitely help. But you can read tools in a in
- 52:36Speaker 1: a textbook, or you can readtort to a book or online.
- 52:39Speaker 1: But it's that relationship that really matters. Yeah, I mean,
- 52:42Speaker 1: I'm sure there's so many people listening now, either as
- 52:45Speaker 1: an as an adult or people who are parents, who
- 52:48Speaker 1: who are worried about this, because I mean that this
- 52:52Speaker 1: is Casey Donald's wife and they've been they've been, they've
- 52:55Speaker 1: been talking about how they they were excited. Casey Donald
- 52:58Speaker 1: is talking about even though COVID scary wanted your kids
- 53:02Speaker 1: to be back in school for their own mental health
- 53:04Speaker 1: because they had such cabin fever and they were going
- 53:06Speaker 1: a little nutty. Yeah. Yeah, it was really bad. Yeah,
- 53:10Speaker 1: at the beginning, nice to meet you. In the beginning
- 53:13Speaker 1: of COVID, when all the schools got shut down in March,
- 53:17Speaker 1: within like a month, our oldest started showing signs of anxiety.
- 53:23Speaker 1: And we always knew he was a he was a
- 53:26Speaker 1: kid that internalized things. You know, if there was a
- 53:28Speaker 1: hurricane on the news, we had to talk about hurricanes
- 53:31Speaker 1: for like a week and where they were and all
- 53:33Speaker 1: that stuff. And he developed ticks from just stress and anxiety,
- 53:41Speaker 1: and it freaked us out. Because we were in a
- 53:43Speaker 1: complete lockdown and we thought, you know, gosh, we need
- 53:46Speaker 1: a neurologist, we need all these things. And it turns
- 53:49Speaker 1: out it was just stress and anxiety. And these little kids,
- 53:52Speaker 1: if they don't have the support, like what you were saying,
- 53:56Speaker 1: just the relationship alone, you know, and the outlet to
- 54:00Speaker 1: get it all out, it just builds and builds and
- 54:03Speaker 1: finds its way out any way. It can also that
- 54:07Speaker 1: running these kids is so important also, like exercise, exercise,
- 54:13Speaker 1: you know, putting them you know, when we were kids,
- 54:16Speaker 1: we ran until we couldn't run anymore. And kids aren't
- 54:19Speaker 1: doing that right now because they're stuck inside and or
- 54:22Speaker 1: or you know, there's only a little bit of time
- 54:25Speaker 1: that they are able to spend outside, like an hour
- 54:28Speaker 1: an hour and a half. And that's not enough for
- 54:30Speaker 1: any you know, that's enough for us because we're adults
- 54:33Speaker 1: and that's what we put in as you know, as
- 54:36Speaker 1: we get older. But for kids, you need way more
- 54:38Speaker 1: than that. I remember running until the lights went out,
- 54:40Speaker 1: the street lights, you know what I mean, until the
- 54:42Speaker 1: street lights came on, or you know what I mean.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I remember, you know, playing for ever and ever and
- 54:49Speaker 1: ever and jumping forever and ever and ever, and that
- 54:52Speaker 1: definitely relaxes your mind and eases your mind. And kids
- 54:56Speaker 1: don't have that right now. That's very unfortunate stuff to
- 55:00Speaker 1: parents who are sorry, I'm who I can't I don't
- 55:03Speaker 1: have a headphones on, should have UM. Still, what do
- 55:06Speaker 1: you say to parents who say they want to seek
- 55:08Speaker 1: out some counseling, UM, they might be worried about the
- 55:11Speaker 1: cost of it, that kind of thing. Can you can
- 55:14Speaker 1: you give our listeners some tips as to like how
- 55:17Speaker 1: they might seek out help if they're worried about there,
- 55:20Speaker 1: if they like to find some help for their child.
- 55:25Speaker 1: We have a few of the apps. We've advertised them here.
- 55:27Speaker 1: We advertised better Help, which I always helped people and
- 55:31Speaker 1: Joell I forgot the name of the other one, but
- 55:33Speaker 1: Space Talk Space. I don't know if they do children
- 55:37Speaker 1: or not UM. And I also don't know if if
- 55:40Speaker 1: that's affordable for for for a lot of people. So
- 55:42Speaker 1: do you have any advice on that's It's a fantastic point.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I was actually thinking about that because I don't want
- 55:48Speaker 1: to say, oh, get therapy to everyone, because I know
- 55:50Speaker 1: we're expensive. So some of the mindfulness apps that can
- 55:54Speaker 1: keep the parents calm, like That was as I was
- 55:57Speaker 1: talking about before. If parents can keep themselves calm kind
- 56:00Speaker 1: of regulated, that then helps their kids. Um. So some
- 56:03Speaker 1: of the mindfulness apps that i've I've used Calm Stop Frethink.
- 56:09Speaker 1: It's been renamed Headspace. Mind Shift is another one. Um.
- 56:15Speaker 1: What I typically say is that because they have all
- 56:18Speaker 1: different voices, and some people like some voices and don't
- 56:20Speaker 1: like others, I say, do the free trials and try
- 56:23Speaker 1: the ones to see what you like, and if you
- 56:26Speaker 1: can't afford to pay for that, then check out on
- 56:28Speaker 1: the YouTube. YouTube's got a lot of like progressive muscle
- 56:32Speaker 1: relaxations or deep breathing, and they'll run through you know,
- 56:37Speaker 1: all of those things. You might get stuck with the
- 56:39Speaker 1: same ones over and over again, but progressive muscle relaxation
- 56:42Speaker 1: is a great place to start because it's very physical.
- 56:45Speaker 1: It's very easy for people to do. Um, and it's
- 56:48Speaker 1: amazing how much tension we hold in our bodies. Hey,
- 56:51Speaker 1: none of this has anything to do with staring into
- 56:55Speaker 1: a monitor or anything like that. It's all listening stuff, right.
- 56:59Speaker 1: Uh yeah, So all of the apps I'm talking about
- 57:01Speaker 1: are all like listening. Um. I mean the YouTube, you
- 57:05Speaker 1: could put it on a kind of close your phone
- 57:06Speaker 1: and just listen to it. Um, it wouldn't be watching anything.
- 57:10Speaker 1: I mean, there's also just basic things that we could
- 57:13Speaker 1: be taking care of. You guys. Mentioned exercise is a
- 57:15Speaker 1: big one. I actually have a colleague of mine that's
- 57:17Speaker 1: looking at that in our survey. UM, exercising with your kids,
- 57:21Speaker 1: get out of our family, family hikes, family walks, UM,
- 57:24Speaker 1: play games together. Then we're building the relationship and we're exercising. UM.
- 57:31Speaker 1: And then maybe during one of those walks you could say,
- 57:33Speaker 1: I mean, you know, you know again, I'm just making
- 57:39Speaker 1: this up. You're the doctor, but I would I would
- 57:40Speaker 1: think you could say something like, you know, if there's
- 57:43Speaker 1: anything going on with you, I want you to know
- 57:45Speaker 1: you can always talk to me. And if you're if
- 57:47Speaker 1: you're if I'm noticing you're a little down, or if
- 57:49Speaker 1: you know, I don't want you to ever withhold anything
- 57:51Speaker 1: for me, even if you think of I would be upset,
- 57:53Speaker 1: I won't be upset. I mean, just to get your
- 57:55Speaker 1: kid talking to you, right, so they're not holding holding anything.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Uh yeah, And I think modeling too, being like, yeah,
- 58:03Speaker 1: I get it, I'm anxious too, like, but we can
- 58:05Speaker 1: do this. We can do this together. So it's like
- 58:07Speaker 1: acknowledging that we're stressed out, we're all stressed out by this,
- 58:11Speaker 1: but then also kind of empowering and being like yeah,
- 58:14Speaker 1: especially with the stress when you were talking C. C.
- 58:22Speaker 1: Call Um, So when you're talking about the anxiety messaging
- 58:28Speaker 1: to your kids, things like, yeah, of course you're of
- 58:31Speaker 1: course you're anxious. Of course you'd be concerned about the
- 58:34Speaker 1: hurricanes or um. But you know we're safe here and
- 58:38Speaker 1: I've got you and you can do this. You're strong.
- 58:41Speaker 1: My mom would say to me something that I always
- 58:43Speaker 1: thought of when I was a kid. She'd go, if
- 58:45Speaker 1: you weren't worried about that, there'd be something wrong with you,
- 58:48Speaker 1: you know. And I always I always really like that,
- 58:50Speaker 1: like if I was stressed, it's yeah, you know my
- 58:53Speaker 1: mom my mom My mom's a child psychologists as well,
- 58:55Speaker 1: but she m she would say that, she'd go, I
- 58:58Speaker 1: go out, you know, I'm worried about this, and she go, honey,
- 59:01Speaker 1: if you weren't, I get it, I hear you. If
- 59:03Speaker 1: you weren't worried about that, I think there was something
- 59:05Speaker 1: wrong with you. That's really stressful. You know that that
- 59:08Speaker 1: level of empathy was really always made me feel good. Yeah,
- 59:11Speaker 1: and also journaling. I got into journaling as a as
- 59:13Speaker 1: a kid. If if you, if you can convince your
- 59:15Speaker 1: kid to write down the things they're worried about. And
- 59:19Speaker 1: you know, I know this would be hard to get
- 59:20Speaker 1: some some kids to do this, but maybe you have
- 59:22Speaker 1: a kid that that's open to it, to journal, to sketch,
- 59:25Speaker 1: to draw, to sort of brain drain out there. We
- 59:28Speaker 1: used to call it a brain drain in college writing exercise,
- 59:31Speaker 1: but like brain drain out whatever's on your mind, your feelings,
- 59:34Speaker 1: your anxieties, your worries, and that I think for me
- 59:38Speaker 1: that was a good exercise. Yeah. And help them connect
- 59:40Speaker 1: to friends on the phone, on internet, whatever you can do,
- 59:44Speaker 1: help them connect, because it's our relationships or what's going
- 59:47Speaker 1: to get us through this. It's true. And back to
- 59:50Speaker 1: what you were saying about the parents, you know, the
- 59:52Speaker 1: energy we give off because at the beginning when all
- 59:55Speaker 1: this went down, and these guys on here can can
- 59:59Speaker 1: confirm that dam Old was paranoid, rightfully so, but to
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: the point where we couldn't go out the house. We couldn't,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: we couldn't get in the car, we couldn't, we couldn't
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: do anything. And I kept telling him I was like,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you have to calm down in front of these kids
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: because they're looking to you for reassurance. That Donald's the
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: one running around me like hurricanes, Yeah, we hadn't. You
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: don't need to worry about no hurricane. Hurricanes and the
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: last thing you need to worry about that colvidn get us.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Well we had. We had also the earthquake, you know.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: I said, oh wow, guys, how cool was that? Did
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: you feel it? That's the woman glock Donald okay running.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: He was like, get in the doors. What are you doing.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Casey's like the parent like when the kid falls and
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: you're supposed to be like yay instead of like scream
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: and then Donald's like, no, I god, you fell. So
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: I agreed, calm down, everybody. I'm horrible when it comes
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: to I'm horrible when it comes to he's a flight.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I'm not a flight. I'm the fight. Um, I feel Stephanie,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: it would be real irresponsible. Um if we didn't for
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: a second time, there's no way we could fix her life. Man. No,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: we're not gonna fix else. No, no, no, this is
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: the first episode where you fixed our lives. Ye came
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: up for the free advice. Man. She fixed, Casey, Casey
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: and donand are like trying to get in on our
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: free therapy here. That's for our listeners. I feel like
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: we should mention a suicide hotline for people that are
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: in the most extreme of situations. Um, is it is
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: there one that you is there only one? Is there
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: one that you recommend? Doctor? So we can make sure
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: we at least provide the number to people. Yeah, so
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I don't have one number because I actually thought about this.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Doesn't have a website up because I was like, well,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I should have one for the US and for Canada
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and for and there's a whole bunch I actually found.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: If you look on Wikipedia, they have a list of
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: crisis suicide lines and it gives you a line for
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: every almost every country or yeah, okay, yeah, that's true
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: because we have we have of listeners all around the world,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and we listen. We care about you, and we know
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: how hard it is. And but God forbid, you are
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: far enough along where this has even crossed your mind.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: We want to make sure that you call someone because
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: there's people who've dedicated their lives to helping you. The
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: National Prevention Suicide Prevention Line. It looks like that we
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: have here in the United States is one eight hundred
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: two seven three talk. That's one one hundred two seventy
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: three eight two five five. But as Stephanie said, you
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: might be in a different country and you might be
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: listening to this anywhere. Apparently you can find all that
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: by looking it up on Wikipedia or I'm sure googling it.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: For kids in Canada, kids Help Phone dot c A
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: is a great resource. So you said out slower one
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: more time. Kids Help Phone dot CA in Canada is
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: a really great resource for kids. I couldn't find one
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: that was similar in the US. I'm sure there is
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: another one. Well, I'm sure if you're a concerned parent
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: and this is uh something you want to look into,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: a little googling, well, I'm sure help you. And I'm
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: sure we can always put something up in the uh yeah,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Joel will put a link up in the show notes. So, um,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: this episode is a little more serious on both the
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: front and the back end, just because, let's be honest,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: we're trying to make you laugh, but sometimes we we
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: have to admit that we're a little down ourselves. Um,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: it's a hard time, and I think I think in
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: the spirit of empathy, it's really great and powerful to
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: let everyone know that, Hey, I'm I'm with you, I'm
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: feeling it. I'm where we feel it too. Shout out
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: to Joe Well for h for feeling the vibe. Uh,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: because absolutely, you know, coming into this, I was definitely
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: you know, and I feel like for me it worked
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: today because I definitely needed a distraction from what's going on,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: and this took took me away wonderfully. And I tried
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: to bring my wife in on it, you know, so
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: she could you know, talk about things also, like this
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: was a great episode. It was like a warm bath. Yeah,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: it was wonderful. I felt like I was in a
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: warm bath with all of you listeners. I hope everybody
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: else feels that way too. You know, it's not I'm
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: sure someone's going to be like this is supposed to
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: be funny, right, I'm sure you know. Well, don't add
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: me with that, Please don't send that at me. Um. Wait,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: we have some good news though, to end on a smile.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Guess what, Stephanie, Because you're not only a helpful PhD
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: and helping children, not only are are you our spin buddy,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: but we are going to give you the main prize
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: you can get on this show a big ass palette
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: of GT's kombucha. Who applause? Do you like much? We
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: hope you like. I've never tried it. Oh, well you're
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: about to be trying a lot of it. Well you're
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: gonna about to try a lot of it. Hopefully it
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: makes it over the border. Joel does know how to
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: get gets kombucha intogether amazing. They will love it. We
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: love gets kombucha. It's delicious. I'm drinking this one right now,

- 1:06:27Speaker 1: if Zack's not white, don't worry. I'm just nervous after
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: all this black face controversy, that the onesie arrives and
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: it looks like I'm wearing black face. But then I'm
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: worried that people will be like, man, they're trying to
