- 1:14SPEAKER_02: You know, I don't do too much.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: So I didn't do too much.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: All I did was go to uh Shawl Falls, and that's in Dallas, and then um we went to the the animal shelter.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: Okay, and you almost came home with the kitten.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: And y'all tell me if I like the cat?
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: I don't.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: I really don't.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: But you was gonna bring that kitty home today.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: I was gonna bring it, and then I was just like, no, let's pause on it.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: Let's pause.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: Because he was excited though.
- 1:49SPEAKER_02: I mean Carmen was like, Oh my god, oh my gosh, I get to have a cat.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: The cat can sleep in my room.
- 1:55SPEAKER_02: And then he was like, I don't even want to see the cat.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: Like, if you get the cat, the cat stayed your room, but the cat ain't coming out.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: But you know the crazy part is a lot of times they'll be like, What's not gonna happen and what they not gonna do?
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: And then they end up doing that.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: Literally, because he literally was like, get kicked.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: So I literally came back to the car, like, I wish I could have had a cat.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:30SPEAKER_02: Like, because I already guilt trick him, guilt trip him because I wanted a dog.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: I got a dog, but the dog is a the dog is a cat, she's a cat in her body, like in her mind, correct, she's a cat.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: She's not a dog, she doesn't do all that barking, sits relax, she sleeps, yeah.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: I don't want to eat dog food.
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: That's how much she feels like she's not a dog, yeah.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: Very demo.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, that's her.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: Very demure.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: I'm in my own space.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: Period.
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: Don't worry about me.
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: Don't say my name too much.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: Get away today.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: But she still has our moments where she's zooming.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she does.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: And I'll be excited too.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: I be ready.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: I be wanting her to do it.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: But is looking right now, butter.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: You want to say hi?
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Come here, butter.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: Oh no, hold on.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: Come here, buddy.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: Come here.
- 3:29SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna show everybody butter.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: Girl, come on.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: Oh god.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: This is butter.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: This is butter! But three years old.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: Say hi, buddy.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: And in human years, she's 28.
- 3:44unknown: Hi, but say hi.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: She's a shih tzu.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: And if y'all ask me, like, what can she do next with?
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: The people at the shelter said she's just a shihzu.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: Hi, buddy.
- 3:57SPEAKER_02: If she had a voice, I would think her voice is kind of like, What's up, baby?
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: What's up?
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: My name's Black.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: That's what it is.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: She really tried to say that my dog smelled like she smoked five cigarettes.
- 4:21SPEAKER_02: That's the energy but again.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she really does.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: She really, really does.
- 4:25SPEAKER_02: She really does.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 4:27SPEAKER_02: And what did how was your day today?
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: It was long.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: Um, listen, don't judge me.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: Authenticity.
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: Is that yeah?
- 4:37SPEAKER_02: Okay, cool.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: So um I look a little bit like I look uh because I was outside all day.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: I smell like outdoors.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: It's giving base.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: It's really that I have to wash off.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: I feel like I was in the sun all day long, but my son had a football game and they won.
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: Sun got a touchdown today.
- 5:03SPEAKER_02: That was a really good thing.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: Um, the boys really fought hard.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: It was outside most of the day.
- 5:09SPEAKER_02: But here's another thing I don't understand.
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: His game is at 12.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: But I have to be there two hours early.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 5:17SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 5:18SPEAKER_02: We had to be there at 10.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: Two hours early?
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: We have to be there at 10.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: 10 o'clock.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: Every time they have a game, they have to be there either two hours or an hour and a half before the game.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: Because they're going on all their plays, they're making sure that their helmets are fitting good, their gear is fitting good.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: So it's just sitting around and waiting, or being that mom that has to go and get this.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: And then I forgot to get in his asthma pumps.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: So, right before the game, I had to rush all the way to the house, grab his stuff, rush back.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: While he was playing, he took a break from off the field, did his asthma pomps, and went back out and played.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and they play four quarters, even though they're young, they still do four quarters.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: So he did a full four quarters, and but they won.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: So that was my highlight.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: Man, sports take care, take over your life.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: Let them kids want to play sports.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: That's all.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: That's what you're doing.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: But no, no, no, that's it.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: Spend time with the parents.
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: Um spend time with the parents.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: They brought me a TV.
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: God bless you.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: Real good.
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: Um, and that's it.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: And now we're here.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: And it's what we're saying, literally.
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: So don't judge me.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: I will be done up.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: But my friend looks so beautiful.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: Look at her.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: I'm giving the street wear apparel.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: Oh, and y'all, she loves crafting and she did her own hat and it's dead.
- 6:51SPEAKER_02: I tell her, I want one.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: I will, if I can be jewel everything, you know, like those people that like put jewels on everything, I will do that because I feel like what's the sense?
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: Let's just be different, you know.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: Like, if I want to wear pink and red jewels on my socks and I have a pink outfit on.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: That's the vibes for the dirt.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: That's just me.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: You know, I just feel like you do whatever you want to do.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: Like, literally, my husband said, what else are you doing?
- 7:24SPEAKER_02: You guys, this week, I put sheet of paint print on my computer.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: Yes, you did.
- 7:31SPEAKER_02: Did my well, I didn't finish my pocketbook, but I am working on it.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, if anybody else gives me something, I'm going to try to do it in every way possible.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: Okay, so interesting facts.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: I'm about to um what style, I guess what you want to say, style era.
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: What is your best era that you love?
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: Like you love a certain style.
- 7:50SPEAKER_02: What's that?
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: I love.
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: But would you consider like like those bango earrings?
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: Is that 80s or 90s?
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: See, I think it's more 80s, right?
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: Because more of like when our parents grew up with the kind of like salt and pepper.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: Came out in the 80s.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: Is that 80s?
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: That is.
- 8:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're gonna go with the 80s.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: It's giving 80s with the 90s flair.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that is that is my go to.
- 8:23SPEAKER_02: I love everything about it.
- 8:26SPEAKER_02: I can dress in that every single day.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: Scrunchy socks.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: I'm wearing scrunchy socks every day.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: I don't have to be honest with you, I do buy regular socks.
- 8:37SPEAKER_02: It's a sound, right?
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: Everything I think is cute.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: I love it now.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Everything is like a little.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: I used to get picked on y'all about that, and then I'd be like, baroo.
- 8:49SPEAKER_02: I hate everybody.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: All of my friends would be like, but you know how like people would try to say it in a nice way, like, oh, okay.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: I like where you're going with that.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: We can talk off camera because I don't care.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: And I'd be like, Yeah, I love it.
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: Because the vibes will always be.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: Who is on your body?
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Period.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: I mean, and I feel like different strokes for different folks, right?
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: Because everybody literally has their own style.
- 9:17SPEAKER_02: Literally, they have their own style, and there's nothing wrong with that.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: I think it's huge.
- 9:22SPEAKER_02: They're gonna love me a good scrunchie size.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: You understand me?
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: I I'm all over the place.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: I like scrunchy size, I like to look simple, I like athletic wear, I like dressing gut at one point.
- 9:35SPEAKER_02: I love heels, but my foot, ever since I broke my foot, it's been doing its own thing.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: But I love all styles.
- 9:42SPEAKER_02: I can I can say that Brittany probably has five in a million tights.
- 9:51SPEAKER_02: Like five in a million.
- 9:55SPEAKER_02: They're not number tight.
- 9:57SPEAKER_02: Uh listen, love it.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: Sis gonna have a tight on.
- 10:01SPEAKER_02: She go she is going to have a tight side.
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: Because I it's all the running around.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: I be feeling like I'm cleaning, I'm working, um, dropping the kids off, taking them places, and I've I want to be comfortable.
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 10:18SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: I want to be comfortable, and then when I do put on jeans for the day, after I'm done doing what I'm doing, dilly dally, I'm going to the house.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: I'm finna make she is.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: She's my size at black ones, gray ones.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: Oh, and then I'm gonna put the sock on, so I'm gonna put a sock over it.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: So that's in the show, yeah.
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: Literally, she is I love to be comfortable.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: She is me denim me down all day.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: I can wear denim all day.
- 10:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I feel like it's just so much comfort and the nice good denim jeans.
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: The one thing about me is even though okay, I I know okay, let me go say, okay, so I shock thrifty, right?
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: Okay, but people get that confused with getting any type of material.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: Meaning, like, if I went to Rainbow for the ones that love rainbow, I that is your thing.
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: Disclaimer, whatever you think.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: Me, okay, I couldn't buy jeans from Rainbow because I'm only getting two or three wears.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: Um, out of like the material doesn't last.
- 11:38SPEAKER_02: Correct.
- 11:38SPEAKER_02: So that's why I thrift like a good Levi.
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: A good Levi.
- 11:44SPEAKER_02: That's adorable jeans, a good um Miss Thandom Boulevard, whatever her name is, from back in the day, baby, baby Levi won't last.
- 11:55SPEAKER_02: Baby Levi, them Levi's came from a good favorite channel.
- 11:59SPEAKER_02: You ask me, baby Grandma is eight years old, and she just dropped bags of Levi's at nice.
- 12:09SPEAKER_02: A nice feeling.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: A good work with jeans.
- 12:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love it.
- 12:13SPEAKER_02: And that is why I'm going to love getting my jeans from the books.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: You know who actually has really good jeans too?
- 12:20SPEAKER_02: Who?
- 12:20SPEAKER_02: JC Penny.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: Y'all been sleeping with JC Penny.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: I know, I know, I know.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: You probably said, I lay she, oh she is.
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: What's the other one?
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: They like, uh, fashion all I fashionola.
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: First of all, you're only getting three wares.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: Come there, similar ounces, JC Penny.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: And don't if you go to the sales rack, you get$15 for a good jean.
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: You know, they have um a good place.
- 12:53SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you ever, well, there might be some places, but if y'all are ever in Orleans though, there is a Dillard's outlet.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: Listen, baby Dillard's gonna do it every time.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: Dillard's outlet.
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Dilly's gonna do it every time.
- 13:10SPEAKER_02: I I got so many shoes for like 10, 12, just because Simpson.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: Like all the out-of-season stuff, they put them at the Dillard's outlet.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: Y'all should go there.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: If you've never been, they try it out.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: Try it out.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: Some a lot of people, a lot of people don't really shop out in stores like they used to.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: Everything's mainly online.
- 13:34SPEAKER_02: Everything Amazon.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: Okay, I'll just Amazon it.
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like but my issue with Amazon, if you purchase on Amazon, especially if it's closed, you don't know what type of material you're gonna get.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: You know, at all.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: And now now, like if you look for something specific and try to Google it to see where you can buy something nearby, the first thing pop up is Shein.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and Shein, I ain't gonna lie, they do got some good stuff, y'all.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: I do buy a lot of stuff for I haven't ordered anything yet from Shein.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: And you told me about it, especially for the kids.
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: And she still hasn't gotten nothing.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: I haven't tried all of my son's clothes, fur back to school, all from Shein.
- 14:11SPEAKER_02: And he loves all of them, yeah.
- 14:13SPEAKER_02: And I love that they have like the Jesus t-shirts, yeah, you know.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: I love a good Shein, honey.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna try it.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: You got to, but the when you look at my phone, the cart is full.
- 14:24SPEAKER_02: I literally got just because of press.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: That's cute too.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: I like that too.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: I just haven't purchased, and then you look at it sold up, total be like$345.
- 14:35SPEAKER_02: I play I like the per seven.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: Let me go ahead and fix some out my basket.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: Let me think some out my basket.
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: I'll do clean, I'll do plenty.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, oh my gosh, I love it, man.
- 14:51SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I'm thinking let's give them a little share of our friendship.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: So, oh man.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: Um it was high school, the beginning of high school.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: It was middle school.
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: It was middle school, the ending of middle school, ending of middle school, the ending of middle school.
- 15:14SPEAKER_02: So we both went to um, I don't know how bad you decided going to the church, but I was going to the church ever since I was.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: We know you've been there since Kingdom Company.
- 15:25SPEAKER_02: Listen, and I was saved since I was a child, and you get telling them a net, honey, because honey, my daughters is gonna be saved and sanctified.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: No matter what they do at them doors, they get in the house.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: They got some break.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: Okay, so okay, so I was already going to the church, uh, apostolic church, uh, apostolic worship center.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: Worship center, but then they went as the worship center.
- 15:56SPEAKER_02: The worship center.
- 15:58SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, they wanted to be inclusive, they didn't want to just stick to just stick to apostolic people.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: They wanted to have more of a congregation, you know.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: Um, so we met at the ending of middle school.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: Renny, I already had my click.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: You know, at this point of the podcast, a few names were mentioned, but for legal, emotional, and petty reasons, it has been removed.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: Enjoy the podcast.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: Everybody, even though they say they don't have cliques in church, they do.
- 16:33SPEAKER_02: Maybe click up.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: They do.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: So my click in church was I know the main person for me was this was the main person for me.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: And what did you say?
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: Yes, but by way of yes, not by me.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: I always get that clear, okay?
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: So you know, sometimes they work like that.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Friends, like you you gotta hang on.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: It's just like I gotta hang on her too then.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: You gotta have an assurance, so it was us, and then I think you joined the step?
- 17:21SPEAKER_02: No, okay, she was more later.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: Okay, I got you, I got you.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: She came later.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: Okay, I gotcha.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but how we got together was what you wanted to join see, we singing, and I think I wanted to join the step team too.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: I wanted to think, but I wasn't singing, wasn't my ministry, so I wasn't talking to her in the sick.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: Like, she is an amazing singer, like her and her mom, they did the praise team, everything.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: Like, they did singing.
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: We got close, we got close.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: Sorry, yeah.
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: We got close because of the step team.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: Yes, yeah, the step team.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: That's why we wanted to be on the step team.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but we did everything.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: The church had everything for us to do, literally.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: Dance step, what else?
- 18:13SPEAKER_02: Dance step, uh singing.
- 18:16SPEAKER_02: They had a big youth group, yeah.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: So they always took us everywhere.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: Everywhere.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: Like everywhere.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: You was not gonna be bored, yeah.
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: Because a lot of times we was at the church several days a week.
- 18:29SPEAKER_02: We had um almost like all night shut-ins, yeah, everything, everything.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: And that's when we once she started joining.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: To be honest, because we live for me, I don't know how we just automatically gravitated to one another, being like, but I don't know.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: Knowing my personality, I was probably the one to like be like, okay, so what's your name?
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: That is my personality.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: Um, and then I kind of then um, you know, I'm not gonna lie, I kind of shooed away from like my other friends.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: And then I was like, oh, I like hanging out with her, she's so cool.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: And we was I was going up on her house, and and that's the funny part.
- 19:19SPEAKER_02: When we were saying we were gonna talk about our friendship, I literally was taking time and I didn't even tell him.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: I was like, to be honest with you, I can't even really remember when we started talking.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: I remember the age we were, but when we started hanging with each other, that was it.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: I literally, it was like her house was my house, my house was her house.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: There every weekend, throughout the week, especially when she got that car.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: You couldn't tell us nothing.
- 19:48SPEAKER_02: We were in this.
- 19:52SPEAKER_02: I called her.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: I was like, I will be over your house in 15 minutes, baby! City Wall, we would be at City Wall, we'd be everywhere.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: We was everywhere we're gonna find a new party, we're gonna find us something to eat.
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we was all over the place.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: But we was we were so who was added to our clique?
- 20:10SPEAKER_02: Um, she didn't say who was added to our clique was Cassie.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: So it was all three of us.
- 20:16SPEAKER_02: Three of me goes.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, all three of us, everything, yeah.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: And I think just like with friendships, you know, even outside of us, you still have your other friends that you uh try to hang with.
- 20:28SPEAKER_02: And I think at times we would try to mesh everybody with everybody, but everybody's like, no, because no, because that's actually my friend.
- 20:40SPEAKER_02: That's not really your friend, yeah.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: So, you know, and it really, and I think it really had us like looking back, it really had me thinking like, wow, like, mmm, I think our friendship, because somebody, I think it was Benny.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: Benny asked me this question.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: He was like, so why do you think your friendship like you can't last so long, last so long?
- 21:09SPEAKER_02: If you know you had another movement to like, you know, go their separate ways, and like why do you um I couldn't even answer him?
- 21:19SPEAKER_02: I was just like, I don't know.
- 21:22SPEAKER_02: I think first the big thing is you whoever you're friends with, I feel like have to have a sense of maturity in communication.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: Correct.
- 21:37SPEAKER_02: If you don't have a sense of maturity in communication, it's like I know you're upset about this, but then you have talked to five million other people about what you're upset about, and you haven't even came to me and said, you know what?
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: Right, right.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: I feel like our friendship is at a standstill, and you gotta tell me.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Like, and I feel like even though she's not here, I feel like that if somebody ever asks us that, or like y'all heard her name, like, what about that person?
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: It's just like, I just feel like I don't even feel like it's an outgrowth.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: Because I just feel like you have to have a sense of communication of maturity.
- 22:23SPEAKER_02: Like, okay, I know y'all are all doing y'all's thing, but where do I fit at in it?
- 22:29SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: It's okay to be vulnerable, I feel like, in a friendship.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: It's okay for you to sometimes be that person and be like, y'all, like, I really need y'all right now.
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: Like, I feel like it's okay to say that.
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: And um, for me, and y'all and I think for me, I am very big at being like, so what are you doing?
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: Like, like, I mean, or like I was thinking, I am very big at saying that.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: Because I mean, I want you to always remember there, no matter how many people come through my life, like you're still in my life.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: Correct.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: I don't think people understand that.
- 23:22SPEAKER_02: Just because the older you get, and when it comes to friendship, if even if we were friends in 1999, and where I just feel like I want you to still know in your head you can always pick up the phone and call.
- 23:37SPEAKER_02: And call, yeah, yeah.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: And I will always answer, and my energy will still be the same.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: Hi girl, how you doing?
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: What are you doing?
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: It wouldn't be like, oh, hey, what's up?
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: And I think that's also like you were saying, it's really about maturity and communication.
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: Because at the end of the day, I think what I realize is even for me, I think my issue on my lane is when I get caught up in my everyday life, it has nothing to do with how much I love you or how much I don't care.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: But it's still, I have to learn that I have to be more cognizant, right?
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: Like, even if I may have stuff going on, you still gotta make time for the people around you that you love.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Um, but my main thing was it don't matter what I got going on, baby, I may not talk to you every day, but you gotta know you my blue.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: And we always gonna ride.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: And I'm always gonna be here.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: But like you said, that's about communication.
- 24:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:34SPEAKER_02: Um, and I think sometimes people are just looking for, I hate to say it, sometimes it can feel like a one-way street.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 24:42SPEAKER_02: Some people may feel like, well, you ain't been calling me.
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: You ain't texting me.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: Well, baby, girl, you don't necessarily know what's going on in that other person's life either.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: So won't you be the one to stand up and be like, hey, like you said, yeah, hey, how you doing?
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: I miss you.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: What's going on?
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: We're not talking, what's up?
- 24:59SPEAKER_02: I need you.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: Then it can make my mind be like, okay, let me stop what I'm doing.
- 25:03SPEAKER_02: Because anytime you call me, I'm coming.
- 25:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:05SPEAKER_02: I'm always gonna stop what I'm doing to be there.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: But communication is a big thing.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: That's what makes, and I think for us, that's what makes friendships last.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: Because we had a period of time, you in Florida, I'm in Georgia, we did not talk every day.
- 25:19SPEAKER_02: It has been times where it has been months.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: And it may be a text like, hey, how you doing?
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: I'm doing good.
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: How you doing, girl?
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: I miss you, girl, I miss you too, girl.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: And there's still that time spent, but when we back together, it's like correct.
- 25:36SPEAKER_02: And you never left.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: And one thing that we're learning now, so even though we've been friends from middle school all the way to now, but one thing that we did talk about, um, and an instance of us learning each other now.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: That's why it's saying not us again.
- 25:57SPEAKER_02: Because it's like it's always been us.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:00SPEAKER_02: But where I'm literally learning her as Britney, the wife, the adult in her 30s.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: She's doing it.
- 26:09SPEAKER_02: She got two kids.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm learning all of that.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: She's not that same Britney.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: That like I I have to now go ahead and be like, okay, this is how she likes things.
- 26:20SPEAKER_02: Okay, this is like now I'm taking notes of everything because we were in two different states.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: We never, you know, hung around as adults.
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: Actually, we are speechy if we I think about it.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Like, because every time I would come and visit, I'm real.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: It wasn't what short turnarounds.
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: So this really is like, this is really going to be two friendships talking to you guys.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: And it's a it's a beautiful ride though.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: Literally.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: Because you get to see, like, I love the fact that our energy is still the same.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:03SPEAKER_02: Now, when I think my parents have always said, all y'all do is all y'all do is laughing, laughing giggle.
- 27:10SPEAKER_02: So that portion is still there.
- 27:12SPEAKER_02: But like you said, it's the maturity.
- 27:13SPEAKER_02: Like, girl, we got responsibilities.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: The conversations look totally different.
- 27:17SPEAKER_02: Very.
- 27:18SPEAKER_02: We are not them single women anymore.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: Huh?
- 27:21SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 27:21SPEAKER_02: We are married, and and she's married with six.
- 27:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 27:25SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 27:25SPEAKER_02: She's married with six.
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: I'm married with two winner bonus.
- 27:29SPEAKER_02: So three, it's a lot.
- 27:31SPEAKER_02: And you know, it's different flows within our lives.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: So yeah, it is very interesting.
- 27:38SPEAKER_02: So y'all gonna hear all of it.
- 27:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 27:40SPEAKER_02: Different topics, man.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: That we can discuss.
- 27:43SPEAKER_02: Very a lot.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: Even things that we hear from like our kids and that shows up because with me, um, it's like with me coming from a single mom of one to now my five bonus, whose ages vary, to where I have teenagers and then little ones, I have never experienced, you know, yeah, a teenager.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: You know, especially a teenage girl who's just crazy, you just shake it and be like, yeah.
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: There's no training for it.
- 28:25SPEAKER_02: It's like literally zero.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: I told you my life was different, okay?
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: When I got married, I came in with just one baby, one child.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: When you came into the marriage, you came in with five.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: That's that's a huge jump from coming to one to six children, and that's a lot.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's a beautiful ride though.
- 28:48SPEAKER_02: It is, it is, and everybody always be like, even my family, they'll be like, Yeah, wow.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: Okay, T, you, you, you, and I, and I feel like always, I always tell people this when they talk about the kids.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: I always say it was never nothing that I just was like, oh gosh.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: It was something that I was very happy about.
- 29:18SPEAKER_02: Because if you really know me, you know that first of all, I love kids.
- 29:24SPEAKER_02: Even when I was a teenager, I was taking other people's kids from the church to like babysit them just for no reason.
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: Like, Sister Jennifer, I'm I felt like her baby was my baby.
- 29:35SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm taking everybody's kids, and I told the Laura once I gotten older that whoever I marry, I didn't want like me birthing kids.
- 29:48SPEAKER_02: Whoever I marry, I hope that they have their own kids, that they don't expect me to have more.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: Um, but they have enough to where I be like, oh my god, like I have a big family.
- 30:00SPEAKER_02: I always wanted a big family, and I guess the Lord just said, I got you.
- 30:07SPEAKER_02: Don't worry about it.
- 30:09SPEAKER_02: I got you.
- 30:10SPEAKER_02: I'm Quinty, honey.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: Quancy.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: And you know that's so interesting.
- 30:15SPEAKER_02: I wonder, because I'm not gonna lie to you, even hearing you make that statement, and I know you said it before in our conversations, it's kind of like you don't really hear a whole lot of women saying that.
- 30:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: Or people in general, whether that's a man or a woman, you don't really hear like I really do hope that the person I get recognized.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: A lot of kids.
- 30:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: Um, because a lot of times they're like, uh, maybe one, maybe two, two.
- 30:44SPEAKER_02: Okay, because that was me.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: What is that?
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: And I was that way, y'all.
- 30:53SPEAKER_02: I was that way in my 20s.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: I was that way.
- 30:56SPEAKER_02: Did one of you that way?
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: Mm-mm.
- 30:59SPEAKER_02: And then the older I got, it was just me just running away from just like I knew, but the thing is, I feel like you have to know yourself.
- 31:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:09SPEAKER_02: If I would have met my husband in my 20s, it probably wouldn't have worked.
- 31:15SPEAKER_02: It would have been a no-go.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: I would have been very honest, very brutal, just being like, like, I ain't doing anything.
- 31:22SPEAKER_02: Like, we could go down.
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, it would have just been so direct.
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: I was so like, I was cutting with my words.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: So I know I wouldn't be able to handle.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: That's why I feel like sometimes, that's why when we start talking about relationships, I feel like sometimes you have to know what you really want.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: You have to know what you want.
- 31:46SPEAKER_02: And I feel like in your 20s, and like I tell my teenage daughter, I'm like, just live your life.
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: Listen, I was everywhere.
- 31:58SPEAKER_02: Las Vegas, Chicago.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: Like you, my mom always had to call me like, T, where you at?
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: So they had like a sale on a New York flight, and I just went, and I usually always traveled by myself.
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: So once I settled down, it's like, okay, I done did everything.
- 32:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay, now I'm ready.
- 32:18SPEAKER_02: You have to know, don't, don't just live it.
- 32:23SPEAKER_02: That is a huge thing.
- 32:25SPEAKER_02: And to be honest, here's a little bit of honesty.
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: Not that I don't love my wife.
- 32:29SPEAKER_02: Let me just be very clear.
- 32:30SPEAKER_02: I love my husband, I love my children.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: Thankful for it.
- 32:33SPEAKER_02: We're going on 11 years.
- 32:35SPEAKER_02: It's a beautiful ride.
- 32:36SPEAKER_02: However, calm up.
- 32:38SPEAKER_02: That is something I did.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: I was having a vulnerable conversation with one of my other friends.
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: And I was like, yeah, I think that's something that I wish I would have done.
- 32:46SPEAKER_02: And she's not married yet.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: Um, in her 30s.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: And my thing is for her, baby, live your life.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: You don't have any obligations, you don't have anything holding you down.
- 32:55SPEAKER_02: You can just go.
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: You can experience so much travel.
- 33:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 33:00SPEAKER_02: Even if your current friends around you, and it's kind of hard when you are single and you may have everybody around you that have kids and responsibilities, they can't just get up and move like how you can.
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: Find the people you can travel with, people that you can trust.
- 33:15SPEAKER_02: Vet these people out because people are crazy these days.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: But find travel groups, people that you can go with, or do some stuff on your own, new experiences.
- 33:25SPEAKER_02: And that's something for me that I wish that I wasn't so caught up in.
- 33:30SPEAKER_02: I want to settle down, I want to settle down, I want to settle down.
- 33:33SPEAKER_02: Because that's something for millennials.
- 33:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 33:34SPEAKER_02: I think compared to millennials and now Gen Z, totally different.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: To like because that baby's like, first of all, no.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: Married?
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: No.
- 33:45SPEAKER_02: I got that.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: Like, for real.
- 33:47SPEAKER_02: For us as millennials, it was one of those things that was embedded in us.
- 33:51SPEAKER_02: You know, you want to get married, you have the children, you have the white picket fence, and you have the house, and you have all the things.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: Um, I wish I did more time of just experiencing things on my own.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: Just living life, just traveling, not saying I'm soft to y'all, because sometimes people will take your words and be like, she hates her life.
- 34:15SPEAKER_02: I don't hate my life.
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: I'm just saying that's something that I embed in other people that I talk to.
- 34:22SPEAKER_02: Um, before you get in this world, because once you get in this world of children and husbands, not saying you still can't travel, you still can't do the things, you just can't flow like you used to when you're running on your own.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: Literally.
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and that's why a lot of times, to be honest with you, a lot of my friends, because I was asked this too, like, how is majority of all your friends married and you're not?
- 34:49SPEAKER_02: Like, interesting, yeah.
- 34:50SPEAKER_02: Like, literally, all my friends, literally, all my friends were married, and I was not.
- 34:59SPEAKER_02: And I didn't pause.
- 35:01SPEAKER_02: So, what was what is your thought process on that?
- 35:03SPEAKER_02: Because you have some people that say it's not good.
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: I've heard people say I've heard people that it's not good for you to be single and have nothing but married friends, or they even say married women should not have friends that are single.
- 35:16SPEAKER_02: What are your thoughts on that?
- 35:18SPEAKER_02: I feel um, so I feel like I always like to know your boundaries.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: Correct.
- 35:31SPEAKER_02: Like, if there is certain stuff, the thing about me is I am not gonna press you.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: I am not the presser.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: I am not the one to be like, come on.
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: I'm not.
- 35:41SPEAKER_02: I be like, okay, I will go ahead and throw the idea out.
- 35:46SPEAKER_02: If you catch it, let's go.
- 35:48SPEAKER_02: If you don't, hey, pace, see you later.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: But I gotta get it, I am going bye bye, you know?
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: And I just I was fine with it.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: I had so I had Brittany, she was married.
- 36:07SPEAKER_02: Um, then I had my best, uh, my best friend in Orlando.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: At that time, she was in Orlando, now she's back down south with Tiffany, she was married.
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: And actually, when she was married, well, she was engaged, we were actually roommates.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: So just imagine you have a single friend that lives her best life.
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: The best.
- 36:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm not caring, you guys.
- 36:34SPEAKER_02: Not like outrageous, but I am not caring.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: But baby, I gotta live for me.
- 36:40SPEAKER_02: I got to live.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: Like, like, she will like sometimes act like my mom.
- 36:46SPEAKER_02: Like, she would be like, T, I think you should call your mom.
- 36:50SPEAKER_02: She called me twice, she tried to call you.
- 36:51SPEAKER_02: Like, she will like, she was like a uh friend, friend, like it's like, all right, it was that.
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: She was that, and then I had my friend Smyrna, she was married.
- 37:05SPEAKER_02: Like, everybody around me was married.
- 37:08SPEAKER_02: But to be honest, with you, because I'm so goofy and crazy, and in my mind, there's not a difference.
- 37:16SPEAKER_02: Now, what makes a difference for me?
- 37:19SPEAKER_02: Probably this will make a difference for me to look at it differently.
- 37:22SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: If your actions are different, like even for a simple night, just you know, now if I'm always sending out an invitation, like you just never want to come, or you never want to come.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: Like, no, I don't feel like going out to dinner.
- 37:37SPEAKER_02: No, I've and I'm like, mm-hmm.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Sue's got to go.
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: Like, she may be my big boy, like you're not.
- 37:48SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, then that's when it will start to be in my mind, like, okay, so you all about your man.
- 37:55SPEAKER_02: But remember, I was here before he got here.
- 37:57SPEAKER_02: So please give me some grace too.
- 37:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 38:00SPEAKER_02: Give me some grace too.
- 38:02SPEAKER_02: So I've been kind of spoiled when it comes to that of having friends still want to hang with me.
- 38:08SPEAKER_02: And like, because you got some people, they don't have that life.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: They don't, they don't have that life.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: They don't.
- 38:16SPEAKER_02: That thing is like, mm-mm.
- 38:18SPEAKER_02: I'm trying to be, I'm trying to be cuddled up.
- 38:22SPEAKER_02: Now, I will say I did have a moment.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: Chadlet, I did have a moment with Chadlett when I first got married, or probably when I was dating before we got married, because we didn't really date that long, but when we did date it, we dated.
- 38:38SPEAKER_02: Um, well, okay.
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: I can only speak on what they said their experience was.
- 38:44SPEAKER_02: Their experience was that I wasn't around as often.
- 38:50SPEAKER_02: But my experience was you guys never experienced me in a relationship.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: You only experienced the single me.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: The single me was like, where are we going?
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's go.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: We finna go to the snow, let's go to the snow.
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's spend a night, I spend a night, I spend a night all week if you want me to.
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: Like, because I didn't have anything going on.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: You finna go out, you finna go to the festival, let's go, let's do it, let's go.
- 39:14SPEAKER_02: Um, so now I'm dating somebody who says, Hey, I know you like your friends, but I want to take you out.
- 39:20SPEAKER_02: Let me take you out.
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: So there's different flows and changes, but again, communication.
- 39:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: It's all about communication.
- 39:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:30SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I think when it comes down to married friends, single friends, I don't really care.
- 39:36SPEAKER_02: It's your life.
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: Now, but like you said, if it does come to a point where we ain't talking, hanging out at all, then it's like, all right, let's come to the data.
- 39:47SPEAKER_02: Let's talk about this thing.
- 39:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:49SPEAKER_02: But especially now when you all become married, then you begin to see, like, dang, everybody's scheduled all over the place.
- 39:57SPEAKER_02: Like, uh everybody's schedules all over the place.
- 40:01SPEAKER_02: I think we do pretty good.
- 40:02SPEAKER_02: We do.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: We do.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: We do pretty good.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: Melanie is not really like busy like hers, though, you guys.
- 40:10SPEAKER_02: Like, even though, like, I only have, and y'all be like, but how?
- 40:15SPEAKER_02: You have six.
- 40:16SPEAKER_02: She has two.
- 40:17SPEAKER_02: Like, no, I only have in Georgia right now, I only have three.
- 40:24SPEAKER_02: So, and one is about to go off to college.
- 40:26SPEAKER_02: So, then that leaves two because the rest of them.
- 40:29SPEAKER_02: So, that's the reason why.
- 40:32SPEAKER_02: And then, like, my son doesn't play sports, like, and then I have another son that just draws.
- 40:39SPEAKER_02: So, um, they're not really like go out like Zion is, but Ben's not.
- 40:47SPEAKER_02: So, I don't, you know, things that it's so funny when kids, when they get older, it's like when you try to like think of activities, be like, come on, like I be excited.
- 40:59SPEAKER_02: Like, mom has to, huh?
- 41:01SPEAKER_02: And they're like, So what, so what do they do here?
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: Like, is you just look at pumpkins?
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: Like, and I'm like, I'm excited.
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 41:09SPEAKER_02: Because that used to be your thing when you was like five years.
- 41:12SPEAKER_02: Now you just feel like you're so even Zy, he wasn't into it.
- 41:15SPEAKER_02: He was just like, So, what do they do there?
- 41:18SPEAKER_02: Like, he kept on asking five million questions before he said yes.
- 41:21SPEAKER_02: So then it made me be like, Well, I don't know.
- 41:25SPEAKER_02: I don't know, but the only person that still encourages me to go is it.
- 41:31SPEAKER_02: He's like, we'll just go.
- 41:32SPEAKER_02: They'll probably want to go.
- 41:33SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, not if they in their phones, not if they're in their phones.
- 41:38SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna.
- 41:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, a lot of times you gotta tell them, because even with the kids, I'd be like, hey, I don't know what you got going on.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: No tablets.
- 41:45SPEAKER_02: Well, we're doing we're we're doing.
- 41:46SPEAKER_02: But I think it probably is personality, and it maybe even, it might be even, um I'm gonna say this in a way maybe you can understand.
- 41:58SPEAKER_02: When you had your baby, because you were so busy with, you know, taking care of the house and everything, in turn, he was more independent.
- 42:08SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 42:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:09SPEAKER_02: When I had my children, I was the one like, I want to be stay-at-home mom.
- 42:14SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 42:15SPEAKER_02: I give them all of my attention to the point they look at me if I'm not giving attention.
- 42:19SPEAKER_02: What do you got going on?
- 42:21SPEAKER_02: Because I'm here.
- 42:22SPEAKER_02: I need to be in my face.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: So I think in turn, they're kind of looking for me to do all the activities and things like that, where they come and be like, where are we going?
- 42:31SPEAKER_02: Are we gonna do a tip activity?
- 42:32SPEAKER_02: Are we gonna go somewhere?
- 42:32SPEAKER_02: Are we gonna do something together?
- 42:33SPEAKER_02: Are we gonna do something?
- 42:34SPEAKER_02: Can we do this?
- 42:35SPEAKER_02: Can we do science projects?
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: So I think it's different.
- 42:37SPEAKER_02: And probably with Zy, Zai, like, listen, lady.
- 42:42SPEAKER_02: Period.
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: Literally in my mind, I'm 17.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: Literally, in mind, he is.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: I am 17 years.
- 42:49SPEAKER_02: Literally in his mind, he's not wanna put in the patch.
- 42:53SPEAKER_02: He is just want to put another patch.
- 42:56SPEAKER_02: But you literally even have to tell them sometimes, like, hey, these tablets, leave them at house.
- 43:01SPEAKER_02: Leave them at house, bro.
- 43:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's focus on family time.
- 43:04SPEAKER_02: You want family time, let's focus on family time.
- 43:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: But even when sometimes my kids, I may be excited about something, and when we get there, they just be like, What are we doing next?
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 43:20SPEAKER_02: I thought this was I thought this was oh yeah, I paid like$80.
- 43:28SPEAKER_02: Literally.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: This is this is kind of expensive, guys.
- 43:33SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's like it.
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: I just wasted my time.
- 43:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think that's what it is.
- 43:37SPEAKER_02: Probably for him, you know, in his mind, he the same age as Ben in Garmin.
- 43:42SPEAKER_02: He's a teenager.
- 43:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he grown.
- 43:46SPEAKER_02: He don't have time.
- 43:47SPEAKER_02: I feel like when you guys do the festival, they're gonna have fun.
- 43:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I hope so.
- 43:51SPEAKER_02: The hay ride.
- 43:52SPEAKER_02: I hope so.
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: Girl, you remember back in the day?
- 43:56SPEAKER_02: Now when I look back on it, I'm like, oh, that was so unsanitary.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: Disgusting.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: You remember back in the day I used to do bobbing for apples?
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: I heard of that.
- 44:04SPEAKER_02: I've never done it.
- 44:05SPEAKER_02: Have you ever done it?
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: Oh my God.
- 44:10SPEAKER_02: That was like one of our activities in after school care.
- 44:12SPEAKER_02: You know, sometimes they'll do like the fall festivals and stuff.
- 44:15SPEAKER_02: And one of the activities was bobbing for apples.
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: And then when you look back on it, like it was just so many mouths in that bucket.
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: Bobbing for apples.
- 44:26SPEAKER_02: Bobbing for apples.
- 44:27SPEAKER_02: Grabbing apples with your mouth.
- 44:31SPEAKER_02: And kids.
- 44:33SPEAKER_02: Children.
- 44:34SPEAKER_02: Saliva.
- 44:35SPEAKER_02: Germs.
- 44:36SPEAKER_02: Kids.
- 44:36SPEAKER_02: And we just, we see germs.
- 44:39SPEAKER_02: We just doing it.
- 44:40SPEAKER_02: They don't do it now, but I hope y'all not bobbing for apples.
- 44:44SPEAKER_02: I hope so.
- 44:44SPEAKER_02: Because the state of the world is crazy.
- 44:47SPEAKER_02: I mean, the fact that people are just nasty is crazy.
- 44:52SPEAKER_02: Mm-mm.
- 44:52SPEAKER_02: You should not be doing that.
- 44:53SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I think they're having a good time.
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:56SPEAKER_02: I think so, too.
- 44:57SPEAKER_02: And so I will be having a good time.
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: Because you're going to be a T TikTok.
- 45:03SPEAKER_02: Period.
- 45:04SPEAKER_02: Explaining everything.
- 45:05SPEAKER_02: 25 pictures.
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: Okay, guys.
- 45:08SPEAKER_02: I got me some apple cider.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: Here it is.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's me.
- 45:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:14SPEAKER_02: That's me.
- 45:15SPEAKER_02: And sometimes they'll have like up here in Georgia, they'll have like the slides and stuff too.
- 45:20SPEAKER_02: They have like little rides.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: Hey rites.
- 45:24SPEAKER_02: I don't really fool with the animals.
- 45:26SPEAKER_02: Um, they'll do the slides.
- 45:28SPEAKER_02: Sometimes they have like the tiger swings.
- 45:31SPEAKER_02: Not that you don't feel like.
- 45:32SPEAKER_02: I don't fool with them animals.
- 45:34SPEAKER_02: Girl, because when them goats started getting eco, what is it?
- 45:37SPEAKER_02: Eco by salmonella?
- 45:39SPEAKER_02: Something.
- 45:40SPEAKER_02: Rabbi's.
- 45:41SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's it was.
- 45:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:43SPEAKER_02: So in the patty farms, the animals were getting um rabies.
- 45:48SPEAKER_02: And when you come when you come in contact with an animal that has rabies, you have to go to the hospital and get autumn rabies shots to prevent you from getting sick from rabies.
- 45:58SPEAKER_02: I ain't got that.
- 46:00SPEAKER_02: Dang, I didn't know that.
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: So I said when we go to the festivals, we're gonna say, oh hi, goat, and we're gonna move on.
- 46:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm the type that will just spy the bed so that I can give it to the goat.
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: And whatever animals to spy.
- 46:18SPEAKER_01: We'll see how it goes, guys.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: We'll see how it goes.
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna try not to, because after she just said that, it had me thinking, but I will see.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: I will see.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: I will see.
- 46:29SPEAKER_02: Girl, it set me by surprise because you never see no darn goat or them little animals having rabies.
- 46:35SPEAKER_02: So now my mind, you know my mind, how my mind works.
- 46:37SPEAKER_02: When I see what I see them little news stories, I'm like, oh god, I can't mess with the goats.
- 46:46SPEAKER_02: And I we always take them to like the little petting zoos and stuff like that.
- 46:48SPEAKER_02: I can't do it right now.
- 46:50SPEAKER_02: They gotta get well, they gotta get their bodies together.
- 46:53SPEAKER_02: We're gonna pray for the goats when the goats get healthy again, then we'll bet them.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: Amen.
- 47:00SPEAKER_02: I am I guess the goats behind no goats, no more goats for the Jets household.
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: We'll try it out next October and see how things go.
- 47:11SPEAKER_02: But we're gonna get this apple cider, and we're gonna pick these pumpkins and we're gonna carve them.
- 47:16SPEAKER_02: Amen.
- 47:17SPEAKER_02: I love you.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: It's them carving.
- 47:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, y'all, I mean, you know, you spent some time with us, and um, I think this was great.
- 47:30SPEAKER_02: I look forward to our conversations.
- 47:33SPEAKER_02: Um if you are listening, yes, I want to hear, I want to see best friend stories.
- 47:41SPEAKER_02: Tell us your best friends and tell us who who their names, if you don't mind sharing, or just share with us how you guys met.
- 47:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:50SPEAKER_02: And let's see if you can remember because we didn't really remember when we started talking.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: We just know we just connected.
- 47:56SPEAKER_02: And that's probably just the gift of friendship.
- 47:58SPEAKER_02: So I want to know for y'all, like, you know, your best friends.
- 48:01SPEAKER_02: When did you guys meet?
- 48:02SPEAKER_02: And how did you meet?
- 48:04SPEAKER_02: How did it go?
- 48:05SPEAKER_02: How did you hit it off?
- 48:06SPEAKER_02: And how long you guys have been friends?
- 48:09SPEAKER_02: And I am a tear, teary-y eye person.
- 48:13SPEAKER_02: So if it's something like very like, I'm gonna cry.
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna cry.
- 48:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, she got me through very difficult times, like stuff like that.
- 48:25SPEAKER_02: Yes, I'm crying.
- 48:26SPEAKER_02: Yes, and I would love to read some of those.
- 48:29SPEAKER_02: We can read them during the next episode.
- 48:30SPEAKER_02: So that was really we've all been really good.
- 48:32SPEAKER_02: We can.
- 48:32SPEAKER_02: So please share what I'll say.
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: Tell us about your friendship, how long you guys have been friends, and how you met.
- 48:39SPEAKER_02: We will love to see it.
- 48:40SPEAKER_02: Yes, ma'am.
- 48:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, wanna lead us out?
- 48:48SPEAKER_02: Thank you guys so much for joining us.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: Not us again.
- 48:53SPEAKER_02: You guys are great, stay beautiful, be happy, enjoy the tweet.
- 48:58SPEAKER_02: Uh, may the Lord watch between me, you and me, you and me, family, and uh, yeah.
- 49:09SPEAKER_02: We will see you guys next time.
