- 2:07we'll kick off the show.
- 2:08All right, everyone.
- 2:09So this week, it's all about See It
- 2:12Right, Live It Strong, series five, show 13.
- 2:17And right now we're gonna kick off episode
- 2:19number one.
- 2:20So See It Right, Live It Strong is
- 2:22our master topic for the entire week.
- 2:26And each day we come up with another
- 2:29granular topic to help us become a better
- 2:33version of ourself.
- 2:34Again, it is Saturday and our first topic
- 2:37I'm gonna get into in just a moment.
- 2:39But before I get into it, I wanna
- 2:41let you know that I am John C.
- 2:43Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 2:48podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate student, and
- 2:52a passionate lifelong learner.
- 2:55And it is my privilege, ladies and gentlemen,
- 2:57to be with you here on the Inspirations
- 2:59For Your Life show.
- 3:02Yes, I'm so grateful to be here with
- 3:04all you wonderful people.
- 3:06So welcome everyone, if I didn't say welcome
- 3:08enough times, to the Inspirations For Your Life
- 3:10show.
- 3:11This evening, I'm gonna dive into the topic
- 3:15of seeing clearly, noticing what others miss, making
- 3:20stronger decisions, and stepping into a higher standard
- 3:23of living.
- 3:24When you see the truth faster, you act
- 3:26with confidence, guys, you reduce mistakes, and you
- 3:30build upon the unstoppable momentum that you start.
- 3:34So let's kick this right off, everyone, all
- 3:36right?
- 3:37So it is Saturday, it is March 21st,
- 3:392026.
- 3:41See what's really there.
- 3:42That is what the granular topic is, guys,
- 3:46for today's show.
- 3:48We went over what the master topic is,
- 3:49this is what the granular topic is.
- 3:51See what's really there.
- 3:52Number one, guys, not everything is as it
- 3:55appears.
- 3:56Sorry to say that.
- 3:57Dig deeper to understand reality.
- 4:00I think a lot of people see things
- 4:02on the surface and they take that for
- 4:04what it is.
- 4:04It's kind of reminds me of the tradition,
- 4:08you know, if you've ever gone to Alaska,
- 4:09I haven't gone there, but I do wanna
- 4:10go there.
- 4:10And that is where we say, you know,
- 4:12you're just looking at the tip of the
- 4:13iceberg.
- 4:14The real iceberg is way below, you know,
- 4:16where we're just scratching the surface, or you're
- 4:18just dipping your toe in the water.
- 4:20You're not even getting your full, you know,
- 4:23foot in the water, right?
- 4:25So these are important things to understand.
- 4:28Number two, guys, first impressions are often incomplete.
- 4:34Giving situations a second look is something that's
- 4:37important.
- 4:37I know a lot of people make their
- 4:39judgment, make their decision based on a hunch,
- 4:42based on that first impression.
- 4:44And a lot of people are gonna do
- 4:45this.
- 4:45Okay, don't get me wrong.
- 4:46I wanna encourage you to not make a
- 4:50first impression, even though a lot of people
- 4:52say to do it and be quick with
- 4:53it.
- 4:53I want you to make an impression based
- 4:57on what you see, hear, and observe.
- 4:59Not that first impression, because let's face it,
- 5:02something could have gone wrong, right?
- 5:04They could have had an issue with the
- 5:05dog, or family, or traffic, or whatever.
- 5:07So don't make your lasting impression of the
- 5:12person or situation based on the first thing
- 5:14that happens, because things happen the first time.
- 5:18And if we don't give somebody that second
- 5:19chance, we may never get to find that
- 5:23diamond in the rough.
- 5:25All right, guys, so number three is look
- 5:27beyond what's obvious.
- 5:29Hidden patterns reveal keys to success.
- 5:32A lot of people are in this rush
- 5:35to get through something that they miss the
- 5:38pattern.
- 5:39And by missing the pattern, they throw away
- 5:43all opportunities for success to even start to
- 5:47grow.
- 5:48And that is really the truth, guys.
- 5:49People sometimes believe that if we could take
- 5:54it slower, but people say, well, I don't
- 5:57have time to do it slow now.
- 5:58I'm gonna do it slow later.
- 5:59I just wanna get to the end.
- 6:01Okay, so if you get to the end
- 6:03of something, my question is, what do you
- 6:04do when you get to the end?
- 6:06Well, I don't understand it, or it didn't
- 6:08go right.
- 6:08So we're gonna start over.
- 6:09So why are you rushing to get to
- 6:11the end of something when you're gonna have
- 6:14to do the whole thing all over again
- 6:16if it's not right?
- 6:17I mean, that's just an oxymoron question, right?
- 6:20Number four, guys, truth hides in small details.
- 6:24Tiny cues matter.
- 6:26You know, when we're talking about things like,
- 6:29this is something I learned from a seminar
- 6:32many years ago.
- 6:33The gentleman's name was Dr. Karas.
- 6:35I'm not sure if he's even around, but
- 6:37he had said something very interesting, you know,
- 6:38something called funny money.
- 6:40And what he had said about funny money
- 6:43is that it's okay to deal in funny
- 6:45money, okay?
- 6:46If you are the one that is winning
- 6:48on funny money, if you're the one that
- 6:52is getting asked to deal in funny money,
- 6:55and you don't understand it, you might get
- 6:57burnt.
- 6:58So what does that mean?
- 6:59Funny money is something that we don't obviously
- 7:02think of as money.
- 7:04We might say that, you know, it's gonna
- 7:06only be 4 cents a clip.
- 7:094 cents a clip is nothing, or a
- 7:12click.
- 7:13Okay, so until you take 4 cents, okay?
- 7:16And let's say that your office, okay, deals
- 7:19with, I don't know, let's say you deal
- 7:21with 10,000 copies.
- 7:23And on 4 cents, well, that's $400.
- 7:27So, but it can get larger with other
- 7:29things, because when people don't realize, it's only
- 7:33this sense, it's only that sense.
- 7:34Also funny money when you deal with the
- 7:36post office, when they have something called, you
- 7:39know, return mail, where it's business reply mail.
- 7:43It might say, gee, these are small numbers.
- 7:45They are, but if everybody's sending your mailing
- 7:47back, are you prepared to know what that
- 7:50cost could be?
- 7:50So funny money is a way of saying
- 7:54that the amount of money, or the cost
- 7:58of something is so minuscule, that you probably
- 8:01don't even care, but you should care because
- 8:03it could add up to hundreds or thousands,
- 8:07even millions, okay?
- 8:09So I just wanted to share that with
- 8:10you.
- 8:11So guys, truth hides in those small details.
- 8:13And it doesn't have to be what Dr.
- 8:15Karas showed us.
- 8:15It could be as something as, you know,
- 8:17you're ordering something, making sure you're getting the
- 8:19right color, making sure that you're ordering the
- 8:23right, you know, plug type.
- 8:26If it's in America, the United States, as
- 8:28opposed to Europe, they have the three prong
- 8:30plugs, right?
- 8:32They have the two, they have the, actually,
- 8:34they have the two prong, we have the
- 8:37two prong, but they have like the three,
- 8:38and they have like the round one, where
- 8:40we have the two blades, and then the
- 8:41round at the bottom, there's a little bit
- 8:43different.
- 8:44There's actually has like a little socket, and
- 8:46then you plug it in, and then the
- 8:47two posts, which are not actually, they're not
- 8:52actually blades.
- 8:55They're like round poles, very similar to the
- 8:58pole that we have on our ground.
- 9:00Okay, so I just wanted to make you
- 9:00aware of that.
- 9:01So number five, guys, is most people miss
- 9:05what matters.
- 9:07Train your attention, learn to do this early
- 9:10on what's important.
- 9:12If you don't know what's important, well, it
- 9:13better be your business to figure out what's
- 9:15important.
- 9:15Because if you keep doing things the way
- 9:18you're doing them, you're gonna waste resources.
- 9:21Resources could be time, people, money, at all
- 9:25costs, right?
- 9:27Number six, guys, clarity comes from attention.
- 9:32Focus determines the understanding.
- 9:35What we put our focus on, okay, is
- 9:39what's gonna happen in our life.
- 9:42And a lot of people don't realize that,
- 9:45oh, you know, I can't walk, I can't
- 9:46do this, I can't do that.
- 9:47The more you focus on, I can't, I
- 9:49can't, I can't, the more you're telling your
- 9:51body, okay, I don't wanna walk, okay, I
- 9:53can't do this, okay, I'm gonna be in
- 9:54pain.
- 9:54Whatever you tell your body, okay, is what
- 9:57your body is actually gonna process.
- 9:59Okay, you say to yourself, oh, I'm not
- 10:01smart.
- 10:01Okay, you're not smart.
- 10:02I keep telling myself, you know, I didn't
- 10:05get to be smart by telling my brain
- 10:09bad things.
- 10:10I realized that the diet I eat and
- 10:14the nutrition I put in my body is
- 10:15just as important as the nutrition I put
- 10:17into my mind every day.
- 10:19Hence the concept of BelieveMeAchieve.com.
- 10:22Hey, guys, very happy to share with you
- 10:24that on April, make sure I'm giving you
- 10:26the right date here, on April 17th, guys,
- 10:30yeah, April, make sure I'm giving you the
- 10:32right date, April 17th, yeah, I'll be dedicating
- 10:35the book, and I can't give you the
- 10:37title yet, on the 17th, I'll be dedicating
- 10:39the first copy of the book to my
- 10:41parents who'll be coming to New Jersey, and
- 10:43I'll be letting them unwrap the book on
- 10:45camera, and I'll be reading the dedication to
- 10:49them right from the book and thanking them.
- 10:52And it'll be a short little program, and
- 10:54then the title will be revealed, okay?
- 10:56So I'm really excited about that.
- 10:58It is a 14-chapter book, excuse me.
- 11:01It's about 100, 110 pages roughly, and each
- 11:04chapter takes about 30 minutes to read if
- 11:07you do the PNR, the pause and reflect,
- 11:09right?
- 11:09So the book is coming out the day
- 11:11after that, the 17th, we'll have the book
- 11:14ready for order, which I think will be
- 11:15like the 18th or the 19th, and on
- 11:17May 1st, the book will be ready for
- 11:19shipping, it'll be ready for eKindle download, it'll
- 11:22also be ready for Audible listing.
- 11:24So there's a lot of good stuff happening.
- 11:26Number seven, guys, slow down to see more.
- 11:30Pausing reveals insights.
- 11:32Everyone I talk to is always in such
- 11:35a big rush, but then they're also the
- 11:38ones that complain that it's not working right.
- 11:40And the reason it's not working right is
- 11:42you're such in a hurry to get to
- 11:45the end.
- 11:46We need to enjoy the beginning, we need
- 11:49to enjoy that middle, even though the middle
- 11:51might be messy, and we need to enjoy
- 11:53the process of success.
- 11:56A lot of people are like, oh, I'm
- 11:57not successful yet.
- 11:58No, enjoy the process.
- 12:01Enjoy the ride.
- 12:02Have you ever gone on a ride, whether
- 12:03it was a Disney or let's see, Hollywood
- 12:06Studios or Universal Studios, or even an amusement
- 12:12park, right?
- 12:13Or a carnival that comes to town.
- 12:17Enjoy the ride, right?
- 12:19The ride is so much fun.
- 12:22Number eight, guys, noise hides reality.
- 12:26Every single day, we get noise.
- 12:28Fill the distractions to see clearly.
- 12:30So what's noise?
- 12:30Noise could be other people talking around you.
- 12:33Noise could be things in your path that
- 12:36are preventing you from getting done what you
- 12:38need to get done.
- 12:40So it's very important that you learn when
- 12:43you're getting distracted.
- 12:44And if you are getting distracted, then you
- 12:46need to do something to make sure that
- 12:49distractions end.
- 12:51And that's not about being rude, guys.
- 12:52That's about being, I'm gonna say, loving to
- 12:58yourself.
- 12:58Because if you don't respect and love yourself,
- 13:02no one else will.
- 13:04So if people are distracting you, you don't
- 13:07have to be nasty to them.
- 13:08You can just say, just leave the situation.
- 13:10Let them have to go somewhere else.
- 13:11Go to the library, go somewhere else.
- 13:13Maybe you're in college and you can't find
- 13:14a place to study.
- 13:15Go book a study room, okay?
- 13:18Even now, I believe, depending on when you're
- 13:21watching this, spring is coming up, go outside
- 13:23and study, okay?
- 13:25Studying is supposed to be something that you
- 13:27enjoy, not something that you have to do.
- 13:30And I think a lot of people in
- 13:31grad, and let's not say graduate school first,
- 13:33but I'm gonna say undergrad school, they go
- 13:35to college because they have to go to
- 13:37college.
- 13:38Myself included, when I went to college.
- 13:40I enjoyed it, but I went because I
- 13:41had to go.
- 13:42I don't know if I want, I wanted
- 13:43to go, but it was different now that
- 13:46I'm in grad school.
- 13:47It's like, I really wanna be there.
- 13:49I really wanna do the very best I
- 13:52can.
- 13:52Where in undergrad school, I wanted to do
- 13:55well, but it was more about adjusting to
- 13:58the environment, to the people, to the teachers,
- 14:02to the expectations of what people wanted from
- 14:05me.
- 14:05So it was more than just going to
- 14:07college.
- 14:08It was a different phase of your life,
- 14:11right?
- 14:12One phase of your life starts when you're
- 14:14in grammar school.
- 14:15Another phase happens when you are in high
- 14:19school.
- 14:20Another phase happens when you're in college.
- 14:22Another phase happens when you graduate college.
- 14:25But those are the ones I wanna talk
- 14:28about right now.
- 14:29So if you're getting distractions, find out are
- 14:32the distractions internal to your body or the
- 14:35external?
- 14:36And either way, you have to figure out
- 14:37how you're gonna get rid of those chattering
- 14:39monkeys inside or get away from those people
- 14:42that keep asking you questions.
- 14:45Maybe you have a family member and they
- 14:47say, oh, sure, you can study here.
- 14:49But you find that every time you're reading,
- 14:51you're just like, oh, I have a question
- 14:52for you.
- 14:54And you don't wanna be rude, but like,
- 14:56I'm trying to read this.
- 14:56I know, but I just have a question
- 14:57on this.
- 14:58And then you finally have to say, look,
- 15:00I gotta go up to my room and
- 15:01study or I have to go here and
- 15:01study.
- 15:02Like, I get that you have an issue,
- 15:04but I gotta study and I don't think
- 15:05you get it.
- 15:06And I need to go somewhere else because
- 15:07you keep calling me every two minutes.
- 15:11Number nine, guys, number nine.
- 15:15Focus reveals the truth.
- 15:17Awareness separates signal from noise.
- 15:21So when we're aware of something, we're able
- 15:26to filter, let's say, parse out the noise.
- 15:31You might've heard of maybe some of the
- 15:33old recordings that were done and they're very
- 15:35scratchy now, whether they're on LP records or
- 15:38they're on cassette tapes.
- 15:40I think my cassette tapes is the more
- 15:41that you would play them.
- 15:44Still remember my Panasonic recorder.
- 15:47And I remember that one breaking after quite
- 15:49a few years.
- 15:50And then I got another one and that
- 15:51one lasted for quite a while.
- 15:53So it was the idea, and I still
- 15:54remember to this day, that if you put
- 15:57a tape in that, let's say, cassette player
- 16:02recorder, you put it in, and I remember
- 16:04my first one, you actually would press play
- 16:08and then hold the red record button down
- 16:10in the center.
- 16:11The next one I got had the play
- 16:13button here, but if you press the center
- 16:15of the play button altogether, then it would
- 16:17go to record mode.
- 16:18You had your rewind button, right?
- 16:19You had your FF button for fast forward.
- 16:23You had your stop button.
- 16:24I even had another button on there called
- 16:27fast, fast forward and RR rewind, which was
- 16:31like a double speed rewind and a double
- 16:33speed fast forward.
- 16:35And then I also remember on the side
- 16:37of the recorder was a jack where you
- 16:43had your 1.8 for your headphone and
- 16:45your earphone or headphone.
- 16:47And then you also had one for your
- 16:49mic.
- 16:50And I remember at the very beginning, recorders
- 16:54didn't have the voice capability, so they could
- 16:56automatically turn on.
- 16:57Later, I had gotten another portable one that
- 16:59actually could be turned on to the sensitivity
- 17:02of your voice.
- 17:02But I wanted to let you know that
- 17:03at awareness, when you listen to that tape,
- 17:06and we can use software now to take
- 17:09tapes that have been so many years old
- 17:10and actually using that technology and some math
- 17:16algorithms, we can actually remove the noise and
- 17:19actually strengthen the signal of the actual voice
- 17:24and lower everything else or totally eliminate it,
- 17:26which is pretty cool.
- 17:28All right, so when you're aware of it,
- 17:31we can address it and we can make
- 17:34the situation better.
- 17:36Number 10, guys, look deeper before judging.
- 17:39Premature conclusions waste our time.
- 17:43And I think sometimes people wanna judge so
- 17:45they can move on.
- 17:47And I get that, all right?
- 17:49What I would say to you is don't
- 17:50judge.
- 17:51If there's a situation that you don't think
- 17:53is the way it should be, just don't
- 17:55put a lot of time into it.
- 17:57And you can see later on, does it
- 17:58change?
- 17:58Does it not change?
- 17:59But just don't attach to it so much.
- 18:03And you'll find out later on whether you
- 18:05should attach more or whether you should completely
- 18:07detach.
- 18:08Number 11, guys, surface thinking creates mistakes.
- 18:14Depth brings insight.
- 18:16Somebody says, oh, you know, I just need
- 18:18an answer.
- 18:20And I remember in high school, I just
- 18:25gotta get the answer, just gotta get the
- 18:26answer.
- 18:28And my one teacher, I don't know if
- 18:29she's still alive, she's an amazing chemical engineer,
- 18:35chemist, engineer, physics.
- 18:37And she would always say to myself, and
- 18:40other people's like, no, you need to know
- 18:43more than just the answer.
- 18:45Well, I just need how to get the
- 18:46answer for the test.
- 18:47You need to know how to get answers,
- 18:49not how to get the answer.
- 18:50There's a difference to getting the answer and
- 18:53be able to get answers, right?
- 18:55If we were talking about adding and subtracting
- 18:58and you understood the process of adding and
- 19:00subtraction, that's great.
- 19:01You could add and subtract any number, right?
- 19:04But if I said to you, here's the
- 19:06answer, but if you don't understand the process,
- 19:10and that's what happens to a lot of
- 19:11people I found out in graduate school versus,
- 19:14let's say, undergraduate school.
- 19:17Undergraduate school is more about gaining answers, getting
- 19:19good grades, but it's not about owning the
- 19:21material.
- 19:22In grad school, you are wanting to own
- 19:25the material.
- 19:26You wanna do well on the test, but
- 19:28really it's about owning that material that it
- 19:30becomes yours, okay?
- 19:32Number 12, depth creates understanding and context informs
- 19:37the action or actions we need to take.
- 19:40Number 13, guys, seeing clearly saves time.
- 19:43Accuracy reduces wasted effort, so don't waste time.
- 19:46Number 14, reality rewards awareness.
- 19:50Attentiveness pays off.
- 19:52The key is, why don't you start doing
- 19:54that?
- 19:55Number 15, look twice, decide once.
- 19:59Careful observation prevents errors.
- 20:01My grandfather on my dad's side, Grandpa Morley,
- 20:07he always said, measure twice, cut once.
- 20:11Why?
- 20:12Because you can only cut it, you can
- 20:16never make it any bigger.
- 20:18You can make it smaller, but once you've
- 20:20made a mistake, you have to start all
- 20:22over with another block of wood or whatever
- 20:23you're using, wire, et cetera.
- 20:26Number 16, awareness builds advantage.
- 20:28Knowing more improves outcomes.
- 20:32Number 17, truth is often quiet.
- 20:34Subtle details matter.
- 20:37Even when we least suspect them, they sometimes
- 20:40come around to bite and say, wait a
- 20:42minute, you forgot about me.
- 20:44Number 18, distraction blocks insight.
- 20:47Minimize the interruptions that you have.
- 20:50I'm not saying you can get rid of
- 20:51every interruption, but you need to minimize them
- 20:53so you can at least get what you
- 20:55need done and focus.
- 20:56Number 19, vision improves outcomes.
- 20:59Seeing clearly changes decisions.
- 21:01And again, when I say seeing clearly, I'm
- 21:03not just talking about our two eyes that
- 21:05our creator gave us so wonderfully, but I'm
- 21:07talking about the whole experience, about being part
- 21:11of the situation and knowing what's going on.
- 21:15Number 20, guys, awareness creates control.
- 21:18Understand what it is before you jump to
- 21:21conclusions and act.
- 21:22Number 21, details change decisions.
- 21:27Notice what others ignore.
- 21:29You'll find out that if you take time
- 21:32to figure out what other people ignored, you'll
- 21:35be successful.
- 21:37And they have missed that opportunity.
- 21:39And then once you've been successful, they're gonna
- 21:41wanna come back and say, oh, I was
- 21:42gonna do that.
- 21:43Well, why didn't you do it?
- 21:44Number 22, clear sight builds confidence.
- 21:47Certainty grows with knowledge.
- 21:50Number 23, what you see shapes the action.
- 21:54Perception drives the behavior.
- 21:55Let me say that again.
- 21:56What you see creates it, but the perception
- 22:00drives the behavior.
- 22:02Number 24, guys, train your focus daily.
- 22:06Practice enhances the skill.
- 22:09When we practice, we don't become perfect, we
- 22:12get better.
- 22:13I had a teacher and the teacher said
- 22:15to me, John, we don't practice to become
- 22:17perfect.
- 22:17We practice to make our work better.
- 22:21Does it become close to perfect?
- 22:23Sometimes, yeah.
- 22:25Number 25, look for what others ignore.
- 22:29Opportunities hide in plain sight.
- 22:32I've seen times when people just miss what
- 22:36you would think is the simplest thing, but
- 22:38it's not that it's simple.
- 22:40It's that because I am an outside bystander
- 22:43looking at something as opposed to somebody that's
- 22:45internal, I don't have all that emotional attachment,
- 22:49so I'm not looking in just one spot.
- 22:53My eyes are not laser focused in one
- 22:56place.
- 22:56They're able to see potential opportunities.
- 22:59Number 26, guys, clarity reduces risk.
- 23:02Informed choices prevent loss.
- 23:04I'm not saying you're never gonna have risk,
- 23:06but the key to what smart people do
- 23:08is they look at risk and say, okay,
- 23:09this is a risk I have.
- 23:11This is the possibility.
- 23:12We have risks here, we have risks there.
- 23:14Which is the best way that I should
- 23:17proceed with the least amount of risk?
- 23:19I'll give you an example.
- 23:21Going swimming, right?
- 23:22You're going swimming and you're diving into the
- 23:25water, and of course, you always should be
- 23:27careful when you dive, but maybe you're not
- 23:31sure where it's safe to dive, so you
- 23:35look at some things.
- 23:37First of all, you've been in the water
- 23:39before.
- 23:39Now you know where the depth is a
- 23:41little better, or now you know that diving
- 23:43on this side, even though they're both deep,
- 23:46you know that this side is safer because
- 23:48there's no sharp edges, or there's no barnacles,
- 23:51or there's no whatever in our way to
- 23:53possibly injure us.
- 23:56Number 26, guys, clarity reduces informed choices, and
- 24:00it will also help us prevent loss.
- 24:02So clarity helps us prevent risk.
- 24:04It also helps us prevent loss.
- 24:07Clarity gets us to see the full picture,
- 24:10not just the tree, not just the squirrel,
- 24:14not just the birds or the blades of
- 24:16grass or the dirt, right?
- 24:21Helps us see the whole entire forest.
- 24:24And what I've found is some people have
- 24:25tunnel vision where they only see the squirrel
- 24:27or the tree, or people only see the
- 24:30whole forest, but they're not able to zoom
- 24:32in on those different elements.
- 24:34They might say, well, gee, what's the difference?
- 24:36You need to be able to do both.
- 24:38You need to be able to look at
- 24:39the whole picture, and then if you see
- 24:40something that's out of whack, you zoom into
- 24:42like, oh, I gotta check.
- 24:43I'll give an example.
- 24:44So AI recently solved the problem that took
- 24:47people, I think, months to even come close
- 24:51to doing.
- 24:52The system did a detection, finding a very
- 24:54tiny red dot in one of the pixels
- 24:56from a camera.
- 24:57No one else picked this up.
- 24:59It was very small.
- 25:00And it picked it, it zoomed in, and
- 25:02it figured out that that little dot is
- 25:05a helmet.
- 25:06They later went digging in, and yes, it
- 25:08was a helmet, and that was the person
- 25:10that had been missing.
- 25:11So these little tiny nuances that we would
- 25:15just brush off are sometimes the key to
- 25:20helping us find the answer.
- 25:22Number 27, guys, awareness creates power.
- 25:27Knowledge is leverage, but we have to remember
- 25:29knowledge is a tool.
- 25:31We need to use it for the greater
- 25:33good of all concern.
- 25:34We don't wanna use it to harm or
- 25:36hurt anyone or to try to overpower someone
- 25:40to make this be like a dictatorship.
- 25:43Number 28, guys, seeing well is a skill,
- 25:46and I'm not just talking about our beautiful
- 25:47eyes.
- 25:48I'm talking about developing it intentionally.
- 25:51So seeing it with our mind, our heart,
- 25:53and yes, our soul, if you believe in
- 25:54all that, which I do, you need to
- 25:57realize seeing is not just the eyes.
- 26:00Seeing is a perception of the reality that
- 26:04is around us in this world.
- 26:07Okay, seeing is another word for seeing, sensing,
- 26:11right?
- 26:11Robots, and I know this isn't really a
- 26:13tech show, but we're getting to some of
- 26:14these points because they make sense.
- 26:16Robots don't really know things around them, but
- 26:19they have sensors, sensors that can tell the
- 26:23position of their arms, sensors that can tell
- 26:26what's in front of them.
- 26:28They can measure distance, see objects, et cetera.
- 26:32So they sense the world, report back the
- 26:35data, and then based on numbers, they're able
- 26:38to turn that into something, whether it be
- 26:40a picture, whether that be an image, what
- 26:42have you.
- 26:43Our body does the same thing.
- 26:45We have our eyes, we can smell, we
- 26:48can hear, we can touch, we can taste.
- 26:52Now, maybe I'm in a dark room, and
- 26:53I don't know if I'm gonna hit something,
- 26:54so I'm going really slow, and I have
- 26:56my hand out, maybe a little, maybe a
- 26:58foot in front of me, and I'm walking
- 27:01slowly, and I notice, whoop, I just touched
- 27:03a wall, and it's cold.
- 27:05So we get senses, and if we could
- 27:07apply that correctly, then guess what, guys?
- 27:09We can use those, let's say, attributes to
- 27:13help us adjust.
- 27:15Number 28, practice noticing more repetition sharpens observation.
- 27:21I think a lot of people say, you
- 27:22know what, I've done this already.
- 27:23I don't wanna do this anymore.
- 27:25You're not an expert.
- 27:27You can always get better.
- 27:29Number 30, clear vision changes everything.
