- 0:02Speaker 1: On Scolds Australia. This is the reader Panete.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Show, Good evening and welcome to the Rita Panehe Show.
- 0:10Speaker 2: I'm Daniki di Giorgio coming up tonight. Anthony Albanesi dismisses
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hermas's praise as propaganda, as the opposition reiterate their calls
- 0:19Speaker 2: for the PM to not recognize Palestine the bizarre claims
- 0:23Speaker 2: by the ABC that heated swimming pools are contributing to
- 0:27Speaker 2: rising emissions. Kel Richards will join me Army Horowitz on
- 0:31Speaker 2: Donald Trump's latest threat to Russia if Vladimir Putin does
- 0:35Speaker 2: not agree to end the war in Ukraine during their
- 0:38Speaker 2: upcoming peace summit. Season two of Megan Markles with Love
- 0:42Speaker 2: Meghan series is already facing backlash after a controversial model
- 0:47Speaker 2: appeared in the trailer. Kinsey Schofield will tell us why
- 0:51Speaker 2: and of course left he's losing it, including the insufferable
- 0:54Speaker 2: level of gender confusion.
- 0:57Speaker 3: So not a girl, but I do have a girlfriend.
- 0:59Speaker 3: But my my girlfriend really isn't like a girl. So
- 1:02Speaker 3: that's why I call him my boyfriend and they call
- 1:05Speaker 3: me their boyfriend.
- 1:06Speaker 2: But first tonight, the Prime Minister has taken a nothing
- 1:09Speaker 2: to see here approach after Hamask praised Labour's decision to
- 1:13Speaker 2: recognize a Palestinian statehood.
- 1:16Speaker 4: The opposition has.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Accused you of involden in Hamas.
- 1:20Speaker 6: What do you say the criticisms that you've given them
- 1:23Speaker 6: a propaganda victory.
- 1:24Speaker 7: Well, what I say is that they shouldn't repeat Hamas's propaganda.
- 1:28Speaker 7: So I won't be a cheer squad for Hamas and
- 1:31Speaker 7: for its statements. What I'll do is say that Hamas
- 1:34Speaker 7: should be isolated.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Joining me now to discuss this and more is Menzi's research.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Fellow Nick Cator and founder of a Dony Media Lisa Goddard.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Hi to both of you. Thanks so much for joining me.
- 1:45Speaker 8: Nick.
- 1:45Speaker 2: So the Prime Minister is calling it propaganda. What exactly
- 1:50Speaker 2: did he expect was going to happen?
- 1:52Speaker 1: He's propaganda, of course, But I see this as like
- 1:55Speaker 1: I've never done it. By the way, but you know,
- 1:57Speaker 1: if you were to go the wrong way onto a motorway,
- 1:59Speaker 1: go down, there's a big sign that says stop, go
- 2:02Speaker 1: back wrong way. This is that sign. I think friendly
- 2:06Speaker 1: all believe this is a sign that he has to
- 2:07Speaker 1: turn around. He says it's propagandas if he doesn't believe it,
- 2:10Speaker 1: he doesn't seem to believe the polling either that says
- 2:13Speaker 1: that har Mass would win very comfortably. I don't know,
- 2:15Speaker 1: maybe you think that the Liberal Party's polling company is
- 2:18Speaker 1: doing it or something like that, but no, I mean
- 2:20Speaker 1: this was not, as he suggested, polling in Gaza. This
- 2:23Speaker 1: was polling on the West Bank in the Palestinian territory,
- 2:27Speaker 1: which is even more alarming. The whole thing is is
- 2:31Speaker 1: completely nuts and unsustainable. But his purpose is just purely symbolic,
- 2:36Speaker 1: as we know.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Absolutely, yeah, and you're right, the majority majority support Hermas
- 2:40Speaker 2: and the majority supported Hamas's decision to carry out the
- 2:43Speaker 2: October seventh massacres. So what did this guy seriously expect? Now,
- 2:48Speaker 2: have a listened to the opposition leader Susan Lee today
- 2:50Speaker 2: on the topic.
- 2:51Speaker 6: Prime Minister has said he's not a cheerleader for her Mass.
- 2:56Speaker 6: The problem is that Harms is a cheerleader for him.
- 3:00Speaker 6: And when you have terrorists cheering on your foreign policy,
- 3:04Speaker 6: you know that you've got it wrong.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Lisa, is she right?
- 3:11Speaker 9: Yeah, Dedika, she is absolutely spot on with this. And
- 3:14Speaker 9: what we're seeing is yet again Anthony Albanzi with a
- 3:17Speaker 9: glass jay here, because what he's done today is come
- 3:19Speaker 9: out and say the media are the ones that he's
- 3:21Speaker 9: accusing for spreading terrorist propaganda.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Now, the question comes back to a bit to what
- 3:25Speaker 4: Nick said.
- 3:26Speaker 9: He's very fast to say this is propaganda, but he
- 3:28Speaker 9: never really came out and questioned the other propaganda that
- 3:31Speaker 9: was coming out from a muss where he looked at
- 3:33Speaker 9: photos that were coming out, we were looking at numbers
- 3:34Speaker 9: around the.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Death toll figures.
- 3:36Speaker 9: It was more than happy to sort of sit back
- 3:38Speaker 9: and let those run through the media.
- 3:39Speaker 4: But today it's the media's fault.
- 3:41Speaker 9: We shouldn't be promoting and putting the headlines out there
- 3:43Speaker 9: that he must have squirmed at. Looking at this morning,
- 3:46Speaker 9: he's very much shown that he doesn't like what's happening
- 3:48Speaker 9: in the media today. He doesn't want the headlines that
- 3:51Speaker 9: he's copying at the moment. But the end of the day,
- 3:53Speaker 9: he said it, and that's what he has to live with.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he's always blamed somebody else, loves to shift blame
- 3:58Speaker 2: for his own fate errors, and this is certainly one
- 4:02Speaker 2: of them. I completely agree, Lisa. Now let's move on.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Former Quantus CEO Alan Joyce is back well in a
- 4:08Speaker 2: new role of sorts, and I've got to say this
- 4:10Speaker 2: one is unsurprising. He's now a climate grifter. You heard
- 4:14Speaker 2: that correct. He's told the Australian Aviation Summit that Australia's
- 4:18Speaker 2: airlines risk becoming national parias unless they agree to a
- 4:22Speaker 2: climate pack to preserve their trust, regulatory standing and social license.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Ge Nick I really enjoyed it when when Alpen Joyce
- 4:29Speaker 2: was completely out of the public spotlight altogether. But he's
- 4:32Speaker 2: always been an activist, hasn't he, And now he wants
- 4:35Speaker 2: to save the world via an airline climate packs.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Sure it will become international parizes if we don't. I
- 4:41Speaker 1: think the problem with the Quantus's reputation is just getting
- 4:44Speaker 1: the bags out on time and getting planes to land
- 4:46Speaker 1: on time. And to stop that welcomed to country nuts.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I mean I called a nation airline reason. I won't
- 4:54Speaker 1: tell you which it was. It wasn't particularly good, but
- 4:56Speaker 1: it was so much better than Quantus, purely for the
- 4:59Speaker 1: fact that we landed at the airport. We didn't get that,
- 5:02Speaker 1: so no he did. I'm going to say that Joyce
- 5:05Speaker 1: did some very good things for quantas. He sustained it
- 5:09Speaker 1: at a time when a lot of national airlines disappeared,
- 5:12Speaker 1: and I give him credit for that, but this is
- 5:15Speaker 1: just not going to help the airline industry whatsoever to
- 5:18Speaker 1: push them into some unproven technology that's not being tested
- 5:23Speaker 1: at scale, and I, for moments won't be getting on
- 5:26Speaker 1: a plane if they put this stuff in until they
- 5:28Speaker 1: thuboughly tested it.
- 5:29Speaker 2: No, God, no, I've been jay, as I said Lisa,
- 5:32Speaker 2: I enjoyed it when Alan Joyce wasn't dictating, which active
- 5:35Speaker 2: is an efforts to take control of day by day.
- 5:38Speaker 2: But what do you make of his latest intervention to
- 5:40Speaker 2: save the planet.
- 5:43Speaker 9: Well, Deniker, it's not the first time we're going to
- 5:45Speaker 9: hear him up on the stage, and he's now listed
- 5:47Speaker 9: as a public speaker, a guest speaker, a keynote speaker,
- 5:50Speaker 9: so we will hear a lot more from Alan Joyce
- 5:52Speaker 9: as he works around or flies around at that circuit.
- 5:54Speaker 9: But look, here's a man, as Nick said, that has
- 5:57Speaker 9: a questionable history when it comes to what he did
- 6:00Speaker 9: to Quantas by the end of his term there on Monday.
- 6:03Speaker 9: The timing of this speech is interesting. Friday, we'll hear
- 6:05Speaker 9: from him on Monday. We're expecting a decision to come
- 6:08Speaker 9: out around his and your decision to outsourced workers, and
- 6:11Speaker 9: potentially if the union gets its way, Quitus could be
- 6:14Speaker 9: facing more than a two hundred million dollar fine in
- 6:16Speaker 9: relation to what happened underneath Joyce's leadership. So look, he's
- 6:21Speaker 9: an interesting character to watch. I don't think we all
- 6:23Speaker 9: want to see him out there now instead of being
- 6:24Speaker 9: a moral crusader, out there as a climate crusader.
- 6:27Speaker 4: But watch this space because that's exactly what we're going
- 6:29Speaker 4: to call.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Yeah, good point actually about that, you know that there's
- 6:32Speaker 2: still ramifications from all those quantus decisions that were made
- 6:35Speaker 2: under his leadership. So yeah, one to watch out for
- 6:38Speaker 2: as well. Good point. Now, one in three Indigenous corporations
- 6:42Speaker 2: are staggering. One than two hundred and fifty four of
- 6:46Speaker 2: them have failed to file legal reports for the twenty
- 6:49Speaker 2: twenty three twenty four financial year. That would you back
- 6:52Speaker 2: in December. That includes twenty six groups with a turnover
- 6:57Speaker 2: of more than five million dollars geenick, we'd some massive
- 7:01Speaker 2: amount of money and more than twelve hundred groups involved here.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Surely there needs to be some sort of an ordered.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Course I do. I mean, there's the scope for a
- 7:09Speaker 1: corruption that in a system that's run like that is appalling.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I think the very least they should be accounting for this,
- 7:16Speaker 1: But I think they should be accounting not just for
- 7:18Speaker 1: the money, but for what they've done for Aboriginal people,
- 7:22Speaker 1: how much they've improved their lives. Because we know that
- 7:25Speaker 1: the closing the gap measure doesn't never seem to close,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and yet we put a lot of money into organizations
- 7:32Speaker 1: like the Land Councils to look after Aboriginal people. They're
- 7:36Speaker 1: clearly not doing their job in my view, in a
- 7:40Speaker 1: broad sense.
- 7:41Speaker 2: No, I agree. I'd love to know what the outcomes
- 7:43Speaker 2: are when you're racking up but millions and millions of dollars.
- 7:47Speaker 2: But Lisa, I just think as taxpayers we have a
- 7:50Speaker 2: right to know where our money is being spent.
- 7:54Speaker 4: We absolutely have a right to know.
- 7:56Speaker 9: And there will be people out there who will say
- 7:58Speaker 9: you're racist because you're picking on Pigenous organizations. It's not
- 8:01Speaker 9: about targeting Indigenous organizations. It's about targeting organizations that, as
- 8:06Speaker 9: you say, have been given taxpayer money and where is
- 8:09Speaker 9: that money going? And mord Nick's point, what are the
- 8:11Speaker 9: deliverables in this? Because right now, if you're calling for
- 8:14Speaker 9: an audit and we actually dig into the books and
- 8:16Speaker 9: find out where this money is being spent, ultimately what
- 8:19Speaker 9: you were doing of protecting the people that money is
- 8:22Speaker 9: meant to be helping, because you have to question whether
- 8:24Speaker 9: it's actually getting through to them. I think three out
- 8:27Speaker 9: of thirteen recommendations when it comes to closing the gap
- 8:30Speaker 9: are meant to be met. They think only four of
- 8:32Speaker 9: those will be met by twenty thirty one. So the
- 8:34Speaker 9: money is going out, but what is exactly is it
- 8:36Speaker 9: delivering and especially to the people in those communities.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Exactly spot on, and more than twelve hundred businesses here
- 8:42Speaker 2: failing to properly put forward that the correct documentation. Just
- 8:46Speaker 2: it baffles me how something like this happens. Now, this
- 8:49Speaker 2: really is a very very bothersome story. Victorian school children
- 8:53Speaker 2: as young as five will now be taught that their
- 8:56Speaker 2: body parts may not match their gender and that biology
- 9:00Speaker 2: male students who identify as female are entitled to play
- 9:04Speaker 2: sports on girls teams. I mean, seriously, where are we
- 9:07Speaker 2: heading to now? This is part of an update to
- 9:09Speaker 2: the state's Respectful Relationships curriculum. Apparently here was the premier.
- 9:14Speaker 10: I back the respect for Relationships program and the curriculum
- 9:18Speaker 10: that is all about protecting kids, strengthening resilience of kids,
- 9:23Speaker 10: and supporting kids to be who they are.
- 9:25Speaker 4: That's just nonsense.
- 9:27Speaker 10: It's disgraceful nonsense. Like seriously, this sort of ongoing attack
- 9:34Speaker 10: on a program that is making a difference in kids'
- 9:38Speaker 10: lives just should be stopped.
- 9:40Speaker 4: It should be stopped.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Ah, look where to start neck a big endorsement.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Yeah, well I've got to disappoint the premiere because I'm
- 9:49Speaker 1: going to join the ongoing attack she's so worried about.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Look this is it's just atrocious when you think of
- 9:54Speaker 1: kids of five. I mean, I had kids, I had grandkids.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I've been five. Just to think that they were going
- 9:59Speaker 1: to school and taught that it's confusing, it's very distressing,
- 10:05Speaker 1: and it's considerably distorting their minds to do to that age.
- 10:08Speaker 1: There's no reason why you need to do it anyway.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I mean, as I understand, dysmorphia, genuine dysmorphia that is
- 10:14Speaker 1: very apparent in a child at a young age. It's
- 10:17Speaker 1: a very rare condition, but it is very apparent from
- 10:20Speaker 1: what I've read. So you don't need to be telling
- 10:22Speaker 1: kids about stuff that's going to worry them about like
- 10:25Speaker 1: this at that age. Indeed, I don't think you should
- 10:27Speaker 1: be really telling them at all at school and let
- 10:29Speaker 1: them decide who they are and let them, you know,
- 10:32Speaker 1: identify as the gender in which they were born, unless
- 10:36Speaker 1: a distress flag comes up and says otherwise, which, as
- 10:38Speaker 1: I say, is very very rare. So this is all activism,
- 10:41Speaker 1: isn't It's entirely the activist class using the classroom to
- 10:46Speaker 1: further a cause. And it's disgraceful well as.
- 10:48Speaker 2: A brainwashing the next generation. And that is what concerns
- 10:51Speaker 2: me the most out of all of this layer. And
- 10:52Speaker 2: you're a parent yourself, at nick is how worrying is
- 10:56Speaker 2: this that this sort of nonsense is filtering into the
- 10:59Speaker 2: correct and as a parent, you can't do anything about it.
- 11:04Speaker 9: And I think that's the main point. You send your
- 11:06Speaker 9: children to school. You don't expect this to be shoved
- 11:08Speaker 9: down their throat. And look at the age of five,
- 11:10Speaker 9: they don't know their times tables. There are more important
- 11:12Speaker 9: things to be teaching these kids than to know that
- 11:15Speaker 9: you can look down and well that actually isn't what
- 11:17Speaker 9: your gender is. We spend enough time as parents, you know,
- 11:20Speaker 9: walking our children through discussions about your personal safety and
- 11:24Speaker 9: your body. We don't need teachers crossing the line into
- 11:26Speaker 9: what our job is as a mother or a father.
- 11:29Speaker 9: Or as a family and leading them through this. As
- 11:31Speaker 9: I said, the talk is that it's basically a pipeline
- 11:34Speaker 9: now from classrooms into decisions that will ruin these kids'
- 11:38Speaker 9: lives if they make them.
- 11:39Speaker 4: So it's really dangerous.
- 11:40Speaker 9: And if that was happening at a school where my
- 11:42Speaker 9: children were going for it was happening in a state
- 11:44Speaker 9: where my children were going to school, I'd be up
- 11:46Speaker 9: in arms about that. And I'd be very surprised if
- 11:48Speaker 9: Victorian parents don't fight back on this one, because it
- 11:51Speaker 9: is just outrageous. And the question is how many parents
- 11:54Speaker 9: actually knew that was being taught to their children exactly?
- 11:58Speaker 2: And I wondered to say myself it was this the
- 12:00Speaker 2: case if it was exposed by the newspaper? Was this
- 12:02Speaker 2: the first time they'd heard about it. I just think
- 12:04Speaker 2: it's an absolute disgrace and just sin to Allen should
- 12:07Speaker 2: hang ahead in shame for those sorts of comments that
- 12:09Speaker 2: she made today as well. Now, look, defense officials in
- 12:12Speaker 2: Washington are demanding Australia match European NATO spending levels of
- 12:16Speaker 2: five percent of GDPs, saying Australia isn't spending anywhere near
- 12:21Speaker 2: enough to be entitled to even for Pillar one of
- 12:24Speaker 2: the Orchestel, which involves the US supplying at least three
- 12:28Speaker 2: nuclear powered Virginia class submarines to US. Nick, so another
- 12:32Speaker 2: ultimatum has been handed to us by the US. Are
- 12:36Speaker 2: they unconvinced by this labor government.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I think they probably are. We know the facts, and
- 12:41Speaker 1: Alberniezi has not had a meeting with the president, although
- 12:44Speaker 1: you have spoken to Mukmunda Bascle, so it's not as
- 12:47Speaker 1: if he's entirely cut off from the world. But here's
- 12:51Speaker 1: the point. We don't need America to tell us this.
- 12:52Speaker 1: We know what's happening in our own backyard. We know
- 12:56Speaker 1: how woeful the current state of our own defense forces,
- 12:59Speaker 1: lack of sub marine's, lack of ships, lack of intelligence,
- 13:02Speaker 1: lack of noose in using the new technologies of drones
- 13:05Speaker 1: and counter drone technology. We shouldn't need this nudge from
- 13:09Speaker 1: the United States to do it. We have to do it,
- 13:11Speaker 1: and I would have thought five percent is a very,
- 13:13Speaker 1: very sensible and reasonable goal given the size of economy
- 13:17Speaker 1: like ours.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I completely agree with you, and the problem is less.
- 13:20Speaker 2: We're just not playing borre on this issue. The US
- 13:23Speaker 2: has been warning us for months. We don't know what's
- 13:25Speaker 2: going to happen now with the Orcus agreement. As Nick mentioned,
- 13:28Speaker 2: the Prime minister still can't get a meeting with Donald Trump.
- 13:31Speaker 2: How detrimental do you think will it be if Labor
- 13:34Speaker 2: continue to bury their head in the sand.
- 13:38Speaker 9: Well, Labor just has his deaf ear to what the
- 13:40Speaker 9: US is saying. Over and over again. They're saying you
- 13:43Speaker 9: need to lift up the defense spending. Albanesi is completely
- 13:47Speaker 9: ignoring it has been quite steadfast and it to this
- 13:49Speaker 9: point and at what cost because we are waiting for
- 13:51Speaker 9: that review to come down into UCAS. Meanwhile, you've got
- 13:54Speaker 9: Alberanzi who is out there happy to flirt with Beijing,
- 13:56Speaker 9: happy to go out there and empower hermas, but won't
- 13:59Speaker 9: actually toe thel when it comes to what the US
- 14:01Speaker 9: are saying that we need. And if you think back
- 14:03Speaker 9: to World War Two, we relied on the US. We
- 14:05Speaker 9: relied on those friends becoming our lifeline. At what point
- 14:08Speaker 9: when you've got Richard Miles saying we have the biggest
- 14:10Speaker 9: military build up from China since World War Two, we
- 14:13Speaker 9: shouldn't be saying. You know what the US are saying
- 14:15Speaker 9: that for us to be part of this and have
- 14:17Speaker 9: their support, we need to lift our defense spending.
- 14:19Speaker 4: It's time for us to start listening.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I completely agree with you. I think it's so frightening
- 14:24Speaker 2: that our number one ally, we are clearly moving our
- 14:27Speaker 2: policy away from the United States very very quickly, and
- 14:30Speaker 2: it's a worry because we actually need the US for
- 14:33Speaker 2: security purposes. Now. Look, just finally at Melbourne, teenager Archie
- 14:37Speaker 2: Wilson has won over the US state of Nebraska after
- 14:40Speaker 2: breaking down during a pre season press conference before he
- 14:44Speaker 2: kicks off his college football career. Have a look.
- 14:47Speaker 8: So, what's it like being first time you're away from them? Yeah,
- 14:51Speaker 8: that part's hard. I mean, I'm sub sorry.
- 15:00Speaker 11: Yeah, I love it a lot. Yeah, I got two
- 15:14Speaker 11: little brothers in a moment. Yeah, that's the tough part
- 15:18Speaker 11: about being here. I love them a lot and I
- 15:20Speaker 11: missed them. But it's I mean, they know this is
- 15:23Speaker 11: what's best for me, and I can still talk to
- 15:26Speaker 11: them plenty of the phone, and they're coming here to
- 15:28Speaker 11: see the first first few games, so I'm looking forward
- 15:31Speaker 11: to that.
- 15:32Speaker 8: All right.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I've applaud him for his honesty. We're almost out of time,
- 15:34Speaker 2: But a quick answer from both of you, Nicky's homesick,
- 15:36Speaker 2: poor guy.
- 15:37Speaker 1: We all get emotional times. I feel sorry for the guy,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and to do it on television like that. A little
- 15:42Speaker 1: tip by the way, and a politician told me this one.
- 15:45Speaker 1: If you feel yourself about to tear up, use your tongue,
- 15:47Speaker 1: chickle the roof of your mouth.
- 15:49Speaker 2: It's a very quick actually, do you know what. I
- 15:52Speaker 2: can see how that would work, Lisa, I've been good
- 15:54Speaker 2: on him for his honesty.
- 15:55Speaker 9: I say, look, I think the tears will endear him
- 16:00Speaker 9: to the fans that he already has in that number
- 16:02Speaker 9: will swell if you look at what's happening on social media.
- 16:04Speaker 9: I expect he would become a favorite with the girls
- 16:06Speaker 9: because he actually shows.
- 16:07Speaker 4: He has a heart and he isn't scared to cry.
- 16:09Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I feel like this is just the beginning for him.
- 16:11Speaker 8: Me.
- 16:11Speaker 2: He's got a huge career ahead, Lisa got Nick Kaita.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Great to see you both, Thanks so much for joining
- 16:15Speaker 2: me on the show. Well, media around the world and
- 16:19Speaker 2: at home are being hoodwinked by Hamas propaganda, believing the
- 16:23Speaker 2: lies being peddled out of Gaza from the terror group.
- 16:26Speaker 2: One example is a death of our Jazeira journalist Onas
- 16:29Speaker 2: al Sharif this week. Now the IDF claims the journalist
- 16:32Speaker 2: was the head of a Hummas terrorist cell and advanced
- 16:35Speaker 2: rocket attacks on Israeli civilians and IDF troops. It's since
- 16:40Speaker 2: published intelligence and documents from Gaza, including rosters, terrorist training lists,
- 16:45Speaker 2: and salary records, to prove that he was a Hamas
- 16:49Speaker 2: operative integrated into our Jazira Now. The journal has also
- 16:54Speaker 2: previously posed in photos with now dead Hamas leader Yaya Sinhwa.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It's worth noting that OL Jazeera, by the way, is
- 17:02Speaker 2: funded in part by Kuta, which has funded Hamas. Yet
- 17:07Speaker 2: news of the journalist's deaths spread around the world, with
- 17:10Speaker 2: headlines like this from the ABC Israel kills Al Jazeera
- 17:13Speaker 2: journalists in Gaza airstrike. The IDx claims that he was
- 17:18Speaker 2: working for Hamas just seemingly weren't even considered.
- 17:22Speaker 13: Israel did target journalists in this case, didn't it.
- 17:25Speaker 14: This was the office of Ol Jazeera, which had others
- 17:28Speaker 14: in it.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It was a tent.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Joining me now for more on this is Sky News
- 17:32Speaker 2: contributor Kel Richards Kel good to see you. Thank you
- 17:34Speaker 2: for joining me. I mean it's not just this and me.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Media around the world have been even quoting the Palestinian
- 17:40Speaker 2: Health Ministry for years now and they are run by Hamas.
- 17:44Speaker 2: But why do you think that the ABC has become
- 17:47Speaker 2: so far to the left.
- 17:49Speaker 15: It's a public broadcasting organization, so that the staff always
- 17:53Speaker 15: had a bit of an inclination to be towards the left.
- 17:55Speaker 16: But people have.
- 17:56Speaker 15: Got to remember it wasn't always like this. I've done
- 18:00Speaker 15: twenty five years at the ABC, which is about half
- 18:02Speaker 15: my journalistic career, not in a row.
- 18:05Speaker 16: I used to.
- 18:05Speaker 15: I'd go from the commercials to the ABC and backwards
- 18:07Speaker 15: and forth. So over that long period of time, I've
- 18:10Speaker 15: seen the change. When I went there, we had an
- 18:13Speaker 15: induction course and they said ABC staff never express opinions.
- 18:18Speaker 15: That was the rule, and it had applied and the
- 18:21Speaker 15: ABC genuinely was impartial and objective. What change was when
- 18:24Speaker 15: the ABC took up a website and they had to
- 18:27Speaker 15: fill lots of pages on the website. Then there was
- 18:30Speaker 15: a decision made at management level to say to staff
- 18:33Speaker 15: write opinion pieces. And suddenly that they just threw the
- 18:37Speaker 15: switch from you won't express opinions if you're on our staff.
- 18:40Speaker 16: To yes, yes, yes, do a lot of opinions.
- 18:42Speaker 15: That decision that through the switch, that was the tipping
- 18:46Speaker 15: point and they did it at a bad time because
- 18:48Speaker 15: the other thing that was happening was the left wing
- 18:50Speaker 15: around the world was becoming more belligerent and more intolerant.
- 18:55Speaker 15: So let's not soft lift anymore. It's now hard lift.
- 18:58Speaker 15: If you don't agree with us, you are not just wrong,
- 19:00Speaker 15: you are evil. So that's what happened to the ABC.
- 19:04Speaker 15: They made a decision to encourage staff to start expressing opinions.
- 19:08Speaker 15: It's been disastrous ever since, but.
- 19:11Speaker 2: In particular right now with this demonization of Israel, why
- 19:15Speaker 2: is it so difficult for the left to not consider
- 19:19Speaker 2: that Israel's actually fighting for its own survival.
- 19:22Speaker 15: Because what happened in the left was they used to
- 19:25Speaker 15: be soft they used to be socialists and you know,
- 19:27Speaker 15: you look after poor people and that kind of thing.
- 19:29Speaker 15: It's been totally captured by Marxist thinking. So now the
- 19:32Speaker 15: left thinks there's only two groups of people in the world.
- 19:35Speaker 15: There are oppressors and oppressed. That comes from Karl Marx,
- 19:38Speaker 15: That's where it comes from. That was his big social analysis,
- 19:41Speaker 15: and it's wrong. Society is not like that. Society is
- 19:44Speaker 15: far more complex than that. But if you buy into
- 19:47Speaker 15: that delusion, into that fairy tale, you've got to look
- 19:50Speaker 15: at every story and say, who are the oppressors?
- 19:52Speaker 16: Who are there? You've got to pick a side, So
- 19:55Speaker 16: on the.
- 19:55Speaker 15: Basis of their oppressors and oppressed, we will pick the
- 19:58Speaker 15: side off I know the palacetine. They are the oppressed.
- 20:01Speaker 15: So whoever's oppressing them, they have to be terrible villains.
- 20:05Speaker 15: We can't believe anything they say and we have to
- 20:07Speaker 15: criticize them the whole time. It's this bifurcated Marxist thinking
- 20:12Speaker 15: which has captured the global lift and because the ABC
- 20:15Speaker 15: is part of that, captured the ABC exactly.
- 20:18Speaker 2: And I also think it's very dangerous when your own
- 20:20Speaker 2: ideology has been brought into your workplace, when you're a
- 20:23Speaker 2: taxpayer funded organization. The boss is saying do it, you know,
- 20:26Speaker 2: and the bosses say do it. And that's half and
- 20:28Speaker 2: that is half the battle. Now, look, I want to
- 20:30Speaker 2: ask you about this. The ABC has been ridiculed for
- 20:32Speaker 2: publishing an article claiming the use of gas fired boilers
- 20:36Speaker 2: to heat public swimming pools in Melbourne was contributing to
- 20:39Speaker 2: a rise and the city's carbon output. Now the public
- 20:42Speaker 2: broadcaster has taken aim and a number of inner city
- 20:45Speaker 2: Melbourne councils, saying as temperatures plummet in winter, heating community
- 20:50Speaker 2: pools came at an environmental cost, and that the use
- 20:53Speaker 2: of gas five boilers were making up as much as
- 20:56Speaker 2: half of local councils greenhouse gas emissions. I mean, give
- 20:59Speaker 2: me a seriously kel So they've singled out Darrabin Council
- 21:03Speaker 2: here in particular. But the premise of this is that
- 21:06Speaker 2: they're saying that swimming pools are now the enemy.
- 21:08Speaker 16: Yeah, look, it's bizarre.
- 21:10Speaker 15: But apart from the fact it's Victoria and its winter,
- 21:14Speaker 15: unless they're heated, you can't swim. I mean, you've got
- 21:17Speaker 15: to be realistic, but do the maths. Australia puts out
- 21:20Speaker 15: something like one point three percent of the world's carbon
- 21:22Speaker 15: dioxide emissions. Daribin City Council puts out what percentage of
- 21:27Speaker 15: our one point three percent? You couldn't measure it, it would
- 21:29Speaker 15: be so small.
- 21:30Speaker 16: So it is ludicrous.
- 21:32Speaker 15: But if you believe delusions, then you do step into
- 21:36Speaker 15: the totally ludicrous.
- 21:37Speaker 16: It is Alice in Wonderland stuff.
- 21:39Speaker 2: It's really it's like they're trying to make a story
- 21:42Speaker 2: out of nothing, out of a fairy tale.
- 21:44Speaker 16: That's right.
- 21:45Speaker 15: So any carbon dioxide emissions have got to be so evil,
- 21:49Speaker 15: You've got to really get But it's just that makes
- 21:52Speaker 15: no logical sense whatsoever. At some point common sense has
- 21:55Speaker 15: to come into it. Can I give you a definition
- 21:57Speaker 15: of common sense? Common sense is how things are, and
- 22:01Speaker 15: they will not look at how things are instead of
- 22:03Speaker 15: what they've got, this fantasy thing that a tiny amount
- 22:06Speaker 15: from Darrebin's gas is going to destroy the pup place.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Yes, so swimming pools. If you're watching at home and
- 22:12Speaker 2: you want to take a deep but shame on you.
- 22:15Speaker 2: You are contributing to climate change.
- 22:17Speaker 8: Not good.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Now, Look, the ABC did not even bother covering the
- 22:20Speaker 2: Giggle Versus Tickle appeal case last week. That's, of course
- 22:23Speaker 2: that what is a woman case where founder of Giggle
- 22:26Speaker 2: for Girls app Salgrover, was found to have discriminated against
- 22:30Speaker 2: biological man Rock sand Tickle for booting Tickle out of
- 22:32Speaker 2: the female only platform. Yet the ABC found the time
- 22:36Speaker 2: to publish this. Tam and Bobby Adventures take them from
- 22:39Speaker 2: anti trans Florida to Tiny rappn'yup, a town in regional Victoria.
- 22:44Speaker 2: The story is about a trans woman and their partner
- 22:46Speaker 2: who have settled into the town, claiming it is inclusive
- 22:50Speaker 2: for gender diverse people. So you know, they didn't want
- 22:53Speaker 2: to cover giggle versus tickle help, but they were happy
- 22:56Speaker 2: to cover this little puff piece.
- 22:58Speaker 15: Why well, the bit that they were saying was good
- 23:02Speaker 15: is simply normal Australian.
- 23:03Speaker 16: Australians are relaxed.
- 23:04Speaker 15: We don't get here, we mix, we don't know what
- 23:06Speaker 15: you think, we don't care what you think you are.
- 23:08Speaker 15: You're if we think you're a bit eccentric, that's okay,
- 23:11Speaker 15: We'll still be nice and we'll still get on. That's
- 23:12Speaker 15: what they found in this little country town Australianism. But
- 23:16Speaker 15: what the ABC is? Can I say the unsayable?
- 23:19Speaker 2: Please, please do it.
- 23:20Speaker 15: Bobby is not a woman. I'm sorry, Bobby is not
- 23:23Speaker 15: a woman. Bobby was born with x Y chromosomes. Bobby
- 23:27Speaker 15: still has x y chromosomes. And they've got to play
- 23:30Speaker 15: this pretense of if we can make this up into
- 23:32Speaker 15: a nice story, then that will justify I know, boys
- 23:36Speaker 15: going into girls, changing rooms and playing all that kind
- 23:39Speaker 15: of thing. So the trans lobby is really aggressive. The ABC,
- 23:43Speaker 15: by the way, has as a newsletter service called ABC Queer,
- 23:46Speaker 15: which is just to ingratiate themselves with that particular community.
- 23:51Speaker 15: So I just take it as part of their ideology
- 23:55Speaker 15: that we only look at the world in terms of
- 23:57Speaker 15: oppressors and oppressed, and we've decided these people areppresed. We're
- 24:00Speaker 15: on their side, and we're against everyone who disagrees.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it goes back to your exact point earlier. It's
- 24:05Speaker 2: an absolute disgrace. Oh well, another fun week over at
- 24:08Speaker 2: the Public Broadcaster. As always, Cal Richard's good to see they.
- 24:11Speaker 16: Paid for with our billion.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Great with our money exactly, I may want more apparently,
- 24:15Speaker 2: there you go, Cal, good to see. Thank you so
- 24:17Speaker 2: much for joining me. Still to come, lefties losing it? Plus,
- 24:21Speaker 2: Donald Trump threatens Russia with very severe consequences if Vladimir
- 24:26Speaker 2: Putin does not agree to end the war in Ukraine.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Army Horowitz will join me next. Now it is time
- 24:43Speaker 2: for lefties losing it, starting with a PSA for MAGA
- 24:47Speaker 2: supporters in Washington, d C. This dipstick is coming for.
- 24:51Speaker 17: Our I'm leaving my kids, my family, my house, my job,
- 24:55Speaker 17: my cat, and everything else. Just you drive to DC
- 24:58Speaker 17: right now, I think from Michigan to Washington, d C.
- 25:03Speaker 17: Because Petal forty seven is a piece of and I'm
- 25:07Speaker 17: going to stick up for my fellow citizens.
- 25:10Speaker 11: So thank you, Maga.
- 25:12Speaker 12: I'm on my way to DC.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Not the cat, please, not the cat. So so brave,
- 25:18Speaker 2: isn't he? Well here's an idea. Maybe he can link
- 25:20Speaker 2: up with this guy.
- 25:22Speaker 18: Well, I'm doing it. I've had enough. I'm going to
- 25:27Speaker 18: head for DC. Got almost up, packed up now coming
- 25:35Speaker 18: back until we get some meaningful teamed Uh how about
- 25:42Speaker 18: you joined me. I'm gonna take a couple of weeks
- 25:44Speaker 18: to get there. Let's see what we can do if
- 25:50Speaker 18: we all meet up together.
- 25:52Speaker 2: What are they gonna do when they get down there?
- 25:54Speaker 2: That's actually what I would like to know. What are
- 25:57Speaker 2: their plans? Well, you know what this TD suffer has
- 26:00Speaker 2: an idea.
- 26:01Speaker 4: He thomp is basically taking over DC.
- 26:04Speaker 15: Hello, is anybody out there?
- 26:05Speaker 4: Is anybody in this thing?
- 26:07Speaker 1: There's going to come a point where everybody realizes that
- 26:09Speaker 1: there's no one coming to save us.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Democrats are not going to be in a save us.
- 26:12Speaker 12: The only thing you can do, it's massive resistance in
- 26:16Speaker 12: the streets.
- 26:17Speaker 2: A massive resistance to what to Laura, in order to
- 26:20Speaker 2: tackling homelessness, I mean the left, that's just tedious insaying,
- 26:23Speaker 2: aren't they now it's a Democratic nominee for New York
- 26:27Speaker 2: mayor Zoran Mendanni, who has officially been given the kiss
- 26:31Speaker 2: of death in this election day. I'm on my way
- 26:36Speaker 2: to vote.
- 26:37Speaker 5: I don't feel that I have ever been more excited
- 26:40Speaker 5: to vote for anyone than I am to vote for
- 26:42Speaker 5: Sauran Mamdani.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I've got my button, I'm not mine.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Don't rank Cuomo T shirt that I have the kids
- 26:49Speaker 5: because I'm going to a polling site. We have a
- 26:51Speaker 5: chance to make sure that our corrupt, sexual, harassing trump
- 27:00Speaker 5: donor supported for disgraced former.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Governor is not elected mayor of New York. Yes, ladies
- 27:08Speaker 2: and gentlemen, the defeated, broken, and severely underwhelming Cynthia Nixon
- 27:13Speaker 2: is manning the booths for Zoran. Dear God, you know
- 27:16Speaker 2: who I'm talking about. You, the musician turned a political activist,
- 27:21Speaker 2: turned financial counselor turned candidate for New York mayor. Have
- 27:25Speaker 2: I have I missed anything else from Zoran's everything but nothing? Resume?
- 27:29Speaker 2: Actually I forgot he was also a rapper. He was
- 27:32Speaker 2: a rapper. How could I forget his illustrious career moonlighting?
- 27:36Speaker 2: Is young Cardiman?
- 27:39Speaker 12: Go ahead for your navy?
- 27:51Speaker 2: Get it so impressive? A real star candidate? I mean,
- 27:54Speaker 2: is there anything that this man has not done? He
- 27:57Speaker 2: can even cry on Q.
- 28:00Speaker 12: The're not Mark Zupper.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Book, So Mark Superbird gets to buy another high.
- 28:07Speaker 17: I trang to hold in a cough and I.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Oh, I like bring this out and likely yeah, look,
- 28:22Speaker 2: i'd probably cry too if I had to sit on
- 28:24Speaker 2: a park bench with Elizabeth Warren. Now, can anyone please
- 28:28Speaker 2: decode this gender confusion for me?
- 28:32Speaker 3: So I'm not a girl, but I do have a girlfriend.
- 28:34Speaker 3: But my girlfriend really isn't like a girl. So that's
- 28:37Speaker 3: why I call them my boyfriend and they call me
- 28:40Speaker 3: their boyfriend. But I'm not really like a boy really,
- 28:44Speaker 3: so yeah, but we're both kind of like lesbians, but
- 28:47Speaker 3: we're not really girls like that. And I kind of
- 28:50Speaker 3: like boys too, So does that make sense?
- 28:53Speaker 2: Gee? That must be absolutely exhausting trying to figure it
- 28:56Speaker 2: out every day, whether you're a boy or a girl
- 28:58Speaker 2: or a few like a woman or a man. That's
- 29:01Speaker 2: probably one of the most challenging debarcles of our time,
- 29:04Speaker 2: I'd say, And now look out, JK. Rowling.
- 29:08Speaker 6: I can live about Harry Potters that trans kids can't
- 29:11Speaker 6: live about transitioning.
- 29:13Speaker 3: So you're not going to be checking out the new
- 29:14Speaker 3: Harry Potty series on HEGXBO no cut.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I have completely abandoned it.
- 29:20Speaker 4: I have put all the gifts I've got for the.
- 29:22Speaker 11: Last like twenty or so years into savach and I'm.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Thinking of selling them to make's money for trans charity.
- 29:29Speaker 2: It's just a spike mau sift ah jay. That's really
- 29:32Speaker 2: going to put a real dent in Harry Potter sales worldwide,
- 29:36Speaker 2: isn't it? And now look who has popped their sad
- 29:39Speaker 2: little head up again. It's none other than the pathetic
- 29:41Speaker 2: little gremlin herself, Greta Thunberg and her merry band of
- 29:45Speaker 2: nose ringed hippies. Old is watching.
- 29:50Speaker 8: Pray paasda.
- 29:52Speaker 19: Free pre patas done, free, pre patas done, Pray pree
- 30:01Speaker 19: pre parlersdime.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Isn't it good to see that she's moved on from
- 30:07Speaker 2: the climate change hoax and is dedicated her life's work
- 30:11Speaker 2: now to wearing a kefier and screaming on stage. Well,
- 30:16Speaker 2: Donald Trump has threatened very severe consequences for Russia if
- 30:20Speaker 2: President Vladimir Putin does not agree to end the war
- 30:23Speaker 2: in Ukraine after their meeting in Alaska on Friday.
- 30:27Speaker 16: Yes they will. What will the wills there?
- 30:32Speaker 20: Will be I don't have to say there will be
- 30:33Speaker 20: very severe consequences.
- 30:35Speaker 16: Yes.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Meanwhile, Ukraine President Vladimir Zelenski says there is no sign
- 30:39Speaker 2: that Russia is preparing to end the war.
- 30:42Speaker 15: I told my colleagues and the United States presidents and
- 30:45Speaker 15: my European friends that Putin doesn't want peace, he wants
- 30:49Speaker 15: to occupy our country.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Joining me now is filmmaker and commentator Army Horowitz. Army,
- 30:54Speaker 2: good to see you as always. So look a bit
- 30:56Speaker 2: of tit for tat already in anticipation of this big meeting.
- 31:00Speaker 2: But there's a lot riding on it, isn't there.
- 31:04Speaker 12: Yeah, of course, right. I mean this is a war
- 31:07Speaker 12: that has preoccupied the world for years and continues right
- 31:13Speaker 12: now with massive losses on both sides. Look, just let
- 31:17Speaker 12: Trump cook, right, I mean, he does things his way.
- 31:21Speaker 12: I'm out of the business of criticizing his style. It's
- 31:25Speaker 12: just what he does. Yet, even though he has criticized
- 31:29Speaker 12: and he has threatened Putin repeatedly, you still see the
- 31:34Speaker 12: media trying to frame this as as him being overly
- 31:38Speaker 12: conciliatory toward Putin. Right, Even the Washington Post and FT
- 31:43Speaker 12: and others and CNN have literally compared this moment to
- 31:47Speaker 12: Churchill to the Munich conference. Right, it's absolutely despicable. Do
- 31:51Speaker 12: I have to remind everybody every single time of Trump's
- 31:55Speaker 12: bona fides when it comes to defending Ukraine and fighting
- 31:58Speaker 12: back against Russia, Right, I mean his the greatest hits.
- 32:01Speaker 12: I mean the man. First of all, the man killed
- 32:04Speaker 12: Russian soldiers in Syria. Right, Literally, he drilled baby drill,
- 32:10Speaker 12: drove down energy prices across the globe, putting a serious,
- 32:15Speaker 12: serious beating on the Russian economy. He increased sanctions, he
- 32:19Speaker 12: sold the first president sell offensive weapons, actual weapons to Ukraine.
- 32:25Speaker 12: And by the way, oh by the way, do we
- 32:29Speaker 12: not remember that food invaded Ukraine twice, once under Obama
- 32:34Speaker 12: and once under Biden, you know which presidency. He didn't
- 32:36Speaker 12: invade Ukraine under Donald Trump. So yeah, let's just let
- 32:40Speaker 12: the man do his thing and let's see what happens.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I completely agree with you. Look, you know, he knows
- 32:45Speaker 2: the art of a deal. He's a professional businessman. Let's
- 32:48Speaker 2: sit back, see what happens. We're all very much watching
- 32:51Speaker 2: in anticipation. Now, Army, the left wing media, they're having
- 32:54Speaker 2: a total freak out, no surprises over Donald Trump's crime
- 32:58Speaker 2: response in Washington, DC. But some liberals are actually backing it.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Have a listen to CNN commentatort Se Cupp, who's actually
- 33:06Speaker 2: a frequent critique of Trump. The numbers can be what
- 33:10Speaker 2: they are.
- 33:11Speaker 13: But also people don't feel that way.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And when it comes to two things, crime in the economy,
- 33:15Speaker 2: feelings don't really care about your facts.
- 33:17Speaker 4: And I can't tell you how profoundly stupid.
- 33:19Speaker 14: It is for Democrats to get up with their facts
- 33:22Speaker 14: and their figures and their charts in the.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Graphs and say, look, you're safe.
- 33:26Speaker 12: Can't you read this chart?
- 33:27Speaker 16: Idiots?
- 33:28Speaker 13: Why are you complaining?
- 33:29Speaker 2: I'm showing you right here how safe you are, So shut.
- 33:32Speaker 8: Up and move along.
- 33:33Speaker 2: And Joe Scarborough on msn BA say he also backed it.
- 33:37Speaker 2: I mean, have these liberals finally come to their senses?
- 33:40Speaker 2: Do you think?
- 33:42Speaker 12: No?
- 33:43Speaker 1: Not at all.
- 33:45Speaker 12: Yeah, you give it too much credit. Yeah, of course
- 33:48Speaker 12: there are a couple of examples on them, but overall
- 33:50Speaker 12: you continue to see this freak out across major media
- 33:54Speaker 12: for this. Look, Deny Gatto, do you know but in
- 33:57Speaker 12: America our states have state mottos on license plates, right.
- 34:04Speaker 12: My favorite one is New Hampshire, Live for or Die,
- 34:07Speaker 12: and my very close. Number two is DC on their
- 34:11Speaker 12: license plate has taxation without representation. Love it look, but
- 34:17Speaker 12: it does speak to the issue we're talking about d C.
- 34:20Speaker 12: Like I'm a believer, generally, I tend to air for
- 34:25Speaker 12: state rights over federal rights. Right, that's just kind of
- 34:27Speaker 12: the way built the way I look at the Constitution
- 34:30Speaker 12: and how this and how this US country has been built.
- 34:35Speaker 12: But here's the thing. DC is not a state constitutionally speak,
- 34:39Speaker 12: it's a district of Columbia. It doesn't have a vote.
- 34:42Speaker 12: That's the way. It is under the purview of the
- 34:45Speaker 12: federal government. So so Donald Trump is well within his
- 34:48Speaker 12: rights to take this action in Washington, d C. Now
- 34:52Speaker 12: that's legally, but should he look DC is a problem,
- 34:56Speaker 12: Like I know that the media is trying to contort
- 34:58Speaker 12: themselves into trying to twist the numbers and say there's
- 35:01Speaker 12: no problem. Anyone who's been in DC knows just from
- 35:05Speaker 12: the eye test, there is a significant problem in washingt DC,
- 35:08Speaker 12: just anecdotally. But even if you take their statistics on
- 35:13Speaker 12: face value, and by the way, I don't necessarily do
- 35:14Speaker 12: that because there's a lot of controversy on crime statistics
- 35:18Speaker 12: in big blue cities where they actually reclassify crime as
- 35:21Speaker 12: lower crimes, they don't count as the heavy crimes. But
- 35:24Speaker 12: even if you took their numbers on face value, yes
- 35:27Speaker 12: there's been a bit of a dip. But today today
- 35:30Speaker 12: we're talking about a city that has twice the homicide
- 35:34Speaker 12: death of Bogota, Columbia, which I was there a couple
- 35:38Speaker 12: of months ago. It is a horrific, terrible city, twice
- 35:42Speaker 12: the murder rate, and by the way, it has five
- 35:45Speaker 12: times a murder rate of the US in general. So
- 35:47Speaker 12: there's obviously a problem there that has to be dealt
- 35:50Speaker 12: with the media refuses to acknowledge that because then you
- 35:53Speaker 12: have you get to a larger problem of well, who's
- 35:55Speaker 12: coming the crimes and is this becoming a whole racist
- 35:58Speaker 12: thing like That's that bring us into their trying of
- 36:01Speaker 12: like they always do, to use race to hide what
- 36:05Speaker 12: they want to do. Look, I think the problem is
- 36:08Speaker 12: that it's going to increase the Democrats motivation to try
- 36:12Speaker 12: to make DC state not difficult but not impossible. We
- 36:16Speaker 12: should give them another another vote, another senator, another congressman,
- 36:22Speaker 12: another two senators, another congressman in Congress, which obviously be
- 36:26Speaker 12: a problem and look solving crimes. Denika is not really
- 36:30Speaker 12: that difficult. Don't be permissive and prosecute crimes. There we
- 36:34Speaker 12: solved it.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's actually as simple as that. No, look spot
- 36:38Speaker 2: on the But I do agree, I do. I think
- 36:39Speaker 2: this means that all the lefties have come to their
- 36:41Speaker 2: senses just yet. Now look at New York City Democratic
- 36:44Speaker 2: Meyrill nominee Zoran ma'm dami has maintained a strong lead
- 36:49Speaker 2: in the race. According to a recent Siena poll of
- 36:52Speaker 2: registered voters, ma'am Dani is polling at forty four percent.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who's running as an independent, is
- 36:59Speaker 2: at twenty five percent, Curtis Sliwa at twelve and incumbent
- 37:03Speaker 2: Mayor Eric Adams sitting at seven percent. What do you
- 37:06Speaker 2: make of this, Ahmi.
- 37:10Speaker 12: It's a problem, I make it's a real problem. I mean, yeah,
- 37:13Speaker 12: Eric Adams at seven percent, that was a real shocker
- 37:16Speaker 12: and a real significant problem if you want to try
- 37:18Speaker 12: to get Cuomo aud like, the only way to try
- 37:20Speaker 12: to even possibly win this is get Cuomo out of
- 37:22Speaker 12: the race. But Cuomo now has the argument saying I'm
- 37:26Speaker 12: the one who's done. I'm more than three times Eric Adams. Look,
- 37:30Speaker 12: here's the problem. Even with all that dropping out not
- 37:33Speaker 12: dropping out, it might not even make a difference. Look,
- 37:35Speaker 12: I was told by your producers, Dadika, that there wouldn't
- 37:37Speaker 12: be math on the show, but yet you're forcing me
- 37:40Speaker 12: to do math. If I add up twenty five, twelve
- 37:44Speaker 12: and seven, that's forty four percent, and that's where Mamdanie is.
- 37:49Speaker 12: It's a dead heat if you if everyone dropped out
- 37:51Speaker 12: except for one person, which is not happening. So that's
- 37:54Speaker 12: a significant problem for New York City, New York. Look,
- 37:58Speaker 12: if you elect him, I'm a new I live in
- 38:00Speaker 12: New York. I have an apartment here, right, my kids
- 38:02Speaker 12: live here. You buy the ticket, you take the ride.
- 38:06Speaker 12: What can I tell you? You know? And by the way,
- 38:07Speaker 12: this thing is so crazy, right that there were reports
- 38:11Speaker 12: that Cuomo called Donald Trump asking him for help to
- 38:15Speaker 12: do something here. That's how incenes become. No, it's gonna
- 38:18Speaker 12: be fascinating to see what happens.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Oh gosh, I mean, surely let's hope that the voters
- 38:23Speaker 2: aren't that stupid to put him in their pleas well.
- 38:27Speaker 2: We'll find out now. Army the woke and very tiring
- 38:30Speaker 2: and tragic response to Sidney Sweeney's American Eagle ad campaign.
- 38:34Speaker 2: We know it exploded on social media, but elsewhere it's
- 38:37Speaker 2: a different story. According to a new survey, just twelve
- 38:40Speaker 2: percent of Americans said that they found the campaign offensive.
- 38:44Speaker 2: So army twelve percent. The Lizos of the world can
- 38:48Speaker 2: get stuffed.
- 38:51Speaker 12: Yeah, okay, look in doing my research for this piece. Yes, people,
- 38:58Speaker 12: I know when you hear me, you're like, he must
- 38:59Speaker 12: be you must do no show prep at all, But
- 39:01Speaker 12: I actually do. Okay, So for my show PRIP, I
- 39:04Speaker 12: had to watch the ad a number of times. I'm sorry.
- 39:07Speaker 12: This is because I'm That's how hard I work for
- 39:10Speaker 12: this show. Okay, look, let me let me say this.
- 39:14Speaker 12: The people like who opposed it, right, Yeah, I think
- 39:18Speaker 12: they're all card carrying members of Fatties for Palestine. I
- 39:22Speaker 12: think that was the only group opposed it. Look now,
- 39:27Speaker 12: there the surprising number, wasn't That surprising number was the
- 39:30Speaker 12: twelve percent that had no opinion. I mean that had
- 39:34Speaker 12: that all had to have been men whose wives were
- 39:37Speaker 12: watching them as that pole was happening. Okay, it's impossible
- 39:42Speaker 12: not to have a view on that pole. But again, unsurprisingly, also,
- 39:48Speaker 12: men overwhelmingly found that ad to be more clever than women.
- 39:52Speaker 12: I'm shocked.
- 39:53Speaker 2: So yeah, no.
- 39:54Speaker 12: Actually, another actually really fascinating thing from a cultural and
- 39:58Speaker 12: political perspective is, if i'd be serious for a second,
- 40:01Speaker 12: is that it's so interesting to watch how the vandicks
- 40:04Speaker 12: flip over time. Like now, a lot of the aside
- 40:09Speaker 12: from the people calling it, you know, neo nazi, the
- 40:12Speaker 12: waste supremacist, forget them for a second, but a lot
- 40:14Speaker 12: of people on the left are taking offensive because the
- 40:17Speaker 12: over sexualization of women is anti feminists.
- 40:20Speaker 8: Right.
- 40:20Speaker 12: That's kind of like a view people have taken, which
- 40:22Speaker 12: is so interesting because twenty five years ago it would
- 40:25Speaker 12: have been the right, the Republicans who were saying, hey,
- 40:27Speaker 12: we have a problem with this, with this, with this
- 40:30Speaker 12: ad because it's overly sexualized. So I think it's fascinating.
- 40:32Speaker 2: I think it's really fascinating too. And you're right, I
- 40:34Speaker 2: think there were a lot of women staring over their
- 40:37Speaker 2: men watching that ad for sure. Now, look, US Attorney
- 40:41Speaker 2: General Pam Bondi has ordered a grand jury investigation into
- 40:45Speaker 2: an alleged conspiracy by the Obama administration to tie Donald
- 40:48Speaker 2: Trump to Russia. I here was the president overnight, you know.
- 40:52Speaker 20: They got this phony investigation going on Russia. Russia Russia
- 40:56Speaker 20: totally phony created by Adam Shift, Shifty Shift and Hillary
- 41:01Speaker 20: Clinton and the whole group of him, and it made
- 41:04Speaker 20: it very dangerous for our country because I was unable
- 41:06Speaker 20: to really deal with Russia the way we should have
- 41:08Speaker 20: been a We're looking at PAM because I hope something's
- 41:10Speaker 20: going to be done about.
- 41:11Speaker 2: It, so Ami Russia get his back.
- 41:16Speaker 12: Yeah, it really Russia game, Russia, Russia, Russia and the
- 41:19Speaker 12: Russia hoax one of the great stays on our American
- 41:23Speaker 12: intelligence community, and I think they'll be Frankly, I think
- 41:25Speaker 12: they'll be paying the price for a long time. Look,
- 41:28Speaker 12: the only proof we have actual proof of collusion with
- 41:32Speaker 12: Russia on tape is when Obama and Miyetyev got to
- 41:37Speaker 12: have pronounced is the lapdog of Putin's name when he
- 41:40Speaker 12: took that one four year term because he had to
- 41:44Speaker 12: try to make it legal for him to continue his dictatorship.
- 41:48Speaker 12: Was when the Russian leader at Obama had an off
- 41:51Speaker 12: mic meeting. It was actually on a hot mic, and
- 41:54Speaker 12: he leaned into him and said, hey, you know, just
- 41:56Speaker 12: give me a little bit of negotiating maneuver room for
- 41:59Speaker 12: this defense thing. Once I win the election, will be good.
- 42:03Speaker 12: That's the only collusion with Russia I've actually proof of,
- 42:08Speaker 12: you know, he had. The President had a really great
- 42:10Speaker 12: point and so true about how this Russia hoax did
- 42:13Speaker 12: have an effect on foreign policy. Uh, any move he
- 42:16Speaker 12: would make in terms of trying to get negotiating power
- 42:19Speaker 12: with Russia, trying to say, hey, you know, invite him
- 42:22Speaker 12: to the White House, or say hey we we'll use
- 42:24Speaker 12: a carrot of decreasing sanctions if you do X, Y
- 42:27Speaker 12: or z all. He was I'm sure conscious of looking
- 42:31Speaker 12: overly conciliatory to to putin. Because of that, it really
- 42:35Speaker 12: boxed him in foreign policy wise. Ironically, it actually may
- 42:39Speaker 12: have made it may have made it tougher on Russia
- 42:41Speaker 12: because of that. So there are probably maybe some positive
- 42:44Speaker 12: dowshingm effects. But yeah, that kind of you know, that
- 42:47Speaker 12: politicalization of intelligence really had an effect on foreign policy,
- 42:53Speaker 12: and that's I think that a detriment of this country
- 42:56Speaker 12: and the way we view the intelligent establishment.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Yeah, look doubt about it. Be interesting to see what
- 43:02Speaker 2: comes out of it. Armi Horowitz. Always great to see you.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Thank you so much for joining me on the show.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Still to come, Season two of Meghan Markle's Disastrous with
- 43:10Speaker 2: Love Meghan is already facing backlash and it hasn't even
- 43:15Speaker 2: been launched yet. Kinsey Schofield tell us why next welcome back?
- 43:29Speaker 13: Well.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Meghan Markle is facing criticism over her decision to feature
- 43:32Speaker 2: Chrissy Tagan on season two of her cooking show with
- 43:35Speaker 2: Love Meghan, after the controversial model was shown in the
- 43:39Speaker 2: trailer for the series. Joinning Me now for more on
- 43:41Speaker 2: this is celebrity and royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, Kinsey, thanks
- 43:45Speaker 2: for joining me. Why the backlash against Chrissy Tagan?
- 43:49Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 43:49Speaker 8: So.
- 43:50Speaker 14: Megan Markle has worked to reship her public image by
- 43:52Speaker 14: championing the fight against online harassment, often citing her own
- 43:57Speaker 14: experiences as proof.
- 43:59Speaker 13: Of the damage it can cause.
- 44:01Speaker 14: That's why her close association with Chrissy Teagan is raising eyebrows,
- 44:05Speaker 14: because Teagan has publicly confessed to targeting a teenage Courtney
- 44:10Speaker 14: Staden with cruel messages and even encouraging self harm over Twitter.
- 44:15Speaker 13: You know, it's a mixed message.
- 44:17Speaker 14: You can't condemn digital abuse while aligning yourself with someone
- 44:21Speaker 14: who once personified it. The stance risks implying that cyberbullying
- 44:25Speaker 14: only matters when it affects you.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Yeah, good point, I'd be very curious as well to
- 44:31Speaker 2: know how this latest series is going to shape up
- 44:34Speaker 2: after it was such a flop in the first Now
- 44:37Speaker 2: and Insider has revealed further details about Taylor Swift's upcoming album,
- 44:41Speaker 2: The Life of a show Girl, and it's reportedly set
- 44:45Speaker 2: to contain some distracks Kinsey.
- 44:50Speaker 14: I mean, obviously, I think we're suspecting that there might
- 44:52Speaker 14: be something about Blake Lively in there, because we saw
- 44:56Speaker 14: that one of the titles on the album is Ruined
- 44:59Speaker 14: the friend I don't know if you'll remember this, but
- 45:02Speaker 14: Insider say Swift felt used and exploited by Blake Lively,
- 45:06Speaker 14: who allegedly tried to leverage Swift's Swift's, you know, bigger
- 45:09Speaker 14: name and presence against her case against Justin Baldoni. So
- 45:15Speaker 14: Ruin the Friendship. Everybody's eyebrows are kind of perked up
- 45:18Speaker 14: over that, and then they suspect she might take a
- 45:20Speaker 14: swipe at Donald Trump, potentially with The Daily Mail reporting
- 45:24Speaker 14: that the new album isn't political. But Swift was motivated
- 45:29Speaker 14: by the excitement around Kamala when she recorded some of
- 45:34Speaker 14: these songs, and Taylor has a point to prove.
- 45:37Speaker 13: And is ready to silence people who say it. You know,
- 45:40Speaker 13: you go broke, go woke, go broke.
- 45:43Speaker 14: I guess she's trying to challenge that with this latest album.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Yeah, clearly, but we'll see how it goes if it
- 45:49Speaker 2: did have an impact on her career. Now, this is interesting.
- 45:52Speaker 2: The Tonight Show Starring at Jimmy Fallon achieved its highest
- 45:56Speaker 2: rating episode since twenty twenty three, when Fallon hosted news
- 46:00Speaker 2: late night host Greg Gutfield and the Jonas Brothers last week. Kinsey,
- 46:05Speaker 2: what does this suggest do you think?
- 46:08Speaker 14: I think it suggests that you they're going to have
- 46:10Speaker 14: to startnow. The mainstream is going to have to start
- 46:14Speaker 14: acknowledging some of these conservative personalities. I mean, Greg Guttfeld
- 46:19Speaker 14: averages two point nine million total viewers a month.
- 46:23Speaker 13: When it comes to Fox News.
- 46:24Speaker 14: I think, like he has incredible numbers on Fox News.
- 46:28Speaker 14: He is higher like ratings wise, I think he rates
- 46:32Speaker 14: higher than Jimmy Kimmel, then Stephen Colbert and these regular
- 46:38Speaker 14: guys on mainstream broadcasts, So they need to acknowledge him.
- 46:42Speaker 13: He's incredibly funny. I've worked with him before.
- 46:44Speaker 14: I enjoy him immensely, and you know, if I were
- 46:47Speaker 14: in BC, I would have Greg fill in for Jimmy
- 46:50Speaker 14: Fallon whenever he needs a little break and watch those
- 46:53Speaker 14: numbers spike.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Oh good point. Yeah, but I don't know how Jimmy
- 46:56Speaker 2: Fallon would feel about that. He might be worried about
- 46:58Speaker 2: his job perhaps. Now Look, Leonardo DiCaprio, who is fifty
- 47:02Speaker 2: years old, has said that he feels emotionally thirty five
- 47:07Speaker 2: during an interview with Paul Thomas Anderson, the director of
- 47:10Speaker 2: upcoming film One Battle after Another, which DiCaprio will star in.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Oh look, Kinsey, no One, that he only dates young women.
- 47:19Speaker 14: I can't believe that this is a real conversation that
- 47:21Speaker 14: we're having. Yeah, this was an interview for Esquire, and
- 47:24Speaker 14: he later gave a more serious answer.
- 47:26Speaker 13: You know, he's going to be fifty one in November.
- 47:29Speaker 14: He said, you have a desire to just be more
- 47:31Speaker 14: honest and not waste your time, and that's how it
- 47:33Speaker 14: feels to be fifty. But somebody should tell that to
- 47:36Speaker 14: the twenty five year old models that he cycles through.
- 47:39Speaker 14: I mean, I think that that was honestly the most
- 47:42Speaker 14: truth we've ever gotten out of Leonardo DiCaprio in an interview.
- 47:46Speaker 14: The man looks and acts like he's thirty five. Well
- 47:50Speaker 14: not maybe, but with the caps and with the covers,
- 47:52Speaker 14: you know.
- 47:52Speaker 13: What I'm talking about.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it just reminds me of that Sabrina Carpenter's song Manchild.
- 47:57Speaker 2: I feel like perhaps he's Leonardo DiCaprio personified and he
- 48:02Speaker 2: feels emotionally thirty five. Please now look. A fresh lawsuit
- 48:06Speaker 2: is alleging that Elvis Presley's ex wife, Priscilla exploited daughter
- 48:10Speaker 2: Lisa Marie's health crisis to gain control of her father's estate,
- 48:14Speaker 2: yanking life support from when her heart stopped. Kinsey. Priscilla
- 48:19Speaker 2: has come out and she's strongly denying these claims.
- 48:23Speaker 14: Can you believe this? This is the wildest thing I've
- 48:25Speaker 14: seen in a very long time. So yes, Priscilla Presley,
- 48:28Speaker 14: ex wife of Elvis Presley, She's facing this fifty million
- 48:31Speaker 14: dollar lawsuit and this is from former business associates.
- 48:35Speaker 13: I mean, this is serious misconduct.
- 48:37Speaker 14: In this legal filing, they alleged that Priscilla made the
- 48:40Speaker 14: decision to turn off Lisa Marie's life support before her
- 48:43Speaker 14: daughter Riley Keo was able to get to the hospital,
- 48:46Speaker 14: and despite Lisa Marie having signed a directive to prolong
- 48:51Speaker 14: her life. The suit says Priscilla figured Lisa Marie's death
- 48:54Speaker 14: would end her daughter's efforts to remove Priscilla as the
- 48:58Speaker 14: sole trustee of Lisa's life insurance trust, and they alleged
- 49:03Speaker 14: Priscilla wanted to control the trust and ultimately Graceland, which
- 49:06Speaker 14: you know, I mean, Graceland is so iconic, and Priscilla
- 49:10Speaker 14: has set herself. She feels like she built it to
- 49:13Speaker 14: the monster it is today. These are horrible allegations. Priscilla
- 49:17Speaker 14: strongly denies them, and I obviously hope and pray they're
- 49:20Speaker 14: not true.
- 49:21Speaker 13: But you know, a.
- 49:22Speaker 14: Wild, wild wild the audacity to put this in court papers, right,
- 49:28Speaker 14: I mean, how can you put something so heinous in
- 49:31Speaker 14: court papers?
- 49:32Speaker 2: Oh? No, Look, I totally agree Jane. It's been one
- 49:35Speaker 2: thing after another after all the deaths in that family.
- 49:38Speaker 2: Kinsey Schofield, good to see you as always, Thank you
- 49:40Speaker 2: so much for joining me on the show. Well that's
- 49:43Speaker 2: it for me. Up next is Newsnight. Good Night,
