She's also a number one Amazon best-selling author, internationally recognized coach, and host of the Lessons in Life and Love podcast. Glovisor welcomes Coach Riana Milne Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Hello everyone. It's so nice to be here. Thanks for asking me on. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: pleasure. All right. So Riana, please share with us what specific problems do you solve and who do you help? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: well, there's so much. I am known for healing childhood and love trauma. But also when I work with a client, we look at their whole life wheel. So friendships, finances. family interactions with siblings, parents. We look at everything. That's what a life coach does. but I am known for healing childhood trauma, which is a a mental health issue, and then love trauma. so people coming from abusive, toxic relationships will often turn to me to heal first and then learn the skills to go on to date an emotionally healthy partner and understand and be more alert to the red flags that happen in the dating process. very often psychologically they want love so bad that they settle or they think things will get better. And they don't want to notice the red flags. So that new education that they get to date successfully all leads to more emotionally healthy, conscious relationship. So who do I work with? Anyone 18 plus around the world? men, women, straight, LGBTQ, singles, and couples. And my new invention, Riana AI, speaks in 175 languages. So now I launched her February, Valentine's Day, as a love coach. I thought that was very appropriate. That was my goal. And she does work again 24-7 in 175 languages. So now there is no barrier to helping everyone around the world. So I'm very excited about that. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Wow, you really literally work with anyone. That's amazing. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Yes. Now I can. Before I could only speak English and a little bit of Spanish, but not well enough to really help someone live. So my avatar that looks like me, sounds like me, and has my personality, which is calm and loving. that's housed at Rihannaai dot com for international wellness and life transition. And then for love issues, I have lovecoachonline.com. So both Riana AI is housed in those areas. and there's all kinds of free resources there for everyone. You can give it a try for free as well. The Techspot also speaks 105 75 languages. So it's pretty exciting. I was really psyched to launch that, Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yeah, it sounds like it. But before we go on, can you take us back to 40 years ago? What made you choose this career path? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Okay, it actually started when I was sixteen years old. it's kind of a sad story. I did lose my very best childhood friend. He was killed by a drunk driver. And I asked my mom if I could go to a counselor to help heal and handle the grief. And she said, no one in this family will ever go to a counselor. And I said, Watch me, I will grow up and become one. So that's the first that I use the watch me mindset for success, which is now trademarks. And I've been coaching that since my twenties. so I couldn't. Go to counseling. I was too young to do it on my own. And back then it was considered a stigma. My mother did not want us to go to a counselor. But I did turn to books, spiritual guidance, books like From the Dalai Lama and The Course of Miracles, and business type books that worked with spirituality. So that's how it all began. Then a few years later, I lost my best friend. And roommate, she was murdered by her boyfriend at Penn State. So, with that, I dedicated my life to helping people with addictions. That was for Michael and for Corinne, helping people with love trauma. So my grief then turned to purpose. So I took my pain and made it my purpose and my passion. at 26 years old, I opened a model and talent agency in school that I had for 10 years. But with all that reading and studying, I started teaching the mindset for success. So I had models, actors, singers, dancers from Erie, Pennsylvania, very small town, who wanted big city stardom and success in New York, LA, Miami, and internationally. So that's when I started coaching the mindset for success philosophy. So these everyday people, like one of the dancers in Erie, wanted to be a roquette, she became a roquette. I had an auto mechanic that wanted to be on Baywatch, which was a show many years ago about lifeguards on the beach. He ended up on Baywatch. So, you know, it was I was called the dream maker. I would take people's dreams and teach them the mindset for them. to succeed using the talent they came in the door with. So I love that work as well. But I always knew I wanted to be a counselor. So at 40 I went back and got a triple masters in psychology and started my practice in year 2000 called Therapy by the Sea. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: it's so interesting. You turn some tragedies into purpose. That's great that you were able to make that transition to do more to help others that have gone through the same. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Mm-hmm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: but you you you mentioned spirituality. You were reading some of those books. Is that still a big part of your life today? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Yes, I'm also Reverend Riana Milne. Since nineteen ninety-six, when I lived in the South Jersey area of Atlantic City, I was doing a lot of the weddings. I was a busiest book minister, maybe doing four to five weddings in a weekend. and I and I'm fun and I'm down to earth and I'm easy to work with. And if I have a nervous bride, I was always able to do mental health work and calm down her anxiety. So I served in many different ways on their wedding day, but it was a real honor to be a part of that. And all my wedding ceremonies, that's a business I have called Ceremonies by Riana, is all custom written because I'm a writer. So it wasn't just open a book and read it. It was a custom loving ceremony once I knew their two stories. And yeah, so it's still a big part. And it is a big part of healing. Also, according to research, it's one of the number one things couple needs to have a sustainable relationship over time is a sense of shared faith. It doesn't matter what religion it is, it's a spiritual belief system and how you act 24-7 with accountability and integrity and honor, you know, that makes you answer to a higher power. So you're not out there cheating or doing other things that are not faith-based, right? So healing is a big part of having spirituality is a part of that. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Totally agree. Now, you know, it's interesting. I probably should have asked, What don't you do? Because it seems like you've done a lot. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Well, yeah, I'm also a mom and a grandma and a fiance to my partner Chris. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Wow. Congrats. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: But yeah, I've I've always loved writing. I my first book I wrote was a model and talent textbook of two hundred and fifty pages for my school because they didn't have one on commercial real people modeling. And I had people from five to eighty-four years old. So that's when I started writing, and then I wrote my master's theses, which was over two hundred pages. But you can actually find that on the internet today. I think that's pretty cool. Cause when that book came out, it was donated to science, you didn't get it on the internet, but if you just put in, you know, Riana Milne and it was healing adolescence, lack of self-esteem and fears of the future, and then improving them in many ways. So their self-love, their grades, their personality, their social confidence. so I did a six-month program free for the Atlantic City inner city kids. To help them be more successful. And I had definitely taught a lot of the mindset for success information then to them. And it was really great to see them excel. So this is a more technological science-based book, pre and post-tests about how much they've changed. So. That was the second one. And then live in love beyond your dreams. Love beyond your dreams from fear and is break free of toxic relationships to have the love you deserve. And live beyond your dreams is from fear and doubt to personal power, purpose, and success. So that's about mindset and love is about emotionally healthy, conscious love. But they are meant to go together. They're sister books. Because you can't have great love if you don't have a sense of spirituality and a great mindset. Right. So they are meant to go together. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: you were a counselor and then became a coach. What's Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Correct. Yes. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: what is the difference between the two and why would you make that shift? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: That's a great question. yes, I graduated with a triple master's in applied clinical and counseling psychology. From there I got licensed and was licensed in New Jersey where I lived at the time. I'm now in Florida. so what was caught up there was LPC licensed professional counselor down here is licensed mental health counselor. So when I moved 14 years later, I had a retest. I'm like, my God, how am I going to remember everything I learned 14 years ago and retake this test for Florida? But that's what we had to do back in the time that I moved here. there's a lot of different rules, like I can only work within my state as a licensed mental health counselor. So as soon as sort Certification came out. I went to RCI Relationship Coaching Institute and became certified over two years. One year is for singles work and one year for couples work. And that was quite an intensive course to be certified back then as a coach. I know today people are just saying, I'm a coach, and it's like, okay, you know, how much education did you have? But I love the coaching model because I can coach internationally. and I don't have to keep charts and I don't have to keep a diagnosis on someone. I always called my counseling people clients. I never called them patients because the word patience connotates that they're sick. To me, that's not the point. They're going through a tough transition. Right, so they might have lost the spouse and they're depressed right now. But why put that diagnostic label of depression on someone that's in their charts for the rest of their life? They're going through a life transition. With coaching, we don't have to give any of those codes. So to me, that's a huge, huge example. I have a lot of entertainers. I have police officers, EMT. I've had People who are air marshals that don't want people in the military that don't want a diagnostic code, but they want help. So they come to me for coaching. To me, that sense of privacy is really important, you know, because if there's a police officer and he and his wife had a fight and there's domestic issues, he could lose his job. Right? So he wants help, but they hesitate to go to counselor because they could lose their job with that. So to me, these are huge differences, and this is why I always love the coaching model. Also, the coaching model is more educational. I have written 150-page workbooks for relationship rescue for couples and dating to mating for singles. And what it's called is like bibliotherapy. They fill out the worksheets from what they tell me, then I know how to coach them on the next session. So we work as a team, it's back and forth. We're counseling, you're always processing the past. Now, do I process the past? Yes, that's extremely important to me because I need to know their childhood traumas and their experiences that are leading them to difficulty today as an adult. But we don't stay there. We process it, we understand it, we forgive whoever we have to forgive from that, and then we move forward with the new skills. especially for couples, communication skills and the dating skills for the singles, so they can have more success in those areas and other life areas as well. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And I can see that that would be very difficult. but you mentioned Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Yeah. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: dating because that's something that keeps coming up very often. The issues that the younger generation, it's not dating enough or or getting married or following the traditional process that we used to back in the day. Have you seen that in your practice? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Yes, I'm seeing that marriage rates are definitely slowing down. I still feel a lot of women want children. The men are postponing marriage because they feel they don't have the income to support a family, even if they want kids. so I see marrying much later or not marrying at all, feeling that they can't support a family. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: you mentioned AI. What were you doing that you made that change to embrace AI, all of this new technology and to bring it into your practice? Tell us a little bit more about that. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: yeah, it's it's a pretty funny story because when I was young, I always should turn to my two daughters, Alexi and Stefana, to help me with tech. It's like mom's terrible at tech, you know, you gotta help me with this. So being in business, you learn. And as soon as AI came out, I knew this is the future. And I am not gonna be behind on it. I'm gonna be ahead of the curve. And I've always been that way in in marketing my business, no matter which business it was, the talent industry or you know, my therapy practice or coaching practice. so I started taking classes right away and enjoyed it. And I was one of the first, I think the only counselor for quite a while that had my own tech spot. Riana AI on Riana Milne.com, my my one webs main website for therapy and coaching. So people could go in and ask it any questions. And I'm like, this is really cool. I love it. And then I started calling around different companies and I said, I would like a coaching avatar that looks like me and sounds like me. They're like, no, nothing's out there like that. It's not out there. It's not out there. I kept watching for it. Finally, I found a company in January of this year. that had the development ready and I pulled from different other sites to put it together and I built my avatar and then I hired a company to build the website for me which is lovecoachonline.com And then recently, just in, I guess it was the end of July, early August, I was, I know, I was heading out to a cruise and I signed the agreement that was in August with Pain2, number two care.com, which is based in Finland. And a gentleman named Sergio, who works a lot with that company and with Brazil. He's based in Orlando, but he saw my work on LinkedIn. Gave it to the couple in Finland and said, You should talk with Riana. You guys are doing the same type of AI work. And Pain to Care handles physical trauma. So someone gets into a car accident, you know, and they have physical pain in their body and physical trauma. And I said, I love what you're doing, but there's nobody to talk to. Would you like to partner and do Riana AI? And we'll be on each other's websites. So we did a collaboration. And because of that, I had to build the second website, which I am building myself now with ChatGBT called Rihannaai.com. So that's more for emotional wellness and life transition, like people from the hospital systems that paint to care works with. So they have hospital systems in Finland, Germany, and the UK. So now my Riana AI is speaking to people in three countries and you know, more languages and helping more people. So it's a very exciting new partnership that just happened a month ago. So there's been a lot going on this year's, but Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yeah. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: it's been a fabulous year. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: That is exciting. But before we move on, can you share with us when you say that I can go into this text bot, into your website, Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Mm-hmm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: what can I ask? Can I can I ask about my some of my issues that I'm having at home or maybe a an argument? And and Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Anything. Yeah. Yes. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: and I'll get a response. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Yes. the text bot is written. So if you only speak Spanish, you speak your native language. You say, Hi, I'm Joe. I'm 42 years old and I'm struggling with my wife. And the text bot will write back, I'm sorry to hear that, Joe. Let's dive into this a little bit further. Now, if you're on my avatar, it's like me talking to you right now on on Zoom or something, you know, where I do my coaching sessions. It looks like me, it sounds like me. You just say, hey, I'm Jill. I'm 45 years old. I'm struggling with my boyfriend in communication. And she will say, Geez, Jill, I'm sorry to hear that. Let's do some role play on some issues that have come up lately that you can practice and take back to your boyfriend. Or if you speak a different language, hi, I'm Jill and I speak Japanese. this is what I need help on, and she will talk back in Japanese. it is really amazing. I'm still amazed at it, you know. and I'm really thrilled that I built it. I was telling my girls about it. They're like, What, mom? You invented an avatar that speaks all these languages. So they're pretty proud of me about that, you know, a senior citizen in their 60s, you know, is on the head of the curve. And I was the first in the world, the first therapist to come out with this. it is not for mental health counseling because there is no diagnosis or charts or codes. It is coaching support, and you must be over 18 to use it. And if someone came and said, I'm feeling suicidal, she is programmed to say, then please hang up. This is not appropriate. Call your emergency services, 911 in America, or the suicide helpline, and she'll give that number out. So there's all kinds of, you know, safety stops in there. and the other thing that is cutting edge and new is I'm still a working coach, right? So they can get to a hybrid where they have Riana AI that's available 24-7. If they have a breakup at midnight, they have someone to talk to. But if they say, you know what, I want some more advice from Riana herself, then they can get coaching from me. So it's hybrid meaning both, you know, support live coaching or Riana AI coaching. And a lot of people enjoy using both systems. You know, I have laser coaching if you just want a quick answer, or I have the programs like dating to mating or relationship rescue if you want more intensive help. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: that brings up a good question. do I have to have a membership ongoing with you? Because you said something about a laser question. I'm thinking I have an issue at this moment. And I remember I heard Riana on the Glovisor podcast and she said I can get an answer. Can Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Mm-hmm. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I go ahead and log in immediately and get that answer? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Yes, you could get the immediate answers from either Riana AI or Love Coach Online. But if you want me, you go to Riana Milne.com. That's my live coaching site. Buy a couple laser coaching sessions. If it's a couple, I usually suggest three. I meet with partner A, partner B, then the couple together on the third one. So each couple's being heard. I have full understanding of the problems from each one. They both are being heard without being interrupted. And then the third one is all my suggestions that I want them to try. And if they want to keep continuing in laser coaching, they can. So that works out really great for a lot of people. But some people want more intensive work for healing with me. And that's when the four or six month programs are available to them. So I try to hit every area. What do people want? What do they need for their healing? And then many people like you know, the Riana AI system just to be able to talk to it 24-7 without worrying about an appointment, you know. Or I always think of, you know, women in other countries that don't have access to coaching and counseling. All they need is an internet and they can get some help, real help from someone that As my clinical background. You know, so Riana AI is trained totally in my systems. All my podcasts, all my books. I've written now 20 books. you know, my expertise as a counselor, my expertise as a coach. So over 40 years of expertise is fed into Riana AI. So the answers, people always say, my God, that was amazing. Like I felt like I was in a real coaching session. You know, and they're kind of shocked, and I still am too, you know, that the answers were like so. I said, I exactly would have said that. Yup, she she said exactly Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yeah. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: what she should have said. So it's it is an amazing process and I'm really thrilled that I could develop it for people that need help around the world. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yeah, I'm sure. So now that you're done pioneering in all these aspects, what else are you working on? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Yeah. Well, I got two phone calls over the summer. One was from Two Market Media in New York City. they're a great marketing firm that has launched like Mel Robbins and Grant Cardone, and they wanted me to be under their wing, which is really great. So I'm working on that and getting more out there with IG, which I never had time to use Instagram and TikTok. So I'm start I've started that process. And from there, the company inside success. TV found me and they're launching a brand new series called Love Experts and it's documentaries on our lives. So I was asked to be on that. So it's a life story, and also I'm there training people in some of the tips that I give as a coach. So it'll be about a half-hour show and they're editing it now. So I'm very excited about that. they have all kinds of great documentaries on superstar athletes like Serena Williams and singers, actors, dancers, you name it. And I was asked to be part of this Inside Success TV series. So I was really thrilled about that. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: sounds like an awesome project. Now, you've Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Yeah. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: had many years of experience. would you be able to share with us a a client's case study that really shows the transformation of your work? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Sure. this one always comes to mind because it the way it unfolded was very interesting. I was running around preparing my house in Florida for Hurricane Irma and I had a ponytail and shorts and a t-shirt on and boarding up my windows. And someone called out of the blue crying. It's like, my God, I just heard your podcast and I really need to talk to you. I finally understand childhood trauma has led me to this love trauma and I need your help. So I called her back right away and she's allowed me to share her story. Her name is Ola, lovely girl. she was in her young 30s at the time, but she was a Russian immigrant, came to the States at 18 with like $250 and married Young, the first man that gave her loving attention. And they had a son together, but the man was very abusive. And then the son started saying things that were abusive. And you know, she's there, I can't do this anymore. I'm trying my best, but I don't know what more to do. So I helped her through that process. she ended up divorcing, but it was a loving divorce. And we helped grow her business. I do business growth and mentoring too. She loved everything I was doing. She goes, I want to be a health coach. Can you help me grow my coaching? Yes, I can. So I mentored her with that. Now that's someone is ex an example of a six-month client because I'm doing life transition through a divorce, getting to the other side of divorce, helping to build her business. And helping her to get back out there and date again. Long story short, we got her back out there dating. She met a wonderful man very soon after they married. They have a daughter and they have a beautiful beachside mansion in the Carolinas. So that's one success story that I've always loved. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: what would you say is the most important takeaway that you will want our listeners to remember from this conversation? Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Life is short, you know, if you're unhappy in life, or love, you need help building your business, get help. Coaching is a a tax deduction too, by the way, in America and in many other countries. So invest in yourself. You know, my slogan is now is the time to create the life you desire and have the love you deserve. keep being excited about your life, have purpose that helps someone else or the earth or an animal, something that you're excited about. But you know, it's such a blessing and a gift every day. So just keep growing. And if I can help you in any way heal the past trauma that you've had from childhood, love trauma, certainly reach out to me. I always say I'm internationally known, but I give small town service. You know, you email me, I email you back. I don't have a secretary. I haven't had a secretary in 27 years, even at my model company, 40 years in business. I always wanted to be the one to help that person. not hand that off to someone else. I thought that was an important difference. So Riana Milne at gmail.com, there it is. Or you know, contact me Riana Milne.com is my website. Or there's contact me on Rihannaai.com for wellness and life transition and lovecoachonline.com or any love issues that you're going through. But if you want me, you'll find me. I'm not Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Mm-hmm. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: that hard to find, really. And I'd be glad and honored to help you. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: You're just one search away. Now, Riana, Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: That's it. That's it. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: thank you so much for joining us. We really appreciate your time and all of the value you share today. Coach Riana Milne LMHC, CCTPII: Thanks, Joe. I really appreciate you having me on your show. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: you're welcome. Thanks everyone for listening. If this episode inspired you, make sure you share it with someone who needs it.
