- 0:11Speaker 1: But what didn't you expect? It's a podcast called twenty
- 0:15Speaker 1: five Whistles. Hey, welcome to the show brought to you
- 0:21Speaker 1: by Draft Kings. Jordan Davis is here with us. Jordan,
- 0:25Speaker 1: I lost my first game last week. Hey, that's still
- 0:29Speaker 1: you talk about being in the money. Yeah, but I
- 0:30Speaker 1: bet all that I wanted fifteen on that one. Wouldn't
- 0:33Speaker 1: that be terrible betting? Like all the money I want?
- 0:36Speaker 1: I decided to put it all in on the one.
- 0:38Speaker 1: What happened? But glad you're here, buddy. Twenty five Whistles
- 0:42Speaker 1: presented by Draft Kings sports book and official sports betting
- 0:45Speaker 1: partner of the NFL. Download the Draft Kings app and
- 0:47Speaker 1: use the code Bobby sports to get in on the action.
- 0:50Speaker 1: So lots of stuff today, including an interview later with
- 0:52Speaker 1: Ricky Williams. And I'm gonna say this because Jordan, you
- 0:56Speaker 1: were not part of the interview, but I want you
- 0:58Speaker 1: to know that if you go back and listen to this,
- 1:00Speaker 1: I think you're going to be entertained. I could definitely
- 1:05Speaker 1: see where an interview Ricky wills would be entertaining, but
- 1:08Speaker 1: it will not be what you expect. At one part
- 1:11Speaker 1: of the interview, I had to go as the interviewer
- 1:13Speaker 1: that I am, well, you can't talk about football anymore? Really, yeah,
- 1:16Speaker 1: when you guys agree, it was kind of a pivoted
- 1:19Speaker 1: real quick. I tried like four I'll just say this.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I asked him one question. I said, what's happened with you?
- 1:24Speaker 1: T He goes. I don't know. I don't watch he goes.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I don't even know he goes. I've been to Texas
- 1:30Speaker 1: like twice, like in last year, so it's big. He
- 1:34Speaker 1: seems like the guy that was just really good at
- 1:36Speaker 1: football but never really loved it. Well, we talked about
- 1:41Speaker 1: and you were partially onto something because I think it
- 1:44Speaker 1: changed a bit as he did ask him what age
- 1:46Speaker 1: did he love football the most? I don't want to
- 1:49Speaker 1: spoilers spoilers, but it was an interview where we finished
- 1:53Speaker 1: and I went, how about that? Boys, that's interesting and sweet.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So that'll come up later, um, and then I leave.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Next week, Trent Dilford will be on live and just
- 2:04Speaker 1: just a great mobile quarterback right there. You know you
- 2:08Speaker 1: know is that he's massive and you don't think he
- 2:14Speaker 1: would be because standing up around the other NFL players,
- 2:18Speaker 1: he didn't look massive, because they're all massive, but I
- 2:21Speaker 1: was working out where he coaches now it came out.
- 2:24Speaker 1: We talked for a little bit and he listened to
- 2:26Speaker 1: the show, the radio show a little bit, and obviously
- 2:28Speaker 1: I know who he was and who he is. I
- 2:30Speaker 1: remember thinking, God, dang, he's huge. Here's huge. You ever
- 2:33Speaker 1: met Eli Manning? Uh have huge? He's bigger than Peyton.
- 2:37Speaker 1: He's a monster. That are you talking? Big? Big? Like size, bigger,
- 2:40Speaker 1: tall big. I was at the super Bowl in Miami
- 2:43Speaker 1: in the same place I met Goodell and Jerry Jones,
- 2:45Speaker 1: which I got up Jerry Jones coming up, so I'm
- 2:49Speaker 1: there and um, who was It was Eli and it
- 2:55Speaker 1: was Archie and it was big Archier Cooper. It was
- 3:00Speaker 1: an arch arch was like a little little high school
- 3:02Speaker 1: arts And I remember Eli coming up to me and
- 3:05Speaker 1: Eli on TV kind of looked medium and dope. Yeah,
- 3:10Speaker 1: he shook my hand and it swallowed my whole hand.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Massive guys, massive guy. We were just we were just
- 3:15Speaker 1: in Green Bay and I got to see Rogers and
- 3:19Speaker 1: but you met Aaron Rodgers. Didn't get to meet him,
- 3:22Speaker 1: but he was in the room. Fun It's like when
- 3:28Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers didn't get the vaccine. Was yeah, I was like,
- 3:35Speaker 1: Jordan's doing some sort of word play. No. I saw
- 3:37Speaker 1: him across the room and I was like, okay, you
- 3:40Speaker 1: next to back. T looks small, but you are the
- 3:44Speaker 1: biggest person in this room by three inches and probably
- 3:48Speaker 1: twouds Mike look up his official weight. Well you Aaron
- 3:51Speaker 1: Rodgers because again I just see him, was like me honestly,
- 3:54Speaker 1: because he's up and I'm not a small guy, but
- 3:57Speaker 1: I'm not a big guy. But it looks normal ish.
- 3:59Speaker 1: But Aaron, and right, do you have big beard, long hair? Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 1: he's wearing like a kind of hat, so he didn't
- 4:04Speaker 1: have You know, I think he's attractive, know what he's doing.
- 4:07Speaker 1: He's a look no way, no way. That guys six too.
- 4:15Speaker 1: There's Hollywood pretty TV pretty meaning we see him on
- 4:18Speaker 1: TV anymore, Like that's pretty normal. But then you seem
- 4:20Speaker 1: in life you're like, oh god, dang, in real life,
- 4:22Speaker 1: the human they're hot, Like I've seen that before with
- 4:24Speaker 1: both guys and girls, and I'm like, whoa, I can't
- 4:27Speaker 1: believe you're this pretty And that's an attractive mail right there. Yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 1: I would think. I think with all those memes out
- 4:32Speaker 1: there where he's like all prosided, Like there's like, there's
- 4:34Speaker 1: no way this is a good looking dude. Yeah, there's
- 4:36Speaker 1: too much image corruption via the internet. Yeah, well, let's
- 4:39Speaker 1: warm it up here. Which NFL player would be the
- 4:41Speaker 1: most annoying NFL player to hang out with and which
- 4:45Speaker 1: would be the coolest to hang out with? Eddie will
- 4:49Speaker 1: go to you first. Oh, the most annoying Tom Brady
- 4:51Speaker 1: the goat. I mean, I don't want to go to
- 4:53Speaker 1: dinner and have him talking about himself the whole time.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I feel like that's all he would do. Oh yeah, man,
- 4:58Speaker 1: fourth it was a fourth quarter? U Yeah, them to know.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I don't care. I saw it, dude, I don't care
- 5:03Speaker 1: what you have to say. But the coolest though, Zeke.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Like once I saw Zeko Elliott on Hard Knocks and
- 5:09Speaker 1: how He's like, I go, I want a party with
- 5:12Speaker 1: Ezekiel Elliott Megan in trouble. I do that, but I
- 5:15Speaker 1: think it'd be worth it. Brady Hayter and Zeke Lever obviously. Okay,
- 5:18Speaker 1: let's go to kick off, Kevin Kevin. The most annoying
- 5:20Speaker 1: would be Russell Wilson, for sure. He would be a robot. Hey, Russell,
- 5:24Speaker 1: you want to go do this? You want this, well, Kevin,
- 5:26Speaker 1: you know if you do this, I was talking about
- 5:31Speaker 1: that last time Crunch it is limb did Yeah, I agree, Yeah,
- 5:35Speaker 1: that would be the most annoying. And then the coolest,
- 5:37Speaker 1: of course, it's Tom Brady, the goat the quarterback, that
- 5:42Speaker 1: cool football player. You could business with him, football with him, whatever.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You just love the Patriots. So just by us alarm
- 5:50Speaker 1: for Kevin plays because obviously he's picking Tom Brady because
- 5:53Speaker 1: Tom Brady is his favorite quarterback. Do you got to
- 5:55Speaker 1: buy us alarm? That's fine? But do you realize that?
- 5:58Speaker 1: And I think you do. But most of the people
- 6:00Speaker 1: that you guys are talking about, the reason that some
- 6:02Speaker 1: people hate them is the exact reason that some people
- 6:04Speaker 1: love them. It's just generally how we'll just call it entertainment.
- 6:07Speaker 1: How entertainment works, Like you almost have to have something
- 6:10Speaker 1: that people are so passionate about that they love, that
- 6:13Speaker 1: they feel so strongly about it, it's going to have
- 6:15Speaker 1: other people feel strongly in the negative way because of
- 6:18Speaker 1: the same reason, Like there are people that hate my
- 6:20Speaker 1: guts for the same reason that people think like that's
- 6:23Speaker 1: like my dude, and you just have to deal with
- 6:26Speaker 1: it because to build passion if you have if you
- 6:28Speaker 1: have passion, there's another side of the passion coin. Always
- 6:31Speaker 1: you just want to have passion. Passionate people Tom Brady
- 6:34Speaker 1: love hate, Aaron Rodgers love hate. Yeah, the Last Dance
- 6:38Speaker 1: with Michael Jordan's And when you watched the all those
- 6:43Speaker 1: episodes and think, oh, I'd like to hang out with
- 6:45Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's, I feel like it's the same. If you're
- 6:48Speaker 1: the goat and everyone in your whole career is told
- 6:50Speaker 1: you you're awesome, there's no way you're gonna be fun
- 6:53Speaker 1: to hang out with. I don't think that's true. I
- 6:54Speaker 1: think they're probably have some friends that have hung out
- 6:57Speaker 1: with Michael Jordan's. I told you some stories off on
- 6:58Speaker 1: microphone that I cannot tell on this microphone. Um. Yes,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I think there are people that his personality type would
- 7:03Speaker 1: rub them the wrong way. But we all, you and
- 7:06Speaker 1: I have completely different personalities, and I think that's why
- 7:09Speaker 1: we probably live our lives in many ways together and
- 7:12Speaker 1: we're fine. You chill, have fun, sit back, couldn't couldn't
- 7:18Speaker 1: be a bigger type, be in a loving, wonderful waylaid back.
- 7:27Speaker 1: You know where I am, just like I feel this way,
- 7:31Speaker 1: this is the right way, We're gonna do it this way,
- 7:32Speaker 1: this is the only way. Let's and that will that
- 7:35Speaker 1: will rub people the wrong way too, But our personalities work.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I think it just kind of depends on who you
- 7:40Speaker 1: are and what you're annoyed by. I think I'd probably
- 7:42Speaker 1: annoyed by Aaron Rodgers, but I would also appreciate the
- 7:45Speaker 1: fact that he knows who he is and like just
- 7:46Speaker 1: does it regardless. Um, you know, most annoying would probably
- 7:50Speaker 1: be Baker Mayfield and most fun probably Baker Mayfield from
- 7:53Speaker 1: me at both because I love that dude, But I
- 7:56Speaker 1: also can see real quickly how I would hate that dude.
- 7:59Speaker 1: But I'm into it. He's got a lot to say,
- 8:02Speaker 1: he says it sometimes I'm like, but I'm like, I
- 8:05Speaker 1: like it that he just goes out there. And also
- 8:06Speaker 1: I used to just be annoyed by him until he
- 8:08Speaker 1: told me he was a fan, and then I'm like,
- 8:09Speaker 1: you know what, I love that. Let's go. So I
- 8:16Speaker 1: had Russ on my list. Russ is annoying and awkward
- 8:19Speaker 1: and cringe e at times. Um, Jamis Winston is hilarious
- 8:23Speaker 1: to me. Oh yeah, so funny. My original two are
- 8:26Speaker 1: gonna be Russ and Jameis Winston because that dude when
- 8:28Speaker 1: he gives motivational speeches l O L funny, Like, what
- 8:33Speaker 1: are you talking about as a Saints fan? It really
- 8:35Speaker 1: is painful. Like when he that's right, What do you
- 8:38Speaker 1: think about Jamis? Oh, man, he's he's not the guy, man,
- 8:41Speaker 1: he is not not at the quarterback. What do you
- 8:43Speaker 1: think about him as like just being He's fascinating. He's
- 8:46Speaker 1: been fascinating since he ate the dub. Remember when he
- 8:49Speaker 1: was like, we're gonna eat this stub, We're gonna get
- 8:51Speaker 1: this stub, and I was just like, oh my god,
- 8:52Speaker 1: that guy's a quarterback in the NFL. They like put
- 8:56Speaker 1: in your mouth. It's like and coming off of Drew Brees,
- 8:59Speaker 1: who was like his pregame motivational speeches were amazing. I
- 9:04Speaker 1: think that's what Jamis is trying to do, but just
- 9:06Speaker 1: way off not my team. So I love it because
- 9:09Speaker 1: I'm so entertained by it. Jordan, let's talk about you
- 9:12Speaker 1: for a second. You had two shows here in Nashville
- 9:14Speaker 1: at the Rhyme and back to back nights. Pretty cool. Huh, dude,
- 9:17Speaker 1: it was amazing. I mean and there your show is
- 9:19Speaker 1: like you headline, the show is that your first time
- 9:21Speaker 1: playing the ryme as a headliner, first time is the headliner. Yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 1: I don't know what what's the difference. I mean we've
- 9:26Speaker 1: done a couple like you've got up there and done
- 9:28Speaker 1: a song. Yeah, but it's a difference for you, like
- 9:30Speaker 1: how cool it is. It's gotta be much cooler when
- 9:31Speaker 1: it's your deal on your I mean, that was the
- 9:34Speaker 1: place that you know, when I moved to town, was
- 9:35Speaker 1: just a place that I toured and Adam, I mean,
- 9:38Speaker 1: we all know how special that room is and what
- 9:40Speaker 1: it means to country music. So to be able to
- 9:42Speaker 1: headline that had a bunch of families and you know,
- 9:45Speaker 1: a ton of friends flew up for it. Um, it
- 9:47Speaker 1: definitely you know, a pinch me moment um. I mean,
- 9:52Speaker 1: I'm still I'll be honestly that we I'm still kind
- 9:54Speaker 1: of just on cloud nine from it or tired, which
- 9:56Speaker 1: one really a little bit of both. Yeah. I was
- 9:58Speaker 1: just like cloud nine is a good to say. They're like, oh,
- 10:00Speaker 1: I'm just not cloud I'm freaking a pretty tired. Yeah.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean, you know, it's it's just some
- 10:07Speaker 1: special moments, um, you know. And and I think the
- 10:10Speaker 1: cool thing too is to be here in Nashville. So
- 10:12Speaker 1: many people. I mean, I've been here for eleven years,
- 10:14Speaker 1: so like a lot of a lot of relationships, a
- 10:17Speaker 1: lot of people that have helped me get to the
- 10:19Speaker 1: Rhyman that we're there, I got a chance to thank them,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and um yeah, just a special nights special two nights.
- 10:24Speaker 1: What about people that supported you for a long time
- 10:26Speaker 1: personally and professionally that that we're dark rim Glass don't know, man,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I just you know Bobby. Bobby sent me investage yesterday
- 10:33Speaker 1: about it. He goes, hey, man, you know I got
- 10:35Speaker 1: an industry invite, you know which I get a lot
- 10:37Speaker 1: of those, and who cares. But you know I didn't
- 10:39Speaker 1: get like a personal invite, so it's all good. Come on.
- 10:43Speaker 1: But no I knew, and I told him this when
- 10:44Speaker 1: we came in. I was like, man, I hate making
- 10:46Speaker 1: people like I feel like they have to come to something.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And I we all know how busy we all are,
- 10:51Speaker 1: and you know, being in town is nights at home
- 10:54Speaker 1: or sacred. So I don't like feeling like I'm dragging
- 10:57Speaker 1: somebody out that doesn't want to be up. Well, I
- 11:00Speaker 1: always liked to be invited, but never want to go.
- 11:01Speaker 1: And that's exactly what I want. Like I would have
- 11:02Speaker 1: said no, but I was like, bro, I gotta get
- 11:04Speaker 1: up early in the morning. But thank you for the
- 11:05Speaker 1: personal invite. You gotta learn that about Bones Jordan. Just
- 11:08Speaker 1: invite him. He won't go, but I'll never go. No.
- 11:11Speaker 1: When I saw Bobby Bones text message on my phone,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I was like, this is this probably isn't great. Something
- 11:18Speaker 1: is I think it was just the time of morning
- 11:20Speaker 1: because I'll textually like you want to play golf, but
- 11:22Speaker 1: it's never that early though I knew it wasn't a
- 11:23Speaker 1: golf Yeah, it was a little too early for that one. Well, congratulations, man,
- 11:27Speaker 1: that's thanks to That's really cool. Let's go over and
- 11:29Speaker 1: do the tittle tattle. Stupid name the tittle tattle. Let's
- 11:36Speaker 1: get up, Let's go all right? Should the Chargers sit
- 11:43Speaker 1: justin Herbert this week against the Texas. What sucks for
- 11:45Speaker 1: the Chargers is everybody's hurt now is hurt? Yeah? I
- 11:47Speaker 1: mean I think it's a it's what he wants, right,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and that's your franchise quarterback, and it's gonna be a
- 11:52Speaker 1: quarterback for a long time, and you feel like you're
- 11:54Speaker 1: gonna be the coach of that quarterback for a long time,
- 11:56Speaker 1: you have to establish a relationship where you trust each other.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And if the doctor says he can go, and he
- 12:02Speaker 1: says he wants to go, I think you'll let him go.
- 12:04Speaker 1: He obviously wants to be there. There's no reason he
- 12:07Speaker 1: should have been in that game late last week except
- 12:10Speaker 1: for he just wanted to be there. But also, as
- 12:13Speaker 1: a young quarterback who is the franchise guy, I'm sure
- 12:15Speaker 1: he feels like he has to prove to that team
- 12:17Speaker 1: that he is a he's a leader, and he's going
- 12:19Speaker 1: to be there for them, because it's hard to ask
- 12:21Speaker 1: people to do things that's uncomfortable if you're not also
- 12:24Speaker 1: doing things that's uncomfortable. And so I get it from
- 12:26Speaker 1: the perspective of he's injured, he's our guy, we need
- 12:29Speaker 1: to pull him out. But also I see it as
- 12:31Speaker 1: a guy who wants to ask of his teammates to
- 12:34Speaker 1: do great things and sacrifice a lot. So this is
- 12:37Speaker 1: a time that is trying, where there is adversity that
- 12:39Speaker 1: he's showing them he will also do it. Because I
- 12:41Speaker 1: just feel like I will never ask anybody to do
- 12:43Speaker 1: anything that I won't do. Wait that I will do, Yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 1: I won't. And so there are times where I I'm like, man,
- 12:50Speaker 1: I've been here. Let me tell you about this time
- 12:52Speaker 1: I did this, or sometimes I'll do stuff here now
- 12:54Speaker 1: that I don't have to do, but just to prove
- 12:56Speaker 1: like I'm in it with you guys. I'm not Russell Wilson.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I'm not a prima donna fancy pants like we're in
- 13:03Speaker 1: this together. Let's go. If he wants to do it,
- 13:05Speaker 1: I think he should do it just for that reason.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Along I agree with you, but I have a different
- 13:10Speaker 1: angle here. I would like to see Chase Daniel play
- 13:13Speaker 1: because this dude has been in the league for what
- 13:15Speaker 1: how long? He's made thirty six million dollars as a
- 13:18Speaker 1: backup and never seen the field. Like, I want to
- 13:20Speaker 1: see this guy earn his money because he probably only
- 13:23Speaker 1: has a couple of years left in the league. You
- 13:24Speaker 1: know he doesn't want to play. I don't want to
- 13:28Speaker 1: prove any good, especially when they lost their left tackle too.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You think you think Chase Daniel wants to come get
- 13:33Speaker 1: chased around, Absolutely not. I want to see him. I
- 13:36Speaker 1: think it needs to be Chase Daniel. And this was
- 13:40Speaker 1: actually a trivite question to the bus. He's attempted a
- 13:42Speaker 1: hundred and sixty passes in the NFL, and he's made
- 13:44Speaker 1: thirty something million million. I looked it up. He might
- 13:47Speaker 1: see like a great guy to hang they love having
- 13:50Speaker 1: him around, or probably he's great at helping the quarterback
- 13:54Speaker 1: get ready, meaning he's there. I don't don't use the
- 13:57Speaker 1: word tutor because some quarterbacks needed some don't but tutor,
- 14:00Speaker 1: but there to assist him and the game plan and
- 14:03Speaker 1: the change the additions are making it. I've been told
- 14:08Speaker 1: that by people that yeah, that's kind of his deal. Um,
- 14:11Speaker 1: he's very capable when it comes to learning quickly and
- 14:15Speaker 1: helping the others learn, if it's the quarterbacks or at
- 14:19Speaker 1: times they will put him with other folks in the offense.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Just little rumors that heard it too. He's like, that's
- 14:26Speaker 1: how he maintained his career for so long and stayed
- 14:29Speaker 1: in the league. And he's really good to run out
- 14:30Speaker 1: of bounce. I watched this guy. Watch what I do here?
- 14:33Speaker 1: All right? Next question? All right, Well, Russell Wilson and
- 14:36Speaker 1: the Broncos turned their offensive woes around this weekend against
- 14:39Speaker 1: the winless Raiders. I don't think so. I think the
- 14:42Speaker 1: Raiders have to win a game. I'm just playing numbers
- 14:44Speaker 1: at this point. The Raiders aren't a bad team. At
- 14:47Speaker 1: least I didn't think they were. I still don't think
- 14:49Speaker 1: they are just looking at him, just looking at personnel.
- 14:53Speaker 1: They're not a bad team to be the only O
- 14:55Speaker 1: N three team first of all, Jets, John, I mean,
- 14:59Speaker 1: they're a team as you look at the look at
- 15:02Speaker 1: But they've win games. Raiders have had an unfortunate uh luck,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and they've also had to place a couple of really
- 15:08Speaker 1: good teams. They shouldn't be. They shouldn't have gotta be
- 15:10Speaker 1: by the Titans. That was just a bad game. Um.
- 15:13Speaker 1: But I think the Cardinals that Carlin Murray was playing
- 15:17Speaker 1: out of his fucking brain though, but they blew that one.
- 15:20Speaker 1: It Yeah, I think eventually they got to catch up.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I think they're too good not to catch up. I
- 15:26Speaker 1: don't expect him to lose again this week, but if
- 15:28Speaker 1: they do, I'll be like the crap, they're gonna win
- 15:30Speaker 1: the next one, you know, uh yeah, to watch car
- 15:35Speaker 1: and even Adams, Adams freaking hates losing. He gets he's upset,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and so I think they'll win this week. I don't.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I hope they win this week because mostly because I'm
- 15:44Speaker 1: a bet on him. All right, what you going back
- 15:46Speaker 1: to the Chargers, do you think they're injuries will derail
- 15:48Speaker 1: their season? It's so much it's Herbert's probably not gonna
- 15:54Speaker 1: for another three weeks or so if he doesn't get
- 15:56Speaker 1: hurt anymore by playing. Now, uh boas is out, But
- 15:59Speaker 1: what else is new? Yes? Who else? Still? We having?
- 16:02Speaker 1: That a matter of time before clear Mac joins him
- 16:04Speaker 1: if clil max out just canceled the team? Yeah, can
- 16:07Speaker 1: you in soccer send him down to league? Right? Playing
- 16:11Speaker 1: the Sunbelt? I mean it's beat up bad, which is
- 16:13Speaker 1: terrible too, because out of all the offenses in the NFL, like,
- 16:18Speaker 1: that's the one that I would love to see the
- 16:20Speaker 1: Chargers offense clicking justin Herbert is fun to watch when
- 16:23Speaker 1: he's but they lost later, yeah, Like I mean the
- 16:29Speaker 1: best lineman, second best lineman, depending on Yeah, just it's
- 16:34Speaker 1: been a lot, right, And any of my friends that
- 16:36Speaker 1: are Chargers fans, I have to one that's a big fan,
- 16:40Speaker 1: one that's a media and fan. They're like, yeah, it's
- 16:41Speaker 1: classic Chargers, Like they just expect bad things to happen
- 16:43Speaker 1: to them. It's almost like me and Arkansas's like like
- 16:46Speaker 1: like it's going pretty well, but I know what's about
- 16:48Speaker 1: to happen. But so it's been a kind of disastrous
- 16:52Speaker 1: first part of the year for the Chargers. I do
- 16:53Speaker 1: hope they hang in there and win some games though.
- 16:55Speaker 1: All right, next one, do you think Brian Harrison at
- 16:57Speaker 1: Auburnon is gonna make it through the year? No way.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Whenever where somebody says it has to confirm they have
- 17:02Speaker 1: not fired their coach, which is what Auburn had to do.
- 17:05Speaker 1: If you ever have to confirm you haven't fired your coach,
- 17:07Speaker 1: you know that real soon you're gonna have to confirm
- 17:09Speaker 1: me you did didn't fire your coach. Um he he
- 17:13Speaker 1: was dead man walking in the off season when the
- 17:16Speaker 1: Boosters were trying to run him. He was gonna have
- 17:18Speaker 1: to come out and win m M nine games to
- 17:22Speaker 1: keep his job probably, and that just wasn't gonna happen
- 17:25Speaker 1: with what they have there. I think it's a matter
- 17:27Speaker 1: of time before he gets fired. I would love to
- 17:29Speaker 1: see him make it through the season. But now it's like,
- 17:32Speaker 1: how can we go and start rolling trying to find
- 17:34Speaker 1: the next guy? Also, to me, it's where is Deon
- 17:36Speaker 1: gonna end up? And does he want to leave? Does
- 17:38Speaker 1: he want to go to Georgia Tech? Does he want
- 17:40Speaker 1: to go with? There are these schools now they're opening up,
- 17:41Speaker 1: and it's like, where does Deon Sanders going? Who makes that?
- 17:44Speaker 1: Because that's that's a commitment. It is if you if
- 17:47Speaker 1: Deon Sanders is your head coach, it's like do Obviously
- 17:50Speaker 1: the guy knows what he's doing, but it's it's a
- 17:54Speaker 1: totally different culture shift. When he comes in, he's then
- 17:57Speaker 1: he is more than another coach who come in to
- 18:00Speaker 1: make to make his players a star. Dion is gonna
- 18:02Speaker 1: be the star more than the boosters to the dudes
- 18:06Speaker 1: who want to run that stuff. That's the thing. It's like,
- 18:07Speaker 1: how much of that is? And you know, the more
- 18:10Speaker 1: I feel like you I've gotten out of college, I've
- 18:12Speaker 1: realized how much boosters affect that, you know, And I
- 18:16Speaker 1: just don't know if if a guy that gives a
- 18:18Speaker 1: ton of money to a school is gonna want all
- 18:21Speaker 1: the lights on Dion Sanders and not what they do
- 18:25Speaker 1: for the team. So, I mean, it's why Texas sucks.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Honestly sucks, and relatively speaking, they don't suck suck, but
- 18:31Speaker 1: they suck compared to what they should be every year
- 18:34Speaker 1: is because their boosters running the thing. It's it's it's
- 18:36Speaker 1: that whole culture over there. Um. But yes, he's he's gone.
- 18:41Speaker 1: He's gone. Sucks it sucks him. All else which ranked
- 18:44Speaker 1: underdog has a better shot at covering this week Kentucky
- 18:47Speaker 1: minus seven Verse Old miss or Your Razorbacks minus seventeen,
- 18:51Speaker 1: hosting Alabama. Get the button ready? Well know, if I
- 18:54Speaker 1: just say Arkansas, you're gonna say button. Yeah. He asked
- 18:57Speaker 1: me a question him as an answer, if you pick that,
- 19:00Speaker 1: you gotta hit the button. Hit the button, Mike. Yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So it's it's it's a weird Arkansas Alabama. It is weird.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I could definitely see us playing really well, even winning
- 19:12Speaker 1: the game, and I would. I don't always say that
- 19:15Speaker 1: I think we could win this game. If I were
- 19:17Speaker 1: gonna put one to ten Tammy and we for sure
- 19:19Speaker 1: win three and a half, that's pretty good. Maybe this
- 19:23Speaker 1: fifteen years in a row. But if I were just
- 19:26Speaker 1: betting it as an outsider, I would. I think Arkansas
- 19:28Speaker 1: can cover that as long as it doesn't get out
- 19:30Speaker 1: of hand early. Um, we played them with the one
- 19:32Speaker 1: touchdown last year in Alabama. Um, Kentucky is not a
- 19:36Speaker 1: good football team. They're not. They fight nobody. The only
- 19:40Speaker 1: team they fight Florida, and Florida is not a good
- 19:42Speaker 1: football team. There are number seven. They're the worst number
- 19:44Speaker 1: seven I've ever seen. In the history of number seven's,
- 19:46Speaker 1: there's never been a number seven. This is bad. It's
- 19:48Speaker 1: Kentucky is right now. If they did an all time
- 19:51Speaker 1: list a bad number seven number one, and they may
- 19:55Speaker 1: prove me wrong, but they did. They've played nobody and
- 19:59Speaker 1: they're singing their prey is nothing. They've also given up
- 20:02Speaker 1: a ton of sacks doing that too. It's just like, bro,
- 20:06Speaker 1: look who they played, like holding stall him out of
- 20:09Speaker 1: twelve or something. If you're not playing, get him to
- 20:11Speaker 1: that spot and hold off for a minute. But we'll
- 20:13Speaker 1: see if they come out beat all mess. And I
- 20:14Speaker 1: will come on this show and I will act like
- 20:17Speaker 1: I never said it, but still well, I think and
- 20:19Speaker 1: I think you're gonna see that this right ole miss
- 20:22Speaker 1: beats him there at number seven, I think you're gonna
- 20:24Speaker 1: see a massive drop from him, which like probably back
- 20:28Speaker 1: down to like close to twenty. Obviously fell that far
- 20:33Speaker 1: and and we were we also talked team I think
- 20:35Speaker 1: you're right if it's based on like last week, but
- 20:37Speaker 1: Kentucky won't. They won't get knocked back that far. If
- 20:40Speaker 1: they lose, well, obviously we have to see what they
- 20:43Speaker 1: look like. I don't think that. I don't think that games.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I think Kentucky is gonna lose. I think they're gonna
- 20:48Speaker 1: lose by more than seven. And I just think that.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I hate when they do that, when they rank a
- 20:54Speaker 1: team high and then they get beat and you're like, Okay,
- 20:56Speaker 1: well you never thought much of them in the first place,
- 20:57Speaker 1: so why do you have them there? But all you
- 21:00Speaker 1: should have like two stall outs a year. There's like
- 21:02Speaker 1: a stall out coach and he watches He's like, you
- 21:05Speaker 1: know what, because Kansas should be ranked by the way
- 21:07Speaker 1: that's gonna Was that a question? Okay? But the fact
- 21:11Speaker 1: Kansas should be ranked because they're I've been looking at
- 21:14Speaker 1: their strength of schedule. It's it like thirteen or something.
- 21:18Speaker 1: That's pretty good. And they haven't lost a game. Their
- 21:22Speaker 1: offense click click click, and it's they're just scoring points. Man,
- 21:26Speaker 1: It's it's awesome. But again, it'll all shake out about
- 21:29Speaker 1: week five because teams didn't start playing each other. But
- 21:32Speaker 1: I looked at other number seven that sucked in Kansas.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Kentucky is the worst of all time. Number seven. I
- 21:38Speaker 1: haven't like Kentucky football. I just get irritated. They keep
- 21:40Speaker 1: moving up and they've played nobody, and then after and after,
- 21:43Speaker 1: but after Matt Jones talking about how I wonder if
- 21:45Speaker 1: we're playing for the national championship of what worst number seven?
- 21:48Speaker 1: You get some guys out of retirement? God dang, all right,
- 21:51Speaker 1: wee more. Which non SEC ranked matchup are you looking
- 21:54Speaker 1: forward to the most this weekend? You got Wake Forest
- 21:56Speaker 1: at Florida State, Oklahoma State at Baylor, or NC State Clemson.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Why would you ask a question like that as far
- 22:02Speaker 1: as non SEC? It's because I love the SEC? Or
- 22:05Speaker 1: is it because the SEC has the best football in it?
- 22:07Speaker 1: Both because there's a lot of SEC talk everywhere, so
- 22:11Speaker 1: you almost have to put everything else in its own category. Okay,
- 22:14Speaker 1: so the Clems in North Carolina State game is interesting
- 22:17Speaker 1: to me just because Davil will come on this show.
- 22:20Speaker 1: So I hope they lose. That's fair enough. That's literally it.
- 22:23Speaker 1: And I hope they lose, uh the end, But that's
- 22:27Speaker 1: my only interest. I think they'll win. I think they
- 22:30Speaker 1: had their close call last week. I think they're probably
- 22:32Speaker 1: pretty focused, so I think they'll win that one. The
- 22:35Speaker 1: Oklahoma State Baylor game is like a mirror those two
- 22:39Speaker 1: teams and what they both could do and they could
- 22:42Speaker 1: still win that conference both of them. Um, but I
- 22:47Speaker 1: think it's what was the other one that I Forest
- 22:50Speaker 1: in Florida State? No, it's not that one that sucks.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna go back to I'm like, man, I like
- 22:54Speaker 1: wake Furst them and the same Heartman is they got
- 22:57Speaker 1: two losses and all that. Then they know they have
- 22:59Speaker 1: one loss just Liberty almost Liberty almost beat him, but
- 23:02Speaker 1: they should that Clemson game that they had every chance
- 23:05Speaker 1: in the world to win that game. Um, I think
- 23:07Speaker 1: Clemson is you talk about a bad number five or
- 23:12Speaker 1: are they four or five? He's talk about the top
- 23:15Speaker 1: number one, bad number five? That's Clemson this year? Like, well,
- 23:19Speaker 1: they won't get a chance to really prove howad because
- 23:20Speaker 1: they're not gonna They're not gonna pay anything. This is
- 23:22Speaker 1: it kind of what thet Then you're like, Okay, who cares?
- 23:26Speaker 1: Who cares that you just crushed North Carolina State? But
- 23:29Speaker 1: they're twelve were twelve last week. I guess they have
- 23:32Speaker 1: a good quarterback Devlet But I guess my problem is
- 23:37Speaker 1: is that if it's a bunch of teams playing each
- 23:39Speaker 1: other and you just throw some ranks on them. How
- 23:40Speaker 1: good are they really if they're just playing each other?
- 23:43Speaker 1: So it's like Kentucky right now, back to them. It's great.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Enjoy number seven for two more weeks, and in four
- 23:50Speaker 1: weeks nobody will talk about Kentucky again. If you asked me,
- 23:53Speaker 1: the number one team in the country's l s U.
- 23:57Speaker 1: You know I agree with that? Is that the last one?
- 24:03Speaker 1: That's all right? There? You go right around the room.
- 24:12Speaker 1: What injury will affect this week in the NFL? Most?
- 24:15Speaker 1: I want to start with you, Jordan Davis. Any injury,
- 24:18Speaker 1: picking injury, any injury? Which one most sterling shepherd that
- 24:22Speaker 1: you know? I feel like the Giants offense was already struggling.
- 24:27Speaker 1: You gotta find a way to get say kwe more involved.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Already kind of weak in the receiver, you know, depth chart.
- 24:35Speaker 1: So to lose that guy, well when he went down
- 24:38Speaker 1: to weird, I mean contet just a c o things. Man,
- 24:43Speaker 1: that's scary, like but I really think that, Like, you
- 24:48Speaker 1: lost a a bad game at home to the Cowboys.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Not saying the Cowboys are bad, thank you, It wasn't.
- 24:53Speaker 1: But it was a gross game to watch. It was.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It was a tough game. To watch, A tough game
- 24:57Speaker 1: to watch. I enjoyed it. Daniel Jones looked good. Uh
- 25:00Speaker 1: but yeah, you lost at home to Cooper Rush. Played well,
- 25:03Speaker 1: but you lost at home to Cooper Rush. So like
- 25:06Speaker 1: then you just lost. You know what I think, is
- 25:09Speaker 1: there no more on receiver? I think the Joans or
- 25:11Speaker 1: this this next week is they need to win, Eddie. Okay,
- 25:16Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go ahead and take the Bills defense
- 25:18Speaker 1: because they're just peppered with injuries and they're going They're
- 25:22Speaker 1: playing the Ravens this weekend. I mean, this is a
- 25:24Speaker 1: big one, and I think with a bad defense, Lamar's
- 25:26Speaker 1: in a run all over him. So this is a
- 25:28Speaker 1: this is a bad one for this week for sure.
- 25:29Speaker 1: What if the Bills lose again, I mean it's possible.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Unfortunate timing. You have to play Baltimore when they're like
- 25:37Speaker 1: I mean, Lamar was just like playing mad and uneasy man.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Lamar just like seems chill all the time, and to me,
- 25:47Speaker 1: that's the success in his game. It's like he's just relaxed,
- 25:49Speaker 1: always goes into these games no pressure, and he always delivers.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I think he does the same thing against Bills. The
- 25:55Speaker 1: broken Bills defense might pick for MVP before the season started. Yeah,
- 25:58Speaker 1: I was hate to remind you, but I will every
- 26:00Speaker 1: week until he sucks off. Ever said it, kick off, Kevin.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with a collective group here, and that's
- 26:05Speaker 1: the Bucks receivers. I think if Julio Jones is still
- 26:09Speaker 1: they get Mike Evin's back, which is good, but Godwin,
- 26:10Speaker 1: he's still a little questionable. So if they can get
- 26:12Speaker 1: them back going against some tough Chiefs team, then it'll
- 26:16Speaker 1: be a big thing for them. I think I made
- 26:19Speaker 1: quite the move in our fantasy league this week where
- 26:21Speaker 1: I picked up Gronkowski because I think he comes back
- 26:23Speaker 1: to Tampa because they got nobody else. He's not even
- 26:26Speaker 1: on a team, And that interesting what you said this.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, you know what, you can be a
- 26:30Speaker 1: real idiot right now, or you could be the smartest
- 26:32Speaker 1: man alive. I'm not playing him this week, but it's
- 26:34Speaker 1: like they have nobody. Why not they wouldn't got Beasley
- 26:38Speaker 1: and so it's like Gronk's gonna come back when you're
- 26:41Speaker 1: when you're dipping down to cold Beasley. Yeah, straight speculation pick,
- 26:49Speaker 1: but I picked him up, and Bobby, if that happens,
- 26:52Speaker 1: you're a genius. It's it's that's unreal. I wouldn't say genius.
- 26:56Speaker 1: No one's doing that. No one's thinking that Gronk can
- 26:59Speaker 1: come back. It's definitely a possibility, but I guarantee you
- 27:03Speaker 1: fantasy players that there are not the hope I hope.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I love that when they say, like how many the
- 27:07Speaker 1: percentage of that the players owned? I love now that
- 27:10Speaker 1: on ESPN, the only person that owns Robert zero one.
- 27:17Speaker 1: He was out there. I've got him and Eli both.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Everyone's out there, Kevin, yeah, everyone, Yeah, you're out there.
- 27:23Speaker 1: From Adam the Slater injury left tackle the Chargers. If
- 27:31Speaker 1: whenever Herbert comes back, if it's if he if he
- 27:34Speaker 1: plays this week, or whether or not, that that left
- 27:36Speaker 1: side um, that blind side is. I don't like that
- 27:40Speaker 1: for his ribs um because they're gonna they're gonna be
- 27:43Speaker 1: coming after him trying to you know, knock him out
- 27:45Speaker 1: of the game and trying to trying to keep limited.
- 27:47Speaker 1: That left tackle spot is just gonna be huge for
- 27:49Speaker 1: the Charges if they want to um crawl back into division.
- 27:53Speaker 1: He ain't coming back though, coming back forever. Even if
- 27:58Speaker 1: her becmes back next week, you know that's that's just
- 28:01Speaker 1: an unfortunate situation. And I think to like and even
- 28:04Speaker 1: kind of dipping back on that with her, it's like,
- 28:06Speaker 1: at some point, you gotta protect you gotta protect the
- 28:09Speaker 1: player from himself. And I know, justin Herbert, I'm playing
- 28:13Speaker 1: my boys, and if he's, if he's and he is
- 28:16Speaker 1: the guy, like he's the franchise quarterback, that's and now
- 28:20Speaker 1: your left tackles out. That's that's a tough spot. Next
- 28:23Speaker 1: NFL coach or let's just do any coach, Well, who's
- 28:26Speaker 1: the next coach to get fired? Because they're there, they're
- 28:29Speaker 1: a lot. There's Matt Rule, who's constantly in Carolina like
- 28:35Speaker 1: is good in the NFL. He hasn't proving it yet.
- 28:37Speaker 1: He was great in college. Like, who is the next
- 28:40Speaker 1: coach to go down? I'm gonna go with it's probably
- 28:44Speaker 1: Cliff Kingsbury and in Arizona A Rule. Those two are
- 28:47Speaker 1: right there on the top. For me. I think Cliff
- 28:49Speaker 1: kind of gets a bad, bad rap. He has improved
- 28:51Speaker 1: that team every single year. Every single year they've won
- 28:54Speaker 1: more games, but because they don't win later, they're not
- 28:58Speaker 1: getting farther along. And the play offs, I mean last
- 29:01Speaker 1: year Kyler in the playoffs has a terrible performance. Terrible.
- 29:04Speaker 1: It's one of the worst I've ever seen by supposedly
- 29:06Speaker 1: an elite player. But I'll probably go rule I think
- 29:10Speaker 1: clings uh think Cliff coach Cliff. I'm gonna go with
- 29:14Speaker 1: the Denver coach with his name Hackett. He just hired
- 29:17Speaker 1: a coach to help him coach. I mean, that's that's
- 29:20Speaker 1: that's that's an indication of we don't need you. I
- 29:23Speaker 1: think once they find out your backup dude, you got
- 29:26Speaker 1: you hired to help you, is doing your work for you.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I mean really, I mean, you get Russell Wilson a
- 29:30Speaker 1: lot of hype in this year and you can't make
- 29:32Speaker 1: it happen. Something is not good. And I think he's
- 29:34Speaker 1: next Like Nathaniel Hackett. I think he could be I
- 29:38Speaker 1: mean top five to be fired. Okay, and I could
- 29:41Speaker 1: be wrong about this, but I just feel like Russell
- 29:43Speaker 1: Wilson is let me lead the team kind of guy,
- 29:46Speaker 1: and with there's a struggle between like calling plays. I
- 29:50Speaker 1: I feel I feel like half the time when Russell's
- 29:53Speaker 1: up there and he's running a play, he doesn't really
- 29:54Speaker 1: want to run. And I think that's part of the
- 29:56Speaker 1: problem too. And I think Hackett should know if he
- 29:59Speaker 1: has Russell Nets situation. Dude, you're out there, you call
- 30:01Speaker 1: the player, you'd be the leader. And I don't think
- 30:03Speaker 1: he's letting him do that. Jordan Davis, I would. I mean,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I think Nathaniel Hack is there. This is a white
- 30:10Speaker 1: hot take. Okay, Belichick, No, come on, if if the
- 30:17Speaker 1: Steelers win six games, you're crazy. I mean they're not
- 30:23Speaker 1: if they if he's never had a losing record, you
- 30:26Speaker 1: get a fire coach for its first losing record when
- 30:28Speaker 1: he doesn't have a quarterback. That's it's a good point
- 30:31Speaker 1: right there. I mean, hey, I again, it's a hot take,
- 30:35Speaker 1: a hot hot, white hot take. Maybe I don't know
- 30:42Speaker 1: it just Pittsburgh feels weird. I almost wondered. It's like
- 30:45Speaker 1: it's not a firing. It's one of those things where
- 30:47Speaker 1: like we've decided to go in a different direction. I loved,
- 30:52Speaker 1: I love Mike Tomlins take. I've ever heard still burning.
- 30:56Speaker 1: I would, Okay, I like it, and and and what's
- 31:00Speaker 1: the Colts? Dude? But you just you just beat the
- 31:03Speaker 1: Chiefs at home? But no, no, I agree. But like
- 31:06Speaker 1: I would say, and I'm saying the white hot tepe,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I don't think Tom was getting fired I would say
- 31:09Speaker 1: Nathaniel Hackett. I don't think he makes it through the season.
- 31:12Speaker 1: That offense looks terrible. Russell he does not look like
- 31:14Speaker 1: the Russell Wilson was in Seattle. If there's in the
- 31:17Speaker 1: next coach that will be fired, I think we'll be
- 31:18Speaker 1: Hackett Boom. Russell Wilson doesn't look like the Russell Wilson
- 31:21Speaker 1: that was in Seattle. He's had a couple like, he's injured.
- 31:25Speaker 1: It's always sumped and he's not a limited Did you
- 31:29Speaker 1: see the sandwich commercial? Yeah, called that or something, Yeah,
- 31:36Speaker 1: sandwich or something, I forget what it was, but of
- 31:38Speaker 1: a sell lane. It's he's trying to act all the time.
- 31:42Speaker 1: I know, I used to hate him. Yeah, I don't
- 31:45Speaker 1: even hate him now I'm just like, yeah, I don't
- 31:46Speaker 1: want to. Yeah, he's the most only quarterbacks player now
- 31:49Speaker 1: that we talked about it. Jerry Jones update, you guys
- 31:52Speaker 1: want it? Yes, So what you don't know about this
- 31:54Speaker 1: Jordan Davis is that I wait, what time is it
- 31:57Speaker 1: all that? Like? Let me make sure I'm not missing
- 31:58Speaker 1: a meeting here that was stuck on. I do have
- 32:00Speaker 1: a meeting at noon with the Netflix head. Oh, wrap
- 32:03Speaker 1: it up, let's go. That's big. They want whistles on
- 32:06Speaker 1: Netflix in five minutes. I know, what do we do? Boys?
- 32:09Speaker 1: I don't think Mike Tom is gonna get fired. I
- 32:11Speaker 1: just want to make before we get cut off. All right, Well,
- 32:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to. I guess I'm gonna do this
- 32:19Speaker 1: meeting and then I'm sure Jordan's got music cool stuff
- 32:22Speaker 1: to do. No, don't end it. We'll come back. I'll
- 32:24Speaker 1: finish it. You can myself, and I got commercials to
- 32:26Speaker 1: doing stuff. But I gotta hop on this meeting. Thank god,
- 32:28Speaker 1: I saw it. Um yeah, I gotta meet the who
- 32:30Speaker 1: I'm meeting here, dude, that's awesome. I know. I'm sorry everybody.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Mr Netflix is? Are you meeting with Mr? Netflix? Yeah?
- 32:38Speaker 1: Casting head of it doesn't matter. It may only be
- 32:42Speaker 1: like fifteen minutes. You guys want to stay, I'll be around. Okay, Well,
- 32:45Speaker 1: let me go to this meeting and when you come back.
- 32:47Speaker 1: If you're listening to this, there was never even a break.
- 32:49Speaker 1: It's like a dream or asleep. You don't even realize
- 32:51Speaker 1: your sleep. You just close your eyes and wake up.
- 32:52Speaker 1: It's like Christmas. All kay, we'll be back on a second.
- 32:56Speaker 1: We're back. Yeah, I just took over Netflix. I'm see
- 32:59Speaker 1: you now. Yeah, that's crazy. Bobby literally just talked to
- 33:02Speaker 1: Mr Netflix. Yeah, you're all fired. Did we get the show?
- 33:04Speaker 1: You didn't? Can we get free Netflix? You don't have
- 33:07Speaker 1: your pan double from now on? Um, well, I was
- 33:10Speaker 1: gonna read you. You can be found my phone, maybe
- 33:12Speaker 1: in office, I don't know. I was gonna read you
- 33:13Speaker 1: my Jerry Jones update. Before we do that, let's get
- 33:15Speaker 1: a coaches update real quick. You guys have all they
- 33:18Speaker 1: drew out of a hat to book a coach, So
- 33:21Speaker 1: we drew from all the major conferences and they got
- 33:23Speaker 1: a coach and they've been just trying to book them
- 33:25Speaker 1: through email basically. Jordan's oh for yeah, for the show. Yeah,
- 33:27Speaker 1: So what's the update, Mike, Mike, what do you got?
- 33:30Speaker 1: Coach Wilcox from cal He has agreed to come on
- 33:33Speaker 1: the show on we're just lining at the time right now.
- 33:36Speaker 1: One time we already had didn't match, but we think
- 33:39Speaker 1: we're gonna get it next week. Yeah, harder with West coach,
- 33:41Speaker 1: but we'll get it. So Mike's got his guy on
- 33:43Speaker 1: the line, he's ring in right, He's got it on
- 33:45Speaker 1: the line. All right, Eddie, who do you have and
- 33:47Speaker 1: how's it going. I have Billy Napier, head coach of
- 33:49Speaker 1: Florida Chomp Chomp. But here's the deal. You said it
- 33:52Speaker 1: was close. We were so so close, and I finally
- 33:55Speaker 1: got an email a couple of days ago, and I've
- 33:57Speaker 1: been wanting to tell you. I've been trying to call
- 33:59Speaker 1: you and tell you, but I'm like, that gonna what
- 34:01Speaker 1: I mean, We've played golf and I wanted to tell you,
- 34:03Speaker 1: but I'm gonna say it for the podcast. Um. They
- 34:06Speaker 1: finally said that this season is not gonna work, but
- 34:09Speaker 1: as soon as the season is over, he would like
- 34:10Speaker 1: to talk to you. Guys. We don't want it. We
- 34:11Speaker 1: don't want to postseason. That That's what I Yeah, And
- 34:15Speaker 1: I didn't know whether to go back and be like
- 34:16Speaker 1: that's unacceptable. We want to talk to him right now,
- 34:18Speaker 1: or just be like, Okay, no, we're good. Would you
- 34:20Speaker 1: like me to try to get Brian Kelly and his
- 34:22Speaker 1: family on this? Yeah, Well you got a draw m
- 34:26Speaker 1: I need a mulligan, is what I guess. The mulligan
- 34:29Speaker 1: is you're moving off of it. We're drawing another one
- 34:31Speaker 1: for you. Do we have the hat somewhere? Yeah, we
- 34:33Speaker 1: can do at the end of this. Okay, so Eddie
- 34:35Speaker 1: is moving off. So now you're negative one. You need
- 34:38Speaker 1: to get one just to get even their compete for
- 34:39Speaker 1: five hundred bucks. Oh yeah, there's a prize, dude, I
- 34:42Speaker 1: can get Brian Kelly. But you know, I'm just saying
- 34:46Speaker 1: Jordan to give him. Is that in the rules or no?
- 34:50Speaker 1: I don't care what you guys. Yeah, you can go anywhere,
- 34:52Speaker 1: go anyway, kick off. Kevin. Mine is Jimbo Fisher from
- 34:56Speaker 1: Texas A and M and he was not talking to
- 34:58Speaker 1: give him. Um. Yeah, reached out email last week, email again,
- 35:02Speaker 1: called him the other day and uh, I've got nothing
- 35:05Speaker 1: but more crickets. Are you asking for mulligan? Yes, I
- 35:09Speaker 1: was seeing what your guys updates were in Mike, I
- 35:13Speaker 1: made bad too. If you so, you you're going negative one.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So let's go negative one time to move on from Jimbo.
- 35:19Speaker 1: And if you're saying the negatives, you owe me money?
- 35:21Speaker 1: Yeah we should, Adam. Uh sadly. I also got the
- 35:29Speaker 1: got the stiff arm yesterday from the Rutgers Athletic Department
- 35:32Speaker 1: who informed me that Coachiana was not going to be
- 35:34Speaker 1: able to make an appearance on our podcast this season,
- 35:36Speaker 1: but we could call him after this season and maybe
- 35:38Speaker 1: we could work it out. But I don't think it's
- 35:40Speaker 1: gonna happen. Do we email email the same person? I
- 35:43Speaker 1: don't know exactly what coaches is not. I mean I
- 35:46Speaker 1: got Pittman and he called. He popped right up. Yeah,
- 35:48Speaker 1: he's your buddy. I was about to say, that's a
- 35:51Speaker 1: little soft, like you know I can get the head
- 35:54Speaker 1: coach UCF. He's your buddy. No, no, buddy, do you
- 35:58Speaker 1: know who it is? Goes mail? No? Okay, now yeah yeah, okay,
- 36:02Speaker 1: Well Mike might get one and might jump in the lead. Here.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Do you going negative one? I'm trying to just say
- 36:10Speaker 1: how how persistent I should be? Like should should I
- 36:13Speaker 1: go back? But I think I'm gonna have to go
- 36:15Speaker 1: negative one too. I don't know. I don't think it's
- 36:17Speaker 1: It wasn't sounding pretty promise. I'm shocked that Kevin's going
- 36:19Speaker 1: negative one because he doesn't need to. He just hasn't
- 36:21Speaker 1: gotten a response. We gotta no straight, No, it's not
- 36:24Speaker 1: gonna happen. But the longer I wait, the more I'm behind,
- 36:27Speaker 1: Well you are I like not pursuing another coach, but
- 36:32Speaker 1: like I'm saying, I get it. But if you're not
- 36:34Speaker 1: going to pursue another coach. Sure, oh, I'm definitelynn pursue
- 36:36Speaker 1: another coach. But my point is you get to sit
- 36:37Speaker 1: at zero and he's all to go back to negative
- 36:39Speaker 1: one and never get anybody, and you win because we're
- 36:41Speaker 1: forced to punt. But the competitive I don't know. I'm like,
- 36:43Speaker 1: Damn needs something here, We've already called it. Okaya, do
- 36:46Speaker 1: we have the Yeah? But got before real quick, Okay,
- 36:49Speaker 1: I gonna read this. So I emailed JR. A Jones.
- 36:51Speaker 1: I was like, yo, dude, go on a show. It's
- 36:53Speaker 1: pretty good email. But and so we went back and forth.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Here's the update I just now opened for the first time.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Come on, Jerry, he said, a morning Bobby reaching out,
- 37:02Speaker 1: didn't forget you, expecting to review several pending inquiries. Inquiries
- 37:06Speaker 1: would Jerry later today, including yours. We'll beat you tomorrow.
- 37:09Speaker 1: He's like, He's like, first the agenda DA's return, and
- 37:12Speaker 1: then see if it comes on Tony Whistles. How about that?
- 37:14Speaker 1: What if I get Jerry Jones and you guys get
- 37:17Speaker 1: your Bobby freaking bones, that's nothing. Nobody cares. If Billy
- 37:21Speaker 1: Napier doesn't know Producer Eddie isn't doesn't care. Okay, is
- 37:25Speaker 1: he does? Trust me? You guys are a good guy.
- 37:26Speaker 1: If Jerry Jones comes on here, that's that's a that's
- 37:28Speaker 1: a big grab. That's pretty Yeah. Okay, here we go.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Um Eddie, you're up first, Come on, coach, coach, have
- 37:38Speaker 1: to change. You change your style though, because he's now
- 37:43Speaker 1: pronounce it. You have, Hey, you have Brian Killers He'll
- 37:51Speaker 1: be real Hold on, hold idiots, He's gonna have all
- 37:56Speaker 1: the time in the world, but he's not gonna be
- 37:58Speaker 1: a head coach the name. If you get Brian Harson
- 38:02Speaker 1: at any point that counts, that's what I'm talking about. Okay, whoa,
- 38:05Speaker 1: this is good. I did see him do an interview
- 38:08Speaker 1: with seven recently interviews. Just okay, you gotta change your
- 38:12Speaker 1: style out thank you. Whatever you did last time didn't work, Kevin. Yes,
- 38:16Speaker 1: your coaches, Oh, you never gotta get another one. It's
- 38:20Speaker 1: gotta saving. It's gotta be nick saving. You're never gonna
- 38:24Speaker 1: get Jim Harball. Oh I don't know. Hey, Okay, Ryan Hurd,
- 38:33Speaker 1: Does Ryan know Jim Harball? I don't know. Adam, let's
- 38:36Speaker 1: go you have Okay, this one can actually happen. Dan
- 38:39Speaker 1: it come on if Josh hypol Tennessee. Okay, let's go, dude,
- 38:43Speaker 1: he can get regionally relevant. I have friends in the
- 38:46Speaker 1: athletic department. Let's go. I think that could be one
- 38:49Speaker 1: you could get. Yeah, and we're on a Knoxville. The
- 38:52Speaker 1: show is you leave right now. You can get there
- 38:54Speaker 1: by three. That's true. Go interview yourself. You go to
- 38:58Speaker 1: the microphrself. All right, bring that in. Okay, so let
- 39:01Speaker 1: me talk about this Jordan. You have to go. You
- 39:03Speaker 1: should I get? Yeah, give me a minute, longer, give
- 39:06Speaker 1: me a minute. It says. It says like forty. If
- 39:08Speaker 1: I left now, I'll be there my plane leaves. I'm good.
- 39:12Speaker 1: That's too d risking it. You should get. He's a
- 39:15Speaker 1: country dude. I'll do I'll do anything. All right. Let's
- 39:20Speaker 1: talk about draft Kings for a second, because it's time
- 39:22Speaker 1: for the par Lady of the Week. Ready for this one?
- 39:26Speaker 1: I like that. I'll take him out fifteen and one
- 39:28Speaker 1: record up. Here are my teams for the Parlay of
- 39:30Speaker 1: the Week, and they're all money lines. By the way,
- 39:33Speaker 1: how do you feel about money line? That's a big
- 39:35Speaker 1: that's a big pair of any dogs and the thing
- 39:41Speaker 1: it's a it's a it's a Mississippi money line week
- 39:43Speaker 1: where I'm going Mississippi State money line and that line
- 39:47Speaker 1: is used. They're a favorite by three two and a
- 39:50Speaker 1: half over Texas A and m A. Texas an m
- 39:52Speaker 1: R Rank squad had a big one over in Arkansas.
- 39:54Speaker 1: I'm taking the Mississippi State money line, taking the old
- 39:57Speaker 1: miss money line over Kentucky, and I'm also throwing a
- 39:59Speaker 1: little uts say over Middle Tennessee. Middle Middle had a
- 40:03Speaker 1: big game. So it says it's a three partner money liner.
- 40:06Speaker 1: If you've got twenty bucks, you'll make right now sixty.
- 40:10Speaker 1: So that's my money line three gamer. I don't want
- 40:12Speaker 1: to go money line two gamer. That's week sauce. That's
- 40:15Speaker 1: my money line money line three gamer. There so that
- 40:18Speaker 1: that makes some money in fifteen and one, I'm about
- 40:21Speaker 1: to say you could be that. That's an that's an
- 40:23Speaker 1: eighteen and one. Feel to me? That to me feels
- 40:26Speaker 1: like everything everything, No, we just had to bleep this
- 40:32Speaker 1: whatever you heard, I'm not allowed to say. I'll say
- 40:34Speaker 1: this more smiles and frowns, more smiles and frowns, and

- 41:27Speaker 1: to do. Give me the college game you're most excited about, quickly,
- 41:30Speaker 1: eddie easy, Arkansas Alabama. I mean, sorry, I gotta take it.
- 41:33Speaker 1: You're gonna be awesome, dude, I'm one game you gotta
- 41:36Speaker 1: watch this week? Is that? Is that not everybody's I
- 41:40Speaker 1: don't know, but I was first. Wait, Florida State, Okay,
- 41:45Speaker 1: you can say the same game. Go ahead, I got
- 41:46Speaker 1: Clemson NC State. I think it's a big game for Clemson.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I think if they prove something, it'll be good. It's
- 41:51Speaker 1: good obviously Arkansas bis alarm all day. But Arkansas Alabama.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Planning my entire weekend around that, Uh, little worried. Fifteen
- 42:01Speaker 1: years ago, my wife and I first started dating. We
- 42:03Speaker 1: were in college. That was the last time Arkansas beat
- 42:07Speaker 1: Alabama has when lead tiff and missed three field goals
- 42:09Speaker 1: and uh and that was my wife and I was
- 42:11Speaker 1: first kiss and Arkansas has to be Alabama since so
- 42:14Speaker 1: I blame her and so and so in honor of that,
- 42:17Speaker 1: I'm not kissing my wife this week until Arkansas. That
- 42:20Speaker 1: you feel like that was like a leak urso moment?
- 42:22Speaker 1: Was that not like it like I was like that,
- 42:23Speaker 1: it's like about to pull out the head gear. Yeah,
- 42:25Speaker 1: that's pretty cool. I'm going yeah, Arkansas Alabama. I think
- 42:29Speaker 1: Arkansas has got a legit shot at winning this game.
- 42:31Speaker 1: If they win it, the West totally is up for grabs.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Arkansas gets right back into contention, and UM yeah, I
- 42:38Speaker 1: think it's a great game. I won't pick that one out.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I think L s U. Tennessee is interesting. I do
- 42:42Speaker 1: we play opera in this weekend? I just with you second,
- 42:49Speaker 1: I thought we played all I hear my gal. I
- 42:52Speaker 1: bring that up because I'm gonna talk games with you here.
- 42:55Speaker 1: By the way, my game also will be Arkansas Alabama.
- 42:58Speaker 1: That was easy. Michigan minus eleven. I'm just gonna go in.
- 43:01Speaker 1: I don't care. I'm not I don't have perfect recordy,
- 43:02Speaker 1: I'm not precious about it anymore. Let's go balls to
- 43:04Speaker 1: the wall. Who the who the Iowa? Iowa got Michigan
- 43:09Speaker 1: minus eleven, number four team on the road. Michigan minus eleven.
- 43:14Speaker 1: More smiles and frowns. Next up, Oh you minus six
- 43:19Speaker 1: and a half? You trust them again? Because they're mad?
- 43:22Speaker 1: All right? Because I'm gonna have to watch that game
- 43:24Speaker 1: and I need to bet on it in order to
- 43:26Speaker 1: root for them. You want some smiles? Who wants to smile.
- 43:28Speaker 1: I want to smile. I think you're in the money
- 43:30Speaker 1: for sure. I think, oh you and Michigan's those are
- 43:33Speaker 1: hammer thought them all. Number one NFL game you're excited about,
- 43:35Speaker 1: go Eddie, Cowboys, Washington Bias, Alarm, Chiefs, Bucks, my homes, Brady,
- 43:42Speaker 1: come on, Adam, Cowboys Commanders. I just I want to
- 43:47Speaker 1: see what the Cowboys are made of? Can they keep
- 43:48Speaker 1: can they keep winning without that? Jordan Chiefs books? How
- 43:52Speaker 1: about Jacksonville Philly? That's for me. Yeah, nobody wants to
- 43:55Speaker 1: jacksonal for anything. I pick them every week because I'm
- 43:57Speaker 1: just like I'm telling you they're good. I'm like Jordan
- 43:58Speaker 1: with that one. I don't know who jack Smila's yet, Yeah,
- 44:02Speaker 1: Lawrence yet. And if you have watched them, you do.
- 44:04Speaker 1: You just they've sucked for so long you don't believe
- 44:06Speaker 1: what you're seeing with your own eyes. There's some truth there.
- 44:09Speaker 1: But also Jalen Hurts is that Eagles team is good.
- 44:12Speaker 1: That's that's a legit team. The scariest thing to me
- 44:15Speaker 1: about that Eagles team is that Jalen Hurts plays a
- 44:17Speaker 1: little too reckless running the ball. Yeah. He That's why
- 44:21Speaker 1: I said about your boy in Arkansas too. You laughed
- 44:23Speaker 1: at me. He's huge though, and yes, I agree. Okay, look,
- 44:27Speaker 1: we're gonna go to the Ricky Williams interview. Now we're
- 44:29Speaker 1: gonna come back with the final thought. Let me say
- 44:31Speaker 1: this about Ricky. I love him. Not what I thought
- 44:34Speaker 1: we were going to do in this interview, but enjoy Ricky.
- 44:37Speaker 1: How are you? I'm great? Thanks for the time. One
- 44:40Speaker 1: of my guys just came up to me a second
- 44:41Speaker 1: ago and said that you have changed your name, and
- 44:43Speaker 1: I was like, wait, am I not? I don't know
- 44:45Speaker 1: what I'm supposed to do here? Are you still Ricky Williams? Yeah,
- 44:48Speaker 1: I have. I have. I'm a Gemini, so I'm allowed
- 44:50Speaker 1: to have two two names. What do I call you?
- 44:53Speaker 1: Can I call you Ricky? Yeah? Please? Whatever whatever is
- 44:56Speaker 1: more comfortable to you. Just just making sure I'm not
- 44:58Speaker 1: doing the wrong thing here. I I definitely don't want
- 45:00Speaker 1: to be insulting in anyway. It's really, really, really difficult
- 45:03Speaker 1: to insult me, so I don't worry about it. It's
- 45:06Speaker 1: the opposite for me. I get insulted all the time
- 45:08Speaker 1: for everybody. So, uh, you know, let's I first want
- 45:11Speaker 1: to go back and and just talk for a second
- 45:13Speaker 1: about Texas. Um, you know, I lived in Austin for
- 45:17Speaker 1: twelve thirteen years. I've definitely I'm a big Arkansas guy,
- 45:20Speaker 1: but I've definitely lived in the University of Texas culture
- 45:23Speaker 1: for a long time. Like what is happening at Texas
- 45:26Speaker 1: right now? Honestly, I live in southern California and I
- 45:30Speaker 1: get back to Texas for a couple of games, but
- 45:32Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not really that connected with the program.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I'm so busy doing, you know, running three startups that
- 45:39Speaker 1: I don't have the time to keep to keep tabs
- 45:41Speaker 1: on Texas right now. So are you Are you interested
- 45:43Speaker 1: in football at all? As far as keeping up with
- 45:45Speaker 1: college football period, I'm interested in in what like the
- 45:49Speaker 1: spirit of college sport. I'm in what sports can can do,
- 45:55Speaker 1: can how it can help us train us to attack
- 45:57Speaker 1: gold and help us learn how to handle life. But
- 46:00Speaker 1: as far as following the storylines the drama, you know,
- 46:04Speaker 1: a lot of that brings up a lot of stuff
- 46:07Speaker 1: for me. You know, It's like it's like when you're
- 46:09Speaker 1: in the football world and you lose, it's like the
- 46:12Speaker 1: world ends for at least three or four days, you know,
- 46:16Speaker 1: And just writing that roller coaster It's one thing as
- 46:18Speaker 1: a fan, but when you're like when you're the soldier
- 46:22Speaker 1: on the battlefield, it's really intense and so kind of
- 46:25Speaker 1: been retiring. I retired from an intense up and down
- 46:29Speaker 1: of packing the storylines of who's winning and who's not.
- 46:32Speaker 1: When you were in high school and you were the
- 46:35Speaker 1: number one running back in the entire country and you're
- 46:37Speaker 1: being recruited, what is it like for people to be
- 46:40Speaker 1: to come from all over to tell you, hey, you're
- 46:42Speaker 1: the best and we want you. Is that overwhelming at all? No? No, Um,
- 46:46Speaker 1: because my goal was to be the best, and so
- 46:49Speaker 1: it was validated whenever they're saying, hey, you know, come
- 46:53Speaker 1: to this university, or did you ever have a second
- 46:56Speaker 1: where you thought, hey, maybe because you're also a great
- 46:58Speaker 1: baseball player. Um, you know you signed with Phillies, But
- 47:02Speaker 1: did you ever have a second we're like, maybe I
- 47:03Speaker 1: want to play baseball because it's not as physical. No. No,
- 47:07Speaker 1: I mean I can look back and say that makes sense,
- 47:10Speaker 1: But I didn't care about how physical. You know, I
- 47:12Speaker 1: couldn't have been of the kind of running back I
- 47:15Speaker 1: was if I cared about how physical the game was.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I mean, I used the physicality of the game to
- 47:20Speaker 1: my advantage. The people who thought, maybe I want to
- 47:22Speaker 1: play a different game because this is too physical, those
- 47:25Speaker 1: were the guys I was trying to go after. How
- 47:27Speaker 1: easy was high school football for you? I don't think
- 47:29Speaker 1: football has ever been easy for me. Um. I think
- 47:32Speaker 1: what is easy is to work hard. And I think
- 47:36Speaker 1: because I applied that skill or that talent to football,
- 47:39Speaker 1: it became really good at it. You know, you talk
- 47:41Speaker 1: about all the startups that you're running now, So describe
- 47:44Speaker 1: a day to me. Will you wake up in the morning,
- 47:47Speaker 1: and I'm sure your mind's going in a lot of
- 47:49Speaker 1: places all at once. What are you wait? The first
- 47:52Speaker 1: thing your eyes open, what's happening? The first thing my
- 47:54Speaker 1: eyes open, and the first the first thought in my
- 47:56Speaker 1: mind is honestly, I when I'm laying in bed, when
- 48:00Speaker 1: I pray, first, you know, I do my morning like alignment, uh,
- 48:04Speaker 1: and then and then I do my morning ritual, and
- 48:07Speaker 1: then my mind goes straight to my calendar because like
- 48:10Speaker 1: I said, I'm running three different startups in there. I'm
- 48:13Speaker 1: trying to create more overlap. But but it's a process,
- 48:17Speaker 1: and so there's you know, there's three companies that are
- 48:20Speaker 1: that are going and I have different levels of responsibility
- 48:23Speaker 1: to each and then manifests through my calendar. So I think, okay,
- 48:26Speaker 1: what's all my calendar? I look at the calendar and
- 48:28Speaker 1: I come to terms with like what's going to be
- 48:30Speaker 1: required of me for the day, and then I and
- 48:33Speaker 1: then I hit it. Talk to me about meditation for
- 48:35Speaker 1: a second, something I've struggled with as far as man.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I've tried, and it's a lot of work, and I'm
- 48:41Speaker 1: I'm okay with the work, but I struggle like focusing
- 48:45Speaker 1: and staying focused and spending time on on just the
- 48:49Speaker 1: one thought. And I've got a little better. But is
- 48:52Speaker 1: it something that you have gotten a lot better at?
- 48:54Speaker 1: Do you do it often? Yeah? So, you know, so
- 48:58Speaker 1: my training as a professional athlete requires a lot of training.
- 49:02Speaker 1: So when I retired in two thousand and four, I
- 49:04Speaker 1: found myself living at a yoga ashram and and it's
- 49:08Speaker 1: spiritual training. So I was we were meditating twice a day.
- 49:11Speaker 1: You know, we're meditating for at least an hour a day.
- 49:13Speaker 1: So when you do that for a long period of time,
- 49:15Speaker 1: anything you do consistently for a long period of time,
- 49:18Speaker 1: you get better at um. But you know the simple
- 49:21Speaker 1: idea and you you really got to the core of
- 49:23Speaker 1: it with meditation is just you know, resting on one thought.
- 49:27Speaker 1: So any time you're doing anything you love, that's a
- 49:30Speaker 1: meditation because and the reason it feels good is because
- 49:33Speaker 1: the mind is focused right. And I think if if
- 49:36Speaker 1: it's something that you want to become really good at,
- 49:39Speaker 1: then you practice right like anything. And that's where they
- 49:41Speaker 1: call a meditation practice. What yea God, I was just
- 49:45Speaker 1: gonna ask you about that, Like, what do you think
- 49:46Speaker 1: the benefits are? Because I've spoken to a lot of
- 49:49Speaker 1: people about how I can get better in different types
- 49:51Speaker 1: of meditation, even transidental meditation. There's there's you know, different
- 49:54Speaker 1: apps that I used. What are the big benefits? Two
- 49:57Speaker 1: folks that aren't very familiar with it and possibly go Okay,
- 50:01Speaker 1: I could use this, but what can they get out
- 50:03Speaker 1: of it? So meditation in my from where I come from,
- 50:07Speaker 1: it's part of a larger system of self culture, cultivating
- 50:12Speaker 1: becoming a better person. And one of the things that
- 50:15Speaker 1: keeps us from being better people as the mind, the mind,
- 50:19Speaker 1: you know, the mind starts going crazy and we have
- 50:21Speaker 1: to try to deal with it. And so meditation is
- 50:23Speaker 1: really the process of learning to understand and have a
- 50:27Speaker 1: better relationship with your mind. And so it's like the
- 50:30Speaker 1: practice of of sitting, you know, and letting all the
- 50:33Speaker 1: crazy thoughts die down, and then you can hear the
- 50:36Speaker 1: whispers of like your soul or what you really want
- 50:39Speaker 1: to do in life. And then you come out and
- 50:41Speaker 1: as you go through the day you have all the pressures,
- 50:44Speaker 1: but because you had that meditation, you can still hear
- 50:46Speaker 1: that little voice inside and that helps life become more meaningful.
- 50:50Speaker 1: So clarity you meditation is maybe for me, I know
- 50:54Speaker 1: that's what I'm chasing a little more clarity. Is that
- 50:58Speaker 1: still what you're like? What what is your goal right now?
- 51:00Speaker 1: As a as a human being? I'm talking about business.
- 51:03Speaker 1: We'll get back to it, but like as a human
- 51:04Speaker 1: being on this planet, Like, what's what's for Ricky Williams
- 51:07Speaker 1: to do right now? I just want to point out
- 51:09Speaker 1: you said not business. I'll get back to that. To me,
- 51:13Speaker 1: being a human being and being a parent or being
- 51:15Speaker 1: in a it shouldn't be separate. You know. The whole
- 51:18Speaker 1: idea is I show up in my business as a
- 51:21Speaker 1: human being, otherwise what am I doing? So it's to me,
- 51:24Speaker 1: it's all it's all connected, and I feel like I'm
- 51:27Speaker 1: I'm at midlife, and I feel like the first half
- 51:29Speaker 1: of life is like an experiment. You're trying to figure
- 51:32Speaker 1: out who you are and what you're what you're here
- 51:33Speaker 1: to do. And I feel like if you do a
- 51:35Speaker 1: good job, the second half of life has been actually
- 51:37Speaker 1: doing that. And so that's what I feel like. Like
- 51:40Speaker 1: my job is to share the things I've learned with
- 51:43Speaker 1: the world, and as I'm doing that, I keep learning
- 51:45Speaker 1: more and I keep having more to share. Let me
- 51:47Speaker 1: talk about Draft Kings for a second, the NFL actions
- 51:49Speaker 1: and full swing here a Draft Kings sports book, an
- 51:51Speaker 1: official sports betting partner of the NFL. We're talking touchdowns

- 52:38Speaker 1: nine eight nine, you know you're called eight seven seven
- 52:40Speaker 1: eight hope and wire texts hoping and yo six seven
- 52:42Speaker 1: three six nine And now back to the interview with
- 52:44Speaker 1: Ricky Williams. You know, I want to talk about, uh,
- 52:47Speaker 1: you know, what you're doing with the cannabis lifestyle brand.
- 52:49Speaker 1: But uh, in the state of Arkansas where I'm from,
- 52:51Speaker 1: they just now put on the ballot recreational marijuana, Like
- 52:54Speaker 1: the Supreme Court just said the state Supreme courts that
- 52:56Speaker 1: we're gonna put it on the ballot. Arkansas is an
- 52:58Speaker 1: extremely conservative state. UM I've never smoked weed, but I'm
- 53:02Speaker 1: so pro making it legal recreational because I've seen it
- 53:06Speaker 1: do a lot of great things for people friends with cancer.
- 53:08Speaker 1: I've seen it, um for I know people who can't
- 53:12Speaker 1: take medicine because they're allergic to it, but it has
- 53:14Speaker 1: numb their pain sensors, where doctors have even said, hey, look,
- 53:18Speaker 1: you should use cannabis because what you can't use are
- 53:21Speaker 1: these pharmaceuticals that probably aren't good for you anyway, but
- 53:24Speaker 1: you can use weed in these ways that will actually
- 53:27Speaker 1: make it a healthier transition to you getting healthy again.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Um So, whenever a state is finally putting it on
- 53:34Speaker 1: the ballot, and I'm I'm such a big advocate of
- 53:36Speaker 1: legalizing it, are you involved in that at all on
- 53:39Speaker 1: any grassroots effort with these states or are you just
- 53:42Speaker 1: in California now where it is legal? Are you working
- 53:44Speaker 1: to build that out? So our brand, the lifestyle brand,
- 53:49Speaker 1: the aim is to be a national brand. So yeah,
- 53:52Speaker 1: we we have our ears sometimes our feet, uh in
- 53:56Speaker 1: in every every market legal and non legal, because ideally
- 53:59Speaker 1: we want to be a presence in around the whole country.
- 54:02Speaker 1: So and the brand is is Heisman, right, I mean,
- 54:06Speaker 1: that's heisman isn't high hi g. I mean you get
- 54:08Speaker 1: to play on words that heisman and heisman um. So
- 54:11Speaker 1: that's the brand. So what what's the goal with this?
- 54:13Speaker 1: Because to me, it seems with talking to you and
- 54:15Speaker 1: knowing what your goals are the person, it seems to
- 54:17Speaker 1: be about more than just money, Like what's heisman to you? Well,
- 54:21Speaker 1: it's it's really it's an expression of what we've been
- 54:24Speaker 1: talking about, you know. And and I think I look
- 54:27Speaker 1: at like what do I have to offer? You know,
- 54:29Speaker 1: what do I have to offer? And a platform like
- 54:32Speaker 1: people listen? And I have experiences with cannabis where I
- 54:35Speaker 1: was in a position where I had to see how
- 54:36Speaker 1: do I use this to make my life better? And
- 54:39Speaker 1: so the whole lifestyle brand is about Cannabis is real,
- 54:42Speaker 1: it's coming. More and more people are gonna consume as
- 54:44Speaker 1: time goes on, but there's very little education about how
- 54:48Speaker 1: to consume it and what to do and how to
- 54:49Speaker 1: actually utilize it to become a better person. So our
- 54:52Speaker 1: tagline is spark Greatness. And one of the things about
- 54:55Speaker 1: athletes and cannabis is we the history has been we
- 54:58Speaker 1: just punish them. These people of that are that performed
- 55:01Speaker 1: to do wonderful things. We punished them for using cannabis
- 55:04Speaker 1: instead of asking like, how are you how are you
- 55:07Speaker 1: using it right? And and that's what I'm trying to
- 55:10Speaker 1: put out into the world to really change the conversation.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Do you look back now and you know what, we'll
- 55:15Speaker 1: use the word trouble or you know, whenever you would
- 55:17Speaker 1: get the league would come to you and say, okay,
- 55:19Speaker 1: we're gonna suspend you. Do you look back now and
- 55:21Speaker 1: be like I told you guys, You guys were way
- 55:22Speaker 1: too harsh back then. And if you've only been born
- 55:24Speaker 1: fifteen years later, like it wouldn't have been as much
- 55:26Speaker 1: of an issue. No, no, no, no, I don't have
- 55:28Speaker 1: that kind of emotion around it. When I, as I
- 55:31Speaker 1: was going through everything, you know, I thought about all
- 55:33Speaker 1: of the great men in history, you know, and and
- 55:36Speaker 1: the tribulations and trials they had to go through, and
- 55:39Speaker 1: I just identified with them, and so it actually made
- 55:42Speaker 1: me feel proud of being persecuted because I knew I
- 55:45Speaker 1: was right. At what age did you love football the most?
- 55:49Speaker 1: What a what a wonderful question, I'd say eighth grade.
- 55:53Speaker 1: At what age did you love of all the least?
- 55:57Speaker 1: I don't know if there was an every time a
- 55:59Speaker 1: time I didn't love football. There's football, and then there's
- 56:02Speaker 1: there's there's like my definition of football and what it
- 56:05Speaker 1: means to me, and then there's other people's definition of football.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I've always loved my definition of football and what it
- 56:11Speaker 1: means to be a football player. I've had issues with
- 56:14Speaker 1: other people's definitions of what it means to be a
- 56:16Speaker 1: football player. I'm anxious to know what your definition is
- 56:19Speaker 1: because I love where you come from just as a person,
- 56:21Speaker 1: and I watch clubs. If you're talking and um have
- 56:25Speaker 1: spent a lot of time listening to you, especially talk
- 56:27Speaker 1: about what we're talking about. Now, what's your definition of
- 56:30Speaker 1: football that makes you go out? I love this game? Well,
- 56:32Speaker 1: it's it's like a warrior sport where where the idea
- 56:37Speaker 1: is is different people come together to bring their their
- 56:42Speaker 1: their ability, and their talent to bear on a common goal.
- 56:46Speaker 1: And what I loved about being a football player was
- 56:49Speaker 1: it was there was a place I could go every
- 56:50Speaker 1: day and everything around me was pushing me to be better.
- 56:54Speaker 1: And also the courage, you know, is that every week
- 56:57Speaker 1: as a football player, you have a new challenge and
- 56:59Speaker 1: you have to find resources and inner resources to be
- 57:02Speaker 1: able to deal with that challenge, and I just love
- 57:05Speaker 1: that training. When you make a trip and you go
- 57:07Speaker 1: to the him Alayas, which I was reading about your
- 57:09Speaker 1: trip there, and you spend I mean literal years learning
- 57:14Speaker 1: about plants and learning organic ways to treat or to
- 57:19Speaker 1: use to make your life better, that is dedication. It's seemingly,
- 57:24Speaker 1: as you mentioned earlier, a similar dedication that you had
- 57:26Speaker 1: to make to being an athlete. I mean, do you
- 57:28Speaker 1: feel like that you're going into learning the same way
- 57:33Speaker 1: you trained to be? Uh, you know a premier athlete? Well,
- 57:36Speaker 1: it's who I am. So anything I take a serious
- 57:38Speaker 1: interest and I bring all of that energy to bear
- 57:42Speaker 1: upon it. Do people recognize you and you go, hey,
- 57:44Speaker 1: Ricky Williams, Like in the gym, are you still like
- 57:46Speaker 1: throwing up some massive way? And they're like, bro, you
- 57:48Speaker 1: still got it? Um No. But when you know, most
- 57:50Speaker 1: places I go, people they look at me and they say, hey,
- 57:53Speaker 1: you look like you could still play. And that's what
- 57:55Speaker 1: I mean, like their definition. I'm like, I'm forty five,
- 57:58Speaker 1: Like come on, you know, do you hop in like
- 58:00Speaker 1: a you know, a lit little flag game, maybe a
- 58:03Speaker 1: little neighborhood game and dominate? Of course, of course that
- 58:07Speaker 1: would be awesome, dude, you know, but but I dominate
- 58:09Speaker 1: on defense, so I'd like to play that linebacker position. Man,
- 58:13Speaker 1: that would be all they don't tell. I just show
- 58:14Speaker 1: up with the ricky. I don't tell anybody. I'm like,
- 58:16Speaker 1: I was gonna bring my friend. Uh, We're just gonna
- 58:18Speaker 1: We're gonna hop in a game. You play basketball, You
- 58:20Speaker 1: pick a basketball doll. Yeah, of course, can you shoot?
- 58:22Speaker 1: Of course, I don't know what you're saying. Of course,
- 58:25Speaker 1: I don't know if you could shoot. You just body
- 58:27Speaker 1: people down low. I don't know you can shoot me.
- 58:30Speaker 1: I'm an athlete, you know. I figured it out. All right, Well,
- 58:33Speaker 1: you play pickleball? No, but is that what is pickleball?
- 58:37Speaker 1: It sounds familiar. So it's like tennis, but with whiffleball. Okay, yes,
- 58:41Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean you you would dominant. I
- 58:43Speaker 1: assume the hand eye coordination is still good. Yeah. Like
- 58:46Speaker 1: I live, I live right down the street from Venice
- 58:48Speaker 1: and there's pickleball courts there and people are always always playing. Yeah,
- 58:52Speaker 1: I've been I've picked up golf lately. I've been playing more.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Probably the best round just last week. I mean, that's
- 58:57Speaker 1: the game where if you can like meditate and focus
- 58:59Speaker 1: and real is that life is not over after one
- 59:01Speaker 1: bad shot. I mean that's a metaphor for life. Right.
- 59:03Speaker 1: It's your ball goes in the woods. What do you
- 59:04Speaker 1: do next? That's part that's part of it. But part
- 59:07Speaker 1: of it is if you focus on the ball, I
- 59:09Speaker 1: won't go in the woods. So but yes, it's both right,
- 59:12Speaker 1: It's one of the reminder just focus on this one thing.
- 59:14Speaker 1: And too, if you miss, it's not the end of
- 59:17Speaker 1: the world. You have another opportunity to just focus on
- 59:19Speaker 1: this one thing. I don't know, Ricky, I focus real hard.
- 59:21Speaker 1: It goes right in the woods and water, woods and
- 59:23Speaker 1: water constantly. Let me say that you guys. The instagram
- 59:26Speaker 1: is at heisman um. Ricky Williams just a big fan
- 59:30Speaker 1: back in the day, big fan. Now. I love somebody
- 59:32Speaker 1: who knows what they want to do and does it
- 59:34Speaker 1: regardless of what everybody else says, go to or bad.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Like I respect that about you in so many ways.
- 59:39Speaker 1: And I think we're all just trying to find our peace.
- 59:41Speaker 1: And have you found your piece? Of course yes I have,
- 59:46Speaker 1: you know, but I found it. But it's more like
- 59:48Speaker 1: I found the formula. You still have to do the work, right,
- 59:51Speaker 1: and so if I lose the piece, I know how
- 59:53Speaker 1: to get it back. But I still have to do
- 59:55Speaker 1: the work to get what's so long as you ever
- 59:57Speaker 1: meditated four hours? Godly, I do like ten minutes, and
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I'm like, I gotta cook. Nope, gotta go run, gotta
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: pick up the doll. But practice, so it took me
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: a It took me a while, and I was in
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: a retreat like base, so I didn't have all those
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: things to worry about. All right, Ricky, I really appreciate

- 1:02:43Speaker 1: starting a professional pickaball league, and I saw Lebron and
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Darmon Green or buying a team. I reached out to
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Jaco and his friend of mine, and I was like, dude,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: we gotta buy a team in this we gotta get
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: our boys together and buy a team. And so we
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: don't have how much costs? Yeah, a team is how
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: many do? You don't know? But if Lebron, I don't
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Lebron and drama, it's probably too expensive for us. But
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: still collected money and getting a pickleball team a lot
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: of money. That's professional pickleball league. And then also, Aaron Judge,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I don't care. What do you mean you don't care?

- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I'm just saying I don't care. I don't care that much.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Doesn't I else care? I don't minimally. I look, I
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: love baseball in the nineties. Tony Gwinn I saw a
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: statin Oh my god, Tony Gwinn struck out like a
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: hundred ninety times in the entire nineties, right, and Aaron
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: Judge struck out that many times this season, Jordan, your
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: final thought? Final thought? Um for me, it's I'm a
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I think I'm a big Titans fan. Now go, let's go.

- 1:04:17Speaker 1: for five. That's not fair now he should get Yeah,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: that's tough for hitting. Okay, I'll be out of the money,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: but that'll be my Like, yeah, okay, if you bring
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Tannehill on here, then we'll be a friends. Then can

- 1:04:31Speaker 1: want him? Man, you like Tannehill? Yeah, he's a great guy,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: great guy. I saw him and a true food across
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: from me. Once. Didn't bother him. Someone went it right
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: in the middle of his food, bother him. I was like,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: don't do that. Wait till he's getting up. That's not
