- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry Katy and Josh six one hundred.
- 0:04Speaker 2: The mom is strong today with this one across from
- 0:07Speaker 2: me yell a lot of people about speeding and now
- 0:10Speaker 2: she's in here off the air yelling about people walking
- 0:12Speaker 2: their dogs.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Yeah, the mom is strong in this one today.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Well, because we were talking, I was on my walk
- 0:20Speaker 3: and I saw this guy who would not let his
- 0:23Speaker 3: dog smell of flowers. Like he was just pulling that
- 0:26Speaker 3: dog the entire time. I mean I was following this
- 0:29Speaker 3: guy for a good yeah, probably roughly a mile. Right,
- 0:32Speaker 3: it's along a stretch along the golf course, and he
- 0:35Speaker 3: he was just in front of me, but his dog
- 0:37Speaker 3: kept wanting to stop and smell, sniff and do its thing,
- 0:41Speaker 3: and he just kept pulling it.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean to the point.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Where this dog is like trying to, you know, put
- 0:47Speaker 3: its brakes on, like wait a second, I'm not ready,
- 0:49Speaker 3: but it's like, I mean the collar almost came off.
- 0:52Speaker 3: He was pulling them. I do.
- 0:53Speaker 1: That's a little Goldie fun.
- 0:54Speaker 2: But that's after like seventy five times squatting to pee,
- 0:59Speaker 2: and it's like there comes a point where you're like,
- 1:01Speaker 2: come on, I'm not here to get exercise.
- 1:03Speaker 1: You don't need and she's on empty, she's blowing there.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Here's the thing, like, you can make them sick, like
- 1:09Speaker 3: if they don't, Yes, they can get bladder infections if
- 1:12Speaker 3: they try and pee and then they can't and then
- 1:14Speaker 3: they have to stop mid whatever in their.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Mind do that all the time, I know, But you have.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Control over that. If somebody was pulling your collar, what
- 1:23Speaker 3: do it?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yeah, nice and strong. I've never heard that though, that
- 1:28Speaker 1: the dog can get a bladder infect Yeah.
- 1:30Speaker 3: No, it can definitely be bad for them. And so
- 1:32Speaker 3: that's the thing is I feel because this guy who
- 1:35Speaker 3: was pulling his dog, I also didn't know, like maybe
- 1:38Speaker 3: it was.
- 1:39Speaker 1: The eightieth time and this was.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Their walk, like because I know that there's difference, like
- 1:44Speaker 3: there's your long distance walk, but then there's the time
- 1:46Speaker 3: you just bring your dog out to do its business, right,
- 1:49Speaker 3: So maybe they had already done.
- 1:50Speaker 1: That about it. I don't know their story, But all.
- 1:54Speaker 2: The problem is to with the girl dogs, Like because
- 1:57Speaker 2: I'll walk with Nick Knack and Goldiefun and he's like,
- 2:00Speaker 2: you're gonna make people think you're like not letting the
- 2:03Speaker 2: dog poop because you can got the girl dog. You know,
- 2:05Speaker 2: they squat and then it also looks the same when
- 2:07Speaker 2: they poop. So it looks like she's trying to poop,
- 2:09Speaker 2: and I'm like, come on, so I generally have to announce.
- 2:13Speaker 3: She's not.
- 2:16Speaker 1: She's not empty. For God's sake, we're just trying to walk.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm reading this story here this morning.
- 2:22Speaker 2: According to a new report, most Americans now are more
- 2:27Speaker 2: likely to take cooking advice from a so called influencer
- 2:32Speaker 2: online than their own mother. Your own mother, who's been
- 2:37Speaker 2: cooking meal since the seventies. They say, yeah, I'd rather
- 2:41Speaker 2: hop onto the socials see what the influencers are making
- 2:44Speaker 2: versus try and mom's recipes that have been passed down
- 2:48Speaker 2: from generation to generations.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Sad statement.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I agree.
- 2:53Speaker 3: They like have asked my mom so much when it
- 2:56Speaker 3: comes to cooking, and I just hate that this next
- 2:58Speaker 3: generation is not gonna have that.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of sad. I think we're hitting a
- 3:02Speaker 2: point too where a lot a lot of people have
- 3:05Speaker 2: like those recipes and stuff that have been passed down,
- 3:09Speaker 2: So like, future generations aren't gonna have any sort of
- 3:11Speaker 2: recipe that mema had, you know, no more recipe boxes.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Knick Knacks got a recipe box. We go to it
- 3:19Speaker 1: from time to time. My mom, for sure does.
- 3:21Speaker 2: She had this dish called broccoli corn Bake that she
- 3:25Speaker 2: makes every holiday and we absolutely love it. It's one
- 3:28Speaker 2: of the best and for years and years and years
- 3:31Speaker 2: she said she would give it to Nicole, and then
- 3:32Speaker 2: it was like, well, after you get married to Jereber,
- 3:35Speaker 2: you can have it.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Here we are twenty some years.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Later, still she doesn't have it.
- 3:41Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, so she's like, when.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Your mom's gonna give me that, I don't know, you're
- 3:45Speaker 2: not in the You gotta have thirty years.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I guess you need to do more nicknag.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:50Speaker 2: So anyway, people would rather hop online and watch food
- 3:54Speaker 2: fluencers than talk to their own mother.
- 3:57Speaker 3: And that's sad, see, because like I feel like I
- 3:59Speaker 3: got my love of cooking and food from my mom.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Like I still collect cookbooks.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I thought, like, I'll grab one of my cookbooks and
- 4:06Speaker 3: sit on the couch and read it still like it's
- 4:08Speaker 3: really yeah, that doesn't surprise you about me, I know,
- 4:11Speaker 3: but I got my love of food from my mom,
- 4:14Speaker 3: and so I hate that this is kind of stopping.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, it is definitely sad. God, well, there's one
- 4:20Speaker 2: phone phone book food book that I should let you
- 4:23Speaker 2: borrow It's one that we got from Nick Knack's grandma
- 4:27Speaker 2: out in Iowa, and it was like years and years
- 4:30Speaker 2: of old ladies compiling this little cookbook. Yeah kid, you not.
- 4:34Speaker 2: There's recipes and stuff in there for squirrels. Yeah, no,
- 4:37Speaker 2: squirrels and possum. There's all sorts of wild things.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I wouldn't doubt that.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I have a cookbook that comes from the hometown that
- 4:44Speaker 3: I lived in back when it was Mercy Hospital, and
- 4:47Speaker 3: all of the nurses got together and put their favorite
- 4:50Speaker 3: recipe into this book. And so I have the Mercy
- 4:52Speaker 3: Hospital Cookbook of all their favorites. And it's kind of
- 4:56Speaker 3: like that, like you know, just the old school recipes
- 4:59Speaker 3: where worked with what you had and sometimes all you had.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Was a squirrel.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yeah there, kid, there's some squirrel crock pot recipes in
- 5:07Speaker 2: this book.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Funny enough.
- 5:09Speaker 3: It also has a few of those in the cookbook
- 5:11Speaker 3: You Got Me the Thug Kitchen.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that is a funny cookbook.
- 5:15Speaker 3: It is My favorite. Guess is that that I sit
- 5:18Speaker 3: on the couch and I read.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Because that one is like make some much I wish.
- 5:26Speaker 1: There's a lot of cussing in it. It's like so good,
- 5:29Speaker 1: but it is.
- 5:29Speaker 3: So funny, retained the entire night, like once I bust
- 5:33Speaker 3: that baby.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I know it's going to be a good time.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You know what.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I've noticed too, because I actually just did this last
- 5:38Speaker 2: night because I made some tilapia and I was looking
- 5:39Speaker 2: for some different recipes and I was guilty. I went
- 5:42Speaker 2: online to Instagram. I hopped on my Instagram app and
- 5:45Speaker 2: and just searched tilapia recipes on there. And I've noticed
- 5:49Speaker 2: now that they'll have stock footage of tilapia being made
- 5:53Speaker 2: and then there's an AI voice over it. Now, so
- 5:57Speaker 2: I'm like, screw this mask. And it's like and it
- 6:00Speaker 2: repeats over and over. Hmm, this looks delicious. I can't
- 6:03Speaker 2: believe this only took fifteen minutes to make. Mmm, this
- 6:07Speaker 2: looks delicious. I think it's over and over and over.
- 6:10Speaker 2: This is your sign. Call your mother. Yeah, call your
- 6:13Speaker 2: mom your get all over recipes immediately steal the recipe
