- 1:32it saves your life so basically we got a good one about cancer
- 1:35culture and basically what it is and with the
- 1:38like recent news of uh jimmy kimmel being
- 1:41suspended from his show due to his
- 1:44comment with charlie kirk you know we're gonna
- 1:47get into the bottom of things and once again feel free

- 2:09Yeah follow me on my socials feel free that's a little gofundme
- 2:12campaign do that thing do all that
- 2:15good stuff because once again deconstruct the
- 2:19type of podcast oh we on a we on a roll we on a mission and we make it happen
- 2:25that's for sure and it's one of those things that i tell people and you know
- 2:29this is like my point of view and always my uh my observation my point of view
- 2:34my opinion has nothing to do with any organizations that I belong to.
- 2:39It's just that my observation and the way I see things.
- 2:43Now, cancer culture, you know, for those, again, who are wondering what is cancer
- 2:47culture, you might not hear or hear the word cancer culture in itself.
- 2:52You basically have heard what have happened when either anyone,
- 2:57it could be somebody famous, you know, musician, In this case,
- 3:01let's say Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the Jimmy Kimmel Life, J.K.
- 3:05Rollins, the author of the Harry Potter books, who have made comments like, how can I say?
- 3:11So she's a feminist and she's a feminist first, meaning that she's a pro woman.
- 3:16And it looks like she's not a fan of the transgender community in terms of those
- 3:22who were biological men who became women.
- 3:26You know she's her stance is that hey listen a
- 3:29woman is a woman you know that's the final
- 3:32you know that's it and then we'll touch bases with that and
- 3:35then you know jimmy kimmel with the charlie kirk with
- 3:38the you know the assassination that happened last week
- 3:41you know still in this nation there's still kind of you
- 3:44know no pun intended but there's still kind of
- 3:47like residue you know from from what happened in a
- 3:50sense you could still smell the wound to the the the
- 3:53you know you could smell the whole
- 3:56situation is still in there so it's one of those things that
- 3:59now is like pow pow pow now off the bat i'm gonna say this four minutes into
- 4:04it is that i'm not a fan of cancer culture even if i don't agree on the person
- 4:09and i remember this as a puerto rican kid and i'll give you an example there
- 4:14was an episode of those who remember or those who were fan of the.
- 4:19Seinfeld, the comedy Seinfeld.
- 4:21I think there was an episode, something about Puerto Rico that, you know,
- 4:25something, there was a comment I should have done my research,
- 4:29because when I do podcasts I like to just,
- 4:31off the pause, and I do research but I like to kind of like,
- 4:35off the pause, because I wanted to kind of like, educate people in what cancer
- 4:40culture is, and how can we kind of fight it and avoid it, because it's one of those things where.
- 4:46I don't like it, but I don't like it in a sense, is this.
- 4:50And I'm going to go back to the situation with Puerto Rico.
- 4:53As a matter of fact, let me just touch on that Puerto Rico. So basically,
- 4:56there was something where in an episode that a lot of people didn't like,
- 5:00especially Puerto Ricans, but basically they requested or demanded that that
- 5:05episode would never be shown or something to that effect.
- 5:08And, you know, Seinfeld and a Seinfeld show, they apologize.
- 5:11So, you know, that's an example of what cancer culture is, where you basically
- 5:16something happened that offended a group or offend somebody or something to
- 5:20that effect. And we go on a little boycott thing.
- 5:22And what happens is that because of that boycott or and I'm going to say that
- 5:27if they cancel or you are, let's say, someone who has been canceling,
- 5:34where you have to kind of take out an episode of this or you have to kind of
- 5:37obey to the mob and so on, then they succeeded. and what the boycott is.
- 5:42But my issue is this. And time and time and time and time.
- 5:45And I'm going to bring politics because a lot of times the cancel culture involves politics. Many times.
- 5:53Many times. Ideologies, at least.
- 5:56So, you see, that's why I don't necessarily like to kind of talk about policies
- 6:01when it comes to politics because, you know, we're going to throw in policies,
- 6:05but it's the philosophy behind certain things.
- 6:08Because, again, I'm in New York City, 30 years, and people in the bottom are still black people.
- 6:14What policies have anyone created to take them out? Like, not help them,
- 6:18but just to take them out.
- 6:19If I decide to run for mayor, I got you. I got you, my black community, Latinos. I got you.
- 6:27We are taking you out the hood. We are putting somebody else in.
- 6:31Somebody else is turning. We'll figure this one out. But you already know,
- 6:34it's just that idea that if you say something and someone get offended,
- 6:39it's that thing where people might say, you know what, I got offended.
- 6:42Did you get offended? Yeah.
- 6:43And then you grab all these people, they start to boycott and that's it. Right.
- 6:49And again, my thing is this when it comes to politics is that we're going to both sides.
- 6:54There's two sides. And I mentioned this on the Charlie Kirk.
- 6:57I mentioned this on the other episode.
- 6:59In this country, there's these two ideologies, the left, liberal,
- 7:03the right, conservative.
- 7:04And they both add each other. And I hate that sometimes these two groups.
- 7:08And they are groups that have means, money, to say, you know what?
- 7:14Let's, oh, yeah, this happened in these communities. Let's just rack up money
- 7:18and let's help this community. Let's do a toy drive.
- 7:21Let's do a food drive. Let's do whatever it is to feed Americans because,
- 7:25sadly, the government won't do it. But no, they spend more money going after each other.
- 7:30And listen, that money that you're going to go after the people that boycotted Jimmy Kimmel.
- 7:35In my understanding, it just the Jimmy Kimmel situation came that they're again,
- 7:41but the Charlie Kirk situation is that, you know, now, if you say something
- 7:47about Charlie Kirk, that's it.
- 7:50And these two sides of the thing, the left and the right.
- 7:53Hey, listen, I got to go for me. I could, that money that you guys spend going
- 7:57after each other, hey, whoo-hoo, hey, over here.
- 8:00You know what I mean? I got other people to feed.
- 8:03But it becomes something of,
- 8:05you know, in America, it's like a waste of time. It's a waste of money.
- 8:09I want to say, let people do whatever it is. We've seen examples of the cancer
- 8:14coach, especially with the, after the 2000s, especially with,
- 8:18look, cancer coach has been existed for decades. Gates.
- 8:22And it's funny because even though there are these two factions,
- 8:30the again, I always said the white liberal faction and the white conservative faction.
- 8:35And, you know, I say that those are the two, man. Right. Let's go to Hollywood.
- 8:39There was a time that there was in Hollywood and Hollywood to this day is this
- 8:43liberalism kind of leftist thing going on there.
- 8:47I mean, for the most part, but there was a time that liberal people would work
- 8:53with conservative producers or people of that conservative right or whatever
- 8:58it is because they have money.
- 9:00So there was a time where, you know, when there was certain movies where if
- 9:05it became too violent, it doesn't matter if you're a movie star who was liberal, who was out there.
- 9:11There was a time that they respected where they didn't want to show certain
- 9:15things or whatever it is or say certain things because of the people that was
- 9:19funding, you know, the TV.
- 9:21And now there were shows, let's say, that started to open up and,
- 9:26you know, from the 70s to 80s, what's going on with racism and so on and so forth.
- 9:30And, you know, for the most part, there were these conservative people with
- 9:34money who said, hey, I'm up for it.
- 9:36But there was a time that these two factions was kind of like,
- 9:39even if we don't agree or whatever it is, you know, they'll do shake it up and
- 9:45let's do something for the common of all good.
- 9:48But I think that that's gone now. You know what I mean?
- 9:51And I bring that up because sometimes when it comes to cancer culture
- 9:54and you know we bring example or one of the examples here was the Aunt Jemima
- 9:59you know no for some reason so Aunt Jemima was this uh black lady with the thing
- 10:04you know was slave with the the rag and um you know my mother kind of looked
- 10:10like her a little bit I used to tell my mother hey mommy is that you.
- 10:13Is that you Aunt Jemima but it's one of those things
- 10:16that look listen if the back story was that there was that was a real person
- 10:21then you gotta ask okay who is gonna hurt and who's gonna offend you know what
- 10:26i mean but me growing up i remember one of the more sad cancer culture where,
- 10:34again i'm not a fan of cancer culture but this one i kind of did not agree on
- 10:38it because of my stance on where i was and it was the the group the dixie chicks
- 10:43it was that country music group i I think there was like these three ladies
- 10:47or something to that effect.
- 10:48And these ladies, how can I say they were against the war after 9-11?
- 10:54Because, you know, there was a time after 9-11 happened.
- 10:58Where now, out of nowhere, the United States is going to all these different
- 11:01countries, especially Iraq.
- 11:03Money's being spent. Food, oil, everything is up.
- 11:07And sadly, you know, the president at that time was George W. Bush.
- 11:12Sadly, because the media and the media has a lot to do with this, too, as well.
- 11:16Is that because the powers that be, the pro-war regime and the pro-war media
- 11:23and whatever, these warmongers.
- 11:24Sadly when these uh ladies started speaking up oh
- 11:27my goodness the backlash you have
- 11:30people breaking their cds you have people who
- 11:33were fans who'd like because the the the mindset
- 11:36or at least what the media was trying to convey back then was that the united
- 11:41states going off you know after saddam hussein because of freedom and 9-11 you
- 11:46know come on that you know at that time it was kind of obvious and i'm glad
- 11:50that people started to wake up and and there were people and media,
- 11:55fans who apologize and a couple of years
- 11:57later when the Dixie chick did their thing my understanding is
- 12:00that you know they had some type of success back you
- 12:03know doing a little bit too if I'm not mistaken but at least
- 12:06they did not tarnish their you know career that much well I take it back for
- 12:11those years they did but the fact is that they were speaking on something that
- 12:15America was so blinded on in China for us to wake up Phil Donahue was another
- 12:20one that at that time and this is where I started to kind of open up where,
- 12:26why was that cancer coaches that if you spoke against these wars?
- 12:30And again, you know, there's a lot of Americans who are anti-war for the sake
- 12:34of that money could be used for something else. And that's a valid point.
- 12:39I always ask myself is this, what if America, all the powers that be, decides, you know what?
- 12:47I will give you what you want. What is it that you want? It'll go from town to town, city to city.
- 12:52Let's go. And we're going to spend a lot of money, whether it's federal,
- 12:55the federal government will say, okay.
- 12:56And then we go to war, right? Or United States, whatever.
- 13:00And I said to myself, let's just say that if now you got what you want,
- 13:06will you still be anti-war?
- 13:07You know what I mean? that's an interesting thing but you know a lot of all
- 13:11these uh anti-war things come from that and sadly there was a time that if you
- 13:14were anti-war cancer culture you know cancer culture.
- 13:19The hard one here and it's it's one of the ones where listen even even people
- 13:25and this is the thing about cancer culture that even if you're standing where
- 13:30and i and i've come across people who are in the anti-Trump bandwagon.
- 13:36And yet their idea is that, hey, listen, hey, I'm not a fan,
- 13:40I would never vote for Donald Trump, whatever it is.
- 13:43But when it comes to a man is a woman, I still believe that a man is a man and a woman is a woman.
- 13:50That's my thing because I'm Catholic, I'm Christian, whatever it is.
- 13:53And they still, let's say, vote for Democrat, which that happens, I'm just saying.
- 13:57That even that person who would think that they are on the so-called right side of, you know,
- 14:05the caste culture, that you think that you will be protected because you're
- 14:08siding with the people who are you surrounded by, but you, you know, ultimately it's not.
- 14:15That's the thing with canceling caution itself and in general.
- 14:19And sadly, because the situation with it's 9-11,
- 14:24what happens, you know, obviously in Palestine, Gaza, where you take,
- 14:29let's say, an anti-Israel, even to say, hey, I'm pro-Palestine or something
- 14:34where, you know, you kind of point out, you know, Israel, why are they doing this?
- 14:39You know, you're going to get canceled. Hey, no, you can't say that,
- 14:42you know, whatever it is. And a lot of people, they'll hide behind freedom of speech.
- 14:47And I always said the thing about freedom of speech is, once again,
- 14:50it's more catered to the government in itself.
- 14:53So the government find these loopholes where they get these private companies to back them up.
- 14:59Because in reality, we're not saying that you cannot say, you know, certain things.
- 15:05What I'm saying is this, that if you're working for a private company,
- 15:09the private company have the rights to terminate you based on what it is that
- 15:15you said, based on their policies, because they might have an image.
- 15:20If again there are people that are being fired for saying
- 15:24going out there and kind of like celebrating charlie kirk's death
- 15:27there's companies that have fired those people people might
- 15:30say oh but it might not protect it with uh you
- 15:32know uh whatever the the freedom of speech whatever
- 15:35then you know for the most part i say no you're not
- 15:38protected again you know the protection of these
- 15:41things is more for the government once you work for a private
- 15:44company and i'm gonna bring an episode here um
- 15:47future episode is this thing called corporate personhood so
- 15:51basically when you're working for a private company or corporation it's
- 15:55like working for another person and when you work for another
- 15:58person is basically that's you and that person and if
- 16:01that person let's say is the person that is your boss you know you you report
- 16:05to that person if they have how can i say policies where you cannot they're
- 16:11not going to specifically say what you cannot say but if it's something where
- 16:14they don't agree with you because they got this general thing where, hey,
- 16:19you know, when it comes to the image of the company and representation and what
- 16:23we believe in, in our mission statement, whatever it is.
- 16:27They're going to say, well, sadly, you know, we don't agree.
- 16:31So just be careful out there. If you online, if, you know, be careful,
- 16:36who are you talking about, who you're bashing, whatever it is.
- 16:39Again, I'm going to say that I'm not a fan of cancer culture,
- 16:43but I think that more as someone that works and been working at least two decades
- 16:49in the labor movement and in the labor management side of things,
- 16:54is that you got to be careful with what to say in the public areas when you're
- 17:01working for a private company.
- 17:03Sometimes people, I'll give an example.
- 17:06Let's say you're a delivery person, right?
- 17:10And you work for a big giant company. You know, you deliver food,
- 17:15whatever it is that you do.
- 17:17And you don't know that the CEO is Jewish, right? And I'll give an example.
- 17:22And then you go out there online and you say, you know, you start bashing Israel,
- 17:26you start bashing, you know, whatever.
- 17:28And then you get a nice email from the HR saying, hey, you know,
- 17:34your statement that's not to match our values And so on and so forth And you
- 17:38know You probably say Hey listen.
- 17:40Whatever it is You're upset But then you know You find out Listen The CEO of the company,
- 17:46Is Jewish And basically If If you go on that train Then that's it You're gone
- 17:51And I'm just saying In general I'm just using this example,
- 17:54You know There's other examples as well That we could go on But again The cancer
- 17:57culture For me Not a big fan And just you know To me to kind of like Break it
- 18:02down It is what it is I get it But I don't like it Because again Americans.
- 18:07We'll spend more money. We'll spend more energy.
- 18:11We'll spend more of whatever it is to say once again, let's feed black communities.
- 18:17Let's feed some of these white communities. Let's feed people's minds. Let's help people.
- 18:22You know, holidays are coming up for those who celebrate Christmas.
- 18:26Thanksgiving is coming up. There are people out there that might not have the
- 18:30means to probably have a nice, good Thanksgiving.
- 18:32And even just so you don't have to wake up for Thanksgiving,
- 18:35I'm just saying, using an example, there's a lot of people out there that just
- 18:38might just not cut it. And yet there's going to be more funds.
- 18:43There's going to be more private company. There's going to be more individuals,
- 18:46going to be more government people that would use money to once again start a pro.
- 18:53How can I say a pro cancer culture and an anti-cancer culture campaign?
- 18:59And there's going to be millions and millions of money that's going to be flooded
- 19:04across the internet, whatever it is, just for the sake of something that we could just understand.
- 19:15Your opinion is your opinion. We understand. But a lot of people got to know your opinion.
- 19:21You don't have to tell that to people. You don't have to put it to public. You don't have to.
- 19:27Because, again, the whatever laws out there, freedom of speech,
- 19:31they don't necessarily apply to you the minute that you start going after private
- 19:38companies or going to these public, you know, things.
- 19:42Let me know what you think. You know, it's interesting. I mean,
- 19:45I could go on, but, you know, I just want to open up to what cancer kosher is.
- 19:49And I use a couple of samples of what have been going on with cancer kosher.
- 19:54Sadly, it seems that the Charlie Kirk situation is being co-opted for the government
- 20:00to say, oh, if you talk about Charlie Kirk and then it's going to follow up with these little tags,
- 20:06these little things going on, these little phrases,
- 20:10these words that now you can't even say it.
- 20:13And once again, both on the both political side, Democrats, Republican,
- 20:17liberal, conservative, left wing, right wing, all these people,
- 20:21they all need to. You know what?
- 20:22If there's one cancel thing, they should be canceled.
- 20:25Those two groups, those two entities should be canceled forever.
- 20:29And I'll guarantee we need someone like me to make sure that we cancel those
- 20:34people because I will guarantee once we cancel those people.
- 20:38America is going to be so peaceful and so cruel.
- 20:42You're going to see the lbgtq community going
- 20:46to church and you know hanging and having
- 20:49a couple of beers but some of these right wings and right wings are going to
- 20:52be dancing with the lbgt and then they're going to gather up and they're going
- 20:56to go to black communities and they're going to do something but they're going
- 20:58to do a food drive they're going to do whatever drive not a drive by hey hello
- 21:02no matter of fact even people that are anti gun or whatever it is they might
- 21:07join together and just, hey,
- 21:09practice, shoot the rocks, not at people, relax there. But we making it happen.
- 21:14Once again, hit that like, comment. I'm all over the place.
- 21:18T-GOOS TV, woo! Once again, download that app, T-GOOS, T-E-G-U-S TV.
- 21:25And your Apple, Google, Roku, Opu, woohoo. Let's go. We making it happen. I'm out of here. Peace.
