- 0:15SPEAKER_03: Let's start with Lil Durk little Dirk coming home.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, he's coming home! Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Dirk coming home, bro.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait, wait, is this episode 18?
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Let's see.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Oh shit, we we legal now.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: We legal.
- 0:32SPEAKER_03: Travel of the news.
- 0:34SPEAKER_05: This is absolutely insane news.
- 0:37SPEAKER_05: Everybody talking about a free duck.
- 0:38SPEAKER_05: Little duck might actually be free next week.
- 0:42SPEAKER_05: So there is a new update on his bail package, and if you saw the video I did on my main channel the other day, okay.
- 0:47SPEAKER_05: I'm hoping that little duck actually gets a bail.
- 0:49SPEAKER_05: You might be surprised to hear this.
- 0:51SPEAKER_05: You tell you the little duck's gonna be look.
- 0:53SPEAKER_05: Okay, you've got not guilty on this.
- 0:56SPEAKER_05: But look, it's 11 months till the next jump.
- 0:58SPEAKER_05: I think why not just little duck on bail.
- 1:01SPEAKER_05: Really switching the hell switching.
- 1:05SPEAKER_05: I'm quite happy for Little Doug to be up here for the switching doing.
- 1:13SPEAKER_05: I think he's I think he's learned his lesson, but I don't think he's dangerous to the community anymore.
- 1:17SPEAKER_05: I think doesn't matter what really matters in it.
- 1:19SPEAKER_05: This is my person that matters again.
- 1:23SPEAKER_05: This is other shit so much throughout a lot of this, I think it's been you know just so little respect for this woman who lost her.
- 1:32SPEAKER_03: Well, see, there's one thing I like about guy like Chapla Ross.
- 1:35SPEAKER_03: The reality is that Dirk got off on those charges and he can his opinion on the whole situation changed.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Look, if he found justice system should be what it is, right?
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Innocent until proven guilty.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: There, you know, you know what's the funny thing about the justice system?
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: It's justice for the people that want justice, it's not justice for the people that are actually seeking justice.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: So let me break this down the someone who's uh uh uh who you suspect, a suspect in a in a crime, right?
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: They're not seeking justice, right?
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: They're an inhibitor of justice.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: So justice is supposed to serve them because from their perspective, they're innocent until proven guilty.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: But what happens is, right, justice is kind of bastardized based on the family dynamic or what have you, whatever whoever's involved, justice is supposed to proliferate from their per from their view, and that's why now with social media and everything like now that we have justice is already given a a say in real time.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Whereas before justice fucked us over, but not in real time.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: We waited for it, right?
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Now it's like justice in real time, you get fucked by you're you're you're literally seeing it in real time happen.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: But justice is a very interesting thing because people like to say that word justice.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: I want justice, but it's really a selfish thing.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: And and actually, ooh, I will say in a different dynamic, but Pops told me this, and I never forget this.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: When when G-Dub died, you know, and he he said to me, I I never forget this.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: He at the funeral, he said, I said, I'm sorry for your loss, I'm sorry.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: He said, It's selfish for us to think about in a loss.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: There's no loss.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: That's a selfish way to think.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: And I feel like justice is similar, it's selfish because you just want somebody to pay, right?
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: It's not justice in a sense of what it's supposed to be, it's justice in a sense of you just wanting somebody to pay for what happened.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Whoever pays, even if it's wrongful, I just want somebody to pay.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: So that always stood with me, you know, in a sense where when somebody dies, everybody says, sorry for your loss or sorry for this.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: And he said, There's no sorry for my loss.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: It's selfish.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: I live with this person, I enjoyed this person.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Why would I be sorry?
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: It's a selfish thing for me to be like she's gone, you know, like it's not for me to decide.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: So justice is a very gray area when it comes to that because it's a self-fulfilling prophecy at the end of the day.
- 4:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 4:31SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 4:31SPEAKER_04: Yes, no, it's uh you nailed it 100% marble.
- 4:34SPEAKER_04: Um, it's a very selfish, it's like you said, at all costs you want justice too.
- 4:38SPEAKER_04: It's like you don't even give a shit.
- 4:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you just want justice.
- 4:43SPEAKER_04: It's like, yo, how do whoever is like whoever it's like those fucking like when Arnold's in a movie and he just takes out a whole country, he just wants justice.
- 4:51SPEAKER_04: Yep, and he don't give a shit.
- 4:53SPEAKER_04: But Dirk, Dirk definitely coming home, and he should have at least two albums in between that time for his next trial.
- 4:59SPEAKER_04: Like just flood that shit.
- 5:01SPEAKER_04: You're willing to do that.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: You know, Drake, you know, Drake mate.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: Drake Drake, Drake, all his street, he's about to get all his street cred back.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Drake's about to get all his because Drake has been paying, and and and it was verified.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Drake is paying for the legal fees and shit.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: And you know what he should?
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Because at the end of the day, there has to be a conundrum, there has to be a um a coalition with rappers and shit.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: Because at Drake is at the he's making 70 million a year or whatever the fuck, but he it he owes it to them in a sense.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: No, in a sense.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Because because look, listen, listen, Q, you know how it is, right?
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: We know how it is.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: You get to a certain point, what is it for Drake to pay three million dollars?
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: Nothing.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: Just if he if he spins that off and says, look, I'm gonna put three million into your how great, how great, no, but how great is it for Young Thug, I mean, uh not Young Thug, um Dirk.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: Dirk.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: How great is it for him to get off off of Drake's back?
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: Ain't no chasing running to Atlanta, ain't no fucking bullshit.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Like, this is a this is a great investment for Drake.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Honestly.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: If five million dollars cost you street cred, why you think you keep Jay Prince Jr.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: around?
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: Because these motherfuckers, yo, street cred, like we figured it out, right?
- 6:32SPEAKER_04: How much is street cred worth, yo?
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: No, no, but here's the thing snitching is a norm, right?
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: It's already established.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: So there's no like, oh, we gonna you we we we realize now if you're at a certain level, snitching is okay.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: Cause you um the old drug dealers and all that kind of shit, right?
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: The old fucking shit is okay.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: But even like a John Gotti and all that, right?
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: What happened was, you know, um Sammy the Boe snitched on him, right?
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: That's kind of it was kind of like where it was like, I'm the boss, and motherfuckers sit and watch snitches snitch on you.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: You almost sit and watch it.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: You almost like, okay, I I took care of these people.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: Now it's kind of the reverse where the boss is like, fuck this bullshit.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: And so for Drake's perspective, Drake's never been labeled a snitch.
- 7:27SPEAKER_03: Where he's no, and he doesn't, he's not, I don't know what he's a criminal.
- 7:31SPEAKER_03: He might have financial crimes under his belt.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: No, but but but I don't think he's you know, he ain't out there shooting at people and doing all that.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: But exactly, exactly.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: He so it's crazy because Drake's not living the life of the rappers and shit that right are living that life.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: He's bucked the trend, came up with number one albums and shit, and then he pays the motherfuckers' lawyer fees for the one that's living trying to live that life.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: It's bro, it's like some trolley, it's some like some Willy Wonka shit.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: Like well, Dirk came from that life, he wasn't trying to live that life.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: I don't need the candy, but I'm I'm paying for the candy manufacturing.
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: I don't eat the candy, I'm not, I don't eat, you know, but Willy Wonka, he didn't the whole Willie Walker movie, he didn't he never had no fucking candy.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: He wasn't eating lollipops, but you know what was happening?
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: Everybody around him wanted to see how it's all being made.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: Drake is like the Willy Wonka.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: He's like, he's making it, he's he's he's really doing high level on how hip-hop is being made, and all the motherfuckers that are we don't call wait wait wait wait wait we don't call this hip hop.
- 8:37SPEAKER_04: This this is this is uh pop, this is pop rap shit.
- 8:40SPEAKER_04: This ain't with with these guys doing what Drake does, they they're Drake.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: I feel like I feel like Drake is in the room.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: I feel like Drake, it's same like Jay-Z.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: Jay-Z wrote a letter on behalf of Dirk.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: So so you get to a point where you're like, yeah, I wanna I want to support the the hit the the the the movement uh the movement, even though like I'm I'm I have no connection to this.
- 9:06SPEAKER_04: Yes, hey, Jay-Z never heard a little Dirk song in his fucking life.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: No, but but it makes it makes sense.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: It makes sense.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: Just like just like Jay-Z pay, just like Jay-Z writing a letter, the same way Drake paying for legal fees.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: It makes sense because at that point in time it's fun.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: Like, listen, if I'm the if I'm the top rapper and I'm making 60, 70 million dollars a year, and there's a rapper that's like some hood rapper, right?
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna give him a million dollars and I'm gonna because you know how far that's gonna go.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Let's be honest.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: You know how far that's gonna go to give little Dirk a million dollars or two million dollars or Jay-Z to write a letter.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: Come on, bro, he's about to do the Super Bowl.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: He needs the entire constituency.
- 9:52SPEAKER_03: How y'all feel about that now that's official?
- 9:56SPEAKER_03: How you feel about Jay doing the Super Bowl now that's official?
- 9:59SPEAKER_04: I'm fine with it.
- 10:00SPEAKER_04: I'm cool with it, but but but it is time for him.
- 10:05SPEAKER_04: Listen, no offense, Jay-Z, we love him.
- 10:07SPEAKER_04: We love him, but he he gotta bring Ye out.
- 10:09SPEAKER_04: That's it.
- 10:10SPEAKER_06: Hope so.
- 10:11SPEAKER_04: If he brings Ye out, it would crush the world, yo.
- 10:15SPEAKER_04: Like it would literally the world would just be.
- 10:17SPEAKER_04: And Drake if he brought Drake out too.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, he's not gonna bring Drake out.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: He's not gonna bring Drake out.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: They have too much.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: Drake is the biggest artist that does not get respected by the those the other artists as the biggest artists, like Nas and all that, but Drake would never get like a lineage.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: You know why that is, right?
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: He's trying to fuck everybody's girl.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: That's the only reason why these motherfuckers don't know.
- 10:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the girl thing.
- 10:42SPEAKER_04: We we didn't make a song about like he didn't rap about it.
- 10:45SPEAKER_03: I lost a condom of the game.
- 10:48SPEAKER_03: I think we're gonna be able to do it.
- 10:51SPEAKER_04: It'll be discreet if they weren't saying because they yeah, they've shared the same girl since Pirate Starter Rapids.
- 10:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but we've all Drake is making records about it, yo.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: Okay, so so so Hugh, we'll tell you a story.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: But men is yo, these young dudes are sensitive now.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: They'll remain nameless, but we have a certain friend who played in the NFL.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: No, and that played in the NFL, and then he dated um Vivica Fox.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Okay, okay, and he used to reach out, and he was in Vivica Fox.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, he's and he met Vivica Fox in a you know college tour type of thing.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: But he was fucking Viv, and this is when Vivica Fox was at her highest, top five Hollywood stars and and then one day now, and then and then one day we were watching the Espie Awards, and I I feel like he was there, or he found out very quickly, and 50 Cent was sitting with Vivica Fox, and then at that point in time we knew it's just the industry.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: Oh wow, it's like it's like and she was and she was at the top of her game, she was at a rapper.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: I forgot what she used to look like.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, bro, yes, no, yes, I remember that.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: Vivica, she incredible, bro.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: She had a run, she had a run.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, our boy was fucking her when she looked like that.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: She looked like that 2005, yeah, yeah.
- 12:15SPEAKER_04: Smoke show.
- 12:17SPEAKER_04: Probably 99 to 2005, smoke show, top five.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: And yeah, oh, oh, oh, absolutely, absolutely.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: But then this happened.
- 12:24SPEAKER_03: You don't think she looked good now?
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: Uh I mean, she's 70 years old now.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: She probably got some before.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, look at that TMZ.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, she'll look bad either.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: No, she's still beautiful for a 70-year-old woman.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: But no, but when you're gonna be able to get a 56.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's close enough.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: In Hollywood, that's 70.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: I forgot she was in Independence Day.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: She was no, he was fucking with her when she was in her height.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: Like, this was like this was like Vivega Fox, like top tier.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, legitimate.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: This was like uh box office megastar.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, whoever you could put up with Vivica Fox, and then we saw her with 50 Cent, and then we said, He I think he was with us, and then we said, damn, kind of downhill after that, so young, yeah.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: We were so young that it was like and the SB back then was like we wasn't bro, she was much older, she's much older, so we was on her she we were younger than him, and so at this time he was probably like 24, and then we were probably like 21.
- 13:33SPEAKER_04: 21-ish, yeah.
- 13:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Angela Bassett has held up well.
- 13:36SPEAKER_04: She looks like Angela Bassett, yeah, yeah.
- 13:39SPEAKER_03: But like Love got to do uh we have you met her in person at the um African American Museum when it opens, so that was 2016 or 17.
- 13:50SPEAKER_03: Um and she was born 1958, so she was about Damn, my mom was born '63.
- 13:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she looked great.
- 13:57SPEAKER_03: She's 68 years old, but she looked amazing.
- 14:00SPEAKER_03: I'm like, damn, I'm gonna go on her Instagram.
- 14:03SPEAKER_03: 4.7 million followers.
- 14:05SPEAKER_04: Hey, look at this.
- 14:06SPEAKER_04: She's incredible, she's incredible.
- 14:09SPEAKER_04: So wait, so now how'd you guys feel how how do you guys feel about uh Jay writing a letter for Dirk?
- 14:15SPEAKER_04: But when Beans, his friend, so-called, yeah, his artist, okay, yeah, the judge asked him, hey, can you vouch for this?
- 14:22SPEAKER_04: Can you vouch for it?
- 14:23SPEAKER_04: He said just vouch for him.
- 14:24SPEAKER_04: You you he gotta live with you.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: I can't be responsible.
- 14:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, host that I'm not gonna be responsible and send his boy upstate for four or five years.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you sent him upstate?
- 14:33SPEAKER_04: Not for the stupid shit that he did.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, at some point, let's not say Lil Durk didn't have implications and and hey, look, he was exonerated in the court of law.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: I know, I know, but like, let's not okay, okay.
- 14:46SPEAKER_03: We can we can we can it's different when when you're trying to get you know what I mean?
- 14:50SPEAKER_03: Okay, beans beans pretty guilty.
- 14:51SPEAKER_01: Somehow, somehow, some somehow the guy that killed Vaughn has been almost assassinated two different times.
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's like so.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: I guess maybe it's a coincidence, but innocent to proven guilty.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: I still want to ride for the cause.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: So let's let that have a little bit of sympathy.
- 15:10SPEAKER_03: Look, look, look, look.
- 15:12SPEAKER_03: The kingpin in this matter was exonerated, so he did no crime, no harm, no family, in my opinion.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: And I and I want him to come home.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: So like at this point, definitely little dirt, little little J.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: Cole, little dirt, do duo again.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: But I don't want to, I don't want to go down a road of like I don't want to go down the road of justification.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Let's just talk about like our views of like, hey, you know, like this could be XYZ.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: I so Hove writing a letter for Dirk, I feel like is very strategic, which is everything.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: I feel like over time, Hove would have never written that letter, even if it was Lil Dirk at the time.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: If Lil Durk was who he is, when Hove, like let's say oh one, oh two, Hove wouldn't have written that letter.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: So it's it's a it's a sign of the times as far as like Hove is in a position that he's in, which he completely deserves, and he's worked for that.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: He's earned that shit.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's earned that shit 100%.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: Like Hove should call the shots when it comes to what he does, and he should have a weight, and and and when he writes a letter and that type of thing, in a jurisdictional type of matter, and he should have that, just like anyone else should have that, you know?
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: Um, a Kennedy or what have you.
- 16:29SPEAKER_01: Hove should have that right to write a letter and it have impact.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: And it have a way to get someone like Dirk out, because there have been a lot of letters that have been written that are the same type of way, the same type of ilk for someone else, right?
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: White collar crimes or what have you.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: And they get the fuck, they get out and they get home.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: And so we're at a time.
- 16:53SPEAKER_04: Dirk he he deserves that.
- 16:55SPEAKER_04: He deserves it.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: And and I feel like YML Melly, that kid too, man.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: He's been locked up for seven years.
- 17:02SPEAKER_04: He's been like seven years, yeah.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: He's crazy though, and and he, but but it at the same time, he hasn't been found guilty of anything, and he's served damn near half of a manslaughter case.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: And to be like home confinement, what have you, if however you want to restrict it, but man, he's been in in prison for he's been in a uh a chemistry.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: It's almost ten years, yeah.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he was he was yeah, he was like 17.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: Now he's like, yeah, I think it has been actually like close to 10 years.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: It's it there has to be a certain point in time where um the the indentured servitude, which you know, I understand, you know, when people do wrong and they need to be uh confiscated in a way, right?
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: But we need to, you know, really look at how we delineate what someone should be in chains and behind bars for.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: Do you believe in rehabilitation?
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: I don't believe in the death penalty either.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: I think the death penalty is if if if one person gets killed and they were innocent, that makes me feel as though the death penalty doesn't make sense because there's a lot of people that have been exonerated from DNA evidence or what have you that were on death penalty.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: And and so from my perspective, if you are going to give someone the death sentence, I feel like it should be dead to rights.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: I feel like the common sense of us, we know what it is, right?
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: This is not witch trials where somebody can read and they get stoned, right?
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: This is like a situation where evidence is in certain cases where we understand and know is pretty clear and cut.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: But in other situations, the death penalty case, there's a lot of arduous with that, with someone wanting to get a death penalty case because the prosecution that's a notch on their belt.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: And so it's like anything else, it's like becoming MVP of the league or what have you.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: You work for that, you know?
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: And prosecutors work for a death penalty case.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because if you get that's one of the hardest cases, big mark with your resume.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, it's one of the hardest cases to convict.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: It's it it it's literally um if you get a death penalty case.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, your notch as a prosecutor as or as a litigator and attorney goes up because to get somebody to death means that you're great at your job.
- 19:36SPEAKER_04: I mean, I mean, it's you know, it's a hard have you so you so you so you guys aren't gonna watch the um didn't Trump say oh no they're not a virus squad?
- 19:44SPEAKER_03: They're not gonna do that no more.
- 19:48SPEAKER_03: So stupid, yeah.
- 19:52SPEAKER_04: I saw that highlight.
- 19:53SPEAKER_04: I was like, what the killed this many people got shit with this many boats.
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: It's like the 1900s.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: Look, if that's the way they're gonna do it, don't put on TV.
- 20:04SPEAKER_03: And the dude was in a wheelchair too.
- 20:06SPEAKER_03: Like, how are you gonna like nine?
- 20:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, dude, the guy's like seven seven.
- 20:11SPEAKER_03: I mean, he he's been on death row for a minute, and because that happened a long time ago.
- 20:14SPEAKER_03: You know what, you know what would be actually worse?
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: I think well.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: You know what'd be actually worse?
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Just roam off of fucking uh Grand Canyon.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: The Grand Canyon.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, look, I mean listen, fuck a fire squad, be like, if you would like the whole thing is this is like if if we're gonna do like and and look, if it's justified, and I'm gonna talk about this as if it was justified, but I'm saying, if it's justified, just roll a motherfucker off a cliff, put him in a high air balloon and shoot and shoot at the high air balloon and be like, motherfucker, you thought she was gonna you you was living right now and you felt good.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Have the moment in time, because if you go inside of in front of a stone wall and you know you're gonna get killed, uh I mean, even though you're gonna get killed, it sucks.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: But you're there's a certain level, right?
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: But have a go down a canoe and then have motherfuckers shoot him a little bit, and then he drowned, right?
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: Like shoot him a little bit.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: No, but I'm saying have it be like, because when you know when you're in a fire squad, you're dead in thir fucking five seconds less.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like because multiple people are shooting you at the same time, and they don't know who has the bullet.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and they have good aim.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: So let him have go and you're like, oh, hot air balloon, and oh man, yeah, it's it's going.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then fucking hot air balloon flash.
- 21:35SPEAKER_04: The great candy one, you put it, you put uh like a rocket on the back of his stick.
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: You just yeah, you just like meltdown, you just like and then and then you do like one of these, like you you like and then back of the grid case.
- 21:52SPEAKER_04: You do like a fucking evil coding like the grocery, like a like an Aldi or some shit.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: And then you fuck with his head and you're like, oh no, no, we're not we.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Not doing that.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: We're not doing that.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: And then you kick him out of his chair and then you roll him out of his chair and roll him.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: And then you push him.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: He's fighting.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: He's like, no, no, no.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: Like shit like that.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: You know, if you want to really have it have an effect, but you know, I digress.
- 22:15SPEAKER_04: Yes, we have.
- 22:16SPEAKER_04: He, which, who, what you got?
- 22:17SPEAKER_04: You got WNBA stuff?
- 22:18SPEAKER_04: You want to talk about it?
- 22:19SPEAKER_04: Oh.
- 22:20SPEAKER_03: Oh, you want to talk about that?
- 22:21SPEAKER_04: What's the series right now?
- 22:23SPEAKER_04: It's 3-2, Valkyrie's.
- 22:25SPEAKER_04: And by lunchtime tomorrow, the series could be over.
- 22:28SPEAKER_04: Well, now, which can we talk about that here?
- 22:29SPEAKER_04: What's your take on?
- 22:30SPEAKER_04: By lunchtime tomorrow.
- 22:32SPEAKER_04: Well, it's true.
- 22:33SPEAKER_03: Well, if you're on the West Coast, maybe.
- 22:35SPEAKER_03: By the time you tuna sandwich comes out, the series is over.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: Who's your take on the player?
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: The Hucks gotta play game eight of the regular.
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: I want to say that the whole or the whole WNBA is just a disorganized, dysfunctional, stupid league.
- 22:52SPEAKER_03: They need new leadership.
- 22:54SPEAKER_03: The owners don't care.
- 22:56SPEAKER_03: They understand that even though the sport is growing, that I feel that it's gotten to a point where like this controversy between certain sets of fans versus the players versus the politics and all the other shit, everybody's just like whatever and mad.
- 23:17SPEAKER_03: And I'm talking from a leadership perspective.
- 23:19SPEAKER_03: And then the players and the fans are getting the short end of the stick with this bullshit because they're not focused on, hey, we are making money.
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: We are we do have viable players.
- 23:30SPEAKER_03: They're just sitting here trying to clear the fires of all the bullshit Courtney Cunningham's or Kate.
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: What's they say?
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: Well, Cunningham and all that.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: You know what's well, you know what's kind of interesting, which is which has made me think about the WNBA more so recently is that they've caught fire, but there is some motion against the WBA.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: I don't understand this shit.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: It's like WNBA has had all the things, all the accoutrement of like the NBA, the the the drama, and they got the look, and they got the this and they got the that.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: Star players, yeah.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: But there's something that's not like there's some invisible hand.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: Shout out to John Smith, uh uh which which uh which did an economics uh book uh right back in the day, but what with this it's like an invisible invisible hand like forcing the market away from them, even though it isn't like I I think about it like this is like if you have okay, have you guys been to an WNBA game?
- 24:34SPEAKER_03: Not since like 99 years.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: Well no, have either you have you been to a WNBA game, ooh?
- 24:42SPEAKER_03: Not a real thing.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: Is he frozen?
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, is he frozen?
- 24:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he's thinking, he's like, I don't know.
- 24:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, I think he's frozen.
- 24:50SPEAKER_03: You're frozen, bro.
- 24:52SPEAKER_03: He's like or you can be in deep thought, like girls playing basketball.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: Well, but he's frozen.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but the thing about the lobby are okay.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: Have you have you been to a WNBA game?
- 25:06SPEAKER_04: Me, yeah, I've been to many, many.
- 25:07SPEAKER_04: Okay, at least five or six, yeah.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: So I've been okay.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: So I've been to WNBA games as well.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: So you and I can relate to this thing very well.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: Have you ever purchased merchandise from a WNBA game?
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: You're sick, bro.
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: You're sick.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: No, I mean, I but I've been.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: You know what the funny thing is?
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: I've been to a hockey game and bought a hat or bought a fucking thing, right?
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: Jersey or something.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: Because when you walk through, it's like for even though hockey plays in the same arena, they proliferate hockey everywhere.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they they they put glass, they put shit in glass casing or whatever, um Ovechkin, whatever hockey.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: They they like make it like a situation, so you feel as though it's like you're involved into this.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: You go to a WNBA game, you you you're seeing hawk shit, you're seeing whatever the NBA team is, you know, and you could you could probably buy you could probably buy NBA shit in the WNBA.
- 26:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, 100%.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, I thought you can.
- 26:15SPEAKER_04: So because that's the best.
- 26:17SPEAKER_04: But I will say, like the games I went to, I went to back in like 98, 2000.
- 26:21SPEAKER_04: Well, no, same here.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: Same.
- 26:23SPEAKER_04: So that's a little different now.
- 26:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it might be a little different.
- 26:27SPEAKER_03: You went to buy mystics games, right?
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: But but but yeah, but but the whole thing is but the whole thing is that's how it starts.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: Because back in those back in the day when the bullets or whatever the fuck, when I used to go to you, the merch, like you it was almost like going to a concert.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: You'd have the thing with the ball, you can do the fucking and you have the ball with the bullets on there.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: Everything everything was ubiquitous about the team and all that.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: They they made it like an atmosphere.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: You go to the WNBA game, you go to the game, but you're it feels like you're kind of like the cousin going like you're you're not watching them playing.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: It's like the home arena thing.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: It doesn't feel like uh the WNBA takes ownership when they're playing games, that they have all the things that you can buy and vest into.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: It's like whatever they give you, if they put t-shirts out or whatever, that's what you're gonna leave with.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: That's that's the situation.
- 27:25SPEAKER_04: But I do I do feel like they are getting to that level though, and I think the popularity is getting there, they're at the level, so that's the thing.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: There's no scenario where should they should be shutting down their finals game early for a game six of fucking the Hawks six games in, right?
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: I agree with that.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: I agree with that, I agree.
- 27:46SPEAKER_04: And like the Hawks, uh if you said the Lakers or the Knicks, cool.
- 27:50SPEAKER_04: What are the Hawks three and two?
- 27:51SPEAKER_01: Like, and no one even cares about the one player on the Hawks, like it's 82 game season, and we're literally talking about like this is a conversation, right?
- 28:02SPEAKER_04: Yep, so the Hawks could have easily played at the noon 12 o'clock time and then let the WNBA have it at night.
- 28:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and it would have been all good.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: Well, that's the thing, is I feel like I mean, I'm I'm not in the WNBA or uh marketing or whatever, but I feel like there is an opportunity for them to sell more merchandise or jerseys and things because you really don't see I don't I've never seen anybody in a you'll see people in the NBA jersey at a WNBA game before you'll see people with a WNBA jersey.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: And there's there's there's a disconnect there as far as like why that is.
- 28:41SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, um you you should be selling Aja Reese jerseys, you should be selling Kaitla Carr jerseys.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: Like the girls like growing up, like coming up in this league, they should be all enthralled with that.
- 28:54SPEAKER_03: But I feel like I think they are they sell jerseys.
- 28:57SPEAKER_03: I think they're getting there, they're getting there.
- 28:59SPEAKER_03: But I'm just gonna buying them doesn't mean that they're not selling.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: But but I feel like the older the older demographic is more so the older dinner no, but the older demographic is more so the ones that are investing or trying to push the league forward.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: Like we'll think about it like this, Hugh.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: When we were in high school, we were we were the demographic.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: We talked about the NBA, we talked about players, and we talked about this.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: Like, you would be hard pressed to find a high school girl that talks about angel re we talk about it because we love basketball, we love the sports.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: They do it more now because of the no, but I'm saying, but but when we were when we were teenagers, it was ubiquitous.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Any teenager, oh, you see, we knew Van Excel, we knew fucking uh Eddie George, Vince Card, we knew all these, but you'd be hard pressed.
- 29:54SPEAKER_01: If you ask your nieces, Hugh, oh, what do you think about not angel reese or Kaylec Hart, because those are like right?
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: That's sure, sure, sure, sure.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: But like if you said if you said, hey, what are your top five, you know, WNBA players, right?
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: It'd be hard pressed.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: But when we were growing up, we'd be like they have to be in the sports, though.
- 30:14SPEAKER_03: If they're not in the sports, then but but not even in the sports.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: There were kids on the playground that knew who Magic Johnson was.
- 30:20SPEAKER_03: Who knew like I mean, who knew Michael Jordan was but that's the same as Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese?
- 30:26SPEAKER_03: You don't have to be a fan to know who they are.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: No, but but no, not necessarily, not necessarily a fan.
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: There was an opinion about it, not necessarily a fan.
- 30:34SPEAKER_03: Wait, they're they're they're their game.
- 30:36SPEAKER_03: The way they played basketball or their media.
- 30:39unknown: Yes.
- 30:39SPEAKER_03: So you're saying that somebody who knows who does not follow basketball knows how many assists because yes, because here's here's how here's because I didn't I didn't follow basketball back then, I didn't know shit.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: No, you you know how it used to happen?
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: I used to be I was a big Sean Kemp fan, right?
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: And and not every kid knew Sean Kemp.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: But what would happen is, but no, what would happen is was we would talk about basketball, we talk about this and that, and we pull out our basketball cards, and I'll say Sean Kemp averages 19 points a game and 10 rebounds a game, and I would go over the stats and be like, yo, that outlier doesn't exist, where we would have that conversation where it's like you don't have to be a fan of Sean Kemp, but if you're a fan of the sport and you know the major players, we would bring something into the into the situation as conversation, say, hey, you'll know about Nick Van Axel, yo, or you'll know about Tim Hart, you know, whatever.
- 31:30SPEAKER_01: And we would talk about these things, and and it would be like kind of a judgment day to say, Oh, you never heard of this person, or you never heard of this person.
- 31:38SPEAKER_04: We would bring other people in, and then people would be like, But let me let me let me ask you this, Marble, and 100% we all did, like you know, like basketball cards back in the day were like I mean that shit was like a platinum record, you know, yeah.
- 31:52SPEAKER_03: Like, okay, so I'm telling you, I grew up I grew up, I grew up in a community where we had baseball and hockey.
- 31:56SPEAKER_03: Oh, baseball too.
- 31:57SPEAKER_03: And I was into hockey, and like if I went to a black community with a hockey card, I can't have that conversation.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: I'm saying somebody who is into the sport but is not into it as much as you, we could bring other elements to say, oh, you don't know about this player, because somebody could be a layman as a kid, and a layman as a kid is probably better than most adults today, honestly, because a layman as a kid would watch enough basketball to understand.
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: But yeah, and then and then we would we would be like, Oh, do you know about we would kind of teach each other about who our favorite players were outside of the major player?
- 32:34SPEAKER_04: Throwing ideas off each other, yeah.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we would be like, they'd be like, Do you know about this player, that player?
- 32:40SPEAKER_03: Not not necessarily the fresh or has social media killed that part of it.
- 32:44SPEAKER_03: No, I think you could literally go on the ESPN app and get more information on the gameplay.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: But people wouldn't do but yes, but you're saying you can get more information, but I'm saying it was a vested effort for us, like Sean Kip was not like a top five player.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: No, but he but I got into Sean Kemp from watching basketball, and then I got into a player, and there was a bunch of kids like me that it wasn't Sean Kip for them, it was another player, and then we would talk about, and that's how we started to learn about different players in the game.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: If you ask if you ask but no, I'm saying, but if you ask a lot of kids now, they don't know past the grades as far as playing today, they don't know the fourth, the the sixth or seventh player on the team, they don't necessarily know that because it's all about you know the top that was but we used to when we grew up, we knew about we could go down a roster.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: We we used to be able to go down, I used to go 10 deep, 10 deep, 11 deep, and be able to know based on football, whatever.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: I didn't know I didn't know teams like teams that you followed.
- 33:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, you had to know what you're you know, and and then and then the kid that knew the other team and tried to support their team and said, Hey, this player, you know, is better than this player, and be like, man, and then we would argue like the Eddie Joneses versus like you know, we would go down the line.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, they don't we'd be like, we'd be like, yo, Eddie Jones is nice as shit.
- 34:07SPEAKER_01: Be like, and then somebody would argue someone similar to Eddie Jones, and we would, you know, like nobody give a fuck about that shit now.
- 34:14SPEAKER_03: Because those guys, I mean, you gotta think the sixth, seventh man, eighth man.
- 34:17SPEAKER_03: It's um the demographic.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: Like Glenn Rice, like Glenn Rice and shit used to be part of the conversation.
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: There's too many kids.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: Glenn Rice was never like Glenn Rice was never like a Michael Jordan, but we would talk about Glenn Rice.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: We would talk about like these number players.
- 34:32SPEAKER_03: There's two, maybe on the average, maybe two to three good players per roster that are worth talking about nowadays.
- 34:39SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, back in the day, there'll be probably one player that's marquee, and then you kind of are forced to Nick Van X rule.
- 34:45SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, we would talk.
- 34:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, there'll be a couple of good players.
- 34:48SPEAKER_03: But now, and and the the the economy of things, trading cards used to be your outlet to, you know, sure, like collect a thing.
- 34:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and you would touch it.
- 34:58SPEAKER_03: Now these kids, once they find a card, they put it in a fucking glass thing and they seal it up and get a grade on.
- 35:04SPEAKER_03: You know, you don't look at it, you put it in a safe and don't look at it.
- 35:07SPEAKER_03: It doesn't matter no more.
- 35:08SPEAKER_03: They don't even put it in the case.
- 35:08SPEAKER_03: And they don't put the kids back.
- 35:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, those kids don't even care about sport.
- 35:14SPEAKER_04: They just care about that's crazy.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: That is crazy.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: Because it used to be the stats, though.
- 35:23SPEAKER_01: And they would give you all the stats up to that year.
- 35:25SPEAKER_01: That is interesting.
- 35:26SPEAKER_03: They don't, they don't some I mean, I maybe the bit the the basic card has the stats on it, but if you get any special editions, but the buttons, but the money cards don't have stats, yeah.
- 35:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like the paninis.
- 35:36SPEAKER_03: What do they call paninis?
- 35:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but it'll have a piece of somebody's jersey or a basketball on it.
- 35:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 35:41SPEAKER_03: But I like like I understand what you're saying, but it's just as the sports stuff has changed, and I like your point about you know, them just kind of seeing all the good stuff only, and it's like I can hearken back to like how we're forced to watch a ton of Michael Jordan clips because it doesn't those like we keep seeing these things and it's not amazing anymore.
- 36:01SPEAKER_03: Oh, it is amazing still.
- 36:02SPEAKER_03: Okay, maybe the yeah.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, come on, I mean, come on.
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: What are you talking about?
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: There's no way it's not amazing.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: He don't be like that though.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: I'm fucking with you.
- 36:11SPEAKER_04: I'm fucking with you.
- 36:12SPEAKER_04: Okay, good.
- 36:12SPEAKER_04: Michael Jordan, and I tell people you're right, no more Michael Jordan talk, no more.
- 36:17SPEAKER_04: I will next show.
- 36:18SPEAKER_04: We're not gonna we're not gonna go into this.
- 36:22SPEAKER_03: What else we got?
- 36:23SPEAKER_03: So speaking of sports, they trying to kill this little black child.
- 36:27SPEAKER_03: Oh just trying to get his soccer on, you know.
- 36:30SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 36:31SPEAKER_03: Oh, this is a nigga's footwork, yo.
- 36:32SPEAKER_03: Did you see his footwork though?
- 36:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I gotta play.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: This is the most ridiculous shit ever.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: Like, bruh, he was like, this motherfucker was like the back.
- 36:44SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna, we well, we know the story.
- 36:45SPEAKER_03: I'm not gonna like play the commentary.
- 36:47SPEAKER_03: Or we litigate the story.
- 36:48SPEAKER_03: But what about like so look at his footwork, man?
- 36:51SPEAKER_03: This kid is look at him, look at this, he just dropping all around him.
- 36:56SPEAKER_03: Look, you're about to drop that growing man.
- 36:57SPEAKER_03: Look at him.
- 36:59SPEAKER_03: The goalie.
- 37:00SPEAKER_03: Where's the goalie?
- 37:01SPEAKER_03: The goalie was like, nah, I ain't gonna, I can't.
- 37:03SPEAKER_03: And he he he he won backwards.
- 37:05SPEAKER_03: He had one backwards.
- 37:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he didn't look at him in the crowd, yo.
- 37:10SPEAKER_03: His own man trying to defend him.
- 37:11SPEAKER_03: Like, yo, you had enough.
- 37:12SPEAKER_03: He's like, pass it to me.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: Like, no, well, listen, you know what the thing about it is?
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: You when you see a little kid like that that has number 10 on, because in soccer, number 10 is like 25.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: Number 10 is no starts it starts from Pele.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: Pele.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so so so number 10 means you're the best in the sport.
- 37:34SPEAKER_01: So you only wear number 10 if you're the best in the sport like number 23.
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's true.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: Looks like LeBron wear number 23.
- 37:41SPEAKER_01: Well, no, no, no, I was gonna say, yeah, so best in the sport today.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, LeBron's the best in the sport, uh, maybe some time ago, but yeah, he's the best in the sport.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: But no, but no, but no, Hugh.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: He's a nice guy.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: He's a nice guy.
- 37:54SPEAKER_01: But Hugh, you understand this.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: It's actually kind of funny.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: I didn't realize this from uh soccer, that it correlates.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: But the best in the sport, if you feel like you're the best, if you feel like you're the greatest in the sport, you were number two.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: And but if you feel like you're the best in um NBA, it's kind of funny you wear 23.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: Now, you know it's kind of funny.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: Um Kobe didn't want to do that.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: He wanted to do 24 because he felt like he was one up over Jordan.
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: But I love how I love how uh LeBron wears exactly 23.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: And I love how uh LeBron's son, you know, also He wears 23?
- 38:30SPEAKER_03: He got number 23?
- 38:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he's wearing 23?
- 38:33SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 38:34SPEAKER_03: I don't know what number.
- 38:35SPEAKER_03: I thought he was wearing like zero or one or something like that.
- 38:37SPEAKER_01: No, he's wearing uh he's wearing uh Jordan's uh Olympic number nine.
- 38:41SPEAKER_03: Oh, he's wearing an eye.
- 38:42SPEAKER_03: Uh because they got used to wear that.
- 38:44SPEAKER_03: You go here LeBron used to wear that on his practice squad jersey.
- 38:47SPEAKER_03: Amazing.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: Well, number nine is uh number nine is uh you know what's so funny?
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: Me and me and Rome had a uh a joke always where we were like, man, when we were kids, we were like, oh, you know, we're we're supposed to be best friends because my birthday is August 9th, so I'm nine, and your birthday is June 23rd, you're 23, and we correlated it to Jordan from Jordan's Olympic number to Jordan's uh Jordan's and so it's funny because nobody ever does that for LeBron, and I hope it happens.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: I don't think I mean I'm sure somebody has done that.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: But no, no kids never no, no kids never gonna be like, oh, my birthday.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can't.
- 39:28SPEAKER_03: I'm sure the kids are gonna make writing black people songs about LeBron right now.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: No birth, nobody's birthday is gonna be like, oh, I'm number six, and then I'm number 23.
- 39:40SPEAKER_04: Yo, so here, what we what about um let's let's talk let's talk about um she's a famous rapper, she's from Queens.
- 39:48SPEAKER_04: We love her, right?
- 39:50SPEAKER_04: We love her music, the the Barbies, right?
- 39:53SPEAKER_04: She got that fatty.
- 39:54SPEAKER_04: Let's tell what can you play the Trump clip though?
- 39:57SPEAKER_01: A lot of silicone, not a silicone.
- 39:59SPEAKER_01: Play it, play the POV when he walked her up the stage.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: He's a sick month.
- 40:05SPEAKER_03: Well, let's wrap up that that child though.
- 40:08SPEAKER_03: That that that that's crazy.
- 40:09SPEAKER_03: 33-year-old phenomena.
- 40:11SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 40:11SPEAKER_03: Apparently, yeah.
- 40:12SPEAKER_03: Like they said, I don't want to make it's not a racial thing to me.
- 40:15SPEAKER_03: I just think that these people are just haters.
- 40:16SPEAKER_03: They're just like, this kid's too good.
- 40:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and he just whooped our kids' asses.
- 40:20SPEAKER_03: He's too good.
- 40:20SPEAKER_03: Um, we can't, you know, and I feel for the parents, but I don't know, you guys are parent.
- 40:25SPEAKER_03: Well, you know what the fuck you're a parent, but you know, right?
- 40:28SPEAKER_01: But but here's the thing.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: Here's the thing.
- 40:30SPEAKER_03: Like, if there was some kid whooping his ass on the fucking soccer field basketball court, would you feel away and call the cops?
- 40:35SPEAKER_03: No, feel away and be like, yo, this is you know, you know what the thing is.
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: There's two problems to this guy.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: There's two there's two problems to this story.
- 40:44SPEAKER_01: Okay, what you got?
- 40:45SPEAKER_01: The number one problem, the number one problem is this kid at three years old is not gonna remember a goddamn thing about this shit.
- 40:52SPEAKER_01: And neither is the kid that he was whooping his ass.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: So that's first and foremost.
- 40:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 40:57SPEAKER_01: They forgot to get away from the kids.
- 41:00SPEAKER_01: The parents are gonna remember this because they were being psychopaths doing this.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: The three-year-old is never gonna remember this.
- 41:08SPEAKER_01: But the problem is, and there's a second point, because everything lives on the internet, the kid that never would have remembered this now at some point.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because as soon as this kid is like 10-11, it's still gonna be.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: Yo, remember this show?
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:25SPEAKER_01: He was getting your ass kicked.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 41:27SPEAKER_01: So I feel you.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: So as parents, just move the fuck on and let your kids be kids and enjoy the the the the freedom, the Pollyannishness of being kids and not having known.
- 41:44SPEAKER_01: And then as parents, you can describe to them, remember you scraped your knee?
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: You don't remember that?
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: Have that happen.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: Don't be the parents that say, we're gonna make this a thing right now.
- 41:56SPEAKER_01: We invested it three years ago and we're gonna fucking destroy your brain, your psyche in the moment, and you're not gonna remember this, even though how this traumatic this is, but now you're gonna have to deal with this later.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: So that's to me the fucked up thing about it, where the parents don't understand your kid doesn't care what's happening.
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: Your kid doesn't realize they're getting destroyed on a soccer field.
- 42:19SPEAKER_01: They have no clue.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: They don't know what the fuck is happening.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: They're just having fun of a yeah, they're probably smiling.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: You can take the kid for ice cream.
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: They have no fucking clue.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: Three years old?
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: Are you fucking crazy?
- 42:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: Like, are you insane?
- 42:36SPEAKER_01: Your kid has no clue that's happening.
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: So you don't need to protect your kid from something that they have no clue about.
- 42:43SPEAKER_01: They're just enjoying themselves running up and down a grass field.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: Let it happen.
- 42:48SPEAKER_01: And let them get destroyed.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: And be the parent be the parent that says, I saw greatness if that kid ever becomes something.
- 42:58SPEAKER_01: I was there.
- 42:58SPEAKER_01: Be that parent, be the parent that says, I saw him play when he was three.
- 43:03SPEAKER_01: Have honor in that.
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: Don't have honor in trying to call out your kid getting their ass busted.
- 43:08SPEAKER_01: What the fuck?
- 43:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 43:10SPEAKER_04: That was yeah, that that was and that that that story blew up online.
- 43:15SPEAKER_04: It was like, oh yeah.
- 43:17SPEAKER_04: Come on.
- 43:18SPEAKER_04: Like, every day was something different.
- 43:20SPEAKER_04: It was like, and they turned they they made it racial, right?
- 43:22SPEAKER_04: Which I didn't believe in.
- 43:24SPEAKER_04: And it's like, oh, the person who called the cops was black.
- 43:26SPEAKER_04: I was like, well, who cares?
- 43:29SPEAKER_04: I mean, that just makes it less written to me.
- 43:31SPEAKER_04: It's just like, okay.
- 43:32SPEAKER_04: There's black people who are assholes too.
- 43:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 43:36SPEAKER_03: Like, you know what I mean?
- 43:37SPEAKER_04: Wow, shit, man.
- 43:39SPEAKER_03: That's just to me, that's black on black crime.
- 43:41SPEAKER_03: That's real black on black crime.
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: And the thing about it is, and the thing about it is, if you're a parent, if your kid is not great at three, that don't mean their kid won't be great at seven.
- 43:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like his whole life is over with soccer.
- 43:57SPEAKER_01: Like, why why are you not letting your Kid experiencing being a kid, he's playing against another three-year-old.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: Let that motherfucker experience.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: Damn, this is what three looks like.
- 44:08SPEAKER_01: Like, I gotta step my shit up.
- 44:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but like shit.
- 44:13SPEAKER_03: Yo, once he grows and he got them legs, yeah.
- 44:16SPEAKER_04: God, yo, like this is a good thing.
- 44:17SPEAKER_04: But then again, he also could be like Freddie Adoo.
- 44:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and you get kind of burned out.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: 15 years old.
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: 15 years old, pro.
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: Who's that?
- 44:24SPEAKER_04: Okay, Freddie Adoo was a guy who played.
- 44:26SPEAKER_01: He's from Maryland.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: He's from Potoma.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, from Maryland.
- 44:28SPEAKER_03: I'm not from Maryland or Potomac.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: He went to he went to, well, you made a Maryland long.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: He was he was a pro.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: He was from he was from he was from Maryland when you lived in Maryland.
- 44:37SPEAKER_01: Let's just put it that way.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: But he was a pro, and then he was 15 years old, youngest player to ever play on a liberty.
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: DC United.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: DC United.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: And he went to Portugal.
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: He played pro and he admitted he said, you know, I had the talent, but I didn't put the work in.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: But but at the same time, it's like, you know, I feel like the parent situation is to advise your kids in real time what it is.
- 45:03SPEAKER_01: And so don't call the cops.
- 45:05SPEAKER_01: Tell them that kid's better than you.
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, I mean, that's the bottom line, really.
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: If the kid has a problem with it, then address it as such.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: The kid most likely at that age didn't give a fuck, didn't know what's going on.
- 45:19SPEAKER_01: But if your kid gets to a certain age and crying and coming over to you and has a problem with it, address it as a parent and say, Nope.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: It's better than like you didn't and if you feel like your kid is better, you didn't try, you didn't do what you're supposed to do.
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: We're in a situation now where as though we have to placate and we have to acknowledge everything.
- 45:43SPEAKER_04: What do they call soft parenting or what does that say?
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we have to I you know I told X the other day, I said, look, you're now getting to a point where if you eat relies on you.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: This is I I there's food in the house.
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: But we have to get to a point where we're not making you a sandwich for lunch.
- 46:08SPEAKER_01: Okay?
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: We're not we're not like you want breakfast?
- 46:13SPEAKER_01: You can make it.
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: You make breakfast.
- 46:15SPEAKER_01: You want lunch?
- 46:17SPEAKER_01: You make lunch.
- 46:18SPEAKER_01: Dinner, I'll still take ownership of because you gotta get at least one meal if you're a dumbass.
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: But at this at the same time, I'm I'm not gonna teach you how to survive because as soon as you leave the womb, everybody's gonna try to take from you what it is to survive.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: So what the fuck are we doing here?
- 46:38SPEAKER_01: So if your kid's three and they're getting dribbled around and doing all this shit, you should be telling your significant other, whatever, damn.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: Maybe we're not in the right league.
- 46:51SPEAKER_04: We gotta go to more camps, yo.
- 46:52SPEAKER_04: We gotta we need to get him a trainer, all types of shit, yo.
- 46:55SPEAKER_04: Or he ain't about this life.
- 46:57SPEAKER_04: He ain't about that life, man.
- 46:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like he better be he better be playing with the daisies instead of playing soccer.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: Instead of the football, the kidnapped the football shit.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: And the and the sister ran out.
- 47:07SPEAKER_01: Like, if your sister has to run out and protect you, then you should not be playing football.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: It's over.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: It's over.
- 47:14SPEAKER_04: Hey, Marvel, there's plenty of other sports to try, okay?
- 47:16SPEAKER_04: It's fucking baseball.
- 47:18SPEAKER_04: There's bad men.
- 47:18SPEAKER_04: Tennis.
- 47:19SPEAKER_04: There's just a whole lot.
- 47:20SPEAKER_04: Yo, you can do other things, yo.
- 47:21SPEAKER_04: You don't gotta do this.
- 47:22SPEAKER_04: Fencing, you know?
- 47:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that shit that shit was bugged out, man.
- 47:26SPEAKER_04: Bugged out.
