- 1:12Speaker 1: It will be Season 2025, episode 35, and it will publish on Septemberth 2025.
- 1:27Speaker 1: How long are you willing to keep studying and learning about God but not applying God's Word into your life?
- 1:31Speaker 1: Listen to this scripture.
- 1:34Speaker 1: So then, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
- 1:37Speaker 1: That's Romans 10, 17.
- 1:39Speaker 1: So what we've been guilty of doing, especially in the United States, especially in the crowd I run around with, we've been guilty of reading and reading and reading.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the Word of God.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Well, so that's easy to do.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I just turn on Audible, turn on a podcast and I just put all the Word into me.
- 2:04Speaker 1: That I can handle.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Well, that's good, that's not bad, really, in a way.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Listen to this verse or verses.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I'm in James, chapter 2.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Let's start in verse 14.
- 2:25Speaker 1: What is the use or profit, my brethren, for anyone to profess to have faith if he has no good works to show for it?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Can such faith save his soul?
- 2:39Speaker 1: If a brother or sister is poorly clad and lacks food for each day and one of you says to him goodbye, keep yourself warm and well fed, without giving him the necessities for the body, what good does that do?
- 2:55Speaker 1: Have works, deeds and action of obedience to back it up by itself is destitute of power, being inoffered even dead.
- 3:19Speaker 1: But someone will say to you then you say you have faith and I have good works.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Now you show me your alleged faith, apart from any good works, if you can, and I, by good works of obedience, will show you my faith.
- 3:31Speaker 1: You believe that God is one you do.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Well, so do the demons believe in shudder and terror and horror, such as make a man's hair stand on end and contract the surface of his skin.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Are you willing to be shown proof, you foolish, unproductive, spiritually deficient fellow, that faith, apart from good works, is inactive and ineffective and worthless?
- 4:04Speaker 1: Was not our forefather Abraham, shown to be justified, made acceptable to God by his works, when he brought to the altar as an offering his own son, isaac?
- 4:16Speaker 1: You see that this faith was cooperating with his works, and his faith was completed and reached its supreme expression when he implemented it by good works.
- 4:30Speaker 1: And so the scripture was fulfilled that says Abraham believed in, adhered to, trusted in and relied on God, and this was accounted to him as righteousness, as conformity to God's will in thought and deed, and he was called God's friend.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Genesis 15, 6, 2 Chronicles 20, verse 7, isaiah 41, 8.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You see that a man is justified, pronounced righteous, before God through what he does and not alone through faith, through works of obedience as well as by what he believes.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Now let's jump over.
- 5:14Speaker 1: We just read a good deal about faith and works.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So we get faith by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Now we jump over here to Hebrews Uh, and I go to Hebrews 4, verse 12, for the word of God, for the word that God speaks is alive and full of power, making it active, operative, energizing and effective.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life, soul and the immortal spirit, and of joints and marrow, of the deepest parts of our nature, exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
- 6:07Speaker 1: So back up to my notes here.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, romans 10, 17.
- 6:16Speaker 1: However, we need to put this verse in the context of the scripture, because what does it profit, my brethren, though a man says he has faith and has not works.
- 6:27Speaker 1: You know, so many times you read the Bible, you read the Bible, you read the Bible, and faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word, or I listen to it on cassette, and we get so busy doing Christian stuff that we miss the whole point of being a Christian.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Consequently, the world doesn't want anything to do with us.
- 6:49Speaker 1: They see through that.
- 6:50Speaker 1: They see a bunch of goody-two-shoes, sober-faced people going around.
- 6:55Speaker 1: They see a bunch of goody-two-shoes, sober-faced people going around and they don't want any part of it.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Having knowledge and no action to go with it is, in my opinion, mental ascent.
- 7:03Speaker 1: You know God can do a miracle.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You can find it in His Word that you can confess someone's needs to the Father and yet stop the miracle by not being active because of fear.
- 7:14Speaker 1: To put it bluntly, our love has grown cold and yet we still try and strut around and appear like everything is fine.
- 7:24Speaker 1: In church we look good, but in our spiritual lives we are starving and needy.
- 7:30Speaker 1: We read our little morning reading clips, attend our dry and comfortable Bible studies and yet look down on others who are not as religious as we are.
- 7:41Speaker 1: From the safety of our homes we spew angry content and show disdain to our elected officials by criticizing their every move.
- 7:50Speaker 1: The Bible says we are known by our love.
- 7:53Speaker 1: That's John 13, 34, and 35.
- 7:56Speaker 1: If you met Jesus today on the street, would he know you Better?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Yet would you know him, friend?
- 8:08Speaker 1: We are looking at the soon return of Jesus Christ coming back to take his church of fellow believers and looking at this world.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It is obvious that a lot of people need to come to a saving knowledge of God.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I understand that this podcast is a little tough, but it's time we quit learning and going to Bible school and reading and everything, and we should don't get me wrong but it's time we put some action to our faith.
- 8:37Speaker 1: You know, god spoke the world into existence by speaking to the Holy Spirit, and when God speaks, his words have the power to carry out whatever it is he desires, whatever it is he says.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Well, in that case, you have the Spirit of God in you.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You have the measure of faith that raised Jesus from the dead.
- 9:00Speaker 1: That same measure is in you.
- 9:02Speaker 1: It has been given to God, been given to man the measure of faith.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So when Christ raised you from the dead, it was the same measure that God used when he raised Christ from the dead.
- 9:14Speaker 1: It was the same measure that God used when he raised Christ from the dead.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Consequently, we're raised alive together and sit with him in heavenly places.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But a lot of us are doing just that sitting in heavenly places, enjoying all the benefits of being a Christian, enjoying all the perks, enjoying all the activity of getting to expound and contemplate conspiracy theories and everything else.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Right now they're talking about underground tunnels, under dc.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Maybe, maybe not, I don't know.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You have to just wait and see.
- 9:50Speaker 1: But we are finding out as this day and age goes on that we've got a lot more problems that are being real, being made real, than we thought we did.
- 10:00Speaker 1: We're heavily in debt.
- 10:02Speaker 1: We still try to abort babies every chance we get, try to work around our laws, don't enforce the ones we have, and we got a country that's in a big mess.
- 10:16Speaker 1: We say, well, we're not the only ones, everybody else is like that too.
- 10:20Speaker 1: That's true.
- 10:21Speaker 1: But you know, god's not dealing with everyone else.
- 10:24Speaker 1: He's dealing with me, he's dealing with you and he deals with you, speaking to your heart.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I understand this article was tough, but understand that you absolutely need to get yourself right with God and you're going to do that.
- 10:41Speaker 1: When you get yourself right with God, you're going to have actions to back up your faith and then your faith will speak with righteous completion to what your words will come to pass like they're supposed to.
- 10:58Speaker 1: You can go into all the world and preach the gospel, baptize them in the name of the Father, son and Holy Ghost.
- 11:05Speaker 1: In my name, they'll cast out.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Let's just pause there and let me run over here and look this up.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I'm starting in Mark, chapter 15, and we'll start at verse 15.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And he said to them Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news, the gospel, to every creature, of the whole human race.
- 11:30Speaker 1: He who believes, who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the gospel and him whom it sets forth, and is baptized, will be saved from the penalty of eternal death.
- 11:43Speaker 1: But he who does not believe, who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the gospel of him whom it sets forth, will be condemned.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe In my name they will drive out demons, they will speak in new languages, they will pick up serpents and even if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them.
- 12:10Speaker 1: They will lay their hands on the sick and they will get well.
- 12:15Speaker 1: So then, the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and he sat down at the right hand of God.
- 12:21Speaker 1: He sat down.
- 12:23Speaker 1: That's Psalm 110.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Yeah, psalm 10, verse 1.
- 12:27Speaker 1: He sat down.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Why did he sit down?
- 12:30Speaker 1: His work was finished, he went back to heaven.
- 12:33Speaker 1: He stayed as a man.
- 12:34Speaker 1: He stayed in the form and image as a man.
- 12:37Speaker 1: He's the second person of the Trinity, but he sent the Holy Spirit so that we could carry on his work, his actions, his miracles and his plans for the world, which was to destroy the works of the devil.
- 12:52Speaker 1: A lot of us are living with the devil, but we're not destroying anything the devil's got.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Some of us are even helping the devil, but we're not destroying anything the devil's got.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Some of us are even helping the devil build his kingdom and our words are contrary to what his words are.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And we pray for people and they don't get well and we wonder why, and we go on and on and on.
- 13:09Speaker 1: So we get back in.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Faith comes by hearing.
- 13:12Speaker 1: So we get back in our little Bible study and we get back in our little Bibles and books and commentaries and we read and read and read and read and read, but it goes.
- 13:24Speaker 1: It falls on deaf ears.
- 13:25Speaker 1: It falls on ears that cannot hear the Word of God.
- 13:29Speaker 1: The Word of God is active, alive and sharper than any two-edged sword.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Active, alive and sharper than any two-edged sword.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Don't stop swinging that sword.
- 13:42Speaker 1: That's your only weapon you have for offense in this world, to take control and run the devil out of town.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You get the idea.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I don't need to belabor it anymore.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Let's get busy and active.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Being Christ like loving our fellow brothers and sisters.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Let's bring people to the Lord, because we are soon looking at the soon return of Jesus Christ for his church.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I hope you're ready.
- 14:19Speaker 1: If not, we're soon looking at the soon return of Jesus Christ for his church.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I hope you're ready.
- 14:22Speaker 1: If not, here's your opportunity.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Get with it today.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Get ready, get your act together and start praising God and fellowshipping with God and enjoying a good time with God and watching him work things in your life.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Seek ye first, the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but for 53 years I'm 78 years old, and the first 53 years I've struggled and everything I touched fell apart, quit or broke.
- 14:57Speaker 1: But these last 53 years I've been having a ball working for Jesus, doing things for Jesus, letting the Word work through me.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Have I messed up?
- 15:11Speaker 1: Sure.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Have I sinned?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Sure, but he forgives me.
- 15:16Speaker 1: All I have to do is ask and confess my sins.
- 15:19Speaker 1: He's faithful and just to forgive me of all sins and cleanse me of all unrighteousness.
- 15:25Speaker 1: He's made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I have the mind of Christ.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Grasp that I have the mind of Christ.
- 15:35Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit teaches me what I need to know and shows me all things and lead me into all truth.
- 15:41Speaker 1: And if I know the truth, if I know Jesus Christ, the truth shall set me free.
- 15:47Speaker 1: The truth shall make me free, and free indeed I'll be.
- 15:51Speaker 1: You have a blessed day in.
- 16:10Speaker 1: In Jesus' name, amen.
