- 2:09Speaker 3: thousand Instagram followers. He's a best selling author. He's a
- 2:13Speaker 3: board game inventor. I just found out recently he's coming
- 2:16Speaker 3: out with a video game.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:18Speaker 3: He's homeschooler, uh for his children, way before distance learning
- 2:23Speaker 3: was around. Serial entrepreneur, just real big on investing real estate.
- 2:28Speaker 3: He has interesting philosophies on we'll talk about as far
- 2:32Speaker 3: as like the traditional financial structure. So yeah, just a
- 2:37Speaker 3: really dynamic guy and young two thirty thirty years old.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Yeah, man, I'll beg Yeah, yeah for sure.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I think my song was at his party
- 2:50Speaker 4: in Wallow Right, Wallow.
- 2:51Speaker 7: My song Wallow Banner was there, Keys was there. And
- 2:54Speaker 7: we have booked Nip too. You know.
- 2:57Speaker 5: I saw that story booked marlater we lost the great one.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Yeah, my son and Wallow also ey yeah, fact, shout
- 3:04Speaker 3: out to them. Shout out to both for them. So
- 3:06Speaker 3: but out without further ado, Derek, thank you for joining us.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Bro.
- 3:10Speaker 6: I appreciate it, Bro, I appreciate y'all having me.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Bro.
- 3:14Speaker 7: This is a long time coming. You know, we're supposed
- 3:15Speaker 7: to link like eight months ago. But Bro, I'm glad
- 3:18Speaker 7: to be here, even though it's virtual. I'm glad to
- 3:20Speaker 7: be here.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, for sure. So let's get right into it.
- 3:24Speaker 3: So you have, like I said, you have an interesting
- 3:27Speaker 3: philosophy on financial literacy just looking at your videos and
- 3:30Speaker 3: stuff like that. But I want to dig back a
- 3:32Speaker 3: little deeper, like how did you even get into business?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Like how do you go from growing up in Tampa
- 3:39Speaker 3: and shout out to Tampa too, because I used to
- 3:41Speaker 3: live out there.
- 3:41Speaker 4: I used to live with the rating tim Florida. Yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 4: shout out to it.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah, So how did you get into, you know, the
- 3:49Speaker 3: mindset that you are now being an entrepreneur, being a
- 3:52Speaker 3: serial entrepreneur, Like was that something that was taught in
- 3:54Speaker 3: your household or like how did that come about?
- 3:57Speaker 6: Being honest?
- 3:58Speaker 7: Absolutely not the penance was taught on my household because
- 4:01Speaker 7: my pops was I mean, my mom's too broro.
- 4:04Speaker 6: I'm gonna say like in.
- 4:05Speaker 7: Terms of balance, my pops he was big on us
- 4:09Speaker 7: being able to have our own so I would say, bro,
- 4:12Speaker 7: he did give us a lot of the independent spirit,
- 4:14Speaker 7: but he didn't really use the word independence and he never.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Really taught entrepreneurship.
- 4:18Speaker 7: He taught us like the blue collarway you feel me,
- 4:20Speaker 7: you're gonna get your you know, get get a minimum education.
- 4:22Speaker 7: He wasn't big on like, oh, you must go to college,
- 4:24Speaker 7: but it was like, you know, get your job, work
- 4:26Speaker 7: your way up, get your bread, invest in things x.
- 4:28Speaker 6: Y Z and Bro.
- 4:31Speaker 7: To be honest, I think like one of the best
- 4:33Speaker 7: things my pops ever did for me was that he
- 4:35Speaker 7: spoiled me. But around twelve, Bro, he had to sit
- 4:38Speaker 7: down conversation with me and my older brother and he
- 4:40Speaker 7: was like, hey, y'all becoming man and at this point,
- 4:42Speaker 7: y'all need to start figuring out stuff on your own. So, Bro,
- 4:45Speaker 7: what it did for me is it kind of like
- 4:47Speaker 7: it gave me a sense of entitlement. But he also
- 4:50Speaker 7: taught me the importance of doing for self. So I did,
- 4:53Speaker 7: like from twelve and beyond, I did like like a
- 4:55Speaker 7: lot of y'all was like, damn, the world owe me something,
- 4:58Speaker 7: but he taught me to the importance of heart work.
- 5:00Speaker 6: So it also instilled in me the world don't owe
- 5:02Speaker 6: you nothing that you don't work for it.
- 5:04Speaker 7: So Bro's that's what really like. And ain't gonna lie, brother.
- 5:06Speaker 7: I always hated authority. I didn't have amazing grades in school.
- 5:09Speaker 7: I like I was a kid that used to just
- 5:11Speaker 7: like to be late, just to buck the teacher so
- 5:13Speaker 7: she could have something.
- 5:14Speaker 6: So structure never was my thing.
- 5:17Speaker 7: Bro. I was definitely a troublesome child. Like I think, Bro,
- 5:20Speaker 7: you know what, the only time I got honor roll
- 5:22Speaker 7: my whole school career was my twelfth grade year, my
- 5:25Speaker 7: last report card, and that's because I couldn't pass algebra two,
- 5:28Speaker 7: so they put me in remedial math and then I finally, like,
- 5:31Speaker 7: I almost got honor roll. But Bro, for the most part,
- 5:33Speaker 7: I always been rebellious and I always wanted to do
- 5:36Speaker 7: things my way. So when I did have my taste
- 5:38Speaker 7: of corporate America and I saw how they handle things
- 5:40Speaker 7: in terms of nepotism, chain and command, and just how
- 5:43Speaker 7: a lot of times we are like the small people
- 5:45Speaker 7: on the totem pole, I told myself then.
- 5:47Speaker 6: I was never going to work for nobody else.
- 5:49Speaker 7: And in twenty twelve, I tattooed my face and I
- 5:52Speaker 7: just never looked back after that. Bro, I've been running
- 5:53Speaker 7: as an entrepreneur ever since.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I heard the story about the tattoos. I was like, Yo,
- 5:58Speaker 5: that's pretty interesting. Stance was like, Yo, I never want
- 6:01Speaker 5: corporate America. I know they ain't gonna want me if
- 6:03Speaker 5: I do this. So you started with one? How do
- 6:06Speaker 5: we go from there?
- 6:07Speaker 2: All right?
- 6:08Speaker 8: Bro?
- 6:08Speaker 7: So I tell you all time, like to me, I
- 6:10Speaker 7: have what what's called an investive spirit.
- 6:12Speaker 6: This is something I made up.
- 6:16Speaker 7: But Bro, if I like something, I'm gonna do it
- 6:18Speaker 7: a lot. So that's the how of person I am.
- 6:19Speaker 6: ROAs. So I got the first one. It looked like
- 6:21Speaker 6: an a.
- 6:21Speaker 7: It's some one I can't even wann starte this someone,
- 6:23Speaker 7: but it's an ancient similar strength. And that was my mindset.
- 6:26Speaker 7: I was like, cool, corporate, the corporate world link gonna
- 6:28Speaker 7: want me, I ain't gonna want them, and Bro, I
- 6:30Speaker 7: ain't gonna lie.
- 6:30Speaker 6: I deal procrastination really bad.
- 6:32Speaker 7: So that was kind of one of those things that
- 6:34Speaker 7: put my back against the wall because I feel like
- 6:35Speaker 7: I performed better under pressure. So following that, Bro, I
- 6:40Speaker 7: literally got like eight within like the next two weeks,
- 6:42Speaker 7: and I just was like, yes the rap, bro, like
- 6:44Speaker 7: you look crazy nobody.
- 6:48Speaker 6: And it right't gonna lie.
- 6:49Speaker 7: But it forced me to perform at a high level
- 6:51Speaker 7: because at that point, you gotta make it because nobody's
- 6:53Speaker 7: gonna give you, you know, No.
- 6:54Speaker 6: Fifteen to twenty dollars. Job. Looking how I look these
- 6:56Speaker 6: days with forty two faser tattoos, you're.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Not gonna be part of the well the committee.
- 7:04Speaker 4: So that was intentional.
- 7:05Speaker 3: That was an intentional player on your part to really
- 7:07Speaker 3: force yourself like you like burnt the ships pretty much
- 7:10Speaker 3: like there's no turning back at this point.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Absolutely, absolutely, that's dope.
- 7:14Speaker 2: So procrastination.
- 7:15Speaker 5: And I am guilty of this as well, admittedly when
- 7:19Speaker 5: as it worked to your detriment, you know, because you said, like, yeah,
- 7:22Speaker 5: I like my back against the wall, but sometimes we
- 7:24Speaker 5: put our back against the wall and we don't make
- 7:26Speaker 5: it off the wall. So when is it not worthing
- 7:28Speaker 5: your benefits?
- 7:30Speaker 6: Bro?
- 7:30Speaker 7: I learned a hard lesson in that last year. So
- 7:34Speaker 7: all right, bro, Like my hierarchy of success has always
- 7:37Speaker 7: been my father, Right, So my pop's live in a
- 7:40Speaker 7: really nice neighborhood, real big house, and it's only it's
- 7:42Speaker 7: a private community, only a gated community, only like twenty
- 7:45Speaker 7: twenty five homes in their total. It was one lot left,
- 7:48Speaker 7: and I went and bought that lot for like sixty
- 7:50Speaker 7: grand January eight two thy and eighteen. My project manager, right,
- 7:55Speaker 7: he kept telling me, he was like, bro, you need
- 7:56Speaker 7: to give other people access to your account, because Bro,
- 7:59Speaker 7: I I've had a lot of issues with banks in
- 8:02Speaker 7: the past due to what I teach and I understand
- 8:04Speaker 7: like you are here trying to teach a collective of
- 8:07Speaker 7: people how to end home bank, but your money still
- 8:09Speaker 7: come through us from Shopify. So like, I've had people
- 8:12Speaker 7: in banks that really put me to the sobegn point.
- 8:14Speaker 6: Like do you not like us or do you have
- 8:16Speaker 6: an issue?
- 8:16Speaker 7: And I'm like, Nah, it's nothing personal with y'all whatsoever,
- 8:19Speaker 7: It's just the structure that y'all work for. I see
- 8:22Speaker 7: a lot of disadvantages in terms of when it come
- 8:24Speaker 7: to my people, like y'all thriving, but y'all thriving off
- 8:27Speaker 7: the backs of my people. Like I've explained it to
- 8:29Speaker 7: him in a nice way, you know, a gang of times.
- 8:32Speaker 7: But anyway, Bro, he kept telling me, attach somebody else
- 8:36Speaker 7: to your account so you don't have to visit banks
- 8:38Speaker 7: in person, and I kept blowing them off, procrastinating.
- 8:41Speaker 6: So I mean my board games, bro, they come from China.
- 8:44Speaker 6: So last.
- 8:46Speaker 7: Mid twenty nineteen, right, I got another order ten thousand
- 8:50Speaker 7: and to come from China, and I get ready to
- 8:53Speaker 7: just do the wire like I always doing a young
- 8:55Speaker 7: lady that work in the bank. She's like, hey, I'm
- 8:57Speaker 7: sorry to tell you this, but they got a termination
- 8:59Speaker 7: set up for your account. You got fourteen days and
- 9:02Speaker 7: you can't spend no money in there. And then when
- 9:03Speaker 7: a fourteenth day hit, they gonna cut you, cut you
- 9:05Speaker 7: a cashier check and sing you on your way. I'm like,
- 9:07Speaker 7: what happened? So bro, they pull out of Stars Report
- 9:10Speaker 7: and all, and she was like, you went to a
- 9:12Speaker 7: fifth third in Atlanta, and the lady in Atlanta said
- 9:14Speaker 7: your transaction seemed suspicious. You had a lot of jurey on,
- 9:17Speaker 7: you had a lot of tattoos. And I'm like, well, damn, Hi,
- 9:20Speaker 7: Like that's ground to terminate ac count. But she was
- 9:23Speaker 7: like it's it's you know they could do it. It's
- 9:25Speaker 7: their system. So anyway, broke the fast forward. Remember I
- 9:28Speaker 7: had this lot and I was gonna build my dream home.
- 9:30Speaker 7: I was building like a it was an eight five
- 9:32Speaker 7: because like, I got a lot of children, bro, so
- 9:33Speaker 7: I always wanted a huge house. I was gonna build
- 9:35Speaker 7: a eight five, like four thousand square feet and I
- 9:37Speaker 7: was gonna be next door to my pop. So I
- 9:40Speaker 7: already in my mind when I get the lot I'm like, yeah,
- 9:42Speaker 7: the mate, I got my bread, I'm finna live next
- 9:44Speaker 7: to my hero my posts like I'm doing my thing.
- 9:46Speaker 7: And Bro, when they froze that money, the only money
- 9:48Speaker 7: that I could gather up because they I owed China
- 9:51Speaker 7: fifty grand was to go back and sell that lot
- 9:54Speaker 7: back to the people I bought it from.
- 9:55Speaker 6: So I ended up losing that lot.
- 9:57Speaker 7: I got my games because I used the money from
- 9:58Speaker 7: the lot, but br, I ended up losing that lot.
- 10:01Speaker 7: And that's when I started. And I'm like, if I
- 10:03Speaker 7: had to just listen to him the first thirty times,
- 10:05Speaker 7: he said, attach somebody else to your account, so you
- 10:07Speaker 7: ain't even got to personally deal with those people, nobody
- 10:10Speaker 7: would have ever known anything. And like one visit to
- 10:12Speaker 7: go get ten grand in Atlanta cost me that. I mean,
- 10:15Speaker 7: I got my board games, but it cost me that
- 10:17Speaker 7: dream home and I would have been neighbors with my pop.
- 10:19Speaker 7: So yeah, Bro, procrastination definitely do have your time where
- 10:22Speaker 7: it choked me out and I'd be like, damn, why
- 10:24Speaker 7: ain't listen? Why I keep I'm thirty and I still
- 10:26Speaker 7: and like, Bro, I can identify my issue, and I
- 10:28Speaker 7: still a fall victim to it.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Some time you know, it's learning. It's learning. So let's
- 10:33Speaker 4: talk about in home bank. We're gonna talk about the
- 10:34Speaker 4: board game.
- 10:35Speaker 3: But before we were talk about the board game, I
- 10:36Speaker 3: want to just talk about your philosophy on in home
- 10:39Speaker 3: banking because you know, like I said, I just some
- 10:41Speaker 3: research and I know I want you to explain it
- 10:44Speaker 3: better than I can, but it's it's kind of like
- 10:47Speaker 3: you're doing everything yourself as opposed to getting a job,
- 10:51Speaker 3: getting a four to one K, getting insurance from the job,
- 10:53Speaker 3: getting the loan from the bank. So yeah, can you
- 10:56Speaker 3: talk about that as far as like the philosophy behind.
- 10:58Speaker 6: That, Yeah, yeah, bro so.
- 10:59Speaker 7: But in the nutshell, in home banking is us basically
- 11:02Speaker 7: assessing the systems, all the monetary systems, from insurance to
- 11:06Speaker 7: loan systems to banking, and figuring out how we can
- 11:10Speaker 7: replace those positions with our own people and then still
- 11:13Speaker 7: maintain integrity because I do feel like banks and insurance
- 11:17Speaker 7: there it's a give and take system, but more times
- 11:19Speaker 7: than not, our people are not the benefactor of the
- 11:21Speaker 7: business deal.
- 11:22Speaker 6: We get a couple of crumbs. Like I say this
- 11:24Speaker 6: all the time.
- 11:25Speaker 7: They families have generational wealth, grandchildren college paid for, and
- 11:28Speaker 7: we be up current generation trying to figure out how.
- 11:30Speaker 6: To get school uniforms come August.
- 11:32Speaker 7: So with in home banking, I really wanted to create
- 11:35Speaker 7: a structure where like we literally would use their blueprint,
- 11:38Speaker 7: but we won't screw one another over on the back end.
- 11:42Speaker 7: A lot of times how they do so, like I mean, bro,
- 11:45Speaker 7: I've had investment groups in the past where the investees
- 11:48Speaker 7: would get anywhere from five to thirty percent on an
- 11:51Speaker 7: an ROI on a monthly return. Because I really wanted
- 11:54Speaker 7: to show people that, Like that's why like to cover
- 11:56Speaker 7: or the board game says, we don't need them, they
- 11:58Speaker 7: need us.
- 11:58Speaker 6: But a lot of our people deal with distrust.
- 12:00Speaker 7: They're dealing with a strong level of self hate, so
- 12:02Speaker 7: they don't even see the importance of investing in one
- 12:04Speaker 7: another and that we literally can create our own powerhouses
- 12:07Speaker 7: under roof. For instance, Dereka coming out with the Action
- 12:11Speaker 7: figure this year and I have to front her two
- 12:14Speaker 7: hundred and twenty five grand for tryinga to start manufacturing it,
- 12:18Speaker 7: rather than my daughter have to wait till she just
- 12:20Speaker 7: turned nine on Monday, rather than her have to wait
- 12:23Speaker 7: until twenty eight to go beg the loan, I mean
- 12:25Speaker 7: beg the bank for a loan to get in some
- 12:27Speaker 7: upside down debt and then pay them back. I'd rather
- 12:30Speaker 7: her daddy front her the money she paid her daddy
- 12:33Speaker 7: back and owe her daddy interests. So at that point,
- 12:35Speaker 7: I'm stimulating her economy and she's reciprocating and stimulating.
- 12:38Speaker 6: Mind.
- 12:39Speaker 7: The whole point is we're keeping that money at one
- 12:41Speaker 7: table and we're still progressing forward because everybody eating off
- 12:44Speaker 7: one another. So Bro, like to be real in home
- 12:47Speaker 7: banking is just like banking, but I'm not going to
- 12:51Speaker 7: I'm not giving you one percent on one hundred thousand dollars.
- 12:54Speaker 7: To me, that's just disrespectful, feel me. So I'd rather
- 12:58Speaker 7: us like another simp beforematt if if.
- 13:02Speaker 6: Bro, if you have five grand.
- 13:04Speaker 7: And me and him need twenty five hundred a piece,
- 13:06Speaker 7: you're gonna break down the five grand.
- 13:07Speaker 6: We're gonna kick back the interest.
- 13:09Speaker 7: Everybody at this table eating because when we're paying these
- 13:12Speaker 7: outside entities and doing business with them, that money rarely
- 13:14Speaker 7: trickles back down to our communities of people that look
- 13:17Speaker 7: like us, period. So that was the whole concept, Bro,
- 13:19Speaker 7: just studying these structures and then figuring out how we
- 13:21Speaker 7: could we could literally emulate the blueprint, but we're gonna
- 13:25Speaker 7: maintain our integrity within that and not screwing over screw
- 13:28Speaker 7: one another over on the back end.
- 13:30Speaker 5: So when did we get to a point where, like
- 13:33Speaker 5: obviously you said it that on like this distrust issues.
- 13:35Speaker 5: When do we get to a point where we can
- 13:37Speaker 5: have these structured systems and people trusting each other and
- 13:40Speaker 5: building off of each.
- 13:41Speaker 7: Other, bro I, because look, people always say that to me, right,
- 13:44Speaker 7: they'd be like, man, family be the first ones. And
- 13:46Speaker 7: I'm like, you know, sometime that's true. But that's why
- 13:48Speaker 7: we structure these businesses with paperwork. That's why we got
- 13:50Speaker 7: to understand the Verbie. We gotta understand the be importus
- 13:53Speaker 7: of black and white. I don't want to encourage anybody
- 13:55Speaker 7: to have to sue their little brother, but if that's
- 13:57Speaker 7: what you have to do to maintain some legitimacy with
- 14:00Speaker 7: your business, does and that's what you do, because that's
- 14:02Speaker 7: what these entities do. So the crazy thing to me,
- 14:04Speaker 7: bro is people with that traditionalism they rather just contentualsly
- 14:07Speaker 7: get screwed over for another eighty years than to break
- 14:09Speaker 7: bread with their brother thinking that he may potentially screw
- 14:12Speaker 7: them over, like bro, like, for the life of me.
- 14:15Speaker 7: Broad ill never understand how people fall out with their
- 14:17Speaker 7: cousin for twenty dollars that went missing at twenty five.
- 14:20Speaker 7: But she'll do business with a bank until you eighty
- 14:22Speaker 7: five and you have no issue with them slapping you
- 14:25Speaker 7: over the head, gambling your money on Wall Street and
- 14:28Speaker 7: you feel me in they give you one percent on
- 14:29Speaker 7: your bread over the course of six months.
- 14:33Speaker 3: So as far as like the investment club as you
- 14:35Speaker 3: had mentioned, that's I guess like a bunch of people
- 14:38Speaker 3: calling together and they would loan somebody like Susu.
- 14:43Speaker 7: Yeah, be real, See somebody educated me on Susoue like
- 14:47Speaker 7: two years ago, and it's much like Susu.
- 14:49Speaker 6: So like my.
- 14:50Speaker 7: Investment group in two thousand and nine eighteen bro, they
- 14:53Speaker 7: collectively they invested in ninety grand I brought back like
- 14:56Speaker 7: nine hundred and eight thousand by way of the business
- 14:58Speaker 7: that I do with board games XYZ and everybody like
- 15:02Speaker 7: easily triple quadrup with their money.
- 15:04Speaker 6: Within a month or two, I came up.
- 15:06Speaker 7: I was able to reinvest and put that into other
- 15:09Speaker 7: businesses that made more money, and they came up as
- 15:11Speaker 7: well because they was able to eat off what I
- 15:14Speaker 7: was bringing to the table through my you know my
- 15:16Speaker 7: personal endeavors.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Yeah, the partner that's what they called the partner sism
- 15:19Speaker 2: was Indians.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Your choice you're making, so they heavy on that suit.
- 15:25Speaker 2: It's crazy until somebody's like, yo, I ain't got it
- 15:27Speaker 2: this month.
- 15:32Speaker 3: No, I mean but that I mean yeah, I mean
- 15:33Speaker 3: as far as the philosophy of it is, is definitely
- 15:36Speaker 3: something that other communities use, especially like you know, like
- 15:40Speaker 3: you go to Chinatown and a lot of communities they
- 15:42Speaker 3: don't they might come to the country, they don't necessarily
- 15:45Speaker 3: feel comfortable dealing with banks for a variety of different reasons,
- 15:48Speaker 3: so they they do it themselves, like you know what
- 15:51Speaker 3: I'm saying. So it's not it's not a it's not
- 15:52Speaker 3: a foreign concept. But I think for us, like you said,
- 15:55Speaker 3: I think the biggest issue for us a lot of
- 15:56Speaker 3: times is mistrust because it's like, all right, if I
- 15:59Speaker 3: loan this person a thousand dollars, so like I don't
- 16:01Speaker 3: get it back, it's gonna be a whole different situation now, gota.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Come see you.
- 16:05Speaker 5: That's not having the having the economics right, Like, how
- 16:09Speaker 5: do we can start with five thousand?
- 16:11Speaker 2: But I't even got five thousand?
- 16:12Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying so, yeah, how did I
- 16:14Speaker 4: was so all right?
- 16:15Speaker 3: So what would you say, like, like, for that situation,
- 16:18Speaker 3: if it's a bunch of people and everybody's broke, like,
- 16:21Speaker 3: how does how does that get the ball rollers? Everybody
- 16:24Speaker 3: chipping a little bit to kind.
- 16:26Speaker 7: Of bro, I would say this too, right, So for me,
- 16:29Speaker 7: in home banking isn't only just like monetary. In home
- 16:32Speaker 7: banking is I would I'm in the Airbnb wish you
- 16:35Speaker 7: had one of the borgains me now, But in home
- 16:37Speaker 7: banking can be like exposure.
- 16:39Speaker 6: So like bro, one of the things I did with
- 16:40Speaker 6: the board.
- 16:40Speaker 7: Game is my my cameraman, his logos on my board game,
- 16:46Speaker 7: my graphic design and his logos on my board game,
- 16:48Speaker 7: my children logo, and I've been in one of them,
- 16:50Speaker 7: like my one of my most prominent business partners, cause
- 16:53Speaker 7: these the grant Her logo is on the board game.
- 16:55Speaker 7: So did we break bread in that instant? No, but
- 16:58Speaker 7: I dressed it up as a package. So if you're
- 17:00Speaker 7: rocking with me, you gotta you forced to rock with
- 17:03Speaker 7: the people who help my business to function, just like
- 17:05Speaker 7: if you crack open the board game. It's certain people
- 17:07Speaker 7: that I that I'm cool with or that I do
- 17:09Speaker 7: business with where like some of the actual cars within
- 17:12Speaker 7: the board game have their social media, their website and
- 17:14Speaker 7: their likeness. So bro like to me, and in home
- 17:17Speaker 7: banking ain't always about the dollar. In home banking can
- 17:19Speaker 7: be about the resources or us figuring out ways that
- 17:21Speaker 7: we could barter you feel me, Like, if I'm spending
- 17:24Speaker 7: a grand, so say I'm the only one in to
- 17:26Speaker 7: circle with some bread and I'm spending a grand a
- 17:28Speaker 7: month on yard service, then one of the broads can
- 17:30Speaker 7: come in and substitute that, and then we can find
- 17:33Speaker 7: we could find another way to redirect that grant, or
- 17:35Speaker 7: I could redirect it to him rather than the outside entity,
- 17:37Speaker 7: like and I was just talking about this earlier, bro Like,
- 17:40Speaker 7: I really feel like in home banking and they don't
- 17:42Speaker 7: even got to give it that name, Like I don't
- 17:43Speaker 7: even want the credit, none of that. But I think
- 17:46Speaker 7: that concept period is taking a stronger lead right now
- 17:50Speaker 7: with that post pandemic, cause it's bro it's just beautiful
- 17:53Speaker 7: to see I see so many of us collectively getting
- 17:55Speaker 7: together and like, no, we're gonna be real intentional about
- 17:58Speaker 7: rocking with each other and supporting one another. So it
- 18:00Speaker 7: don't even got to be the money Bro, it could
- 18:02Speaker 7: you You could have somebody that just do the emails
- 18:05Speaker 7: on the team. You could have somebody that set up
- 18:08Speaker 7: the zoom calls, the social media, whatever it is. But basically, Bro,
- 18:11Speaker 7: it's just finding out what valuables and what intangible and
- 18:15Speaker 7: tangible gifts that you bring to the table us all
- 18:17Speaker 7: exchanging of bartering or breaking bread, but we're keeping that
- 18:20Speaker 7: bread at one table. And if we didn't give you
- 18:22Speaker 7: permission to sit at this table, you're not eating. You're
- 18:25Speaker 7: not eating with us whatsoever.
- 18:27Speaker 5: I heard the marketing genius I wrote that down like
- 18:29Speaker 5: marketing gens right, So like that's incredible, right, you're putting
- 18:32Speaker 5: it inside the game, very intentionally, and of course somebody's
- 18:35Speaker 5: gonna see that and eventually gonna use that as a business.
- 18:38Speaker 2: He said something about manufacturing.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Even when you're talking about your daughter's toy going to China,
- 18:42Speaker 5: what are your thoughts about having manufacturing done here?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Bro?
- 18:46Speaker 7: I would love to, but I just don't think they
- 18:48Speaker 7: could keep up with my volume. I've tried on multiple occasions,
- 18:52Speaker 7: but I've tried a company out in Las Vegas, and
- 18:54Speaker 7: I've tried two different companies right here in my city.
- 18:57Speaker 6: The volume at which my stuff moved.
- 19:00Speaker 7: It's hard for them to keep up, keep up a
- 19:01Speaker 7: lot of times, and then I find myself in a
- 19:04Speaker 7: ten thousand people want a refund type of position, not.
- 19:08Speaker 4: A good.
- 19:10Speaker 6: Yeah feeling.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Now we had we had somebody else that was on
- 19:14Speaker 3: the podcast that talked about she had a board game,
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah Chantel, and she was saying that her BOYD game
- 19:20Speaker 3: is it's not a board game.
- 19:21Speaker 2: What is it? It's like a cardget it's in that category.
- 19:23Speaker 3: So long story short, she was like she couldn't she
- 19:26Speaker 3: couldn't afford to make it in America because the price
- 19:28Speaker 3: is so much more compared to China. It's almost like
- 19:31Speaker 3: it's a no brainer. Like if she made it in America,
- 19:34Speaker 3: the price that she would have to charge people would
- 19:36Speaker 3: be way more than people be willing to pay for it.
- 19:38Speaker 3: So she's like, she has no real option but to make.
- 19:41Speaker 2: It in China.
- 19:42Speaker 7: Exactly, Bro, Like my board game, the company down in
- 19:45Speaker 7: Vegas initially quoted me at like five dollars, and in
- 19:48Speaker 7: a day that we got ready to send the wire,
- 19:50Speaker 7: that price went up to fifty six dollars.
- 19:52Speaker 2: So yeah, bro, like fifty six dollars can get dangerous.
- 19:56Speaker 6: Yeah, but just on that real quick. Bro.
- 19:58Speaker 7: My project manager actually and then visited that company after they
- 20:01Speaker 7: switched that price on me, And what he told me
- 20:03Speaker 7: is that they did their research, they saw how much
- 20:04Speaker 7: I was selling it for, and then they decided it
- 20:07Speaker 7: was a good idea to try to price galage at.
- 20:09Speaker 6: The last minute.
- 20:10Speaker 7: But just manufacturer, and I mean, I'm sure I'll know that, Bro,
- 20:13Speaker 7: But manufacturer in America period can get a little shaky
- 20:16Speaker 7: because y'all know, like, we don't have the resources in
- 20:19Speaker 7: abundance like China does. Bro, I don't know what we're
- 20:22Speaker 7: trying to be finding and stuff and how they like
- 20:25Speaker 7: it's like, yeah, you need one hundred thousand games, no problem.
- 20:27Speaker 7: They just snatched it down from somewhere, whip it up
- 20:29Speaker 7: and get across the water.
- 20:31Speaker 3: So what was your first let me go back a
- 20:33Speaker 3: little bit, so what was your first endeavor as an entrepreneur? Like,
- 20:36Speaker 3: all right, when you quit Corporate America, you got your
- 20:39Speaker 3: your face tatted up, you said, I'm doing full time
- 20:42Speaker 3: entrepreneur thing.
- 20:43Speaker 4: What was the first like, what was the first thing.
- 20:45Speaker 2: That you did?
- 20:46Speaker 6: I brought.
- 20:46Speaker 7: The first thing I did was I started the retail business.
- 20:50Speaker 7: I was selling screenprint T shirts and screenprint T shirts.
- 20:54Speaker 7: I had a young lady I was messing with her.
- 20:56Speaker 7: Aunt was plugged in at foot Action Jordan Brandon Nike.
- 21:00Speaker 7: So what I was doing back then is the line
- 21:03Speaker 7: was called Mellionaire Bound. I would make T shirts that
- 21:05Speaker 7: coincided with the colorway or whatever Jordan was coming, and
- 21:08Speaker 7: then basically just boke up the price.
- 21:10Speaker 6: So feel me, I'm I'm.
- 21:13Speaker 7: Gonna sell you a pair of patent level elevens for
- 21:15Speaker 7: three fifty. That's gonna offset the price of the shirt.
- 21:18Speaker 7: And then I'm still gonna hit you for an extra
- 21:19Speaker 7: buck twenty five.
- 21:20Speaker 6: On the shoe.
- 21:21Speaker 7: Then she gonna hit it with that thirty percent employee discount.
- 21:24Speaker 7: So you know we're coming up like two.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I know a few things about that.
- 21:32Speaker 7: Yeah, bro, that that was my initial business, and I
- 21:34Speaker 7: took your bread from that. I did that from twenty
- 21:36Speaker 7: twelve to twenty sixteen. I took the bread from that.
- 21:39Speaker 7: I invested fully in literature and I left that business
- 21:41Speaker 7: alone and full time started writing curriculums, books things of
- 21:45Speaker 7: that nature.
- 21:46Speaker 5: So God amongst men, is that the first book or
- 21:48Speaker 5: is that the second book?
- 21:49Speaker 6: That's my second book.
- 21:50Speaker 7: My first book is called It's a seven hundred page autobiography.
- 21:53Speaker 6: It's called Thank God we don't look like what we've
- 21:55Speaker 6: been through.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Bro.
- 21:56Speaker 6: That book bombed.
- 21:57Speaker 7: I spent like my last five hundred GAG copies and
- 22:00Speaker 7: sold like twenty seven copies in two years, and then
- 22:03Speaker 7: my second book went number one, Bro, and then nothing
- 22:06Speaker 7: was the same after that.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:08Speaker 5: I know that Nip is a huge influence in your
- 22:11Speaker 5: life and obviously ours as well. He's the only person
- 22:14Speaker 5: we followed, and we were sure that our lines were
- 22:17Speaker 5: going to cross based on the work that we were doing.
- 22:20Speaker 2: But the book Contagious.
- 22:22Speaker 5: You read that and it kind of set how you
- 22:24Speaker 5: were going to price your book, right.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure. So Nip did an interview.
- 22:28Speaker 7: They had to be like five six years ago. Yeah, yeah,
- 22:32Speaker 7: right around five six years ago. And no, I think
- 22:34Speaker 7: five years because I wrote the next but yea yeah,
- 22:37Speaker 7: but he talked about that cheese steak, Bro, And I'm
- 22:39Speaker 7: not gonna lie. Never finished the whole book, if I'm
- 22:41Speaker 7: not mistaken. I read it like page seventy nine and
- 22:44Speaker 7: I was like, I got it, and Bro, one thing
- 22:47Speaker 7: Nip taught me. He was doing the video one day
- 22:49Speaker 7: with somebody and he was like, I do boutique pricing
- 22:52Speaker 7: and they was like, what is that? And he was like, basically,
- 22:55Speaker 7: I developed my price points. We're not looking at the
- 22:57Speaker 7: market of gauging our value based on what the market says.
- 23:01Speaker 7: We're gonna put our stuff out there for what we
- 23:03Speaker 7: feel like is worth. And that spoke to me.
- 23:05Speaker 6: Bro.
- 23:06Speaker 7: Ever since then, I was like, uh huh, so whatever
- 23:08Speaker 7: I wake up feeling like to borrow, this is what
- 23:10Speaker 7: you'll about to.
- 23:14Speaker 3: It got you the number one you know, that's right
- 23:16Speaker 3: fat and people might not know what the continuent. So
- 23:19Speaker 3: that's what a hundred dollars Philly cheese steaks. That's when
- 23:21Speaker 3: Nip had one hundred dollars mixtape and he said that
- 23:23Speaker 3: he got that. So it's interesting because it's like a
- 23:26Speaker 3: ripple effect. Knowledge is a ripple effect. So Nip got
- 23:29Speaker 3: inspired from that book with the book, got inspired from
- 23:33Speaker 3: the cheese steak, which inspired the book, which inspired it,
- 23:36Speaker 3: which inspired you. Right now, you might inspire somebody else,
- 23:40Speaker 3: like you know what I'm saying. So it's like a
- 23:41Speaker 3: domino effect. You never know who's going to touch it.
- 23:43Speaker 2: He sold less units, but you.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Made more money, absolutely, bro.
- 23:46Speaker 7: And then like so like initially my first book was
- 23:49Speaker 7: released on Amazon. But then I was like just following
- 23:52Speaker 7: it blueprint, I snatched all my stuff off Amazon. I'll
- 23:55Speaker 7: stopped print. I ISB and numbers on my book. So
- 23:57Speaker 7: you you like, if you ain't getting a book from there,
- 24:00Speaker 7: Grace two dot com, you ain't getting it. So basically, bro,
- 24:02Speaker 7: like I cut out the opportunity for anybody to even get.
- 24:05Speaker 6: It from anywhere.
- 24:06Speaker 7: And then we went like, so basically, Bro, I took
- 24:09Speaker 7: that number one selling piece of paper I got from Amazon,
- 24:12Speaker 7: and then I just leveraged it in the independent world
- 24:14Speaker 7: and it added way more value. They was like, oh,
- 24:16Speaker 7: here number one selling author in here independent and then
- 24:19Speaker 7: you know, next thing we know that I know that
- 24:21Speaker 7: book in itself real easily at like fifty sixty thousand
- 24:23Speaker 7: units sold independently by itself, not including none of the
- 24:26Speaker 7: other books around it.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's interesting because now everybody's got their own philosophy.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Like we interviewed ash Cash out to him and he's
- 24:32Speaker 3: an author. He was saying, that's all right, yeah, good guy.
- 24:36Speaker 3: So he was like he does the Amazon route where
- 24:39Speaker 3: because his thing is like he didn't want to have
- 24:40Speaker 3: too many books and then they don't sell. But the
- 24:43Speaker 3: thing with Amazon, they take.
- 24:46Speaker 6: Forty.
- 24:46Speaker 8: Bro.
- 24:46Speaker 6: That's why I left. They Bro. They were Amazon Like,
- 24:49Speaker 6: look when.
- 24:50Speaker 7: They were taking their money after I shipped the book.
- 24:52Speaker 7: We was like they was making like eighty seven.
- 24:54Speaker 6: More cent than me. And I'm like, oh no, this, no,
- 24:57Speaker 6: this is backwards. Nah, And I got up out of it. Bro.
- 24:59Speaker 6: As soon as I number one, I was going, I
- 25:01Speaker 6: was like, you.
- 25:01Speaker 7: Know what, if I could build my following like a
- 25:04Speaker 7: tenth or fifth of what Amazon working with, I'm gonna
- 25:07Speaker 7: be at me in that easily because I know how
- 25:08Speaker 7: to sell my own stuff. And I took that route
- 25:11Speaker 7: and I just I've been going ever since.
- 25:12Speaker 8: Now.
- 25:12Speaker 7: One thing I still do with Amazon rod is my digitals,
- 25:16Speaker 7: so like it do feel good to come home when
- 25:18Speaker 7: you've been on the road and you got a couple
- 25:20Speaker 7: of royalty checks in there. But in terms of physical
- 25:23Speaker 7: and everything, I don't let them sell it at all.
- 25:26Speaker 7: And like I tell people this all the time, there's
- 25:28Speaker 7: not one human who can quote me and say I
- 25:30Speaker 7: saw you say by your digital off Amazon, because I
- 25:33Speaker 7: don't even promote it. But the fact that the name
- 25:35Speaker 7: is so relevant people just stumble across it monthly and
- 25:39Speaker 7: go buy it anyway. So I get my independent money
- 25:42Speaker 7: and then I get my royalty check from them and
- 25:44Speaker 7: it worked out.
- 25:45Speaker 3: So in the next second we're going to talk about
- 25:47Speaker 3: some other things that I saw that's interesting as far
- 25:50Speaker 3: as on the technical side with different financial literacy. But
- 25:53Speaker 3: before we go, I wanted to ask you about marketing.
- 25:55Speaker 3: So I know it's your name Derek Grace two. Is
- 25:59Speaker 3: that your real name or is that just like a
- 26:01Speaker 3: play like instead of the second or Junie.
- 26:03Speaker 6: I'm grad is the second, but I put it, I
- 26:05Speaker 6: put the t w okay.
- 26:06Speaker 3: So yeah, So, like your marketing is interesting because I
- 26:09Speaker 3: peep everything. So you wear a lot of jewelry obviously
- 26:13Speaker 3: you know, a lot of tattoos, the heavy artillery. So yeah,
- 26:19Speaker 3: so is that is that? Is that all part of
- 26:22Speaker 3: your marketing? Is that just who you are as a
- 26:23Speaker 3: person or is it like just kind of like want
- 26:25Speaker 3: to separate yourself from being a regular you know personal that's.
- 26:30Speaker 7: Bro, That's a great question. Bro, It's a mixture of boats,
- 26:33Speaker 7: because that is me every day.
- 26:34Speaker 6: Now.
- 26:35Speaker 7: I will say this, bro, just just because I'm on
- 26:37Speaker 7: Earn Lesion, I got to nip piece on and I
- 26:40Speaker 7: got one of you one of my circle pieces. Honestly,
- 26:44Speaker 7: I don't wear pieces no more. I wear like six
- 26:46Speaker 7: cubans and I just leave it at that. But normal,
- 26:48Speaker 7: all my pieces put up in the safe. The guns, Bro,
- 26:51Speaker 7: That's naturally to me. I've always loved guns. I've been
- 26:54Speaker 7: a collector since I was like, I mean before it
- 26:56Speaker 7: even I legal age, before I was supposed to have one,
- 26:58Speaker 7: I was collecting. So no, Bro, But now as far
- 27:03Speaker 7: as showing it intentionally, one thousand percent is marketing.
- 27:06Speaker 6: So like Bro, it's you know, it's.
- 27:07Speaker 7: Small minute things that count, Like when you do your
- 27:10Speaker 7: still image on your video, sometimes it helps to show
- 27:13Speaker 7: a double barrel ar AR fifteen because that's not something
- 27:15Speaker 7: you can find everywhere, and it's gonna grab people attention
- 27:18Speaker 7: and they're gonna stop and watch the video.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Eight eighty thousand gonna not to come close.
- 27:24Speaker 7: So I mean some people never seen like total Bro.
- 27:28Speaker 7: There got eleven cubans. They never seen like eleven cubans,
- 27:31Speaker 7: twenty twenty nine pounds of jury stacked up.
- 27:33Speaker 2: So slick RiPP will be proud.
- 27:35Speaker 8: Bro.
- 27:36Speaker 6: A mixture of my real life and marketing. But right now, Bro,
- 27:39Speaker 6: I'm not gonna lie. These two pieces.
- 27:41Speaker 7: This is definitely, you know, just just celebrating being on
- 27:45Speaker 7: ey l in a little in a little mixture of marketing,
- 27:47Speaker 7: because my neck killing me.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Right, shout out the ghost Face and slick Rick and
- 27:52Speaker 5: bust it. They'll be proud of you right now, bro,
- 27:54Speaker 5: kill them, kill them to have you influence.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Yeah, and ripper Bro just on that.
- 27:58Speaker 7: Yeah, shout out slick Rick, Shout out the ghost Face
- 28:00Speaker 7: killer Mike Nil Like these these are my jewelry connoisseurs,
- 28:05Speaker 7: even though they know it. I was watching them from
- 28:07Speaker 7: a young into a man, like, yeah, when I grew
- 28:09Speaker 7: up and get some money, I'm gonna have me twenty chains.
- 28:11Speaker 3: On when say two kilos on my neck like like
- 28:15Speaker 3: the eighties, yea.
- 28:16Speaker 7: Yeah, bro, and I and I was intentional with this.
- 28:18Speaker 7: So this one right here is two is two kilos.
- 28:21Speaker 7: This one right here is like roughly six pounds. His
- 28:23Speaker 7: head is a kilo and then the cuban that's connected
- 28:26Speaker 7: to it is a kilo.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Well you got the Dominarius in his there too.
- 28:28Speaker 7: Right, Yeah, yeah, it's so niit Ward like these flower
- 28:32Speaker 7: uh they call him like flower ear range. So these
- 28:34Speaker 7: are the type of earrange that he like really wore
- 28:36Speaker 7: feel me in real time. So my jeweler tried to
- 28:39Speaker 7: try to mimic him to the tea with it.
- 28:41Speaker 3: But you but you also are always an investor at heart.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Because I saw a video when you were saying even
- 28:45Speaker 3: goal is an investment, and you kind of broke that
- 28:48Speaker 3: down a little bit. You want to talk about that
- 28:49Speaker 3: a little bit, like it's not just for show, it's
- 28:51Speaker 3: actually you know, yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 7: Bro, So what I call it ratchet investing, meaning like
- 28:57Speaker 7: we we buy it for the love of the shop,
- 29:00Speaker 7: but subconsciously we also remember we're gonna we're gonna purchase
- 29:03Speaker 7: it a certain way to make sure that it retains
- 29:05Speaker 7: its value or it grows its value. So y'alli never
- 29:08Speaker 7: seen me with too many iceed out pieces. I did
- 29:11Speaker 7: that one time with Johnny Dang. I got an iced
- 29:13Speaker 7: out on learned and relearned piece to represent the brand.
- 29:15Speaker 7: But other than that, Bro, I tried to stick to
- 29:17Speaker 7: nothing but solid goal.
- 29:19Speaker 2: But uh and.
- 29:20Speaker 7: Bro speaking on that Nip Nip the one who taught
- 29:22Speaker 7: me that Nip had a line.
- 29:23Speaker 6: Bro, this had to be almost ten years ago.
- 29:25Speaker 7: He was like, watch the value of the dollar dropping,
- 29:27Speaker 7: gold explode And I remember when he said that, Bro,
- 29:30Speaker 7: it hit me but I ain't get it.
- 29:32Speaker 6: But I was like, what do he gold explode?
- 29:34Speaker 7: And then I saw him further going to detailing the
- 29:36Speaker 7: interview about it, and he was just like yeah, he
- 29:38Speaker 7: expressed why he does so many kilos. Even to the
- 29:41Speaker 7: all money in pieces, it's typically a block of gold.
- 29:45Speaker 7: He sprinkled a couple of diamonds on it and a
- 29:47Speaker 7: dollar sign, but other than that, it was solid gold.
- 29:50Speaker 7: So Bro like, he's totally been the inspiration. That's to
- 29:53Speaker 7: why I even buy my juredy way I do because
- 29:56Speaker 7: when Bro planted that seed, I started researching. I was like,
- 29:58Speaker 7: oh okay, and and really it looks cool, but it's
- 30:01Speaker 7: not really the business to flood your pieces with all
- 30:04Speaker 7: them diamonds because you're eating up your goal weight for
- 30:06Speaker 7: that diamond weight, and your diamonds ain't really worth that.
- 30:09Speaker 7: I know, Bro, Most dudes I know it in pieces
- 30:11Speaker 7: don't even know.
- 30:11Speaker 6: How to use a loop. You feel me.
- 30:13Speaker 7: They just buy the diamonds for the look, and in
- 30:15Speaker 7: a year later you'll be like, yeah, Bro, your chain
- 30:17Speaker 7: worth like a fourth or what it was worth.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Yeah, we talked about it.
- 30:19Speaker 3: We did an episode with a jeweler and he was
- 30:23Speaker 3: he was saying that as far as like with the watches,
- 30:26Speaker 3: how like a bust down is really you're destroying it
- 30:30Speaker 3: and it's like a plain chain which no diamond He know,
- 30:33Speaker 3: you buy a rolex, you gotta buy it with no
- 30:34Speaker 3: diamonds because like, once you start to drill and put
- 30:37Speaker 3: diamonds inside of it, you really really equality the whole
- 30:41Speaker 3: situation and it it lowers the value. And he was like,
- 30:44Speaker 3: you know, like just a pure gold rolex is an
- 30:47Speaker 3: investment goes up over time. But if you start to
- 30:49Speaker 3: put diamonds in it on street has street value. It's
- 30:52Speaker 3: like people like if what in the real world, Because
- 30:55Speaker 3: that's another thing too, Diamonds don't really have the same
- 30:58Speaker 3: value diamonds. Value is used off of just people that
- 31:02Speaker 3: just like diamonds, But gold has real value.
- 31:04Speaker 7: Like gold straight up, it's a commodity, just like the dollar.
- 31:08Speaker 7: Like people don't begin like y'all know the dollar only
- 31:10Speaker 7: popping because we kind of say is popping. But at
- 31:13Speaker 7: some day they may just wake up and be like, Hey,
- 31:15Speaker 7: I don't want that piece of paper no more. I'm
- 31:16Speaker 7: gonna use something else to buy stuff with.
- 31:18Speaker 5: Yeah, somebody told us that. It was like, Yo, how
- 31:19Speaker 5: can you quip value to something if you can always
- 31:21Speaker 5: make more of it?
- 31:22Speaker 2: Right? Like if I could always print more doesn't really
- 31:24Speaker 2: have value, so we think like that.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, So yeah, we're gonna jump into the
- 31:31Speaker 3: next segment and we're gonna get into some some some
- 31:33Speaker 3: nitty grittyes.
- 31:34Speaker 4: All right.
- 31:34Speaker 3: So one thing I wanted to ask you that I
- 31:37Speaker 3: saw you speak about, and it's actually really interesting. If
- 31:41Speaker 3: anybody that knows me, they know, like I have a
- 31:43Speaker 3: background in insurance. So when you said something about like
- 31:47Speaker 3: having younger people in the family buy insurance on like
- 31:50Speaker 3: the oldest person in the or elder in the family,
- 31:53Speaker 3: and that's interesting philosophy that I see other cultures have used,
- 31:57Speaker 3: and it's it's strategic planning when it comes to life.
- 31:59Speaker 3: And so can you talk about that a little bit?
- 32:02Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, bro, So it's crazy, right.
- 32:06Speaker 7: I was in Dallas like two three years ago kicking
- 32:08Speaker 7: it with this dude at one of my events and
- 32:10Speaker 7: he put me on game and he was like, Bro,
- 32:12Speaker 7: the culture gotta start gathering up the grandchildren and they
- 32:16Speaker 7: opening up million dollar policies on grandma.
- 32:18Speaker 6: And he was like, granted, grandma kind.
- 32:20Speaker 7: Of old, so it may be expensive, but if we're
- 32:22Speaker 7: splitting it eight ways, then you know what's the big deal?
- 32:25Speaker 6: Like that's joy and money.
- 32:26Speaker 7: That's people spend out on marijuana, like people spend that
- 32:29Speaker 7: on anything. You feel me, So, if Grandma policy two
- 32:32Speaker 7: thousand dollars and we gotta break bread at, you know
- 32:36Speaker 7: what's what's if it's ten of us and we got
- 32:39Speaker 7: to spend two hundred dollars a month, Bro, we shouldn't
- 32:41Speaker 7: to my personal opinion, we shouldn't batter eye at that
- 32:43Speaker 7: type of expense because when Grandma leave here, and again
- 32:46Speaker 7: we're not banking on Grandma dying. We're not hoping she
- 32:48Speaker 7: leave tomorrow, but life is life, and we know she's
- 32:51Speaker 7: gonna transition at some point. To me, Bro, that's that's
- 32:54Speaker 7: one of the ways we can instantly acquire generational wealth.
- 32:56Speaker 7: Like it ain't a lot of people at twenty five,
- 32:58Speaker 7: I could be like, yeah, man, I just got hit
- 33:00Speaker 7: with the court with a quarter million. I gotta find
- 33:03Speaker 7: something to do with it. Like most of us have
- 33:04Speaker 7: to grind a long time where we never even get
- 33:06Speaker 7: to the point where we see that type of bread. So, Bro,
- 33:09Speaker 7: I definitely feel like more of our culture gotta start
- 33:11Speaker 7: investing in that manner.
- 33:13Speaker 6: And Bro, that's why I be so big on people getting.
- 33:14Speaker 7: Their family affairs and family affairs in order, like who's
- 33:18Speaker 7: the CEO of the family, who the spokesperson, who's the aggressor,
- 33:21Speaker 7: who's passive, who's the negotiator. So I think like that's
- 33:25Speaker 7: the part of people structuring their systems. And like one
- 33:28Speaker 7: of the things my bro key nineteen keys always tell
- 33:30Speaker 7: me is like the universe is ran by families. So
- 33:34Speaker 7: if you're not in the business or structure in yours,
- 33:36Speaker 7: so y'all could get in the race, to get in
- 33:37Speaker 7: the fight and try to gain some ground. You know,
- 33:39Speaker 7: the struggle gonna be a lot harder as a one
- 33:42Speaker 7: man recon crew trying to you're trying to go to
- 33:44Speaker 7: war with the walkmans in your business idea, Man, Walmart
- 33:47Speaker 7: got things sold up, bro you're gonna need a squad behind.
- 33:49Speaker 5: They number six, seven, eight, and nine on the healthiest
- 33:53Speaker 5: people in the world.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Fact, that's not that you're right on that. You're absolutely
- 33:58Speaker 3: right on that. And like I said, I've seen it
- 33:59Speaker 3: from his hand actually being in the industry, other people
- 34:02Speaker 3: have done that. I actually have clients that have done
- 34:04Speaker 3: that on it. Like I think like like it was
- 34:06Speaker 3: like five children brought insurance policy and the mother was
- 34:10Speaker 3: like sixty five or something like that. Seventy and that's
- 34:13Speaker 3: what they're doing. And like you said, it's not it's
- 34:15Speaker 3: not like you don't you don't you hopefully everybody's gonna die, right.
- 34:18Speaker 3: That's another thing I think with black people specifically, we
- 34:20Speaker 3: got to get out of the spookiness where it's like,
- 34:22Speaker 3: you know, don't talk about death, Like, no, you got
- 34:25Speaker 3: to talk about it. You got to plan for it
- 34:26Speaker 3: because it's going to happen. Like if you don't, if
- 34:28Speaker 3: you don't prepare, you're still going to die. It's not
- 34:31Speaker 3: like you're not gonna die if you don't prepare for it, bro.
- 34:35Speaker 7: And the crazy thing is something to really be functioning
- 34:36Speaker 7: like that, like man, I'm just gonna avoid the conversation
- 34:39Speaker 7: happen Like yeah, they're going to transition, so.
- 34:42Speaker 5: Yeah, but when they do that, then now it's like
- 34:44Speaker 5: the Gofunmi round you know what I'm saying, And it's like, Yo,
- 34:47Speaker 5: was it really worth out?
- 34:48Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 34:48Speaker 7: Strategic and then bro, just with that real quick, I
- 34:51Speaker 7: tell people at the time, like, think about how dangerous
- 34:53Speaker 7: we are when we not prepare and we figure out
- 34:55Speaker 7: how to bury one of the homies for seven grand
- 34:57Speaker 7: with a fish fry.
- 34:58Speaker 6: Bro.
- 34:58Speaker 7: If people developed that hustle and that mentality on a
- 35:01Speaker 7: consistent basis.
- 35:02Speaker 6: Now we're talking about.
- 35:03Speaker 7: The neighborhood being able to net fifteen grand a month
- 35:06Speaker 7: because they they'll fit. Bro, when the one of the
- 35:08Speaker 7: homies out, they feel they'll find a way to get
- 35:09Speaker 7: seven grand in ten days. But Bro, if they really
- 35:13Speaker 7: redirected that hustle and was like, we're gonna make this
- 35:15Speaker 7: the blueprint, then now we're talking about the hood being
- 35:18Speaker 7: like a quarter million dollar hood on an annual basis.
- 35:21Speaker 6: But Bro, that's one of the biggest things I learned
- 35:23Speaker 6: with people.
- 35:24Speaker 7: Being they just reactive and it's like they don't really
- 35:27Speaker 7: understand life until life be like, hey, I'm here, I'm
- 35:29Speaker 7: here to collect you. Then it's like, oh wait, I
- 35:31Speaker 7: don't want to No, let me get No, it's time
- 35:33Speaker 7: to go, let's go.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Yeah, it goes into into like some of the things
- 35:37Speaker 5: you've been teaching in that unlearned and relearn movement. You know,
- 35:42Speaker 5: we've been taught things that just aren't correct. Man, So
- 35:46Speaker 5: can you get into that? What was your motivation behind that?
- 35:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 35:48Speaker 6: For sure, Bro.
- 35:49Speaker 7: So Bro, I started homeschooling. How old my son is
- 35:52Speaker 7: going to be?
- 35:53Speaker 6: Twelve? In August? He was seven.
- 35:54Speaker 7: Bro, So I started homeschooling five years ago, and that's
- 35:57Speaker 7: when we came up with the concept on learning, relearn
- 36:00Speaker 7: and basically BRO in the nutshell, it's just us whitewashing
- 36:03Speaker 7: out the bulk of the things we've been taught because
- 36:06Speaker 7: the both of those things are based off traditionalism. And
- 36:08Speaker 7: if we're really gonna if we're really gonna check the
- 36:10Speaker 7: source of the information, most of them are not living
- 36:13Speaker 7: their best lives. That's why I her time, like check
- 36:15Speaker 7: the source for me. Bro, Like, I don't speak on
- 36:17Speaker 7: nothing I'm not educated on. I only like to teach
- 36:19Speaker 7: on my level of expertise. That's why, like, I haven't
- 36:22Speaker 7: started teaching them. I done lost ten pounds in the
- 36:23Speaker 7: last two months, but I ain't teaching nobody about health
- 36:26Speaker 7: and wellness because I don't know my lady be helping
- 36:28Speaker 7: me lose.
- 36:28Speaker 6: Weight, out't know whatever doing.
- 36:29Speaker 7: She'd just be going drinks down my throat and telling
- 36:32Speaker 7: me ride my box. But Bro, for me, that's what
- 36:35Speaker 7: I underline was like, man, let's double back and start questioning,
- 36:38Speaker 7: you know, the vocal the things that we've been taught.
- 36:40Speaker 7: Because if we looking at our ancestors down to our
- 36:42Speaker 7: great grandmas, these systems and these distractions not working. We
- 36:46Speaker 7: four generation poverty soldiers. So something ain't working. We gotta
- 36:49Speaker 7: we gotta redo it.
- 36:51Speaker 3: No, that's a fact. Another thing you talk about a
- 36:53Speaker 3: few times. I saw trust, like not trusting each other,
- 36:58Speaker 3: but like trust, like the legal trust.
- 37:01Speaker 5: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.

- 39:50Speaker 6: All right?
- 39:50Speaker 3: Well, so, like can you talk about that? Like why
- 39:52Speaker 3: is why is that important to set up a trust?
- 39:56Speaker 6: I know? Growth from me?
- 39:57Speaker 7: I know I don't want my family fighting approvate core
- 40:00Speaker 7: and the last thing I want because I'm sure when
- 40:02Speaker 7: I transition my children and people closer to me, because
- 40:05Speaker 7: I take care a lot of people, I've hired a
- 40:07Speaker 7: lot of family, I'm sure a lot of them are
- 40:10Speaker 7: gonna take that really hard. And the last thing I
- 40:11Speaker 7: want them to do is be beating each other up
- 40:13Speaker 7: or pulling guns about what belonged to And then in
- 40:16Speaker 7: that world so down to my guns, to my jury,
- 40:20Speaker 7: to my art. Bro, I'm in the midster structure and everything.
- 40:24Speaker 7: So each of my children know exactly what they get,
- 40:27Speaker 7: what paintings belonging to them, what guns belonging.
- 40:30Speaker 6: Them, what jury and everything.
- 40:31Speaker 7: But yeah, bro, that that's the biggest thing for me
- 40:33Speaker 7: is I've seen people fight over a will with ten
- 40:38Speaker 7: grand in it. I can't imagine how they gonna fight
- 40:40Speaker 7: over twenty businesses and who knows how many millions of
- 40:44Speaker 7: billions of dollars. So rather than the headache, I just
- 40:46Speaker 7: want to directly, you know, have my overseer handle that
- 40:50Speaker 7: dippy everything out and call of the day. Yeah.
- 40:52Speaker 3: I always like to explain trust to people. It's like
- 40:56Speaker 3: the will is kind of like, Okay, I want to
- 40:59Speaker 3: leave my ins to my son. The trust is kind
- 41:02Speaker 3: of like an instructional booklet where it's like I want
- 41:04Speaker 3: to leave my Jordans to my son, but he first
- 41:07Speaker 3: has to complete high school and then he gets like
- 41:11Speaker 3: one shoe, and then if he's married, they'll get to say,
- 41:13Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, like you can actually have
- 41:15Speaker 3: like step by step, so it's a little bit more.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And then for a tax purposes, a lot of different
- 41:19Speaker 3: things you can set trust up for. But the state
- 41:22Speaker 3: planning is once again, it's not something that we think
- 41:24Speaker 3: about a lot because i mean, realistically, in our neighborhoods,
- 41:28Speaker 3: we used to just stay to day, day to day.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Like you know what I'm saying, You're not thinking about
- 41:33Speaker 3: a trust in all of these things. This is generation.
- 41:36Speaker 3: So when we say generational wealth, a lot of times
- 41:38Speaker 3: it's just it's said, but people don't fully understand what
- 41:41Speaker 3: that means. It's like they said, like the average American
- 41:44Speaker 3: company plans for twenty years. The average Chinese company plans
- 41:46Speaker 3: for three hundred years in the future, so they have
- 41:49Speaker 3: a yeah, they got a three hundred year plan.
- 41:53Speaker 2: Like you know what I'm saying, we try and get
- 41:56Speaker 2: by next week.
- 41:58Speaker 3: So it's it's like like it shows you, you know
- 42:01Speaker 3: that that level of thinking we have to think bigger
- 42:07Speaker 3: than just ourselves today, Like we got to think for
- 42:11Speaker 3: not only tomorrow and this generation.
- 42:13Speaker 5: It's tough, you know what I'm saying, because like a
- 42:14Speaker 5: lot of our communities day in survival mode. So it's
- 42:17Speaker 5: like we got to learn how to first figure out
- 42:19Speaker 5: how to survive, then get through that process and then
- 42:22Speaker 5: and hopefully at the end all this, like you know,
- 42:24Speaker 5: like this economic empower movement that we you know, we're
- 42:27Speaker 5: part of and you are too. It's like, now we
- 42:29Speaker 5: can get to a point where it's like, Yo, it's
- 42:31Speaker 5: time to thrive. Like we've got the information.
- 42:32Speaker 2: I know.
- 42:32Speaker 5: That's something that that you stress too, is like, Yo,
- 42:35Speaker 5: invest in information, investment, information, investment, education.
- 42:38Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying, Bro, that has taken me
- 42:41Speaker 6: so far.
- 42:41Speaker 7: Bro, just investing in information and aligning myself with people
- 42:45Speaker 7: who know things that I don't.
- 42:46Speaker 6: Like.
- 42:46Speaker 7: Bro, y'all know a lot of stuff that I don't.
- 42:49Speaker 7: I'll be putting your stuff in my stories.
- 42:54Speaker 6: People don't n Bro, Like I ain't got no certifications,
- 42:56Speaker 6: no degrees.
- 42:56Speaker 7: But it's really the people I stand next to and
- 43:00Speaker 7: the books that I bought that make me super dangerous.
- 43:02Speaker 7: And the fact that like I like experience, so I'm
- 43:04Speaker 7: gonna jump out the window before I play it safe.
- 43:06Speaker 7: That's just my That's just the nature of how I function.
- 43:09Speaker 7: But Man, BRO, you a thousand percent right about that.
- 43:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 43:13Speaker 2: I took your quote.
- 43:13Speaker 5: Man, you said, stop waiting to invest in information until
- 43:16Speaker 5: it's the only thing left that can save you.
- 43:18Speaker 7: And Bro, I've seen it in abundance, like, I ain't
- 43:21Speaker 7: mad at it right, No, Lie, best money business I
- 43:24Speaker 7: ever had was this past March. I made seven hundred
- 43:26Speaker 7: and eight thousand dollars strictly retail in thirty days off
- 43:29Speaker 7: just one of my websites, and Bro, I appreciated the
- 43:33Speaker 7: overwhelming support, but it still was kind of head scratching,
- 43:37Speaker 7: like why did they have to take for the pandemic
- 43:40Speaker 7: to hit for y'all to recognize that the game don't
- 43:43Speaker 7: really care for us and we're like, we're disposable. And
- 43:47Speaker 7: it's just so many questions I beget from people, and
- 43:49Speaker 7: I'm like, Bro, they you know, we usually typically start
- 43:51Speaker 7: history in sixth grade, like you just realized the country
- 43:54Speaker 7: didn't really care about us like that.
- 43:56Speaker 6: Or where you've been.
- 43:57Speaker 7: But I'd be like, you know what, Bro, as long
- 43:59Speaker 7: as you're getting in now, it's cool.
- 44:01Speaker 6: Let's let's buckle up, let's ride.
- 44:02Speaker 5: I'm happy that you then, man, I had plenty of
- 44:04Speaker 5: conversations over the past couple of weeks, and it's just frustrating.
- 44:07Speaker 2: I'm like, Yo, we just getting here.
- 44:09Speaker 5: Like Yo, these people have been in place for forty
- 44:10Speaker 5: five fifty years and they've just seen these things as
- 44:13Speaker 5: a problem.
- 44:14Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, it's crazy.
- 44:15Speaker 3: It was like Frederick Douglas in his autobiography Great Read,
- 44:18Speaker 3: he was saying that, you know, like the system of slavery,
- 44:24Speaker 3: it ran its course pretty much, and it was like
- 44:27Speaker 3: it became a point where it's actually counterproductive to try
- 44:30Speaker 3: to make somebody, force somebody to work. But he said,
- 44:34Speaker 3: like you transitioned it to havn't I'm paraphrasing. You have
- 44:38Speaker 3: people just working just to get by. Technically there's still
- 44:42Speaker 3: slaves because it's like you go to work and you're working.
- 44:45Speaker 3: You're volunt you're not being forced to work, so you're working,
- 44:49Speaker 3: but you don't really have any money. All your money
- 44:51Speaker 3: is going to pay bills, so it's coming back to
- 44:54Speaker 3: them anyway. So now it's like you're on the hamster
- 44:58Speaker 3: wheel and and that's a way more productive system.
- 45:03Speaker 4: Then they try to force somebody to work. So that
- 45:06Speaker 4: was his whole thing.
- 45:06Speaker 3: And it's interesting because that was over one hundred and
- 45:09Speaker 3: fifty years ago probably and it's still true to this day. Unfortunately,
- 45:12Speaker 3: they say the average black home has like two thousand
- 45:16Speaker 3: dollars or something like that of Networth, So it's like
- 45:19Speaker 3: you're still yeah, maybe even I think it's less less
- 45:22Speaker 3: things less. So when we talk about entrepreneurship, group of
- 45:26Speaker 3: economics and all that stuff, it's like extremely necessary because
- 45:31Speaker 3: if not, it's like, what kind of life are you
- 45:34Speaker 3: really living?
- 45:35Speaker 5: Yeah's trip mill I told you earlier, Like yo, when
- 45:38Speaker 5: we listened to lyrics, we heard things like when I
- 45:39Speaker 5: heard Jay say, life's like a treadmill, people running in place,
- 45:42Speaker 5: getting nowhere fast, a whole year unpassed, Like that's the
- 45:45Speaker 5: life that you just explain.
- 45:46Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. It's crazy, And bro.
- 45:48Speaker 6: It's funny you said that, right.
- 45:49Speaker 7: I did an interview I think two days ago, and
- 45:52Speaker 7: Jay hit that lines like if everybody in your click
- 45:54Speaker 7: is rich, your click.
- 45:55Speaker 6: Is rugged, and we lived by that each other's presure
- 45:58Speaker 6: is like fact.
- 45:58Speaker 7: I took that line, and I I was like, man,
- 46:01Speaker 7: when I get some money, I'm putting all my dogs.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Let's get into that though.
- 46:05Speaker 5: Let's let's talk about that because I know twenty eighteen,
- 46:07Speaker 5: you retired your mom, you hired your brothers. How's that
- 46:11Speaker 5: process been going twenty eighteen, Bro, I retired moms and
- 46:15Speaker 5: I brung her and it's like a full time nanny.
- 46:17Speaker 6: I got five children, so she'd be super business. And
- 46:21Speaker 6: then like two months.
- 46:23Speaker 7: After that, I brought I got three brothers, one in prison,
- 46:25Speaker 7: I got two free. I hired both of them. Moving forward,
- 46:30Speaker 7: me and Pops became business partners. So my popsit is
- 46:33Speaker 7: retired secret service. We started Grace Private Security. I took
- 46:36Speaker 7: another page out of nipbook vertical integration. So with Grace
- 46:39Speaker 7: Private Security, because Pop's retired from secret Service, he basically
- 46:43Speaker 7: was grandfather in for a lot of those things in
- 46:45Speaker 7: terms of security, so he basically got to expect the process.
- 46:49Speaker 6: So even with a vertical integration, we.
- 46:51Speaker 7: Then took other relatives and pushed them through and popsas
- 46:54Speaker 7: were able to certify them and then teach them how
- 46:56Speaker 7: to go teach the classes. So now like with a
- 46:59Speaker 7: source of information, with a source of certifications, and then
- 47:02Speaker 7: if you need us to get our hands dirty, Pops
- 47:03Speaker 7: and go out and do dignitary security executive security of
- 47:07Speaker 7: the cases.
- 47:07Speaker 6: Bro.
- 47:08Speaker 7: So, Bro, my thing always been family business, like my
- 47:10Speaker 7: MARTA's been family business and none at all, the family
- 47:12Speaker 7: not involved, and I'm not at all, So like a
- 47:15Speaker 7: lot of people still ain't taught this, bro, But I've
- 47:17Speaker 7: been extremely intentional about all my products. They all have
- 47:19Speaker 7: my children on it on purpose, because my goal back
- 47:22Speaker 7: then was like, damn if I die, anything happened to me.
- 47:25Speaker 7: At least based off the relevance alone, they could still
- 47:28Speaker 7: eat and make money for the simple fact that this
- 47:30Speaker 7: man done attached to us to even we know what he.
- 47:32Speaker 6: Was attaching us to. We was full blown babies.
- 47:34Speaker 7: He just had our faces flashing on everything from books, curriculums,
- 47:37Speaker 7: board games, absolutely everything.
- 47:39Speaker 6: Bro.
- 47:40Speaker 7: So that's where my model since they won his family business.
- 47:43Speaker 7: Now in terms of like two thousand, nineteen twenty twenty,
- 47:47Speaker 7: I started venturing out. That's when I hired the well
- 47:50Speaker 7: more so like subcontract so the development team out in Spain.
- 47:54Speaker 7: When we came to them with a video game concept,
- 47:56Speaker 7: they was like, look, we could do it, but if
- 47:58Speaker 7: you want it done in a year. We got to
- 48:00Speaker 7: with our jobs and I was like, I'm not finna
- 48:02Speaker 7: pay all that. That's my first thought, like y'all scheming,
- 48:04Speaker 7: and I remember my project manager he was like, Bro,
- 48:06Speaker 7: they could do it, it's gonna be like one hundred
- 48:08Speaker 7: and fifty dollars an hour.
- 48:09Speaker 6: I'm like, no, that's nothing.
- 48:11Speaker 7: I'm like how many hours? He was like, uh, like
- 48:13Speaker 7: seven thousand eight. I was like, whoa, I started doing
- 48:16Speaker 7: the math.
- 48:18Speaker 6: Y'all want it? They want a million dollars. He was
- 48:19Speaker 6: like exactly. He was like, you want the game in
- 48:21Speaker 6: a year.
- 48:22Speaker 7: So these eight dudes out in Spain bro To end
- 48:24Speaker 7: up quitting their jobs, and I basically I pay them
- 48:27Speaker 7: sixty five K the fourth of every month to keep
- 48:29Speaker 7: developing the game. And I'm grateful for that too, Brose.
- 48:31Speaker 7: They could have told me, like, give me half right now.
- 48:33Speaker 7: I pay them for it, but I make installments to them.
- 48:36Speaker 7: And then out started that. Bro I got like, you know,
- 48:39Speaker 7: the same situation with my cameraman down to my assistant.
- 48:42Speaker 7: I basically took it, not took them away, but people
- 48:45Speaker 7: I hire room bro out sided just hiring them and
- 48:47Speaker 7: compensating them for their services. I try to bring them up,
- 48:50Speaker 7: bring them in where they strong suits at. And not
- 48:52Speaker 7: only do they get paid like from me as you
- 48:54Speaker 7: know in basic payroll, but we moved together collectively. So
- 48:58Speaker 7: I'm gonna put my cameraman out there so he can
- 49:00Speaker 7: go get thirty more jobs a month, or I'm.
- 49:02Speaker 6: Gonna put my assistant on the other people.
- 49:03Speaker 7: But yeah, bro family business circulating that dollar At one table,
- 49:07Speaker 7: and just making sure that.
- 49:10Speaker 6: Mostly immediate family.
- 49:11Speaker 7: But I will say that I ain't gonna lie say
- 49:12Speaker 7: and hire their hire everybody with the last nine grace,
- 49:14Speaker 7: Absolutely not.
- 49:16Speaker 6: I ain't gonna I don't even like I'm a relativism.
- 49:19Speaker 7: But for the most part, man, just hiring a family
- 49:21Speaker 7: put in a family position, and I just want everybody
- 49:23Speaker 7: to be comfortable. Bro, and I feel like we most
- 49:25Speaker 7: comfortable when we still could spend that time, but we
- 49:27Speaker 7: could get money as a team.
- 49:29Speaker 4: What does group economics mean to you?
- 49:32Speaker 7: To me, Bro, it mean a little more than us
- 49:35Speaker 7: getting money as a collective. You mean it mean creative control,
- 49:38Speaker 7: it mean power, It mean it mean us Bro.
- 49:42Speaker 6: To me, it just mean.
- 49:43Speaker 7: Having a household full of power players. And that's always
- 49:46Speaker 7: been my goal. Like I never wanted to be the Lebron.
- 49:49Speaker 7: I wanted everybody to be the MJ. Everybody beat the Lebron,
- 49:52Speaker 7: Like I want the whole squad to be dangerous. Like Bro,
- 49:55Speaker 7: I be liking when me and my daughter beyond and
- 49:56Speaker 7: I'd be like, man, I forgot my wallet and she
- 49:58Speaker 7: was like, you want me to pay for it? Like
- 50:00Speaker 7: had that type of relationship, and I just be like, Yeah,
- 50:02Speaker 7: that's what I always wanted, like I forgot my bag,
- 50:05Speaker 7: but you got your just kicked out the Disney like
- 50:08Speaker 7: two years ago when I kicked out, but they weren't
- 50:10Speaker 7: gonna let us in.
- 50:11Speaker 6: We went through the metal detectives and her little person
- 50:13Speaker 6: go off and I'm like, babe, what you got in here?
- 50:15Speaker 2: Place?
- 50:16Speaker 6: Like just my money?
- 50:17Speaker 7: Like Bro posted it on the ground and all because
- 50:18Speaker 7: I like, I'm thinking they just tripping on us.
- 50:21Speaker 6: The dude. Open it up.
- 50:22Speaker 7: Bro, she got a mason jar with like four hundred dollars.
- 50:24Speaker 7: And then I'm like, why you got it in a jar?
- 50:26Speaker 7: She's like, that's where I keep my stash.
- 50:30Speaker 6: Take it out of the person. She's like, nah, I keep
- 50:31Speaker 6: it in the mason jar.
- 50:32Speaker 7: But no, Bro's that's what it means to me, Bro,
- 50:35Speaker 7: just just having a shoulder to lean on, or not
- 50:38Speaker 7: being forced to do business with people that we don't.
- 50:40Speaker 6: Have a genuine love and interest for.
- 50:42Speaker 7: Like I love the fact that I can call one
- 50:44Speaker 7: of the bros And be like, I got a fifty piece,
- 50:46Speaker 7: you got fifty let's go in, rather than be like, well,
- 50:49Speaker 7: I'm gonna just do business with anybody right now for
- 50:51Speaker 7: the sake of trying to get ahead.
- 50:54Speaker 5: Yeah, you've actually kured the talent of matching people with
- 50:58Speaker 5: tasks they actually enjoy. And that's something that we're working
- 51:02Speaker 5: on right now. You know, like we've tried to put
- 51:03Speaker 5: people in place and it's like, yeah, not really a
- 51:06Speaker 5: good fit. But what's your strategy to doing that?
- 51:09Speaker 2: Man?
- 51:09Speaker 6: I ain't gonna lie to you, Bro, I just learned
- 51:11Speaker 6: that strategy. This is.
- 51:14Speaker 7: Hey, but Bro, anybody that's gonna watch this dead serious
- 51:21Speaker 7: it You sing your best interest to plug people in
- 51:24Speaker 7: doing things they genuinely enjoy, because I don't care how
- 51:27Speaker 7: much money.
- 51:27Speaker 6: You're paying them.
- 51:28Speaker 7: At a certain point, they're not even gonna care about
- 51:30Speaker 7: the money. If they don't love what they're doing, it's
- 51:32Speaker 7: gonna be lackluster. There'll be no ambition, and you're gonna
- 51:35Speaker 7: start to get complaints and you're gonna be like.
- 51:37Speaker 6: Damn, I thought I'll pay all good. What's up?
- 51:39Speaker 7: And then one day they just break down and be
- 51:40Speaker 7: like I had this warehouse is eighty thousand degrees.
- 51:43Speaker 6: I hate being here. Then that's when you're like, oh,
- 51:45Speaker 6: so no, Bro, I ain't gonna lie.
- 51:46Speaker 7: I just learned that lesson this year, I had like
- 51:48Speaker 7: three different people in position because Robs just trying to
- 51:50Speaker 7: do the right thing, at least what I thought it
- 51:51Speaker 7: was the right thing, Like I'm gonna put my people's
- 51:54Speaker 7: on and then bro, they do the job cool for
- 51:56Speaker 7: six months and then you find out one day they
- 51:58Speaker 7: cuts you out when nobody was You're like, damn, I
- 52:01Speaker 7: thought it was love, and they're like, no, Bro, I
- 52:03Speaker 7: like customer service. I don't like packaging. And you be like,
- 52:06Speaker 7: oh my bad and too. And I'm gonna say this
- 52:08Speaker 7: to real. Communication is really important because I know for
- 52:11Speaker 7: me sometimes I get so caught up in the money
- 52:13Speaker 7: part and just running things and paying things and the
- 52:17Speaker 7: boss side of it that you never just go to
- 52:19Speaker 7: your peoples while they grinding and be like, how your
- 52:21Speaker 7: day going, how you feeling?
- 52:22Speaker 6: Do you like what you're doing?
- 52:24Speaker 7: And Bro, I didn't do that, And somebody on my
- 52:26Speaker 7: team checked me on that, and I was just like,
- 52:28Speaker 7: damn you right.
- 52:29Speaker 6: Small stuff. Somebody was like, you know, you never told
- 52:31Speaker 6: me thank.
- 52:31Speaker 7: You for anything, and I'm like, I pay you though,
- 52:34Speaker 7: and they was like, bail that, but just say thank
- 52:37Speaker 7: you sometimes, and I'm like, you know, you're right. I
- 52:39Speaker 7: can't be insensitive sometimes because it's just grind, grind, grind
- 52:42Speaker 7: for me. So no, lie Bro, I literally just learned that.
- 52:44Speaker 7: Within the last ninety days. Somebody cussed me out and I.
- 52:46Speaker 6: Was like huh. But then when they broke it down,
- 52:48Speaker 6: I was like, you're right. I can't be insensitive. It
- 52:50Speaker 6: just be work, work work for me. Sometimes.
- 52:52Speaker 3: No, that's true, and I think that's for any entrepreneur,
- 52:54Speaker 3: aspiring entrepreneur that's listening to this. That's something to keep
- 52:59Speaker 3: in mind. As far as being a leader is more
- 53:01Speaker 3: than just leading. It's about, like you said, putting people
- 53:05Speaker 3: in positions that they can thrive in. And it's like,
- 53:08Speaker 3: if somebody hates to cook, you could pay them to
- 53:11Speaker 3: be a chef and they might do it, but it's
- 53:13Speaker 3: not it's not that strong suit, like you know what
- 53:15Speaker 3: I'm saying. So it's like, yeah, we learned that. And
- 53:17Speaker 3: it's like like you said, sometimes you learn that on
- 53:21Speaker 3: a fly that they might tell you, or sometimes you
- 53:23Speaker 3: have to be able to read body language and just
- 53:25Speaker 3: kind of tell like it's not working, like or you'll
- 53:27Speaker 3: see the work the work like this ain't this is
- 53:31Speaker 3: aniga fit.
- 53:32Speaker 6: I ain't get either.
- 53:33Speaker 7: I saw the work like we had just looked into
- 53:35Speaker 7: the emails one day and somebody in my team didn't
- 53:37Speaker 7: respond or nothing for like nineteen days, and I'm.
- 53:40Speaker 6: Like, wait, they've been getting paid what they be doing.
- 53:42Speaker 7: And then that's when it was like, you never said
- 53:44Speaker 7: thank you, and I was just like, damn, you couldn't
- 53:46Speaker 7: just tell me that.
- 53:48Speaker 2: You let night even go buy Yeah, like.
- 53:50Speaker 7: Bro, I lost a couple thousand dollars, and I was like,
- 53:53Speaker 7: what's going on? Like we who doing this? And then
- 53:56Speaker 7: you know, the team sat down and that person's just like, yeah,
- 53:59Speaker 7: you never said thank you. And I was like, oh, okay,
- 54:01Speaker 7: well look I ain't gonna do bitness with you no more,
- 54:03Speaker 7: but I do apologize. Maybe the next life, I'm gonna
- 54:05Speaker 7: say thank you when I rehire you.
- 54:07Speaker 6: And we build again.
- 54:10Speaker 4: Oh man, gotta love it. Gotta love it.
- 54:13Speaker 3: So all right, so in the last second, we're going
- 54:15Speaker 3: to go into the board game itself, and then also
- 54:17Speaker 3: I want to talk about your education that you're doing
- 54:20Speaker 3: as far as your homeschooling, and then also the educational
- 54:23Speaker 3: hub that I believe you're working on. So we're gonna
- 54:26Speaker 3: get to that in the last segment. All right, So
- 54:28Speaker 3: now we're going to talk about what you know has
- 54:31Speaker 3: really really blown you up on social media and That's
- 54:33Speaker 3: how I actually learned about you was through the board game.
- 54:35Speaker 3: So can we talk about that the in Home Banking
- 54:38Speaker 3: board game?
- 54:40Speaker 2: First?
- 54:40Speaker 3: What made you do the board game? And what's the
- 54:43Speaker 3: format of the board game?
- 54:45Speaker 7: I got you, ro, So I'm just gonna make sure
- 54:49Speaker 7: I share it in the most positive way. I created
- 54:55Speaker 7: the concept in Home Banking in twenty seventeen, and I
- 54:58Speaker 7: was just doing courses. It started out as like a
- 55:01Speaker 7: one day class, and then it turned into a course
- 55:03Speaker 7: because I saw people took to it. Our last course, Bro,
- 55:06Speaker 7: I believe we had two thousand and eight people and
- 55:08Speaker 7: in the final day of class, only fifty two people
- 55:11Speaker 7: turned in all their homework assignment, so they kind.
- 55:14Speaker 6: Of disappointed me. I'm like, man, what did we just
- 55:16Speaker 6: sit here for six weeks and.
- 55:17Speaker 7: Do if y'all really weren't even doing the work outside
- 55:20Speaker 7: of me when I'm building with y'all.
- 55:21Speaker 6: So I'm sitting there, BRO, and.
- 55:23Speaker 7: I remember, like I was taking my medicine that day,
- 55:26Speaker 7: you know, just meditating in my world, and I said, Bro,
- 55:31Speaker 7: it just the light buddes.
- 55:32Speaker 6: Kinds like I'm gonna turn into a board game.
- 55:34Speaker 7: And Bro, one of the biggest things I've understood about
- 55:35Speaker 7: our people is we love entertainment. And I was like,
- 55:38Speaker 7: if we could find a way to basically infiltrate their
- 55:41Speaker 7: house and trick them into thinking it's just a fun, family,
- 55:44Speaker 7: colorful game, then we're gonna force them to learn.
- 55:47Speaker 6: So Bro, I hit my project manager. I'm like, Bro,
- 55:50Speaker 6: I want to make the board game YadA, YadA, y'all.
- 55:52Speaker 6: And he was like cool. XY said no, no, no.
- 55:54Speaker 7: Initially, Bro, I didn't have a project manager, but I
- 55:57Speaker 7: ended up getting a project manager. When I was telling
- 55:59Speaker 7: y'all like the people in Las Vegas was trying to
- 56:00Speaker 7: prow price guy. When the whole price gathering thing happened,
- 56:03Speaker 7: I had the dude I was, I was cool without
- 56:05Speaker 7: in Vegas.
- 56:06Speaker 6: I hit him like, Bro, what's up with your people?
- 56:07Speaker 6: They price gathering? YadA out of y'all.
- 56:09Speaker 7: He like, Brono, what's going on? But I got this
- 56:11Speaker 7: little dude I know who got some some ties overseas.
- 56:15Speaker 6: He'll he'll, he'll, he'll hook you up.
- 56:18Speaker 7: So he just give me the dude number. Bro Like, no, Lie,
- 56:21Speaker 7: I don't know him from nowhere. His English terrible, Like Bro,
- 56:25Speaker 7: it was like the most awkward phone call ever. But
- 56:27Speaker 7: I ain't gonna lie bright, he had no choice. I
- 56:29Speaker 7: get on the phone to do he like, Hey, this
- 56:31Speaker 7: is my name, yea y out of Yeah. He's like,
- 56:33Speaker 7: I can make this happen for you, but you're gonna
- 56:35Speaker 7: have to wire like two hundred and twenty five thousand
- 56:37Speaker 7: dollars and no, lie, Bro, my only option was either
- 56:41Speaker 7: send him that money or refund nine hundred grand work
- 56:44Speaker 7: for orders.
- 56:45Speaker 6: And I was not of finna do that. So Bro
- 56:47Speaker 6: literally got it.
- 56:48Speaker 7: The next day, I learned how to send my first wire,
- 56:51Speaker 7: and I sent money to a stranger.
- 56:53Speaker 6: Bro. I didn't even know his foot name.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Bullets.
- 56:58Speaker 7: I don't even know his name, but like our kids,
- 57:00Speaker 7: you're not Bro. He just landed at five thirty five likes.
- 57:03Speaker 7: That's like my best friend now two years going on
- 57:06Speaker 7: two years later because we down here where I'm about
- 57:08Speaker 7: to roll out roll out an artificial intelligence and robotics
- 57:11Speaker 7: company in the water company, so he down he just
- 57:13Speaker 7: got the temple literally like an hour and a half ago,
- 57:16Speaker 7: so we could map that out. But yeah, Bro, So
- 57:18Speaker 7: I shot that to him just on a hope in
- 57:21Speaker 7: the prayer and Bro, he literally hit me back a
- 57:23Speaker 7: couple days later and it was like, look, I'm gonna
- 57:25Speaker 7: have some samples to your door within two Within two weeks,
- 57:28Speaker 7: signed off on the samples and they're gonna start mass
- 57:30Speaker 7: producing and from there, Bro, we've been rolling ever since.
- 57:33Speaker 6: I will say this.
- 57:34Speaker 7: Again, just speaking on the procrastination factor that Bro mentioned,
- 57:37Speaker 7: I did lose around like one hundred and fifty thousand
- 57:39Speaker 7: dollars on that board game on that project, from refunds, chargebacks,
- 57:43Speaker 7: for the simple fact that I wasn't really educated on
- 57:46Speaker 7: how to do business cross seeds, so a lot of
- 57:48Speaker 7: it was just trialing error.
- 57:49Speaker 6: For me.
- 57:49Speaker 7: It was just shooting my shot and seeing what a fall,
- 57:52Speaker 7: and eventually it fell. I figured out the formula and
- 57:54Speaker 7: we kept going. But on that first ten thousand batch
- 57:57Speaker 7: of board games, I definitely lost easily one hundred and
- 57:59Speaker 7: fifty with people just being pissed that it took so long.
- 58:03Speaker 2: What was that process?
- 58:04Speaker 5: Like, I mean, obviously you're talking about trust, You're sending
- 58:07Speaker 5: quarter million dollars overseas, what's that process like working with
- 58:09Speaker 5: people overseas. We've had an experience and it didn't go
- 58:12Speaker 5: that well. What was your experience?
- 58:15Speaker 7: The dope thing about him, right, his parents was missionaries,
- 58:19Speaker 7: so he kind of it's like he knows somebody everywhere.
- 58:22Speaker 7: So Bro, he got he got like healthy relationships to
- 58:24Speaker 7: where like when he called, they be on go. So
- 58:27Speaker 7: Ray ain't gonna lie. Like I've never spoken directly with
- 58:29Speaker 7: China ever. I hit Bro he middle man, and he
- 58:33Speaker 7: literally come back twenty four hours.
- 58:35Speaker 6: Later with a with a result, and I just green lighted.
- 58:38Speaker 7: But nah, Bro, in terms of everything, China has been
- 58:42Speaker 7: very professional. They've executed everything on time. And I'm gonna
- 58:46Speaker 7: tell you one more thing, Bro, in terms of the procrastination,
- 58:48Speaker 7: that did hurt during the process. So because that made
- 58:51Speaker 7: people wait so long, I really didn't have the option
- 58:54Speaker 7: to move it by ship. I did, but it would
- 58:56Speaker 7: have took an extra sixty days. So Bro, we had
- 58:58Speaker 7: to overnight tens thousand pounds worth of I mean ten
- 59:02Speaker 7: in terms of pounds. You got ten thousand board games
- 59:04Speaker 7: coming on a plane. Bro, I paid more for the
- 59:08Speaker 7: flight than I paid for the production, and I had
- 59:10Speaker 7: to do that twice because I took so long. So granted,
- 59:14Speaker 7: I made almost a million dollars off the first batch,
- 59:16Speaker 7: but we lost one hundred and fifty thousand refunds and
- 59:19Speaker 7: then we spent right around like two hundred and forty
- 59:21Speaker 7: five thousand and even get it here. So almost like
- 59:24Speaker 7: four hundred granted that was a well, not really an
- 59:26Speaker 7: l because some of it went into production, but four
- 59:29Speaker 7: hundred thousand of that was going out the door off
- 59:31Speaker 7: top because like overnight and that many pounds worth or
- 59:35Speaker 7: for board games is a serious it's a serious price.
- 59:38Speaker 5: So because it was delay, you expotuted it. So it's
- 59:39Speaker 5: like instead of seven to ten, now you're doing three to.
- 59:42Speaker 6: Five, right, bro.
- 59:44Speaker 7: So people already beating me over the head like where
- 59:45Speaker 7: are my game? Where are my game?
- 59:47Speaker 6: So I hit my bro. I'm like, man, they can't
- 59:49Speaker 6: get it hot fast.
- 59:50Speaker 7: He was like all right, bro, they could do overnight,
- 59:52Speaker 7: but because coming from China is still they overnight is
- 59:54Speaker 7: three days. And I'm like all right, bro. He was like,
- 59:58Speaker 7: you got to see me another ninety it's like ninety
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: eight grand.
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: Just for the flight. And I was like all right.
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: I sent him the money and they got in here
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: and then customs was tripping holding it up.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Bro.
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: We took like three U hauls all the way down
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: to Miami from Tampa, packed all the board games, so
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: many board games. We still didn't have enough U hauls
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: with three drove them back to Tampa. Start packaging and
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: getting it out.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: So as far as the board game, like I get
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: the game, what am I going to learn?
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Like?
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: Is it is it like Monopoly? Like what's the what's
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: the kind of format?
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: So bro? For me, in my opinion, Bro, it is.
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: It's really opposite the monopoly, right because the whole goal
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: is collective economics, and like it'd be funny, right people
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: look at the board and be like what do I
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: get when I go past goal?
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: And I'm like, Bro, the's same monopoly.
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: You don't wi our coachy be getting a ward at
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: one hundred thousand dollars when the graduate school, No, we
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: probably have a hoop being an eight dollar job in
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: fast food one that.
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: You feel me, Bro?
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: And then and then too not knocking monopoly, Bro, I
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: just felt like a lot of that was like it
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: just wasn't a genuine perspective for our culture, Like how
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: many of us get to inherit railroads.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: That's not a lot We.
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: The last people that need to be trying to monopolize
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: the bros and choke them out and break their neck,
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: you feel me? So my game is ready to total opposite.
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: It's kind of showing us collectively how to come together
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: and beat the system. Like in the game they have
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: these I have these cars caught system issues where you're
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: gonna roll the dice and you're gonna end up in
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: jail because you don't understand the discripan I'm sorry, just
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: sentencing discrepancies between powder cocaine and crack cocaine. A lot
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: of people don't know, Like our culture was targeted through that.
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: A lot of people don't know the difference between traveling
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: and driveling. So, bro, those are some of the things
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: that people are gonna learn in the game. And the
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: dope thing about it, which is the funny part, is
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: before you can play the game, you have to define
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: the intellectual property cards.
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: So people be super excited, like, yeah, man, just got
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: my game. I'm about to bust it open.
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: In my head, I'm laughing, like, nah, bro, y'all finna
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: do like a month worth of research.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: No, you know, it's interesting because I never thought about
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: it like that. But Monopoly, I mean, it's the name
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: is Monopoly. The game is to monopolize it. And it's like, yeah,
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: that is that really what you want to do as
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: an entrepreneur. And it's like, especially us in our community,
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: that's not probably something that we should aspire to, is
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: to monopolyalize something.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: It's probably not going to happen. Let's just be honest.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: But then B it's like we would be better if
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: we learned group economics.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: Like, so that's interesting.
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: I can't speak for all the other coaches, but I
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: think for ours that and the type of time we
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: need to be on right now talking about monopoly, we
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: need to try and figure out how to get our
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: infrastructure together individually, then get together collectively and become a powerhouse.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: But we we ain't even.
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: Got no legs right now to stand under someone like yeah, man,
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: I'm to monopolize out.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: We're working for working for Amazon.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: And I saw that you said.
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: It's also it's a it's really an educational course in games.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: It's like a game. It's like edvacational course in game
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: format where people learn. It's like going to school and learning.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Yeah, so you you that's ahead, No, you got well not, Bro.
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: I was just saying, like, that's always my moto.
- 1:03:12Speaker 7: BRO is just finding fun and creative ways that we
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: could learn and we could teach. So for me and
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: it worked, Bro, I really felt like, all right, y'all
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: this how we're gonna infiltrate the system even down to
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: the video game with you know this far we're going
- 1:03:24Speaker 7: PS five, Xbox and PC.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: But it's the same method the medicine in the candy. Bro,
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: We're gonna find it.
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: We're gonna figure out a way to get into your
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: crib and once we get in there, you're gonna be like,
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: oh okay, So, Bro, really trying to make us a
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: little more business savvy or stronger, you know, economically and financially,
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: you know why mixing a little ratchet in that.
- 1:03:44Speaker 6: So yeah, and.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: I respect you.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: Look you said with the with the pricing, because it's
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: not you can't look at it's just the regular board
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: game that's just here to entertain you. It's an educational course.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: So of course it has to be priced accordingly because
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: you're so if you look at from that point, it's extreme. Uh,
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: it's extremely underpriced.
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: Right, That'd be the question people people saying the time,
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: like why is the board game as much? And I'm like, Bro,
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: you couldn't have read a description because you would know,
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: like the secondary definition of this is a board game.
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: But if you're going with.
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: The primary, Bro, this is a tool like I'm teaching
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: you the different like small, well it's not small, but
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: the difference between the driving and traveling. You don't even
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: know what type of verbose are used when law enforcement
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: encountering you, or you don't understand the importance of your
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: Second Amendment, Like that's not a board game, that's real game,
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: real life inform application.
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: Yeah you need right now in twenty twenty. Twenty twenty
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: is turned up.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Bro, this.
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: I don't know what this year smoked that snort versus
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: this year is turned up.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: I was gonna go into the homeschool part because I
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: know you've been doing that with your children when you
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: were creating curriculums at that time for your kids. Is
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: this how you transition into the curriculum for the board
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: game in the sense?
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: Yeah, bro, that that's exactly what happened. So initially I
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: was just teaching my children different things in the crib.
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: One of the videos went viral on June a, twenty sixteen,
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: on my daughter birthday, and then the demand came and
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: people was like, man, I want my babies to notice
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: and know that. Then that's when I started saying, okay, cool,
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: let me write these curriculums. So I could start shipping
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: them out to the streets and people can start giving
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: the same information to their babies.
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: But nah, bro, that's it.
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: Literally is like a lot of the same information curriculum
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: wise on notes that I was taking for.
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: Years and then I just poured it into board game
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: formatt and ran with it.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: And yeah, speaking about the price, we always try to
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: do the little little discount for our listeners. We know,
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: we love you guys to earn this, so we call

- 1:05:54Speaker 3: thank you for that. I appreciate that for sure. And
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: like I said, I mean, that's something that I think
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: everybody needs to take advantage of because we learn in
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: different ways. Like even us we were talking off camera, but
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: all three of us has learned a lot from music.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: And you would think that, you know, music isn't necessarily schooling,
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: but it is a time for good or bad. You
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: can learn a lot from music, and I think to
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: actually have the the foresight to put the education in
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: a game format is very very brilliant.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: And you know, I've only heard rave reviews from it.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: I actually gotta gotta invest in one myself, play with
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: my son.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: I got to hear. So I got a question for
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: you after he's done.
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: So.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: So yeah, So I say that to say, if you
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: guys are interested, we do have a discount for you. Guys,
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: h e y L. Like I said, you can go

- 1:06:57Speaker 5: Yeah, you guys talked to me about a couple of
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: quarantine Man, Well, couple's quarant what's that about?
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Man?
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: Quarantine edition?
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: So me and my lady, uh, bro, we we came
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: up with a ten step god as to.
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: How we we we we stay young, happy at peace.
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: I mean, we have we have issues like everybody else
- 1:07:18Speaker 7: do sometimes, bro, like it happens. But for the most part, Bro,
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: we we and the collective we happy. We were young
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: at heart, were wild and we're free and not wild
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: in the negative way.
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: But you know, bro, just in terms of communication and.
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: Transparency and and just being intentional about being one another
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: peace or being a supporter speaking life into one another.
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: Bro. So we we we cooked up a.
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: God you feel me giving people ten it's like fourteen
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: steps on how we maintained that uh that special bond.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: Nah, it's dope, man, I keep saying that. Man. The
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: being like quarantine. It's a good time to be married. Man.
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: Like we spoke to somebody the other day it was like, Yo,
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: it's my I'm going on my first day in four months.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: I'm like, Damn, I couldn't imagine what that feel like.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: It's a good time.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: If you married to the right that's true.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: If the right person horse racing through the roof, that's true.
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: So say that. I remember me and her chilling. I
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: was just like, man, I'm so grateful for you. And
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: she was like wow, And I was like my last
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: relationship if I was quarantine with her like I would do.
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: And I I really sat there and just was thankful, like, man,
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: I'm glad, Like I ain't even tripping on the quarantines.
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: I'm just really surrounded by people that I genuinely love
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: and I love to spend time with them. It's not
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: like a time limit of like you know, after four hours,
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: I got a breakaway, Like, No, I love being in
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: this spot.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: I'm with you. I'm with you on that.
- 1:08:40Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: It's been like you said, you get to spend time
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: with your family.
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: My wife cooks every day, she takes care of everything,
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: takes care of all the kids needs.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: So it's been beautiful in that sense.
- 1:08:50Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: And then we get to learn and we get to
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: really appreciate the time that we have because we've been
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: in New York especially. Man, it's hustling, bustle, you know
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: what I'm saying. You usually you could see them in
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: the like before go to work. They come home from work,
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: it's like all right, trying to cook then and go
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: to bed, you know what I'm saying. So you missed
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: these these these type of moments, man, But definitely I'm
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: with you on that.
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: Nah Man.
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: So yeah, that was that was very lightful interview. Derek.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: You're your gentleman and a scholar, and I wanted I
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: want to say that too, because I think it's important
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: for people to, you know, not judge a book by
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: its cover.
- 1:09:25Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: It's like you see see a guy with guns, tattoos
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: on his face and dreadlocks, but he's very polite, he's
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: very he's very respectful, and that just goes to show
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: you that once again, we can't judge a book by
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: its cover, but you don't. You could be whoever you
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: want in this world. And that's the good thing, Legion, Like,
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: we never tell people you have to be this way.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: We have people from all different walks of life, different backgrounds,
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: and that's okay because it's like the world is made
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: up of a bunch of different types of people, right,
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: So never never discount somebody because of how they look,
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: because you could potentially be discounting somebody that could make
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: you a lot of money or you can make a
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: lot of money with it, could be a business partner,
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: you can get married too. So I think it's important
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: to highlight that because yeah, it's something that you know,
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: a lot of a lot of outlets probably would have
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: shot away like oh no, this is too what is
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: this going on here?
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: But it's like, we don't care.
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: It is what it is, and I'm gonna just rip it, bro.
- 1:10:26Speaker 7: I think that's I think that's one of the things
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: that make me most dangerous as well as the people
- 1:10:30Speaker 7: I build it is that we recept it to new information,
- 1:10:33Speaker 7: whether it be like I mean Bro, just speaking on
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: my lady, Bro, Like, my lady is a retired dancer
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: and I'm a dad with five children with three mothers.
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: You feel me society wise, She's the woman that they
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: say like stay away from, and I'm the daddy that
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: they say stay away from. But those two weird entities
- 1:10:54Speaker 7: in terms of society's definition joined, and.
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: You feel me. I ain't gonna lie, Bro.
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: I feel like I'm the most dangerous I ever being.
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: I make more money than I ever made, I'm happier.
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: I've been losing weight, but I've been gaining weight my
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: whole life. I've been losing weight lately. I'll be riding
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: my bicycle and eat my pine.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: I feel you.
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: My dangerous connections in the most artist places. That's because
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: we make ourselves receptive to people, and we don't just
- 1:11:17Speaker 7: you know, shut the door on because society said, don't
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: kick it with somebody that looked like this and that.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: Now that's a fact.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: Anything you want to make the people aware of that,
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: we might not have talked about. How can people contact you?
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: Follow you? And all of that information?
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: Absolutely, bro.
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: So just three things, Bro, First and foremost, I want
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: to shot y'all out I'm in my save folder. Y'all
- 1:11:37Speaker 7: got to excluse the second role. Let me click on
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: y'all pictures. I got some stuff in his save that
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: the world needs to steven anyway, I'm in my saved
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: folder right and it says that I see there Ago
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: Earn Your Leisure is the best podcast on iTunes.
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: I was.
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: I was actually planning to repost this tonight. Bro literally
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: say this seven hours ago off ash cash page. So
- 1:11:56Speaker 7: saluted y'all bro for killing it, because y'all really do
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: be killing it. And uh, outside of that, Bro, I
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: just want to say, everybody be on the lookout for
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: great essentials. I'll be rolling out my water, my toilet
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: tissue company, and we got self defense weapons that's rolling out, uh,
- 1:12:10Speaker 7: and also my artificial intelligence and my robotics company is
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: rolling out this summer as well. So I know a
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: lot of people, especially the other side, they thought our
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: culture was gonna be dead last in terms of tech
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: artificial intelligence.
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: But I got a.
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: Plug cross Seas and I literally got eight robots from
- 1:12:25Speaker 7: my living room as misspeaking absolute absolute best to get
- 1:12:30Speaker 7: them in, to get them into the culture hands as
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: soon as possible, so our people not dead last when
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: it comes to these robots, and especially not our babys definite.
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: That's a fact. That's a fact.
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: Cho Yeah, shout out everybody on Patreon dot com. That
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: is our proud to pay program. We spoke about nip earlier.
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: We actually got that from him. And you know, if
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: you if you joined this five different tiers. The top

- 1:13:14Speaker 6: find out that I want to join?

- 1:13:24Speaker 5: get a grand interest when you come in.
- 1:13:26Speaker 4: Maybe you can teach a class.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: So so what we do is every week, we have
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: a different we call them professors teaching a class like
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: a zoom class. It's like interactive where people actually ask
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: get to ask questions because a lot of time they
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: see people on the podcast, but it's like they have
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: more in depth questions. So it's like an hour class
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: like a real class to teach. It presents for like
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: twenty minutes and then it's like an interactive discussion. So
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: if you're interested, we will love that.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: That's gonna be dope.

- 1:14:14Speaker 7: my arm while I'm in the crib like everybody else.
- 1:14:16Speaker 6: Bro. So for sure I make sure I get that
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: link from me so I could join Nah.

- 1:14:32Speaker 3: the most recent one.
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: But what books should they be reading from you?
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: Bro?

- 1:14:42Speaker 7: I would direct everybody to grab guys A months Man
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: Volume one. That's the one that made me a number
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: one selling author, and I feel like that's still my
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: most powerful book.
- 1:14:49Speaker 6: It's really a series.
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: I got my autobiography, then I got four different volumes of.
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: Gods a munch Man volume one.
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: But to me, I mean, you know I'm gonna say
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: this too, Bro, the post Trump Pack, I feel like
- 1:14:58Speaker 7: that body of work is the most dangerous body of
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: work I put out period, from the artificial intelligence to
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: the cold parenting to everything in there.
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: Bro.
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: I tried to touch on as many things in my
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: level of expertise that I could to give people some
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: game you feeling that they can apply tomorrow and get
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: it gone.

- 1:15:26Speaker 7: I stopped it there, but the pack is still one
- 1:15:28Speaker 7: hundred percent available, and that's comprised of like twenty twenty
