- 0:00It it is the worldwide sports radio network. 6 Super Bowl
- 0:06championships as head coach of the Patriots, 2 more as
- 0:09defensive coordinator of the Giants.
- 0:11The most accomplished coach of his generation by far apparently
- 0:16is not enough to be a first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 0:20How in the world did the Hall of Fame selection committee get it
- 0:23so wrong? And what was behind the scenes
- 0:26hijinks that led to this obvious screw job?
- 0:31The trade deadline is fast approaching in the NBA and NH.
- 0:34LS quote, UN quote. Soft deadline hits next week as
- 0:37well as the Yanis sweepstakes is officially on as the Knicks and
- 0:42other contenders vie for the by the far the best player on the
- 0:45market if he's healthy. While the Rangers announced that
- 0:49the soon to be former Ranger, the Bread Man, our Tammy
- 0:53Pinarin, will not play again until after the Olympic roster
- 0:56freeze if they can't move them before then.
- 1:00And before we call our shots and sit down at the round table to
- 1:04talk NBA, we will take a ride on the NFL coaching carousel and
- 1:08talk new coaches and familiar some familiar faces in different
- 1:12places on another. All gas, no brakes, Wheeling and
- 1:17dealing, styling and profiling. Live Thursday night edition of
- 1:23Jabba and the Man. Significant.
- 1:28You're going to have a ton of money to spend.
- 1:30Why not put it in one of the top three offensive players in the
- 1:33league? We're going to be looking at
- 1:43Aaron Judge and saying that he can't win the big game, Michael
- 1:46Jordan said. I played 82 games.
- 1:49You don't see LeBron doing that a game.
- 1:51Where you got to go? Before I told you giant feet
- 1:55Saquon Parker, this Listening to Jabba and the
- 2:57mouth. Mouth, yes.
- 3:02Ladies and gentlemen, we are back.
- 3:05I'm not scaring anybody tonight. I might scare myself because
- 3:09I've been drowsing off. Not I just I've been feeling a
- 3:14little stressed out so I popped a little pill, I'm relaxing and
- 3:20I might be dozing off a little bit.
- 3:21There's a lot to get into tonight.
- 3:23No Jabba, Jabba's flying to New York.
- 3:27You're listening to Jabba and the mouth.
- 3:31My name is Errol Marx and my Co host tonight, no Jabba
- 3:35Chamberlain, but I'm sure he's listening.
- 3:37So I salute you Jabba and enjoy your nice first class ride to
- 3:42New York. My other Co host, Mr. Speedy PD,
- 3:47executive producer, Mr. Aaron Fish Fishman on the board, Mr.
- 3:51Tommy Poops, we've got our interns, we've got the other
- 3:54hour, the NR hour. Mr. Nith, our PR manager, he's
- 3:58in the backroom, hopefully not hiding in the closet because he
- 4:02has reached the tip of the closet. 631-672-3108 is the
- 4:10number to call. Go to our website at
- 4:12www.worldwidesportsradio.com. Check out all our shows

- 4:20Mondays and Thursdays at 7:30 PM.
- 4:23All you have to do to tune in and check out our local listings
- 4:26for all our show is shows are go to our website at
- 4:30www.worldwidesportsradio.com. I want to say something.
- 4:34So I've been stressed out all day.
- 4:37There's a lot going on. I'm I'm working on a website,
- 4:41I'm working on some other business deals.
- 4:43So everything possible has gone wrong for me today.
- 4:48I I'm not going to mention why and what, but everything.
- 4:51So I was flabbergasted all day. I went to see my girlfriend, I
- 4:55stopped at her apartment and she said, take one of these, these
- 4:59will calm you down. And since then I've been trying
- 5:02to keep my eyes open and not drowsing off So I I've I've been
- 5:09trying to eat some candy as everybody sees on the side over
- 5:11here. You see that Hershey's kisses as
- 5:14I eat my Hershey's bar. It'll give me some sugar, a
- 5:17little sugar rush. And trust me, ladies and
- 5:20gentlemen, when I'm on a sugar rush, I could go all over the
- 5:24place, but you'll definitely enjoy the show.
- 5:26But I, I will say this and I, I, I say this because all these
- 5:32years doing this show and I've met so many people, I've gone to
- 5:36so many different events, I met so many athletes, so many
- 5:41different personalities in the music industry.
- 5:44The one thing I could say about this industry that you can't
- 5:47change is you have to be ready no matter what, no matter what.
- 5:52It doesn't matter if you're tired, you're sick.
- 5:54If you're invited to an event, you have to show up and you got
- 5:57to do the best that you possibly can.
- 5:58It doesn't matter how sick you are or how, how you feel.
- 6:01You got to go out there and give your best product.
- 6:04And that's what I do on this show.
- 6:05It's, it's crazy because sometimes I feel like a
- 6:08windshield wiper and I, you know, my head's bouncing back
- 6:12and forth and, and no matter what, I feel like I'm never
- 6:16ending water hitting that windshield.
- 6:18So it, it's, it's just to me an analogy, but I, I feel like the
- 6:23world is so very different now, not just in sports, but the
- 6:27world as a whole. And I wonder sometimes how I get
- 6:33through day by day and figure out, well, I'm going to get into
- 6:37sports conversation. I'm going to try to take people
- 6:39away from their crazy day, their work day, everything, keep away
- 6:43from their wives or their kids. And, and one thing I always want
- 6:48to do and I always prepare for, no matter how tired or how sick
- 6:51I had neck surgery. I had hip surgery and the doctor
- 6:56told me when I had my neck surgery that I could not speak
- 6:59into a mic for two weeks. The day after I had my neck
- 7:03surgery I was on the mic doing a show Speedy can vouch for.
- 7:06Me, yeah. The only day I think you ever
- 7:08missed a show is when you were actually in the hospital.
- 7:10That's right. Yeah.
- 7:11I don't miss shows. I don't run away no matter how
- 7:15sick I am. Doctors telling me I can't, I
- 7:17can be spitting blood. I'm going to come on the show
- 7:20and I'm going to entertain people.
- 7:21That's why when everybody asks me, well, we can have a show
- 7:24tonight. You can have a show.
- 7:25I can't wait for the show tonight.
- 7:26And and I'll say, are you sick? And I've been sick.
- 7:29I've been deathly sick with a fever.
- 7:31And I did a show and I went four hours on that show.
- 7:35So I don't care what anybody says, If you have love and you
- 7:38have passion for what you do, you're going to go out there, no
- 7:41matter how sick or how tired or how roughed up you are
- 7:44throughout your day to give the best product you probably can or
- 7:47possibly can. So anyways, Speedy, how are you
- 7:50man? I'm doing all right, Evan.
- 7:52What are you looking at? Are you looking at your lap?
- 7:54What? What the heck are you doing
- 7:56every time looking down? No, I'm I'm trying to post up
- 7:58our our Instagram feed on our Java in the mouth Instagram with
- 8:01our is it up with yes, with our fun new, with our great new
- 8:04graphic that you created it for our New York brand now, which is
- 8:07very cool. If you haven't checked out that
- 8:08logo yet, definitely check it out.
- 8:10It's very cool. But I want to give a shout out.
- 8:12He couldn't do a show today to Josh.
- 8:13Something happened with his kid. He was crying.
- 8:15So hopefully he's OK as well. Yeah, I heard.
- 8:18He reached out to me and said he couldn't make it tonight because
- 8:21of something with his family. I didn't know it was his son.
- 8:23So yeah, Caleb, he called me the kid.
- 8:25His kid was crying on the phone, so I was.
- 8:27Hopefully Caleb and Carter, OK, maybe they're sick.
- 8:31There's a lot of different diseases going around and I
- 8:35think stomach virus is going on right now here in Long Island.
- 8:38It's been very, very bad. People have been getting sick.
- 8:40So hopefully Caleb or Uncle Errol over here is selling Caleb
- 8:45and Carter to get better, get well and, you know, drink a lot
- 8:50of water, which I do every single day now.
- 8:54Maybe, maybe, maybe his kids will need my.
- 8:56Crystal light. My skin is not stretching.
- 8:59I don't look like I'm well, what?
- 9:00What am I-40? I almost said I was 73.
- 9:05I see scoops over here. He's sitting over here shaking
- 9:08his head. But you know, that's that's how
- 9:11torn I am when it comes to and I've never taken this pill
- 9:14before. So I I don't even know what it
- 9:16is. Brittany says it's it's like for
- 9:17stress. So I was like, is it going to
- 9:20make me drowsy? Dr. doesn't say it's I said
- 9:22whatever, whatever could take me, you know, take a little
- 9:25pinch of my stress stress out. I will.
- 9:28I'll take the the pill and I did and I've been drowsing off ever
- 9:33since. But trust me, I'm here to
- 9:36entertain people for the rest of the night.
- 9:38At 8:45, we'll be talking to Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker
- 9:42our friend FOIA Aloo again, and he will be joining us.
- 9:48He has always been so generous to come on the show after the
- 9:53season and work with us and talk about the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 9:56This guy was 10th in the league in tackles.
- 10:00He's one of the best linebackers in the NFL and this is going to
- 10:04be a treat for all the fans that's never listened to him
- 10:06interview. He's an interesting personality.
- 10:09He's very funny when he wants to be and he can give you the
- 10:13insurance and the outs when it comes to the XS and OS, when it
- 10:15comes to football and he is that good.
- 10:18So and he actually reached us. Reach out to us.
- 10:22What was it a week ago? Yeah, last week he was
- 10:24travelling a lot because after the season he was spending some
- 10:27time with his family. Obviously the Jacksonville
- 10:29Jaguars got knocked out of the playoffs against who?
- 10:32The Buffalo Bills. So we'll get into that game.
- 10:34He was all over the place in that game.
- 10:37So. And obviously Jacksonville looks
- 10:40like they're an up and coming team.
- 10:42They have some good nice young players.
- 10:44It looks like Trevor Lawrence looks like he's a prototypical
- 10:49quarterback now. He can actually make throws.
- 10:51So hopefully he continues to grow under Cohen and maybe this
- 10:56team is an every year type of team that could be fighting for
- 11:01a Super Bowl. So I'm very interested to hear
- 11:03what Foyer has to say about his new coach, Travis Hunter, AKA
- 11:07the Gremlin, because I'm sure he has his own thoughts to him.
- 11:12It's a captain he has to mentor Travis Hunter.
- 11:14Oh, nice. Anyways, ESPN Seth Wickersham
- 11:18reports Wednesday to the absolute shock of everyone that
- 11:24Bill Belichick did not get enough votes to get into the Pro
- 11:28Football Hall of Fame as a first ballot.
- 11:33Hall of Fame voters had a pick, well, had to pick up to three
- 11:39names, Belichick, Robert Kraft, Ken Anderson and Rodger Craig
- 11:46and Elsie Greenwood on their ballots.
- 11:50Yes, still, Belichick didn't make it.
- 11:54The athletic Mike Sando and the Hall of Fame voter himself is a
- 11:59Hall of Famer himself, says that recent rules change allowing
- 12:04coaches to be eligible one year after their retirement instead
- 12:08of the usual five years might have impacted some old school
- 12:13voters. In addition to the spy gate and
- 12:17Deflategate cheating scandals, many Patriot players, including
- 12:21Julian Edelman, both Mccourty brothers, Logan Ryan, Matt
- 12:26Castle tweeted their disbelief about Belichick not getting in
- 12:31on how he should have made the Hall of Fame on a first ballot.
- 12:35And they're ashamed of themselves.
- 12:37Well, they should be ashamed of themselves.
- 12:39There is also a theory that the Hall of Fame and former GM of
- 12:44the 90s Bills and and Peyton Manning era cults, Bill Polian,
- 12:50was telling other voters not to vote for Belichick as a
- 12:54punishment for cheating. But the Hall of Fame confirmed
- 12:57today that Polian did vote for Belichick.
- 13:00Yeah, sure. Belichick was part of the 2000s
- 13:05and 2000 tens all decade teams and was one of nine coaches on
- 13:12the NFL 100th Anniversary team. All nine other coaches were
- 13:18first ballot. Hall of Fame is Belichick is 1/3
- 13:21all third all time with three O 2 career wins and first all time
- 13:26with 31 playoff wins and six Super Bowl championships.
- 13:34Well, ladies and gentlemen, I wrote a story a couple of days
- 13:37ago and I spoke about the whole, my whole thought about Bill
- 13:41Belichick. I'm not a Bill Belichick fan.
- 13:43I'm not Everybody knows I'm a Jet fan and what he did to The
- 13:48Jets in 24 hours jumping ship when it was given to him.
- 13:53He was very close with Leon has Leon has sold his rights to
- 13:56Woody Johnson. He didn't want to work for Woody
- 13:58Johnson and Woody had his own opinion about Bill Belichick
- 14:02before he took the job. So Bill Belichick had no
- 14:05interest in staying there when Bill Parcell stopped stepped
- 14:08down. But here's the facts, ladies and
- 14:12gentlemen. As much as I can't stand Bill
- 14:15Belichick and maybe if Bill Belichick stayed with the New
- 14:19York Jets, The Jets would be the six time NFL champion and maybe
- 14:24be one of the more successful teams of the last 2020 years and
- 14:29decade. My fact here, the fact that the
- 14:34NFL doesn't appreciate a guy this good, this talented and
- 14:38actually drafted Tom Brady. He drafted Tom Brady in the
- 14:44sixth round. He took a chance on Tom Brady.
- 14:48If you look at the development of players that he developed
- 14:51over the years, think about it, Rob Gronkowski, Hall of Famer,
- 14:55Vince Wilfork should be Hall of Famer.
- 14:58Julian Edelman is one of the greatest playoff players we've
- 15:01ever seen, Wes Welker, We could go on and on and on.
- 15:07And now look, the one season that Tom Brady was not the
- 15:10starting quarterback because he tore his ACL and he was out for
- 15:13the season. Matt Castle was 11 game winner,
- 15:1911 game winner and earned himself a contract with Kansas
- 15:23City after that. Bill Belichick is the mastermind
- 15:29of the secondary. If you remember those giant
- 15:31teams in the 80s and the early 90s, who do you think was the
- 15:36guy that kind of transformed secondaries to really
- 15:40prototypically stop top end offensive teams?
- 15:44It was Bill Belichick. Bill Belichick was the reason
- 15:48why the Giants won their second championship, which is was early
- 15:52in the early 90s. Everything Bill Belichick has
- 15:56touched when it came to the NFL besides the Browns, because
- 16:00everybody that touches the Browns don't do well.
- 16:02But everything besides the Browns, Bill Belichick has been
- 16:06successful. Everything.
- 16:09Now everybody's gone back and forth with his drafts over the
- 16:12last five years with the Patriots.
- 16:14That's fine. Christian Gonzalez was his last
- 16:17draft pick. He's been pretty damn good.
- 16:21This is a man that comes from a football family.
- 16:25His father coached college, his father coached North Carolina.
- 16:30His father wrote a book about drafting and obviously
- 16:34developing players. This man is not just a teacher,
- 16:39not just a personality, not a guy that you just want to hate.
- 16:44This man has an understanding of the game of football more than I
- 16:49can say about any coach I've ever seen in my time of watching
- 16:54football. And the fact that the NFL
- 16:58committee would not give this guy the generosity to be a first
- 17:04ballot Hall of Fame is shameful. Absolutely shameful.
- 17:07I don't want to hear from the Patriot players.
- 17:09I want to hear it from the players that played against Bill
- 17:12Belichick. I want to hear from Ben
- 17:15Roethlisberger, who said something, Peyton Manning who
- 17:20said something, Eli Manning who said something.
- 17:25These are the guys that Bill Belichick had to play against
- 17:28either in championships or in regular season games and
- 17:33playoffs. His success didn't just come
- 17:38from the Patriots organization or Robert Kraft.
- 17:42If Robert Kraft didn't hire Bill Belichick, his success of this
- 17:48franchise probably wouldn't have even come close to where it's
- 17:52become as an elite team in all of professional sports.
- 17:56When you think of the New England Patriots now in the last
- 18:0030 years, you can compare them to teams like the Lakers, like
- 18:06the Yankees, organizations that are very well respected,
- 18:11organizations that are built around winning.
- 18:15Look, the New England Patriots are in the Super Bowl this year.
- 18:19Super Bowl 60 is hosted in San Francisco.
- 18:24It's not Bill Belichick's team, but Mike Rabel.
- 18:27Who coached Mike Rabel. Bill Belichick?
- 18:30Who drafted Mike Rabel? Bill Belichick.
- 18:35Think about this, if you look at success and success is not easy
- 18:44in the NFL. When you think of a coach with
- 18:4720 years under his belt as a as a head coach of one team, there
- 18:53are only two coaches that just stepped down, well got fired,
- 18:59Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh, that have coached their teams as
- 19:07long or almost as long as Bill Belichick in the last century.
- 19:12Think about that. Not Bill Parcells, not Tom
- 19:17Coughlin, not any of those great coaches I mentioned, Giant
- 19:23coaches, but a lot of great ones.
- 19:27Most of these guys, Jimmie Johnson, never coached the
- 19:32Cowboys. More than less, actually less
- 19:35than 10 years. When you have that kind of
- 19:39success, division championships, AFC championships, Super Bowl
- 19:46championships, and you look, yeah, you're going to point your
- 19:50fingers to the players. Tom Brady is, you could argue,
- 19:52the greatest quarterback to ever play this game.
- 19:56He probably is. You could argue that.
- 20:00Every great quarterback needs a great coach.
- 20:03Joe Montana, who was his coach, Speedy.
- 20:06Bill Walls. Ben Roethlisberger, who was his
- 20:09coach. Bill Cower, then Mike Tomlin.
- 20:12Eli Manning, who was his coach, Coughlin, Peyton Manning, who
- 20:16was his coach, Tony Dungy. Think about it, when you think
- 20:22of success of an organization, you need that guy.
- 20:25You need the guy that is going to speak up when the media is
- 20:28going to attack, which he didn't.
- 20:31And you're also going to want to hear the guy's mouth, even if it
- 20:35comes out the wrong way. I don't care when I when I when
- 20:41I read all these different stories and all these different
- 20:43writers coming out and saying that people are shocked.
- 20:46I'm not shocked. A lot of things have happened
- 20:49over the last couple of years that has hurt Bill Belichick 1.
- 20:56He decided to part ways after he got let go by the Patriots to go
- 21:02to college football. Now he he had an opportunity
- 21:05maybe to get that Atlanta job and it wasn't his fault.
- 21:08Atlanta decided to go another way with Raheem Morris who's now
- 21:10looking for another job. Bill Belichick then decided to
- 21:16go and coach college football, but while he was doing that,
- 21:21Bill Belichick is dating a 24 year old beautiful woman.
- 21:25Some guys would look up to Bill Belichick because he's doing
- 21:27that. But NFL and the way the NFL
- 21:29works, they're probably, you know, guys like Bill Polian or
- 21:36some of these committee guys that are probably in their 60s
- 21:38or 70s and they've been with their wives for like 40-50
- 21:42years. They don't like that.
- 21:46And I'm telling you, I know, obviously.
- 21:48Did Bill Belichick cheat Spygate?
- 21:51Yes. Did the NFL confiscate,
- 21:54confiscate all the video after that so nobody can see the
- 21:58video? Yes.
- 21:59Was Bill Belichick behind it? Yes.
- 22:02Deflategate. I don't think it was a gate of
- 22:04anything, but nevertheless, Bill Belichick was the coach.
- 22:09He was a part of it. So, of course, with John
- 22:12Harbaugh complaining about all the different things that he was
- 22:15complaining about, because Bill Belichick found ways to run his
- 22:19defense in his offense, which was legal at the time, it didn't
- 22:24say it in the rule book that he couldn't do it.
- 22:27It pissed off John Harbaugh. And then John Harbaugh reached
- 22:30out to Indianapolis and obviously said what he felt,
- 22:36said what he said about the deflate, the deflated balls and
- 22:40that the Indianapolis should investigate it.
- 22:42And they did. And I remember that was, I
- 22:43think, if I'm not mistaken, Andrew Lux last year.
- 22:46That was his second to last year and I think that was that was
- 22:49like a 44 to 7 blowout. Like, OK, even if you're play
- 22:52football, it's really good about it, that much of that game.
- 22:57The fact here is you can't hate somebody because he wins.
- 23:03He can't as a jet fan, all you jet fans out there that are
- 23:07listening to my take care, of course you're going to hate him.
- 23:10He decided to not take the jet stop to to go to the Patriots
- 23:15and look, did he make the wrong decision?
- 23:17The answer would be no. He made the right decision.
- 23:21He went to an organization he felt he had a better chance to
- 23:26succeed in. That does does that mean that
- 23:30the the thought that Bill Belichick and and what he did
- 23:34with to The Jets organization was right?
- 23:36No. Does that mean that the Rams and
- 23:40the Rams should have after the fact that he cheated when I was
- 23:44one of the greatest teams, one of the greatest offensive teams
- 23:46we've ever seen. Kurt Warner, Tori Holt, those
- 23:51type of players. I mean, they had one of the best
- 23:53running games, one of the best offensive lines.
- 23:55They had three offensive lineman that are inducted into the Hall
- 23:58of Fame. The the practice.
- 24:00They had a whole team could be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
- 24:02Hall of Fame. That's how good they were.
- 24:05They lost against a new New England Patriot team that was
- 24:08very young, a young Tom Brady. Did they cheat?
- 24:12Yeah. You only cheat if you get
- 24:17caught, and he got caught. They lost the first round draft
- 24:24pick. They had to spend some money.
- 24:25Not a lot of money, but enough. And Bill Belichick obviously was
- 24:30behind it. If anything, you would look at
- 24:34him as a genius because he changed the game.
- 24:39The dual tight ends, Who do you think first did that?
- 24:42Everybody's going to give O'Brien all the credit for that.
- 24:46But who hired O'Brien? Bill Belichick, Think about it.
- 24:53A transitional game every decade, every 10 years, Bill
- 24:58Belichick found ways to win. He never had to wait more than
- 25:05what I think five years to play in a in a Super Bowl.
- 25:08The guy was always fighting to play in the Super Bowl.
- 25:12How many AFC games? AFC Championships?
- 25:16He was in eight in a row. The only guy I can remember that
- 25:20was in 8 championship games is LeBron James.
- 25:25Is LeBron James a first ballot Hall of Famer right now in the
- 25:28NBA? If he retired tomorrow, the
- 25:30answer would be yes. But you know what?
- 25:35Nobody wants to give it committee.
- 25:36You don't want to give him any credit.
- 25:37You know why? Because he doesn't play on the
- 25:39football field. Oh, he's just calling the plays.
- 25:43I believe the hardest thing and the hardest sport to coach is
- 25:48football. You look at all the sports,
- 25:52hockey, basketball, baseball, there's just so many signs
- 25:58you're going to put up in baseball.
- 26:00There's just so many calls. You're going to put your hands
- 26:03up in basketball and hockey, football, there could be 7080
- 26:09plays in a game and you got to teach these guys.
- 26:15You got to get them into shape the offseason, OTAs coached them
- 26:21up. And with all that, Tom Brady was
- 26:27a first ballot Hall of Fame with all his success and he was very
- 26:31successful. Tom Brady won seven Super Bowls,
- 26:34one with Tampa. People would argue he's the
- 26:37greatest quarterback of all time because of his his success in
- 26:41the playoffs and his championships.
- 26:45Who was the coach of the six out of those seven games?
- 26:50Bill Belichick not only is the greatest coach in football
- 26:55history, he could go down is the greatest coach in sports
- 27:01history. Yeah, you heard it.
- 27:03The fact that I watched and I I said it on in like Flynn last.
- 27:06Week when I was picking the coach that, according to that
- 27:08Bleacher Report, like college football historian.
- 27:11They had him at 2121 Bill Belichick.
- 27:18I would take Bill Belichick over Phil Jackson to win 6 Super
- 27:25Bowls. One coach has never done that
- 27:27before. 1 coach has never even Vince Lombardi, who won five
- 27:32championships. They weren't Super Bowl 5
- 27:34championships, never won as much as Bill Belichick.
- 27:40Vince Lombardi, people argue, is the greatest coach in
- 27:44professional sports history. In that list on Bleacher Report,
- 27:48he was ranked second under John Wooden, who's the greatest
- 27:54college coach in basketball history.
- 27:58Think about it and you're going to not even put this guy in the
- 28:01top ten. It's shameful.
- 28:04And the NFL should, absolutely. I don't know what the NFL should
- 28:10do on this. I honestly have no idea how to
- 28:12explain this. It doesn't make sense.
- 28:16None of it does. It doesn't.
- 28:19You don't like somebody. Well, oh, the writers don't like
- 28:21them. Oh, the committee don't like
- 28:22them. So we're going to have them sit
- 28:24for a year and then we'll put them in.
- 28:26What does that do? That just pisses them off.
- 28:28Look what they did to Terrell Owens.
- 28:33Terrell Owens to me is just a little bit under Jerry Rice.
- 28:39Some people say Jerry Rice is the greatest football player to
- 28:43ever tie up his cleats. A lot of people think that he's
- 28:48better than any quarterback that played in this league.
- 28:53And if you lick, if you look at when you're trying to compare
- 28:58these two guys, what are their numbers?
- 29:01What what is different about these guys numbers?
- 29:04It's not by much. Terrell Owens obviously is a
- 29:09little bit under Jerry Rice, but absolutely a Hall of Famer.
- 29:16And that's that's the problem right now.
- 29:18How do you vote these guys in? What do you look for Is it wins
- 29:23championships? Everybody says if you don't win
- 29:25a championship, you're not a first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 29:28OK, let me ask you guys a question, and this is a good
- 29:34question. Drew Brees is up to be in the
- 29:38Hall of Fame this year, right? What?
- 29:43He's won how many championships? He's won one.
- 29:48Is he a first ballot Hall of Famer over Bill Belichick?
- 29:52Not a chance in hell. And I love you, Drew.
- 29:56Not a chance in hell. I'm sorry.
- 30:01I'm not going to sit here and beat around the Bush Drew Brees,
- 30:05as good as he was, Drew Brees would not be Drew Brees if he
- 30:08didn't go to New Orleans and be coached by Sean Payton, where he
- 30:12built his offense around Drew Brees.
- 30:17And Sean Payne's an offensive coordinator.
- 30:21Let's ask everybody, what is Bill Belichick?
- 30:25He is a defensive coordinator who turn who turn Tom Brady into
- 30:30the greatest quarterback to ever play this game.
- 30:34Think about it, a defensive coordinator, we hear it all the
- 30:38time. Fish talks about it all the
- 30:39time, that defensive coordinators are probably the
- 30:44defensive coordinators are the easiest play callers.
- 30:47It's easy. It's the offense that's hard to
- 30:50coach. It's the offense to try to
- 30:52figure out the the under the lingo on the speaking and and
- 30:57getting these guys in the right position.
- 31:01Bill Belichick was the coach of all these successful teams.
- 31:05Tom Brady's game changing games was because of Bill Belichick
- 31:10play calling. How about this, some of the
- 31:13greatest football seasons we've ever seen a quarterback have.
- 31:16And I remember the Randy Moores year with Tom Brady breaking
- 31:20records, who was the head coach of that team?
- 31:24It was Bill Belichick. Think about it.
- 31:28And you're not going to put this man as a first ballot Hall of
- 31:32Fame Famer and and to be compared to some of the greats.
- 31:36Bill Parcells, was he a first ballot Hall of Famer?
- 31:41Let me ask you guys a question, who do you think was a better
- 31:45coach, Bill Belichick or Bill Parcells?
- 31:47How about this, the 2 championships that Bill Parcells
- 31:51won? Was it Bill Parcells that won
- 31:54those championships and the calling the play calling from
- 31:57Bill Parcells? Or was it Bill Belichick's
- 31:59defense that won those championships?
- 32:01That's where the Bills won. It was Bill Belichick, Giant
- 32:06fans. You're not going to be.
- 32:07This is not something to beat around a Bush about.
- 32:12We understand what it takes to win.
- 32:14I'm a Jet fan and I never see wins.
- 32:17I see losses, I see losers. I see quarterback after
- 32:22quarterback, coach after coach, GM after GM.
- 32:25And you Patriot fans and all you fans out there that couldn't
- 32:28stand the Evil Empire, we call the Patriots win year in, year
- 32:34out. That guy who we couldn't stand
- 32:36Belly, I used to call him because he used to give me a
- 32:40stomach ache every time I watched him, wearing his his
- 32:44little hoodie, his short sleeves, walking up and up and
- 32:49down the sidelines in the cold, in the snow, win after win,
- 32:56championship after championship, laughing after laughter.
- 33:03And what I mean by laughing is the only time you've seen this
- 33:06guy smile is when he wins the championship.
- 33:08And if he can even peak a smile when he does that, it's pretty
- 33:11amazing. The man stood for championships.
- 33:17The man store stood for the game of football.
- 33:20And this guy doesn't go in as a first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 33:23It doesn't make sense. Devin Mccourty is going to be a
- 33:28Hall of Famer, a safety from Rutgers.
- 33:36There are not many guys that come from Rutgers football that
- 33:39become an elite player at that position and who developed that
- 33:45kid? Bill Belichick It's, it's
- 33:51problematic when you think about when I'm, I'm bringing up all
- 33:54these different things and I'm trying to slice it because it's
- 33:58like a piece of bread and, and a loaf of bread.
- 34:01You know, if, if you're a hungry guy, you could probably go
- 34:03through a half a loaf of bread with three sandwiches.
- 34:06All right, a pie is 8 slices, right?
- 34:13Bill Belichick, think about this.
- 34:16If you think about a pie and there's 8 slices, He coached
- 34:19this team four years or I'm sorry, 44 pizza pies, more than
- 34:27probably half the coaches in the NFL and in NFL history think
- 34:33about that. I would say 3.
- 34:35I'll take away 433 more pizza pies than most coaches in the
- 34:40NFL. I just don't get it.
- 34:45I don't understand the reasoning behind it.
- 34:47A lot of people want to put the point their fingers at Bill
- 34:50Pullian or this guy or that guy or this girl or that girl.
- 34:55I don't think it's anybody but the committee as a whole that
- 34:58didn't like this man, doesn't respect this man with his
- 35:02success and have reasons behind of hate because of his
- 35:06relationships over the years with Roger Goodell.
- 35:10Robert Kraft throwing him under the bus after the fact that he
- 35:14decided to part ways with him. And Robert Kraft probably is
- 35:20bitter that he chose Bill Parcells.
- 35:23I mean, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Bill Belichick over Tom Brady.
- 35:26Tom Brady goes over there to the Buccaneers and in his first
- 35:29years wins the Super Bowl. And ever since Tom Brady left,
- 35:32he doesn't win a Super Bowl or even appear back in the Super
- 35:35Bowl. I don't care.
- 35:40There's nothing to nothing in this story that would make
- 35:44anybody smile, even if you hate Bill Belichick.
- 35:46And there are a lot of Jet fans on social media that have come
- 35:50out and said this doesn't make any sense, and I'm one of them.
- 35:54It doesn't. There's nothing that the NFL
- 35:58could try to sell me now today to tell me that Bill Belichick
- 36:02isn't a first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 36:03Because if I did and I was with that committee, I'd smack them
- 36:06all in the face. I'd wake him up.
- 36:08I'd dump water on him, but I get some like what are they like
- 36:12vampires or something? Maybe I get some prayed water so
- 36:16if I throw it out them they'll melt or something.
- 36:20It it's just, it's it's horrible.
- 36:23It's horrible how the NFL does not respect the guys that have
- 36:29transitioned their game, have brought their game to the higher
- 36:32levels. We've never seen this.
- 36:34And I don't think we'll ever see a coach this successful ever in
- 36:38the NFL. Ever.
- 36:43These accomplishments will never be broken.
- 36:46Ever. Just like though, we'll never
- 36:48see a Tom Brady, we'll never see a Michael Jordan, We'll never
- 36:52see a Wayne Gretzky, We'll never see a Muhammad Ali.
- 36:57We'll never see a Serena Williams.
- 37:03We'll never see a Tiger Woods. These guys transition their
- 37:10sports. Bill Belichick transition the
- 37:15coaching game. Not just in the NFL.
- 37:18In all of sports. Very well said.
- 37:22And he also did it as AGM too, and that's what a lot of people
- 37:25are forgetting. And other coaches have tried to
- 37:27duplicate that. Chip Kelly, Bill O'Brien, like
- 37:29you mentioned, he tried to do that with the Texans and it
- 37:32badly failed. And for whatever reasons that
- 37:35you want to like dupe Bill Belichick out of being a first
- 37:38ballot Hall of Famer makes no sense.
- 37:39And it wouldn't surprise me if Robert Kraft maybe like he did
- 37:43when he was putting in denial interviews for the Falcons, all
- 37:48his other teams to get him a head coaching job.
- 37:50Who says he does not connect with those voters?
- 37:52Oh, I want to get him first over Bill Belichick to make a point.
- 37:55So who said Robert Kraft couldn't be behind that either?
- 37:57But that's a whole other conspiracy theory.
- 37:59I'm not going to go down as much.
- 38:00I want to mention those two arguments that people want to
- 38:02make against Belichick, one of which is obviously his
- 38:04relationship. Now, that's not going to impact
- 38:07anything when the college football and Pro Football Hall
- 38:09of Fame are not connected. It's not like basketball where
- 38:12NBA and college coaches are all in there and college players,
- 38:15NBA players are all in at the same time.
- 38:16This is your two separate Hall of Fame.
- 38:17So if you want to hold it against him that he's dating a
- 38:2024 year old, it is a weird relationship, I understand.
- 38:23But you want to hold that against him.
- 38:24It doesn't work for the NFL sake as much.
- 38:27And then the other argument is, oh, when Tom Brady left to go to
- 38:31Tampa, he won a championship. OK, Bill Belichick coached Cam
- 38:35Newton when he was washed and Mack Jones.
- 38:37How many coaches are going to win Super Bowls with that?
- 38:40Good luck with that. Tom Brady had Bruce Arians, who
- 38:42was a top 10 coach in the NFL at the time, and good offensive
- 38:45skill players around him in Tampa.
- 38:46Two time coach of the year. Yes, I yeah, again, maybe even
- 38:50fringe top five coach at that time, you could say top ten, top
- 38:52five, whatever. He was a quality coach, one of
- 38:54the best offensive coaches in the NFL at that time and had
- 38:58Mike Evans say Chris Godwin. He had good tight ends.
- 39:00He had a good offensive line and you're going to say, oh, Tom
- 39:04Brady was the only reason that they won a championship?
- 39:06No, it's not the case. Also, think about it.
- 39:08Think about how many offensive lineman came and gone and we're
- 39:11successful with the Bill Belichick offense and then they
- 39:15leave and absolute failures. Oh yeah.
- 39:17So many of them. Think about it, there are so
- 39:20many players that have played in this offense and play in this
- 39:22defense and then they left. They got their big contracts
- 39:25gone elsewhere and failed. Never were as successful then
- 39:30they were when they were, they were with the Patriots.
- 39:33Think, think about that. That's because of Bill
- 39:35Belichick's game planning. And we've had guys on the show
- 39:38saying that Bill Belichick is one of the coolest, one of the
- 39:41funniest guys you'll ever meet. Yeah, he's got the dry humor off
- 39:44the field. Yeah, but but nobody would know
- 39:46that because he can't stand the media and he doesn't ever
- 39:49release any information out to the media which would hurt his
- 39:52team or hurt any of his players. Yeah.
- 39:54And there's a point that it gets to just pettiness for some of
- 39:57these writers. I again that you we talk about
- 39:59with baseball like you can't have that reflect for somebody.
- 40:01That is a first. Ballot type guy Bill Belichick I
- 40:05think is the greatest head coach ever.
- 40:07If you want to say he's second or third, like that's if you're
- 40:09two or three, you're still a first ballot hall.
- 40:11He's the greatest. I think he is too.
- 40:13I hated him too. I hate it.
- 40:14I used to make always Lombardi. Lombardi and Jeff.
- 40:17We have Jeff on the phone. We'll get Jeff on in just a
- 40:19second. I I've gone back and forth with
- 40:21Jeff for over the over the years.
- 40:23It's been over 14 years I've been back and forth and Jeff, as
- 40:27he would say he's a Jet fan, but he has been a Patriot fan his
- 40:32whole career since he since he was a kid.
- 40:35And I've gone back and forth with him saying Lombardi,
- 40:37Lombardi, Lombardi, I'm sorry Lombardi couldn't itch Bill
- 40:41Belichick's ass. All right, I'm sorry.
- 40:44And I, Vince Lombardi, I never got a chance to see him coach.
- 40:47Vince Lombardi was nowhere close to the success story that Bill
- 40:51Belichick built over there with the New England Patriots.
- 40:53He was an amazing play caller and I don't care what anybody
- 40:58says. Oh, well, he didn't call the
- 40:59offense. What are you talking about?
- 41:00He said, hey, coach, you think he's not?
- 41:02First of all, and I'll say this, McDaniel, who hired him, who
- 41:08coached them up? It was Bill Belichick.
- 41:12Every one of these guys, O'Brien, every one of these guys
- 41:15he hired who coached them up, Eric Mangini decided to go and
- 41:22coach The Jets. What did Bill Belichick do?
- 41:25He took his stuff because he didn't want his guys to ever
- 41:28coach the New York Jets because he couldn't stand the
- 41:30organization. I know the story.
- 41:32He took all of Eric Magini stuff and he took it and put it in a
- 41:36box and put it outside the offense and locked the office
- 41:39and change the locks. That's Bill Belichick.
- 41:42Like it or not. That's who he is.
- 41:46And you, you might not like him, and I'm a Jets fan.
- 41:48I couldn't stand him. I know no Giants fan likes Bill
- 41:51Belichick, but you have to respect him.
- 41:54You have to. And if it wasn't for Bill
- 41:56Belichick Giant fans, you wouldn't have.
- 41:59You wouldn't have had two championships in the 80s and the
- 42:0290s. Yeah, quickly, before we get to
- 42:04fun. Oh Godfest, what do you?
- 42:06Think yeah, like I respect Bill Belichick.
- 42:09I, I, I don't. I didn't hate Bill Belichick.
- 42:11Jets fans hated Bill Belichick for obvious reasons.
- 42:14He left them high and dry and then was killed him in the
- 42:17division for the next two decades.
- 42:19The Giants, we beat them both times in the Super Bowl.
- 42:22And he got us 2 Super Bowls in the in the 80s and 1990.
- 42:25I got, I got nothing but great things to say about Bill
- 42:29Belichick. But you said you wouldn't get
- 42:32into conspiracy theories, Speedy.
- 42:34I'll do that for you real quick before we get, I guess Jeff's
- 42:37calling in. Yeah, he's on Robert Kraft.
- 42:39Robert Kraft getting in over Belichick would be the craziest
- 42:44thing, and I think it's going to happen now because there were
- 42:46only five guys on the list. Belichick's not in.
- 42:50He's not one of them. Who else?
- 42:51Were they really putting in all those other three?
- 42:53Or are they going to punish Robert Kraft too?
- 42:57Or was this part of? No, I feel like a big craft.
- 43:01It feels like there was some of that.
- 43:03The Bill Polian stuff is a little like too Kaiser soze ish
- 43:06for me. Like, oh, he like.
- 43:09Apparently Ryan Lee came out and he was one of the ones that
- 43:11apparently did too. Who cares what necessary trust?
- 43:15Me all I know it's he's like, well, maybe he was telling
- 43:18people not to vote and then he voted for him anyway so that
- 43:21they couldn't trace it back to him.
- 43:22I heard that today. Belichick always knew when to
- 43:25give up on guys. Maybe a year early, but
- 43:28sometimes he gave up on them when they were.
- 43:30The only position. Giants took Nate Solder speedy,
- 43:33Remember that one You said the. Only position he had problems
- 43:38drafting is wide receiver. That's.
- 43:40It you know why? Because Coughlin was the wide
- 43:43receivers coach back in the day on that those Giants teams and
- 43:47Coughlin always had the best receivers and it was always the
- 43:50best competition between the two of them.
- 43:52They set in practice in those days.
- 43:54And then obviously you saw Coughlin was the only one that
- 43:58could hang with him that undefeated season until it was
- 44:00Game 18 and one. And then obviously in the second
- 44:04Super Bowl, the Giants won as well with Coughlin.
- 44:06But just before you let Jeff in, I had to say I never said
- 44:10coaching defense is easy or calling defense easy.
- 44:12It's just like you got the dollar menu type of play sheet.
- 44:15You said it's a lot easier. It's a lot easier because the
- 44:18size of the play sheet is so much smaller than what you have
- 44:23for offense. There's so many more things.
- 44:25Remember, McAdoo had The Cheesecake Factory menu of play
- 44:31calls. It had like a million play calls
- 44:33on it. It's just a lot of defensive
- 44:34coordinators they have. That's a lot of that
- 44:37internalized. Probably just.
- 44:38Need to get a few things out, you know, like some like
- 44:41advanced blitz is like wink, I bet has just like a little index
- 44:45card with like his blitz packages for the weekend and
- 44:49that's all he needs. In fact, I've seen him do it.
- 44:51So it's that's that's kind of the difference between offense
- 44:54and defense. But let's hear with this crazy,
- 44:57this crazy Jeffrey that in Florida.
- 45:00All right, Jeff from Tampa. What's up, buddy?
- 45:04Errol, we have gone back and forth forever on this, and I'm a
- 45:08reformed Patriots fan now. I'm just like you.
- 45:10I'm a Jets guy now, huge Jets guy, right?
- 45:14But it's good to see you come around on this a little bit,
- 45:18right? Because it's like he's
- 45:20undeniably the best coach that's ever coached in the NFL.
- 45:23No question. No question.
- 45:24Like he's. Coached in the hardest of times,
- 45:28like all these other guys that compare him to, Lombardi never
- 45:31had to deal with free agency. You got a guy, you owned him,
- 45:35right? Belichick has survived all the
- 45:37storms. And the cheating thing I don't
- 45:40even buy into, right? Because that's a joke.
- 45:42If you go back to Jimmy Johnson's tweet from a day ago,
- 45:45he goes cheating. I used to do that every week.
- 45:48So they were all doing it right. So this and this is just one of
- 45:54the most ridiculous things I've ever seen.
- 45:56If he's not a Hall of Famer, who is?
- 45:58I, I will tell you right now, everybody on the ballot, I
- 46:01would, I would take Bill Belichick over all of them, Drew
- 46:04Brees, every one of them. This guy has done things for
- 46:07this league that nobody will ever accomplish.
- 46:10I don't think they'll any, they'll ever be a successful
- 46:14coach, as successful as Bill Belichick.
- 46:16The the success story and in a division that would at at some
- 46:20points were arguably one of the best divisions in football.
- 46:24The Jets weren't always bad. Miami wasn't always bad.
- 46:28Buffalo wasn't as always bad. All these teams were good at
- 46:33some point of those 20 years. And remember, Rex Ryan played
- 46:37against Bill Belichick. We've seen this.
- 46:39We we've seen great, you know, great games between both of
- 46:43these guys. And even Rex Ryan, when he heard
- 46:45this, what Rex Ryan said about this, he said this is an
- 46:48absolute catastrophe. How could the NFL and the
- 46:51committee absolutely agree to this and not put this man?
- 46:55I'm not saying Robert Kraft doesn't deserve some of the
- 46:58credit, but guess what? Who do you think disposed of
- 47:01those videos? It wasn't Bill Belichick.
- 47:03Hold on. Hold on, what does Craft deserve
- 47:05credit for? If you look at if you look at
- 47:08the the league report card that went around, Patriots have the
- 47:12worst facilities, the worst stadium, the worst travel.
- 47:15They got F for almost everything.
- 47:18And then when you look at the spending, the actual spending in
- 47:20the league, Robert Kraft has spent the least over the last 20
- 47:24years. So what are we giving them
- 47:25credits for? No, I understand that.
- 47:27And obviously Jeff, a person that has what we say has rooted
- 47:32for them in the past as he became a, a new full blown jet,
- 47:37formed a Jets fan, I'm sorry, reborn, reborn Jet fan.
- 47:42Obviously the thought here is, is that Robert Kraft is is Roger
- 47:47Goodell's best friend or one of his good friends.
- 47:49And because of that, he is going to be inducted as a first ballot
- 47:53Hall of Famer. And that's the only reason why.
- 47:54And I do believe that there is some kind of cahoots with these
- 47:59two guys, these two men who fish together.
- 48:02There's 100% of conspiracy theory going on, right?
- 48:05Because we, we've talked about this a long time ago, right?
- 48:09But if you're telling me the Patriots were a 20 year dynasty,
- 48:14right, there's. Who's in the Hall of Fame?
- 48:17It's Tom Brady and who they They won't let in Willie McGinnis,
- 48:20they won't let in Vince Wilforth, they won't let in any
- 48:22of these other players. So you're telling me they have a
- 48:25dynasty but nobody's any good? It makes no sense.
- 48:29And I agree with you, Jeff. There were a lot of great Ty Law
- 48:32made it into the Hall of Fame. But, and by the way, who drafted
- 48:35Ty Law? I mean, nobody wants to give any
- 48:38any credit to this man, this man who has really re changed the
- 48:43game, defensive play calling. He is the guy.
- 48:47He's the king. He's the guy that what he did.
- 48:50What did Bill Belichick always do?
- 48:51He took out your best player. He made sure that I'm going to
- 48:55take out your best player. You got to beat me with your
- 48:57secondary players, your third, your third players.
- 49:00If you beat me, well, there you go get you have the chance to
- 49:03beat me. But they got to play.
- 49:05They got to play at a top level and they never did.
- 49:08And Bill Belichick was the king of doing that, finding ways to
- 49:11beat teams. And by the way, Peyton Manning
- 49:14over the years has said the hardest team to play against was
- 49:18a Rex Ryan defense and a Bill Belichick defense.
- 49:21Think, think about that. Arguably the greatest
- 49:24quarterback of, well, you can argue the 2 greatest
- 49:27quarterbacks of this era was Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
- 49:31And Peyton Manning came out and said the only two defensive guys
- 49:35that he couldn't play very well against is Bill Belichick and
- 49:38Rex Ryan. Think about that.
- 49:41And this guy is in the 1st. And Rex Ryan doesn't even itch
- 49:45Bill Belichick's ass. He doesn't even come close.
- 49:47No, he just puts a tattoo. On he doesn't even come close.
- 49:49That's right, he probably. There's something, there's
- 49:51definitely something fishy here going on, and I wouldn't put it
- 49:54past the conspiracy theory that Bill, but Bill Polian found
- 49:58eleven other guys to vote no so he could vote yes too.
- 50:00You're literally talking about a guy that was just the biggest
- 50:03bitch that had to create new rules to beat Bill Belichick.
- 50:08Right? Like he was the one going and
- 50:10complaining the whole time with the Colts and all these other
- 50:12TDs. He's a he's such a cry baby.
- 50:15He's a sly man and, and again, a slither as they call it.
- 50:20And obviously Bill and that's another guy.
- 50:23The Jets have hired Bill Polian over the years to hire their
- 50:26coaches. It hasn't worked for The Jets.
- 50:29But he's another guy though. Like they come out a couple of
- 50:31days later to say that oh he voted for him.
- 50:34Then why did he change his Story 3 times?
- 50:36Yeah, I don't know. I don't know, Jeff.
- 50:40I, I I don't. Mention setting in that series
- 50:42that the Jew can't A can't remember who we voted for and
- 50:45then B was backtracking it and then didn't know.
- 50:48Come on. It makes no sense.
- 50:50None of these He's a. Snake, you know he's an absolute
- 50:52snake. 100 percent, 100% a snake and and again, the NFL,
- 50:57everybody on that committee should be ashamed of themselves,
- 51:00should be ashamed. I'll give you another one that
- 51:02makes Belichick the GOAT, right? This dude actually read the rule
- 51:06book and did shit that had John Harbaugh on the sidelines in
- 51:11tears, crying because he didn't know the rules that Bill
- 51:14Belichick did because he actually read the rule book.
- 51:17I mentioned that. I mention it and then it was
- 51:20John Harbaugh that reached out to Indianapolis and told
- 51:23Indianapolis, oh, they're deflating the balls, go get
- 51:26them. And and which is.
- 51:27Another farce which is a whole nother made-up story.
- 51:30Yeah, it was John Harbaugh. I just so everybody does it or
- 51:33they haven't watched football too long.
- 51:35It was the one. John Harbaugh was the one that
- 51:37reached out to Indianapolis and created that whole deflate gate.
- 51:41It was John Harbaugh who now is the head coach of the New York
- 51:44Giants, by the way, so. I remember the rules there.
- 51:47No, unfortunately, and I'm not saying John Horrible isn't a
- 51:50nice guy and he's not talented at what he does.
- 51:52It just it, it everybody is jealous of his success.
- 51:56And Bill Belichick has always gone out and and has been
- 51:59successful. And if you give Belichick a
- 52:01little bit more time, he'll probably be successful in the in
- 52:04the NCAA too. If he could just keep that woman
- 52:07into yeah, that's not going to happen and keep her, you know,
- 52:10away from the field, I mean, or something.
- 52:12I mean, that's not that's. Not going to happen.
- 52:15He's not. Well, I I think I I will say
- 52:19this, that by next year I think he will get another coaching job
- 52:22in the NFLII think that he will I.
- 52:24Don't know if they want to do that either.
- 52:25He's at the age that if they hire him, they're going to just
- 52:28have to fire him in three years anyways and rebuild again.
- 52:32Most organizations don't want to do that.
- 52:34They want to fight. Everyone's looking for the next
- 52:36Bill Belichick in the sense that they're looking for the guy to
- 52:40have a 10 or 20 year run with. You're not having that with Old
- 52:45Bill. I agree with you, Jeff.
- 52:47Jeff, thank you for calling, Bud.
- 52:49And then one last point for you, Errol.
- 52:51I totally disagree that coaching defense is easier than coaching.
- 52:55Offense. Why is that?
- 52:56I can. I can come out and start a game
- 52:59and I could have all week just scripted plays, right?
- 53:02You can't script a defense and say no matter what, this is what
- 53:05we're doing, no matter what personnel another team runs in
- 53:08you. Can script one drive Jeff?
- 53:10It was so great talking to Jeff. We love you, Jeff.
- 53:13Thank you for calling Bud. Jeff hey, it's, you know, it's
- 53:16time to take a ride. Errol.
- 53:17Yes, on on the coaching carousel.
- 53:21That's right. Let's do it.
- 53:23Let's wrap it. Let's rock it.
- 53:25Let's slap it like a pocket. All right, here we are, the
- 53:29coaching carousel. We're going to go through all of
- 53:33these coaching hires relatively quickly before we get our great
- 53:36guest on in a little bit. First one, Joe Brady, promoted
- 53:41from offensive coordinator to head coach of the Bills.
- 53:44Again, very curious, Errol, just before you get into it, you
- 53:49know, they said they wanted to change so they fired McDermott,
- 53:52but then they promoted their own GM to president and then
- 53:55promoted their OC to head coach. What change are we talking about
- 54:00again? There were rumors of Brian Dabel
- 54:02going there. That doesn't happen.
- 54:04They then hired Jim Leonard to be defensive coordinator.
- 54:09How you do? How you feeling about?
- 54:10I love it. Brady.
- 54:11I I like Joe Brady. I think he's a very talented
- 54:14offensive coordinator. He's seen what he's done with
- 54:17obviously Josh Allen and since he's taken over for Josh Allen,
- 54:20they've been one of the more good or dominant offenses we've
- 54:25seen over the past couple of years.
- 54:27And, and by the way, you look at the MVP that Josh Allen won, who
- 54:32do you think was coaching and who was the offensive
- 54:34coordinator when he won his first MVP?
- 54:35It was Joe Brady. It wasn't Brian Table.
- 54:38So his success has a lot to do with Joe Brady and and obviously
- 54:42the development of a young Josh Allen.
- 54:44Now, obviously Brian Table is going to get a little bit more
- 54:46credit because he changed his throwing motion and all that.
- 54:49And maybe maybe so and very well deserved.
- 54:51But I love the fact that you're bringing Jim Leonard in.
- 54:54I love the fact that you're you're bringing in a younger
- 54:56coaching staff. If you want to figure out how to
- 54:59get to that next level, you have to bring in new voices and
- 55:03transition it in a better way. And I think this is a great move
- 55:06by the Bills. Yeah, I would mention when they
- 55:08fired McDermott and we talked about it, where the defensive,
- 55:12the Bills, the play calling was historically bad.
- 55:14I think they needed a real change with that.
- 55:16That's why I think they got rid of McDermott.
- 55:17So Jim Leonard's a different type of defensive guy.
- 55:19I think that'll really help. I thought Brian Flores was the
- 55:21best high head coach hire for them for that reason, plus a
- 55:24good culture guy. But I think this is good for
- 55:26them. Brian Flores, before they even
- 55:28hired, signed a contract with the Minnesota Vikings.
- 55:31He was going nowhere. Yeah, I didn't say it was
- 55:33likely. I just said that's what I would
- 55:34have. Done.
- 55:35I don't know if anybody's ever going to hire at this point.
- 55:37I don't think it is. It would have been the Steelers.
- 55:39It's been three years and there was a guy in Kansas City that
- 55:43was looking for a job for a very, very long time and never
- 55:46landed one. And where is he now?
- 55:47Back in Kansas? So there you go.
- 55:49Yeah, with Brady, it's interesting because sometimes we
- 55:51see these these types of in house hires.
- 55:54You saw that with the Saints, with Dennis Allen.
- 55:55I knew that was the worst one as he was bad with the Raiders.
- 55:58They boxed it recently with top Bulls, but this is the best one
- 56:00of that group just because he's been successful and comfortable
- 56:02with that team. Was Brady the guy at LSU that
- 56:06Burrow year with the Chase and Jefferson?
- 56:08Yeah, that was him. All right, That that's pretty
- 56:11good for me. I'm very curious to see how they
- 56:13do if I guess you know, you're taking the restrictor plate off.
- 56:17The offensive coordinator now gets to do everything he ever.
- 56:19Wanted to do fish. They've been one of the best
- 56:21offensive teams in all of the NFL since Joe Brady has came and
- 56:25has taken over for that offense mid.
- 56:26Season to remember. Yeah, yeah.
- 56:29Hard to argue, young guy. We'll see how it goes.
- 56:32New York team, right? Let's go to the more interesting
- 56:34story, which is the Cleveland Browns.
- 56:36The Cleveland Browns hired Todd Munkin as their next head coach.
- 56:41Again, he's the former Ravens offensive coordinator for the
- 56:44last few years. Munkin was like lined up to be
- 56:49the offensive coordinator of the Giants, but I guess he passes
- 56:52good personality tests and writes good, good essays for
- 56:56homework for the officials over there with the analytical crowd
- 56:59in Cleveland, which is apparently how they do things.
- 57:02The thing that is the The most fascinating thing about all this
- 57:06is defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who the Browns tried
- 57:11like hell to retain, but without giving him the head coaching
- 57:14job. For whatever reason, they didn't
- 57:16want to go with him, although his defense clearly carried the
- 57:20program for the last couple of seasons.
- 57:23It's it's just madding. He lost his mind, basically told
- 57:27him and not such nice language to go F themselves and he'll
- 57:32never coach for them again. They can go to hell.
- 57:35Jim Schwartz, you know, probably one of the best defensive
- 57:38coordinators the last decade plus.
- 57:40He had a head coaching job a couple of years ago and he
- 57:44failed. Yeah.
- 57:45And and usually when you fail, it takes a while for you to get
- 57:48another head coaching job there unless your guys like Brian
- 57:51Dabel had probably is lined up next year to get a head coaching
- 57:54job or Josh McDaniel, Rex Ryan or Josh McDaniel who gets gets a
- 57:59coaching job right away. But obviously Todd Monken is an
- 58:03interesting hire. We'll see how it works.
- 58:05He doesn't have a quarterback. And I don't want to hear about
- 58:07Shador, Mr. Prime Blind. I mean, I I don't know if Shador
- 58:11is going to be the answer over there.
- 58:13I think they have Miles Garrett. Miles Garrett, how long is it
- 58:16going to be where he's going to force his way out of there to go
- 58:20to a championship team? He's one of the greatest
- 58:22defensive lineman we've seen in this era.
- 58:24And he might never win a championship.
- 58:26And we've seen a lot of great players not win championships.
- 58:29I think Miles Garrett is going to force his way out probably in
- 58:31the next two years if he wants to play for a championship.
- 58:35This team is not championship bound.
- 58:37This is an ownership that doesn't know what they're doing.
- 58:39And I guess Todd Monken was probably the best available
- 58:44offensive coordinator, but how much, how much could you compare
- 58:49that to Lamar Jackson? Didn't want him there anymore.
- 58:51As a matter of fact, Lamar Jackson told John Harbaugh, if
- 58:55you come back, you get rid of Todd Monken.
- 58:57I don't want to be coached by Todd Monken.
- 58:59And then when John Harbaugh said, well, I'm I'm kind of
- 59:03hesitant if I'm going to bring it back or not, That was pretty
- 59:06much the story that I was reading.
- 59:08Well, that's when Lamar Jackson went to ownership and said, get
- 59:11rid of John Harbaugh. I don't want to be coached by
- 59:13him anymore. And then denies it.
- 59:15So I think there's there's a lot of truth to that story.
- 59:19I don't know how good Tom Monken is as an offensive coordinator
- 59:22because guess what? Baltimore's offense wasn't what
- 59:25you call explosive this past. Year It's interesting because I
- 59:29think Todd Monken, I thought he should have gotten a head
- 59:31coaching job after his tenure with Tampa when he actually
- 59:33before Ariens was there, was actually a pretty good offensive
- 59:35coordinator there. Then he went to Atlanta, had a
- 59:37Goodyear there and then he's kind of bumped the rounds.
- 59:39He had to adapt again to change his offense with Baltimore.
- 59:43So that's the one thing I do like about this hire.
- 59:44But you're stuck with a really broad Browns team that has been
- 59:47any talent on offense. So don't expect it to work right
- 59:49away. The Jim Schwartz angle, yeah, it
- 59:51looks bad when you interview him twice as a head coaching
- 59:54candidate and then just let him go like after that, disrespect
- 59:56him. Like they just don't even
- 59:57interview him if you're. Going to He was never getting
- 59:59that job because he was. Really just as a figurehead to
- 1:00:01just to stay in the organization as a defensive coordinator.
- 1:00:05All right, let's move on to the New York Jets.
- 1:00:08So Rich Samini reports that The Jets are going to hire Dolphins
- 1:00:13secondary coach Brian Duker as their next defensive coordinator
- 1:00:17who coached with Glenn with the Lions from 2021 to 2023.
- 1:00:22Glenn will be calling the plays now.
- 1:00:24Wink Martindale, as we talked about on last show, it was all
- 1:00:28lined up apparently for months for Wink.
- 1:00:31And we know this because when Wink didn't get the job, he let
- 1:00:35everybody in the media know exactly what happened.
- 1:00:38According to Wink, at least in his perspective, it was a done
- 1:00:41deal. He flies in to talk to Glenn and
- 1:00:45all of a sudden Glenn wants to call plays.
- 1:00:48When Wink was told he was going to be calling plays, it was
- 1:00:50never part of it. In fact, it appears that Glenn
- 1:00:53recently had a change of heart because zero of the people in
- 1:00:58their first round interviews of the eight people they
- 1:01:01interviewed were Brian Duker. And Brian Duker is 36.
- 1:01:05And I think all those guys were interviewing under the premise
- 1:01:08they were going to call the plays.
- 1:01:10That's what happened here. The Jets fired seven other
- 1:01:12coaches, including offensive coordinator Tanner Eggstrand,
- 1:01:16after just one season. They've interviewed 5 different
- 1:01:19OCS, including Frank Reich, and even reached out to Gruden.
- 1:01:23But Gruden turned it down to stay with his podcast and gigs.
- 1:01:27Well, there's a lot to get into and I'm not going to speak too
- 1:01:30deep into it, but if you're a Jet fan and I, I like Aaron
- 1:01:34Glenn, but I'm starting to twist the other way.
- 1:01:37I am starting to worry that nobody is going to be able to
- 1:01:40get along with this guy. He had problems with Aaron
- 1:01:43Rodgers. He made Aaron Rodgers fly up
- 1:01:45here. And before Aaron Rodgers even
- 1:01:46had a thought to try to I guess sell himself to The Jets, he
- 1:01:50told him to take a hike just as quick.
- 1:01:53And this is a problem with Aaron Glenn.
- 1:01:54I'm not saying Aaron Glenn isn't a good guy.
- 1:01:57I'm not saying that Aaron Glenn might not be a great coach, but
- 1:02:00if you're looking at 9 coaches that you hired in one year, you
- 1:02:03fire this is this is bad. This is this reminds me of Brian
- 1:02:07Dabel. The same story with Brian Dabel.
- 1:02:10He started firing his own coaches because he couldn't get
- 1:02:12along with his own coaches and then what?
- 1:02:14Within two years he gets fired after one year of successful
- 1:02:17football. This is no success story for the
- 1:02:20New York Jets in a three win season.
- 1:02:22And now you're going into a second year where he's on the
- 1:02:24hot seat. He decides to fire his offensive
- 1:02:27coordinator. Young offensive coordinator had
- 1:02:29nothing to do with their losing situation because he had no wide
- 1:02:32receivers. He fires him.
- 1:02:34They still don't have an offensive coordinator.
- 1:02:36He reaches out to Todd Gruden. Todd Gruden told him to take a
- 1:02:39hike. He had no interest in taking
- 1:02:42this job because why would he want to be coached by Aaron
- 1:02:44Glenn when he could be the coach on another team?
- 1:02:47And and again, it just to me, it's not surprising.
- 1:02:51I think this might be the last time in the last year we see
- 1:02:54Aaron Glenn as a head coach. If this team doesn't find a way
- 1:02:57to win eight games, there is no way the jet fans are going to
- 1:03:00let this guy survive unfortunately.
- 1:03:02And honestly, it might be fortunately, because this guy,
- 1:03:05so far in the last couple of weeks, looks like he has no
- 1:03:08control over his coaches and no control over his team.
- 1:03:12Yeah, it it looks bad when it is exactly the Brian Dabel
- 1:03:15situation. Brian Dabel did with three
- 1:03:16different coaches and now Glenn's doing with like 6.
- 1:03:18Like it's not an ideal combination with that.
- 1:03:21So you don't want it to have to get that badly where you're
- 1:03:23getting, I guess too much of A power hungrier or what you want
- 1:03:26to call it, because I don't think extra deserves to lose his
- 1:03:28job. I think field was the wrong type
- 1:03:30of quarterback for his type of scheme and Fish.
- 1:03:32I think one of the five guys that was listed was Greg Roman.
- 1:03:35So if they keep fields, maybe they go for that angle, but it's
- 1:03:37to cut fields anyway. But yeah, it's really going to
- 1:03:40make it a less desirable job for any of these guys.
- 1:03:42Doesn't look good is probably the prognosis for The Jets
- 1:03:47season this year. They better hope you know, I
- 1:03:50don't know if they're going to keep Glenn.
- 1:03:51If they can't, they're not at least be serviced.
- 1:03:53They're not. There's no way they keep Glenn
- 1:03:55after this happened in the offseason.
- 1:03:57There is no way. It's it's so he's telling, you
- 1:04:00know, I don't know how much of it's the organization.
- 1:04:03I think a lot of it's Glenn. I think there's more than a few
- 1:04:06whispers that he just doesn't have a real grasp on, you know,
- 1:04:08control of what he's doing. You know, it's his first time.
- 1:04:11It's, you know, maybe that's not meant for him.
- 1:04:14Maybe he's meant to be a really good coordinator.
- 1:04:16You know, you can do that. So we'll see.
- 1:04:18Let's get into it. It's Brian Stable, my favorite
- 1:04:22former Giants head coach. He got hired.
- 1:04:26And this is almost like I called it could have wrote this.
- 1:04:29We could have wrote this as a comedy bit two years ago because
- 1:04:32it was it would be hilarious. And now that Robert Sala is a
- 1:04:35head coach of the Titans, it's Bambi and and Brian Dabel is the
- 1:04:41OC, we heard some whispers that this hiring is kind of
- 1:04:44independent of Robert Sala. Bambi, Sala hiring him.
- 1:04:49This is more of the Titans ownership that wanted Dabel.
- 1:04:53So I'm sure that'll go well over time.
- 1:04:57Other things about it, Carmen Brasilo, the best coach, I would
- 1:05:03argue on the Giants last year, the offensive line coach is
- 1:05:07going with Dabel to protect Cam Ward.
- 1:05:09And there were stories that came out that Dabel really, really
- 1:05:14pushed to trade for Cam Ward in that draft, moving up, trading
- 1:05:21the number three pick that would have been guys are messing with
- 1:05:28the cameras. Sorry, I just show the.
- 1:05:29Bambi solid graphic. That's all right.
- 1:05:32We know all about Bambi Solid. I will say this, I will say
- 1:05:35this, I think this is good for Cam Ward.
- 1:05:38I think that Dabel knows how to develop quarterbacks.
- 1:05:41He developed Josh Allen. He did help Jackson Dart this
- 1:05:44year. I know Jackson Dart obviously
- 1:05:47didn't have him for a full season, but this guy knows how
- 1:05:49to develop young quarterbacks. I think this is an absolute slam
- 1:05:53dunk, but how long is this going to last?
- 1:05:55What? Robert Sala?
- 1:05:56I mean, Robert Sala, I don't care.
- 1:05:58I couldn't believe Yahoo Sports ranked Robert Salas higher as an
- 1:06:03A minus. How do you rank Bambi Salo as an
- 1:06:08A minus? This guy was despicable.
- 1:06:10He's one of the worst coaches in Jets history and statistics
- 1:06:13would tell you he could go down as one of the top five worst
- 1:06:16coaches in NFL history and they're giving Yahoo Sports is
- 1:06:20giving an A minus. Bleacher Report gave him AB
- 1:06:23plus. It's ridiculous.
- 1:06:25It's absolutely ridiculous. And the fact that him and Dabel,
- 1:06:292 New York coaches are working together, oh man, how long is it
- 1:06:33going to take for these guys to be fighting on the sideline
- 1:06:36because Table couldn't get along with any of his coaches?
- 1:06:38How is he going to get along with Mr. Bambi?
- 1:06:41Oh yeah, it's a country music territory.
- 1:06:43This is a potential for the rodeo clown show.
- 1:06:46And with Robert Sala, it's. Absolutely pathetic.
- 1:06:49This is an absolute catastrophe. Giant fans and Jet fans have
- 1:06:53something to laugh about. And Fish, you were talking about
- 1:06:55it like it's always bad when the GM and the ownership wants one
- 1:06:58thing and Robert Sala wants another.
- 1:07:00Those are not the teams that work out well.
- 1:07:02But you don't think it's going to be like that Reese's peanut
- 1:07:05butter commercial where the peanut butter truck and the
- 1:07:07chocolate truck, you know, they're just having a bad day
- 1:07:09and they collide and it comes, comes something beautiful, you
- 1:07:12know? Ryan.
- 1:07:14Dave will just eat it all. Dave's.
- 1:07:17Well, I mean, Dave slimmed down in the last year.
- 1:07:19Didn't help a lot. Didn't help a lot.
- 1:07:22You. Know then Dave's probably used a
- 1:07:25lot of shots to to trim down. Yeah, and he slimmed his brain
- 1:07:28down a lot. Yeah.
- 1:07:29Look, I I met him the one time right before the season started.
- 1:07:33I told him good luck. Basically he gave me a grunt and
- 1:07:36a fist pump and that was the extent he.
- 1:07:38Gave you a grunt. Wow, it was.
- 1:07:41Like it was like sitting there watching.
- 1:07:44I was sitting there watching like 7 year old flag football.
- 1:07:46I don't give a grunt while fired.
- 1:07:48Salad will give deer noises. No deer.
- 1:07:52Deer deers are generally silent. Yeah, they don't make noise.
- 1:07:55They I don't. Know if you knew that?
- 1:07:57They pounce. That's what they do.
- 1:08:02There's a lot of deer up by me. I don't know how if you got it
- 1:08:04out there on the island. Yeah, we got listen, we we got
- 1:08:06one more topic here left on the carousel.
- 1:08:09Let's get into it. And this one is kind of curious.
- 1:08:14The Broncos, after getting eliminated, you know, in the
- 1:08:17championship game, fired their offensive coordinator, Joe
- 1:08:21Lombardi. Now, they didn't have their
- 1:08:23quarterback for the championship game.
- 1:08:26Jared Stidham was the quarterback and he hadn't played
- 1:08:29the game in three years and he and there was a snowstorm.
- 1:08:32Neither quarterback got over 100 yards like you.
- 1:08:36And then you look at what the Broncos did this year on the
- 1:08:39offensive side, they were 10th in total yards per game, 14th in
- 1:08:44scoring, 11th in passing yards, 16th in rushing yards.
- 1:08:50Not bad, not great, but like, not bad.
- 1:08:53And you can argue not a super talented cast of running backs,
- 1:08:58not a super talented cast of receivers.
- 1:09:01On that team, they got a bunch of role players and they pieced
- 1:09:03it together. They got Sutton is their best
- 1:09:06skill guy. Is it really that guy's fault?
- 1:09:11Do they need to fire this guy? Stidham really affected his
- 1:09:16opportunity to keep his job. I think it was all on the fact
- 1:09:20that Jarrett Stidham in the second-half was abysmal and
- 1:09:24Peyton had to point his finger at somebody and he had to point
- 1:09:27it to him. He was the guy that he pointed
- 1:09:29his finger to. And Sean Payton is one of the
- 1:09:31more accomplished offensive coordinators we've ever had in
- 1:09:34the NFL. You could argue it's probably
- 1:09:36the second best play caller right behind Andy Reid, but the
- 1:09:41fact here is Jarrett Stidham is a bona fide backup third string
- 1:09:44quarterback. It didn't work out in the snow
- 1:09:47and I don't even think if it was snowing that they win, even with
- 1:09:51Jarrett Stidham. I'm not blaming Lombardi.
- 1:09:53I'm not going to point my fingers at him because hey, your
- 1:09:57backup quarter quarterback didn't show up.
- 1:09:58If it was Bo Nicks and Bo Nicks didn't show up in a big game,
- 1:10:02that's different. But Bo Nicks played at a very
- 1:10:04good season this year, had a very good season the year
- 1:10:06before, and Lombardi had a lot to do with it.
- 1:10:09And with a young quarterback in development, it's not easy to
- 1:10:12develop a quarterback in the NFL, and he did it pretty well.
- 1:10:16So Lombardi's going to get another coaching job, an
- 1:10:19offensive coordinator job, sometime in the next couple of
- 1:10:22years, maybe in a year when coaching.
- 1:10:25You know, a coaching transition will happen next year when they
- 1:10:28need another offensive coordinator.
- 1:10:30It's a shame that Sean Payton decided to part ways with.
- 1:10:33Him, yeah. I wasn't crazy about his play
- 1:10:35calling throughout the year, but I don't think this was a
- 1:10:36firewall offense. Remember, he also just Bo.
- 1:10:38Nick's also played very well the week before against the Phils.
- 1:10:40And he's better than Todd Monken.
- 1:10:42Probably #1 pass defense in the NFL were the Bills last year,
- 1:10:47this year 156 yards a game and boat next played very well in
- 1:10:49that. I can't criticize him for that
- 1:10:51just because Jared said him had a bad game and I think this
- 1:10:53makes no. Sense.
- 1:10:54It doesn't make sense. I got a quote here from Jay
- 1:10:57Gruden and it's on Twitter. Oh damn.
- 1:11:00Joe Lombardi got fired OC at Broncos tough business.
- 1:11:03Lost in the AFC Championships with backup quarterback.
- 1:11:06Guess he made the call on 4th and two not to kick the field
- 1:11:09goal. Got a tee time at noon tomorrow.
- 1:11:12Joe, give me a call. I think people are going to give
- 1:11:16Lombardi a job pretty quickly. I don't think so.
- 1:11:18I think they're going to wait a year.
- 1:11:20I think next year when there's new coaches available, whoever
- 1:11:25needs an offensive coin, Lombardi will be one of those
- 1:11:28guys. Maybe the New York Jets when
- 1:11:29they're hiring a new coach because it seems like Karen
- 1:11:31Glenn is not going to last too long over there the way
- 1:11:33everything is going in Jetsville.
- 1:11:36And by the way, I'm interested to see what The Jets are going
- 1:11:38to do in the draft this year. At #2 there's no other
- 1:11:42quarterback. I don't know if The Jets could
- 1:11:44trade down. Do they pick at #2 And it seems
- 1:11:46like they might have to. So where do they go?
- 1:11:49It's it's an interesting position being that this is not
- 1:11:52a quarterback class this year. It'll be next year.
- 1:11:54But The Jets do have three first round draft picks courtesy from
- 1:11:58Indianapolis and the Cowboys, including themselves next year.
- 1:12:02So they could be positioned to get whoever they want next year
- 1:12:05if need. So very interesting on the Aaron
- 1:12:08Glenn saga. And I'll tell you this right
- 1:12:10now, if you're a Jet fan, you're probably predicting that there
- 1:12:13is no way Moji is going to go into another offseason where you
- 1:12:17have three first round draft picks with Aaron Glenn.
- 1:12:19If Aaron Glenn doesn't win more than eight games this year and
- 1:12:21the way it looks, he's not going to win more than five games this
- 1:12:25year the way this team is transitioning and transitioning
- 1:12:29in the offseason. So if they could bring some of
- 1:12:31these Lion superstars over here just because Aaron Glenn, that's
- 1:12:34good for The Jets. It's just not going to be good
- 1:12:36for the organization moving forward when it comes to salary
- 1:12:39caps. So typical New York Jets
- 1:12:42fashion. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:12:44we call this the deuce of the day.
- 1:12:46The deuce of the day you log. Not a log.
- 1:12:50I don't have a log but. You know, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:13:00I watch a lot of boxing, a lot of boxing.
- 1:13:04And if you don't remember, Jake Paul was supposed to fight Tank
- 1:13:09Davis a couple of months ago before the year was over.
- 1:13:13It was cancelled because Tank David Davis had some domestic
- 1:13:17violence. You know, there was stuff coming
- 1:13:20up, going out there that he was beating up his girlfriend.
- 1:13:23And the story didn't really grow.
- 1:13:26It kind of disappeared. I don't know what happened.
- 1:13:29And then 3-4 months later, now you're hearing that they were
- 1:13:32looking for him, They wanted to arrest him and he disappeared
- 1:13:35off the face of the earth. Well, ladies and gentlemen, in a
- 1:13:39two weeks, in two weeks time, they finally found Tank Davis in
- 1:13:43Miami. He was hiding out in Miami.
- 1:13:45They caught him and they arrested him.
- 1:13:47It's it's shameful. I don't know if Tank Davis
- 1:13:50fights again. This guy was one of the best
- 1:13:53fighters of our era, especially at in his weight class, one of
- 1:13:57the top five fighters right now in the world.
- 1:14:00And then you hear this story, if this story is true and obviously
- 1:14:03he's ducking and weaving. I mean, using that analogy is
- 1:14:07something he knows a lot about. If that is true, Tank Davis
- 1:14:10might never put on boxing shoes. He might not have never put on
- 1:14:14boxing gloves again. Now, obviously he's got a lot of
- 1:14:18money, he's got a lot of good lawyers.
- 1:14:20So I'll be very interesting, interested to see if he pays off
- 1:14:24his former girlfriend because I'm I doubt they're dating
- 1:14:28anymore. But the horrible, it's a
- 1:14:30horrible story. And it's obviously typical when
- 1:14:33you think about guys like Tank Davis that has been ducking and
- 1:14:36weaving the police and ducking and weaving the domestic
- 1:14:39violence stipulations. And I got to give Jake Paul a
- 1:14:41little bit of credit. I never usually do this.
- 1:14:43Jake Paul called him a woman beater, a piece of of garbage.
- 1:14:47And that's what Tank Davis is. He's a piece of crap and he
- 1:14:50deserves everything that he gets because if he did beat his
- 1:14:53girlfriend, which it seems like he did, he should be thrown away
- 1:14:57and he should be thrown in jail and the key should be thrown
- 1:15:00away. So it's a horrible story, not
- 1:15:02good for boxing. And that, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:15:05is my deuce of the day. When we come back, ladies and
- 1:15:09gentlemen, he just popped in. We will be talking to
- 1:15:12Jacksonville Jaguar, Jaguars linebacker, our friend Foyer
- 1:15:18Allelukin. But first, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:15:21our sports minute with the one and only fish.
- 1:15:26This is the Jabba and the Mouth Sportsman ads.
- 1:15:30All right guys, Aaron Fishman here with your sportsman.
- 1:15:32It got a couple of stories before we get into the scores
- 1:15:35this evening. Controversy continues in college
- 1:15:38basketball this season as Alabama Senator Charles Bideco's
- 1:15:42temporary restraining order at TRO has been extended by the
- 1:15:45courts, allowing the former G League player to continue his
- 1:15:48collegiate basketball career for now with the Crimson Tide.
- 1:15:52Bideco entered the NBA draft after playing two years at
- 1:15:55Alabama in 20/21/22 and 2223. Who went undrafted and has
- 1:16:00announced around the G League since since he's following the
- 1:16:03lead of Baylor forward James Nanji, who was drafted into the
- 1:16:07NBA but played in the G League. Return to college basketball
- 1:16:11this year with rules about eligibility being completely
- 1:16:13thrown into flux with this new NIL era of the game.
- 1:16:17Extending this TRO didn't help Alabama Saturday against
- 1:16:20Tennessee as they fell 79 and 73, but Eco had 13 points in the
- 1:16:25laws. The judge in the case recused
- 1:16:27himself after admitting to being an Alabama fan and active donor
- 1:16:32for the program, so clearly no funny business here.
- 1:16:36Who knows what's even legal in 2026.
- 1:16:38I guess the NCAA is operating under the Let Them Play
- 1:16:41guideline, but released a statement saying the NCAA does
- 1:16:44not allow any actual bias motivated the courts granting of
- 1:16:48a temporary restraining order. Instead, the NCAA contends that
- 1:16:51the proceeding in this court has created an impermissible
- 1:16:54appearance of impropriety because of the intense media
- 1:16:58scrutiny and public speculation surrounding the courts
- 1:17:01relationship with the University of Alabama.
- 1:17:04And if that's its athletics programs and student athletes,
- 1:17:07the NCAA may have a point. Although it's not that there's
- 1:17:10ever been any speculation about Alabama getting its players in
- 1:17:14under the table ways ever before, right, It's in what is
- 1:17:18only the 4th trade ever between the two franchises, The New York
- 1:17:23Rangers sent veteran defenseman Carson Sussi to the Islanders
- 1:17:27for their 2026 third round pick. Sussi is filling a bottom 4
- 1:17:31pairing roll now for the Islanders, giving them veteran
- 1:17:33depth along the blue line. For the Rangers, who are in
- 1:17:36retooling mode thanks to GM Chris Jury's public letter to
- 1:17:39fans, they add a draft pick for a player not on their new
- 1:17:42timeline. Sussi's 31 six foot 4
- 1:17:45left-handed shot is owed 3.25 playing for the season in an
- 1:17:50expiring deal. The Islanders hope you can
- 1:17:51replace Alexander Romanoff on the left side who's been out
- 1:17:54after having a shoulder surgery in November as they make a
- 1:17:56playoff push heading into the extended Olympic break on
- 1:17:59February 6th. The only other trades between
- 1:18:02the Rangers and Islanders in history were even less notable
- 1:18:04than this one, with the two trades with late round picks
- 1:18:07occurring in the early 70s and one in 2010.
- 1:18:09The retooling has started on Broadway and with Susie moving,
- 1:18:12expect the floodgates to open for more notable Rangers on
- 1:18:15their way out of town ahead of the March 6th trade deadline,
- 1:18:18which was extended for the Olympics this year since no
- 1:18:20trades are permitted during the Olympic roster freeze, which we
- 1:18:23will talk about later on the show.

- 1:20:40ovation. I give him a lot of ovation
- 1:20:42because this guy has been on our show quite a few times.
- 1:20:45We love him. He is a Jacksonville,
- 1:20:48Jacksonville Jaguar linebacker, and he was ranked 10th in
- 1:20:52tackles this season. He's one of the best linebackers
- 1:20:56in the NFL today. Ladies and gentlemen, we are
- 1:21:00talking to Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Foyer.
- 1:21:04Oh, Luiken, what is up my friend?
- 1:21:07How are you? I'm good, how y'all been?
- 1:21:10We're good, man. I mean, I got a chance to watch
- 1:21:12good football this year. You were sensational, man.
- 1:21:16You really were. Every single year, every time I
- 1:21:18watch you play, I'm like this guy looks like he's 20 years old
- 1:21:22and he continues to play at a top level.
- 1:21:25And I've never seen a guy that wants to hit somebody.
- 1:21:28Every time the quarterback hikes that ball.
- 1:21:30It is is pretty amazing. And every year you're a league,
- 1:21:34you're always on top of the league in tackles.
- 1:21:37What does it take to be an elite tackler like you are in the NFL?
- 1:21:41I say a lot of will, I'd say obviously got to get off blocks.
- 1:21:45So technique that way, physicality and kind of just
- 1:21:48strain in order to get the ball. A lot of downs aren't, you know,
- 1:21:51designed for for they have a blocker for you when you're in
- 1:21:54the middle like that. So really just able to diagnose
- 1:21:57the play, use your hands or whatever you get off a block and
- 1:22:00everybody finishing at the ball and then you know the the extra
- 1:22:03strain and physicality and will bring the guy down.
- 1:22:07That's the kind of the finish of the play.
- 1:22:08So you're kind of getting a sweet spot as the game goes on,
- 1:22:11but you just feel like you can do bring anybody down.
- 1:22:14So hopefully hit that sweet spot kind of early in the game.
- 1:22:17And then you feel like you, you know, of course, to be regular.
- 1:22:19I like the sweet spot, but with my woman, you know, that's
- 1:22:23that's my sweet spot. But you know, I know a little
- 1:22:25bit about that. I know a little bit about
- 1:22:27shaking and bacon, but that's a whole nother story.
- 1:22:29Ladies and gentlemen, we're not here to talk about any of that.
- 1:22:32We're here to talk some football with one of the best tacklers in
- 1:22:35the NFL. So Foyer, obviously you have a
- 1:22:38new coach and this guy has been fantastic offensively, sound
- 1:22:43really developed. I believe a guy like Lawrence
- 1:22:47who needed a little bit more time, he's had multiple coaches
- 1:22:51over the last past year. Doug Peterson is a very well
- 1:22:54known offensive coordinator. Didn't really work out with a
- 1:22:57guy like Doug Peterson, but you bring in Cohen and he has been
- 1:23:00sensational. In his first year, he took your
- 1:23:02team all the way to the playoffs.
- 1:23:03What was it like being coached by one of the more unique
- 1:23:06offensive minds in the NFL? You know, it was good.
- 1:23:10It was early in the year, you know where I think we we stuck
- 1:23:13with that run game a little bit more.
- 1:23:16So you see us kind of sustaining drives early in the game.
- 1:23:19And I was just, you know, with a rescore to then I was happy we
- 1:23:23were moving the ball this year. So they will come to the
- 1:23:24sideline. I kind of understood quick like
- 1:23:27eventually these are going to turn into touchdowns if they
- 1:23:29weren't already touchdowns or three points, just the way they
- 1:23:32were able to move the ball on the ground.
- 1:23:34We're able to do that early in the year is going to open up the
- 1:23:36passing game for us. So just the way we're moving the
- 1:23:40ball, I was excited they come back to the sideline like either
- 1:23:43they scored or didn't score. I was excited like we're not on
- 1:23:46the field the whole game. Then obviously just keep giving
- 1:23:50them the ball back. They're going to get a couple
- 1:23:51first. They're going to be in scoring
- 1:23:53position. So that's kind of how it
- 1:23:54started. Then you saw, you know, from
- 1:23:56that the the puzzle pieces or the chess match that he was
- 1:24:00playing out there with all the pieces that he had and they saw
- 1:24:04it all get aligned and we go on that run and it was really just
- 1:24:07to dictate what they wanted to do out there.
- 1:24:09Obviously some games we started out maybe a little slower, but
- 1:24:12as soon as he got to to the fellows and sets that he wanted
- 1:24:16build it through formations and stuff like it was, it was fun to
- 1:24:19watch. And then Trevor obviously was
- 1:24:21been the benefit of all that beneficiary to all that.
- 1:24:25The way he was playing, the confidence that he gained to
- 1:24:27kind of go out there, do his own stuff, make his own checks
- 1:24:30really from times and kind of ball out there was cool to see.
- 1:24:35So one of the big things with you guys was the run defense
- 1:24:37this year, top five in the league and a lot of the teams
- 1:24:39that made the playoffs this year and went far in the.
- 1:24:41Playoffs. Were tough.
- 1:24:43Oh, you were number one. People keep saying the Patriots
- 1:24:46are #1 I guess they were lying to us, but.
- 1:24:48Number one top, top one right. Yeah, so I, I when we first had
- 1:24:53you on three years ago, there was a lot of emphasis on the on
- 1:24:55the, on the passing defense, the spread offenses now.
- 1:24:57And you kind of saw it switch back with the Eagles winning the
- 1:24:59Super Bowl last year. And then you're seeing all.
- 1:25:00These like powerful. Run games this year, like do you
- 1:25:03think it's kind of transforming back to that maybe like maybe
- 1:25:05spread or more exotic running type teams and we run defenses
- 1:25:08like you guys like was that a big point in emphasis going into
- 1:25:11the season that maybe stylistically?
- 1:25:14Even with the Eagles game or even if you play like a team
- 1:25:16like the Chiefs who were kind of you think they're known for
- 1:25:18passing the ball, stopping to run is way to dictate the game.
- 1:25:22That way you can like have split their playbook in half.
- 1:25:25They feel like they can't get it to 2nd and short 2nd and medium
- 1:25:292nd and yeah, 6 and less. Their playbook shrinks a lot.
- 1:25:34So they're stopping the run on early downs allows their pass
- 1:25:37rushers to really wreak havoc. Or you know, if there's I'm
- 1:25:41going to say scare. I mean, it looked like they were
- 1:25:43very scared of our passwords the whole year.
- 1:25:44We got so many hurries, but they ended up going quick game and
- 1:25:47screens a lot of the third downs where you know, a lot of guys
- 1:25:50get sacked. They didn't even want to hold
- 1:25:52the ball. Or if you like stand up 0
- 1:25:53pressure, look, they'll get rid of the ball or maybe bring in
- 1:25:56the match pro to try to Chuck one up.
- 1:25:58You stop the run getting ready to dictate what the offense does
- 1:26:01on on the defense. So that was that was big for it.
- 1:26:05We always had the pieces kind of just the details within it, you
- 1:26:07know, and everybody talks about doing their job, doing their
- 1:26:10111, but really just trusting how you fit in that that gap
- 1:26:15piano skiing, you got to fit, you know, in the puzzle piece,
- 1:26:18you got to fit in the right place.
- 1:26:20But everybody doing that play in, play out, you know, big guys
- 1:26:23have to do first down boots, screens and stuff, try to get us
- 1:26:27off track instead of us playing on the legal goal.
- 1:26:30We are talking to Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Foyer Luiken.
- 1:26:34I, I love that Luiken. You know, I love it, man.
- 1:26:41By the way, I, I, I ordered your jersey.
- 1:26:44I, I, I bought a jersey recently.
- 1:26:47Now, a lot of guys on this show make a lot of jokes.
- 1:26:50I'm one of those jokester guys. I get jerseys just to make fun
- 1:26:54of people. And there's a guy on your team
- 1:26:57that was drafted. He was a Heisman Trophy winner.
- 1:27:00He was knocked out early in the season, 10 games into the
- 1:27:03season. I'm not a big fan of OK, I've,
- 1:27:06I've met him at the Heisman dinner.
- 1:27:08I met him at the Heisman dinner. I he's, he's got a unique
- 1:27:12personality. There's no question that he
- 1:27:14does. And he's very cocky.
- 1:27:16He's very confident. There's a lot about him that I
- 1:27:19might not know as far as the define perspective of who he is
- 1:27:25as a person. You worked with Travis, AKA the
- 1:27:28Gremlin Hunter. That's his nickname on this
- 1:27:31show. There he is right there.
- 1:27:33Just so you know, Mr. Gremlin himself.
- 1:27:36Now, I don't know if Travis knows that I created that.
- 1:27:39There it is. He's looking at it.
- 1:27:40I gave him the nickname and it's been really all over social
- 1:27:43media. If you look up Travis the
- 1:27:45Gremlin Hunter, that's me. I'm the one who gave him the
- 1:27:48nickname. And here's the thing, I think he
- 1:27:52could be a good player in this league.
- 1:27:53I don't think he should be a dual type of player.
- 1:27:56I don't. He's either going to be a corner
- 1:27:58or a wide receiver. Obviously, Cohen is going to
- 1:28:00have to figure out. The organization is going to
- 1:28:02have to figure out. I think he should be a corner.
- 1:28:05A lot of people thought he should be a wide receiver.
- 1:28:07Tell us a little bit about your connection with Travis the
- 1:28:10Gremlin Hunter, and what type of player is he?
- 1:28:13I see him on a lot of television commercials.
- 1:28:16He's all over the place. He likes dancing and prancing
- 1:28:19and doing all that other stuff. What type of person is he?
- 1:28:23Yeah, I was actually for fortunate to see him when he was
- 1:28:26still in high school when I was in Atlanta.
- 1:28:27I think he's from that Georgia area.
- 1:28:29During that over the year, a lot of people were training the same
- 1:28:32gym up in northern Atlanta. So I I seen him as like a highly
- 1:28:36touted recruit and they told him like he's always going to be
- 1:28:41Next up. He's going to be really good.
- 1:28:42So I saw him kind of younger. So when I see him now, obviously
- 1:28:46as the as the player he is and there's the all the hype around
- 1:28:49him and stuff, I still see him as that that kid in high school.
- 1:28:52I mean, he was quiet. He don't really say much.
- 1:28:55I think maybe, you know, you have this gremlin idea of him.
- 1:28:59I feel like everybody has a kind of persona that they like put on
- 1:29:02as a shell when you don't know them or when they're nervous,
- 1:29:05you're like, you come up to me. I never talked to you before.
- 1:29:07You might think I'm like stuck up just because I don't really
- 1:29:10say much. You know, I heard people think I
- 1:29:12was. I think I'm so smart as I just
- 1:29:14don't really know you. So I don't really know what to,
- 1:29:16I don't know how to approach you.
- 1:29:17Like when you break down those walls, I'm way more comfortable
- 1:29:21with a person and stuff like that.
- 1:29:22I'm a jokester and all that stuff.
- 1:29:23But if I don't like, I don't really have much to say to you.
- 1:29:26So maybe you know, you seeing him for the first time, like
- 1:29:30that's just how he is. That's what he's comfortable
- 1:29:33showing out to people that he don't eat from places he's not
- 1:29:35really comfortable because that's what he's had to be, to
- 1:29:37be honest. Like all these cameras around
- 1:29:39him as a kid, as a brother, yeah, high school and high
- 1:29:43school into college through the Heisman candid.
- 1:29:45Like all these cameras around him and they're expecting him to
- 1:29:48be a certain type of way. Like all these commercials, like
- 1:29:51they're expecting him to be this this athlete and everybody puts
- 1:29:54these athletes up on pedestals. Like he's not allowed to be his
- 1:29:57goofy kind of I wouldn't call him a nerd of source, but you
- 1:30:01know, he's on twist and all that.
- 1:30:02Like he's not allowed to be who he is when he's comfortable.
- 1:30:05And I'm sure many people know him, you know, as that as that
- 1:30:08person when he's comfortable. So I'm sure you get to know him
- 1:30:11more. And as I got to know him more
- 1:30:13and see him more, you know, when he first got there, like, yeah,
- 1:30:17he was quiet and maybe people could have said he was, you
- 1:30:19know, full of himself. I'm looking at him like now he
- 1:30:22said, you know, you're not going to call himself nervous, but
- 1:30:24everybody's going to be nervous to perform and live up to
- 1:30:26expectations and hype. So I can't see right through
- 1:30:29that. I'm not going to say he was
- 1:30:30nervous though, but like he wants to do well for the team
- 1:30:33and he wants to prove it to himself and all that stuff.
- 1:30:35So a lot of it kind of just self talk just to make sure that, you
- 1:30:38know, he knows he's the player that he always wanted to be.
- 1:30:42And obviously as a rookie, we have a lot of things that you
- 1:30:45realize you don't know or realize you have to learn and
- 1:30:48grow through. And obviously he was doing that
- 1:30:51and, you know, and, and learning at 2 positions at once, like
- 1:30:54it's a lot on you. And he got hurt too.
- 1:30:57So that's something that he had never really been a part of,
- 1:30:59like a big injury. So you know, you stick around
- 1:31:03them and you get close with most walls come down.
- 1:31:05So I'm kind of seeing that right now when I go into the facility
- 1:31:08and see them, they're training and stuff, like we're talking a
- 1:31:10lot more. So I feel like you're going to
- 1:31:14see him become more of himself as these years go on and as he
- 1:31:17really becomes a player he must become.
- 1:31:19Now, Travis Etienne is a guy that I really liked.
- 1:31:22I've watched him grow as a player for Clemson and a lot of
- 1:31:27people thought he wasn't going to be a part of this roster.
- 1:31:30Early in OTAs, they were two other running backs on your
- 1:31:34roster. Some people thought that Travis
- 1:31:36Etienne was really the number 2 and then kind of fell in a lot
- 1:31:40of people's eyes and then all of a sudden he had a pretty good
- 1:31:44OTA. He looked good in a preseason
- 1:31:46and eventually won the job back. And he again, a guy that I
- 1:31:50didn't draft this year in fantasy.
- 1:31:52And there's a reason why I draft him every single year because I
- 1:31:55love the guy. And then he doesn't, you know,
- 1:31:58he doesn't fit in expectations the way I think he should in
- 1:32:02fantasy sports. So I didn't draft him this year
- 1:32:05and I made a mistake because he was one of the more elusive
- 1:32:08running backs in the NFL. What do you think he changed
- 1:32:11this year as far as health wise and obviously on a football
- 1:32:15field that's made him the elite running back that he became
- 1:32:18again this year? Yes, that's my guy.
- 1:32:20That's one of my best friends on the team, Travis.
- 1:32:22So obviously started when we have to go against each other
- 1:32:26and training camps and stuff. But I just know I just saw the
- 1:32:29talent that he had and I called them my first, got their
- 1:32:33Marshall fault because, you know, I thought similarities and
- 1:32:37he can catch up the backfield. He's good up with the grind.
- 1:32:40But then like he's kind of saying like his body don't
- 1:32:43really look like an NFL running back, but he's so exposed to the
- 1:32:47bass and stuff. But he just didn't necessarily
- 1:32:49like if you look at him kind of looks a little not NFL running
- 1:32:52back, but you know, he got all the traits.
- 1:32:54So I kind of after our bad year, everybody kind of wanted to be
- 1:32:58better after that, whatever 4 and 13 a year.
- 1:33:02And I told them what the business of the game was.
- 1:33:04I said, you know, a lot of people are talking bad about you
- 1:33:06and really us, everybody on the team right now, we're going to
- 1:33:09have new GM, new coaches and stuff that come in and it's
- 1:33:11going to be the contract year essentially.
- 1:33:13So you know, you're going to have to give you a gift, you an
- 1:33:17opportunity to go out there and you're going to start from
- 1:33:19square zero. People are going to come in and
- 1:33:22have their ideas of and maybe they might bring somebody else
- 1:33:26in that they like, you know, that that's going to be their
- 1:33:29guy, their pick, their free agency, whatever.
- 1:33:31But at the end of the day, like once you get an opportunity, you
- 1:33:34got to re prove it to because now you're not dealing with
- 1:33:38people who drafted you. You got to come in and re prove
- 1:33:40it. When you belong on the field,
- 1:33:42then you're going to come in and re prove that you deserve some
- 1:33:45fucking money. So I drafted him to my lift OTA
- 1:33:48lift team. And you know, I just saw him get
- 1:33:51more and more serious about everything, what time he came in
- 1:33:55the morning, what time like you didn't miss OTA lifting this the
- 1:33:59way he's preparing for the game. We were talking about running
- 1:34:01styles, like where to hit the hole when it cut back, like in
- 1:34:04this mid zone scheme. I'm like, I'm seeing this back.
- 1:34:06You should watch this back. Does it well.
- 1:34:09And I was implementing that. You know, I'm able to challenge
- 1:34:11him. Like let's say he gets tackled
- 1:34:12by a fucking shoot, like while the fuckers pick up his feet.
- 1:34:16Like that's my thoughts. Like I wanted him to get
- 1:34:18everything that he deserves. So I'm not going to say I'm he's
- 1:34:20important, but I just know that he had definitely had a mindset
- 1:34:23changed and then him, you know, talking to me, always
- 1:34:27challenging me, telling me he was pissed at me earlier in the
- 1:34:30year. I had a little couple little
- 1:34:32things went wrong with me that was kind of affecting my play.
- 1:34:35But he I'm disappointed you missed that tackle and this and
- 1:34:38that. I'm like, shit, you right, like
- 1:34:39stop feeling sorry for myself. Let's get better.
- 1:34:42And then, you know, we we played well this year.
- 1:34:43And then obviously he's going to get whatever he deserves.
- 1:34:45But Jennifer, where he was or what the perception was of him
- 1:34:50two years ago to now like complete 180, but he did what
- 1:34:54you're supposed to do in the back before.
- 1:34:56So to talk about something like the guys in the front 7,
- 1:34:58obviously Josh Allen got got got his money, one of the most
- 1:35:02underrated pass rushers, Trayvon Walker, I think made an impact
- 1:35:05kind of trying to prove himself at the end of his rookie
- 1:35:07contract after being the number one pick.
- 1:35:09And then Devin Lloyd was probably the best one on the
- 1:35:10team on second team All Pro. So talk about some of the
- 1:35:13improvements that those guys made this year.
- 1:35:15Yeah, everybody kind of, you know, we all had a bad year the
- 1:35:17year before and really people there we want to.
- 1:35:20We started off maybe 4:00 and 1:00.
- 1:35:22We won a skid where we won like 3 or 4.
- 1:35:24We lost 3 or 4 or something like that.
- 1:35:27Yeah, we had to because we won the rest after that.
- 1:35:35Yeah. I mean, we had a lot of doubt or
- 1:35:37is, you know, obviously Devin started off hot.
- 1:35:39So Devin, would, you know, he was really trusting the scheme
- 1:35:43and he was going through things kind of similar to Travis to
- 1:35:46where, you know, new guys came in, new coaches happy to prove
- 1:35:49himself contract year, just stay the course.
- 1:35:52And he, you know, he's very religious and all the blessings
- 1:35:55came to him that he'd been praying for and working for.
- 1:35:58So I was very proud to see that. But he really just, you know,
- 1:36:01didn't go outside of himself, stuck within the game plan and
- 1:36:04he really just executed and dominated his his role.
- 1:36:07And then obviously he was able to make plays off of that and
- 1:36:09just trust himself and his athleticism and he's the best in
- 1:36:12the league. So that was just so cool to see.
- 1:36:15He got guys like Josh and Trayvon.
- 1:36:17We really just, you know, Trayvon kind of a similar
- 1:36:20situation like he's trying to go out there and get what he
- 1:36:22deserves. He went through a little injury
- 1:36:24with his race and stuff was kind of sidelined him, but his
- 1:36:27gameplay did not switch up at all.
- 1:36:29Like the way that he played the game.
- 1:36:31So physically can really help us.
- 1:36:33And they didn't get as many steps and pressures that they
- 1:36:35got. Like what I was saying where you
- 1:36:37have these two guys on the edge where they're scared to get the
- 1:36:393rd and loss because of our of our pass rushing, our
- 1:36:42athleticism. They're just throwing screens
- 1:36:43and quick games screen and boots like trying to get that with
- 1:36:47their trying to get that facet of our defense out of the way
- 1:36:51because you can't like they're sealing the edge on boots.
- 1:36:53Like that's the only way they can really push the ball down
- 1:36:55the field on this kind of get match protection and get the
- 1:36:57pass rushers like double block, double blocked and stuff.
- 1:37:00So he definitely like it's a game record.
- 1:37:04I want the stats to match it for both of them, Josh and Trayvon.
- 1:37:08But what they were doing for our team, you know, you can't really
- 1:37:10put put words to it. And then similarly, like with
- 1:37:14the guy inside Devon Hamilton, you know, he's so important to
- 1:37:17our running game too. Like when he's in there all the
- 1:37:19way that he was playing. So everybody just played well,
- 1:37:22but they're just owning their roles and then playing for each
- 1:37:24other. So it's cool to see.
- 1:37:26We are talking to Jacksonville Jaguars elite linebacker Foyer
- 1:37:29Luiken. You know Foyer, there's a guy on
- 1:37:32your team, Brian Thomas junior. I I think this guy as is as
- 1:37:37elite of a wide receiver in the NFLII really do believe this guy
- 1:37:42could be a top three wide receiver in an all of football
- 1:37:46this year. I don't know what happened.
- 1:37:47I don't know if he was hurt, he was unhealthy, but he wasn't the
- 1:37:51same player he was in his freshman year.
- 1:37:53He wasn't and I think this guy is so explosive.
- 1:37:57He has a tremendous amount of ability.
- 1:37:59He's so long. I watched him in the Pro Bowl.
- 1:38:01I know it's flag football, but the one hand catches the, the
- 1:38:05unbelievable ability technique wise on using his body and his
- 1:38:09strength to getting that ball. It it's it's absolutely amazing
- 1:38:13there. There might be 3 wide receivers
- 1:38:15in the league that has the speed, the length and the
- 1:38:19ability to do this to the things that he does on a football
- 1:38:23field. What type of player is Brian
- 1:38:25Thomas Junior and do you think this year was because of injury
- 1:38:30or something that was going on or was affecting him on not
- 1:38:34having the season that he had in his first year?
- 1:38:36Yeah, I'm not, I'm not really in his head or nothing like that.
- 1:38:39So I can't really say where he was like mentally and stuff, but
- 1:38:42we all go through injuries or things that nagging us
- 1:38:45throughout the year. Now I'm excited to see what he
- 1:38:47comes back and does the next year, but obviously like coming
- 1:38:50from his rookie year to to 2nd year, a lot of things like you
- 1:38:54just learn what you need to work on.
- 1:38:55Like you think people sometimes when you have success early,
- 1:38:58sometimes people see you and they're going to force you to
- 1:39:00maybe prove what you what you, which we haven't shown yet or
- 1:39:03going to keep putting you in positions where you're not
- 1:39:05excelling. Like they're going to like he
- 1:39:07was a very good, let's say deep ball because we're going to
- 1:39:10definitely try to take away that deep ball.
- 1:39:12They're going to fight him and do something else on the
- 1:39:13football field and see if you can excel it.
- 1:39:15That as well. Whatever happened on early on, I
- 1:39:17think as the year went and it's a new scheme.
- 1:39:19So he has to understand how to run those routes and timing is
- 1:39:21always important and stuff. As the year went on, he he
- 1:39:24started playing better. So I wasn't really concerned
- 1:39:26with it. What they call it like a
- 1:39:27sophomore slump, whatever happened early in the year, like
- 1:39:30he just put it, put it as something to to look at and it
- 1:39:33motivates you to grow from or from because you know, now he
- 1:39:36has a role in the offense to where you have to stop so many
- 1:39:40people that when he does get his opportunities, they're going to
- 1:39:42be there for him. He's going to get his one on
- 1:39:44ones or whatever design plays like there.
- 1:39:46And it's going to be sometimes like we need him to go make a
- 1:39:49play. But when those when those
- 1:39:51opportunities come, I know going into this third year, you know,
- 1:39:54fixing up the stuff that he was kind of battling through the 2nd
- 1:39:57year, you know, with a fresh, you know, new slate, fresh feet,
- 1:40:02you know, I got a lot of. Everybody that listens to the
- 1:40:08show knows I just love him. I I love him.
- 1:40:11I think he's that great of a player.
- 1:40:12I think I watched him in LSU. I said this guy is going to be a
- 1:40:15beast. I think he's the best wide
- 1:40:17receiver in this class. When we were talking about a
- 1:40:21Doonese and all those other guys, everybody forgot about
- 1:40:24this guy. He, there were three other guys
- 1:40:25in front of him and they were like, well, he's good and I
- 1:40:29think he's more than good. This guy is going to be
- 1:40:30explosive. His freshman year was as good as
- 1:40:33anybody's. And I said he's better than a
- 1:40:35dunes and he's better than this guy.
- 1:40:37He's better than that guy. And I still think he's an elite
- 1:40:39player and he's going to get a chance.
- 1:40:40But you guys made it to the playoffs and it was an amazing
- 1:40:44season and you were matched up against the Buffalo Bills.
- 1:40:47And I always watch a foyer because I, I, I'm a big fan of
- 1:40:51yours because you've been on our show.
- 1:40:53So I, I'm always rooting you on. I want you to do so well.
- 1:40:57And I watch Josh Allen play and this guy has a heart that I've
- 1:41:03never seen a player have. I mean, this guy will go out
- 1:41:06there, put his body on the line for his teammates, put his heart
- 1:41:10on the line when it comes to losing games and and going up
- 1:41:14there talking to the media and and then breaking down and
- 1:41:16crying. I think he's a, he's a great
- 1:41:18person to just fall in love with as a personality.
- 1:41:21But when he's on a football field, he's almost impossible to
- 1:41:24tackle. He's huge.
- 1:41:26And I, I, I watched you in the playoff game, you were all over
- 1:41:30the place and you were hating him.
- 1:41:32And this guy was just bouncing off of everybody, was like a
- 1:41:35ping pong ball and you were the racket.
- 1:41:38What type of player is Josh Allen?
- 1:41:39Why is he so hard to tackle? Yeah, he's a he's a big kind of
- 1:41:43look at a tight end body. I say you got a tight end body,
- 1:41:46but he still runs fast. And then obviously with the the
- 1:41:49way the quarterbacks protected, you got you can't approach him
- 1:41:52like a damn tight end. So a lot of times he's pumped
- 1:41:55faking and stuff and he's approaching Lions permits,
- 1:41:57pumped faking, looking downfield.
- 1:41:58And you know, you can't, you know, tackle in the normal way,
- 1:42:01which you're told to tackle in the normal way, but it's, you
- 1:42:04know, the balls in your face when he had the ball like this.
- 1:42:06Yeah, it kind of makes a look when you're distracted,
- 1:42:08interacted by the ball. And then obviously he can run
- 1:42:10through arm tackles, which most quarterbacks don't, I'd say
- 1:42:13because they're half sliding. He's not sliding at all.
- 1:42:15He's going to run through all that.
- 1:42:16And then yeah, he understands when you're an M when he can see
- 1:42:19the MP, he can kind of make a a drop back look like a draw just
- 1:42:23because he decides all he's kind of towards the red zone is my
- 1:42:26time shines going to run through arm tackles, get those 6-7 yards
- 1:42:29that way, which kind of break it open.
- 1:42:31Like I feel like in our game, just a couple of boots or
- 1:42:34keepers he kept, but it was most of them them quarterback sneaks
- 1:42:36towards the end of the game, which he runs it differently
- 1:42:39that they call it touch push, not really touch push.
- 1:42:41They did run that sneak with the tight end kind of pushing them
- 1:42:43from behind, but they ran it differently than Philly were
- 1:42:46like feeling trying to get low and he just stands up And then
- 1:42:49because you can't bring them down, you know, one-on-one
- 1:42:52trying to step stand. Then everybody gets behind him.
- 1:42:55He slipped in the air and they just keep pushing them forward.
- 1:42:57So but they had going there with definitely a new that was an
- 1:43:01interesting little wrinkle to the twist push that's really
- 1:43:03sneak, but he just knows his body gonna stay up and he go
- 1:43:07push him for like it's it was crazy who cops to him.
- 1:43:11I got a question for you, who do you think would win in a Twister
- 1:43:13contest, you or him? What's Twister?
- 1:43:18You never played Twister. Yeah.
- 1:43:19You spin and there's like colors and you like you put your body
- 1:43:22on. A lot.
- 1:43:23Why am I playing Twister with him?
- 1:43:26What are we doing? He's married.
- 1:43:34He has he has a kid on the way. That's.
- 1:43:44Pretty funny actually. Why am I playing Twister with
- 1:43:46him? I'll just shift to.
- 1:43:50Another quarterback. That you used to play with in
- 1:43:52Matt Ryan, who actually got a front office position with the
- 1:43:54Atlanta Falcons recently, they actually invented a new football
- 1:43:57operations position just especially for him.
- 1:43:59I wonder why? So was there any inklings when
- 1:44:02you when you knew him, when he was when he was with Atlanta
- 1:44:04that you would think he would get a head coach, get a
- 1:44:07executive position like this? And, like, what do you think is
- 1:44:09the mindset for the Atlanta Falcons moving forward with the
- 1:44:12new head coach and Kevin Stefanski and kind of a shift in
- 1:44:14change that they're making? I think the fans, I think the
- 1:44:18run game that he had, I don't really know much about him.
- 1:44:21I know he went to Penn or something like that.
- 1:44:23Like I met him at the Ivy League dinner.
- 1:44:25I think we were saying that the like the run game that he likes
- 1:44:30are Atlanta's line and Dijon are very well suited for that.
- 1:44:34Yeah, I think Atlanta, I mean, just being there, they always,
- 1:44:37they want to get more physical up there.
- 1:44:39That's the way to establish the run game and nominate the NFC
- 1:44:42South. You could be the most physical
- 1:44:43team in the NFC South controlled time of possession.
- 1:44:46You probably go and win, host those games.
- 1:44:48That that vision just dating back from when I was there.
- 1:44:51I think the Saints at the time was winning it.
- 1:44:53And then obviously when Brady came, obviously he was winning
- 1:44:55it. But those are teams that did
- 1:44:57have a run game while while they were on top.
- 1:45:00So I think Matt Ryan, that picture him, I don't think he's
- 1:45:04going to be a coach per SE, but I could definitely see him being
- 1:45:07a personnel handlers like this team builder in Atlanta just
- 1:45:12because you know, great leader and then a great evaluator of
- 1:45:18men as a person and stuff. So obviously you got to look at
- 1:45:22the talent, but in order to build a team, you got to have
- 1:45:24the right people in the building.
- 1:45:25So I think them hiring him is to do that, to evaluate the coaches
- 1:45:31that are coming evaluate. I think he just hired the GM,
- 1:45:33actually. He just seen so many people in
- 1:45:35the NFL. You know what teams look like
- 1:45:37when they're good and runs the teams when they're good.
- 1:45:41Sure. Their trust is opinion on who.
- 1:45:43They have to feel that. For you, you're one of the best
- 1:45:45tacklers in the league, and we said that over and over and over
- 1:45:48again. So far in this interview.
- 1:45:50You are as good as anybody in the NFL.
- 1:45:52And we talked about technique. So everybody wants to know, and
- 1:45:56I'm sure a lot of football fans out there want to know, you
- 1:46:00faced all the top quarterbacks in the NFL.
- 1:46:03Who is the hardest to takedown 1 and who is the best quarterback
- 1:46:07so far in your career in the NFL you played against?
- 1:46:10Who's the hardest to take down? Yes, Lamar Jackson, probably
- 1:46:14going to be the hardest to take down if you can touch him.
- 1:46:16I like the quarterbacks you try like that's Herbie tried to run
- 1:46:19me over this year. I don't know what he was doing
- 1:46:20like that's a big Jack before. I'm just going to talk about
- 1:46:23Josh Allen. If he can run away from put
- 1:46:25similar like if he tries to lower his shoulder on him, I'm
- 1:46:28not really too concerned about that.
- 1:46:30But Lamar just elusive, especially when he decides that
- 1:46:33he's, you know, going to run so fast and then he's elusive like
- 1:46:36that. That's good.
- 1:46:38Then my home, man. I don't know how big he is.
- 1:46:40Whatever. He probably 30 lbs more than
- 1:46:42what the sky report said. That's a big boy right there.
- 1:46:46He's a hell of a competitor too. Like he'll lower his shoulder on
- 1:46:48you last second. He'll run through some stuff.
- 1:46:51He'll stay up and kind of getting up there like
- 1:46:53Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger's still athletic.
- 1:46:56Like he's staying up through hits and making throws and
- 1:46:58stuff. Like he's a big guy, bigger than
- 1:47:01people think. So yeah, he's pretty hard to
- 1:47:05take down, actually. Trevor Lawrence was pretty hard
- 1:47:08to take down for Chris Jones when you guys won that thriller
- 1:47:10on Monday nights. Oh yeah, thank God.
- 1:47:13Well, who? But who's the best quarterback
- 1:47:15in the NFL? Who do you think is the?
- 1:47:17Mahomes are the best. You think Mahomes?
- 1:47:20A hell of a competitor to like the way he put like he plays to
- 1:47:23win the game. Obviously they didn't have their
- 1:47:25best year this year, but what he's able to do back there and
- 1:47:29willing his team to to wins and stuff.
- 1:47:32I don't think he turned. I don't I didn't watch him that
- 1:47:34much. I don't think he turned the ball
- 1:47:35up over at like he's have crazy turnovers though, just doing
- 1:47:39crazy stuff a little bit too much.
- 1:47:40Maybe he did a little less this year knowing that his team
- 1:47:44probably needed the ball a lot more this year.
- 1:47:47I don't know the stats on it, but just seemed like he was
- 1:47:49taking care of the ball a little bit more.
- 1:47:51Well, really well, Stafford still good.
- 1:47:53This, this he's that's a good ass.
- 1:47:55MVP. MVP.
- 1:47:57He's the best quarterback. They lost three times to the
- 1:48:00Seahawks, but he's the best quarterback.
- 1:48:02So he so Foyer has Matthew Stafford winning the MVP this
- 1:48:06year. Very interesting.
- 1:48:08Very, very. Interesting.
- 1:48:09I'd say that I said he's the best quarterback.
- 1:48:13Usually the best quarterback wins the MVP.
- 1:48:15Come on, Foyer. Foyer's.
- 1:48:17Petition. They're trying to give it the
- 1:48:19Drake man of the wiki didn't. First of all, I don't know if
- 1:48:25you know this. The boy went 10 for 21.
- 1:48:28Yeah, but. But here is the facts foyer.
- 1:48:32I'm going to tell you this. Do you know that Drake May had
- 1:48:35the 5th easiest schedule in NFL history?
- 1:48:38Did you know that? I'm saying I'm not saying who
- 1:48:42deserves and doesn't deserve MVPI, just man Stafford went
- 1:48:45crazy. Yeah, I did.
- 1:48:47I love Matthew Stafford. I always did.
- 1:48:49And he's the MVP in my eyes. Go ahead, Speedy.
- 1:48:52No, I was saying for you, I think it's petitioning for the
- 1:48:54MVP to not become a quarterback award all the time.
- 1:48:57You know what? Yeah, take quarterbacks less,
- 1:49:01please. Hey, listen, if you could throw,
- 1:49:05maybe you could be the quarterback, you could be a
- 1:49:07dull. Fan Wait, no, no, it's hard.
- 1:49:09That's that's too hard. But all right, so you got San
- 1:49:14Francisco Super Bowl 60, Drake May and the Patriots versus the
- 1:49:20one and only Sam Darnold. Yes, Jet fans, Sam Darnold in
- 1:49:25the Seahawks. Who do you got and why?
- 1:49:28I got a lot of friends on the OH, actually on both teams.
- 1:49:32I just never rooted for a Boston team to do anything since Rondo
- 1:49:35left. Even though I got a lot of good
- 1:49:37friends with the Patriots. I hope they all do very well,
- 1:49:39but I can't. I'm not rooting for any team
- 1:49:41just because I can't really root for the Patriots.
- 1:49:44Don't like the Boston fans, but all the groups brought them like
- 1:49:47they win. I'm so happy for them.
- 1:49:48I love. Him more every you see this.
- 1:49:51This is why I love this guy. I love it.
- 1:49:53He can't stand the Boston fans. I can't stand the Boston fans.
- 1:49:57Yeah, Jeff, you hear it? I can't stand the Boston fans.
- 1:50:01No, he's a Rebirth chess fan now.
- 1:50:03They're nasty. They don't know how to respect
- 1:50:05people. And I like that you're a Rondo
- 1:50:07fan because I've always loved Rondo.
- 1:50:10I couldn't stand him on the Celtics, but I've always liked
- 1:50:13Rajon Rondo so. And.
- 1:50:16And he was a great first of all, he can rebound, he could score,
- 1:50:20he can assist. He was a great defender.
- 1:50:23I, I think people, Rajon doesn't get enough credit because he
- 1:50:27played with, I don't know, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen,
- 1:50:31nobody, nobody gives this. Girl's favorite coach Doc
- 1:50:33Rivers. Can't stand Doc, can't stand
- 1:50:35him. Yeah, they won a championship
- 1:50:37with Doc Rivers. Well, first, hold on, hold on,
- 1:50:40hold on, hold on. Who's calling the place?
- 1:50:43Tom Thibodeau. Let let's let's not hide behind
- 1:50:46the truth here. We all know Doc doesn't know how
- 1:50:49to call any place. I'm not hurting.
- 1:50:52I'm not hurting anybody. Somebody's feelings.
- 1:50:54Doc Rivers is screwing up Milwaukee right now, and that's
- 1:50:57why Giannis wants out. I'm just helping you here, man.
- 1:51:00I know you're a basketball fan. We could go on and on and on
- 1:51:03about basketball, but we're not. We're talking a little football.
- 1:51:06So. So who you got?
- 1:51:07You got Seattle. If I was, if I was to bet
- 1:51:11somebody else's money, got bet Seattle.
- 1:51:13But I'm kind of pulling for the Patriots to do well.
- 1:51:17I know you, I know you have two, definitely two former teammates
- 1:51:19with the Patriots, with Muma and Chase on any on Seattle.
- 1:51:24No, I have former teammates on Seattle.
- 1:51:27I don't really know. Everybody's at.
- 1:51:29I trained with the guy. They're one of their backup
- 1:51:31safeties. Maybe he's playing more Ty
- 1:51:33Okada. OK, so I play.
- 1:51:35I've trained with him for the past five years, I feel like.
- 1:51:37And then Jalen Hawkins I played with in Atlanta, Easter safety
- 1:51:41for Patriots. They got the Ernest Johnson up
- 1:51:47there too. He was a backer running back for
- 1:51:49us here. More person up there.
- 1:51:56They got a lot of, they got some, they got some guys that
- 1:51:58play with. So I'm rooting for.
- 1:52:00I'm hoping they do well, but. For Yeah, I got a question I got
- 1:52:03to ask you. I got to ask you a question.
- 1:52:04Has anybody told you that you look like havoc for Mob Deep?
- 1:52:09Nah, ain't nobody. I never heard of that.
- 1:52:14Do me a favor, when you get a chance, when you get off with
- 1:52:16me, go look at Havoc from Mobb Deep.
- 1:52:19You look. Exactly.
- 1:52:20Like him, you're identical. Exactly.
- 1:52:23Yeah, because I've, I've done some work.
- 1:52:25I, I'm a, I'm a DJ. So I've been around them.
- 1:52:28I've been around Mobb Deep a couple of times.
- 1:52:30Prodigy may rest in peace. I I've, I've known the Mobb Deep
- 1:52:35for a long time. There he is.
- 1:52:37There he is, right there. Come on man, that's him.
- 1:52:41Low key, huh? Nick was like Roquan Smith,
- 1:52:43right? All that.
- 1:52:48I like Roquan. He actually, he lost a little
- 1:52:50bit more weight, but I mean. Maybe a little bit, He pressed
- 1:52:54he he young face. For sure.
- 1:52:57Come on, you never heard of Shukwans?
- 1:52:58Come on, man. You know the track.
- 1:53:01But man, what are you? What are you going to be doing
- 1:53:03in the offseason? You're going to hang out with
- 1:53:05the fam, go, you know, go, you know, go to a nice Hawaiian, you
- 1:53:09know, place where, where you going?
- 1:53:11I go everywhere, I bounce around.
- 1:53:13I've I've been to New York, went down to Orlando last weekend,
- 1:53:17saw some Disney stuff. I see my I'm still going to see
- 1:53:21my family soon for a little while, my mom and dad and
- 1:53:24brother running some errands in Saint Louis and yeah, kind of
- 1:53:29bounce around between here and are there in Florida for the
- 1:53:33offseason. I hate Florida.
- 1:53:35Did you know it's going to it's going to be snowing in Florida,
- 1:53:38in Orlando? Did you know that it's going to
- 1:53:39be snowing in Florida? Yeah.
- 1:53:42That's crazy. Yeah, I'm missing it.
- 1:53:45Already snowed in Saint Louis? I like Saint Louis by the way, I
- 1:53:48love, I love all that like the steaks and the ribs that they
- 1:53:52have over there there. It is so good over there and I
- 1:53:55love BBQ. So Dallas is a good place to
- 1:53:58have BBQ. Saint Louis is another good
- 1:54:00place. Georgia is also a nice good
- 1:54:02place to get some BBQ. So I like it.
- 1:54:05I really do. And as a you know, I traveled
- 1:54:07around the the country, so I absolutely enjoy it.
- 1:54:10But anyways, man, we love you man.
- 1:54:12And I, I'm rooting for you. I always root for you and I, I
- 1:54:15think you're a great guy. I think everything that you do
- 1:54:17for not only for the NFL, for some of the kids and, and, and
- 1:54:21really the, the way you developed into the player that
- 1:54:24you become is it's pretty amazing.
- 1:54:26And I'd love to get you on before the season starts so we
- 1:54:28can talk about the season and see where you see the Jaguars in
- 1:54:32going into two thousand 2627. So congratulations on a great,
- 1:54:37successful season. And we'll have Jabba on next
- 1:54:40time because Jabba's flying to New York because he's working
- 1:54:43with a bar stool. He's been busy.
- 1:54:46He's he's a very busy man, but he'll be on next time.
- 1:54:49But we love you. Keep up the good work and we'll
- 1:54:51talk to you soon. Appreciate y'all have a good
- 1:54:53rest of your night. Yeah, you too, my friend Foye.
- 1:54:56A fantastic personality, one of the best.
- 1:54:59One of my favorite guys on the show.
- 1:55:01Always comes on the show and always gives us good takes.
- 1:55:05Very clear with his words. Doesn't really beat around the
- 1:55:09Bush. He'll tell you how it is.
- 1:55:11He doesn't hold back anything. And and like I said,
- 1:55:14personality, that's why this guy is one of the best tacklers in
- 1:55:19his league. This is why everybody, I you ask
- 1:55:22anybody in the NFL, it will give you your top ten sack guys,
- 1:55:27tackle guys. Foyer is always amongst the
- 1:55:30league's favorites. So, and I love him and I've
- 1:55:33been, you know, we've been interviewing him when he went
- 1:55:36when he came from Atlanta and he went to the Jacksonville
- 1:55:39Jaguars. And I remember it was the first
- 1:55:41year he was with the Jacksonville Jaguars when we
- 1:55:43interviewed him and I said, and he was the best tackler in the
- 1:55:46league. And I said, what is it like
- 1:55:47being the best tackler in the league?
- 1:55:49He says, am I? I didn't even know that it.
- 1:55:53Was three. It was three months after that
- 1:55:54amazing playoff comeback they had against the Chargers.
- 1:55:57Oh man, he, I, you can tell he doesn't care.
- 1:55:59He doesn't care about numbers or statistics.
- 1:56:01He just cares about winning. And I think with, with a leader
- 1:56:05like that, he's one of the assistant captains of the team.
- 1:56:08They're going to have a chance to win.
- 1:56:09He's still fairly young. I think he's 2728 years old.
- 1:56:12I, I think he could play another two or three good years at the
- 1:56:15top level that he is. And he's just a fun outgoing
- 1:56:19person. And, and you want to know
- 1:56:20something everybody had one of my friends is texting me.
- 1:56:23He's like, what did you take? So I, I took like this like
- 1:56:26anxiety pill, like stress pill today.
- 1:56:29And she says, Oh, it doesn't make you drowsy, doesn't make
- 1:56:32you like dizzy or something. I'm going to tell you this right
- 1:56:34now. I don't know what I took, but
- 1:56:36throughout the show I've been trying to keep my eyes, you
- 1:56:39know, like on target and be able to ask.
- 1:56:43I was telling, I was telling scoops during the break when we
- 1:56:45went to the sportsman. I said, man, I, you know, I
- 1:56:49didn't think I was going to feel this tired, this drowsy, this,
- 1:56:52you know, this terrible. I said, I'm going to get through
- 1:56:54this. I'm going to fight through this.
- 1:56:56But after the show, I'm going to be like, you know, one of those
- 1:56:59guys. Anyways, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:57:02we call this Speedy Stat of the Week.
- 1:57:06The Speedy, speedy, well, you may run like me, but you hit
- 1:57:11like out of the way. Breaking news, I'm putting you
- 1:57:15on a leash now. Well, the Patriots pass rush and
- 1:57:18interior rush did a very good job of putting the Broncos
- 1:57:21offensive line on a leash last week because that's where this
- 1:57:24that comes from. It comes from a 35.1% pressure
- 1:57:27rate they had against a Broncos offensive line.
- 1:57:29That the 4th best idol fish you've mentioned.
- 1:57:31The statue and offensive line impact rate in the league this
- 1:57:34year held in the 63 rushing yards and got a 35% press rate
- 1:57:38against that. Six of them came from Christian
- 1:57:39Barmer, 4 from Milton Williams and Christian Barmer is one of
- 1:57:42six players and only three defensive lineman with 50
- 1:57:45pressures, 10 quick pressures and 10 plus pressures against
- 1:57:48double teams this season. So that's how well he played
- 1:57:51against an offensive line to all process here with bowls and
- 1:57:53Quinn Miners. Very interesting, Speedy.
- 1:57:58Always a breath of fresh air when you give us your Speedies
- 1:58:03stat of the week. You know, you throw me off,
- 1:58:05Speedy. Like, how do you how do you
- 1:58:08choose what your favorite stat of the week is?
- 1:58:10Like what? Are you?
- 1:58:11Well, we're theming with the Patriots for our next segment.
- 1:58:14So I figured I'm not going to, I'm not going to praise the
- 1:58:16offense because they didn't do much.
- 1:58:17So praise the defense. Oh, there you go.
- 1:58:19Method to the madness, Errol. There's always a method here.
- 1:58:22It's, it's definitely madness. I don't know about method.
- 1:58:25That's true. There's a lot of madness when it
- 1:58:27comes to speedy people. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:58:30we call this This is the Remix. Another one.
- 1:58:36Remix. This is the remix.
- 1:58:41All right, guys, welcome back to This is the Remix.
- 1:58:46You hear the original song right now.
- 1:58:49We're going to give an original take that Errol gave a little
- 1:58:52while back. Bring the music down just a tad
- 1:58:57over here. So here it is, Speedy.
- 1:59:00I'm going to bring this down. You're going to pop up the
- 1:59:03original take that Errol had. When it's done, we're going to
- 1:59:06hit the drop one more time and then we're going to put the
- 1:59:09remix beat on. And Errol, you can either agree
- 1:59:12with what you said, take back what you said, or go somewhere
- 1:59:16half in between. Here's your shot.
- 1:59:19On This is the Remix love about Drake May thinking that he's
- 1:59:27going to be a top three quarterback in the league.
- 1:59:30Mikey C will be dancing around in this studio.
- 1:59:34If he's right, he said three years, Drake May will be a top
- 1:59:37three quarterback in this league.
- 1:59:39He's on drugs. I think Drake could be really
- 1:59:42good, but top three quarterback, now he's sniffing something.
- 1:59:45And whatever powder he's sniffing from Mexico or
- 1:59:48Amsterdam. Share some with me, Mikey,
- 1:59:51because you have no idea what you're walking into.
- 1:59:55And I want to ask Mikey see when we do our fantasy draft if he's
- 1:59:58actually going to dig into his pants and draft Drake May when
- 2:00:02it comes to his quarterback play.
- 2:00:04I guarantee you he won't, because nobody's stupid enough
- 2:00:08to believe it. Except.
- 2:00:09Mike And if Mikey sees right, he's going to be like, I'm not
- 2:00:12give his head right. As I always say, eat shit.
- 2:00:16Mike, I'm not. Doing it remix.
- 2:00:21This is the remix. Errol.
- 2:00:29Oh man. Well, just so everybody knows,
- 2:00:35Mikey did draft Drake May in one of his leagues.
- 2:00:38So I was wrong about that. I did not think Drake May this
- 2:00:44year. Well, obviously the schedule
- 2:00:45bowled well for them in the Patriots, but you play who's
- 2:00:48ever, you know, whoever you matched up against, Drake May
- 2:00:51was a top three quarterback in the league.
- 2:00:53So I was wrong about that. I was shocked that Drake May had
- 2:00:56the season that he had. And if you look at his numbers,
- 2:00:59they were very impressive. 4394 yards.
- 2:01:02He had 31 touchdowns to only 8 interceptions.
- 2:01:05So he looked good in the regular season.
- 2:01:07But I said during the season that I want to see him against
- 2:01:11top and talent and when they get into the playoffs, can he
- 2:01:15compete against the top ten top and talent in the AFC or in the
- 2:01:19NFC? If they go, I didn't think they
- 2:01:21were going to the Super Bowl. And I'll say this, I was wrong
- 2:01:25about Drake maybe in the top five quarterback at any point in
- 2:01:29his career, especially the way he has been this year.
- 2:01:32I do not believe he's a top five quarterback amongst the league's
- 2:01:36best only this year. We'll have to see if he does it
- 2:01:39back-to-back years. But here's the thing, what I've
- 2:01:42seen in the playoffs tells me he's not an elite quarterback.
- 2:01:47He's not a top five quarterback. Is he a top ten quarterback?
- 2:01:50Absolutely deserves a lot of credit and his development.
- 2:01:53It's only his second year. He's only going to get better
- 2:01:55under Mike Raybould. This is his first year under
- 2:01:57Mike Raybould. It was very impressive, but to
- 2:02:00say that he's a top five quarterback, besides the great
- 2:02:03year he had, I have to see it multiple years before I'm going
- 2:02:07to go in and correct myself. I'll take back what I said.
- 2:02:10I'll eat my words that in his second year, he wasn't he, he
- 2:02:14wasn't going to be a top three quarterback.
- 2:02:16I was wrong about that. But I have said it over and over
- 2:02:19and over again. You got to prove yourself in the
- 2:02:21playoffs. I don't care if they're in the
- 2:02:22Super Bowl. They're not in the Super Bowl
- 2:02:24because of the offense. They're in the Super Bowl
- 2:02:26because of their defense. So take that, ladies and
- 2:02:29gentlemen. But I'll admit, I said I was
- 2:02:30wrong about Drake May a little bit.
- 2:02:34Wow, this is the remix, Speedy. I think somebody might be
- 2:02:41calling in. Yeah, I think we might have a
- 2:02:43rebuttal on the line. Who's this?
- 2:02:45Who do we have on the phone? Well, well, well, about time you
- 2:02:50start. Eating some krill?
- 2:02:51I figured you called. Now, when you realized that the
- 2:02:59master always teaches the students, oh hold on, what's
- 2:03:03starting to realize what's 1? Master teaches the student.
- 2:03:07First of all, you are my student and I taught.
- 2:03:10You even remotely. Get out of here.
- 2:03:13What drugs are you on? What?
- 2:03:14Cool. Video I taught you nothing.
- 2:03:16You taught me nothing. You've lost the will to
- 2:03:19understand what you're talking about out of that pea brain of a
- 2:03:22snatch of yours. Out of left field, it's not
- 2:03:26even. Really.
- 2:03:26I'm so out of left field because you were right about one bottom
- 2:03:30one. Come back to Earth.
- 2:03:31Out of one. Listen, about time that you're
- 2:03:35admitting, even though I admit all the time.
- 2:03:37Stop it. I'm more shocked that it
- 2:03:40happened so quickly because I gave that within that five
- 2:03:43years. Dude, he had the.
- 2:03:45He's already there dude. He had two dude.
- 2:03:47He had the 5th easiest schedule in the NFL.
- 2:03:50OK, listen, you know what everybody says He had the 5th
- 2:03:54easiest schedule in NFL history in history had no weapons.
- 2:03:59Really. He had no fuck.
- 2:04:00Oh no, don't tell me Dick default takes is not a good
- 2:04:04weapon on his last play. They have good running games.
- 2:04:07They their their offensive line was a good offensive line.
- 2:04:10Your defense was elite. What are you talking about?
- 2:04:12Have you? Lost your mind defense I'm
- 2:04:14talking about. Offense.
- 2:04:15That's a weapon. The quad defense is a weapon
- 2:04:18about. The defensive play.
- 2:04:19What? Is it talking about the
- 2:04:20quarterback play? All right, we're talking about
- 2:04:22how Drake may he put himself up. There he played against bad
- 2:04:27secondaries. He played against bad
- 2:04:29secondaries. What are you talking about?
- 2:04:32The secondaries he's played against?
- 2:04:34Were. Bad.
- 2:04:35That's right. That's right.
- 2:04:37You want me to go through the games that he just won?
- 2:04:39Do you want me to tell you where they're ranked?
- 2:04:41That's right. That's right.
- 2:04:43What? Is it What?
- 2:04:44What what what else? What other excuses you want to?
- 2:04:46There's no excuse, Mike. You can never eat your crow.
- 2:04:49You can never eat your words. I will.
- 2:04:51You never. You never.
- 2:04:53You never. You never have.
- 2:04:56You never have to admit. Really.
- 2:04:58I admitted it. What are you talking about?
- 2:05:00You're not 90%, right? You're not even close to 90%,
- 2:05:04right? You're like 40%, right?
- 2:05:07Yeah. Get out of here.
- 2:05:08I have gotten you so many times and you are making up.
- 2:05:11Excuse me? You have lost your mind.
- 2:05:13Lost it? Oh, get it?
- 2:05:14You know many times. You know how many times I've
- 2:05:18beaten you in an argument? Get out of here.
- 2:05:20I'll give you a collection. My foot in your ass.
- 2:05:23Eat my foot in your smart ass. Suck for the dog.
- 2:05:26I'll suck Wilkie. OK, You're thinking this act,
- 2:05:30Wilson. What do you think about going to
- 2:05:32be the worst team in the next 10 years because of all their
- 2:05:36capital? Yeah.
- 2:05:37OK. And you're and you're you're an
- 2:05:39automatic Patriots fan. And you're an automatic Patriots
- 2:05:42fan. And you're an automatic Patriots
- 2:05:45fan. You've lost your damn mind.
- 2:05:47You are a fake, fake fan that hides behind the weeds and
- 2:05:51everything. That's right.
- 2:05:53That's right. Yeah, a giant family a long time
- 2:05:59ago. I told you I respect what they
- 2:06:01did. They sat down, what you would
- 2:06:04call it, and put Brady in and he took them over.
- 2:06:06And it's respectful that that team, he never took top money
- 2:06:11ever as a quarterback because he always wanted the team to put it
- 2:06:13right back in it. Oh yeah.
- 2:06:15I thought that was respectful and the only guy that could win
- 2:06:17rings. Now you got another guy in the
- 2:06:20division that's going to win rings too.
- 2:06:21Really, who isn't that crazy? Who AFCE?
- 2:06:24Who? Who's going to win?
- 2:06:26That's not going to win. Who's going to win?
- 2:06:28Who's going to win? Mike Frable?
- 2:06:31You think the Patriots get out of here?
- 2:06:33The Patriots? OK, well, I'll make a bet on
- 2:06:36that. I'll make a bet on that.
- 2:06:38You got all the money on it. How?
- 2:06:39You have the Patriots winning the Super Bowl?
- 2:06:41Put your money where your mouth is.
- 2:06:44Put your money. Put your money where your mouth
- 2:06:47is. Put your money where your mouth
- 2:06:49is. Be quiet, zipper.
- 2:06:51Put your money, Put your. 2. Grand 2 grand.
- 2:06:55I'll say you were wrong about Daniel Murphy.
- 2:06:59I you were wrong about Daniel Murphy.
- 2:07:02I could go on and on and on. You were born.
- 2:07:05You said Daniel Murphy was gonna suck when he left the Mets.
- 2:07:08You said that, did you not? He had 1°.
- 2:07:11You also said Zach Wheeler wasn't anything either.
- 2:07:14Wait, what? You said Zach.
- 2:07:16Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:07:16You said Zach Wheeler wasn't anything either when I said
- 2:07:19that. Zach I.
- 2:07:19Never was the best. Yes, she did.
- 2:07:21No, No. Yes she did.
- 2:07:22No. No, No, she did.
- 2:07:23You got your stories wrong. Really.
- 2:07:24Go back to the goddamn peep. Go back and leave a million
- 2:07:27hours. Yeah.
- 2:07:28Go back to the peep. Yeah.
- 2:07:30I never said anything about Zach Wheeler.
- 2:07:32You said we talked about Zach. You said Zach Wheeler was
- 2:07:34overrated. Who had the best stuff as a met
- 2:07:37and I said the grom and this is both a the grom.
- 2:07:40You said this. Is when, when what's we call was
- 2:07:43the best pitcher in New York. Oh my God.
- 2:07:45It wasn't even the Grom and he said I think Wheeler is and
- 2:07:48Wheeler ended up becoming very good, but the Grom has a little
- 2:07:52bit better stuff. You're out of your damn mind.
- 2:07:54You're out of my damn mind. He doesn't.
- 2:07:56And if you ask anybody, Zach Wheeler has been more
- 2:07:58accomplished in over the last five years in Jacob the Grom.
- 2:08:02Really. OK, How many saw Young?
- 2:08:03Did Wheeler win it? Doesn't matter, you want to know
- 2:08:06something and I'm going to say this very nice.
- 2:08:08Don't. Mean anything first of all.
- 2:08:11Zions don't mean anything. So that's a wide word.
- 2:08:13That's a that's a league wide accomplishment, but doesn't mean
- 2:08:17anything. OK, all right.
- 2:08:18So all right, you've. Lost, Mike, you've lost it, Mr.
- 2:08:2290% right, You're lost. Wheeler has been going good for
- 2:08:25those 2 1/2 years. So automatically annoys Wheeler
- 2:08:28because you know Wheeler's better because degrom's been
- 2:08:31injured. Make make it make sense.
- 2:08:33What do you mean make it make sense?
- 2:08:36Zack Wheeler, Zack. Wheeler is better, Zack Wheeler
- 2:08:39is better. Health has something to do with
- 2:08:43being great. OK, so I don't.
- 2:08:45Want. To hear, I think health has
- 2:08:48everything to do with being great.
- 2:08:50Yes, Yeah, Being healthy and playing games makes you as great
- 2:08:54of a player as a guy that sits on the sits on the bench and
- 2:08:57rides the bench. And because he's had one or two
- 2:08:59good years, oh, he's the greatest.
- 2:09:01Thing to try spread that really did very well so I got a
- 2:09:04question go ahead. The CROM was very healthy this
- 2:09:06year. Real it wasn't.
- 2:09:08The CROM was in the Cy Young AL voting I believe had a very good
- 2:09:12record for all of a sudden. Really.
- 2:09:14Really I don't. I didn't see him in the Cy
- 2:09:15Young. He was in the top five.
- 2:09:17He wasn't in the top three, so that doesn't mean anything,
- 2:09:20doesn't mean anything, doesn't mean anything.
- 2:09:23Nope. Doesn't mean, doesn't matter.
- 2:09:24Doesn't mean so young. Is it Wheeler?
- 2:09:27Nope. That's all it matters.
- 2:09:28You know what, Mike? You're going to sit here and
- 2:09:30tell everybody you're 90% right, but you're oh, wait, I'll tell
- 2:09:32you you're 90% wrong, 10% right. I'll give you credit.
- 2:09:37I'll give you 10%. You're lost.
- 2:09:39You're lost. You're.
- 2:09:41Dude, I'm not delusion, OK? There's no delusion here.
- 2:09:44From the Drake May podium, Let's go.
- 2:09:45You realize you're wrong? Nothing.
- 2:09:47New dude he beat nobody dude. What did he do in the playoffs?
- 2:09:50Who did is he beat in the playoffs?
- 2:09:52If if it wasn't for luck, they wouldn't be in the Super Bowl.
- 2:09:55So don't sit here and tell me. Oh, Drake May this Drake May
- 2:09:58that. He sucked.
- 2:09:59He sucked. Yeah, it was.
- 2:10:02He was lucky. Dude.
- 2:10:03He fumble the ball four times against the taxes.
- 2:10:05If the Texas didn't screw up as much, they would have been
- 2:10:08knocked out. Yeah, it's the truth.
- 2:10:10Drake may look like crap against ball.
- 2:10:12Well, the fake, the Bonex lists Broncos.
- 2:10:16OK, They're honest to God. You're going to tell me and
- 2:10:19you're going to you're going to try to sell me.
- 2:10:20This it's a horrible game and stop game because of the
- 2:10:24weather. Oh, stop weather and both MVP,
- 2:10:27right MVP, right, MVP. Mikey, it was great.
- 2:10:31To talk to MVP, MVP. Hey Mike.
- 2:10:35Hey Mike. Matthew Stafford.
- 2:10:36Matthew Stafford played in the snow.
- 2:10:38How did Heathrow threw? Pretty well threw pretty well.
- 2:10:42He threw pretty well. Stop it, Mike.
- 2:10:44Get out of here. Mike, you're going.
- 2:10:46To make the ball. Are you telling me are you
- 2:10:48trying to sit there and compare? Stop.
- 2:10:50It has 10 times the better. 10 So that's what it is.
- 2:10:55The AFC is the easiest. Conference sports doing with no
- 2:11:00weapons is amazing. They're doing.
- 2:11:01It nobody. Hey, he's beat nobody.
- 2:11:05He's beat nobody. He's beat nobody.
- 2:11:08The Broncos suck, all right. The Texans suck.
- 2:11:12Yeah, they suck. How did they have home field of
- 2:11:14games dude? Dude, they should have lost
- 2:11:16against The Jets. The team that you see sucks too
- 2:11:18much. They suck, but.
- 2:11:20Listen, I'm not saying the Broncos are great.
- 2:11:23I never said that. I'm just saying why did the
- 2:11:25number one seed? Dude, who did they beat?
- 2:11:26Were they? Who did they beat?
- 2:11:28The Broncos in number one seed. Who did they beat?
- 2:11:30I want to. Ask you the Broncos in number
- 2:11:32one seed. They suck.
- 2:11:33The AFC sucks. They suck.
- 2:11:35It sucks. I'm sorry, who's the number one
- 2:11:38seed in the AFC? What do you mean?
- 2:11:40I know the Broncos. On home field throughout.
- 2:11:42Who cares? What does that mean?
- 2:11:44What does that mean? What does that mean, dude?
- 2:11:46What does that mean? So bad that they end up getting
- 2:11:48you know what, man? Put your thumb in your mouth and
- 2:11:51suck it. All right.
- 2:11:53Hey, I'll get you a pacifier. I love you.
- 2:11:55Holy shit. I love you, Mike.
- 2:11:58Goodbye, Mike. Love you, Mike.
- 2:12:00We'll get you on the show. We'll get you on the show.
- 2:12:02You can come into the studio any day and I'll argue my.
- 2:12:06Points. Smell my ass.
- 2:12:10That's all I could say. Your question here bro because
- 2:12:13you think you're saying the Bronco sucks?
- 2:12:14I'm curious did Seattle sucks? Should stay at home field.
- 2:12:17What are you talking about? Seattle is great all around.
- 2:12:20Hello answer the question don't. Go Seattle.
- 2:12:24Seattle is the best division in football, best division of
- 2:12:28football. By the way, the AFC East, by the
- 2:12:31way, by the way, by the way, by the way, the AFC East is one of
- 2:12:35the worst divisions in football, One of the worst, one of the
- 2:12:39worst, one of the worst, one of the worst, one of the worst, one
- 2:12:43of the worst. You want to go back and forth?
- 2:12:45AFC East is one of the worst divisions in football.
- 2:12:48So stop, stop trying. Try stop trying to sell me.
- 2:12:51First of all, I any division with the catch is always the
- 2:12:54worst division. All right, goodbye.
- 2:12:55All right. Goodbye.
- 2:12:56Goodbye. I'm done.
- 2:12:58Thank you, Mike. I'm done.
- 2:13:00Seriously, I'm going to sit here and listen to this garbage.
- 2:13:03I love the guy. You know, he always thinks he's
- 2:13:06right. He has been right on some things
- 2:13:08and he says I owe him 2000. I don't know what he's talking
- 2:13:11about $2000. I've never bet him $2000.
- 2:13:15So I don't know where he's coming up with that number.
- 2:13:17All right, so I admit there are times that he's been right, but
- 2:13:21I've been right on a lot of things too.
- 2:13:22Mike will never give me credit on anything I'm right with, but
- 2:13:25he'll say he's 90% right. He's not.
- 2:13:28I'll tell you where he's been right and I'm going to give it
- 2:13:30to you guys. Josh Allen.
- 2:13:32When Josh Allen got drafted out of that draft class, he said
- 2:13:36Josh Allen would be the best quarterback in the class.
- 2:13:37He was wrong about that. Lamar is, but he is definitely
- 2:13:41out of it. And I said Sam was going to be.
- 2:13:43Now Sam still has a chance. We'll see if Sam starts to
- 2:13:46develop and, and wins multiple, if if Sam wins A, wins a
- 2:13:50championship, you can argue and, and, and Sam could win multiple
- 2:13:54championships over there in Seattle.
- 2:13:56I would then you're going to say Sam Donald is the better
- 2:13:59quarterback. And I said Sam Donald was going
- 2:14:01to be the best quarterback in that class, not because he was a
- 2:14:04Jet, just because I thought he was an elite quarterback.
- 2:14:08And we'll see how he developed. He's still 28 years old, still
- 2:14:11has a lot of time. So we'll see.
- 2:14:12The only one that's been to a Super Bowl is actually a second
- 2:14:15Super Bowl. He was the backup for the 40.
- 2:14:17Niners So he was right about Josh Allen and he was right
- 2:14:19about Drake May, but he's been all right.
- 2:14:21He's been wrong about a lot of things.
- 2:14:23Speedy, am I wrong? We have gotten him on a lot of
- 2:14:27things that he has said where he has been really, really wrong.
- 2:14:32So Mike, I love you. I will never attack you as a
- 2:14:37person. You and my partner always been.
- 2:14:40And I've always, I've always, you know, obviously because
- 2:14:42you're a little bit older than me, I've looked up to you.
- 2:14:45But you know, Mike, I've worked, I've worked with Mike for years.
- 2:14:48I've helped him grow in this industry and he's helped me grow
- 2:14:51because he's really changed my complexion of the way I present
- 2:14:56myself on any radio show. I am different because of Mikey
- 2:14:59C I give him a little bit of credit because he's changed me.
- 2:15:03He's opened up my mind of who I am as a personality and let me
- 2:15:07be myself. And that's what I love about
- 2:15:09Mike. Say whatever you want about
- 2:15:10Mikey C and I have attacked him many, many times on and off the
- 2:15:14show. Mikey C is a dedicated
- 2:15:18personality and he also has a lot of faith in me.
- 2:15:21He's always come to me and says he's always told me that I'm one
- 2:15:23of the best in the industry. And I love you, Mike.
- 2:15:26I've always respected you. But there are things that come
- 2:15:29out of Mikey C's mouth that makes me sick to my stomach.
- 2:15:32That's all I'm going to say. nhl.com's Dan Rosen reports that
- 2:15:36the New York Rangers will be resting star yes Panarin until
- 2:15:40after the Olympic roster freeze next Wednesday, February 4th.
- 2:15:44The Rangers are calling it a roster management purpose
- 2:15:47interesting with general manager Chris Drury and the team
- 2:15:51exploring trade options for the bread man as that what they call
- 2:15:56him. I don't know why they call him
- 2:15:58after earlier this month announcing announced publicly
- 2:16:03that the team would not discuss a new contract with him until
- 2:16:07after the season when he would be a free agent.
- 2:16:10Panarin is in the last year of his seven-year $81,000,000 deal
- 2:16:16which he signed with the Rangers in 2019.
- 2:16:18NHL Networks David Pagnotta reports that the Kings and the
- 2:16:24Capitals have reached out to the Rangers about a potential
- 2:16:27Panarin trade and could give him a three-year extension right
- 2:16:31away. Reports say that the Sharks have
- 2:16:34also reached out to the Rangers about Panarin, but are less
- 2:16:39likely to extend him right away. Panarin only has 1,000,000 base
- 2:16:45salary and a 7 million signing bonus left on his contract, but
- 2:16:49the Rangers may still have to pay him some of the remaining
- 2:16:53salary even if they draw. They do trade him.
- 2:16:58Panarin has nineteen goals, which is second on the Rangers
- 2:17:01this season, only behind Mika Zabinejad, and also has 38
- 2:17:08assists and 57 points, which lead the Rangers and players
- 2:17:12this season. Well, well, well, Mr. Panarin.
- 2:17:19Well, here's what I'm going to say.
- 2:17:21Wherever Panarin goes, he will succeed.
- 2:17:25I think he's a prolific offensive option no matter where
- 2:17:28he goes. If he goes and plays with
- 2:17:29Ovechkin, that'll be fun to watch.
- 2:17:31He'll play on Ovechkin's line. That would be really cool to
- 2:17:34watch, especially with the Capitals possibly making the
- 2:17:37playoffs. He wants to play on a playoff
- 2:17:40run. He's never won.
- 2:17:42Well, he did win a Stanley Cup of Chicago, I think one year.
- 2:17:44Yeah, his, but he was like a third line player.
- 2:17:46And he's still a great player, let me tell you.
- 2:17:48I remember when he came into the league he was, I think if I'm
- 2:17:51not mistaken, he was a third round pick.
- 2:17:53I think at the Cup year was the last of the three Blackhawks
- 2:17:56Cups with his rookie. Year, yeah, and, and the Kings
- 2:17:58are interesting too, because out there on the West Coast, the
- 2:18:01Kings are young, talented, very aggressive team.
- 2:18:05I could see the King's Landing. A guy like Panarin.
- 2:18:08This is a guy that has a tremendous ability.
- 2:18:11I don't care if he's 34. I don't care if he's 40.
- 2:18:13The guy could still put the puck in the net.
- 2:18:15He still has a way and has a knack to putting the puck in the
- 2:18:18net. Those guys don't grow on trees.
- 2:18:21They really don't. If he played for the Islanders
- 2:18:23right now, he'd be second leading scorer on the Islanders.
- 2:18:26So I, I, I'm not going to say that Panarin wouldn't be a nice
- 2:18:30option if the Islanders were interested in moving to get him.
- 2:18:33And I don't think the Rangers would ever do that because he's
- 2:18:35one of their best players. But here's the facts.
- 2:18:39Panarin's had problems over the last couple of years, problems
- 2:18:44with women issues. There were stuff coming out,
- 2:18:46domestic violence situations. I think you remember that Speedy
- 2:18:51that the Rangers were trying to brush under the rug.
- 2:18:54They were stuff going on with him traveling to Russia in the
- 2:18:58offseason when the Rangers didn't want him to do that
- 2:19:00because of all the war and all the stuff that's going on over
- 2:19:03there across the sea. There's a lot and, and Panarin
- 2:19:07has his own personality. He does his own things.
- 2:19:11And I, I maybe being that he is one of the elite offensive
- 2:19:15options the Rangers have had in a very, very long time.
- 2:19:18I'm honestly, when you think about as far as great players,
- 2:19:22the last player that I can compare Panarin to was probably,
- 2:19:26I would say probably messier. Rick Nash was a good player when
- 2:19:29he came from Columbus. He really was, but he never
- 2:19:32really turned into the player he became when he was with
- 2:19:36Columbus. I I mean, I think he had 140
- 2:19:38goal season with the Ranger. He and he never showed up in the
- 2:19:41playoffs. Panarin, he's up and down in the
- 2:19:44playoffs and really in the last couple of years he's
- 2:19:46disappeared. The no movement clause was is
- 2:19:50very interesting when it comes to Panarin.
- 2:19:52That means Panarin will have his choice on certain teams that he
- 2:19:55wants to be traded to. Same thing with Mika's, a bit of
- 2:19:58Jazz, same thing with a lot of these guys.
- 2:20:00And that's why I think Chris Jury is a complete fool because
- 2:20:04he's got six players, 6 important players that are
- 2:20:07making a lot of money. When it comes to the the Rangers
- 2:20:09cap, they have no movement clauses and with that.
- 2:20:14That means they're in the driver's seat.
- 2:20:16The players are in the driver's seat.
- 2:20:17And, and again, I talk about the NBA being a player driven
- 2:20:20league, but there is no movement clauses in the NBA really.
- 2:20:24There are no, there's there's no trade clauses, but not no
- 2:20:29movement clauses. The NHL is completely different.
- 2:20:32The NHL has no movement clauses and no trade clauses.
- 2:20:35So they have two of them. And the fact here is Panarin is
- 2:20:40in the driver's seat. He can go wherever he wants.
- 2:20:43He really could, and I think he's going to make the decision
- 2:20:46on where he wants to go. He was going to go to a team
- 2:20:49that has a chance to win a Stanley Cup, a team that he
- 2:20:51feels comfortable playing at and in his ability to still put the
- 2:20:54bucket in that can still be a thirty goal scorer, maybe a
- 2:20:57forty goal scorer. I think that this guy is is
- 2:21:02still as dominant as any second tier offensive options the NHL
- 2:21:07has to offer. I think he could skill if he
- 2:21:11goes to the right team. He could score 40 goals in a
- 2:21:14season. I think he still has the ability
- 2:21:16to do that speedy. Yeah, 57 points for a team that
- 2:21:18doesn't skate very well, A-Team, that's gotten old with a lot of
- 2:21:21these veteran guys kind of underperforming all at once.
- 2:21:23The Banjad has played a little better, but still not great
- 2:21:25overall. JT Miller, his first full season
- 2:21:27back with the Rangers, has been up and down with injury.
- 2:21:29So I think him still playing like that, it's the
- 2:21:32circumstances shows that he could still be a top six
- 2:21:34contributor on a lot of those other teams.
- 2:21:35The Sharks are interesting 'cause they have a lot of speed
- 2:21:37on that team of Panera and can still skate.
- 2:21:40Maybe not to the same extent when he first came to the
- 2:21:41Rangers, but still enough where with that fast of a core around
- 2:21:45him is definitely suited for him.
- 2:21:47The Kings have always been looking for an offensive kind of
- 2:21:51top six filler guy. For years they've been very top.
- 2:21:53And a leader. Yeah, they've been top heavy
- 2:21:55with with Kempe having a great career over there with the Kings
- 2:21:58and they've rotated several other guys around in other small
- 2:22:01scale trades that have worked, but they haven't really had that
- 2:22:03guy that is that's a keeper for them.
- 2:22:05They've always been aggressive at the traded deadline but never
- 2:22:08have been the team that's gotten it.
- 2:22:09It reminded me of Minnesota for a while until Minnesota got
- 2:22:11Quinn Hughes this year. They were always in the market
- 2:22:13and never could get the pull the trigger on those trades or they
- 2:22:16traded too much in so they panicked on other.
- 2:22:18Deeds I watch out for the Kings, and I'll tell you why.
- 2:22:22This wouldn't be the only move that the Kings are going to
- 2:22:24make. They have a great farm system.
- 2:22:26They have a lot of good young players.
- 2:22:28Panera would be a great fit over there.
- 2:22:30Obviously he'll be a second line player, but he can always move
- 2:22:34to the first line, especially if he's put in the puck in the net.
- 2:22:37He still has tremendous speed. He's got one of the best hands
- 2:22:40in in the NHL still to this day. I you don't you can't teach that
- 2:22:45you can't teach goal scoring to anybody.
- 2:22:47This guy has the ability he has a knack.
- 2:22:49That's why they call. I guess that's why they call him
- 2:22:51the bread man because he knows how to put it in the in the
- 2:22:54pocket. You know, so I, I, to me, it
- 2:22:59makes a lot of sense with the Kings more than I would say with
- 2:23:01the Capitals, because the Kings need that offensive leader on
- 2:23:05the offensive side of the the pot, on the offensive side of
- 2:23:08the ice. I'm just interested to see if
- 2:23:12some surprise team sneaks out of somewhere to grab him up and
- 2:23:15scoop him up and put him in a position to succeed.
- 2:23:17Yeah, I was actually going to mention the Capitals.
- 2:23:20I don't like the fit as much because they're more of the
- 2:23:22physical power forward type team.
- 2:23:24I don't really think he would fit as much over there.
- 2:23:25And I know there was another article I was reading about the
- 2:23:27Florida Panthers because the same thing I mentioned.
- 2:23:29He's not going to. Panthers, yeah, the same thing I
- 2:23:31mentioned with Vegas a few weeks ago, like they're another team,
- 2:23:33Florida that loves to manipulate the cap, but there Florida is
- 2:23:35another one that's a power forward type team.
- 2:23:37I don't think he would really. Fit.
- 2:23:38I'm going to tell you a team that you better watch out for
- 2:23:40the Dallas Stars. They're another one I saw too,
- 2:23:42yeah. They're the team because the
- 2:23:45Dallas Stars, they're built to win.
- 2:23:47They always fall short. They have three straight
- 2:23:49conference finals. Yeah, they they can't get to the
- 2:23:51Stanley Cup Finals. And you add Panarin to that team
- 2:23:55and you only have to give up maybe 1 prospect and you put
- 2:23:57them with the talent that they have over there.
- 2:23:59Watch out. I mean, they'll be, everybody
- 2:24:02keeps talking about how Colorado's just going to drive
- 2:24:03themselves all the way to Stanley Cup finals.
- 2:24:05No, they're not. I don't think so.
- 2:24:06I, I think Dallas is dangerous. I think some of these younger
- 2:24:09teams that have a tremendous amount of speed and you know,
- 2:24:12the playoffs is completely different when, when it comes to
- 2:24:14speed and, and, and goaltending. All you need is a hot goaltender
- 2:24:17and you can win it all. So I, I and Colorado's weakness
- 2:24:20goaltending. Yeah, it's interesting how
- 2:24:22aggressive a lot of those other teams will be, like the Sharks
- 2:24:24that are young longer. Like a team like Anaheim, you go
- 2:24:26back with Quemville, who you coached, who you coached with
- 2:24:29and with Chris Kreider with with True.
- 2:24:31But with all those other guys you played with, with the
- 2:24:33Rangers, like that feels like a natural fit with a team that
- 2:24:36just traded Trevor Zeigris as well to Philly.
- 2:24:39And Troy Terry, who was good at the beginning of his career as
- 2:24:41an offensive player, hasn't really been the young player
- 2:24:43either. So if they want to stay
- 2:24:44aggressive, they're I think third in their division right
- 2:24:46now. They're kind of like wavering
- 2:24:48with Seattle and some of the other teams with the wild card
- 2:24:50standings. But that could be the aggressive
- 2:24:51move with the cap space that they do have because even though
- 2:24:54they pay, they're taking on. True Crider's contract, they
- 2:24:56still have a lot of good contracts besides that.
- 2:24:59So Joel Quenville, it's funny you mention him.
- 2:25:02Speedy is the guy who invented the nickname for our Tammy
- 2:25:05Panarin. It's just because his name
- 2:25:07sounds like. Then he should clean it up.
- 2:25:09If Quenville's giving him the name, you should be cleaning
- 2:25:12that name. Probably a bad sign.
- 2:25:13It sounded to him to him like Panera Bread, so he just started
- 2:25:16calling him Bread man instead of trying to pronounce Panarin I
- 2:25:20guess. You sure you want?
- 2:25:21He doesn't want his loaf. Sorry, sorry.
- 2:25:28I'm not going to touch that one with a tenth foot pole, but
- 2:25:31whoever gets Pinera and and I want to ask a question after I I
- 2:25:35say this, he's instant offense. This guy can just start offense
- 2:25:41out of nowhere. You could just have grinders on
- 2:25:43your line. He will get them points.
- 2:25:46He's gotten 89 points or more every season since 2021.
- 2:25:52He's fantastic except if you have him on a team like he's
- 2:25:58currently on where they're just not engaged.
- 2:26:01He is never going to play defense or back check.
- 2:26:03He just. Has never played defensively
- 2:26:05anyway though. Well, but you have to keep him
- 2:26:08engaged so he's passable defensively so that he's going
- 2:26:11to play at least in the team concept defensively.
- 2:26:16And what you've seen is he's just if he gets into the zone
- 2:26:20and his slick play doesn't work, then it's just an odd man rush
- 2:26:24the other way every single time. That's what happened the last
- 2:26:27year and a half with the Aaron. But he still get an 80.
- 2:26:29He got 89 points last year, he's got 58.
- 2:26:32He's on pace for another 80 point season again.
- 2:26:34But what are the Rangers going to get for him?
- 2:26:36That's my question. He's on an expiring deal.
- 2:26:38Not a lot. I mean, you would think that you
- 2:26:42should be able to get there's going to be people that want
- 2:26:45them. You're not going to.
- 2:26:46Get a second line forward. You're not going to get a first
- 2:26:48round talent. I I think you might get a player
- 2:26:52on somebody's, you know, in their farm system.
- 2:26:55That was a second round pick who a lot of people put them on a
- 2:26:58depth charts as a top five player.
- 2:27:01They might get something like that.
- 2:27:02The Rangers, if they're if they have the right guy making the
- 2:27:06choice they get, they get lucky. Hey, listen, listen, they got
- 2:27:09lucky with Fox. They made that move.
- 2:27:13They brought Fox in, Carolina drafted him and Carolina had an
- 2:27:17abundance of defensive talent. So they they gave up Fox and the
- 2:27:22Rangers got lucky with him. Rangers gave up nothing for Fox.
- 2:27:26So I, I mean, and look at what Fox turned out to be.
- 2:27:29I mean, he's an elite defenseman when he plays at the top level.
- 2:27:32So I, I just, I don't know if Panera being at his 34, if any
- 2:27:36team is going to budget giving him a top talent.
- 2:27:40But I, I and even a first round draft pick, I, I could see a
- 2:27:43second round pick probably, yeah.
- 2:27:45Probably, especially in the West, I would think there's
- 2:27:47going to be some level of a bidding war because I mentioned
- 2:27:50California teams plus Vegas plus Dallas.
- 2:27:52Like there's enough contending teams that'll do it.
- 2:27:54Who says Minnesota doesn't try either?
- 2:27:55Like they're probably in a team like that's in the running the
- 2:27:58Capitals and Florida's the only teams I've heard in the East.
- 2:28:01But again, would Panaron want to go to one of those systems that
- 2:28:04are more of a bruising type system with with?
- 2:28:07I will tell you this, and if you're, if you're a fan, I mean,
- 2:28:10Sorokin is on a team care right now.
- 2:28:12I, I don't know if anybody understands what he is doing
- 2:28:14right now. He's given up one goal in four
- 2:28:17games, one goal. I think it's one goal or three
- 2:28:20games, one goal in three games and only I think it's two goals
- 2:28:25in four games. It's, it's like ridiculous.
- 2:28:27He's the leading. He's leading in expected goals,
- 2:28:29too. 6 shutouts on the season leads the league.
- 2:28:33I mean, he's been lights out. The team's lights out.
- 2:28:35Well, they just beat the Rangers two games in a row.
- 2:28:38It took I want to I want to tell all you Islander fans something.
- 2:28:41A lot of Island fans thought he lost something and after he came
- 2:28:45back from his back surgery last year, he came back from that
- 2:28:47back surgery takes a full year to absorb that kind of injury.
- 2:28:52Remember he was out for a all of pre season games and now you see
- 2:28:57what this guy was before he hurt his back.
- 2:29:01This guy is as good as any any goaltender in the NHL right now
- 2:29:06and he could win goaltender of the year.
- 2:29:08He could, he should right now. I mean, if the Islanders get
- 2:29:11into the playoffs as a top three seed, he's one of the reasons
- 2:29:14why the Islanders are at the top level right now.
- 2:29:17He has been unbelievable and he has got arguably the greatest
- 2:29:20goaltender teaching him and Patrick Wah.
- 2:29:22I mean, nobody could argue that Patrick Wah is probably the
- 2:29:25greatest goaltender. It's either him and Martin
- 2:29:27Brodor. You can argue that and then I
- 2:29:29would say Eddie Jockerman, that would be the other guy.
- 2:29:31But it's pretty amazing what Sorokin is doing right now.
- 2:29:35Schaefer score tonight and it's the Rangers get swept by the
- 2:29:39Islanders right now and the Islanders are the third seed.
- 2:29:42They're actually tied for second.
- 2:29:44Pittsburgh is playing great hockey right now.
- 2:29:46Not without. More surprising?
- 2:29:48Guess who scored the other goal for the Islanders tonight?
- 2:29:50Speedy can only be one person. Carson, Susie.
- 2:29:54Who, of course. By the way, by the way, the beef
- 2:29:57reached out to me and said, oh, you got this Susie guy, He
- 2:30:01sticks. He sticks.
- 2:30:02I said you watch, he'll go to the Ike when?
- 2:30:04They traded for him last year. He'll go to the Islanders and
- 2:30:08he'll be an elite defenseman. You watch.
- 2:30:10Yeah, he was supposed to. He was a really good prospect
- 2:30:12when he was in Minnesota. There's no room for him.
- 2:30:14I'm going to give a lot of credit to Patrick Wah.
- 2:30:15I mean, I did not think this was going to work here.
- 2:30:18And I thought bringing in a new GMA younger GM that he was going
- 2:30:22to part ways with him. It wasn't his pick.
- 2:30:24It was Lamorello's guy. But they're both French Canadian
- 2:30:27and they have kind of like a good relationship on, on and off
- 2:30:31the ice. He decided to keep Patrick Wah
- 2:30:33and Bob Boy, oh boy, Patrick Wah has been he's up for coach of
- 2:30:37the year. There's no question that he's
- 2:30:38been one of the better coaches in the NHL this year.
- 2:30:41The development of some of these young players, I mean, they've
- 2:30:44been unbelievable. So I and Matthew Shaffer, it is
- 2:30:49just, I mean, I'll take back. I mean, I didn't think Schaefer
- 2:30:53was going to be bad. I just, I would have went for me
- 2:30:56son. Yeah, it just wasn't.
- 2:30:57You never see a defenseman this good, right?
- 2:30:58Away. Yeah, they don't that this
- 2:31:00doesn't happen. I mean, the Islanders got lucky
- 2:31:02and they they struck gold and you can see the difference of
- 2:31:05the way the team is playing around him and and the team
- 2:31:07believing in him. So and Patrick Rock keeps giving
- 2:31:10him more and more minutes. I mean, he's playing 2628
- 2:31:12minutes a game. I mean he's a rookie.
- 2:31:15Rookies don't usually average 1817 minutes a game at a top
- 2:31:19level. It is.
- 2:31:20It's dude. He's averaging more minutes than
- 2:31:22Sidney Crosby was in his rookie season and he was in, he was a
- 2:31:26center. So it is an amazing story with
- 2:31:30any Islanders, watch out for them.
- 2:31:32Good goaltending. The defense is playing at an
- 2:31:34elite level right now. They're scoring goals by the
- 2:31:36clip. Watch out for the Islanders.
- 2:31:39That's all I'm going to say. All right, when we come back, we
- 2:31:42got call your shot NBA roundtable and what's that
- 2:31:45smell? But our sports minute with the
- 2:31:46fish this. Is the Jabba and the Mouth
- 2:31:51sportsman ads? All right, guys, Aaron Fishman
- 2:31:54here with your sportsman. A couple more stories before we
- 2:31:57get through the scores this evening.
- 2:31:59Following it up on our Dial it Up story from last week.
- 2:32:02Duke University and now former quarterback Darian Mensa settled
- 2:32:06a dispute over his late entrance into the transfer portal this
- 2:32:09offseason, which Duke sued to stop from happening after he
- 2:32:13originally recommitted to the defending ACC champions.
- 2:32:17Mensa actually transferred to Duke before the previous season
- 2:32:21from Tulane, so he only was there for one year.
- 2:32:24Mensa is expected now to join the Miami Hurricanes, taking
- 2:32:27over the reins from Carson Beck after their runner up finishing
- 2:32:30the national championship this year.
- 2:32:32Duke claims they never wanted a protracted battle with Mensa
- 2:32:36over this. It was just a rectification of
- 2:32:39NIL contracts that Mensa agreed to with Duke before he
- 2:32:43transferred there from Tulane from the in the 2024 season.
- 2:32:47Mensa, who led the ACC with 3974 passing yards and 34 passing
- 2:32:53touchdowns, will stay in conference with a team whose
- 2:32:57profile hasn't been higher since the days of EU in the 80s and
- 2:33:00late 90s slash early 2000s. Duke, on the other hand, gets
- 2:33:05the offseason to enjoy their ACC title that they got with their
- 2:33:08transfer edition of Mensa as they attempt to reload for 2026.
- 2:33:12With Adam, the retirement I know we're all worried about.
- 2:33:16It is now officially over for heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
- 2:33:21Guess what? He's stepping back into the ring
- 2:33:24April 11th to face Arzlanovic Mahmoudov in the United Kingdom.
- 2:33:29The 37 year old Fury gets back into the heavyweight picture
- 2:33:33after the conclusion of his fifth career retirement.
- 2:33:37Been away for a while but I'm back now. 37 years old and still
- 2:33:41punching. Wrote this on social media 3
- 2:33:44weeks ago hinting at a return to the ring but it is now
- 2:33:46confirmed. Fury retired after suffering at
- 2:33:49his second straight defeat to Alexander Yusick, trying to
- 2:33:53regain the WBA Super WBCWBOIBO in the ring heavyweight titles.
- 2:33:59Fury's only career losses were to Yusick after 35 straight
- 2:34:03unbeaten matches going 34 O and one prompting his retirement in
- 2:34:08January of 2025 after his second loss to Usyk.
- 2:34:12Mahmudov, on his other hand, is 36 no slouch coming off of
- 2:34:15victory which gained him the WBA intercontinental heavyweight
- 2:34:18title back in October and as a 21 and two career record.
- 2:34:22The fight will be aired live on Netflix across the globe.

- 2:36:30www.worldwidesportsradio.com. Ladies and gentlemen, this is
- 2:36:35what's keeping me up right now. This, this pill is killing me,
- 2:36:38man. I'm drowsing.
- 2:36:39I'm drowsy, but I've got Hershey's milk chocolate melt in
- 2:36:44your mouth, not in your hands, so I've got that.
- 2:36:48I've been eating my big chocolate bar, keeping me wide
- 2:36:51awake and ready to recharge. That that's a bunch of garbage.
- 2:36:57That stuff will melt in your hands, I guarantee you.
- 2:37:00It's melt in my mouth, man. It's melt in my mouth.
- 2:37:02But I will say this, I I'll never take that thing again.
- 2:37:07Brittany was like, oh, it doesn't.
- 2:37:08It doesn't doesn't make you drowsy, dude.
- 2:37:10I've been drowsy since the beginning of the show.
- 2:37:12I I'm very surprised my eyes are open right now.
- 2:37:15But I'm here, ladies and gentlemen, I'm, I'm a soldier.
- 2:37:19I'm a soldier. Anyways, we call this call your
- 2:37:23shot. I'm not an X's and O's guy,
- 2:37:25right? I'm not a tactician.
- 2:37:27I'm a motivator in the classic sense of the word.
- 2:37:29You know Lombardi, Charles Lindbergh, that nun over in
- 2:37:32India, like those people? Call your shot.
- 2:37:40All right guys here, we call your shots.
- 2:37:44This is one of our newer ish segments.
- 2:37:47If you haven't, you don't remember how we do it.
- 2:37:50We're going to make some a little outlandish predictions
- 2:37:53that Vegas might frown upon the odds of, but we're pretty sure
- 2:37:58are going to happen. It's time for us to call our
- 2:38:00shots. What's the order, Errol?
- 2:38:02All right, let's go. The speedster, the fishter and
- 2:38:07then me. Here we go.
- 2:38:08All right, so Jabba did one the last time we did this segment on
- 2:38:11Nebraska basketball winning a tournament.
- 2:38:13So I'm going to go to a different tournament game.
- 2:38:14I'm going to go a different Big 10 team that I'm going to go
- 2:38:16quite the opposite that I think is going to be a fraudulent one.
- 2:38:20There are five really good ones right now with Michigan I think
- 2:38:23is great, Nebraska and Illinois along with Nebraska's or
- 2:38:26Jabba's, Nebraska's Huskers. And the one that I think is a
- 2:38:29bit fraudulent is Michigan State.
- 2:38:31And the reason I say that they're not a great 3 point
- 2:38:33shooting team. Their offensive efficiency
- 2:38:35rating is barely top 50 in the country for a 7th ranked team.
- 2:38:39They are the number seven team in the Ken Palm rankings, which
- 2:38:41is a big analytic that a lot of college basketball the people
- 2:38:44use and usually a top ten team in that usually wins the title.
- 2:38:47But the pattern also for Michigan State a year after they
- 2:38:51make the Final Four and I've gotten, I've gotten bit by this
- 2:38:53many times or do very well like they got to the Elite 8 last
- 2:38:56year, they usually drop off the next year.
- 2:38:58So I'm going to say Michigan State basketball will be out in
- 2:39:01the first weekend either to a seven seed or a ten seed.
- 2:39:04If they're a two seed or if they're a one seed to an 8 or 9
- 2:39:06seed, they will lose in the first weekend.
- 2:39:10Well, that's going against some Izzo traditions there, but I.
- 2:39:14I've fallen for his teams a lot. I I picked them in some of the
- 2:39:17wrong years and usually they don't do well back-to-back
- 2:39:20years. That's.
- 2:39:21A good point. I got a real outlandish one.
- 2:39:24I was reading this article. Errol, I'm going to say that
- 2:39:28disgruntled might be the nicest way to put it.
- 2:39:32Disgruntled Bills wide receiver Keyon Coleman, who got healthy,
- 2:39:37scratched I think four or five times late in the season just
- 2:39:43from attitude issues. We don't really know exactly
- 2:39:46what it was, but he now has a new head coach and it's his
- 2:39:51offensive coordinator. Here's a quote from Joe Brady.
- 2:39:55Keon Coleman is going to be a Buffalo Bill.
- 2:39:58I told Keon when I got hired, the best thing that happened to
- 2:40:01Keon Coleman was me being his head coach.
- 2:40:05I was one of the ones that stood on the table for Keon Coleman
- 2:40:09and I believe in Keon Coleman. I believe Joe Brady's going to
- 2:40:13force the ball to Keon Coleman a lot next season.
- 2:40:17I'm going to predict. 7 plus touchdowns for Keon Coleman in
- 2:40:23the 2026 season and over 800 receiving yards.
- 2:40:28We know where fish is going to go in the later rounds of
- 2:40:30fantasy. You better believe it.
- 2:40:33I mean he burned me bad this year.
- 2:40:35I took him everywhere this year so may as well do it again.
- 2:40:39All right, I'm going to call my shot and I'm going to go to the
- 2:40:42UFC, ladies and gentlemen. And Ilya Toporier, or that's how
- 2:40:47he pronounces his name. The lightweight champion is
- 2:40:51taking a break and obviously he's getting a divorce.
- 2:40:54He's dealing with that. And he has two children.
- 2:40:56He wanted to spend some time. So the interim championship held
- 2:41:00was held this past weekend where Gagey fought Patty Pimblet.
- 2:41:05And obviously, Gagey wins indecision, busts up Patty
- 2:41:10Pimblet. But here's what my prediction
- 2:41:12is. Justin Gagey will not be healthy
- 2:41:17to fight Ilya Toporia at the White House.
- 2:41:23And Toporia is supposed to fight his first fight at the first
- 2:41:26fight to come back to defend his title against the interim
- 2:41:30champion besides himself, and that's Gagey.
- 2:41:33Gagey will not fight him. It will be Patty Pinwit who Ilia
- 2:41:38Taporia attacked after the fight of USC 3/3/24 and was taking
- 2:41:43shots at him. Oh, you lost against 38 year
- 2:41:46old? And I think Dana White would
- 2:41:47absolutely sell the hell out of this.
- 2:41:50Ilia Taporia, the champion versus Patty Pimlet for the
- 2:41:54lightweight championship of the world at the White House.
- 2:41:57OK, ladies and gentlemen, it will not be just engaging.
- 2:42:00It will be Patty Pimlet and it'll be a last minute thing and
- 2:42:04Patty's the one that's going to step in.
- 2:42:05Patty the Patty. And guess what?
- 2:42:08He beats Ilya Taporia and wins the title and he actually
- 2:42:12finally wins his championship. That's my prediction, ladies and
- 2:42:15gentlemen. So we'll see how it works.
- 2:42:18I know everybody probably thinks I'm crazy.
- 2:42:20The UFC fan probably thinks I'm a little crazy.
- 2:42:22But I think that Patty learned from that loss against Gagey and
- 2:42:26I to me, he should have taken Gagey down.
- 2:42:29If he took Gagey down and dominated the floor, dominant,
- 2:42:32dominated the ground and ground and pound like he's done so many
- 2:42:36times with, first of all, he walks at £200, he cuts 50 lbs
- 2:42:41every time he fights. It's pretty amazing.
- 2:42:44I think Ilya Taporia is very small.
- 2:42:47If Patty's this size, I don't know if Taporia has the punching
- 2:42:50power to do what Gagey did in that fight.
- 2:42:53I think Taporia loses this fight if he fights.
- 2:42:56If he fights Pimlit, I think matchups and make fights and
- 2:42:59styles make fights. I think this this might go in
- 2:43:03Patty Pimplet's favorite. Patty, the Patty.
- 2:43:06Give me Patty. That's all I'm going to say.
- 2:43:09Yeah, that was a good one. I was thinking about where I was
- 2:43:11going to go, and nobody really uses UFC stuff, so I had to do
- 2:43:15that. All right, our ladies and
- 2:43:17gentlemen, our NBA Roundtable. It's time to hit the NBA
- 2:43:21Roundtable. We have a few big stories,
- 2:43:25couple of small ones. The biggest 1 though?
- 2:43:28Giannis and Tenacupo is officially on the trade market
- 2:43:33trade deadline next Thursday, 4 PMI believe.
- 2:43:37So it looks like we're going to have a resolution now.
- 2:43:39He is out injured 4 to six weeks, allegedly with another
- 2:43:45calf injury. It's the second calf injury this
- 2:43:48season for Giannis. We know what calf injuries can
- 2:43:51force foretell, but there's going to be some team, in fact a
- 2:43:56number of teams who are going to want to take a shot that even if
- 2:44:00he's not 100%, I mean, you got you got to try to get Giannis
- 2:44:05into the fold. The Knicks, the Warriors, the
- 2:44:09Spurs, the the Heat are all being named of contenders.
- 2:44:15And there's a real rumor out there that Giannis wants to play
- 2:44:20with Anthony Edwards. Errol.
- 2:44:23Yeah, I think there's a very good chance it could be the
- 2:44:26Timberwolves. They've got a lot of young
- 2:44:28talent. They have a good farm system.
- 2:44:29They've got a they still have their draft picks.
- 2:44:33Here's the thing. I think that the the New York
- 2:44:36Knicks are going to make a run at him.
- 2:44:38I don't think they're going to overpay for him.
- 2:44:40I think there's a better chance that Miami lands him out of all
- 2:44:44the teams because it's Pat Riley.
- 2:44:46They're looking for that next superstar.
- 2:44:48And I like Bam Autobayo. Bam autobayo would definitely be
- 2:44:51in that trailer. I don't care what anybody says,
- 2:44:53they're going to have to move Bam if they're going to get
- 2:44:55Giannis, they keep hero. Bam would be the centerpiece.
- 2:44:58They'd have to trade a ton of draft stock and does Giannis
- 2:45:03want to go there? Because I don't know if he's
- 2:45:05going to be able to win even with that roster.
- 2:45:07But I think it's Knicks one, Miami two.
- 2:45:12Put it, you know, and I listen, Anthony Edwards, yes, but
- 2:45:15they're good right now. The Timberwolves are fine.
- 2:45:17I think the Timberwolves will make one or two trades.
- 2:45:19They have a tremendous roster and Julius Randall's been up and
- 2:45:22down this year, but I think come to closer to the playoffs in the
- 2:45:26second-half of the season. I expect this team to play at a
- 2:45:28top level. I do not believe the
- 2:45:30Timberwolves will make that trade.
- 2:45:31Minnesota is interesting because they like we're talking about
- 2:45:34with the hockey segment with the Dallas Stars, they're the team
- 2:45:36that's been, it's the two conference finals in a row, but
- 2:45:38haven't gotten to the finals in the NBA.
- 2:45:40So are they ready to go for one more big swing?
- 2:45:43Obviously Towns and Edwards didn't get along so and
- 2:45:45obviously Towns kind of melted in that Dallas series.
- 2:45:48So they traded in the Knicks and we've seen him be up and down in
- 2:45:50the playoffs for the Knicks this this past year too.
- 2:45:52So is that the move that they're going to try to make to get
- 2:45:55somebody that doesn't have to take ball pressure off of
- 2:45:58Anthony Edwards now, the Knicks, the Rockets and the Spurs, those
- 2:46:00are the three teams that have the draft picks comparatively.
- 2:46:03It's interesting to see if the Spurs want to mess with what's
- 2:46:05working for them right now because they're the number two
- 2:46:07seed in the Western Conference right now.
- 2:46:09Houston's kind of a 45 fringe. So maybe they would be the one
- 2:46:11more likely to make the swing. But I agree with you.
- 2:46:13The Knicks definitely are the favorites.
- 2:46:14I Miami, it's kind of a weird fit.
- 2:46:16I don't think it would really work and buy them on a bio Miles
- 2:46:18Turner, practically the same player.
- 2:46:19I don't know if Milwaukee would want that back.
- 2:46:21And the Warriors, I think they're just desperate, I don't
- 2:46:23think. Man, I just am just so worried
- 2:46:27that Karl Anthony Towns is irked, allegedly irked by these
- 2:46:33trade rumors. It'd be nice if he didn't suck
- 2:46:37right now. He's playing a lot worse than he
- 2:46:39did last year. He's still good, but his
- 2:46:41shooting, his three-point shooting has come back down to
- 2:46:44earth. He was well over 40% last year.
- 2:46:46He's at like 3637 right now, which is good, not great.
- 2:46:51And his the rest of his numbers are his rebound numbers have
- 2:46:54come down. I don't know.
- 2:46:56And I and then every time they matched up him and Giannis,
- 2:46:59Giannis just destroys him. Just he's like, oh really?
- 2:47:02You're going to give me this guy?
- 2:47:04I don't know if Katz really a winning player when it comes
- 2:47:09down to it and he has a big cap number going forwards it might
- 2:47:15make. Sense to.
- 2:47:16Try to move him in this deal and he would be the best guy anyone
- 2:47:20would be able to give back to Milwaukee.
- 2:47:23There's a second piece of. This.
- 2:47:25Knicks, The fact that the Knicks may be trying to lure somebody
- 2:47:29over there to make it more palatable for Giannis to come.
- 2:47:33The Knicks are interested in Drew Holiday coming over here
- 2:47:36now. Drew Holiday is 35 years old,
- 2:47:41right? And he, as you know, used to
- 2:47:43play with with Giannis, he's on this kind of surprising Portland
- 2:47:47team this year. Good young team.
- 2:47:49He's not really on the same schedule as them with his
- 2:47:54career. It would make sense for them to
- 2:47:56try to get assets for him, for him, young players that can
- 2:47:59contribute to a young core. The Knicks could use somebody to
- 2:48:04kind of hide some of Brunson's deficiencies along the
- 2:48:07perimeter, considering if they have towns you have guys with.
- 2:48:12And I think this has been the problem.
- 2:48:13He got deficiencies in the big man part and he got deficiencies
- 2:48:16of the point guard. You need to get some more the
- 2:48:19defense out there. What do you think about adding
- 2:48:22Drew Holiday possibly doing that to get Giannis?
- 2:48:25I think it's a slam dunk. If you're trying to draw a
- 2:48:27superstar player, you're going to have to bring one of his
- 2:48:30boys. We saw that Jalen Brunson when
- 2:48:32he came in here. I obviously Leon Rose wanted to
- 2:48:35make sure that a guy like Jalen Brunson would be happy.
- 2:48:38Then he decided to bring in heart.
- 2:48:40Then he brought in obviously, you know, the, the, the elites
- 2:48:44and, and now look what they have.
- 2:48:46They have Michael Bridges, they they have all these Villanova
- 2:48:48guys now I could see them trying to draw a guy like Giannis and,
- 2:48:54and Drew Holiday still can play. He's a great defender.
- 2:48:56He's one of the elite defenders at the perimeter.
- 2:48:58You can move them on multiple positions, especially the two he
- 2:49:02he gets in on you, he gets on in on your hands.
- 2:49:04He's one of the best at doing that and he still can shoot
- 2:49:06fairly. So I, I think it's a good move
- 2:49:09for the Knicks. They add a veteran personality
- 2:49:11to the locker room and they're going to need that leadership
- 2:49:13because obviously when you have Jalen Brunson calling a team
- 2:49:17meeting, that doesn't sound or doesn't bowl well for the
- 2:49:19organization. So, and I'm not saying that
- 2:49:21Jalen Brunson isn't good speak. I just don't know if he's more
- 2:49:24of that leading type. They need somebody that has that
- 2:49:27experience and and has has won before and I think Drew
- 2:49:30Holiday's the guy. Yeah, even when he was in New
- 2:49:33Orleans too, when he got traded over there to Milwaukee
- 2:49:35initially, they lost a lot of leadership when they got Bledsoe
- 2:49:38instead and Anthony Davis got traded as a result.
- 2:49:41Zion really never developed. They really didn't have anyone
- 2:49:43there either. And Milwaukee, you're seeing it
- 2:49:45now, has really lost a lot since Drew Holiday was in that deal
- 2:49:49with just to get Damian Lillard. And then you saw, I think now
- 2:49:53with the Knicks, you're seeing that you really have a lot of
- 2:49:55specialists on the bench at this point.
- 2:49:56We talked about it last week. Jordan Clarkson's kind of been
- 2:49:58out of the rotation because he struggled on offense and he's
- 2:50:01never been a good defender anyway.
- 2:50:02And now Drew Holiday's that perfect guy.
- 2:50:04I think filler in that point for another incentive.
- 2:50:06You have six days to make it work, but it definitely could
- 2:50:08help Giannis. You can not only get there, but
- 2:50:10sign back there as well. You know, the Bucks at one point
- 2:50:13speed, you telling me, I think it's three years ago.
- 2:50:15Maybe it was two years ago. They had a coach named Adrian
- 2:50:18Griffin. Yeah, two years ago they fired,
- 2:50:20they fired him mid season. They were 30 and 13 and replaced
- 2:50:25them with Doc Rivers I. Remember that very.
- 2:50:28Well, I, I, it's, I mean, you can kind of draw a line right to
- 2:50:33that moment as what they, and then they traded guys away.
- 2:50:37They let guys go from the championship.
- 2:50:38Team It all changed when they decided to part ways with
- 2:50:42Budenholzer. That was it.
- 2:50:44Yeah. As soon as as soon as they fired
- 2:50:47Budenholzer and he was the coach when they won the championship,
- 2:50:50it changed everything for that organization and and Budenholzer
- 2:50:53is now coaching and and still, you know, being as elite as he
- 2:50:58always is. And I think he's I Budenholzer
- 2:51:00will be, he's not a Co head coach yet, but he'll he'll get
- 2:51:03another head coaching job very soon.
- 2:51:05I wouldn't be surprised. All right, let's let's talk
- 2:51:08about one of the more surprising stories in the NBA.
- 2:51:12We were ragging on this team at the beginning of the season.
- 2:51:17The LA Clippers started the year 6 and 21, Well, let's call it
- 2:51:24now 16 and 316 and four in their last 20 games.
- 2:51:30They are the 10 seed in the Western Conference, which means
- 2:51:33they're in the play in game. Kawhi Leonard is leading the NBA
- 2:51:38during this stretch in points per game at 32 points per game.
- 2:51:42James Harden is, you know, I guess in shape for James Harden
- 2:51:45these days and playing I, I, I mean, I'm not going to pretend
- 2:51:50like. He's got to get in shape for for
- 2:51:51in three months when he has to sell the playoff tickets.
- 2:51:54But you know, he's got this, he's got like the guard version
- 2:51:58of the old man game already built in right Errol, like he's
- 2:52:02got all these step back, extra footstep type moves that it used
- 2:52:07to always be like, you know, the the old man game was just a low
- 2:52:11post thing. You know, like you got like an
- 2:52:13old guy play with everybody. You can do things in the post,
- 2:52:16pass out of the post. Now with the types of moves
- 2:52:19Harden has added to the league, he may play for a very long time
- 2:52:24if he could stay in Harden shape Ish.
- 2:52:27Well, we call him fatten so because anyways, here, here's
- 2:52:33the facts. Kawhi Leonard is finally playing
- 2:52:35on an elite level. When he came here, he had knee
- 2:52:38problems, he had leg problems. He has not been 100% healthy
- 2:52:41since he came from the Raptors and helped the Raptors win their
- 2:52:44first title. I'm going to tell you this right
- 2:52:46now. If Kawhi Leonard is at a top
- 2:52:48level, you watch out. They can absolutely be scary in
- 2:52:51the playoffs. You do not want to be matched up
- 2:52:53with them. It's not James Harden I'd be
- 2:52:55worried about, it's Kawhi Leonard.
- 2:52:56He is a beast. And if I were the Clippers, I
- 2:53:00would use them as a trade ship. They're not because they'll
- 2:53:03probably believe all the way because they have an idiot coach
- 2:53:06and we all know who he is, who I'm not a big fan of.
- 2:53:10I can see that idiot coach trying to feed them any thought
- 2:53:13that they're going to win a championship and maybe, maybe
- 2:53:16they will. We'll see.
- 2:53:17But I think the coach is a moron and I think Kawhi is special so.
- 2:53:21Yeah, they're being stuck in like consistent, like mediocrity
- 2:53:24for quite a while. They're they're always just
- 2:53:26short when they're good. And then they're always never
- 2:53:28bad enough to get anywhere. And now they're kind of stuck in
- 2:53:30the sense of false hope when they don't have a team that's
- 2:53:32that good. And like Errol saying, a coach
- 2:53:33that's a moron and is. Big moron.
- 2:53:36I remember the guy that used to be with our network and Trey
- 2:53:39Larkins thought he was a top three coach in the NBA, which I
- 2:53:42thought he was not. Trey, don't.
- 2:53:43I miss that. Yes, he thought that at the
- 2:53:45time. I I don't believe he's, he'll be
- 2:53:47thinking that anymore. Look, a buddy is on the
- 2:53:49television, right? Now, oh, look at that.
- 2:53:52Which brings us to. With his yellow shirt.
- 2:53:55With a great reminder of James Harden's time was the Brooklyn
- 2:53:57Nets selling playoff tickets outside?
- 2:53:58If they even make it to the play in tournament and that's all
- 2:54:01they're going to get to at this. Point.
- 2:54:02Maybe they should sell or maybe should give away some fattened
- 2:54:05shirts. They don't have to.
- 2:54:07They could. They could use that.
- 2:54:08They can use it. They, they can.
- 2:54:10They don't need to sell them. They could use all the money
- 2:54:12they're getting from Steve Ballmer's fake company.
- 2:54:13Interesting. Oh man.
- 2:54:15If you think Steve Ballmer and I've been saving this one up,
- 2:54:19our buddy Pablo Torre did some more investigations and he found
- 2:54:23out there's a worse owner by far than what Steve Ballmer was
- 2:54:28doing. And it happens to be a guy named
- 2:54:30Robert Para, the Memphis Grizzlies owner.
- 2:54:35So the story goes that there was a six month investigation into
- 2:54:41the company that Pera owns, a tech company called Ubiquity,
- 2:54:46which has a long range wireless communication equipment.
- 2:54:49Now, the NBA never really found out where he got his money from.
- 2:54:55They knew he was a tech guy. He's apparently selling his
- 2:55:01wireless communication equipment to the Russian army and which is
- 2:55:06completely against U.S. sanctions and very, very
- 2:55:11illegal. He's going to get in a lot of
- 2:55:13trouble. But there's more stories about
- 2:55:16this weirdo para that might interest you.
- 2:55:19This is called the Justin Timberlake story.
- 2:55:22He got so angry after he purchased the Grizzlies that
- 2:55:27somebody said that Justin Timberlake's frequent
- 2:55:30appearances really bothered him. So he had, he made sure he
- 2:55:34bought out Justin Timberlake as an owner because he was insecure
- 2:55:39that Justin Timberlake was more important than him in his own
- 2:55:43arena. And then we have this Tony Allen
- 2:55:46story, which is just, I mean, he challenged Tony Allen in 2013 to
- 2:55:54a game of one-on-one. Oh boy, for charity.
- 2:55:58He thought he was a good basketball player.
- 2:56:01This owner, Pretty sure he's probably short regardless, not
- 2:56:06an NBA player. Tony Allen.
- 2:56:08They everyone. The coach, Dave Yeager tried to
- 2:56:12get them as bad as they could. Not to fight, not to have this
- 2:56:16game. Apparently when the game was
- 2:56:18cancelled, he tried to fire the coach Yeager and insisted on the
- 2:56:23upper management doing it. The move was blocked at the
- 2:56:27time, but as you know, they eventually did fire him.
- 2:56:30And they hired Nick's legend David Fizdale.
- 2:56:33And, you know, there's other things about like, kind of like
- 2:56:35his weird stance with John Morant, how strict he was.
- 2:56:40Apparently we have a pretty renegade owner in the NBA Arrow.
- 2:56:45What it tells me is eventually the players are going to be
- 2:56:49involved and he is probably going to lose his ownership.
- 2:56:54I mean, everything that you're hearing right now, it just tells
- 2:56:56you there is some kind of, you know, some kind of secrets going
- 2:57:01on in the back end of the NBA ownerships.
- 2:57:05And this has been going on for a while.
- 2:57:07I mean, think about it in Phoenix, it was going on, it was
- 2:57:10going on with the Clippers. And now you're hearing the
- 2:57:12Memphis Grizzlies. What's next?
- 2:57:14And and by the way, don't the Memphis Grizzlies have a player
- 2:57:18over there that can't stay out of trouble?
- 2:57:19I mean, maybe he should try to control his players instead of
- 2:57:24trying to sell computer programs and computer, you know, stuff to
- 2:57:29the Russians and giving them an opportunity to use that against
- 2:57:33us. I mean, it's pathetic honestly.
- 2:57:35This guy is worse than any of those owners that lost their
- 2:57:39their ownership. This guy is a bad dude and he
- 2:57:42should absolutely been pushed be pushed out of the NBA.
- 2:57:45Yeah. This is somebody that's getting
- 2:57:47involved with international conflict and probably like the
- 2:57:50worst we've seen in this last 15 years or so with that country
- 2:57:54you're trying to get involved with and those leaders over
- 2:57:57there, there are even leaders. But with a, what would you say
- 2:58:01wireless like routing company like that sounds as fake as it
- 2:58:05gets. It sounds shady.
- 2:58:06Is that the kind of technology and then you're trying to?
- 2:58:08Spread it around. To who knows, maybe even just
- 2:58:11Russia at this point. We we thought the NBA the
- 2:58:13betting scandal was crazy as how many mobsters and mafia.
- 2:58:17And countries they were getting. Involved in and now you're
- 2:58:19dealing with this thing yeah, this is absolutely something you
- 2:58:21should be forced out for and. And you're like one-on-one with
- 2:58:24Tony Allen, Think you're some kind of hot, hot basketball
- 2:58:27player. What do you of our ball trying
- 2:58:29to go up one-on-one with Michael Jordan?
- 2:58:31Yeah, that's going to work well. All right, I got and the last
- 2:58:34thing is, is not a ton. I mean, we could talk about
- 2:58:37LeBron if you want. You saw LeBron crying.
- 2:58:41You saw him in his last game maybe ever in Cleveland.
- 2:58:46I mean, I personally don't buy it, but maybe it is.
- 2:58:51Maybe it isn't his last and you think that's it for LeBron?
- 2:58:53This is his last year. Is it looking like that?
- 2:58:56I don't think so, and I'm going to tell you why.
- 2:58:58He still has other records that he wants to break and he has a
- 2:59:01chance to break him if he plays another season.
- 2:59:04There's I think there's a record that he's second place in right
- 2:59:07now and 4th place in another record that he has a chance to
- 2:59:11break if he plays one more season.
- 2:59:13I think LeBron comes back for one more year.
- 2:59:16So last year in in Cleveland, No, I, it might be the last year
- 2:59:22with the Lakers. I, I think he could be playing
- 2:59:24for another roster, another team, another organization for
- 2:59:27at least one more year. We'll see how that goes.
- 2:59:29I I think LeBron also wants to see if he can get that fifth
- 2:59:31championship to tie Kobe. He doesn't have that and that's
- 2:59:35his goal. That's always been his goal.
- 2:59:38He's not going to catch Jordan, but he might be able to catch
- 2:59:41Kobe and that's where I think he's going to go.
- 2:59:43Yeah, if he's trying to get that championship, maybe he does end
- 2:59:45up with Cleveland. I mean, I don't know if there's
- 2:59:47any other teams that are in that championship contending mode
- 2:59:50that would go after him. I am at this point.
- 2:59:51And maybe Houston, but that means Kevin Durant's going to
- 2:59:53have way too much influence with that team and that could ruin
- 2:59:55that team very easily too. They're building something.
- 2:59:57Well, he's not going to go to the Spurs or OKC or anything
- 2:59:59like that. So Cleveland will probably be
- 3:00:01the best shot. I think there's still a tough
- 3:00:02that's there's still a top three team in the East this year even
- 3:00:04though haven't played as good. But yeah, I think he's
- 3:00:07definitely last year with the Lakers.
- 3:00:08If he just wants to play one year with his buddies, he'll
- 3:00:10probably you'll probably be right with your first.
- 3:00:11Call yourself Errol and maybe he ends up with the Dallas
- 3:00:13Mavericks. Who knows.
- 3:00:14All right. And the very last one we've got,
- 3:00:17the Rising Stars rosters were revealed.
- 3:00:22Now they've they've gotten to the point with these games that
- 3:00:26it's just like you don't even know what you're watching
- 3:00:29anymore. There's four teams, all right.
- 3:00:32Carmelo Anthony has a team, T Mac has a team, Vince Carter has
- 3:00:37a team. And the fourth team is a bunch
- 3:00:40of G League players, including Trail Blazers draft pick the big
- 3:00:47the the Chinese Yokich Yang Hansen and Clippers center
- 3:00:52Yannick Conan Niederhauser. All right, Ron Harper junior's
- 3:00:57on that team, but let me read you who the top picks were.
- 3:01:01Of course, Carmelo Anthony made Cooper flag the number one
- 3:01:05overall pick in the Rising Stars game, as he may surprise you.
- 3:01:10Yeah, I'll do the Carmelo licking my lips every time he
- 3:01:12has something. Carmelo Anthony.
- 3:01:16He likes licking his lips. Because he drinks so much red
- 3:01:19wine and just gets like that, that kind of taste.
- 3:01:22The second guy I'd I'd like to know how many times I'd like to
- 3:01:26I'd like to know how many times he eats honey and our Cheerios.
- 3:01:31And so did Kevin Garnett. I'd probably more than Charles
- 3:01:34Barkley does. Con canople yes was the second
- 3:01:38pick in this draft. You could argue he should have
- 3:01:41been first. And some people made that
- 3:01:44argument. Con canoople.
- 3:01:47Same team as Cooper flag last year having an unbelievable
- 3:01:54rookie season. No one really thought he'd come
- 3:01:56to the league and take it by storm like this.
- 3:01:59The third pick was VJ Edgecomb, who has been excellent for the
- 3:02:04Sixers. Seems to be they have a really
- 3:02:08nice backcourt for the future. And then the 4th pick is a
- 3:02:12really interesting player who at the time the trade seemed really
- 3:02:16crazy what they made. They traded an unprotected pick
- 3:02:20to move up to take Derek Queen. Derek Queen is the 4th pick in
- 3:02:24this draft. So Derek Queen went in the teens
- 3:02:27in the in the NBA draft last year.
- 3:02:29So that's obviously pretty impressive.
- 3:02:32Other guys, Reed Shepherd's in this game.
- 3:02:34Stefan Castle, last year's rookie of the Year, Jeremiah
- 3:02:37Fears, Donovan Klingon, the UConn champion, and Raptors
- 3:02:42forward Colin Murray Boyles. That's Mellow's team.
- 3:02:45Along with Cooper Flag. We got Knupel, Koll Ware, Trey
- 3:02:51Johnson and Alex Sarr from the Wizards.
- 3:02:54AJ Mitchell By the way, if you haven't paid attention to AJ
- 3:02:56Mitchell on the Oklahoma City Thunder, he's just they just
- 3:03:00find these guys and and this guy's like maybe a top 100
- 3:03:04player in the league already. Second year, unbelievable.
- 3:03:08Jalen Tyson and Cam Spencer. Vince Carter's team is Edgecomb
- 3:03:12Queen Haishan Jordan, George Boozelis, Nets, Nets point
- 3:03:19guard, the future Igor Demin and Cedric Coward and Jalen Wells
- 3:03:24from Memphis. And again that game they'll
- 3:03:27have. The four teams will play 3
- 3:03:29games. The winners of the first two
- 3:03:31games will play in the 3rd to determine the champion.
- 3:03:33Friday the 13th of February. Is is Jason and Freddie playing?
- 3:03:41It might look like that out on the court.
- 3:03:44Probably it's as ugly as it can be.
- 3:03:47Who cares? Honestly, who cares?
- 3:03:51I I mean. What do you think about the
- 3:03:53Knoople thing though? The Knoople thing is fascinating
- 3:03:55that he's this good. I think canoople I I knew all
- 3:03:58about canoople. Now I don't think he's anywhere
- 3:04:01close to the talent Cooper flag is, but con canoople could shoot
- 3:04:05the ball. He's definitely the best shooter
- 3:04:07in this class. It's not even an argument and
- 3:04:10he's proven that over there with the Charlotte Hornets and I
- 3:04:13balls playing playing pretty good.
- 3:04:15I mean the Hornets have a good future if they if they could
- 3:04:17build their team around this youth and this talent give them
- 3:04:21another year or two, they're going to be able to compete with
- 3:04:23all the top teams in in the east.
- 3:04:25So I, I, I'm interested to see where the where the Hornets are
- 3:04:29going to be, but I'm not surprised.
- 3:04:32I I think the two best teams I mean the two best players is
- 3:04:35Concanupal and and Flag so not. Surprised, yeah.
- 3:04:39It's a lot of these teams like you first, you mentioned the
- 3:04:41Wizards like they've started to rise now, but it's not really a
- 3:04:43great team overall. The Hornets Concanupal
- 3:04:45definitely has a case for the Rookie of the Year this year for
- 3:04:48sure. Pelicans to have a couple of
- 3:04:50young ones. You mentioned Queen fears I like
- 3:04:51a lot. Of Cooper flags going to win.
- 3:04:53Yeah, he's going to. Probably probably, but again,
- 3:04:56Canoople definitely making a good case.
- 3:04:58I was. I was fine with them taking 4
- 3:04:59because they never dropped shooters at all.
- 3:05:01They always dropped these weird big man prototypes.
- 3:05:03And I'm not surprised Canoople is playing as well as the.
- 3:05:06So they're playing each other right now as we speak.
- 3:05:09It's late in the third quarter. You got to hear the stat lines
- 3:05:12of the two of them. Flag is sitting at 40 points in
- 3:05:1528 minutes, 16 of 23, two hits, hit two threes, has seven
- 3:05:20boards, 2 assists. Knupel has 28 points on 9 of 13
- 3:05:25shooting, 83 pointers, 8 of 11 from 3-4 rebounds, 3 assists.
- 3:05:30The two of them have a whole quarter left to play with those
- 3:05:33numbers and it's a 3 point game you're going to.
- 3:05:36It's going to be a box score you want to check out.
- 3:05:40So that's it for the round table for tonight, boys.
- 3:05:43I'm a Duke guy, so I'm rooting for both those guys.
- 3:05:46I want them all to succeed and I'm not surprised.
- 3:05:49And I'm telling you guys right now, Cam Boozer is the best
- 3:05:52player in this class and you can book it.
- 3:05:55You can book it. He's better than Cooper Flag.
- 3:05:57He has a better talent than Cooper Flag, and that's crazy to
- 3:05:59say that. So I'm telling you, whoever
- 3:06:03passes up on him, he's going to be the best one in this class.
- 3:06:06I'm just telling you, I'm not lying.
- 3:06:10That's how good he is. All right, we call this.
- 3:06:12What's that smell? Hold on, what is that smell?
- 3:06:16What's that? Smell.
- 3:06:23Wow, you don't see that every day.
- 3:06:24Pass Liquor. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 3:06:28I got a little hold on hold. On I love Lisa Ann that's.
- 3:06:31The good one right there or a little of hold on, hold on, hold
- 3:06:35on. Suck my indo I.
- 3:06:36Like to suck my indo one too? Or or.
- 3:06:39Thumb up my ass. Well, that's what Nathan's doing
- 3:06:41right now as we speak. On his sofa or on his sofa, or
- 3:06:44maybe. He is always looking at Lee Sad.
- 3:06:46That's right as. He's scoop sits on the shitter.
- 3:06:48There he goes, and he's probably dreaming about scoops right now,
- 3:06:51but anyway. But wait, Nathan sits on the
- 3:06:53shitter. He also looks really sad as he.
- 3:06:55Does poops gets no coots? Well, does Nathan?
- 3:06:58I don't know. Double fisting.
- 3:07:01Well, somebody's going to double fist him, if you know what I
- 3:07:03mean. I love them.
- 3:07:04Or we got this one. Hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 3:07:07A lot of hot ladies. I like that one.
- 3:07:09I do a lot of hot ladies or I'll talk to Brittany.
- 3:07:12Breaking news, I need Brittany also.
- 3:07:14All right, ladies and gentlemen, what's that smell is our final
- 3:07:18segment on that. There he is, Nathan's care, Care
- 3:07:21Bear. He is a Care Bear, whatever that
- 3:07:26thing is. Anyways.
- 3:07:27So what we do, what we do in this segment is pretty simple.
- 3:07:32We're going around in a circle. We're going to go around in a
- 3:07:35circle. You see, I'm a little, little
- 3:07:37ditzy now. And what we're going to do is
- 3:07:40we're going to tell you a story and we're going to tell you what
- 3:07:42it smells like. So tonight we're going to go
- 3:07:44Speedy. We're going to go poops.
- 3:07:46We're going to go fish. We're going to go me.
- 3:07:47No, Jabba tonight. We love you, Jabba.
- 3:07:49We'll see you on Monday. I'll see you this weekend.
- 3:07:52Here we go. All right, so I'll start off in
- 3:07:55a with a university in the state that Nissan lives in right now
- 3:07:57and that is Rutgers University. A report came out of just how
- 3:08:01much they've lost since they've joined the Big 10 since it's
- 3:08:042014, 2015 season. I guess power conferences are
- 3:08:07not for everybody. They, their athletic department
- 3:08:09has lost a combined $517 million.
- 3:08:12This includes gaining $58.9 million media deal when the Big
- 3:08:1710 obviously expanded back in 2024 and they've got $200
- 3:08:21million with the increase with the Big 10 revenue.
- 3:08:24And amidst all that they stole net loss $517,000,000.
- 3:08:28And they obviously have some good coaches within their
- 3:08:31program now with Greg Schiano with their football team, but he
- 3:08:33got a big contract and Steve Pykel with the with the
- 3:08:35basketball team. But still it hasn't gotten to
- 3:08:37many places. Their athletic programs have not
- 3:08:40really amounted to much in the Big 10.
- 3:08:42Not the same football powerhouses in the past when
- 3:08:44they were one of the good group of five schools in the past when
- 3:08:47they had Ray Rice in those teams.
- 3:08:49So what does that smell like? I'm going to because it's New
- 3:08:51Jersey. We got to keep a Nithin theme
- 3:08:52and it smells like 517 Scarlet Knights, the bloodshed of them
- 3:08:57when they've just been defeated by Nathan's leash.
- 3:09:03Well, all right, sweetie, Always with his very, very interesting
- 3:09:08smells. I'm going to be going over to
- 3:09:10some NFL and I'm going to be talking and poking fun a little
- 3:09:12bit, specifically at wide receiver Tyler Lockett.
- 3:09:15Not too much fun, only because I actually do really enjoy this
- 3:09:18guy. I've always, I've always thought
- 3:09:19this guy was a pretty good wide receiver.
- 3:09:21Tyler Lockett. However, it's more of the UN
- 3:09:24series of unfortunate events because his entire career, his
- 3:09:28entire tenure, has solely been sandwiched in between the
- 3:09:32Seahawks 2 Super Bowl appearances.
- 3:09:35He got onto the team the year right after they lost to the
- 3:09:37Patriots, and just this year he exited to the Titans right
- 3:09:41before the Seahawks go right back to the Super Bowl 10 years
- 3:09:44after, basically. Even on top of that, he didn't
- 3:09:47have that great of a year. You know, he actually was with
- 3:09:49the Titans, got only started one game, played seven games, got
- 3:09:53traded mid season, and only caught one touchdown pass the
- 3:09:56entire year on the Raiders. I mean, that's not entirely like
- 3:10:00surprising. The Raiders are absolute
- 3:10:01garbage. But yeah, it's, it's kind of,
- 3:10:03it's kind of heartbreaking. To see grumpy old man.
- 3:10:05Somewhat with Tyler Locky, you know, he was such a good player,
- 3:10:07like I said, over in the early days in Seattle, and it's
- 3:10:09somewhat hard to see that now. He's just not going to be able
- 3:10:12to play in the. Super Bowl.
- 3:10:13So what does it smell like? Well, it smells like whatever
- 3:10:17those nasty ass avocado martinis that Tom Brady was over there
- 3:10:21drinking when he was celebrating in.
- 3:10:23Syria. I don't know what avocado
- 3:10:26martinis smell like, but they have to smell like avocado ass.
- 3:10:29I hope not. There we go.
- 3:10:32That's. That's yeah.
- 3:10:33All right, I'll go. This story is a doozy.
- 3:10:38So you remember the honey badger, Errol?
- 3:10:40Yes, I do. So the honey badger opened up on
- 3:10:43his. Podcast I heard about.
- 3:10:44This in the in the Bayou with Tehran, Matthew in about 18
- 3:10:50minutes and he said he nearly died drinking bleach in an
- 3:10:55attempt to pass a drug test at LSU.
- 3:11:00Apparently, he'd been searching a way to pass the test when he
- 3:11:03suggestion online said to drink Coca-Cola with a little bit of
- 3:11:09bleach mixed into it. I ended up throwing that S up,
- 3:11:14Matthew said. And at that point I'm like, man,
- 3:11:17F it. I've run out of tricks.
- 3:11:19I don't know what to do. I remember sitting in front of
- 3:11:22that building with an effing cap full of bleach and a Coke
- 3:11:25bottle, and I thought that was going to save my life.
- 3:11:28It didn't. It backfired.
- 3:11:32He, as you remember, got in trouble in that year.
- 3:11:35I guess this is probably part of the reason why we're finding out
- 3:11:39today. He ended up getting taken in the
- 3:11:43third round, obviously went on to have a fantastic career in
- 3:11:46the NFL Hall of Fame. I guess he can look back and
- 3:11:48laugh at it now. But yeah, I mean, that's just
- 3:11:53one of the all time dumb things kids do.
- 3:11:57Like just the worst thing you can do.
- 3:11:59I actually had a kid that I taught and I obviously not in
- 3:12:01the names just like 10 years ago, but I tried to get him to
- 3:12:04play football and he told me he couldn't.
- 3:12:06He had a medical and I was like, what do you mean he had a
- 3:12:08medical? He's like, yeah, I have a hole
- 3:12:09in my stomach because I drank bleach in middle school.
- 3:12:12I was like, OK, you don't have to play for me.
- 3:12:14I that's completely fine. Obviously.
- 3:12:17What does this smell like? Well, it smells like that
- 3:12:20chlorine smell of bleach of. Course it's not about something
- 3:12:24else in your pants. I mean, that's a little bit like
- 3:12:26that too. Well, I mean, Can you imagine
- 3:12:29like, I guess he had a lot at stake back in those days and
- 3:12:33there was no NIL money back then, you know.
- 3:12:36We should ask him. I don't know, maybe we'll get
- 3:12:38him on the show. All right, My final or the
- 3:12:42final. What's that smell is very
- 3:12:43interesting story and it has to go with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 3:12:47Dalton Wasserman. Wasserman from Football Pro
- 3:12:51Football Focus recently published an update mock draft
- 3:12:55that has the Steelers taking Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson
- 3:13:00in the first round. This is not expected to be a
- 3:13:05deep quarterback class, and Fernando Mendoza and Simpson
- 3:13:08could be the only two first round passers.
- 3:13:12Regarding Simpson and the Steelers, Wasserman offered the
- 3:13:15following Pittsburgh recently hired Mike McCarthy.
- 3:13:19Will that inevitable me be mean that fuel speculations that
- 3:13:25Aaron Rodgers will return? Even if Rodgers does return, the
- 3:13:29Steelers still need to identify a long term a long term solution
- 3:13:34at the quarterback position. Opinions on Alabama's Ty Simpson
- 3:13:38vary, but he he But he posted an 81.4 PFF passing grade while
- 3:13:47leading the FBS with 30 big time throws in his alone season with
- 3:13:54the Crimson Tide. Wow.
- 3:13:58Not surprised that the Pittsburgh Steelers are drafting
- 3:14:00another quarterback in the first round.
- 3:14:03A little bit late and it's probably going to fail.
- 3:14:06Nobody wants Ty. Ty is only going into this
- 3:14:10year's draft because it makes him, makes teams wonder about
- 3:14:15him. Think about it, it's just
- 3:14:17Mendoza going into the first round and now he is the only
- 3:14:21other quality quarterback as far as statistics would tell you
- 3:14:25that could be possibly a first round talent and that's why he
- 3:14:29decided to go and not go back to college and get a little bit
- 3:14:32better with Alabama. You know what it smells like?
- 3:14:34It smells like the Crimson Tides mascot taking a dump.
- 3:14:38How's that? That's about it.
- 3:14:40I mean, honestly, I don't know what Ty Simpson's going to be or
- 3:14:45I really don't. I know that Mike McCarthy got
- 3:14:47this job one because he's from Pittsburgh 2, because Aaron
- 3:14:51Rodgers is there and Aaron Rodgers he plans to bring back
- 3:14:55and he wants to bring in a young quarterback to play behind him.
- 3:14:57I just don't know if Simpson is the perfect fit.
- 3:15:01The only reason why he's going in this year's draft, if he went
- 3:15:04in next year's draft class, he's a third round draft.
- 3:15:07He's the third round draft pick. He is going into this year's
- 3:15:10draft pick draft draft because he is automatically a first
- 3:15:14round talent because of how bad this quarterback class is.
- 3:15:18So good for him. Sellers decided to go back.
- 3:15:22Moore decided to go back. That next year's class is
- 3:15:26loaded, absolutely loaded for quarterback.
- 3:15:29So I guess that's where The Jets will be searching for their
- 3:15:32future. Hopefully they don't search too
- 3:15:34long. Anyways, that's it for a show.
- 3:15:36Ladies and gentlemen, I want to give a shout out to Jabba
- 3:15:38Chamberlain. Hopefully he made it here in New
- 3:15:41York. OK, I will be talking to him.
- 3:15:44But Jabba will be back on Monday.
- 3:15:46For all the fans, if they're wondering where he is, he flew
- 3:15:49from Nebraska to New York. So we love you, Jabba.
- 3:15:51We'll see you on Monday. Well, at least they'll see you
- 3:15:54on Monday. I'll probably see you this
- 3:15:55weekend. But yeah, thank you to Foyer
- 3:15:59Lulican for joining us. He was fantastic.
- 3:16:01Thank you, Foyer. You always great.
- 3:16:03And everything that you gave us tonight just tells you how great
- 3:16:07of a personality you are. And maybe you don't or you
- 3:16:10haven't been interested in playing Twister.
- 3:16:12So anyways, anyways, maybe he'll play play your Twister with his
- 3:16:18wife tonight. Maybe I should, I should buy the
- 3:16:21game for him and just send it to him.
- 3:16:22That would be funny, actually. I'll be like, hey, hey foyer,
- 3:16:26can I send you a gift? I.
- 3:16:28Put Josh Allen's face instead of like a color.
- 3:16:30That's a good idea. Put Josh Allen's face on the
- 3:16:33spinning. The spinning thing, you know.
- 3:16:35Right hand Josh's face. Yeah, that's right.
- 3:16:38Now, now, now, the real question.
- 3:16:40What's more likely Foyer playing Twister with Josh Allen?
- 3:16:42Are you playing Twister with Travis the Gremlin Hunter?
- 3:16:45I think you're better off playing Foyer and Josh Allen.
- 3:16:48I. Mean honestly just don't add any
- 3:16:50water. Could you imagine me and Mikey
- 3:16:52see playing Twister? I mean.
- 3:16:55I I got kill him before the the game is over.
- 3:16:57Oh, I called. Him.
- 3:16:58I thought you were going to kill him.
- 3:16:59Man, I called it, it was yelling.
- 3:17:01I called it, it was yellow, foot on foot on foot on yellow.
- 3:17:04I'm 90% right. The the problem with Mike is,
- 3:17:07and I want, I want all the fans to understand something about
- 3:17:11Mikey C. There's a lot of me and him have
- 3:17:13a lot of love for each other, all right?
- 3:17:15We're brothers. And I've always looked up to him
- 3:17:18because he's a little bit older. And we became friends because of
- 3:17:21a friend. Mikey C is so full of shit.
- 3:17:25OK, that guy's got more shit coming out of his ass then you
- 3:17:30could probably buy. You know, when you're trying to
- 3:17:34fertilize your, your, your grass every single summer, All right,
- 3:17:38That is a bunch of dog crap. All right?
- 3:17:41He has one bets. There's no question that he has
- 3:17:44$2000. He's on drugs and as far as I'm
- 3:17:48concerned, 90%, right, 40% right.
- 3:17:51You know, when it comes to me and him betting each other, at
- 3:17:54most 40%, right? So for him to come up and say
- 3:17:58that he's 90%, right, that's a joke, That's a lie.
- 3:18:01I mean, Speedy's been around us for a while, Speedy.
- 3:18:04Nobody is 90% right. He is not 90% right and I would
- 3:18:09admit I am not. I would say I'm 60% right on a
- 3:18:13lot of my takes. I'm not always right.
- 3:18:16Well, Mikey, with our arguments over the years, I have been more
- 3:18:19right than wrong with him. OK, And if anybody goes back and
- 3:18:23listens to our show, they would admit to it.
- 3:18:25Now Mikey has this. I mean, fans have a love fest
- 3:18:28for Mikey because he likes to stick Oreo cookies up his ass.
- 3:18:31I have no idea what kind of fetish this guy has and having
- 3:18:34girls eat it out of his ass, it's pretty damn disgusting.
- 3:18:38But that's Mikey. That's his way of picking up
- 3:18:41girls. I've never heard anything like
- 3:18:43it, but that's what he brags about, so good for him.
- 3:18:46I'm not sticking Oreo cookies up my ass for nobody.
- 3:18:49Anyways, that's Mikey. But I love him.
- 3:18:51Mikey, you know I love you. But 70% right or I don't even.
- 3:18:56He said 90. I wouldn't even say 70.
- 3:18:58I would say about 35.8. All right, so I'll give you
- 3:19:02something. Anyways, that's it for a show.
- 3:19:04Ladies and gentlemen, Speedy, who do we have on next?
- 3:19:06Week. Nothing yet.
- 3:19:07Next week. All right, so we'll make an
- 3:19:09announcement when we know Thank you to all the guys that work on
- 3:19:13the show. You guys do such a great job and
- 3:19:15the show wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for all of
- 3:19:18you That goes for you scoops, obviously fish and obviously you
- 3:19:22speedy. You guys do such a a good job on
- 3:19:25on building the back end of the stuff and and making sure that
- 3:19:28the show is as professional as it possibly could be.
- 3:19:31So thank you to you guys. We love you keep up the good
- 3:19:34work. I will never I will never ever,
- 3:19:40ever, ever, ever take any pill that I don't know before a show
- 3:19:45again, because I'm going to tell you this right now.
- 3:19:48How I got through this show is beyond me.
- 3:19:51I I don't know. I am dead freaking tired and I
- 3:19:54want to go to bed right after this.
- 3:19:55So I I'm just happy I made it. I I and we ended on time too.
- 3:20:01We ended a lot earlier than we usually do, so that's a pretty
- 3:20:04good feat. So.
- 3:20:05Again, I I couldn't this show wouldn't be as great as it is
- 3:20:10and I couldn't have done it without any of you guys.
- 3:20:12So thank you to all of you guys. Thank you to the fans, thank you
- 3:20:16to everybody that tunes in and listen to our show.
- 3:20:18Jamie Lee. I know he's listening to it
- 3:20:20right now and all the fans snog all of them, all the the old
- 3:20:24fans that have followed us since the beginning.
- 3:20:27I I love you guys. I know I have my differences and
- 3:20:31I have my take towards all of you guys sometimes on and off
- 3:20:34the air. But, and, and Jeff, thank you
- 3:20:36for calling and and Mikey, see, thank you for calling for giving
- 3:20:40me all your crap. But it's it's, it's what makes
- 3:20:43this show special. And I, I, I love all of you guys
- 3:20:46and I don't want anybody to think that I, I always think I'm
- 3:20:49right. I don't think I'm always right.
- 3:20:50And I do eat crow. I don't sit there and Mikey
- 3:20:54saying that it's finally that you're eating crow really,
- 3:20:57because I've admitted many times you have never admitted when you

- 3:21:03dialing it up and and, and honestly, he should be a part of
- 3:21:07dialing up because he dialed. He'd be great if that.
- 3:21:09He'd be dialing up. He's already up.
- 3:21:12He's just stays up. Yeah.
- 3:21:14You wouldn't even need to get 5 stories, you just need to let
- 3:21:16those two just roll with the whole.
- 3:21:18Give me an axe and I'll chop them down, all right?
- 3:21:20I mean, the guy's out of his mind, all right?

- 3:21:56Stress, all stress today. And like I said, I I made the
- 3:22:00wrong decision. That's all I got to say.
- 3:22:03A really, really wrong decision. I'm telling you, when you guys
- 3:22:06were doing a sports minute, I, I just put my head back.
- 3:22:09I seriously probably would have felt Harold.
- 3:22:11Saying one of these, he's leaning.
- 3:22:12Back I was leaning back, I was closing my eyes.
- 3:22:14I was tried and foyer, you know, it's so funny because foyer when
- 3:22:18he was smirking and stuff like that, I know he was watching me
- 3:22:20close my eyes. So he didn't want to say that,
- 3:22:22but I I it's it's tiring, man. I've never felt like this
- 3:22:26before. So it feels like I'm like on a
- 3:22:28muscle relaxer and I can't even like I'm I'm surprised like my
- 3:22:33tongue's not hanging out of my mouth right now.
- 3:22:35Anyways, that's it, we will see you on Monday, until then, have
- 3:22:41a good weekend. Enjoy.
- 3:22:43Well, there's no football on this weekend because we have a,
- 3:22:46you know, Super Bowl 60 next weekend and Nathan's flying over
- 3:22:50there. So enjoy the ride and enjoy the
- 3:22:52show. You mean we got the Pro Bowl
- 3:22:54this week, don't we? A.
- 3:22:55Wonderful Pro Bowl flag football.
- 3:22:57I want to watch the door Sanders crash and burn.
- 3:23:00I mean, he was already on there. I mean, Speedy, if you were
- 3:23:03playing in the Pro Bowl, you wouldn't crash and burn.
- 3:23:05I mean, come on, these guys. Don't give me something.
- 3:23:07Don't give me. It's flag football.
- 3:23:09It's. What I say it was flag football
- 3:23:11before it was flag football. Yeah, it's it's the only flag
- 3:23:14I'm going to be wearing is the one that's going to be up my ass
- 3:23:16watching it. Anyways, that's it, ladies and
- 3:23:19gentlemen. Got to go.
