Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hello, and welcome back to your one and only source.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: We're your hosts.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Phoebe.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: And my name is Caroline.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: And said, day, we are recapping one of the great Gospel Girl episodes.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: Blair Ball, oh, sorry.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: Season one episode nine.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: Blair Waldorf, must pie.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: Not die.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, guys.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so scared of Phoebe right now.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: I literally just accidentally started to say the title of the episode and like, and like, I just felt the daggers shooting through me from Nashville, Tennessee, from through the computer screen.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: Phoebe is looking at me like, we're going to do this again.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to do this again two weeks in a fucking row, not to mention, she's, she's
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: I was really hoping I was going to be the first one in the studio today and I wasn't and it's because I got on right at one on the dot and she was like, we have to start it exactly one because I'm having a super real party today and it's like, well, one like this isn't a sports podcast.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't give a fuck.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: I know we're two Phoebe.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: You can't be mad at me.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: You can't hit me, okay?
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: I've earned a lot of goodwill with you.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: I started my own freaking show, okay, to save the podcast.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like I've earned a lot of goodwill with you, and I'm just saying you're not allowed to yell at me or be surly, for at least a week.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, I didn't do, I wasn't, I wasn't mad or surly.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, Phoebe, it's on a video podcast, so they didn't see that you were actually holding a dagger.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't want to say it was part.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: It was bloody already.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, Phoebe, what Phoebe show me the room behind?
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: How good is my text last night that Happy Dagger would have been such a good band name for like an Emo 2000s.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know what, I missed that text, it's just not to me in the loud girls.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay, sorry.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, Phoebe and I were up until the early hours of the morning trading conspiracies.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: So it must have been a loss in between all the the videos of Anthony and I were discussing how on earth Shakespearean love is Gwyneth Paltrose Oscar.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: more anybody's for that matter.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't even know that I've seen the movie Shakespeare and love, but I wasn't the play, so that counts for something.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: I was, it's leaving Netflix soon.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I had that on while I was doing stuff last night.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: Never forgot when I was in the play Shakespeare and love, and the set fell down during the show.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: and it wasn't the play that goes wrong and it it was not the way it goes wrong and this had literally never happened before and it wasn't a rinky dink theater let me tell you and I know there are people listening who were involved with the show or so I don't really have a touch no I don't think it was sabotage but I am just saying like
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: this at the hold on during the show and and it was an eye line he was there.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: It was an eye line he was there and we had to pause the show and like stop the show so that we could fix the set and I if I remember correctly liney left during this break because it was just like taking too long and I think I met up with her after but I
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: And if line is listening I'm sure I'll hear about if that's not what happened but for some reason I feel like that is what happened.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: This was also the show where we had a dog actor who was in heat and I learned what that actually means for Sally Carson.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: like Sally Carson.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that's what they kept multiple people on the other way.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: Sally Carson from southern charm is what Phoebe's talking about.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, personal friend, but a distant enemy.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: But everyone, but believe me, everyone knows a Sally Carson.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: She was talking to Molly on the after show, and they were like, you were dog and heat for Austin.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: Diabolical pairing by the way in the after show separately, Madison said it to Craig used the same term about Sally at that party.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's probably because Sally's self-described herself that way because she thinks it's cute and funny for some reason.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: She probably actually said, we probably just haven't seen it yet, but probably at the dinner table that weekend, she said, I'm like a dog and he, when Austin gets up into the bathroom and she says, do you need some help with that?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, and you need to be put down, girl, hey, hey, dog and he, you need to be put down.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Where's the youth in Asia specialist on the property?
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: That was the same.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, it's, I mean, the body's not cold.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: I was hate us.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: I also don't love.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: I also don't like at that point, he knows you know.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: He literally, and I'm sorry, I would melt into a puddle never be seen again if if I said this to a man I see was getting up to the bathroom and he was like chill and he was like stop or whatever Like he basically was like what the like enough and she's like hey So anyway, if you haven't watched Southern Charm you probably should That was not a concept or not today though.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: The last thing I want to say before we start just because it's always On my mind and I need to put it into a microphone when I may least favorite things in TV shows
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: or movies and tell me lies is what makes me think this is I hate when there's a great needle drop at the end of a show or something and a credit start and it's not on it's not edited to be on beat the credits should be on beat.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: When it's not the like cascading credit.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's when it's just like the boot.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Not like when it's like Megan Oppenheimer and it's like it wouldn't take that much more effort at all the effort you put into editing this.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, they're tools like Tik Tok will do that for you.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: I checked up with it.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: Truly do it for you.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: How did we, how do we not think that you want that with this episode with no lead a fairy tale at the end?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Because the drums it would, well, the show soon.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: This, when you listen to a lead a fairy tale by Vanessa Carlson, you also must be doing the Grinch.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Uh-huh.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: You must be doing that when you do the drums.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think it with this only because I feel like awesome girl.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know what I'm getting with the end credits.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's always going to be that song.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that one and Carolyn, yeah, I thought that's actually that's got to be a real because that would be It's never gonna be a real because I make the rules and I don't want this face released Well Like it's for you and me.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's some things can be sacred, Phoebe.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so things to be sacred anyway It's gonna get all my chest.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: It really bothers me to tell me lies when the music on the show is so good
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's the only thing I can imagine that could bother you about that show.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, so I know we're a broken record.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: We always talk about how people are annoyed with us, but I just want to quickly follow up on our combo from last week.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: One, thank you guys so much for all of you who were like, don't stop the tangents.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for filling in love with us.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, thank you for filling up with the people behind the microphones.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not just like the subject matter, but also I do just need to say like,
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: if you want to know what we're talking about then you need to watch Tommy Lies because an article was just released.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: I want to say it was the guardian that was like rating the most toxic television boyfriends and Steven Demarco is obviously number one from Tommy Lies.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: Chuck passes on the list.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's worth discussing the list on a Tuesday episode.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean that was a like if you want to be part of that conversation then you just need to like at least I mean rush up on Tommy Lies and if you haven't watched it yet you're actually missing
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: It took me like a second to get into it.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's so good.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait for Tuesday every week.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: Me too.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: And it comes quicker than I always think it well.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think get to the weekend and I'm like, oh, I'm cheap.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: So Clay, now, literally, I'm like, not me wanting the work week to start.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I can check in with my, my girl loose eating.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, it's not really my girl.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't claim her.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't claim her.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'll say, as a little precursor to that.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: Steven Demarco is unlike any, Steven Demarco long on the list because he's not, like, at the end of the day, Steven Demarco is a true, like psychopath.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like he, and that's not dramatic.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't think he's capable of love on hurting people.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: And he's a lesbian.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: He is a literal like there's not a single redeeming quality about him.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even think he's really cute enough to act the way he acts, but I think that's part of it, too.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: When I first was watching and I would see everybody be like, we all have a Stephen Demarco.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, you do?
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, we don't.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: And if you do, I hope you have a good therapist because maybe maybe the first season I'm like, okay.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: We all have a guy who fucked us up or like a partner who has fucked us up in our lives.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: But then you see what you see that everyone has a Stephen looking at like every episode you're like how could someone be more deplorable?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: And for those of you that believe that Chuck Bass is the most toxic TV boyfriend.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: Honey got a big storm coming like you have another thing coming and that's I think it's hard to be watching gossip girl and like all this chatter about how much people like especially with the announcement of the Blair novel which we're also going to be discussing on a Tuesday episode next week.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: but with the introduction of this novel, which so exciting, so many people are like, I hope Blair is divorced Chuck.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we're going to get into like, when we talk about it, we're going to talk about, because in the book, Blair doesn't end up with Chuck.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: So that probably is like he's probably not going to be part of her stories, but I do also want to talk about it as though it were Blair TV 20 years, because I just think that would be fun too, so we can kind of talk about both.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: But so many people are like, oh my god, please tell me she's not with Chuck.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well,
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's why the books are superior and it's like, yeah, but it's really hard to like watch the show in tandem with tell me lies and feel like Chuck Bass is like as bad as I agree as bad as he is, but it's just like we like to think of this show as brands It is like your mother's worst nightmare and tell me lies exists In a post I mean, hey, gossip girl walks so tell me lies could rock no 100% All right, like
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: And this is just Serena, if she, I was just going to say that, I was just going to say this is like Serena.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: She's very Serena coded.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: If she had, if she had gotten mixed up with someone like Steven Demarco, and it had actually like, and she had and had a family to like buy her out of it and get her out of these situations.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: But I still, and this is crazy.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: I still think Lucy's more likable than Serena.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Serena drives me fucking crazy.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: Serena, that makes sense.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, that's like when Lucy's like being normal with her friends and she's not making the worst decisions on planet earth, it's like, okay, that's a girl that I like sat next to in college and like was nice fish, you know, I guess I mean, but like Serena could be that girl tale.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's I wouldn't like Serena.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I just, we were limiting the interaction to just a girlized hat next to one class.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like she'd be like the popular girl that would be really nice to you and you'd be like, oh, she's nice, but then if you actually saw her at a party, you would be like, I can't.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I could see Serena and I think this comes from their upbringing.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you're right to say, I could see like, you being like you, like, and I was like, and shots fired again.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: And here comes the bloody dagger again.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I don't know if you think, are you going to wash your hands?
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: You are covered in blood.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy, crazy.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: We're coming to your hosting.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: You're hosting a Super Bowl party.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: I just killed them.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Why is that whole house wrapped in plastic wrap?
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like, TV, what?
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Going on.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: Fresh.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Everything you're making is fresh.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: You know what that?
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: What kind of meat are you using?
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Just going to know what?
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: Add some bunnies.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Now that we've learned that there are people who do eat human beings, this is what I'm not like my army hammer right away, which stay tuned for him and gospel girl, but I think that Serena would like show up late to class, Lucy's on time to class.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Serena is how do you know Lucy's on time because, because he's, hey, Lucy's on time.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: And one thing about Lucy, say what you will about her, she's on time to class.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't bet you that Lucy's going through enough mentally that she's not going to go I just mean Serena's personality and Lucy's personality before all this is happening to her
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: take anything that's happened to either of them out of the mix, Lucy's showing up to class on time, and Serena's like, Waltzine in with a coffee, and like, doesn't have a bag or a note, like, she's enchanted.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the Serena, who's not dating Dan Humphrey, but because they're both male-centered women, Serena is basing her whole existence and her priorities on who she's dating.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: So for her right now, Dan thinks it's hot that she did her English homework.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's Serena's good.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: you're 100% right.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: She's showing up to class buzzed and late.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, I forgot about the like intermittent flashbacks in this episode.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great episode.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: I always think I don't like the first thing.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: See, I mean, up to so because I think you always picture the Jason Derville episode.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_00]: However,
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: This is a really good episode.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's cold and it's like they did.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen this in over the same time and no one else just mentioned of her and it and it clocks.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: It makes sense.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: I this episode, I've seen it a zillion times and it, I have it memorized basically.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's just it's so good again.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's honestly kind of a good episode for Serena.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: If we're going to be honest, like true, we're she actually is like a good friend for once.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: And like it's also a really it's a good episode for Eleanor.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: We really get into the Blair and Eleanor relationship and learn more and like I just I just have so much more empathy for the walldoers than I do for the Vanderwitzens.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: Even though like as the show goes on, we're going to learn so much about the Vanderwitzens.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's like
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: will make us have some empathy, I'm sure, but right now, I'm just like save their water.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I think could have happened in an alternate timeline is Serena meets Allison and is like immediately obsessed in like my God once it's been all her time over at that house and like wishes Allison was her mom.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a timeline where Rufus and Lily did or did not.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: Did.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but I just mean like I could see maybe maybe Serena doesn't find out that that happens.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I could see Serena like hating Lily so much or wanting to hate her and thinking Alice in a so cool and like, well, yes.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, like, I could see it happening in this timeline.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: If she just hadn't met her this way, well, I just mean in an alternate timeline that isn't the show.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: I give the show one differently.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but even I'm like, even in this timeline.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's true mom-off.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: I could just agree in a being like, I'm doing it.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you know what I'm saying?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like I could see her actually after this Thanksgiving meal being like, I don't know there or something.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think she's really cool.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: I want to get to know her.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Mom, I can learn a lot from her.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're going to support me in Dan, then like, if you support me in Dan, then you'll support us too.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: I have to go.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, um, we get and I have to go this episode.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: You sure, Dale.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, how funny was that Nate real that I shared with him just, what?
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, what?
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: What is it?
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: He is the Toby of this show and something else.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: And then when it goes like, yeah, he is when it goes to just his faces, it's like such up and in this real was uploaded like 11 years ago, our taste Crawford has,
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: has minimal facial expressions.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: And he's in his pool.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's funny when he's the moment he's laying in the bed.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, what happened when we left so hard.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like good guy name anyway.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: So we open up with a good old Thanksgiving montage and big news, gossip growth's taking the day off.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: gossip growth's taking the day off.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: And she is going to enjoy Thanksgiving, but she does say that when the cats away, the mice will freaking play.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: So just because she's in runs.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: She did.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: Holy shit.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: She didn't know she said when the cats away the mice will play be something little rodents.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: Little rodents.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, oh, you know what?
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: I remember that line now because when I was thinking, oh, you're gonna name this podcast.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: That little rodents.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not kidding you came up in my head because I was like, oh, that's like I was like that could be a patreon tier or something the little rodents because that is like something that people got into from this, but then I totally forgot that.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: Here we are.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: But you didn't like that.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: So here we are.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: You're on in the least worst.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and yeah, as TV mentioned, like throughout this episode, we get all these flashbacks to Thanksgiving a year ago when life was much simpler.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: We get like simpler.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: I move the time.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: I move the title.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a twilight filter.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like not the pretty little layers filter because it's not like a glow.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's like,
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's twilight.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like this.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: And promiscuous girl starts playing.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, just an epic, like right out of the Thanksgiving montage where it's like idyllic and beautiful.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: Boom.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: Nelly for Tato, promiscuous girl Serena's wasted and she's exiting a bar or Blair just had to come pick her up.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: Serena was supposed to be getting pies for Thanksgiving, but instead, she's freaking wasted at all the moms you're freaking out.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: She's like wasted, wasted.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: last year.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and they're welcome.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: It was crazy.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: It was.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: He might have been someone else's boss.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you should just say thank you.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's just a word to the wise.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Just a tip.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: She is.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my God.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm using.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: This is turning into an etiquette etiquette book referencing episode.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, again.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Here we are.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, who loves the etiquette book by Emily Post?
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: Anthony?
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: Blair Waldorf.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I thought that it was going to be like someone in your real life.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now Blair Waldorf and Anne Archibald.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, and I don't understand how Serena is so drunk the entire episode.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: She keeps drinking, I guess.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, she must.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: Where's she faking?
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: She's a prideful junk than she is all the time.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: She's definitely that girl.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but there's only because she even and even to be, and then she grows into someone who is just like, that's a joke.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: She's lost her purse, of course.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: So Blair is going to go look for it.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: And as she goes to look for it, one, Mr. Lonely Boy, Dan Humphrey locks that up a pie shop.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's in the phone with his mom.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: He got the pies, and he watches us to Rina just swilly nilly.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: Walt's is in a traffic almost gets hit by three different cars.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: it's crazy and he goes to help her out of the way and it's like what does he say he likes saves her from this cabin he goes right of way and I'm like actually I don't see a crosswalk Dan like that is so like a man that's just what Dan has a lot of lines like not this episode yeah he had a couple lines that were actually jaw dropping to me what he had the way that he
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh, Phoebe, me too.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, if I'm Serena, I'm like, change in plans, Dan, get the hell out.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: Dan, get the hell out, and on the way out, read this.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: And she throws as hard as you can.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: They edit it, book it flies through the wall.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, and on your way down, tell the door, man, we need her a pair of man up here in the penthouse.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: There's an Emily post-sized hole in the wall.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so Dan like saves her whatever and then Serena calls a cab notices the dropped pies in the street and is all sad about them And Dan mortifying introduces himself he's like I'm Dan she's like I'm Serena and he's like well, we actually am at last year and she's like
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, saved by the wall to our flare coming up.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: She's a teacher hands off of our taking advantage of her on a high holy holiday.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: Who are you?
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God, you're from Brooklyn, aren't you?
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: I just got a whip of the Brooklyn water.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: Authorine again, the cab.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: And she says, by Dave.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: So now, fast forward a year later.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: My tongue was just shaking.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: Serena's in a cab still, but this time,
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: She's for a joint work.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: I've been in sciving.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: She's like that.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, her was in sciving down.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: She says this might be the first things getting I remember and he goes, I bet I'm a little bit like Yeah, that was a crazy line, but also so funny that she's like, right?
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's like baiting her.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, come on.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: I know you remember now that he's spending his time together I'm like, wait.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: That was you.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: Dave is Dan.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's not what happens But what I will say is Serena your only like 16
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: When she says, let's go back into the bar and get shots and the flashback, I'm like, and in this time you're like, what 14?
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: And also, what do you mean, like, that means you were drinking at 11 and blocking at the end of the Thanksgiving?
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she's like, they're really traumatic things giving us for me, of course, and our black them all out.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's not.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, but I'm right.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you, and you know what?
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: Mom will be happy to hear you say that because that is one of Mom's main gripes with the show.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sorry.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: It is completely unrealistic.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: And it's completely unbelievable.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: They're teens.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: They're not 21.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: You're drinking at a bar.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: 30 more teeny.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think they say this and the that last episode of the show and they do like the recap of everything.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the documentary kind of.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: They say a lot of the research they did was like
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: This is how these teens work.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: Mom, it doesn't make sense to hate to bring to you, but they live differently in New York.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: Regular folk like us.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, regular regular suburban folk like us.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: Good on us, suburban folk like us.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, um, so Serena's like, all right, I'm going to players and she's like, it's going to be great.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: Her dad's going to be home for the first time since he left.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have a great Thanksgiving and dance like, oh, I'm going to have a great one.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: She's my mom's here.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, things are growing great.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: So we go to the Humphrey loft.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: And hate this beginning part, Jenny, it's Thanksgiving.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: Fuck, Jenny relax.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm also like, okay, so Allison's an almond mom.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's clear.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm, you know what, I'm going to say something problematic here.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: Good thing Allison was in Blair, while we're small, because obviously there have been a lot of conversations about how much heavy cream is appropriate.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: Let me just say the limit doesn't exist, Jenny goes.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: Jenny goes, um mom, do you think that's a lot of heavy cream?
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: She goes, is it really okay to cook with this much heavy cream?
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: What would not be okay about it?
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's not on pat.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's not ballerina farm raw milk.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you're going to be fine.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: And Allison goes, our arteries give us a pass on turkey day.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: Pate, also, no, they don't.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: Arteries don't have calendars.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, everybody knows that, Allison.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: You sound ridiculous.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: You want to say, sound so dumb right now.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's a damn bit of a song.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's a shit.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Pate there.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: Pate there.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: It has to be like, um, Alice.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Alice.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I remind you, Arteries don't have calendars.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: She goes her owl for sure.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: Ow.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: Ali.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, she goes her owlie.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: for sure.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Ali, you know.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Arder is not a calendar, is he?
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: No, she has to say it more condescending.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: Ali, sorry.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: I like how Phoebe's cute.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm giving you notes.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Phoebe's giving me direction and waiting.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: Phoebe, 100% it was like, no.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: Don't try that.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: Try with that.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see if you can take your action.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: Ali, Arder is not a calendars.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I'll keep working on it.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so Allison bought way too much food.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: There's so much food, but it's a good thing because you're gonna have some unexpected freaking guests.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: Allison, if you didn't want the Vander Woods in Klandish, you'll up here, you shouldn't have bought so much freaking food.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: And also, so much sort of stepped in when Dan said, I'm gonna invite my girlfriend of two months over for Thanksgiving.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: Also, guys, I think it's crazy to me, so you don't want's to go.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: They can come here, but they're going to be working.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: Let me, but I don't know.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: We need to know where they're going to be working.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: We could use the extra pairs of hands.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: If they've got calluses on them, because if they're not working, girl hands, and I don't want to see them here, OK?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: We've got work to be done.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, Dan is like, well, actually mom, they call that guilt.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: You overbying.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: They call that guilt.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: Dan is not going to let his mom off the freaking hug.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: He's just a lot.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, the whole Lilly thing to happen for Dan to absolve his mother of a single thing.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_00]: Someone has just been like worse.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: Which is valid to me.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Jenny wants it to work so badly.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: I understand why Jenny, and she's the younger sibling, it makes sense.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: But like, Dan, and I also think it's becoming clear that Allison used Dan as a pawn in the situation a little bit.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he probably, that makes the situation even worse for him, like he had to see his mom in a different way.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: and Jenny can so kind of have that idealized version of her.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yes.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: Also, well, it's like that no offense.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: That eldest child thing where it's like Dan's going to like, Dan's going to feel those feelings so that Jenny can like live a little bit in her, like undiluted happiness because whatever, but like Dan might be
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: because of the birth order or he might, whatever.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, he's also wearing a vest.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so Blair is where we're back to.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: We should do an episode of Tuesday episode one time where we pair up pretty little liars characters and gossip girl characters and here they would date if they were on the same unit love it.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: Love it.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, sure.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, great, right down put in the shared note.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so Blair is looking for her dad's famous pumpkin pie recipe, which actually is Bobby Flee is pumpkin pie recipe, but her dad took it and she's like so excited.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's really cute.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, it's gonna be perfect.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: She's just giddy.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: Overall.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't understand.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't understand how it hasn't come up yet that she's not coming.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I wonder if Eleanor just wanted it to look like, oh well, he knows showed like how could he do that to you like I think she wanted that but I just don't know how like she didn't hear something around that like it just feels like.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: you would already it would already make sense.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this is a good episode for Eleanor and I think the end is, but she does a few things where I'm like, you're just doing that to be nasty to Blair because she still loves no to totally, no to totally.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, and I yeah, you know, you're right.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a good episode for her as a mother.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's more like gives us insight.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, like it's like it gives us a little bit of like,
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's a good episode in terms of like character development and like understanding her and then also Blair and like and it gives and it does get like it I do have empathy for her.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: at the end.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: And on it, like, God, it just would be so hard.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_00]: But I do feel like at the end, like, and throughout, like, I do feel like we see how much she loves Blair in moments, where even Blair's dad, like, does it, like, later on when we get to the first thing of, like, the eating.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: And Blair's now, it's like, she's fine, like whatever an Eleanor is obviously like losing sleep over this and it's like, he's not and it's like, well, obviously you're not because you were able to just leave and not come back, like, you weren't worried, you know, so, but Eleanor has been here having to like, make sure that your child is okay and it's hard to do because she's also like working and beat like, you know, so anyway.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: So she's a great line because Serena's like, wow, like you're excited and there's like I'm in a good mood.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: It happens sometimes because I increase my legs so probably I'll end sometimes because my dad's in town.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: And Serena's like, and sometimes mostly because things are good with a boy.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: I understand where Serena's coming from, but I just and like, I feel you could have seen how this goes.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, did you have to confront Blair about it?
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: on Thanksgiving, which is clearly like her favorite day was like are you trying to like burst her bubble like you see that she's in such a good mood and you're like well let me bring this up and especially when she's like to do a naked back together because like Serena you know that they did it like you saw Blair and Chuck so like you know she's not back with me and and so what is this like there's zodiac sign she's born in November
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: Scorpio before.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: I see that for her.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think she's a Scorpio, but I'll confirm.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_00]: So Serena's like, well, okay, then how's Chuck and Blair was like, why would I know?
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, anything about that.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: And Serena's like, Blair, where you were friends?
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, anything, I'd be the last to judge anyone and for good reason with good reason.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: Which I love, I'm like, and like, yeah, Blair Teller.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is she ever, you know?
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder how catch you judging, and anybody ever, girl, like, after the things we know.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: And like, you're lucky you have to see it the world or Thanksgiving table.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: Bestie, like, I've, Blair, honestly, better woman than me.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Zisterine is like, hey, Blair, I saw you with Chuck.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: And Blair goes, okay, I sucked with him twice, like, whatever.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: And Zisterine is like, you slept with him?
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: two times what and she's like so grossed out and she's like I thought you wanted to make things special and Blair is a great point here.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: She goes, so Nick gets a free pass and I'm the slut and I didn't realize didn't they lose his virginity to Serena at the Shepherd wedding?
- 31:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's what she's implying but I don't but I guess because he's only dated Blair.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, you're right.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to believe that, but like, I guess so.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: But then he did make that comment.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and maybe this was just him trying to be mature, mature, but at the Shabbard wedding when the champagne pops to early and he said that never happens to me.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: It felt like something you would say if you had already been in a such a like, yeah, maybe he was trying to like, but it came out to smooth.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he's just had a confidence to him or him.
- 32:14[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: This could also he's best friend will check bass and I'm just playing devils advocate and I'm like He could so easily just like recite the thing is he'll show that me and he's best friends with Bass he could have just lost his virginity to someone random.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying like it just doesn't seem like But good point if he's been with Blair.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean here we are Thinking that he wouldn't cheat on her, but I don't think they but she don't play with his anybody I think he cheated with Serena, but I don't get the vibe that he would like
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: really, he just like honestly doesn't even seem that interested in girls, like he just think it's still really, he's just interested in justice.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, like he's like I'm actually dating a law.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so anyway, restrained as like I feel like you did this for revenge, and Blair is like, well, it's not because I like Chuck's natural mask.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: And hey, nothing hurts more than sleeping with the best friend, right?
- 33:04[SPEAKER_00]: And like, yeah, again, Serena, I would fucking watch myself and hasn't been that long.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's only November, the school year started end of August beginning of September.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_00]: And Serena has to Blair just found out really still.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: Serena and she's given you a lot of room.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: Serena says, we're gonna create granted.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: Look how quickly we forgot.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: The All Straps Center, but like, yeah, I did.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I forgot that.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so did everybody else.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: Well, sorry, like Serena, keep bringing it up.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: Blair, always bring it up with you, Dan.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: You exactly, if you want us to remember, you gotta remind us, okay?
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so then they're fully fighting in the kitchen and blurs like, what are you jealous?
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't get to sleep with him first.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: There had to be some on left on the upper east side.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: Zing!
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: They almost cried out of bringing Zing, and he was like, er, that's when she says, way to prove it.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: Eleanor.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_00]: Eleanor walks in.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: Why learned from the master, but Blair said Serena and then Serena says, well, it looks like the student has become the master.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay, I'm grasshopper.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: So Eleanor walks in and she's like, what is your mother arriving?
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: And Serena's like, she's not.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: And she gets her bag.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, we're actually not having it here.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: And Eleanor's like, why?
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: And there says, because they uninvited them.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then she waves goodbye to Serena.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, someone asked a question and about my party.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a kind of afraid and kind of afraid no one's gonna come.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: really?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: I just always get that stressed feeling, you know, that you make people RSVP like, yeah, but you know how it is day up sometimes.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it was definitely sent me a list of the people that know show.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to see and in guys if you're listening to this and you're like, oh my god, I was one of the no shows and I didn't go then just know.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: I heard about it.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: And y'all get your retribution.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know shall my kids sister Super Bowl party if you know what's good for you.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait because ultimately I just know my heart of hearts.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think I have to raise my family and Pittsburgh.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I can't...
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that is amazing news.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait till we all have families and we can have a big a Super Bowl party at one of our families It's right of course How's been in your dogs?
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: That I mean all of us when all of us have families and I mean we can have a we're gonna have a massive Super Bowl party
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay, you're in the haunted house I'm buying right by the way There's nothing wrong if your house overlooks a cemetery It's actually means they're looking over you.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: They're watching over you want to in a sweet wet nerdy for jokes Think of the jokes I will tell like think of the jokes with like, oh my god, come on over You want to say the night say the night here and and it's really good because we have really quiet neighbors Then that's So clever what's another joke you have about it
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, um, when I met the neighbor who lives next door, he was like, I'm not used to hearing voices here.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: He said, well, I bet you're not, I said, I bet that's actually kind of scary.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: Your voice as he needs it.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, well, so that's like because there's like a hearing or a cemetery right there.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: And he was like, oh my god, he goes, he goes, you know what?
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: I never noticed that.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then that is, I was like,
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: We're actually going to build a shoot from our house just straight to the cemetery and he said, well, if we move in, we might be asking a borrow it.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy that he never realized he lived across the street from like the cemetery.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's a pretty cemetery.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_00]: It would honestly be good for business.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: And guess what, I'll think of new jokes.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my, I only wanted to talk about it once.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: If you do lessons out of your, out of that, I'm not always, too.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: And you, on Halloween, you can like have it be like, you can make it soon.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_00]: Halloween will go kind of crazy.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to put, I'm getting a 12-foot skeleton if I let move into the haunted house.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: And, and I'm going to put it on the other side of the street.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm, I'm going to have fun with it.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: Just so you all know,
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: If I live on it with you, what if you like put some kind of like criminal jumpsuit on the skeleton?
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: And he had a sign that said, I escaped.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm actually going to do, Holly, and I am just going to build that show.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna build that shoot, the skeleton, and I'm gonna build a shoot from the salarium and to the cemetery.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm gonna put a 12 foot skeleton starting to crawl back up through the shoot.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be glass, everyone can see it.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, oh, no.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: John, I just don't like, I, as someone who, you know, it's frequently welcomed into places that are habituated by ghosts.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like, I'm not worried about them, like, they know me.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it's a word.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_00]: I noticed once I said it and I actually thought you were going to call me on it And now we've drawn more attention to it, so there's somebody definitely will, but I'm gonna I'm just I just don't really care that every room looks so weird.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a dairy like It's not like I'm like it's not like it the children's hospital If I was in a hospital sure don't have me overlooking it
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't, I don't think it means, I don't think so.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: It means what does it mean?
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: Make or become accustomed or used to something.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: So the example is she had habituated the chimps to humans.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so I like to become a bit too late to go to my first class and also, you know, I'll say this Anthony doesn't even believe in ghosts.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_00]: Bad for business by the way of bad for business, but he isn't believing them.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_00]: So like it's so not and also the real term was like I like walk into house and I was like mom's gonna have a big issue with this and she was like with what I was like a cemetery and she was like, oh, why?
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like he was like weird turn.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, oh, I don't know.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: She's kind of like, whoa, whoa, like I don't know like like I told mom about this and she was like, well, you know you have to hold your breath when you drive by a cemetery I'm like mom, have you been doing that?
- 39:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's a long road.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: He wants a long road.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: The last thing I'm gonna say is
- 39:20[SPEAKER_00]: about words and it is that I saw a picture of the other day of a fifth grade teacher who said part of the fun of being a teacher like an elementary school teacher is you can just teach your kids any word you want and they'll learn how to use it and she said the other day I taught them what the word pedantic meant and now they can't stop saying it.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_00]: They'll like call each other when they're pedantic.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: Pedantic
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, that's cute.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_00]: I know, and I'm like, well, I never thought about it.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that was you related.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: You can't just teach kids.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: You can mold minds.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's what I do every day by the way.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm more funny.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_00]: I love, but I do more of the pop culture stuff.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm like, oh, I don't know about this.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I dull them, and they're like, I didn't know.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, yeah, well, now you do.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: And don't tell anyone, I've talked to that.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, also the other thing I'm going to say about that is,
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: When I was in first grade, mom and dad thought it would be like, I don't know why they wanted me to do this, but they just thought it would be cool if I knew how to spell polypropylene.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: Walter Wright.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: So they taught me how to, I don't even know what it is.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: They taught me how to tell me.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_00]: I literally think they'd say it.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: And P.O.L.I.P.R.O.P.Y.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: Ellie, any size baller.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember going to school to my teacher Mrs. Valazak, and I said, guess what?
- 40:36[SPEAKER_00]: I know how to solve polypropylene.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: And she said, okay, then do it.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: She didn't believe me, and I didn't, and she was like, well, she was then I was like, but why did they want me to learn how to spell that?
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's such a weird word.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if I need to sort of be an IQ test or something.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_00]: Never needed to know it by the way.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: No one's ever asked me to spell it without me knowing how.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't believe I prompts at that.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: I practically begged her to ask me if you were the talent show that's your job.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, how annoying was I the moment I was like, in tomorrow you go to school and you know how to spell this way?
- 41:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh my god, I must okay.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it was part of an IQ test.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm still wondering why the GIEP guy gave me a lower shot test.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: Still wondering about that.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know they gave me a lower shot test elementary school.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: And some of them were no good idea.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: The ink blots.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he has practice in.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that you're allowed to just practice with that kind of a test on a kid without like parental concern.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: Is it a bad test?
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's a test.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a it's a test.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: They would give people who have like things wrong with them.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's like it's not hasn't haven't anything to do with IQ.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's like what do you see in this and that's going to tell me a lot about like what's happened to you or what's gone on in your life or what kind of person you are you psycho path like I remember learning about an api psych which I don't I don't understand that and just been like what well it's like your sub it's like your subconscious like what do you see.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_00]: And usually there are like options, you know those like those like optical illusions We're like if you look at it this way like what do you see and then like to pinging on what you see It's like the part of your brain that like whatever I think that's what it is, but I just remember so distinctly this man giving me this task I remember the room I was in I remember doing it and then I like asked mom about it one day like years later And she's like what no one ever thought I was like
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they didn't even know about it and they're wondering if he was like studying to like he needed hours for like wait That's what I mean by practice, but I still think that's weird Don't use me as your guinea pig.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: I guess, but I mean, it's not like he like Did it did it freak you out.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so thinking about it I don't know like no, I just think it's weird.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't give a suit in a rush or it has without like But I feel like it's
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what did he do with that info?
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, what did you find?
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's true.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: Cause guess what?
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe some of us would have like to know that.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good point.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: But I know if he had seen something disturbing, he wouldn't have.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then he was like, I can't tell anybody that I did this test on her because these responses are crazy.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna be like, how did you know those?
- 43:17[SPEAKER_00]: If he had, he would have had, I think that if something really disturbing came through, he would have had to report it.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: Cause what's the, the secretic oath?
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: Unless he lied.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he wasn't in yet.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's doing his hours, allegedly.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on to you, Mr. Opa.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on to you.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it was Mr. Opa.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_00]: Mr. Opa.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, sweet guy.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: I changed things.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you're like, now I have about feeling about this.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was like a guy who came into the school into it.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_00]: That would be way scarier, no.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: But that, again, why I'm like,
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: Was he just allowed to like test the kids brains and see what's going on in there?
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: Probably.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: You were supposed to be checking my IQ, which by the way, Mom, still waiting to hear what it is.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I will not take another IQ test because I want to be changed and I don't want that to happen.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: They always say it can't.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I'm like, right.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: I made it.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I- I
- 44:32[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, okay, mom, you really know Caroline.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: Things like mom, mom, keep your humor.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: You really want to meet a one-of-the-now.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_00]: Because it might just say like that.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Your IQ is so high, Caroline.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost men's level, but I'm not going to tell you what it is, because I don't want you to brag.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to brag even more now.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to bring this up all the time.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what my mom won't even tell me on my IQ as that's how high it is.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I started saying.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I still do.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I'm still saying that.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, let's lock in.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_00]: We're back to last year.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sorry.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_00]: We're back to last year's Thanksgiving.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's freaking happy.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: Serena's drunk at the table.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_00]: Blair's dad is here.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_00]: Eleanor comes in and she offers Blair a can of pay.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: What is that?
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_00]: But by the way, in the last one, Serena has been the van of wood since have been uninvited from Thanksgiving.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: We said this.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_00]: Say is, how does the kid get to make that decision?
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, true.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_00]: Well, oh, sorry.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: We did say, yeah, that they were on a beta.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: I skipped a little bit.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're right.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: But now they're in Chinatown, Serena, Lillian, Erick aren't Chinatown because all the other shops are closed and they're trying to figure out what they're going to eat.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: Lillian picks up a pumpkin.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: She goes, this is festive, yes?
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: Look, when it's the plan, it's so funny to me.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then Dan calls Serena.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, hey, what's up?
- 45:52[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, Dan, you're in the room with your entire family.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: Don't call your girlfriend.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I do just have to say,
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: these kids are ungrateful.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: Chinese food on any day would be great.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: You're in China town, New York City, and you're complaining about the peaking duck you might be eating.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: I bet you're going to be fucking amazing.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, relax, relax.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: Relax.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: Day though, I have a little fit if we weren't going to have like what I like to have on Thanksgiving.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's something like, I like to eat what I know I like to eat on Thanksgiving.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really like doing like those kind of meals with other families because it's like we have different spreads and like, I just, I didn't want to learn.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and older, I get the more I learn that I'm a little bit picky.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think that it's an OCD thing though because I get like really freaked out.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like if I don't kind of know what it's going to taste like, Mom's like, I'm, I don't like, I don't like.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: Mom says I'm picky, but I think I'm just particular.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think I know what I like.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're picky and sorry You're gonna hate this stubborn because you are like, no, no, no, and I'm not saying it's about thing because I'm the same way, but I just know you're not gonna like to hear it, but, okay, hard truth.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that's what this is for.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's what this is for.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's what this is for.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that I feel like you'll be like, I'm never eating like I'm trying to think of something that you like didn't like the now you really like what I mean to the lie cheese that I eat every day.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's okay perfect.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_00]: Those two things that I fucking love by the way and Phoebe like for the longest time was just like no no, it's just like an absolute no and like no one can get her to try it unless she has made up her mind that she's interested
- 47:34[SPEAKER_00]: And he actually can get me to do it with us literally or anything and really can get me to do literally anything but yeah, so I feel like But then you'll like really really like it like if I have one bad opportunity one bad moment with a type of food That's it like I had I ate and all of when I was a kid and in the first house we lived the house that you famously ran out of when I was in the room with you And you left and went to the square to go to scoops So do you guys see how I met fall in that story car like I was literally watching me you know who's a fault dad
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: You were like one year old and I can't even believe you were walking and I was I was doing what six year old's do which is watch TV And you I don't know like you were getting ice cream anyway.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: I was like I We were doing something for us.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: We find out that you would have to meet I didn't ask you you brought it up and I was like sure you remember should
- 48:27[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't remember it.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: I remember opening the door and there you were.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember being like, I'm gonna get it.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is a bad day for me.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: You think you opened the door?
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine you had a doll, a doll, a doll brought you back to the house and opened the door and it's another little kid alone.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: He was probably like, what is going on here?
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: You opened the door, you see me and you're like, I'm like, push it, pull, wait, what?
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, where's the fucking ice cream?
- 48:53[SPEAKER_00]: Did you get, you didn't at least take her to finish the job?
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, we'll go back and come.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_00]: At least now you have a wallet.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, okay, you think it's weird that she was walking there?
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: Give her a ride then.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay, so we actually exercise here.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: we like exercise here.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: Caroline Caroline was like, if you be, you were this right on that situation, you was your damn hungry.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: You kind of need to, you kind of need to eat good ones.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're, you're, you're, they keep saying it's baby fat, but I don't know, I'm not sure what it is.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_00]: She's not stalking, so I don't know like what?
- 49:26[SPEAKER_00]: Also, how are you in order?
- 49:27[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, why am I in it?
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, but you were the Serene of Andre, what's in he was your damn hungry.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_00]: And not situation.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because you were walking in the street and he was like, whoa, right of way.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then you brought you back here.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe you were like a dog with a collar.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like how did he find out where you live?
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: Someone told me.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think I think someone saw him.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_00]: No, you did as someone on the street was like, oh, she belongs there.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: She's on that.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: She's from that house.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, when I've lived in that house, I tried an olive.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_00]: We're same, I like.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_00]: We're seeing the day that P.B.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to get that face.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_00]: What kind of olive?
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like a black olive?
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: I honestly don't remember, but I think it was a black olive, which doesn't sound right to me because the taste in my mind was so offensive.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like it was like, and I could not get the taste out of my mouth.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's probably what was in your olive.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember, but I think it was black, but the, it actually's gonna make you feel sick.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: And like the... That's so sad.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: you're never going to be able to have a dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty and it's like she's all this kind of like my that would be so up your alley I know I know I think about it all the time I couldn't I barely can touch them they really gross me out so the times gifts and will post a dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty dirty that makes me want it and I will be like
- 50:39[SPEAKER_00]: Whoa.
- 50:40[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's beautiful.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they were all drinking them at our bachelor's rad, and I was like, I wanted to have them, but I was like, I know I'll hate it.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: And you're also doing it with the twist.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: Fuck.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's my my grape.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: My grape with um, that house made is that when they're drinking those martinis.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: the glasses aren't it looks like it's just like lukewarm water with a yeah those glasses you're right they need to be completely frozen i have martini glasses in the freezer right now and i they've been in there for like a month yeah one day i'm gonna want to make the hellstone crisp martini again and i'm gonna need a freezing cold fucking glass exactly
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly, okay.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_00]: But if you, by the way, if you guys need a tip, if you want to really quickly frost glass and make it really cold right away, you put some ice in it, you fill it with water, you can either let it sit or then you can put that in the freezer for like, what a minute, it will be totally cold.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, if you want to be really cold, you just leave it in there.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, okay, so Dan's like,
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you should come to our Thanksgiving.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: Um, he's horrified Blair would kick her out.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's already finished his specialty the cranberries out of the can.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: So she hangs up.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: She goes, okay, I got to send this mess.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to get us out of it.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: Dan and Vernon Meiner, X-Renzo the sister and his dad.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's really cool.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm commenting and telling you my Serena is good and I'm like, have you all show me my Serena's effectively, I don't know, I mean, I was like, ready for the career.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you guys for saying that, but it's I think it needs some work and Phoebe will agree.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: Every so often you do get a word that is like spot on.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard because it like I do need kind of like all word to really like launch.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's like it, either way you do it is kind of like if SNL did it.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like it would be an exaggerated version of porn.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not if you need anything at all.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I just want us to freaking take over the world and set a map on.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, not instead of how about in tandem with.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're the girl version.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: We are the girl version.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we go back to last year's Thanksgiving.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_00]: Again, Eleanor comes in offers Blair, canopy, which I don't know what it is.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_00]: And if some of you come and tell us, I would love that.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: Really, I didn't know what song is it.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_00]: Good night and go maybe.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_00]: No way.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 53:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think it might be.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: How did I miss that kind of sounds like train sounds?
- 53:08[SPEAKER_00]: God, I love that song.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_00]: So Blur's like, no, I don't want when I had 15 or she goes, she goes, she goes, I'm not really hungry.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_00]: And Eleanor immediately concerned.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, what is, what does that mean that you're not hungry?
- 53:18[SPEAKER_00]: And Blur's like, well, I had 15 of them and daddy made them and Eleanor's like 15.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_00]: And at first I was kind of like chill.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_00]: But then I realized she's not worried about like, Blair eating a lot.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's more so than bingeing because she's just like,
- 53:29[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_00]: You ate a little bit of time.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_00]: Are you going to go purge like that's that's the what we've been working on.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, and that was the first time I kind of saw that way because I think I used to be like, oh, that's Claire's talk sick mom, you know, but, but it's not and Serena's like fully asleep at the table.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_00]: So, Blair's waking her up and Eleanor and Walter, Claire's dad are like talking and he's like, listen, the doctor said not to drive us crazy with this.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_00]: She's been good for two months, like, just chill it's fine.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm kind of like,
- 53:59[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Eleanor's better parent.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's just so He kind of gives Uncle vibes more than father.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I know.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_00]: He gives.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's just kind of like the classic thing of like
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: like I wouldn't say that our family is like this at all but I know there are a lot of families where it's like all the dad that doesn't really have to do anything he can just come in and be like oh my god a daddy like it doesn't much like and it doesn't matter and he doesn't feel like the nothings and he always is gonna be like the favorite and then the mom is the one who has to do the heavy parenting lifting and therefore becomes the enemy I would not say that's how it was in our family but like that it's like that trope I feel right and so Nate comes in
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, we need out another play setting.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_00]: I have a model coming, and Walter's like, oh, like, who is she?
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: Do I know her, and she's equal to some man as names Roma.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then she looks at him and says, not this one herald.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_00]: We have to work together.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, OK, so this has happened before, which again, it makes me really sad for Eleanor.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like that makes me very sad.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: I know that we lavender marriages are very like, it's a very hot topic right now.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_00]: And listen, if anyone was gonna be, I mean, I did fall in love with the straight man, unfortunately, get married and we're very happy.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: But like, if I hadn't, let me tell you, a lavender marriage was on the table.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_00]: It was on the table.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that there it's possible to have a very happy life.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_00]: If both of you are aware that you're in the lavender marriage and like,
- 55:25[SPEAKER_00]: and turned into it with that understanding.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: But it's very clear that Eleanor entered into this without that understanding and it has since become the truth and like that is I think a much tougher cross to bear.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_00]: So then then Nate comes in and he and Serena like run into each other and they're immediately flirting but it's just like so over Blair's head.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like she just sees things like brother sister rise.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_00]: So it's also sad because it's like she trusts them so much.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't for one second think that it's a possibility.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't worry at all.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: Which is just like God literally like, this is one year ago that she was this happy and carefree in her house.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_00]: We have literally never seen Blair like this again.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is the only time you see her this way.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_00]: And it's also just like God she trusted her best friends.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_00]: She trusted her parents or father.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_00]: all of these fucking, and it just shows her trust.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: It shows how much and how quickly her world has been completely changed.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_00]: One year, all of these people let her down monumentally.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, so you know what?
- 56:33[SPEAKER_00]: No wonder she can be a fucking bitch.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here for it.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: Go for it girl.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, Blair's like, I don't want to leave my dad Thanksgiving's like our thing, can you go take care of
- 56:45[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that we just said like she trusts him so much, but I am still like
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna go get her in the bath.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_00]: I know, no, I'm totally with you.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_00]: So then we got a present day and it's like such a stark comparison.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you could hear a pen drop at the World War Thanksgiving.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_00]: Blair's upset because she walks in and like, there's catering.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_00]: They're not cooking anything.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_00]: And her dad's still not there and she's confused because he didn't call her to say that he wasn't coming.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: And Eleanor goes, well, Neia's too much work, or Roman is too much work.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_00]: And that's when we realize like,
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: officially that this the potentially they met also at the Thanksgiving last year and then fell on the other way.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like Hulman Blair runs off in Dorota and Eleanor kind of exchange a look.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes Eleanor goes run along and change into something a little more enchanting.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: I just love it.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so this is the scene where Dan deserves to be catapulted out of the palace.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is insane.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, he's like, I don't feel good.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna go.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just gonna stay home and Thanksgiving.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: She's reading a Nicholas Spark's novel.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_00]: and then room service arrives and release freakin' pissed because she ordered it to come after the kid's last Serena goes early!
- 58:06[SPEAKER_00]: Serena goes to your, sorry, this is the room!
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 58:23[SPEAKER_00]: Lily's like, uh, I lied.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I just don't want to go and then Dan shows up.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_00]: Which even has a way like it's so valid that Lily doesn't want to go even without the roof is of it all.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_00]: Literally that could have that could have no Barry and I would be like, our mom would pick you guys just go.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like if we were having a situation where like we were home for Thanksgiving and we didn't have to end like whatever.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, she would have been like, I'm more still going to the law dwarfs.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get to decide that.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_00]: Can freaking figure it out.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_00]: But number two, she'd be like, I'm not going.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you can do guys just go and have fun, and I'll see you later.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so Dan sees that Lily of Androids and is not dressed for them, which I'm also like Dan for all you know, this is what she was going to wear.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: She looks fine.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: Bull choice of it.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: You're in a vest bitch.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_00]: You shouldn't even notice what she's wearing, actually.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's cheating.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's in your cheating on Serena in front of her by commenting on what her mom's wearing.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_00]: You even, you even could tell she's wearing anything.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I guess the alternative would be, make Dan's, he's, Dan has x-ray vision.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: Great, Dan has x-ray vision.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_00]: This makes him even worse.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_00]: We knew he was already gossip girl, we were like, that's a bummer, but x-ray vision, you freaking pig!
- 59:42[SPEAKER_00]: You're a diva sister!
- 59:46[SPEAKER_00]: You're a total freaking pig.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: I hope it turns off and you walk in a hungry loft.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, that is honestly,
- 59:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's deplorable.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's like Chuck passes so about what no one's talking about in X, Ray, vision, speaking of stop checking me out at the airport, everybody.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_00]: I go through that machine.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you see all my nooks and grannies.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_00]: Don't look too long.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, you're looking a little too close.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_00]: Guy.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_00]: You can't pat me down.
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_00]: You're lusting over me right now.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_00]: You want to pat, I'm married.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: No, you can't pat me, you can't snap my bra strap.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you can't touch my hair.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing in there.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_00]: Except for a lot of product, which I'm sure you noticed and smelled, and you're probably great.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_00]: My ferramons are working, aren't they?
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, God, I knew I should have just dressed like I was going to visit a present today.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_00]: When I came to the airport, so I'm going to be attracted to me.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_00]: So none of you, TSA agents, and I don't
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, so yeah, so Dan has a really bold choice of a tire.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I wrote, like, okay.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, choice of words, my God.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, okay.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_00]: And literally, it's Trinity's mom's sick dial.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and then Dan goes, well, I'm not taking it for an answer.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_00]: And Nicholas Parks is hardly family.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_00]: You need to be a family.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, 10, you're hardly family.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's been like, she could stay here and actually her kids could stay here and then she actually be with family, so chill.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I just don't like how Serena's like, she's like a hot and bothered by Dan taking charge.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_00]: I would be so horrified.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be like, great, now I'm gonna be in trouble.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be in trouble because you came in and now I'm a boyfriend now I'm grounded because you So time on like this So then she she's like okay if I'm going to get ready and here's the line VVL let you take it Couldn't believe my ears.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_00]: Make it snappy No, that's not the way he's at it.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_00]: Make it snappy.
- 1:01:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm double parked
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_00]: It was so much worse.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_00]: It was so much worse.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, hey, I don't care.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I don't even want to go, Dan.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care if you're double parked.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you're doing.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_00]: You double parked.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_00]: What do you, you drove here?
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_00]: It really is going to be disgusting.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_00]: Lily Vander was supposed to get in Venice's van.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Vanessa's brother is a van, and you know, it smells like marijuana, I know that van smells like marijuana, but it's not at least first time in a van that smells like marijuana.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to change.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_00]: Which we are about to learn.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_00]: And so, she's going to go, and then she calls her group is to like tell warm him, but he doesn't answer, and she explains in the voice mail, our kids don't know that we're friendly.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to keep it that way.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_00]: But then she goes, but I look forward to seeing you, I'm like, oh, she wants to get
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_00]: Holy fuck, Caroline's super slut chronicle.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_00]: That just slipped out, okay, that just literally slipped out.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that makes you even more of a slut.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, I was one of my type of your friends.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_00]: Finally, I get to be this lucky one.
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_00]: Phoebe's always was lucky one on the podcast and everyone's like, Caroline, you take up your chance to be about for one.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, okay, thanksgiving.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_00]: Every time I get to be lucky, my chance to be lucky.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I can make room for the freaking turkey.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_00]: My comment, when I, what I texted last week or two weeks ago when I was watching told me lies in the situation room.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_00]: Lucy needs a muzzle and a trusty boat.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and a twanned power around the clock therapist.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_00]: No, don't give her handcuffs.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_00]: Do not give her handcuffs.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she really gives me ideas and his hand cuff myself to see even the Marcos penis.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: Really what she do.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, all right, so Blair is getting dressed to Rota's helping her.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, it didn't really realize this is we have not gotten much to Rota yet in this whole season.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_00]: And so this is kind of this is this episode feels like a big one where we Formal we had the one episode with the Yale day that we saw like her relationship with Blair.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of that she takes almost like motherly whatever and now we see it kind of again And it's like wow to Rota's to Rota's the only mother fucker in this city that can handle Blair all or like she's actually honest with her.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's so true.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's so true
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_00]: Blair's really upset because her odds didn't call and Dorota's like, well, maybe you should call him because maybe he'll tell you the real story.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_00]: And Blair's like, Erden, yeah.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let me go to arguably the worst Thanksgiving of them all, the arch about Thanksgiving.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_00]: Why are they all literally in suits?
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they're just like propped up in a chair.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_00]: Also, Anne is literally in like an equestrian right.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she looks like she's a pole in the back of her chair
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: She's sitting up straight and also you know there are turkey trot families, but they couldn't do it this year So instead they did this like an ant's boss.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_00]: Oh Vizgy's like I can't eat this meal without burning how am I gonna burn off the calories?
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I won't have a treadmill.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_00]: She's like I'm not have a treadmill.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_00]: I have to say when you go doesn't count Look good anywhere.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_00]: No, she was if you don't if you're not born with a fast metabolism, then that's that
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, Anarchwell doesn't work out because she's like, look, it's a sign of it's eliteness to just be born with a fast metabolism, like me.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_00]: That was what she would say.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, we don't agree.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_00]: And Anne is like complaining.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like she is just like lamenting about the day.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_00]: And as like complaining, it's like seriously on what could be wrong right now.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's literally called Thanksgiving.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_00]: Thanksgiving.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_00]: How about some gratefulness.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_00]: She's pissed off because she was they were uninvited from the Waldorf Thanksgiving.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_00]: She was asked to sit down from the committee at the Snowflake Ball and the Lincoln Center Foundation.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_00]: But also, and a little bit because of you, because how much did your willingness to look the other way contribute to this situation we are in today?
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_00]: And like Nate Nate sees that.
- 1:05:53[SPEAKER_00]: He bops her.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_00]: And Nate makes a- I am just saying a little bit like Nate read the room.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_00]: Nate goes, look mom, no one's angry with me.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_00]: Nate, I would dare to say, don't even know the half of him.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_00]: I've been watching this dinner for two Mississippi's, and I know there are people angry or than you.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're just burying it very well.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: They're high.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about it than you.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I guess that's true.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: So then Nate's like, you were all fracting like nothing happened until it fell on you.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then the captain stops him and he's like, don't fight this fight for me, whatever.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_00]: Nate gets pissed.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right, see ya.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_00]: All right, no mad.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_00]: We go to the Humphrey loft and everybody arrives.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_00]: Dan, first Dan comes in, followed by Serena, followed by Eric.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_00]: All smiley.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh God, a hush falls over the room and we are transported to last year thanksgiving.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_00]: where Dan has come home and he has to explain why he doesn't have the pie and he's like well, I was saving a girl and we have the most the most hungry exchange ever because Alice and goes oh did you hear that?
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_00]: Your brother just saved a girl and Jenny goes I thought you had to be near a girl for that to happen and then Dan goes no, she's sending girl V girl.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, why have you talked?
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_00]: And Jenny goes the blonde you stock at school and I'm like no, no, no, later really.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_00]: Stocks at school.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_00]: You don't even know if I'm a John Mr.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_00]: Gross, a pro.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_00]: And this is crazy.
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_00]: Go ahead.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_00]: He said, sorry, do we're going to do it?
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_00]: No, go ahead.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_00]: You'll have you have the line.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_00]: He goes, well, apparently I like the blondes who get drunk and almost run over on Thanksgiving.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then Alice and goes, well, you're dialed like them dangerous in trouble too.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're really nice and troubled.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like,
- 1:07:43[SPEAKER_00]: someone else that I was talking about me.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_00]: Woof.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_00]: And Angus Lide didn't realize there was anyone else.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_00]: Boom, back in present time.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_00]: Camera on the leave-and-or-what's in.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, there's the someone else.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_00]: I do just want to say, Dan.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_00]: This is an, like,
- 1:07:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know most teenagers have a tough time realizing that their parents had lives before them.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_00]: But you really didn't think there was ever didn't do anyone.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody else?
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_00]: I bet you know that Rufus and Allison were like, OK, let's get our freaking stories straight.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_00]: And they were just like, oh, no, we've been together literally for over like, we never like, I wonder too.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't even remember like how much we learn about.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_00]: their origin story and you know what sucks is we were so close to getting a spin off about Lily Vander what's in play by Britney's smell and I think I must know I literally been mourning when I remember it we're gonna get one episode minus like weird because it is never like comes back up but it's like I have about today we get the Rhodes sister spin off I would love that because maybe it would tell us a little bit about
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_00]: the roof is like how that started and how like where did Alice come in because is there a world where like Alice and a roof is have known each other for a long time and like they you know Lily was like I don't know like she obviously there was a time or the three of them were all aware of each other in some way so it's like I just would I don't really remember like why though.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so the kids kind of go to get the table set and Rufus Lillian Alice and are like, what the hell?
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_00]: And, but Lily makes it clear that The kids don't know.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think you already said that.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know you were.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_00]: Allison was back.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_00]: I am.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_00]: And why would you know?
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why?
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_00]: Because you've been talking to the kids.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_00]: You haven't been here, girl.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you've been out of here.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_00]: You've had no control over what's going on.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly you're the one who decided to leave so like it's it's she like I get it self the victim and
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_00]: Every possible way and it's like you are responsible for some of this.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_00]: You were looking for an opportunity to make Rufus the bad guy.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, you're still, you're still the bad guy.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but they agree.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_00]: They're just going to have a nice holiday.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Again, they'll remind them don't share too much.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_00]: And Rufus goes, can you grab the mask?
- 1:10:10[SPEAKER_00]: And then Alice and Lily both reach for it.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_00]: I also hate the mask.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_00]: And they say to get later.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, can you pet dang can you pass a mask?
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Potato hate it.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's your fucking sentence.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Hashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pashtag, pas
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, we can do pacimash.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm out.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_00]: They hear I'm going anywhere but here.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he gets up in this.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I pressed play.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_00]: I've been waiting for this moment.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_00]: Jason D'Roulosard's play.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Which is in and then all of us go off and it's like wait.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_00]: This song's not going to get everyone's fighting.
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_00]: I've been everywhere.
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_00]: Now we're up there.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's giving.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_00]: She's in various at the table.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_00]: There are confronts Ellen we're at the table and she's how could you make me think that he didn't want to come and make him think that I didn't want him here.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Did you call Daddy and tell him I didn't want to see him?
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_00]: And we find out that, yes, Eleanor literally did.
- 1:11:25[SPEAKER_00]: She said, there's so mad at you for leaving.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to see you don't come.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_00]: And Eleanor says, when are you going to get it?
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Through your head, he left us.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_00]: And Blair says, he didn't leave us.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_00]: He left you.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_00]: Which I do think it's cutting, but it's also true.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, Blair's the glove?
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's OK.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's cutting.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm like, isn't true, he did mean a little bit, but like, would he be there if Ellen we're having, but Ellen or Ellen or shouldn't have said he left us like to like as if like he like, don't like twist the knife.
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_00]: Just like it's already it's bad enough.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_00]: But in this moment, Ellen or is like acting like a kid because she's a hurt that she like can't.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_00]: also be the mom, you know what I think she's kind of jealous of Blair in a way that he still wants to he still can have relationship with her exactly because she does know in her heart like yeah well he left me and so then as a result he had to leave you and it's like that's probably a lot of guilt too for her like yeah but it is at the end of a day like they could have had a life here
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_00]: and they chose to leave, but maybe that's easier for Eleanor if they leave because then they're not around what don't talk, you know what I mean?
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like because at this point I don't think people know like what the actual story is, you know what I mean?
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_00]: But so then Eleanor says to Blair eat or leave the table and Blair says I told you I'm not hungry and she gets up and the desire to rise and Eleanor is like, maybe the desire will change your mind this and she says it she says it in a way like she goes over what's about to happen.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, I'm like, girl, why'd you do that?
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_00]: Big mistake, literally.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_00]: She says, like, where is daddy's pie?
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, the second Illinois says that to her, player doesn't need half the sheet.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like, Blair knows.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Where is daddy's pie?
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_00]: And Eleanor is like, oh, well, we just, we had all these beautiful desserts in the caterers.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_00]: We just sent that one down to the door, man.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's fine.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Choose one of those amazing desserts.
- 1:13:15[SPEAKER_00]: And Blair, it's such a good look.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_00]: She looks at her mother with the nastiest look you could give another person.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_00]: Picks up this massive, overflowing, like, apple pie.
- 1:13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Looks at her mom and walks away with the whole thing.
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_00]: And it's almost like,
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's a moment where I feel like for Blair, like her mother could see her taking entire pie and be like, oh fuck, she's going to go binge and purge and like Blair knows that.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Her mom's going to think that and Eleanor doesn't follow her.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_00]: And like,
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_00]: Just thinking about that.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like Blair goes into the commission and I'm not trying to take away from home emotional scene is, but I do just want to say when she slams that pie onto the counter, it's clearly plastic and it really bothers me.
- 1:14:04[SPEAKER_00]: like when she slams it down it makes me wrong noise crust flakes fly up in the air when you did that like she it's it like and I could like feel it in my hands like a prop yeah pie although it couldn't have been because she eats it watch that scene again okay when she puts it because then when it goes into the sink it makes the right noise okay the the fully they did matches but they didn't put any in this yeah okay it sounds like she's like
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_00]: it's just like plastic on the counter.
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not satisfying.
- 1:14:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's this crazy moment where she walks in and she isn't saying anything and like there are people working in the kitchen and Gerota looks at all of them and she's like, I'm a little bit like Gerota why didn't you intervene all day?
- 1:14:47[SPEAKER_00]: You know, yeah.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_00]: You could air them literally like her pacing around like, look, she, it's, it's like this crazy.
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like she's even realized anyone's in there.
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like she's so mad.
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_00]: And we start getting these flashbacks to food and her eating.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_00]: All her little tiny bites she's taken this season.
- 1:15:07[SPEAKER_00]: In that night when she and Nate got sushi and she asked if she could have the rest of his sushi.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then we find out that later that night she went to the bathroom and made her
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_00]: Once needed.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_00]: After when she left, she went, yeah, she got up and went in and we see her kneels down and whatever.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then we go back to the Humphreys and Danes.
- 1:15:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, she's also, well, this is all happening and she's devouring.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_00]: She's eating huge massive bites of this pie and crying, like, oh my god, it's such a, and then she looks in the, like, refrigerator reflection, like, sees herself and she's just like,
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like because I met her look better in their reflection.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_00]: She looks crazy.
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think that might be the point.
- 1:15:52[SPEAKER_00]: I know, but I mean, like, it's not even like, you can't even see your face.
- 1:15:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, well, you know what I used to wonder.
- 1:15:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know, but I used to wonder at that moment.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_00]: I used to think, are they trying to make it look like the person she sees in the mirror is like really fat?
- 1:16:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, are they like, she doesn't?
- 1:16:05[SPEAKER_00]: But like, I was like, are they, are they trying to create it?
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is that the goal that she makes and you see,
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it is.
- 1:16:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, I think it's just the way the glass looked.
- 1:16:16[SPEAKER_00]: She, because we go back to the home freeze and Dan is asking Lily about her life growing up and how holidays were.
- 1:16:22[SPEAKER_00]: Allison, so we need to turn your phone off.
- 1:16:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wait, we're out there yet.
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_00]: That hasn't happened yet.
- 1:16:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's happening right now, I think.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but before that, we have Dan's asking, and Lily says, well, I grew up on a ranch, a small ranch.
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_00]: And Allison says, well, Jenny goes, I don't know.
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_00]: There were small ranches.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_00]: No, Allison says that.
- 1:16:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, Jenny says I didn't know there were small ranches and Allison goes, that's because there aren't.
- 1:16:53[SPEAKER_00]: right if we're not currently has this episode memorized yeah don't don't fucking except she was willing to just bought us right over that moment well because I'm like that's on as important as the next the next moment that they have together but it's okay I you're right it is important it's all important it's all important don't anyone to feel like we're skimping on the gossip girl content so um
- 1:17:14[SPEAKER_00]: But Serena's phone rings and I just seem like okay and now Dan and Serena might be even because what do you mean you're at this table and your phone is on the loudest ring you're setting and she goes I'm so rude, but I have to take this like it's actually rude before you even took it.
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_00]: You've already interrupted the dinner you might as well.
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_00]: And you might as well answer at the table.
- 1:17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Charlottesville said, please, please speak her.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Please, may I ask you a while?
- 1:17:37[SPEAKER_00]: I really thought on the upper east side.
- 1:17:38[SPEAKER_00]: We'd have more etiquette.
- 1:17:39[SPEAKER_00]: You guys not read Emily Post.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, we don't know who's on the phone, but we know who's on the phone.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_00]: Except for that was a moment.
- 1:17:47[SPEAKER_00]: Then when I liked it, did I forget and isn't Nate?
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:17:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think they wanted us to think though.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think so too.
- 1:17:53[SPEAKER_00]: But Serena says, I have to go.
- 1:17:56[SPEAKER_00]: I have to go.
- 1:18:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then she goes and she hugs like, like, goes, you're such a good friend.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I am, for everyone's and Alice asks if Luna is going to go with her, like, yeah, I'm, like, you didn't get just put in a lot of it when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when I was, when
- 1:18:18[SPEAKER_00]: So Serena leaves we go back to talking about the ranch that'll really grow up on and they ask about her horses and she said she had one name rosewood Oh my god crazy and then Jenny goes oh my god our dad has a song named rosewood.
- 1:18:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's about my mom.
- 1:18:28[SPEAKER_00]: It was her own personal scent I'm excited like rose and sandalwood and Allison looks like she has been she's seen a girl.
- 1:18:35[SPEAKER_00]: So she goes I'm I'm Rufus Rufus says say low key.
- 1:18:40[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not attracted to Rufus at all but there was something about the way he said you're not
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_00]: You're not a fool that did it for me that made you when I brought logs up to them.
- 1:18:48[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we're not saying it if it's the truth That's baby.
- 1:18:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's try on a stage today on the pod.
- 1:18:55[SPEAKER_00]: Phoebe's lying to you guys about a lot of stuff I won't tell you what but a lot of stuff For example Again, I'll ask what's going on in your apartment behind you.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_00]: Phoebe I can see the body is piling up.
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like I'm calling the police.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so then all the kids are like, oh, what's going on in Tango's?
- 1:19:14[SPEAKER_00]: Raise your hand if you're over 30 and acting really weird right now.
- 1:19:17[SPEAKER_00]: Which is the equivalent of the later on Thanksgiving episode where Vanessa goes, um, what did she say?
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Riffus, have you ever heard of someone starting to make a brand new face at 19?
- 1:19:26[SPEAKER_00]: It has the same energy as that.
- 1:19:29[SPEAKER_00]: Raise your hand if you're over 30 and I'm like, and by the way, over 40.
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, come on.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little speed real.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_00]: He like wings it, Lily.
- 1:19:37[SPEAKER_00]: Is it Raise your hand if you're over 30?
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_00]: and acting really weird right now.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_00]: And guys, the truth freaking comes out.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_00]: The truth comes out that there's history here.
- 1:19:46[SPEAKER_00]: And Allison leaves the table.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_00]: Gets up, says I need to go anywhere with her.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_00]: She leaves, she's the group is don't follow me, but Dan does.
- 1:19:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then Jenny, sweet little Jay, with tears in her eyes.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_00]: It is, Jenny looks so cute and like little girl.
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_00]: And this episode, I just want to give her a big old hug.
- 1:20:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then you remember what she's about to freaking become.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, get away from her girl.
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_00]: So, Jenny and Eric also, they leave the team.
- 1:20:15[SPEAKER_00]: Love them, we don't acknowledge it all, so.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_00]: I like the movie and the comment that's like, did Caroline fall out of her chair at this time?
- 1:20:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I mean, I'm going to go to the dime sale.
- 1:20:24[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, don't mention it, we just keep going and you leave it in first.
- 1:20:29[SPEAKER_00]: So we go back to last year and Nate is cleaning Serena up in the bathroom and he is like obsessed with her and with these lines are so good though Like you go for it.
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_00]: You just want to just brewery to players know the boss me and he goes, are you new here?
- 1:20:44[SPEAKER_00]: Because players are awesome all of us
- 1:20:45[SPEAKER_00]: Which is kind of the boss of all of us.
- 1:20:48[SPEAKER_00]: Why is that giving Anthony and give me this is like what you know what's really sad here as this is like Blair thinks of them like Kelly and Anthony you know but Nate is like and then Serena's just too unassuming for her own good eventually and she's exactly too much of a drunk he goes he's smell like a brewery floor and she goes a brewery floor with a pinch of second hazma
- 1:21:13[SPEAKER_00]: So she says I always loved her.
- 1:21:15[SPEAKER_00]: She's at that with the pinch of second-hand sma And then she goes a blare is a bossy genius and they start she starts getting him I think it was all I'm not doing as well as like an ash tray and she says, but you look like an Astray and then they start squirting each other with water and I was like, do you know how much trouble we would be in
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_00]: Carolina's dressing watching, she's like, oh my god, they're going to be so much better stop because let me tell you, it's not going to be a good thing when the ceiling caves in.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_00]: when the ceiling falls in because you guys got water everywhere.
- 1:21:51[SPEAKER_00]: One thing's gonna be dinner.
- 1:21:53[SPEAKER_00]: Look, it can happen, okay?
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_00]: It can freaking happen.
- 1:21:56[SPEAKER_00]: And Nate, like pretends like he's like wrestling the thing out of her and is like kind of stern and then he gets things around and then they go, okay, he's strict.
- 1:22:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I love he's more like, oh, he's strict.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_00]: They love, or oh, she's strict.
- 1:22:10[SPEAKER_00]: I love what I say that.
- 1:22:12[SPEAKER_00]: He was an employer walks in and they're like, oh, shit.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_00]: And it is like, why are you two acting like you just got caught?
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_00]: But they do play it off because they like, I clicked their caught.
- 1:22:21[SPEAKER_00]: And they spray her and it's just like the three friends I mean.
- 1:22:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, look at these carefree kids.
- 1:22:26[SPEAKER_00]: who get to be carefree kids for a minute.
- 1:22:29[SPEAKER_00]: For one clubing Thanksgiving in the lives.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's all going to come crashing down on them.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to wear as today.
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, we go to Nate.
- 1:22:34[SPEAKER_00]: Nate is.
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, that's an immense.
- 1:22:36[SPEAKER_00]: He is contemplating smoking a blunt.
- 1:22:39[SPEAKER_00]: I guess on the side of the road.
- 1:22:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to see how they can't be doing drugs.
- 1:22:43[SPEAKER_00]: Three.
- 1:22:44[SPEAKER_00]: And there are also people all around the addiction runs in the family.
- 1:22:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's like, what am I doing?
- 1:22:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be like my dad.
- 1:22:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to be like the captain.
- 1:22:53[SPEAKER_00]: He starts like stressingly unbuttoning his shirts.
- 1:22:55[SPEAKER_00]: A dare shirt underneath.
- 1:22:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, I need to call my sponsor.
- 1:22:59[SPEAKER_00]: I can't.
- 1:23:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, it's Serena.
- 1:23:03[SPEAKER_00]: And he goes, he goes for his phone.
- 1:23:05[SPEAKER_00]: And again, we haven't seen where Serena went.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_00]: And he like, where they go fuck.
- 1:23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she's going to see.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_00]: I was like if she shows up here next to him and they share this blunt I'm over it.
- 1:23:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm freaking can't but no thank God no, but also what a chuck do to the I was wondering I almost thought this was Chuck.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's on the first.
- 1:23:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's on even on Nate's short Imagine this is the one scene we get of Chuck on Thanksgiving.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's just him sitting alone in the park like sad And then we just go back to everybody else And so Nate decides not to call Serena
- 1:23:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so Serena does show back up at Blares and we have this really fine and so sad and it's like how The scene with Allison and Hannah could have gone if Allison was in his evil if Allison is saying now finish the job do it
- 1:23:48[SPEAKER_00]: Do it, coward, you know, I can show you how to get rid of it.
- 1:23:52[SPEAKER_00]: I can show you how to get rid of, oh, my God, exactly.
- 1:23:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and it's like, Blair, who taught you, who showed you?
- 1:23:57[SPEAKER_00]: And Blair on the bathroom floor, saying, I didn't mean to.
- 1:24:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, like, I did that like, I just like, oh my God, it's so, so sad.
- 1:24:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, so, you know, it was just how to make your friend feel better.
- 1:24:10[SPEAKER_00]: She is, I didn't see your dad down there.
- 1:24:15[SPEAKER_00]: but it is like cute.
- 1:24:16[SPEAKER_00]: They're like sitting there on the floor together and I mean, ladies, you're such a good actress.
- 1:24:20[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, fully, because she's got the look of her face that she's been crying.
- 1:24:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm like, it's so good.
- 1:24:28[SPEAKER_00]: I know, you're just crying all day.
- 1:24:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think you do.
- 1:24:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think you just like get, and I literally think you get in the head space and then you start on your, once you've been crying for a while.
- 1:24:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_00]: But you don't have a luxury on stage, by the way.
- 1:24:40[SPEAKER_00]: So if you ever see someone acting really well, really sad on stage, just remember,
- 1:24:44[SPEAKER_00]: that's real talent.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_00]: This is one take only.
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is one take only.
- 1:24:49[SPEAKER_00]: Show me what's going on.
- 1:24:50[SPEAKER_00]: So Blair explained.
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, my mom just decides everything in the world.
- 1:24:55[SPEAKER_00]: Everything in the world is totally up to her.
- 1:24:57[SPEAKER_00]: And Serena's like, you know what?
- 1:25:00[SPEAKER_00]: Let's come out of here a little more.
- 1:25:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little more sane and she goes any place with qualifier.
- 1:25:05[SPEAKER_00]: And you better come here.
- 1:25:08[SPEAKER_00]: If you really mean not.
- 1:25:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:25:12[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:25:12[SPEAKER_00]: So Allison and Dan are walking outside and
- 1:25:16[SPEAKER_00]: and then goes mom you were badass you threatened her with physical violence and I was and goes well you know as younger that question turning my anger and art you know I have to tell you about someone yeah it's like if only it's done we find out that I was in here today Alison writes under the pen named freedomic fatten
- 1:25:36[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:37[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:37[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:38[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:38[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:39[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:39[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:40[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:40[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:41[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:41[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:42[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:44[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:44[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:45[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:46[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:46[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:47[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:48[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:49[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:50[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:50[SPEAKER_00]: She said.
- 1:25:52[UNKNOWN]: She said.
- 1:25:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, very clear, she's homely, and she's flat, too.
- 1:25:57[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, she admits to Dan that Gilly was a full-sexy, with the friend and squenor.
- 1:26:05[SPEAKER_00]: This Hawkeye?
- 1:26:06[SPEAKER_00]: With this really Hawkeye looks exactly like Rufus.
- 1:26:08[SPEAKER_00]: It looks exactly like Rufus, oh my god, what am I doing?
- 1:26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, um, she admits it annually was Rufus's first great love and it's kind of hard to compete with that.
- 1:26:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then we go back to the loft where Lily and Rufus are having a conbell and they're sort of like fighting about how Rufus didn't tell Lily about Allison and just like let her find out like this.
- 1:26:28[SPEAKER_00]: I liked this line.
- 1:26:28[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, how could you have let me be in this position?
- 1:26:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he's just like,
- 1:26:36[SPEAKER_00]: I just, there are so many things that I see and I make this just didn't have to happen.
- 1:26:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, Ruf is you should have had the foresight to hear Dan say Serena and Eric are coming and be like, I need to make sure that Lily is, if she's right, you need to make sure that she's either not coming or that she knows that she's getting herself into and I also could have prepared Allison for this because now Lily is the bad guy in the
- 1:27:05[SPEAKER_00]: is an outsider.
- 1:27:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and it's like, she's like, she's like, she's in a sort of like intruding on this moment and this marriage and all these things.
- 1:27:14[SPEAKER_00]: And Rufus is like, I just don't know what I owe you.
- 1:27:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like I just, I don't know what we are going to tell her.
- 1:27:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then made a side to DTR.
- 1:27:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I can't even say it.
- 1:27:23[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, well, look at us, Chauini.
- 1:27:28[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, don't, don't laugh like that ever again.
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_00]: Carolina just had to work in her to her brain cells.
- 1:27:34[SPEAKER_00]: Hey guys Carolina Carolina in the future Don't ever laugh like that again.
- 1:27:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 1:27:39[SPEAKER_00]: I was just speaking into my Carolina actually hit Carolina.
- 1:27:43[SPEAKER_00]: I sure carries around a tape recorder.
- 1:27:45[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, all my secrets seriously All my secrets my haunted house and others
- 1:27:50[SPEAKER_00]: We're just telling everything on the bot.
- 1:27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well then how about this?
- 1:27:54[SPEAKER_00]: You good Phoebe?
- 1:27:55[SPEAKER_00]: You can't be bolder than me.
- 1:27:57[SPEAKER_00]: My god.
- 1:27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Carolyn's like that character and I never know what movie this is, but Dad always said it was like me, but Carolines like this actually with her tape recorder.
- 1:28:06[SPEAKER_00]: Out of it, there's a guy who carries her on a tape recorder for his ideas and one of them, I think.
- 1:28:13[SPEAKER_00]: And Dad said it's like you.
- 1:28:14[SPEAKER_00]: Well listen.
- 1:28:15[SPEAKER_00]: he's like on a boat and he goes idea feed tuna fish mannays okay never by now I get it so it's that is I would bet we have a video that feeding me when she was again she's whispering into the MacBook it's six a.m. she's like idea idea feed the hermit crab marshmallow fluff
- 1:28:46[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, but what would the point of that be?
- 1:28:47[SPEAKER_00]: What would the point of that be?
- 1:28:49[SPEAKER_00]: When my crabs are not only dead, but they're covered in marshmallow flop, I think.
- 1:28:54[SPEAKER_00]: But what would the point of that be?
- 1:28:56[SPEAKER_00]: If you were like, they're dead?
- 1:28:58[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 1:28:59[SPEAKER_00]: I thought they'd be the forever of fight.
- 1:29:02[SPEAKER_00]: Did that.
- 1:29:02[SPEAKER_00]: I just thought, I guess I thought wrong.
- 1:29:07[SPEAKER_00]: Let's have a funeral.
- 1:29:08[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I thought I thought this was all it.
- 1:29:10[SPEAKER_00]: The reason you would feed a tuna fish mayonnaise is so you don't have to mix the mayonnaise into the tuna.
- 1:29:15[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, see, there was no reason for what you did to the hermit grave.
- 1:29:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:29:20[SPEAKER_00]: I knew you misunderstood.
- 1:29:21[SPEAKER_00]: You just pointed that and that was kind of fucked up.
- 1:29:24[SPEAKER_00]: Those were like all of our hermit graves.
- 1:29:27[SPEAKER_00]: I saw her make her have been a clear show the other day hate hate why did we want those we were like Please give her get her a cause no, I was like so scared to hold them and they always escaped We how and by the way how were you speaking on the middle of the night like On their page because pretty much how do they get out we like find them places like and in our shoes and shit
- 1:29:49[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know.
- 1:29:50[SPEAKER_00]: The hermit crabs were a scape artist and they would get out and then we'd like find them places.
- 1:29:54[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they were definitely gymnasts, climbers, Alex's cause.
- 1:29:58[SPEAKER_00]: But I was like, it is great.
- 1:30:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why did we every year we'd get them?
- 1:30:03[SPEAKER_00]: Every year we get them.
- 1:30:03[SPEAKER_00]: From that search shop.
- 1:30:04[SPEAKER_00]: But then we had them when you're in the little long time.
- 1:30:07[SPEAKER_00]: And we were like, remember my frog is that I had?
- 1:30:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, from school.
- 1:30:11[SPEAKER_00]: Did you have them too?
- 1:30:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:30:15[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I'll never forget when I saw my frog dad, the way that I was like just like bottom up in the pool and the pool and the thing.
- 1:30:24[SPEAKER_00]: And I brought it to me with me and that's probably the way.
- 1:30:27[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, okay, so he's telling Lily you're one of my oldest friends and she says well That's not how it felt when you kissed me at Eleanor's party boom Alice and walks out with Dan perfect I'm like freaking operated.
- 1:30:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like can we speak in code for once?
- 1:30:42[SPEAKER_00]: There's nobody no more scout This is crazy.
- 1:30:44[SPEAKER_00]: Then Alice and May as well say again
- 1:30:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you literally, she's so, she's not called me.
- 1:30:52[SPEAKER_00]: Don't, don't come by my house.
- 1:30:55[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:30:56[SPEAKER_00]: John, we're so rich.
- 1:30:59[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, what is this?
- 1:31:00[SPEAKER_00]: That everyone be good.
- 1:31:01[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, I know, I don't know it.
- 1:31:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm proud to say that.
- 1:31:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know it.
- 1:31:06[SPEAKER_00]: Um, great.
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_00]: We have a little bit of Kelsey.
- 1:31:08[SPEAKER_00]: How about that?
- 1:31:09[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if you be at a time like this, Nate walks back in his house where his dad, oh, unconscious I'm a floor excuse me for not having a whole lot of whimsy when I talk about this serious moment Fucking bitch anyway, he he finds his dad unconscious I'm the floor dad dad I'm a one and so then they do and then we go back to last year's Thanksgiving and They're all back at the water place and players gonna go up to the potatoes
- 1:31:35[SPEAKER_00]: Waste and still trying to add to it.
- 1:31:38[SPEAKER_00]: Also, who's that diva in the back?
- 1:31:39[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see her?
- 1:31:41[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 1:31:41[SPEAKER_00]: Little 11 year old is her flip phone in the couch like little Blair.
- 1:31:46[SPEAKER_00]: She's like taking pictures and sending his ending to Gaza girl.
- 1:31:50[SPEAKER_00]: She is oh my god.
- 1:31:51[SPEAKER_00]: I need to go back and find that.
- 1:31:54[SPEAKER_00]: So the captain is on the phone.
- 1:31:56[SPEAKER_00]: Who's this diva?
- 1:31:59[SPEAKER_00]: My notes.
- 1:32:01[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Capra's in the phone he has to slip out to take care of something.
- 1:32:03[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, Strasson, Serena's in Howard's shirt.
- 1:32:06[SPEAKER_00]: We've like a belt around it.
- 1:32:08[SPEAKER_00]: He says that shirt was made for you.
- 1:32:10[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know I bet you bet you think he's a.
- 1:32:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:32:13[SPEAKER_00]: Is that what I just should have been called.
- 1:32:15[SPEAKER_00]: He goes.
- 1:32:16[SPEAKER_00]: He goes Billboard.
- 1:32:21[SPEAKER_00]: No one's going to get that joke because we weren't recording when we spoke for an hour and a half yesterday on Mike.
- 1:32:28[SPEAKER_00]: And we were recording on purpose.
- 1:32:30[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, God, it's going to take forever to drag Phoebe out of this this unhappy mood season.
- 1:32:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then by the end of it, she was totally fine.
- 1:32:36[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, well, now we're busy.
- 1:32:38[SPEAKER_00]: So did I.
- 1:32:39[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like this, I thought I could have me done and guess what, Caroline, don't underestimate yourself.
- 1:32:43[SPEAKER_00]: You can cure her of anything.
- 1:32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Except apparently her murderer's tendency is okay.
- 1:32:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's only way.
- 1:32:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's just so funny I got to stick with it.
- 1:32:54[SPEAKER_00]: This whole episode.
- 1:32:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's, I know it's not the Halloween episode, but we didn't get a Halloween episode.
- 1:33:00[SPEAKER_00]: So this is true.
- 1:33:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the myths of this whole thing.
- 1:33:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:33:04[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, Archibald has to leave an Anzpist to me find out that Ann, like, she's like, I'll write you a check for whatever deal you're about to go make.
- 1:33:13[SPEAKER_00]: Which is like, I'm not going to get the commission.
- 1:33:15[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm not there to close it and she goes, well, forget it.
- 1:33:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'll write you a check myself.
- 1:33:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a really important.
- 1:33:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's very important.
- 1:33:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's amazing.
- 1:33:21[SPEAKER_00]: But it also we find out later.
- 1:33:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's patronizing and I sympathize with how that probably makes the captain feel and not that it's gender roles matter But it's probably also to this kind of guy super a mask.
- 1:33:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, they don't matter But they don't matter now and we know that but it doesn't mean that they don't like apply.
- 1:33:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's don't a mean like and But also she does kind of have a point like well, yeah, at this Thanksgiving day party with your family.
- 1:33:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you stay for dinner
- 1:33:52[SPEAKER_00]: like I find it out.
- 1:33:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's not about our deal here.
- 1:33:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to go by drugs.
- 1:33:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of like a part of what once Skyler knows Walter is making drugs and she's like goes through those periods of time where she's kind of okay with it.
- 1:34:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know exactly.
- 1:34:09[SPEAKER_00]: But this is not one of those times.
- 1:34:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's like ready to leave dinner and she's like
- 1:34:13[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's going to fucking be the man who knocks, but yeah, did you finish it by the way?
- 1:34:19[SPEAKER_00]: No, I have a couple episodes left.
- 1:34:20[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 1:34:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I just watched the episode that Aaron Paul won his third Emmy for.
- 1:34:25[SPEAKER_00]: Which one is that?
- 1:34:27[SPEAKER_00]: Confessions.
- 1:34:28[SPEAKER_00]: It's the one where he's like a gun or run away and changes identity and then he decides not to.
- 1:34:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then he finds out that Walter was the one that poisoned the kid.
- 1:34:39[SPEAKER_00]: And he like, people put all the pieces together and he goes and he's going to burn down Walter's house.
- 1:34:45[SPEAKER_00]: Good dude.
- 1:34:46[SPEAKER_00]: It gets so good.
- 1:34:47[SPEAKER_00]: He's such a good actor.
- 1:34:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's so good.
- 1:34:51[SPEAKER_00]: And he like, and he's like, and he's not at enough.
- 1:34:53[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he's not.
- 1:34:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's so good.
- 1:34:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, when he, the depth that he gave to that character that I know, he makes this like, meth head drug dealer.
- 1:35:05[SPEAKER_00]: We have a heart of gold, like you know what I mean, or it's just like you are rooting for him over the The chemistry teacher who high school chemistry teacher with a son who has a disability and he has cancer like which by the All right, so we should really feel for a wall, you know, well in the beginning then he starts acting like a fucking maniac Well, of course, but it's like that's that's what's so like craze about the shows.
- 1:35:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's like
- 1:35:30[SPEAKER_00]: Don't touch a book by its cover.
- 1:35:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can kind of be the other thing is crazy is like you're always rooting.
- 1:35:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm always rooting against tank, which is, I know.
- 1:35:38[SPEAKER_00]: Well, then it's much as I skyler or culture against tank and Skyler and it's like, these are the people who were like, can you just not be doing it?
- 1:35:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, well, it's like when you watch the traders and it's like, well, we are,
- 1:35:49[SPEAKER_00]: If we didn't know the critters were, and we weren't getting to know them and see all of them.
- 1:35:54[SPEAKER_00]: If I was a faithful, I grew it for the faithful, but in any other, but you're seeing, like we're seeing everything Walter's going, there's a, you learn to root for him.
- 1:36:03[SPEAKER_00]: Also Hank just is unlikable.
- 1:36:05[SPEAKER_00]: Even though I'm not even rooting for Walter, I'm rooting for Dessie.
- 1:36:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm in there just like a package of Dials, but I hate at the end when Hank thinks he can use Jesse to take Walter down, I'm like, stop.
- 1:36:16[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:36:17[SPEAKER_00]: Stop hitting them against each other.
- 1:36:18[SPEAKER_00]: Weeks of what's going on with Hank right now.
- 1:36:20[SPEAKER_00]: Hank knows that Walter's highs in Berg.
- 1:36:23[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, you need to finish at this week.
- 1:36:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so excited.
- 1:36:26[SPEAKER_00]: And then you need to start home land.
- 1:36:27[SPEAKER_00]: Chloe's watching it right now.
- 1:36:28[SPEAKER_00]: She finally did it.
- 1:36:29[SPEAKER_00]: And she's texting me like crazy.
- 1:36:31[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'll watch that.
- 1:36:32[SPEAKER_00]: But she's like, oh, my God.
- 1:36:34[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe it.
- 1:36:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's on better.
- 1:36:35[SPEAKER_00]: This was so good.
- 1:36:36[SPEAKER_00]: I really couldn't really get into it.
- 1:36:40[SPEAKER_00]: because I do like Saul.
- 1:36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was a character.
- 1:36:43[SPEAKER_00]: But for me, it came out like a while after I was done with Breaking Bad.
- 1:36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's why I wasn't like- It's longer than Breaking Bad.
- 1:36:49[SPEAKER_00]: Can I never watch you?
- 1:36:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know either.
- 1:36:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what that is.
- 1:36:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's a music.
- 1:36:53[SPEAKER_00]: Breaking Bad movie.
- 1:36:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, whoa.
- 1:36:56[SPEAKER_00]: I never watched it.
- 1:36:57[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy.
- 1:36:57[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we've talked about it after because I don't want to spoil anything.
- 1:36:59[SPEAKER_00]: But-
- 1:37:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we're at the hospital with Anne and Nate and Anne's like, uh, your father and his headaches.
- 1:37:08[SPEAKER_00]: He probably took a bite and then forgot and Nate goes, well, with what do you talk?
- 1:37:12[SPEAKER_00]: He could have cured 30 headaches and Anne is just so defensive like she's like, feels like everything is being blamed on her and she explains to Nate, she's like, look, he has an and I am like, Anne, yes.
- 1:37:23[SPEAKER_00]: because she's like, he's never had to earn a dime.
- 1:37:25[SPEAKER_00]: All he fucking had to do was put on a suit, sit behind a desk and knock it arrested and he couldn't handle that.
- 1:37:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like if I'm in, I would literally, but it is like, it is truly his like fragile masculinity like that was part of the issue.
- 1:37:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like that wasn't better for him.
- 1:37:39[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't realize that that wasn't fulfilling to him and it actually made him feel worse.
- 1:37:44[SPEAKER_00]: So he was finding his illegal ways to overcompensate and to write.
- 1:37:49[SPEAKER_00]: find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way to find a way
- 1:38:07[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so Nate's like, well, I don't know what the answer is, and I'm like, Nate, you shouldn't have to come up with the answer.
- 1:38:13[SPEAKER_00]: Again, you are the freaking little kid.
- 1:38:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then we find out the captain's awake and he stops his mom and he's like, I'm going to go check on him.
- 1:38:21[SPEAKER_00]: the loft and bringing Blair to the loft is a crazy move.
- 1:38:25[SPEAKER_00]: I thought so too.
- 1:38:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm shocked Blair wanted to come.
- 1:38:28[SPEAKER_00]: I know that's how bad things are.
- 1:38:30[SPEAKER_00]: And they walk right in a Jenny's room and Jenny goes, Blair, Jenny's like, yeah, she's so energetic, but before they have a stop of so funny, they walk in and they interrupt a conversation that's like, we're not related, right?
- 1:38:46[SPEAKER_00]: Look at your lyrics.
- 1:38:49[SPEAKER_00]: She goes, they're kind of roughly, I'm like, oh, great.
- 1:38:52[SPEAKER_00]: So then they come in and they're kind of explaining to Serena, like our parents yesterday, don't worry, we're not related, Eric says, like, nor my roots and where goes, you know, it's really weird.
- 1:39:01[SPEAKER_00]: There is a garage door in the middle of your room.
- 1:39:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then she goes, oh my God, is that sadric?
- 1:39:09[SPEAKER_00]: And Dan's like in this day, I didn't think this day could get any fucking worse.
- 1:39:12[SPEAKER_00]: And so, Serena, like, you know what, let's go about, let's get out of this fucking penthouse, let's go get something to eat.
- 1:39:16[SPEAKER_00]: It player does also say, suddenly, my family doesn't feel so bad.
- 1:39:21[SPEAKER_00]: You guys are like going to be in bread, okay, I'm in.
- 1:39:25[SPEAKER_00]: So the adults are still fighting, and they're sort of talking, and Lily goes, because Alice is like, there's not really a difference between a physical affair and an emotional affair in Lily's case.
- 1:39:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, there is an emotional affair.
- 1:39:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's unnecessary to keep a marriage alive.
- 1:39:38[SPEAKER_00]: And what Alice is saying?
- 1:39:41[SPEAKER_00]: What Alice is trying to say?
- 1:39:43[SPEAKER_00]: is that what they did is the same.
- 1:39:46[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Lily and Rufus had an emotional affair.
- 1:39:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they barely did anything.
- 1:39:51[SPEAKER_00]: I, well, from what we saw, like, I guess, yeah, if I'm Allison, it would make me uncomfortable and I guess if I'm Rufus, I would know that I would make her uncomfortable, but also giving the circumstances, I don't really care.
- 1:40:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what does Jewish guy is in Osbot?
- 1:40:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it just isn't at all.
- 1:40:08[SPEAKER_00]: And she wasn't to be so badly.
- 1:40:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's exactly.
- 1:40:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like when she heard that they had kissed, she was like, oh, this is my in.
- 1:40:14[SPEAKER_00]: This is my to get to this.
- 1:40:16[SPEAKER_00]: My, um, the Malik get to be mad.
- 1:40:19[SPEAKER_00]: A man was like answering your house phone.
- 1:40:21[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:40:22[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 1:40:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's honestly this episode.
- 1:40:24[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like the theme of this episode is adults being unable to take accountability for like their shit, you know what I mean, like that's sort of and like how it affects their kids like that's honestly what we're seeing in this episode and then it tells Rufus you got to make a choice.
- 1:40:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, me or her.
- 1:40:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's me or her.
- 1:40:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's me or her.
- 1:40:43[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and if you want to make this work, you gotta, you gotta choose.
- 1:40:46[SPEAKER_00]: So the kids all go to a restaurant, they're all debriefing about the parents.
- 1:40:49[SPEAKER_00]: They're eating sandwiches, and it's like, this cute moment.
- 1:40:53[SPEAKER_00]: They're honestly all really having, like, fun.
- 1:40:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's giving the kids table at a fun Thanksgiving, you know?
- 1:40:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and it's cute.
- 1:40:59[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's like all the different families that like never really, like, they don't know that much in common, but they, it's Thanksgiving, so they're stuck together and whatever.
- 1:41:08[SPEAKER_00]: Lily shows up.
- 1:41:09[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't want to go home.
- 1:41:09[SPEAKER_00]: She needs French fries.
- 1:41:11[SPEAKER_00]: She asks the waiter for fries and to keep him coming and then Dan and Jenny leave and then Blair leaves too.
- 1:41:16[SPEAKER_00]: And she is like, thank you, Serena, the sandwich was delicious and I have fun and it's like, and she's going to talk to her tomorrow.
- 1:41:22[SPEAKER_00]: We add.
- 1:41:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm calling Dr. Sherman tomorrow.
- 1:41:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, which is just a head is like,
- 1:41:26[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I just want Blair to be okay.
- 1:41:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 1:41:30[SPEAKER_00]: And then when he's wiping down the chairs and Srinegas is not really necessary from what I've heard you've been in place as far dirtier than this.
- 1:41:36[SPEAKER_00]: Srinegas loves it.
- 1:41:37[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, tell me everything.
- 1:41:39[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 1:41:39[SPEAKER_00]: I want to be just like you mom.
- 1:41:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now I think you're cool again.
- 1:41:41[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:41:42[SPEAKER_00]: This is not cool.
- 1:41:44[SPEAKER_00]: When they were before giving who says the hump days aren't cool?
- 1:41:47[UNKNOWN]: They're all.
- 1:41:48[SPEAKER_00]: But four day and leaves they're all like he's telling everybody like, yeah, he's still like Talked to my dad and he'd be like, you know, I used to date a girl a lot like three and which is another thing where I'm like So Jenny, how did you not realize there wasn't anybody else?
- 1:42:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, that's a really good point.
- 1:42:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's a very good point, exactly.
- 1:42:06[SPEAKER_00]: She heard what she wanted to hear.
- 1:42:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of cute, Dan and Jenny put Blair in the taxi.
- 1:42:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, first of all, it's cute, they waited for her and she didn't go see a later Waldorf.
- 1:42:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, in also, a parallel to the beginning when Blair has her hearty and Serena into a cab.
- 1:42:21[SPEAKER_00]: She's snaring at him and she gets in the car and then this time.
- 1:42:23[SPEAKER_00]: And how far we have come in a year?
- 1:42:25[SPEAKER_00]: My, how things change.
- 1:42:27[SPEAKER_00]: Jenny is like, I shouldn't have asked mom to come home.
- 1:42:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like a yabbit, crazy, correct, big mistake.
- 1:42:34[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, it's just so weird.
- 1:42:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think our parents have lives before us before each other.
- 1:42:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then they run into, I mean, in New York, as I love this freaking setting, we're going to run into everybody.
- 1:42:44[SPEAKER_00]: Rufus and Alice and her walking down like they are like pushing each other.
- 1:42:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're like They're like jumping around skipping their tossing literally pig skin all Rufus had to do it was like say Okay Alice and I choose you and she's like all right and we're gonna snap back and it's like none of it ever happened Let me tell you for me.
- 1:43:00[SPEAKER_00]: Thanksgiving's ruined
- 1:43:01[SPEAKER_00]: We're not playing football now.
- 1:43:03[SPEAKER_00]: We're not having a scrimmage and they all kind of joke about last year's football game and I'm like wow you guys were together last football and the girls go ahead and then Dan and Rufus hey did you hear what Jenny said?
- 1:43:15[SPEAKER_00]: Jenny goes come on mom let's go what kind of plays
- 1:43:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's what he's, let's go.
- 1:43:20[SPEAKER_00]: What kind of plays?
- 1:43:22[SPEAKER_00]: She's so funny.
- 1:43:23[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, hey, Dan's mad at his dad for keeping it from him.
- 1:43:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, I think that might have like screwed up things with me in Serena a little bit.
- 1:43:31[SPEAKER_00]: And he was, you're a hungry man.
- 1:43:32[SPEAKER_00]: No daughter of Lily's could resist.
- 1:43:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like it.
- 1:43:36[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 1:43:36[SPEAKER_00]: So where gets home?
- 1:43:38[SPEAKER_00]: She finds her mom in the kitchen and her mom was like, oh, I was like, so worried about you.
- 1:43:42[SPEAKER_00]: And she admits she's like, I shouldn't have lied about your dad and she pulls up his envelope and she's like, this is your divorce papers.
- 1:43:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm supposed to sign them and I haven't yet.
- 1:43:53[SPEAKER_00]: And Blair has to be like, who Nate always has to be, you know, the parent here.
- 1:43:57[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, mom, he is living in Europe with a man.
- 1:44:00[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, he can't rise to you.
- 1:44:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's a press.
- 1:44:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, and I haven't even been like this line.
- 1:44:07[SPEAKER_00]: Ellen says, I'm not surprised.
- 1:44:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm surprised about how it makes me feel.
- 1:44:12[SPEAKER_00]: And it's this moment that I think is really important, important for Blair to see.
- 1:44:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:44:17[SPEAKER_00]: Because she's,
- 1:44:20[SPEAKER_00]: Eleanor is so hard and like gold and I not very emotional, openly at least, and so I think for Blair to see the effect that this is how her mom gives her the opportunity to be more compassionate towards her.
- 1:44:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:44:34[SPEAKER_00]: And humanizes her in a major way.
- 1:44:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:44:37[SPEAKER_00]: To where's it?
- 1:44:37[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is hard for you too.
- 1:44:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yes, and I think it's also like it's tough because Blair sees her mother as this like savvy business woman in this tough this I'm a I'm Jenna Rink Rink big-time magazine editor.
- 1:44:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a tough bitch.
- 1:44:54[SPEAKER_00]: She sees her mom as a tough bitch and it's like That you know no kid wants to have to see their parent not that way.
- 1:45:00[SPEAKER_00]: I know parent wants their kid to see them not that way either
- 1:45:03[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like we understand also like why Blair is the way that she is and like the wall dwarf women are strong and they like whatever so it's just like to have this moment of admitting
- 1:45:16[SPEAKER_00]: not a weakness.
- 1:45:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's ultimately a strength, but yeah, that like something could make her feel.
- 1:45:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, I feel like for Blair, it's like, she sees her mom as it's like unfeeling.
- 1:45:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it's also like, here's something that Eleanor didn't decide.
- 1:45:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like, she's like, my mom decides everything in the world.
- 1:45:30[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, that's a good point.
- 1:45:31[SPEAKER_00]: She didn't.
- 1:45:32[SPEAKER_00]: She was this.
- 1:45:33[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a situation that you're both now in.
- 1:45:35[SPEAKER_00]: And she goes, he was my hero for almost 20 years.
- 1:45:40[SPEAKER_00]: And like, it is like, I mean, how devastating that would be.
- 1:45:42[SPEAKER_00]: And she said,
- 1:45:43[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't face them during the holidays.
- 1:45:45[SPEAKER_00]: It was always our happiest time.
- 1:45:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I was really scared to let you choose between us because then I'd be entirely alone.
- 1:45:51[SPEAKER_00]: And that's like she knew, again, Blair's always going to choose her dad, you know, over her.
- 1:45:56[SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, but it does.
- 1:45:58[SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't even see you.
- 1:45:59[SPEAKER_00]: That opportunity had happened.
- 1:46:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not comparing the actual personalities of these people.
- 1:46:05[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's, I think when Kim opened up about this, it showed a really interesting thing about children of divorce.
- 1:46:13[SPEAKER_00]: Kanye gets to be the fun parent in there in there bring like the kids idolize him and look up to him and Kim has to be the bad guy, which is and she'll do all this stuff that they're gonna learn one day and they're gonna realize oh my god.
- 1:46:27[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of like if he literally did choose her dad and go to Paris.
- 1:46:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to be alive, it's really quickly.
- 1:46:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:46:35[SPEAKER_00]: And it's honestly like a gift that Eleanor gave Walter that she didn't let that happen.
- 1:46:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like she protected him from that by letting Blair think that Eleanor's the bad guy here.
- 1:46:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, even though it's obvious what happened.
- 1:46:47[SPEAKER_00]: And it's also like, you know, we see how Blair talks about this in the beginning of the season where she's like,
- 1:46:52[SPEAKER_00]: yeah well she lost 15 pounds and got a face lift it's been good for her you know and it's like that's how they've been talking about it and for us to actually get this memory pull back the curtain and they hug and Eleanor like squeezes her even tighter and just when we see these mother got her moments between them it just like really took us in my heartstrings.
- 1:47:11[SPEAKER_00]: So we go to the hospital, Nate's going to remember with his dad.
- 1:47:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's waking up and he's like, look, we're all going to be okay.
- 1:47:18[SPEAKER_00]: But like, this is now an intervention.
- 1:47:20[SPEAKER_00]: And he says, Dad, we're not doing this anymore.
- 1:47:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:47:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're just not.
- 1:47:23[SPEAKER_00]: I know we tried to try to say the same thing and said, which is, I just drink whiskey.
- 1:47:28[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot to take it right.
- 1:47:29[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot, like, whatever.
- 1:47:31[SPEAKER_00]: And Nate's just like, I'm over this.
- 1:47:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then have to apologize to me, Dad.
- 1:47:34[SPEAKER_00]: I thought you were dead.
- 1:47:36[SPEAKER_00]: I found you and I thought my dad was dead on the floor.
- 1:47:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and he's like, I just, I need you to be honest, and he says, and I think this line is really key.
- 1:47:44[SPEAKER_00]: He goes, it might not always seem like it, but we need you.
- 1:47:47[SPEAKER_00]: Dad don't need you, and it's like, that moment where it's like, yeah, like for the man of a house and this really powerful family to feel like they don't need him, and they don't need him to go close that deal for commission, because they're just going to write a check, you know, anyway, and like he didn't need to do anything.
- 1:48:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's upset behind a desk and pretend, and the truth is, it's like, it's not just about
- 1:48:09[SPEAKER_00]: Nate wants his dad and they do need you.
- 1:48:11[SPEAKER_00]: They might not need you for money like because they had and but now like they need there are other things that you do that matter.
- 1:48:18[SPEAKER_00]: So the last year we see Nate leaving the wall dwarves and William Eric come up looking for Serena and Lily says oh too much turkey because Serena is a snake in the chair.
- 1:48:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:48:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then we go to present day, Vanderwood since, and we start hearing no lead a fairy tale, the amazing, amazing song.
- 1:48:38[SPEAKER_00]: And we get a montage of the Vanderwoods and seating fries, which by the way, those fries look divine.
- 1:48:43[SPEAKER_00]: They look so good.
- 1:48:44[SPEAKER_00]: They kind of are giving permannies fries.
- 1:48:46[SPEAKER_00]: They got a look a day.
- 1:48:47[SPEAKER_00]: They look a slash atrias, like a mix between the two.
- 1:48:50[SPEAKER_00]: So good.
- 1:48:51[SPEAKER_00]: How much would you kill for an atrias, kids, many grilled cheese with the fries?
- 1:48:54[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 1:48:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:48:57[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 1:48:57[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry to even bring it up.
- 1:48:58[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the fries look so good.
- 1:49:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then we see like we go to the Waldorf's house a year ago and Blair sends the wonder what's in the elevator and the Waldorf's now having tea and Walters rubbing Eleanor's feet and it's like the three of them and it's also just like
- 1:49:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't always think of Blair as like a family person and I guess it's just because we haven't gotten to see that because she's been around with her family.
- 1:49:20[SPEAKER_00]: To see these moments where it's like yeah she just like loves being with her family.
- 1:49:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's like just kills.
- 1:49:27[SPEAKER_00]: And so the make it a present day.
- 1:49:29[SPEAKER_00]: Blair and Ellen were are having tea and biscuits on their own and they look like they're really having a good time.
- 1:49:35[SPEAKER_00]: Then we go to last year at the home freeze Dan is like still out of it.
- 1:49:42[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is when Jenny goes Dan pass a mash And he takes a second to do it and then roovers is come on Dan I don't know family things getting so well-oiled machine Why does he ever have a transatlantic accent?
- 1:49:54[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of felt like Dan was about to say Like he was out of it because this was right after Vanessa broke his heart or something like I thought we were gonna circle back to that somehow
- 1:50:04[SPEAKER_00]: No, so think about Serena and then Jenny goes and maybe next year Serena will actually know your name.
- 1:50:08[SPEAKER_00]: And Dan says something that would have gotten me hit, just getting, just getting, just getting, but I would have gotten me sent to my room.
- 1:50:14[SPEAKER_00]: He goes and they'll actually have something to be thankful for.
- 1:50:16[SPEAKER_00]: That was crazy.
- 1:50:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy thing to say.
- 1:50:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's insane.
- 1:50:20[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:50:21[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 1:50:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then we go to the present, playing football, the music gets louder.
- 1:50:25[SPEAKER_00]: It is dog right now.
- 1:50:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:50:27[SPEAKER_00]: If I left this family, this would be great.
- 1:50:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's, but it, sorry, it is so Montgomery coded.
- 1:50:33[SPEAKER_00]: even though, like, the thought of that they would never call it a pig skin, of course, um, Arya wouldn't allow that.
- 1:50:39[SPEAKER_00]: But it is like, and I don't know that they're really playing football, but it's like this sentiment for something, they just feel so Montgomery to me.
- 1:50:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yes, even though they speak word dysfunctional family, the home free family thinks giving is a well-oiled machine.
- 1:50:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they always at the home free.
- 1:50:53[SPEAKER_00]: They always refer to themselves that way.
- 1:50:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's always like, well, this is how we do things here.
- 1:50:56[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just like you'll the same.
- 1:50:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they do.
- 1:50:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, which is funny because she's a cousin of Vanessa.
- 1:51:02[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she's a cousin of a Humphrey's, but that's how she met.
- 1:51:04[SPEAKER_00]: Then I said she's like, No, yeah, I mean, we're like, I'm excited.
- 1:51:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 1:51:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think she's related to the Humphrey's.
- 1:51:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:51:13[SPEAKER_00]: I realize it's been us, but they kind of have like a personality contest.
- 1:51:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like they don't really like each other.
- 1:51:20[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:51:22[SPEAKER_00]: True.
- 1:51:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:51:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna look up this inopsis for next week.
- 1:51:26[SPEAKER_00]: I also love the idea of Arya coming to Thanksgiving.
- 1:51:30[SPEAKER_00]: like kind of dropping to Vanessa that she is dating an older boy and Vanessa being like yeah well I'm dating a guy in the motorcycle gang so there um I think we're getting very close to meeting Georgina by the way which I literally cannot wait for her.
- 1:51:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited for that.
- 1:51:49[SPEAKER_00]: So next week's episode everybody season one episode 10 we have officially after the next week we all have made it through
- 1:51:57[SPEAKER_00]: Are you enjoying it anymore, Phoebe?
- 1:51:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I still miss my girls.
- 1:52:02[SPEAKER_00]: I know you miss your girls, but you know what I was thinking about?
- 1:52:04[SPEAKER_00]: And why I think that might be feeling that way?
- 1:52:07[SPEAKER_00]: Is I realized you for that show?
- 1:52:09[SPEAKER_00]: You had already like, you were also like actively watching it, not taking notes, and you knew it so well that you didn't have to take notes as much.
- 1:52:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 1:52:17[SPEAKER_00]: And like, I feel in all of this one, you're not watching for pleasure, like you're, but I also think,
- 1:52:23[SPEAKER_00]: with pretty little liars they did two things one they spelled they had to spell everything out because it was such a convoluted plot right and and so it fell a little bit slower paced yeah, and It felt taking notes.
- 1:52:38[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like I wasn't I like when I watched gospel, I feel like I've to write every single line Yeah, because every line is important whereas with pretty little liars there was
- 1:52:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's also like, it was just a little different.
- 1:52:50[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot more to analyze with the show, too.
- 1:52:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like, get into, I feel like then with pretty little layers, like these characters just feel a little bit deeper, like, okay, relax.
- 1:52:59[SPEAKER_00]: No, I know you're not too much.
- 1:53:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I just mean in the free form versus CW way, like the issues, I guess, or whatever.
- 1:53:06[SPEAKER_00]: But also the nuance, like you said, they kind of felt everything out and pretty little layers.
- 1:53:10[SPEAKER_00]: No, but not in this one.
- 1:53:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean more because like the A plot of it, like the mystery of it, they spell out.
- 1:53:18[SPEAKER_00]: with we get a lot of interesting dynamics to analyze in that show between.
- 1:53:24[SPEAKER_00]: No, you're on the piano, clearly.
- 1:53:27[SPEAKER_00]: And in Alice, like everything like that, I think with this show it just feels.
- 1:53:32[SPEAKER_00]: faster it feels like if we were taking if we were watching go more girls would probably feel similar yeah because they speak so fast and it's so script heavy yeah i really i'm i'm a spoke sorry i did not mean to say that it shows do you think it's not it's so like with this show it's so seen to scene to scene which were the episodes of pre-aduliers that we were always annoyed with yes like we would always be like like we just every's right going back and forth and back and forth this is like
- 1:54:00[SPEAKER_00]: Well, one thing I think will help me in each place.
- 1:54:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying you need to do this, but one thing I've noticed is like, when I do turn on gossip girl and just like watch it, like in the background I've started doing that, I feel like if I watch the episode like barely paying attention once and then later on I go to take notes, it feels like maybe I do that.
- 1:54:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because then I know like is this actually important because like when you're watching it, you're like everything feels important, but then like for this episode, I was like, I might know it's run as detail because I was kind of like, I know what like really matters in the episode.
- 1:54:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it might help because any could like kind of watch a little bit of enjoy it, and then you won't feel like as like you have to pause every second.
- 1:54:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 1:54:40[SPEAKER_00]: I also just think other than Blair.
- 1:54:42[SPEAKER_00]: They're not like the people.
- 1:54:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's true.
- 1:54:46[SPEAKER_00]: That like we and again, like we did the show for three and a half year however long it was we did pretty The liar so we had like a love you write for those characters even Mona and I think by the end of this We already talked about later, but I think like Blair and Georgina like there will be characters that we do We're gonna feel that way about them.
- 1:55:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's not gonna be as
- 1:55:08[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, it might be sad to say goodbye to Serena.
- 1:55:13[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not.
- 1:55:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:55:14[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, I hate Serena.
- 1:55:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to today, I guess.
- 1:55:16[SPEAKER_00]: You do, you totally do.
- 1:55:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:55:18[SPEAKER_00]: Next week, if you guys took up something in the oven.
- 1:55:20[SPEAKER_00]: A human body.
- 1:55:20[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:55:21[SPEAKER_00]: So next week's episode, season one episode 10, it's called High Society.
- 1:55:24[SPEAKER_00]: As the debut on Ball Approaches Serena is pushed to go when she learns that her grandmother will be there.
- 1:55:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no.
- 1:55:31[SPEAKER_00]: CC.
- 1:55:31[SPEAKER_00]: Better demands only create tension between the young lovers.
- 1:55:35[SPEAKER_00]: Meanwhile, Blair agrees to go to the ball with Nate, but only his friends, which leads him to the assumption that she is seeing someone else.
- 1:55:41[SPEAKER_00]: This episode is the one where we get got a secret, can you keep it?
- 1:55:44[SPEAKER_00]: ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
