- 0:27Hey, everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So let's talk about giving ourselves pep talks, you know,
- 0:34since we are the ones that are with ourselves all the time.
- 0:38It's an asset to yourself to be able to give yourself a pep
- 0:41talk, to really be able to kick your own butt when you need to.
- 0:45And say I've had enough of this or hey, you know what?
- 0:47There are great things out there.
- 0:49Or just that little bit. Like it doesn't matter what
- 0:52other people think they do. I know this is what's on my
- 0:56heart. This is what the universe and
- 0:58God want me to do. This is why I'm going to do it.
- 1:01And sometimes you have to give yourself your own pep talk in
- 1:04order to make it work. Because.
- 1:06Not everybody is going to be on board with giving you a pep
- 1:09talk. In fact, most people are not
- 1:10going to be on board with giving you a pep talk.
- 1:14Obviously, if you're coming here, you know this is a place
- 1:17to come and get your pep talks. But here's the thing.
- 1:20Most people don't have someone in their life that will lift
- 1:24them up and give them a pep talk when they need it.
- 1:27They'll give them all the reasons why it couldn't work.
- 1:30They'll give them the reasons why they should be cautious.
- 1:32They'll give them the reasons why they have to think about it.
- 1:35I always love that one. You need to.
- 1:36Think about it. And there is value in some of
- 1:39that pausing in the stage of laying things out.
- 1:43But when you're at the stage where you need someone to lift
- 1:46you up and give you that little oomph, the last thing you need
- 1:49is to hear that kind of stuff. And so that's why it's so
- 1:53important to remember you are your own best asset in this.
- 1:57You are with yourself all the time.
- 1:58You listen to yourself all the time.
- 2:01And you know, that's why that the mind chatter and the
- 2:03internal dialogue is so important to recognize who's
- 2:07driving your bus. What is that driver saying to
- 2:09the cast of characters that are on the bus with you.
- 2:13And if you are not paying attention to that and it's not.
- 2:16Filling you up and it's emptying you out each and every single
- 2:20day. And it can be detrimental to
- 2:22your wellbeing if you do not make sure you understand what
- 2:27that conversation is. So point is, you have the
- 2:31ability to give yourself a pep talk.
- 2:33So what do you say to yourself when you need a pep talk?
- 2:36What are the phrases that you're going to go to?
- 2:38Have you ever sat and wrote them down?
- 2:40Have you ever written out a sheet of paper that you can read
- 2:43or end up having, you know, recording?
- 2:46Recorded so you can listen to it.
- 2:48See, that's my favorite trick is I will do these things, I record
- 2:51them, and then I listen back to myself.
- 2:54If I'm in a fantastic state, I'll record a message to myself.
- 2:58It's in my phone. And then I can listen to it when
- 3:00I'm in a crappy state and I can hear it in my voice where I
- 3:04meant it the day I was having a great day.
- 3:06Because we all have good days and we all have off days and we
- 3:09all have really bad days. And what do we do?
- 3:13Well, we have to pull ourselves out of it.
- 3:16And the only way to do that? You can have somebody else give
- 3:19you a hug. Ultimately, we decide what we
- 3:23believe, and that's why it's so important to be able to give
- 3:26yourself the pep talk. Understanding that you hold the
- 3:30cards, you hold the language, you hold the magic.
- 3:33When it comes to that stuff, Nobody else can do it if they
- 3:36can give you the best pep talk in the whole world.
- 3:38But if you decide you're going to feel like crap, then you're
- 3:40going to feel like crap no matter what they tell you.
- 3:43That's just the essence of it and no matter.
- 3:46What you do and how much you do it, how many times you do it,
- 3:49there is nothing more important than choosing to be your
- 3:54advocate and what you're going to say.
- 3:55So homework for this is going to be short and sweet and right to
- 3:59the point. You're going to sit down and
- 4:01you're going to write out OK, what are the things I want to
- 4:04hear or remember or tell myself when I need a pep talk for
- 4:10myself? Now you can have a list of music
- 4:12that you want to play can create your own.
- 4:15You know soundtrack that you listen to all the time.
- 4:17You can change it up. Just like when you go to a
- 4:19workout class. They have their soundtracks.
- 4:21You can have your favorite quotes that you read and record
- 4:25in your voice. Your voice is incredibly
- 4:27important, so don't forget that part.
- 4:29Please make sure you actually remember to record yourself.
- 4:34With that you can write them out in your own handwriting.
- 4:37And then? Read them back every day you can
- 4:40write them on your bathroom mirror, whatever it is.
- 4:43Get yourself the pep talk. Get yourself that stuff that
- 4:47elevates you, brings you up to a different vibration, a different
- 4:51energy. And know you are directly
- 4:53connected when you do those things because that's where the
- 4:56magic is. All right, my friends, I hope
- 4:59you have a blessed day and get on this and I will see you
- 5:01tomorrow. Bye.
