- 0:02Speaker 2: Oh, baby, guys.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I missed you so much, you guys, and I'm so
- 0:11Speaker 1: happy that Donald you you you took the time to
- 0:13Speaker 1: put on the Mickey Mouse hoodie because I was worried
- 0:16Speaker 1: you might not be wearing it.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Dude, listen, this is a tradition.
- 0:20Speaker 1: This is your uniform.
- 0:21Speaker 3: This I jumped right back into play. Here's what are
- 0:26Speaker 3: you wearing? Man? You got a hoodie on?
- 0:28Speaker 1: You're gone, all three of us change. You seem to
- 0:33Speaker 1: you have your Scrubs podcast uniform.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, Daniel, where are you?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Daniel lives in New York. Now I'm in our new apartment.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Daniel, you live in New York Now you're still married? Right?
- 0:45Speaker 1: Yes, we moved together, dog, and all you guys were back.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Missed you so much. So much has happened, So I
- 0:59Speaker 1: don't know how we begin to do a podcast.
- 1:01Speaker 3: How do we start?
- 1:03Speaker 1: There's so much that's happened, But most importantly, I'll tell
- 1:05Speaker 1: you where we start. We start with that Donald Faison
- 1:09Speaker 1: has a hit new comedy.
- 1:11Speaker 4: I can do.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Don't druseph lause, Daddy, Yes, you're freaking John Cryer, Abigail Spencer,
- 1:19Speaker 3: Sophia Capana, Finn Sweeney Lenny Klak Show ran by Michae O'Malley.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I'm so happy for you man. Now, when is an on?
- 1:29Speaker 1: Tell everyone when it's.
- 1:30Speaker 3: On Tuesdays eight thirty following Night Court on NBC. Please
- 1:36Speaker 3: tune in.
- 1:37Speaker 1: It's doing really well. I saw the number.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Well it's yes, it's doing well. The critics hate us,
- 1:43Speaker 3: but you know what, that's how it goes.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You know what, though, I got to tell you that,
- 1:48Speaker 1: you know, you made a family sitcom that everybody can
- 1:52Speaker 1: watch with their kids. It's not exactly the kind of
- 1:54Speaker 1: thing critics stereotypically are going to go, you know, ape shit.
- 1:58Speaker 3: For somebody said to me and I and then it
- 2:01Speaker 3: made a lot of sense. If a critic likes your sitcom,
- 2:07Speaker 3: your sitcoms probably not going to last on television very
- 2:10Speaker 3: long because it's a very small group of people that
- 2:14Speaker 3: it's a niche type of sitcom. Because critics have seen
- 2:18Speaker 3: every sitcom that's ever been on, so yours is now niche,
- 2:22Speaker 3: and so now critics are like, it's very different. Right,
- 2:25Speaker 3: nobody wants a different sitcom. We are what you are
- 2:28Speaker 3: looking for when it comes to sitcom television, right.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And I also think that Amen and I also think
- 2:34Speaker 1: that parents are you know, you hear all the time
- 2:38Speaker 1: people being like, what the fuck can I watch with
- 2:40Speaker 1: my kids? Because everything on TV that's cool and that
- 2:43Speaker 1: people love is edgy. And you know, people are always
- 2:46Speaker 1: looking on for someon what can you put on after
- 2:49Speaker 1: dinner at at eight thirty? Or you could I suppose
- 2:52Speaker 1: you could TV. I was about to say tv R
- 2:54Speaker 1: you can stream it or whatever, and just I know,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I was about to say videotape and watched your kids
- 3:01Speaker 1: and you made that. You made a wholesome sitcom that's
- 3:03Speaker 1: funny that everybody can watch together, So don't worry about
- 3:06Speaker 1: negative views.
- 3:07Speaker 3: And is with John Cryer, dude, it's with freaking Sean Cryer.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Look if you follow me on Instagram or or my
- 3:15Speaker 3: career at all, Uh, there are two people in my
- 3:18Speaker 3: other than Harrison Ford. There are two people in my
- 3:20Speaker 3: life that had a big influence on me as a teenager,
- 3:24Speaker 3: and that was Kadeem Hardison as Dwayne Wayne and then
- 3:28Speaker 3: John Cryer as Ducky that character. I missed them together
- 3:33Speaker 3: and that's who I played in high school. You know
- 3:36Speaker 3: what I mean? Because nobody, let's keep it one hundred.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Nobody's who they really are in high school. We're all
- 3:41Speaker 3: you know what I mean, we're all playing a role.
- 3:43Speaker 3: But anyway, that was the character I decided to play
- 3:47Speaker 3: in a high school full of actors and stuff like that, musicians.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Did you wear the glasses with the fold up?
- 3:53Speaker 3: I did, but both of them had the glasses if
- 3:56Speaker 3: you recall.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Oh, they did them.
- 3:58Speaker 3: So that's the thing you like, you liked to not
- 4:01Speaker 3: just the glasses, the hat, the vest. Sometimes maybe wear
- 4:05Speaker 3: a bow tie to school. Maybe not, you know, you
- 4:08Speaker 3: know what I mean?
- 4:09Speaker 1: You know, I ran into your cast at a at
- 4:11Speaker 1: a Emmy's pre party, and I was so funny. I
- 4:15Speaker 1: was like, I was like your wife. I was like,
- 4:17Speaker 1: he's having so much fun with you guys, like clutching
- 4:22Speaker 1: my pearls, being like he just loves being with you. Guys.
- 4:25Speaker 3: We want you on the show. How about that?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Well, if you come on, if you write me a
- 4:29Speaker 1: funny cameo, I don't want to do a cameo. I
- 4:31Speaker 1: want a good part.
- 4:33Speaker 3: No, you have a good part.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm not coming into So the audience goes, woo.
- 4:37Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no no, no, it's not gonna
- 4:40Speaker 3: be that.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I want a good part.
- 4:42Speaker 3: You have, you have way too much television talent.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I just don't want to be a Woo Donald
- 4:49Speaker 1: basically in all aspects of my life. I'm just trying
- 4:51Speaker 1: to do things where I'm not just a boo.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Yeah, no doubt keep it one hundred after sex and
- 5:00Speaker 3: woo is necessary.
- 5:03Speaker 1: To say woo after you have sextion? No, she has
- 5:07Speaker 1: an orgasm and she's like whoo.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Imagine imagine your spouse after or whoever, your lover, whatever,
- 5:17Speaker 3: you guys have, just whoever it is after you have
- 5:20Speaker 3: just climax and they have climax, they go whoo it.
- 5:31Speaker 1: I missed you. You look hot at the Critics Choice Awards.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I saw you.
- 5:34Speaker 1: That was a nice suit.
- 5:36Speaker 3: You looked hot at all of these parties.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I saw you at well, I only went to a
- 5:39Speaker 1: couple I did. I did have a really cool hang
- 5:42Speaker 1: with your with your boy Harrison last night.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Yeah you did. You guys look like you were doing it.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Pig come out on stage at the critics started to
- 5:49Speaker 3: cut you off, Buddy, I come, and this is the
- 5:51Speaker 3: last time I promised. I'm just excited about.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't know how we're going to do a show.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I have nine thousand things to talk about. I'm not
- 5:57Speaker 1: going to do an hour and a half show.
- 5:59Speaker 3: But go ahead. All of this stuff is new to me.
- 6:02Speaker 3: When Scrubs was going on, you were the star of Scrubs.
- 6:05Speaker 3: You know, well it was an ensemble, but you were
- 6:07Speaker 3: the head of the ensemble and you were the star
- 6:09Speaker 3: of it, and so you had to do and you
- 6:11Speaker 3: were there all the time, and so the show really
- 6:14Speaker 3: surrounded about around you, and you had to go and
- 6:16Speaker 3: do all of this press and stuff like that and
- 6:18Speaker 3: get out and do you know. But we were young
- 6:21Speaker 3: and we had the stamina for it and everything. Right.
- 6:24Speaker 3: So now as an adult, it's a joke that was
- 6:28Speaker 3: made at the award show. But you know, when I
- 6:31Speaker 3: was younger, I definitely wanted to be at the award
- 6:34Speaker 3: shows and get my picture taken and everything like that.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Now I get it, it's for pressed and we're there
- 6:39Speaker 3: to make everybody happy, you know what I mean, at
- 6:42Speaker 3: the studio for the network, you know, so the fans
- 6:45Speaker 3: can see us and know that our show is out
- 6:46Speaker 3: there and everything. But I wanted to be at my kids'
- 6:49Speaker 3: basketball game. Anyway, I got dressed up, we go out
- 6:53Speaker 3: and everything, and it's exactly when I was younger what
- 6:57Speaker 3: I wanted. You know what I mean. It was exactly that.
- 7:00Speaker 3: As an adult. You know, I'm literally in between the
- 7:04Speaker 3: show at the critics' choice, I'm watching on Live Barn
- 7:08Speaker 3: my kid play basketball and everything like that and looking
- 7:11Speaker 3: up with you know what I mean, trying to you know,
- 7:13Speaker 3: applaud when I'm supposed to applaud and stuff.
- 7:15Speaker 1: You know when I was younger, you don't want to
- 7:17Speaker 1: get caught on the camera because people won't know it's
- 7:21Speaker 1: something as sweet as watching your kids basketball. Be like
- 7:23Speaker 1: this motherfucker's board and watching watching.
- 7:25Speaker 3: The sports right right, exactly, but it's exactly what I wanted.
- 7:30Speaker 3: All of the big celebrities and stars were in the
- 7:33Speaker 3: house at this Bad Boy, and it was like, wow,
- 7:35Speaker 3: this is this is cool, this is great all right,
- 7:40Speaker 3: but uh yeah, I really wanted to be watching my kids.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That's very sweet. You're a very good dad, and that
- 7:47Speaker 1: makes my heart warm. But I also want to say
- 7:49Speaker 1: you looked great. I like that suit. That was a
- 7:51Speaker 1: nice suit.
- 7:52Speaker 3: I like Paul Smith's baby.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah he looks great.
- 7:55Speaker 3: And you know I'm gonna be on can be honest
- 7:56Speaker 3: with you real quick.
- 7:57Speaker 1: We don't want any lies on the show.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Okay, here we go. That's something that wardrobe put together
- 8:03Speaker 3: for me, mashup of Dolce and Gabana Paul Smith. I
- 8:10Speaker 3: think I had my shoes would definitely Louse Biton because
- 8:13Speaker 3: the bottoms were red with the bottoms biton Chris Carpet
- 8:18Speaker 3: like woo like how I like it? After sex?
- 8:26Speaker 1: Oh so you had lou batons and uh green, it
- 8:30Speaker 1: was like a green velvet.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yeah, Paul Smith. Yeah, and then Doce and Gabana pants. Yeah.
- 8:36Speaker 1: You clean up nice, baby, you clean up nice.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Thank you. Haircut by Vaughan.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I got to go to a I went to the
- 8:45Speaker 1: Apple party last night after them, and that was really cool.
- 8:49Speaker 2: You looked fire, dude, Really.
- 8:52Speaker 3: You look handsome. That picture you, Harrison and Bill, you
- 8:55Speaker 3: guys look like the rat, the rat pat type. It
- 8:58Speaker 3: was dope.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Thank you. I just threw on a little something. And
- 9:04Speaker 1: the cool thing is, I'm really We're about to gear
- 9:05Speaker 1: up and start shrinking season two and I am directing
- 9:09Speaker 1: episodes number three and number four, So I'm really excited.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I love the show. I love the cast, and you
- 9:18Speaker 1: know it's just cool, you know, with Harrison in all
- 9:21Speaker 1: that mayhem, you know, with all these people vying for
- 9:24Speaker 1: his attention. I had this kind of cool moment where
- 9:26Speaker 1: you like did that thing where you're like, you know,
- 9:29Speaker 1: called me over and said, come sit down next to
- 9:32Speaker 1: me and talk to me. So that's obviously very surreal,
- 9:34Speaker 1: even though I know him now, But it also was
- 9:37Speaker 1: cool just because gearing seeing the whole cast and like
- 9:39Speaker 1: getting excited, and I don't know, I'm stoked, you know,
- 9:43Speaker 1: those of you outside the business, I'm sure.
- 9:45Speaker 5: No.
- 9:45Speaker 1: We've been on strike for so long, and I'm just
- 9:49Speaker 1: so excited to go be creative because it's been so
- 9:52Speaker 1: long since I've been able to do anything creative and
- 9:55Speaker 1: I love this show and I have so much fun
- 9:58Speaker 1: doing it. And then Last So Too, I mean, even
- 10:00Speaker 1: though I'm just a minuscule part of it, it was
- 10:03Speaker 1: just kind of cool to see all the Last Soo
- 10:06Speaker 1: gang from For those of you who don't know, I
- 10:08Speaker 1: directed an episode of Last so season one, episode Too,
- 10:12Speaker 1: the Biscuits. I did. It might be your favorite episode
- 10:16Speaker 1: because it's the one about the biscuits. Just you know,
- 10:19Speaker 1: but I know it's cool to see the whole Lasso
- 10:20Speaker 1: gang because when I directed Last so none of it
- 10:23Speaker 1: had happened yet, you know. I I directed episode two
- 10:26Speaker 1: of season one, and I was like, this show is
- 10:28Speaker 1: cute and funny and everyone's really talented, and I think
- 10:30Speaker 1: people are gonna like it. And I left, you know,
- 10:34Speaker 1: so I'm seeing all that. I'm seeing all these cast
- 10:36Speaker 1: members being like you guys, remember like they were all
- 10:39Speaker 1: unknown other than obviously obviously Jason, and and and and
- 10:44Speaker 1: Hannah was a bit known, and I and Juno sorry
- 10:48Speaker 1: some of them most some of them are known, but
- 10:50Speaker 1: you know, all the young guys. I was like, Oh
- 10:52Speaker 1: my gosh, you guys, what it's so crazy to see
- 10:55Speaker 1: you after all that's happened to you. That was just
- 10:57Speaker 1: a fun, full circle moment.
- 10:59Speaker 3: What's crazy about that is you you know, we talk
- 11:02Speaker 3: about it a lot early on when you're developing what
- 11:05Speaker 3: the show is. The first few episodes, the directors that
- 11:09Speaker 3: come in, they're really the ones that formulate what is
- 11:12Speaker 3: to come for the next if the show's success got
- 11:15Speaker 3: the look for the next few seasons. That biscuit thing
- 11:18Speaker 3: ran for really really, really really really long time, you
- 11:23Speaker 3: know what I mean, all the way to the end
- 11:24Speaker 3: almost I mean, well, at the end of the season when
- 11:26Speaker 3: they figured out that he's making them shits himself.
- 11:29Speaker 1: No, that was not That was the end of my
- 11:30Speaker 1: episode Donald, but thanks for being a big fan. More importantly,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I think what I got to do was set sort
- 11:36Speaker 1: of the heart of it. You know, the pilot is
- 11:38Speaker 1: really really funny of Lasso, but then season episode two
- 11:41Speaker 1: was the first one that was like, Oh, don't worry,
- 11:43Speaker 1: we're gonna break your heart too. Yeah, And I don't know,
- 11:46Speaker 1: It's just so cool and I'm happy for them, and
- 11:49Speaker 1: shrinking is is just so much fun to work on.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And then there's another new Bill Lawrence drop coming out
- 11:56Speaker 1: not till the summer, unfortunately, but I did. I did
- 11:59Speaker 1: a little care dark on his new Vince Vaughn show
- 12:01Speaker 1: called Bad Monkey that that's gonna be really good too.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I say one last thing about the critics choice. It
- 12:07Speaker 3: does involve Bill Lawrence too.
- 12:09Speaker 1: You can say whatever you want, this is yours.
- 12:10Speaker 3: I walk out on stage to present the award for
- 12:13Speaker 3: Limited Series with my cast mates from the Extended Family,
- 12:18Speaker 3: Abigail Spencer, John Cryer. We walk out on stage. Who's
- 12:21Speaker 3: in the front looking right at me but Bill Lawrence,
- 12:26Speaker 3: Neil Goldman, Harrison Ford, Brett Goldstein, and Jason Siegel. Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 3: So we walk out and right away, yo oh, they
- 12:38Speaker 3: start screaming at me. On stage with these guys, so
- 12:42Speaker 3: we start screaming back. I don't know if I don't
- 12:44Speaker 3: know what if it was, I don't know if it
- 12:46Speaker 3: got caught on television, but we're screaming live at each other.
- 12:49Speaker 3: It was really nice to run down when you know,
- 12:52Speaker 3: when it goes black and they're announcing the nominees and everything,
- 12:54Speaker 3: to give Bill a hug and everything like that.
- 12:56Speaker 1: It came you ran off the stage during the Parne
- 13:00Speaker 1: Wow game. That's really really, really scandalous.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Get back up on stage and and freaking John Cryer goes, Donald,
- 13:11Speaker 3: you were two hugs away from Harrison Ford. I looked
- 13:18Speaker 3: down Harrison standing dead center in the middle of the table,
- 13:22Speaker 3: and I'm like, should I made He made the right choice,
- 13:25Speaker 3: But oh man, I could have if I stayed a
- 13:28Speaker 3: little bit.
- 13:28Speaker 1: You know this season, Donald, because you know last season
- 13:32Speaker 1: was COVID and so many rules. This season, I think
- 13:34Speaker 1: you can come and visit us on the Warner Brothers
- 13:36Speaker 1: a lot and comes to High High and meet your
- 13:38Speaker 1: meet your favorite.
- 13:40Speaker 3: I would love that a lot. That would be nice.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Hell yeah, because I'll be that would be nice just
- 13:45Speaker 3: to kick it with him. I wonder if he still
- 13:47Speaker 3: smokes weed or if he ever did.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Yeah, he was a carpenter hanging out with Carrie.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Probably he wants uh, we were doing this bit in
- 14:00Speaker 1: the episode I directed where he had to keep slamming
- 14:03Speaker 1: a door and the and a little bit. I don't
- 14:06Speaker 1: know if I told this story before, sorry if I did,
- 14:07Speaker 1: But a little bit of the molding around the door
- 14:10Speaker 1: came off and everyone was like, somebody call a carpenter.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Ricos He's like, are you kidding me?
- 14:14Speaker 3: I got this.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I was a carpenter. And he starts kicking it and
- 14:17Speaker 1: kicking it and fixing the molding by kicking it back.
- 14:23Speaker 5: We definitely haven't heard that story.
- 14:25Speaker 3: No, that's the first.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Wow. What else we we got to talk about the
- 14:28Speaker 1: Emmy's that was. I personally loved Succession and I loved
- 14:31Speaker 1: the Bear, and so I was happy that they dominated.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I haven't seen Beef. I don't know if you guys
- 14:37Speaker 1: have seen Beef, but.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I've never watched any of these shows.
- 14:41Speaker 1: We know that Donald, the audience knows.
- 14:43Speaker 3: The hold on man the names of these shows. Okay,
- 14:48Speaker 3: so Succession not necessarily the name of that one, but
- 14:52Speaker 3: the beat on the theme song for that one is fire. Yes, yeah,
- 14:57Speaker 3: that's one of the most Fire's theme songs ever.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, I miss hearing it.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Beef is the dopest, one of the dopest names for
- 15:07Speaker 3: a show, because back in the day, beef was a
- 15:10Speaker 3: hip hop thing. Yo, you got beef. Yeah, I got beef.
- 15:13Speaker 3: You got beef. Yeah, we got beef. And that meant
- 15:16Speaker 3: you were ready to you you hated each other and
- 15:18Speaker 3: you guys were ready to throw down. It's gone so
- 15:21Speaker 3: far into the mainstream main vein vein.
- 15:27Speaker 1: You realize it is this. I haven't seen the show,
- 15:29Speaker 1: but it is about a beef between two people. Yes, Wow,
- 15:33Speaker 1: they cleaned up that. That is I mean, you gotta
- 15:36Speaker 1: watch it now, right, How could you not watch it
- 15:37Speaker 1: after it one?
- 15:38Speaker 3: Have to watch it now? Yeah, you gotta watch it now. Yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 3: all of these shows, freaking Succession, you got to go
- 15:45Speaker 3: back and watch that now.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I knew the moment, the moment I saw as a
- 15:51Speaker 1: director Connor's wedding on Succession, I was like, this will
- 15:54Speaker 1: win every single Emmy, and it did. I called it.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I called it back after the fucking cut to black
- 16:00Speaker 1: on that episode. That's a great one, right, Joelle, is
- 16:04Speaker 1: she right.
- 16:04Speaker 5: In the heart?
- 16:04Speaker 3: Oh god?
- 16:06Speaker 1: Oh Man and Kieren Culkin. I'm so happy for him.
- 16:09Speaker 1: He just seems like such a nice guy.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Sally. Since he was a kid, we went together, me
- 16:15Speaker 3: and that kid. Since he was a kid, I known him.
- 16:17Speaker 3: That's right, He's always been a good kid.
- 16:19Speaker 1: There's a lot of guys and gals, but I just
- 16:22Speaker 1: my brain went to the guys who had just been
- 16:24Speaker 1: doing this so long. They are finally having their moment,
- 16:26Speaker 1: like Jeremy Allen White and Evan Moss and Kieren. Yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 1: there's some.
- 16:32Speaker 3: There's someone around for a very long time.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I just I'm just so happy for people that have
- 16:37Speaker 1: been like journeymen, actors and actresses or as the as
- 16:43Speaker 1: the as the people say. I think this is correct,
- 16:46Speaker 1: Joelle getting their flowers.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Yes, yes, indeed, it's.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Lovely because it's very hard in this town. There's so
- 16:53Speaker 1: many ups and downs, there's so many years. I mean,
- 16:56Speaker 1: that was very moving when when Kieran was saying, like
- 16:58Speaker 1: the thing about he said something about my manager has
- 17:03Speaker 1: been with me even when no one would, you know,
- 17:05Speaker 1: consider me for things. And I just I'm always very
- 17:08Speaker 1: moved when people finally get their their moment of recognition
- 17:12Speaker 1: for their talent. I just find it very very moving.
- 17:15Speaker 5: Amen, it makes it all seem worth it.
- 17:18Speaker 3: But this is also a town that's very what's next,
- 17:21Speaker 3: you know what I mean. Of course, as as as
- 17:24Speaker 3: much as it's awesome that everybody won awards last night,
- 17:28Speaker 3: that ain't it's not over. We still got to keep
- 17:31Speaker 3: pushing and congratulations to everyone that won, obviously, but what's next.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Well, that's why they get a little time, Dolly, a
- 17:41Speaker 1: little time to hold their emmy and and uh and
- 17:44Speaker 1: and feel good. But about about a month they'll be like,
- 17:48Speaker 1: oh god, I'll never work again. It's true. You you
- 17:56Speaker 1: you have such when you have a hit, and when
- 17:58Speaker 1: you have something that works, you're like, this is the universe.
- 18:01Speaker 1: This is all the universe is ever gonna give me.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna even Chris Nolan was like, you know who
- 18:07Speaker 1: never won shockingly, he never won a Golden Globe and
- 18:13Speaker 1: he that's just crazy. And he was up there being like,
- 18:16Speaker 1: I think you know I'm not mistaken. He said something
- 18:19Speaker 1: like in case I'm never up here again, or something
- 18:22Speaker 1: like that. But uh, you know, you get your you
- 18:25Speaker 1: get your moment, and uh, I don't know. I like
- 18:28Speaker 1: award shows. I mean it's also silly, like what art
- 18:31Speaker 1: is better than other art. But I just love I
- 18:33Speaker 1: love actors and I love directors, and I just love
- 18:34Speaker 1: seeing it, seeing everybody be happy.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I hate that the award shows are so focused on
- 18:44Speaker 3: actors and not that I don't love actors and directors
- 18:47Speaker 3: and everything like that. I think that when we were younger,
- 18:51Speaker 3: there were so many categories, you know what I mean,
- 18:53Speaker 3: and the categories were seen on television. Yeah, and I
- 18:57Speaker 3: thought that was really cool, you know what I mean. Like,
- 19:01Speaker 3: you know, I ran into Phil and Chris who did
- 19:04Speaker 3: Spider Verse, and they got their award on the carpet.
- 19:08Speaker 3: They found out they got there, that's where they found.
- 19:13Speaker 1: No, which is insane. Do you think about the amount
- 19:16Speaker 1: of artistry and work went into that award.
- 19:19Speaker 3: And right exactly into one into that way into that movie.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Just think about how much how much time and effort
- 19:27Speaker 3: went into that and they found out on the red carpet,
- 19:29Speaker 3: you know what I mean. I know it's crazy to me.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I know, what about cinematography and and and costume designer productions.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I like the fact that those aren't presented. I guess
- 19:39Speaker 1: just you know, the I think they assume probably rightly.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I don't know that the that the public who's not
- 19:46Speaker 1: mega into TV and film doesn't care. They just want
- 19:49Speaker 1: to see the stars. I guess right.
- 19:52Speaker 6: Yeah, and we're not seeing a change in viewership numbers though, so.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I hope nobody nobody really cares.
- 20:00Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, I just feel like if you're if the
- 20:03Speaker 6: whole premise of your awards is to celebrate the community
- 20:06Speaker 6: of creatives.
- 20:07Speaker 5: And let's give it.
- 20:08Speaker 6: I mean freaking we miss Nick Offerman's speech for one
- 20:12Speaker 6: of the best guest roles in a drama ever because
- 20:15Speaker 6: he had to do it at the Creative Arts Emmys.
- 20:16Speaker 6: I just feel like, you know, it would be great.
- 20:18Speaker 6: I miss seeing costumes and makeup design and even the
- 20:20Speaker 6: sound people because they show the clips and it's like,
- 20:23Speaker 6: if you don't know how that stuff works, you get
- 20:25Speaker 6: these like really short, bite sized clips that are like,
- 20:28Speaker 6: oh this is I mean, the Oscars were my introduction
- 20:30Speaker 6: to the entertainment industry at large, like what are all
- 20:32Speaker 6: the jobs you can do? What are all the positions?
- 20:35Speaker 6: And if that's not there, I think kids who you know,
- 20:38Speaker 6: don't grow up inside of the entertainment industry miss out
- 20:41Speaker 6: on a lot.
- 20:42Speaker 5: And so I hope I hope Awards goes back to it.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I mean, not awarding the cinematographer. Everything you're looking appreciating
- 20:49Speaker 1: is the photography, and uh and the fact that that's
- 20:54Speaker 1: I don't even know if if there were, I'm sure
- 20:56Speaker 1: it was the creative art semis. I don't know what
- 20:58Speaker 1: one cinematography in television this year.
- 21:04Speaker 3: There's so many platforms too now where I don't know.
- 21:08Speaker 3: It seems like the award show has gotten gotten very
- 21:12Speaker 3: specific and it's who's in the audience. And that's cool,
- 21:15Speaker 3: because I'm not gonna lie. It was cool to see
- 21:17Speaker 3: Robert Downey Jr. The other night. That was really fucking cool.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I didn't say shit. I didn't say The only person
- 21:26Speaker 3: I spoke to really was Reese Witherspoon. I spoke to
- 21:31Speaker 3: her daughter, and I got another story I gotta tell.
- 21:35Speaker 3: So this happened. This is the last story I'll tell
- 21:37Speaker 3: about this Award show because this is the first time
- 21:40Speaker 3: ever in the history that this has ever happened to
- 21:43Speaker 3: me before by someone in my own race. We're sitting
- 21:47Speaker 3: there with a bunch of people at the table and
- 21:50Speaker 3: a young African American lady comes up to me and goes,
- 21:53Speaker 3: mister Gooding, I just have to say no, no, yes, oh.
- 22:00Speaker 2: God, you don't look anything like.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Look, yes, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry that happened to you.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I just love you. And I go, let me stop
- 22:10Speaker 3: you right there, young lady, I am not Cooba Gooding
- 22:14Speaker 3: Junior or his brother oh.
- 22:16Speaker 5: Mark, oh no.
- 22:19Speaker 3: And she immediately doesn't apologize or anything, stands up and
- 22:26Speaker 3: just walks away. Oh oh, walks away. I was like,
- 22:31Speaker 3: and so this is in front of John Cryer and
- 22:34Speaker 3: Abigail Spencer.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And this is she was so embowras she had to
- 22:38Speaker 1: just walk away.
- 22:40Speaker 3: It is the first time African American any woman has
- 22:43Speaker 3: ever done this this like, do you know how you
- 22:47Speaker 3: look like him?
- 22:47Speaker 1: Though?
- 22:47Speaker 3: I mean I congratulated, listen, like inside I'm laughing hard,
- 22:53Speaker 3: but the other part of me is like, I don't
- 22:55Speaker 3: even look like the brother man.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Like last night, a woman came up to me at
- 22:59Speaker 1: the Apple party and she said, and there's two women
- 23:03Speaker 1: and they were very lovely, and she said, I love
- 23:08Speaker 1: you so much. And I said, thank you. I really
- 23:10Speaker 1: appreciate that. She goes, it's just you're amazing, and I said,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I thank you. You're so sweet, thank you so much.
- 23:15Speaker 1: She goes, armchair expert is my favorite. She thought you
- 23:20Speaker 1: were Dax. Oh no, but I at least look I
- 23:25Speaker 1: at least look like Dax.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I don't look anything like Coobagat and Junior other than
- 23:28Speaker 3: the fact that we have similar skin color, and I
- 23:31Speaker 3: think his is a little bit more golden.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I'm so used to people thinking that I'm that I'm
- 23:36Speaker 1: Dax that I just I know they're gonna be embarrassed,
- 23:38Speaker 1: and so I feel bad almost telling them. Some sometimes
- 23:41Speaker 1: I just walk away, and other times I'm just like, oh,
- 23:45Speaker 1: you're thinking of of Dax. I. I also have a podcast.
- 23:50Speaker 1: It's called Fake Doctors.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Out.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I don't go into like my career. I'm always like,
- 23:56Speaker 1: you know, since you like podcasts, I feel like I'll
- 23:59Speaker 1: just yet one quick plug in with one person.
- 24:02Speaker 3: That's next, next, three years, next year.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I had a super cringe moment, by the way last
- 24:07Speaker 1: night that I came I'm not drinking. I haven't had
- 24:09Speaker 1: a drink in a very long time, but this is
- 24:11Speaker 1: the kind of thing you would have happened drinking. But
- 24:14Speaker 1: I I got home last night and I got in
- 24:17Speaker 1: the tub. I'm been taking a lot of hot baths
- 24:18Speaker 1: at the end of the day, which I really recommend.
- 24:20Speaker 1: That's I have like a great epiphanies in the tub.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Hot bath rules, A hot bath at the end of
- 24:25Speaker 1: the night, no phone, nothing, just sitting there thinking. And
- 24:28Speaker 1: you can have some I have some really great thoughts
- 24:31Speaker 1: and creative ideas, but anyway, this one was a bad one.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I pulled up, I went, I went with Amanda Clutes
- 24:37Speaker 1: to the Apple party and as we're pulling up, I
- 24:40Speaker 1: see this woman and again obviously one hundred percent sober,
- 24:44Speaker 1: and I go, oh my god, she this woman. I
- 24:47Speaker 1: have to tell you this crazy story being in my career.
- 24:49Speaker 1: She and I go in this whole story and we
- 24:52Speaker 1: get out of the car and I see the woman
- 24:53Speaker 1: and I start referencing the story and I start telling
- 24:56Speaker 1: her thank you for something she did for me when
- 24:59Speaker 1: I was first starting out, and she's just being so
- 25:01Speaker 1: sweet and nodding and kind, and I made like three
- 25:05Speaker 1: references and that I had told Amanda. So Amanda was like,
- 25:08Speaker 1: that's so sweet what you did for Zach. And we
- 25:11Speaker 1: go in to the party and parties gad and I'm
- 25:12Speaker 1: in my tub at the end of the night and
- 25:13Speaker 1: I went, I think, that's a fucking different woman, perfect
- 25:24Speaker 1: and it's so cringe. But she was so lovely. Because
- 25:27Speaker 1: I'm ninety nine point nine nine nine percent sure it
- 25:30Speaker 1: was not her, and and she was like nodding and
- 25:33Speaker 1: smiling and being lovely. But I'm like, that's not the
- 25:36Speaker 1: woman that I've think love And in the past I
- 25:40Speaker 1: could have like blamed that on, like you idiot, you
- 25:42Speaker 1: got two buzz Like no, I was stone hold.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Now you were fine, It's all right though, somebody feels good,
- 25:49Speaker 3: that's all right. But you saw to Dave Chapelle jump
- 25:50Speaker 3: off somebody's living. You were in somebody's dream. Somebody. You
- 25:53Speaker 3: were in somebody's dream, giving them all the affirmation they
- 25:56Speaker 3: ever wanted and everything like that from you.
- 25:59Speaker 1: It's so funny that I was, I think it myself,
- 26:00Speaker 1: like here I am went to a giant party night,
- 26:03Speaker 1: didn't even have a sip of booze. I'm sitting here
- 26:05Speaker 1: in my tub, my tub thinking session. And I'm like,
- 26:07Speaker 1: you still manage to say something so crinch.
- 26:12Speaker 3: What happens?
- 26:13Speaker 1: Shit happens?
- 26:14Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I mean one of the Nelson twins when
- 26:17Speaker 3: I was at sushi once came up to me while
- 26:20Speaker 3: I was eating and like a little bit more than
- 26:23Speaker 3: a whisper because of a sushi and you have to
- 26:25Speaker 3: talk louder than the people goes Alfonso.
- 26:34Speaker 1: You don't look like Alfonso either. I know it's crazy,
- 26:37Speaker 1: but dah, I have to take because we do look
- 26:40Speaker 1: like brothers. But I and I always try and be
- 26:43Speaker 1: sweet about it. But these people you don't look like. Yeah,
- 26:46Speaker 1: there's no story.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Not only have I been mistaken for somebody else by
- 26:49Speaker 3: a celebrity, but also by somebody from my own ethnicity.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to go back as Joel found the
- 26:57Speaker 1: cinematography Christian Sprang for Atlanta, which is incredibly shot, and
- 27:05Speaker 1: m David Mullen for The Marvelous Missus Maisel, which is
- 27:07Speaker 1: also incredibly shot. They do these epic wanners on Mazel
- 27:11Speaker 1: that are so cool, and I sent a video to
- 27:15Speaker 1: Bill of one of them like they because on Instagram
- 27:18Speaker 1: it knows I love cinematography, so it sends me all
- 27:20Speaker 1: these videos and the top half will be like the
- 27:22Speaker 1: shot and the set, and the bottom half is the
- 27:24Speaker 1: is the behind the scenes shooting the shot. And it
- 27:27Speaker 1: was one of these, like such an epic wanner like
- 27:30Speaker 1: all around a giant set and it went on for
- 27:32Speaker 1: like like probably five minutes, and I sent it to Bill.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I was like, we need to do shit like this.
- 27:38Speaker 3: But check this out. That's another show though, right there.
- 27:41Speaker 3: When You're Hot, Holy cow, You're hot. That won everything
- 27:46Speaker 3: in the beginning. Nothing's really changed, you just said it
- 27:49Speaker 3: so yourself. The shots are amazing. I don't doubt that
- 27:52Speaker 3: acting has changed or anything like that.
- 27:54Speaker 1: But it just had its moment, dude. It got so
- 27:56Speaker 1: much love. They won so many awards. It's just now
- 27:59Speaker 1: there's a new new kids on the block, you know.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Yeah man, all these shot everything, everything that was nominated
- 28:05Speaker 1: and beyond. There was so much good television this year.
- 28:09Speaker 1: But you know, things things become the zeitgey's holy shit,
- 28:14Speaker 1: have you not seen the Bear? I mean, have you
- 28:17Speaker 1: not seen Succession? They just become like the most beloved things.
- 28:21Speaker 1: It's so hard to make, as we've discussed on here
- 28:23Speaker 1: so many times, something for everyone. You're not. You know,
- 28:27Speaker 1: it's so rare that something breaks through and is so
- 28:31Speaker 1: universally loved and and and so that's what that's what happens.
- 28:38Speaker 1: It's just like and and sometimes sometimes the critics and
- 28:41Speaker 1: everyone loves something that audiences don't. And the Succession and
- 28:46Speaker 1: the Bear just as examples are our shows that just
- 28:50Speaker 1: everybody fucking loved.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Yeah man, this year, I'm congratulations to everyone who won
- 28:56Speaker 3: from that show, and I hope it pushes the needle
- 28:59Speaker 3: forward on your career, because that's what that's what we
- 29:01Speaker 3: all hope, you know what I mean. It's not just
- 29:03Speaker 3: the recognition of what you did, it's the possibilities of
- 29:07Speaker 3: what you can do, you know as well. I hope
- 29:10Speaker 3: it's all that everyone hopes for.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Amen, Donald, I just want to say that during the Holiday,
- 29:18Speaker 1: my movie A Good Person finally ended up on Prime.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Humble brag this.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Is it's a humble brag, but it's just a cool
- 29:26Speaker 1: ending because I I didn't know when the movie got
- 29:29Speaker 1: to Prime that it was gonna blow up like that.
- 29:32Speaker 1: But the second it got to Prime and then it
- 29:34Speaker 1: was the Holidays, so I was like, oh, it went
- 29:37Speaker 1: to number one on Prime and all of Prime movies
- 29:41Speaker 1: and it was the Holidays, and I was thinking, like,
- 29:43Speaker 1: oh my god, like the Christmas movies are going to
- 29:45Speaker 1: kick this movie out real quick. But at least I
- 29:47Speaker 1: got to number one, and then they dropped the Eddie
- 29:50Speaker 1: Murphy Original Christmas Movie, which of course was went to
- 29:55Speaker 1: number one, and I was like, Okay, my time here
- 29:57Speaker 1: is done. And then for like two weeks I was
- 30:00Speaker 1: it like number two. I was at number three, and
- 30:03Speaker 1: it was just like me and the Christmas movies chilling
- 30:06Speaker 1: in the top ten on Prime and it was just
- 30:08Speaker 1: such a good feeling. So I just wanted to from
- 30:10Speaker 1: the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone who's listening,
- 30:14Speaker 1: who took the time to see it, who took the
- 30:16Speaker 1: time to tell their friends to see it, because that
- 30:18Speaker 1: is I got a note from someone in Amazon. She's like,
- 30:21Speaker 1: that is so many. She said, millions of people are
- 30:25Speaker 1: seeing your movie, and that is more people than would
- 30:28Speaker 1: ever see it in the theaters. And that's just all
- 30:32Speaker 1: I could ever hope for. And so from the bottom
- 30:34Speaker 1: my heart, thank you.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Love that. Congratulations, Thank you guys. What we do as successful,
- 30:43Speaker 3: everybody wants the holy trinity of successful, you know what
- 30:47Speaker 3: I mean. Not only do the critics love it, but
- 30:50Speaker 3: the people love it, and then also they watch it
- 30:53Speaker 3: and they go to see it, you know what I mean.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Everybody wants that one successful but successful. If you just
- 30:58Speaker 3: get one or two of those, holy shit, how lucky
- 31:02Speaker 3: are you? You know what I mean. But to make
- 31:04Speaker 3: it accessible to where your fans can see it, you
- 31:07Speaker 3: know what I mean. It's hard to get to a
- 31:10Speaker 3: movie theater nowadays, and as much as I want people
- 31:12Speaker 3: in the movie theaters, as much as I want people
- 31:14Speaker 3: to go to movies, it's hard. You got to be
- 31:16Speaker 3: freaking Tom Cruise, you know what I mean, You got
- 31:18Speaker 3: to be It's difficult, you.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Know what I think the time. You know, I don't
- 31:22Speaker 1: know that i'll release when I make another indie drama
- 31:26Speaker 1: d I don't know that it'll even it'll even be
- 31:29Speaker 1: a thing where it goes to the theater. It's it's
- 31:31Speaker 1: it's just a it's like a dying it's a dying thing.
- 31:34Speaker 1: The idea of I don't know if it's okay. Well
- 31:37Speaker 1: I'm not just not just I'm going to be a
- 31:38Speaker 1: little fatalistic, if you don't mind. I think, as I
- 31:42Speaker 1: heard this famous uh screenwriter say, eventually the theater movie
- 31:47Speaker 1: theater is gonna be like the ballet in that there's
- 31:51Speaker 1: a select group of people that love it and adore
- 31:54Speaker 1: it and go. But it's it's not going to be
- 31:59Speaker 1: the norm for the viewing experience. And that maybe sound
- 32:03Speaker 1: very dire, but it's kind of happening. Of Course, there's Barbie.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Of course, there's top Gun. Of course there's Oppenheimer. There
- 32:10Speaker 1: are I'm not saying there won't always be these giant winds.
- 32:14Speaker 1: But if you look at the Macro, you know when
- 32:16Speaker 1: when Garden State came out of Sundance, there was there
- 32:19Speaker 1: was just a you went to go see what was
- 32:22Speaker 1: the cool movies that came out of Sundance. That was
- 32:24Speaker 1: a thing, right, you know, because they weren't going to
- 32:26Speaker 1: be on your TV forever and then you're gonna have
- 32:29Speaker 1: to buy them on Blu Ray or whatever it was.
- 32:32Speaker 1: The collection Now we haven't made that yet. I hope
- 32:35Speaker 1: that we're about to be twenty years. I'm hoping they
- 32:36Speaker 1: honor us with But anyway, my point is is just
- 32:40Speaker 1: that now what Donald's saying, you know, people, it's it's
- 32:43Speaker 1: it's the movie going experience is reserved for Obviously, you
- 32:48Speaker 1: take your kids to something that's kid friendly. Horror does
- 32:51Speaker 1: extraordinarily well still because people want to experience that in
- 32:54Speaker 1: the theater. Obviously, the big tempole movies, obviously the big
- 32:57Speaker 1: action movies. But I don't know that the indie the
- 33:00Speaker 1: indie drama has a theatrical life for much longer. Joelle,
- 33:05Speaker 1: I don't know what your thoughts on this as our
- 33:06Speaker 1: cultural reporter.
- 33:07Speaker 6: Sure, I think if you talk to a lot of
- 33:09Speaker 6: people who have worked at movie theaters for a long time,
- 33:12Speaker 6: time your twenty plus years. What they'll tell you is
- 33:14Speaker 6: there used to be folks who would come to the
- 33:15Speaker 6: movie every weekend. It didn't matter what was playing. They
- 33:18Speaker 6: would come on Friday nights and see the new releases.
- 33:21Speaker 6: They said, those people are not coming around so much anymore.
- 33:24Speaker 6: It used to be an affordable thing retirees could do.
- 33:27Speaker 6: It's a lot more expensive to go see a movie.
- 33:29Speaker 6: Even if you have an AMC like subs card where
- 33:32Speaker 6: you pay your twenty five dollars a month, you always
- 33:34Speaker 6: get three tickets a week. And so I definitely think
- 33:38Speaker 6: that it's changing. It'll be interesting even teenagers, you know.
- 33:42Speaker 6: I think typically that was like when I was a kid,
- 33:44Speaker 6: that was like our hangout spot, Like you went to
- 33:46Speaker 6: the movies.
- 33:46Speaker 5: On the weekends.
- 33:47Speaker 3: It was cheap.
- 33:48Speaker 6: Every town I grew up in a very small town.
- 33:51Speaker 6: Every local community had like its movie theater. I think
- 33:56Speaker 6: it's definitely going to change. It'll be interesting to see
- 33:58Speaker 6: how which I think with your Alamo draft houses and such,
- 34:01Speaker 6: it'll I think perhaps that will be where you're indie
- 34:03Speaker 6: movies go to get their special screamings things like that.
- 34:07Speaker 6: So we'll have to see. I'm looking forward to more
- 34:09Speaker 6: thirty five millimeters, Prince. Let's do it film happening?
- 34:13Speaker 1: Well, yeah, don't kill my dreams, talk about it, talk
- 34:16Speaker 1: about the Ballet's right, that's like a special ballet.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Let's go back to film. Let's yeah it all again.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Let's make it.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Only certain matters, only certain people get to shoot film,
- 34:33Speaker 1: and that that list is shrinking and shrinking.
- 34:36Speaker 3: It's true, it's tough, all right.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Should we we take a break? I soon, and then
- 34:41Speaker 1: we're going to talk about this very bizarre episode of
- 34:43Speaker 1: Scrubs exact?
- 34:45Speaker 3: Should we five six, seven eight? There you go? Please?
- 34:47Speaker 1: Donald, I think I just did.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Should I do it again? Yeah?
- 34:52Speaker 1: Give me a real to it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We
- 34:55Speaker 1: haven't been here in forever. Don't yell because there's women nursing,
- 34:58Speaker 1: but you know, give us a good one.
- 35:00Speaker 3: All right. For those of you who are nursing, now
- 35:02Speaker 3: might be the time to cover the movie times stories.
- 35:09Speaker 4: I'm not sure we made about a bunch of docs.
- 35:13Speaker 5: And nurses, he said, here's the stories.
- 35:21Speaker 4: So YadA here, yeah here, all right.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Welcome to Fake Doctor's real friends. We're running out of
- 35:34Speaker 1: Scrubs episodes, but fear not we uh we We really
- 35:38Speaker 1: love doing the show and we're gonna keep doing it.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Are we due for a break because we've been talking
- 35:43Speaker 1: for a while, right, Daniel, Joelle? Are you just gonna
- 35:46Speaker 1: put a fake one in there? I might put one
- 35:49Speaker 1: in the in the the the pre intro, but I
- 35:51Speaker 1: feel like that would be silly. I mean, I don't know.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Maybe we'll just very short breaks in the after, so
- 35:55Speaker 1: don't worry about it. We'll take one in like time.
- 35:57Speaker 3: You know, it would be really cool as if we
- 35:58Speaker 3: went five, six, seven and then went right to break.
- 36:04Speaker 1: I don't think that's good TV.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Russia, no pro pecia.
- 36:13Speaker 1: It starts to we don't do propecia.
- 36:15Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm making ship up.
- 36:16Speaker 1: You know what we do better help? Donald and I
- 36:19Speaker 1: have a secret project we're very excited about. We can't
- 36:22Speaker 1: tell you about. But or we could do the thing
- 36:25Speaker 1: where we beep it. Should we do that?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Donald, please.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Go, let's go and.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Beep that ship too, amazy boo.
- 36:43Speaker 1: So fans you will know what we're deeped very soon.
- 36:47Speaker 1: It's not a Scrubs reboot yet. I don't want to
- 36:49Speaker 1: get everyone peeked about that. Although Donald, you're on a
- 36:53Speaker 1: head show. I don't think you can even do a
- 36:54Speaker 1: Scrubs rebot.
- 36:56Speaker 3: You don't know what the fuck I can do. You
- 36:57Speaker 3: don't know what my contracts.
- 36:59Speaker 1: You don't know my life. I don't know my life. Yo,
- 37:04Speaker 1: well you have a high class problem that you're on
- 37:06Speaker 1: a hit show.
- 37:07Speaker 3: I just listen. I'm gonna tell you something right now.
- 37:09Speaker 3: I'm happy that we're back right now doing this because
- 37:11Speaker 3: we haven't done this since so long, and we get
- 37:14Speaker 3: to talk about such a great show. I know you're
- 37:17Speaker 3: going to say it's weird because you weren't in it.
- 37:19Speaker 1: No, I have more to say than it's weird the
- 37:21Speaker 1: fact that it wasn't in it. I think that the
- 37:22Speaker 1: good news for the audience is this is the last
- 37:25Speaker 1: what the fuck is this episode? Because next we're going
- 37:28Speaker 1: to go into Bahamas Part one two, and then we
- 37:32Speaker 1: go into My Finale parts one and two. So this
- 37:35Speaker 1: is the last one. I imagine.
- 37:37Speaker 3: I did not like this? Did you not like this episode?
- 37:40Speaker 1: Not at all?
- 37:41Speaker 3: And I'm not saying that because I, dude, I love
- 37:45Speaker 3: this episode.
- 37:46Speaker 1: You did? Yeah, this episode is so weird, and I
- 37:50Speaker 1: have a theory why it's so weird. I think they
- 37:52Speaker 1: were saving money for the Bahamas episodes. So they did
- 37:57Speaker 1: a bottle episode, which is when all takes place one set.
- 38:00Speaker 1: This all takes place in the ICU, the only and
- 38:03Speaker 1: I'm not just seeing you. You're obviously always funny, but
- 38:05Speaker 1: it's only Donald Sarah the interns, right, h. The rest
- 38:12Speaker 1: of the cast is not Dent Todd. The rest of
- 38:14Speaker 1: the cast is not in it. So that's a bottle episode.
- 38:17Speaker 1: And I think they were saving money to do the
- 38:18Speaker 1: Bahamas whatever.
- 38:20Speaker 3: I think this is what Bill had in mind for
- 38:24Speaker 3: what Scrubs could be after we left, After everyone left,
- 38:30Speaker 3: it could still be in the same area. It could
- 38:34Speaker 3: still have familiar faces and just new interns with different problems.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Like this story could have been told by any mixture
- 38:45Speaker 3: of the original of the of the cast, is how
- 38:49Speaker 3: I look at it. It could have been Elliott and JD.
- 38:53Speaker 3: It could have been Carla and Elliott. It could have
- 38:56Speaker 3: been you know what I mean. It's the mentors looking
- 38:59Speaker 3: out for the new people and all of the things
- 39:01Speaker 3: that that's, you know, That was how I looked at it.
- 39:04Speaker 3: I laughed really hard at the he went to Disneyland
- 39:08Speaker 3: without me. That laughed so hard.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Yeah, they got roller coasters. The roller coaster in the dark.
- 39:14Speaker 3: I laughed real hard at that. I laughed at the
- 39:16Speaker 3: heavy the heavy, I laughed real hard.
- 39:21Speaker 1: They should have cut through the heavy. That was so cringe.
- 39:24Speaker 1: I thought that was wild and cringe and should be
- 39:27Speaker 1: cut for future.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Do you know it was cringe? I don't do no jap,
- 39:31Speaker 3: I'm not doing my That was that was obercrint that.
- 39:38Speaker 3: I was like that.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Should you know how they took some ship out? Like
- 39:42Speaker 1: you know, they should have taken that one.
- 39:44Speaker 3: That's one of them. Oh my, yesh, let's take a break.
- 39:49Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. First of all,
- 39:59Speaker 1: the show episode makes absolute no sense. There's no voiceover.
- 40:02Speaker 1: At least they should have had one of you do
- 40:04Speaker 1: voice overs. No voiceover in the whole episode and then
- 40:07Speaker 1: also the end. But that's not a voiceover. Sarah's telling
- 40:11Speaker 1: you a story. It's not like it takes place just
- 40:14Speaker 1: in her head. You have one fantasy. It's just sloppy
- 40:17Speaker 1: to me, I mean, no offense to everyone. I think
- 40:20Speaker 1: what it was was a saving money.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Loved it.
- 40:23Speaker 1: I can't believe you loved this episode. Did you love
- 40:25Speaker 1: this episode?
- 40:26Speaker 5: I did not.
- 40:27Speaker 3: Do you know why I loved it? I loved it
- 40:28Speaker 3: because Sarah's monologue at the end. I thought it was
- 40:31Speaker 3: phenomenal what she says and why she would walk away
- 40:34Speaker 3: from it all. I thought that was dope. I thought
- 40:37Speaker 3: it was a really interesting thing to talk about, Like
- 40:40Speaker 3: we don't talk about disease and viruses and stuff like that.
- 40:44Speaker 3: We barely talk about viruses nowadays, you know what I mean,
- 40:48Speaker 3: you talk about COVID and shit like that. Motherfuckers are like, y'all,
- 40:50Speaker 3: I don't really you know, we still don't. That shit's
- 40:53Speaker 3: still prevalent, you know what I mean, That shit's still there.
- 40:56Speaker 3: All of these things are still there, HIV still that
- 40:58Speaker 3: we talked about something that's taboo. It was something that
- 41:02Speaker 3: they blamed homosexuals for first, you know what I mean, Like,
- 41:06Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Like this was a and
- 41:08Speaker 3: this is in the early two thousands. Also, like I'm
- 41:11Speaker 3: just saying, man, I just I'm not.
- 41:13Speaker 6: Saying there's nothing to love about this episode. I actually
- 41:16Speaker 6: really did joy Sarah's storyline overall. Like her patient comes
- 41:21Speaker 6: in and she's been interactionally, but she's like, I'm recovered
- 41:24Speaker 6: and serious, like the stuff on the chart is not
- 41:27Speaker 6: matching what you're telling me. And she's like I promise
- 41:29Speaker 6: him telling you the truth, and it really causes her
- 41:31Speaker 6: as a doctor to be like, let me take a
- 41:32Speaker 6: step back and consider. I thought all of that worked
- 41:35Speaker 6: really well, and I did like her monologue at the end.
- 41:37Speaker 6: To me, the problem comes, I don't care about any
- 41:39Speaker 6: of the interns.
- 41:40Speaker 5: I just don't.
- 41:41Speaker 6: And it's hard to connect or care about that.
- 41:44Speaker 3: That's a tough all right, Well, that's a tough shob
- 41:46Speaker 3: because that's you know, how does the show evolve? Then
- 41:49Speaker 3: you know what I mean? If that's the case, doesn't Well,
- 41:54Speaker 3: if we do, if there's a reboot, what is a
- 41:57Speaker 3: reboot then us as old people. People want to see
- 41:59Speaker 3: us as old people?
- 42:01Speaker 1: Yes, oh yeah, they want to see us as old people.
- 42:06Speaker 1: To do they want to see you think we're gonna
- 42:07Speaker 1: when we do a reboot, it's gonna be about fucking interns.
- 42:09Speaker 1: For damn sure, it's not gonna be about it. No one,
- 42:11Speaker 1: we have a fucking You have evidence here, no one
- 42:14Speaker 1: gave a fuck about. With all due respect to all
- 42:18Speaker 1: of the talent, no one gave a fuck, no doubt,
- 42:21Speaker 1: And I agree with you, and I agree with Joel.
- 42:23Speaker 1: They're all wonderful actors. But you just didn't care. You
- 42:26Speaker 1: were so invested people, the audience, and I'm sure people
- 42:28Speaker 1: listening fell in love with these roughly eight people who
- 42:33Speaker 1: are the leads of the show and wanted to watch
- 42:36Speaker 1: them and keep watching them. And obviously you can see
- 42:38Speaker 1: what this episode is trying to do is tiptoe out
- 42:41Speaker 1: and tiptoe the interns forward, because that's what the by
- 42:44Speaker 1: now they obviously know that's what season nine is going
- 42:46Speaker 1: to be. And if this was like a little like
- 42:49Speaker 1: dip your toe in the water test, I agree with Joel.
- 42:52Speaker 1: It's like, I don't care.
- 42:54Speaker 3: I wish there was a way to monetize that then
- 42:56Speaker 3: back then, you know what, I mean, to figure that
- 42:58Speaker 3: out back then, because this airs during the seat, during
- 43:02Speaker 3: our final season, and I'm happy for the experience and
- 43:06Speaker 3: being able to work for.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Of course, But I'm just talking about I'm not about
- 43:09Speaker 1: the experiment, which was you know, they honored A Gray's
- 43:13Speaker 1: anatomy last night at the Emmys being twenty years or
- 43:17Speaker 1: something like that.
- 43:18Speaker 3: I would like to run like that, That's what I'm
- 43:20Speaker 3: trying to say.
- 43:21Speaker 1: And I you know, they in a different way figured
- 43:24Speaker 1: out how to keep replacing casts and keep and obviously
- 43:28Speaker 1: an er obviously and I think in the spirit of
- 43:31Speaker 1: that it was it was a total It makes total
- 43:35Speaker 1: sense that Bill and the network would be like, let's
- 43:38Speaker 1: try and do that. Why would we not try? It
- 43:40Speaker 1: works on other shows. I just think in this unique case,
- 43:44Speaker 1: the audience has spoken.
- 43:45Speaker 6: They spend so much time with y'all, whereas like Gray's
- 43:48Speaker 6: Anatomy starts introducing new interns that like season two or three,
- 43:53Speaker 6: and like with er to like, the new doctors are
- 43:55Speaker 6: constantly coming in and so it feels much less jarring.
- 43:58Speaker 5: I think on.
- 43:59Speaker 6: Your dramatic medical show to see new faces come in
- 44:04Speaker 6: as opposed to this is a comedy family that's so
- 44:07Speaker 6: well oiled, where you're all's jokes were and timing were
- 44:10Speaker 6: so on point. I think to try to bring in
- 44:13Speaker 6: four or five new people who could bring that same
- 44:15Speaker 6: level of energy, it's a huge ask of any group.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Of Yes, I agree.
- 44:19Speaker 3: So you're saying with the right with the right group
- 44:22Speaker 3: of people, it would it could work.
- 44:23Speaker 6: Then No, I'm saying it would take a miracle of
- 44:26Speaker 6: writer actor combination on high that then also all your
- 44:30Speaker 6: fans would connect with It would be such a high
- 44:33Speaker 6: bar to clear. I think it would be really challenging
- 44:35Speaker 6: and as proof. I think it was challenging to do.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Think of like Friends, right, Okay, let's just think of
- 44:39Speaker 1: like one of the most watched shows of all time.
- 44:42Speaker 1: If Little by Little they start introducing new young friends
- 44:47Speaker 1: and Little by Little the hero six of them or
- 44:51Speaker 1: seven of them start tiptoeing out.
- 44:53Speaker 3: They didn't do that, but they did introduce new friends,
- 44:55Speaker 3: just like we introduced new friends.
- 44:56Speaker 6: They introduce partners. They introduced like it's a girl friend
- 45:01Speaker 6: and stuff.
- 45:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I don't know, man, I don't know, man. I just
- 45:05Speaker 3: think I think there's always a way to Maybe it's
- 45:08Speaker 3: a break that's needed. Frasier's having had a great cup,
- 45:11Speaker 3: you know, the Connors is doing, of.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Course, But also you're talking about if we have if
- 45:16Speaker 1: and when we do a reboot of any kind, it's
- 45:18Speaker 1: we're going to bring the seven core people back, and
- 45:22Speaker 1: it's going to be about the seven core people, absolutely,
- 45:25Speaker 1: and of course there'll be guest stars and supporting stars
- 45:27Speaker 1: and all that stuff. But the people listening to this
- 45:29Speaker 1: podcast right now, they would tune in because they they
- 45:33Speaker 1: loved that group, they loved hanging out with that group,
- 45:37Speaker 1: and if they're going to tune in for anything new,
- 45:40Speaker 1: they want to see Oh, how are they now? What
- 45:42Speaker 1: are they like? What's their lives like?
- 45:43Speaker 3: Now? How long is that interesting for? You know what
- 45:47Speaker 3: I mean?
- 45:47Speaker 1: If it's well written, it could be you know, I
- 45:49Speaker 1: don't know handful of seasons. Who knows movie eight seasons
- 45:53Speaker 1: in a movie.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Right, no doubt. It's also interesting if you introduce new
- 45:57Speaker 3: new aspects to it, like JD and Turk and Carla
- 46:01Speaker 3: and Elliott all have kids.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Yeah, how many kids do they have?
- 46:06Speaker 3: You know what I mean? And those these kids are
- 46:07Speaker 3: now grown. This was a long time ago, you know
- 46:09Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and uh, and our JD and Elliott still together?
- 46:15Speaker 1: I hope so. I would hope so.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Has Turks diabetes got the best of them and killed him.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Oh god, Oh, I think Turk will be alive unless
- 46:23Speaker 1: he's on a hit unless he's on a hit comedy network. Sorry, uh,
- 46:31Speaker 1: Turk's on a hit comedy another network. Guys, He's dead.
- 46:38Speaker 1: It was the diabetes.
- 46:44Speaker 3: No what other.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Questions, I mean, you know, like they'd have to find
- 46:49Speaker 1: summer reason why we all still work at the same hospital.
- 46:52Speaker 1: But I think we'll just have to let the audience
- 46:55Speaker 1: go like somewhere about it. Okay, guys, you guys want
- 46:58Speaker 1: this right, all right, so this some bullshit reason we
- 47:00Speaker 1: all still work at the same ADELA.
- 47:01Speaker 3: You know, I'm one that believes that this would have
- 47:04Speaker 3: been a great adult cartoon, you know what I mean,
- 47:08Speaker 3: like the Simpsons or like Family Guy. I mean, you
- 47:11Speaker 3: could still still do all of the fantasy.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Like the comp the comp for what you're talking about
- 47:15Speaker 1: is Scott Pilgrim, which I think is doing quite well. Right,
- 47:18Speaker 1: there's a Scott.
- 47:20Speaker 5: Oh God, really loved it.
- 47:23Speaker 3: They did a Scott Pilgrim Saves the World animated series, Yes.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Yeah, they did.
- 47:27Speaker 6: So it's like an anime on Netflix, and it's like
- 47:31Speaker 6: an allt you. So the very first episode is like
- 47:33Speaker 6: the first like the first act of the movie, where
- 47:35Speaker 6: you're like, oh, are they just making the movie animated?
- 47:38Speaker 5: That's kind of strange.
- 47:40Speaker 6: And then at the last minute plot twist, what if
- 47:42Speaker 6: Scott Pilgrim didn't win the first battle but he died.
- 47:45Speaker 5: What's Romona Flowers journey?
- 47:47Speaker 3: Then? So he's not in the movie at all, he's
- 47:50Speaker 3: not in the show at all.
- 47:51Speaker 6: He comes back later, but I want to spoil it,
- 47:55Speaker 6: and it's all the entire original cast of Scott Pilgrim,
- 47:59Speaker 6: all of the actors came back, and everybody came Chris
- 48:02Speaker 6: is bad, Like literally every single person came back to
- 48:05Speaker 6: voice themselves, and it's so funny. They correct some of
- 48:08Speaker 6: their you know, the movie is not necessarily one hundred
- 48:11Speaker 6: in PC, it's very of its time, so they make
- 48:14Speaker 6: some of the corrections. Their knives gets a much bigger
- 48:17Speaker 6: like arc as a character, which is really satisfying.
- 48:20Speaker 5: It was delightful. I love the animates. I love every
- 48:23Speaker 5: iteration of Scott program so good.
- 48:25Speaker 3: I really did like the movie. I thought that was
- 48:29Speaker 3: a lot of fun to watch totally, So I'm excited
- 48:32Speaker 3: to watch this.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Uh yeah, well, we'll love to see. I think that
- 48:36Speaker 1: if there, if, and when there's a Scrubs reboot, it
- 48:39Speaker 1: would be fun to daydream about. First of all, it
- 48:42Speaker 1: would be fucking hilarious just to get the gang back
- 48:44Speaker 1: together and laugh and and and I mean laughing with
- 48:48Speaker 1: you after all these years, getting back together and laughing
- 48:51Speaker 1: and being our silly selves would be so much fun.
- 48:54Speaker 1: They would have to crack the reason, you know, why,
- 48:57Speaker 1: why why are we all back together? Or you just
- 49:00Speaker 1: say fuck it? Like in this world, no one leaves
- 49:03Speaker 1: hospitals and moves away.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Everybody still The Janitor Season nine was a freaking alternate universe.
- 49:13Speaker 3: Is yeah, it's just continuously like this.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I was thinking in during one of my tough experiences that,
- 49:20Speaker 1: uh that, uh it's a fantasy, right and JD, so
- 49:24Speaker 1: the the you how do I describe this? You? You
- 49:30Speaker 1: realize that JD is imagine, nothing has changed, Everything's back
- 49:34Speaker 1: to normal. We're all older obviously and have kids in
- 49:36Speaker 1: the whole thing. But you realize that JD, this is
- 49:40Speaker 1: all in JD's imagination and his real life. He's like unhappy,
- 49:45Speaker 1: maybe he's gotten divorced, he has he has some medical
- 49:49Speaker 1: practice that's unfulfilling, and you realize that the new season
- 49:53Speaker 1: is all JD remembering how happy he was, and it's
- 49:56Speaker 1: all in his mind of living his dream with his friends.
- 50:00Speaker 6: Oh that's cute, but also said, I don't want Jadie
- 50:02Speaker 6: to have a bad life.
- 50:04Speaker 1: No, I mean then then then it would break out
- 50:06Speaker 1: of that and he would he would he would realize
- 50:07Speaker 1: that he needed to take action and stand up and
- 50:11Speaker 1: manifest having the life he wants. This isn't going to
- 50:13Speaker 1: be it, guys, don't worry. It's it's too I.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Would say, it's very much like the who Shot Jr.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Situation or like just where the dude died and then
- 50:23Speaker 3: out of nowhere it was a dream type ship. Or
- 50:26Speaker 3: if you read, if you're a kick ass comic book reader,
- 50:30Speaker 3: the whole ship is because this dude that one time
- 50:33Speaker 3: he gets beat up in the beginning of the movie.
- 50:35Speaker 3: He's been in a coma the whole the whole series,
- 50:40Speaker 3: and he's imagined the whole thing.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Okay, all right, we should talk a little about this episode.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Let's take it that break first.
- 50:47Speaker 3: How about the farts so stupid? Let's take it.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Let me tell you something.
- 50:51Speaker 3: If you take a break, let's take it.
- 50:53Speaker 1: We come back. We're going to talk about how if
- 50:55Speaker 1: you're a writer, don't write about farts. We'll be right back.
- 51:08Speaker 1: If you're sitting there writing and.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Make fart jokes all the time, that's sign.
- 51:12Speaker 1: In your private life and with your friends.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Nothing like that joke on television just recently.
- 51:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry to diss you and your writers, but listen.
- 51:20Speaker 1: If you're I didn't make it up. Jerry O'Connell made
- 51:23Speaker 1: it up. If you're a writer and you're sitting there
- 51:26Speaker 1: and you're staring at the blinkoln cursor and something in
- 51:28Speaker 1: your mind says, what if it's a fart joke? Stop
- 51:33Speaker 1: put the computer to sleep.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Wow, must must explain, must explain.
- 51:38Speaker 1: It's just such a low bar. We all left at farts,
- 51:41Speaker 1: farts and silly a fart noisy jokes. I just think,
- 51:45Speaker 1: I just think I always find don't get me wrong,
- 51:48Speaker 1: there's an occasional one that will make me giggle. Obviously
- 51:51Speaker 1: in life when someone farts it's funny, but like, this
- 51:54Speaker 1: episode has like six references to a fart. It's embarrassing, Joelle,
- 52:00Speaker 1: your thoughts.
- 52:01Speaker 5: It's an entire sea plot and it's much too much.
- 52:04Speaker 5: It's like one point they just pan back to the girl.
- 52:06Speaker 6: They're like, she fart yet, Nope, okay next to you,
- 52:08Speaker 6: And I was like, why don't we do Yeah.
- 52:10Speaker 3: The only time I got, really, the only time where
- 52:12Speaker 3: I was like this is too much is when she
- 52:14Speaker 3: was like, it's stunk really bad and then smelled like
- 52:17Speaker 3: hot dogs.
- 52:18Speaker 5: You mean the punchline of the entire joke.
- 52:21Speaker 3: That was when I was like, by the.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Way, by the way, let me just give the audience
- 52:26Speaker 1: what happens. Okay, So the woman, the woman farts in
- 52:29Speaker 1: an ICU isolated room. Then the young doctor Sonny comes out,
- 52:34Speaker 1: and all of the doctors are commenting that she smells
- 52:39Speaker 1: personally like the woman's fart. And then she says, I've
- 52:43Speaker 1: taken several bad showers already since since this occurred, and
- 52:47Speaker 1: I still smell like it. And then they say, yeah,
- 52:50Speaker 1: you still smell like her fart that happened clearly over
- 52:54Speaker 1: an hour ago. And she says, now I'm gonna take
- 52:56Speaker 1: a bath in tomato juice. I mean, it's just really bad.
- 53:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Donald didn't hit.
- 53:03Speaker 5: It did not hit for me.
- 53:05Speaker 3: That is hilarious to me. But well, there you go
- 53:10Speaker 3: to some sitting on a toilet and the ship come
- 53:14Speaker 3: halfway out your ass. They crawl back up in that motherfucker.
- 53:20Speaker 1: You're a bit or a comedians bit.
- 53:22Speaker 3: This is freaking Eddie Murphy doing Richard Pryor when he
- 53:25Speaker 3: was a kid.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Oh okay, I'm sorry. I guess I'm just not into
- 53:29Speaker 1: I'm not into schotological humor and just not for me.
- 53:33Speaker 3: Okay, Well, look, I thought it was hilarious. I would
- 53:38Speaker 3: like to give all of the interns their props for
- 53:42Speaker 3: putting on such an entertaining show.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I want to repeat over and over again in case,
- 53:46Speaker 1: in case any of those wonderful actors. Listen to this.
- 53:49Speaker 1: They're all wonderfully talented. I'm not missing them. I'm just
- 53:52Speaker 1: saying the writing I think was on its last legs.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Clearly it's the season, and it's season eight.
- 54:02Speaker 1: But don't worry this again.
- 54:03Speaker 3: And as I told you, trying to get the fuck out.
- 54:05Speaker 3: And you know what it's like at the end.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like someone who's running a marathon and they're
- 54:11Speaker 1: at mile twenty five point nine.
- 54:16Speaker 3: It's all of a sudden gets way harder to break story.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Yeah, what if it's a fart joke for a fucking
- 54:22Speaker 1: a third.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Of the episode.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Are you sure we should make eight fart jokes. I'm
- 54:28Speaker 1: sure we're going for it.
- 54:30Speaker 3: Fuck it, I think we could get away with it.
- 54:32Speaker 1: So you're saying, after she showers three times, that means
- 54:35Speaker 1: she showered once, came out still smelled like that woman's fart,
- 54:38Speaker 1: showered again, came out still smelled like the woman's fart,
- 54:42Speaker 1: showered a third time, scrubbing, probably this time with great
- 54:45Speaker 1: rigor because of the other times, and blue dryer hair
- 54:50Speaker 1: the whole thing. Probably put perfume on because of the problem,
- 54:54Speaker 1: put makeup back, and we did her makeup everything changed.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Her scrubs clearly that she still smells like a little, quick,
- 55:02Speaker 1: little fart that this old woman had, And now she's
- 55:04Speaker 1: gonna go get tomato juice.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Okay, but let me explain, go ahead, it's because she
- 55:10Speaker 3: had been holding it for decades. Decades.
- 55:13Speaker 1: It's impossible. Everyone farts all day long.
- 55:15Speaker 3: This whole show shows the joke. The joke's impossible, dude,
- 55:18Speaker 3: the jokes. You're gonna try and hit me with logic.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Well, don't you how many times the average human farts
- 55:24Speaker 1: a day?
- 55:24Speaker 3: You don't.
- 55:25Speaker 1: You can't control it. You fart all day long?
- 55:27Speaker 3: Noren't. There'sn't a there's a certain amount that's excessive.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I've seen this, of course, if you if you, if
- 55:34Speaker 1: your stomach's fucked up and you eat bad food. But
- 55:36Speaker 1: I'm saying, like the average person farts X amount of
- 55:40Speaker 1: day times a day. I've seen it. What's that number?
- 55:43Speaker 1: What do you think it is? What do you think
- 55:44Speaker 1: it is? Before she pulls it out, I would say
- 55:46Speaker 1: it's probably forty forty twelve twelve, Yeah, not like you noticed.
- 55:50Speaker 1: By the way, A lot of times you don't notice it.
- 55:52Speaker 1: You're just releasing air from your aus. It's not like
- 55:54Speaker 1: it's like you meane a noise or you smelled something.
- 55:57Speaker 3: I said twelve. I said twelve is excessive.
- 55:59Speaker 1: I would say yes.
- 56:02Speaker 6: The humans past gas between thirteen to twenty one times.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Oh I was off, I was close.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I was closer now thirteen to twenty one. And that's
- 56:12Speaker 1: so whenever you think people don't far, when you're looking
- 56:14Speaker 1: at that really hot guy or that really hot girl
- 56:16Speaker 1: and you're like, oh my god, know that that person
- 56:19Speaker 1: is farting. They fart twenty times a day.
- 56:22Speaker 6: Travel six point eight miles per hour or ten feet
- 56:26Speaker 6: per second random.
- 56:28Speaker 5: Firefacs for you.
- 56:32Speaker 1: They don't all smell, they just hear. Anus is releasing
- 56:35Speaker 1: like a valve. It's going.
- 56:37Speaker 3: So here's the question.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead, can you make a whole episode about it?
- 56:44Speaker 3: And this is going to get a little weird.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Oh b here we go weirder. Are you on? Are
- 56:50Speaker 1: you on Ganja now or not?
- 56:51Speaker 3: I'm still smoking Ganja?
- 56:52Speaker 1: Okay, I just need to know. Go ahead.
- 56:54Speaker 3: There's certain things that you have to do to leave
- 56:56Speaker 3: a hospital. Sometimes it's go to the bathroom. Sometimes it's
- 57:01Speaker 3: pass gas. Right, And this is the this is what
- 57:05Speaker 3: the whole story is based on. It wouldn't be based
- 57:08Speaker 3: on It's not necessarily based on the fact that her
- 57:11Speaker 3: fart stinks. It's the fact that to leave a hospital
- 57:14Speaker 3: you have to fart.
- 57:15Speaker 1: They wanted it, they wanted her to make a bowel movement,
- 57:17Speaker 1: but she said she was a nervous poorer like Elliott.
- 57:20Speaker 1: So Elliott said, I'll wait until you pass gas. Why
- 57:25Speaker 1: couldn't this woman just be like, hey, you guys are
- 57:27Speaker 1: out of the room. I just ripped the giant fark,
- 57:29Speaker 1: I go home.
- 57:34Speaker 5: She could have just lied to her doctors.
- 57:35Speaker 1: Yees, could have just.
- 57:44Speaker 3: That would have been so much easier, right, Yeah, no,
- 57:47Speaker 3: but no, My question is like, isn't aren't there certain
- 57:51Speaker 3: things that just have to be let go of? You
- 57:55Speaker 3: know what I mean? It was clear that she does fart,
- 57:58Speaker 3: you know what I mean, There's no way she holds
- 57:59Speaker 3: it for decades and everything like that. She's doing it
- 58:01Speaker 3: because she's trying to be looking at it as a Yeah,
- 58:05Speaker 3: she's trying to be looked at it as proper.
- 58:07Speaker 6: They were trying to make sure she wasn't impacted though.
- 58:09Speaker 6: It is what take said at the top.
- 58:12Speaker 3: Yeah, so why would it stink for so long? And
- 58:14Speaker 3: then if that's the case.
- 58:15Speaker 6: And I mean again, the joke has there's zero logic
- 58:18Speaker 6: within the joke, but the reasoning, the reasoning behind wind
- 58:21Speaker 6: heper around.
- 58:22Speaker 1: All right, let's just go through and see if there's
- 58:24Speaker 1: anything else.
- 58:24Speaker 3: Let's talk about the doctor who thought people had catgrass syndrome.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a real thing.
- 58:31Speaker 3: Yeah that was shit. Had me rolling. I thought that
- 58:33Speaker 3: was funny.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Do you think people that you know in your life
- 58:36Speaker 1: are imposters? That's a real thing.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Invasion of a body snatchers.
- 58:41Speaker 1: No, it's just a it's a it's a it's a
- 58:42Speaker 1: mental uh disorder where you, even though you know the person,
- 58:46Speaker 1: well it could be your wife, it could be you,
- 58:48Speaker 1: you're convinced that they're impostors. And often times they have
- 58:53Speaker 1: to do something like like this young intern tried to do,
- 58:56Speaker 1: where they'll come they'll literally just be outside the door
- 59:00Speaker 1: and and uh and say like oh oh, hey, some
- 59:06Speaker 1: somebody who looks like me just left, like people around
- 59:09Speaker 1: them have to do these elaborate things to try and
- 59:14Speaker 1: you know, get past this this problem that they have.
- 59:16Speaker 1: I know someone whose parents.
- 59:18Speaker 3: Have dealt with it. Really. Yeah, that's crazy, that's really
- 59:22Speaker 3: I don't mean to say that to be dismissive about it.
- 59:25Speaker 3: But that's fucking that's wow.
- 59:27Speaker 1: It's horrible, it's horrible.
- 59:29Speaker 3: It sounds horrible.
- 59:30Speaker 1: I want to say that the young woman, I want
- 59:32Speaker 1: to pull up her name because she was talented, who
- 59:35Speaker 1: played Robin.
- 59:35Speaker 3: Very good final scene, Oh my gosh.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Very good actress. I'm gonna yeah, my name everybody, Her
- 59:41Speaker 1: name is drum Roll, Daniel Karina Chase did a fantastic
- 59:48Speaker 1: job as the patient Robin, wonderful. I thought was very good.
- 59:55Speaker 1: And then Elliott, you know I read on Scrubs wiki.
- 59:57Speaker 1: I just want to say, you want to hear what
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: SCRUBSWICKI has to say. Zachgraft, Judy Raised, Johnald and Johnson mcginny,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Neil Flenn, Ken Jenks do not appear in this episode,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: making it the episode with the lowest number of series
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: regulars to ever appear. The episode is also the first
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: to not have a narrator. The title my suggests JD
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: would narrate, but Zachgraft did not appear. There was some
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: this is interesting. There was some controversy over Elliott's statement
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: that she might leave medicine if she ever got married
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: and had kids, which was perceived by some fans as
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: anti feminist, although it was based on the actual life
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: of the show's medical consultant, Dolly clock.
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: Also, I think it's unfair.
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: I feel like that a man or woman could have
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: given that statement because it's not so much that she
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: wants to leave because she has kids, but because she
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: thinks her children might bring her joy, whereas doing this
- 1:00:47Speaker 6: work is no longer bringing Elliott any kind of happiness.
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: She's like, it's so fleeting, and I feel sad that
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: I wasn't able to help fix their problem. All I
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: could do is diagnose it.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: It's going back to exact same thing that I said
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: in the beginning of this whole thing. I wanted to
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: be in my kids basketball game. It's not that I
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: don't enjoy my job and want to enjoy the things
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: that I do and stuff like that, but that brings
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: me way more happiness than sitting in an awards show
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: audience watching people receive fucking trophies because you know, somebody
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: said they liked their show. You know what I mean, Like,
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: at the end of the day, what are we really doing?
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: What makes you happy is what makes you happy.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Right, And I think Dolly Clark, who was married to
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: the real GD and they were both our medical consultants.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I think this was her honest story and her honest
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: thinking about it, and in actuality, I don't think she
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: practices medicine anymore. I think she moved on to being
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: in working with adolescents and being an advocate for kids
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: and helping parents to understand yeah, their children and you know,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: so she really moved on to something that wasn't having
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: to tell people they have HIV because I think for
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: her personally it was it was too soul crushing and
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: she wanted to find a way to be so it
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: was somebody's real story.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: We should have her back on the show, bro for.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Real, Okay, Joelle, let's heaven.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: I mean, we're talking to so many interesting people. This
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: is definitely right up our Yeah.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: Actually do yeah, especially because I think what she's dealing
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: with too is children and drugs and helping parents to
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: make sure their children don't go down the rabbit hole drugs.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: She could be a great guest.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: It's a good conversation.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: JD is mentioned in the episode twice, when Elliott tells
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Turkey and Sam went to Disneyland, and when Elliott and
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Turk mock JD's post Fantasy Voice. With JD's absence, no
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: character has appeared in every episode of the show. Jad
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: previously did not appear in Quote my Absence, but is
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: still heard involved in the plot via cell phone, making
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: this episode his first true absence.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: Do you know how pissed off I would get when
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: you would go to Disneyland without me?
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I feel like you'd still get mad at me if
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I did today?
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: If you went to Disneyland without me, yeah, I probably
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: would get Listen to this day, it is still one
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: of my favorite places to go.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you love it. By the way, are we outing scrub?
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: We've always joked about where it is Sacred Heart take place.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Aren't we really saying it's fully southern California now because.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: These people Florida? Yeah?
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I think the cat's out of the bag that
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: it takes place in southern California.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: I want to go to Disneyland Japan. You see that
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: ship that should look fire. I don't know if they
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: still got it in China. Are we allowed to go
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: to China still? Yeah?
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: They have the Seven Seas.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: I just want to know where are we allowed to
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: go to Disneyland with the Okay? Cool?
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: You can go to Paris.
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: Mm hmm, there's there's one tokyo.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: There's tokyo. Looks dope, it looks fire. S a Let's
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: take a break.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. Turk says,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Elliott's booty is too tiny.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: Bullshit, that's that's a lie. You put meat, but you
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: do like a large eat that ship. You do. You
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: do a large told me, my wife told me straight
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: up in the beginning of our day. And you put
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: meat in front of a dog, he's gonna eat it,
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: all right. That's just that simple.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Can I ask you a question.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: That booty could be non existent?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: That's not true. I don't think you're attracted to a
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: non existent flat bot. You liked some sort of bubble.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: I think we all like that pressure.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: By the way, Sarah has Sarah Elliott has a small butt,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: but it's very cute.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: She has a very cute booty. I love that nice
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: little booty. I love that, you know, but she's got
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: a little booty.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: In the spirit of Sarah always having something go wrong
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: every single time I talked to her on the phone,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: there's another long Sarah story. And we a was on
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: a group. Were you on the group? Chaine chat when
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: she said she's coming to town and she tried to
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: organize a dinner.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: She was supposed to come by the show and hang out,
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: and then she gets.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Even Sarah coming to town from Canada and trying to
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: organize the dinner with all of us. She's like, She's like, okay, sorry,
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: you don't My flight got delayed. Every everything has to
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: be canceled. I'm sorry. There's always drama there.
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: That's what she should be. Drama. That should be her nickname,

- 1:06:05Speaker 1: my kids. I got all the way to the airport
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: and my kid's hockey gear was in the car. And
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: of course she has a major tournament. So what am
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: I gonna do? I have to figure out. Am I
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: gonna make the fight? Am I gonna get her hockey gear?
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: That's a pretty good, Sarah. My wife was bummed though,

- 1:06:41Speaker 3: The wrap party for my show.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Okay, that's related to here. In your family, you go

- 1:06:51Speaker 3: Listen, I want to get out more. I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: I truly do. I really really do. But by seven
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: thirty eight o'clock, I don't anymore, you know what I mean. Like,
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: that's just how it is. Like that's one hundred.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: What about a day hangout? Can you hang out in
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: the days.
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: During the day. I could totally hang out during the day.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: But okay, look, here's the honesty, goodness true. I truly
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: love hanging out with my family, you know what I mean.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: I don't know how much longer any of us are
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: going to be on this planet together for I want
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: to build memories with them. I spend a lot of
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: time focusing on myself. I still do, but in this way,
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: it's me focusing on myself because I want to spend
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: time with my family. Uh, that's just honestly what it is.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I hear you well, I miss you.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: I miss you. I miss you. I want to hang out.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: I want to go to so much.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: I don't want to go to the Clerb. I just
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: miss you so much.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: It hurt sometimes, Dude, you don't want to go to
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: the Clerb. No, interesting, I'd want to go to the
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: clurb sometimes.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Although my running joke with Donald is like and I
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: stop texting it see you because sometimes he doesn't even reply.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: But back in the day day when we were going
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: out and being crazy, there was a club called Joseph's,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: and I'm like, just randomly like like a time. First
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: of all, we don't go to clubs anymore, period, but
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: but it's just randomly like you ain't trying to go
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: to Joseph's tonight, And it always just makes me laugh,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: like the idea that we're going to go to like
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: a Hollywood nightclub. But he he doesn't reply, so I
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: stopped making the joke.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: Do you remember those There was Joseph's Poor Nani po
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: Nani was the one, but Joseph's was the one. What
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: was the other one though?
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: Hi?
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: Hi, Hide, that's right, yeah, Hide. There was Dublin's.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: There was what's the one where you met Casey or
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: we'll not where you met her, but the one where
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Teddy's Teddy's Teddy's if those walls could talk. Teddy's is
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: the one where she said when I trying to be
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: a wingman and she goes, doesn't he have like non keys.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: Teddy's where we hung out with Prints and Casey?
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: M anyway, I mean trying to go to Joseph's.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: But you ain't trying to go to Joseph tonight.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Is what I text him, like, what you're trying to
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: get into? Hold on here? Well hold on me, hit
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: my button?
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Where is it?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: I'm rusty, you guys, I'm rusty what you're trying to
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: get into? One day or shown what you're trying to do.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: So I'll text him be like, yo, you're trying to
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: get it. What you're trying to get into? And then
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: one time I wrote him it just feels like you're
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: not trying to get into nothing. I meanwhile, I know
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: the dude, Day's Pj's fucking animating. You're not going to Joseph's.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: The Todd has a good, very good running before we
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: get out of here, The Todd has a very good
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: running joke about people high fiving when he's not around,
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: and he's serious about it. He's so serious about it
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: that he he he doesn't take the opportunity to he
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: renigs on an opportunity to make a sexual joke because
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: he's too serious about high fives.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Yeah. First he says that that what's his name can
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: high five when he's not around, but then he yeah,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: he says he's not comfortable with it.
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: No, I on it.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Now to do this, Well, that's the show, guys. The
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: good news is we have four really good episodes coming up.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: We have two episodes of the Bahamas, and then we
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: have two episodes of the finale, what everyone truly believes
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: is the real finale of the television show Scrubs. And
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: then we're going to launch into uh season nine, which
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: I've never seen.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: I've never watched a single episode of season by.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: The way, I honestly don't think I've ever seen the
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: episode this episode before, So there you go.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: You know me, We've talked about this before. I've watched
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: very little Scrubs.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Yeah, we know the audience knows.
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: Well, Zach and I were talking about season nine and
- 1:11:00Speaker 6: since it's the last recap season, you know, what could
- 1:11:03Speaker 6: we do to make it special? And one of the
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: things that came up with was what if Season nine fanatics,
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: people who are like, no, this episode see the nine
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: is really bomb? Yeah, there's an up those season nine
- 1:11:15Speaker 6: you love write us at scrubsiheart at gmail dot com
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: and tell us why you love the episode. If you
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: really hate the episode, you can also call in.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: You can.
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: I really like the voicemails. I think those are cute,
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: but I'll also.
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: Read your letters and just tell us either why this
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: is a great episode or why damn it? And we'll
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: read your guys's letters we get to the episode.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: What I'd like to do is, Joel, I think I
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: gave you that idea and then you ran with it.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: But anyway, and what I want to say is I
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: liked where I thought you were going, which was if
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: you really really love an episode of season nine and
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: you're listening, leave Joelle, you know, a two minute max
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: voicemomer emailer and explain why and if you really fucking
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: hate it, same thing, and then we'll have you both
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: on and we'll do like a ten minute segment where
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: you debate the pros and the cons of the episode.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but I can't be hitting below the belt.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: This ship can't be like, no, no, you can't be
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: me presidential debate. We're all of a sudden, you just
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: dont no.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: They're not going to interrupt the other. One's going to
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: present their side, and the other is going to present
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: the other side. And obviously you don't be mean to anyone.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: It's just about the merits of the episode, right, don't
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: you think that's a good idea, Joe? I love it,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: And if we don't get enough people doing it, then
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: we'll then we'll then we'll just do one or the
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: other and talk about it. But so you're going to
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: send that, you're going to send that to?
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: Are we mediators? What we in this?
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: We're we're we're like the commentators on the news who
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: listen to their points and then and then talk about them.
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: Do we come up with the conclusion at the.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: End, No, because we know it's not a good show.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: What a way to advertise a podcast. You're gonna listen
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: to it because we know it's not a good show.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Well, I have a feeling that people who were listening
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: to this podcast, like the four of us sitting around
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: shooting the ship and uh, and that's what we're going
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: to continue to do for y'all.
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: Right, Hey, yeah, we're going to talk about Scrubs still.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: Of course we are just season nine.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and so if you want to do that, email
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: to Scrubs. iHeart all one word at gmail dot com.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: And we should have Shae Serrano back.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Jason come on season nine. I got nothing.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Well, I think we should ask Shaye. Joelle asked Shay
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: to be like, hey, you know, we've always dissed this
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: season A large percentage of the fans of this the season.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: What are your Scrubs expert mind thoughts on it? And
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: he'll have smart things to say, And we should book
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Bill obviously for season nine.
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: He had nothing to do with it, you know, but
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: he could, he could, He had zero and he was on.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: So you don't want to have you don't want to
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: have Bill on to talk about.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: I want to have Bill on it just to talk
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: about all of the other wonderful things that's going on
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: in his life. I don't want to have him want
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: to sit here and be like you fucking abandoned us,
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: and this is what we got season nine.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: No, I don't. That wasn't gonna be the tenor of
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: my course. All right, what else can we tell you?
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Watch Donald's new show, everybody, please do. It's great to
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: watch with your kids. There's no there's no there's no
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: one you know, having sex against the door.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: There's no Listen, these are things that you will not
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: find on my show. There's no nudity.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very very G.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: Yes, well no it's not G. It's PG, but it's
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: not really.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: What's the dirtiest joke that's been on the show so far?
- 1:15:01Speaker 6: Oh?
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: I saw something. There was something about footprints on the
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: wall because.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: It's PG, but it's television that you can watch with
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: your family.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I saw signory. You know, you saw that there were
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: footprints on the wall from when your fiance and her
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: husband were banging. And so there were footprints on the.
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: Wall many years ago after a wine festival, right, and
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: you didn't like that, and so I painted the room.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: It reminded me of I want some sub letted my
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: my room in Manhattan so I could come be in
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: l A for a while, and I sub let it
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: to a young woman. And and and when I came back,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: after however long I was gone, my bed was backed
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: into a corner. It was a queen size bed, and
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: it was in a corner. And there were handprints, small
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: hand prints, her hand prints, all over the back wall.
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: Getting it was.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: It was clear that my bed had been used for
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: copulation many many, many times.
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: That sounds like a pounding. She needed the wall.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: She was holding on to the wall. It wasn't it.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: They weren't just making slow love. She was gripping the wall.
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: Yes, they could have started off slow, which is fine.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't sublet. I didn't. I didn't say
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: in the in the sublet agreement, please don't get taken
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: from behind? And that does my mom gave me but.
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: Ship.
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's a good question. It's a good question
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: to ask, Like what do you do when that happens?
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: What do you do when you find out that your
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: ex actually did have sex with their partners before you?
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Like, how do you respond
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: to that? I don't respond, Well, I'm sorry, Like I
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: don't think I'm sure she did, but I don't want
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: to meet the guy. It's not like I want to
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: shake hands with the motherfucker and be like, yeah, man,
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: we've got something in common, you know what I mean, Like,
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: that's not my goal in life. My golden life is
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: to enjoy it.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: And that just makes you listen. You have to be
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: grateful to all the partners she had because she's we
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: know from the show that she's a wonderful lover and it's.
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: Not because of them. Fuck you, man, it's not because
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: of them. Fuck that.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: I'm just saying. I don't mean to trigger you. I'm
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: just saying that.
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: I'm not triggered. I'm just saying. I'm just saying, motherfucker.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: I'm just saying, we know from the program that she's
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: a gifted.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: We know she's a boy. All right, we should probably
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: wrap up on this note.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: Dude, guys, I fucking missed this.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Man. Yeah, I love you guys. I love you guys, audience,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: Thank you so much for always tuning in and and
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: for listening to us just ramble. I'm excited to talk
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: about future episodes coming up. It's gonna be so much fun.
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: Getting into stories.
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: I'm not sure we made about a bunch of talks
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: and nurses said, here's the stories.
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: Net so yeah here yeah here, but
