Um and you never kind of know what the approach is going to be and I just 0:59 really resonated with your questions. So I immediately was like I feel so good about this. So thank you so much. 1:05 I'm so glad Ally. No, thank you for joining us because honestly I I just Okay, so I have a Libra moon. So, I'm a 1:13 Cancer Cancer sun and yeah, I mean I'm a Gemini rising 23 degree like Mercury. 1:20 So, thank heavens for my Libra moon. 1:22 Like I honor my Libra moon. Like I go to Costa Rica on her. 1:27 I'm like, "Thank God for you." So humor resonates so much with me. That 1:35 was how I literally discovered you. And one of the funniest things, my dad like wanted me to be an entertainment lawyer. 1:44 And I could I could see you crushing that. I I could see you just high heels slaying that [laughter] immediately. 1:52 He's like, "No, I don't want to argue with people." He's like, "No, but you like love people and like you can see that people are talented and you're like, "Oh my god, I'm so like your 2:01 cheerleader." And I was like, I'm behind you. When I saw you, I was like, it would be so fun to have like 2:09 Allison on because like I've learned so much from you about astrology. 2:18 And I love to hear that the real world. Exactly. The real So, I'm into the real world applications of it, right? 2:26 Hell yeah. 2:26 Um I was one of those people being that I have a lot of my roots are on the West Coast. I never wanted to be cliche. So 2:35 astrology was kind of like a no no, you know, because like I would I would move around to Middle Tennessee and people would be like, "Oh, are you from 2:44 California?" And they didn't need it in the nice way. 2:47 And so, you know, you just dial stuff back. I didn't know about it. My spirituality at the time, I was really limited. 2:55 And I discovered step astrology, which is about the degrees. alley, right? 3:04 And so Christopher WKI was kind of my teacher of that. 3:10 And then from there, I've started to because I love numbers, right? That's my Gemini rising. Like I just I love it 3:18 and I see the world like that but yet my human heart so resonates with the 3:26 practical archetypes that you and it's embedded in like real world for like I can't believe 3:34 it circumstance. Okay, so I'm at the DMV today and I have to adult and it's really like, "Oh my god, you have to do the 3:42 code thing, the QR code, and my Gen Xer's coming out. I have to do the check-in and I'm really punctual." Like, I have a 10:30 appointment. 3:52 Yeah, you're on time. 3:53 And I'm thinking about you at the DMV doing all of the signs. 4:01 Oh, all of the one do that. I'm going to do that. I will mention you and I'll be like, I was just 4:08 on Heart and Light [laughter] and she had such an awesome idea. I could do a I could do a My whole life could be just a 4:15 TV show of all the signs working at the DMV. No, it is so brilliant. Oh my god, that's a great idea. 4:24 I love that you do this. And so I was thinking to myself like I wanted to ask the woman and you know, of course, like it's a federal process. So it's like you don't want them to think you're a 4:32 weirdo. And you know, I'm like, I'm You want to be like, "What's your sign? 4:36 What's your sign? What's your son's sign? Do you know?" She's a total Jenzier who like loves me. She's like, "Don't worry, we're going to get a great 4:44 picture of you." She's like, "If you don't, we do." You're so lucky. See, you went you went to the DMV today, right? And you had a 4:52 nice Jupiter Venus. Lucky. It was overwhelming. There was a lot. I was overwhelmed. I was overwhelmed. 4:59 But but you had the Gen Z. I'm going to take care of you. And you're like, I was like, "Thank you, friend." [laughter] It was just like this 5:07 beautiful moment. And she says to me, she goes, "Oh, wait. They put like a 5:14 extra little check on you." She goes, "Don't worry. There's been a lot of fraud. 5:20 Don't worry." Wow. 5:23 I thought to myself, "Is she a Pisces like in this?" Oh my god. Don't worry. I love that. 5:30 Don't worry. There's been a lot of fraud. Oh, but but like yeah, I that's that's something I've been hearing about. [laughter] It's not an uncommon 5:37 thing right now. There is fraud, but that is hysterical. 5:41 So, I'm just like, okay. I was like, y'all do what you need to do. Thank you for having me here, friends. And I like 5:49 literally it was like the DMV gods were like with me. Like, I walked in, I walked out, people were looking at me like, "How did this woman just roll in 5:57 here? No, it's [laughter] just for for anybody out there who's afraid of 8:28 astrology because the numbers, the geometry, it's really intimidating. 8:33 Just looking at all the symbols. What are you looking at? That's right. Or and just just the glyphs. Looking at the 8:40 glyphs that like you look at a chart and people see nothing. 8:44 That's right. It's so and it's a lot and there's lines and every single thing that you're looking at you do not understand. 8:51 No. What drew you into this ally? Um, well, I I was kind of um I feel like I 8:58 was born born into this like witchy. I just always had that little fairy hut. 9:05 And then I had like, you know, as a kid, I had some social issues or just I felt 9:12 disconnected or withdrawn, but around my special interests and one of them was magic. I was very strongly interested. 9:21 And so I started a little little girl cult when I was eight and we had like membership and it was very serious and 9:29 we had to excommunicate some people. It was very dramatic. 9:33 We were doing magic. We would throw we would like find items and be like this is a sacred item. And we would cast all 9:41 our spells, throw them into the backyard to like banish the gnomes. And we just we were so hard and it was so serious. 9:50 Um, and we of course like explored sun sign astrology at that time. So your birthday and okay, what does this mean? 9:58 And so I'm 8y old as an 8-year-old. As 8-year-olds. Yeah. 10:01 Just stop it. Okay. Are you a millennial? Pardon me. I have to ask. Yeah. I'm born in 91. 10:07 I knew you were a millennial. Okay, we'll get to that later. So, okay. Karen and Leo. Karen and Leo. 10:12 Yes. Okay. So, you guys are out there examining sun signs. 10:18 Yeah. as a little female like Yeah. Little girl band cult. 10:22 Yeah. Girl band cult designing the architecture for our our sacred tower that would have a a spiral staircase of 10:30 course with a library at the top and the observatory. You know, we would plan it all and we're super serious. And the 10:38 funny thing is the only reason that that cult well that cult disbanded for a couple reasons. one I was sort of like 10:45 you guys we were 12 and I was like guys I don't know man I don't know I'm just having some doubts I'm sorry I'm sorry 10:53 so that was like partly happening and then I was like a very strong I'm like a dangerous cult leader I was a very strong cult leader I would follow you [laughter] and I'm 11:02 not a follower like people follow me when I was young when I was young um but one girl we were at the like you 11:09 know cafetum lunch table and she's looking out the window and she goes, "An army of fairies is coming to take over the school." And she slips back and hits her head really hard on the concrete. 11:20 Oh no. 11:21 And so my little 12-year-old self went That is the moment. That is the moment I'm like, "It's a liability. I'm from the East Coast. I'm from New York City. 11:28 It's a li It's a liability. I'm sorry. I'm looking at it square. 11:32 This is a liability. We're disbanding the cult." And what's funny is I worked for So most of my life I worked in agriculture. I worked in kind of social ecological systems. 11:43 Um, and so I worked on a ton of different farms. I worked for the government in different capacities in the sciences. And so I was working for 11:51 the Forest Service. And so I show up at the Forest Service building and they're showing me around the building and they're like, "Oh, you should meet um this amazing chestnut researcher, Jill. 12:02 She's over here." And so wouldn't you know it, it's Jill from my cult. 12:07 No. at the Forest Service and she literally tells my Forest Service bosses, "Oh, this is Allison. 12:15 Yeah, I know her from way back. You know how she got her leadership experience? 12:20 From leading a cult of witches when she was little." That was my day one at the Forest Service was I led a cult of child witches. 12:30 God, I love this. 12:32 Straight up. And I was like, I am trying to be so [ __ ] serious right now [laughter] on my first day. Good. 12:39 So I was like, this is so good. No, these powerful connections, you know, that like your soul came with that. 12:48 Yeah. [laughter] Like obviously like you came to like reband the group. Like we're getting the band back together, friends. 12:54 We got them. I know. I have so many so many soul friends. No, you have to. your Aries like rising. 13:04 Oh, I need it. And I have that Yeah, that Aquarius on the 11th house and I've got the moon in the 11th house and I've got Saturn right next to the moon in the 13:12 11th. Um, and so you know that I do have these kind of karmic I have Saturn in my 11th. 13:20 You do? Yeah. Here we are. Here we are. 13:22 Saturn in my 11th. And it sits like in Aries at 24° 13:30 which is a very Libra ruled degree. So interesting. And we have to talk and we have to talk with that Aries north node. 13:39 The Aries north node and my Chiron is an Aries. 13:43 Okay, that gives me a lot of information. 13:46 So you were born I know when you were born. Oh, I was born a long time ago, friend. 13:51 I'm a most of my clients for about eight months were Chiron and Aries 13:59 opposed to Uhhuh. 14:01 Um or Chiron and Aries in general. So I have most of my clients are in their late 40s through the 50s. Yes. 14:09 Um so most of the pe most of the women that I'm working with because it's mostly women. Yes. Um are going through that phase of life. 14:19 Congratulations for getting to this place. 14:22 Thank you. I feel like like I have just finally landed. Yeah. 14:28 And I So yeah, I did not know about Chiron and just like for our listeners out there because we're getting ready to 14:37 experience Chiron and Taurus and I'll let Ally speak to that versus, you know, just a lay person fan girl 14:45 over here for astrology. But um the Chiron and Aries the I am that we all 14:52 collectively went through that right to exist. I think that co was very much the 15:01 collective manifestation you know of Chiron smacking us in Aries like in our third eyes like wake up 15:09 y'all. And also you know so much of we have to understand the signs 15:16 relationally. We cannot understand the signs as separate things. They are not that way. 15:22 They are they are together. They are they they are incomplete when they are alone. Yes. 15:28 So when we think about what heals when when we think about Aries and Libra and that opposition, we understand that if 15:37 we're going to have peace, we have to have conflict. And so that is kind of this eruption of this. We're not going to sit in a false peace. 15:46 We're willing to experience the discomfort of conflict and resistance in pursuit of peace. 15:53 That and and Libra, the like, you know, liberalism of the democratic world that doesn't want to really ruffle the 16:00 feathers of capitalism or really kind of change the things in in pursuit of power and money, you know, all of that stuff 16:07 there. like there there's a there's this you know wanting things to just stay comfortable when that Chiron and Aries says 16:16 sometimes things have to be uncomfortable but you know what what's important for Chiron and Aries 16:23 especially natally is that sometimes you see this archetype of the warrior being 16:31 part of the way that the wounds are addressed. So you become such a little warrior. You when you're a kid, you have 16:38 to, you know, take care of yourself or a sibling or you have to go to work early or you have to if things are going to happen, it's going to be because you do 16:45 it and you're kind of one day, honey, you're going to be on your own, you know, and so you learn how to [ __ ] help yourself. 16:51 Yeah. And then what can happen is you can build an incredible life around that independence, 16:59 but you're shielded from the discomfort of dependence for only so long until you reach a time in life where you need to 17:07 ask for help. And so that's the that's part of it is Chiron and Aries is so important. And we need that warrior to come up and say, you know what, [ __ ] 17:16 you. I can do it myself. But then we also need to be able to say, "Hey, I need a helping hand. 17:23 I'm I'm willing to have, you know, because you don't want to be have the best life ever, but then when you're sick, you can't even ask somebody to take out your trash cans for you." That's right. 17:32 You know, you don't want to ask for help. 17:34 That's right. The layer the layering of the consciousness and the relational aspects of astrology are absolutely one 17:42 of the most fascinating elements to me that I think that your work illuminates the collective 17:50 completely in a way that it draws people in. So before I did what I do now, which 17:59 is I help people with their bodies and I help people with their minds. 18:03 And so I'm a colon hygienist and I'm a hypnotherapist. So like we flush it out. 18:10 We clean it out and we attain a higher elevated self, but I I was a middle school and high school monastery educator. 18:18 Oh, cool. Yeah. Monasuri. That makes total sense to me as a gem rising with Karen and Aries. You're going, you can take your independent path for learning. 18:28 I want you to feel totally like we're addressing what your needs are. 18:32 You know, that's my philosophy and I believe it. 18:35 Exactly. [clears throat] Exactly. And that's how I've approached now folks with their bodies, right? 18:42 And with their spirit, right? Because your soul's housing the body. 18:46 But what I've also learned, and the reason that I personally love comedy, Yeah. as a way to teach, as a tool. 18:55 Absolutely. 18:56 As a tool is because we are here to be funny [ __ ] I'm sorry. I'm going to say yes. 19:07 You say it again. Say it again for the people in the back. 19:10 Funny [ __ ] That's exactly right. There there it's such so important to have this conversation where you know 19:20 there's so much pressure in the spiritual community. Yes. 19:22 For as much as we're like kumbaya everyone should have should be able to express themselves. But guess what? If you're a spiritual teacher you have to show up in this kind of way and you 19:31 can't and and like I think something that draws people to my content is that I there is conflict in every video that I make. 19:39 Pay attention to that. There is conflict in every video that I make and I there's way more conflict in my videos than ever 19:47 shows up in real life. But there's conflict that exists under the surface. Yes. 19:52 And I'm pointing at the conflict under the surface and making it making it per I'm performing it with my Chiron in Leo. 19:59 I'm showing you what it looks like and you go, you know what? That's me inside, but I'm masking that. or that's me inside, but I'm going to respond and try 20:07 to respond in a different way, but that's how I really feel, you know. Um, and so that's yeah, it's like layers on. 20:14 Do you believe that our rising sign, Ally, is a mask that we wear or do you think it's our forwardfacing 20:23 that's how the world sees us first? So I I think we're with when I hear that it's 20:32 like you're talking about the paint color and we're when we're looking at we're talking about the car. 20:39 Yes. 20:40 So we're so like for instance I the the rising sign from all of my readings and 20:47 is is really kind of how you move through the world. So I'm moving through the world in kind of an Aries way. I try and try and try and try and try and butt 20:56 my head up against it. I'm working all the time. I'm like moving and shaking. 20:59 I've got a lot of spark, you know. It's about containing my spark and slowing me down. That's that's important, you know. 21:05 So, that's kind of how I'm moving through. You're moving through this world in an analytical way. You're thinking, you're able to hold a lot of opinions. You want to hear a lot of 21:12 opinions. You want to talk it out. Part of you needs to be heard. And it's really healthy for you to be heard and have really good communication in your 21:20 life. That's important part of your life. that's how you're moving through this world in that way. So it's like, yeah, we notice that about you cuz that's how you're moving through this 21:28 world, you know? It's like, yeah, you showed up in a Ferrari cuz you drive a [ __ ] Ferrari. We're going to notice a Ferrari. 21:36 It's like, yeah, but but it's you having a Ferrari that we're noticing, you know? 21:41 It's like, yeah, versus some some like a horse and buggy, you know? So, yes. 21:47 Yeah. So it's it's how you move through the world then that pin people notice that. 21:52 I love that. I love that. So because we just jumped into conversation because I feel like you're somebody that I know because [laughter] I've like just watched you and watched you obsessively. 22:03 Um what is lighting up your heart, Ally, right now? We ask everybody at Heart and Light Living, what's like exciting you? 22:11 What's lighting your heart up? Um, my practice with these incredible women 22:19 from around the world, it's it just gets deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper and I think, you know what, I've 22:27 arrived. It can't get any better than this. And then it's like, no, it just gets deeper. So, my practice is really 22:34 lighting me up. And part of what's happening now with my work is people who have been seeing 22:42 me for a number of years now since I've been really focusing on approaching the chart holistically from 22:50 a balanceoriented perspective. That's very daily life. This is what you do three times a week. This is how you respond in this moment. this is what you 22:57 do today when you know when I I now have clients that have been seeing me long enough that they've been applying that 23:05 in their daily life and they're seeing really strong benefits from that. 23:10 Yes. And that's something that I would really, you know, depending on the person that you you work with, something 23:18 I'd really recommend with people and for practitioners is offer like a counseling rate where you can see somebody for less 23:26 money, but you see them more regularly because part of the thing with astrology is we go, "Oh, maybe I can only afford to do it once a year." You know, 23:34 it feels like a thing that a lot of people go, "I'm going to do an astrology reading once a year." when really you can work with astrology therapeutically in your day if you 23:43 approach it from a place where it's not just you know this is who you are and this is where you're going but also this is who you are and this is what will 23:50 help this is what will help you today this is this is how you can work with the chart to help you yes and the daytoday bringing it into 23:58 the practical where you're applying I you're practicing it that is where it's at 24:07 that's where it's at and so many people. So, I have a few astrologers, Ally, and I think I'm going 24:14 to add you into the mix also, but I have to tell you, so Tom Parsons, we just did 24:20 a couple of episodes ago with Tom and we were talking he he's been practicing for 45 years. Amazing. 24:28 He's a Libra. He's incredible. Yeah, he's a Libra. He is a wise wise owl. 24:34 Great guy. He just went like Allah Joe Rogan like two and a half hours with us like our Gen XYZ people like joined in 24:42 and he just like kept going. But Tom gives you a book of you for the year. 24:50 Wow. 24:51 Okay. With your transits and like everything that's in it and you can take it down to like a daily level. However, 24:59 and Tom knows this is my my criticism of Tom, but Tom is here for the great like 25:07 the community, the communal aspect of it. You get three questions with Tom 25:13 in the year as part of your like reading with Tom, but he doesn't like to see you like monthly like a coaching client like 25:22 what you're starting to do. Okay. Now, he'll do it. I've pressured Tom from a place of love. I've been like, "I'm sure you've pressured him. I need you. 25:30 I can count on that." Like, I need you. 25:32 I'm sure you've done everything you could possibly do. 25:35 But Tom and so he's been like, "Wow." So what what I encourage listeners and like 25:42 clients out there of people that are working with astrologers is find somebody like an Allison, find somebody 25:51 like a Tom that can actually drill down into the daily. It's the other reason why I follow Christopher Wittki because 26:01 step astrology is kind of an ordering of your days if you will. So you kind of 26:07 know the winning in your life. When do you do something? Not necessarily from a predictive, but from a very nuanced 26:16 layered consciousness level. Because ultimately we're supposed to hold all 12 archetypes 26:24 of consciousness, right, Ally? Within us. Absolutely. Absolutely. That's the balance. 26:30 That's the balance. And that's you had one of your questions was like what's a really common misunderstanding that was one of the misconception questions. 26:38 Yeah, that is that is the number one. 26:43 It's not it's not like you're cutting off a branch of the analysis and how astrology can work with your life. You are cutting it at the root if you think 26:53 that you are only the signs that you have planets in. That is a number one misconception that I see is people go, I 27:01 don't have any planets in cancer. It's not me. It's not in my life. It's not me. When actually probably bringing in cancer is exactly what you need to do to find balance. 27:11 So looking at the empty signs in your chart can be exactly the place that you need to go to help balance so much of 27:19 your chart. I have been I have been consciously working with bringing in the activities and practices and behaviors 27:26 and responses of signs that I do not have planets in. 27:30 And I have had the most successful, the most balanced, the most nervous system regulated year and a half. 27:38 Yes. 27:39 Where I've done more than I've ever done before and felt the most relaxed I've ever felt. Intuitively, I feel like for women 27:47 that's so essential what you just articulated about the empty houses. I feel like it's part of our soul 27:54 retrieval work. I know for men it might be in the same way, but I feel like for women in particular, just if you put the 28:02 words together, empty house, like you [clears throat] think to yourself, oh, that's one place I don't have to maintain, [laughter] 28:11 one place I don't have to do anything with. It's great. 28:13 Yeah. You go Yeah. And and that's often the thing about it is it's often where you know it's where strength is. 28:20 It's it's really important, but it's also where a lot of discomfort is for us. So, if you have no Aries and you have a lot of Libra and you're used to 28:27 people pleasing and you come to me and I say, "Hey, you need to get in more arguments, you need to actually raise your voice a little louder when you're 28:36 speaking and assert yourself, you know, that's going to feel uncomfortable for you because the way that I see it is it's like you you have this table, 28:44 right? And imagine that like, you know, you exist above that. You aren't you can you can put some separation between that. You're the self, capital S, right? 28:54 We're above that. We've got 12 seats at the table. 28:57 If you have planets there, it's like you have a bunch of representatives in those places, but then you've only got one voice in empty Aries or you've got nobody there. 29:05 Nobody's been there because you ain't practiced Aries or nobody's nobody's rested ever because you don't have any Taurus. Yes. 29:12 And so then finally when clients come to me and I go, "Hey, you have no Taurus in your chart. You have no Cancer in your chart. You have no Pisces in your chart. 29:20 You have none of these signs that lean into comfort and understand relaxation and understand taking care of yourself. 29:26 You have none of that. You're middle-aged. You're permenopausal. 29:30 You're running on empty. You're irritable. You're burnt out. You're at a job you don't like in a marriage you don't like. You know, I we need to at 29:38 least find some [ __ ] comfort and pleasure and relax. We need to tone some things down and start resting, start 29:46 appreciating the moment, appreciating being here because people like that are like leaned forward into the future. 29:53 Whereas Pisces and you know Pisces is allows for release and dissolving which is important for that process. But especially with Cancer and Taurus, they 30:02 really understand what here is, you know, and so that's something that often a lot of pe a lot of people who come to 30:09 me are actually missing planets in Taurus and Cancer. And so part of the medicine is taking care of yourself. 30:16 Like finding real pleasure in having a body, touching your like selfing, 30:24 touching your whole body, loving your body, moving your body, just being here, putting down the phone, sitting outside, 30:32 maybe meditating or just clearing your mind, you know, all of that is so important. And once you start doing so 30:39 for me, if you looked at my life now and looked at the things that I do in my week, in my in my day, you'd say, "Wow, this person is so 30:48 Taurus and so Pisces and so Cancer. You must be like have a bunch of planets there." And it's like, no, it's not about where you have planets. 30:56 It's about what you do. 30:59 Are you going to do it? Do you do you want Gemini in your life? Well, maybe that's going to be uncomfortable, but you need to communicate your truth and that's part of your journey. If you've 31:08 got So, I would say if you have empty signs, that's a really good place to look for balance. Usually, when you have 31:15 Chiron in a sign, we want to examine our wound there. So, leaning into healthy aspects of that sign or balancing with 31:22 the opposite sign is really good for that. Signs that have cancer or sorry, signs that have Saturn in there can 31:29 sometimes have a restricted quality. So sometimes we need to heal there before we're really able to find balance with 31:37 that sign because you know like and something that kind of leaning back to 31:44 our conversation about needing to fit in a box in in the spiritual community. 31:49 Yeah. something that along the lines of this conversation we're having that that is an important process is like Leo and 31:57 Aquarius that journey where if you really do well with your Aquarius and you're really leaning to that Aquarius 32:06 you're going to just do have such a strong Leo and if you're really able to Leo you can have such a strong Aquarius 32:15 they work together it's even though you know you need strength on either side. 32:19 If you have, imagine two sides of a of a tug of rope. 32:24 If you have one that's super strong, you just knock the other one over. But the stronger you both are, the more pressure you can, the more you 32:32 can pull, the more you can do, the more energy that's so you want like and speaking of Leo and Aquarius, getting to that more in a more 32:40 detailed psychological way. You know, Aquarius has a process of usually often, especially when it's young, being 32:48 excluded. There's a there's a part of us that experiences I'm an outsider, you know, and you feel excluded or or 32:56 you get get into a place where if I'm going to be me, I'm going to be disliked. If I'm going to be who I am, 33:03 I'm going to be at risk of being cast out or not people not liking me. But guess what? I'm going to [ __ ] do it anyway. So part of our journey in life 33:12 and that's part of our Uranus journey as it moves through you know and transits itself as o over the course of our life. 33:18 We need to be able to step out and say I'm just going to be me. You know what? 33:23 And this is important as you move through like the early 40s. I call the 40s the [ __ ] you 40s because because you learn you get a 33:32 little bit of that. You know what? I don't [ __ ] care. I don't have enough energy for this. I'm going to just be me. I don't care anymore. you know, and 33:39 well, then you do the [ __ ] it 50s, my friend. 33:41 And then your 50s and then you do the [ __ ] you ascend space. You're in space then. You you've ascended as a a different being. You've risen again. 33:51 Um, so that's Yeah, it's important to be able to do that. It's very important. 33:57 But then what you don't want to do is go, I'm going to be me and I'm going to just hide out in my house and then when I go out, I'm going to be crotchety and I'm not going to participate and I'm not going to be part of the group ever. 34:07 Yeah. And Leo knows about that. 34:10 So when you have a a nice strong Leo that can go, I'm going to sh instead of shining an inauthentic light just so that you like this light, 34:18 what I'm going to do is shine my now I have a strong Aquarian root that goes I'm going to be me and I'm going to shine that [ __ ] light really loud. 34:27 The stronger I can go, I don't care what people think, the brighter I'm shining my light because I'm not holding it back for anyone. 34:35 Yes. That's the au. Yeah, that's the authenticity journey. But but they're they work together. They work together complimentary. 34:43 You don't want a Leo that feels like, you know, Leos [snorts] are are often have a lot of pressure put on them to 34:52 show up in a in a certain way. It's a fixed sign. 34:55 We expect them to always reflect us. We respect them to be sunny. We expect them to be nice. We expect them to be easygoing and and pleasant to be around. 35:04 We have a lot of expectations of Leos and so sometimes they feel like their sun has to just always be risen, you know. 35:12 So allowing their sun to set into Aquarius where you shut the door and now you can 35:20 really allow you know yourself. There's the masking that we do for for people and we have to put it down, you know. Um 35:30 and so those when you when you work with both of them they become really strong. That's so beautiful. 35:37 And you become really strong. You know, you know, intuitively I've believed this and like a lot of old-timey astrologers 35:45 will kind of laugh at me when I talk about your compliment, you know, meaning I have to master 35:53 Capricorn like I embrace my half birthday because I used to hit the skids 36:01 in Capricorn season. And I was like, "This is cold. This is dark. This is the opposite of everything." I would take January, February, and March just off 36:09 the calendar altogether. Like, like, I can't do this. 36:14 When [clears throat] I like entered into the space of embracing old man Winter, like I'm going to give him a big hug and 36:22 make friends with him, it started to bring so much balance 36:28 within my ecosystem of my body, my spirit. 36:33 Yep. Yep. and then applying that to where I feel like I can enjoy what people would call your detriment. 36:44 You know, I just being a hypnotherapist, I'm very mindful of words like that. And as an NLPer, like I'm just like I don't 36:52 even want to put the suggestion in there of detriment. 36:56 I would say and you're explaining to me your compliment. Yeah. You have to find this balance. 37:05 Wow, Ally. I mean, this is like a mic drop about the empty houses. I'm I'm loving this. This is so This is working 37:13 with the chart in balance and working therapeutically. It's about having the chart help you. 37:20 Um, and it really it really does make a huge difference. And you know, it gets 37:26 down to it's it's super practical. Um it's like you know say you've got I have Chiron in Leo right I don't have 37:35 anything else in Leo and then I have all these other placements that like you know I have I have Saturn conjunct the 37:43 moon in Aquarius it's tight and then it's exactly squaring my Mars Mercury conjunction in Scorpio tight and then 37:50 you know so I have this like kind of whole tightening thing happening um with Saturn 37:58 um But boy oh boy, like I'm skipping topics, but boy oh boy, like the the 38:05 power of finding balance with these opposites is so powerful. And here here's what Oh, 38:14 I was going to say um there's there's all these like practical activities with the signs like my Kiron and Leo and my 38:22 tightness. Um I I stopped moving. M I stopped moving my body. I didn't want 38:29 to I I was like I don't even want to get married because I don't want to have to [ __ ] dance in front of everybody, you know, and I was feeling all self-conscious about that. 38:38 And I'd been a musician. I've been a musician my whole life, but I was standing behind a guitar, you know, and I was way more in my body when I was 38:46 younger. And I was on stage. I was doing theater, so I was dancing a lot on stage. And then everything kind of closed down. 38:53 And then I started singing backing vocals in a psychedelic southern rock band. And we're we're going on tour 39:00 tomorrow. I'm going to Vegas tomorrow in Utah and Colorado. 39:09 [singing] 39:10 [music] 39:14 spinning around. [music] Um, so I'm having so much fun, but you 39:23 can't stand there when a psyched psychedelic southern rock band is jamming out behind you. So I have had to 39:31 be on this whole Aquarius Leo liberation journey where I am now if you watch me dance up there, you are like that girl is 39:40 comfortable on stage. I love this, you know, and I was uncomfortable and it was very uncomfortable and it felt like heavy and tight and didn't feel right. 39:49 And now the more that I have been in my Aquarius, the more I'm like, I don't care. I'm just here to enjoy the music. 39:55 I'm here to dance and have fun. The more I get in the Aquarius, the more liberated I am with my movement. And I've just brought a lot more movement 40:03 into my life. Um, I just do a lot more moves throughout the day. And especially because you know there's a larger 40:11 archetypal there's a larger conversation here Michelle. Okay we we're going to like I'm I have Uranus at the top of my chart here in my 10th house of career. 40:20 We're going to blow we're going to blow the lid off here. Okay. So astrology is about categorizing experience and 40:28 emotion into 12 archetypes that are related. So what's mystical is that all these things 40:36 are related in this different way. The astrology doesn't have to be mystical. 40:42 What's mystical is right here that's happening now. Yes. 40:46 It's worshiping the box that we put all this stuff in. Mhm. Versus worshiping what's inside. Yes. 40:53 Is it about Aries, the god Aries, the planet, this the archetype, or we're lost in the vision of what that is? Or is it the warrior? 41:03 That's what's divine. The seedling. 41:07 That's what's divine. Right there. The seedling in front of your house right here. That's what's divine. 41:13 So, you don't need to know anything about astrology. You don't need to know anything about transits. You don't need 41:20 to know any of that. All you need to know is I've been sitting clenched all day. I should move and free my body. 41:28 Yes, I've been really critical. I lean need to lean into compassion and and openness and creativity. You 41:36 know, I've been hiding. I need to find my release. I've been I've been hiding my truth. I'm going to I'm going to do some journaling or I'm going to go into 41:44 therapy. I'm going to It's about finding balance. It's about responding. So, you don't need to know any of the transits that are going to happen to you. What's important is how you're able to respond 41:53 to them. Are you resilient? Yes. Are you able to find enough balance in your day when something throws you off? When you get hit because guess what? Parents are going to die. People are going to die. 42:02 Bad things are going to happen. You are going to get sick. 42:05 Terrible things will happen. And it doesn't matter if you know when that's going to happen. 42:09 Like what's important is how you're able to respond to it when that thing comes. 42:14 That's right. That's right. That's what we talk all all the time is that your power is in the response. Yeah. 42:20 Your power is in the response. And so like I'll have a Gen X moment with you. 42:25 That's like a total George Castanza life hack from Seinfeld which is like just do the damn opposite. Like do the opposite. 42:35 Just do the ever you are like tight like you got to go and do the opposite. Just do the opposite. 42:43 It is so profound to create that balance and that compliment. Yeah. 42:50 180 degree turn is transformation that I think that Uranus like is really 42:59 teaching us in Aquarius that we have to detach to attach. 43:06 We have to be really uncomfortable to really become ourselves. Yeah, I know. [laughter] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. 43:12 It's like it's like this like back and forth and you know I I just honestly. So, I just want to do a 43:21 playful astrology like myth or truth thing with you before we like let you get away from us and like a little lightning round because we're we're loving this. Okay. 43:31 So, Mercury retrograde ruining everything like [laughter] myth or 43:37 I would say I would say myth it per our conversation you got to just it's about how you respond to things when get when 43:45 how you respond when things get frustrating. Yes. Clean out the closet. 43:50 Do you just release and go, you know what? Or are you still bearing down even when it's just not working again and again? Just it's about release the grip 43:58 and flow in a different way because I was struggling. So, you know, you can struggle so hard with something and then realize later that night, I could have done something totally different. I didn't even need to struggle. 44:07 Absolutely. So, it's flow with it. Flow with it. Inflammation in the body. 44:12 There's so much resistance that we hold spiritually, emotionally, physically. 44:16 And I'm like, if we can just like let it flow, let it go, it shifts everything. Totally. Yeah. Okay. 44:24 Do opposites attract? I think they do. 44:28 I think they do. I'm getting married to an Aries and I'm a Libra [laughter] love. 44:34 And so opposites attract, but opposites can also conflict. And that's just a part of finding balance and being the 44:42 dance of balance and it's part of what relationships are. 44:45 So love this. They do. 44:47 Okay, I know this one because you're going to it's your son. This is like so cliche, but I had to put it in here because 44:54 people are listening at all levels. Like your sun sign kind of tells like the heart of your story. Myth or truth? 45:02 I would say the sun sign is like the quality of the light over 45:09 the landscape. M so for me everything kind of exists in this kind of Libra land. Yeah. 45:17 You know and so it's sort of like that's an important part of the story but sometimes we can forget that we live in Liberland. 45:24 We we can just sometimes forget that we are in there because it's just kind of shaping the landscape. So 45:30 [clears throat] 45:30 I think it's people way way overemphasize it. It's just one part of a hugely complex story. Okay. I love that. 45:39 Okay. So, where are you at with Saturn? 45:42 Is Saturn like the bad luck? Like the tough place? 45:46 Where are you at with Saturn? Where am I at with Saturn? Saturn, if you're listening, um I totally respect you. Um I am here. I am your servant. Um I will 45:55 do whatever you want. I literally respect you so much. Don't don't [ __ ] with me again. I can't handle it. Um but 46:02 no, Saturn is uh the most important teacher in my life. 46:06 Yes. Um and I Uranus is a very important teacher in my life. Um but Saturn can be 46:13 Saturn can give you the biggest most important gifts of your life, but it's just it's uncomfortable to climb a mountain. 46:22 Yeah, it just I'm climbing Kilamanjaro. I'm I'm heading towards my second Saturn return. 46:29 And um you know in one of your skits when it was like I couldn't it was like a Sag and Aries and a Gemini trying to 46:37 plan a trip to Rome and Sag is like hey man why don't we just go to Kil Mjaro. 46:42 Oh yeah [laughter] like I so feel that like I just so oh my god that so resonated with me. Okay so 46:50 the funniest sign stereotype my friend we're going to bust into the lightning round that still makes you laugh. Um, Libras can't make decisions because I 46:59 thought about that question for like a really long time and then just like, oh my god, it's Libra can't make decisions. That's what it is. I love that. Okay. 47:08 The most misunderstood sign according to you, Ally. Um, I would say Scorpio. 47:15 Oh, Scorpio's deep water. 47:19 I would say they feel misunderstood and often are like they'll they'll sometimes people will say, "Oh, you're a Scorpio." and then reject them immediately. 47:28 Oh yeah. 47:28 Like that kind of thing where they're like, "Yeah, I'm just misunderstood because everybody just nobody even wants to go there, you know." And also like 47:37 there's Yeah. the dark waters. Deep dark waters. 47:41 Um they are funny people though. They are so smart. 47:45 I love I love anybody with Scorp anything in going on in Scorpio. 47:49 Yes. I I love my Scorpio brothers and sisters. Okay. So what? So this is kind of redundant, but you might think it's 47:57 Scorpio, you might think it's something else. Like what if you had like a PR department to redo like the reputation of a sign? What sign would you redo? 48:07 Their rep. Just their reputation. 48:09 You know, I would say um I'm going to say Debra because I have a personal beef. This is coming 48:18 personally from me, Ally. [gasps] Um but like you know and I have a bunch of Scorpio placements. I have three planets in Scorpio. Um 48:26 yes and um you know so I have that those kind of deep dark trauma waters um going on in there. But I feel like what Libra 48:36 misses out on is this is cardinal [ __ ] air. This is an idea sign. 48:41 So Libra is great in a brainstorm. Libra can consider a bunch of different things in a brainstorm. Let's hold all the different options like between all the 48:50 different like Libra is good at helping come up with ideas. Yes. And it's and we we miss out on the the intellectual 48:58 component of it. And you also think about like how Libra, you know, oh, it's just like a social sign. It takes a lot of intelligence 49:07 to be social. It takes a lot of brain to be social and do it well and have people [ __ ] like you and enjoy being around you. It does. 49:17 And become a cult leader. 49:18 That's a skill. And become a cult leader. It takes a lot of skill. It takes a lot of Libra. A lot of Libra. 49:24 I also I have um I have Venus Jupiter conjunct in Virgo. So that's part of in my house. You could organize it. Yep. 49:31 Um but also it's like very practical down to earth philosophy kind of thing. 49:35 But then trining my Uranus Neptune conjunction. So I have Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune, you know. [laughter] 49:43 Oh my god. But yeah, so Libra needs Libra needs to understand the intellectual aspect of Libra. Okay. They need a reputation update. 49:51 Okay. What do you think is the transit that people most overreact to? 49:57 Um I think people don't know about most big transits. Like they know about Saturn Return, which I don't think you 50:05 can overreact to. I think it can sometimes just be so [ __ ] horrible. 50:09 You cannot overreact to that. It's just bad. You know, sometimes some Saturn returns, my Saturn return just horrible. 50:15 Nothing bad about nothing good about that. Not overreacting. Um, but I would say that Mercury retrograde where it's 50:23 like people people look at astrology and say this is happening to us. They'll go they'll blame the astrology for things 50:30 that are happening and they'll say, "Oh, it's Mercury retrograde. I'm going to blame And it's like no this is if you have a more kind of holistic approach to 50:38 it or a spiritual approach to it. This is as you move through the transits this is a path of practice. Yes. 50:44 The life is going to rub up against you to test you. That's right. 50:47 And even you know Buddhist monks multiple of the of the six perfections. 50:52 Patience generosity. You can't practice without working with other people. You can't be patient if you don't have things that ruffle you up. 50:59 That's right. You chose this chart. your soul. 51:01 This is this is your path of practice, bro. That's right. That's right. 51:05 So, how are you going to respond to that? By blaming astrology. Astrologers for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years did not believe that the planets caused anything. 51:15 It's just a reflection of what's happening here. 51:18 So, you're bringing this quality so you can, you know, respond in a different way. I think that some of that also is the 51:26 collective victimization that we might see a shift now that Chiron is moving out of Aries. I think 51:33 that we're very much those of us that are awakening recognize a biopication not of right nor wrong but of actually 51:43 creator and victim. And I do not say that with judgment. I just say that as an observer. 51:51 Right? 51:51 Okay. just another me, right? Because I have that within me that I see. Yeah. 51:58 Okay. So, you know, for sure, um, we are growing in profound ways that we I think that we have never 52:07 never [clears throat] grown before. But I want to ask you one astrology term that you wish that more people understood correctly that could help us. 52:15 So, I would say I I want you to understand the houses because a lot of people stop at the signs and the 52:22 planets. They That's kind of the next level. It's very hard to get through the houses. 52:27 Um, but the houses are not so hard if you work with them like how I work with them, and I know we're running out of time. This is not a promo, but I do 52:34 teach a class on houses that make it really easy to understand. So important. 52:39 Um, so basically, I like to work with the houses as triads. Yes. that are bound with the elements. 52:47 So for instance, the first, fifth, and 9inth houses, which which all trine together because they're all of the same element. 52:55 They're like the houses of spirit. So the first house of self, how I move through the world. Yes. 53:00 Fifth house of what comes out of the self like creativity and children and play and fun and performance. 53:06 Ninth house of what expands the self, higher learning, spirituality, religion. 53:12 So those are the houses of self and so or of spirit and so if you have fire there we have to watch out for burnout. 53:19 If you have fire there you we want you to make your decision right now. You know exactly how you feel. You know that 53:26 you have you know your response from your body right away and we have to honor that you know. So there's things that we know there. And then of course the the uh other really important 53:35 houses, the second house of obviously like how you make your money and your resources, your sixth house of your work and your day, your 10th house of your 53:43 career. Those are like the livelihood houses. So you've got the spirit houses and the livelihood houses. So you've got a lot of people with water rising that 53:50 are very creative, depth, emotional souls, but they have fire on their houses of livelihood. So once again, they might burn themselves out through 53:59 their work or eventually in life, what they find is I actually want to take a more independent path with my livelihood. So I want to start a 54:07 business being a distance raiki energy healer or from my house and I'm going to do my own thing. So a lot of water risings come to me like that. And so you 54:15 work with these house triads and it makes it so much easier to understand. 54:20 And then once you get into house rulership, like if I do a house rulership analysis with a chart, I can immediately understand, oh, what does 54:27 this person kind of do? What's your life like? What's it? It's just like immediately obvious. So, I want people to learn houses and I want people to learn house rulership. And then you'll take it to the next level. 54:36 Yes. That's the next level. 54:38 I love that. Okay. So, do you believe that Taurus rules earth? 54:44 I think Taurus is an expression of Earth. I mean that earth rules Taurus in terms of like the leadership of the planet because some people believe like 54:52 Chiron and Virgo go together like that's one of Oh yeah, it's an I can understand that 55:00 like with house rulers and like I don't see the I understand what you're saying. the the some astrologers think 55:08 that like the first house maps to Aries maps to Taurus and I do not believe that at all. That 55:16 is modern radically modern and I I cast my aspersions upon them. 55:22 Everybody can kind of do that, but that's that's not at all how it just it just is 55:28 it muddies the water and it it doesn't approach. It doesn't work for understanding the chart. You have to it's it's 12 x 12 * 12 * 12 * 12, baby. 55:40 Like it's not it's not 12 on 12. It's not simple like that. 55:44 That's right. That's right. No, this has been a very profound and fun and meaningful 55:52 like conversation simultaneously.
