- 0:00Speaker 1: Miss Mouth, hast Go Off Seattle.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Welcome to Seattle crackin Hockey on the Global Credit Union
- 0:07Speaker 2: Kraken Naudio network, brought to you by Coors, l Like

- 0:15Speaker 2: Muckleshoot Casino Resort, and by Luna and Simetra.
- 0:21Speaker 3: It was another frustrating outing for the Seattle Kraken Thursday
- 0:24Speaker 3: in Calgary, as the Kraken fell for the tenth time
- 0:28Speaker 3: in their last eleven games. It was a promising start
- 0:31Speaker 3: for Seattle, who took a two to one lead into
- 0:33Speaker 3: the third, back by Chandlers Stevenson's third goal in as
- 0:36Speaker 3: many games and Coppocaco's second of the season. The Flames
- 0:39Speaker 3: turned up the heat, firing fourteen shots on goal and
- 0:43Speaker 3: lighting the lamp three times in the third.
- 0:46Speaker 1: On their way to a four to two win.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Tonight, following a holiday roster freeze move, Seattle heads to
- 0:52Speaker 3: the Bay Area to take on a San Jose Sharks
- 0:55Speaker 3: team who have won four of their last six games
- 0:58Speaker 3: and are currently seven points ahead of the Seattle Kraken
- 1:01Speaker 3: for the final wildcard spot in the West. Good evening,
- 1:04Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome inside of SAP Center at San Jose.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Alongside al Kiniski, I am everat Fitziu. This is Seattle
- 1:11Speaker 3: Crack and Hockey on the Global Credit Union Cracking Audio Network.
- 1:14Speaker 3: You are listening to the pregame show served up by
- 1:17Speaker 3: Frost Brew Corps Light Choose Chill Al Following the loss
- 1:21Speaker 3: on Thursday of the Crack and making a major roster
- 1:23Speaker 3: move yesterday trading forward Mason Marshmip to the Columbus Blue
- 1:27Speaker 3: Jackets in exchange for a second round pick in twenty
- 1:30Speaker 3: twenty seven and a fourth round pick in this coming
- 1:33Speaker 3: year's draft twenty twenty six.
- 1:35Speaker 1: For Mason Marshmoth, a player that never.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Was really able to find his footing in his stride
- 1:41Speaker 3: here with Seattle.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Now he's been given a fresh opportunity in Columbus. Yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 4: I mean he's moved around the line up quite a
- 1:46Speaker 4: bit in different areas. Let the power play time as well.
- 1:48Speaker 4: And you know, other than the game where he got
- 1:50Speaker 4: two goals, he just had a real hard time getting
- 1:53Speaker 4: some consistent flow.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Twenty nine games for the Crack in four goals in
- 1:56Speaker 3: nine as sists for Mason Marshmoth in that time for
- 1:59Speaker 3: the kracking Thursday of four to two loss to the
- 2:02Speaker 3: Calgary Flames, and the Kraken after a two to one
- 2:05Speaker 3: lead after the third period, as has been the trend
- 2:08Speaker 3: in recent games, the Kraken losing it in the third
- 2:11Speaker 3: period three goals allowed, including an empty net or in
- 2:14Speaker 3: the third the Kraken have been outscored twenty ea to
- 2:17Speaker 3: five on their current nine to one stretch in the
- 2:21Speaker 3: third periods.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Absolutely, you know that third period league grabbing the first
- 2:24Speaker 4: goal the game was big as well. The Kraken able
- 2:26Speaker 4: to do that. Their power play went one for four,
- 2:29Speaker 4: the penalty kill stopped three of four, so things working
- 2:32Speaker 4: well on the special teams.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's the even strength, Yeah, that was the challenge.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Cracking twelve even strength goals in the month of December,
- 2:40Speaker 3: that is second fewest in the NHL. However, their eight
- 2:43Speaker 3: power play goals leading the NHL.
- 2:46Speaker 1: In the month of December.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, this is an area that has to
- 2:48Speaker 4: be addressed. And you know, you ask, well, how can
- 2:51Speaker 4: you score more on on the power play? There are
- 2:53Speaker 4: there are personnel issues, there's movement, honey, score more five
- 2:57Speaker 4: on five. You just got to win more puck battles
- 2:58Speaker 4: and go.
- 2:59Speaker 1: To the net with the puck on the other side
- 3:00Speaker 1: of the red line.
- 3:01Speaker 3: The San Jose Sharks a team that has made no
- 3:04Speaker 3: secret and no bones about their rebuild over the past
- 3:07Speaker 3: couple of years, but now you're seeing those dividends start
- 3:10Speaker 3: to pay off. Currently holding down the second and final
- 3:13Speaker 3: wildcard spot in the Pacific Division, they are fifth or
- 3:17Speaker 3: in the Western Conference rather fifth in the Pacific and
- 3:19Speaker 3: Maclinze Labrini a huge reason for that. He has accounted
- 3:23Speaker 3: for over half fifty point five percent of the offense
- 3:27Speaker 3: this year for San Jose one hundred and four goals
- 3:30Speaker 3: for them.
- 3:30Speaker 1: He has been a part of fifty three of those goals.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean fifteen of those points have come on
- 3:35Speaker 4: the power play, so it's not all power play activity
- 3:37Speaker 4: for him with all.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Of those goals.
- 3:39Speaker 4: He's playing with Colin Graff, an undrafted player on the
- 3:42Speaker 4: left wing, and Igor Turnershov who's only played two games,
- 3:46Speaker 4: so it's not like you said, the same wingers all
- 3:48Speaker 4: season along. He's a guy that can get it done
- 3:50Speaker 4: regardless of the personnel on either side of them.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Cracking and trying to win the season series over the
- 3:55Speaker 3: San Jose Sharks. They've split both games, in Seattle. This
- 3:58Speaker 3: will be the finale of the three season series coming
- 4:01Speaker 3: up here tonight, back in Seattle. Mike Benson is standing

- 6:50Speaker 2: from SAP Center of San Jose, the Seattle Cracking take
- 6:54Speaker 2: on the San Jose Sharks, and we are about thirty
- 6:57Speaker 2: one minutes away from puck drop in San Jose. And
- 6:59Speaker 2: you know what else is just thirty minutes so way, Well,
- 7:02Speaker 2: that would be snow Qualme Casino and hotel.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Visit Seattle's close to sportsbook and bet three ways on
- 7:07Speaker 6: the Kraken ticket windows on psychiosk or my favorite, the
- 7:11Speaker 6: snow Qualme Casino mobile app. Mike betting with you back
- 7:15Speaker 6: in Network Central. Well, the Kraken trying to break out
- 7:17Speaker 6: of their eleven game skid right now, just one win
- 7:21Speaker 6: in that span. They stand twelve to fourteen and six
- 7:24Speaker 6: thirty points right now, and unfortunately nobody behind them right
- 7:27Speaker 6: now in the West, as they stand seven points out
- 7:29Speaker 6: of the cut line entering today. This is game two
- 7:32Speaker 6: of the four game trip and they're facing San Jose
- 7:35Speaker 6: for one last time, the Sharks coming in seventeen fifteen
- 7:39Speaker 6: and three, holding the last wild card spot at thirty
- 7:42Speaker 6: seven points. They have won four of their last six.
- 7:46Speaker 6: Will you figure eventually something's going to break up this slide?
- 7:49Speaker 6: The Crack in one nine and one in that recent stretch,
- 7:52Speaker 6: as we said, But could a jolt on the roster
- 7:55Speaker 6: do the trick? As ever written now mentioned last night
- 7:58Speaker 6: Mason Marshman delta columb shortly before the holiday roster freeze
- 8:02Speaker 6: and the Cracking getting two picks back, including a second
- 8:05Speaker 6: rounder in twenty twenty seven. So the implications the Crack
- 8:08Speaker 6: can get more draft capital and if the trade could
- 8:10Speaker 6: be in the works here sooner than later, there's more
- 8:13Speaker 6: cap space also to work with Columbus taken on all
- 8:16Speaker 6: of Marchman's salary and in the Cracking cupboard right now
- 8:20Speaker 6: five draft picks in the first round next three drafts,
- 8:25Speaker 6: ten draft picks first two rounds next three drafts as well.
- 8:29Speaker 6: The roster freeze again in effect until a week from tomorrow,
- 8:33Speaker 6: so which means no trades, no waivers, no loans, but
- 8:36Speaker 6: teams can make emergency recalls and also places players on
- 8:40Speaker 6: IR so the Kraken finding a way to strike shortly
- 8:43Speaker 6: before the bell and shake things up here on their roster.
- 8:47Speaker 6: You also can't blend them a Thursday, they felt pretty
- 8:49Speaker 6: downcast despite a four to two loss in Calgary. But
- 8:52Speaker 6: yet we're told morning Skate today the Krake in turning
- 8:55Speaker 6: a bit of a one point eighty here as far
- 8:57Speaker 6: as their mood, and they're trying to bounce back from
- 8:59Speaker 6: a four to two loss in Calgary where the Cracking
- 9:02Speaker 6: were rolling in the penalty kill, but then two penalties
- 9:05Speaker 6: in the span of two thirty three spun the game
- 9:08Speaker 6: out of control. Nazem Kadri, Matt Coronado, Michael Backlin scoring
- 9:12Speaker 6: three unanswered goals to a Crack and team missing Jerre McCann,
- 9:17Speaker 6: Jaden Schwartz and Brandon Montur who are all out of
- 9:20Speaker 6: the lineup, and that night nineteen goals combined the Crack
- 9:23Speaker 6: and we're missing right now seventy nine goals total, so
- 9:26Speaker 6: a big chunk missing with those trio on the shelf.
- 9:30Speaker 6: But the Cracking right now doing a few good things
- 9:32Speaker 6: under the hood twice. They have now left last two
- 9:35Speaker 6: games after two periods led by the way, we should say,
- 9:37Speaker 6: against Calgary and Colorado. So you figure you clean things
- 9:40Speaker 6: up in period three, you might be on a better
- 9:43Speaker 6: path right now. Also in shot volume, the Kraken eight
- 9:46Speaker 6: of the last nine games fit sixty shot attempts or
- 9:49Speaker 6: more and special teams the power play. They've scored a
- 9:52Speaker 6: goal now three straight games, also five of the last
- 9:55Speaker 6: six and in total eight power play goals last eight games,
- 9:58Speaker 6: ranking tied for fifth the league in that span. So ultimately,
- 10:02Speaker 6: can the Crack can be opportunistic while minding put control
- 10:06Speaker 6: and penalties in period three?
- 10:08Speaker 1: Crack and story.
- 10:09Speaker 6: Lines first up begin with Coppocco up this evening with
- 10:13Speaker 6: Maddy Beniers and Jordan every and Cocko playing with Paneers
- 10:16Speaker 6: for the first time, says November eleventh. A goal or
- 10:19Speaker 6: an assist means his first three game pointstreak of this
- 10:23Speaker 6: entire season. He scored, of course two nights ago. Beniers
- 10:27Speaker 6: meanwhile trying to get out of a four game goal
- 10:28Speaker 6: scoring drought he needs to assist to reach one hundred
- 10:31Speaker 6: in his NHL career, and Jordan Neberley, now with points
- 10:34Speaker 6: in six of the last eight games. Secondly, this guy
- 10:38Speaker 6: right here on an offensive run hold it in front.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Sdavid said, what a goal. He star.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Points in seven straight goals in back to back games
- 10:53Speaker 3: for Stevie Luonder.
- 10:54Speaker 1: It's a one nothing Seattle lead, twelve to eight to
- 10:58Speaker 1: play in the second well Cockery try to get the
- 11:00Speaker 1: home run pass up the middle.
- 11:01Speaker 4: It's picked off, I believe by Jimmy Alexiak, who then
- 11:04Speaker 4: fed it over to Stevenson down that left side, and Stevenson.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Makes a great move on Dustin Wolf, putting his team
- 11:11Speaker 1: up one nothing. Chandler.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Stevenson's got a seven game points streak entering this one
- 11:15Speaker 6: with seven points as well in that span. A goal
- 11:18Speaker 6: or an assist would give him a new career best
- 11:20Speaker 6: eight game points streak. Also, he's got goals in three
- 11:23Speaker 6: consecutive games. Our third story line Joey Decord. He's back
- 11:27Speaker 6: in net tonight and he earned it despite the loss
- 11:29Speaker 6: in Calgary, making forty two saves, matching a career high,
- 11:33Speaker 6: and against San Jose he's three and four in seven games,
- 11:37Speaker 6: eight eight nine save percentage, and he's aiming for his
- 11:39Speaker 6: first road win since the twentieth of November at Chicago.
- 11:43Speaker 6: Let's hear more from the Kraken and back here to
- 11:45Speaker 6: the third periods. Jordan Neverie, the cracking captain, said, details
- 11:49Speaker 6: certainly matter with getting results back on track.
- 11:52Speaker 9: Obviously, we've lost nine our last ten. I think I
- 11:55Speaker 9: look at all of them. I think we've been tighter
- 11:59Speaker 9: leading third period.
- 12:00Speaker 4: I think six of them.
- 12:02Speaker 9: You know, I think it just comes down to the
- 12:03Speaker 9: little plays, whether it's p k's or wall plays or
- 12:06Speaker 9: decisions at the blue line, that has costed us games
- 12:09Speaker 9: and goals. I think I look early in the year,
- 12:11Speaker 9: you know, we were detailed and we were doing the
- 12:12Speaker 9: right things, and we're on the other side of that
- 12:14Speaker 9: right now we're not. So we got to figure out
- 12:16Speaker 9: I mean, the recipes there. We know what we have
- 12:17Speaker 9: to do to get on the other side of that.
- 12:19Speaker 9: It's just a matter of doing it. There's lots of
- 12:22Speaker 9: season off. You look at the standings, you know we
- 12:24Speaker 9: have games in hand, but at the end of the day,
- 12:26Speaker 9: we have to we have to find a way to
- 12:27Speaker 9: There's no more moral victories. We got to find a
- 12:29Speaker 9: way to get a win.
- 12:29Speaker 6: Eberally even got of the part that he talks about
- 12:32Speaker 6: a lot, and it's about how details matter in the
- 12:34Speaker 6: scope of close games.
- 12:36Speaker 9: I've said this a million times that the line between
- 12:38Speaker 9: winning and losing and it's it's so it's so close,
- 12:41Speaker 9: and you know, obviously we're right there, but it to
- 12:44Speaker 9: become a winning team and consistently you have to play
- 12:46Speaker 9: the right way all the time and not ninety percent
- 12:48Speaker 9: of the time, and especially in the team when we're
- 12:50Speaker 9: over super you know, struggling and put the buck in
- 12:53Speaker 9: the back of that and take over games. You know
- 12:55Speaker 9: you're going to be in every match. And that's kind
- 12:56Speaker 9: of what we started with the identity at the start
- 12:58Speaker 9: of the years. We wanted to make sure teams new
- 13:00Speaker 9: they were in a game, and we've done that for
- 13:01Speaker 9: the most part, and we just got to find ourselves the.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Other end of it.
- 13:03Speaker 6: Verily then talked about how much is new line made
- 13:06Speaker 6: for tonight coup Ocaco can make a big difference with
- 13:09Speaker 6: the strength and the hands that Coco's got now working
- 13:12Speaker 6: with him and Beneers.
- 13:13Speaker 9: You know, he's starting to find his game a little
- 13:15Speaker 9: bit too. Obviously, I've I've had injuries in camp and
- 13:18Speaker 9: it's never easy to come back and he's starting to
- 13:20Speaker 9: find it now, which is great. So you know, just
- 13:23Speaker 9: trying to find some consistency as far as up and
- 13:25Speaker 9: down the lineup. We've always been a team that relied
- 13:28Speaker 9: on you know, all three four lives contributing, and we
- 13:31Speaker 9: can get back to.
- 13:32Speaker 6: That couple lineup notes here looks like Brandon Monturs out
- 13:35Speaker 6: again this evening and with Mason Marchman moving on, Ryan
- 13:38Speaker 6: Winterton is back in. We'll come back in a bit
- 13:41Speaker 6: and take a look at San Jose after this. You're

- 16:20Speaker 6: But Smith's hurt got hurt last week at Pittsburgh, appeared

- 16:26Speaker 6: showing that he's arrived third right now in NHL is
- 16:29Speaker 6: scoring after their last game against Dallas fifty three points.
- 16:31Speaker 6: By the way, he's got heading into this one, only

- 16:37Speaker 6: fifty points before the holiday break. That's Joe Thornton sixteen
- 16:41Speaker 6: years ago and Owen Nolan twenty six years ago, So
- 16:45Speaker 6: it's getting close to the future. Is now territory here
- 16:48Speaker 6: for San Jose as they occupy last spot in the
- 16:51Speaker 6: Western Conference for the wild card slots. They have won
- 16:53Speaker 6: four of six and since beginning the year four and two,
- 16:57Speaker 6: they are seventeen eleven and one on closing out a
- 17:01Speaker 6: three game home stand this evening. Last game they lost
- 17:04Speaker 6: five to three though to Dallas, and two big reasons.
- 17:06Speaker 6: First off, slow start. Dallas got a two to nothing
- 17:09Speaker 6: lead after one period in the Sharks power play, coming
- 17:11Speaker 6: up empty zero for three on the night, as it
- 17:14Speaker 6: will be Yaroslav Askarov the net here for this evening
- 17:17Speaker 6: for San Jose career against the Kraken one and one
- 17:21Speaker 6: eight seven eight say percentage, So we'll see if the
- 17:23Speaker 6: Kraken can find holes in his game this evening. Shark
- 17:26Speaker 6: story lines first off, begin with keeping a defensive win
- 17:29Speaker 6: on maclin Celabrini. That's a tough ass because he's got
- 17:32Speaker 6: a three game multi point streak heading into this one.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Overall four game points Treek ten points in total, he
- 17:39Speaker 6: is already a handful at his young age of nineteen. Secondly,
- 17:43Speaker 6: is handling San Jose's penalty kill. The Sharks take more
- 17:46Speaker 6: penalties than most one hunter and twenty this season. That's
- 17:49Speaker 6: tenth most in the NHL with a PK though keeping
- 17:52Speaker 6: things afloat eight, best in the league since the first
- 17:55Speaker 6: of November sixty five of seventy seven in that span.
- 17:59Speaker 6: So the Kraken could potentially get looks and a challenger
- 18:02Speaker 6: to capitalize could certainly make a big difference if they
- 18:05Speaker 6: can answer that challenge. Let's sayre more from San Jose
- 18:08Speaker 6: and their head coach Ryan Worzowski, who said speed matters
- 18:12Speaker 6: for his team in a game like this.
- 18:14Speaker 4: I think our team speed.
- 18:15Speaker 12: I think when we play quick, yeah, you know, coming
- 18:18Speaker 12: out of our own end and then through the neutral
- 18:20Speaker 12: zone when we play fast. We've seen that here lately too.
- 18:23Speaker 12: We can get on teams and I think we did
- 18:24Speaker 12: a good job of that when we've played them, even
- 18:27Speaker 12: one with the second one there we lost. We had
- 18:29Speaker 12: moments in the second period where we got our transition going,
- 18:32Speaker 12: So that would be a big key tonight. And slowan down.
- 18:35Speaker 12: They're a rush team. They can get on the rush.
- 18:37Speaker 12: They can they can go, So we got to make
- 18:39Speaker 12: sure where where we get numbers.
- 18:41Speaker 6: Back Among your lineup notes, Ethan Cardwell is out veteran
- 18:44Speaker 6: Jeff Skinner is in and Timothy Lil Chagrin was hurting
- 18:47Speaker 6: morning skate today he's out. Vincent iiO will step in,
- 18:51Speaker 6: Everett and now have your three keys. After this, you're
- 18:53Speaker 6: listening to the Global Credit Union Crack and Audio Network.

- 21:00Speaker 4: Listen to the Kraken all season long.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Exclusive sports presentation of the Global Credit Union Krake in
- 21:06Speaker 2: the Audio Network.
- 21:07Speaker 6: You're home for the Seattle Kraken and the NHL.
- 21:10Speaker 1: We're back inside of the SAP Center at San Jose.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Everett fits you al Kiniski alongside Crappin Krack in Game
- 21:16Speaker 3: two of this four game road trip through the Pacific Division.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Big trade last night, the Kraken sending Mason Marshmis to
- 21:24Speaker 3: Columbus for a second round pick and a fourth round
- 21:27Speaker 3: pick in the next two drafts. Seattle nine and one
- 21:30Speaker 3: in their last eleven partner trying to get off this
- 21:33Speaker 3: Schneid a big opportunity here tonight to take down the
- 21:36Speaker 3: Sharks who currently.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Sit in that second and final wildcard spot. Tell us
- 21:41Speaker 1: what they have to do to get it done, partner well.
- 21:43Speaker 4: First of all, discipline without losing the edge. I thought
- 21:46Speaker 4: the Kraken tip took too many penalties the last couple
- 21:48Speaker 4: of games. Road games test your patience, and the Sharks
- 21:51Speaker 4: would love nothing more than a parade to the penalty box.
- 21:54Speaker 4: The Kraken need to play hard, finish checks and keep
- 21:57Speaker 4: the whistles out of it. Be mean, not messy, be ruthless,
- 22:01Speaker 4: not reckless, no free plays, no self inflicted wounds. Secondly,
- 22:05Speaker 4: lock down celebrainy Macklin. Celebriny is electric, slippery and dangerous.
- 22:10Speaker 4: If you give him time and space, the krack and
- 22:12Speaker 4: have to close fast, angle smart, and make every touch
- 22:16Speaker 4: feel like he's working through Christmas Eve, mal traffic, make
- 22:19Speaker 4: him earn every inch will turn his skill into frustration.
- 22:23Speaker 4: And then third, grease, grit and garbage goals. Santose's net
- 22:27Speaker 4: front needs to feel crowded, uncomfortable and downright rude. Puck's
- 22:31Speaker 4: body sticks, everything goes to the crease. Road winds are
- 22:34Speaker 4: built on ugly goals, and tonight is not the night
- 22:37Speaker 4: for highlight, real vanity projects. In some stay disciplined, suffocate
- 22:42Speaker 4: the shark's young star and turn the crease into a
- 22:45Speaker 4: WWE royl rumble. Take penalties and you're chasing, giving celebrating
- 22:50Speaker 4: space and your toast. But if the cracking play smart,
- 22:53Speaker 4: heavy and greasy, the shark tank turns into a splash pool,
- 22:57Speaker 4: tentacles up, elbows in, let's flip the food chain.
- 23:01Speaker 3: So for Seattle anytime, and for any team really partner,
- 23:03Speaker 3: anytime you make a trade and you ship a guy out,
- 23:06Speaker 3: regardless of their performance, regardless of what.
- 23:09Speaker 1: They did, it's going to affect the roster.
- 23:12Speaker 3: And when you lose a guy like Mason marshmat who
- 23:14Speaker 3: was in so many high level situations, your first power player,
- 23:19Speaker 3: top line most nights, how can that affect a room?
- 23:22Speaker 3: And then that next man up mentality? How much more
- 23:25Speaker 3: important does that become?
- 23:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it depends every guy's different, you know,
- 23:28Speaker 4: it depends on their relationship you had with Mason, It
- 23:30Speaker 4: depends on the impact he had on you personally, professionally
- 23:33Speaker 4: on your line. Maybe you might be missing that, but
- 23:36Speaker 4: it also presents an opportunity as you said powerplay opportunity.
- 23:40Speaker 4: He was one of the flanks on the first power
- 23:41Speaker 4: play unit, so I'm guessing Tovenen moves into that spot
- 23:45Speaker 4: leaves an open spot for that second power play unit.
- 23:47Speaker 4: I'm guessing we're gonna see Yannie Newman more on that
- 23:49Speaker 4: second power play.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I look forward to seeing that shot.
- 23:51Speaker 4: So it presents opportunities for guys to get more either
- 23:55Speaker 4: just general even strength ice time or special teams ice.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Fend based online rushes.
- 24:00Speaker 3: This morning, Kapolo Kaka will move up to the top
- 24:02Speaker 3: the left wing spot on that top line, so he
- 24:05Speaker 3: will skate tonight with Matty Beneers and Jordan every Ryan
- 24:09Speaker 3: Winterton comes back into the lineup, he'll be on the
- 24:11Speaker 3: third line on that right hand side. After the game
- 24:15Speaker 3: against Calgary two nights ago, Lane Lambert obviously frustrated a
- 24:18Speaker 3: number of players that have been frustrated as well.
- 24:20Speaker 1: For the Seattle Kraken.
- 24:21Speaker 3: They've played in six consecutive what I'll call quote unquote
- 24:24Speaker 3: one goal games.
- 24:25Speaker 1: They beat La by a four to three score in overtime.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Their other five losses have all come with empty net
- 24:33Speaker 3: goals against. So for all intents and purposes, the Kracking
- 24:37Speaker 3: are losing one goal games and they're in it to
- 24:39Speaker 3: the third period. On this current eleven game stretch, they've
- 24:42Speaker 3: been outscored twenty to five in third periods. How can
- 24:45Speaker 3: they hold onto these leads and push this thing over
- 24:48Speaker 3: the finish line.
- 24:49Speaker 4: I mean, it sounds silly, but it's score more. You've
- 24:51Speaker 4: got to find a way to lot games now, not
- 24:53Speaker 4: just by holding on to that one goal lead, by
- 24:56Speaker 4: going and getting that two goal lead, Not in the
- 24:58Speaker 4: last a couple of minutes of that third period.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Go ahead and get it in the first five of that.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Third period, because as soon as you do that, it
- 25:03Speaker 4: sends a message across the other teams they're not coming
- 25:06Speaker 4: back into this one. You get that second, when you
- 25:08Speaker 4: get that third one, you make a three to two
- 25:10Speaker 4: game into a five to two game. All of a sudden,
- 25:12Speaker 4: the other team, you know, lowers the tenths and they
- 25:14Speaker 4: get ready for heading out of town. So you've got
- 25:17Speaker 4: to get that next lead on the goal and make
- 25:19Speaker 4: a one goal game into a two or a three
- 25:20Speaker 4: goal game.
- 25:21Speaker 1: You know who has the cracking audio network locked down?
- 25:25Speaker 1: Mike Benton.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Mike Benton, he is getting ready to parachute, and literally
- 25:29Speaker 3: I hear the plane.

- 28:13Speaker 3: Thanks Mike Lane after that for two loss in Calgary
- 28:16Speaker 3: today to go saying that you weren't too happy with
- 28:19Speaker 3: the performance, Just take us back through that game and
- 28:21Speaker 3: were you thought the differences were between the loss against
- 28:24Speaker 3: Colorado at home and then against Calgary two days later.
- 28:27Speaker 18: I thought we played much faster and much more direct
- 28:30Speaker 18: against Colorado than we did against Calgary. You know, we
- 28:36Speaker 18: were too slow to move pucks at times. Student for
- 28:38Speaker 18: his own I didn't establish the same for check pressure
- 28:42Speaker 18: that we had against Colorado. So you know, it's getting
- 28:48Speaker 18: back to a consistent mindset that we have to attack him,
- 28:52Speaker 18: be on our toes and force teams into you know,
- 28:55Speaker 18: making mistakes, which we did against Colorado.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Is there something you can point to, particularly about the
- 29:00Speaker 3: the style of both opponents that caused the Kraken to
- 29:03Speaker 3: play a little differently between Colorado and Calgary.
- 29:05Speaker 18: No, I don't think so. I think it was just
- 29:08Speaker 18: more on us than anything. You know, we have to
- 29:12Speaker 18: be prepared to do the same things over and over
- 29:15Speaker 18: again on a consistent basis, and that's where we're you know,
- 29:19Speaker 18: having trouble right now. And that's what happens when you
- 29:23Speaker 18: get into a situation where you haven't won many games.
- 29:25Speaker 18: Is there's a reason for it. Inconsistency is one of them.
