  really fascinating. One of my favorite actors in the

  whole wide world, as well as my wife, Alan Richman, who plays

  Reacher. It turns out that he's a
• 0:57
  Christian and he's been standing up for Christianity for a very
• 1:02
  long time. He went on the Bill Maher show
• 1:06
  and Bill Maher tried to embarrass him.

  Bill Maher is the type of person doesn't have any kind of honor
• 1:13
  or loyalty whatsoever. He's a a kind of a snobby guy,
• 1:18
  know it all, your typical atheist who thinks he's a bad
• 1:22
  ass and usually turns out to also be gay.

  He tried to embarrass Mr. Allen, but it didn't work out.
• 1:32
  And Alan Simpson has had an absolutely successful show.

  However, it's not without its struggles or challenges.
• 1:40
  As many know, Hollywood is godless.
• 1:43
  It's filled with disgusting behavior and perverts and filth
• 1:46
  buckets. So he's had a very difficult
• 1:49
  time. There were guys like him before,
• 1:53
  not with the same build like Tim Allen, Kevin Sorbo who played
• 1:58
  Hercules and was famous for many many years and created many
• 2:02
  seasons with Xena Warrior Princess and eventually went on
• 2:06
  to push through Bruce Campbell's material and Evil Dead.
• 2:11
  Also the Hercules and Xena Warrior Princess series.
• 2:14
  And then later on, they ended up doing a remake of Evil Dead, a
• 2:19
  television type of series. The whole show was pretty good,
• 2:24
  except for the Mexican actor that they had.
• 2:26
  That was extremely annoying and it was basically an unnecessary
• 2:32
  evil in the entire show. Basically a boring character
• 2:37
  that wasted film and time for everybody.
• 2:42
  We won't get into that anymore, but it was really cool.
• 2:45
  There's been people out there that state are are challenge
• 2:50
  Alan by saying how can you be a Christian and believe in God and
• 2:54
  then play a character like Reacher.
• 2:56
  I suppose they're suggesting because Reacher is this like
• 3:01
  military guy who ended up basically deciding at some point
• 3:07
  in time that he would get on the road and just travel from state
• 3:11
  to state and enjoy the country for what it is and continues to
• 3:15
  find himself in trouble, whether it's terrorists or bomb makers
• 3:19
  or, you know, just bad people in general.
• 3:23
  You know that formula kind of like Jason Statham finds himself
• 3:27
  in where he's just trying to mind his own business people
• 3:30
  fuck with him. Or he sees somebody picking on
• 3:33
  someone vulnerable and then beats the everliving hell out of
• 3:37
  them. So they think, well, that's not
• 3:41
  very Christian. Although the Bible teaches us to
• 3:45
  love our neighbor and to do on to others as we went down unto
• 3:50
  ourselves, we're not commanded to sit back if some child has
• 3:55
  been kidnapped while a mother is being abused and not do
• 4:01
  something about it if we see a bank being robbed.
• 4:05
  There isn't anywhere in the Bible where it says that we
• 4:08
  should just stand back and allow people to rob people and harm
• 4:12
  people and shoot people and all this.
• 4:15
  In fact, one of the favorited things that atheists like to
• 4:19
  talk about is how violent Christians were in the past
• 4:23
  whenever their lands were taken over by Muslims and they fought
• 4:27
  back and ended up winning. I'd say 98% of the time during
• 4:34
  the Crusades and Inquisitions they battled it out with the
• 4:37
  pagans. And we all know what happened
• 4:40
  with the pagans. They had their asses wept.
• 4:43
  So Christians have never been a a weak lot.
• 4:46
  Christians have never been cowardly, takes a lot of
• 4:51
  strength and a lot of love and a lot of endurance to be someone
• 4:56
  like Jesus Christ who walked the earth and went through the hell
• 4:59
  that he went through, tortured in the end crucified and of
• 5:02
  course resurrected 3 days later. And even after he was tortured
• 5:07
  and killed he said forgive them Father for they know not what
• 5:12
  they do. This was a God that was not only
• 5:15
  powerful and strong, but also had the compassion and love
• 5:19
  along with it. I don't know where people get
• 5:22
  this idea. At some point in time in the
• 5:26
  last 100 years. That's the big thing.

  A lot of atheists want to manipulate and abuse Christians
• 5:33
  and then when Christians fight back where they they say, no,
• 5:37
  I'm not going to allow myself to be manipulated or pushed or or
• 5:43
  treated like a rag doll. The atheist goes and cries in a
• 5:47
  corner in a fetal position going, I don't understand it.
• 5:51
  Why did this happen? For now, there's nowhere in any
• 5:55
  of the television show of Reacher where Reacher hurts
• 5:58
  anyone innocent. He intentionally will try to
• 6:05
  talk things out with every one of his opponents.
• 6:08
  He tells him he you don't want this, you don't want to fight
• 6:12
  me. Or he'll just stand there and
• 6:14
  stare and not say a word. And then it's up to his opponent
• 6:18
  or whoever is the agitator to come at him.
• 6:21
  Reacher doesn't just walk into places and just start beating
• 6:24
  the hell out of people unless they've done some kind of
• 6:27
  criminal behavior. And it's always been like that.
• 6:32
  And Reacher has a deep respect for the police as well as the
• 6:37
  military and all this. Now, some things have spun a
• 6:41
  curve in some of these shows. And then the movie Reacher,
• 6:45
  played by Tom Cruise, things got a little iffy, for sure.
• 6:50
  But, yeah, I think that if you're a Christian, you can play
• 6:55
  something that's different. It's not like, well, the human
• 6:59
  race, I mean, I'll be fair. A lot of humans are stupid, but
• 7:04
  we know when we're watching like WWE wrestling or ATV show or
• 7:08
  movie, we're all smart enough to realize this is a person that's
• 7:13
  getting paid to act. And when Reacher's not playing
• 7:17
  this awesome character, Alan, he's not playing Reacher.
• 7:21
  He's out doing charity and he's trying to help people.
• 7:24
  And he's a real person in real life, unlike a lot of actors and
• 7:28
  actresses. He's a very, very courageous man
• 7:34
  in the sense that he talks about himself and he shares his
• 7:38
  vulnerabilities and his flaws. Like, for instance, he suffers
• 7:42
  from bipolar manic depression. I didn't know that.
• 7:47
  I've been watching Reacher and I watch movies with Alan, and I
• 7:51
  did not know that until recently watching some interviews.
• 7:55
  And it made me love him even more.
• 7:57
  And my wife totally respects him as well.

  I myself, I have depression issues, severe depression.
• 8:04
  And I know what it's like to try to struggle and go through
• 8:07
  things and have people try to keep you down and try to hurt
• 8:11
  you, even though you're absolutely qualified to do great
• 8:14
  things. And many great leaders of the
• 8:17
  past had severe depression. It's inspiring to watch somebody
• 8:25
  who went through all the struggles and managed, managed
• 8:28
  to not only keep themselves physically fit, but emotionally
• 8:32
  and and stabilize himself. And according to his reasoning
• 8:36
  behind it all, for his family and all those that he loves,
• 8:40
  he's had some pretty dark experiences in his life.
• 8:45
  And he says that those dark experiences left him to the
• 8:51
  conclusion that there is a God. And he's very, very strong in
• 8:55
  his belief about that. And I believe that too.
• 8:59
  I believe that when they're, I read the comments behind this
• 9:03
  video, as well as many others and their soldiers and veterans
• 9:07
  who are leaving comments stating, you know, I know what
• 9:10
  he's talking about. I know what it's like to be
• 9:12
  alone out in the the jungle or in the middle of a war zone and
• 9:18
  not know if you're going to be able to return to see your wife
• 9:21
  and your parents and your kids. And, and the only thing you have
• 9:26
  to depend on at this point is God.
• 9:29
  Is he going to be able to be the beacon, the guiding light to get
• 9:32
  you through? These are all inspirational
• 9:35
  stories, and unfortunately, they don't all end in happy endings.
• 9:40
  Sometimes God has other plans. Sometimes other things happen
• 9:44
  that just are the will of God. They just, you know, you'll find
• 9:51
  yourself where sometimes bad things will happen.
• 9:55
  But as Alan points out, sometimes when something bad
• 10:00
  happens, it makes us stronger as people.
• 10:04
  Even if someone dies, it makes us realize what it is that we
• 10:09
  have. We take so much for granted,
• 10:14
  especially whenever it comes to our parents and our siblings and
• 10:17
  our family members, that sometimes we forget how
• 10:21
  important they are and we just get into a routine.
• 10:24
  I remember I was watching the show Sheldon, and this father
• 10:28
  was trying to do the best he could to take care of his
• 10:31
  children and his wife and all that.
• 10:33
  But there were too many days it went by where he would say
• 10:36
  goodbye, honey, goodbye, kids. And they just go, yeah, OK,
• 10:42
  yeah. You know, just like it was
• 10:43
  another day. And one day the father didn't
• 10:46
  come home and because he had a heart attack and he died.
• 10:51
  And those kids would spend the next, the rest of their life
• 10:54
  wishing that they would have taken the time to say, I love
• 10:57
  you, dad, give him a hug, all that.

  And I think that there's a deep, a deep, very powerful message
• 11:07
  there that we shouldn't take people for granted, that we
• 11:10
  should value life. If you're an unbeliever, then
• 11:14
  you have no value on life. You don't have any point.
• 11:17
  I mean, you can squeal all day about, oh, I care about people.
• 11:22
  I, I know what the difference between right and wrong is based
• 11:26
  upon what society, humanity, humanity usually chooses the
• 11:31
  wrong choices every time. So if you're learning your
• 11:34
  morality from humanity or the government or what culture says,
• 11:40
  then your morality changes just as the wind blows.
• 11:44
  Because that's the way society is.
• 11:46
  That's the way humans are. Humans are always pushing the
• 11:49
  line and pushing as far as they can possibly go to see how much
• 11:53
  evil they can get away with in order to accomplish whatever
• 11:58
  means. But yeah, great video.

  important Jesus was to him or is.

  And there's a lot of actors I like to look at are acts like

  Dean, Dean Cain, who played one of the versions of Superman back

  in the day, Lewis and Clark. I also like to look at Tim
• 12:31
  Allen, who was on Home Improvement and also played in a
• 12:34
  bunch of Toy Story movies and Santa Claus and so on,
• 12:40
  ironically, and Kevin Sorbo, who played a Pagan God, although he
• 12:47
  was a hardcore Christian. So it is what it is.

  Just because the Bible says that you can't have any other gods
• 12:55
  before him doesn't mean that you can't play a character that's
• 12:59
  actually trying to help people and do things.

  Kevin Sorbo never implied or suggested in any way that the
• 13:06
  role that he was playing was an actual character or historical
• 13:10
  figure such as Hercules. Beautiful show though.

  I watched them all. I finished it from season 1 all
• 13:18
  the way to the end of the finale.
