- 0:01Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Brett Keene from GOD TV
- 0:05Radio. I hope you're all having a
- 0:07wonderful day. When you get an opportunity, you
- 0:09can check out my new music album that has dropped.
- 0:12Go to the front page of my YouTube channel and you'll see a
- 0:16long playlist of over 20 songs that you can listen to for
- 0:20absolutely free. And if you'd like to support me,
- 0:22you can buy the album off of over 100 different outlets
- 0:27having to do with music. As you also know, I run a radio
- 0:32station where you can watch me listen to me videos, all that
- 0:38exclusive content on Spotify, Amazon Music, and also hundreds
- 0:43of other outlets. Today I found out something
- 0:46really fascinating. One of my favorite actors in the
- 0:49whole wide world, as well as my wife, Alan Richman, who plays
- 0:55Reacher. It turns out that he's a
- 0:57Christian and he's been standing up for Christianity for a very
- 1:02long time. He went on the Bill Maher show
- 1:06and Bill Maher tried to embarrass him.
- 1:09Bill Maher is the type of person doesn't have any kind of honor
- 1:13or loyalty whatsoever. He's a a kind of a snobby guy,
- 1:18know it all, your typical atheist who thinks he's a bad
- 1:22ass and usually turns out to also be gay.
- 1:26He tried to embarrass Mr. Allen, but it didn't work out.
- 1:32And Alan Simpson has had an absolutely successful show.
- 1:36However, it's not without its struggles or challenges.
- 1:40As many know, Hollywood is godless.
- 1:43It's filled with disgusting behavior and perverts and filth
- 1:46buckets. So he's had a very difficult
- 1:49time. There were guys like him before,
- 1:53not with the same build like Tim Allen, Kevin Sorbo who played
- 1:58Hercules and was famous for many many years and created many
- 2:02seasons with Xena Warrior Princess and eventually went on
- 2:06to push through Bruce Campbell's material and Evil Dead.
- 2:11Also the Hercules and Xena Warrior Princess series.
- 2:14And then later on, they ended up doing a remake of Evil Dead, a
- 2:19television type of series. The whole show was pretty good,
- 2:24except for the Mexican actor that they had.
- 2:26That was extremely annoying and it was basically an unnecessary
- 2:32evil in the entire show. Basically a boring character
- 2:37that wasted film and time for everybody.
- 2:42We won't get into that anymore, but it was really cool.
- 2:45There's been people out there that state are are challenge
- 2:50Alan by saying how can you be a Christian and believe in God and
- 2:54then play a character like Reacher.
- 2:56I suppose they're suggesting because Reacher is this like
- 3:01military guy who ended up basically deciding at some point
- 3:07in time that he would get on the road and just travel from state
- 3:11to state and enjoy the country for what it is and continues to
- 3:15find himself in trouble, whether it's terrorists or bomb makers
- 3:19or, you know, just bad people in general.
- 3:23You know that formula kind of like Jason Statham finds himself
- 3:27in where he's just trying to mind his own business people
- 3:30fuck with him. Or he sees somebody picking on
- 3:33someone vulnerable and then beats the everliving hell out of
- 3:37them. So they think, well, that's not
- 3:41very Christian. Although the Bible teaches us to
- 3:45love our neighbor and to do on to others as we went down unto
- 3:50ourselves, we're not commanded to sit back if some child has
- 3:55been kidnapped while a mother is being abused and not do
- 4:01something about it if we see a bank being robbed.
- 4:05There isn't anywhere in the Bible where it says that we
- 4:08should just stand back and allow people to rob people and harm
- 4:12people and shoot people and all this.
- 4:15In fact, one of the favorited things that atheists like to
- 4:19talk about is how violent Christians were in the past
- 4:23whenever their lands were taken over by Muslims and they fought
- 4:27back and ended up winning. I'd say 98% of the time during
- 4:34the Crusades and Inquisitions they battled it out with the
- 4:37pagans. And we all know what happened
- 4:40with the pagans. They had their asses wept.
- 4:43So Christians have never been a a weak lot.
- 4:46Christians have never been cowardly, takes a lot of
- 4:51strength and a lot of love and a lot of endurance to be someone
- 4:56like Jesus Christ who walked the earth and went through the hell
- 4:59that he went through, tortured in the end crucified and of
- 5:02course resurrected 3 days later. And even after he was tortured
- 5:07and killed he said forgive them Father for they know not what
- 5:12they do. This was a God that was not only
- 5:15powerful and strong, but also had the compassion and love
- 5:19along with it. I don't know where people get
- 5:22this idea. At some point in time in the
- 5:26last 100 years. That's the big thing.
- 5:29A lot of atheists want to manipulate and abuse Christians
- 5:33and then when Christians fight back where they they say, no,
- 5:37I'm not going to allow myself to be manipulated or pushed or or
- 5:43treated like a rag doll. The atheist goes and cries in a
- 5:47corner in a fetal position going, I don't understand it.
- 5:51Why did this happen? For now, there's nowhere in any
- 5:55of the television show of Reacher where Reacher hurts
- 5:58anyone innocent. He intentionally will try to
- 6:05talk things out with every one of his opponents.
- 6:08He tells him he you don't want this, you don't want to fight
- 6:12me. Or he'll just stand there and
- 6:14stare and not say a word. And then it's up to his opponent
- 6:18or whoever is the agitator to come at him.
- 6:21Reacher doesn't just walk into places and just start beating
- 6:24the hell out of people unless they've done some kind of
- 6:27criminal behavior. And it's always been like that.
- 6:32And Reacher has a deep respect for the police as well as the
- 6:37military and all this. Now, some things have spun a
- 6:41curve in some of these shows. And then the movie Reacher,
- 6:45played by Tom Cruise, things got a little iffy, for sure.
- 6:50But, yeah, I think that if you're a Christian, you can play
- 6:55something that's different. It's not like, well, the human
- 6:59race, I mean, I'll be fair. A lot of humans are stupid, but
- 7:04we know when we're watching like WWE wrestling or ATV show or
- 7:08movie, we're all smart enough to realize this is a person that's
- 7:13getting paid to act. And when Reacher's not playing
- 7:17this awesome character, Alan, he's not playing Reacher.
- 7:21He's out doing charity and he's trying to help people.
- 7:24And he's a real person in real life, unlike a lot of actors and
- 7:28actresses. He's a very, very courageous man
- 7:34in the sense that he talks about himself and he shares his
- 7:38vulnerabilities and his flaws. Like, for instance, he suffers
- 7:42from bipolar manic depression. I didn't know that.
- 7:47I've been watching Reacher and I watch movies with Alan, and I
- 7:51did not know that until recently watching some interviews.
- 7:55And it made me love him even more.
- 7:57And my wife totally respects him as well.
- 8:00I myself, I have depression issues, severe depression.
- 8:04And I know what it's like to try to struggle and go through
- 8:07things and have people try to keep you down and try to hurt
- 8:11you, even though you're absolutely qualified to do great
- 8:14things. And many great leaders of the
- 8:17past had severe depression. It's inspiring to watch somebody
- 8:25who went through all the struggles and managed, managed
- 8:28to not only keep themselves physically fit, but emotionally
- 8:32and and stabilize himself. And according to his reasoning
- 8:36behind it all, for his family and all those that he loves,
- 8:40he's had some pretty dark experiences in his life.
- 8:45And he says that those dark experiences left him to the
- 8:51conclusion that there is a God. And he's very, very strong in
- 8:55his belief about that. And I believe that too.
- 8:59I believe that when they're, I read the comments behind this
- 9:03video, as well as many others and their soldiers and veterans
- 9:07who are leaving comments stating, you know, I know what
- 9:10he's talking about. I know what it's like to be
- 9:12alone out in the the jungle or in the middle of a war zone and
- 9:18not know if you're going to be able to return to see your wife
- 9:21and your parents and your kids. And, and the only thing you have
- 9:26to depend on at this point is God.
- 9:29Is he going to be able to be the beacon, the guiding light to get
- 9:32you through? These are all inspirational
- 9:35stories, and unfortunately, they don't all end in happy endings.
- 9:40Sometimes God has other plans. Sometimes other things happen
- 9:44that just are the will of God. They just, you know, you'll find
- 9:51yourself where sometimes bad things will happen.
- 9:55But as Alan points out, sometimes when something bad
- 10:00happens, it makes us stronger as people.
- 10:04Even if someone dies, it makes us realize what it is that we
- 10:09have. We take so much for granted,
- 10:14especially whenever it comes to our parents and our siblings and
- 10:17our family members, that sometimes we forget how
- 10:21important they are and we just get into a routine.
- 10:24I remember I was watching the show Sheldon, and this father
- 10:28was trying to do the best he could to take care of his
- 10:31children and his wife and all that.
- 10:33But there were too many days it went by where he would say
- 10:36goodbye, honey, goodbye, kids. And they just go, yeah, OK,
- 10:42yeah. You know, just like it was
- 10:43another day. And one day the father didn't
- 10:46come home and because he had a heart attack and he died.
- 10:51And those kids would spend the next, the rest of their life
- 10:54wishing that they would have taken the time to say, I love
- 10:57you, dad, give him a hug, all that.
- 11:01And I think that there's a deep, a deep, very powerful message
- 11:07there that we shouldn't take people for granted, that we
- 11:10should value life. If you're an unbeliever, then
- 11:14you have no value on life. You don't have any point.
- 11:17I mean, you can squeal all day about, oh, I care about people.
- 11:22I, I know what the difference between right and wrong is based
- 11:26upon what society, humanity, humanity usually chooses the
- 11:31wrong choices every time. So if you're learning your
- 11:34morality from humanity or the government or what culture says,
- 11:40then your morality changes just as the wind blows.
- 11:44Because that's the way society is.
- 11:46That's the way humans are. Humans are always pushing the
- 11:49line and pushing as far as they can possibly go to see how much
- 11:53evil they can get away with in order to accomplish whatever
- 11:58means. But yeah, great video.
- 12:03I'll put a link in the description for people to check
- 12:05out. It's a 30 minute video where you
- 12:08see Alan on many, many different shows talking about how
- 12:12important Jesus was to him or is.
- 12:16And there's a lot of actors I like to look at are acts like
- 12:20Dean, Dean Cain, who played one of the versions of Superman back
- 12:26in the day, Lewis and Clark. I also like to look at Tim
- 12:31Allen, who was on Home Improvement and also played in a
- 12:34bunch of Toy Story movies and Santa Claus and so on,
- 12:40ironically, and Kevin Sorbo, who played a Pagan God, although he
- 12:47was a hardcore Christian. So it is what it is.
- 12:52Just because the Bible says that you can't have any other gods
- 12:55before him doesn't mean that you can't play a character that's
- 12:59actually trying to help people and do things.
- 13:02Kevin Sorbo never implied or suggested in any way that the
- 13:06role that he was playing was an actual character or historical
- 13:10figure such as Hercules. Beautiful show though.
- 13:15I watched them all. I finished it from season 1 all
- 13:18the way to the end of the finale.
- 13:21All right, ladies and gentlemen, have a good one.
- 13:23God bless.
