- 1:29Speaker 1: the Bank plus Studio, ESPN one oh five nine The Zone.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I picked Spain to win the World Cup check and
- 1:37Speaker 1: uh lucked out there. My pick was totally on my
- 1:42Speaker 1: favorite wine in the world. We've got Lane Kiffin's sec
- 1:46Speaker 1: Media Days and I had no idea that Lane was
- 1:48Speaker 1: before or Levy's after Lane is a better way to
- 1:52Speaker 1: put it. But I think Jackson told me on Thursday,
- 1:56Speaker 1: it goes Lane and then Levy and then Sark, so
- 2:01Speaker 1: two of the biggest names in college football, and Levy
- 2:05Speaker 1: will be kind of sandwiched in between. According to Jackson,
- 2:10Speaker 1: it's ketchup stained Levy, which our listener's got to kick
- 2:15Speaker 1: out of. And so this will be Levy's third Wow, yeah,
- 2:23Speaker 1: third sec media days. I went to his first, right, yeah. Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 1: We went to Dallas and did two shows right from
- 2:33Speaker 1: the back. War Stick, Yes, yes, yes, yes, Worstick That's
- 2:38Speaker 1: what it was. God bless that girl who works at
- 2:41Speaker 1: Worlds Lady who who works at Warstick. They don't get it.
- 2:46Speaker 1: They don't open that early. Okay, they're in the retail,
- 2:48Speaker 1: you know they I think they opened it like ten.
- 2:52Speaker 1: And you know, as much as we're you and I
- 2:56Speaker 1: are high fiving when you get here on time. Yeah,
- 2:59Speaker 1: it was. It kind of hit her like a ton
- 3:02Speaker 1: of bricks to me. I did two shows. I may
- 3:04Speaker 1: have been I think I just did two, not three.
- 3:06Speaker 1: But anyway, the second day, the first day she got
- 3:12Speaker 1: there but it was rough, and the second day I
- 3:16Speaker 1: think she was maybe a little later got there right when,
- 3:19Speaker 1: but it was cool. I got to do the show
- 3:21Speaker 1: in Dallas two years ago from the Batting Cage. So
- 3:25Speaker 1: the way Warstick is laid out the first floor is
- 3:31Speaker 1: you know, you walk in and it's a merch shop,
- 3:35Speaker 1: but they've got all their bats and paddle boards and
- 3:40Speaker 1: pickleball stuff displayed, and they had some cool merch but
- 3:46Speaker 1: and then they then you walk through this room and
- 3:50Speaker 1: it's kind of a bar area that leads into the
- 3:54Speaker 1: batting cage in Dallas for Warstick, which is like a
- 3:58Speaker 1: a not your typical batting I mean, there's nice ones
- 4:02Speaker 1: here too, but this is like really souped up, just
- 4:06Speaker 1: kind of the way it's laid out. Then you go
- 4:08Speaker 1: down the stairs and it's a speakeasy because is it
- 4:12Speaker 1: Jack White, the musician guitarist that's that's partnered with the
- 4:16Speaker 1: Mississippi State alum who owns Warstick, Ben Whatever's name is.
- 4:20Speaker 1: So that it's a it's a cool layout the way
- 4:24Speaker 1: it all. And it's right in the middle of downtown Dallas.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I mean it's right by the famous Terry Blacks or whatever.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I mean. I say it's right by I think it's
- 4:34Speaker 1: pretty close. I don't I don't necessarily know my I
- 4:37Speaker 1: know how to get in an uber and get somewhere
- 4:40Speaker 1: in Dallas, Arlington, fort Worth. But that was fun. We
- 4:44Speaker 1: did that. That was powered by Pearl River Resort and Patron. Yeah,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and now we're powered by Espalone tequila, so which is
- 4:53Speaker 1: absolutely delicious. But that that was a good time. That
- 4:56Speaker 1: was Levy's first media days. Right should have known then,
- 5:01Speaker 1: and Kiffen was rolling, but he was about to roll
- 5:04Speaker 1: more than we even thought. He kind of go back
- 5:08Speaker 1: to two years ago Dallas, Texas. We were welcoming Oklahoma
- 5:12Speaker 1: and Texas into the league. That's why they dropped it there.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It was a big deal. They did all that that
- 5:17Speaker 1: stuff there in whatever hotel we were in Okay, and
- 5:23Speaker 1: it was a pretty hotel. I didn't stay there, I
- 5:25Speaker 1: stayed near it, but it was a pretty cool space.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I mean, one hundred million times better than the Winfrey
- 5:33Speaker 1: in Birmingham, not that there was anything wrong with that.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Starting twenty years ago, guys, I gotta tell you all this.
- 5:40Speaker 1: We are the Out of Bounds Show. I'm your host,
- 5:42Speaker 1: Bo Bounds, Tom Lougan Bill at eight thirty that's Jackson
- 5:45Speaker 1: Meadows Day Bar two will join us tomorrow and Wednesday
- 5:48Speaker 1: live on the show. He's flying in right now. When
- 5:52Speaker 1: we started SEC Media days, and I don't remember the
- 5:55Speaker 1: first year I went, it was either four or five
- 5:57Speaker 1: over in Winfrey. We were plugging our remote equipment into
- 6:02Speaker 1: facts outlets. That's how people did the thing on on
- 6:10Speaker 1: radio road. And it was this was before Finebaum had
- 6:15Speaker 1: his own setup, so he was set up right beside us,
- 6:18Speaker 1: so he was just set up just like everybody else.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You just had your basically a card table or two,
- 6:25Speaker 1: and guys would come up and down this long corridor
- 6:29Speaker 1: at the Winfrey, including as I've mentioned many of times,
- 6:32Speaker 1: Tommy Tuberville would do every and Spurrier when he was
- 6:35Speaker 1: at South Carolina. Tuberville would do whatever radio. You know,
- 6:39Speaker 1: it doesn't surprise any of you that he's a US
- 6:41Speaker 1: center or me, but he was gracious, he enjoyed it.
- 6:48Speaker 1: He visited with you. Spurrier was too. There wasn't a
- 6:53Speaker 1: lot of there wasn't as much star power. Urban would
- 6:57Speaker 1: eventually land at Florida, but it was right before t Bow,
- 7:04Speaker 1: in my opinion, took the league to another level, which
- 7:08Speaker 1: actually coincided with another TV deal and so on. I mean,
- 7:13Speaker 1: we were already on CBS, as y'all know, but just
- 7:17Speaker 1: more and more access and thinking. You could just kind
- 7:19Speaker 1: of feel the build in five six and Saban was
- 7:26Speaker 1: there but left, as y'all know, for on his hiatus
- 7:29Speaker 1: to Miami. So I guess my first year he was
- 7:34Speaker 1: there at LSU, so I don't know if that was
- 7:37Speaker 1: four or five somewhere in there. Then he leaves for
- 7:39Speaker 1: a couple of years, then he comes back. I do
- 7:42Speaker 1: remember the year that his first year back, and that
- 7:46Speaker 1: was in You would have thought the Beatles were coming
- 7:49Speaker 1: to the Winfrey Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama, just like it
- 7:56Speaker 1: was the electricity that with Tebow. Not every conference, this
- 8:03Speaker 1: conference gets rebooted with stars, and it got rebooted kind
- 8:08Speaker 1: of at the same time. Tibo had already started playing
- 8:13Speaker 1: for Florida. But with Saban coming back and Tebow, you
- 8:17Speaker 1: got all the lighter fluid that you needed to take
- 8:21Speaker 1: the conference to another level. And Saban had already put
- 8:24Speaker 1: his model in at LSU and we all talked about
- 8:26Speaker 1: it at lunch and happy hour and by the grill
- 8:29Speaker 1: in our neighborhoods Da Da Da da da Modern day
- 8:32Speaker 1: weight strength and conditioning, modern day recruiting da da Da
- 8:35Speaker 1: da da. But that's what I remember from my first
- 8:38Speaker 1: couple of media days. That's where I met a bunch
- 8:41Speaker 1: of people in the business and it was fun. It
- 8:45Speaker 1: burned off quick, but it was fun. There was no
- 8:48Speaker 1: SEC network. There was really no Twitter for a while
- 8:51Speaker 1: for those first few years. So it's this morning and
- 8:54Speaker 1: all week. You're gonna have people that just sit there
- 8:56Speaker 1: all week who are still kind of dot com writers.
- 8:59Speaker 1: They're just gonna to tweet out everything that the guys say.
- 9:02Speaker 1: That was even before that, in four, five, six oh seven,
- 9:07Speaker 1: you had to pay attention to what they said. That
- 9:09Speaker 1: you actually had to pay attention, and people were still
- 9:12Speaker 1: reading newspapers a little bit, especially over you know, fifty
- 9:15Speaker 1: to fifty five crowd at that point twenty years ago.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I remember being right there on the elevator with Manziel
- 9:23Speaker 1: and someone when Manzell was coming off the whole scandal,
- 9:26Speaker 1: and that was just timing. I was coming out of
- 9:28Speaker 1: my hotel room in the Winfrey. That's when I figured
- 9:31Speaker 1: out you could just move your show to the hotel
- 9:33Speaker 1: room instead of having to do it on radio road.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I got to tell you a booger McFarland's story at
- 9:38Speaker 1: how I met him twenty years ago, Tom lougan Bill
- 9:43Speaker 1: at eight thirty And that's where I met Louganville too,
- 9:46Speaker 1: at the cool steakhouse across from the Winfree but I
- 9:48Speaker 1: can't remember the name of it. Back in a second,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you need.
- 10:20Speaker 4: I was just doing a little exercise, just wasting time
- 10:23Speaker 4: as I normally do, thinking weird stuff.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Good morning to you. What's up? What's up? Out of bounds?
- 10:28Speaker 1: One oh five nine The Zone, ESPN. Did anybody get
- 10:32Speaker 1: into the golf Twitter war over the weekend? Uh Rory
- 10:36Speaker 1: Michael Roy against uh Byron d Chambeau. Did that move
- 10:45Speaker 1: the needle for you at all? I can tell you
- 10:47Speaker 1: want to talk? Okay? I did? Jackson's like, move on,
- 10:50Speaker 1: We'll go into football. This is ESPN one oh five nine,
- 10:53Speaker 1: The Zone, Lane Kiff and SEC Media Days uh starts
- 10:58Speaker 1: this morning. We're going to find out if we'll. Don
- 11:00Speaker 1: is a real person, and according to the press release,
- 11:05Speaker 1: he's the new head football coach for the University of Kentucky.
- 11:08Speaker 1: And you know I give that. I'm giving him a
- 11:11Speaker 1: hard time, but it's the best road trip in the SEC.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It is bourbon and horses along with the fall weekend.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I've said it for the last however long thirteen fourteen
- 11:23Speaker 1: years ago. You know we've been up there a few
- 11:27Speaker 1: times and well several times. It's great. There's nothing like
- 11:32Speaker 1: being there. And you know I say it all the time.
- 11:34Speaker 1: If Keenland is open in October April, I think there's
- 11:37Speaker 1: another weekend or two, say bleed somewhere before or after.
- 11:43Speaker 1: But if you're up there and Keenland is open, like
- 11:47Speaker 1: your wife would love it too. I mean, Keenland's Kentucky
- 11:51Speaker 1: is a well, it could be the best culinary town
- 11:53Speaker 1: in the SEC. But actually it's got to give. It's
- 11:57Speaker 1: got to be tied for number one. But if Keenland
- 12:02Speaker 1: is open in the fall, when you go and you're
- 12:05Speaker 1: going to do a little bourbon tour, hit a distillery,
- 12:08Speaker 1: it's amazing. The food in Lexington's great. And if you
- 12:12Speaker 1: catch a basketball scrimmage. I actually went to one. I
- 12:15Speaker 1: know y'all can't believe it. I didn't stay the whole time,
- 12:18Speaker 1: but they thought we needed to go on that Friday night,
- 12:20Speaker 1: so we did. They actually charged and it was packed.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I think it was twenty bucks. I think so twenty
- 12:28Speaker 1: dollars for a blue and white scrimmage in October or
- 12:32Speaker 1: something that's that's Kentucky basketball. But anyway, it's worth spending
- 12:37Speaker 1: the night. It's or two or three. It's a fun time,
- 12:42Speaker 1: absolutely beautiful part of the country. The people are nice
- 12:46Speaker 1: and it's my favorite. Yeah. I mean, bourbon and horses.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You can't beat it. I did not realize Keenland was
- 12:55Speaker 1: as cool as it was until the bourbon guys took me.
- 12:59Speaker 1: They actually tailgate on Friday, uh when when they're the
- 13:04Speaker 1: when the horses are racing, and they do it up.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I mean there's attractive people and they're having they they've
- 13:14Speaker 1: got a cool spread outside the little Keenland Stadium. It's
- 13:18Speaker 1: gorgeous too. Driving in, it's absolutely beautiful and it's super
- 13:22Speaker 1: inexpensive to go. A regular ticket at Keenland was ten
- 13:28Speaker 1: bucks and to get the premium was twenty. I'd go
- 13:31Speaker 1: ahead and get the premium. And I've told you this
- 13:34Speaker 1: they had they have you know, they have bourbon bars
- 13:39Speaker 1: and and and bourbon uh bread pudding bars. Yeah, because
- 13:48Speaker 1: Greg Byrne texted me the first time I went ever,
- 13:50Speaker 1: when I was going back and forth with him because
- 13:54Speaker 1: we mentioned earlier that Mitch Barnhardt made his last big
- 13:57Speaker 1: hire and we believed Will Stein as the head coach
- 14:00Speaker 1: of Kentucky. Will Greg Burn, Scott Strickland and John Cohen,
- 14:04Speaker 1: as y'all know, all worked under Mitch Barnhart and they're
- 14:07Speaker 1: all thick as thieves, and so until Mitch stepped down,
- 14:13Speaker 1: I guess this summer all four of them were sec
- 14:16Speaker 1: ads at the same time, Kentucky, Bama, Auburn and Florida.
- 14:21Speaker 1: But my point in all that was Burn was like,
- 14:23Speaker 1: you've got to get the bread pudding when you go
- 14:25Speaker 1: to Keenland, so if you get to go, it's fun.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I didn't rise horse racing was like that fun. It's
- 14:32Speaker 1: super fun. And I've said this before too. It's manicured
- 14:36Speaker 1: like Augusta National Churchhill Downs is in the middle of
- 14:41Speaker 1: the city. It's all concrete. Keenland is gorgeous, the grounds
- 14:47Speaker 1: and everything. There's not a It's like when you go
- 14:51Speaker 1: to August there's not a blade of grass out of place.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It's perfect, and you can go all the way down
- 14:58Speaker 1: to the horses. You can go up in the club level.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It's cool and if you know anybody, if you're connected
- 15:05Speaker 1: it all up there, then you'll end up in a
- 15:08Speaker 1: box or club or whatever. They've got up there, so
- 15:10Speaker 1: it's pretty cool. That's my take on your next road
- 15:15Speaker 1: trip in the Bourbon and Horse Country, brought to you
- 15:18Speaker 1: by the Kentucky Wildcats. And you got to go to
- 15:21Speaker 1: Tony's or Frankendino's or Italics or Jeff Ruby's are all four.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I've been to all of them. They are fabulous. There's
- 15:29Speaker 1: many other good restaurants here too. All right, Tom Lougan
- 15:34Speaker 1: Bill coming up next. What do you think about that? Rant?
- 15:38Speaker 1: I liked it, okay, because I love when people share.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Somebody earlier shared that they've recently had the onion rings
- 15:45Speaker 1: from Burger's Blues Barbecue, Dogwood Flowood. I want people to
- 15:48Speaker 1: tell us when they've been somewhere cool and what they've
- 15:51Speaker 1: had to eat or dine on.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Go ahead, I got a little uh my eye got
- 15:57Speaker 2: caught by Mangum.
- 15:59Speaker 1: What happened Lord? Yesterday?
- 16:01Speaker 2: He decided he was going to throw a guy out
- 16:04Speaker 2: from deep Okay, Well, you know little blooper over the
- 16:07Speaker 2: third base head. So he's he's making room. Now he's
- 16:10Speaker 2: over and left, he's speeding. He's flying down there to
- 16:12Speaker 2: get this ball the line. I love it like they
- 16:14Speaker 2: had a little shift on and he guns it the
- 16:16Speaker 2: second and boom.
- 16:19Speaker 1: He's called safe. Jake wasn't happy.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Oh so he comes over there and he's hooting and
- 16:24Speaker 2: Holland to go to the booth.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Did he win it? They won the overturn? He won
- 16:29Speaker 1: the challenge down it's beautiful.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Oh that's it's the challenge the place of Erupts And he's, oh, man,
- 16:36Speaker 2: this is awesome for room good and they're hot.
- 16:38Speaker 1: That was brought to you by Farm Bureau Insurance Bundle.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You're autoing home and save with your local Farm Bureau
- 16:45Speaker 1: Insurance agent. Go with the home team as Jake Mangham
- 16:49Speaker 1: leads that rally for both Farm Bureau and for the
- 16:53Speaker 1: Pittsburgh Pirates. So he gotten that dude down there hot.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I missed that. Over the weekend, I was not as
- 16:58Speaker 1: dilled in other than I watched some of the Open
- 17:01Speaker 1: Championship and I did watch Rory Uh make a blank
- 17:05Speaker 1: of himself and then the whole d Chambeau crazy. It
- 17:08Speaker 1: was kind of SEC football like that, you know, because
- 17:12Speaker 1: we there are teams and coaches and that get mixed
- 17:15Speaker 1: up between each other at times, as we all know,
- 17:18Speaker 1: like Ole Miss and Kivin, which I think is probably
- 17:22Speaker 1: gonna get heated up again this week? When did you
- 17:25Speaker 1: tell me, dear camp, Pete is rolling on the stage,
- 17:29Speaker 1: will be there on Tuesday Thursday.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Nope, Wendy, He's a sandwich between some roll and elcod
- 17:39Speaker 2: boor some raw golden Yoko.
- 17:43Speaker 1: That's a pretty that's a pretty damn good group. That's
- 17:46Speaker 1: a good day. Yeah, I mean the boor is a
- 17:48Speaker 1: good coach. But shout out to the schedulers right here.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Some are all as a good coach. We don't know
- 17:52Speaker 1: about Pete and Elko's done a good job. Oh yeah,
- 17:59Speaker 1: you know. A and M is A and M the
- 18:03Speaker 1: playoff team. They did go. They got beat at home
- 18:05Speaker 1: by Miami. But it's a tough That was a tough
- 18:10Speaker 1: road game, wasn't That wasn't that at A and M.
- 18:14Speaker 1: That wasn't at Miami, was it? I'm pretty sure A
- 18:18Speaker 1: and M they lose at home. I'm pretty sure A
- 18:21Speaker 1: and M lost at home like Oklahoma. But would you
- 18:24Speaker 1: double check that? Okay, okay out, Yeah it's still at home.
- 18:31Speaker 1: You shouldn't. I can't remember if their OC had already
- 18:34Speaker 1: left or if he stayed over for the college football playoff.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Colin Klein or some name the former quarterback at Kansas
- 18:44Speaker 1: State was that, but then he left A and M
- 18:46Speaker 1: to go collect those dots. He is currently the head
- 18:51Speaker 1: coach at Kansas State because he was a good little quarterback.
- 18:55Speaker 1: He's a real good quarterback. If you got about the guy.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Of Sniper under Sneer, yeah, oh yeah, he's young, he's
- 19:04Speaker 2: thirty six, but he's he definitely played on the Snyder Okay,
- 19:07Speaker 2: all right, I had to.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I had to connect those dots. On another note, speaking
- 19:17Speaker 1: of famous people, we're talking about SEC coaches, some famous
- 19:20Speaker 1: some night. Mick Jagger says, fame this is disassociates a
- 19:26Speaker 1: person from ordinary, ordinary light. I can't believe that I
- 19:31Speaker 1: had no idea revolutionary. Thank you, Mick, appreciate it, Budd.
- 19:36Speaker 1: We are the Out of Bound Show Tom lougan Bill,
- 19:38Speaker 1: National college football analysts with the ESPN. Coming up next
- 19:41Speaker 1: on the Farm Bureau Insurance guest Line. Why is there
- 20:10Speaker 1: air here? We go? Good morning, Welcome into the Ata
- 20:15Speaker 1: Bounds Show, ESPN one oh five nine to zone. We
- 20:19Speaker 1: welcome in our friend Tom lougan Bill, national college football
- 20:23Speaker 1: analysts with ESPN. He was at SEC Media Days last week.
- 20:28Speaker 1: We get I said, acc ACC Media Days last week
- 20:32Speaker 1: SEC Media Days. This week, Lukes joins us on the
- 20:36Speaker 1: Farm Bureau Insurance guest Line and the show is driven
- 20:39Speaker 1: by your next GMC Yukon or GMC Sierra truck At
- 20:44Speaker 1: Fowler Fowler, GMC Pearl, Brandon, Tom Lougan, Bill, good morning,
- 20:48Speaker 1: how are you?
- 20:49Speaker 4: Good morning to you. But I'm doing good.
- 20:50Speaker 1: How are you? We're good, Bud, Thanks for hanging out
- 20:53Speaker 1: with us. So let's start with the most Pressure to
- 20:59Speaker 1: Deliver in twenty twenty six. You'll love this. This is
- 21:04Speaker 1: great summertime topic. Most pressure to Deliver in twenty twenty
- 21:08Speaker 1: six Kiffin Smart or Sart Luke's.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Oh, Kiffin, without question. I mean they've almost set themselves
- 21:21Speaker 4: up for a nowhere to go but down scenario. When
- 21:25Speaker 4: you consider the pressure and the expectations, the resources that
- 21:30Speaker 4: have been allotted, the money that has already been spent,
- 21:33Speaker 4: the ballet hood, recruiting class, transfer portal class, all of it.
- 21:38Speaker 4: I mean, this isn't This isn't like taking the old
- 21:41Speaker 4: miss job and then you get to a nine win
- 21:42Speaker 4: season and they are going to build a statue of
- 21:44Speaker 4: you outside of the stadium. This is a college football
- 21:49Speaker 4: playoff top four or five seed. We expect it right
- 21:54Speaker 4: now type of expectation and fair or unfair, They've created
- 22:00Speaker 4: this and that's fine because that's the nature of the business.
- 22:05Speaker 4: You know, Stark's going to have a great football team.
- 22:07Speaker 4: I think Kirby's gonna have a great football team. But
- 22:11Speaker 4: right now, this is about Lane establishing LSU as a
- 22:15Speaker 4: national title contender right out of the gate and.
- 22:18Speaker 1: A tough September schedule for Lane with Clemson and Ole
- 22:24Speaker 1: miss and A and m So Tom Logan Bill on
- 22:27Speaker 1: the at a bound show, which roster would you take today? Texas, Georgia, LSU, Lukes.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Uh Texas and Georgia over LSU's roster. The reason why
- 22:39Speaker 4: I say that is there are more returning, verifiable, proven
- 22:46Speaker 4: players on Texas and Georgia in relationship to guys that
- 22:50Speaker 4: have played and been within the program. Right so when
- 22:54Speaker 4: you look at Georgia and Notre Dames. Actually in this
- 22:56Speaker 4: conversation too, you look at Georgia and you look at
- 22:59Speaker 4: Texas and you say, oh, okay, we're the established foundation.
- 23:02Speaker 4: It's clearly on the high school side. Have they for
- 23:05Speaker 4: the most part, you're not going to be able to
- 23:07Speaker 4: do it with everybody, but have they developed and retained
- 23:09Speaker 4: at the high school level, yes, and then they supplement
- 23:12Speaker 4: and they sprinkle in transfer portal additions. More than likely,
- 23:16Speaker 4: upper classman guys are going to bring experience, they're going
- 23:19Speaker 4: to bring age, they're going to bring maturity, and right now,
- 23:23Speaker 4: from an established standpoint, I think you'd have to take
- 23:26Speaker 4: Texas or Georgia.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Okay, But having said all that, LSU's you know, they're
- 23:33Speaker 1: not far off.
- 23:34Speaker 4: No, And I think LSU has got a high ceiling. Okay, Okay,
- 23:39Speaker 4: but I've said this to you multiple times on your program.
- 23:44Speaker 4: If Sam Levitt doesn't perform, and more importantly, doesn't stay healthy,
- 23:50Speaker 4: then they're likely going to be, you know, jumping to
- 23:52Speaker 4: a youngster if that were to happen, and it's happened
- 23:55Speaker 4: a lot with him, right the previous two years at
- 23:58Speaker 4: Arizona State. A lot of the high let's not forget,
- 24:00Speaker 4: a lot of a hype on him was based off
- 24:03Speaker 4: of that twenty twenty four season, right, and not much
- 24:07Speaker 4: other of a sample size to warrant that hype. So
- 24:11Speaker 4: he's going to have to come through big for them.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Yeah, So eight and four, eight and four will just
- 24:19Speaker 1: be a big time disappointment. And you can't get in
- 24:23Speaker 1: at nine and three. I don't with the twelve until
- 24:26Speaker 1: we go to sixteen, twenty or twenty four Lukes, which
- 24:29Speaker 1: is happening, but we just don't know which number. I
- 24:33Speaker 1: think a bunch of SEC teams and Big ten teams
- 24:36Speaker 1: will go at nine and three eventually. But this is
- 24:39Speaker 1: going to be a year where Sankie thought we would
- 24:43Speaker 1: have expanded by now. They couldn't get on the same page,
- 24:45Speaker 1: as you know, but they went ahead and added the
- 24:48Speaker 1: ninth conference game, So we could have a big cluster
- 24:52Speaker 1: of nine and three teams that are on the outside
- 24:55Speaker 1: looking in, even though that could be a good year
- 24:58Speaker 1: in the SEC, of.
- 24:59Speaker 4: Course, but you could have that out of conference. You
- 25:01Speaker 4: could have that out of the out of the ACC too.
- 25:04Speaker 4: What I mean, what if what if Miami's right there
- 25:06Speaker 4: in it again? Uh, Clemson's in a position right now
- 25:09Speaker 4: or for the first time in what fifteen years? Nobody's
- 25:13Speaker 4: talking about them. Yeah, like they're lying in the weeds
- 25:18Speaker 4: to me. You got Louisville, you got SMU sitting there.
- 25:20Speaker 4: There could be a bunch of teams sitting there at
- 25:21Speaker 4: ten and two, nine and three out of all of
- 25:24Speaker 4: the conferences, right and and and then what do you
- 25:26Speaker 4: do what what you got to make sure we don't
- 25:29Speaker 4: do is go down last year's path and the ACC
- 25:32Speaker 4: created that. But to leave teams like BYU Texas, even Vanderbilt,
- 25:38Speaker 4: Notre Dame and Notre Dame at home in favor of
- 25:41Speaker 4: James Madison in Tulane is absolutely laughable because that's the difference.
- 25:47Speaker 4: And I think I said this to you too, Bo.
- 25:48Speaker 4: The nobody wants to talk about Cinderella's and you know
- 25:52Speaker 4: those long shots and you want to root from and
- 25:54Speaker 4: this and that. Well, the difference between the basketball tournament
- 25:58Speaker 4: and the football college football Playoff is basketball doesn't leave
- 26:03Speaker 4: the blue blood established program sitting at home to left
- 26:07Speaker 4: the Cinderella in right, right, We just left those guys
- 26:11Speaker 4: at home. And they want to call it the twelve
- 26:13Speaker 4: best teams in college football. Give me a brink.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Come on, that's a good point on Notre Dame in
- 26:19Speaker 1: Texas and to a certain extint Bandy going ten and
- 26:22Speaker 1: two sure and getting sure and getting left out. Tom
- 26:25Speaker 1: Logan Bill on the Out of Bounds Show driven by
- 26:27Speaker 1: your next GMC Sierra Truck at Fowler GMC, you mentioned
- 26:32Speaker 1: Notre Dame and you're heavily you know, you started a
- 26:38Speaker 1: quarterback at Georgia Tech. You covered the ACC forever. Now
- 26:42Speaker 1: you're heavily involved in the ACC. They're tied in with
- 26:47Speaker 1: their four or five games a year. But have you
- 26:49Speaker 1: ever in modern era Luke's looked at a schedule that
- 26:53Speaker 1: lines up this way considered considering what Marcus Freeman and
- 26:58Speaker 1: Notre Dame are bringing back.
- 27:01Speaker 4: No, I mean it's you know what it is. It's
- 27:03Speaker 4: the perfect recipe for a national title run. It's also
- 27:07Speaker 4: the perfect recipe for disasters. Yeah, right, it's a double
- 27:10Speaker 4: edged sword. And you know, when you look, go look
- 27:14Speaker 4: at Notre Dame and the job that they've done in
- 27:16Speaker 4: terms of development and retention. They've got a potential top
- 27:20Speaker 4: five pick at quarterback. They've got two young, outstanding offensive
- 27:24Speaker 4: tackles on both sides. The biggest thing for me about
- 27:26Speaker 4: Notre Dame is they're gonna have to come up with
- 27:27Speaker 4: a way of generating pass rush. You know, that was
- 27:30Speaker 4: something that was lacking a year ago. I think they've
- 27:32Speaker 4: got to increase the output there, create more negative plays
- 27:35Speaker 4: in the backfield, get people in second and third and
- 27:38Speaker 4: long on a more consistent basis. But everything else is there, man.
- 27:42Speaker 4: I mean, they are established and They've got the schedule
- 27:46Speaker 4: where outside of probably the Miami contest, it's not even
- 27:51Speaker 4: close in terms of roster profile comparison with Notre Dame
- 27:54Speaker 4: and whoever else they're playing.
- 27:57Speaker 1: And I think that games can shoup in It is yeah, beautiful, incredible,
- 28:05Speaker 1: and so I mean, we we all have them in
- 28:08Speaker 1: the They could, they could screw it up, but we
- 28:10Speaker 1: all have them in the College Football Playoff with their
- 28:13Speaker 1: schedule and talent.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Yeah, if they're in the top twelve, it doesn't matter
- 28:16Speaker 4: what they do. They're in right right. And if that
- 28:19Speaker 4: roster and that team with that schedule isn't in the
- 28:21Speaker 4: top twelve, then they've had a twenty five Clemson collapse, Yeah, right.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Out of bounds. ESPN one oh five nine to the
- 28:32Speaker 1: zone you mentioned Texas. I'm not sure. I know they
- 28:36Speaker 1: have the talent. We all know that, but I don't
- 28:39Speaker 1: know if I'm buying so Kaikowski to me like premiere,
- 28:43Speaker 1: big time defensive coordinator, much champs, like good, but he's
- 28:47Speaker 1: in the B level. I think Kaikowski's in the A level.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Oh, I don't. I don't know if I agree with that.
- 28:52Speaker 4: I think there's been there's I think there's been plenty
- 28:55Speaker 4: of proof that will much Champ as a coordinator is
- 28:59Speaker 4: at the elite level. Now, we all know you got
- 29:02Speaker 4: to have players, right, You got to have really really
- 29:05Speaker 4: good players, and really really good players make you a
- 29:08Speaker 4: really really good coach. Sure, and Texas is going to
- 29:12Speaker 4: have that. You know it'll be. Now, it might look
- 29:14Speaker 4: a little different, they might be a little bit different
- 29:16Speaker 4: schematically and things of that nature. But understand too that
- 29:21Speaker 4: it's all coming off of the of the same tree,
- 29:24Speaker 4: and Stark coached under that tree. Like he knows exactly
- 29:27Speaker 4: what they are getting scheme wise on defense, he knows
- 29:29Speaker 4: exactly how it's going to be implemented. He knows what
- 29:31Speaker 4: the challenges are playing against that defense. So whether it's
- 29:36Speaker 4: Mush Champ, Pete Golding, Kirby Smart, whoever it is, you
- 29:40Speaker 4: know that you want to look at and say, Okay,
- 29:44Speaker 4: you know, we know the sab And tree. We know
- 29:46Speaker 4: what the scheme is. It's tried and true. You add
- 29:48Speaker 4: great players to it, they're going to be a formidable group.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Tom Loganville, national college football analyst with the ESPN on
- 29:56Speaker 1: the add of bound Ship, I want to go to
- 29:58Speaker 1: old Miss Kiffin is has established himself. Is it fair
- 30:02Speaker 1: to say Kiffin's established himself the last six years as
- 30:04Speaker 1: a top ten play caller.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely agree. I would actually go back to even
- 30:12Speaker 4: he is a younger coach, gnashing his teeth and being
- 30:16Speaker 4: able to develop as a play caller and a you know,
- 30:20Speaker 4: an overseer of the offense, going back to him working
- 30:23Speaker 4: under Norm chowd sc in some of those SC offenses
- 30:27Speaker 4: and then obviously it became his turn, and eventually it
- 30:30Speaker 4: became Sark's turn. But yeah, I think where he's done
- 30:34Speaker 4: a really good job is he's evolved with the game right,
- 30:38Speaker 4: He's added wrinkles, he's eliminated things, he's tweaked, he's became
- 30:43Speaker 4: you know, they weren't a tempo team at USC, they
- 30:46Speaker 4: weren't let's go as fast as we can team at USC.
- 30:49Speaker 4: He's found some positives in that, so he's implemented it.
- 30:51Speaker 4: I think the evolution of him not just as a
- 30:55Speaker 4: play caller, but to enhance the play call by enhancing
- 30:59Speaker 4: the approach.
- 31:00Speaker 1: And he's done. Okay, Now, Trinidad Chambliss and Keewan Lacy
- 31:07Speaker 1: have a new play caller who has two years of
- 31:11Speaker 1: offensive coordinator experience under his bell in East Carolina, and
- 31:14Speaker 1: John David Baker. And John David Baker said, yeah, it's
- 31:19Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of the same, but some different
- 31:21Speaker 1: and different terminology. So you started at quarterback at Georgia Tech.
- 31:25Speaker 1: What I know, Trinidad and Lacy are going to know
- 31:28Speaker 1: the offense and so on, But what does that entail
- 31:32Speaker 1: walk us through? There will be some tweaks and different
- 31:36Speaker 1: terminology for this ole miss offense.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:39Speaker 4: I think what you got to do is if you
- 31:41Speaker 4: sat there and you put it on paper, right, and
- 31:43Speaker 4: you drew out the concepts and this and that, all right,
- 31:46Speaker 4: it just may mean that instead of calling it a slants,
- 31:49Speaker 4: we call a glance, all right. Instead of a slant,
- 31:51Speaker 4: we called a glance, all right. And instead of a dig,
- 31:56Speaker 4: we called it over you know, whatever it may be.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Instead of a comeback, we call it You're just talking
- 32:02Speaker 4: about interchangeable words. But if you visualize it and looked
- 32:05Speaker 4: at it, and let's just say you took a play
- 32:08Speaker 4: because John David Baker's offenses essentially, I mean it's rooted
- 32:11Speaker 4: in old Missus principles. He's coached there before. And you
- 32:15Speaker 4: drew it and you said, okay, what does this play
- 32:18Speaker 4: to you? To a player? That played at ole Miss
- 32:21Speaker 4: a year ago, and they look at it, they know
- 32:22Speaker 4: exactly what it is. Well, so the play is not changing,
- 32:26Speaker 4: just what you're calling it maybe shifting a little bit. Now,
- 32:29Speaker 4: that's where your off season comes in, right, that's where
- 32:33Speaker 4: your work in January, February, March, and you head into
- 32:35Speaker 4: spring football. And if you can't come out of spring
- 32:39Speaker 4: football adjusting to terminology, you're not a very smart football player.
- 32:43Speaker 4: And dumb players lose games. So there's going to be
- 32:47Speaker 4: very there's going to be very little tolerance to not
- 32:51Speaker 4: be able to know what the foundation of the offense
- 32:53Speaker 4: is when you see it, but not be able to
- 32:55Speaker 4: adjust because you change a couple of things here and there.
- 32:57Speaker 4: You tag something or you call protection something. Instead of
- 33:00Speaker 4: a propection being a name, it's now a number. Okay,
- 33:03Speaker 4: well we got to be able to adjust to that.
- 33:04Speaker 4: The good part about all of this is by eliminating
- 33:08Speaker 4: the second transfer portal period from the time that player
- 33:11Speaker 4: has arrived, either through high school recruiting in December or
- 33:14Speaker 4: the transfer portal you know in January one, spring football ended,
- 33:20Speaker 4: they're not going anywhere. They're there, so you're not having it.
- 33:23Speaker 4: Let's just say take a second group of transfer portal
- 33:27Speaker 4: guys that previously would have come in after spring football
- 33:29Speaker 4: and now integrate them heading into fall camp. That's already
- 33:33Speaker 4: been done. So by the time anybody, whether it's terminology,
- 33:37Speaker 4: even if you even if you flip the scheme, even
- 33:39Speaker 4: if you brought in an offer at the coordinator that
- 33:40Speaker 4: was gonna, you know, run a different style of offense,
- 33:45Speaker 4: there's there's gonna be very little tolerance and very little
- 33:47Speaker 4: excuses for, especially at the quarterback position, but everybody else
- 33:51Speaker 4: as well, to not be dialed in on what you're
- 33:54Speaker 4: gonna do.
- 33:55Speaker 1: It looks like John David Paker throws the ball a
- 33:59Speaker 1: good bit more than Kiffin. Kiffin's been somehow we painted
- 34:03Speaker 1: him Kiffin is a pass happy offense because we see
- 34:06Speaker 1: all the explosive plays, guys running wide open. But as
- 34:09Speaker 1: you know, Lane loves to run the football, not that
- 34:12Speaker 1: John David Baker won't, but he he skews on the
- 34:16Speaker 1: kind of the big twelve, twenty ten, twenty eleven throw
- 34:20Speaker 1: it more From what I gather.
- 34:22Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I actually I had East Carolina three
- 34:24Speaker 4: times last year, so it became very familiar with them
- 34:27Speaker 4: on Thursday Night football, and so I think they want
- 34:32Speaker 4: to run it more. But here's the thing that's, you know, interesting,
- 34:34Speaker 4: we forget about this. Either folks don't know it or
- 34:37Speaker 4: they don't realize it's happening, because it's not. It's tough
- 34:39Speaker 4: to see if you don't know what you're watching, But
- 34:42Speaker 4: oftentimes things that materialize in the passing game were called
- 34:46Speaker 4: runs in the huddle, right, And so what's happening is
- 34:51Speaker 4: is it's really simple math. And that is, when you
- 34:55Speaker 4: get into that line of scrimmage play and you've either
- 34:59Speaker 4: got two plays called in one, you're gonna have a
- 35:01Speaker 4: check out of it based off of what the look is.
- 35:04Speaker 4: The quarterbacks count numbers, right, and so we may say, hey,
- 35:07Speaker 4: we want to run it here, we want to establish
- 35:09Speaker 4: this here, but oh boy, they've got seven in the
- 35:12Speaker 4: box and we've only got five or six to block them. Well,
- 35:15Speaker 4: that's not smart football, right, So we got to get
- 35:17Speaker 4: out of that. And if you're gonna load the box,
- 35:19Speaker 4: we want to have one on one opportunities and you're
- 35:21Speaker 4: gonna throw the football. Conversely, the exact opposite happens as well.
- 35:25Speaker 4: You may come into a situation where you've got second
- 35:28Speaker 4: and eight and you've got a pass play called and
- 35:33Speaker 4: they're in too high and got five people in the box. Well,
- 35:35Speaker 4: you're gonna check her run, right, because now you have
- 35:38Speaker 4: the numbers advantage, and you're going to try to get
- 35:42Speaker 4: five six yards of that and get yourself in second
- 35:44Speaker 4: and short, which is the third and short, which is
- 35:46Speaker 4: what everybody wants to be in. So it's not necessarily
- 35:49Speaker 4: rocket science. It's numbers.
- 35:52Speaker 1: And you have a veteran quarterback who proved he was
- 35:54Speaker 1: arguably the best decision maker in the country.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Yeah, last year, he can get you out of those things, right,
- 36:01Speaker 4: he knows he knows pre snap. Okay, this is what
- 36:04Speaker 4: we ultimately want to be in. We don't want to
- 36:06Speaker 4: run this versus this look. We'd ideally love them to
- 36:09Speaker 4: be in this look if we're going to attack them
- 36:10Speaker 4: with this. Oh wait, that they're not in that look either,
- 36:13Speaker 4: Let's go to something else and understand too, Like at
- 36:16Speaker 4: the speed and rate that they're going, how fast that
- 36:19Speaker 4: stuff has to happen? Right, And because it's not just
- 36:22Speaker 4: the pre snap recognition in the diagnosis once the ball snap,
- 36:27Speaker 4: you've got to produce a positive result. And with offenses
- 36:30Speaker 4: like that, they're having to make those determinations anywhere between
- 36:33Speaker 4: eleven and fourteen seconds.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Let's go to Jeff Levy, who's on the hot seat
- 36:41Speaker 1: and has to win this year, and he has a
- 36:45Speaker 1: true sophomore quarterback. And I always reference Dak and Eli
- 36:52Speaker 1: who back then didn't start until the red shirt sophomore
- 36:55Speaker 1: years here and they're both phenomenal. Okay, they hung around
- 36:58Speaker 1: forever all that, So his job is right, you know,
- 37:04Speaker 1: is on the line with a true sophomore QB who's
- 37:07Speaker 1: six foot four, two thirty. You know he can run around,
- 37:12Speaker 1: probably not a refined passer. Yet you played quarterback at
- 37:16Speaker 1: the Power four level knowing that you've got to win
- 37:19Speaker 1: X amount of games. What would be your I mean,
- 37:25Speaker 1: what would be to your approach this year with a
- 37:27Speaker 1: true sophomore that played a little bit last year, knowing
- 37:30Speaker 1: that he's going to have to carry you over the
- 37:32Speaker 1: finish line, so to speak.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Luke Well, I think that's where the off season coaching
- 37:37Speaker 4: component comes into play. As you mentioned, you've got a
- 37:40Speaker 4: small sample size, there's tape to be to be watched,
- 37:44Speaker 4: and then you're you're continuing to develop this player's theory
- 37:49Speaker 4: of the game knowledge. It's not necessarily how big he is,
- 37:51Speaker 4: how tall he is it's what can he handle, what
- 37:53Speaker 4: can he process? What can he do right? And you're
- 37:56Speaker 4: going to test that out. That's what spring football's for.
- 37:58Speaker 4: You're going to put him in situations to see what
- 38:00Speaker 4: he does. You're going to maybe try to trick him
- 38:02Speaker 4: into a situation to see if he recognizes it and
- 38:05Speaker 4: gets out of it or moves into something. You're going
- 38:08Speaker 4: to want to really upgrade that player's knowledge of past
- 38:12Speaker 4: protections and how to protect himself and get the team
- 38:16Speaker 4: into the right call. So I think so much of
- 38:19Speaker 4: the development and an off season between a freshman and
- 38:21Speaker 4: sophomore year is really advancing that player's knowledge of the
- 38:27Speaker 4: game so that they can think fast and they can
- 38:29Speaker 4: play comfortable. Now does that mean that you ask them
- 38:32Speaker 4: to do something that maybe they're not comfortable with or
- 38:35Speaker 4: they don't have confidence in. Absolutely not. But that's what
- 38:38Speaker 4: you're trying to find out, right. Because we can talk
- 38:41Speaker 4: all we want about scheme and systems and this and that.
- 38:44Speaker 4: The great systems are the systems that revolve around a
- 38:47Speaker 4: player's strengths and then do everything they can to mask weaknesses.
- 38:50Speaker 4: So you're trying to figure out what that is, right,
- 38:52Speaker 4: You're trying to say Okay, you know with with somebody
- 38:56Speaker 4: like I don't know anybody they would have had at
- 39:02Speaker 4: Oklahoma under Jeff Levy, guys that had Dylan gab Well, yeah, okay,
- 39:07Speaker 4: let's take Dylan Gabriel for example. Okay, they may do
- 39:10Speaker 4: things in the offense with Dylan Gabriel that they're not
- 39:13Speaker 4: gonna do with Kamaro Taylor, right, And maybe it's not
- 39:16Speaker 4: because he's not capable of doing it, but maybe it's
- 39:19Speaker 4: because he's not capable of doing it yet. Or you're
- 39:22Speaker 4: going to implement some things that Camaro Taylor does really
- 39:25Speaker 4: really well that you wouldn't have done with Dylan Gabriel.
- 39:28Speaker 4: And whether that's moving the pocket change and the launch point,
- 39:31Speaker 4: putting in him in a position to always be able
- 39:33Speaker 4: to run in case things don't happen and he doesn't
- 39:37Speaker 4: get through the progression, but avoiding a negative play and
- 39:39Speaker 4: doing so, you got to find those things out and
- 39:42Speaker 4: then you build the day offense around that, right, because
- 39:45Speaker 4: you don't want to stick a square peg in a
- 39:46Speaker 4: round hole, you know, like the old days it used
- 39:48Speaker 4: to be, well, you know, we're going to put this
- 39:51Speaker 4: guy into the West Coast offense, or this guy's going
- 39:53Speaker 4: to be right in the in the multiple pro style,
- 39:55Speaker 4: and this is who we are, this is what we're
- 39:57Speaker 4: going to do, and that player has to adapt. Yes,
- 40:00Speaker 4: those days are long gone.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Yes, all right, we'll wrap it up with this. Tom
- 40:04Speaker 1: Louganviille on the show ESPN College Football Analysts. Biggest story
- 40:11Speaker 1: coming out of the ACC. Can Belichick get it done
- 40:15Speaker 1: at North Carolina? Can Dabbo reboot Clemson? Or does Mario
- 40:21Speaker 1: make another run? Or is it another You were there
- 40:23Speaker 1: all week last week. You've got some big names in
- 40:26Speaker 1: the conference. What is it for you, Tom Louganville.
- 40:30Speaker 4: I don't think it's really I don't think North Carolina's
- 40:32Speaker 4: is a big of a storyline unless they come out
- 40:34Speaker 4: of nowhere and just completely have a reversal of fortune.
- 40:38Speaker 4: You know, last year, if you remember, they were gifted
- 40:41Speaker 4: a great schedule and went four and eight with it.
- 40:44Speaker 4: They have not been gifted that schedule this time around.
- 40:47Speaker 4: Their schedule is much more difficult. They are going to
- 40:50Speaker 4: have almost as many new faith as as they had
- 40:53Speaker 4: a year ago, yet they're going to be less experienced.
- 40:55Speaker 4: I love to hire Bobby Petrino, but what can he
- 40:58Speaker 4: get out of the quarterback and how much better can
- 41:02Speaker 4: they be, They got to be able to run the football.
- 41:03Speaker 4: I mean last year North Carolina, when they ran for
- 41:06Speaker 4: one hundred and forty five yards or more per game,
- 41:09Speaker 4: they were three and up. They only won four games
- 41:11Speaker 4: all right. Last year at Arkansas there were only two
- 41:14Speaker 4: games where by Patrino's offense didn't rush for one hundred
- 41:18Speaker 4: and forty five yards or more. So they're going to
- 41:20Speaker 4: try to run the football North Carolina, and they need
- 41:22Speaker 4: to because you don't know what the quarterback position is
- 41:24Speaker 4: going to be just yet. Miami is to me, they're
- 41:29Speaker 4: the most talented team. They have the best blend of
- 41:31Speaker 4: high school developed recruits and transfer portal additions. For me,
- 41:35Speaker 4: I don't think it's about how good Miami's going to
- 41:37Speaker 4: be or how good they're capable of being. To me,
- 41:40Speaker 4: it's going to be all about did they spend their
- 41:42Speaker 4: offseason in their press clippings? Yeah, and you know the
- 41:45Speaker 4: pats on the backs and the Atta boys. I mean
- 41:48Speaker 4: that stuff starts sinking in and all of a sudden,
- 41:51Speaker 4: you know, you get caught up in it and you
- 41:52Speaker 4: lose your focus and you're not you know, when you
- 41:54Speaker 4: bringing new guys that weren't a part of that run
- 41:56Speaker 4: last year, they didn't have anything to do with that.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Now you got to establish that run on your own
- 42:01Speaker 4: with a new team and a new locker room and
- 42:02Speaker 4: new leadership. And I think that's something you know to
- 42:05Speaker 4: keep an eye on. With Miami. I think Clemson is
- 42:08Speaker 4: going to be very interesting to watch because, like I said,
- 42:10Speaker 4: you know, when was the last time we were going
- 42:11Speaker 4: into a preseason where all the talk was it Clemson?
- 42:15Speaker 4: You know, So it's going to be interesting. The quarterback
- 42:18Speaker 4: play is actually pretty good in the ACC. CJ. Bailey
- 42:20Speaker 4: a Nancy State is a stud. Kevin Jennings at SMU
- 42:22Speaker 4: is a stud. We obviously know Darien mensa many time
- 42:27Speaker 4: player getting that move to Miami. And you know, we'll
- 42:30Speaker 4: see how the whole thing plays out.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Lukes, we appreciate it. Have a good week, my man.
- 42:35Speaker 4: You bet we'll do the same to you.
