- 0:01Hello, good morning. Welcome. I am
- 0:03Samuel Trapp. This
- 0:06is International Flavor. You are
- 0:08listening to Dam Radio. I'm damn glad to
- 0:11have you.
- 0:12Uh
- 0:13let's see here.
- 0:15I suppose the biggest uh
- 0:17>> [sighs]
- 0:18>> problems that we got these days are uh
- 0:21the world's ending. I don't know if
- 0:22you're aware of this, but the uh world
- 0:25is coming to an end.
- 0:26And uh this is uh
- 0:29This is horrifying. We're all going to
- 0:31die. We should all run around like
- 0:33Chicken Little
- 0:34even now, and uh
- 0:38talk about the notable
- 0:40>> [clears throat]
- 0:41>> earthquakes taking over the planet this
- 0:44morning.
- 0:457.5
- 0:4623 km southeast of Yuma, Venezuela. 7.5
- 0:53at uh 15:05 Pacific Time.
- 0:57At the Universal Time coordinates of
- 0:5922:05.
- 1:01That's a good image mean for those of
- 1:03you. A major shallow earthquake 10 km
- 1:07down is all.
- 1:10That's depressing. So, we got Venezuela,
- 1:13Japan, we got Northern California. You
- 1:16know, uh when, by the way, are we all
- 1:19going to die because Yellowstone erupts,
- 1:21one of the largest volcanoes on the
- 1:23planet that is overdue by about 100,000
- 1:27years. So, these are things to lay awake
- 1:29at night and think about as the lava
- 1:32rolls over you baking you instantly to a
- 1:37crisp. 164 dead outside of
- 1:43uh
- 1:44Yuma, Venezuela. And I was just planning
- 1:47on going there on vacation. Geez.
- 1:50How frustrating is that? Can't go there.
- 1:537.2
- 1:56in It occurred almost immediately before
- 1:59the 7.5 event also in Venezuela. This
- 2:03one 24 km east north northeast of San
- 2:07Felipe.
- 2:09Uh
- 2:10just like minutes before. Uh a whole
- 2:13minute before.
- 2:14So, this is not good. Another one.
- 2:17Third 6.9
- 2:19on the old scale of Richter. Wonder who
- 2:22that guy was. We should find pictures of
- 2:24him and throw stuff at him cuz he's
- 2:26stressing us out.
- 2:28Uh 30 km east northeast of Kuji, Japan
- 2:33at
- 2:346.9 at probably a half an hour after the
- 2:39uh
- 2:40Venezuela strong offshore
- 2:43near coastal Japan event. So, what does
- 2:46that mean? Means another one occurred in
- 2:48California.
- 2:50This was a 5.6 11 km north of Redwood
- 2:54Valley, California. That's a pretty area
- 2:58up there. Don't be Don't be Venezuela
- 3:00Don't be
- 3:01earthquake Venezuela uh
- 3:04uh destroying our redwoods up there.
- 3:06That's a pretty spot. You know where you
- 3:08can go drive through the one tree? You
- 3:10can drive right through it.
- 3:11And that's very pretty. Redwoods are are
- 3:14are very beautiful tree.
- 3:16And that one occurred
- 3:19um yesterday
- 3:228:10 a.m. Pacific time and uh probably
- 3:25about uh six six seven hours before
- 3:30the Venezuela northern California
- 3:33Mendocino County.
- 3:35Not San Francisco or LA, but you know,
- 3:38still
- 3:39a California quake. Another one. Four
- 3:43uh on the scale of Richter
- 3:45uh remaining seismically active in Papua
- 3:49New Guinea and Kokopo area. Another
- 3:53several [clears throat] get this.
- 3:55Normal ring of fire they they call this
- 3:57normal. Normal ring of fire activity.
- 4:00Wonder if Johnny Cash is a spinning and
- 4:02is singing in his grave when they stole
- 4:05his music and called that the Ring of
- 4:06Fire. Peru, Mexico, Chile, Greece,
- 4:09Philippines, Indonesia, Alaska, Hawaii,
- 4:11and Oregon offshore.
- 4:14The Venezuela situation of course is the
- 4:16most serious of all this stuff. Current
- 4:18reporting says Venezuela declared an
- 4:20emergency 7.2 foreshock and 7.5
- 4:23mainshock with substantial casualties
- 4:26and damage reported around Caracas, La
- 4:29Guaira La Wait, I said that wrong. La
- 4:31Guaira
- 4:33and the Caribbean coast. Those casualty
- 4:35numbers of course are going to change
- 4:37through the day. They say like 164
- 4:39something like that. Whatever it said a
- 4:40few minutes ago. California quake is
- 4:42Northern California near Redwood Valley.
- 4:45Um
- 4:465.6 enough to knock stuff off the shelf.
- 4:48So, when I lived in California, I was
- 4:50going to the uh
- 4:52to the uh
- 4:55Defense Language Institute. First time
- 4:58No, it's second time out. With uh uh
- 5:02uh lived in a in a kind of a cool house.
- 5:05A
- 5:06It was an apartment really and uh I was
- 5:09over So, it was an apartment building
- 5:11with like four apartments in it and
- 5:13underneath cuz we were pretty close to
- 5:15the water
- 5:16uh on the ocean, there there was uh our
- 5:18our house was on stilts. And so, you
- 5:21parked underneath it like a carport. So,
- 5:23there was a little garage area down
- 5:25below. Um
- 5:27and then your carport. And I had was
- 5:29driving a '79 Chevy Blazer at time. Big
- 5:33old truck. And uh it was parked
- 5:35underneath the So, it was parked under
- 5:37the house. You'd walk upstairs to get up
- 5:39to your little apartment and uh had a
- 5:42shower, uh you know, had uh uh
- 5:45three bedroom, two bath, two bedroom,
- 5:46two bath, don't remember, but but it had
- 5:49um
- 5:51separate shower, so I wasn't in the
- 5:52master bath, you know, I was getting
- 5:54ready to go to work in the morning and
- 5:57uh
- 6:00I'd already done done, you know, the run
- 6:02and crap like that and
- 6:04>> [cough]
- 6:05>> excuse me, and I'm in the shower and it
- 6:07had the shower had one of those glass
- 6:10doors, you know, that uh
- 6:12is in the little track that you know,
- 6:14the cheap ass glass doors that are in
- 6:16the little crappy track and all of a
- 6:19sudden
- 6:20it started uh
- 6:22the thing starts rattling, you know, it
- 6:24starts shaking and rattling and what the
- 6:27and I start yelling at my wife is like,
- 6:28look, if you're getting in the shower,
- 6:30get in.
- 6:31>> [laughter]
- 6:31>> Quit quit screwing around. Let's get the
- 6:34Let's get the show on the road, you
- 6:36know, but no, that wasn't that was only
- 6:38in my uh my my greatest of dreams and uh
- 6:43the fact is I was experiencing an
- 6:46earthquake. She did come running in and
- 6:48she's like, oh my god, the whole house
- 6:50is shaking, everything's going and all I
- 6:51could think of is here I stand there
- 6:53naked um with
- 6:56with bottle of shampoo and all I could
- 6:59think of is damn it, you know, I'm going
- 7:01to die naked in a shower and I'm going
- 7:05to be laying on top of my damn 79 Blazer
- 7:09uh in a tub dead. That's going to be
- 7:12great. So much for uh
- 7:14good ways to go and and that's all I
- 7:17could think is like, I'm dead and but it
- 7:19was it turns out that that was merely
- 7:21the first one that I experienced. I
- 7:24experienced a couple of other ones that
- 7:26um
- 7:27uh the first time I had moved to
- 7:29California the first time in um
- 7:33I lived in
- 7:35place called Salinas, big city a little
- 7:38ways away and and Uh, then the second
- 7:41time I lived in uh Seaside and it was
- 7:44really cool place and it was, you know,
- 7:45right on the ocean. It was great.
- 7:47And uh but he both times I bicycled back
- 7:50and forth to work and it uh
- 7:53I you kind of
- 7:55when the very first time I was there was
- 7:57immediately after the one in San
- 7:59Francisco where the the the bridge
- 8:01collapsed and there were sections of the
- 8:03bridge that fell in and collapsed on top
- 8:06of uh
- 8:07some other cars and whatnot and that had
- 8:09just occurred and so I've always been
- 8:12it's like jeez, you know, if it's I'll
- 8:14never win the lottery, you know, that'd
- 8:16be too much, but if I but if I'm going
- 8:18to die in my bathtub on a uh on top of
- 8:21my '79 Blazer, that lottery I will win.
- 8:25If I'm swimming on the Great Barrier
- 8:27Reef, which I was, I will find a shark
- 8:31to uh chew my leg off, you know, that'll
- 8:33be there and of course
- 8:35that occurred. Well, not my legs. I was
- 8:38able to avoid that, but you know,
- 8:41was not entertained with the shark next
- 8:43door, you know, that was uh
- 8:45not entertaining.
- 8:47So so I'm a I'm I'm a person who uh
- 8:51stresses about these type of things.
- 8:53I don't like it and uh at any rate, the
- 8:57the skeptical analysis of all this is
- 8:59what's the doom? Here's the doom coming
- 9:01for you, right? Let's talk about Sam's
- 9:03doom saying three continents had
- 9:06significant seismic activities last
- 9:08yesterday, okay?
- 9:10In a tight window. Venezuela, major pair
- 9:13of shallow earthquakes. Japan, strong
- 9:16earthquake. California, shaking. Pacific
- 9:18Rim, active. You know, the earth is like
- 9:21here we go, sending us warnings.
- 9:24Somebody's ringing a bell, but then
- 9:26again, I suppose you could argue that
- 9:29earthquakes are common globally daily.
- 9:31There's a cool USGS list. So I have two
- 9:35things on my phone, one that I got in
- 9:37Grand Cayman.
- 9:39Um I figured out there's a shark watch
- 9:42program
- 9:43and you can
- 9:44you can [laughter] download a program
- 9:47that'll help you make sure you don't get
- 9:49eaten by sharks. Of course, if you're
- 9:50looking at your phone and you're in the
- 9:52ocean, you're already dead. So, that's
- 9:54not good, but you have a shark tracking
- 9:57shark tracking by some I don't remember
- 9:59what shark tracker.org I think it is. I
- 10:02don't remember. But the next one is the
- 10:05United States Geological Services and
- 10:08they have a website where you can go out
- 10:10to their website and download an app
- 10:13that will tell you
- 10:15>> [laughter]
- 10:16>> every time an earth So, when
- 10:18Yellowstone does go, you'll be prepared.
- 10:21And who warned you? Old Sammy did. I
- 10:24warned you. Download those two things.
- 10:26Keep track Watch your phones, you know,
- 10:28for when you got to
- 10:30build a bunker. And then you know, the
- 10:32trouble is is I'll start building a
- 10:34bunker while the lava's rolling toward
- 10:36me. You know, that's no good. You should
- 10:38have the bunker already in place,
- 10:41people, with your supplies of MREs,
- 10:44meals ready to eat, that are
- 10:48packed in there. You know, I have some
- 10:50that
- 10:51after Ian
- 10:53the hurricane down Florida,
- 10:56somebody left at my house a box of
- 11:00MREs. So, the government was mailing
- 11:02them all around. They're mailing all
- 11:04these boxes of MREs around. I've I've
- 11:06got a crate
- 11:08one of them
- 11:09I don't know, Menards
- 11:12Home Depot tubs, you know, that are
- 11:13black with the yellow lid or black with
- 11:15a red lid, whatever. And I got one full
- 11:18of MREs. There's my There's my survival
- 11:22gear. And everybody says I need to buy a
- 11:24gun, but so far I haven't for when
- 11:26everybody comes to steal my survival box
- 11:29of food. You know, we're going to have
- 11:30that. My sister's got all kinds of stuff
- 11:32in her garage. If she's listening, she
- 11:34probably call me. They My brother cans
- 11:36food and he's always canning stuff and
- 11:39it's like, "Geez, when are you going to
- 11:40eat this stuff? Quit canning it and eat
- 11:43it." These are fresh vegetables and
- 11:45fruits. I'm I'm I'm a fresh fruit type
- 11:48of guy, but earthquakes aren't really
- 11:49rare. So, the
- 11:52un un important part is that you know,
- 11:54I'm probably probably If I told you
- 11:57once, I told you a thousand times never
- 11:59to exaggerate. And I'm probably
- 12:01exaggerating tiniest of bits, but
- 12:04Yellowstone is listed by the Yellowstone
- 12:07Volcano Observatory at normal. First
- 12:11thing I did, check on that. Make sure
- 12:13the Yellowstone's not going. And has a
- 12:16green aviation color code, which means
- 12:19you can fly over it, right?
- 12:22So, the update from June the 1st said
- 12:24Yellowstone the caldera activity is at
- 12:27background level. 45 located earthquakes
- 12:30in May. The largest was only
- 12:34in the scale of 2.0. So, we can talk
- 12:36about Yellowstone as the
- 12:38American Doomsday threat.
- 12:42That'll take out 500 miles around it and
- 12:44puts us right on the edge. Great. Thanks
- 12:46a lot. But the factual line should be
- 12:50for us that uh
- 12:52perhaps
- 12:53you know, several generations from now,
- 12:56but there's no current official sign.
- 13:00Official, they're all hiding themselves
- 13:02in the bunkers and leaving us to fry.
- 13:05Uh [snorts] that Yellowstone is moving
- 13:07toward eruption. Missouri's pretty far
- 13:09from Yellowstone.
- 13:11But not beyond consequences in a super
- 13:14eruption scenario. Historic Yellowstone
- 13:18ash beds by the way, reached across the
- 13:21continent.
- 13:24And regional ashfall models are exactly
- 13:27why Yellowstone is
- 13:30terrifying to some of us.
- 13:33Some just some of us. But according to
- 13:35the USGS, I mean, there's a government
- 13:37organization that we should all trust,
- 13:39right?
- 13:40Status is normal. Situation normal.
- 13:43Everything under control. Nothing to see
- 13:45here, sir. Yes, thank you. Move along.
- 13:49Move along. You know, go go die in
- 13:52peace. We're we're going to the bunker.
- 13:55>> [laughter]
- 13:55>> So, Yellowstone is a great anxiety
- 13:59button for 'Merica and for Sam.
- 14:01And there it sits.
- 14:04100,000 years sitting there quietly
- 14:06doing nothing. Every time the earth
- 14:08shakes somewhere else,
- 14:10you know, we all ask the forbidden
- 14:12question. Are we supposed to be focused
- 14:14on our death?
- 14:16Is this a prelude? Is it coming? Yeah,
- 14:19people thought that when Mount St.
- 14:20Helens went off. Remember that? Mhm.
- 14:24I was at the volcanoes on the Big Island
- 14:28in Hawaii.
- 14:29And I stayed on the Big Island the whole
- 14:32time, although most people prefer to go
- 14:33to Honolulu or Oahu or one of the other
- 14:37places and and hit all the beaches and
- 14:39stuff like that. And we flew from the
- 14:42Big Island to um
- 14:45Honolulu one day and did the you know,
- 14:47the Elvis tour, wander around that
- 14:49place, check things out. And it was
- 14:51pretty cool, but very crowded and I
- 14:53didn't really care for it. Um
- 14:56but I went back to the big I was only
- 14:57there one day. But I went back to the
- 14:59Big Island and spent a week on the Big
- 15:03Island chasing volcanoes.
- 15:05And there's it's it's Jesus, the the
- 15:07island's not very big. I mean,
- 15:09I don't remember specifically, but I I
- 15:11don't I don't think it's any larger than
- 15:13a a place like Bermuda, you know, 22 23
- 15:16miles across. I don't I don't remember.
- 15:18But I don't remember I know we drove it,
- 15:19you you several times and
- 15:21went from one end to the other
- 15:23um checking out the volcanoes and the
- 15:26cool tropical stuff and took a
- 15:28helicopter flight over over them to the
- 15:31extent that you could, but you couldn't
- 15:33because those you could not
- 15:36excuse me, could not fly over because
- 15:38they were active.
- 15:40And
- 15:41so
- 15:42uh
- 15:44I very much I mean I we rented a car
- 15:46drove all over there's tea plantations,
- 15:48coffee plantations,
- 15:50whatever alcohol they made over there I
- 15:52can't remember and they had a very nice
- 15:55little
- 15:56uh not crowded restaurants. You want a
- 15:59tourism spot that that was beautiful and
- 16:01we got a place for
- 16:02you know, my standard is I get a
- 16:05three-bedroom condo with two baths and
- 16:07uh uh
- 16:08you know, even if there's only two of us
- 16:10going you get it in
- 16:12you can rent these places on Airbnb
- 16:15style sort of things and I've been doing
- 16:17that for years cuz I like travel that
- 16:19way.
- 16:20And but it was well worth the tour.
- 16:24But as a uh
- 16:25doomsday story from Samuel for today
- 16:30uh
- 16:31civilization is built on the
- 16:34assumption
- 16:36that we're still going to be here
- 16:37tomorrow.
- 16:38>> [laughter]
- 16:39>> And if all these damn things go off,
- 16:41we'll be recreating a new G wonder what
- 16:43happened doomsday and we're all focused
- 16:46on doomsday all the movies are doomsday
- 16:48everything's doomsday these days and you
- 16:51know, we got war rumors of war nashing
- 16:54of teeth weeping and wailing what it was
- 16:56that
- 16:57I said it yesterday I think cats and
- 16:58dogs living together.
- 17:01There's all kinds of troubles going on
- 17:03in the world.
- 17:05But that is it. So the second thing I
- 17:07wanted to play for you because
- 17:09um
- 17:10do you guys
- 17:12are we have any Jethro Tull fans out
- 17:15there? So my oldest brother
- 17:17Clifford Michael the third Trap
- 17:21he um
- 17:23uh passed away uh
- 17:25several years ago uh at the age of uh
- 17:2864. He was my oldest brother. And uh
- 17:31depressing.
- 17:33And one of the smartest people on the
- 17:34damn planet. He's one of those guys that
- 17:36walk around and bump into walls. He was
- 17:38so smart. You know what I mean?
- 17:40And uh but he he was extremely
- 17:43interesting. And he he he passed away
- 17:45during COVID. And uh um
- 17:48you know, that's uh so it's about a five
- 17:51five years uh that he's been been gone.
- 17:53And he uh when we were kids, he's about
- 17:58nine 10 years older than me, I think.
- 18:02And uh
- 18:03uh
- 18:04he
- 18:06he was a a huge flute player.
- 18:10And he play I remember him, you know,
- 18:12playing the flute when we were kids. And
- 18:14uh and he would play uh Jethro Tull all
- 18:17the time. Hang on, we're going to have
- 18:18to take this.
- 18:21Hello, caller. What do you have to say
- 18:23for yourself this morning?
- 18:25>> Ron and Sam.
- 18:27>> Guten Morgen.
- 18:29>> Ah, Dobro utro.
- 18:31>> Dobro utro, kak dela? Vse normal'no u
- 18:33nas zdes' v Missuri.
- 18:35>> Ah, horosho, spasiba.
- 18:37Um net, um
- 18:39So, I only have a minute. Yes, so I
- 18:42heard you. Of course I would call in.
- 18:43You I issued a challenge, I believe.
- 18:46>> Did I? I've spoken since then. What
- 18:48happened? Are you dying? Is the world
- 18:50going? What's happening?
- 18:52>> Well, you've already told us the major
- 18:54events. Yes, we're on our way out as we
- 18:57speak.
- 18:58And of course, I being closer to
- 19:01Yellowstone than you, I'll probably go
- 19:04first. So, I'll issue this warning. It's
- 19:06not going to do you any good to have a
- 19:07bunker because you're going to be
- 19:09covered by millions of tons of hot lava.
- 19:13>> No, but I I'm far enough away. I'll I'll
- 19:16get his ash.
- 19:18>> Oh, no, no.
- 19:19>> What if I go to Florida? Is that going
- 19:20to help me at all?
- 19:22>> If the big one goes off, we're all
- 19:24screwed.
- 19:25>> Yeah, that's kind of what I was
- 19:26thinking. I saw I I have those doomsday
- 19:28things that I I downloaded years ago and
- 19:31I still watch them. Some kind of uh uh
- 19:34death series uh on unnatural events and
- 19:37I have like 30 or 40 of these on my on
- 19:40my Apple iTunes and every once in a
- 19:42while I'll go back through the threat
- 19:44matrixes and go, "You could die by a bug
- 19:47swarm." You know, and they have this bug
- 19:48swarm show that goes on for an hour and
- 19:51you go, "My god, we're going to die of
- 19:52bugs. This is crap." And uh the the
- 19:55>> news is
- 19:56>> What's the good
- 19:57>> is that if the big one goes off up in
- 20:00Yellowstone,
- 20:01you don't have to worry about being
- 20:03prepared anymore.
- 20:04>> We'd no longer have to worry about
- 20:06having a two-party system, would we?
- 20:09>> What two-party system?
- 20:11>> Democrats, Republicans.
- 20:13>> That that's a one-party system.
- 20:15>> Well, yeah, but we call it a two-party
- 20:17system, but we wouldn't have to worry
- 20:19about whether it's one or two. That
- 20:20would be gone.
- 20:21>> But that's
- 20:22that's in name only.
- 20:24>> Yes.
- 20:24>> It's It's like calling a you know, a 50
- 20:27cent piece a a half dollar. It's still
- 20:29the same.
- 20:30>> True that. True that.
- 20:33>> So,
- 20:34>> Well, are you going to try to You're I
- 20:35know what you're doing. You're trying to
- 20:36come and share my meals ready to eat. I
- 20:39got a box of like 12 of them and uh you
- 20:42know, that'll last me 12 days.
- 20:45>> I think I'll pass on those. I I've got
- 20:47to step up from that. I've got all my
- 20:49garden stuff that I can, just like
- 20:51David.
- 20:52>> Yeah.
- 20:52>> But I also have four Patriots in a real
- 20:55emergency if I'm really starving,
- 20:58then I can have the four Patriots
- 21:00freeze-dried
- 21:01>> How do you have missiles in your house?
- 21:03Patriot missiles? What are you worried
- 21:04about the big one coming?
- 21:06>> four four Patriot Food Supply. You know
- 21:09the commercials.
- 21:10>> Oh, you're you're you're you're you're
- 21:12purchasing people stuff. And what do you
- 21:15get there? Is that like some big crate
- 21:17and let's advertise for them. Is it
- 21:19worthwhile?
- 21:21>> Yeah, you get it well, I don't know how
- 21:22long
- 21:22>> What's it do for your water? What do you
- 21:24got to do?
- 21:25>> You have to add water to all of it.
- 21:27That's why I like my my homemade canned
- 21:30because you can have all your vegetables
- 21:34that are already in water cuz you can
- 21:36them.
- 21:37>> And then you have some salty water to
- 21:39add everything to.
- 21:41>> Well, you know, along the lines of uh
- 21:45being prepared, you know, the LDS church
- 21:47put out 10 million pounds of I'm sure
- 21:50you've seen that all over YouTube.
- 21:52The sad truth about that is that
- 21:55>> Well, 10 million pounds of what? What
- 21:57are they doing?
- 21:57>> Of food. Of food that they send to food
- 22:00banks all over the US.
- 22:01>> They just send away food?
- 22:04>> No, yeah, they send it all to food banks
- 22:07>> they sending it to me? That's some crap.
- 22:09You know, they send it out to these food
- 22:10banks. I don't want to go to food bank.
- 22:12Well, they should just mail it to my
- 22:13house.
- 22:15>> Well, they probably could. They do have
- 22:17an online store, you know.
- 22:19>> I see.
- 22:20Uh you know what I was doing yesterday?
- 22:22I was uh using um AI. It's a damn good
- 22:26thing that somebody we know uh uh
- 22:29educated me that AI actually exists. I
- 22:32mean, I'm the
- 22:33>> My own family member that's on the
- 22:35cutting edge of
- 22:36>> Oh, he knows everything about AI. If you
- 22:39had any questions.
- 22:41Indeed. You you must The fact that it's
- 22:43I I didn't even know how to spell AI.
- 22:46And uh look at me now. I used it last
- 22:49night to go back and and I was just
- 22:51curious cuz I I wanted to uh
- 22:54to do my own form of genealogy, right?
- 23:00>> Oh.
- 23:00>> And and
- 23:02you can go on
- 23:04>> AI
- 23:05and so Lana
- 23:08couple of years ago I may have told you
- 23:10this. She she she got her DNA done.
- 23:14And when we went to Russia and oh she
- 23:17said so she's Tatar first of all but
- 23:19she's also she has stuff that came from
- 23:21Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. It puts
- 23:24every part of her European heritage
- 23:26together and where where she came from
- 23:28and all that. And then it gives you a
- 23:30list of your living current relatives.
- 23:33And she was sitting there and I was like
- 23:35what are you doing? And she starts
- 23:37communicating these people all over the
- 23:39world. She's getting invited to people's
- 23:41houses. She's in Egypt right now as you
- 23:43know and she's getting invited to
- 23:45people's houses. We went to Moscow and
- 23:47while we were in the train station in
- 23:49Moscow going to take a trip off
- 23:51somewhere and we were going to be there
- 23:53four five hours waiting for the the leg
- 23:56to take us to the next spot. And one of
- 23:58her relatives who
- 24:00showed up brought her gifts.
- 24:03Brought her stuff. I mean they acted
- 24:05like they'd known each other for years
- 24:06and they get together. They we went into
- 24:09the restaurant next door. I bought the
- 24:11woman lunch and we just sat. I mean what
- 24:13a great way to meet people and you and
- 24:15she's meeting family all over the world.
- 24:17She's got like a list of like 200
- 24:19relatives that are currently living and
- 24:21she's just going down the list and
- 24:22picking them out and just calling them
- 24:23out of the blue and get they gives you
- 24:25their contact. It's freaking nuts.
- 24:28>> Yes, 1200 relatives recently uploaded
- 24:32their information. Third, fourth, fifth,
- 24:34sixth cousins. Do you know who is in the
- 24:36list of our famous ancestors? The King
- 24:39of Portugal.
- 24:40>> It's me.
- 24:41>> King of Wales.
- 24:42>> I am the most famous. Didn't you
- 24:44realize?
- 24:44>> Queen Elizabeth. Uh John Wayne.
- 24:47>> Me great me. Me great me.
- 24:50>> I will send you the link because
- 24:52ancestry.com. We just found it over the
- 24:54weekend and we are related to
- 24:58uh presidents probably about
- 25:0120-something presidents.
- 25:03>> Well, I'm supposed to be the next one,
- 25:05but so far it's not going very well. You
- 25:08know, I had a I had a deadline.
- 25:10Yeah, I had a deadline for when it was
- 25:12going to happen, but so far I got
- 25:14nothing.
- 25:15>> Yeah, no one else got the memo on that.
- 25:17>> No, there there is but but what I
- 25:19thought I would do last night I started
- 25:22I said, you know, I'm going to go
- 25:23backward and I went backward all the way
- 25:25to
- 25:27Peter something Trapp who was born in
- 25:30Reading, Ohio.
- 25:31>> It was actually Peter von Trapp.
- 25:33>> Actually, well well, I don't know about
- 25:35that, but but because I haven't found
- 25:37that part yet.
- 25:37>> Peter Trapp in the 1800s.
- 25:40>> 1817 born in Cincinnati Reading, Ohio.
- 25:43>> 1845. Yeah, that's Peter Trapp, yeah.
- 25:46>> Yeah, and he was he was 1817 in Reading.
- 25:48Now, the the there I'm I'm on a mission
- 25:50here because I want to put together
- 25:52father to son father to son to give to
- 25:54my own kids, right? And and go back and
- 25:57find out where these a-holes came from.
- 25:58And so far we're all in and I know mom's
- 26:01got most of this stuff, but but I feel
- 26:03like
- 26:04>> I have it.
- 26:04>> Well, cool. Then you should give it to
- 26:06me, but I feel like I want to do it
- 26:07myself anyway because when I find out
- 26:09who came over first, I'm going to go
- 26:12over to Germany, Austria, or wherever
- 26:15and go to the church where they're done
- 26:17and find their records in there. And I
- 26:18want to do it in person. That's what I
- 26:20want to do.
- 26:21>> of those have burned down um yes, even
- 26:25prior to World War II. However, however,
- 26:28I have a lot of interesting material and
- 26:31um I will send you the link.
- 26:33>> Well, cool. Let Let us chat about that
- 26:35later. I actually have two other topics
- 26:37I need to speak about. I very much
- 26:39appreciate you calling in.
- 26:41And I have to I have to I was just
- 26:42talking about Jethro Tull and our uh
- 26:45dearly departed and esteemed oldest
- 26:48brother Clifford Michael III.
- 26:50>> to him
- 26:51>> And his uh
- 26:53and his
- 26:54>> You know he's a flat-earther, right?
- 26:56>> Yeah, I know. And
- 26:57he was. And and his
- 26:59Well, I don't blame him. I think the
- 27:01world's flat, too.
- 27:02Yeah. And and well
- 27:03>> I have been leaning in that direction,
- 27:05but I want to know what somebody
- 27:07wouldn't be talking about what's going
- 27:08on in Antarctica.
- 27:10>> He knew that stuff. I'm Well, I don't
- 27:12know enough about that, but I'm going
- 27:13there. So, Lana and I were supposed to
- 27:15take a cruise down there. You so you go
- 27:17down to something de Fuego or something
- 27:19Isles de Fuego and you can take a cruise
- 27:21and go to Antarctica.
- 27:23>> Yes, it's true. Like we've actually
- 27:25looked into it.
- 27:26>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, we looked into it,
- 27:27too. And I was like, you know what I'd
- 27:29rather do? I'd rather pay You can spend
- 27:31Get this.
- 27:32$16,000
- 27:35and take a 6-month
- 27:37world cruise.
- 27:39>> Wow.
- 27:40>> For $16,000.
- 27:42Now, think about that. 6 months That's
- 27:44$2,000 a month. You can't live on that
- 27:47in paying for freaking Mid-Missouri for
- 27:50God's sake.
- 27:50>> Yep. Yep, you can't do it.
- 27:52>> 16 grand. So, no wonder I have an I know
- 27:55a guy I have an acquaintance, a guy who
- 27:58uh
- 27:58>> There are actual people that actually do
- 28:00live on cruise
- 28:01>> This guy lives 3 weeks out of 4 at least
- 28:05on the cruise ship and they pay him to
- 28:07gamble. And so he goes and and he plays
- 28:11uh uh
- 28:11you know, Texas Hold 'em and and plays
- 28:14in
- 28:15boat tournaments, gets on a different
- 28:16boat every week.
- 28:18And you know, he's not he's not like uh
- 28:21You know, if he plays more he can get up
- 28:22to the top, but he he can stay for free.
- 28:24Just go gamble.
- 28:27I think I'm I'm I'm changing my evil
- 28:29ways. And if you have internet, jeez,
- 28:31you can work from anywhere.
- 28:33>> Yeah, that's true. And most people do
- 28:35anymore.
- 28:36>> And I'm going to get eaten by a shark
- 28:37anyway, so I might as well get on a ship
- 28:40and uh
- 28:41>> Well, did you notice shark attacks are
- 28:42up as well? So, they must know
- 28:44something.
- 28:45>> Oh, they know something. I'm telling
- 28:46you. And uh
- 28:48I'm anti-shark still. But I have a shark
- 28:52suit and I won't even get in the ocean.
- 28:54And I still have a shark suit.
- 28:55>> to Maui, I stayed on the beach while
- 28:58Matthew swam. And I Matthew said, "What
- 29:01are you doing over there? Come in the
- 29:02water." I said, He said, "Come on, what
- 29:04are you doing?" I said, "I'm just
- 29:06looking for all the shark attacks on
- 29:07Maui."
- 29:08>> Yeah, do you know what this Do you know
- 29:09what caused this for us? I'll tell you
- 29:11what. It's It's being at the It's Jaws,
- 29:13the freaking movie, at the drive-in,
- 29:16laying on top of our station wagons. Do
- 29:19you remember that?
- 29:20I was freaking scared to death, laying
- 29:23on top of the freaking car.
- 29:25Uh-uh. Well, I did. I've done I've done
- 29:27it at the Great Barrier Reef and I've
- 29:28done it in Grand Cayman and a couple
- 29:30other places. Oh, I did it in Bermuda
- 29:33during a hurricane Andrew. That was
- 29:34freaking crazy.
- 29:36>> Nope. Nope.
- 29:38Yeah, I actually paddle boarded over a a
- 29:41shark down in uh
- 29:43Where was it? It was awful.
- 29:45>> Ha-ha.
- 29:45>> I don't know, but I remain uninterested
- 29:47in uh in in being eaten by shark while
- 29:50alive. I've instructed my children that
- 29:52when I kick the bucket, when I shuffle
- 29:54off the molten coil, when I join the
- 29:56bleeding choir invisible,
- 29:59then I wish to be baked in an oven,
- 30:01turned into ash, and distributed to the
- 30:04sharks. Uh you know, you can go out in
- 30:06your little paddle boat, get on a paddle
- 30:08board, go out You don't have to go too
- 30:09far. Just don't get your own leg eaten
- 30:11off in the meantime. And just deposit me
- 30:14there.
- 30:15>> my ashes all over um Montana so the
- 30:19wolves can get me and the bears.
- 30:21>> Well, I'm anti that, too.
- 30:23>> want them to get me while I'm alive.
- 30:25That's just too icky.
- 30:26>> No wonder I'm I'm jeez, I I have
- 30:28paranoia issues. Anyway, I'm going to
- 30:30get back to uh Jethro Tull and I'm going
- 30:33to play him and it's a good thing I've
- 30:36figured out how to spell A I. If I If I
- 30:39learned it since I since I suddenly
- 30:40learned how to spell
- 30:41>> our younger brother for that and our
- 30:43older brother
- 30:45>> for being a genius. He was a bit weird,
- 30:47but he was a genius.
- 30:49>> Yeah, he was very strange.
- 30:51>> Very, very cool. At any rate, his I went
- 30:54and saw Well, I shall let you go. How
- 30:56about that?
- 30:57>> Okay. That's great.
- 30:58>> day. See you.
- 30:59>> All right.
- 31:00>> And there she goes. Well, that that was
- 31:03nice. You know, my leg hasn't been eaten
- 31:05by a shark yet and I've had three
- 31:07opportunities.
- 31:08And so far, not I'm doing pretty well.
- 31:11But, my brother was a huge Jethro fan
- 31:14Jethro Tull fan and I remember him
- 31:17playing his guitar, dancing around the
- 31:18room and and doing stuff like that. He
- 31:21uh uh
- 31:22gave me my love of Jethro Tull. When I
- 31:26several years ago,
- 31:28my children got me for my birthday a
- 31:31uh concert tickets for two
- 31:33and I took some little country western
- 31:35girl. It's pretty funny. Took a country
- 31:37western girl to the
- 31:39uh uh Fox uh Theater in uh
- 31:43uh St. Louis. Very nice. I like to go
- 31:45there around Christmas time. I'm going
- 31:46to look
- 31:47You know, I like to go see uh uh
- 31:49Christmas Carol and get all dressed up
- 31:51and go down there and have dinner on the
- 31:52hill, stuff like that. That that's a fun
- 31:55uh Christmas
- 31:56event. And then I I I also like to go
- 31:58spend the weekend and one day do the
- 32:00Botanical Garden Christmas deal and
- 32:02whatnot. That's kind of fun, too.
- 32:04And uh wander around, get uh spicy
- 32:06eggnog and uh uh glue vine and drinking
- 32:09your glue vine. I love that stuff. And
- 32:12uh anyway, um I've been to the Fox
- 32:14Theater quite a few times, generally at
- 32:16Christmas time. But, this was the Jethro
- 32:17Tull 50th Anniversary Concert. Dude was
- 32:20in his 70s. I I want to say 70 75
- 32:24when he was playing and uh it was good
- 32:26stuff. Well,
- 32:28for our break today, we're going to take
- 32:30a tiny bit of a break and uh uh there's
- 32:32a
- 32:33an appropriate Jethro Tull song that's
- 32:37titled Pibroch. P I B R O C H and this
- 32:43I believe came from the Songs from the
- 32:46Wood album. It's possible. But he played
- 32:49it at everyone and he would pronounce it
- 32:53a little bit differently
- 32:57than than we would they would call it
- 33:00and my brother explained it to me
- 33:01because I just didn't know the history
- 33:04of Jethro Tull and of course he did and
- 33:06could play every bit of flute on every
- 33:08song that was Jethro Tull and he did it
- 33:11very very well and he could even do the
- 33:12dancing around like some sprite and and
- 33:16do that which he often did. Those are
- 33:17the things I remember the most about my
- 33:19brother who was quite a bit older than
- 33:21me from when I was a little kid and I
- 33:22just used to love to watch it and to
- 33:24listen to it and but he was always a bit
- 33:27on the odd side.
- 33:29And he
- 33:31taught me that the song which is Pibroch
- 33:35Cap in Hand spelled P I B R O C H is
- 33:39actually announced or
- 33:41pronounced
- 33:43Pibroch Pibroch because it's they take
- 33:46it for the Pibroch. It's a song that
- 33:48allows them all to go and take their pee
- 33:53break in the middle of the concert and
- 33:55so that is how they play it and we're
- 33:57going to
- 33:58do something similar right here but I
- 34:00have a coffee fix I'm going to go take
- 34:02care of during our pee break. Pibroch
- 34:05Cap in Hand 2003 remastered version here
- 34:10for you at International
- 34:13Flavour if I can ever get it to pull up
- 34:16appropriately and not be crappy version.
- 34:20We want it all to be just perfect for
- 34:22us.

- 41:52I turn
- 41:54and walk away.
- 41:55>> [music]
- 42:00>> Hey.
- 42:01>> [music]
- 42:08[music]
- 42:13>> Ooh.
- 42:14>> [music]
- 42:19[music]
- 42:54>> And there it went.
- 42:57So that was Jethro Tull, of course, the
- 42:59great, the fabulous Jethro Tull.
- 43:02And uh the song was Pibroch Cap in Hand.
- 43:07Uh put my cap on my head
- 43:09I turn and walk away.
- 43:13Strange
- 43:16strange boots by the fire.
- 43:19Mhm, [clears throat]
- 43:20that cause you to walk away, too.
- 43:22Everybody needs a good pee break then,
- 43:24don't they?
- 43:25Yep, when that occurs, you definitely
- 43:27need a pee break. Pee break brought
- 43:28[clears throat] to you by me and by Dam
- 43:31Radio. There 'tis. Um let's see.
- 43:35Now let us begin in the middle because
- 43:37we already began at the beginning. And I
- 43:40actually watched a uh Medvedev And I
- 43:44like watching uh uh
- 43:47Medvedev. Um
- 43:49He's a great guy.
- 43:50And um
- 43:52Dmitri, uh
- 43:53he's he's pretty damn uh
- 43:56um
- 44:00He's a pretty blunt dude. And and and I
- 44:03like he was president one term. Let's
- 44:05see, was it So so was president for like
- 44:09from 2000 to 2005 and then
- 44:12Medvedev was president for a term and
- 44:15and Putin's been one ever since and he's
- 44:18If you think you're getting somebody
- 44:19better when you take the younger
- 44:20Medvedev who has every likelihood of
- 44:23being the next one.
- 44:26Um
- 44:27I suppose that's
- 44:29Perhaps you should get to know him
- 44:31because if you think things are going to
- 44:33change, forget it. If you think
- 44:36By the way, no matter who it is,
- 44:38Russia is Russia and and
- 44:41the government is one thing, the the
- 44:43people are another. And the government
- 44:46is going to continue just much like Iran
- 44:49has joined as continued.
- 44:52Mhm.
- 44:54See that during pee break I was able to
- 44:56go and brew myself a fresh coffee from
- 44:58the old Keurig machine.
- 45:00Throw a couple of fake creamers in there
- 45:03>> [snorts]
- 45:03>> and uh
- 45:04there you go. Medvedev is a useful guy
- 45:07to listen to though because he removes
- 45:09the diplomacy.
- 45:12Lavrov is a legal the one we we followed
- 45:15him yesterday. He talks about
- 45:17things from a diplomatic and from a
- 45:19legal perspective.
- 45:20Um
- 45:22Medvedev is nice to watch cuz he's like
- 45:24a battering ram. He's he's
- 45:27you know, just somebody that tells you
- 45:28the warnings, tells you, "Well, you
- 45:30know, fine. Quit being Quit being
- 45:32a-holes and you wouldn't have to do
- 45:33this." So, Medvedev is deliberately, in
- 45:37my opinion, inflammatory.
- 45:40His rhetoric is often designed to
- 45:43pressure
- 45:45Western
- 45:46people like me, the public, rather than
- 45:49describe actual Russian decision-making
- 45:51processes. Those decisions are made
- 45:53slowly, deliberately, with the Lavrovs
- 45:56and Putins of the world. They don't they
- 45:58don't act quickly. They just don't. And
- 46:01so, Western policy
- 46:04repeatedly goes in the wrong direction.
- 46:07And in in in in a direction that creates
- 46:11an enemy that doesn't exist in Russia.
- 46:13Now, I believe this, too. From a
- 46:15personal, from a political, from an
- 46:17individual level, when you go to Russia,
- 46:19the people are fantastic. They don't
- 46:20have any horror, they don't hate
- 46:22America. They wonder why we hate them.
- 46:25But
- 46:26and they wonder why everybody hates
- 46:27them. They they shouldn't. We should
- 46:29envy them. They've got they've got a
- 46:31great country, great uh
- 46:33great clean cities. Um it's it's a very
- 46:36good country.
- 46:38And
- 46:39they're
- 46:41I I don't know. They have They have
- 46:44Everybody has their issues. You know
- 46:46what I mean? Everybody does. You know,
- 46:47you you If you found Mr. Perfection,
- 46:50he's actually my brother. It's not me,
- 46:51you know.
- 46:53Well, there's only one perfect person on
- 46:55the planet that actually speaks to God,
- 46:57apparently. And God speaks back. That's
- 47:00the scary part.
- 47:02>> [laughter]
- 47:03>> He's only talking to my brother. This is
- 47:06loony. And
- 47:08at any rate, all the perfect people are
- 47:10are dead ages and ages ago, you know,
- 47:13biblical times, those good ones are are
- 47:15done. And the uh
- 47:17fact is, there's only one perfect soul
- 47:19left on the planet, and he happens to be
- 47:22related to me.
- 47:23Uh but the Everybody has their problems.
- 47:28Um
- 47:29Western policy
- 47:32continually
- 47:34is
- 47:35against Russia. And and and that's
- 47:38basically he was reiterating a lot of
- 47:41the same things that
- 47:43Lavrov said in his speeches yesterday,
- 47:48both about um
- 47:50um
- 47:55What do you call it? His approach to
- 47:58things in Belarus, his approach to
- 48:00things in Ukraine. It's
- 48:04uh
- 48:05it's interesting because the the world
- 48:08is waking up to this. There's a There's
- 48:10a story that came out yesterday about
- 48:12Russia and ASEAN ASEAN
- 48:18uh
- 48:19countries should deepen cooperation
- 48:22especially amid US sanctions. And this
- 48:24came from Indonesia, from may a an
- 48:27Indonesian professor who who wrote this
- 48:30article. And it's
- 48:34it's
- 48:38If we don't start paying attention to
- 48:39other sections of the world that that
- 48:41get to talk, I I think we're going to be
- 48:43we are in in danger of being somewhat
- 48:46left behind. Um
- 48:48I I know several people who believe that
- 48:52the finances of the United States are
- 48:55collapsing. And I've spoken to a couple
- 48:57of And And I mean seriously collapsing
- 49:00even as we speak that the 40 trillion is
- 49:03actually a
- 49:05a
- 49:07bridge too far. It's
- 49:09You can And I've been thinking about
- 49:11this for a while, but
- 49:13I've always thought that what Okay, debt
- 49:16is an important thing and our GDP isn't
- 49:19even 40 trillion dollars a year.
- 49:23>> [laughter]
- 49:24>> You know what I mean? It's It's
- 49:26nonsense. Our debt is larger than our
- 49:28GDP. It's The interest You can't pay it.
- 49:31This is unsustainable.
- 49:33And people really are bailing from
- 49:36buying more US debt. Somebody needed to
- 49:39stop us ages ago, and they never did.
- 49:42They never did.
- 49:46And our politicians just keep on
- 49:48trucking with it. And so other countries
- 49:50are seeking alternatives. BRICS, ASEAN,
- 49:54and others. You know, Moscow says
- 49:56Southeast Asia, the Southeast Asian
- 49:58nations. Uh Association of Southeast
- 50:01Asian Nations is what that means, by the
- 50:03way. And this Indonesian professor is
- 50:06like, you know, we're the fastest
- 50:07growing
- 50:09place on the planet, and that's true.
- 50:11And
- 50:14uh
- 50:17I'm not quite sure how
- 50:19The fact is, the world's changed no
- 50:21matter how you look at it. The world is
- 50:24changing. And AI's changing it even
- 50:26faster. And so, there's all kinds of
- 50:30Nobody wants their eggs in one basket
- 50:32anymore. And then you see what's going
- 50:35on with Trump and company doing what he
- 50:37thinks is the smart thing to do. Seize
- 50:40all the means of production, especially
- 50:42of energy and oil and AI.
- 50:46And uh but it's not going as planned,
- 50:49unfortunately. And so, there's there's
- 50:52much to talk about. I'm going to suggest
- 50:54that you have a look at this article if
- 50:58you can.
- 50:59This article came out. It's called
- 51:01Russia and ASEAN should deepen
- 51:02cooperation. The
- 51:04What's the professor's name? Yeah.
- 51:07He is uh
- 51:11Teuku Rezasyah.
- 51:14He argues that many of the group's
- 51:16members are questioning Washington
- 51:19and its ability to support regional
- 51:21growth.
- 51:22And they've maintained ties in those
- 51:25areas. Russia, China, India, the other
- 51:28ASEAN countries, Iran,
- 51:31Afghanistan, all of those places over
- 51:33there. Kyrgyzstan,
- 51:36Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, all of them.
- 51:39They are all part of this association.
- 51:42And they're all growing
- 51:44quickly, astronomically, and not
- 51:47controlled by the United States in the
- 51:49fact that now 96%
- 51:51or more of the trade between Russia and
- 51:54China is done in the Yuan or the Ruble
- 51:59and some 50 it's it's it's a large
- 52:02percent. It it's a I don't think it's
- 52:04quite 50 just yet, but the the trade
- 52:08between India and Russia is going on in
- 52:11the Rupee and the Ruble is also a huge
- 52:14deal. And I think I'd I'd like to share
- 52:17this story. It was published today. It's
- 52:20this professor spell his name r e z a s
- 52:24y a h is how you spell his name.
- 52:27And there's plenty more to go through
- 52:29today and so I wanted to kind of speed
- 52:31up a little, but that talks about
- 52:34especially amid the sanctions because
- 52:37that's how you eliminate the effect of
- 52:38the sanctions
- 52:39is you work outside of the sanctions
- 52:41system. It's happening anyway. It's
- 52:43coming.
- 52:47Russia, Iran, others Venezuela have been
- 52:50doing it forever already. And you know,
- 52:53the the globalist still think they're in
- 52:55charge, but let's talk about some
- 52:57speaking of globalists. Let's go to Von
- 53:00der Leyen. Here's here's your globalist.
- 53:02She she's
- 53:04unelected. Okay, let's let's talk about
- 53:07this. She's being investigated now over
- 53:09her secret group chat with Zelensky.
- 53:12Okay, the communications include
- 53:15Chancellor Merz, French President
- 53:17Macron,
- 53:19Italian PM Meloni and the outgoing UK
- 53:23Prime Minister Starmer. An EU watchdog
- 53:27is investigating European Commission
- 53:29President Ursula von der Leyen over a
- 53:32secret group chat with Zelensky and
- 53:35several other European leaders according
- 53:37to the Dutch outlet called follow the
- 53:40money FTM.
- 53:42It's a a pretty cool website, by the
- 53:44way.
- 53:45The probe follows a complaint by FTM
- 53:49after the European Commission refused to
- 53:51release messages from a private group
- 53:53chat, reportedly including Chancellor
- 53:56Friedrich Merz,
- 53:58French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime
- 54:01Minister Giorgia Meloni, who wanted a
- 54:03photo with with Trump. Please take a
- 54:05selfie with me, Mr. Trump, allegedly.
- 54:08And Kier Starmer, outgoing genius of of
- 54:13Great Britain. What's that What's uh
- 54:14Alex Christopher will call him? 008.
- 54:17He's 008.
- 54:19The Commission reportedly argued that
- 54:21disclosure of these texts could harm the
- 54:23EU's relations with third countries.
- 54:26Wonder if they're talking about the old
- 54:28Trumpster.
- 54:29In a letter sent to the Commission last
- 54:31week, and cited by the outlet on
- 54:33Wednesday, European Ombudsman Teresa
- 54:35Engel reported reported that she had
- 54:38opened an inquiry into the refusal to
- 54:40grant access to the communication.
- 54:43Engel said the probe would examine
- 54:45whether the Commission complied with EU
- 54:47transparency rules when it rejected the
- 54:49request. She also asked to meet
- 54:51Commission representatives by mid-July,
- 54:54said FTM. The group chat, dubbed the
- 54:57Washington Group, was first reported on
- 55:00by Politico in January, citing people
- 55:02familiar with the matter. Oh, that's
- 55:04always a good one. People familiar with
- 55:06the matter. Well, I'm familiar with the
- 55:08matter. This is nonsense. You can have
- 55:09me telling you about it. Politico wrote
- 55:12at the time that participants had spent
- 55:14the previous year exchanging messages
- 55:16whenever President Trump did what they
- 55:19viewed as something wild and potentially
- 55:22damaging.
- 55:23>> [laughter]
- 55:24>> According to media reports, the group
- 55:25was originally set up in response to the
- 55:28Ukraine conflict. There's a surprise.
- 55:31The reported inquiries are the latest in
- 55:33a series of controversies involving von
- 55:35der Leyen and the commission's handling
- 55:38of official records last year, the EU's
- 55:41General Court ruled that the commission
- 55:44had improperly handled a request by The
- 55:46New York Times seeking access to text
- 55:49messages exchanged between Von der Leyen
- 55:52and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla during
- 55:56negotiations over the bloc's COVID-19
- 55:58vaccine contracts. The commission later
- 56:00pledged to review its record-keeping
- 56:03practices. Oh, really?
- 56:05Earlier this month, NGO criticized the
- 56:07deletion of a text message sent by
- 56:09Macron regarding the EU's proposed trade
- 56:12agreement with South America's Mercosur
- 56:15block.
- 56:17The commission declined to release the
- 56:19massage in response to a freedom of
- 56:21information request saying it had been
- 56:25auto-deleted.
- 56:27Following a conclave by FTM Follow the
- 56:30Money, the ombudsman concluded the
- 56:32message had been deleted unlawfully and
- 56:35called on the commission to improve the
- 56:36preservation and archiving of official
- 56:39communications,
- 56:41including text messages.
- 56:45Geez.
- 56:46They're hiding stuff, people. They're
- 56:48hiding stuff from us. Oh, no. Sluggo,
- 56:53what are we going to do?
- 56:55Oh, boy.
- 56:57>> [sighs]
- 56:58>> Germany, meanwhile, has
- 57:02Did they sank it or they sunk it? It has
- 57:04been sunk. It has
- 57:07the the the project is sunk.
- 57:10But, the way they say it, Germany sinks
- 57:13Von der Leyen's $18 billion pet warship
- 57:18project. Is that warship or war ship?
- 57:21Hmm. The procurement of six F126
- 57:25warships was terminated due to
- 57:28significant delay and enormous cost
- 57:31increase, said the Defense Ministry.
- 57:35Germany has pulled the plug on its
- 57:37largest naval shipbuilding project since
- 57:41the end of World War II.
- 57:45Hmm.
- 57:47Militarization of Germany proceeds at
- 57:49record pace, says Samuel.
- 57:52But the largest project since the end of
- 57:54World War II scrapped plans for a fleet
- 57:56of six F126 frigates first ordered under
- 58:00then Defense Minister of Germany, Ursula
- 58:03von der Leyen.
- 58:05The plans to axe the project were first
- 58:07reported by Der Spiegel on Tuesday,
- 58:11which said the program had long been
- 58:12plagued by numerous issues. Kind of like
- 58:16high-speed rail in California. Hmm,
- 58:18curious. The government's doing it,
- 58:20therefore you know it's cocked up,
- 58:22right? The Ministry confirmed the move
- 58:25the next day saying it was
- 58:28due to significant delay, enormous cost
- 58:31increase, and incalculable risk.
- 58:35Risk can always be calculated. It's Oh,
- 58:38I usually turn off the phone, but I have
- 58:41people phoning me.
- 58:43But I'm doing a program. We cannot speak
- 58:45to them whilst we are They can call in
- 58:47on the show. How about them apples,
- 58:50friends and neighbors?
- 58:52It is also completing six F126s
- 58:58that the it notes that that would would
- 59:01have driven the total cost above the 18
- 59:03billion set aside for it to 20.3 billion
- 59:07compared to the initial estimate of 5.27
- 59:10billion for four such vessels.
- 59:14This is criminal. It's It's like
- 59:17How do How do these people get away with
- 59:20it? Oh, it's just a budget overrun. Give
- 59:22us another several billion.
- 59:24You know, Trump's asking for 81 more 88
- 59:27billion. There's another huge billions
- 59:29they need for war in Iran.
- 59:32Isn't that crazy?
- 59:34Oh, launched in 2020 under von der
- 59:37Leyen, the F126 program was the largest
- 59:40warship pro- project in modern German
- 59:43Navy history, displacing 10,500 tons and
- 59:47stretching 166 m. Big enough to stay at
- 59:50sea for 2 years, the vessel was designed
- 59:53to be highly versatile, capable of roles
- 59:56ranging from submarine hunting to
- 59:58supporting special forces and drone
- 1:00:01operations. The contract was initially
- 1:00:04awarded to the Dutch Damen Schelde Naval
- 1:00:06Shipbuilding Yard, but the project
- 1:00:08quickly stalled as the company struggled
- 1:00:10to transfer ship design data to the
- 1:00:12production system used by the German
- 1:00:13shipyards and suppliers due to
- 1:00:16incompatible software.
- 1:00:20You don't check that [ __ ] out first, you
- 1:00:22bunch of loonies? Costs already started
- 1:00:26ballooning, which they do in government
- 1:00:27projects, as early as 2019, even before
- 1:00:30the contract went to DSNS with then left
- 1:00:33party MP Matthias Höhn calling the
- 1:00:35project a money pit. You ever seen that
- 1:00:38movie? Uh, Tom Hanks, Money Pit, and uh,
- 1:00:40what's her name? Shelley something. Uh,
- 1:00:42around the same time, the ministry's
- 1:00:44tendering process drew its own
- 1:00:46controversy. Oh my god, their funding
- 1:00:49their tender process was flawed. Hmm.
- 1:00:53von der Leyen's office came under
- 1:00:56accusation of tolerating nepotism,
- 1:00:59cronyism. You always have to throw in
- 1:01:02rascalism if you have seen uh, O
- 1:01:05Brother, Where Art Thou? when you hear
- 1:01:07words like that, cronyism. Um,
- 1:01:09giving lucrative, largely uncompetitive
- 1:01:13contracts to the McKinsey consultancy.
- 1:01:17Critics point to the fact that Katrin
- 1:01:19Suder, then state secretary of the
- 1:01:21defense ministry was herself a veteran
- 1:01:24McKinsey employee. A later federal audit
- 1:01:27found that in most cases the ministry
- 1:01:29failed to justify why external
- 1:01:32consultants were even necessary.
- 1:01:35>> [laughter]
- 1:01:36>> That's what you do. You just call it a
- 1:01:38consulting fee, throw yourself a
- 1:01:40consultant in there, pay him a billion
- 1:01:42bucks, and suddenly your project gets to
- 1:01:43go underwater. But the consultant ends
- 1:01:46up wealthy and he passes the money back
- 1:01:48to you. That's how it works.
- 1:01:51Determination of the project is a severe
- 1:01:54blow to Rheinmetall with shares plunging
- 1:01:5617% in the stock's worst single day fall
- 1:02:00in years.
- 1:02:02Time to put money into it now, right?
- 1:02:05The first four frigates would have cost
- 1:02:06around 6.3 billion billion with an
- 1:02:08option for another four more around 5.3
- 1:02:11billion if exercised by the end of 2026
- 1:02:14pending approval from the Bundestag's
- 1:02:16budget committee.
- 1:02:18The termination of the controversial
- 1:02:20project comes as Germany carries out its
- 1:02:22largest militarization campaign in
- 1:02:24decades.
- 1:02:26With 2026 defense budget at
- 1:02:30108
- 1:02:32billion euro. Germany and other nations
- 1:02:35have cited the supposed Russian threat
- 1:02:38to justify this build-up. Moscow
- 1:02:40dismisses the speculation that it plans
- 1:02:42to attack NATO as
- 1:02:45nonsense. You know the word for
- 1:02:47nonsense, Polanski?
- 1:02:48It is chepukha. Chepukha is nonsense.
- 1:02:52Nonsense. Oh, chepukha. Nonsense. What?
- 1:02:56There you go.
- 1:02:57Anyway, that was a fun little story with
- 1:02:59Ursula von der Leyen taking a beating
- 1:03:02yet again.
- 1:03:04Poor her. You know, why do people attack
- 1:03:06her so much? Well, I don't know. Maybe
- 1:03:08it's because she's an unelected empress.
- 1:03:11She has created herself as the empress
- 1:03:14of the EU. She She is in charge by God.
- 1:03:18And don't you forget about it. Don't you
- 1:03:20forget about me. I had one more story.
- 1:03:23This one's a little more local.
- 1:03:26Uh
- 1:03:27US, you know, what here we are an
- 1:03:29international flavor. I give you an
- 1:03:30international perspective, but
- 1:03:33there's uh
- 1:03:35I'm watching this unfold on our news
- 1:03:38channels and in places like that that
- 1:03:40there was a new housing bill
- 1:03:42that there has been passed by the
- 1:03:44legislature and Trump put off signing
- 1:03:47it. And it'd be interesting to know why,
- 1:03:49but I
- 1:03:52I have a hard time because half time I
- 1:03:54think he's making it up as he goes along
- 1:03:56and it's what whatever
- 1:03:58he doesn't make any decision until he
- 1:04:01makes the decision. There's no planning
- 1:04:03involved in my opinion. It's just
- 1:04:05whatever whatever floats his boat on
- 1:04:07that particular day. And there's
- 1:04:09flexibility in that. That's an
- 1:04:11entrepreneurial spirit. So it's a I
- 1:04:13don't claim it is always a bad thing,
- 1:04:16but in politics it might be.
- 1:04:18I think that that
- 1:04:20you know, 4 years isn't long enough to
- 1:04:22get an agenda done anyway in America. 8
- 1:04:26years is rarely enough.
- 1:04:28And that a president's term should be
- 1:04:31longer than 4 years.
- 1:04:33Now you could argue that you need that
- 1:04:36flexibility on the executive branches,
- 1:04:39but it doesn't change the the GS level
- 1:04:42employees that all sit there and bake
- 1:04:46their entire career there that really
- 1:04:48run the government. Okay. Same thing in
- 1:04:51Missouri by the way.
- 1:04:53And now we'll talk about some of that
- 1:04:54tomorrow on
- 1:04:56Civic Outlaws. We've got to got to
- 1:04:59hopefully some interesting news and
- 1:05:02it should be should be going in going in
- 1:05:04today, but I've been impatient about it
- 1:05:06and I've been watching it for like a
- 1:05:08week now and I've got two we have been
- 1:05:11months actually, but but you know how
- 1:05:13you're at the end and you want to push
- 1:05:14it over the cliff and go, "Okay, now
- 1:05:16it's gone." Well,
- 1:05:18we've been on that that brink for just a
- 1:05:20little while and so anyway, we're going
- 1:05:22to talk about that. But so it was a US
- 1:05:24Housing Bill.
- 1:05:26It's called the 21st Century Road to
- 1:05:29Housing Act. Official Senate information
- 1:05:32says the Senate passed it by 85 to 5
- 1:05:36and describes it as a major housing
- 1:05:37affordability package aimed at expanding
- 1:05:40the supply, cutting red tape, protecting
- 1:05:43taxpayers, and empowering local
- 1:05:45communities to build more homes.
- 1:05:49The House Financial Services Committee
- 1:05:51described the bill as bipartisan and
- 1:05:54reported an earlier House passage by 396
- 1:05:58to 13.
- 1:06:00So, these are extremely popular among
- 1:06:04the reps and senators.
- 1:06:07I mean, that number just in itself,
- 1:06:10getting them to agree on anything is
- 1:06:12crazy and that's why you should be
- 1:06:14suspicious.
- 1:06:16If they all want it, that means the scam
- 1:06:19pays off for everybody. You know, they
- 1:06:21all get their money. Somehow everybody's
- 1:06:24making out like a fat cat, except I
- 1:06:26would assume the middle class and those
- 1:06:28of us who actually are affected by all
- 1:06:30these laws. Somebody's getting rich
- 1:06:32somewhere and it appears that
- 1:06:33everybody's getting rich somewhere if
- 1:06:36you're the cynical cuss that I am and so
- 1:06:39that's what I believe is that there's
- 1:06:41something crazy. So, the political drama
- 1:06:44is that this morning
- 1:06:46Trump canceled or delayed the signing
- 1:06:49the bill
- 1:06:51because he wants movement first on his
- 1:06:54Save America Act, a voter ID, proof of
- 1:06:57citizenship election bill. Now, frankly,
- 1:07:01I can't imagine
- 1:07:03why we've not had that anyway.
- 1:07:07You you have to have a real ID to travel
- 1:07:10somewhere, right? You don't have to.
- 1:07:12There are exceptions. I get that. You
- 1:07:14don't need to call and chew me out over
- 1:07:15that. Um, but
- 1:07:17uh,
- 1:07:18you're supposed
- 1:07:19if you've seen your new passport, you
- 1:07:21got to see the damn thing. The page
- 1:07:23where they put your, uh,
- 1:07:24chip in that that I'm they're tracking
- 1:07:26your passport if they aren't tracking
- 1:07:28you. That thing, the brand new one I
- 1:07:29just got, of course it's in the hands of
- 1:07:31the Russians right now. They still
- 1:07:33haven't gotten it back.
- 1:07:34They say I'll have it by the end of the
- 1:07:35month, but man, I I've got
- 1:07:38I need to make some plans here. And, uh,
- 1:07:41uh, I'm still missing my my, uh, visa
- 1:07:43for Russia, Mother Russia. And, uh, but
- 1:07:47I should have They say everything is in
- 1:07:48the works and it should be just fine.
- 1:07:49But, uh, this citizenship, uh, bill is
- 1:07:53important. Axios, New York Post, Times
- 1:07:56of India, and others are reporting the
- 1:07:57same standoff. Rare bipartisan housing
- 1:08:01legislation's being held up by Trump
- 1:08:03over an unrelated voting bill. And, uh,
- 1:08:06you know, I I think that's interesting.
- 1:08:09And I'm not saying I'm necessarily
- 1:08:10against it, but we shall see.
- 1:08:13Hello, caller. What may I do for you
- 1:08:15this morning?
- 1:08:19Something's going on again. You
- 1:08:22I That's not going to work. You're going
- 1:08:24to have to fix whatever it is you got
- 1:08:25going on and call back or go to a
- 1:08:27different phone line cuz, uh,
- 1:08:30just ain't working.
- 1:08:32Uh, at any rate, there you have it. Um,
- 1:08:35so what the bill does, allegedly,
- 1:08:37says it does and I haven't downloaded
- 1:08:39the whole thing yet. And, uh, getting a
- 1:08:42You know what's the beautiful part of AI
- 1:08:44anymore? If you haven't started using
- 1:08:45it, you can use it to take massive
- 1:08:47quantities of data and assess it for you
- 1:08:50or give you a quick
- 1:08:53rundown of what it really is. And I
- 1:08:55haven't taken in the whole bill yet.
- 1:08:58And, uh, and I want to because, uh, you
- 1:09:01know, I've a real estate broker in
- 1:09:02Florida and in Missouri and I do a lot
- 1:09:06of the business sorts of things and
- 1:09:08discuss people on their business and and
- 1:09:11and commercial sorts of property or
- 1:09:13investment property stuff like that. And
- 1:09:16so and and by the way CE continuing
- 1:09:19education, you got to do so many hours a
- 1:09:22year and and mine rotate. So every 2
- 1:09:24years you have to do however many hours
- 1:09:26you got to do and it's pretty cool
- 1:09:28because my Florida ones are due in odd
- 1:09:30years and my Missouri ones are due in
- 1:09:34even years. Happens to be an even year
- 1:09:37and so
- 1:09:38I have one more class to do and I was I
- 1:09:42was going to do it last night and I got
- 1:09:44started on it and then I was like
- 1:09:46cat distracted me and so I use it as an
- 1:09:48excuse to not do it. So here I am last
- 1:09:50minute got another class to do but this
- 1:09:53is this housing bill is part of that
- 1:09:55well not part of the new stuff because
- 1:09:57it hasn't been passed yet but I
- 1:09:58certainly want to know cuz anybody with
- 1:10:00real estate should definitely know what
- 1:10:02it does anyway.
- 1:10:04What it reportedly does
- 1:10:06is it's a broad housing affordability
- 1:10:09reform package and the major themes of
- 1:10:11it are to expand the housing supply
- 1:10:15to ease the regulatory barriers to
- 1:10:17building houses to improve access to
- 1:10:20mortgage and community bank lending
- 1:10:24to limit institutional private equity
- 1:10:26acquisition of single family homes. Now
- 1:10:30that
- 1:10:31I want to research more on its face it
- 1:10:33sounds
- 1:10:35positive you know to because what
- 1:10:39they're trying to do is is allow
- 1:10:41children
- 1:10:42like my children are our children but
- 1:10:44you know my my daughter's 41 I think and
- 1:10:47then
- 1:10:48we keep on going down line I guess my
- 1:10:49son is 26 and they
- 1:10:52um
- 1:10:54buying a house for them isn't like it
- 1:10:56was when I was a kid, you know, I mean
- 1:10:58it was different. I bought my first
- 1:10:59house when I got out of the military
- 1:11:01uh in Dallas.
- 1:11:03And uh well, a suburb of Dallas called
- 1:11:05Cedar Hill. And uh it was uh a pretty
- 1:11:09a pretty uh
- 1:11:10simple process. Course I'm veteran, you
- 1:11:13know, I had VA VA process to go through,
- 1:11:15it might have made it easier for it, but
- 1:11:18if you don't have have eligibility for
- 1:11:20any of those things, buying a house
- 1:11:21today and getting notes today and and
- 1:11:23and the way people make money is
- 1:11:25different and the way they get paid is
- 1:11:27different. And a lot of people work for
- 1:11:29themselves and they can never get, you
- 1:11:31know, they can't show the income
- 1:11:33necessary to buy a house or they don't
- 1:11:35have enough to put a something down. So
- 1:11:37it it it if if you can limit the
- 1:11:40institutional and private equity
- 1:11:42acquisition of single-family homes, I'm
- 1:11:44not
- 1:11:45as a principle against it immediately.
- 1:11:49But I don't want to see those places
- 1:11:51where they come in and they build
- 1:11:52cookie-cutter houses that go on for
- 1:11:54miles and all look the same and they're
- 1:11:57packed together. Like you look out your
- 1:11:59window and into the bedroom of your
- 1:12:01neighbor. It's nonsense. It and the
- 1:12:04there ought to be
- 1:12:06certain rules that go along. Anyway, I'm
- 1:12:08very interested in finding out what this
- 1:12:10does, but I'm more interested in the in
- 1:12:12the jockeying for position that's going
- 1:12:14on. So the
- 1:12:16the other part of the bill, it reforms
- 1:12:18or extends
- 1:12:20certain federal housing and disaster
- 1:12:22recovery programs. Well, this is where
- 1:12:25they hide money. And that's why all
- 1:12:29these people are for it would be my
- 1:12:31initial cynical take of it. And I'm not
- 1:12:34saying I'm against it, you know, we
- 1:12:35don't have any control over any of this
- 1:12:37stuff anyway. Those guys will do you
- 1:12:40might think you do, but you don't.
- 1:12:42>> [laughter]
- 1:12:42>> You don't control any of this. It is
- 1:12:45done by people way out of your league
- 1:12:47and and and saying things doesn't
- 1:12:50necessarily, well, very rarely help,
- 1:12:53okay? So, but the real political story
- 1:12:56is that Trump had a bipartisan win, and
- 1:12:59he's got it, and instead of taking that
- 1:13:01win, he wants to use that win for his
- 1:13:04constant art of the deal.
- 1:13:06Well,
- 1:13:07strategically,
- 1:13:09I frankly, I'm not against that. If if I
- 1:13:12think if he wants this voter ID,
- 1:13:15if you whether you support it or not,
- 1:13:17the strategic question for Trump is does
- 1:13:19linking an unrelated bill make him look
- 1:13:22strong,
- 1:13:23or does it make him look unserious about
- 1:13:26passing law? Well,
- 1:13:28I have a mixed opinion about that.
- 1:13:31I think but it's because in part of it
- 1:13:34that I support a voter ID and always
- 1:13:36have.
- 1:13:37You know, I think it's an it's a
- 1:13:39ludicrous and idiotic argument to claim,
- 1:13:43"Gee, those inner-city
- 1:13:45poor folk, the brown people can't afford
- 1:13:48a $10 ID. They have ID. They got to open
- 1:13:52a bank account, for God's sake."
- 1:13:55You know, even even the lowest of of low
- 1:13:58earning potential have to show an ID to
- 1:14:01get into places.
- 1:14:03You know how you get Okay, they have to
- 1:14:05show ID to buy their alcohol if they you
- 1:14:07know, you're saying that they they don't
- 1:14:08you know, if you believe what you
- 1:14:10believe about the inner city, you think
- 1:14:13they don't drink there?
- 1:14:14And they can't afford it? So, "Oh geez,
- 1:14:17we can't we can't require them to
- 1:14:18provide That's the biggest scam going on
- 1:14:21forever, and all of us know it. The
- 1:14:24Democrats know it, too. They just sell
- 1:14:26it to you in the way of saying it's
- 1:14:29disadvantageous
- 1:14:31to people of color, and they can't let
- 1:14:34people
- 1:14:35What it really means is people who
- 1:14:37aren't allowed to vote cannot vote.
- 1:14:41And what about a national election
- 1:14:43registry? What about that? Hell, they're
- 1:14:46going to start tracking you on your
- 1:14:47phone anyway. You know they're already
- 1:14:49trying to get Android and Apple, which
- 1:14:51they already do, to have you log in into
- 1:14:53their phone and then they know exactly
- 1:14:55where you are. So, it's not really going
- 1:14:56to save you much anyway, if you still
- 1:14:58have a phone.
- 1:15:00Unless you go buy a Huawei, which I
- 1:15:02um I've I've I've owned one and I'm
- 1:15:04thinking of buying another one, but uh
- 1:15:05the Android update that I had doesn't
- 1:15:07matter. Old story.
- 1:15:10But, think about this. Let's be a
- 1:15:11skeptic for for a minute.
- 1:15:13Housing really is a crisis, okay, for
- 1:15:16for younger people especially.
- 1:15:19Uh
- 1:15:19if Congress actually passed a bipartisan
- 1:15:22bill, one of very, very few,
- 1:15:27very few, in in in, you know, uh recent
- 1:15:32years,
- 1:15:34holding that bill hostage for a
- 1:15:37unrelated voter ID demand
- 1:15:40might look a little bit reckless or a a
- 1:15:43performance. It's a show. But, what else
- 1:15:45do you expect from Trump? He's a
- 1:15:47showman.
- 1:15:48And uh uh you know, he's he's the
- 1:15:50greatest show on Earth.
- 1:15:52And he doesn't even have to have a
- 1:15:53flying trapeze.
- 1:15:56But, Trump believes election integrity
- 1:15:58is a foundation.
- 1:16:00Frankly, uh if you believe in democracy,
- 1:16:03it should be
- 1:16:05a foundation.
- 1:16:07But, he could see the Save America Act
- 1:16:10as more important than an ordinary
- 1:16:12domestic housing bill.
- 1:16:13It'll take a while for that bill to take
- 1:16:15effect anyway or to assist the people
- 1:16:17that actually need it. If it's really
- 1:16:20for that and not for uh screwing them
- 1:16:22further and and passing out money to the
- 1:16:25rich uh in another form, which is
- 1:16:28constant anyway.
- 1:16:30So,
- 1:16:31if you take that point of view, using
- 1:16:33this as leverage, it doesn't create case
- 1:16:35uh
- 1:16:36chaos, it's playing hardball.
- 1:16:38And if you believe that Trump is the Art
- 1:16:40of the Deal master, well,
- 1:16:42it's not a not a bad uh a not a bad
- 1:16:45position to take.
- 1:16:48Uh you know, taking a position when you
- 1:16:50when you have them with something they
- 1:16:52want, why not hold it over their head?
- 1:16:55I'm not saying I would do it, but it
- 1:16:57it's not unreasonable to take that
- 1:16:59position. A lot of lawyers play that
- 1:17:01way, for sure.
- 1:17:03So, the the political mismatches is
- 1:17:06this. A lot of voters understand housing
- 1:17:08costs immediately and fights over voter
- 1:17:11ID are far more ideological and a split
- 1:17:14down the middle. Everybody gets housing
- 1:17:17cost. It's like the cost of at the pump
- 1:17:19for your gasoline. Everybody gets that.
- 1:17:23And that that's why if if uh Trump
- 1:17:26doesn't solve or figure out something
- 1:17:29about the war he and Netanyahu started
- 1:17:32in Iran, that it's such a
- 1:17:34pain for the rest of us cuz Jesus back
- 1:17:35in February we're paying 250 a gallon
- 1:17:37for gas.
- 1:17:39You know, and so
- 1:17:41people understand housing and not being
- 1:17:43able to get a home. Trust me, they get
- 1:17:45that.
- 1:17:46Where voter ID, they might not give a
- 1:17:48crap cuz you can't change the you can't
- 1:17:51change anything with your one little
- 1:17:52vote anyway.
- 1:17:53And many people believe that way.
- 1:17:57So, delayed housing relief is going to
- 1:17:59be hard to defend to families that are
- 1:18:02priced out of homes or the ability to
- 1:18:04buy them.
- 1:18:05So, Democrats are going to say he had a
- 1:18:08bipartisan win on a housing deal and he
- 1:18:11turned it into another loyalty test.
- 1:18:14Right?
- 1:18:15This is Trump 2.0.
- 1:18:18Uh this is how he
- 1:18:20uh
- 1:18:22acts as president, especially in the
- 1:18:23second term.
- 1:18:24Anyway.
- 1:18:26So,
- 1:18:26I don't know. I haven't haven't um
- 1:18:30put too much thought process into there.
- 1:18:34It's um
- 1:18:37you know
- 1:18:40It's an interesting
- 1:18:42thought process. When it comes, when it
- 1:18:44gets signed, we will
- 1:18:47certainly pay attention to it and keep
- 1:18:50track of this over the next little bit.
- 1:18:53I had and and it's toward the end of the
- 1:18:55show and I'm going to play it cuz it's a
- 1:18:57very short song any who
- 1:19:00and I wanted to play
- 1:19:03this for you because and and and uh
- 1:19:07it
- 1:19:08basically is
- 1:19:11uh among my favorites
- 1:19:14and I have No, you know what? I'm not
- 1:19:16going to be able to play it. I can't
- 1:19:17can't find it quick enough.
- 1:19:20And uh
- 1:19:26Um we're going to try to find it, I
- 1:19:28suppose, and then and then play that one
- 1:19:31song for you and it's pretty short. It's
- 1:19:33not even uh
- 1:19:34not even 3 minutes and so we'll go ahead
- 1:19:37and play it and uh

- 1:22:39A love song [clears throat] from a movie
- 1:22:40of the same
- 1:22:43name.
- 1:22:44And one of my favorites.
- 1:22:47We had a caller but the noise is is I
- 1:22:50don't know what's going on with his
- 1:22:51phone but uh
- 1:22:53we got nothing. If you want to try
- 1:22:54again, please do but I I I got nothing.
- 1:22:58And except some kind of a weird stuff in
- 1:23:01the background. And so whatever's
- 1:23:03happening try it again. There's only a
- 1:23:05few minutes left of the old program.
- 1:23:07Anyhoo
- 1:23:08and but I will pick up and let you
- 1:23:10finish it out if you would like. Um
- 1:23:14let's see here.
- 1:23:15There were a couple other interestings.
- 1:23:17There was a a French teenager killed by
- 1:23:20a migrant gang
- 1:23:22sparking national outrage. Five suspects
- 1:23:27were tracked down after they filmed the
- 1:23:31the attack.
- 1:23:33And he was the kid was fighting for his
- 1:23:35life for days. The brutal beating to
- 1:23:37death of a 17-year-old boy in France by
- 1:23:39a group of teenagers described as a
- 1:23:42migrant gang has sparked public outrage
- 1:23:44across country. The attack which
- 1:23:46authorities have called an ambush took
- 1:23:48place last Friday at a construction site
- 1:23:51in the southern city of Narbonne.
- 1:23:54All right caller, let's try this one
- 1:23:56more time. You only got a few minutes.
- 1:23:59>> That's okay. Can you hear me?
- 1:24:00>> I can now, yes.
- 1:24:03>> Awesome.
- 1:24:04Um
- 1:24:06What What's the big deal about uh
- 1:24:09voter registration if uh
- 1:24:11there's there's minimal fraud and uh
- 1:24:14election fraud and and uh
- 1:24:16Trump's got it in the bag anyways.
- 1:24:19Yeah
- 1:24:20what what
- 1:24:20>> I don't think he's got it in the bag. I
- 1:24:22think he's I think he's in for a rude
- 1:24:24awakening come November. That's what I
- 1:24:26think. But but I could be wrong. I don't
- 1:24:28I don't follow that as much as I ought
- 1:24:30to, but I also don't spout off you know
- 1:24:33that victory is here victory is not. You
- 1:24:36know, I have my own theory and I just
- 1:24:37gave it to you and I don't think he is
- 1:24:41seen as positively now as he was 2 years
- 1:24:43ago.
- 1:24:45>> Exactly.
- 1:24:47A lot of a lot of voters didn't turn out
- 1:24:50because they were upset with Kamala
- 1:24:52about her
- 1:24:54pro-Israel stance.
- 1:24:56>> Well, she she wasn't
- 1:24:59in my view she was a non-choice. That
- 1:25:01was some
- 1:25:02I can't imagine choosing that
- 1:25:05type of person and I know that. I mean,
- 1:25:09I don't care you know, the fact that
- 1:25:10she's a woman doesn't bother me. Fact
- 1:25:12she's black doesn't bother me remotely.
- 1:25:13But but the the the fact that she's not
- 1:25:17too bright
- 1:25:18that bothers me. And
- 1:25:20>> How do you figure she's not too bright
- 1:25:22cuz Trump says it?
- 1:25:23>> No, because I watch her and I and I
- 1:25:26and I followed her too. I take that
- 1:25:29choice pretty seriously and and I and I
- 1:25:31watch and I try to listen. Put together
- 1:25:33something for me that makes me
- 1:25:36understand what you think you would do
- 1:25:38for the country and she had nothing.
- 1:25:42Listen to her now allegedly running in
- 1:25:44California. Go just just put her pull
- 1:25:46her up now and if you can articulate a
- 1:25:49real plan for anything other than I'm a
- 1:25:51black lawyer woman vote for me. That's
- 1:25:55all that that's all that there is and
- 1:25:58there was no no profile of hers that
- 1:26:01would be anything except I got the
- 1:26:03support of the Hollywood elite. I got
- 1:26:05the support of the Democratic elite and
- 1:26:07all the elite support me because they
- 1:26:10I'm pliable to them. I can be controlled
- 1:26:13by them. That's what I believe. I'll let
- 1:26:15you have the last word but I only got a
- 1:26:17couple of minutes.
- 1:26:19>> Only got a couple minutes. Uh
- 1:26:22Well, this um
- 1:26:25It just seems like it's a
- 1:26:27it's going to be a wash to me. Uh
- 1:26:29there's there's not a wash. It's going
- 1:26:31to be
- 1:26:31they're
- 1:26:32they're going to get run over. There's
- 1:26:34there's no way that that Trump is going
- 1:26:36to People are
- 1:26:37Peo- People are are have caught him in
- 1:26:40his lies and and uh
- 1:26:42um just
- 1:26:43less less people are just following him
- 1:26:45blindly, I think.
- 1:26:47>> Well, the question is whether or not you
- 1:26:49feel positive about the direction we're
- 1:26:51going or negative. That's the usual, in
- 1:26:53my opinion, in a midterm. And I think
- 1:26:57most people see what's going on in a
- 1:26:59negative light.
- 1:27:01>> Do you know what uh
- 1:27:03Rhino Liner is? Bed Liner in a pickup
- 1:27:05truck?
- 1:27:05>> I do. I have it in my pickup truck.
- 1:27:08>> But you Does Does it stay on on on your
- 1:27:11pickup bed?
- 1:27:13>> It did for pretty good. I put it on it
- 1:27:14last Did about 5 6 years. I've given
- 1:27:16that truck to my son, and it and it
- 1:27:18still, for the most part, but on the
- 1:27:20tailgate, it chips off quite a bit.
- 1:27:24>> What I'm What I'm getting at is uh
- 1:27:27No Nobody's buying his his vandalism
- 1:27:30with the with the pool. The man will
- 1:27:32just stand up and and and outright lie.
- 1:27:35And
- 1:27:36and uh
- 1:27:37he's still saying the Iran war Iran war
- 1:27:40was uh
- 1:27:42won the first week.
- 1:27:43>> Yeah, that's that's not a victory.
- 1:27:45>> There's only a limited number of
- 1:27:47There's There's only a limited number of
- 1:27:48people that's that's uh
- 1:27:50going to
- 1:27:51going to accept that kind of
- 1:27:53>> It's a very limited number of people
- 1:27:55because the the facts are against him.
- 1:27:59>> Yeah. Uh
- 1:28:01Sure are.
- 1:28:01>> [laughter]
- 1:28:03>> And
- 1:28:04and it it's funny to me that uh
- 1:28:06J- JR has a positive spin every every
- 1:28:09day.
- 1:28:09>> Well, but JR's is
- 1:28:11dude. And and and I love JR and I think
- 1:28:13he's very positive, but sadly we have
- 1:28:15literally 20 seconds and I got to close
- 1:28:17it out. So I appreciate you. Thanks for
- 1:28:19the call.
- 1:28:20>> Goodbye.
- 1:28:21>> Bye-bye.
- 1:28:22And that is it for today on
- 1:28:24International Flavors. Thanks for
- 1:28:26joining us. Join us again tomorrow
