- 0:14SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna set the tone.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: It's something you can feel from your head to your toes.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: It's a truth serum.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Are you ready for your dose?
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: It's a truth serum.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: Are you ready for your dose?
- 0:27SPEAKER_06: Happy Friday, everybody.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Happy Friday.
- 0:30SPEAKER_06: How oh.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: Deep.
- 0:32SPEAKER_06: A deep voice.
- 0:33SPEAKER_06: No, I know.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: I woke up with a bread voice.
- 0:34SPEAKER_06: Happy Friday, everybody.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Happy Friday.
- 0:37SPEAKER_06: Um Friday's kind of fun, like kind of like closing off everybody's week rather than a Thursday.
- 0:42SPEAKER_06: We apologize for the change in plans this week.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: But I like a Friday.
- 0:47SPEAKER_06: No, Friday, honestly, kind of nice.
- 0:50SPEAKER_06: And also, these, okay, so these sweatshirts right here, if you're watching on YouTube, our friend Michaela made these sweatshirts for us.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: They are the best quality sweatshirts ever.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: They're embroidered.
- 1:00SPEAKER_06: It's embroidered.
- 1:01SPEAKER_06: And it's like the exact logo, the exact truth seemed green.
- 1:04SPEAKER_06: Like it is like perfect.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: And she gave us an idea of she's like, oh, if we were ever to make merch, like I would want them to look like this.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: So it's like, if you guys like those, let us know.
- 1:14SPEAKER_06: They're so good.
- 1:14SPEAKER_06: I just wanted to shout those out.
- 1:16SPEAKER_06: And then if you're looking at the this like pair, I didn't realize what these were when they were in the bag behind me.
- 1:22SPEAKER_06: But yes, Alex Earl sent me some real actives.
- 1:26SPEAKER_06: Are they speedos?
- 1:26SPEAKER_06: What would you call them?
- 1:27SPEAKER_06: Speedos.
- 1:28SPEAKER_06: Yeah, real active speedos, G string Speedos.
- 1:32SPEAKER_06: Because here's a story.
- 1:33SPEAKER_06: Oh, and here's the infamous bottle as well.
- 1:35SPEAKER_06: So here's what happened.
- 1:36SPEAKER_06: If you don't know, if you didn't see my TikTok.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: I love the story.
- 1:39SPEAKER_06: So Real Active sent me their skincare line.
- 1:45SPEAKER_06: Like their like four-step product.
- 1:47SPEAKER_06: I was like, oh, let me like zoom in and like lower the exposure and like post like the products on my story.
- 1:54SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:55SPEAKER_06: And be artsy, whatever.
- 1:56SPEAKER_06: The issue is, is I had just gotten out of the shower and I just there in my full my fullness.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: In your fullness.
- 2:04SPEAKER_06: In my full.
- 2:05SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 2:06SPEAKER_06: And this bottle right here is essentially a mirror.
- 2:10SPEAKER_06: It is completely reflective.
- 2:13SPEAKER_06: And I zoomed in on the products, posted it 34 minutes later.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: 34 guys.
- 2:19SPEAKER_06: 34.
- 2:20SPEAKER_06: I go back and I look and I see, oh, there is all of me on my Instagram story.
- 2:26SPEAKER_06: 60 people had seen me fully naked on my Instagram story.
- 2:31SPEAKER_06: Which you're welcome, by the way.
- 2:34SPEAKER_06: So anyway, I deleted it and then I posted a story time on TikTok, and I was like, um, which here's the thing.
- 2:40SPEAKER_06: One thing about me is like, if you send me like a skincare product and I'd be like, here's my four-step 30 views.
- 2:46SPEAKER_06: Like, no one cares.
- 2:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 2:47SPEAKER_06: So I have to find something like this because this is basically the stuff that people like of me to see of me.
- 2:52SPEAKER_06: No one cares about my skincare routine.
- 2:54SPEAKER_06: Um, I posted the story time saying what happened, and then Alex Earl like reposted it, commented, you know, all the stuff.
- 3:01SPEAKER_06: So then she sent me this like I came home from Austin with this huge, real active.
- 3:06SPEAKER_06: It was a huge page.
- 3:07SPEAKER_06: Literally so big.
- 3:07SPEAKER_06: I was like, what is this?
- 3:08SPEAKER_06: I have literally no clue.
- 3:09SPEAKER_06: And then I filmed myself opening it.
- 3:11SPEAKER_06: I thought these were hairnets.
- 3:13SPEAKER_06: I don't know why a hairnet would look like that.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Because he held him up.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: He was like facing me, showed me everything.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: I was, I was like, oh, she sent you panties.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: And then he was like, no, those are.
- 3:20SPEAKER_06: I didn't even think I heard her say that.
- 3:22SPEAKER_06: Like, I didn't even hear I that that if you said that, it never even registered my brain.
- 3:26SPEAKER_06: I was just so uh uh aghast, I don't know what aghast means, but at the fact that Alex or wrote me like I I'm sorry, it was either her or her intern, but I'm sorry, I believe she wrote it.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: No, she wrote it.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: I mean she wrote it.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: She wrote it.
- 3:38SPEAKER_06: Because Hanwriting, whatever, da da da da, Alex or whatever.
- 3:40SPEAKER_06: Anyway, so then I opened and it's these.
- 3:43SPEAKER_06: And if let me just show you what they look like, actually.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: And she said to keep you covered for next time.
- 3:50SPEAKER_06: Yes, she said, so you don't have another slip-up.
- 3:53SPEAKER_06: But it is not only are they speedos, but like I want him to wear these on Halloween.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: But also, like the fact that no one will question it.
- 4:04SPEAKER_06: The lack of coverage, the lack of spur footage.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: Cheeks out.
- 4:08SPEAKER_06: Anyway, so I did try them on.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: She'll cover your front, not your bag.
- 4:11SPEAKER_06: Um, I do I do have photos of me wearing these on my phone that no one will ever see just because I it was just for fun.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: But just little picks.
- 4:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah, but anyway, what's new with you?
- 4:21SPEAKER_06: You had a birthday this week.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I did.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Happy birthday to you.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Like an elephant from Zing.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Happy birthday to ya.
- 4:32SPEAKER_06: I'm a little sick.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: Happy b oh.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
- 4:40SPEAKER_06: There, I just had to get it out.
- 4:45SPEAKER_06: That was good.
- 5:00SPEAKER_06: I'm kind of sick, y'all.
- 5:01SPEAKER_06: One more tag.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Y'all.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: It sounds like a train.
- 5:07SPEAKER_06: So had to put it in the chest.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And many more.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: No, you need some WD40 for a second.
- 5:16SPEAKER_06: No, y'all.
- 5:17SPEAKER_06: I just felt a little sick.
- 5:18SPEAKER_06: Y'all know I got a good voice on me, though.
- 5:19SPEAKER_06: You know I got those lungs on me.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: No, you do.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: And I appreciate it.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: How was your birthday?
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: You did something new to show.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: So if you guys remember from like my first or second ever episode.
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Epper.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Epersode.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Um, I said that I was canceling my birthday this year.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: And I did.
- 5:36SPEAKER_06: She did cancel her.
- 5:37SPEAKER_06: She I did not see.
- 5:38SPEAKER_06: Everyone's like, what do you do?
- 5:39SPEAKER_06: I know you're probably up.
- 5:40SPEAKER_06: Did you do stuff with Lauren today?
- 5:42SPEAKER_06: No.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: No.
- 5:43SPEAKER_06: No.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: I wanted a plan of like on my actual birthday, like, Kristoff had dinner plans, everything.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: I just said, like, hey, could you go pick up, not to be like quirky, but I was like, could you?
- 5:52SPEAKER_06: No, Lauren's like not like other girls.
- 5:54SPEAKER_06: Like, she doesn't care about her birthday.
- 5:55SPEAKER_06: She doesn't order ramen and play Mario Kart.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: You're oh yeah, it steals my story.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Well, I have a ballad for you.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: Ready?
- 6:00SPEAKER_06: I don't want it.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: Please?
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: Jump from a burning building to say no.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: I don't know the words.
- 6:12SPEAKER_06: So I'm gonna need you to go back to choir rehearsal and then come back next week with that one.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: No, I will.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: But I was trying to honor you with art on your song.
- 6:19SPEAKER_06: Thank you for honoring me.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: I listened to it five times on the way here.
- 6:22SPEAKER_06: It's good.
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: Hey, tell the name of it.
- 6:23SPEAKER_06: Ellie.
- 6:24SPEAKER_06: No, tell your story.
- 6:24SPEAKER_06: I feel like I've overridden your story about your birthday now, but really quick, Ellie Golding released a song called For Your Entertainment.
- 6:29SPEAKER_06: I genuinely think it's like the most.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: She released 50 songs, guys.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: She released three albums.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: She's like, okay, I haven't been out here yet.
- 6:34SPEAKER_06: Which I think we should stop doing, by the way.
- 6:36SPEAKER_06: Make an A-track album, call it a Day.
- 6:38SPEAKER_06: I think Zayn, on popular opinion, Zayn is, in my opinion, the most talented of the One Direction.
- 6:45SPEAKER_06: Stop releasing albums that have 41 songs on it.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: Make it you need stamina for that.
- 6:50SPEAKER_06: Anyway, sorry, go back to your birthday.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: Anyway, so my birthday story.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I just need to assume that the song.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Um, so my birthday, I canceled it and I ended up having a really relaxed birthday, which was literally my favorite birthday I've ever had.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Just a birthday at home.
- 7:05SPEAKER_06: Which that's what matters.
- 7:06SPEAKER_06: I just was like, am I supposed to like show up with like balloons?
- 7:10SPEAKER_06: This is not you are not like this, but normally people are like, if they don't want to do anything for your birthday, they're low key still expecting.
- 7:17SPEAKER_06: Oh, no expectations.
- 7:19SPEAKER_06: I genuinely was like, okay, I believe you.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: And I didn't want to do anything.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: And then Dom and my best friend Alexis surprised me with a surprise party last night, which was amazing.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was after the event me and Dom did.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: It was Sunset Social for at Gathering Place for Which, if you guys came, that was genuinely so fun.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: Honestly, can I be honest?
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Like, it is like what my normal birthdays are like.
- 7:44SPEAKER_06: Just like everyone.
- 7:45SPEAKER_06: The clientele.
- 7:45SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: I love the clientele that came last night.
- 7:48SPEAKER_06: Well, it's cool because people were like, I'm from like San Antonio, Texas.
- 7:50SPEAKER_06: I'm from and they're like, We've never had anything like this from these cities that are like bigger than Tulsa.
- 7:54SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 7:54SPEAKER_06: San Antonio's bigger.
- 7:55SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's bigger than Tulsa.
- 7:56SPEAKER_06: Sorry.
- 7:57SPEAKER_06: Maybe I don't know.
- 7:58SPEAKER_06: They're like so dumb.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: I don't know geography.
- 7:59SPEAKER_06: No, me either.
- 8:00SPEAKER_06: But um, they were like, we don't have anything like this.
- 8:02SPEAKER_06: Like, this was like genuinely so cool.
- 8:04SPEAKER_06: Like, I just moved to Tulsa.
- 8:05SPEAKER_06: Like, it was really it was genuinely cool, and people sold it out like twice.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: What visit Tulsa and Experience Tulsa, like all of um these organizations are doing, bringing community, they're doing an amazing job.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: No, they ate, they ate down.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: So thank you guys for having us party as their host.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: So after um Domin Alexis had a surprise party uh for me at Andalini's Pizza with a huge macaroni and cheese pizza, my favorite off menu.
- 8:29SPEAKER_06: Shout out Mike Bosch.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Mike.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: So it was so fun.
- 8:33SPEAKER_06: Can I just say one thing?
- 8:34SPEAKER_06: This is not my truth serum, but I just have to get this off my chest.
- 8:37SPEAKER_06: I hate Carrie Andanava.
- 8:39SPEAKER_06: I don't even know her name, how to say it.
- 8:41SPEAKER_06: Carrie Annava Andinava.
- 8:44SPEAKER_06: I cannot stand her.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, Dancing with the Stars.
- 8:48SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: She is so so mean.
- 8:51SPEAKER_06: She is making me mad.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 8:53SPEAKER_06: And also, can I say Dancing with the Stars is doing what it's supposed to do?
- 8:55SPEAKER_06: Because now I am a Connorwood fan.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:58SPEAKER_06: I I it's not that I ever wasn't a fan.
- 9:00SPEAKER_06: It's like maybe I just didn't.
- 9:02SPEAKER_06: I just it didn't, it I feel like it had passed me.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 9:05SPEAKER_06: But it arrived back.
- 9:06SPEAKER_06: It did a U-turn.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: He is so kind.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:09SPEAKER_06: My whole TikTok scrolling right now is Carrie Andanava edits.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: The thing about her, like, are the is she trying to like rage bait others with her?
- 9:17SPEAKER_06: Every show, every show needs a sign.
- 9:19SPEAKER_06: Is it like a signing count?
- 9:20SPEAKER_06: She's trying to sign.
- 9:21SPEAKER_06: And here's the thing.
- 9:23SPEAKER_06: Sh she needs to do what she's doing.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: For the sake of a show.
- 9:27SPEAKER_06: For the sake of a show.
- 9:28SPEAKER_06: I actually get it.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: Because I mean, I guess, do they I have, can I tell you, I have never actually watched an episode in my entire life.
- 9:35SPEAKER_06: And I'll say this right now.
- 9:36SPEAKER_06: Oh, I yeah.
- 9:38SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna get into that.
- 9:38SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 9:39SPEAKER_06: Reading minds.
- 9:40SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 9:40SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 9:41SPEAKER_06: Yum.
- 9:42SPEAKER_06: Should we get into our truth serums?
- 9:44SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 9:44SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 9:45SPEAKER_06: Okay, so our truth serums are just things that we want to get off our chest.
- 9:48SPEAKER_06: It could be literally anything positive, negative, neutral.
- 9:50SPEAKER_06: Like just something we want to say.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: You know?
- 9:54SPEAKER_06: Because we have a podcast with mics.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: We don't.
- 9:55SPEAKER_06: So therefore we say something.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: So.
- 9:58SPEAKER_06: Go ahead.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 10:02SPEAKER_06: A birthday first.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: A birthday first.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: My truth.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: My truth serum is back up.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: Simply put.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: Like, I okay.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: So for me, I'm one of those people, guys.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: Like, I I'm very social and I'm very welcoming, whatever.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: And I I could talk to anyone, okay?
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: Um, but I don't want to talk to you face to face, like in my face.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: Nose to nose.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: And so I just nothing drives me more crazy, like, because I am so breath aware and breath conscious.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: Like, I always have like a pack of my five gum paired with my orbit, paired with my uh breath strips.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: Like, I have my stuff, others don't, okay.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Um, but every time that I'm talking to someone and I take a small, like a half step back just to be like, oh, like let me just have a little bit of space.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: They fill the space, they take a step towards me.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: And I could cry like now, just think about it.
- 10:56SPEAKER_06: I'm so passionate about this.
- 10:57SPEAKER_06: I'm like, it's like everything.
- 10:58SPEAKER_06: I mean to not interrupt you right now because I just so agree.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: Guys, and also too, and when he gets diagnosed, it'll be better.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: So it's like two ADHD people, but this is how ADHD people have conversations.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: He doesn't interrupt me or steamroll me or anything like that.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, a specific shout out.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: Um, but uh what he does is he bounces and adds, and he also looks at my face and is like, oh, her mind's blank.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: And so she he helps me with my words.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: So, anyway, here, bounce with me.
- 11:26SPEAKER_06: A bounce?
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: A pre-IDSD diagnosis bounce.
- 11:28SPEAKER_06: Okay, so I will say this nothing pisses me off more than somebody who's stank who doesn't know private personal space.
- 11:36SPEAKER_06: There was somebody in my life who stunk so bad.
- 11:38SPEAKER_06: Breath stank, body stank, everything stank.
- 11:41SPEAKER_06: And talking in my face like this, and I would take a step back, and then you have the audacity to step forward.
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: You should have told them though.
- 11:47SPEAKER_06: No, I no, I was like, Can you back up?
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: Um guys, I just want to say we just cut a whole section of and we're still laughing from it.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: Anyway, um, anyway, all's to say.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: Wow, nothing.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: All to say is this like, not even just stinking, but just like you should just know that you shouldn't just not be in my nose.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: Like she it just it is just disgusting.
- 12:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's just like stop making it everyone else's problem.
- 12:15SPEAKER_06: Yeah, there are people in my life right now that genuinely clear a room when they talk.
- 12:18SPEAKER_06: Like, I'm not kidding.
- 12:19SPEAKER_06: From across the room.
- 12:20SPEAKER_06: Are you serious?
- 12:21SPEAKER_06: I can smell.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: Is it from their like Starbucks order?
- 12:23SPEAKER_06: It's from the Starbucks order, extra cream.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Extra cream.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: It's the cream race.
- 12:27SPEAKER_06: And yeah, but I'm just like back up, get out of my face, stop making it my problem.
- 12:31SPEAKER_06: Like get a tug scraper, like shower.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: But I mean, even like I said, even if they don't have I didn't even say that.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: Um even if they don't have bad breath, I'm just like the spatial awareness of like I just like get really like outside of smells.
- 12:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: So back up.
- 12:49SPEAKER_06: Back up.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's it.
- 12:50SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, I completely agree.
- 12:51SPEAKER_06: Just like stopping so intentional boots, like stop looking in my eye.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: No, exactly.
- 12:55SPEAKER_06: Especially if they have blue eyes, like I'm so sorry.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Like no, they did, yeah, they scared me.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: Um shivered in my spider.
- 13:01SPEAKER_06: Eye on eye.
- 13:02SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 13:03SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 13:06SPEAKER_06: Just a little cough.
- 13:08SPEAKER_06: It was a cough.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: Okay, a muted cough.
- 13:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 13:10SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 13:11SPEAKER_06: Also, before I say this, I feel like I've been getting crap on all my clips of me lately.
- 13:17SPEAKER_06: What I'm about to say, don't be like, oh my god, so stupid.
- 13:20SPEAKER_06: There's such a problem with this generation.
- 13:22SPEAKER_06: Blah blah blah.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: Wait, should we read the iconic?
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: Can I read off the iconic argument from the other day?
- 13:31SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 13:32SPEAKER_06: True serum first.
- 13:33SPEAKER_06: No, no, no, let's do it.
- 13:34SPEAKER_06: Okay, so people have been really passionate on our on our videos lately, and there was like these two people that were just arguing back and forth.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: They were having an intentional off.
- 13:43SPEAKER_06: And we just like stopped responding.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like, oh we were just like, I feel like we were like drinking our La La Land coffee in Austin, like, and just like relaxing, and these two people were like going back and forth.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: It was a clip of Dom talking about which one was it?
- 13:55SPEAKER_06: The chairs in the back?
- 13:56SPEAKER_01: No, it was the one people performatively speaking.
- 13:59SPEAKER_06: Guys, you guys annihilated me for that.
- 14:01SPEAKER_06: Like, not our listeners.
- 14:03SPEAKER_06: No, you guys, no, not our listeners.
- 14:05SPEAKER_06: Sorry.
- 14:06SPEAKER_06: The algorithms annihilated me.
- 14:08SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 14:08SPEAKER_06: For that.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: Because they were like, sorry if someone's just trying to make your day.
- 14:12SPEAKER_06: Oh, yep.
- 14:13SPEAKER_06: The whole world revolves around this guy.
- 14:15SPEAKER_06: If you're doing something and it's around him, just know everything is for him.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: They felt so good posting that.
- 14:22SPEAKER_06: And I was like, smirked and like.
- 14:24SPEAKER_06: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 14:25SPEAKER_06: But the thing is, they didn't hear the whole story that came after about the coochie has landed.
- 14:28SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 14:29SPEAKER_06: If they had heard the coochie has landed, they would have known what it was referring to.
- 14:31SPEAKER_06: It's a clip, y'all.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: Yes, exactly.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: So Welch's grape juice commented, it's called being funny, not showing people how funny you are.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: And I commented back, OMG.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Like I was just like, then uh auto uh anonym or whatever said, You're being obtuse.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: Hey You're being obtuse.
- 14:57SPEAKER_06: Which I'm obsessed with obtuse.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: Welches Grape says, Is someone trying to quote unquote prove that they're funny anytime?
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: Oh wait, oh he's stuttering.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: Oh wait, oh I'm stuttering.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm sorry, Welches.
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: Is anyone trying to oh my gosh?
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: Give me the phone.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Okay, here.
- 15:15SPEAKER_06: This is how it was in school.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: Guys, my popcorn reading.
- 15:18SPEAKER_06: Oh, screenshot it.
- 15:19SPEAKER_06: Screenshots.
- 15:20SPEAKER_06: Is somebody trying to prove that they're funny anytime they make a joke to anyone?
- 15:25SPEAKER_06: That's kind of where this guy's logic leads.
- 15:28SPEAKER_06: First of all, let's say this.
- 15:29SPEAKER_06: Logic not applied.
- 15:30SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 15:31SPEAKER_06: This is not a podcast about logic.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: No.
- 15:33SPEAKER_06: Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh.
- 15:36SPEAKER_06: Canada.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 15:38SPEAKER_06: Let's say that is where what he's saying.
- 15:41SPEAKER_06: The answer is yes.
- 15:42SPEAKER_06: What planet do you live on that you've never seen someone do something so reptitiously for attention and acknowledgement.
- 15:52SPEAKER_06: Are you serious?
- 15:54SPEAKER_06: So anytime somebody makes a joke in public, they are just selfishly trying to get attention.
- 15:58SPEAKER_06: Like I said, the same logic could be applied to saying a joke to anyone, even friends and family.
- 16:03SPEAKER_06: Like your friends didn't sign up for your comedy routine either.
- 16:06SPEAKER_06: Personally, I enjoy having friends that make me laugh spontaneously.
- 16:10SPEAKER_06: And yes, even strangers will say that's something sometimes that absolutely kills.
- 16:15SPEAKER_06: And I appreciate it.
- 16:16SPEAKER_06: Performative males.
- 16:16SPEAKER_06: And I appreciate it rather than to react with jealousy.
- 16:20SPEAKER_06: I didn't even see this.
- 16:22SPEAKER_06: Jealous jealousy, like this guy, he just appeared in my algorithm.
- 16:25SPEAKER_06: I didn't ask to be part of his comedy routine either.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, eight.
- 16:29SPEAKER_06: Wait, devoured.
- 16:30SPEAKER_06: Wait, Welcher's great.
- 16:31SPEAKER_06: Devoured.
- 16:32SPEAKER_06: Oh my god.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: I'm obsessed.
- 16:34SPEAKER_06: Also, I am not jealous if Coochie has landed.
- 16:36SPEAKER_06: No.
- 16:37SPEAKER_06: Let's get that out there.
- 16:38SPEAKER_06: No.
- 16:38SPEAKER_06: Then another one.
- 16:39SPEAKER_06: You're being obtuse.
- 16:41SPEAKER_06: They're having an obtuse off.
- 16:43SPEAKER_06: Why are we angles?
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: I know literally.
- 16:44SPEAKER_06: Doesn't obtuse mean a wide angle?
- 16:46SPEAKER_06: Is it calling her wide?
- 16:47SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 16:48SPEAKER_06: Him or her?
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I thought obtuse was a shape.
- 16:50SPEAKER_06: You're being obtuse.
- 16:52SPEAKER_06: You're legitimately not using your brain.
- 16:54SPEAKER_06: Stop asking rhetorical questions with obvious answers.
- 16:56SPEAKER_06: So anytime M-N, all capitals.
- 17:00SPEAKER_06: And that's not what he said.
- 17:02SPEAKER_06: He described a very specific behavior with a specific intention.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 17:06SPEAKER_06: If someone, if someone isn't, sorry, I'm swiping.
- 17:10SPEAKER_06: If someone isn't performing that behavior with that intention, then they obviously and necessarily aren't the ones being spoken about.
- 17:16SPEAKER_06: You're acting as if this is a non-universal behavior.
- 17:18SPEAKER_06: Guys, this goes on and on and on and on and on.
- 17:20SPEAKER_06: I'm not gonna bore you.
- 17:22SPEAKER_06: Scrolling, scrolling, scrolling, scrolling.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: Scrolling.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: I have like 14 screenshots.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: I love obtuses.
- 17:28SPEAKER_06: And also the person defending me, you are describing exactly what I what I was doing.
- 17:33SPEAKER_06: So I appreciate that.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: He was our target audience, not Welch's grape.
- 17:37SPEAKER_06: But the algorithms are not like I posted a thing about Shane Gillis.
- 17:41SPEAKER_06: I got called every word in the book.
- 17:42SPEAKER_06: I had to delete.
- 17:43SPEAKER_06: Oh my gosh.
- 17:44SPEAKER_06: I had to delete the video.
- 17:44SPEAKER_06: I was like, I can't do this.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: Someone combined two slurs into one for Don.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: They made a special slur for Don.
- 17:51SPEAKER_06: Special slur for me.
- 17:52SPEAKER_06: Um which ate.
- 17:55SPEAKER_06: Um, but and then even the one about complaining about the seats with no backs, they're like, then they're like, M Everest complain about everything.
- 18:02SPEAKER_06: Dork.
- 18:04SPEAKER_06: I was like, guys, whoa.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: Get this dork off my algorithm.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: Dork off my algorithm.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: I guess I this is why I feel so bad.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: It's like Dom can't even have one episode where he gets a bad text and is like a little snappy, and then he can't even just say one thing.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: And I was in such a good mood.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: Literally, he was in such a good mood that episode.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: He can't say anything.
- 18:23SPEAKER_06: Also, I want to say that I am prepared for this life.
- 18:26SPEAKER_06: Like I am like down and ready.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm just saying, like, why can't they say anything to me in those clips?
- 18:32SPEAKER_06: You know what?
- 18:33SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna start making some specific clips of you and we'll see.
- 18:36SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 18:36SPEAKER_06: I'm just kidding.
- 18:37SPEAKER_06: I try to get you canceled.
- 18:38SPEAKER_06: No, I'm kidding.
- 18:39SPEAKER_06: Okay, so here's canceless.
- 18:41SPEAKER_06: So true.
- 18:42SPEAKER_06: Here's my truth serum.
- 18:44SPEAKER_06: Canceless.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: Does canceless make sense?
- 18:46SPEAKER_06: No, not at all.
- 18:47SPEAKER_06: Uncancelable would be the word.
- 18:48SPEAKER_06: I just did not want to correct you.
- 18:50SPEAKER_06: I'm not trying to correct you.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: Abtu.
- 18:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you're obtuse.
- 18:54SPEAKER_06: Um if you are telling me.
- 18:57SPEAKER_06: Here's my truth serum.
- 18:58SPEAKER_06: You're obtuse.
- 18:59SPEAKER_06: You're obtuse.
- 19:00SPEAKER_06: Well, the opposite of two says acute.
- 19:02SPEAKER_06: And acute feels small and obtuse feels big.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: Oh hell.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: Now I'm offended.
- 19:10SPEAKER_06: Oh girl.
- 19:11SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 19:12SPEAKER_06: Here's my true serum.
- 19:13SPEAKER_06: If you are telling me where something is, do not use north, south, east, and west.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: Ever.
- 19:18SPEAKER_06: Do I look like Sakawea to you?
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Not at all.
- 19:22SPEAKER_06: Do I look like I'm guiding Lewis and Clark to the Louisiana Purchase?
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:28SPEAKER_06: I do?
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: No, but was that the same as the Louisiana Purchase?
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 19:33SPEAKER_06: Hairs split left and right.
- 19:35SPEAKER_06: Let me go off on my funny monologue.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: No, true.
- 19:37SPEAKER_06: Do I look like I'm bringing out a pocket compass?
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: No.
- 19:41SPEAKER_06: Tell me if it's by the McDonald's on 61st.
- 19:43SPEAKER_06: No, literally.
- 19:44SPEAKER_06: Like they say, oh, if someone's like, oh, where is it?
- 19:46SPEAKER_06: Uh head east.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: Someone last time was like, Do you live north of the Warren?
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: I was like, no, I don't know.
- 19:51SPEAKER_06: North of the Warren?
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't know.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: And I I don't even know the broken arrow streets.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: Now I've lived there for five years.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: North of the Warren?
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: I just got the Tulsa grid.
- 19:58SPEAKER_06: Are we supposed to look up and see what direction the birds are flying in their V?
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: But there's some people, I said that to Christoph, my husband.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: He's just like, yeah, that was north.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Like he knows some people know that.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: And it's like the sun.
- 20:11SPEAKER_06: I know that, like, I know that if I'm looking at a map, what is north, south, east, and west, like, I understand never eat soggy waffles.
- 20:17SPEAKER_06: Like, I understand it.
- 20:18SPEAKER_06: But was it not never eat soggy waffles for you?
- 20:20SPEAKER_06: So like never eat soggy waffles, like I get that.
- 20:23SPEAKER_06: But if I'm like, hey, where is this?
- 20:24SPEAKER_06: And they say, oh, well, head west.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: Mm-mm.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: I think we're supposed to look if something's rising in the east and setting in the west.
- 20:31SPEAKER_06: I just don't have time to do that.
- 20:32SPEAKER_06: Also, like I don't, I'm like, I don't have an atlas in my glove compartment.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: Using an atlas?
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: Your friend's mom.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Then she makes you use an atlas.
- 20:40SPEAKER_06: Did I just tell you the story?
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:42SPEAKER_06: Oh, wait, because I just told someone the story and I didn't think it was huge.
- 20:44SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it was me.
- 20:45SPEAKER_06: No, I was literally with my friend's mom, who just I think is still in the golden.
- 20:49SPEAKER_06: Is the golden age an age?
- 20:51SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 20:51SPEAKER_06: What is a golden age?
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure.
- 20:53SPEAKER_06: Who lives in a in a shoe in a past decade?
- 20:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah, she's giving woman who lives in the shoe.
- 20:58SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 20:59SPEAKER_06: We were driving and she opened, she literally had the gall to this woman is not like 80.
- 21:03SPEAKER_06: She's like probably like 50 something.
- 21:04SPEAKER_06: She's young.
- 21:05SPEAKER_06: She opened up an atlas.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:07SPEAKER_06: And I was like, I don't know what you expect me to do to that.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: She like fluffed it out.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:11SPEAKER_06: And blew dust off.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: She just wanted to be cute.
- 21:15SPEAKER_06: No, I was no, she genuinely was like, don't listen to Apple Maps.
- 21:18SPEAKER_06: You have to look at the Atlas.
- 21:19SPEAKER_06: I'm like, we are on a major highway.
- 21:21SPEAKER_06: I can I can look at Apple Maps.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: No, she's like, get off that Route 44.
- 21:24SPEAKER_06: Speaking of Apple Maps, if you use Google Maps, what are you trying to prove?
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:28SPEAKER_06: I don't like the animation.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Not at all.
- 21:31SPEAKER_06: But anyway, if you're talking to me about where something is, keep those north, south, east, and west to yourself.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Ride them to the nearest McDonald's.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 21:41SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 21:42SPEAKER_06: Or Whole Foods.
- 21:43SPEAKER_06: Or like Yeah, or a green bar.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: Green juice.
- 21:47SPEAKER_06: Okay, so those are our true serums.
- 21:50SPEAKER_06: Let's get into our weekly doses, which our weekly doses are just like two pop culture headlines that we both bring individually that we have interest in.
- 21:59SPEAKER_06: Um again.
- 22:00SPEAKER_06: And we are now in this era where we are not telling each other what we're bringing.
- 22:04SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 22:05SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 22:06SPEAKER_06: Say the name of one of your stories, ready?
- 22:08SPEAKER_06: Three, two, one, Kelly Carson.
- 22:10SPEAKER_06: Who's Bryce Harr?
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: Bryce Hall.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: From TikTok.
- 22:13SPEAKER_06: Bryce Hall, okay.
- 22:14SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah.
- 22:15SPEAKER_06: Ready?
- 22:16SPEAKER_06: Oh.
- 22:17SPEAKER_06: One more.
- 22:17SPEAKER_06: Ready?
- 22:18SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 22:18SPEAKER_06: Three, two, one, Kelly Captain.
- 22:20SPEAKER_06: Kelly Clarkson.
- 22:21SPEAKER_06: Oh, that was my first one.
- 22:22SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 22:23SPEAKER_06: Is it the bird?
- 22:24SPEAKER_06: Okay, let's just do that first then.
- 22:25SPEAKER_06: See, that's why we do that.
- 22:26SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 22:27SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 22:27SPEAKER_06: I will also say this about the situation.
- 22:30SPEAKER_06: Me and Lauren already know what we're dressing up as for our Halloween episode.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 22:34SPEAKER_06: Very sad that we cannot come as Kelly Clarkson and the Bird.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: That would have been amazing.
- 22:38SPEAKER_06: That's what I I do wish that we could do that, but the one that we're doing, it is in motion, and I like it.
- 22:42SPEAKER_06: It's a good idea.
- 22:43SPEAKER_06: And our audience will like ours more.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 22:45SPEAKER_06: But missed opportunity to be Kelly Clarkson and the Bird.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 22:49SPEAKER_06: Okay, so here's a headline.
- 22:50SPEAKER_06: Kelly Clarkson's Kelly Clarkson's$15,000 bird drama goes viral, and new surveillance footage fuels the feud.
- 22:57SPEAKER_06: The singer accused a Brooklyn shop of giving her the pretty woman treatment, but the store disputes her account, sparking debate over customer service privilege and the power of social media.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:09SPEAKER_06: So you're fully aware of the story.
- 23:11SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 23:12SPEAKER_06: So if you don't know, which I don't know how you wouldn't, Kelly Clarkson went to a store in Brooklyn and they had a why am I seeing things about the birds like pronouns?
- 23:23SPEAKER_06: Why are they calling it a non-binary bird?
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: Are they?
- 23:26SPEAKER_06: I've been hearing non-binary bird.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:28SPEAKER_06: Is there something about gender with the bird?
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
- 23:32SPEAKER_06: Or the lack thereof?
- 23:33SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: I don't think so.
- 23:34SPEAKER_06: So there is like this bird animatronic on the wall of this Brooklyn store.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:41SPEAKER_06: And Kelly claims that she asked if she could or inquired on buying it.
- 23:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 23:46SPEAKER_06: It was worth$15,000.
- 23:48SPEAKER_06: And they guess like didn't think that she could afford it.
- 23:51SPEAKER_06: So they routed her to buy something that was less expensive, which is$2,000.
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 23:56SPEAKER_06: She got super offended, did this whole entire tweet.
- 23:58SPEAKER_06: She was like, This place is so disrespectful.
- 24:01SPEAKER_06: If you want to get treated like she did in Pretty Woman, you should go here.
- 24:05SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 24:05SPEAKER_06: All this stuff.
- 24:07SPEAKER_06: Then the store reached out on Twitter as well, posted on Twitter, and they also posted surveillance footage of Kelly Clarkson going in.
- 24:17SPEAKER_06: They were trying to claim that this bird was not for sale.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: But there was a clear price tag.
- 24:21SPEAKER_06: And then they posted a video of the bird for context.
- 24:25SPEAKER_06: And there is a price tag on it for$15,000.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 24:31SPEAKER_06: So the first time Kelly Clarkson, I feel like, has ever gotten hate in her life is right now.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: Um what is your thought?
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: Like, what is your thought on thoughts on everything?
- 24:42SPEAKER_06: Celebrities using their social media to talk about a company from like a customer service perspective, I think is wrong.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:55SPEAKER_06: Like you get to go home to your very large house with your very large bank account.
- 24:59SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 25:00SPEAKER_06: Like you don't have to come at this like small business.
- 25:03SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 25:04SPEAKER_06: Not to be like the person who's like defending a small business, which I wouldn't defend a small business.
- 25:08SPEAKER_06: I'm not even doing it.
- 25:09SPEAKER_06: Like just looking at this completely objectively, no matter where you stand.
- 25:12SPEAKER_06: It's like this person's very privileged, very rich, very whatever.
- 25:14SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 25:15SPEAKER_06: This is a small business.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:16SPEAKER_06: Like, if I was her, because here's the thing.
- 25:19SPEAKER_06: If I was her, I would be live it as well.
- 25:21SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 25:21SPEAKER_06: I would be so mad, like blinded by anger.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 25:24SPEAKER_06: I would personally reach out to them and be like, just letting you know you just did this to Kelly Clarkson.
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:29SPEAKER_06: But I wouldn't do it to the world.
- 25:32SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 25:33SPEAKER_06: Because now eight million people are coming out of the small business.
- 25:35SPEAKER_06: Which also in the end, I feel like this is only good for the small business.
- 25:38SPEAKER_06: In the end.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: My thing on it is just like I've seen so many takes.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: Like this was like the story of the week.
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: And that's why I'm surprised I even wanted to bring it.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: But I just wanted to share the outlooks of everyone.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: Like some people are like, okay, like, okay, she dresses normally, goes into this shop because she's like, doesn't want to like be in a badal pantsuit and be like singing like a cover.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: Like she wanted to be like anonymous, go in.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: And some people are arguing and being like, okay, Hallie Clark's being treated like a normal person, like a whatever, you know what I'm saying?
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: Like, that is most people's argument, which I know is kind of what you were saying.
- 26:14SPEAKER_06: It's not saying that she needs to get over it because she was just a normal person.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she was just a normal person, and like people are just like, okay, well, you know what I mean?
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: If you're profile, then like, not profile, what is the word?
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Just like, yeah, just like she looked poor to that person was like to the other bird.
- 26:30SPEAKER_06: That's profiling.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: And I I don't know.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: It's hard because she is a celebrity and there is all of that, but I do understand the frustration of just on a human level, of just being treated poorly and someone talking down to you.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: And also the store owner came out.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: Did you see he's like the co-owner?
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: He's very turnt.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: He has that like long bob, like the long, like you know, straight bob.
- 26:52SPEAKER_04: Oh, I didn't know.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: So that is what I kept seeing.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: Of like the store owner came out, he like was the first to be in the press.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: He was like, I am.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: He was ready to be on camera with his bob.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: And he was like, I'm attacked by Kelly Clerkson.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: Like, she attacked us.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm feeling threatened by her.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: Pretty much just saying that, like, there's been threats.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: I don't think, I mean, maybe I'm wrong.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: I don't think anyone's threatened the shop.
- 27:14SPEAKER_06: Oh, I'm sure they have.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 27:16SPEAKER_06: People these days are probably sending death threats to the bomb.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: Are you serious?
- 27:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, oh hell.
- 27:21SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: I did not, yeah.
- 27:22SPEAKER_06: That's how people are.
- 27:23SPEAKER_06: They're probably, yeah.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: But it's just like the phrase of like, um, like Keller Clarkson is a threat, is or you know what I mean?
- 27:30SPEAKER_06: I think they're more so saying what Kelly did caused them to now have threats.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 27:35SPEAKER_06: Which I think is true.
- 27:36SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 27:37SPEAKER_06: And which is why I think she should have.
- 27:38SPEAKER_06: And I'm a Kelly Clarkson defender.
- 27:39SPEAKER_06: I love her.
- 27:40SPEAKER_06: I think she's amazing.
- 27:41SPEAKER_06: I also think that this was just like a moment of anger and she just went for it.
- 27:44SPEAKER_06: But she's doubling down.
- 27:45SPEAKER_06: She's like, oh, now we're lying.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 27:47SPEAKER_06: Now I'm like, I I see her now.
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: She's now trying to prove, yeah.
- 27:51SPEAKER_06: And I and I just I understand.
- 27:52SPEAKER_06: I understand being so mad that somebody treated you poorly when you could have bought the whole, you could have bought the whole store.
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:58SPEAKER_06: And and and paid their salaries.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: For me though, like I don't care how much money I have.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: Like, if I go in and I understand that experience, I'm one of those people I look at that person and I'm just like, why can't I get the bird?
- 28:08SPEAKER_06: Like in that moment, I am very like she should have been treated fine if she had no money.
- 28:13SPEAKER_06: Like I'm totally with you on that, but I'm saying in her standpoint, it's like plus.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: No, no, I I'm on that other side of it where I'm just saying that like I'm so direct in moments where I'm just like, oh, but I want to buy the bird.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: Like I'm just like, don't direct me to this little choo-choo train for$2,000.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: I want this bird.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 28:27SPEAKER_06: I also think$2,000 for like a piece is still expensive.
- 28:31SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 28:31SPEAKER_06: So I'm like, I don't know.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: What's the standard of like profiling someone to really being like you can afford$15,000 or you can afford$2,000?
- 28:39SPEAKER_06: Because to me, I'm like if you can afford a$2,000 something, I'm like, I you I feel like you can afford a$15,000.
- 28:44SPEAKER_06: Exactly if you're spending$2,000 on a a knickknack.
- 28:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 28:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 28:47SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: That's how yeah.
- 28:48SPEAKER_06: But to me, also like customer service, like no matter what they look like, I'm not even saying this to be like performative or whatever.
- 28:54SPEAKER_06: No matter what they look like, no matter what you think they can, whatever, you have to treat them as if they are a paying customer that could buy anything.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: Customer service sucks.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: There's two sides of the coin.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: Customer service sucks.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: They need a whole training.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: Do I think those people are going to tra uh change?
- 29:09SPEAKER_01: Absolutely not.
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: Like this whole controversy is not going to make them like look inward and be like, I now need to like have the best top-of-the-line service.
- 29:18SPEAKER_06: I think it will make them look inward.
- 29:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 29:20SPEAKER_06: Really?
- 29:21SPEAKER_06: You never know who you're talking to.
- 29:23SPEAKER_01: I know, but I'm just saying, if they were that pretentious for years and years and years, do you think that this whole thing is going to make them like super out of fear?
- 29:29SPEAKER_06: If they feel so threatened and everything, not Dutch bros.
- 29:34SPEAKER_06: I don't think it's going to be like my pleasure.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:36SPEAKER_06: I think he's still going to have a bob.
- 29:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 29:38SPEAKER_06: Like you know what I mean?
- 29:38SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 29:39SPEAKER_06: But I don't know.
- 29:40SPEAKER_06: I think it forces you to you have to look inward a little bit.
- 29:43SPEAKER_06: Because nowadays, 19-year-old girls in, you know, like big hoodies can walk into six million dollar mansions and buy them.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 29:52SPEAKER_06: Like so, like the world is different now.
- 29:54SPEAKER_06: Like young people who are in like pantsuits, which just goes to this conversation, which I'm very confused on.
- 29:59SPEAKER_06: I feel like you'll have good thoughts on this.
- 30:01SPEAKER_06: I thought this was a joke because of how clear the answer is.
- 30:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:04SPEAKER_06: Do you think it's unprofessional to bring an iced coffee to a job interview?
- 30:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:10SPEAKER_06: Have you seen this?
- 30:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:12SPEAKER_06: Why do people think that's okay?
- 30:14SPEAKER_06: Am I old now to think that that's a good one?
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, but why would you want com condensation on their wood interview table?
- 30:20SPEAKER_06: That's what I think about.
- 30:21SPEAKER_06: When are you gonna take a sip?
- 30:22SPEAKER_06: When are you gonna swallow?
- 30:24SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 30:24SPEAKER_06: Coffee breath?
- 30:25SPEAKER_06: Are you gonna ask for a coaster?
- 30:26SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 30:27SPEAKER_06: Like, you're gonna put it on your pant leg and have a ring?
- 30:30SPEAKER_06: No.
- 30:30SPEAKER_06: But the fact that this is like a thing people are talking about, in what world would you bring an iced coffee to a job interview?
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: People are like, well, with the job market right now, like people would.
- 30:37SPEAKER_06: I'm just like But does that make me old now?
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: I'm just like, I was raised by a boomer.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Even you raised by like what Gen Z?
- 30:44SPEAKER_06: Is my how old?
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: I think I don't know what how old your parents are, like five.
- 30:48SPEAKER_06: No, my dad is 40.
- 30:50SPEAKER_06: How old am I?
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: Um 28.
- 30:53SPEAKER_06: My dad is uh 46?
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's so young.
- 30:56SPEAKER_06: No, I know.
- 30:57SPEAKER_06: He was like one.
- 30:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, even with that, like And then my mom is in her 50s.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: Um, oh.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: Um nothing.
- 31:05SPEAKER_01: But anyway, with gum, like with gum, coffee, anything.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: I'm just like, you don't bring that stuff in the interview.
- 31:10SPEAKER_01: Like we were taught literally college like prep course, like interview prep, anything like that.
- 31:15SPEAKER_06: A bottle of water.
- 31:16SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 31:16SPEAKER_06: Like I would do a water, a bottle of water.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't even bring a bottle of water.
- 31:19SPEAKER_06: I would, because my mouth will get dry.
- 31:20SPEAKER_06: I would bring a little bottle of water.
- 31:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:22SPEAKER_06: I like that.
- 31:22SPEAKER_06: That's I would do that.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:24SPEAKER_06: Um, but anyway, um, I hope she gets her bird.
- 31:29SPEAKER_06: Um she won't.
- 31:30SPEAKER_01: I think they changed the price.
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: Well, they changed the price to like 15 million or something.
- 31:33SPEAKER_06: She should now.
- 31:34SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 31:34SPEAKER_06: I would something monetize off of that.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: I mean if if it's listed at 15,000, she should get it at 50,000.
- 31:40SPEAKER_06: But also say people at her level should handle things privately like that.
- 31:43SPEAKER_06: Like, don't annihilate someone.
- 31:45SPEAKER_06: Because in my mind, if I own a store in Brooklyn, I'd be so grateful somebody was even walking in.
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:50SPEAKER_06: I'd be like, thank you.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 31:52SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 31:52SPEAKER_06: Do you want to do your um the Bryce Hall one?
- 31:56SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: I'd like to preface this um a little trigger warning.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: We will be talking about um domestic violence, not in depth.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: I'm not talking about the case, but I actually don't even know this about.
- 32:07SPEAKER_06: I just saw a cover with Bryce Hall.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: Bryce Hall arrested on felony domestic violence charges against his ex-girlfriend, like Mika.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: And his team is denying and denying all of the charges.
- 32:22SPEAKER_01: And um now they're saying that like they're just saying everything is made up, and they're coming now doing like a going to be doing like a defamation suit, all of that.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: Um, but she's providing evidence.
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: Like, she f I think this was like file, this happened in late summer, like, and now it's like surfacing, like not to make you talk about the case, but can I ask what she's claiming?
- 32:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that he like that he was like hitting her.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she has like um and she has like videos and marks and yeah, I think she has things.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: Dang, yeah.
- 32:54SPEAKER_01: But people are just like the the conversation online um was saying that they saw something like this coming, which is awful.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: Like I would have never wanted anything from him, yeah, like that to happen to her.
- 33:05SPEAKER_01: Um, but it is just crazy.
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: It just it does not matter who you are.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: Um, this happens to this can happen to anyone.
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:12SPEAKER_01: So anyway, it was just a crazy, it was just a crazy breaking news story of like, but people were kind of like fork found in the kitchen.
- 33:20SPEAKER_01: Like people were pretty much just being like, Oh, we could have seen this be aggressive behavior from him, all of that.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: Um I'm so I hate that this happened.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: Um and this is all like it all needs to go through its proper proper channels, you know what I mean?
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: But it seems like she has enough information.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: She uh filed a police report, like everything's coming out, and so I side with her.
- 33:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, of course.
- 33:42SPEAKER_06: Well, I'm glad she said something because the odds of him having done it in the past and maybe they didn't submit it.
- 33:47SPEAKER_01: This could spark other things.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: Possible.
- 33:49SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 33:50SPEAKER_06: He Bryce Hall does not come across my desk.
- 33:53SPEAKER_06: He is not on my algorithm.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Honestly, I've not seen him since he like hip thrusted in 2020.
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then yeah, and then you think he started boxing anyway.
- 34:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but it's just yeah, it's a lot going on these days.
- 34:03SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's unfortunate.
- 34:05SPEAKER_01: From the hype house to that, to the jail house title.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 34:11SPEAKER_06: Okay, well, I hope that she's fine and easy.
- 34:14SPEAKER_06: Okay, and I hope that justice is served however that's supposed to be.
- 34:18SPEAKER_06: Um, pretty little liar star Keegan Allen brutally attacked and robbed at gunpoint in Hollywood.
- 34:23SPEAKER_06: Did you see this?
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: I saw the video, and everyone's like, why didn't you call 911?
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: Why did you immediately take a video?
- 34:30SPEAKER_06: Which I see him in that way.
- 34:31SPEAKER_06: I that's why it's actually why I'm talking about this.
- 34:34SPEAKER_06: So the 37-year-old actor shared disturbing surveillance footage of two masked men allegedly pistol whipping him.
- 34:41SPEAKER_06: Pistol whipping.
- 34:42unknown: Yeah.
- 34:43SPEAKER_06: Oh my god, there's nothing wrong for one of us in this here now, and stealing his Rolex at knife point in West Hollywood, leaving him bloodied cheering for his life.
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:53SPEAKER_06: Police are investigating and no arrests have been announced.
- 34:56SPEAKER_06: The reason I'm talking about this is the photo he took of him or the video he took of himself with the blood is so tea.
- 35:05SPEAKER_06: And if I got jumped, I'm sorry, and I'm like alive.
- 35:09SPEAKER_06: The first thing I'm doing is opening up that 0.5 selfie camera, and I'm going.
- 35:16SPEAKER_06: Wait, this looks good actually.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: Like, guys.
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 35:21SPEAKER_06: I'll post that later.
- 35:23SPEAKER_06: But that I literally was like, that like that'd be my album cover.
- 35:26SPEAKER_06: Like, yeah, like I would do the same thing.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: But people were hating on him so much and be like, um, why are you online?
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: Why are you doing that?
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: But I'm I'm thinking he probably called 911 waiting for the ambulance.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: And knowing you, you would have gotten that like lighting of like wee woo wee-woo.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: And like with the lighting.
- 35:43SPEAKER_06: And the reflection of my glasses, the red and blue.
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: No, you would have loved that moment.
- 35:46SPEAKER_06: No, I agree.
- 35:47SPEAKER_06: I would have been looking up on TikTok like um just got jumped audios.
- 35:50SPEAKER_06: Like, and then doing like the like lip talking.
- 35:53SPEAKER_06: Like lip syncing to an audio.
- 35:54SPEAKER_06: But anyway, I'm obsessed with that.
- 35:56SPEAKER_06: Well, I'm glad he's okay.
- 35:56SPEAKER_06: I hope he's fine.
- 35:57SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I'm glad he's fine, and I hope that people get arrested or whatever.
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: But nice pick.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 36:04SPEAKER_06: Okay, we're gonna get into our ICUs.
- 36:06SPEAKER_06: Well, you said both.
- 36:07SPEAKER_06: We had oh yeah, because we have the same story.
- 36:09SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 36:09SPEAKER_06: Um, we're gonna get into our ICUs, which our ICUs are just things that we have.
- 36:13SPEAKER_06: It always comes after a story about something that kind of resonates.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: Wait, I don't like that.
- 36:19SPEAKER_06: Also, have we been doing too many stories about like physical like violence?
- 36:23SPEAKER_06: The amount of times I go into the ICU and I'm like, we just talked about this and now maybe so.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: But that's pop cool.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: I'm the world is getting crazy.
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: Like, we're covering these these things with pop stars because these things are happening.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: Like, so it's like, stop.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: Stop, stop, honestly.
- 36:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah, but um the ICU is about things that we've beaten to death that we love so much.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: I hate it.
- 36:45SPEAKER_06: But that is like the definite that is why it's called ICU.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I hate that.
- 36:48SPEAKER_06: Anyway, but anyway, okay, so what is yours?
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: Mine is the show Malcolm in the Middle.
- 36:55SPEAKER_06: Oh, nice.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: Have you ever seen that show?
- 36:58SPEAKER_06: I watched it.
- 37:01SPEAKER_06: I think when there was like nothing else on.
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:03SPEAKER_06: I watched Malcolm in the Middle.
- 37:05SPEAKER_01: Guys.
- 37:06SPEAKER_06: Is it Marion Lawrence?
- 37:08SPEAKER_06: Is Martin Lawrence in Malcolm in the Middle?
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: No.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: It's he's not.
- 37:12SPEAKER_06: This is a Who's like the main character in Malcolm in the Middle?
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: Uh it's um Freddie or Frankie Muniz.
- 37:20SPEAKER_06: Oh, I am thinking of a completely different show.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: What are you thinking?
- 37:26SPEAKER_06: Oh my gosh.
- 37:27SPEAKER_06: Huh?
- 37:28SPEAKER_06: I'm thinking of Martin.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: No.
- 37:31SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: No.
- 37:33SPEAKER_06: Sorry, go ahead.
- 37:34SPEAKER_06: So Martin, Malcolm.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: No, yes.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: Martin in the middle.
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 37:37SPEAKER_06: So go ahead.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: Um, anyway, so Malcolm in the Middle, guys, I could talk about this all day long.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: This is my favorite show of all time.
- 37:47SPEAKER_01: And this is gonna sound so funny because I don't talk about all the time, but this show could genuinely, I don't want to talk, I was gonna say bring me out of a coma.
- 37:54SPEAKER_01: Everything is related.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I hate all the terms today.
- 37:57SPEAKER_01: But this show, like, if I hear the theme song literally arisen, okay?
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: But this show is about a lower middle class family, and um, the mom, Lois, the dad is Hal, and they have four sons, okay?
- 38:17SPEAKER_01: They have Dewey the youngest, and then they have Malcolm is the second youngest, and then um Reese, and then they have Francis.
- 38:27SPEAKER_06: This family got some names.
- 38:28SPEAKER_06: They do, they're having a name off.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: So, not to give too much away, I know it's been out for like 20 years, but Reese is at like military school, and the three boys live live at home, and it is such a well-written show.
- 38:42SPEAKER_01: Like, me and Kristoff put it on.
- 38:43SPEAKER_01: Like most nights when we just have dinner, we put it on, and I cry, I'm like crying laughing because that show gave me my humor.
- 38:51SPEAKER_01: Like, there was like Napoleon Dynamite that the movie you talked about, you compared it to like what Natural Libra.
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: Not really right.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: No, I just awful comparison.
- 38:59SPEAKER_06: No, I'm not I don't think they're the same movie.
- 39:01SPEAKER_06: I just put them in the same pocket of like types of movies, yeah.
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: No, but yeah, I understand.
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: No, but yeah, but things that built me, and so that that built me like my comedic timing, everything about literally everything about me was built from that show.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: That's funny.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: And so you need to watch it.
- 39:19SPEAKER_05: Maybe okay.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: So if you tonight you just need to start by episode one, um, just keep watching it.
- 39:25SPEAKER_01: It is just the best show ever.
- 39:26SPEAKER_01: Have you seen Malcolm in the Middle?
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: Isn't it so funny?
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: It is so funny.
- 39:30unknown: The first one's better than that, the second one.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: First, uh, oh, I haven't watched the second one.
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: There's apparently like a re like a second one with Frankie Muniz like all grown up and like everything, but the original series is like brings me to tears.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: I can like think of eight scenes right now.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: I love a reboot.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's so many reboots.
- 39:47SPEAKER_01: There's so many reboots.
- 39:48SPEAKER_06: Where's this and Cody reboot?
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 39:50SPEAKER_06: I need that.
- 39:51SPEAKER_01: No, talk to Dylan and Cole.
- 39:53SPEAKER_06: I will.
- 39:53SPEAKER_06: I love that.
- 39:54SPEAKER_06: Shout out, Malcolm.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: Okay, would you watch it?
- 39:57SPEAKER_06: No.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: I don't think I would.
- 39:58SPEAKER_06: I just like a period piece.
- 40:00SPEAKER_06: At this point, it's a period piece.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: It's a period piece that's still relevant.
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: The jokes still hit.
- 40:06SPEAKER_06: Mine kind of like is a cousin to your ICU.
- 40:09SPEAKER_06: My ICU is shows that I've never actually watched.
- 40:14SPEAKER_06: Let me explain.
- 40:14SPEAKER_06: I love that.
- 40:15SPEAKER_06: I there are shows that I am obsessed with.
- 40:17SPEAKER_06: I've never seen one episode.
- 40:18SPEAKER_06: I understand.
- 40:19SPEAKER_06: But I've seen clips of them on social media.
- 40:21SPEAKER_06: I love that.
- 40:22SPEAKER_06: I am obsessed with Dancing with the Stars.
- 40:24SPEAKER_06: I have never watched an episode.
- 40:26SPEAKER_06: Ever.
- 40:27SPEAKER_06: I've never watched an episode of Dancing with the Stars.
- 40:29SPEAKER_06: I am locked in.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 40:31SPEAKER_06: On Dancing with the Stars.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: That was me with the show Shameless.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: I had watched almost the whole thing from watching clips on TikTok.
- 40:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 40:37SPEAKER_06: And even there's like there's even podcasts that I love.
- 40:41SPEAKER_06: I've never seen an episode.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: Just watch it.
- 40:42SPEAKER_06: Like truly.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: Like that's how people do that with Love Island too.
- 40:45SPEAKER_06: Oh, can I say this?
- 40:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 40:47SPEAKER_06: Love Island, if I start losing interest halfway through, I'm locked in just from clips.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 40:52SPEAKER_06: Like this past season I didn't even watch till the end.
- 40:54SPEAKER_06: But I was like, I really hope that Bryson Trinity win.
- 40:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:57SPEAKER_06: And they did.
- 40:58SPEAKER_06: Perfect.
- 40:59SPEAKER_06: But I was, but I hadn't watched the last 20 episodes.
- 41:02SPEAKER_06: So I just love that.
- 41:03SPEAKER_06: Like you're allowed to love a show if you've never seen it.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: Just like you're allowed to love our podcast from just watching the clips.
- 41:09SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 41:10SPEAKER_06: People who are like, oh, I love the podcast.
- 41:11SPEAKER_06: I'm like, great.
- 41:11SPEAKER_06: And I'm like, are you a clipper or a watcher?
- 41:13SPEAKER_06: And they're like, I'm a clipper.
- 41:14SPEAKER_06: I'm like, period.
- 41:14SPEAKER_06: Like you're allowed to be a couple of things.
- 41:15SPEAKER_06: I love that.
- 41:16SPEAKER_01: Literally, yeah.
- 41:16SPEAKER_06: You are allowed to be a clipper.
- 41:18SPEAKER_06: Just don't lie.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:19SPEAKER_06: I remember one time I released a song.
- 41:21SPEAKER_06: Did I say this story on the podcast already?
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: Uh maybe, but just tell it again.
- 41:25SPEAKER_06: I announced that I was releasing a song.
- 41:26SPEAKER_06: Like the song had not come out yet.
- 41:28SPEAKER_06: I just posted that it was coming out in like three weeks from now.
- 41:31SPEAKER_06: Somebody came up to me and goes, Hey man, I loved your song.
- 41:36SPEAKER_06: I added it to my gym playlist.
- 41:37SPEAKER_06: I listened to it while I was working out today.
- 41:39SPEAKER_06: You didn't.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: The song's not out.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: You didn't because it didn't care.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: There's not a whisper of it out.
- 41:43SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 41:43SPEAKER_06: It didn't.
- 41:44SPEAKER_06: You didn't.
- 41:44SPEAKER_06: But it's just-I just know that I hate, like, don't lie.
- 41:47SPEAKER_01: I just don't like because yeah.
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: I had nothing else to add, but I don't like it.
- 41:51SPEAKER_06: No, I don't like it.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: Stop.
- 41:52SPEAKER_06: So just know if you're a clipper, I know.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 41:54SPEAKER_06: I know you're a clipper.
- 41:56SPEAKER_06: Okay, let's get into our We Need to Talks.
- 41:58SPEAKER_06: Um, our We Need to Talks is an advice segment.
- 42:01SPEAKER_06: Um, I'm very thankful for all of these submissions we have today.
- 42:05SPEAKER_06: I will say this, y'all.
- 42:07SPEAKER_06: Some of y'all are writing essays.
- 42:09SPEAKER_01: This is their outlet.
- 42:10SPEAKER_06: And I'm grateful for that.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: And the thing is, is we want to edit it down, but we can't.
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: Like, we have to.
- 42:19SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna read it.
- 42:20SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 42:20SPEAKER_06: But but let's get started.
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: Let me lock in so I don't get lost.
- 42:24SPEAKER_06: Let's get started because we have lunch plans.
- 42:26SPEAKER_06: Um hi.
- 42:31SPEAKER_06: Let me be honest.
- 42:32SPEAKER_06: It says Ola, which I love that.
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: I love Ola.
- 42:35SPEAKER_06: And I we're keeping these anonymous.
- 42:37SPEAKER_06: My name is Blank.
- 42:38SPEAKER_06: Lauren was my manager at Gathering Place while I was in my nonprofit working era of my life.
- 42:44SPEAKER_06: Let's get into it.
- 42:45SPEAKER_06: I met this guy.
- 42:46SPEAKER_06: He's a choreographer.
- 42:47SPEAKER_06: Tomorrow I am shooting content with him in a different mountain new Mexican city than the one I am currently located at.
- 42:56SPEAKER_06: I'm upset.
- 42:57SPEAKER_06: Like this is funny.
- 42:58SPEAKER_06: Obsessed.
- 42:58SPEAKER_06: Not upset.
- 42:58SPEAKER_06: I stopped halfway through that word.
- 43:00SPEAKER_06: We just met during this era I entered months ago.
- 43:03SPEAKER_06: Parentheses.
- 43:04SPEAKER_06: Decided to I don't know.
- 43:10SPEAKER_06: This person is making me laugh.
- 43:12SPEAKER_06: Decided to go on a 95 plus day rebranding trip throughout Mexico.
- 43:15SPEAKER_06: The problem is he likes me more than I.
- 43:18SPEAKER_06: The thing is, I know who wrote this, and I'm just laughing and picturing this person's face.
- 43:21SPEAKER_06: The problem is he likes me more than I do.
- 43:24SPEAKER_06: I also met another guy who also likes me more than I do.
- 43:26SPEAKER_06: This is a common problem I've been having throughout my journey through Mexico.
- 43:30SPEAKER_06: I want to stop being a heartbreaker.
- 43:33SPEAKER_06: How does one open up their heart in order to finally find true love?
- 43:37SPEAKER_06: Help.
- 43:38SPEAKER_06: SOS Ayuda.
- 43:41SPEAKER_06: Ayuda.
- 43:43SPEAKER_06: XOXO from Mexico.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: So he's like, I'm coming, I'm going from one mountain y part of Mexico to another.
- 43:50SPEAKER_01: To another one.
- 43:50SPEAKER_06: Has nothing to do with the story.
- 43:51SPEAKER_06: Wanted us to know he's in a mountain part of Mexico.
- 43:53SPEAKER_01: No, I sorry, but the way he described it, I actually want all submissions like this because I have a scene set.
- 43:58SPEAKER_06: Oh, this.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: Like he painted a picture for us.
- 44:01SPEAKER_06: So I will say this.
- 44:03SPEAKER_06: If you don't like somebody, you don't like somebody.
- 44:04SPEAKER_06: Like you can't force yourself to like them.
- 44:06SPEAKER_06: Like that to me, that just means that person's not the person for you.
- 44:10SPEAKER_06: And I think that you're a heartbreaker because you just don't really like them.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:14SPEAKER_06: And I think the person you're supposed to be with, you will like.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: Also, certain personalities like have like I had to be very careful with this in my life of just my kindness being taken as like not interest, but just being like, if someone has a crush on me that I didn't know.
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: This person because we could be making people think that yes, and knowing in with context of knowing who this person is because they said their name and the anonymous thing, um, of their personality is very intentional and be like, oh, I love your hat.
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: I love your outfit.
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: Like, ooh, you know what I mean?
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: Like, this is this you're gonna be able to do that.
- 44:46SPEAKER_06: So maybe see if you are giving off vibes to make people think that that you're interested in.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: And then just tailor that back if that's not what you're wanting to give and you're not wanting all these situations.
- 44:55SPEAKER_01: But to open your heart, you have to see if your 90 plus day rebranding trip is gonna turn it into a permanent staycation or not.
- 45:02SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm saying?
- 45:03SPEAKER_01: Like, or like, or don't start something if you're gonna come back.
- 45:07SPEAKER_06: So I think take these two things.
- 45:08SPEAKER_06: One, you don't have to like somebody you don't like.
- 45:10SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 45:11SPEAKER_06: And the person you're supposed to be with, you will like.
- 45:12SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 45:13SPEAKER_06: Two, check and see what vibes you're given.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 45:16SPEAKER_06: To get them there.
- 45:17SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 45:18SPEAKER_06: Oh my god, SA, M L A.
- 45:20SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 45:23SPEAKER_06: Okay, so I have a very complicated relationship with money, Moolah, dollar bills, whatever you want to call it.
- 45:28SPEAKER_06: And like most of our adult issues, we can probably trace this back right back to childhood trauma.
- 45:32SPEAKER_06: Here's a situation.
- 45:33SPEAKER_06: I'm marrying into a family that gives.
- 45:35SPEAKER_06: And when I say gives, I don't mean picking up the tab for everyone's chilies, triple dippers.
- 45:40SPEAKER_06: Although honestly love that too.
- 45:41SPEAKER_06: I'm talking about Venmoing my fiancee and me thousands of dollars, literally moments after we got engaged, with a little note that said wedding planning, just casually.
- 45:49SPEAKER_06: Like that's a normal Tuesday.
- 45:53SPEAKER_06: Count your blessings.
- 45:55SPEAKER_06: Meanwhile, I come from a very different world.
- 45:58SPEAKER_06: One where money wasn't always there, where you figured things out because you had to, and where I still regularly help my single mom cover overdraft fees.
- 46:05SPEAKER_06: Oh.
- 46:06SPEAKER_06: And here's the thing: I'm incredibly proud of where I came from.
- 46:09SPEAKER_06: I'm proud of what I've worked for, what I've overcome, and the fact that I've learned to stand on my own two feet.
- 46:14SPEAKER_06: But sometimes I wonder if I'm a little too proud because I, as wonderful and generous as my future in-laws are, I struggle to accept their gifts.
- 46:21SPEAKER_06: Not because I'm ungrateful, quite the opposite, actually.
- 46:24SPEAKER_06: I'm beyond appreciative, but the dollar amounts are so far outside of my comfort zone that instead of feeling excited, I somewhat feel anxious, guilty, like I owe somebody something.
- 46:32SPEAKER_06: And I know their generosity comes from a place of love.
- 46:34SPEAKER_06: They aren't asking for anything in return.
- 46:36SPEAKER_06: They simply have the means to give.
- 46:38SPEAKER_06: And they genuinely want to, but my brain, my brain cannot comprehend the concept of somebody giving that much money without there being some sort of catch.
- 46:47SPEAKER_06: So here's what I need some outside perspective.
- 46:49SPEAKER_06: I actually love this submission, by the way.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 46:52SPEAKER_06: Um, am I letting my upbringing and pride get in the way of accepting love and generosity?
- 46:56SPEAKER_06: Or is it completely reasonable to have boundaries around financial gifts, even when they're given with the best intentions?
- 47:03SPEAKER_06: At what point does accepting generosity become something I need to learn to be comfortable with?
- 47:07SPEAKER_06: And at what point is it okay to say, this is incredibly kind, but it just but it's just too much for me?
- 47:12SPEAKER_06: Basically, am I being dramatic, or is this one of those moments where I need to trust my gut and stand my ground?
- 47:18SPEAKER_06: Because apparently learning how to receive is a whole different skill than learning how to survive.
- 47:23SPEAKER_06: Oh my gosh.
- 47:24SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 47:24SPEAKER_06: Author.
- 47:25SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, brought us to tears.
- 47:26SPEAKER_01: The last two, the last two submissions, yeah.
- 47:29SPEAKER_01: Y'all need to collab on a story.
- 47:31SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 47:31SPEAKER_06: Okay, I love this submission because I have been in this boat for a while, but specifically the last four months.
- 47:41SPEAKER_06: So my story is like I grew up with a lot of money and always had whatever I wanted.
- 47:47SPEAKER_06: And then when I turned 18 and I moved to college, it was the complete opposite, like completely dropped on my own, nothing.
- 47:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 47:53SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 47:53SPEAKER_06: So I've been somebody that for honestly the last 10 years has had like a dollar in my bank account at all times.
- 47:59SPEAKER_06: Like I like truly.
- 48:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:01SPEAKER_06: But I have been surrounded by the most generous people ever who have given me thousands of dollars at points, you know?
- 48:06SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 48:06SPEAKER_06: And especially in the last, you know, the last this past summer, I have been on the receiving end of things that I could have never imagined somebody just giving to me.
- 48:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:15SPEAKER_06: Like at like, like I'm not even gonna get into it.
- 48:18SPEAKER_06: Like it's insane.
- 48:19SPEAKER_06: And I am the type that it's it's hard to receive things, but I also there's that thing in me, not out of a place of expecting it or thinking I deserve it, where I do want the thing that's given, that's being given.
- 48:31SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 48:31SPEAKER_06: I do, I'm not gonna lie and say I don't want the thing.
- 48:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:35SPEAKER_06: Like I feel like I feel like this person, you can't lie and say you don't want thousands of dollars.
- 48:38SPEAKER_06: Like it does make life more comfortable.
- 48:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:40SPEAKER_06: But you're also like, I don't, because of my upbringing and how my mind looks at this, I feel so bad receiving this.
- 48:45SPEAKER_06: I feel like I owe them something.
- 48:48SPEAKER_06: A perspective that I had to get is for people with money like this, that is the equivalent of somebody covering your coffee.
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:56SPEAKER_06: Like there's somebody in my life right now where it's like, oh, like you want to come do this?
- 49:01SPEAKER_06: Like, I'll pay for everything.
- 49:02SPEAKER_06: And it's thousands of dollars.
- 49:04SPEAKER_06: And I got, I was so uncomfortable with it at first, and I felt like I owed this person something.
- 49:09SPEAKER_06: But I had to realize this is the equivalent of Loring buying me dinner because these people have so much money.
- 49:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:16SPEAKER_06: So I think you have to realize, like, if you've done the work, especially if this is your family, they trust your intentions enough to know that you're not just there for money.
- 49:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:23SPEAKER_06: Somebody who has money can scope out somebody who's just there to receive.
- 49:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:27SPEAKER_06: And they would not be this generous.
- 49:28SPEAKER_06: So your intentions are trusted.
- 49:30SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 49:30SPEAKER_06: And I think that you need to just accept it.
- 49:32SPEAKER_06: There's not, I don't think you need to stand your ground.
- 49:34SPEAKER_01: And I don't want to be a divisive thing.
- 49:36SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna try to compliment it so we don't confuse a person, but no, but give both give both perspectives.
- 49:41SPEAKER_01: I will say too, um, I think that it's one of those things that if you feel like later on that like you you already said that the intentions are good from the parents and everything like that.
- 49:54SPEAKER_01: My only hesitation would ever be of like someone giving so much, and then at the end, them at any at any point where they say, like, oh, well, I but I gave you so much here.
- 50:06SPEAKER_06: If it's ever used as ammo, if it's ever used as ammo, that's where it stops.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm it seems like that is not the right.
- 50:11SPEAKER_01: But I'm saying, like, keep receiving and just don't have any guilt of it.
- 50:16SPEAKER_01: But these seconds are used, they'd be like, Oh, well, maybe because I'm contributing so much money towards this wedding, maybe these p what is it, peonies?
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: I don't know, flowers.
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: Maybe these peonies peonies, flowers, peonies, um, will will look perfect.
- 50:34SPEAKER_01: And I like this color, like as soon as it starts being like that.
- 50:37SPEAKER_06: Oh, I had no idea.
- 50:38SPEAKER_06: Like, so sorry, like you don't have to like like I can do this on my own then.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, but you just need to put a stop to it uh immediately.
- 50:44SPEAKER_01: I like those are those are the the flashing signs, and also too, like when they give you money, like redistribute it.
- 50:51SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm saying?
- 50:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, send a letter to your mom.
- 50:53SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I I was gonna say, yeah.
- 50:55SPEAKER_06: Okay, so my ex and I broke up because he said he couldn't be the man for me.
- 50:58SPEAKER_06: And the previous week he had been acting strange, saying he was going through it, so I let him have some space, but didn't ask too many questions.
- 51:06SPEAKER_06: And 24 hours before we finally had a convo, he ghosted me while he was in the same state as me.
- 51:11SPEAKER_06: And I said, Oh nah, I was going to end things over text, but I decided to wait, and we had a FaceTime breakup, whatever.
- 51:18SPEAKER_06: So I said, Okay, bye.
- 51:19SPEAKER_06: Then I was like, wait, no, can I say this?
- 51:22SPEAKER_06: Not one punctuation yet.
- 51:24SPEAKER_06: By the way, I love whoever this is.
- 51:25SPEAKER_06: You just started typing.
- 51:26SPEAKER_06: I'm obsessed with that.
- 51:28SPEAKER_06: Then I was like, wait, no, what's T's?
- 51:31SPEAKER_06: What's T's like T E A S?
- 51:34SPEAKER_06: What's T with the way you were acting right before we broke up?
- 51:39SPEAKER_06: I'm not okay with that actually.
- 51:41SPEAKER_06: And there has been the smallest of interactions since he removed me on everything because I guess he thought I spoke on him, which if I did, I was just saying what you did, so maybe change your actions.
- 51:52SPEAKER_06: That was one sentence.
- 51:55SPEAKER_06: Um I am not making fun of that is turnt to me.
- 51:59SPEAKER_06: Like I love how you are just getting your thoughts out.
- 52:01SPEAKER_06: So I love it.
- 52:03SPEAKER_06: We're not done.
- 52:03SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 52:04SPEAKER_06: Anyways, he adds me back on stuff and now claims to a mutual friend we need a reunion.
- 52:09SPEAKER_06: Mind you, we weren't together more than six months, but we were friends for a couple years prior.
- 52:14SPEAKER_06: So I know him, I'd say well.
- 52:17SPEAKER_06: And I'm not trying to I'm not trying to be like Lot's wife, but I fear I do want more clarity.
- 52:23SPEAKER_06: Should I reach out?
- 52:25SPEAKER_06: Lot's wife, I think, turned to a pillar of salt.
- 52:27SPEAKER_06: Should I oh cause she looked back?
- 52:29SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 52:29SPEAKER_06: Oh, period.
- 52:30SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah.
- 52:31SPEAKER_06: Should I reach Oh, honestly love that.
- 52:33SPEAKER_06: Should I reach out, even though I hate doing so because he isn't fully aware, I think of how I feel, or just look past it and shut up.
- 52:40SPEAKER_06: Thanks.
- 52:43SPEAKER_06: It depends on what you want here.
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: What's that meme that's like um to what would go?
- 52:51SPEAKER_01: What would you know what I mean?
- 52:52SPEAKER_01: What was that, Tokyo Tony?
- 52:56SPEAKER_06: What's your favorite song to dance to at the club?
- 52:59SPEAKER_06: Um, don't sing it and don't say it.
- 53:02SPEAKER_06: But what is it?
- 53:04SPEAKER_06: Girl, what am I supposed to do?
- 53:06SPEAKER_06: Exactly.
- 53:10SPEAKER_01: That's how I felt.
- 53:11SPEAKER_06: No, I know.
- 53:12SPEAKER_06: I see this person.
- 53:13SPEAKER_06: I love that.
- 53:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:14SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 53:18SPEAKER_06: Say what you I say what you want to say.
- 53:20SPEAKER_06: If you want this person to know how you feel, literally just literally send a voice memo.
- 53:23SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 53:24SPEAKER_06: Hey, I heard you were wanting a reunion.
- 53:25SPEAKER_06: All these feelings kind of came back up.
- 53:26SPEAKER_06: This is kind of how I feel about everything.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:28SPEAKER_06: Um, take it as you please.
- 53:30SPEAKER_06: And then from the response of that, you can decide if you want to reunion or if you want to, you know, whatever.
- 53:34SPEAKER_01: But I also why is the the person telling the friend that they want to reunion?
- 53:39SPEAKER_06: No, it's weird.
- 53:39SPEAKER_06: It's weird.
- 53:40SPEAKER_01: The whole situation's weird.
- 53:41SPEAKER_06: It's weird.
- 53:41SPEAKER_06: You're being put in a weird position.
- 53:42SPEAKER_06: Also, you have done it.
- 53:43SPEAKER_06: Don't be Lot's wife, actually.
- 53:44SPEAKER_06: You've been nothing wrong here.
- 53:46SPEAKER_06: I genuinely think that you should.
- 53:47SPEAKER_06: Here's the thing.
- 53:48SPEAKER_06: They dated for six months and they were friends for years prior.
- 53:50SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 53:51SPEAKER_06: I think there is a world where you could become just friends with this person.
- 53:54SPEAKER_06: If you think there is a world where you could be just friends with this guy in a group setting and be fine, I think you should reach out and voice your thoughts, whatever.
- 54:00SPEAKER_06: Other than that, I genuinely think you should not be friends with this person.
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: No.
- 54:04SPEAKER_01: What so is the reunion as friends?
- 54:06SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 54:06SPEAKER_06: With another friend, like the friend group.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 54:09SPEAKER_01: Bring the friend group back with no dating, though.
- 54:11SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 54:12SPEAKER_06: I don't think this man has talked about dating.
- 54:14SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 54:14SPEAKER_06: Either way, I'm somebody who likes my voice to be heard regardless of whether or not I'm ever gonna see you again.
- 54:19SPEAKER_06: So if you want to get it off your chest, I don't think it's Lot's wife to send him a voice memo and be like, hey, I just want you to know this, like where I stand.
- 54:25SPEAKER_06: I know you're wanting to like do a reunion.
- 54:27SPEAKER_06: I just want you to like, this is how I feel about the scenario.
- 54:29SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 54:29SPEAKER_06: Just to get it off your chest, call it a day.
- 54:31SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 54:31SPEAKER_06: That's what I think you should do.
- 54:32SPEAKER_06: Last one.
- 54:34SPEAKER_03: Salt.
- 54:34SPEAKER_06: This one's shorter.
- 54:35SPEAKER_06: I always feel like I'm everyone's second choice.
- 54:37SPEAKER_06: I deeply care about all my friendships, and I feel like it's always me putting my friends before myself and going above and beyond for them when I never feel the same in return.
- 54:44SPEAKER_06: Do I start giving less effort?
- 54:46SPEAKER_06: Am I overthinking this?
- 54:47SPEAKER_06: Why don't I feel the same affirmation that I feel I give everyone else around me?
- 54:50SPEAKER_06: Did we do this one already?
- 54:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 54:55SPEAKER_06: If we did it, let's just answer it again.
- 54:56SPEAKER_06: I feel like we may have done this already.
- 54:58SPEAKER_06: Or somebody submitted a similar thing.
- 54:59SPEAKER_01: What's the date on it?
- 55:00SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 55:00SPEAKER_06: I'm I copied and pasted everything.
- 55:02SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 55:02SPEAKER_06: Um, don't do any.
- 55:04SPEAKER_06: I will say this.
- 55:05SPEAKER_06: Whatever you do for any of your friends, do it knowing you may not ever get it back.
- 55:09SPEAKER_06: You may not ever get it in return.
- 55:11SPEAKER_06: And if you are still willing to do it, then do it.
- 55:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:13SPEAKER_06: I do think that it is okay if there are things that you are expecting in a friendship, not because of anything you do for them, but just because you're expecting it, be like, hey, I would love if you show up in this way.
- 55:22SPEAKER_06: I would love if you're intentional with me this way.
- 55:24SPEAKER_06: You need to voice that.
- 55:25SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 55:26SPEAKER_06: Because people can't change things that they don't know are wrong.
- 55:28SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 55:29SPEAKER_06: So you need to just voice and be like, hey, like, and don't do it from a place of like, I always blank, so I want you to blank.
- 55:35SPEAKER_06: Don't do it from that place.
- 55:36SPEAKER_06: That can just be in your brain.
- 55:37SPEAKER_06: You and then you can decide, am I gonna continue to do these things even if I never get them in return?
- 55:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 55:43SPEAKER_06: But you still want these things from your friends.
- 55:45SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 55:45SPEAKER_06: So I think you just need a voice, like, hey, I would be, I would really appreciate if you blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 55:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 55:49SPEAKER_06: And if they don't welcome that conversation, they're not your friend.
- 55:52SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 55:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 55:54SPEAKER_01: And check your intentions.
- 55:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 55:55SPEAKER_01: Are you doing things?
- 55:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: Are you doing things just to receive?
- 56:00SPEAKER_06: Yep.
- 56:00SPEAKER_01: Because that is a lot of people's intentions.
- 56:02SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 56:02SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 56:03SPEAKER_06: That's our episode.
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: That's our episode.
- 56:05SPEAKER_01: Thank y'all.
- 56:06SPEAKER_06: See y'all next week.
- 56:07SPEAKER_06: Bye bye.
- 56:08SPEAKER_06: Bye.
