- Mark Hayes (00:01.166) All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to our live show. Two men in black and white and honest conversation. All right, the NAAC president has made a statement regarding the boycott of the SEC for African American athletes and others. we're starting to see all kinds of athletes of color in the SEC. And what President Derrick Johnson said, Brock, my co-host, who joins us from the lovely confines. Brock Ganeles (00:26.472) Mm. Mark Hayes (00:30.774) Of the upper Hudson River Valley. Brock, Derek Johnson is saying, we're not telling you not to play sports. We're telling you to make a choice and choose not to play in the SEC because you have options. If the SEC, if Alabama is recruiting you to play football, so is Ohio State, so is Michigan, so is every team in the ACC, Miami and Brock. Check this out. The top five, the top five payrolls in college football, I think only had one SEC team in there. I'm gonna check on that while I get your retort. Brock Ganeles (01:12.746) 'cause you got US USC, UCLA, Oregon, right? You got you got the whole West the whole West Coast swing as well. You know, I'm loving this and I'm hopeful that just a couple of the five star recruits peel away from the SEC and make a statement and go somewhere else. Just to give that whiff of a change in the balance of power and just to scare those fat cats. Mark Hayes (01:17.812) And you got Miami is in there as well. Brock Ganeles (01:40.421) S boosters sitting up there in the luxury boxes that their team's not gonna be as good down the road to where maybe they have even the slightest bit of wake-up call. I'm not confident that'll happen, but maybe that that'll happen. But once again, I still come back to it. This is a really hard ask of maybe 17-year-old kids, 18-year-old kids to say, okay, hey, you don't get to stay close to home if you're from down in the south. And where your family can come and see you play. Going to USC may be great. Hey, who doesn't want to live out in LA and play there? But maybe your family can't go to your games anymore. And maybe the money is the same. Or maybe you always grew up a a fan of University of Georgia and now you have to make this sacrifice. I want these young kids to make it, but I think it's a hard ask. Mark Hayes (02:30.586) $50 million is how much it costs. Yep. So here you go. The five most expensive rosters. you do have a couple of LSU team. You got LSU, you got Oregon, you got Miami, you got Texas is number one. So Texas and LSU. are number one. So Brock Ganeles (03:04.04) Pretty deep MAGA. I mean, I don't know with Miami, it's in the state of Florida. You know, Miami is almost its own region, but they are attached to the rest of that fucking disaster of a state. Yeah, it's I mean Mark Hayes (03:16.01) Right. Ohio State also, number five. So, yeah, so you know, yes. Yes, to come out and say, hey, we're not Brock. You know, why does white America think we're dumb? You know, why do they why do they literally play in our face and think we are stupid? Do they not realize we know how much money is being made off the backs of African American athletes? You made an Brock Ganeles (03:23.258) It'll only take a few. It'll only take a few. Mark Hayes (03:51.4) Empire off the backs of black America since 1619. Okay? Sharecropping days are over. And now you have President Trump and and who was it, Ted Cruz imposing or presenting legislation to put salary caps in place? why? Because all the top paid athletes are African American? You see. This this is the hypocrisy that pisses us off. And by the way, we'll get to it later. Black America is activated, Brock. yeah, we are activated. But let's stay on topic. Go. Brock Ganeles (04:33.788) But Mark, I'm gonna go I'm gonna devil's advocate it a little bit here. That because you know, I watched a lot of the clips and a a lot of the follow-up that Kevin Hart has had from his roast on Netflix roast on Netflix, where he, the producers, whoever was you know the honchos behind this endeavor, which was a big moneymaker, I'm sure, for both Kevin Hart and for Netflix. Mark Hayes (04:38.861) Go. Mark Hayes (04:59.619) Yeah. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (05:03.41) Well, they didn't do it for free. They allowed these racist white comedians onto the show to tell horrendous off color unfunny jokes, particularly about George Floyd and his death. Kevin Hart's response now, after a few days, is like, my roast was like the Tom Brady roast. Mark Hayes (05:05.431) Right. Mark Hayes (05:16.586) Unfunny. Mark Hayes (05:29.943) No it wasn't. Brock Ganeles (05:30.044) Which it no it wasn't because there weren't racist jokes about George Floyd on the Tom Brady roast. And so therefore I'm so once again, this is a white guy saying it, right? So take it for what it's worth. I'm sorry that I have to hold Kevin Hart to a higher standard and feel like that he has to be more cognizant and make statements versus just cashing checks. And then maybe I wouldn't put even Tom Brady to the same standard. Mark Hayes (05:51.918) Why are you apologizing? Brock Ganeles (05:58.601) But if Kevin Hart's gonna be willing to let people come on his show and joke about the violent televised death of a black man and make a mockery of black of a murder of black person because he wants to cash those checks. He wants that proximity to white power. He wants that long-term earnings potential. So he wants to stay on the good graces of the white executives at places like Netflix. If you're seventeen years old, black kid in in the South who's a five star football recruit, you're like, Well, why why can't I go to Texas and take the big check? Why why do I have to be the one that sacrifices? But you know, Kevin Hart can have a show where he makes his millions and he can fucking make fun of black people or have people make fun of black people in his name on his show. And I think it hurts. Mark Hayes (06:37.272) Right. Mark Hayes (06:50.89) Okay, I see your point, and I'm gonna raise you one. Remember the beef about with Cat Williams and Kevin Hart that was the hatchet was buried on stage there? I don't think Cat Williams heard what was going on prior to his appearance. because if he did, I don't know that he would have been willing to bury the hatchet. Now Kat Williams was saying that Kevin Hart was an industry plant, meaning that white folks put him in position to make these movies and to be a star because he was not going to buck the system. I don't know if you saw the Eddie Mo Eddie Murphy documentary. But Eddie Murphy was saying, remember Eddie Murphy was saying there could only be one or two of us at a time. Brock Ganeles (07:38.974) Of course I did. Mark Hayes (07:47.116) Right? So you that we've only been allowed to entertain or achieve stardom based on white people, the white executives' feelings. Right? Now it's harder to control media because you have YouTube and because see the Drewski, Drewski came out of nowhere from YouTube, from social media. Now these you got these guys who are creating skits who are hilarious, and then they go from YouTube and Instagram to mainstream. You know? There are several guys that I follow that are absolutely hilarious, and now you see them in film productions because they have two or three million social media followers. Desi, my my grandson ran into Desi at a Hawks game. And my grandson knew exactly who he was. And he does, you know, comedic skits all around Atlanta. And he is a la and has millions of followers. And my grandson ran over to take a picture with him. And now you're gonna see him in mainstream films because it helps with the marketing. Right? So now, here's the thing with Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart allowed it. Right? Kevin Hart is worth what? $400 million? $500 million? If Netflix is paying you to come do a roast, you have to have some sort of creative control. And that's why Black America is pissed. You're gonna make jokes about George Floyd. It it's never gonna be not too soon to make jokes about George Floyd. Right? It's almost like making a joke about Dr. King. You very rarely Hear comedians, black comedians making jokes about Martin Luther King Jr. You don't hear anybody making jokes about Dr. King and his death. That shit was uncalled for. And why would you have an avowed racist on the roast of an African American man? You're supposed to. Why would you have someone who comes? Brock, the biggest defender of black women on that show? Mark Hayes (10:08.524) was a white Jewish woman, Chelsea Handler. It was it was disgusting. Brock Ganeles (10:11.346) Look, Netflix Netflix loved it. It got it got a lot of buzz. It created a controversy. Otherwise maybe it was just a boring roast with a bunch of jokes and everyone would have gone home and it would have got moderate viewership. But this this is what went viral, so it stirred the pot. They know everyone loves controversy and they probably got a ton of extra streams because of that and it helped Netflix. So it worked for Netflix. Mark Hayes (10:23.457) Right. Brock Ganeles (10:37.512) Guess it worked economically for Kevin Hart. I just don't think it worked for black America. Certainly didn't work for female black America. So I just you know Mark Hayes (10:46.05) Hell no. Hell no. Brock Ganeles (10:53.734) You you can't be doing it that way. Especially now in a MAGA environment. With it when the lines are so obvious, when the stakes are so so high. Mark Hayes (10:56.673) No. Mark Hayes (11:01.548) Nope. Mark Hayes (11:07.0) Yep. And and and Brock, here's the thing. you know, Black America is out here and ready to go. Why so if you notice, I don't know if your feed is giving you some of these confrontations, but they are ugly. White people attacking verbally. African American and African Americans fighting back. Those are two words that Black America is unfamiliar with until now. After the George Floyd situation, was a totally different approach to violence against Black America. Remember the outrage that George Zimmerman, you know, stirred up. DMX wanted to fight George Zimmerman. after he unalived tr a a child. A child. I mean, there is a Brock Ganeles (12:15.354) Okay. To answer the question, no, I'm not getting that in my feed. So and I think I'm getting at least a moderate amount of quote black j black originated content in my feed now because we're doing this podcast. But I'm not seeing any of that, these confrontations that you're talking about. Mark Hayes (12:18.567) Yeah. Mark Hayes (12:30.071) Okay. Mark Hayes (12:34.913) Right. Mark Hayes (12:38.368) Right. I will forward you some of them because I think I I actually watched the a young lady on a black history feed today, on a black history YouTube channel, and she was saying the exact same thing that I'm parroting right now is that black America is not putting up with this shit anymore. Quietly, African Americans are mobilizing. Number one fighting back in the streets with violence. Brock Ganeles (12:42.502) All right. Mark Hayes (13:07.66) Look, that's a battle we can't win, right? We understand that. But we can take some W's when they're available. You won't be calling black people the N-word and just walking away with it. I've seen several people, you know, get knocked in the next week by using the N-word. you're also seeing the mobilization of the black vote. So We're only 13% of the population, Brock. So you always have to ask yourself, why are they working so hard to take it away? You always have to ask that question. If we're only 13%, why are you working so hard to take it away from us? And if Latinos are such a problem, are are are such a I'm sorry, not such a problem, such an integral part of our workforce and our economic model, why are you taking them away from us? Right? Like AI is not going to be cutting grass. AI is not going to be replacing roofs. Right? The only reason to get rid of those who have come here in search of a better life is to diminish their voting power. Right? Japanese Americans. you doing internment camps? we ain't with that shit. You think they're gonna pull the red lever? You think Asian Americans are pulling the red lever? Not on your life. But so that's the issue. When you add up black America's 13%, we're not even the largest minority. Right? The Latino community is the largest minority now. So when you add them up, the black vote and others, Pacific Islanders, Asians, South Asians, you add everything up, and now we're talking about a numbers game. Right? I don't know that you can arrest enough people to impact, you know, a hundred million votes. So we'll have to see. But I don't think, getting back to the original topic. Mark Hayes (15:32.788) Any athlete should commit to play any sport in the SEC because they don't appreciate you. Y you know what? I'll never forget during the George Floyd protest I saw a guy holding up a sign that said, I wished white America loved me like they did when I was a college football player. Brock Ganeles (15:50.514) You think that professional athletes need to get the same scrutiny? Like who's gonna sign as a free agent with the Atlanta Hawks in the off season? Mark Hayes (15:58.698) Ex absolutely. Absolutely. Remember, we had Kelly Leffler here as the WNBA owner. And she was forced out. Right? Like this is here's my problem, Brock. This is the cradle of the civil rights movement. Dr. King's house is less than a 35-minute drive from my house. Right, people. Brock Ganeles (16:19.994) Is Giannis and Takamupo gonna say, Well, here's five teams that I ref that I'm gonna veto a trade to becor that you know, I wouldn't go, you know, I'll sit out if you trade me to there 'cause I'm not going to play in n for the Pelicans. 'Cause I'm not going to New Orleans 'cause I don't want to step foot in Louisiana. Mark Hayes (16:41.302) It I don't know what Giannis's political leaning is. Is he even a citizen? Brock Ganeles (16:44.99) Yeah, I don't know, but no, I don't even know if he's just US citizens, right? He's Greek. I was just using him as as an example. I'm just thinking of anyone who potentially has options. When he's in San Antonio. Mark Hayes (16:53.986) When be when be might say I'm getting the hell out of San Wemby Mike Sam getting the hell out of San San Antonio. But remember, Popovich has been probably next to Steve Kerr the loudest voice in opposition to what's going on in America from the NBA. Right? Brock Ganeles (17:17.18) Yeah, so at his organization he may he may feel his views are supported. But if we're taking it to the level of of the actual just the region, right, then we gotta l basically half the teams in every league are in MAGA states. So Mark Hayes (17:30.306) Right. Right. Brock Ganeles (17:34.94) You c the big economic big statements could be made. I'm just waiting for the first athlete to make the statement, right? And and this is why they fucking crushed Colin Kaepernick. So athletes would stop trying to make statements. Mark Hayes (17:39.393) Absolutely. Absolutely. Mark Hayes (17:49.454) Right. Mark Hayes (17:53.548) Yep. And remember, remember who led the civil rights movement in the sixties? Karim Abdul Jabbar, Cassius Clay, aka Muhammad Ali, right? Jim Brown. Right? I mean, if you haven't seen the movie One Night in Miami, it's worth seeing. very pivotal. You had entertainers standing up. Right? Like What what if our what if our famous and well to do entertainers decided, you know what? And until you start giving us one one man, one vote in the South, we ain't coming to the South. We're we're we're we'll we'll boycott the Southeast Quadrant of the country. You know? And white America will say, fine, we don't go to those concerts anyway. But you're gonna piss black America off. Brock Ganeles (18:59.346) Yeah, I mean we need you know, now it gets bigger, right? We keep you know, we started this talking about how seventeen and eighteen-year-old kids were are being asked by the NAACP to not go to, you know, southern schools that are restricting voting rights. So, but you just gotta think about how few people that have the opportunity for personal enrichment are willing to in any way sacrifice it. Mark Hayes (19:13.932) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (19:24.956) You get a guy like Springsteen, he's seventy-five plus years old. He's made his money, this and that. He's making phenomenal statements going around the country, ripping Trump everywhere he goes and calling him un American and making that a part of his concert tour. But Taylor Swift's not refusing to go to Red States. No one and no one else is. Mark Hayes (19:40.802) Right. Mark Hayes (19:48.334) Right. Right. And Brock Ganeles (19:52.531) And it's gonna take that first person or group of people to do it. It's just you know, it's still to me, it's hard to ask the seventeen and eighteen year olds to be the you know, the moral leaders making the sacrifice versus everyone else older than them, who's not willing to alienate Mark Hayes (20:12.674) Well Mark Hayes (20:17.132) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (20:17.594) white America or a portion of white America. I think they might become, you know, cultural icons by doing it, but that's just me. Mark Hayes (20:21.335) Right. Mark Hayes (20:28.418) Right. Mark Hayes (20:32.981) Rock, think about five million dollars. Let's see. Menza, the quarterback for Miami, is getting what what is reportedly ten million dollars. You know, how do you ask a kid, you know, not to go to the state of Florida and be the quarterback at the University of Miami when he's got a chance to bring home what five point two five after taxes? Brock Ganeles (20:44.072) Really? Mark Hayes (21:01.058) That's that's generational wealth if it's invested properly. I know it's hard. and it's a sacrifice. Brock Ganeles (21:15.09) You would hope he's getting offered ten million at Michigan also and he goes to Michigan and just says like, Hey, I just feel more comfortable up here in the environment. You know, g he he can co he can code word it if he doesn't want to just come out and say it. Feel more welcome here. I'm more comfortable and Mark Hayes (21:18.85) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (21:28.685) No that Mark Hayes (21:32.27) True that. True that. Right. Well, and you know, Brock, I don't I mean, you've been the only white guy in the room. I don't know. Did did did you feel awkward in that in that space? I never have because I grew up that way. Right? Like, you know, in my class there was one or two of us every year. But I had some classes where it was only me. Brock Ganeles (21:34.962) Better supported. Mark Hayes (22:01.678) but it it never really phased me. Brock Ganeles (22:06.32) I I didn't feel awkward, but it was I was I was incredibly aware of it. It didn't make me feel any differently about myself or act or do anything differently, but I was clearly had knew exactly what the dynamic of the room was. Mark Hayes (22:11.629) Right. Mark Hayes (22:24.012) Right. And if you'll notice, I mean people may have noticed you but nobody said anything to you. There was no like nobody really cared if in my opinion. Brock Ganeles (22:30.032) No, it's Brock Ganeles (22:36.198) Nobody cared. Because most people we j most of us we just care about ourselves. Do we really care about the other person who's in the room? Right? Especially when you're in a social setting or you're young and single and this and that. Why are you worried about some other, you know, Yahoo across the room from you when you're trying to make your moves on, you know, th the woman closest to you? Why why would you ever even be thinking about what other people or in the room are doing? Mark Hayes (22:37.368) No Mark Hayes (22:43.383) Right. Mark Hayes (22:53.112) Right. Mark Hayes (22:57.943) Exactly. Mark Hayes (23:02.722) But but that's what I don't understand, Brock. Why is white why are we living rent-free in white America's heads? you know, the title of that video I was telling you about was like, Why aren't black people mad? You know, now black people are aware of what the hell is going on. You know, don't get it twisted. But we understand that you know, being boisterous. and protesting directly against the mad king will get us killed. Brock Ganeles (23:41.119) I think hypothesis here, I think black people have maybe trained themselves to not go to anger as quickly as white people go to anger. Because I think white people feel like they can get away with going to anger right away. You think of those Karen's, you think how quick white people get mad. We could talk about it, we laugh about it all the time. I saw a whole clip about white people getting mad because grocery stores now aren't giving them change. in pennies and just the just like if it's two ninety eight and they give three dollars in cash they're not getting the two cents back and it's not just they want the two cents but like they feel aggrieved like they're getting fucked by the system. I watched the whole video of it. It was all white people bitching about it right so white people will go to anger on like we're very very entitled in this country of quote of ours that we think is ours. So we'll move to anger. We also feel like we're gonna be protected and defended and backed up by the systems that are in place. So we go to anger quicker than black people. Mark Hayes (24:53.272) Well, and black people know going to anger can cost you your life. Right? So you have to throttle down. I remember having a an uncomfortable conversation with a co-worker, and I immediately looked for a seat to sit down. Because I'm you know, six three, and I didn't want anyone to mistake. Me trying to intimidate this person. So I sat down and listened and never raised my voice. Because I know how it's going to be perceived. Right? Emmett Till taught us that, right? Brock Ganeles (25:39.463) Mark, I I've mouthed off to policemen who've pulled me over on the highway and bit and bitched at them for writing me a ticket and complained that it was like, you know, bullshit Christmas fund and they're out here fucking just trying to raise money for their, you know, horseshit, you know, keg party that they're gonna have at the end of the year. Mark Hayes (25:44.416) Never have I done that. Mark Hayes (25:59.746) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (25:59.793) And fucking this is ridiculous. That everyone else is fucking going 80 miles an hour while we're sitting here writing this ticket. I've had that. You can s anyone who watched our show knows you can tell already, right? I'm a wise ass, right? I can't keep my mouth shut. So I've mouthed off like that. But I didn't have the talk from my parents when I was like eight years old prepping me for life as a youth and then a teenager and then an adult telling me. that I can't talk that way to authority or that I could get killed if I say the wrong thing. They just didn't think they ever needed to give me the speech. I don't think most white families do it to their white kids. Maybe I should have gotten that speech and I wouldn't be so fucking mouthy and gotten myself so much trouble over the years. But yeah, I feel like I could get away with it. I didn't think he was gonna pull a gun out. I didn't think he was gonna pop me with a right cross or pull me out of the car and Mark Hayes (26:37.676) Right. I what Mark Hayes (26:55.011) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (26:56.594) bang my head against the fucking windshield while he cuffed me. Mark Hayes (27:01.612) Yeah, I'm happy if that doesn't happen when I get pulled over. Mark Hayes (27:09.056) And it's a sad reality that that is what we've come to. I've talked to my kids, I still remind my sons, don't fucking burn off to the police. Brock Ganeles (27:20.626) I don't think we've come to it. We've been there. We started this way. It's almost a sad reality that we haven't come past it. And maybe the next iter yeah, maybe the next iteration of America we do. But now while there's ice agents out they're masked pulling people of color out of anywhere, any time, and just Mark Hayes (27:29.73) Over. Brock Ganeles (27:46.514) disappearing them. Mark Hayes (27:48.29) Yep. And and getting away with killing white people. So you know if they're getting away with killing white people, you know what's gonna happen to us. That's why we're quietly mobilizing. Qu keeping the anger under our hats, you know, and dealing with provocation as necessary. You're seeing a lot of people get knocked out at gas stations. a lot of I saw a guy get scrapped up in Kroger just last night on my feed, using the N-word. So we've got to get better as a whole. and that And the only way to do that is to achieve some level of understanding of others. Brock Ganeles (28:39.73) Yeah, but also to change the power dynamic so that those that want to bully don't feel as though they are doing it with the impromptuur of the state and the government behind them. And, you know, that's the way Mark Hayes (28:57.112) Right. Brock Ganeles (29:00.636) There's a lot of people that strut around just feeling like they're gonna be protected, as we talked about with that story of the father with the N word and it and the like. So we're gonna have to change the structure, we're gonna have to change, you know, maybe some of the laws, but really watchdog how laws are enforced, because it's really the enforcement that matters. The rule of law has always been a joke, 'cause it's never been enforced equally. So like it doesn't matter what's on paper, it's who actually has to play by those rules. Not Mark Hayes (29:29.891) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (29:30.748) what the rules themselves actually say. Mark Hayes (29:34.082) Quick hit me, let's go. Brock Ganeles (29:36.761) Well Brock Ganeles (29:41.159) I guess I'm I feel bad and I'm somewhat upset that Congressman Green in Houston lost his primary runoff yesterday because I I like the way he stood up to Trump. But there's another part of me that Mark Hayes (29:47.768) Yeah, I would read it. Brock Ganeles (29:59.507) is almost always airing to the side of rooting for the younger candidate because I want to see the new blood. So I came away kind of almost like thanking is it Al was it is it Algreen for his service and his outspokenness and only hoping that the young guy is as much as a fire brand, but a fire brand like forty years younger, coming with a different mindset and different vigor. What'd you think of that scenario? Mark Hayes (30:13.944) Yeah. Mark Hayes (30:26.518) Right. I I totally agree with you a hundred percent. I think Al Green was the kind of had the kind of fight that we needed, even though he was up in age. I appreciate him filing all those articles of impeachment time after time, even though it didn't go anywhere. At least you know, just filing the articles, you know, was enough to get people talking. And to get people looking at it. Cause you know people looked at it and said, What's impeachable here? And there were plenty of items that he could list that were impeachable. So we thank him for his service. and you know what? We have to usher in a new era of leadership. But you hate to see him go, Yeah. Brock Ganeles (31:10.876) Yeah. And he's got six he's got six more months to make to make a lot of noise and I hope he does in those last six months. What do you got for me? Mark Hayes (31:16.28) Plenty of ways. Yes indeed. Wow. Just as We were so excited about the New York Knicks and and having the finals at the Garden. Donald Trump says he may attend some of the games at home, at the Garden, in New York. Why would he do that, bro? Why would he br he knows New Yorkers don't like him. Now, exactly. Now I will say this people that can afford to go to a finals game are probably going to be. Brock Ganeles (31:49.118) It's all about him. This is a narcissist. Mark Hayes (32:00.8) might be well off enough to be in the 1%. So I don't know that the booze will be as loud as they would be on a normal game night. But you know if I'm him I stay away. Plus, what makes us think the fucking guy is healthy enough to go actually go to a basketball game? He can't stay awake for an entire game. What say you? Brock Ganeles (32:26.172) Here and tickets are going for a thousand bucks. So the sticker shock of the typical Knicks fan of is holy holy shit, he ain't going to the game. So you may be right about the dynamic of the percent of one percenters that are in that crowd. But gee, I still think he would get booed unmercifully if he walks into Madison Square Garden. And I view him as sort of a kiss of death. So I think it'd be the worst thing to happen to the Knicks if Trump actually showed up. Mark Hayes (32:40.526) Right. Mark Hayes (32:45.164) Yes, in New York. Mark Hayes (32:53.538) Right. Brock Ganeles (32:56.004) So a lot of reasons why I don't want him to show up, but I think the one reason why he's thinking about it is because he's a narcissist and anything that's going on without him at the center of it is a problem for him. So he wants to insert himself into it. Mark Hayes (33:13.526) Right, right. And that's the problem, Brock. everything he touches dies. And you know, we don't we don't get here often. So, you know, the last thing we need is, you know, this Hucklebuck, Cheeto Mussolini, to come into the garden and distract what has been an amazing run. You know, because that's all he'd do is be a distraction. Brock Ganeles (33:39.549) Yeah, total distraction. Distraction. Okay, I got one more. I'm gonna head back to Texas and maybe we'll talk about this one on an ongoing basis. But not only Ken Paxton beat John Cornyn, the quote, loyal Republican, good riddance John fucking Cornyn, but Ken Paxton, who's the worst of the worst, wins that primary after getting Trump's endorsement. But he immediately comes out of the gates calling James Tallerico in essence too soft. Mark Hayes (33:48.643) Hitch. Mark Hayes (33:58.337) No doubt. Brock Ganeles (34:08.958) А нали енаф репрезен Текс. Mark Hayes (34:14.222) What does that even mean? Brock Ganeles (34:16.186) I don't know what it means, but I'm worried that it's gonna work. Mark Hayes (34:22.508) You know, they call them tofu Taler Rico. If you don't eat meat in Texas, they're gonna use it against you. And Texans are you know, well, let me say uppity enough, you know, that that would piss them off. That's a typical, you know, slight against Texas. You know, they're known for their beef and their cattle and blah blah blah. It might work. Plus, you know, you're gonna have a tough time getting black folk out after what you did to Jasmine. You know? You clearly proved that, you know, this guy who's coming from a state senate position was more qualified than someone who's been sitting in the US Congress for three terms. and doing the damn thing against you know a rogue president, the most Criminally minded president that we have ever seen in our history. And she took him on face to face. What makes you think Tal, I mean, they clearly the Republicans clearly don't believe that Talo Rico's gonna do it because they're calling him Wimpy. So we may be in trouble there. Texans may have shot themselves in the foot when it comes to honest representation. And how are you a felon and running for any kind of office? I. e. see the presidency, see the Republican nominee. Nodding. Brock Ganeles (36:00.19) MAG MAGA doesn't care. Tal Rico was polling ahead of Paxson before the runoff. He was and I'm I'm instantly worried twenty four, forty eight hours later, that this line of negative campaigning against Tal Rico just might work 'cause he is smart, but he does come across kinda kinda soft. So I'm worried. I'm worried it's gonna stick. Mark Hayes (36:24.898) Yeah. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (36:28.946) Time will tell, we'll watch you closely. Mark Hayes (36:29.142) And it's Yeah. And we will talk about that on an ongoing basis. All right, buddy. Always a pleasure. Brock Ganeles (36:36.722) All right, Mark, peace. Talk to you tomorrow. Mark Hayes (36:38.646) Revolution. Yes, sir. Peace.
