  which honestly I think is really petty that she joined in. Because of that,

  she joined the Dark One and Grendal. Grendel's the slut. Well we're

  talking, she's we're talking like Circey Leanister level of slutness, except without the

  incests. Damn And but she was a therapist. She specialized in like she

  specialized in using weaves, not of like compulsion per se, because like you
• 1:57
  can't specifically heal the brain using regular weaves. But she fit. But she

  specialized in a form of like compulsion weaves, so basically in the same category

  that helps people with mental illnesses. So she was able to use these weaves

  to correct the neurodivergence caused by like trauma and other mental illnesses. Interesting,

  so some of these, some of the forsaken, were actually like really smart.

  Welcome the book Watters. Cool work teaming on the Journey through the Wheel

  of Time series. That is right, that is right. Last week we
• 5:16
  reviewed book one, The Eye of the World. This week we're gonna be
• 5:20
  reviewing book two, which is called The Great Hunt. Yay yay. And
• 5:28
  so far both books have been adapted as part of Amazon Prime's TV show,
• 5:34
  and I have watched show mm hmm, yeah, watched from both. I
• 5:39
  made sure I made sure he watched them. And I definitely recommend if you're
• 5:44
  not really interested in reading, uh, reading the books, which is understandable
• 5:48
  because there are fourteen books in the series and I'm only halfway through them.
• 5:53
  I'm only I'm currently on book seven, so there's a lot. There's a
• 6:00
  lot, and hopefully they Amazon decides to keep up with it. But part
• 6:06
  of me, like nowadays with because of how like you know, the way
• 6:12
  budgets work and just a lot of CGI. I don't even think they're gonna
• 6:16
  actually go like full fourteen series for every book. They're probably gonna like take
• 6:20
  several of these books and condense them like maybe two or three books and condense
• 6:25
  them into one season, which is gonna be really hard to do because even
• 6:30
  the shortest book, which is like I think I think it's Book seven because
• 6:32
  I thought Book five was short, but it's actually but Books seven is a
• 6:36
  little bit shorter. It's gonna be hard though, it really will be.
• 6:46
  But anyway, uh so, yes, So part of this episode is mostly
• 6:54
  gonna be focused on the book because, for one thing, there is a
• 6:57
  lot more that happens in the book, and it's very different from what happens
• 7:00
  in the show. From some highlights from the show that I will point out
• 7:08
  at the end of season one, and kind of the same with Book one,
• 7:13
  Rand defeats quote unquote the dark one Balzamel, but afterwards he leaves and
• 7:25
  in the series. In the show, he tells Maraine to tell everyone that
• 7:30
  he died in the confrontation. And he does this because since he is now
• 7:35
  is confirmed that he is a male channeler, he is doomed to succumb to
• 7:41
  the Madness. And as I've explained in the previous episode, the male half
• 7:46
  of the True Source, which is where all channelers draw their power from.
• 7:50
  The male half was tainted by the Dark One at the end of the War
• 7:55
  of Power, which was at the very end of the Age of Legends,
• 8:01
  and this gave birth to the second age, which is called the Age of
• 8:03
  Madness or the Breaking of the World, which is when the Tank was the
• 8:11
  male half of the Source became tainted by the Dark One, and as a
• 8:16
  direct result of that, every male channeler begins to slowly go mad. And
• 8:20
  since Loose Barren, the original Dragon and his hundred companions, were at the
• 8:26
  very epicenter of this event, they went matt instantly. They left shell Gul,
• 8:33
  the stronghold of the Dark One, and went on a rampage all across
• 8:35
  the world, completely destroying what was left of the old civilization, and just
• 8:41
  broke the world. Land masses were reshaped, oceans dried up, deserts became
• 8:48
  oceans like, flatlands became mountainous regions, mountains were reduced to rubble, and
• 8:54
  Loose Barren when he died, he took his own life by drawing in an
• 8:58
  obscene of energy from the source which caused him to blow up. And when
• 9:03
  he blew up, it was basically like a nuclear event, and it was
• 9:07
  so strong it punched a hole into the earth, creating a volcano damn and
• 9:11
  magma like molten rocks spewed out and and three thousand years later that hole is
• 9:18
  still there. It's now called the Dragon mount and Tarbalon happens to sit.

  Yeah, and tarbolon the seat of the of the Isidie is now at the
• 9:30
  base of the mount of the mountain. There's a little ways off, but
• 9:33
  it's like right, it's like right there. But anyway, because of this,
• 9:41
  Ran decides to leave and in the beginning of the of the series of
• 9:48
  second of season two, he started a new life. He's living in the
• 9:52
  foregate of krahin uh Out. He's living out of an inn owned by a
• 9:56
  beautiful woman named Selene, and he's taken on a job as like a orderly
• 10:03
  like a like a kind of like an attendant a nurse at a at a
• 10:09
  psychiatric board. And he does encounter the other male channel at Low Gang,
• 10:15
  which was who was introduced in season one. Uh Aside from that, there
• 10:22
  are a few other things that I'll point out later for the biggest thing that
• 10:26
  that season two spoils, and I'm gonna go ahead and spoil it here because
• 10:31
  we technically don't find out about this information until the end of book three.

  The beginning of book four was that Balsamoal the figure that would appear in Rand's
• 10:41
  dreams and that would torment him throughout book two and even throughout book three.
• 10:48
  Uh is not actually the Dark One, but the Dark One's greatest lieutenant is
• 10:52
  Shamel. Is Shamel was the leader of the Forsaken and the closest one.
• 10:58
  He was the most powerful the Foresake in he was their leader, and he
• 11:01
  was the closest to the Dark One. Now, thing about is Shamel was
• 11:05
  that he was only half sealed away, and because of that he would come
• 11:11
  in. He would go through these sleepwake cycles, like this dreamless sleep to
• 11:16
  where he can actually where his mind becomes conscious enough to where he can reach
• 11:20
  out and touch the material world. And Is Shamel is what is called a
• 11:26
  dream walker, so he's able to touch this. He's able to project his
• 11:30
  mind into this plane of existence called tele ran riote, which is basically the
• 11:35
  dream world, and through there he was able to communicate with his dark with
• 11:39
  the Dark One servants the Dark Friends, the mire Drol, the Halfman,
• 11:43
  and he was able to direct them throughout the millennia. But because of this,
• 11:48
  it did drive him to a certain state of madness, to the point
• 11:50
  where he actually began to believe that he was the Dark One. So that's
• 11:54
  why at the beginning of book one and throughout two and three he would call
• 11:58
  himself the Dark One or just Balzemon. And Balzemon, by the way,
• 12:03
  is not really the Dark One's real name. His real name is shy Tin,
• 12:07
  but sh shy Tin is basically like he who must not be named.
• 12:13
  But i'tlike Boltimore, but I don't like Voldemort, which is more of just
• 12:16
  like a just you just get the shivers from saying his name. YEA,
• 12:20
  saying the Dark One's real name would actually kind of like bring the Dark One's
• 12:24
  attention to you. Even though you feel the way, you still uh,
• 12:28
  you still get this sense of intent of like malice, like there's actually a
• 12:33
  feeling that the Dark One is watching you. So but yeah, that is
• 12:39
  a spoiler. He we don't actually in the books, you don't actually figure
• 12:43
  out that is Shamel is Balzemon until like the end of book three, beginning
• 12:50
  of book four. Yeah, because when that because at the end of book
• 12:54
  three spoiler alert, that is when RN actually kills is Shamel, and when
• 13:01
  he kills the shaw Mill, he realizes that this is just a man.
• 13:03
  It's not the Dark One. The Dark One is supposed to be this godlike
• 13:07
  entity. It's not gonna if he dies. If I actually killed the Dark
• 13:11
  One, this wouldn't be it. Yeah. So there's a few other key
• 13:18
  differences. I'll point them out later, but let's go ahead and get started.
• 13:20
  So biggest difference. Oh one more thing before I forget another character that
• 13:30
  is introduced that technically we don't realize that's who she is until like the end
• 13:37
  of the book and well throughout book three and four and five. Uh Selene
• 13:43
  is not a normal woman. She is actually one of the Forsaken, and
• 13:46
  she's considered the most one of the most dangerous of the Forsaken because she is
• 13:52
  actually the daughter of the Night land Feir. Yeah, now land Fear.
• 13:58
  Just want to point I just want to like give her a base description.
• 14:01
  She is a she's a very very powerful female channeler. In fact, she
• 14:09
  is as powerful as a female channeler can be. So I explained to the
• 14:13
  last episode. Every channeler has their own natural levels of strength, but there
• 14:16
  is a cap to how strong a male and female can get within the True
• 14:22
  Source, and land Fear is at the very top of the food chain,
• 14:26
  so she's as strong as a female Chandler can get with Sidar the female half
• 14:31
  of the of the True Source. And another fun fact, since land Fair
• 14:37
  was already since it was spoiled in season two, that that's who she is.
• 14:41
  Land Feir was actually the very channeler that created the bore into the Dark
• 14:50
  Ones prison. So I explained in the last episode that a group of isaid
• 14:58
  Ie scientists were trying to discover a new source of power similar to the True
• 15:01
  Source, and they did that, and the way that they went about proving
• 15:05
  their theory and trying to discover this new source of power was by boring a
• 15:11
  hole into the pattern or into reality itself. But when they did this,
• 15:15
  they ended up boring a hole into the Dark One's prison. Well, the
• 15:18
  very isid Ie that was leading this expedition was Landfair herself. So Landfeir is
• 15:26
  the one who released the Dark One, damn, and that's kind of why
• 15:35
  she that's part of the reason why she took on the name Landfair as daughter
• 15:39
  of the Knight, because she was It was because of her fucky lucky that
• 15:45
  the Dark One was able to touch the world. Now, when I say
• 15:48
  release the Dark One, the Dark One isn't actually released from his prison.
• 15:50
  It's just there's a hole that was bored into his into his prison. Now
• 15:56
  he will eventually, if the hole is not properly sealed, he will eventually
• 16:00
  be able to escape. And that isn't that's bad. But with that hole
• 16:07
  he's with just the boar itself, he's able to touch the world, influence
• 16:11
  it, darken it, and turn people to his side, and manipulate people.
• 16:19
  So all right, let's go Now, let's go ahead and get into
• 16:23
  the story. So, like I said, Rand left and started a new
• 16:30
  life in Carahim. That doesn't actually happen in the book. Now, he
• 16:33
  does have plans. He did make plans to leave the group and just travel
• 16:38
  the world, stay on the road, try to keep to himself and stay
• 16:42
  as isolated as possible. And while he convinces himself that he won't touch the
• 16:48
  source, he on some level he accepts that as a channeler, the temptation
• 16:55
  is just too great, and he'll eventually begin using it more and more until
• 16:59
  he comes to the madness. So his plan was to leave Faldhara in the
• 17:04
  Kingdom of in the borderland Kingdom of Shinar and just go off on his own,
• 17:10
  leave Moraine, I, Guayanne, Ninive Parn Matt, leave them all
• 17:15
  behind. But he doesn't get the chance because he's at this point two months
• 17:22
  had passed since the confrontation with the Forsaken at the Eye of the World,
• 17:29
  and Ran had begun training how to use his father's sword under the tutelage of
• 17:34
  land Moraine's warder, and he is slowly making his preparations. He's getting supplies
• 17:44
  together. He's just trying to find the right moment to slip away because although
• 17:48
  Moraine at this point hasn't really spoken to him or done anything. If anything,
• 17:52
  she's kind of been avoiding everybody, he still note that she's going to
• 17:56
  try to keep him there, trypulate him, so he wants to try to
• 18:02
  find a good time to slip away. But before he can do that,
• 18:07
  the uh Lord Angelmar and Moraine announced that the ambulance seat herself is coming to
• 18:14
  fal Dara, So the ambulance seat is the leader of the Isidai. She's
• 18:22
  at the very top of the Isidai chain of command, and the current ambulance
• 18:29
  seat is a woman named Suan Sanchi. Very now. In the show,
• 18:33
  Suon is introduced in season one, and she does make several her appearance in
• 18:38
  season two, but in the books, Suan is not actually introduced Ontold Book
• 18:42
  two. So the main reason why Suan herself is coming to fall is leaving
• 18:51
  Tarbalan and coming to Faldara herself is because she received word from Morain of everything
• 18:56
  that's happened, the encounter with the Forsaken, finding the Horn of the Lair
• 19:00
  in the Eye of the World, as well as finding the broken seal on
• 19:03
  the dark Ones prison there, and all of this is concerning enough that she
• 19:07
  needs to address it herself, so she arrives in Faldara Ran. Once she
• 19:15
  arrives, Rand decides this may be a good time to just dip because everyone
• 19:19
  will be distracted with the Amberlin's arrival. But when he tries to leave the
• 19:23
  city, he realized he notices that the guards, the people guarding every major
• 19:30
  accident pretty much anyway out of the fortress city, they've all received orders no
• 19:34
  one is to leave the city, so no matter where he tried to go,
• 19:38
  Ran could not get out. Eventually, the ambulance seat, she meets
• 19:45
  with each of the three boys, Matt, Perrin, and Rand's to talk
• 19:49
  to him because these boys are all very important. She learns about Matt's condition
• 19:56
  and she actually makes the ambulan actually makes plans to uh with the gathered Isidaie
• 20:04
  at Faldara. They were going to go ahead and heal Matt and separate him
• 20:08
  from the dagger that he had polishly taken from Shadar. Lookoff. But but
• 20:17
  we're gonna get to that. They don't. They don't get a chance to
• 20:21
  do that, and I'll tell you why in just a second. She finally
• 20:27
  meets with Rand and with Morain by her side. The two it's revealed that
• 20:34
  Morain and Suwon were actually have been working together secretly for for over two for
• 20:40
  over twenty years, because the day that Rand was born was actually the last
• 20:47
  day of the Ael War. It was the day the Ale War ended,
• 20:51
  and this quick recap. The Ile War was a massive conflict between three of
• 20:56
  the Ayal clans from the Threefold Lands against the kingdoms of the West Leans and
• 21:03
  those kingdoms lost because the Aeel are just that badass, because they the a
• 21:08
  Eel. Really they wanted to kill the king of Carahin, the last king
• 21:11
  of Carahin, because he cut down a tree that was given to Carahine by
• 21:18
  the a Eel, And this tree was important because it was a sapling of
• 21:22
  the evendosa, which is the tree of life. It's very important culturally significant
• 21:27
  tree and to the i Eel, cutting it down to make it into a
• 21:32
  throne was a huge slap in the face and a big insult. So they
• 21:36
  waged war just to kill that one guy, and they do. But the
• 21:38
  day they kill him was also the day that Rand was born. And when
• 21:45
  Rand was born on the slopes of the Dragon Mount Suon and Morain, they
• 21:51
  were still they were still accepted. They were just about to be raised to
• 21:57
  the rank of full Isidiism. And their mentor was a is said I who
• 22:07
  had this rare ability of the site. She would have foretellings and real quick,

  on the slopes of the Dragon mount and which wasn't very far away, and

  the because of how powerful that foretelling was, she died dead. So yeah,

  it was just like she she had a moment of just she was blind.

  Her foretelling were so strong that when she was born she was blind.

  She was blind, so which was I mean, not really much of a
• 23:26
  hindrance. She could see much more clearly than normal people who can see,
• 23:30
  but that foretelling was so powerful. She was just like, the dragon is
• 23:34
  reborn in the Dragon Mountain. That's right, I remember seeing that, yeah
• 23:37
  in the show. Anyway, Yeah, so she died and uh, Suan
• 23:45
  and Moraine made a pact that they would seek out the dragon reborn and guide
• 23:52
  him uh so that way he would have the best chance of leading them to
• 23:59
  victory during time guidance. And they tell Rand both Moraine and Suan tell him
• 24:06
  this. They tell him that they predicted the day who was born and Morain.
• 24:12
  Moraine did some searching not long after that, and she discovered that a
• 24:18
  soldier from one of a soldier that had been serving in the and Or Army
• 24:25
  had found who was also a blade master, had also had found an infants
• 24:30
  on the battlefield half frozen to death, and she tried to track this soldier
• 24:36
  down, but by that point he had already been sent home and she wasn't
• 24:40
  at the time wasn't able to find out much information. So for the next
• 24:44
  twenty years she spends Moraine spends much of her time out of the tower searching
• 24:49
  for tam al Thor, the man who found Rand as a baby and took
• 24:56
  him to the Two Rivers. She eventually finds information about him and how him
• 25:00
  and his wife took their adopted son back to the Two Rivers, and that's
• 25:04
  where she eventually ends up and she finds rand parent and Matt. The thing
• 25:11
  is is that what Nini was really upset about this because she didn't realize that
• 25:15
  she had given this little piece of information away. But when Nini was about
• 25:21
  six or seven years old, she does distinctly remember the author's coming back to
• 25:29
  the village and with them they had a small baby, so she knew that
• 25:33
  Rand was not born in the Two Rivers. She didn't know he was adopted,
• 25:41
  So when Morain finds us out, this leads her to con to further
• 25:45
  believe that Rand is the Dragon Reborn. But then at the events of the
• 25:48
  Eye of the World, it all but confirms that he is who he is.
• 25:53
  So they tell him right then and there that he is the Dragon Reborn
• 25:59
  and that he is to lead them all in the fight against the Dark One
• 26:03
  at Tamar guid In. Now. At first, Rand rejects this idea.

  He says, he tells him like he admits that, yes, he is
• 26:10
  a channeler, but he doesn't want to He doesn't ever want to channel again,
• 26:14
  and he has no plan. He has no interest in being upawn in
• 26:18
  their schemes. But the sometimes the best form of manipulation is pretending that you're
• 26:25
  letting the letting the one you're manipulating do what they want. So Suwan and
• 26:32
  Moraine tell Rand that we're not going to do anything. We're not going to
• 26:34
  take you back to Tarbalan. You're free to do what you want, what
• 26:38
  you wish. We're just letting you know that we're going that we're just letting
• 26:42
  you know that when you do accept your role and everything, we'll be here
• 26:48
  to support you. So they basically let him go and tell him he's free
• 26:53
  to go and do whatever he wishes. Not long after this, see right
• 27:00
  now, there's current When the ambulance seat arrives in the city, she arrives
• 27:03
  with about like twenty other Isidie sisters. So this city is filled to the
• 27:08
  brim with Isidi, including a certain red sister named Leandrin Bitch. She she
• 27:18
  wasn't so. Leandrine was introduced in season one of the Wheel of Time show,
• 27:22
  but in the books she wasn't introduced until book two. And her personality
• 27:29
  is she's very stuck up as an individual. She looks down on anyone that's
• 27:33
  not a woman. She has no she thinks men are useless and have no
• 27:38
  real use, you know, have no real purpose. And I say she's
• 27:45
  stuck up because she's always has her nose in the air. She's always looking
• 27:48
  down on everyone and sometimes even her own sisters. And Leandrin we see that
• 27:59
  even before, Like if I had not watched the show and already known that
• 28:02
  she was a dark friend, she because spoiler alert, Leandrin is one of
• 28:06
  the is one of the Black Asia. Uh I could already tell this chick
• 28:12
  was shady as hell because in the book when she tries, she actually tries
• 28:17
  to question Rand because Suwan and Moraine keep keep it a secret that Rand is
• 28:22
  the dragon reborn, and she tries to get Rand to tell her what he
• 28:29
  discussed with the Amberln And when she does this, she uses a weave of
• 28:33
  spirit to try to compel him to tell the truth, which is a little
• 28:36
  trick she figured out some which is like many of the acid I they have
• 28:42
  their own little tricks that they figured out how to do as a novice,
• 28:47
  something that they may not have shared with their teachers or with anybody else.
• 28:49
  And Leandrin's trick was using a weave of spirit to compel people to do what
• 28:56
  she wants. It's not always effective because she never really developed this ability beyond
• 29:02
  that, but she tried to use it on Rand, and Rand, being
• 29:07
  very strong willed, resists her, and she's frustrated but leaves it as is.
• 29:14
  Not long after this, the city comes under attack. Dark friends actually
• 29:22
  try manage to get sneak in some trollics and mirror drawl, and they attacked
• 29:29
  the city when everybody had their guard down. A lot of people died,
• 29:33
  but the fal Darren's, being a warrior society, quickly rise up and fight
• 29:37
  back. The contingent of warders that came with their isid I fight back as
• 29:41
  well, and the isid I also support, also help and support in their
• 29:47
  own way. The Isidi, because of their three year oaths can't actually get
• 29:51
  directly involved in conflicts, even when it comes to wait, hold on,
• 29:55
  hold on, back up one of the okay. So so when the three
• 30:00
  Oaths, they cannot use the weapon as a power unless it's an extreme self
• 30:04
  defense or in the fight against the dark. So of course they use their
• 30:07
  power to help fight back, maybe not in the flashiest way because they're in
• 30:11
  a city, but they do help and at the end of the and at
• 30:15
  the end of the battle they also use their power to heal the injured.

  So casualties was a lot less than what was expected. But in the aftermath
• 30:33
  of the battle, they do realize that it was really just a distraction because
• 30:38
  in the Dungeons of Faldara, excuse me, in the Dungeons of Faldara,

  they had actually captured another Dark. They had actually captured one of the Dark

  Friends, and it was none other than Pad and Fame. Pad and Fame

  was had made several appearances in book one. I didn't really talk about him

  much because he was really just a kind of like a footnote. He does

  cause he did cause problems for them, and he was eventually captured by the

  shine Errans and in prison in Faldhara. Thing about pat and Fane was that
• 31:15
  he was tortured and enchanted by Balzamon to seek out Rand and his friends.

  And when they captured him in Faldara, they locked him up, but when
• 31:27
  the when the trucks attacked, they released him, killing the guards. And
• 31:33
  uh, when he escapes, he actually manages to attack Matt and steals Matt's
• 31:42
  you know, he steals Matt's dagger, and he also steals the Horn of
• 31:48
  the Leer, which was currently being kept in Faldera until the Isidie could take
• 31:56
  it away. So it is the theft of not only the theft of Matt's
• 32:02
  dagger, but the horn of Valier that it that sparks what is called the
• 32:08
  Great Hunt. And that's really the sense, this is really the focus of
• 32:13
  the story is throughout most of the book, they are focused on finding and
• 32:19
  retaking the Horn of the Leer, and of course getting Matts Stagger back because
• 32:24
  because since he's still connected to the dagger, he will slowly waste away and
• 32:29
  die and the iside, we're supposed to kill him, but they weren't able
• 32:35
  to do that before it was stolen. Yeah, so Lord angel Mar as
• 32:40
  well as the ambulance seat. They tell Rand and his two friends Matt and
• 32:45
  Perrin to go after it. Because the thing about the Horn of Valier,
• 32:51
  its power allows anyone who blows it to summon the spirits of ancient heroes,
• 32:58
  heroes of legends, like a man named Archer Hotwing, a huntress named Burgite
• 33:07
  and her husband, and there's dozens of other like there's supposed to be a
• 33:12
  hundred spirits that can be summoned, that are summoned from the horn when you
• 33:15
  blow the horn. I can't name them all because not all their names were
• 33:19
  named, and I can't remember every one of them, but Archer hot Wing
• 33:22
  and Brigitte were two that stood out, mainly because Archer hot Wing is a
• 33:29
  legendary figure that managed to conquer all of the Westlands about a thousand years ago
• 33:36
  before he was overthrown by the isid Eye. Yeah, and Brigitte was a
• 33:42
  hunter, and she's actually a character that appears and becomes a very becomes important
• 33:47
  several times in the next few books. Won't go any further than that,
• 33:54
  but yeah. The thing about the Horn of the Leer, though, is
• 33:57
  that it doesn't matter who blows someone who fights for the Light or someone who
• 34:00
  fights for the Dark, because if you blow the horn, whoever blew the
• 34:05
  horn is the one who can control those spirits. So if a Dark friend
• 34:09
  blows the horn, those spirits will be compelled to fight for them. So
• 34:15
  it's very important that they get the horn back because once somebody blows the Horn
• 34:21
  of the Leer, that horn will only work for that one person at least
• 34:25
  until they die. So they got to make sure somebody on the Light who
• 34:34
  fights for the Light blows it so that way the horn becomes bound to that
• 34:39
  one person. So that is the quest that ran, Matt and Perrin are
• 34:47
  sent on. They're sent with a small contingent of Schinerians, including a very
• 34:52
  foul mouthed shineran name Uno. You'll recognize, you know, he's the one
• 34:58
  with the eye patch with the image of an eye on it. Well,
• 35:05
  in the show he dies brutally when he is executed by a group of people
• 35:12
  called the Shawn Sean and I'll get to those guys in just a second.
• 35:15
  But in the books, he's actually still alive. He doesn't, he does
• 35:20
  not, He doesn't die at the end of the uh any part of book
• 35:23
  two. In fact, he's still alive even up to book seven. Uh
• 35:30
  So that is another big difference. But uh so, Uno, along with

  a full but full force of chine Erans led by Rand and his friends,

  head out from Faldhara and see and follow the trail of padd and Fane and

  his and his trullocks. The thing about Padden Fane, though, is that

  he's not serving directly under Balzamon. He's just doing his own thing now.

  And uh he made a promise to Rand that he would make every person he
• 36:02
  cared about suffer and unless he can, unless he confronts Pad and Faine directly.
• 36:09
  But since pad Faine is currently heading west. Oh wait, uh it
• 36:15
  has like several days lead on Rand. Wait hold up, back up,
• 36:22
  back up, I got the directions wrong. They do have. They're actually
• 36:32
  heading like in a southeasterly direction because in book two, cut this part out.

  I'm trying to like, I'm getting my thoughts back in order. That's

  fine, take as much pamishingly, so they had more like a southwest direction
• 36:52
  at first, and then cut this part out because I'm trying to like,

  I'm just talking out loud. Eventually, they do get the form back from

  paddent Fane for like a short period of time, but then they get stolen

  again and they okay, okay, I got I got I got it,

  I got it. Yep. So they so they track the Padden Fane and

  his forces down south in a more like south west of Faldhara, and they
• 37:30
  come across several villages along there along the path and they find that the villages
• 37:39
  were either abandoned or they were completely killed. Padd and Fane was that they
• 37:45
  realized that Padden Fane is only allowing his trollocks to either eat to just take
• 37:52
  these people alive. And what they do is they end up eating these people
• 37:55
  later, because trollocks eat anything. I should also say that patt and Fane
• 38:00
  has a contingent of dark friends with him, and these dark friends were the
• 38:05
  ones hidden in Faldera, and they were probably the ones who let the trolls
• 38:09
  in in the first place. In either case, they do they follow.

  They continue to follow them south. While they're doing this, Igwayne and Ninive
• 38:22
  actually travel with the ambulance seat. When she makes her return to Tarbalan because
• 38:29
  now it is time for them to start their training as novices in the White
• 38:32
  Tower, Moraine does not go with them. She actually decides to go do
• 38:39
  her own thing, and for throughout the rest of the book, we don't
• 38:43
  actually see Moraine, at least not until the very end of the book.

  I will say this because in season two Moraine is somewhat doing her own thing,
• 38:52
  and she does come back and help Rand a bit. But I just

  want to point out this is a major difference between book and the series is

  that when Ishamel, when Morain confronted a shaw Mel with Rand while he was

  still sealed the way is Shamel dilled her or which is permanently severing her from

  the source, But it's later revealed that she wasn't stilled, but in fact

  she was shielded and the shielding weave was tied off. So it becomes self

  sustaining because in the series they make they hint that stilling, they hints that

  one stealing can only be done by like eight sisters. You need like eight

  channelers together to still one person or sever one person and in order and their

  weaves. They don't know how to tying off weaves is a lost talent,

  so modern isid I don't know how to tie off weaves. They can in

  order for them to use their weaves, they have to continuously concentrate on it.

  So like if they wanted to shield another channeler from the source and keep

  them from using it temporarily, they have to continuously focus on that person.

  But what is Shammel did was she he shielded her and tied her off so

  that way she can't touch the source. But then later Rand ends up cutting

  through the weave and she's and she gets her power back. But that doesn't

  happen at all in the books. If anything, it's revealed that Ninive and

  Igwaine realized and figure out how to tie weaves on their own, So it's

  not a lost talent, it's something that any channeler can do. It's actually

  something that any channeler can do. Ninive, I'm sorry, not Naive.

  Yeah. So but aside from that, they make it to Targlon with

  the ambulance seat while they're UH, while they're traveling, they actually travel down

  river from Faldhara to Targolon and h while they're traveling, so several of the

  sisters UH the traveling with them began giving them some lessons. Moraine had started

  giving them lessons on how to safely channel and do like small things like start
• 41:25
  fire, maybe make little witch lights and things like that. The other sisters
• 41:30
  start continue their education, giving them like pointers and things like that, and
• 41:34
  at one point Sewan herself gives them a lesson and it's just really more about
• 41:39
  just dangers of channeling, different things they could do with it. Uh Igwayne

  is attentive because she's actually she left the Two Rivers because she wanted to be
• 41:49
  in Isodaie all right, she felt that that was her calling. Ninive is
• 41:52
  more has proven to be more combative when it comes to this. She's very
• 41:58
  frustrated because she can't channel well. She can only channel when she was extremely
• 42:02
  angry, which honestly with her personality, which is almost all the time you
• 42:10
  you talk, if you just say the wrong thing to Ny, She's she's
• 42:14
  bound to pop off on you, which the ambulance seat does manage. Uh
• 42:20
  Like Ninive challenges her, saying like, wouldn't it be like more practical to
• 42:24
  use the one power to make weapons like you know, out of to like
• 42:29
  make weapons out of like air, things like that, and uh Sowan demonstrates
• 42:35
  that you can, that you can make a weapon out of thin air.

  But she creates a sword by condensing air into a solid object, and she
• 42:44
  but like Swan says that it for them, it just takes it takes too
• 42:47
  much energy and concentration to continuously hold a weave of air into a solid shape
• 42:53
  like that, And she says it's better to leave the sword play to their
• 42:57
  warders, which they'll get events when they're full, when they become full sisters,

  and it's better to use it on more practical things, like she shows

  them that you can restraint. She shows that you can restrain somebody by by

  holding by like a dancing air around a person and holding them in place.

  So it's kind of like tell a form of telekinesis, but simply by controlling

  air, and she restrains and pushes down nine Eve and holds her in place,

  and this pisses off Niney to the point where she starts channeling, and

  she actually blasts Suean across the room with a puff of air. Damn.

  You know that's a that's a difference from the show in the in the book.

  In the show, it's Leandren who's doing this, but in the book

  They eventually reached Tarvalan and Suan gives the two of them over to the

  looks like a middle aged woman with all white hair. But think about the

  iid Eye is that they don't really age, well, they do, but

  they live for a very long time, and they have what is described as

  isid i agelessness. So I said, I even if they have like streaks

  of going through their hair, their face looks ageless, like there's no there's

  no lines, no wrinkles, nothing that really gives away like what age they

  are. In Sheriam's case, she has fiery red hair and she looks like

  a young woman, barely older than Nini herself. But she immediately begins putting
• 45:23
  them through the through the ropes as novices, I is said, I make
• 45:31
  novices not only focus on their studies, but they're also put through like a
• 45:37
  lot of remedial housework. So their response, so the novices are put in
• 45:43
  charge of cleaning, cooking, serving the isid Eye whenever they need them,
• 45:47
  so like acting as attendance for the ice at ee, well more like meats,
• 45:52
  chamber meats than anything else. When they're raised to accept it those roles,
• 45:58
  they don't have to do that anymore, are they're more they take on
• 46:00
  more administrative roles, assists with teaching, and they're able to focus on their
• 46:05
  studies at their own pace, and they're able to like and that's when they
• 46:07
  begin researching which of the ages they want to go into, when they go
• 46:10
  up into when they reach the level of Isadaie. So they do spend a
• 46:17
  few months in the tower and it's there that the two that a GWayne and
• 46:22
  Ninive meet another novice named Elaine. Now Elaine was was introduced in book one.

  She is the Princess of and Or and daughter, daughter and heir apparent

  of the Kingdom of Andor. Her mother is Queen mor Gase, who currently

  is sitting in the in the line throne of Kinglin. Yeah, so Elaine

  had already been there for a short period of time and when Nanive and Agwaine

  gets there, she shows them the rope a bit, shows them around,

  gets an acclimated to the life of being a novice, and right at that
• 47:06
  moment she and she and Igwaine both realize that realize that they've reached a point

  in their training that they can now start not only seeing the power flowing through
• 47:22
  another through another channeler, but seeing the weaves as well, so when they
• 47:30
  realize this at the same time, they're just like, huh, we're both
• 47:31
  on the same level. So ninive or not nive Igwaine and Elaine are both
• 47:37
  equal in the power, which is actually both the two of them have the
• 47:42
  potential to be stronger than any of those currently more more powerful Isidai, which
• 47:49
  currently that's Suan and Moraine. Yeah, so Moraine and Suan are two of
• 47:53
  the most powerful isida in the tower, but Elaine and I GWayne are even
• 47:59
  more powerful than that. And then you got Nineve who's like up here all
• 48:06
  the way up there, yep, And we're gonna take I wanna take a
• 48:10
  little moment to step away from these two groups because the story does focus on
• 48:16
  other characters. Sometimes it focuses on Pat and Fane and how he's becoming more
• 48:22
  mad. But he's scoming more into madness. He notices he noticed that the
• 48:29
  dark One is Shamel is not able to really influence him anymore, and he
• 48:32
  notices that the blade the dagger that he stole from Matt is not only increasing
• 48:38
  his power, but it's making him more resistant to Ishammel's influence. So he's
• 48:44
  able to do his own thing and Uh, he's also trying to figure out
• 48:50
  what he's gonna do with the Horn of the Leer because he's not gonna give
• 48:52
  it over to the Dark One. He wants to use it for his own
• 48:55
  purposes aside from them. Uh. It does go to a to a particular
• 49:06
  smuggler that we actually meet in book one, and he is this very smuggler
• 49:10
  is introduced in season two. Maureen has a brief dealing with him at the
• 49:16
  beginning of the show and what, ma'am, I'm miss ma'am, I'm busy,
• 49:27
  not the dog. Oh yeah, she's ease me. Anyway. So

  this guy, the smuggler's name is Doman, and Doman is an alien smuggler,

  and it does briefly focus on him for a for a short period of

  time throughout the the book because he's actually sailing along the west coast of the

  Westlands Yea, and he has an encounter with a foreign fleet. Now when

  he first sees he had actually already been getting rumors, hearing rumors about some

  fighting going along on an area in an area called Toman's Head, and there

  have been strange reports about foreign fighters wearing strange armor and also even wilder stories

  of isid Ie helping these soldiers, which if everyone in the Westland, in
• 50:34
  the Westlands know that isid I don't take part in conflicts or fight as soldiers
• 50:39
  because their three OAHs prevent them from doing anything like that. They can't tell
• 50:45
  a lie, they can't make weapons for which men can kill other men with,
• 50:49
  and they can't use the one power as a weapon unless it's an extreme
• 50:52
  self defense or in the fight of and or in the no it's or in
• 50:57
  the fight against the Dark One and his dark horses. So if it was

  just a whole, if if it was a nice and eye in a field
• 51:04
  a full of troks, they can go ham all they want. Yeah,
• 51:08
  but uh So, while he's sailing along the coast, he realizes that he's
• 51:19
  being followed by a large ship, I think something like a Mongolian style ship
• 51:25
  with those ribbed sails, and he tries to outpace them and keep to the
• 51:32
  closer to the shallows because his ship is more is more suited for rivers,
• 51:37
  but the ship, the foreign ship, continues to follow them. At one
• 51:39
  point, a pillar of fire shoots up from the ocean in front of them,
• 51:44
  forcing forcing Doman too uh stop his ship pull anchor and allow the ship
• 51:51
  the other ship to catch up. And his ship is boarded by uh,
• 51:57
  these strange soldiers and what is described is like bug like armor, so it's
• 52:02
  kind of bulbous looking. Their helmets have like these big old like bug like
• 52:08
  eyes on them. And when these soldiers board his ship, there's he notices
• 52:15
  a pair of women come on board too. One woman is warning wearing a
• 52:21
  blue and red dress with like kind of like lightning bolts streaking through it,
• 52:25
  and she and this woman is wearing a bracelet, and on the bracelets,
• 52:30
  coming out of the bracelet is a silver leash that's connected to a collar that's
• 52:37
  currently around the other woman's neck. And this woman and this other woman is
• 52:42
  wearing just a plain gray dress. And he's not sure, but he thinks
• 52:50
  that these women are isaid Ie or at the very least channelers. But he's
• 52:53
  never seen anything like this before. His men. The soldiers don't kill any
• 53:00
  of his men. They just force Doman as well as the rest of his
• 53:02
  crew, to swear fealty to the shan Shan Empire. And that's who these
• 53:08
  people are. They are Their group is called the shan Shan and these two
• 53:15
  women are actually are actually interesting because so the woman in the red dress is
• 53:23
  called a sold on and the woman with the collar on her neck it is
• 53:29
  a channeler, and she's what they call a domani, which means colored one.

  Now, the shan Shan have a cultural practice of enslaving channelers. They
• 53:44
  think channelers are too dangerous to be left alone to do their own thing,
• 53:49
  and all channelers should be collared. Like of course, males need to be
• 53:53
  executed while females need to be collared, and they do that by using a
• 54:00
  tarangriol called an adam and the adem in the book. The way that the
• 54:05
  adam in the book is described as just a simple silver collar with a leash
• 54:09
  coming out of it, and it's connected to a silver bracelet that the soldam
• 54:14
  wear. When they wear it, they're able to control their demane, the
• 54:19
  person who's collared. They're able to compel them to start channeling and direct the
• 54:24
  flow of their weaves. And through the demane, the souldim is able to
• 54:29
  direct the flow of their weaves. And basically what the soldam wants the domani
• 54:35
  to do be it create a blast of air, shoot a fireball. The
• 54:38
  demane have no choice but to do it now, And if you watch the
• 54:43
  show, the same thing is happening, except the a dom is much different.

  Like, of course it has the bracelet and it has the collar,
• 54:51
  but when the caller is put onto the demane, it expands into this like
• 54:55
  kind of like a metal right, uh, kind of like a breastplate thing,

  and there is no silver leash connecting it to the to the bracelet.

  But whenever the Suldam begins to use the demane's power, you can see like
• 55:15
  a tether, like a teather made out of just purece, like a tether
• 55:23
  of the one power. I guess you could say what it is. Yeah,

  so that shows that that's how they're using. That means that they're controlling
• 55:34
  their demane. And when the Suldan is trying, when the Sildam is training
• 55:38
  their demane and you know, or if their domane is acting out or does
• 55:43
  something that displeases them, a soldam can actually inflict pain onto the demane.
• 55:50
  So if they think like okay, like if they envision their demane being whipped
• 55:54
  by a chain, the demani will feel like they're being whipped by a chain.

  Yeah, any any form of pain they uh, the Suldan can think
• 56:05
  of the Demani will fill it. Another thing about the demane is that they
• 56:12
  can't take off the collar at all. Only a Suldan can remove the collar.

  But suldams would never remove a collar from a demane. And uh if
• 56:21
  a demane tries to grab or take the bracelet away from their souldan, uh
• 56:27
  the the Adam will immediately begin to inflict an insane amount of pain yeah on
• 56:34
  their on the demane. So the Suldan doesn't have to worry about their demane
• 56:40
  running away because if they try to run away, uh, the Adam will
• 56:45
  prevent them from running and it will inflict extreme pain on them if they If
• 56:50
  the Suldan takes off their bracelet and just puts it on a table in front
• 56:52
  of the demane, if the Demani just tries to grab it or run off
• 56:55
  with it, pain that's all they feel. Uh if they think if the
• 57:00
  Domani tries to think about lashing out against their soldam, pain. So it's
• 57:07
  like it's a very brutal and effective method of controlling these channelers. But back
• 57:15
  in the story, back in the story, the Uh, the shan Chan
• 57:19
  after getting oaths of fealty from Domen and his crew they leave him alone,
• 57:23
  and they direct Domen to go to the city of Fung, and it's there
• 57:30
  that they're forced to just basically wait. The shan Chan won't allow any kind
• 57:34
  of trade to come in or out of the city. And slowly the shan
• 57:38
  Chan are spreading out along Towman's head. They're they're attacking villages. They're not
• 57:45
  killing they're only killing soldiers or people who take up arms, but regular civilians
• 57:51
  and town folk. They'll just capture them, force them to swell, swear
• 57:54
  fealty, and then they'll leave them alone. Yeah. Uh uh. So

  back to Rand's crew. At one point, Rand gets separated from his from

  the rest of the group. Rand is with the o gear Loyal and I

  think he has Matt with him. Yeah, he has Matt with him.

  Brown Azia, varren Uh is a scholar and the the Brown the Brown Sisters,

  they love. They their goal is to preserve, seek out and preserve

  as much knowledge as possible, like the library and Tarvalan is the most is

  the largest library in the Westlands. The only one that can rival it is

  the library in Caraheim. Uh So, And what's interesting, what interests Varren

  the most is that for one thing Varren knows is one of she's one of
• 1:00:40
  the few Isadai who knows that Rand is the dragon reborn. And she also
• 1:00:46
  knows that Rand, as well as Parent and Matt are what are called tavern.

  I didn't really talk about the Tavarenne very much in book one, but

  Tavarinn, unlike normal people who are caught up in the flow and the design

  of the of the pattern, taverin actually affect and change the outcome of what

  the pattern intends. So whereas like the rest of the people pretty much live

  their lives with little too much choice or like free will, the pattern will
• 1:01:22
  dictate whether what they're what's going to happen in their lives, Taverin will actually

  change that. So if you get caught up with a tavern, your destiny,
• 1:01:30
  your fate will actually change. And the fact that there were three that
• 1:01:35
  came from the same village is unheard of. And now who uh so,

  she so yeah, Varansidai is focused on just observing these three boys and making

  trying to see, like what kind of effect will the three Taverin have on

  the world. And but at one point they make camp and around an object

  people, there's no animal life. There's plants, but the plant life looks

  to do. Uh. So, the sniffer tells Rand that they can still

  track Pad and Fane through this world. They're just gonna until they until they

  figure out how to get back to the real world. Might as well just

  them correctly. But it's implied that she thinks she knows what happened and has

  called Grome, and Grome kind of look like these mutated frog creatures. And

  the reason why they come across these creatures is because they hear a woman screaming

  and crying out for help. And when they reach her, they find a

  very beautiful woman wearing uh a pure white dress. She has a silver chain

  wrapped around her like a silver chain belt around her waist. Her hair has

  a veil of like these stars and diamonds, and Rand describes her as the

  horn of the Layer, he just grabs them both and dips. And this

  pisses off Padden Fane. He's like because he had a whole horde of trollocks

  standing guard, but most of them fell asleep, including the ones keeping watch

  for the night, and they managed to escape, and they make They decide

  to uh make their way to Carahim because then they realized that they're not that

  far from Carahim. Yeah, and because at one point they knew that their

  group would eventually reach cara Him. And when they do this, Patent Thane

  does give chase again, and Rand and his group do eventually reach Carahine.

  When they do, that is when Selene decides to dip and, saying that

  catch up to them. And while they're there, Rand learns that the city

  bit about the Game of Houses in the last episode, but basically it it's

  to get all these invitations from these nobles who want to use him in like

  some form of scheme to get one up over the next noble over or like

  their rivals, and Wren wants really nothing to do with it because he doesn't

  pretend to be a noble, but everyone seems to think he is. And
• 1:16:45
  he's even told some people like I'm not a noble, all right, but
• 1:16:51
  they just look at it at how he's dressed, and they're like, yeah,
• 1:16:54
  you're right, you're not a noble, you're a shepherd. Yeah.

  So rand keeps he either ignores or he throws he'll throw away the invitation from

  these nobles because he doesn't want anything to do with their game of houses or

  be a part of any other schemes. Eventually, as he's wandering, he

  decides to like explore Carraine, and he even explores the Foregate because Carmine has

  like its inner city, which is protected by walls and gates and things like
• 1:17:29
  that, and outside of it is this like kind of like a shanty town
• 1:17:32
  that's made of all wood and it's frud It's called Foregate. Uh. It's
• 1:17:39
  called that because during the Ael War in many wars beside it, a lot
• 1:17:44
  of Carahenian Krahenans. They are in order to escape pillaging and the fights,
• 1:17:53
  they would travel to king to Carraine. And while they're in Caraine, they
• 1:18:01
  either just refuse to go back to their villages or they can't because their villages
• 1:18:05
  were destroyed. So they ended up building the Foregate. And the problem with
• 1:18:10
  the Foregate is that it gets burned down pretty much and every time the city
• 1:18:14
  is besieged, so it's full of people who really can't afford to live inside
• 1:18:21
  the city, or people who can't afford to go back to their homes or
• 1:18:25
  the villages, or they just refuse to go back. M And this especially

  true during the Ideal War. Even though Kira Hein feild during the Iel War.

  So he explores the Fourgate a bit, and he actually runs into a
• 1:18:42
  character from season one, Book one that we all thought died, and that
• 1:18:46
  is a Gleeman, which gleemen are like traveling guards. This particular Gleman traveled

  with this group in book one throughout the first half of book one. Name

  is Tom Marilyn. And Uh he realized Tom Marilynd was thought to have died

  uh when they reached uh White Bridge, and that was because they got cornered

  get away, and Rands was pleasantly surprised to see Tom Marilyn is not only

  alive, but he's performing in the poor Gate. They talked for a bit.

  Uh. Rand offers Tom to travel with him for a bit. Tom

  refuses initiative. Initially refuses because he just doesn't really want to get involved with

  Rands in his group anymore, and also because he's pretty much he's already setting

  up setting like settling down here. Uh. But in either case, he

  does give Ryan some advice, especially concerning the game of because he learns from

  Rand that Ran has been getting those little invitations, and he tells Ran,

  just be careful, because it's not it's not going to stop, all right,

  just because you ignore these invitations. You mean, like, when you

  ignore these invitations, you're basically making new enemies. Those smaller nobles can't really

  cause you much trouble. But if you ignore invitation from the big, like

  the more influential, more powerful nobles, those will be very powerful enemies you'd

  make, even though even if you don't want to have anything to do with
• 1:20:38
  them. So Rand takes his advice, but continues to throw away the invitations.

  At one point he had get he receives a whole stack of the invitation.

  At the end, he's staying at like the innkeeper comes up with a

  platter stat tied with all these invitations, and RAN's getting so pissed off he

  grabs them and throws them in the fire. Damn. Yeah. And the

  thing is that the game of houses is played on all levels, not just
• 1:21:05
  the nobility, but also the common people. So the common people in the

  inn see this. And the way the common people play the game of houses

  is by spelling information to the actual life to the highest bidders. So these

  commoners are gonna tell all the nobles like, are definitely gonna spread the roomor

  like oh yeah, yeah, yeah, likedling noble. Yeah, he's throwing

  away all those invitations. Eventually, though, Padd and Fane as well as

  the Shinerans catch up to Rand, but unfortunately Padd and Thane catches up to

  him first. So while Rant and Loyal and the Sniffer are staying at the

  end, Padd and Fane's dark friends they break into the inn and they burn

  it to the ground and they make off with the Dagger and the Uh and
• 1:22:00
  the Horn of the Leer again. And right after they escape the fire,

  that's when they run into the shiny Erans as well as Baron said I and
• 1:22:11
  Matt and Perrin and there and they're all the Shans ask him, did you

  find did you manage to get the Horn of the Leer from parent? Like,

  the King, and the most powerful and influential nobles have sent him invitations.

  And varren Ah thinks that this could be beneficial to them, because how could

  have how could the dark Friends have gotten into the city and gotten out so

  easily made off? And how would they have known that rent where rent was?

  I mean, of course, like I said, the game of houses

  played in every level. But they do some investigations. They find out that

  the city gate, the guards at citygate have been telling Uh, of course,

  tell everybody where they're going. And they realized that the king's rival who

  sent Wren that other vitation is possibly a dark Friend, and they do some
• 1:24:05
  more investigation and they do confirm that he is a dark Friend and that he
• 1:24:11
  was harboring padd and Fame. And while they're investigating his manner, they also
• 1:24:17
  realize that pa and that there is a waygate inside this noble's manner. So
• 1:24:27
  somewhere on this dude, like, somewhere in the garden of this dude's property
• 1:24:31
  is awaygate, and Loyel points that out because he's like, I can feel
• 1:24:34
  the because loyal as an o gear can sense where the way gates are and
• 1:24:39
  if they're nearby. So he senses one and he says and he tells him
• 1:24:43
  that's that there's a waygate nearby. And they realize that there's a reason why
• 1:24:46
  padd and Faine went to this particular dark friend in general, and that's because

  of the waygate. So they so, taking Baron's advice, they accept that

  dude's invitation and is to get an audience with a guy. They exchange pleasantries

  and everything, and they sneak away to find the way gate, and they
• 1:25:09
  find it. But when they open the waygate, they immediately see that on
• 1:25:13
  the other side is mock and Shin, which I remember from book one is
• 1:25:17
  the Black Winds, which is this parasitic entity that inhabits the ways. So
• 1:25:25
  when they open the waygate, Mock and Shin is right there at the entrance,
• 1:25:29
  and they can see that this mirror like subs, this mirror like field
• 1:25:35
  which usually keeps Mocking Shin from getting out of the way gate is beginning to
• 1:25:40
  bulge outward and it's trying to reach Koran. So they realized a lot.

  Sorry, they realized that, oh, it's trying to get out, so

  they quickly shut the waygate, and unfortunately they're not able to fall a patent

  than through the waves. Now they are not entirely they're where patt and Fane

  is going at first, but the noble that uh the noble whose invitation they

  accepted, uh Tell, actually gives him a message from padd and Faine,

  and pattent Fane basically tells Ran that he has like two months to meet him

  in Toeman's Head at the city of Falm and face him directly, and if

  he doesn't reach if he doesn't meet him by that timeline, patten Fane is

  going to make everyone that Ran cares about suffer. So basically it's a it's

  a threat against Emon's field, is family and Eman's field. So Raan has

  to think. He has to think quickly how can they get to Touman's Head
• 1:26:55
  quickly and meet the deadline. And he realized he remembers, wait, there's
• 1:27:00
  another way, and that's using the portal stone, and he pitches his idea
• 1:27:09
  to Varren, and Varren, who knows a thing or two about the portal
• 1:27:13
  stones, she's not entirely sure this would work, but especially because since they
• 1:27:17
  have such a large number of people that are going to need to be transported
• 1:27:20
  from one portal stone to another, one herself doesn't have the kind of power
• 1:27:27
  to activate the portal stone, but she know since she knows that he's a
• 1:27:30
  dragon reborn, she's like, Okay, this might work. So they cracked
• 1:27:39
  down the nearest portalstone and Ran remembering the fimble that, remembering the symbol that
• 1:27:47
  Selene total and represented their world, he finds it on the portal stone,
• 1:27:53
  and he focuses his efforts on Toeman's head on the city oft Fall, and
• 1:28:01
  it does work work. But the thing is is that they're Their journey isn't
• 1:28:12
  exactly a pleasant one because when Rn activates the Portalstone, he at first ends
• 1:28:17
  up transporting everyone's minds into other realities and other potential like like happenings like what
• 1:28:26
  would happen like basically has a total what if moment, like what if rand
• 1:28:32
  that isn't discovered and by Moraine, what if this? What if that?
• 1:28:36
  So like him and the rest of their group ended up living out different lives
• 1:28:41
  as he's trying to like get them to go from one portal stone to the
• 1:28:45
  next, and it's it worked. They end up at the portal stone at
• 1:28:53
  at Toeman's Head outside of the city of Falm. But when they appear,
• 1:28:58
  unfortunately they missed the deadline because instead of just disappearing trailing from one portal stone
• 1:29:05
  to the other in an instant, RN accidentally transports them three months into the
• 1:29:12
  future. Oh wow, so he missed his deadline by like a month.

  But it works out because even though Patton Thane did reach Fall, he ends

  up falling in with the Sean Sean. He gives the horn of vill Layer

  to the high lord that is currently residing over and but the thing is is

  that he underestimated the shan Chan and their ways. He's he thinks that they

  will do things like people in the Westlands do things, but they don't like,

  for example, commoners don't really have property, and so like commoners aren't

  really treated as slaves, but they're treated but they're not treated like people.

  Your property can be taken away whenever, and the high lords and nobles of

  the shan Shan are extremely entitled. Like for them, it is their right

  her if they want to help her, and thinking like okay, well,

  them basically and drags them to Fall to Fall where she gives them over to

  Elaine actually do make a run for it, and uh. Elaine and like

  Ninive gets pissed up to where she starts channeling and she starts chucking fireballs at

  the Sean. Sean. Uh, they had a few other demany there with

  them, so the demani start firing back, but Elaine and Ninive do manage
• 1:50:50
  to get away. Uh. The high Lord looks at Leandrew and it is
• 1:50:54
  like, great, now what am I supposed to do? And Leandre's like,
• 1:50:58
  I don't know, figure it out. She dips, goes back to
• 1:51:00
  the way figure it out and so yes, Unfortunately Igwayne does get collared and
• 1:51:08
  taken in. By this, the seanchan to be trained as a demane and
• 1:51:13
  her to say, at least her time there is not pleasant. She does
• 1:51:16
  repeatedly try to escape and try to fight back, but with the Adam around
• 1:51:20
  her neck, she can't be fit. She keeps it's basically torture. She's
• 1:51:27
  tortured into doing what they want. And this is this whole ordeal is very
• 1:51:31
  traumatic for her. Nieve Anna Laine do figure out a way to rescue Igwayine,
• 1:51:42
  so unlike in the finale of season two, Igwayine does not actually take
• 1:51:48
  place in any fighting against the White Cloaks who do who do attack Phone at
• 1:51:56
  the towards the end of the book, he's actually rescued by nine and by
• 1:52:02
  Ninive and Elaine. But before they do that, they do manage to capture
• 1:52:08
  a Demane and a UH and a Soldam, and Nini figures out that there
• 1:52:14
  is a way to unlock the Adam, at least the collared portion around holding
• 1:52:19
  the the Demane, and she tests this theory uh when they're during one of
• 1:52:26
  the patrols of Suldam and Demane. So they so Elayne and Ninive hide themselves,

  uh just keep themselves just out of sight by from a passer by Suldam
• 1:52:39
  and Demane and using a weave of spirit. And I believe she does use

  earth two uh, Ninive like kind of pokes at the collar with a weave

  of spirit and the collar tops off of the demane and when this happens,
• 1:52:59
  both the demane and the Soul dom are just shocked, like what should happened?

  Because that's never happened before in their history. No one has ever been
• 1:53:10
  able to unlock into a dom. But that's because there's never been a free

  channeler who's smart enough to do that. So I like the sh and what

  Yeah, but this is hilarious because this demonic just happened to be a West

  Westlands girl. She wasn't one of the demonic from Shan Shan because those demane

  are completely obedient. They spent their entire lives being uh groomed and trained,

  cooperate at first, but just from observing the the adam, Ninive realizes something.

  Not even Elaine realized something. So they put the collar on the Souldan

  and this shops the soul down because if you put the collar around a person

  who can't channel, on a person who can't channel, it won't activate.

  get a disguise for themselves and they sneak into nineve and not even Elaine sneak

  into the compound where the Demona are being held, and they force their sultan

  to take them to the room that Agwainne is being held in, and from
• 1:56:26
  there they release Agwayne and they leave their the Soldan that they have collared there.

  But before they leave, the Souldam that was training Igwaine comes in and
• 1:56:38
  Agwaine immediately grabs that pot of water that that Suldan was forcing her to pour
• 1:56:42
  water for and asses it on her head. It It was hilarious, but
• 1:56:47
  unfortunately, unfortunately Igwayne doesn't kill the Suldam like she does in the in the
• 1:56:55
  show, which was so satisfying by the way, Sad instead she ends up
• 1:57:01
  taking the down that was used on a GWayne and she collars that Soldan and
• 1:57:11
  she forces that Suldan to experience all of the pain that she had experienced,
• 1:57:16
  and then she just leaves the two of them there. And the two Souldan
• 1:57:20
  were like, wait, no, don't leave us here. If the others
• 1:57:23
  find us, will be shame blah blah blah, and the girls are all
• 1:57:27
  like so and they leave. Yeah. It's at this point that other things
• 1:57:34
  begin to happen. So this is where things are starting to pick up in
• 1:57:38
  the story. So Rand's group make it into the city. They actually do
• 1:57:46
  raid the high Lord Sourats mansion. I'm not Throts, I'm sorry the high
• 1:57:51
  Lord Throts Mansion, and they do manage to steal the Horn of the Leer
• 1:57:59
  from Uh to Rock Uh. And Rand actually does end up fighting to Rock
• 1:58:08
  and the thing is to Rok is a blade master. He has a heron
• 1:58:12
  Mark blade and the two of them do fight and Ran almost loses, but
• 1:58:16
  he remembers his lessons that he received from his father. So one of the
• 1:58:20
  things his father taught him was to enter the do something called entering the void.

  So it's like basically like censoring yourself and like, uh, not so

  much as pushing aside or suppressing your emotions, but like setting them aside and

  entering a state of just like a void. And by doing this you become

  actually manages to defeat the high lords Turok and kill him. He doesn't get

  some small he does sustain some small injuries from his fight, but he escapes

  with Matt and Perrin. Matt manages to get his dagger back, and they

  don't encounter patt and Fane because in the con during the fight, he just

  books it. His trollot forses were unfortunately killed, well not unfortunately, but

  were killed by this John Shawn and his dark friends were scattered, so pattent

  Fane. They miss patten Fane, but they do manage to get the Horn

  of v Layer back, and when they escape with the Shineerans, they realize

  they're kind that they're actually pinned between two separate forces, the shaun Shan,

  which are currently marching out of the city to face another threat, and that

  is in the form of the White Cloaks. So the White Cloaks had fit

  had learned that there was an invasion going on from like a foreign army,

  so they send their own forces to try to take back Falm. Because the

  thing about the White Cloaks is that they're problematic. I've established that in the

  last in the last episode, they're basically like the Akka and the Nazis rolled

  up in one, except they're extreme witch their witch hunters and they hunt for
• 2:00:39
  dark friends. But all they really succeed in doing is sowing mistrust and division

  among people that they try to help. And they thought, well, if

  we can their thought process was, if we can free Fall from this invading
• 2:00:54
  forces, the nobility of Falm would be so grateful that they would allow the
• 2:01:00
  White Cloaks to set up permanent residents there. But they end up losing anyway

  because the Seanchan are too powerful, especially with the Demane. But in all
• 2:01:12
  the chaos, the Seanchuan do end up getting driven out of Fall because when
• 2:01:16
  they realize when Ren and his friends realize that they're pins between a rock and
• 2:01:20
  a hard place. They decided to use the horn of the Leer, So

  Matt he takes the horn and he blows it and he summons the spirit of
• 2:01:32
  one hundred heroes of legend, and these spirits immediately attack the Seanchan and the
• 2:01:42

  had hidden it in his saddle bags. But they do fly the banner over

  the city and this fulfills the uh. The next part of the prophecies,

  in the aftermath of the battle, the shaun Sean do flee from the city.

  They do find that Moraine was there in the city. She stowed up

  try to escape from the city in secret. Yeah. But the thing is

  is that as they were making their way out of the city, that was

  when the shan Shan forces were marching out of it to face to confront the

  White Cloaks. The thing is, though the sean Chuhan didn't know that Igwayne

  had escaped, but she freaked out because she didn't want to. She was

  like, I will never be collared again, and she immediately starts attacking the

  shan Chuan with her power. But this forces them all to flee because the

  demane the chan Chuan. Uh the soldown along with their with their demane immediately

  hone in on Iguayne and the other girls and start attacking them with their demane,

  and Ninive ends up like this pisses off nine Eve enough to where he

  starts channeling and she starts lobbing fireballs left and right. Uh So this leads

  to a back and forth battle with the with the shan Chan and the demane,

  but the girls do managed to escape and this is pretty much where the

  book ends. Uh. One thing they didn't realize was that Min was also

  meet her, they had actually met Min in a tavern in the city of

  berylin pretty early on. When they meet her. Night Moraine actually knew of

  Knight of Min in her talents for a while, but because of the circumstances,

  of the prophecy. You fulfilled another part of the prophecy, and that is,
