- 0:06Speaker 1: Hey babe, welcome back to another bonus episode of the
- 0:09Speaker 1: Give Them a La Podcast. We are sticking to VPR,
- 0:13Speaker 1: which is wild because we did an entire regular episode
- 0:18Speaker 1: with VPR questions. I forgot the exact Yeah, what was
- 0:24Speaker 1: the exact wording VPR moments that you want me to
- 0:27Speaker 1: break down or something.
- 0:28Speaker 2: And rape dive and all that.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, So I wanted to continue the theme because
- 0:32Speaker 1: I'm in good spirits.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Yay.
- 0:35Speaker 2: You know.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I love talking about this, by the way, like you're
- 0:37Speaker 4: hearing about it, yes, because like we've seen the show.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We've seen the moments, yeah, or at least.
- 0:44Speaker 5: I have, and now we get to hear your side
- 0:48Speaker 5: of it.
- 0:49Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, I usually just end I pick her
- 0:51Speaker 3: up from all of it, and then I just get
- 0:53Speaker 3: to hear about it, and then I'm like, yeah, do
- 0:55Speaker 3: I need to watch it?
- 0:56Speaker 1: Well, I'm a I'm an obsessor. So what happens is
- 0:59Speaker 1: I I have to And that's why it Usually I
- 1:03Speaker 1: do it to my mom or Easton because I know
- 1:05Speaker 1: that they won't want to backhand me. But I have
- 1:08Speaker 1: to obsess and go in circles and in circles until
- 1:12Speaker 1: I tire myself out and I'm like whatever, I'm fucking
- 1:14Speaker 1: over it. And it's like I look at the clock
- 1:15Speaker 1: and it's like, well, I'm glad you could be over it.
- 1:17Speaker 1: After two hours of not time, I'm like no, I'm stop.
- 1:21Speaker 5: No, she just goes all right, I want to get
- 1:23Speaker 5: off of it.
- 1:24Speaker 6: It's like, okay, but can I tell you?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Because I know that's how I am. When I have
- 1:27Speaker 1: friends who who are talking about something and then the
- 1:32Speaker 1: subject is changed and they come back to it, I
- 1:34Speaker 1: ask them do you need to obsess over it? And
- 1:37Speaker 1: if they're like I need to obsess, I'm like, go
- 1:39Speaker 1: for it. Obsess. What are we talking about? Do you
- 1:41Speaker 1: want me to shut the fuck up? Do you want
- 1:42Speaker 1: me to participate in the conversation? Do you want me
- 1:45Speaker 1: to like really go in on this hoe or do
- 1:47Speaker 1: you want me to like calm you down? And they're
- 1:49Speaker 1: go in on this hole and then we obsess.
- 1:51Speaker 4: That is such a good thing to do, because yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 4: same thing. It's like not about vander Pump, but same thing.
- 1:57Speaker 4: I'm like, do you want to vent right now? Because
- 1:59Speaker 4: so much many times with my friends they'd be going
- 2:02Speaker 4: in on someone or venting. I'd be like, well, hold
- 2:04Speaker 4: on a second, and they'd get so pissed and I
- 2:06Speaker 4: was like oh, and then I learned like, oh, they
- 2:08Speaker 4: just want to like vent. They don't want a solution.
- 2:11Speaker 4: They don't want me to calm them down. They want
- 2:13Speaker 4: me to like.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Them up. Yeah, they need an ear and a hype man. Yeah, okay,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I dig it.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Did you watch the first season Law was on?
- 2:22Speaker 1: Oh God, I have not know.
- 2:24Speaker 2: No, you watch none of it, even like your sister's
- 2:26Speaker 2: on TV.
- 2:26Speaker 5: Okay, I didn't even watch anything.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I was in interesting okay, because I could.
- 2:32Speaker 1: See you at all.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, just like having her on TV.
- 2:37Speaker 4: I didn't know if it was like a you guys
- 2:38Speaker 4: started and then we're like maybe we shouldn't watch this.
- 2:41Speaker 5: No started and never watched it.
- 2:44Speaker 1: The thing is is like.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Not to as well.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Well, I would prefer they not watch it just because
- 2:50Speaker 1: I feel like it's and it's not because of my behavior.
- 2:52Speaker 1: My family has seen me for exactly who I am.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Like my mom always says, I don't need to watch
- 2:58Speaker 1: the show because I get the real life version. I
- 3:00Speaker 1: know my daughter takes their top off waterfalls. I know
- 3:04Speaker 1: my daughter pretends like she could kick your ass when
- 3:07Speaker 1: she's never been in a fight.
- 3:08Speaker 6: I know my kid right. My dad knows me.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Easton knows me. They didn't watch because they would get
- 3:15Speaker 1: overly protective and they didn't want to see people be mean.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And still to this day, when my mom says, well,
- 3:20Speaker 1: they were really mean to you, not they in any
- 3:22Speaker 1: particular person, or you know, setup could be we're talking
- 3:27Speaker 1: about high school, right, that person was mean to you.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Those people were mean to you on VPR. And I'm like,
- 3:32Speaker 1: but I wasn't innocent. She goes, I don't care you're
- 3:34Speaker 1: my baby.
- 3:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't care you're my baby.
- 3:37Speaker 4: That's a good point, and it's just yeah, and it's
- 3:39Speaker 4: just better maybe for them not to see. Yeah, that's
- 3:42Speaker 4: how my parents at first were with the podcast. They
- 3:45Speaker 4: were like, oh my gosh, this is so fun.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Listen.
- 3:47Speaker 4: And then when I started talking about like sex and stuff,
- 3:49Speaker 4: my mom and dad were like.
- 3:51Speaker 2: We're just not gonna listen.
- 3:52Speaker 6: I mean, that's totally I love.
- 3:54Speaker 4: I love it feels safe, the space feels safer. Okay,
- 3:59Speaker 4: So we are going to start with So, I know
- 4:03Speaker 4: you talked about this relationship a couple weeks ago, but
- 4:07Speaker 4: I am curious about the arc, and many people asked
- 4:10Speaker 4: about this the relationship arc of you and James the
- 4:13Speaker 4: most iconic duo.
- 4:15Speaker 2: More so, I'm.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Curious where did you mey, When did you meet and
- 4:19Speaker 4: was it like immediately like oh, this is the guy
- 4:23Speaker 4: and like he's fun.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Or did you guys ever not get along at first.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I'd have to go back and watch the very first
- 4:30Speaker 1: interaction I had with James because I cannot remember meaning
- 4:34Speaker 1: on camera because I can't remember if I met him beforehand.
- 4:40Speaker 1: But I do remember him kind of being the young
- 4:47Speaker 1: DJ who was kind of to the group that like
- 4:51Speaker 1: annoying fly, and not because he was an annoying fly,
- 4:54Speaker 1: but because he was like young and excited about life
- 4:56Speaker 1: and he's a DJ and he's on the accent and
- 4:59Speaker 1: he's just like he was really excited to just be alive.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Yeah you know. Yeah, So he felt like a safe
- 5:06Speaker 1: space when I first entered vander pump Roles because I
- 5:10Speaker 1: was not brought in with open arms, which was fine,
- 5:15Speaker 1: Like I knew it would be that way. Tom and
- 5:17Speaker 1: Ariana were very kind to me right from the very beginning.
- 5:23Speaker 1: They seem to be the ones that like gave me
- 5:25Speaker 1: a chance, right. But I do remember season four like
- 5:30Speaker 1: someone having a party at Sheena's mom's house and like
- 5:35Speaker 1: Faith and I were the new kids, and Faith was invited,
- 5:38Speaker 1: but I wasn't invited. There was something about me that
- 5:41Speaker 1: they weren't quite sure of. And I get it. I
- 5:43Speaker 1: was the girl who like posted pictures of me with
- 5:48Speaker 1: just my ass out, you know, and it was iconic.
- 5:52Speaker 4: It was and back in the day when I mean,
- 5:54Speaker 4: ass is out everywhere now, but it was less out then.
- 5:57Speaker 1: It was completely different. Yeah, I feel yeah, you might
- 6:01Speaker 1: clothes acceptance. Yeah, like, now I see these bitches. I'm like, oh,
- 6:07Speaker 1: say ambular to go through my closet again.
- 6:10Speaker 5: You know how.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Clueless? You know, it's clueless how she walks up camber
- 6:15Speaker 1: and she's like, say ambular because she's wearing the exact
- 6:18Speaker 1: same outfit that she had on like two days ago. Yeah, yes,
- 6:22Speaker 1: but it's just very funny. Yeah, I'm like, oh, the
- 6:25Speaker 1: sea through skirt with the ass out. Oh, I remember
- 6:27Speaker 1: I wore that to the season five premiere party. Right.
- 6:31Speaker 4: You guys joined the same official cast members the same season,
- 6:34Speaker 4: right you and James because I know he was Kristen's boyfriend.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yes, his first season was the time before the season before.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I think he came in three and then we were
- 6:45Speaker 1: more like I would say we were fixture season four.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Okay, we may not have had like title cards right.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Where they introduced us with the theme song at the
- 6:54Speaker 1: very beginning, but I would say that we had stories
- 6:58Speaker 1: to tell. They were interested in following us around, right,
- 7:02Speaker 1: So I think when you're two people who are kind
- 7:06Speaker 1: of on the fringe or the odd people out, it
- 7:09Speaker 1: becomes and we were into like taunting them.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, it's like we're young and hot.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You're not, even though they were all so young and hot.
- 7:20Speaker 1: But I know when you are in an environment like that,
- 7:23Speaker 1: you buy into your own fiction.
- 7:24Speaker 6: Then you add alcohol, and now you're really in the
- 7:26Speaker 6: fiction section.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Right.
- 7:28Speaker 1: It was fun.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You two were fun.
- 7:31Speaker 4: This is a great segue into this next question because
- 7:33Speaker 4: it's the only regret I think I've ever heard you say.
- 7:36Speaker 4: But they're saying any regrets, either things you've done or
- 7:40Speaker 4: shared on the show, I've only heard you ever say one,
- 7:42Speaker 4: and it was something you said.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And I'm going to take in season eleven as well,
- 7:46Speaker 1: which was my season where I've said I think I
- 7:49Speaker 1: said this on two teas.
- 7:52Speaker 6: It may not have been like.
- 7:55Speaker 1: A high as far as the audience goes, but season
- 7:59Speaker 1: eleven for me was a personal high. I felt a
- 8:02Speaker 1: tremendous amount of growth. I felt a tremendous amount of
- 8:04Speaker 1: peace within myself, which has.
- 8:06Speaker 6: Never really happened. Right loved myself.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Season ten, I was like living my best life, but
- 8:13Speaker 1: I was still in turmoil and like fight mode, I
- 8:15Speaker 1: was living off of adrenaline. Each season I can go
- 8:18Speaker 1: through and pinpoint exactly where I was mentally. Season eleven
- 8:21Speaker 1: was the first season where I'm like, I'm I am
- 8:24Speaker 1: who I am right now, Like I got questions, but
- 8:28Speaker 1: I feel at peace. It was a great So I'm
- 8:30Speaker 1: gonna take that one into account as well. My only
- 8:34Speaker 1: regret that I have filming this show. What season five?
- 8:38Speaker 1: Walking up to that table talking about summer bodies? I
- 8:44Speaker 1: did not That was not me. I could tell in
- 8:47Speaker 1: that moment. Number one, We've been drinking, but we're also
- 8:50Speaker 1: feeling very insecure. I knew the rumblings. I knew what
- 8:54Speaker 1: the season was gonna be about, because we have a
- 8:59Speaker 1: meeting with producer before we start filming every single year.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Every single year we walk in and we talk about it.
- 9:08Speaker 1: This meeting, they called me out for the tattoo I
- 9:12Speaker 1: had that is now covered by a lion. What did
- 9:15Speaker 1: those initials stand for. He said, I'm gonna call it
- 9:18Speaker 1: exactly what it is. We've been told you're dating a
- 9:21Speaker 1: married man. And it was like taking a fucking bullet
- 9:25Speaker 1: because I was like, that's my that's what is being said.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And I didn't even know how to like comprehend it,
- 9:37Speaker 1: you know, because I was like, this is being said
- 9:40Speaker 1: in one part of my life, but then this is
- 9:42Speaker 1: being told to me on the other side, and like,
- 9:45Speaker 1: who do I trust this group of reality TV personalities
- 9:49Speaker 1: who I just met, or like this person who's like
- 9:52Speaker 1: telling me that we're gonna be together forever and like
- 9:57Speaker 1: we're boyfriend and girlfriend. You know who says like that
- 10:00Speaker 1: if they're like a married person. I'm trying to talk
- 10:02Speaker 1: to a producer like that and he just keeps coming
- 10:07Speaker 1: back at me with things that I'm like, you're right,
- 10:09Speaker 1: that doesn't make much sense. Then I go back to
- 10:13Speaker 1: the other side and say what the producer said and
- 10:16Speaker 1: what the cast is saying, and it was just fucking torture.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I ran away that season back to Utah.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Going into the night when of filming where I dropped
- 10:26Speaker 1: the Summer Bodies, that was me going in and feeling
- 10:29Speaker 1: like I've got to demolish and goes so fucking low,
- 10:34Speaker 1: go so like bottom feeeder, bottom of the barrel, gutter,
- 10:39Speaker 1: like you don't even, you don't even. I didn't even
- 10:43Speaker 1: recognize myself. I'm like, we don't. We don't talk like
- 10:46Speaker 1: this what you're doing? But I was feeling that insecure
- 10:49Speaker 1: just about what was gonna be said.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that makes sense, and it does segue into this
- 10:54Speaker 4: next question. Do you regret having your X on the show?
- 10:59Speaker 5: No?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Yeah, because it reminds people that I like, went.
- 11:02Speaker 4: There, okay, right right, A little embarrassed, a little lot.
- 11:09Speaker 2: We're a lot embarrassed.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like, how did this happen? It's okay, and
- 11:16Speaker 1: it really doesn't feel good. When my mom goes, oh,
- 11:19Speaker 1: what were you thinking? And and the touching, I was like,
- 11:25Speaker 1: stop stop, I can't even think about it.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna ask this. I'm gonna say, for any.
- 11:31Speaker 6: X you've ever had, Okay, yeah, have.
- 11:36Speaker 4: You ever been like I'm so like, I'm into this
- 11:40Speaker 4: person because I've had this once years ago.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I'm into this person so much.
- 11:45Speaker 4: But I'm very embarrassed to tell my mom or my
- 11:48Speaker 4: friends or whoever like I'm because they're gonna they're gonna
- 11:51Speaker 4: see a photo. Have you ever been I can think
- 11:55Speaker 4: of one, Yeah, okay, and been like and you really
- 11:58Speaker 4: have to preface it because I read I was literally
- 12:01Speaker 4: in seventh grade and I was like it was my
- 12:03Speaker 4: first boyfriend.
- 12:04Speaker 2: And I was like I remember being like, just.
- 12:06Speaker 4: No, he's so nice, Like he's so funny, he's got.
- 12:12Speaker 5: A great personality.
- 12:13Speaker 2: He like loves me.
- 12:14Speaker 4: And my girls girls have done that before too, They
- 12:17Speaker 4: like hold the Instagram and they're like just no, and
- 12:19Speaker 4: I'm like, oh god, like he.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Doesn't really look like he doesn't photograph.
- 12:24Speaker 3: That I or when you try to find a photo
- 12:26Speaker 3: of him and you're like you're scrolling too long.
- 12:31Speaker 4: Oh god, Okay, I'll ask this, Well, there's a couple
- 12:37Speaker 4: of these. What was it like when that group of
- 12:39Speaker 4: OG's left at once.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Left it once?
- 12:43Speaker 2: They all left it once?
- 12:44Speaker 1: Terrifying?
- 12:45Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:46Speaker 6: Why terrifying?
- 12:48Speaker 1: From a show standpoint, That's the only thing I'm going
- 12:51Speaker 1: to address. It's from a show standpoint. We get the
- 12:54Speaker 1: green light that we're going back into season nine and
- 12:56Speaker 1: we've lost It's not I'm not going to name names.
- 13:00Speaker 1: It's not like we've lost a couple of people that
- 13:04Speaker 1: I think We lost like heavy fucking hitters. We lost
- 13:11Speaker 1: our Lebron James Are Kobe Bryant?
- 13:15Speaker 6: You know people who who.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I ri ip. Yes, he was my first crush. I
- 13:21Speaker 1: was devastated when I found out he was married and
- 13:24Speaker 1: I was young. Oh, it was like an elementary school.
- 13:27Speaker 3: I had like nine of his jerseys just because she'd
- 13:29Speaker 3: be like, I love it, so then i'd it was.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It was an unhealthy obsession.
- 13:34Speaker 5: It wasn't good.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It wasn't good. When the nine year old's depressed that
- 13:38Speaker 1: Kobe Bryant has a wife. Someone needs to start it right.
- 13:41Speaker 6: Okay, I couldn't get out of bed in the morning.
- 13:44Speaker 3: He's a really fucking godfather. And then I understand why
- 13:47Speaker 3: he's croaked at sixty four.
- 13:50Speaker 5: We killed him with Oh my god, Easton.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just our please don't clip.
- 13:58Speaker 6: We're just question. We put a lot of stress on them.
- 14:05Speaker 1: We lost our heavy are our biggest, our biggest players.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Did you think the show was over that there was
- 14:11Speaker 4: a possibility or did you know? I don't know how
- 14:13Speaker 4: it went down, and they maybe they prefaced you and
- 14:15Speaker 4: being like, don't freak out, the show's not over.
- 14:17Speaker 3: But when that happened, did they put a lot of
- 14:19Speaker 3: pressure on like the You Guys, on like The Next
- 14:22Speaker 3: People to Be season nine, there.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Was there was a lot of pressure. There was a
- 14:27Speaker 1: lot of pressure, and I don't know if we put it.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I don't think we necessarily put it on ourselves. I
- 14:33Speaker 1: think we had a completely different production team because we
- 14:38Speaker 1: still hadn't picked up cameras and there were a lot
- 14:41Speaker 1: of other shows that had so people who were with
- 14:44Speaker 1: us from day one were suddenly working on other shows.
- 14:48Speaker 1: They had to take other shows our our show is
- 14:50Speaker 1: based on a restaurant. How do you film a show
- 14:53Speaker 1: based on a restaurant during COVID in Los Angeles when
- 14:57Speaker 1: they're not allowing you to open your restaurant. Yeah, it was.
- 15:02Speaker 1: It was intense.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It was intense.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Yeah, But also I cannot remember if I was stressed.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You have to remember I was pregnant. I was about
- 15:13Speaker 1: to give birth. I think that I was less concerned
- 15:17Speaker 1: than most people because my mind was elsewhere.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay, onto the next one. What parts of your
- 15:26Speaker 4: life do you wish vandr Pump Rules caught more of
- 15:28Speaker 4: Aside from oh as we know, you can't, I'm assuming
- 15:32Speaker 4: they mean like, couldn't show her nothing, nothing, really.
- 15:35Speaker 1: No, I can't think of anything that I wish that
- 15:37Speaker 1: they would show more. I think they I feel like
- 15:40Speaker 1: I'm showing my life and it's very much real because
- 15:46Speaker 1: the parts of my life that are more private are
- 15:51Speaker 1: not shown. And I think that, you know, I've shown
- 15:56Speaker 1: pretty much everything. You know. I've had had to confront
- 16:02Speaker 1: my demons and say, like, wow, I actually did lie
- 16:07Speaker 1: a lot about my life season five, I actually have
- 16:11Speaker 1: been lying about a lot of things that I didn't
- 16:14Speaker 1: really know that I was lying about that other people
- 16:17Speaker 1: saw clear as day. It was like, I've had to
- 16:20Speaker 1: go into the show. I've gotten sober on the show.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I've lost my dad on the show. I've had to
- 16:25Speaker 1: sit there and basically defend how I could talk about
- 16:29Speaker 1: being such a smart bitch while also being such a
- 16:31Speaker 1: dumb bitch at the same time. No, I can't think
- 16:35Speaker 1: of anything that I wish that they would cover more of.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Okay, I'm gonna come in and say this. I don't
- 16:40Speaker 4: know if I wish that they were there for this
- 16:42Speaker 4: or not. Probably not. In the end, this probably would
- 16:44Speaker 4: have been bad. That being said, from the moment we
- 16:48Speaker 4: were at the Americana Mall filming b Roll.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I wish they called this too.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I wish cameras we were just filming.
- 16:55Speaker 4: I was just filming la less shopping, like on my
- 16:56Speaker 4: cell phone. I wish that they caught you getting the
- 17:02Speaker 4: photo from Katie.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I think mm hm.
- 17:04Speaker 4: And from that moment too, I think you moving into
- 17:09Speaker 4: palazzo because that was wild and like being someone to
- 17:13Speaker 4: see you snap into like survival mode is what I'm
- 17:17Speaker 4: gonna call it, and just like this is what we're
- 17:20Speaker 4: gonna do. We're literally that night, meet me back at
- 17:24Speaker 4: the house, calling people, and then just like every day
- 17:29Speaker 4: finding out more and more and more and more, and
- 17:31Speaker 4: literally you keeping it together because you had to getting
- 17:34Speaker 4: out of that house. Like I think about it and
- 17:37Speaker 4: I'm like, holy shit, Like that is wild. I kind
- 17:40Speaker 4: of it wouldn't be in my personal opinion, I feel
- 17:43Speaker 4: like I could say this, it wouldn't be the right
- 17:45Speaker 4: tone for the show. There's a lot of darkness there
- 17:47Speaker 4: and a lot of but maybe like documentary, I don't
- 17:50Speaker 4: know something. Obviously it wasn't meant to be captured because
- 17:54Speaker 4: the universe, you know, it wasn't. But there was so much.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yeah, there was a lot and we are still doing
- 17:59Speaker 1: in reviews season nine for the show and there was
- 18:06Speaker 1: a part of Wow, no, you're right, and I think
- 18:12Speaker 1: that's one thing that I want to that time in
- 18:15Speaker 1: my life. Although it was only two weeks of me
- 18:18Speaker 1: being stuck right changed me as a person. There's very
- 18:24Speaker 1: few things in my life that have changed me in
- 18:27Speaker 1: that way. And it's kind of made me harsh where
- 18:32Speaker 1: when I hear certain people go through things, I want
- 18:37Speaker 1: to be softer and I feel like I have worked
- 18:40Speaker 1: on it. I want to be softer where I my
- 18:44Speaker 1: initial reaction is not tough in the fuck up like
- 18:48Speaker 1: fucking child's play, you know, because that's just my trauma.
- 18:53Speaker 1: That's not how I feel. It's that and I'm not comparing.
- 18:57Speaker 1: It's just it's made me.
- 18:59Speaker 6: It made me a.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Hard person for a long time, even though it's only
- 19:04Speaker 1: been two years and some change. But I remember going
- 19:10Speaker 1: into an interview and I was just so defeated but
- 19:14Speaker 1: had to be like a soldier, and the producer asked
- 19:21Speaker 1: me they knew what was going on. I will forever
- 19:25Speaker 1: love production for this because production says, do you remember
- 19:29Speaker 1: the scene of you and that guy at James and
- 19:34Speaker 1: Raquel's engagement party, You guys have a moment. You and
- 19:38Speaker 1: that guy have a moment about your wedding being canceled
- 19:41Speaker 1: and take what we know now out of it? Can
- 19:44Speaker 1: you relive that and talk about that like in real
- 19:48Speaker 1: time like we sometimes have to do? And I broke down.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I said, I physically cannot get myself to talk about that.
- 19:56Speaker 1: I cannot take myself to a place of feeling how
- 20:01Speaker 1: I thought I felt about him. And they didn't make
- 20:04Speaker 1: me do it. They cut out the whole scene.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Wow.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I was sobbing. I was like, I know that
- 20:11Speaker 1: you what you want me to do, and normally I
- 20:14Speaker 1: could do it, I can't do it.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:17Speaker 1: I was just broken and I will forever be thankful
- 20:23Speaker 1: that they were like, great, let's not fucking do it.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Then.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Wow, goosebumps everywhere.
- 20:27Speaker 4: I feel like I'm gonna cry, Okay, moving on, moving
- 20:30Speaker 4: on to something lighter. I'm assuming this means during your
- 20:35Speaker 4: drunk times. But are there scenes you don't remember filming?
- 20:38Speaker 4: And how do you feel watching them?
- 20:40Speaker 1: Back?
- 20:41Speaker 5: Season four through? Would you get sober?
- 20:44Speaker 6: You know what? I rarely?
- 20:47Speaker 1: I can't think of any time that I don't remember.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Maybe if you put a specific in front of me,
- 20:52Speaker 1: I could tell you, like, I don't remember that. What
- 20:55Speaker 1: I will say is when I said I got sober
- 20:58Speaker 1: and Lisa was like, You've always like, are you sure
- 21:03Speaker 1: you have a drinking problem? I go, Lisa, this is
- 21:06Speaker 1: the first conversation I've ever had with you, not under
- 21:08Speaker 1: the influence. I've always had something to drink.
- 21:12Speaker 6: Yeah, but all you would do is drink quota When.
- 21:16Speaker 1: You I'm like, that's vodka. Oh no, so and luckily
- 21:23Speaker 1: for me, yes, there are times that I'm like, things
- 21:25Speaker 1: are a little foggy, but I always got sick before
- 21:28Speaker 1: i'd black out.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Throw Yes, I have the tiger, which is actually so
- 21:33Speaker 4: good because yes, the people who black out usually don't
- 21:36Speaker 4: get sick.
- 21:36Speaker 2: That's why they black out. They're not getting rid of
- 21:39Speaker 2: the alcohol. Aka me.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and you just keep trudging, you just you you,
- 21:44Speaker 1: you don't black out.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Actually it's I can say from experience, thank god, oh,
- 21:48Speaker 4: never doing this again.
- 21:49Speaker 6: But brown out?
- 21:50Speaker 1: You brown out?
- 21:51Speaker 2: Brown what's brownout?
- 21:52Speaker 1: It's like you're a little hazy, like.
- 21:55Speaker 2: This is this is for my birthday party?
- 21:57Speaker 4: But you the only time throw up is after you're
- 22:00Speaker 4: already the point of blacking out, which is dangerous.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you're saying fall asleep on your back, yep, and
- 22:08Speaker 1: spat or whatever.
- 22:09Speaker 4: It's called yeah, so you don't watch anything back?
- 22:12Speaker 5: What is that?
- 22:13Speaker 1: It's like when you choke on you choke on your
- 22:16Speaker 1: own warning, you choke on your own. People do die
- 22:19Speaker 1: that way, and it is There are so many things
- 22:22Speaker 1: that I look back on and I'm like, drinking is
- 22:25Speaker 1: just scary, Like when they tell you to drink responsibly,
- 22:28Speaker 1: there's so much that goes into it, yeah, right, like
- 22:31Speaker 1: things that could just go wrong.
- 22:33Speaker 3: I think a lot of overdoses happened like that too
- 22:36Speaker 3: on the back.
- 22:37Speaker 2: And also just yeah relapses, you mean.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Or like when you overdose, Like they overdose and then
- 22:42Speaker 3: I don't know if they throw it, but I have
- 22:45Speaker 3: seen that.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I just adore the people who reach out and are
- 22:50Speaker 1: like proactive about wanting even though getting help is tremendously
- 22:54Speaker 1: hard and way above my pay grade to like try
- 22:58Speaker 1: and get someone sober, because ultimately they have to want it.
- 23:02Speaker 1: But there's been a lot of people over the course
- 23:05Speaker 1: of my sobriety that have reached out, and I find
- 23:08Speaker 1: it extremely important to let them know, like this is
- 23:11Speaker 1: a big deal, Like even though I'm a stranger to you,
- 23:15Speaker 1: like you're admitting something right now, and I'm gonna give
- 23:17Speaker 1: you the tools that helped me, and whatever they choose
- 23:19Speaker 1: to do with them is on them. But just that
- 23:22Speaker 1: initial That's why the first step whenever I go to
- 23:24Speaker 1: a meeting and we talk about, like what's the most
- 23:26Speaker 1: important step to you, which one resonates with you the most?
- 23:29Speaker 1: For me, it's always the first one. Yeah, admitting like
- 23:33Speaker 1: we got we gotta work on something. We're an alcoholic,
- 23:37Speaker 1: Yeah we sure are not mean first step admitting the problem,
- 23:41Speaker 1: admitting hard.
- 23:44Speaker 4: I've seen this asked a couple of times, which is
- 23:45Speaker 4: so funny, but I'm gonna ask it.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Are you and Sheena actually friends? Slash? Do you even
- 23:50Speaker 2: like her? Seems like you.
- 23:52Speaker 4: Hang out because of the kids? The fuck, which is
- 23:56Speaker 4: like I know you touched on this one. No, this
- 24:00Speaker 4: a couple of weeks ago.
- 24:00Speaker 6: The should I love?
- 24:02Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 24:03Speaker 6: Because it's they you you.
- 24:07Speaker 1: It's questions like this where you go, Okay, this is
- 24:10Speaker 1: I watch social media and I watch fifteen weeks of
- 24:13Speaker 1: a television show. Yes, Sheena is my actual homie.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Let me also put it this way. You don't have
- 24:19Speaker 3: your child all the time, and we still go over
- 24:22Speaker 3: to Sina's.
- 24:23Speaker 2: There you go.
- 24:23Speaker 1: The best way to put it, Yeah, I don't have
- 24:24Speaker 1: my kid one hundred percent of the time, and.
- 24:27Speaker 5: I still go and kick.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Sheena's mom came over to my house today. Yeah, okay,
- 24:32Speaker 1: like the moms are friends. Eastern texts with Justice and Courtney. Yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 1: that's the boyfriend in sister. It's a family dynamic. I
- 24:48Speaker 1: talked to Sena every single day. Sheena has more energy
- 24:53Speaker 1: than the fucking energizer bunny.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I'm not it's crazy, it's insane.
- 24:57Speaker 1: She's a human red bull. She's a human monster energy drink. Okay,
- 25:03Speaker 1: it is wild. So if you say it seems like
- 25:06Speaker 1: you guys are only friends because of the kids, that's
- 25:09Speaker 1: kind of my speed. Sheenah knows that, right, Okay, Sheina knows.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I'm the daytime friend. Babe. You want to go to lunch,
- 25:17Speaker 1: you wanna get some breakfast, I'm your girl. Anything past
- 25:22Speaker 1: making me go to dinner at six thirty. You're tripping now,
- 25:25Speaker 1: I'm not going.
- 25:26Speaker 5: We'll hit breakfast.
- 25:27Speaker 6: So she shall get in dinner.
- 25:29Speaker 1: She shall, Yeah, she will. She shall do dinner with
- 25:31Speaker 1: me at six and then say that she's going to
- 25:34Speaker 1: another dinner. I like a regular normal person hour and
- 25:37Speaker 1: not the early special eight or nine or something. Yes,
- 25:40Speaker 1: she always it's back to back dinners. She'll go to
- 25:42Speaker 1: Chili's with me and then go to like Boulevards steak
- 25:44Speaker 1: with her friends who are normal.
- 25:46Speaker 2: That is wild.
- 25:47Speaker 4: And she also has she seems to have a lot
- 25:49Speaker 4: of friends. Not that like she has more friends than you,
- 25:52Speaker 4: but she seems very light. She's got hell more friends
- 25:56Speaker 4: than I'm just saying, you know, those friends have so
- 25:58Speaker 4: many friends, and I'm like, how do you keep up
- 25:59Speaker 4: with them?
- 26:00Speaker 2: Well, now you know, Shina just she does actually keep.
- 26:02Speaker 5: Up with them all She's busy all day.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I could never.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Shina gives a lot of shits. And let me tell
- 26:10Speaker 1: you something, that bitch. When my life had fallen apart
- 26:14Speaker 1: and I was getting used to the dynamic of sharing
- 26:16Speaker 1: my child on big holidays like Christmas, okay, and I
- 26:22Speaker 1: would be sitting in that very thankful for the apartment.
- 26:25Speaker 1: I was in very thankful sitting in that apartment waiting
- 26:28Speaker 1: for my kid to come back, hoping that I could
- 26:31Speaker 1: make the holiday feel like a fucking holiday with me,
- 26:35Speaker 1: my mom and my daughter because I would have to
- 26:37Speaker 1: get ocean either in the morning or at nighttime. And
- 26:42Speaker 1: Sheina says to me, why don't you come to Palm Springs.
- 26:46Speaker 1: You have her the rest of the weekend, whatever it was,
- 26:48Speaker 1: welcomed me and my family with open arms. She's the
- 26:52Speaker 1: one person that made me feel like my favorite holiday,
- 26:57Speaker 1: Christmas felt like Christmas again, where I felt warm and excited.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Okay, the bitch will forever.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Be my homie because I've had a lot of friends
- 27:07Speaker 1: in LA who have never invited me and my mom
- 27:10Speaker 1: to go and do things and make me feel like
- 27:12Speaker 1: the holiday is the fucking holiday. Okay.
- 27:15Speaker 6: They took me in on.
- 27:16Speaker 1: They include my family for Thanksgiving, Halloween, Fourth of July, Christmas.
- 27:23Speaker 1: They're my family. So anyone who wants to come in
- 27:25Speaker 1: here and talk about why you don't like me, why
- 27:28Speaker 1: you don't like Sina, you don't get the friendship.
- 27:30Speaker 6: But what about this fuck off hip?
- 27:33Speaker 3: Okay me and she's text she's taken me to the
- 27:36Speaker 3: NFL like the red Zone next year and stuff like
- 27:38Speaker 3: she Yeah, It's like I don't even not through her,
- 27:41Speaker 3: thank you.
- 27:41Speaker 2: It's just family, like a very good family they are.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah, And I will always have a soft spot in
- 27:47Speaker 1: my heart for all of them and always handled the
- 27:50Speaker 1: friendship with kid gloves because it means a lot to
- 27:54Speaker 1: me and I will never forget when they invited my
- 27:57Speaker 1: family for Christmas.
- 28:00Speaker 5: I'm glad that they did. I know, thank you for
- 28:04Speaker 5: taking care of my sister during that time.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Sheesha and fam Brock, Yeah they're really great.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Summer Me and Lisa do I walk the dogs over there,
- 28:14Speaker 3: just us, no kids, nothing, just to see Brock, see
- 28:17Speaker 3: how they were doing.
- 28:18Speaker 4: How lucky you are too to have daughters like who
- 28:21Speaker 4: are friends?
- 28:22Speaker 5: Yes? Yeah, that's kind of the cherry on top of it.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah, so so beautiful.
- 28:28Speaker 6: Okay, we can do one more.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Okay, we're ending on quite now. This this is indirectly
- 28:37Speaker 4: related to vander Pumper Roules. O, boy, is this something
- 28:40Speaker 4: the Watch What Happens Live?
- 28:42Speaker 2: Episode?
- 28:42Speaker 4: Unless this is no with you and James when Andy
- 28:47Speaker 4: was annoyed with you too, That's all it says. So
- 28:49Speaker 4: I'm assuming they mean like deep dive. I have said
- 28:53Speaker 4: from the beginning, I want you and James back on
- 28:56Speaker 4: Watch What Happens Live.
- 28:56Speaker 2: I don't seem yourself.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I don't think we've ever been back together, That's what
- 28:59Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Were you drinking that time?
- 29:04Speaker 6: I think I ever seen Watch? I couldn't watch.
- 29:08Speaker 4: I can't find it. I look for it everywhere anyone
- 29:13Speaker 4: it was really was Andy actually mad mad? Yeah, he
- 29:19Speaker 4: was furious.
- 29:20Speaker 6: He it made like national news the next day.
- 29:25Speaker 2: For anyone who doesn't know, can you give us a
- 29:26Speaker 2: quick rundown?
- 29:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I have no idea.
- 29:29Speaker 1: James and I were asked to do watch Robins Live together.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I don't know if it was his first time. I
- 29:33Speaker 1: think it was. It was most certainly mine. Season four.
- 29:37Speaker 1: We got wasted and all we did was cuss and
- 29:42Speaker 1: act a damn fool. I sang apparently here we go.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I blacked out, I did I I don't remember singing.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I absolutely don't remember singing. Oh my god, it's so
- 29:53Speaker 1: it's mortified a.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Live TELEVISI live saying guys send me this club.
- 30:02Speaker 5: No fuck you for the national anthem. No.
- 30:06Speaker 1: I think I thought I killed it because they killed
- 30:10Speaker 1: I did not kill it.
- 30:11Speaker 6: There are pictures of me.
- 30:12Speaker 1: We went to the club after because we thought we
- 30:13Speaker 1: crushed it so hard we thought we were It was
- 30:17Speaker 1: a train wreck, to the point where Andy publicly in
- 30:22Speaker 1: massive publications, said they are disgusting. I will never have
- 30:27Speaker 1: them back on watch What Happens Live ever again.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Was it because you were just so drunk, or you
- 30:33Speaker 4: were swearing, or you were like we.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Wouldn't stop cussing. And it's a thirty minute show and
- 30:37Speaker 1: you have to bleep the three or five seconds before,
- 30:41Speaker 1: So basically the whole episode was silent.
- 30:44Speaker 2: People are And did he say, like, you gotta stop?
- 30:47Speaker 1: He said it multiple times and then got like very annoyed.
- 30:50Speaker 1: He goes the cursing, I'm not joking. Stop He got
- 30:55Speaker 1: very annoyed. But I was too drunk to notice any
- 30:58Speaker 1: type of social cue.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Okay, wait, because I've been on the watch what happens?
- 31:02Speaker 4: I've set and there are breaks?
- 31:04Speaker 2: Did he say did he give you guys a remembers?
- 31:07Speaker 6: Are you joking?
- 31:09Speaker 5: No? No? No?
- 31:09Speaker 6: The breaks?
- 31:10Speaker 1: Where could I get another? I get another shot?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Surely they cut you off.
- 31:15Speaker 6: I wouldn't.
- 31:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't know.
- 31:17Speaker 5: I don't remember much and if you tried to cut
- 31:19Speaker 5: off drunk Lauren.
- 31:21Speaker 6: But I was a mess.
- 31:22Speaker 1: The next day I called my dad and he was like,
- 31:26Speaker 1: he didn't watch it, but I was like, Dad, it
- 31:27Speaker 1: was really bad. And he just said, tomorrow someone more
- 31:30Speaker 1: famous than you is the fuck up and no one's
- 31:33Speaker 1: gonna remember this.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Can we also say? Which I love Andy?
- 31:37Speaker 4: But then he had a moment with Anderson Cooper on
- 31:39Speaker 4: TV where he was a little too drunky right on
- 31:43Speaker 4: the during New Year but they invited him back because
- 31:46Speaker 4: everyone it was like it was so.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Entertaining, and well, it's like, I love Anderson Cooper, but
- 31:50Speaker 1: who wants to watch the CNN news anchor on like
- 31:52Speaker 1: the night where everyone's wasted. You got to have like
- 31:56Speaker 1: the proper I will say this, I love seeing Andy
- 31:59Speaker 1: on the ball dropping thing for New Year's because it's
- 32:03Speaker 1: for the first time ever and the only time where
- 32:06Speaker 1: I look at Antie and I go see, you are
- 32:09Speaker 1: one of us.
- 32:10Speaker 6: Messy too.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Hilarious and Andy and Anderson it needed to be that
- 32:16Speaker 4: duo because it was Anderson's reactions that made it even funnier.
- 32:20Speaker 1: And I love when Andy goes on his tangents about
- 32:23Speaker 1: like the governor, the mayor of New York and and
- 32:26Speaker 1: calm donn.
- 32:27Speaker 6: He's like, no, I'm gonna say it, no another wind
- 32:36Speaker 6: him up? Yes, so good, No, that's what happened.
- 32:41Speaker 1: But by the way, can I tell you this before
- 32:43Speaker 1: we sign off, because we're we got to wrap it up.
- 32:45Speaker 1: My makeup on Watch Rabinside the first time ever, I
- 32:49Speaker 1: wore like a green dress.
- 32:50Speaker 6: My makeup looked fabulous.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Okay, that's why I hired that same person to do
- 32:56Speaker 1: my makeup for the season four union, and he talked
- 33:01Speaker 1: about how he had learned new tricks. And I was
- 33:05Speaker 1: in that Olympic apartment that Stassy lived in. I wasn't
- 33:08Speaker 1: in front of a mirror, and it was so early
- 33:13Speaker 1: that there wasn't any natural sunlight coming through yet because
- 33:16Speaker 1: you have to get there at.
- 33:17Speaker 6: The crack of dawn.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Did anyone see your makeup and go oh that's oh?
- 33:22Speaker 1: Everyone looked at it and was like, who did your makeup?
- 33:25Speaker 1: And I was mortified, but like, what are you gonna do?
- 33:28Speaker 5: Oh?
- 33:28Speaker 2: So you know, going in like this doesn't look great?
- 33:31Speaker 5: Oh girls.
- 33:32Speaker 6: The moment I saw myself, I was like, oh fuck fuck.
- 33:35Speaker 4: If that were today, you would have washed your face
- 33:37Speaker 4: and just readowone it yourself.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Yeah, But back then I had a breakout. I couldn't
- 33:41Speaker 1: I couldn't wash all that off and cover it back
- 33:43Speaker 1: up in a proper amount of time. No, I was
- 33:45Speaker 1: so insecure. Okay, I was constantly battling like cystic acne.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Right the hormonal or was okay?
- 33:54Speaker 1: Okay? Well, anyway that it was intense, but that was
- 33:58Speaker 1: the same makeup artist. And by the way, it happened again.
- 34:01Speaker 1: It happened again at the premiere of Gotti. I don't
- 34:04Speaker 1: know if you guys know Gotti. It's like one of
- 34:06Speaker 1: the only movies to get zero on Rotten Tomatoes.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Oh boy.
- 34:10Speaker 1: But I went to the premiere in New York and
- 34:12Speaker 1: I gave him another chance, and I had to wash
- 34:16Speaker 1: it off. If you look at me the third I
- 34:17Speaker 1: was like third time, like we got to call it.
- 34:20Speaker 1: We got all three strikes, you're out. But I had
- 34:23Speaker 1: to wash it all off. And I had ten minutes
- 34:26Speaker 1: until I had to be to the place wash it
- 34:28Speaker 1: all off. I look like I have no makeup on
- 34:30Speaker 1: at the gaudy premiere, Like I just went and I
- 34:32Speaker 1: was drinking then too, so like a little bloated, a
- 34:34Speaker 1: little foggy behind the eyes.
- 34:35Speaker 6: But it's okay.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Look like the movies.
- 34:39Speaker 1: What I did, I was reflecting what Rotten Tomatoes used
- 34:43Speaker 1: to do. Like that's just about the rating, human form
- 34:47Speaker 1: of the rating. You guys, thank you for listening to
- 34:52Speaker 1: another VPR driven episode of The Bonus Give them all
- 34:57Speaker 1: a podcast. I will catch you guys,
