- 0:00Welcome to the One Small Change. I am so thrilled as always, that
- 0:04you are spending time with me this week to embark on this journey
- 0:08of exploration, transformation. I'm your host, Yvonne McCoy,
- 0:11and I have almost 30 years of entrepreneurial experience and I
- 0:15have a particular passion for discovering growth through the power
- 0:19of seemingly small change. Every week I try
- 0:23to bring you somebody interesting and who's got insight to help you grow
- 0:26your business. And they're going to share with you how a
- 0:30smaller, unexpected or indecis, you know,
- 0:33insignificant decision sparked remarkable
- 0:37transformation and growth in either their personal or
- 0:41professional life. And this week I want you to meet
- 0:44the dynamic Carolyn Cooper. Carolyn, thank you so
- 0:48much for spending time with us this week. This woman is
- 0:51amazing. She is a ball of fire. So Carolyn, tell
- 0:55us what you do and
- 0:59what happened to make you do what you do. Well,
- 1:02well, well, it's, I, I'm in the
- 1:05arena the same as you, Yvonne, of over three
- 1:09decades now. I don't go to four, but it's over three, so.
- 1:13And thank you for bringing me on your podcast. I respect
- 1:17and admire and appreciate the
- 1:20opportunity. So what I do
- 1:24truly is I support eager
- 1:27entrepreneurs and executives
- 1:31to realize their own human potential.
- 1:36I support them through my aim high
- 1:40six step system of
- 1:43transformation. And they become
- 1:48incredibly conscious of what it is
- 1:52that they do on a daily basis. And
- 1:56also they connect with a very, very
- 1:59powerful truth on what is in their business
- 2:04and also what can be in reaching that
- 2:07infinite potential. I also
- 2:12have a very unique principle and
- 2:16process I take them through called thinking
- 2:19above the line. And
- 2:23it is very transformational for
- 2:27entrepreneurs as well as executives to
- 2:31realize that this
- 2:34leadership role that we are in can
- 2:38be a love inspired
- 2:41leadership. As we build our
- 2:44organizations and build our business, we can
- 2:48live from this place of meaning and purpose
- 2:52and also passion to grow,
- 2:56evolve and expand our business.
- 3:01All right, Carol, you have said a lot and
- 3:05I think I got bits and pieces of it, but
- 3:09a lot of the people that are listening are solopreneurs. And so
- 3:13leadership is not something that is, you know, high on their list.
- 3:17Survival, getting clients and that kind of stuff.
- 3:20So tell me how that, what that looks like for them.
- 3:26Great, great question. Or how it, how you would. Well, first of all, tell me
- 3:29how you, what happened that, you know, what was the thing that made you go
- 3:33into what you do? Let's start with that. Well,
- 3:37it's been a life mission
- 3:42to support people, to
- 3:45look at fear's demise,
- 3:50to allow freedom to rise, to be successful.
- 3:53And I have, the way I look at life is it's a
- 3:57big experiment. So is business. And
- 4:01I have discovered these specific
- 4:05protocols and practices that
- 4:09support us to be more courageous.
- 4:14I always talk about this key and it
- 4:17is the key of courage. It is the key
- 4:21that will open the door of fear, of
- 4:25holding myself back from being successful in my
- 4:29business. It's taking this key of courage, putting it into the
- 4:33lock, turning it all the way in order
- 4:36to receive this
- 4:39opportunity of abundance and
- 4:43expansion in our business. So the main thing that
- 4:47entrepreneurs do is get in their own way.
- 4:51We all know it. And the first step
- 4:55of my aim high system is telling
- 4:59yourself the truth. So what
- 5:03is working? What isn't working? Where do
- 5:06I have my strengths, my gifts, my talents and
- 5:10my expertise that I can expand
- 5:14and evolve? And where do I
- 5:18have my limitations? Where are my weaknesses?
- 5:23That is where I need to either invest in
- 5:27hiring someone in that area of expertise,
- 5:31release that and let it go to lead myself
- 5:34forward so I can focus directly
- 5:38on my zone of genius, what I love to
- 5:42do. And it does take a risk.
- 5:46And it is courageous to invest in your business.
- 5:50And you know, for a lot of entrepreneurs,
- 5:55they're struggling like you said, they're surviving and they want to
- 5:58thrive. I suggest that you need to create
- 6:02your own dream team
- 6:06and that is a group of individuals around you.
- 6:10And this is what I did when I started my business
- 6:14well over 30 years ago anyway, I'm not going to say
- 6:18the exact number. I'm just not, you know, and I thought
- 6:22to myself, well, I need to surround myself with people
- 6:26who are wise and dedicated and committed
- 6:29in those areas that I do not have that expertise
- 6:33and wisdom. Maybe it's surrounding yourself with people that are great at
- 6:37sales. Maybe it's marketing, maybe you
- 6:41know, you know how to bring in the clients. But you, you have
- 6:44operations that is incredibly weak. You're
- 6:48disorganized. So it's a matter of
- 6:52I think being bold, stepping up,
- 6:55being courageous. To invite these people into your
- 6:59circle of influence and create their
- 7:03relationship to be be on your dream team.
- 7:08I mean when I hired my virtual
- 7:11assistant five years ago, I
- 7:14created a love it list.
- 7:19So I wrote down everything that I was in flow that I enjoyed to do
- 7:23that I made the biggest difference in right here, right now. I love to
- 7:26do this Iman. So that was on my list. So.
- 7:30And I created this intentional specific list
- 7:34that, that fueled me, that fed me, that inspired me in the
- 7:38areas of my own expertise. On the right
- 7:42hand side of the page, so love it list on the left, draw a line.
- 7:47On the right hand side, I Wrote down everything
- 7:50that drained me, everything that I'd go down a rabbit
- 7:54hole. Canva was my rabbit hole. I would spend hours
- 7:57creatively creating these
- 8:01graphics, and they were awful. Honestly, I'd spend hours
- 8:05and I'd waste my time and waste my energy.
- 8:09So I did that over about a two month period.
- 8:14The list screw. And then I made a decision.
- 8:18I became decided, which is the line.
- 8:22I became decided that I was going to invest in support.
- 8:27I think the world works in
- 8:31miraculous, magical ways. One
- 8:34of the events that we put on there was a little
- 8:39young woman on there, Marielle. And I said, who are you?
- 8:44She said, I'm a virtual assistant from the Philippines.
- 8:48I said, well, I've been waiting for you.
- 8:52Let's talk. So she's been working with me ever since.
- 8:57Let me do this. Because you have hit on so many things that I want
- 9:00to make sure that people take this away. So one
- 9:04of the things that you said that made a huge difference for me
- 9:09was the idea that our business is an experiment and
- 9:12that there's a risk. Right. I
- 9:16grew up one. I mean, I think, you know, for those of us of a
- 9:20certain age, we kind of grew up educated to work a
- 9:23job a 9 to 5. And so we're stepping into something
- 9:27that's totally different than what we were actually educated to do.
- 9:31And, you know, the idea was that you didn't want to fail. You know,
- 9:35I mean, there. I realize now that there were
- 9:39things that I didn't even attempt to do because I thought I might
- 9:42fail. I mean, and the story that I tell all the time is when I
- 9:45was running in junior high school for president of the student council, my mom was
- 9:49like, I don't want you to do this. And I'm like, why? And she said,
- 9:52because you might lose. I said, mom, there are five of
- 9:56us. There's an 80% chance I'm gonna lose. You
- 10:00know, I did win, but, you know, but I think that
- 10:03mentality is so much better than kind of like the binary
- 10:07like you succeed or you fail. It's like you do it,
- 10:10you see what works. You make a little tweak, you do a little something, you
- 10:14know, and you, you get better as you go along, right? And
- 10:18I think that mindset is so freeing
- 10:22that you can. You can take on a certain amount of risk. The other
- 10:26one has to do with,
- 10:30I think this is like a woman's thing. I don't know about guys
- 10:34or men. And that is, you know, being brought up
- 10:37during that time of I am woman, hear me roar. I can do everything
- 10:41all the time, which has got to be the worst
- 10:45miss Ever, ever, ever, ever.
- 10:49And the whole concept of asking for help is like, what is wrong with
- 10:53me that I can't? You know. And so I would say to you
- 10:57it is a sign of wisdom if you can ask for help.
- 11:01Absolutely. Because you are great at everything. I mean
- 11:04that's just a reality. I think the other
- 11:08thing is when I was coaching executives is they would always
- 11:12say to the say to me, I want to clone myself. And
- 11:15I would be like, no, because what that means is
- 11:19you have, everything is extra strong and extra weak. You want
- 11:23somebody who complements you so that when you, when
- 11:27you're weaving together the different skills, you actually get
- 11:30a good foundation. And I think that's something that
- 11:34we're not really taught to do. And I can't
- 11:38tell you how many women I have heard say I'm not going to do
- 11:42anymore until I learn to do this. And I'm like, why
- 11:45exactly? You have to have a general understanding of, you know, like somebody told
- 11:49me they were going to go back to school for accounting and I'm like, why?
- 11:53You do need to understand some accounting principles, but hire a
- 11:57bookkeeper, hire an accountant, right? And
- 12:00that, that money that you're spending is going to
- 12:04multiply your time and the money that you can make
- 12:08because you're spending it on what only you can do. So I just,
- 12:12those three things that I just think are so
- 12:15incredibly important. I agree that
- 12:19people miss and if you talk about
- 12:22leadership a little bit, that would be great as well.
- 12:26Okay, so a part of
- 12:30making the decision that you are a love
- 12:33inspired leader, whether you're an eager entrepreneur or
- 12:37other roles and responsibilities in the corporate world,
- 12:41it is the same. And you know, our
- 12:45responsibility, I believe is to be
- 12:48accountable for everything. That's every
- 12:52single result that we create in our life
- 12:56and our business. So taking on that level
- 13:00of responsibility, accountability
- 13:04means that there are going to be things
- 13:08that when we take that deep look in the mirror that we need to change.
- 13:13It is taking on that ownership. And
- 13:18you know, it, it branches out into what you just said, asking
- 13:22for help in those areas that you know, you have
- 13:25limitations. There's also another level of
- 13:29accountability in our ability to
- 13:33communicate. So
- 13:37I spent decades teaching communication
- 13:41corporately. And if there's one thing that people
- 13:45don't always understand is their ability
- 13:48to make an impact on those people that they
- 13:52are leading, whether it be clients or whether
- 13:56it be teams that you are guiding
- 14:01on that journey of success.
- 14:05And you know, there's this Self reflection
- 14:08that we need to look at within our own
- 14:12communication on our effectiveness
- 14:16and to be open to receive
- 14:19feedback and truth in that
- 14:23arena is a really powerful decision
- 14:27to make and to ask those
- 14:32meaningful open ended questions that
- 14:36need to be asked to discover
- 14:39the perception of how
- 14:43your information is coming across and landing
- 14:47and whether it truly is making a difference.
- 14:51As a leader. The thing that to me
- 14:55is interesting is that I went
- 14:58through a long period of time where
- 15:02I really felt that a good leader treated everybody the same,
- 15:07which is not true.
- 15:12I think the best you can do is be
- 15:15honest. And so I find that the One Minute
- 15:19Manager to me was like one of the best classic
- 15:23books. When you do it right, I'm going to tell you what I expect. When
- 15:27you do it right, I'm going to tell you. And when you do it wrong,
- 15:29I'm going to tell you. And you set that, you tell people that
- 15:33ahead of time so that you've set the, you know, and,
- 15:37and that way you can, you know, and you can still do that
- 15:41from a place of leadership but also
- 15:45open ended questions and discovery. It's like if
- 15:48you're doing something wrong and I, you know, I go, this is not what
- 15:52I expected. Tell me what you thought was, you know, and you have a
- 15:56discussion, then you can, then you can like massage it
- 16:00and come up with the right way. And you know, the other thing for me
- 16:03was I would never, my thing was I
- 16:07never felt like I would. I will never ask you to do
- 16:11anything that I'm not willing to do myself. So if
- 16:14I'm asking you to, you know, spend some extra time or put in some
- 16:18extra effort, I should be there as well.
- 16:22That to me was, was really important and, and, and
- 16:26you know, understanding that people come from totally different
- 16:29communication styles and stuff. I remember one time I was really
- 16:33angry with somebody and after I calmed down
- 16:37I went back and I said, I want to apologize to you that
- 16:41I was so abrupt, I was so angry, I
- 16:44was so rude. And they looked at me and she went, what?
- 16:48That was your angry?
- 16:52I love it, I love it because, because what we
- 16:56think it isn't necessarily their person. I mean,
- 16:59and somebody else, somebody else could have been totally crushed.
- 17:03Yes. You know, I mean, but I was like,
- 17:07I, I was like so embarrassed because I thought I had been really awful. And
- 17:10she goes, that's what you call, you know, that's what you call
- 17:14angry. But I think, you know, the other thing is that people
- 17:20when they communicate sometimes
- 17:23communicate the wrong thing unexpectedly.
- 17:27And an example of that is you
- 17:31want to do something. But, you know, you pretty much are
- 17:35already what, you already know what you're going to do, but you still say to
- 17:38people, tell me what you think. That's
- 17:42really, that's really demoralizing
- 17:45because if you just go off and do what you're going to do anyway. So,
- 17:49you know, the way I used to do it would be this is the way
- 17:52this is going to work. If something comes down from corporate and we have
- 17:56to do it this way, I let you complain and vent for
- 17:59five minutes and then we figure out how to do it. You know, like if
- 18:03corporate came back down and said you have to cut
- 18:06labor costs in this category and I don't get a choice,
- 18:10then you don't get a choice. You know, it is what it is.
- 18:14But if they say you just have to cut it, you know, 10%
- 18:17overall, I don't care how you do it. I can, you know, as
- 18:21long as I get the results. You know, one person would do it here, somebody
- 18:25else would do it there. And that to me is being honest and
- 18:28giving you agency when it's available.
- 18:32Well, it's so true and it's being authentic
- 18:37and it's just being genuinely real with
- 18:41the truth of the situation. I mean,
- 18:45how we get the most productivity out
- 18:49of ourselves and other people is
- 18:53just functioning from that place
- 18:56of authenticity, presence and just being real.
- 19:00Because there's so much, I think as I'm going to go
- 19:04back to the entrepreneur's position here, right?
- 19:08So is so much within our mind and within our
- 19:12thoughts that we get in our own way
- 19:16that we take our ourselves off the track
- 19:19of being disciplined, of following through, of contacting
- 19:23that person, with following up, with inviting the business,
- 19:27with showing up in a way that
- 19:31is going to grow our business and expand our business.
- 19:35We get lost in distracting ourselves
- 19:39with things that don't matter.
- 19:43It's like you said, well, I gotta learn accounting. And
- 19:46you're saying, well, why would you do that?
- 19:51I mean, there's this place where within entrepreneurs, this is my dream
- 19:54of all entrepreneurs, if you want to know, is to be
- 19:58all in, to be 100%
- 20:02committed and know that this is your
- 20:05opportunity to experience freedom in your life and
- 20:09your business. That you know, there
- 20:13is this opportunity to personally grow,
- 20:16professionally grow and surround yourself with
- 20:19fabulous people that you can learn from,
- 20:24be guided by and grow.
- 20:27Or you can stay in self doubt,
- 20:32holding yourself back, denying what's most important
- 20:36and what I call thinking and living
- 20:40below the line. And that is a dangerous place to be.
- 20:44I mean, if your mortgage, if
- 20:48You've mortgaged your, you know, your house for your business.
- 20:52If your significant other is nagging you, when are
- 20:56you going to make money? When is this actually going to make money?
- 21:00I mean, that, you know, that is a state of
- 21:04fear that does manifest anything.
- 21:08You are blocking the flow of success by
- 21:12staying in that victim position of fear,
- 21:15doubt, judgment, criticism. It's
- 21:19only when we become decided and get courageous
- 21:23and take those risks and really
- 21:26expand out of this place of being comfortable
- 21:31that we have to get comfortable
- 21:34with being uncomfortable as an
- 21:38entrepreneur. We just do. And, you know,
- 21:41if you've got big dreams, go after it,
- 21:45you know, I mean, when you do, this is what's happening in
- 21:49my business right now. You get given these gifts and these incredible
- 21:53opportunities to be in that lane of
- 21:56exactly where you want to be. I think
- 22:00the. The other thing that, to me is really amazing
- 22:04is
- 22:08when you are. When you are afraid, it's like you're.
- 22:12You're tight, tightly wound, and you're,
- 22:16you know, and it reminds me of. This sounds terrible. If
- 22:19you've ever been in the city and you see stray dogs and you go towards
- 22:23them, they. They're like, well, they cower. They're
- 22:27skittish, right? But if you're relaxed
- 22:31and someone comes towards you,
- 22:35you're in a position that you can accept. And that was really
- 22:38hard for me because I started out in
- 22:42my life kind of from the perspective of, oh, God, please don't talk to
- 22:46me. What do you want from me? What do I have to do? Do you
- 22:49know? And so when I got into a place where people were
- 22:53being incredibly generous to me,
- 22:57it was like something so different than I've ever experienced.
- 23:01And it just really, you know, it was like, unconditional,
- 23:05you know, And I had never really experienced that before.
- 23:09And so, you know, one of my. One of my first people that.
- 23:13Who was a fairly big name, who was an affiliate that I asked to be
- 23:17an affiliate, I had had a bad business experience with somebody,
- 23:20and I said something to him like, well, if we do something
- 23:24together, how will we know who
- 23:28the client is? I don't want you to feel like, you know, I'm stepping on
- 23:32your toes or whatever. You know, I'm like, really? And he. He was
- 23:35really quiet, and I was like, oh, my God, I just put my
- 23:39foot in my mouth. He's gonna, like, not want to work with me, you know,
- 23:43because I'm this terrible person or, you know, and he said,
- 23:47this is what I know. It is never
- 23:50our decision where the client wants to go, because
- 23:54we Want the best for the client, the client makes that
- 23:58decision. And the other thing I will say is
- 24:02that the more secure and the more abundant the person you're working
- 24:06with, the less they just get bent out of shape about
- 24:09little things. And I was like, oh, my God, this
- 24:13is, you know, and I went. When I, when my
- 24:17business was absolutely at the bottom, I had
- 24:21the most amazing people who generously gave
- 24:24me opportunities and helped me, and, and it
- 24:28was totally different than I would. I had grown up
- 24:33beautiful. And so I think that's the other part, is
- 24:37that when you are not trying to do everything and
- 24:41pretend that you can do everything well, and you are basically honest
- 24:44and say, I need help, you do this really well. Can you give me some
- 24:48ideas? Can you give me, you know, can, you know, whatever it
- 24:52happens to be right? And
- 24:55it's not necessarily, it's not necessarily, you give me something, I'll
- 24:59give you something else, you know, and, you know,
- 25:03I, I look at it more as, you know, play it forward.
- 25:07Somebody does something nice for me, and I try to play it forward when
- 25:11the situation comes up again. So
- 25:15you, you said one other thing that I think is funny is
- 25:18you said my secret goal or the, the thing,
- 25:22right? Yeah, I have been saying this too
- 25:25lately. And, and my secret goal
- 25:29is that the people, women that I work with step into their CEO
- 25:33mojo and I'm like, why do I keep this a secret? We
- 25:36shouldn't keep this a secret. We should say it, you know,
- 25:41stand. On the rooftops and give her absolutely agree.
- 25:45And, you know, here's the other piece I want to weave into what you said.
- 25:49I love what every word that you said there, it's this. We
- 25:53are never, ever, ever meant to do this
- 25:56alone, ever. We are not yet.
- 26:00There's so many entrepreneurs suffering, feeling
- 26:04that they are all alone on this
- 26:08journey to success. And I, I just want the audience to
- 26:12realize, give yourself permission
- 26:16to invite people
- 26:20to connect with you. You be the one.
- 26:24You be the one that follows up. You be the
- 26:27one that sets up that zoom chat.
- 26:31You be the one that's proactive. Watch
- 26:35your world change, because we're
- 26:39meant to come together because it's way,
- 26:43way better. And, you know,
- 26:47I just think that the invitation for your audience.
- 26:51There's many messages of truth happening here in this
- 26:54conversation. And community is so important
- 26:58too. I mean, you know, not just the one on
- 27:01one connections, but, you know, I, I felt like I had to
- 27:05be ready to join a community. And in reality,
- 27:09that's one of the first things that you can do. It will save you so
- 27:12much time and energy. It will grow your business and
- 27:16grow you just by connection and listening to other
- 27:19people. And, and the funny part is when you're new,
- 27:25you see things differently than people who've been doing the same thing for a long
- 27:28time and you actually have something to add. You know, you
- 27:32don't have to go in and say, I'm new, I have nothing. You do. You
- 27:36have your perspective and it is an amazing situation to
- 27:39be in. Anyway, we're gonna run
- 27:43out of time, so tell us just real
- 27:47fast three things that you think people could use right away. And tell us about
- 27:51your gift. Okay. Well, my gift is
- 27:54a gift that I created. I do
- 27:58a journal in the morning and it starts with dearest God, and then
- 28:01it's my download of wisdom that comes from my
- 28:05internal voice. Then I got challenged by one of my
- 28:09clients to do selfie videos
- 28:13of those wise principles
- 28:17to get over those places that we get stuck.
- 28:21So what I've created is the 21 day
- 28:25above the line living. And it's your
- 28:29opportunity to get this dropped into your email box.
- 28:33It's a audio recording. You don't get to see me wearing my
- 28:37dad's housecoat in my pajamas when I recorded at
- 28:405:30am in the morning after I have my
- 28:44toast and Nespresso. But it's. It's
- 28:48a very powerful journey to go on of
- 28:51clarity, truth. And I weave in
- 28:55my six step aim High system
- 28:59principles in each recording
- 29:03as well as the reflection piece in there you can think
- 29:07through as well as some journal prompts. I'm very
- 29:11purposeful and passionate, inviting people to write
- 29:15down their own truth and to build a track with that so
- 29:18you'll receive that. And my only request in
- 29:22contributing that gift is to, you know,
- 29:25communicate with me in an email or on LinkedIn. I love
- 29:29receiving these messages from people for the
- 29:33transformation that they've been through and what a difference that's made in
- 29:36their lives and their business. So. So that's my only request with
- 29:40that. And I think the best
- 29:44way to grow your business is to
- 29:48define, declare and design
- 29:52your vision, your big dream.
- 29:56And to spend time daily can
- 30:00even just be five minutes in your imagination,
- 30:03inside your mind to see it and feel it
- 30:07within your mind, your heart and your spirit.
- 30:11Because I believe the universe, you can call it God,
- 30:15you can call it divine, I call it love is waiting for
- 30:19us to create that clarity. And it's up to us
- 30:22to be specific and declare that and claim it.
- 30:26So that's the second thing you can do. The third
- 30:30is to make a commitment right
- 30:34now, in this very moment, in the next few weeks
- 30:38in your networking. Maybe you're meeting on zoom, maybe you're meeting in person.
- 30:45Design your dream team. Choose the people that will be
- 30:48in your circle of influence that are separate than you
- 30:52in their strengths so you can evolve and
- 30:56grow, but also contribute. Because what we
- 31:00give is truly the
- 31:04only thing that we have the opportunity of receiving.
- 31:09I absolutely agree. And for those of you who are not used to
- 31:13journaling, I had someone
- 31:16who said, which was really wonderful, I
- 31:20wanted to journal, so it was for
- 31:24analysis and that's not really the purpose of it. And
- 31:28so I would challenge you to try to do this for 21 days and see
- 31:31a change and do it differently. Thank you so much. I am going
- 31:35to do this because I don't tend to journal about anything
- 31:39anymore. And. But I definitely believe
- 31:4221 days is not just because it's the time frame for a
- 31:46habit, but also because if you think of 21 days as a
- 31:50month, you get 15, 21 day months of the year
- 31:53and you can faster. All right, so
- 31:58here's the question. When was the last time you did something new for the first
- 32:02time? Well, I,
- 32:06what I did was I looked at something on LinkedIn
- 32:10and I said, I'm going to go to that event. So then I asked
- 32:14the woman who was putting it on, which was an 18 hour
- 32:18flight to get there,
- 32:21if, if I could speak on that stage.
- 32:26So it was a spur of the moment decision and
- 32:30it was life changing for me to fly to that city,
- 32:33speak on that stage and meet the
- 32:37people that I met, who I am still connected with and receive.
- 32:41They're part of my dream team now. So
- 32:45it was, you know, just a thought, an action.
- 32:50I'm going. So, you know, I think that it's
- 32:53just another example for me in listening to that internal voice on what
- 32:57calls me forward. You know, it's. It's taken a
- 33:01risk. The rewards I receive from that are still
- 33:06priceless. I think sometimes we.
- 33:11You have to listen to your gut and just whatever.
- 33:15All right. Before we run out of time, I hate to do this, but I
- 33:19want to say to you, to everybody, as a first step pre,
- 33:23please subscribe and share and engage on social media about the
- 33:26podcast. Share it with your friends. And the reason I do this is
- 33:30I want to give you ways to supercharge your business through this community
- 33:34and connection. And it's my way of giving back and
- 33:38sharing some of the wonderful people that I've met and help you to fuel
- 33:41your growth and impact. So I hope you'll continue to join me for the
- 33:45one small change on a regular basis. And in addition to
- 33:49these great interviews and time, people are giving us a
- 33:53couple times a year, I always do a quarterly
- 33:56clarity call, you know, chat where I talk about things
- 34:00that I think are coming up, are important in the quarter and
- 34:03trends that can help you build your business. And so take a look
- 34:07at that and see what you can get. Carolyn,
- 34:11what are your last words of wisdom you want to leave us with?
- 34:15I want to let you know that
- 34:19love is really all there is and that
- 34:22thinking, living, and leading above the line
- 34:26is the key to our freedom, to our
- 34:29prosperity, to our reaching,
- 34:33our infinite potential, joy and experience
- 34:37of fulfillment and freedom in life. So, you know,
- 34:40just dedicate yourself, make a decision,
- 34:44be decided to live this incredible life that
- 34:48you have the opportunity to do. And one thing I didn't
- 34:51mention, I'd love people to come to my podcast, which
- 34:55is love inspired leadership. So I
- 34:59invite you to go check out my podcast, too.
- 35:04We love it. We love the, the give and take.
- 35:07Absolutely. And, and I think
- 35:12the other piece, I probably shouldn't put this in, but the other piece that
- 35:15I think is important is the world keeps changing, and so it's
- 35:19important to be relevant. I mean, if you never change, you will
- 35:23be so far behind. But that's part of the my, my thing.
- 35:27So just remember that change is simple, but it's not always easy.
- 35:31And it does require courage and resilience and a willingness to step
- 35:34outside your comfort zone. If you don't change, if you aren't aware of
- 35:38what's going on, the rest of the world is moving. And if you aren't moving
- 35:42with it, you're going to be left behind, you're going to stagnate.
- 35:46And if you have something to give to the world, then you, you owe it
- 35:49to the people that you can help to, to make sure that
- 35:53you're out there and showing them what can be done. So I hope
- 35:57you'll continue to join me on the one small change as we embark on
- 36:00this journey and, you know, we look for innovative possibilities.
- 36:04Until the next time, please stay very, very curious.
- 36:08Carolyn, thank you so much. My
- 36:11pleasure, my dear. Thanks. Bye.
